If you look at some folks explanations as to why the Soviet-Union failed, one thing coming forward is that workers who aren´t paid don´t perform that well.

So let us see, what policies do they support? No minimum wage, no private unions… Workers must have third-world salaries and be okay with that, otherwise it will be a disaster!
They pretended to pay us, we pretended to work.
Where exactly does that slogan apply nowadays? Yep, that´s right!
The fact is that the US did not become a great power on a purely free market platform but because of the American School of Economics, you are familiar with it?

I feel bad for anyone who dumped ALL of his or her investments to buy gold, silver or mining stocks based on the past five years of gloom and doom predictions regardless of the source. Moderation, diversification and preparation are always the best course of action. Hope for the best, plan for the worst and do what you can to ensure you’re around to enjoy / survive as the case may be.

I think it can be pretty normal to travel to a developing country and come into the U.S. and not be feeling well after you arrive. I know when we returned from a trip to China six years ago, I was a little sick after returning–no fever or anything like that, just run down and not my usual self.
