In case you haven't noticed, the world is on the verge of a horrific global food crisis. At some point, this crisis will affect you and your family. It may not be today, and it may not be tomorrow, but it is going to happen. Crazy weather and horrifying natural disasters have played havoc with agricultural production in many areas of the globe over the past couple of years. Meanwhile, the price of oil has begun to skyrocket. There are all kinds of indications that we are now entering a time when there will not be nearly enough food for everyone in the world. As competition for food supplies increases, food prices are going to go up. In fact, at some point they are going to go way up.
Let's look at some of the key reasons why an increasing number of people believe that a massive food crisis is on the horizon.
The following are 20 signs that a horrific global food crisis is coming....
#1 According to the World Bank, 44 million people around the globe have been pushed into extreme poverty since last June because of rising food prices.
#2 The world is losing topsoil at an astounding rate. In fact, according to Lester Brown, "one third of the world's cropland is losing topsoil faster than new soil is forming through natural processes".
#3 Due to U.S. ethanol subsidies, almost a third of all corn grown in the United States is now used for fuel. This is putting a lot of stress on the price of corn.
#4 Due to a lack of water, some countries in the Middle East find themselves forced to almost totally rely on other nations for basic food staples. For example, it is being projected that there will be no more wheat production in Saudi Arabia by the year 2012.
#5 Water tables all over the globe are being depleted at an alarming rate due to "overpumping". According to the World Bank, there are 130 million people in China and 175 million people in India that are being fed with grain with water that is being pumped out of aquifers faster than it can be replaced. So what happens once all of that water is gone?
#6 In the United States, the systematic depletion of the Ogallala Aquifer could eventually turn "America's Breadbasket" back into the "Dust Bowl".
#7 Diseases such as UG99 wheat rust are wiping out increasingly large segments of the world food supply.
#8 The tsunami and subsequent nuclear crisis in Japan have rendered vast agricultural areas in that nation unusable. In fact, there are many that believe that eventually a significant portion of northern Japan will be considered to be uninhabitable. Not only that, many are now convinced that the Japanese economy, the third largest economy in the world, is likely to totally collapse as a result of all this.
#9 The price of oil may be the biggest factor on this list. The way that we produce our food is very heavily dependent on oil. The way that we transport our food is very heavily dependent on oil. When you have skyrocketing oil prices, our entire food production system becomes much more expensive. If the price of oil continues to stay high, we are going to see much higher food prices and some forms of food production will no longer make economic sense at all.
#10 At some point the world could experience a very serious fertilizer shortage. According to scientists with the Global Phosphorus Research Initiative, the world is not going to have enough phosphorous to meet agricultural demand in just 30 to 40 years.
#11 Food inflation is already devastating many economies around the globe. For example, India is dealing with an annual food inflation rate of 18 percent.
#12 According to the United Nations, the global price of food reached a new all-time high in February.
#13 According to the World Bank, the global price of food has risen 36% over the past 12 months.
#14 The commodity price of wheat has approximately doubled since last summer.
#15 The commodity price of corn has also about doubled since last summer.
#16 The commodity price of soybeans is up about 50% since last June.
#17 The commodity price of orange juice has doubled since 2009.
#18 There are about 3 billion people around the globe that live on the equivalent of 2 dollars a day or less and the world was already on the verge of economic disaster before this year even began.
#19 2011 has already been one of the craziest years since World War 2. Revolutions have swept across the Middle East, the United States has gotten involved in the civil war in Libya, Europe is on the verge of a financial meltdown and the U.S. dollar is dying. None of this is good news for global food production.
#20 There have been persistent rumors of shortages at some of the biggest suppliers of emergency food in the United States. The following is an excerpt from a recent "special alert" posted on Raiders News Network....
Look around you. Read the headlines. See the largest factories of food, potassium iodide, and other emergency product manufacturers literally closing their online stores and putting up signs like those on Mountain House's Official Website and Thyrosafe's Factory Webpage that explain, due to overwhelming demand, they are shutting down sales for the time being and hope to reopen someday.
So what does all of this mean?
It means that time is short.
For years, many "doom and gloomers" have been yelling and screaming that a food crisis is coming.

