10 Signs That America Is Decomposing Right In Front Of Our Eyes

The decay of society is so much harder to quantify than economic decline is.  The government keeps lots of statistics on things like unemployment and inflation, but it really does not keep track of how sick and twisted people are becoming.  Most of us recognize that the character of the American people has changed dramatically over the decades, but unlike the national debt, you can’t easily point to a chart or a graph to show exactly how bad things are getting.  In this article, my approach will be to point you to various “signs” of social decay.  Signs tell us where we are at now and where we are headed.  Some of the signs that I will use will be statistics while others will simply consist of anecdotal evidence.  Yes, anecdotal evidence is not perfect, but when you put enough of it together it starts to paint a pretty clear picture of what is going on out there.  America is becoming a truly frightening place.  Our cities our decaying, thieves are becoming bolder, you never know who you can trust and everyone seems depressed.  America is decomposing right in front of our eyes, and it is time that we all admitted it.

In the old days, if you met a stranger out on the streets you knew that you could almost certainly trust that person.  But these days if you let your child wander one aisle over while you are shopping at Wal-Mart there is a chance that someone will try to abduct her.

Something has changed.

In our major cities, if you walk up to someone at random there is a decent chance that person will be a pervert or a sicko, and most Americans know that this is true at a gut level.  Almost everyone is very leery of “strangers” these days.  It has gotten to the point where we are all afraid of one another.

Just try this some time….

In a major U.S. city, walk right up to people on the street, look them in the eyes and try to introduce yourself.

What will happen when you do that?

In many instances, people will literally run away from you.

We are scared to death to interact with people that we do not know, and the reality is that those fears are way too often justified.

The character of the American people is decaying at a rapid pace, and the evidence of this is all around us.

The following are 10 signs that America is decomposing right in front of our eyes….

#1 As the economy crumbles, in many U.S. cities desperate people are increasingly resorting to violent acts in an attempt to survive.  So far this year, violent crime in Washington D.C. has risen by 40 percent.  Robberies at gunpoint have more than doubled compared to the same time period last year.

And as I wrote about recently, justifiable homicide in Detroit rose by a staggering 79 percent during 2011, and the rate of self-defense killings in Detroit is now 2200% above the national average.

#2 But it is not just in the cities where you will find crazies.  A recent Daily Mail article described a very disturbing incident which took place recently in North Dakota.  Two crack-fueled perverts abducted and murdered a 43-year-old math teacher named Sherry Arnold….

Spell and Waters had left Colorado days before the crime claiming they wanted work in eastern Montana and western North Dakota’s oil fields.

After smoking crack cocaine over the entire trip, Waters allegedly told Spell the drug ‘brought the devil out in him’ and began talking about kidnapping and killing a female, AP reports.

After they spotted Arnold, Spell claims that Waters told him to ‘grab the lady’ and pull her into their Ford Explorer as she jogged by.

After they got Arnold into the car, they choked her to death and then buried her body in a shallow grave in North Dakota.

Why would anyone do something like that?

#3 Unfortunately, sickos will even be found working for the government.  Just as so many of us feared, TSA workers are actually purposely selecting attractive women to go through the body scanners so that they can admire their naked bodies.  The following are actual quotations from official TSA complaints….

-“I feel I was targeted by the TSA employee to go through the see-you-naked machine because I am a semi-attractive female.”

-“The screener appeared to enjoy the process of picking someone rather than doing true random screening. I felt this was inappropriate. A woman behind me was also “randomly selected.”

-“TSA staff ‘trolling’ the lines looking for people to pull out was unprofessional.”

-“I know he went to that room to see my naked body through the machine with the other guy.”

-“When I looked around, I saw that there were only women that were “told” to go through this machine. There were no men.”

One woman was recently forced to go through the body scanner three times because the TSA workers wanted to get a really good look at her “cute figure“.

Isn’t about time that we admitted that the TSA is a massive failure?

#4 The American people seem more depressed than ever.  So are we the most depressed nation in the entire world?  The U.S. has the highest percentage of women taking antidepressants of any country in the world, and kids in the U.S. are three times more likely to be prescribed antidepressants than kids in Europe are.

#5 The gang problem in the United States has never been worse.  According to the FBI, the number of gang members in the United States has risen by 40 percent since 2009 and there are now a total of 1.4 million gang members living inside this country.

#6 Millions of other young people are not able to find jobs once they finish school and end up financially dependent on their parents.  Today, record numbers of young adults are living at home.  Many of these young people end up very disillusioned and very frustrated.  Right now, more than 30 percent of all Americans in the 18 to 34 age bracket are currently living at home with their parents.  That is not good news for the future of this country.

#7 All over America, criminals are becoming bolder and more desperate.  The following is a report about one serial home invader from the Washington Post….

A housekeeper was tied up and sexually assaulted and a mother and teenage son were tied up during a home invasion in Bethesda early Wednesday morning that Montgomery County police say involves the same suspect as in a home invasion Tuesday in Wheaton.

As the economy gets even worse, home invasions will become even more common.  You might want to learn how to defend yourself.

#8 These days thieves will steal literally anything.  Each night in cities all over the nation more street lights are going out as thieves strip the copper wiring right out of them. In the San Francisco area, one very ambitious group of thieves actually swiped a copper bell that weighs 2.7 tons.

#9 One of the clearest signs that America is decomposing is the stunning decline of major cities such as Detroit.  In response to my recent article about the death of Detroit, a reader identified as Bill posted the following….

Seeing what is happening to Detroit makes me want to cry AND scream.

I’m a native Detroiter myself – born in Harper Hospital on the east side & was one of those 2 million plus counted in the 1950 Census. I left Detroit in the early 70s for work reasons and had not gone back there since 1984.

When I drove through there on my way to Port Huron last September I “made a lap” around the city – got off I-75 downtown, made a loop around the downtown area (the 2 new stadiums look nice as does the RenCen) then went out Michigan Avenue to 12th and up through the 1967 Riot area to Grand River and out to the northwestern part of town where I grew up and went to school.

What a depressing trip. All my old haunts are gone, boarded up or burnt to the ground. The car dealer where I bought my first car (the old “Redford Rambler” on Grand River just west of Evergreen) is nothing but a slab. All the car dealers along the Grand River strip from Evergreen to McNicoles (6 Mile Rd.) are gone, the 16th Precinct Police Station at GR & Mc Nicholes is abandoned and the high school where my cousin graduated is all boarded up (Redford High School, across Grand River from the old police station). My old house on Lasher just north of Grand River is there but the stores in the area are all gone. One would think space aliens had come and taken all the life out of the area.

On that same article, another reader identified as “Disappointed” shared his thoughts on the decline of that once great city….

