The Last Days Of America? 25 Signs Of Extreme Social Decay

Are we on the verge of societal collapse?  Many of the greatest empires throughout world history were not conquered by outside forces.  Rather, they crumbled inwardly as extreme social decay set in.  There have been many that have compared the last days of the Roman Empire to what America is going through right now.  In the decades following World War II, the United States was the most powerful and the most prosperous nation on the entire planet, but now things are rapidly changing.  There are literally thousands of signs that our society is collapsing all around us.  All you have to do to see this is turn on a television or pick up a newspaper.  I spend a lot of time discussing our nightmarish economic and political headaches in this column, but the truth is that our problems go much deeper than that.  Even if a major miracle happened and we got the “right person” into the White House, the Federal Reserve was shut down, our 16 trillion dollar national debt was paid off, our trade deficit went to zero, a solution was found for the quadrillion dollar derivatives bubble and the “too big to fail” banks were broken up, we would still be facing a national crisis of unprecedented magnitude.  The cold, hard reality of the matter is that America has become an absolute cesspool of filth and corruption, and the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted is rapidly disappearing.  Until we get our hearts right, there is not much hope for the future of this once great nation.

So are these the last days of America?  The following are 25 signs of extreme social decay….

#1 We have come to accept that it is “normal” that security goons should be allowed to touch the private parts of our women and our children in the name of “national security”.  Just check out the ordeal that conservative radio host and Breitbart editor Dana Loesch suffered through recently at the hands of the TSA

They performed the regular pat-down and then the agent informed me that she would be using the front of her hands to “sweep” my groin. She pressed and swept across my crotch three times horizontally and three times vertically. In any other circumstance this would be sexual assault.

The agents themselves were friendly and smiled, yet I was still denied a public screening and no witness of my own present for the screening itself (a second agent was in the room at the time). I had no reason to be angry with the agents themselves, yet I was angry, and still am, at the regulations which require them to routinely violate men, women, and children in the name of a false sense of security.

#2 Police up in New Jersey say that a man kept his girlfriend padlocked in a bedroom for most of the last 10 years.

#3 It is hard to imagine some of the sick things that people do behind closed doors.  Down in Florida, one former medical examiner was apparently collecting human body parts

In what could be described as an episode of “Auction Hunters” turned reality horror show, authorities in Pensacola are investigating after finding human brains, hearts and lungs in a storage unit they say belonged to a former medical examiner.

Someone bought the storage unit at an auction last week and noticed a foul smell as they were sifting through furniture and boxes.

Officials at the medical examiner’s office in Pensacola say the remains of more than 100 people were found crudely stored in Tupperware containers, garbage bags and drink cups.

#4 A former fifth grade teacher down in Atlanta has admitted that she helped her students cheat because they were “dumb as hell“.

#5 Many debt collectors are willing to say absolutely despicable things in order to collect debts.  One debt collector recently told a disabled military veteran that if he would have “served our country better” he would not be disabled and that he “should have died“…

“If you would have served our country better you would not be a disabled veteran living off Social Security while the rest of us honest Americans work our asses off,” one of the agency’s debt collectors allegedly told the vet. “Too bad, you should have died.”

Michael Collier was declared 100 per cent disabled after suffering permanent spine and head injuries while in the Army. As a result, both Collier and his wife receive disability payments from the federal Social Security Administration, which are exempt from seizure by debt collectors.

#6 In many areas of the country, street drugs have become so powerful that they are pushing users completely over the edge.  Of course there is never any excuse for murdering children, but would any rational person do this kind of thing without being high on drugs?…

A Camden, N.J. man was charged with murder for allegedly slashing the throat of a 6-year-old Camden boy. Police say he told investigators he was smoking a combination of marijuana and PCP, known as “Wet” just before the killing.

Osvaldo “Popeye” Rivera, 31, was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with murder and attempted murder.

Police say Rivera was trying to sexually assault the boy’s 12-year-sister and the little boy tried to come to her defense. Investigators say Rivera slashed the throats of both children.

#7 A school bus driver in Wisconsin recently told a 12-year-old boy that “maybe your mother should have chosen abortion for you” because he didn’t like the Romney campaign sign standing in his front yard.

#8 We are continuing to see a rash of “zombie attacks” all over the nation.  The following is one recent example from Pennsylvania….

A Doylestown man, who was naked and bleeding profusely, gnawed on woman’s head all while “screaming like an animal” during a wild neighborhood rampage, state police said.

#9 A beekeeper over in North Carolina says that someone recently stole 20,000 bees from his property.

#10 Evidence of social decay extends to the highest levels of the federal government.  Just check out what some highly paid federal workers have been doing when they were supposed to be working…

In 2006, the deputy press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security was arrested for trying to seduce online someone he thought was a teenage girl. Four years later, the Securities and Exchange Commission found that 17 of 31 employees caught accessing porn at work since 2008 — one for up to eight hours a day — were senior staff.

In 2010, the Boston Globe reported that senior Pentagon staff were downloading child porn. Instead of generating a media storm, the story died. Senior staff were watching the sexual torture of small children on Pentagon computers, and Americans were not outraged?

#11 In a shocking murder trial in southern California, prosecutors have played a tape of a former chef admitting to police that he slow cooked the body of his wife for four days.

#12 The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the entire world, and many of our prisons are absolute hellholes.  The following is what a former inmate named Daniel Miller recently told Business Insider about what really goes on inside our prisons…

“When they found out the black homosexual had approached me talking that homosexual stuff, I was told ‘Look you have to stab him or pipe him down,'” Miller recently told Business Insider about his first experiences during two decades spent in and out of prison, most recently for robbery.

