Right and wrong absolutely matter to God, and who are you to say that God isn’t going to repay those who persist in evil. Additionally, not everyone that claims to be a follower of Christ, is one, so steryotyping all Christians as materialistic and self centered doesn’t fly ( that makes as much sense as me thinking all women are thieves because I saw a woman steal something ). As for God creating the universe and then stepping away: what do you base this on? It seems that you fail to understand two things 1) How much God values righteousness and hates sin. You violate God’s standard ( we all do ) but then say He is too harsh, which leads to your 2nd misconception, you have grossly underestimated God’s incredible love for you, in that God sent his only Son into theworld to give his life as a sacrifice for all who would believe on him ( Jesus ). Please read the new testament book of Romans, specifically chapters 1 thru 8.

Free will is in Genesis at the time man fell from grace. God gave free will to fallen man with His plan to bring those who love and obey Him back to paradise. Your views demonstrate you form beliefs based on whatever you want to believe. You don’t seek truth. If you want to ever know spiritual truth read His Word that will set you free.

Rich, I think you start by becoming informed (not saying you personally aren’t, just speaking in general terms about what everybody should do). Know that those who run the show, the elites, only think of you as an instrument to enrich themselves. If you aren’t doing that, you’re an expense. Why else do you think they’re trying to eliminate all vestiges of the safety net in this country? I don’t do this ‘prepper’ thing, but I don’t begrudge people who do. I think they realize things are going downhill and they are trying to do what they can to be ready. The problem is, collapses can be sudden, or can drag out for over a century. There’s no telling when something like an economic collapse is going to happen. Try to have some land you can go to (yours or family land), but just be aware of the gradual transition towards what is coming. Individually if things fall apart we’re all on our own, at least initially. Collectively, before this happens, we can all act together only if we’re all on the same page and understand the problem. I wonder if anybody really thinks that the government is governing in the interests of its citizens anymore. I wonder how many trust the police and other private security details, or trust them to not brutalize the people if things turned south quickly. Look at how the cops beat the protestors at Occupy, pepper sprayed women and young people in the face, all for their amusement and to be bullies. Many were jackbooted thugs. Look at how little outrage we saw from our fellow citizens after that. Many thought that was a great thing, and laughed about it. These to me are very troubling. Just question everything you hear, read multiple sources, and have a healthy skepticism for any “official” statements on things; they usually turn out to be lies or half truths.

Yes right and wrong matter to God so much that christians in the US walk around crowing about how blessed they are because of all the good things in their lives such as health, money, a nice house. Meanwhile what is the child being beaten and starved by his parents everyday? Not blessed.

I believe that the world did have a creator. He created us because he could. But after that this creator stepped out of the picture. Seriously how much does one God need to be worshipped and loved by his creation? Sounds a bit egotistical to me to create us just for his own edification. One that is so much better than us lowly humans would not need that kind of worship.

Too much of pessimism is not what the world needs. We need to believe in our potential to make a better world for all. Let us help ourselves by developing our inner potential. We need to be our own friends and not the enemies by doing, thinking and writing some positive actions. Let us live and let live with hope and not a dooms day scenario. Let American help have nots so that they become equal partners for win-win situation towards a better future.