I worked in Detroit for a few years a while back. I was fascinated by the crumbling ruins, drove around to see a lot of them after work (a couple of times I drove through neighborhoods that I can tell you now I would not go near, even in the daytime). It was sad and fascinating at the same time. I would not even THINK of doing that now, it would be highly dangerous. I would not even work in Detroit now.

#10 But it isn’t just Detroit that is falling apart.  This kind of thing is happening all over the country.  A reader identified as Golden Child recently left the following comment on my website….

Much of America is like Detroit. America is rotting from California to West Virginia to Baltimore. It’s the same song across the United States. High unemployment, falling rent and or house prices, massive police lay-offs, giant spikes in crime accompanied by a rising cost of living and fewer job opportunities. Vallejo and Oakland, California are very much like Detroit. Vallejo ranked as the ninth most miserable city in America according to Forbes. Oakland and Vallejo have laid off nearly half of their police forces. You can get an apartment in Vallejo or Oakland for $200-600 a month although the median monthly rent in California is well over a thousand dollars with Bay Area rent being generally higher. There is a reason why rent is so comparably dirt cheap in those cities. San Francisco-Oakland-Vallejo collectively make up the car-theft capital of the United States. Northern CA cities like Oakland, Richmond and Stockton are regulars on the top ten most dangerous cities in America list. Baltimore, MD is also very much like Detroit with its thousands of abandoned rowhomes, high concentration of Black poverty, drugs and violence. Camden, NJ, East St. Louis, Gary Indiana are all no different from the D. Even large sections of wealthy world class cities like DC, NYC and San Francisco are impoverished quasi-third world hellholes. Southeast DC has the highest unemployment rate of anywhere in America despite the fact that DC is the richest city and metro in America. NYC has the widest income inequality gap of any metro area. Massive swaths of NYC are dangerous towering project buildings packed with working poor minorities. SF is home to some of the most sub-standard public housing in America in neighborhoods like Hunter’s Point, Sunnydale and Potrero Hill. America has been rotting from the core since at least the 70′s.

Sadly, this is just the beginning.

As the economic decline of this nation accelerates, people are going to become much more desperate.

And desperate people do desperate things.

So where do all of you think America is headed?  Please feel free to post a comment with your opinion below….

I wanted to post a couple of new comments from the readers.  These are more firsthand examples of what life is like on the streets of America today….

This evening I had to pick my daughter up from work,a fast food restaurant in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. My daughter came out later than expected so I had to sit in the car for about forty minutes waiting. While waiting a man walked up to my car and reached for the door handle, thankfully I had the doors locked, he started tapping on the window, I drove off went around the block and parked again to wait for my daughter. A little while later an elderly man with a cane, who appeared to be homeless, shuffled along the sidewalk, he saw me sitting in the car and he came up and tapped on the window, fortunately at that moment my daughter came out of work so I pulled up and picked her up and we got out of town. It was creepy, this was downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, a city with a population of around 300,000, I was shocked! I do not want my daughter coming out of work at night into this kind of environment, I will be contacting the owner of the business to let them know that it is not a safe environment for young people to have to walk to their cars after dark.

My wife and I were discussing this exact thing. A young girl in our quiet Arkansas town met a local guy off the internet she ended up dead on his family farm in a 55 gal drum…..Who does this? We live in a town of 4000 where we all know each other, a man walked into a little shop 3 weeks ago and raped the woman behind the counter. My wife and I consider where we live very safe compared to most of America. Yet we never go anywhere that we are not both carrying a pistol. That is what is so different between todays depression and the great depression. Most people would not hurt or kill you for food or goods. They were more apt to suffer quietly or sneak and get a chicken. It is just the opposite today they are being told everyday they are owed food and goods. The only reason they don’t have them is because the rich have it all, so you should take it from them. I guess that makes most of us that have worked 60 hours a week for the last 25 or 30 years the rich evil people. This is not going to get better regardless of the President both sides have supported the moral decay. God help us!

    “.Who does this ?”
Some here wont like this…but its increasing demonic activity. There are many causes.
Jesus commented on this 26 times in the Gospels.
If you want the secular, try all the killings in movies (have you seen Saw 1,2,3,4 ?),powerful mind alerting drugs, abortion on demand, music,
gay agenda to destroy the traditional family …on and on.

    • virginia jarvis

I fail to see how the gay ‘agenda’ would cause any harm. Let them marry. A commited relationship will keep them home and not spreading disease.
Please explain how anything gays do is going to harm society or me???? You are just using fear to control my mind and get my vote for you sick brand of pervert.
Some of you make me wish my mom had succeeded in aborting me instead of leaving me crippled to cope with this irrational and cruel crowd.

  • Craig A. Myers

Ezekiel 38 & 39 will soon be fulfilled. When Israel attacks Iran, as it must to survive, Russia and America will destroy each other in a nuclear exchange. The cities (and their inhabitants) will be burned up. Their evil souls will end up in Hell, to await the Great White Throne Judgment some 1000 years hence. Some of the “sheep”, from the Sheep & Goats Judgment after our Lord’s Return, will repopulate the United States. We will truly be a Nation Under God. The rebuilt cities will reflect that.

    • Gary2

I think Gog should attack Israel and Magog should attack Iran. Problem solved! See how easy that was.

    • anti-religion

I imagine that, as an a-typical end-times religionist, the hellish scenario you paint would satisfy your blood lust, eh? It’s perfectly OK to conjure up prophetic images of some Armageddon where millions upon millions of humans, animals, flora and fauna are all incinerated in a nuclear war, so long as it fulfills the whims of your judgmental, ego-maniacal, sadist god. Nice.

      Here’s the reality…
I believe you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, nor the devastating, far reaching and environmental consequences of full scale thermonuclear war, which would leave this planet uninhabitable for thousands, if not millions of years. So much for the meek, much any living thing at all inheriting the earth, huh? Now go out there and win some more souls for Christ, but don’t flatter yourself into believing that you can convince these poor lost souls to love god, or else..

      • WM

anti-religion: I agree with you that “Craigs” assertion is a little over the top. However, there are some things that are true. The Bible is a revelation of the living creator/God to us. He is loving and merciful, BUT he is ALSO a Holy, righteous judge that hates sin and will judge the human race one day. If we have broken his law, and have never repented and turned to the forgiveness that is found only in Jesus, we will spend eternity in Hell. I know you don’t want to hear that. This revelation disturbes me also, I wish it were not in there. But it is. Gos is who he is and we cannot change that. Problem is most people “create their own god”, ( a violation of the commandment) and will not accept that God will judge anyone or send anyone to eternal Hell. Many today want to believe that Jesus is the blue eyed, blonde haired surfer Jesus, but he is not. He is coming one day to tread the wine press of wrath upon earth, so please consider these things today, thats all I ask.

