i seriously doubt that las vegas will completely die, as a city, and an
entertainment hub…but with that said, it won’t see the excesses of the old days, the five dollar buffets, and the like. but new companies will rise out of the wreckage, and snap up what is left, after all the fair weather friends have come and gone. las vgas thrives on the service industry, unlike detroit, which thrived on goods, and products.
i was recently (2 months ago) in las vegas, and it was still moving shaking and grooving.
mmm
wake me when the 99 cent breakfast buffet comes back……amen…….

I would like to see a follow-up; according to everything I have been researching, things are getting even worse. I moved out in 2004, and would like to eventually move back, but there is still much more downsizing and pain to come.