“The guys were there just to make sure I actually split this guy’s head open.”

Those “guys” were the Aryan Brotherhood, one of the most famous and feared jailhouse gangs.

Miller, now 38, joined up when he first entered the correctional system in Kansas as a teen. He bounced around a number of different facilities before being released on Sept. 19 this year.

“At 16 years old, I wanted to be accepted in prison,” he said. “I would fight everybody.”

He grew so cold and so good at fighting he became the one ordering attacks on fellow inmates — something that still haunts him.

#13 A 7-year-old boy was part of a gang of youths that recently invaded the home of a 51-year-old woman and beat the living daylights out of her.

#14 What in the world has gotten into our kids?  Many of them have literally turned into little monsters.  Just check out what two little boys recently did to a church in Virginia

Two little boys caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to a Loudon County church, according to officials.

The vandals used the children’s toys and art supplies to damage the sanctuary, fellowship hall, and Sunday school rooms. They also smeared food for needy families and their own feces and urine on walls and floors.

According to Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider, all that damage was done by two boys, aged 6 and 7.

#15 A former high school English teacher has been accused of having sex with five different male students.  The most disturbing part is that she is a mother of three children and her husband is serving this country in the U.S. Army.

#16 You might want to think twice before becoming a pizza delivery worker.  Just check out what happened over in Dallas recently…

Two Dallas teens called in a pizza order to lure a delivery worker to a Grand Prairie house, then beat the woman in the head with a pistol and sexually assaulted her on the porch, according to Grand Prairie police reports released Wednesday.

Bleeding and wearing just a bra, the 30-year-old woman drove herself back to a Grand Prairie Pizza Hut, the reports stated.

The 17-year-olds accused in the July 24 robbery and sexual assault were in custody Wednesday at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center in Dallas in what Grand Prairie police are calling one of the city’s “most heinous offenses” in recent memory.

#17 According to shocking new research by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately two-thirds of all Americans in the 15 to 24 year old age bracket have engaged in oral sex.

#18 Last year it was reported that 86 teen girls at one high school in Memphis, Tennessee were either pregnant or had recently given birth.

#19 Sex trafficking has become a raging epidemic in America.  It is estimated that there are now approximately a million prostitutes in the United States.  Most of them are being trafficked by male “pimps”.

#20 As our social decay gets even deeper, it is going to become more important than ever to secure our homes.  Just check out what happened over in Kansas City, Missouri recently…

An elderly couple is recovering Tuesday after they were brutally beaten inside their south Kansas City home.

The woman was also raped, according to a police report.

Tony L. Putman, 18, of Kansas City was charged with six felonies Tuesday afternoon. The charges include one count of rape and two counts of robbery.

The couple’s ordeal began about 1:30 p.m. Monday when a man broke into their home near 73rd Street and Campbell Avenue. Entry was gained through a basement window, which was broken.

#21 It is becoming easy to understand why so many Americans are arming themselves these days.  Even Brad Pitt says that he “doesn’t feel safe” without a gun.

#22 In this day and age you often can’t even trust the police.  Just check out this recent example

Police in Cherryville took bribes, helped transport stolen goods and extorted money in a multi-state operation that raked in at least $750,000, according to federal indictments unsealed Wednesday.

FBI agents flocked to the Cherryville Police Department and several homes in Cherryville Wednesday morning, loading up boxes of evidence and making arrests.

#23 Overall, more than 50 million abortions have been performed in the United States since Roe vs. Wade was decided back in 1973.  At this point, the number of babies killed by abortion in America every year is almost as high as the total number of military deaths in all of U.S. history.

#24 Respect for parents has declined to shockingly low levels in America.  Just check out what one son down in Florida recently did to his own mother

A Florida man yesterday rubbed dog feces in his mother’s face during an argument in the home they share, police report.

Cops arrested William Jenkins, 22, on a felony domestic battery charge for pushing his mother, 53, to the floor during the dispute, according to a Palmetto Police Department report.

When questioned by cops, Jenkins denied pushing his mother, but admitted that he “did rub dog defecation on her face because she yelled at him,” investigators noted.

#25 A 21-year-old Utah man is being accused of stabbing his grandmother 111 times and then removing some of her organs.  But news like this hardly makes headlines anymore because crimes such as this one have become so common.

Sadly, a list like this one could go on indefinitely.  More examples of extreme social decay pop up in the news almost hourly.

But we don’t like to admit that we have problems.  Our politicians continue to proclaim how we are “the greatest nation on earth” and that the rest of the world should follow our example.

Rarely do you ever hear politicians talk about how we are the most obese nation on the planet, about how we have the highest divorce rate on the planet or about how we have the highest teen pregnancy rate on the planet.

Until we are willing to admit just how bad things have gotten, we will never be willing to accept the solutions that are necessary to start fixing things.

Many Americans are pinning their hopes on the upcoming election, but instead of making things better I am concerned that this election may trigger a lot of the anger that is boiling just under the surface in this country.

If we continue down the path that we are currently on, the social decay that we are now experiencing is going to accelerate.

The fundamental level of trust that any society needs in order to operate efficiently is breaking down, and more Americans than ever are living in fear.  You can see it in their eyes.

Our politicians can pile on millions more laws, rules and regulations and they can put a police officer on every corner, but that isn’t going to make Americans trust one another.  Once confidence in our societal institutions and our faith in one another is gone, it is going to be incredibly difficult to ever rebuild it.

Yes, we really are on the verge of societal collapse. What we are experiencing right now is just the leading edge of the coming crisis.

Things are going to get a whole lot worse from here.

      hahaha.