By the way, the earth will not be destroyed, it may get pretty messed up, but not destroyed until after the millinial reighn of Jesus.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you now Exhibit Z: Decline of American Society in 50 Years (now whipping out clip board and iPad):

1962: The Flintstones. 2012: Family Guy.
1962: Elizabeth Taylor. 2012: Lindsay Lohan
1962: Vibrant space program. 2012: What space program?
    1962: I Love Lucy. 2012: Desperate Housewives.
1962: The Ed Sullivan Show. 2012: American Idol.
1962: Hula-Hoops. 2012: You people actually did that?

I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

(that’s just from a societal and cultural standpoint. Things are undeniably better now than then, in the fields of science and medicine, I’m not disputing that at all.)

    • Rick_H

      You’re points are valid. But-
      “1962:Elizabeth Taylor.2012:Lindsay Lohan”
Elizabeth Taylor was also a drunk and pill abuser, although later in life than Ms. Lohan.

As far as the manned “space program” is concerned, I agree with Obama. It’s a total waste of money.

      • mondobeyondo

I agree about Liz Taylor – she certainly had her issues. Anyone who’s married for 7 times (or is it 8?) has got some personal problems. Probably more than just drugs.

But the space program has certainly NOT been a waste of money! That is absolute nonsense. Much of the technology we use and enjoy today, are direct by-products of NASA’s research and development.

The Internet wouldn’t exist without satellites, put in place by NASA rockets. No Velcro. No energy conserving materials. No Teflon.

And oh yeah, there’d be no Tang, either. I never did like the stuff. Orange juice is much better.

  • Ribiddeydo

Funny, there is no mention of race in this article.

America was 90% White, now it is 65% White and the coming White minority is calculated and is celebrated.

Yet all brown countries are poor, and people are terrorized if they mention the obvious race issues.

    • Gary2

I read an interesting article which says people are black/brown the closer they (ansesters) live to the equator and the farther people live they have whiter skin. Think Scandinavian/N. European.

It was because of the need to make vitamin D and available sunlight. Limited sunlight in the north whiter skin. Much more direct sunlight closer to equator-darker skin skin.

      Interesting theory!

    • Jason

      You beat me to it.

Any article about the lowered moral standards and increase in violence and crime in America that does not at least discuss race, is being intellectually dishonest.

Blacks and hispanics commit crime and violence WAY out of proportion to their numbers. And it doesn’t matter which part of the world they are in, either. Detroit or Mogadishu, Haiti or New York, it’s always the same.

Demographics don’t lie….they just get ignored.

      • virginia jarvis

Honey it’s because they get the short end of the stick the most and that shortens there temper. If you tried it you’d know.

    • mondobeyondo

      Wow, that sounds really racist.

Okay, in your defense… (take deep breath, Mondo)

Much of sub-Saharan Africa is ruled by black leaders. With very few exceptions, these countries are poor, with starving populations.

      Now, in MY defense…

These people never had the opportunity of education and advancement that we have in the Western world. They are trapped. If they knew more, they’d do more. But the international banking system and global enterprises are working against sub-Saharan Africa. In other words – THEY AREN’T ALLOWED, OR CANNOT AFFORD, TO KNOW!!)

      (i.e. SLAVERY..!!)

Literal personal slavery. Or financial slavery, such as it is, when your kids have to harvest cocoa beans in Cote D’Ivoire to make ends meet.

Global enterprises, huh? Think Hershey’s and Nestle.

  • karen

People don’t realize what made this country great in the first place. It is because we put God in it. We made him Lord. God will bless any nation that will make him Lord. We receive the same blessing as old testament Israelites. When they stopped worshiping God and turned to other religions their morals went down. God started to take things away and if they didn’t repent God sent another nation to take them away. By taking God out of schools and restricting christianity the morals decline. God is cursing our food supply, jobs, health and money. If we don’t repent we might end up with another Hitler, bring us to a oneworld government or be owned by another country.

    • anti-religion

I realize you see the world through the filter of narrow religiosity. But the truth is not so black and white. All empires collapse, eventually, and what we’re seeing in the US today is simply the inevitable consequences of a capitalist system which was doomed to fail even before the signers of the Declaration dipped their feathered pens in ink. Capitalism makes luxuries into necessities. That the century of war just happened to coincide with the establishment of the US central bank, better known as the Fed, is no illusion. The US has become a war-for-profit mega-corporation.

Crimes For Survival Aren’t Crimes At All
    (Philosophically Pragmatic Discourse)
    By Eric V. Encina

“I don’t intent to violate the laws for the sake of violation, but for survival.” – Eric V. Encina

An act becomes a crime when it is against the law. When (if) there’s no law, there’s no crime at all. All acts are a result of living nature. What about, if acts, according to definitions of law, are criminal when the time of the commission, are under the survival circumstances? An instance of this, is robbery. Do we give more importance to law than survival? If we will obey the law and yet and yet our survival is at stake, then what is the question of preponderance, priority and the highest order?

Is law more important than survival? Or is survival more than important than law?

Can we survive without adherence and obedience to law? What if following the law becomes impossible for survival?

Laws are not absolute when and if the issues are about survival. Survival takes precedence, a primordial objective than obeying the law.

No one should be punished or imprisoned for the commission of crimes on the reasons or basis of mere survival. Survival of one’s life is more preponderant than obeying law. Hence, obeying law is futile if survival is at stake. Do we need to obey law at the expense of life and or when survival is taken for granted?

If all survival chances for humanity are at stake, then we should gradually ignore or disobey or even defy the law. Permanent or partial disobedience of law does not matter. It is a matter of pragmatism. Any act for survival is a matter of pragmatic initiative for life preservation whether it is against the law or not.

What are the laws that support survival? And what are the laws that don’t support survival?

    1. The Laws of Nature
    2. The Laws of the Divine (The Laws of God)
are therefore laws with infallibility to be obeyed with absolute immutability.

However, laws that are subject to mutability, changeability, by necessity and or by contingency, for obedience, not by compulsory or mandatory, for survival, are the following below:

    1. Civil Laws
    2. Government Laws
    3. Political Laws
    4. Economic Laws particularly the Law of Supply and Demand
    5. Banking-Public/Private/Central Banking Laws
    6. International Laws
    7. Certain Church Laws such as Canon Laws subject to contestability, contention and disputability
    8. Laws such as Marriage Laws, immigration laws and all other laws that are subject to times.

Obedience to such laws are not required for absolute obedience if the human race survival is at stake such as the situation now in the world. The real and the most pragmatic law is the LAW OF SURVIVAL because it’s about life. Life is sacred.

All man-made laws are futile, useless, if survival is in question or at great risk. It would be better to violate laws than obey them if for the sake of survival. For example, BANKING LAWS OR TAX LAWS – these laws are useless and even criminal to obey if and when life survival is at stake.