3)take waste from animals and add some corn stalks convert to CH4

6)make engines designed for alcohol like a 30/1 compression ratio
There you go food,fuel,and fertilizer plus there are other products that can be recovered in the process.
One example I like to use is the DNR, if you have ever been fishing they usually have size limits like a fish must be so large to keep,well thats totally counter to the way nature works.Nature over produces young/small fish.The best way to set the law would be unlimited fish under a certain size but leave the Large breeders to repopulate.

If you will recall in the Old Testament, it was the Jews who had trouble following the Laws that God gave them. So, He sent Jesus – a Jew – to be the last sacrifice. God actually made it EASIER for people to be saved by simply believing that this event occurred 2,000 years ago. He made it easy enough for anyone to get into Heaven. As far as this being a selfish ideal, I believe this to be the most selfless ideal ever. Just think, God loves us all enough to have sacrificed his ONLY son, whom he loved very much, just so us dirty, greedy, selfish humans could share in eternal happiness. To believe it is selfish to believe in this shows that you may need to dig back into your bible and find the truth. Jesus himself said “I am the door any that would try to come in any other way is a thief and a robber.” also ” I am the way, the truth, and the light”. You see we can not do enough good works or deeds to earn our way into heaven. God said “all our righteousness is as filthy rags” and “all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Jesus said “except a man be born again he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.” You see through Adam the fall of all mankind came into the world, we are born with a sin nature. We are spiritually dead. As it is written “through the first Adam all die, but through the second Adam (Jesus Christ) shall all be made alive. Now the only way to be made alive and born again, is to accept what Jesus has done for us and be filled with his spirit. Which means we no longer have that sin nature and we have Gods nature. As he said ” I will take away from them a stony heart and give them a heart of flesh, and I will write my laws in there hearts and in their minds.” and they “do by nature the things contained in the written law.” Jesus was perfect in every way, he loves us so much that he was made a curse for us that we could be made righteous. He took our place, he took all of our sins as his own, and imparted to us his righteousness. He was the only one worthy to do this and the only sacrifice God would accept for the sins of the world. Now you might ask why? why did it have to be this way? why didn’t God give everyone a heart after his own, God doesn’t want robots he doesn’t want people to love him because they are programmed to, he wants people to be with him because they choose to (free will). See living a Christian life is not about religion, it is about a relationship, as a father to his children. This world is full of religious people that will not enter in because they are not born again. and Jesus declares that he will tell them “depart from me I never knew you” do not let people that have professed christianity only to see their lives full of hypocrisy, bitterness and the like, discourage you. These things are not for us to judge whose and what they really are. All that we can do is look at whose and what we are. The bible says that we ought to judge ourselves. For every man shall give account for his or her own life. And yes we all our Gods creation but all are not his children. A few months ago, a preacher came and spoke about things going on in Israel which would never be revealed or broadcast by the media because they don’t want to apply ‘scare tactics’ to the world about biblical truths being fulfilled before our very eyes regarding Israel. Probably because they themselves refuse to acknowledge the truth of the Bible. This preacher stressed to us the importance of a famine coming soon and to be prepared, but also for those who put their trust in Almighty God, He will provide, because HE has promised and it is written. But this promise is ONLY for those who put the full trust in the LORD. Yes I believe that the rapture of the saints is imminent. I believe that soon all born-again believers who have stayed faithful to God will be taken up from this sin-sick world while Almighty God deals with it and it’s inhabitants most severely because of their refusal to accept His Son Christ Jesus the Messiah. (It is written).How do we know this will happen? God has spoken. End of debate! So, my dear brother, we must endure till the end and only the LORD Himself will make the way out which is the promise of Salvation to all who believe. To those reading this who are not saved….GET SAVED QUICKLY BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE. Put you whole trust in the one and only Saviour, who has the words of eternal life. His Name is JESUS.
Use your fiat currency now to “stock up” on needed things, follow your instinctual cravings to prepare for the future. I am also a victim. Stay strong and it will pass. I know, I beat them. Show no fear and they will lose intrest. There is much help and support online if you seek it. They still follow me but do not harass me any longer. I have been a victim for 23 years, since 1988. Spread the word, it helps all of us.