It is a scientific fact that Americans are a bunch of stupid animals easy to manipulate and subdue.

      • davidmpark

You sound like my mum. :)

She also says “It’s a scientific fact” a lot without the data and documentation to back it up, too!

  • Mondobeyondo

I think you missed the story about the naked caveman terrorizing hikers in El Paso, Texas….

    http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/state&id=8848764

Yeah, this country’s going down fast. We cannot survive as a civilized society for much longer, if society itself doesn’t make some radical changes. There is no sign of that happening anytime soon. We are approaching a time when nobody has any respect for anything. Not for government, their own property, the property and lives of others, the legal and justice system, or each other for that matter. Anything goes. The only rules are, there are no rules. That’s anarchy.

    • Eisenkreutz

Fish rot from the head down. Our leaders are criminals. If Sulla could, why cant I?

    • RainyDay

Mondo, I cannot respect government when it is they who are causing so much corruption.

    • Annette

When you read what Jesus said it would be like in the “last days” of this age, before He returns, then look at the news…it’s all there. I never thought that I would see this come to pass in my lifetime. And, it is that bad.

  • Larry1356

More like signs leading of your depression rather than signs of the end of the USA.

  • Tatiana Covington

But some of us are working on fusion power and warp drives.

    • Graham

      Tatiana:-

There is no question that many are already running on “warped drives” with chemically “fused” mindsets. That would be the drive behind the madness and insanity, fuelled by toxically induced thinking.

When you want to control a countries population, you must first get control of its money. Thereafter, you work on mind dissociation and poisoning the inner systems. Multiple “tools” have been very successful in achieving the former and latter. Way too much to get into here. Just watch the “sheep”. When they become “aware”, they are no longer sheep. They ask searching questions and seek proven answers.

To put it crudely, we are essentially a race running on half a brain (which is left hemisphere dominant), of which on average, we only have 10% conscious awareness of what is going on in that half at any given moment in time (waking state). That essentially leaves 90% room for improvement. How many invest in their thinking, rather than their self image? How many believe they are “what they own”?

On the subject of the “waking state”, we have what I refer to as the “40Hz” + club where the mind is in a constant state of disarray and predominantly driven by “ego drama”. It’s amazing to observe and can be highly dangerous when you become the target. The key is to never provide an “ego” with a “reaction”. That’s exactly what feeds it. Some refer to people like this as “emotional vampires” (narcissists).

To see the difference, get into the company of somebody who knowingly operates between 8-12/12-22 cycles per second and can enter states like lower Theta and Delta at will. I’m referring to people who practice meditation, or simply possess a natural calmness about them and have their brain operating within natural parameters by remaining fully connected with “source”. Quantum physics recognises the latter.

What everybody observes around them everyday is disconnected minds that live and thrive in a state of complete and perpetual disorder, resulting in chemically induced zombies. This is the root cause of all problems. Most just talk about the symptoms and bypass the actual cause and effect processes. Who helps the problem along? Why?

The most profound statement in this article is “Until we get our hearts right… “. Too many people live in their “mind” and suffer from what neuroscientists term as “spin”. Live fMRI scans have proven it. Refer to Google Tech Talks as one source of data. The “heart” is the true seat of mind, not the cerebral cortex (etc).

When the frontal cortex does not “illuminate”, you have the mind of a psychopath. Welcome to Wall Street and many CEO’s? It extends a lot further than this. One of the main symptoms to watch for is a total disregard for other human beings (and other life forms) due to having zero empathy. Again, all scientifically proven.

A “sleeping” population is a highly controllable population. Now consider the state this world is in. Why? We are certainly not living in the manner nature designed us to live, hence the breakdown and total collapse of all systems, including ourselves! How did the indigenous people fair until Europeans arrived on the scene? Destruction in the name of progress? Where are we now? Full circle with a trail of unbelievable destruction?

We are essentially experiencing the onslaught of a “full reset” in perception and mind conditioning and will eventually reconnect with source. This is the last thing the global elite want to see happen as they will lose control. Good.. time for all to “consciously awaken”! Forget consumerism and materialism; boost your brain power instead.

The key is to “observe” oneself and learn more through “inquiry”. “Know thyself” [Greek]. Who is “me” and who is “I”. Who is “myself”. Who am I? You are certainly not your aggregates! Get beyond ego and all becomes clearer. Remember your natural state? Few do. Also see “Heal thyself” [Luke 4:23].

It has been spoken about in ancient traditions for thousands of years, but knowledge gets lost in antiquity. In other cases, it is totally and purposely suppressed. That is why we have secret societies within secret society’s. The knowledge is protected for selfish reasons. Notice the level of corruption? You become what you think.

Here is an interesting thought about the significance of our planet. I believe it was Buzz Aldrin who held up his thumb whilst on the moon and it totally obscured our planet from view. In the grand scheme of things, are we far more “insignificant” than what we believe, or think, whilst on the earths surface?

Check out some footage taken from space looking back at our blue planet. Now consider what is going on “there and then” on the surface and within our cities. Got it? It’s flipping nutz! If you were an “Alien” (space visitor), would you openly announce your arrival at the “zoo”, or keep a safe distance and essentially observe? “In my Fathers house, there are many rooms” [John 14:2].

I’m not a religious person, but certain meanings in scripture have to be re examined. Re meditation and the effect on “mind”, “Be still, and know that I am God” [Psalm 46:10]. Does that equate to bringing the mind to a restful state of alertness, as in Alpha, Theta or Delta brainwaves? The “experience” will tell all, but so few know.

“Waking up” has just been explained. The Knower, the Known, and the process of Knowing. Did that sound like Rumsfeld? No “Unknowns” here! Researched, proven, tested and experienced (1980’s onwards).

