I do not blame the rich for trying to save their money they worked for. Why should lazy, non workers, retirees on disability dopeheads and many many undeserving people receive working rich or non rich money. The Income tax is very unfair. I pay taxes at 84 on a small
annuity I do not expect the rich to issue me a monthly check. People
should work and save for hard times. Think about it. I trust and honor God not the white house.

The “eye of the needle” has been claimed to be a gate in Jerusalem, which opened after the main gate was closed at night. A camel could only pass through this smaller gate if it was stooped and had its baggage removed. This story has been put forth since at least the 15th century, and possibly as far back as the 9th century. However, there is no evidence for the existence of such a gate.

Why do you say that the tax code is *broken*? It’s not. It’s *designed* to work this way. Every notice that most politicians are lawyers and they’re not poor? You can bet that before a politician closes a loophole, he checks with his accountant and tax attorney before doing so.

Your post is either very naive or you are pandering to the them. Perhaps in defense of your own self. Your sweeping generalization “most of the wealthiest people live on dividends ” is an overt over simplification. Just Like I do no not criticize people simply because they are rich. I know wealthy people and I have a personal friend who does exactly what you say. He has purchased many good solid stocks and lives on their dividends. But he himself admits that there are way too many wealthy people out there who have gotten there at others expense. Open your eyes and learn a little about large corporations who’s ONLY bottom line is to make money. To look good to the share holders. My former employer’s Father had a 50 employee stock brokerage firm. And he ran his business with integrity and honesty. His specialty was getting funding for new up and coming start ups. Back then Even I bought some stock. Now There is a huge change. Large corporations are lobbying (bribing) the government to slacken rules (deregulation) that endangers public safety.
It was president Ronald Reagan who came up with the idea of “trickle down economics ” Saying himself that if the rich had less to pay they would have more money to spend on the economy. This idea has proven to be a myth. If what you mean by the majorly of the Rich does not include the very wealthy then I would agree. Because the very rich DO NOT live off of dividends except maybe if they are retired. No many of them OWN corporations. And the trickle down theory? Watch some documentaries or read some books. The truly wealthy tend to with some exceptions , to keep the wealth with in the family. Most of their wealth is in banks outside the USA. Then there is always another side to this tax issue. The amount of taxes collected by the government determines what they have to spend.They like every other organization have a budget.
The 911 Terror attacks spawned a plethora of wars in the name of national security. The wars themselves were too expensive to the point that the debt reached a critical point at which we are now facing an impending financial crash that will kill more people and ruin more lives that any terrorist attacks. So who REALLY won? I am admitting it is not all on the rich the problems we are having . But also the mismanagement of our taxes.