Store up whole grains, salt, water, vegetable oil, etc. They’re fairly cheap right now. Put them in water proof and rodent-safe containers, like coffee cans. Write on them the name of the food and the date. Keep in cool & dark areas, even under tables, beds, in closets, etc. Then add some of your favorite foods to your storage.
Went to the store for groceries yesterday. I was going to buy some bacon for Sunday breakfast. It jumped from $3.98 to $4.88 in just a couple weeks. I know it is a little thing but yet, so very big. We don’t have to eat bacon, I know this. What happens when oatmeal (which we usually eat 6 days a week) goes to $5.00?
I’m glad for the wake up call. I notice prices going up around me but this one price increase opened my eyes. Sunday breakfast is a “treat” breakfast. I realize it is going to affect my family more than I have previously realized.
For all of you who believe in the “Rapture” please go back and study your bibles, just between you and the Lord, and ask him for understanding. This is a man-made doctrine to deceive people and has been used to lull God’s people to sleep. It is indeed a very comfortable thought that we as christians will not be here or see all of these things coming on this earth with our own eyes. But it simply is not the truth. Do you not realize that it is tribulation that separates the wheat from the tares, as he said “then shall it be known who are my chosen” But you may say what about 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ? Indeed. Put that with 1 Corinthians 15:52 that that tells us it is the last trump. Go to Revelations 11:15-18 and read about the last trump. and remember what the Lord said in Matthew 24:4-35. He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Daniel 11:33-35. Psalms 91. There are those that are truly seeking God and are hid in the secret place as in Psalms 91 and those promises apply. There are those that really belong to him, but have not been giving it their all and they will be tried by fire to be purged and made white. But this one thing we as Gods’ children can be sure of. God will not forsake us. Regardless what we have to go through to get us where we need to be, and make us who we are supposed to be. He that began a good work in us will complete it. So when tribulation, persecution and worldly troubles arise, lets pull closer to him, and not let doubt and disbelief try to pull us away from him. Remember the parable of the sower. And read the faith chapter in the book of Hebrews chapter 11. What things they had to go through verse 36-38. They had to endure these things and we believe somehow we are a special generation that will not see any sorrows, contrary to what the Lord himself has told us. And Michael you are correct to prepare is Gods’ wisdom. Remember Proverbs: the ants gather their food in the summer. This is Wisdom.

I absolutely agree with Michael, and disagree with JesusSaves.
Most people today do not pay attention to the fact that for the last 1800+ years Christians have believed that Jesus will return at the last day.
If you read John chapter 6, and look for the term “at the last day” (it is in ch 6 four times!), you will find that the last day is in reference to the righteous dead being resurrected.
Then if you read the famous and falsely advertised “pre-trib” rapture verse in 1st Thessalonians Ch 4 and verse 16, you find a very interesting phrase “the dead in Christ shall rise first”, meaning that before we are raptured, the dead in Christ shall rise first.
There is only 1 logical conclusion that can be reached after reading these 2 passages.
THE RAPTURE TAKES PLACE AT THE LAST DAY!!!!!!
So, in conclusion, we will go through the tribulation. Please prepare and do not be deceived into believing that God will wisk us away before times get tough.
And,when God pours out His wrath upon the nations, it will be horrendous. Hey, did you also read this:- ‘But God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain Salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ’ who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him’ I have it in writing and it’s right there in 1 Thessalonians 5: 9 – 10. That’s the good news for all who receive Chrust. Have you not read these wonderful words of truth? ”All flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer’ And, as I’m sure you are aware that ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God and became flesh and dwelt among us. Talking about Jesus being God. So TK, if Jesus is not the one who saves….who is? And if Jesus does NOT save…as you presume, then do tell us what the Bible means in Matthew chapter one verse 12 which specifically and categorically says:- ‘And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS for he shall SAVE people from their sins’ TK, you are in serious error when you disagree with the Jesus saves doctrinal truth. Put that right quickly old son and let God bless you for your obedience. JESUS SAVES….BELIEVE! There is no other Saviour TK. ONLY JESUS.
