Americans look at their political parties as if they ARE sports teams, they follow them blindly, their only concern is ‘are we winning’ and to hell with the consequences. If you can’t look at all political parties and see faults and weaknesses then you aren’t looking hard enough. You only have to look at the Presidential elections to see the fan base of each candidate; it looks like a football game. I ‘m sure that most haven’t got a clue. I am glad that Australian federal election campaigns only last 6 week.
