15 Potentially Massive Threats To The U.S. Economy Over The Next 12 Months

We live in a world that is becoming increasingly unstable, and the potential for an event that could cause “sudden change” to the U.S. economy is greater than ever.  There are dozens of potentially massive threats that could easily push the U.S. economy over the edge during the next 12 months.  A war in the Middle East, a financial collapse in Europe, a major derivatives crisis or a horrific natural disaster could all change our economic situation very rapidly.  Most of the time I write about the long-term economic trends that are slowly but surely ripping the U.S. economy to pieces, but the truth is that just a single really bad “black swan event” over the next 12 months could accelerate our economic problems dramatically.  If oil was cut off from the Middle East or a really bad natural disaster suddenly destroyed a major U.S. city, the U.S. economy would be thrown into a state of chaos.  Considering how bad the U.S. economy is currently performing, it would be easy to see how a major “shock to the system” could push us into the “next Great Depression” very easily.  Let us hope that none of these things actually happen over the next 12 months, but let us also understand that we live in a world that has become extremely chaotic and extremely unstable.

In the list below, you will find some “sudden change” events that are somewhat likely and some that are quite unlikely.  I have tried to include a broad range of potential “black swan events”, but there are certainly dozens more massive threats that could potentially be listed.

The following are 15 potentially massive threats to the U.S. economy over the next 12 months….

#1 War With Syria – U.S. Senator John McCain is now publicly calling for U.S. airstrikes against Syria.  A military conflict with Syria becomes more likely with each passing day.

#2 War With Iran – A war in the Middle East involving Iran could literally erupt at any time.  The following is from a Reuters news report that was issued on Monday….

President Barack Obama appealed to Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday to give sanctions time to curb Iran’s nuclear ambitions, but the Israeli prime minister offered no sign of backing away from possible military action, saying his country must be the “master of its fate.”

#3 A Disorderly Greek Debt Default – Many reporters in Europe seem to think that this is becoming increasingly likely.  So what would a disorderly Greek debt default mean for the global financial system?  A leaked report that was authored by the Institute of International Finance says that a disorderly Greek debt default would have some very serious consequences.  You can read the full text of that leaked report right here.

#4 An Economic Collapse In Spain – Spain has one of the largest economies in Europe and it is rapidly becoming a basket case.  As I have written about previously, the unemployment rate in Spain has hit 19.9 percent, and the unemployment rate for workers under the age of 25 is up to 49.9 percent.  Unfortunately, the situation in Spain continues to deteriorate.  The following is from a recent article by Marc Chandler….

However, the devolution in Spain is particularly troubling. The new fiscal compact had just been signed last week, which includes somewhat more rigorous fiscal rule and enforcement, when Spain’s PM Rajoy revealed that this year’s deficit would come in around 5.8 percent of GDP rather the 4.4 percent target. This of course follows last year’s 8.5 percent overshoot of the 6 percent target.

The problem that for Spain is that the 4.4 percent target was based on forecasts for more than 2 percent growth this year. However, in late February, the EU cuts its forecast to a 1 percent contraction. This still seems optimistic. The IMF forecasts a 1.7 percent contraction, which the Spanish government now accepts.

#5 The Price Of Gasoline – The average price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States has risen for 27 days in a row and is now up to $3.77.  Virtually all forms of economic activity are affected by the price of gasoline, and if the price of gas keeps going up it is eventually going to have dramatic consequences for the U.S. economy.

#6 The Student Loan Debt Bubble – Just like we saw with the housing bubble, the student loan debt bubble just continues to grow and grow and grow.  At some point the nearly 1 trillion dollar bubble is going to burst.  What effect will it have on our financial system when that finally happens?

#7 State And Local Government Debt Crisis – It is being reported that California is running out of cash again and there are cities all over the country that are on the verge of bankruptcy.  Could we see a significant municipal bond crisis in the next 12 months?

#8 The Collapse Of A Major U.S. Bank – A number of top U.S. banks are looking increasingly shaky.  In a recent article, David Trainer explained why he has such serious concerns about Bank of America right now….

In my opinion, there are four actions taken by financial services that signal the company is headed to serious trouble.

1. Management shake-up and major layoffs – lots of layoffs over the past year

2. Exploiting accounting rules to boost earnings – SFAS 159

3. Drawing down reserves to boost earnings: to the tune of $13.3 billion in 2011 and 2012

4. Bilking customers with new fees: tried it before and trying it again

Bank of America has taken all four steps.

#9 A Derivatives Crisis – The International Swaps and Derivatives Association recently ruled that the Greek debt deal will not trigger payouts on credit default swaps.  This is seriously shaking confidence in the global market for derivatives.  But the global financial system simply cannot afford a major derivatives crisis.

Estimates of the notional value of the worldwide derivatives market range from $600 trillion all the way up to $1.5 quadrillion.  The notional value of all derivatives held by Bank of America is approximately $75 trillion.  JPMorgan Chase is holding derivatives with a notional value of approximately $79 trillion.

When the derivatives bubble finally bursts it is going to be a financial horror show unlike anything we have ever seen.

#10 The Fall Of The Japanese Economy – The Japanese economy shrank at a 2.3 percent rate during the fourth quarter of 2011.  Japan has a debt to GDP ratio of over 200 percent and a major debt crisis involving Japan could erupt at any time.

#11 A “Solar Megastorm” – Scientists tell us that there is a “1 in 8 chance” that a “solar megastorm” will hit the earth by 2014.  A recent Daily Mail article detailed what some of the consequences of such an event would be….

‘We live in a cyber cocoon enveloping the Earth. Imagine what the consequences might be,’ Daniel Baker, of the University of Colorado’s Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics told National Geographic when asked about a potential ‘megastorm’.

‘Every time you purchase a gallon of gas with your credit card, that’s a satellite transaction.

‘Imagine large cities without power for a week, a month, or a year. The losses could be $1 to $2 trillion, and the effects could be felt for years.

#12 A Major West Coast Earthquake Or Volcanic Eruption – On Monday, there was a 4.0 earthquake in San Francisco and a 6.1 earthquake in Argentina.  Is the “Ring of Fire” waking up again?

#13 Tornado Damage To Major U.S. Cities – Last year, the U.S. experienced one of the worst tornado seasons of all time.  This year, we have already seen the worst tornado outbreak ever recorded in the United States in the month of March.  A couple of towns in Indiana were completely wiped out by that outbreak.  So what should we expect when we get to the heart of tornado season this year?

#14 Severe Drought In The United States – Last summer was one of the driest summers on record in the United States, and in many areas there is simply not enough water available for farmers this year.  Some are even projecting that we could see “dust bowl conditions” return to some areas of the country eventually.

#15 An Asteroid Strike In 2013 – Although scientists tell us that the probability is extremely low, the truth is that there is a slight chance that a sizeable asteroid could hit the earth in February 2013.  The asteroid is estimated to be between 60 and 100 meters wide, and it is projected to pass by our planet “at a distance of under 27,000 km“.  If it did hit us (and scientists say that the odds of that happening are very low) it would potentially be as serious an event as the Tunguska Event in Siberia in 1908.  Mac Slavo of shtfplan.com recently described how awesome the Tunguska Event really was….