Therefore, if and when the question of survival is at the pangs of death, then, by pragmatic contingency reasons, other than logical points, the law of survival must prevail and therefore must defy, ignore and violate the laws. Violation of laws does not mean an objective violation per se, but a matter of survival. An example of this is the law governing the mandatory presidential decree of payments of interest to private and foreign banks at the expenses of the lives of the poor populations. Therefore, this law must be repudiated and even be scrapped.

Most laws today, although tested by time and history, now become ipfo facto obsolete, and are no longer working and applicable for human betterment but hostile and inimical for survival.

I don’t advocate lawlessness, but if and when laws become cruel, hostile, inutile, futile and become obstacle for human survival, then we have to disobey, challenge, dispute, defy and even, if not to modify and or amend, to scrap them.

Being a law-abiding citizen is very legalistic and wrong and no longer infallibly applicable in the modern world. Breaking the law to survive is a sign of expediency, not the sign of intrinsic evil.

My present position is that obey the laws that support your survival but break those laws that do not support your survival.

It’s your (our) survival and or your life subsistence that matters now, and not the laws – that oftentimes protect and harbor the powerful few and the moneyed-peoples in the world while despising the poor and the needy. Laws have become the tool for injustice and not for justice.

Anyone can be good and sane enough even by breaking laws for the sake of survival.

    Eric V. Encina

    • madsr

I would have to disagree with your statement. When you say rob to survive then I assume you understand that the person being robbed wants to survive also. Therefore I will kill the person robbing me!! Robbing and stealing to survive is a lazy persons lie. Through out the history of the world those people who take from people who work the earth and grow food or raise cattle so that their family can eat, well the person who steals from them is the lower than dirt. Working and struggling to survive will be my choice. I will choose to starve over stealing someone elses food. But your statement is in line with our world today its all about ME the hell with everyone else. You are not only calling for civil unrest, but civil war….

    • virginia jarvis

Yes Humans are neither good nor evil – only what they do is good or evil and that depends on your point of view.

  • Rick_H

I do not understand how anybody can justify the legality of semi-automatic pistols, rifles and assault weapons with high-capacity magazines.
Back when society was more civilised these weapons were not around.

Rick, “We the People” had GREATER access to the weapons you speak of back when our society was more civilized! The difference was that back then, criminals went to jail, and murderers were executed. And the rest of us got to breath easier, and we could leave our doors unlocked.

      • Rick_H

What are you talking about?. When the 2nd Amendment was written the rate of fire for a gun was probably 2 rounds a minute. It would of been impossible to commit the mass-murder/ shooting-sprees that happen these days.

        • WM

Ok, so guns are the problem right? Lets try to go back to muskets and see if crime will drop. This is ridiculous. In the 18th C. Virtually everyone had a rifle in their home, and young kids were taught to shoot. Many homes had several guns due to reloading speed.

Your anti-gun comments are very clear, and you are not looking to the root cause, rather you are viewing the instruments as the cause.

I guess modern cars are more deadly than those in the 1930’s due to reason they can travel a lot faster?

The issue is a heart/moral issue. mass murder and shooting sprees are a moral issue. I agree with you a semi auto rifle or hand gun is very effective, but is simple a labor saving device. Look at how much crime there was in the world before semi autos, (revolvers, lever action, bolt action, etc), and even before guns were available. Statistics have PROVEN that where there are strict gun laws, there is more crime.

12 gauge pump shotguns have been around for many years, even when our society was more civilized. They fire quickly, and are very rapidly reloaded. The destruction that a slug or 00 buck does is overwhelming.

Then we have botl action sniper rifles….slower shooting than an AR-15 for example, but very deadly in .308 caliber. I could go on and on and on.

When a couple bad guys are invading your home at night with intent to rob, rape, torture and murder you and your family, you are going to wish you had a firearm that has more capacity than just a couple shots before reloading.

The Chesire, CT home invasion several years ago, that made national news was a great example that if Dr. Petit had a firearm, his family would not have been raped, tortured, murdered and burnt…….

    • Lennie Pike

I bet you can’t. Most people do believe they have the right to defend themselves and their loved ones.

I don’t understand how anybody can justify the illegality of fully automatic firearms – with large capacity magazines of course.

      • Lennie Pike

I bet you are in favor of the military and police having these weapons so that they can protect you, so morally speaking, what’s the difference if they use them to protect you, or you use them to protect yourself?

You may need to legally defend yourself someday when they’re not around, or worse case scenario – when they are.

      • Rick_H

Fully-automatic weapons and large capacity semi-autos are not needed for self-defense. They are offensive weapons designed to kill lots of people efficiently.
A person can defend themselves, their family and home with revolvers and shotguns. In fact Colt AR-15? and such are terrible self-defense weapons in the home, apartment or anywhere else.
Hearing a pump-action shotgun being readied would be enough to turn around any burglar.

        • Lennie Pike

You’re right about that when it comes to burglars.

        • WM

I agree with you on this point all the way, and I am pro-gun in my views. An AR-15 is a blast to shoot, but not needed for home protection.

Keep in mind that the 2nd Ammendmend intended us to be armed to fight tyranny. When the “government” has AR-15’s and M4’s, and should we ever have to protect ourselves against police state, take over, etc. What would be better: a shot gun or semi auto AR-15 with multiple 30 round mags?

Lets say you were a business owner doing inventory in the basement of your downtown business in downtown Los Angeles, you were right in the middle of the LA riots trying to get home from you business while the city burns around you, an AR-15 or high capacity semi auto hand gun with multiple mags would be a very effective “tool” in assuring your safe exit from the city.

Its better to have a gun and never have to use it, then to not have one and be in a life/death situation where you could use one.

    • M2245th

Well Ricky boy we didn’t have human waste running around stealing, raping, and killing either. I suggest you get yourself a gun and learn how to use it. That’s if you still live here in the USA. It just might save your life and or family someday when you have to reason with some human garbage. How many times do we have to go over this? Guns don’t kill people. People kill people.

  • Billy

Although many comments are correct many are missing the point. In every society that has ever existed in the history of the world, regardless of what type of government it had, be it communist, socialist, dictatorship, democratic, kingdom, or whatever, they always eventually degenerated to the point where only a few people benefited and force had to be used to maintain the status quo. The old saying “so goes the king so goes the nation” means rot starts from the head and goes down, the condition this country and it’s society is a byproduct of what is happening at the top of our national society. This can be said due to historical examples seen over and over again, it has been the rule not the exception, and the predictable aspects of human nature like greed and love of power exhibited by those who were responsible are typical. You can also note that politics never solved a nation’s problems, only a return to morality. This is not a statement of religion but a rational one. Our country is full of politics but our social and economic situation is a mess. The standards of social morality that held the government and society in check was that source. As morality declines more force, more rules, more restrictions, and so on will be necessary to maintain that which will ultimately be untenable.