Let the madness continue.. and it will.

      • phelps

Excellent. I’ve got to look into this. Thanks for sharing.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

You could have summed it up nicely by saying, “read Aldous Huxley”

  • Tatiana Covington

PS: The reality is that most people are either only a sideshow or excess baggage.

    • Eisenkreutz

      Useless eaters.

    • Lena

      Agree 100%

The problem is most people do not give any thought or effort to anything that does not directly affect them. Now, decades ago; that was okay because you could trust public and private leaders to do the right thing, you can’t trust them anymore; so unless more people push them to do the right thing; it isn’t going to happen.

Personally, I think the USA is on the road to being England west and if you’re under 50; you’ll get a chance to live in it.

      • Graham

        Lena:-

With the severe lack of “brain power” and “moral conscience” (etc) in our society today, the consequences of a “lack of thinking” are very clear for all to see. What has happened to our sense of “responsibility”?

It a person of great wisdom who firstly considers the implications of their words and/or actions, prior to saying or doing something. The differences between a “connected” and “disconnected” mind are astounding and being helped along at an alarming rate through chemical intoxication, including food and (non alcoholic) drinks including water..

The sad truth is many have become so ignorant of their own natural abilities. I hate to say this, but aspects of the “left” believe they should be doing people’s thinking for them. The more this occurs, the more docile and stupid people seem to become. Such people stop being contributors and turn into takers. Who pays for this nonsense and who suffers due to the destructive damage such a mindset causes? It’s a double whammy.

Everything and anything that is motivated by this “One World Government” [illusion] has clearly got a very firm hand in shaping society into something considered suitable for total control and rule. Screw them! The power and influence of nature will have its way eventually. We first need to get the “muddled” up minds “unmuddled” and unite with the remaining sane and sensible who still have morals and ethics.

  • Mondobeyondo

And we still hypocritically sing “God Bless America”.

God has blessed us enormously in the past. But do you really think He will continue to bless us, with what is going on in this nation? No way. He is already removing His blessings from us. Expect more hardship in the future. More drought, earthquakes, tornadoes, food shortages, much higher prices, a collapsing dollar, etc. The decadence, hedonism, immorality, mockery of God and Jesus Christ in movies, pop culture and daily life (God will NOT be mocked! Galatians 6:7) does not go unnoticed by God. He is watching every move.

Maybe the Islamic fundamentalists are on to something. We just might be the “Great Satan”. As a nation, we sure are acting like it!

    • Gary2

      what would magog say???

      • Mondobeyondo

Magog would launch an ad campaign.. “Pepsi! The choice of a new generation!”
        hmmm..

      • davidmpark

Obama and the Left have been IN CHARGE for the last 4 years! Republicans only had the House for the last 2!

Your lot has been in charge and you’re still blaming people that left 4 years ago for what your guys claimed they could fix.

        Your side is a failure!

Utter, total, complete, shameful failure! Along with the Progressive Republicans!

Your argument is invalid. Deal with it.

    • Gay Veteran

      “Sloth: American workforce”

odd, we actually work much more than anyone else in the industrial world

  • WM

Great article Michael, very sad though. The crimes are getting more and more bizarre. I think it is a combination of things. 1) Break down of family unit. 2) No Biblical foundation in kids lives today. 3)People being heavily medicated, causing irrational behavior. 4) Demon possession in many different aspects of society. 5) Wimpy judicial system not bringing HARSH punishment and death penalty for violent crimes.

We are on the road to Hell in this nation. America as many of us who are over 45 years old, is gone forever. I used to believe that if this nation repented, it could be restored, I don’t believe that anymore for a second. Individual repentance and restoration back to God, yes, but the Biblical prophecies of a One world system, are starting to fall in place very quickly, and America has to fall, and lose its huge influence around the world and lose its ability to be able to give $$$$$ to other nations, in particular, Israel. I think once our dollar collapses or economy falls, we will no longer be able to help Israel with weapons and $$$$$, then you will see Israel all alone, surrounded by enemies all around, and then things are going to get very interesting and dark if/when that happens.

I believe God is Love and is VERY longsuffering and merciful. But, he is also very Holy and righteous, and he will not bless a nation/people who have rejected him, his Word, and his ways, rather, he will judge said people. The USA has long been a blessing to millions around the world and a beacon of hope and freedom. Many will say that for some reason, the Living God of the Bible chose to bless this nation, so that this nation may be a vehicle of blessing to millions of people. That is exactly what happened. But, in our prosperity and pride, we arrived to a point that we decided that we no longer think that we need God. Now instead of spreading blessings around the world, we spread cancerous sin in the form of entertainment, (pornography, violent games/movies,alternate lifestyles, liberal morality, etc) This is now affecting other developing countries around the world. I work with many immigrants, and they say that up until very recently, cohabitation, dating, homosexuality, womans lib, kids moving out at 18,respect for elders, young men respecting young woman, etc., etc) was unheard of, but now “The American Way” is “affecting” their culture and anything you find in America can now be found in their countries.

Oh well, I am ranting. The links show some very disturbing behavior, and I fear we have only seen the beginning of it.

I pray for repentance and revival towards the Lord Jesus Christ, to heal this land and culture if it is even possible.

    • Gary2

so are you saying magog and gog made them do ti???

      • davidmpark

That’s “Gog of Magog”, not magog and gog. And you tell us cause he’s supposed to be your next messianic figure after Obama loses.