On June 30, 1908 an incoming meteor exploded approximately 5 miles above Siberia. The force of the air burst explosion, estimated at between 15 and 30 megatons, or about 1000 times bigger than the atomic bomb that destroyed Hiroshima, was so powerful that it annihilated everything in an 830 square mile area, and reports suggest that that explosion was heard up to 1000 miles away. Because of the remoteness of the impact zone, the Tunguska Event over Siberia had very little effect on the human population in the region, but the destruction of some 80 million trees in the area shows just how powerful a blast was created.

Of course there are so many other “sudden change” events that could potentially happen – a terror event in a major U.S. city, a deadly pandemic, an EMP attack, cyberterrorism or a major political scandal could all possibly cause a stock market crash and an economic collapse in the United States.

In the world that we are living in today, you just never know what is going to happen.

So what are all of you concerned about over the next 12 months?

Do you see the potential for some “black swan events” to happen?

Please feel free to post a comment with your thoughts below….

” But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing and drunkeness, and the cares of this life, and that day ( the day of the Lord ) come on you unexpectedly, For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the Earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man ” Luke 21: 34-36…. Trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, because He died for us all, taking the punishment that you and I deserved, so that we can stand before God without fault and blameless in his sight.

    • M. Hapney

R.Bitting; in response to your fair question on the other thread, here you go. I won’t debate it with you because there is no point. Delusion negates logic and reason. Without those, there can be no debate.

What was being said is that the whole Jesus story is based on the story of the Zodiac. Literally the one year journey of Jesus the SON of God traveling thru the circular Zodiac and each of the 12 Houses, exiting at 30 degrees, entering at 33 degrees. Dying for three days at the Winter Solstace and ‘rising again’ after three days.

Very simple once the delusion is peeled away.
Starts with John the Baptist/Aquarius. Many references in the bible to the ZODIAC. You are dealing with METAPHORS, not real people and events.

The ZODIAC is the base story that is why there were 15 Jesus clones before him – same EXACT story. Same start at 30, death at 33, resurrection, healing the sick, walking on water, coming in the clouds. You don’t really think that Jesus was the first Christ do you??

Not hard – Son-Sun. He is the everlasting light. Light. Light. Light. Satan is dark. dark. dark. Infant level stuff here.

      Kindergarten stuff.

Delusion – clinging to a belief despite factual evidence to the contrary.

The christian religion is a parody on the worship of the Sun, in which they put a man whom they call Christ, in the place of the Sun, and pay him the same adoration which was originally paid to the Sun. – Thomas Payne

If your belief in your Santa gives you piece of mind and you cannot let go, fine, but please don’t spread the delusion on a forum that should be calling people to PREPARE in REAL terms, not some fantasy that will do them no good.

      • Michael

        M. Hapney:

I defy you to show me an “identical” story to the life of Jesus from an original pagan source.

The truth is that if you had done the research you would not be spouting this warmed-over nonsense.

The theory you are parroting was originally developed by a very questionable researcher named Kersey Graves.

Even ATHEIST websites say that Kersey Graves is not to be trusted. The following quote is from an atheist website….

“The scholarship of Kersey Graves has been questioned by numerous theists and nontheists alike; the inclusion of his The World’s Sixteen Crucified Saviors in the Secular Web’s Historical Library does not constitute endorsement by Internet Infidels, Inc. This document was included for historical purposes; readers should be extremely cautious in trusting anything in this book.”

Yes, the story of Jesus is told in the stars. That includes the final chapters which will unfold in the years to come.

And Jesus DID NOT die at the winter solstice. Neither was he born then. The pagan holiday celebrated at the time of the winter solstice was stapled on to Christianity about 300 years after Jesus left the earth. The Bible says nothing about it.

The worship of the sun god goes all the way back to a character known as Nimrod in ancient Babylon. Most of the ancient pagan sun god religions can be traced directly back to ancient Babylon.

But they have nothing to do with the Bible.

        Michael

        • N. Daniels

Michael, You are a very intelligent fellow for sure. Keep up the good work. Now that Mr. hapney knows the truth, let’s pray together that he would accept it as such. God Bless.

        • sharonsj

I’m pretty sure that the story of Jesus is the same as the story of Mithras, the Persian sun god. Mithras was born of a virgin, was the son of God, performed miracles, was condemned and crucified by his enemies, spent three days in a dark cave, and was then resurrected. The reason the two stories are identical is because of the Emperor Constantin who merged the two religions during his reign.

          • Michael

            sharonsj:

You information about Mithras is dead wrong. Go look at the original sources.

You are right that Mithras was a Persian sun god (that traces all the way back to ancient Babylon by the way) and that he allegedly performed miracles. All religions claim supernatural events.

But most of the rest of what you are claiming has been debunked.

The following is from Baker’s Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics….

“Allegations of an early Christian dependence on Mithraism have been rejected on many grounds. Mithraism had no concept of the death and resurrection of its god and no place for any concept of rebirth — at least during its early stages…During the early stages of the cult, the notion of rebirth would have been foreign to its basic outlook…Moreover, Mithraism was basically a military cult. Therefore, one must be skeptical about suggestions that it appealed to nonmilitary people like the early Christians.”

The following is from author Bill Wilson….

“While there are several sources that suggest that Mithraism included a notion of rebirth, they are all post-Christian. The earliest…dates from the end of the second century A.D.”

And there is absolutely no crucifixion anywhere to be found in Mithraism.

And the stories of the birth of Mithras involve him being born from an egg or a rock.

So you have been deeply misinformed.

Yes, elements of Mithraism did get incorporated into Roman Catholicism starting in the 4th century, as did elements from other sun god religions.

But that has nothing to do with the true story of Jesus.

        • xander cross

Jesus was not european either, but many people say that he was. He (if he existed) was defiently black and all of the early descriptions of him describe him as a black male. Of course, the roman cathloic church had painted him as an european male with blue eyes.

        • xander cross

For many years, the elite has hidden all forms of the bible away from the mases and yes, blacks were kings in europe and built kindgoms in spain and control it. So, I do agree with M. harpey that christianity did in fact came from other beliefs and relgions and yes, there are some crakpot theories out there, but jesus was defiently black. Also, since parts of the bible were taken out by the chruch, we always have to ask questions as to why. I did research as well, and I know that all early descriptions of jesus potray him as a black male.

          • Lennie Pike

Sounds to me like you’re the one that’s defiantly Black and that doesn’t help the situation – we all need to be colorblind, race has nothing to do with anything – Jesus said so himself – it’s in the Bible.

          • M. Hapney

Jesus is a metaphor, a symbolic metaphor for something. Ancient Greek name for Horus was Iesus. You can interchange ‘I’ and ‘J’. So Iesus becomes Jesus. And Jesus is the sun which is why we worship on ‘Sun’ day.