I live near Oakland. It was once a prosperous city, with many industries, from auto, plane and ship building, to canneries and textiles. Here is a brochure from circa 1917 with photos of new homes and industries for history buffs.

Today, it is a smaller version of Detroit. The industries are gone, the roads are falling apart, and some schools are being shut down. Downtown is full of empty storefronts. I was looking at open homes out of curiosity and homes in bad neighborhoods are in the $200-$300K range!

The entire bay area is full of bad roads and empty storefronts, although it’s not as bad off as Southern Cal or the inland areas. Companies in Silicon Valley, the peninsula and San Francisco are doing well, although most of the IT industry is dominated by Indian “body shops” like Tata, Infosys, and Wipro, and Americans have mostly been forced out of high tech professions.

G-d raised up the USA for a purposes. We developed airplanes so Jews can return to Israel, have sent more missionaries around the world to spread the Good News of the Gospel because most of the world can speak English, we have created the Internet to help spread the Gospel but can also be used by the Anti-christ to track the Mark of the Beast. Then we took prayer out of schoolsin the 60’s & morals went downhill from then. We turned our backs on G-d & told Him we don’t need Him so He has taken His hand of protection & blessings off of us & let us do as we please. We sure can see where that has gone… Abortions have killed babies that may have developed better things for all of us, but we didn’t think we needed them. We have done this to ourselves! In the Fullness of Time Messiah will return for those that are ready & looking for His return. Are you ready??? Man spends more time planning a week vacation than planning where he’ll spend ETERNITY, & that’s a lot longer! Its not this life that’s important, it’s the next life. Stop, drop & roll won’t help in Hell!

  • VyseLegendaire

Reading this article, its tempted to think Mike is really exaggerating, but hes just being honest here! Things really are spiraling out of control… at this point, I honestly think a great depression would be the best case scenario. As it stands, we’re looking at downright social collapse.

A compost heap is a vital part of organic gardening.

A rainforest only has this abundance of flora and fauna because everything is decomposing within the forest, providing valuable nutrients to growing things.

So we should look at what positives we can take out of this decomposition. Maybe all those things that are decomposing right now are not really necessary? Or they are dead anyway, just facade to appear beautiful, without substance behind?

Do you really need a 6000sqft house with 20 foot high ceilings, or would 20 square meter per person be enough? And the ceiling in a convenient 2.30m height, that doesn’t let too much heat escape to where nobody needs it.

What Rhynn said!! The only color that matters now is moneygreen. People are s.l.o.w.l.y. beginning to see that.

  • Melaniki58

Sigh. I guess it would be amusing if it were not so predictable and sad that repeatedly, you name the cities and conditions that primarily center around black people, including in your reader’s commentary of “black poverty” not “American poverty.” White people, no matter how fair you try to be, simply cannot help racializing everything negative that happens in the world. You speak of “American cities” but you highlight the ones that are predominantly black. You do this all the time and I don’t think you are even conscience of it. I agree about the state of America, and was exposing it 30 years ago when times were good. It is just the natural injustice so unique to white people that I can’t abide. And the complete blindness to the fact that this is a monster of your own making. “You don’t get it do you, Morbeus? That thing out there is YOU! Your subconscious.” And so it is that “Fate has terrible power, that cannot be escaped by wealth or war. Ships cannot outrun it, nor forts keep it out.” This end was written the moment the ships landed. You wrote it. Peace.

History repeats itself. Look up Procopius of Caesarea: The Secret History. Take out the Roman names and replace with American names as you spot the similarities.

  • Ima Supermom

People posting here are blaming everything and everyone. It’s the Jews fault, it’s the Christians fault, it’s the black people’s fault, blah, blah, blah! It’s just exactly what God said it would be! Jesus told us about it! Matthew 24! In the end times they will be calling evil good and good evil! (Isaiah 5:20. Woe to those who do it!)They said, ‘Get God out of the schools and out of government’. So He left and allowed them to be taken over by their sin. Now they live together and have children without marriage, murder un-born babies to the tune of millions every year in the name of “planned parenthood” and economic or personal convenience, their children are starting to have sex at age 8 in some cases, they’re addicted to drug before they get out of tehir teen years, they get handed condoms and are told “if you’re going to have fun, at least play safe”, we feed them violent video games, sex laced sitcoms and commercials and then we all sit back and wonder what’s happening in the world? We’re calling good evil and evil good and NO ONE sees the problem with this!!!!! God said it in the very beginning when He flooded the earth, “The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Gen.6:5 ESV) Men’s thoughts are evil all the time now, too. God promised to never destroy the earth by flood again but if you take even a cursory glance around you, you’ll clearly see that He IS gearing up to destroy it again! It doesn’t take a genius to see that fact!

    • Tim

Yes, the Lord is going to destroy the earth again, but it will be by fire.

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” (2 Peter 3:10)

But the righteous have a glorious future to look forward to.

“Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” (2 Peter 3:13)

      Even so, Come Lord Jesus!

    Here’s my experience:

We currently live in a middle class suburb of Phoenix. Several weeks back a police officer was shot and killed by a drug dealer just three blocks from my house.

Last week when I was picking up my children from their church-run charter school, a derranged half-dressed, barefoot woman began yelling at me across the parking lot that she needed to use my cell phone and it was an emergency. The voice mail message was for her “baby daddy” that the baby was being taken by CPS because another household member was being investigated for MURDER, (although I suspect the fact that she was clearly a Meth-head or something probably had a lot to do with it too). After she wandered off, my seven year-old informed me that was not some random homeless person but one of his classmate’s MOTHER!!!!!!

Needless to say we hoping to be able to move farther out of the vally by summer, but until then, we just have to cope. God help us all.

Where I live it is very small and rural. You can still strike up a conversation with strangers in the stores and enjoy the friendly banter. But people like me who have lived here all of their lives are starting to notice that the town isn’t as friendly as it once was…in fact we have a lot of rude and self-centered people around here now. Sadly, a sign of the times.

This is a System of Domination which has three main objectives, one of which is “to hide from public opinion how the world really works, knowing that IF WE CANNOT PROPERLY UNDERSTAND AND DIAGNOSE THE SOURCE OF OUR PROBLEMS AND WEAKNESSES, THEN WE CAN HARDLY EXPECT TO FIND THE PROPER SOLUTIONS TO THEM”! Someone posted about a ‘foreign country based on LIES’ and that a fake war will ensue. Of course they were too chicken to say “Israel”. Israelboth ancient and modern, is the only TRUE nation ever established by God Himself on this planet. America had Christians in it from its inception, but was never a Christian nation. The founding fathers were Freemansons.