    • Chris

WM, you are far from ranting and very clear and concise as to the cause of what Michael is describing which are the symptoms. It would be nice if some as yet unknown leader could take the reins and lead this country back from the abyss of chaos and sin. The soul of America is sick and dying and it’s people are either actively or passively engaged in it’s demise. Where is the outrage over what appears day after day in the press about pedophile teachers and coaches, corrupt civic leaders and corporate executives, narcissitic and pampered celebrities? There was a story about a former NFL cheerleader that seduced a 17 year old boy. The readers comments were the most revealing part of the article! High-fives and lucky kid were common. God forgive us and have mercy on us.

@WM “I work with many immigrants, and they say that up until very recently, cohabitation, dating, homosexuality, womans lib, kids moving out at 18,respect for elders, young men respecting young woman, etc., etc) was unheard of, but now “The American Way” is “affecting” their culture and anything you find in America can now be found in their countries.”

I fully agree. I am from a small christian pocket in India with a 500 year old christian history. American culture principally Hollywood movies, soap ops, music etc have invaded our very conservative way of life

    • Tony

@WM Actually we are a little further along than even your gloomy description. Israel has already turned to Europe for help as they have given up on the USA. (There are many European and specifically German news articles on this but you have to search for them). There are many bible passages and prophecies that describe this “Time of the End” actions by Israel. Imagine, Israel turning to Germany now??? An amazing thought but it is happening. I have now been “Watching” intently for about 5 years now. I really do not think we have much longer before we see the beginning of Tribulation. My guess on that is 2 – 6 months! I fear we have some very difficult times ahead if we are to hang on until the “Day of the Lord”.

      • Paul

whats New about that? Israel got many submarines from Germany.

WM: “4) Demon possession in many different aspects of society.”

“…America has to fall, and lose its huge influence around the world and lose its ability to be able to give $$$$$ to other nations, in particular, Israel….”

AMEN, maybe then we will no longer start wars of aggression like we did in Iraq. And Israel can support and defend itself!

“Now instead of spreading blessings around the world, we spread cancerous sin in the form of entertainment, (pornography, violent games/movies,alternate lifestyles, liberal morality, etc)”

We are Rome. We spend too much on the military, even when we can not afford it. Our politicians are corrupt, and easily bought. And last but not least. Many of our so called elite, are just pure evil. From there, evil has spread throughout the population. That never ends well.

    • liberranter

We are Rome. We spend too much on the military, even when we can not afford it.

Worse still, “we” –especially our nation’s so-called “Christian” churches– WORSHIP the military, as if we were a nation of idolatrous pagans worshiping the Roman god Mars. This is yet another reason why all of those cries to “bless” or “have mercy on” Amerika are going to fall on God’s deaf ears. What makes anyone think that God would come to the aid of or bless a nation that has replaced Him with an idol that is anathema to everything He stands for?

      • Malcolm Reynolds

” so-called “Christian” churches– WORSHIP the military”

Please back that up with documentation.

        • liberranter

Obviously you haven’t sat through an “evangelical” Protestant Sunday service over the last five or so years. I especially recommend that you sit in on a Baptist or Assembly of God (Pentecostal) service, especially on a Sunday adjacent to or falling on a majority federal holiday, and you’ll get all the proof you need.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

I’m sorry, were you going to actually back that up with documentation or just enter your own supposition and superstition?

BTW, I’m Baptist and I do go to church. Yea, I maintain it aint nuthin but your own fantasy.

“Sadly, a list like this one could go on indefinitely.”

Agreed. Every night the local news here in the upstate of SC has stories about murder, sexual assualt, robbery, child abuse, etc. But that’s the condition of the human heart apart from the grace of God.

“For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;” (Titus 3:3-6)

What do you expect when most video games are war, shooting, and every kind of violence.

Most TV shows and Movies are about murders and how to catch them.
    o
Almost all TV and Movies have swear words even Cartoons.

They also have sex scenes ,sex talk , and sexual habits.

Most women are now almost naked , with there boobs hanging out on the Award Shows.

“All TV is reality(Literary)” Nobody works they just sing, dance , sex ,killing all fun stuff. This is what are children think life is about. Also the sexing, and the internet. Make a video getting kick in the nut’s and your a hit.

That’s what they see and what believe life is about.

We opened Pandora’s box and can’t close it.

    the end.

As a young person (22) I find it laughable for 50 year olds to complain about today’s pop culture. Back in the 50s everyone was saying that comic books were causing young boys to be violent thugs. And who can forget the controversy from “Elvis the Pelvis” and of course the “Free Love” 60s, ******* give me a break!

I consider myself a survivalist and I get plenty of good info from Christians on things like gardening, hunting, etc. but when you guys start moralizing about video games, it’s silly and stupid.

Most Christians forget one simple fact, yes it’s true that more and more young people (like me) are atheist/agnostic BUT what you guys assume is that we were raised in atheist families. That’s false, most of us were raised in the Christian church but left during our late teens because of the hypocrisy, superstition, greed and warmongering that goes on in the American church today.

Lastly, sorry Michael but putting both #18 and #23 on the list makes no sense. You have a problem with those teen girls being pregnant? So what? Do you want them to have an abortion? But 50 million kids died since Roe. v. Wade. So do you want more abortion? Or more pregnant teens? You know oral sex doesn’t lead to pregnancy but I guess that’s a problem too (#17). So is this website about serious analysis of our economic problems (which I like) or just typical nonsensical religious whining?

      • liberranter

you guys assume is that we were raised in atheist families. That’s false, most of us were raised in the Christian church but left during our late teens because of the hypocrisy, superstition, greed and warmongering that goes on in the American church today.

BINGO. Start putting Christ and the message of the Gospels back into the church and that trend will surely reverse itself.