Others worship on Saturday or “Saturn’s day”

            or

Monday “the Moon’s day” – early Hebrew; moon worship; that is why all Hebrew celebrations are at night.

            xander cross:

Yahshua was a Hebrew from Nazareth, and there are blacks that claim to be Hebrew Israelites, but how could you definitively prove that Yahshua was black. An overwhelming majority of the Hebrew Israelites are not black so I would say statistically the odds are very much against your claim that Yahshua was black just based on statistics. Not to mention that Nazareth is in northern Judea where most of the residents, at the time of Yahshua’s life, were of Arabic or European decent and not African decent due to the dominance of the Roman Empire at that time.

          • 1stVArifleman

M Hapney, I am more than open to hear your comments about Jesus, because I find all the opinions out there fascinating. But, your last comment about the Greek name for Horus being Iesus, what source did you get that from? Also, elaborate if you could on that, I’ve never heard that before. Also, how how do you comment on the historical record of the teacher from Nazareth Yahshua. Whose story, I believe, has been manipulated for two millennia now, a long with pagan texts and beliefs for power and influence. The most notable, example of this manipulation, not trying to offend anyone out there, is definitely the early Catholic Church following from the Council of Nicea through at least the Renaissance and arguably through to today. Realize many scholars say the Greek translation of Yahshua is Jesus.

Just curious, again this topic I find fascinating.

what is it with conservatives always saying “I defy you”… Turn off talk hate radio!

          • Lennie Pike

Did you notice what just happened?

        • Steven P. Cornett

The pagan holiday celebrated at the time of the winter solstice was stapled on to Christianity about 300 years after Jesus left the earth.

The pagan holiday of Sol Invictus was stapled on by the Romans in the late Third Century AD, so it may have been in reaction to the Christian celebration of Christmas, either by itself or as an aspect of Epiphany.

The Bible says nothing about it.

Actually, the Gospel According to Luke does give some clues as to the timing in the first chapter, namely the the division of priest Zechariah served with (Luke 1:5), that of Abijah. The narrative of the Visitation and the birth of John the Baptist give some clues as well. From this, the early Church Fathers, calculating back from the order each division served (which is in 1st Chronicles, I believe) and the last division of priests to serve to confirm the date of Christmas.

This date was arrived at by a combination of a Jewish tradition called “Integral Age”, which taught that a prophet died on the day he was conceived or born. The date the Lord died on the Cross was calculated as the 25th of March (which is celebrated as the Feast of the Annunciation in the Catholic and Orthodox Churches as the day in which the Blessed Virgin Mary conceived).

Here is an article from Touchstone magazine discussing this.

Delusion negates logic and reason. Without those, there can be no debate.

you got that correct! conservatives live in a bubble fact free zone.

        • Lennie Pike

Some of history’s most advanced practitioners of logic and reason have come to believe the Bible to be fact through the use of logic and reason, and have used logic and reason to determine that humans are not only physical beings but spiritual beings (spirits) as well.

I seriously doubt if many of you who have made negative comments about the Bible, or even those who have made positive comments, have the first clue as how to properly use advanced logic and reason.

I’m not saying I’m an expert at it, but I do know there’s a lot more to it than most people know – it is extremely demanding, rigid, exacting, and very complex.

      • D

It all comes down to light (good) and darkness (evil). Jesus was a manifestation of pure light, and hence, showed us how to live as he did.

I never heard of the Zodiac reference before, but I agree that the bible gets taken too literally and out of context at times. The good/evil duality concept shouldn’t be that difficult to understand. Be nice to others and don’t fall into power/greed hunger (which is selfish and not helping others).

      • r.bitting

You are not responding to the challenge I presented you with on the last thread, but are rather elluding it. But, just in case you forgot it or somehow missed it, let me present it to you yet again. If you say that there is no creator God, then by default you are then saying that the universe came into existence out of nothing, ( an effect without a cause ), While I believe it takes a whole lot more faith to believe this view, I want to see the evidence to support this belief. If you say that what I believe is delusional, fine, show me the evidence to the contrary. But heres what I know, you have no such ” evidence ” because if you did, then you, or any of the other detractors on this site that attack the credibliity of the bible would be ALL TO WILLING to present it. This time, please respond specifically to the challenge, anything else will be pointless.

        • r.bitting

Mr. Hapney, I would like to also add that theres a plethora of evidence for the actual life, death, and resurrection of Christ, that come from both religious AND secular sources, that in and of itself totally undermines any credibility your zodiac theory has. The fact is Mr. Hapney, You are trying to use the cosmos to explain away the existence of God, but yet you cannot even account for the genesis of the cosmos, which had to have a beginning itself. Can something really come from nothing Mr. Hapney? I would at least understand your objection to Christianity if you believed in another god, then at least we would be in agreement that there was a creator, which incidently sir, 90% of the world’s population believes. The fact that there are so many different beliefs in this world in regard to the reality of God, and if there is, then which one, only reinforces the Biblical reality of Satan. Because Satan is succeeding in his quest to keep as many as possible from the truth. His strategy of paralysis by analysis has worked. Nevertheless, the greatest evidence of the reality of God can be easily understood by asking yourself the simple question ” could the universe bring itself into existence from nothing? ( Infant level stuff here, kindergarten stuff really, even a child could arrive at the right conclusion… No, something can’t come from nothing, so there must be a creator ).

      • Horhey

Saturnalia is a pagan holiday, and all that was done at that time. Most Christians don’t take the time to research what they celebrate. Anyone who does not look at the evidence of the Christ is a fool. There’s secular evidence of the Christ. If the apostasy did not corrupt Christianity, it would be much different then what “main stream” christians believe or the horrible wake of history it left behind. Relating the Zodiac to Jesus is not only tacky, poor taste, but also ignorant. It sounds too much like a conspiracy theory that belongs to a religious extremist………just a different type of religion.

I was asked once by a documentary filmmaker what I thought would happen in 2012. I blurted out that my own calendar ends every year and I do not worry about it. Everywhere I turn, however, someone has a dire prediction for the next 9-18 months so I have doubled down on my one-year food supply, keep a large cash cushion and silver coin inventory, and traded my sports car for an EMP resistant diesel and dual sport motorcycle to give us the best odds of making it to our mountain retreat by highway, back road, or rail trail.

We will stay in the city as long as we can before moving permanently to our wood heated, solar powered cabin. The panels are stored underground for EMP protection and we use the generator until fuel is no longer available.

There are enough homes on our dead end mountain road to form a real community with our own security patrols and church services. I believe this is the best chance for our children to make it to adulthood. Maybe in twenty or thirty years they will do a better job than we did.

This is indeed a sad day.

I say again that if you are appealing to that crowd this is little more than the national enquirer level posts.

Michael I think you need to reevaluate whether your goal is to toss red meat to the low info conservative crowd or actually be a journalist with any creditability.

          Gary:

My articles get handed out at OWS events, they appear on libertarian websites and they get discussed on conservative talk radio shows.

I am glad that people from all over the political spectrum are finding value in these articles and are sharing them.