The entire problem is spiritual and will be solved spiritually in the final analysis.

The “victims” response to the whole TSA scanner machines really annoys me. Where is personal responsibility. You don’t HAVE to go through the scanner!! You can ask for a pat down instead. You might not like this but it is still a CHOICE we have, which is better than none. I ALWAYS ask to have a pat down and smile through the whole thing knowing that they did not get what they wanted: to invade my privacy in a way that can be eternal or more permanent and people can view my picture and treat my image (and me) disrespectfully as they do. So what it someone pats you down. It only takes a minute and I can’t imagine they enjoy touching a member of the same sex who may or may not be attractive to them, but particularly if not attractive. So hey, how about rebellion (that we are allowed) rather than wimpy victimization. And… I liked the suggestion to boycott flying although I realize for many that is not an option unless they quit their jobs.

I’m glad I don’t live in the US…pointless religious arrogance and extremism, racism, imploding society, giving its away wealth and prosperity, etc.

Yes…the US is exceptional but we are finding that it is in a very negative way. Only the US could have the arrogance to write itself up as being exceptional.

I am 100% certain that mumbling to an imaginary being is not going to bring back jobs, etc.

    • VyseLegendaire

The USA is not homogenous. While I’m aware this nation is crumbling overall, it would be ridiculous to claim their is any real social cohesion from state to state. We’ve got all types, and its not all crazy mofos either.

I see that you are blinded by hatred and jealousy. The good news about our country going broke is that if another big country like China or Russia decide to attack your country, we will not be able to help you…and I doubt any other country would have the means to help you either. Does that make you feel a little better? I sure hope so. Of course if that day ever comes, Jesus (or as you call him “imaginary being”) will remove believers like me, so we wont be around the see the smug expression wiped right off of your face.

interesting how the doom and gloomers and survivalists talk about avoiding the ‘big cities’ when the SHTF, yet there are sooo many stories of the SHTF out in the country and suburbia even BEFORE the SHTF in the USA

    • TX4Life

True that the countryside is not immune from criminal activity. However, the close proximity of homes and businesses within the big cities make them easier targets. As gas prices climb, criminals will prefer to hit targets they can reach on foot rather than drive 20 miles out into the country. It’s a game of odds.

  • A fed up teacher

While the US has squandered trillions of dollars on wars “exporting democracy” to backward countries like Afghanistan, the educational system is heading straight to hell.Instead of hiring teachers and investing in our future, the exact opposite is happening. The drop out rate in in inner city high school is way over 50 percent. I have never seen such a lack of disrespect and moral decay in kids today as I have ever seen in my teaching years. I spend more of my time managing behavior problems than I do teaching. Meanwhile democratic politicians who promised “change” have done little or worse than the previous administration. College is less affordable than ever before and out of reach for even the middle class. It’s not too hard to see so many people in this country are so pessimistic about the future. Instead of borrowing less money from China and control needless spending, we are enslaving future generations and heading towards bankruptcy:both morally and financially. I became a teacher to give back to my country and make a difference. God knows it’s not the money, but when you have 3rd graders threatening to kill you and they look like they’re in high school, you know it’s time to get out and abandon ship.

I have watch the events that have happen in America for many years. In my opinion, America is a sad state of affairs. I see an America that will continue to decline from a political point of view, an economic point of view, and a people who moral values are so low today that it will take a miracle to make this country a better place to live, and raise a family.

“After they got Arnold into the car, they choked her to death and then buried her body in a shallow grave in North Dakota.

Why would anyone do something like that?”

Interesting question, I will share with you my provoking thoughts.

People will do these kind of things when they are under influence of wicked forces, in the past these forces were called demons.

Demons can take possession of people when they are empty i.e. when they are not inspired by the Holy Ghost or simpler said: don’t believe in Jesus Christ. How this works is explained in Matthew 12:43-45.

With the abandoning of God (and pursuit of all things that God has forbidden) that started in the 60s, enter the free souls “liberated from the burden of the Christian legacy of the founding fathers”. Between quotes of course because liberation from God always means slavery one way or the other (drugs, sex, love for money, debt, criminality etc).

So we have our free houses, ready to occupy by the demons. Now were come all these demons from? Anton LaVey started the Church of Satan on 30th of April 1966 in San Francisco California, but was already earlier active with satanic rituals. So Satan legally got a place in the USA and brought all his friends with him. My theory is that the number of demons increased tremendously and started occupying all these free souls, resulting in the wretched society we now have.

Most of you must think that I am out of my mind. Then one question:

Why is it that 89% of all porn in the world comes from the USA and California produces most of the porn in the USA? Would any relation with the location of Church of Satan (but also the location of Bohemian Grove) be pure coincidence? Really?

Sorry if I offended anyone – I typically don’t comment online but this comment really threw me off the seat. Not long ago there was an article up here talking about reducing population to 1 Billion or less – the global elite wants to get rid of most of us – well, I’m sorry to say but if there was a system in place that would choose logically then I wonder if it was really such a bad idea.

Damn I’m glad I’m not in the USA.

I’ll second that, I’m glad you’re not here either. We already have enough godless, secular self absorbed individuals. The reason you can’t see the spiritual war between good and evil (or God vs satan) is that you are already on satans team, so he doesn’t have to bother with you because you are his already.

Michael, I heard a scenario the other day that Greece was holding a general election this March or April and that the Communist would win that election and then tell the world they were NOT going to pay anything and did now owe anyone. That would cause the EU to freeze the banks of greece and that would cause Ireland, Portugal, spain to collapse and the EU would then try to contain it by bailing out Italy (which will not work) and then it falls and then the rest of the world will follow suite.
    Have you heard this scenario?
What do you think of it?
Thanks & keep up the good work.

Things seem to be getting worse all the time from reading these articles so how would Canada weather this storm? Michael perhaps?

Canada is going to be in better shape than most because Canada has vast natural resources, but no nation on earth is going to be immune from what is coming.

I had an economics professor in the late 80s who had just finished a lecture on labor elasticity. Of course, most of us were straining to understand. I went up afterwards and asked him a question, based on his lecture: I asked, “If we were to revert to the single income family, where one parent remained home to raise the children, wouldn’t wages necessarily rise and the standard of living necessarily increase?” He replied, “Wages would nearly double, and yes, the standard of living would increase.”
We have been busy creating our personal Utopias at the expense of our children and future generations. The kids saw that we valued money and things more than them. We never spent the requisite time with them to transfer our understanding of morals and how the individual functions in society. We have not supported the family in this nation for some time. We are reaping what we have sown.