  • Jane B

Just imagine what will happen if Romney wins. Rioting in Detroit, Atlanta etc by you know whom because they lost their poster child president. But I guess that sounds racist. I fear to be out as a white person in the streets of any large US city. Roving gangs are attacking people in Chicago’s miracle mile. How much reporting of that? Virtually none. just another day in America.

    • MvM

Caucasians should stop feeling ashamed of being perceived as “racist.” It’s getting really old.

    • Eisenkreutz

We have to make the country safe for white people again. Ban immigration. Ban welfare.

    • SuperBigHuge

Not just the big cities either. This sick, degenerative behaviour will be prevalent virtually EVERYWHERE. Des Moines, Boise, Lubbock, and your town too.

    • VegasBob

Jane, whether your viewpoint is racist or not is irrelevant. It’s the truth. If the Obummer loses to Mittens, especially in a really close election, I expect a few large American cities to burn.

I voted for the Obummer in 2008, but will not do so under any circumstances this year. Right now I’m vacillating between voting for a 3rd party candidate, or voting for Mittens. I’m not convinced that Mittens has any answers, but I don’t think this country can survive 4 more years of the Obummer.

I was born during the Truman Administration. For years I thought Jimmy Carter was the worst President in my lifetime, even worse than LBJ or Tricky Dick Nixon. But after 8 years of George W. Bush, Jimmy Carter got off the hook for the title of “worst President.” Even more amazingly, after just 4 years of the Obummer, George W. Bush no longer has to worry about being one of the worst Presidents in history either.

Without any question, the worst President in my lifetime is the Obummer.

      • liberranter

If the Obummer loses to Mittens, especially in a really close election, I expect a few large American cities to burn.

Given the state of Amerika’s cities today, I find it hard to view that possibility as a bad thing.

I was born during the Truman Administration. For years I thought Jimmy Carter was the worst President in my lifetime, even worse than LBJ or Tricky Dick Nixon. But after 8 years of George W. Notice the trend here, Bob? Each president, no matter what his party affiliation (which is meaningless nonsense anyway), has been measurably worse than his predecessor. Given this obvious and apparently inexorable fact, I say that it doesn’t matter which Establishment candidate anybody votes for in this election. Things are only going to continue to deteriorate, whether it’s Mitt Obama or Barack Romney who occupies the Paper Throne. Aside from the fact that campaign platforms, party platforms, and campaign promises are ALWAYS heavily scripted lies, the next Puppet-in-Chief has already been chosen (which of the two empty suits it is We the Mere Mundanes have no way of knowing) and he will do whatever his puppeteers command him to do or be eliminated (calling JFK for confirmation of this). And believe you me, the “bidding” of the Puppet Masters is going to be absolutely destructive to those of us who aren’t among the One Percent.

Hollywood slipping deviant behavior in even ‘wholesome’ movies. I don’t know how many moves have been made in the last few years promoting this idea of getting so wasted that you wake up not knowing where you are or how you got the X rated tattoo.

Day in and day out. People in power and bureaucrats getting away with ‘it’.

    We’re doomed.

Well, at least those that don’t prep up.

Candidates for USA’s Kakistocracy. That what that last picture conveys to me.

Here in Denver, CO – a 10 year old girl was kidnapped & murdered, but the pervert is still out there. The only fiction in the ‘Criminal Minds’ television series, (episodes on serial killers), is that the FBI’s BAU wins most the time.

After Albert Einstein’s death in 1955 at 76, his brain was removed for autopsy without the approval of his family. Einstein’s remains were cremated and his ashes were scattered at an undisclosed location.
Ah, the evil that mankind expresses even justifies itself for the good of all sometimes.

God sometimes replaces good leadership with an evil one. It’s a slow, grinding wheel of justice nonetheless, but it is His judgement over a people.
This is exampled for us in the history of Israel in the Holy bible.

    Jeremiah 4:22
“For My people are foolish, They have not known Me. They are silly children, And they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, But to do good they have no knowledge.”

    Jeremiah 32
‘For this city has been to Me a provocation of My anger and My fury from the day that they built it, even to this day; so I will remove it from before My face 32 because of all the evil of the children of Israel and the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke Me to anger—they, their kings, their princes, their priests, their prophets, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 33 And they have turned to Me the back, and not the face; though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

I think this is what’s happening to this country and others around the world.

Sin is in each one of us, in our thinking, in our emotions, in our bodies and that is why we die and expect hell,… not merely because we didn’t accept Jesus Christ. We’re all sinners, evil in His sight. We are just a piece of SIN

Mankind is not more sinful at one point in human history compared to another point in history. God restrains evil from fully manifestating itself, for His purposes. The evil examples Michael provided us in his report are nothing new. Ironically though, an increase in evil acts are distinguishable as both Gods mercy and His coming judgement,.. that is, He’s extending himself to save the elect from the four corners of the earth in these last days, then He will bring in the new age.

    John 16:33
American Standard Version (ASV), Jesus said,

These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

The moral of the story is..,
We can not save ourselves from His condemnation.
The only thing any of us can do is to cry for mercy.

If you have been a recipient of God’s mercy in Christ Jesus then all things will work out together for good, for those who love God.

In Matthew 7:11 Jesus said to his followers,
‘If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!’

    Let us pray.
    Let us prep.
    Let us sing.

God the creator became a God man
His death redeemed us for His glorious plan
Now in resurrection the Spirit’s released
Producing the Church, this is God’s masterpiece

Jesus Lord, I’m captured by thy beauty
All my heart to thee I open wide
Now set free from all religious duty
Only let me in thyself abide

Lord when first I saw thee in thy splendor
All self love and glory sank in shame
Now my heart with open praises render
Tasting all the sweetness of thy name.