          • 1stVArifleman

Gary, again you just show how dumb you really are. Libertarians are not conservatives, but in reality they are actually Liberals or at least true Liberals. Libertarians now are the torch bearers of true Liberals such as John Locke, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison. Liberal used to mean we will interpret that liberally or broadly, or freely. Notice Libertarians want freedom for everyone, EVEN THE PEOPLE WE DON’T AGREE WITH!!!!!! I would use the term Liberal more, but it has long been lost to the Corporate Media and the Progressive/Socialist/Democrats, due to the fact that no on in America reads or questions anything anymore. Notice I never call you a Liberal, I always refer to you as a Progressive (socialist), but I don’ t expect you to understand any of this based on all your previous comments and lack of objective debating skills.

That would be the very reason that Jesus informed us that “You shall know them by their fruits”. ANYBODY can say ANYTHING, its what they do that actually tells who and what they truly believe in. Satan’s ministers can be transformed into angels of light, but their actions past, present and future tell us who they are working for.

    • r.bitting

Sir, I wholeheartedly believe there is certainly an element of truth in what you say, and in fact, I firmly believe that this election will prove pointless because unless America turns back to God, things will only continue to deteriorate, and I also believe that our current president will win a second term, not because he’s capable, on the contrary, because he’s not. He is the president we deserve to have as a nation because we have forsaken our God. I have absolutely no faith in a political solution because America’s ills are moral first and foremost. I stopped being suprised by candidates who claim to be Christian, but live and behave otherwise. This is’nt a christian problem though, it’s everywhere in society. That said, you should not judge whether or not Christianity is valid based upon the failings of Christians, because in truth, we all fail, you included. Base your conclusions on whether Christianity is authenic soley on the life and claims of Jesus Christ, not on individual believers. BTW, There are multitudes of authenic Christians in the world who live out their faith every day, and just as you would not like to be steryotyped, niether would they, even though they fail ( all the time ). So do you and I.

Iran is developing nuclear weapons. Obama is determined to let Iran have them. Iran has already threatened Israel and the US with nuclear annihilation. They don’t have ICBMs yet but they do have short range missiles that could be fired from ships or submarines. We could see Washington DC go up in a nuclear fireball if Iran’s nuclear capabilities aren’t stopped in time.

No matter how many times americans start wars based on lies, but they never learn. Whenever a government/war industry desire to start a new war, they only need to use the same old tricks. Americans will automatically react with a pro-war attitude. They always do. (Read wikipedia, USS Maine)

      • 1stVArifleman

No only do Americans need to research whatever the war drum beating, corporate media claims, “Iran’s got Nukes!” but people need to research what modern day Israel really is.

The majority of people that live in Israel are not Hebrew Israelites but Ashkenazi Jews. I have nothing against Ashkenazi Jews, but one should ask oneself why are the overwhelming majority of Israel’s population Ashkenazi Jews. The reason, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is that Israel is a Rothschild government and territory. The Rothschild family is the most prominent and wealthy Ashkenazi Jewish family in the world, and not one Israeli Prime Minister has been any other Jew but an Ashkenazi Jew since Isreal’s founding in 1948. The controllers of Palestine prior to the establishment of Israel was the British government, it was a British colony essentially. Following WWII the Rothschild family used the horrors of the Jews in WWII to their advantage to establish a “Jewish” state (in reality a Rothschild middle eastern state/foothold) by appealing to British government. Of course the British government has been primarily financed by the Rothschilds since Nathan Rothschild took over the Bank of England during the Napoleonic era. Proof of this is in the Israeli flag, the symbol of the Rothschild family, dating back to Mayer Bauer before he changed his name to Rothschild, was a red hexagram (Rothschild=Red Shield in English); if, Israel, was truly a Jewish state more than likely the Israeli flag would of had a menorah on it and not a hexagram. Since, a menorah is the most recognized symbol of the Jews in the world.

The facts are there people if only one is willing to take the time to look. Just as all recent Treasury Secretaries and FED Chairmen have had some sort of connection to Goldman Sachs, and all positions on the National Security Council since FDR have been held by persons who hold membership in either the Council on Foreign Relations or the Trilateral Commission. Which by the way one can trace any of the fore mentioned groups easily indirectly to Rothschilds financing.

“From the days of Spartacus-Weishaupt to those of Karl Marx, to those of Trotsky, Bela Kun, Rosa Luxemburg, and Emma Goldman, this worldwide conspiracy for the overthrow of civilization…has steadily been growing.
It played a definitely recongnizable role in the tragedy of the French Revolution. It has been the mainspring of every subversive movement during the nineteenth century, and now at last this band of extraordinary personalities from the underworld of the great cities of Europe and America have gripped the Russian people by the hair of their heads, and have become practically the undisputed masters of that enormous empire.”
Winston Churchill (commenting on the Russian Revolution)

This same family is working on the sparking the next American “Revolution” as we speak, I just hope more Americans are ready for it than I think.

        Long Live the Constitutional Republic!

A bit of perspective is needed to quantify the derivatives problem. The conservative figure being used is 600 Trillion. The GDP of the world is 54 Trillion and the GDP of the US is 14 Trillion.

That debt bomb is the combined wealth generated in the world for roughly a dozen years. Think about how large that it. From the Saudi Prince and King, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet down to the burger flipper at McDonalds and everyone in between throughout the world. The less conservative (and probably more accurate) figure is over double that.

    WOW!

  • Kevin2

“#1 War With Syria – U.S. Senator John McCain is now publicly calling for U.S. airstrikes against Syria. A military conflict with Syria becomes more likely with each passing day.”

I’m missing something did Syria bomb Pear Harbor like the Germans did?

Animal House, Bluto, “When the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor….”. According to the movie credits he became a US Senator; figures.

    • Paul

Is that where you get your education from?

FYI, the Germans didn’t bomb Pearl Harbour.

Do you know where Germany is, and Pearl Harbour?

Get yourself a history book and some maps. Maybe a globe.

Seriously! The Germans bombed Pearl Harbour!

The Germans built that nuclear bomb for America, so that America can bomb Japan with it.

And later the Germans built the rockets that brought America to the moon. But they failed in shooting all of America to the moon, though.

      • Kevin2

        Paul

Apparently you don’t read my posts. That one was pure humor. The Germans bombing Pearl Harbor makes as much sense as the US striking Syria unprovoked. Notice the part about Animal House (it’s a 1978 movie) where John Baluchi (oops spelling) said that in the Frat House and in the credits he became a US Senator. See it’s called humor that Bluto was that dumb and became a US Senator.

There are few things that would be worse than a large scale EMP problem. Most people would die off very quickly. The sick and elderly can’t live without meds. Our lives revolve around electric power. Without fuel we can’t raise enough food to support the billions on the earth today. So take heed and stock up so that you can feed your family and friends and neighbors. You really should have enough long term food storage for a couple of years and the ability to grow food under adverse situations.

So many foothold bear traps, and so little time…

Perhaps a nice little wrestling match with Iran or Syria will do. Or a Greek meltdown, or Bank of America going belly up. (They deserve it!) It might be another “lost decade” like Japan had in the 1990’s, only this time it will be here in the U.S. (and for the same reasons it happened in Japan 2 decades ago).

Or maybe that asteroid strike will put us all out of our collective misery. Yeah! Come on, you big ugly space rock! Hit us with your best shot! Getting hit by a comet would be more glamorous, but hey, you take what you can get!