“I was trying to go in … and see if somebody could call the police and an ambulance because I couldn’t stand. I had to crawl — I tried two or three times to get up,” Brantley said Saturday. He said he was on way home from Bible study when he stopped to put gas in his 2010 Chrysler 200, which he recently bought to replace another car that had been stolen.

“People were passing me just like I wasn’t there. … I was crawling and they just walk by me like I’m not there,” he said.

These days, you always have to be aware and alert and don’t give an opportunity.

For example, a restaurant owner (for years) in my area was targeted and mugged when going to bring his cash to the bank (out the back door), he sold the restaurant and it has changed hands a few times since.

At a gas station in my area, a woman was pumping gas with her purse on her shoulder and somebody ran through and grabbed her purse and kept running.

I am 35 miles away from Detroit but it happens here too.

They are tearing down some of the abandoned buildings in Pontiac that are used as crack houses, so they are trying to fix it up, but Pontiac lost its police (the County took over) and fire department (the town next door took over) and I worry because I live a heck of a lot closer to Pontiac than I do to Detroit.

Even when I go to a “nice” area to shop, I won’t go after dark anymore, I used to think nothing of that…not anymore.

I am always looking around and watching who is on all sides of me when I am out in public. It is not paranoia, it is the way things are.

#6 Millions of other young people are not able to find jobs once they finish school and end up financially dependent on their parents…

In many cases even their parents are unemployed. So who should get the job?

But this is a DEBT & YOUTH based society. It’s SCREW-THE-OLD-FOLK!

Well, this older person is PISSED! I lost my JOB & lost my HOUSE. And while I was moving out THEY came in before I was done & changed the locks and cleaned out my stuff; it’s not like I was refusing to move. Now the house is sitting empty, my stuff is gone, and the house will probably still be empty years from now.

So there’s another item for you to list – MORTGAGE COMPANIES RAPING & PILAGING PEOPLE!

  • mark branham

OK, the world as we know it is coming to an end!!! Ya’ right. There is only one word to describe such thinking….. bull*********. ain’t gonna happen, at least not the way anyone can imagine. For while all you stuck in the head doomsters out there moan about the end of the world, real people are doing things you can’t imagine.

    read especially about Detroit.

Things are happening that those of you stuck with a mid 20th century mind simply cannot grasp. but, that’s what happens when your stuck focusing on problems rather than living with solutions in mind.

    Good luck with that attitude.

    • Cecilia

I’m sorry that you lost your home. However, your tirade on your post is wrong. The mortgage you signed had the terms listed. Once those terms have been broken by you, you lose your house. You are told when you must be out of your home. If you aren’t out, the bank has every right to change the locks and remove your “abandoned” property.

If they did wrong, sue them. But if you really look at the timeline, you will probably realize that you didn’t do what you were supposed to do by the deadline you had.

The problem with the housing market is that all the liberals wanted to “be nice” and make sure everyone could buy a home. The government forced banks to make the subprime loans. These were loans to people who couldn’t afford to buy a home, but the liberals in D.C, in their infinite wisdom, didn’t care. That unleashed so many more buyers into the mix that prices skyrocketed. The “market” doesn’t care if these people can afford the homes they’re making offers on. So with the increase in buyers, the market became a seller’s market, with people outbidding each other for the homes for sale. When that happens (more buyers than sellers) the prices rise. With the huge injection of new buyers, the prices went up, up and up. Eventually, the prices got so high, the buyers dried up and the market fell.

If this hadn’t happened, you would have been able to sell your home when you couldn’t make the payments. You would have recovered at least some of your equity.

Blame the liberals in Washington DC, expecially Clinton and Barny “Fannie Mae is fine” Frank. And remember, everyone…you get the government you vote into office.

      Good advice for November!!!!!

      • Baily

I’m afraid the problem goes far beyond pedantic Left/Right ideological arguments.

Take a look at this 5 part video series to understand WHY the problem exists and how the crash was the unavoidable result of the banking cartels.

It’s not just the cities. I grew up in a rural community near Knoxville Tennessee in the 80s and 90s. It was nothing for mine and my neighbors folks to let us out to play by ourselves for hours on end, especially during the summer. We’d ride our bikes and explore the woods and fields. I never felt unsafe, and I’m sure my parents wouldn’t have let us out like that if they thought we’d be in serious danger. Now, if I had children, I would be much more worried about letting my kids out like that, even in the same community. Legal drugs, mostly painkillers, have destroyed many once safe rural communities. In the last two years there have been multiple armed robberies, and in one case a trio of men beat an old woman to death in order to get her meds. I used to walk by her house all the time to go fishing when I was a kid…

I drove by my old high school near Philadelphia last year just as it was letting out for the day. There were 3 police cars, and about a dozen other adults that were managing the student. I thought that there was a school shooting or something so I pulled over. I met my old guidence counselor who is now the principal. It turns out that there wasn’t a school shooting. There never had been a school shooting. This is the security that is deployed every day to make sure that there are no problems. Wow.

What you and all the readers of this website are missing and humanity has failed to grasp is the fundamental concept of exponential growth in a finite world. As world population soars past 7 billion ( in a world that only has enough
natural resources for 2 billion people), this concept is the mother of all problems, causing the human race to “turn against each other” as
we compete for a dwindling share of the pie.

I first recognized this all important principle back in 1970 (first earth day) and made a conscious decision to never breed, saving my future children from the nightmare of dividing up smaller and smaller shares of the resources.

I am not some whacked out environmentalist, just a well-educated man who fully understands this one mathematical principle which has an
inexorable effect on mankind’s plight. You are doing a great disservice to your readers if you do not publish an article on this concept and finally expose it to the mainstream media. The 1% already know it and our making sure their offspring will get the most out of the diminishing pie, while the 99% remain ignorant,
brainwashed by mainstream media into thinking that economic growth can go on forever. It can’t. Resources are finite!

    • Michael Hardesty

Utter Malthusian rubbish that has been disproved by the free workings of capitalism since the Industrial Revolution. If we had a fully free laissez-faire capitalism there would no limit to the productive and carrying capacity of the planet. Resources are NOT finite, man’s mind is the resource that makes the production of all other resources, otherwise they lay unused in the ground.
If you are not an environmentalist Communist and are as intelligent as you assert, then you have done the world a great disservice by not having many children. Shame on you ! Your defeatism is the last thing any of us need to hear.

      • Kelby

Michael Hardesty, let me give you a simple but IMPORTANT biology lesson:

In every habitat, there is something called a CARRYING CAPACITY which is the maximum amount of population of animals that can live in that habitat and STILL not run out of resources. Once you go over that capacity, it’s over – water dries out, every tree and piece of vegetation disappears and then some animals either have to move somewhere more abundant or die!