    AMEN

You silly little doltish social conservatives–you are so getting used by the rich. How can you be so stupid and still remember to breath?

    • davidmpark

I’ve got a better idea. How about making welfare programs for the severely disabled that actually HELP those in dire need and don’t just benefit bureaucrats.

You and I argued months ago about this exact thing and I said that my wife is severely disabled and we don’t qualify for many of those programs cause they were made to accept very few if any people. While providing the bulk of their funds to pay their unionized staff very high compensation packages. The idea that tax breaks for billionaires depriving us is ludicrous bull plop – it’s those in Congress that create these disability programs and bureaucrats who administer them that’s the specific problem. Billionaire tax breaks don’t enter this equation!

You want to blame “scumbag conservatives” and billionaire TAX BREAKS for this? Tax breaks?

    • Malcolm Reynolds

“What kind of moral outlook throws children, poor children, off of health insurance in order to give tax breaks to billionaires?”

You claim it, now cite which program was cut Gary.
Where has ANYTHING been cut? Arent you the same dolt that endlessly (and correctly) points out that republicans spent like drunken sailors when they were in charge?

You libtards just looooove to lie about conservatives cutting ANYTHING. Reduce the rate of growth of something and you clowns squeal like stuck pigs about starving children and murdering gramma.

And BTW, I would absolutely abolish ALL those programs at the federal level. It’s not the purpose of govt in the first place.

Let me put this as simply as I can, in the event that a low information voter stumbled in here……..

The American middle-class is being handed to the billions of Chinese, Indians, Indonesians, Malaysians etc.

Bishop Romney and his 1% pals decided they didn’t want to pay Americans for their efforts and time and when even the unprecedented attacks on Unions didn’t keep enough shekels in their pockets they decided to move factories to places where they can enslave and pollute.

You see, if they can replace 300 + million proud Americans with billions of servile worker ants they will have a sort-of middle-class and more consumers for their junk.

The factories and jobs aren’t coming back. We have a better chance taxing the 1%.

If you vote for Bishop Romney this country is finished.

    • Malcolm Reynolds

Social decay is a naturally occurring cyclical event. This trend will continue until there is a “catastrophic” event and then the survivors will adopt actions and attitudes that are more conducive for survival. The bigger picture is that there are a total of five naturally occurring (cyclical) events that are reaching their lowest (or most damaging) point. This is referred to as the “Louis Feinberg theory of macro-cyclical activity”. The other cyclical events are #1..Economic, #2..Geologic, #3..Weather, #4..Social and #5..Solar. During the Great Depression of the 30’s and 40’s, there were two cycles that were at their lowest point, #1..Economic and #2..Weather. This time there are five cycles and no option of a limited war (WW2) to turn events around. We are headed for catastrophe and there is nothing that we can do but prepare and try to hold on until the sun is shining again. Remember, the future belongs to the prepared.

God’s hand is extended but never forced on mankind. We, through the power of free will may either reach out and hold God’s hand or we, as a nation keep our hands at our side to fend for ourselves. Without God’s Grace and protection, we see in just 43 years the death and destruction od a nation that has occurred since [08+15+1969 when we, as a nation embraced the evil of the woodstock concert]and began our rapid movement away from God. All the evil that is pervading the world is a result of the Beacon for Goodness, the U.S.A. becoming a secular nation and rejecting God, our Father. In 1973, when our Supremely evil court fabricated a right to murder babies has now led to 50 million of GOD’S babies being murdered. That is one thousand/50,000 seat stadiums worth of abortions. WOW ! Shame on you who knew better [especially you “catholic” religious] and voted in support of this atrocity for so long. I don’t want to hear your b.s. argument that you have never had an abortion so it is o.k. for others. I don’t want to hear your pathetic argument that abortion is one issue among many. It is our moral duty to stand up for the ultimate of the defenseless, the unborn. It is a miracle God has been this patient for this long. Man alone cannot reverse the evil we face and the tsunami of debt that is spiraling out of control as per the “USDebtclock.org”. UNTIL WE REVERSE THE MORAL DECAY, we have NO CHANCE of reversing the financial decay. It starts with massive prayers to God our Father, massive acts of reparation, massive good deeds to the least of our brethren and a vote for Romney. That gives a CHANCE and only a FAINT CHANCE of reversing the grave evil that is consuming us. Christi Fidelis !

None? then you lack the moral authority to opine on this subject

  • RainyDay

One thing to add to that list is all the depraved sexual behaviors of the elite. The wild orgies the former head of the IMF, Dominique Stauss-Kahn, should really make you sick to your stomach.

  • Bill M

“According to shocking new research by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately two-thirds of all Americans in the 15 to 24 year old age bracket have engaged in oral sex.”

So how old does a person have to be before deciding to be on either end of oral sex?

If twenty-one is “shocking”, then twenty-four must me, what?

  • Paul

In Africa, child soldiers of 15 years old are the most ruthless killers.
In the UK, 16 year olds can join the army and go to Afghanistan. When they return with a foot blown off, society has to pay them benefits for their whole life.

    How sick is that?

    “Time” – Sir Laurence Olivier

The slightly older generation may remember this (1986). It is taken from the musical “Time”. Absolutely astounding (spoken) words, to music. See links below. Please tune in, many are totally taken aback. Enjoy!

Stand before me, on the sign of infinity.. all you of the earth. With the granting of the law of probenation, comes the application of change. I will give you the key. And with this knowledge, please realise, comes the responsibility.. of sharing it. I will show you the way. It’s very simple.