Thank you for another great artical. I made a comment on the last one and then went to work for the rest of my work day and checked this blog as soon as I got home and wow were there a lot of comments! I got some reactions to the one I made, LOL. There may be some combinations that could cause some problems like Chinas economy which I heard on NPR today is slowing and Israel attacking Iran and then Iran disrupting some of the oil supply added together may very well cause problems. We are so dependant on oil and it is such a weak link, disrupt that flow and we would come to a crashing halt. By the way, I do believe that the earth is very very old but that humans have only been here for around 6000 years or so and I can’t figure out how did we reproduce before our current manner? I do think that we were created. And we all have freedom to choose. One of the problems with this country is pride. It is an abomination to God, and the opposite of humility. To have humility is to give due credit to the one true God the one who made us. I guess I got a little off topic. Keep alert and keep preping all, goodnight.

    • Save the Republic

It should come as no surprise that China’s economy is slowing. They export their cheap junk to the rest of the world, and I’m sure that has been a major driver of their economy. When people don’t have disposable income, the non-essential items should be the first things people stop buying. Most of the people doing the buying are from countries with collapsing economies, and many aren’t even working, so I doubt they are buying much of this junk anymore.

Why would you believe the earth is very old? The only One who was around to know how old it is, is the One that created it, and He has never given us any reason to believe that it is very old. What God says in His word indicates that it isn’t very old, absolutely nowhere near millions and billions of years the athiest evolutionists attempt to coerce everyone into believing. You should stop taking them at their word, and start taking God at His.

We hear all the things that can happen but none really talks about what it will look like in the US when we do have a collapse. Will it happen suddenly? Will there be Chaos? Will it be a slow demise? I would like to to know more about that aspect of the collapse. I do believe we are headed for one, I just want to know what to expect.

    • Gary3

Barring a “black swan” event, the slow death spiral of USA will continue, probably punctuated with crises along the way. It wouldn’t take much of a crisis to push USA over the edge.

    • McKinley Morganfield

“We hear all the things that can happen but none really talks about what it will look like in the US when we do have a collapse. Will it happen suddenly? Will there be Chaos? Will it be a slow demise? I would like to to know more about that aspect of the collapse. I do believe we are headed for one, I just want to know what to expect.”

No one can predict exactly what to expect, but we can look in the rearview mirror at history. The financial, monetary, economic, ethical unraveling has been occurring before my eyes these last 40 years. This has been the “slow demise”. What history tells us is that the end game, the collapse, happens rapidly; although it is difficult (impossible?) to recognize the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back and starts the panic. One thing you can count on is there will be chaos and repression-resistance.

Prep laura, day by day as best as you are able. Cling to family and friends. Learn, if you don’t already know, how to grow and preserve food. Learn how to defend you and yours as best as you are able. Trust not my words or the words of anyone else. Trust your heart and act accordingly.

    • Bone Idle

As in the 1930’s depression. Things sort of built up starting with the Wall street crash of 1929. When large sovereign nations defaulted (The U.K.) that was when T.S.H.F. Deterioration was very quick from there.

The Greek situation could be the catalyst to a fast deterioration. There are only three days left before an agreement must be decided on for loan write downs. Yes that’s right….Just three days. A disorderly default could be triggered in just three days.
Will the ISDA then consider a credit event has occurred? Will this trigger CDS swaps and corresponding derivative unraveling?

    • Save the Republic

The collapse is close to inevitable. Without a major change of direction, definitely inevitable. The elected officials presently are not even contemplating major change, but instead are trying to keep it as a slow, orderly collapse, so the elite can gain as much as possible from it. If a huge event like mentioned above happens (something they can’t control), which is becoming increasingly likely, things will get out of control in a hurry. I don’t know which is worse, suffering for a decade or 2 in a stagnating economy as inflation keeps rising, destroying whatever standard of living we have left, or a major crash that would be extremely painful for a year or 2, but then a new dawn for those that survive. All I can say is do whatever you need to do to best ensure your survival in either scenario. Get as prepared as you can for the time being.

It’s now commonplace to use the term trillion when referring to debt, Wall Street, financial bubbles, etc; but let’s take a peek at the VERY short history of “trillion”, in financial terms:

“When it was first used in the 1970s it had shock value. The first time someone hears the word trillion, they might not know the number of zeros but they know it’s a big number. But the figures are now bandied around in the media and it’s devalued its importance.

At that point, the word trillion was rarely mentioned in the news and resided more in the imagination of children, alongside zillions and gazillions, as an expression of something on an enormous scale.”
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-15478580

I love that last part, “resided more in the imagination of children…” 40 years, that’s all it took, in the entire history of man-kind and accounting, to use, let alone flagrantly throw that number around when referring to debt and large-scale financial transactions. Talk about “bubbles”…..

    re #2:
I watched Netanyahu’s speech tonight and he left little doubt in my mind that an attack on Iran is coming and sooner rather than later. He stressed over and over that Israel had the right to defend itself and that containment of a nuclear capable Iran was not an option. He enumerated Iran’s past involvement in terrorist acts, its support of Hamas and Hezbollah and he emphasized the cost paid in American lives. He also made a point of repeatedly stating that Obama had indicated in their talks today that the U.S. would support him. He said he will not say what he will do and that he never says what he will do. But this was the speech that people will cite in the future when they say we should have forseen imminent conflict.

    • justamom

Thank you for this post, nowwthen. This is very important information, and thankfully you have not twisted it (like MSM).

I read an article today that the real question is whether Iranian nukes pose an existential threat to Israel. Mr. Netanyahu’s government will have to make that call. If Israel is to remain a sovereign nation, it must be able to defend itself.
The frightening part in the article I read today is that the writer believes an effective strike against Iran’s nuclear program would require nuclear strike, perhaps multiple nuclear strikes.

  • Paul

What we all need is more stability.

In the technical field, when you want more stability you build in capacity, storage capability. Capacitors in electrical circuits to soak up power peaks and to release power at voltage dips.
Dams in the mountains to store melting snow in the spring and to release water in the dry summer.
Warehouses to store parts needed for production, so it doesn’t need to be disrupted in adverse weather.

Justin Time put the warehouses on the highways and exposed the economy to the weather. And created those huge traffic jams and jack-knifed trucks, because of over-tired drivers driving at high speed.

Pantries to store food at harvest and slaughter time and release it over spring and summer, when livestock and cereals are growing.

Put in that little bit stability for your family by yourself. Get yourself a sound foundation for your house, something that isn’t washed away by rain or blown away by a breeze. Then build on that.
Get solid walls that store heat and slowly release it.
Triple-paned windows have coated surfaces inside that reflect heat radiation one-way. The sun can help you to heatyour home, but that heat is slowly escaping the window.

Go out after the rain to enjoy the sunshine instead of worrying how to rebuild that house.

Stay home and mend your things instead of buying those cheap thing made by slave labor in Chinese or American prisons.

Staying home gives you also more time with your family. Answering questions of your children. That Father-Son talk while building that wall shelf together.

Shut down those flashing TV pictures. Get the super excitement out of your live (5 different camera takes per second can’t be healthy). Get back to some boring stability.

