Right back at you, I flip your same logic and argument as best applying to you,not me. And really ho arrogant to define your own definition of civilization as the ideal. and please explain why my or others belief in the bible is “holding back civilization”. Please be specific now and tell me what is being held back and how. For instance did Christianity hold back your right to legally smoke stupid weed or go get aids or other std’s, or right to go to the doctor and get treated and drive up insurance rates? Please elaborate you can’t just throw out your unsubstantiated prejudices as “facts”. Otherwise you might be back in the seventies worrying about the science of global cooling and impending ice age or have you so soon ” forgotten”?

Yes, lets throw out everything we’ve learned scientifically and blame this on God’s work. That’ll move society along. People need to start looking at this scientifically and not biblical.

Production of vegetables stated can be grown elsewhere in the United States. We can live without Plums so no huge loss. This would probably just spark economic growth in other areas of the US.

As cynical as this sounds it’s true. If California turns back into desert, we’ll see more Farm lands opening up around the US elsewhere. Did you also forget about human’s abilities to evolve and adapt to the environment? Sometimes the world changes. Its just part of how the Earth works.

Which god, there are about 2500 that humans worship. As the article states, the 20th century was the wettest. Southern CA has been a desert for thousands of years.