WE HUMANS ARE ANIMALS, TOO, IN A WAY, SO WHY DO WE CONSIDER OURSELVES AN EXCEPTION FROM THAT NATURAL LAW?? Sure we can produce a lot in free capitalism and with our high intelligence and technology, which would increase our carrying capacity for the entire earth, BUT THERE IS STILL A CARRYING CAPACITY THAT WE CLEARLY HAVE EXCEEDED, OTHERWISE PEOPLE WOULDNT BE FIGHTING FOR JOBS, FOOD AND WATER!!

Kudos to you, a.p., for deciding not to have any more kids! Try telling all this to the rest of the sheep!

        • Baily

The rest of us can hear and understand you, but the ‘person’ you are addressing is in all likelihood incapable of comprehending your words. The psychopath’s brain is actually not wired in such a way that facts or logic are able to dislodge the narcissistic ego’s deathgrip on perception.

The best you can hope for is to have this ‘Michael Hardesty’ blink at you uncomprehendingly while his brain reboots, and then hear him repeat his nonsense.

And man! Just take a moment to reread his comment. It simply doesn’t make sense. But it storms ahead without any concern for logic, and we ‘normals’ who are predisposed to automatically assuming that the people we are listening to are the same as us, that their brains work like ours do, and that when they deliver speeches with such force of conviction, that any logical inconsistencies are in fact just parts we mis-heard or mis-read. But we haven’t.

          You can’t argue with a psychopath/sociopath/borderline personality.

          They’re insane.

        • Marcy Fleming

Not true as Malthus was refuted by the Industrial Revolution and the human mind. There are no limits

  • bill

but obama said were in recovery and getting better.he must be right are goverment never we better vote for him.
they say if you dont, you must be prejudice because hes black. since im not prejudice, that means i have to for him?

  • RiskyRichard

Thanks be to Lyndon Baine Johnson for he and his fellow Democrat Progressives for our “Great Society”. It is ‘great’ isn’t it?

I still think LBJ was involved in JFK’s killing because JFK wasn’t progressive enough for them.

  • RiskyRichard

The “Great Society” was the start of the USA’s massive entitlement society which has destroy personal accountability and personal incentives.

  • RiskyRichard

Working blacks that have pride in themselves will turn their backs on Obama come 11/6/2012. He and the other democrates have played them for suckers for many generations. They are waking up. For Obama to solicit black votes by baiting church leaders is so sorry!

  • Jackie Yow

This is what happens when people are not held accountable for thier actions.

  • http://o westie

Sadly america is going down. America has got an awful lot of karma due. Poor arrogant, haughty so right. So great. The great american people. Your fall is written.

    • Cecilia

Screw you. What karma and why? Because we saved Eurpoe from Hitler? Because of all of the men who died on the beaches of Normandy?

The only thing wrong with this country are the liberals who are destroying it, including Obama. All our ills can be traced back to liberalism. kids running amok? Because they weren’t spanked at home when they did something wrong. Parents and schools not holding the kids feet to the fire. Schools not holding the parents feet to the fire. Abortion, homosexuality and racism rampant. (Abortion is not constitutional…in fact, the Constitution directly makes it illegal, but the liberals don’t want anyone to know that.) and when I say “racism” I mean black crime, period. Compared to black on black crime or black on white crime, white on black crime is a drop in the bucket. How many blacks are killed by blacks compared to whites killing blacks? If they’re so tired of the killing, why don’t they stop killing each other!

      Peace through superior firepower

Another Great Article you’ve written here, Micheal. On a lighter note and with an air of positive, I’ve noticed more people taking up the game of Tennis. In my town, our rec. dept. recently laid down 4 of the nicest courts you’ve ever seen… even with the new courts it seems all of our older tennis courts our full all the time. I’ve played tennis for 37 years and I haven’t noticed a big pick-up in new players for the last few years until this year. Maybe this little anecdote will provide a hint of hope.

this country has deteriorated namely because of far left, progressive policies and growth of government and yes LBJ and his “great society” played a huge role in expanding government power. They always say it is to “help” the disadvantaged but it only destroys civil society. Socialism and marxism is deadly for human freedom and productivity. Over 1/2 half of all Americans think that the government (ie; taxpayers!!) are supposed to give them a hand out and they have been turned into beggars looking for crumbs. Far left marxists and go along, get along republicans like Nixon, Ford, Bush I and II who weren’t principled aided and abetted the brainwashed millions of people that the values that this country was founded on, judeo christian values of family/marriage (between a MAN and a WOMAN!), raising a family and living within your means is “unfair, unjust, mean, bigoted”, etc. Like Obama said, “we want to spread your wealth around” while all of his supporters applauded!!!! Detroit is and has been run by selfish, corrupt democrats who have used their power to enrich themselves. Culture is responsible for who we elect to govern us and it is all about taking from the “rich”, it is the oldest sin in the world, greed and selfishness, which is why judeo christian values are so important to have a civil society. Obama is a far left radical marxist third worlder who has propelled our country into almost a tribal warfare between all of the “victim groups”. The republicans aren’t quite as bad but if you believe in God, personal responsiblity and the importance of family you are a bigot and are smeared by the media so many of them do not stand up for conservative principles because they are more worried about maintaining their power. Still, both political parties are desiring to continue the size and scope of government. Now we are seeing the government go after anyone who fights against the tyranny. The IRS is bullying and threatening the tea party movement which I am a part of because they want to stop any protest against their illegal theivery and corruption. Obama has literally shredded the constitution.
There is a famous quote that starts “first they went after so and so, and I did nothing because it didn’t effect me”. Well, be warned. Some people mock those of us fighting for freedom, but you will be attacked and threatened soon enough. Liberals and the brainless out there ignore the history of mankind at their peril. they also mock God and His laws. We are heading for disaster…..

    • Bob Marshall

Good post Kerry! Martin Luther king recognized this problem and addressed it in one of his speeches.he not only spoke to back America, he spoke to all of America.

  • Brjezik Woolf

people in europe advise one remedy wich they’re implementing now – hang one bankster a day and see what happens. May be, just may be, just heard it.

  • Brjezik Woolf

and by the way Greece just got new loan from private bankstkers at 70% interest. Who of them would ever dream of working? they have their fufture secure and bright. think of it. it could work for you too.

  • John

The question we all must ask ourselves is what the true nature of sanity and mental stability is and where it is that we draw the line between human nature and “sicko”.

  • JJ

The fate of American economy and social life is not important at all. We have a mission on Earth and the mission of American people is to support Israel to the end. America and Israel are brothers and we are obliged to the Jews who have built America´s power and culture. It doesn´t matter how much lives a war on Iran will cost to us, what is important, however, is that an enemy of Israel will be destroyed at once. I love the Jewish people and I care about them.

2nd Timothy 3:1 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