My best guess is for the break-up of the euro-zone . The large banks here in the USA will take a massive hit because of the loans they made to the europeian monitary fund and more than likely many will fold . Even if the fed prints more money and gives it to them . It won’t stop the bleeding.

Why are we so focused and worried about Iran getting a nuke?

There are almost a dozen countries in the world who already have nukes. They are the USA, Russia, China, Israel, India, Pakistan, S. Africa, France, England and N. Korea and these are the ones we are aware of.

So if Iran gets a nuke we can deal with it like we have for 60 yrs, and that is through guranteed mutual destruction if we are ever attacked. There is no winner in a nuclear exchange.

    • Bone Idle

Those other countries have not declared that they want to annihilate another one such as Iran has done.

M.A.D. Mutual assured destruction is only valid when there are sane parties involved on both sides.

    • justamom

Euart, this is a complicated issue but in a nutshell:
Iran has repeatedly, publicly called for the destruction, annihilation, the wiping off the map of Israel. The President of Iran believes it is his personal privilege to usher in the Islamic Messiah (12th Imam) by generating a climate of genocide and chaos. His pursuit of nuclear weapons is not just for military reasons or political reasons; he has deep-rooted “spiritual” reasons that are driving his lust for destruction.
Most other nations that are stockpiling nuclear weapons are using them as a deterrent from war, just as you said. And none have brazenly threatened to utterly wipe out another nation. These nuclear-armed nations work with the IAEA and the international community. Iran has refused to cooperate with either.
A nuclear-armed Iran would pose an existential threat to the nation of Israel.

After reading Michaels’ latest, one can only agree that ‘Black Swans’ are circling just over the horizon. The likeliest scenario IMHO would be just one of those cited events occuring that would in turn create the dreaded domino cascade effect, triggering others that are just as likely as the first. As the subsequent events exacerbate the effects of the first, fear and rising social instability nearest the epicenter of these events would increase in rapid, dramatic ways. The coverage of these events, and the growing social chaos, by a headline hungry world-wide media would further spread the rising social fears. How quickly and how destructive would be the ‘contagion’ is anyones guess, but it won’t be pretty and it won’t settle down easily.
Prepare… And good luck to us all.

“What is my (main) concern?) I look to the future, not for my lifetime, nor yours, but generations down the way. Eventually oil will run out, forests will be denuded, populations will incre4ase ad etc. We have all read it before.

My concern for the humanity is water. In our current cycle of warming, albeit manmade or nature – it does not mater. We are still a warming planet and we are pumping our aquifiers dry and it is not raining in natural patterns to support agriculture.

So who cares? Wally World is still selling food.

The masses have no understanding how food is produced and to their umnderstanding it all comes from a store.

As an example I have been retired since 1980. I took up a hobby of Back 2 the Land and focused on medicinal herbs. I perfected a herbal effective treatment for osteoartheritis. 147 trials with 4 dissents show it works to eliminate pain… These are all natural gathered herbs however in limited supply as the weather patterns dictate their reproduction. People ask me if I have a grocery store and can just order more from the magic kingdom – maybe Wally World. THe gist of this story is I do not sell herbs. Herbs do not grow in the winter. Herbs may not grow in the summer (with no rain). The same is for food production and being a full time dedicated excperimental gardener I hasve to devise ways of watering dry plants or starve.

On a USA wide scale – the breadbasket of the world, or Russia, Romania, Poland, Asia proper all depend on water.

Water is disapearing. We can live with out electricity, oil, cars, fashion and fingernail polish. We can not live with out water.

I have several articles on water collecton – storage for those back in the boonies. Read my archives of http://www.Back2theLand.com.

This is my concern for the future.

    #16 Russian Election of Putin
This czar is securing more and more power for himself. He is no friend to Western countries and holds huge sway over natural resource pricing.

    #17 The 2012 Election Results

Theres a reason God allowed him to be appointed ” for such a time as this “… Theres also a reason Ezekiel ch. 38 & 39 were written, so the people of our time in history could see these current events for what they are, compare it to what the Bible says in Ezekiel 38-39, and thus acknowledge that theres no way this could have been predicted 2500 years ago, Which should bring the skeptic to the realization that the Bible is truly the inspired word of God… Are you seeing this Gary?

WOW! Peter Schiff lays it out. We live in a communist system with our current tax structure GARY, one that we have NO HOPE of ever producing wealth from:

    By: Peter Schiff
    Monday, March 5, 2012

However, as a result of our current and proposed tax policies towards corporate shareholders, our government collects a portion of industrial output that would inspire envy in even the most rabid Bolshevik.

… as a result of America’s system of double taxation, where income is taxed on the corporate level and then again on the personal level, government receives a much bigger share of corporate income than the owners themselves. I also address this topic in my latest video blog.

Suppose a publicly held U.S. corporation made one million dollars in income over the course of a year. Currently its profits would be taxed at a 35% level (for the purpose of this example I will not factor in the lower rate that is applied to its first $100K of profits), meaning that the company would have to pay $350,000 directly to the government (assuming it earned its income without special tax breaks). Of the $650,000 that remained, the typical dividend-paying corporation might distribute 40 percent to shareholders (this is known as the “payout ratio” and the actual average is slightly below 40%). So in this instance the company would pay $260,000 (40% of $650,000) to shareholders. The remaining $390,000 would typically be held as “retained earnings,” and would be used to maintain and replace depreciating equipment, make capital investments, fund research and development, and expand operations. If the company did not make such investments it would be impossible for it to survive and its ability to perpetuate profit distributions would be limited….

When received by shareholders, the $260,000 in dividends are taxed again at a rate of 15 percent (according to current law). As a result, shareholders receive just $221,000 of the million dollar profit. The $39,000 in dividend taxes are added to the $350,000 “off the top” corporate tax to bring the government’s total take of the company’s profits to just a shade under $390,000. In other words the government gets about 75% more cash flow from the company than the actual owners. Looked at in a slightly different way, the government gets about 65% of the non-retained earnings while shareholders, who put up the money and take all the risk, get 35%. Does this seem fair?

This level of taxation puts American corporations at a noticeable disadvantage vis-a-vis companies in the countries against which we are most keenly competing. In China, the slicing of the pie is much more favorable to owners. There, corporations are taxed at a rate of 25% and dividends at 10%. Using these numbers (and the same payout ratio used for the U.S. corporation), the Chinese government gets 51% of distributed corporate profits and shareholders get 49%. In Hong Kong (which is part of Communist China), the situation is even better. There, the corporate tax rate is 16% and the personal dividend rate is zero. If you do the math there, the government gets 33% and the shareholders get 67%.

This comparison raises an interesting point. If shareholders in communist China are allowed to keep more of their earnings than shareholders in capitalist America, which nation is more communist and which more capitalist?

Late last month the Obama Administration and Mitt Romney offered competing proposals on corporate tax reform that both politicians say would make U.S. corporations more competitive. Romney’s plan lowers the corporate tax rate to 25% while maintaining the dividend tax at 15%. This makes things slightly better, sending 54% of distributed earnings to the government and 46% to shareholders (not quite as generous as Communist China). Not surprisingly however the Obama plan will make things much more difficult.

