In the past, we didn’t tend to own homes. The one exceptional group was agricultural areas where white males tended to be granted land or could buy land with a mortgage.

Mortages were not available to women and people of color. Land ownership was denied to women. Also, in some areas, either by custom or law, some people of color were not allowed to buy land.

In cities, it was more customary to be a renter than an owner, simply because subdivision of land cannot be performed on a multistory apartment building – you need to go co-op or condo.

So, numerically, home ownership has only increased until the most recent collapse.

Among white males, however, it might seem that it’s become tougher to be a homeowner. That is partly because white males no longer have a government sponsored monopoly on the privilege of owning land. But, mostly, the economy’s been tough on everyone.

Welcome to the tough life. It’s a lot harder when you’re not having women and slaves carry you around, ain’t it?

What they forget is that some wisdom is so great, it transcends time.

This worldwide debt that America suffers; I’m starting to feel it in Canada as well. The housing bubble, the inflation; everything. But I’m not going to simply sit back and let those things eat away at the wealth I intend to build..

The US *deserves* this; if you live in the US, you will pay too, either through higher taxes, or fewer services. For example, at least 1 million unemployed Americans are getting ready to lose their unemployment payouts. Congress has decided to end unemployment benefits after 99 weeks, just short of 2 years. What happens when those 1 million people stop getting unemployment benefits? They will be homeless; they will become predators, most likely in poorer neighborhoods, stealing from and engaging in thuggery and violence against those who still have something. You won’t be able to call police, because there are fewer police to come stop the violence and predation. There won’t be anyone to call; people will be on their own. Food costs have risen astronimically in the past year; they will continue to go up; ordinary Americans will find it harder and harder to afford food, and if fuel costs go up, trucking companies will go out of business and won’t get food to stores in the normal manner, so there will be less food to buy. What will poor Americans in urban areas do then? People who live in the country will be able to grow at least some of their food; people in cities will have to riot and steal theirs.

Trying to make this about race is pointless; when there is no money left, race-baiting won’t save you. So, try to think in terms of what’s best for all of America, not just how you can exact revenge for some imagined slight hundreds of years ago. You’ve never in your lifetime suffered anything like what you are about to suffer. It’s not about “race,” it’s about money–who has it, and who doesn’t.

Call it karma.

If the stated value, of “Federal” Reserve notes, declines enough with respect to copper and nickel, the 1946-2009 U.S. Mint nickels, composed of cupronickel alloy, could become somewhat rare in mass circulation.

The April 23rd metal value of these nickels is “$0.0625836” or 125.16% of face value, according to the “United States Circulating Coinage Intrinsic Value Table” available at Coinflation.com.

If the American people were to buy controlling stock in U.S. banks, then the people could hold the controlling interest as to how the funds are handled?