Although the President proposes lowering the corporate tax rate to 28% he also wants to scrap the dividend tax and instead tax the distributions as ordinary income. In practice, the vast majority of individual recipients of dividends fall into the higher end of the income spectrum. Which means a very large chunk of these dividends will be taxed at the highest personal rate of 39%. But Obama also wants to subject these high earners to a surtax to pay for his health care initiative, which means that many of the recipients will be taxed at a rate of 44% (this also accounts for the phase out of personal deductions for higher earners!) So for these high-income earners, using our current example, the new distribution split with the government under Obama’s proposals will be about 70/30 in favor of the government. This is actually worse than the status quo.

War with North Korea. The US and South Korea are now starting military drill which will last about a month or so. In response, North Korea is doing its own live fire drills. More to the point, we invaded Iraq on the pretext of weapons of mass destruction, when they wern’t found it was thought that they had been moved to Syria. If that were true why isn’t Assad using them now as he attacks his own people? If it is true that the Iraq WMD are in Syria why don’t we hear any discussion about their presence as we beat the war drums? Why aren’t WMD’s the “excuse” for attacking Syria? And who’s to say that Syria doesn’t have them and will be willing to use them if they are attacked? There is just no discussion about this at all.

Because there weren’t any in the first place Wilson. They were lying. Just like they’re lying now.

Assad isn’t attacking his own people, and the population is not revolting against him. He is fighting the same people Qaddafi tried to tell the Western public he was fighting. The terrorist organizations created, funded, and deployed by the CIA, MI6, and Mossad.

Now there’s even video going viral showing that the shill MSM keeps pulling reports on from Syria is a fraud. Dubbing gunfire into his broadcasts while feigning fear on camera and then goofing about it off camera. Another video from someone really on the ground over there discussing all the citizens begging for Assad to send military protection FROM the hooded snipers on rooftops shooting at them.

Same guys that are assaulting Iraqi police leading to their police spokespeople claiming there’s “A big problem”. Al Qaida. Flying flags in Iraq, flying flags in Libya and claiming from Eastern Libya that they are going their own way and want to be recognized as their own republic separate from the rest of the country. Same guys MSM and the government have been telling the American public “are in shambles” thanks to the trillions spent in the “War on Terror”.

This country’s a joke, but the worst part of the joke isn’t the politicians that lie or the media that spreads the lies. It’s the public that keeps on swallowing them and taking pride in doing so because they think it makes them “patriots”.

Gary2, I get the biggest kick out of you. I wish I had a dollar for every time you’ve bashed capitalism (and conservatism) and regurgitated the same old “spread the wealth” rhetoric; and if I did have that many dollars I would choose of my own free will to donate much of it…I don’t need a government forcing me to do so.

I keep saying it as repitition works. Also becuase it is true. You could probably still be rich if you got only a dime everytime I say tax the rich and spread the wealth. Unfortunatly many people are not as generous as you with your willingness to donate. This is why I would simply remove the choice from the rich and tax them hard and spread the wealth. We would not have such a big wealth and income inequality if the rich were generous.

There see you would now be another dime richer! I would tax you at 85% so you would still have .15

I am happy to provide MUCH NEEDED balance to Michaels right wing world view.

        • srqrebel

Gary2 – Are you just a troll, or do you really believe the garbage you spout?

First, your statement that “You could probably still be rich if you got only a dime everytime I say tax the rich and spread the wealth” has no point to it at all.

Second, do you realize that the rich ARE the source of jobs? If it were not for the rich putting their wealth to work either entrepreneurally or through investing in businesses that in turn provide jobs, the rest of us so-called poor would ALL be living in third-world, hand-to-mouth, genuine poverty. So I guess you are all for biting the hand that feeds you so we can all be equally, hopelessly miserable. Bravo!

Third, although I am currently still “poor” by US standards (though quite well-to-do by the standards of third world socialist cesspools), I have dreams of bettering my lot in life. Those dreams were initially made possible by the (semi)capitalist economy of the USA. But, pray tell me dear Gary2, what incentive do I have to pull myself up by the bootstraps, and even provide jobs for others through my efforts of reaching for my own dreams, when I see your “attack the rich” ideology going mainstream here in the USA? Why should I strain to put in such monumental effort to improve my own lot in life, only to subsequently see my hard-earned wealth taken by force and redistributed to those who have neither earned it nor have a clue about the effort it took ME to earn it for myself?

Seriously, WHY should I consent to being the slave of lazy, greedy redistributionists like you, Gary2???

In reality, I will NEVER consent to such blatant injustice. I will only do one of two things: Either relocate someplace where hard-earned wealth is still respected, or just bring my own efforts into alignment with the status quo. This will be my response until such a time as redistributionists like you, Gary2, come up with a way to genuinely rekindle my motivation to be productive.

Exactly HOW do you propose to accomplish that, Gary2? Hint: Jackboots and firing squads will NOT do the trick.

most if not all of the “calamities” mentioned above, are beyond the control or affect of any individual on this planet.

while it is educational to read about them, there is not much that one can do about them, and there are no suggestions as to how to prepare for any of these possible events.

so, a lot of problems have been laid out with no solutions to deal with them.

how much utility is there when mentioning potential catastrophes, unless one can take counter measures to protect oneself from their impacts ?

Another one is disappearance of the sun spots the UK Meterology Office release a report that discussed the possibility of repeating Dalton’s Minimum. It would be hilarious to see the collapse brought on by global cooling. The unprepared environmentalists and the preppers plans that were based on warm climate would be priceless. #9 is what will crash the whole deal& send the pain across the Atlantic to America! The investors who bought sovereign bonds from EU nations are suddenly discovering that their derivative insurance(credit default swaps)may not be paid!
Here in America,5 of the largest banks are on the hook for a vast majority of these CDS”S (95%?).This is what I am told was a major factor in the MF Global collapse.MF declared default on some of their investments, but the International Swaps & Derivatives Association said it was not a default. It just so happens that this association is made up of the same banks that issued the swaps. How is that for a hot bucket of shot? What will happen when these investor realize that their insurance swaps may not be honored? They will flee while they still have their shirt on their back! This will spread like the plague,on both sides of the Atlantic & bring down the “to big to fail banks” who can’t possibly pay these bets (Bank of America $75 trillion,Chase $79 trillion).Either notional deb’t is 5x the U.S.yearly GDP.This insanity will spread to other financial markets & may pull down the whole house of cards.

Hey, Gary2, I just read an article citing any one of 15 events that could trigger serious trouble for the economy. Instead of carping and drive-by personal attacks, why don’t you explain to us dolts which of the cited events are bogus and why. In fact, why not just set us all straight regarding where the article goes wrong and what we actually might expect in the future. Many thanks.

NASA has me concerned about a “Kill Shot” sun flare. (Major Danes)
Locally, I live in St. Louis and I’m concerned about tornadoes somewhat- but really about earthquakes. We have a high water table, so an earthquake will crack my concrete walls in the basement and ground water will rush in- ruining my stored supplies for the coming economic depression. I’m worried I’ll have to walk to safety- but I can’t since a car accident has left me disabled- so I’ll die where I stand. I’m worried we’ll lose our home as the bills are piling up and our job hours are shrinking. No one at my work has had a pay raise in 3 years. In the meantime- the husband & I are older with failing health knowing we are poorer without a strong body to work ourselves out of our new financial pit. There is no hope- we don’t even use the word anymore. Actually- we HATE that word. “Hope” leaves a bitter taste.

I would advise a 5000 or 8000 watt generator. Get one that runs on propane and put the 1000
gal.tank under ground to protect and hide it.
Have the generator wired into your house thru a
transfer switch. Do not plan on running the unit
24 hours a day, shut it down when not needed and
have some good flashlights. You will need some
food and water and firearms of some sort. learn
how to use the weapons and I wish you all good
    luck.

Look at Greece, and Portugal. The current generation of recent university and technical college graduates are not working- or are in menial jobs if they are lucky. The current generation of teens will not be able to get a place in a university unless rich or lucky. The current generation of young kids are going to grow up poor with low expectations.
Thats three generations lost right there……..frightening….and it’s starting elsewhere.

Davidmpark – the Holocaust was a Christian event…

Hitler was trying to rebuild the Holy Roman Empire. The 1000 year Reich is a reference to the 1000 years of peaceful rule after Jesus defeated Lucifer (the Jews) – note in the bible Judas (the name for the Jewish people) betrays God.

When Hitler took Austria one of his very first acts was to acquire the spear of Christ that Charlemagne carried and Napolen sought. This is why the Church never spoke up and why they helped Nazis escape to Paraguay. It is histories unspoken truth, Hitler was the Churches attack dog and they lost control of the reigns.

I want to apologize to everyone for the site being down for a number of hours today.

It was a huge error by my hosting company that caused the problem, and thankfully they worked very hard for several hours to fix it.

Hopefully now the technical problems are behind us and everything will go super smoothly from now on. Most of you have probably noticed that since the server change the site loads much, much faster now. The new server can handle a ton of traffic, so traffic spikes should not be a problem moving forward.

Thanks again for visiting the site and reading the articles, and I will do my best to keep this site running as smoothly as possible.

Good Article! Agree: there are alot more “black swan” events that were not on the list, some not on anyone’s “radar” Disagree totally with the comment “why list them..there is nothing anyone can do.” Just finished reading an article on the will to survive, that is Ernest Shackleton, the guy who survived a number of black swan events and lived to tell about it.THERE is always a way to plan, improvise for an event, whatever..if you have the will. Just because something seems hopeless don’t give up. A book to recommend on “black swan” events: Armageddon Survival. As for comments regarding the “saved” and “unsaved”, read “When Bad Things Happen to Good People”. I’m religious and pray daily, but please save “saved” comments. Remember the comment “judge not lest thee be judged.”

    Micheal,
Although maybe not as high in possibility as some of the financial chaos we are facing, it might be much more serious should it occur. If we were unfortunate enough to experience an E.M.P. event, or a powerful solar flare event,(they have happened before) we potentially could lose a large portion of our power grid, maybe all of it, for months or years. We simply no longer have the manufacturing facilities to construct the huge transformers that could be fried, they are now built overseas.
If we lose the power grid, there are I believe, well over a hundred nuclear reactors in the U.S. that could face meltdown in a matter of days if they lose cooling capability. Even with emegency power, at some point without a power grid, we could no longer keep them fueled. If you are not familiar with what is happening at Fukushima, Japan, they have 3 reactors now that appear to be completely in meltdown. The amount of radiation, and the problems that the Japanese people are facing is enormous and their future uncertain, and that’s with 3 units failing, what happens here, should we lose any large number of reactors. I won’t speculate, but I don’t think any of us can get far enough away to be safe. We face a lot of unknowns in the near future, but this one concerns me most. The facts are, we can take protective actions that can keep this from happening, or at least minimize the damage, but it costs money that no one wants to spend. Our priorities really need to be reconsidered.

  • Lennie Pike

    Absolutely correct.

There are only about four countries remaining in the world that ARE NOT part of the rothschild satanic empire, and China is not one of them no matter what you hear on the mainstream news – the “West’s” corporations are located there for crying out loud.

China poses no danger to the West especially to the U.S. because China’s totalitarian system is the model for the coming world government, and the U.S. has already accepted it and implemented much of it.

But Russia is one of those four countries that remain and trouble is being stirred up there by the evil banking empire also. I’m sure Russia is also on the list for military invasion by our “patriotic” military members – good luck!

Most Americans will overwhelmingly be in favor of invading those evil Ruskie commies just as they have been in favor of every other recent invasion. The American Public are exactly as you described them – a joke. In their defense though, they have been intentionally dumbed down now for decades, and for this very reason – to be able to achieve a one world prison. There are four countries remaining to make it happen, and incredibly it is all coinciding with the collapse of the present financial system – diabolical timing.

The Russians could be the toughest, most intelligent, and pragmatic people in the world, and for some reason I like them a lot. I predict going up against them or their allies will be a big mistake, and the retaliation for it will be well deserved.

Right now is a good time for real Patriots to reclaim our freedom and restore our Constitutional Republic.

What really is pitiful is that the Obama Administration has no interest in going after financial crooks who have swindled and manipulated the economic downfall every politician gripes about. Trillions of dollars were involved there. As for Bank of America, what do you expect from the rocket scientists who will close your account when you did not have a single late payment in 8 years because you did not use your credit card for one month after you paid off your balance- but who will increase the credit limits on deadbeats who miss payments for months on end. Darwins Theory In Action works on Banks and other business who THINK they are too big to fail too.

Mississippi State University Being Trashed By Crime Dut To The Trayvon Martin Case
By Regina Ball of NewsCore News reporting:
    10:25 AM, Mar 26, 2012

STARKVILLE, Miss. (NewsCore News) – A student was shot to death at a Mississippi State University residence hall late Saturday night, prompting campus-wide alerts as authorities searched for suspects who fled the scene and local police tell NewsCore that the frenzy of the Trayvon Martin case down south has fueled passions that contributed to the rise in crime such as robberies and murders across the U.S. and abroad.
University spokeswoman Maridith Geuder said police received a call about the shooting at Evans Hall around 10 p.m. Saturday. The victim was taken to a hospital where he subsequently died.
Three male suspects fled the building in a blue Crown Victoria. As of early Sunday, no arrests had been made and the campus remained under emergency conditions.
Shortly after the shooting, the university began sending a series of text message alerts to students. Geuder said a team of university officials and police was meeting early Sunday to discuss the probability of the Trayvon Martin case in Sanford, Florida “reating conditions for terrorist related crime to sweep the country” and crime has hit several colleges and schools in at least 36 states so far, according to FBI and local police reports.
The four-story Evans Hall holds about 300 male students and is located on the north side of campus but a special alert is formed by police and security until further notice.

Roughly 44% of but only one of the major metropolitan areas in the U.S. consists of new Americans… primarily of people who are not ‘white’ and are from countries other than the U.S…people from all over the world… with differing outlooks on life…they are wanted and accepted here…and they are people who desire life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You are gravely mistaken to think all americans are white… and you are greatly mistaken to think that all americans are exactly the same…