Throughout the universe, there is.. order. In the movement of the planets, in nature, and in the functioning of the human mind. A mind, that is in its natural state of order, is in harmony with the universe, and such a mind, is.. timeless. Your life.. is an expression of your mind.

You are the creator of your own Universe, for as a human being, you are free to will.. whatever state of being you desire, through the use.. of your thoughts, and words. Ah.. there is.. great power.. there. It can be a blessing, or a curse.. it’s entirely up to you. For the quality of your life is brought about by the quality of your thinking. Think.. about that.

Thoughts produce actions. Look at what you are thinking. See the pettiness and the envy and the greed and the fear and all the other attitudes that cause you pain.. and discomfort. Realise, that the one thing you have absolute control over.. is your attitude. See the effect that it has on those around you.. for each life is linked.. to all life, and your words carry with them.. chain reactions, like a stone that is thrown into a pond. If your thinking.. is in order, your words will flow directly from the heart, creating ripples.. of love.

If you truly want to change your world my friends.. you must.. change your thinking. Reason, is your greatest tool. It creates an atmosphere of understanding.. which leads to caring, which is.. love. Choose your words.. with care. Go forth.. with love.

What’s so shocking about adults having sex? If you consider 18-24 year olds as adult.

And when you can put 15 year olds into jail, where they most likely will be raped, why is consenting oral sex so shocking?

  • mark

#9 adds up to a small hive of bees. I do not think that a hive of bees rates as the end of our country. The rest of the article supports your idea.

  • Paul

Her husband is out of state and the students were adults 18 years and older.

The sick part is, that she faces 20 years in jail for consenting sex.

Many problems in the USA arise from that sick puritane relationship to the human body. Like kindergarten children getting arrested for playing doctor, or people having to be properly dressed in the sauna. (having a proper shower cleaning all parts of the body before would be more important)

How about prescribing the anti-baby pill free of charge and teaching teenagers how to use condoms?

    Easy, cheap and painless solution.

Don’t want that for religious reasons? Well, then live with the consequences.

    • SD

Here’s another cheap. easy solution. Don’t have sex until your married. Don’t like it, then live with the consequences.
You assume humans are on par with animals who have no control over themselves. Then again, you believe you are “evolved” from apes. Typical atheist darwinian heading to the eternal lake of fire. Suxs to be you.

      • Paul

Oh come on. How realistic is that? You could also expect everyone to finish school with an A+, having no truancy and no backtalking, etc. Etc.

Well, at least I am evolved from apes, while you have this still in the future.

      • Gay Veteran

Wow! If Romney gets in, there is going to be rioting in inner cities? You are right. If the first black president doesn’t get re-elected, they will all throw temper tantrums and start burning and rioting.

    • SD

Well ya, these are the same people who “rap” nursery rhymes that pass as modern music. We’re not talking about intellectual’s here.
Burning down your own urban areas with the current economic realities is not the smartest thing to do, since there is little $ to rebuild. But who said obama voters were bright anyways.

true story. my neighbor is vandalizing my property and doing evil acts. a man and wife in their sixties is renting to their daughter and son in law. I have called the police and they have arrived three separate times to tell me if there is no evidence and you didn’t see them , or your cameras don’t catch them it falls under he said, you said, and no one is arrested. I even saw the old man one time throwing something into my yard one night. the daughter and son in law are also vandalizing and helping when the old father is away. Nothing I can do. Police are not there to help, just arrest after something very bad has happens. many two or three family homes now a days to afford the mortgage. six cars out in front. this economy will destroy good neighborhoods as well. well armed but they don’t know it.

    • TtT Engine

Your property complaint is a cost to the municipal taxing kingdom. Shooting radar and pulling cars over for MOSTLY non-sensical traffic offenses is a taxing revenue stream, therefore much more attractive. These neighborhood police need a strong reminder that their over paid salaries with monster unfunded benefit and pension plans are paid by your taxes. Yes, evidence of a crime is necessary. A concerned police could atleast knock on the degenerate vandal’s door and remind them they are being accused of a crime and will be watched. An unmarked detective car could periodically watch the vandals to attempt to catch them in the act of the crime. This would require getting off their cell phones, turning off the radar guns and the pornography. Christi Fidelis !

  • Richard

Not that I necessarily disagree with you… but taking a population of 310,000,000 people and singling out several extreme examples of outlandish behavior doesn’t automatically condemn the entire country. Does it? If it does, you don’t explain why you think this is the case and I’d be really interested in knowing why you think so.

Here in China the lowball estimate was 23 million abortions–just last year. When I first came here 10 years ago, people seemed nice, now they seem vicious, filled with venom, and there’s a whole lot that’s not reported in the news here–serial killings, wife beatings, teacher stabings of students, extremely high rates of suicide, and economic killings like when food producers replace genuine ingredients for what amouts to cheap poison. With 25% the number of cars as in N. America, the WHO estimates there are at least 280,000 traffic deaths per year…and I’m certain that many of those are not accidents. Still, it’s a more civil place to live than the US…definitely…the USA has become a hell-hole that’s not worth living in. China is following rapidly, and now I don’t think there’s anywhere that’s normal, anywhere that’s peaceful, sane or secure. It’s the whole world, we can run, but we can’t hide.

American TV series and movies are seen in every country in the world. That is not the problem. In my opinion you are too obsessed with religion and sex. This generates a rebound effect in the form of sick and frustrated people.

For example, #17, approximately two-thirds of all Americans in the 15 to 24 year old age bracket have engaged in oral sex. So what?

Don’t be so worried about sex, God and Jesus. The important thing is that people is happy, and not psychotic and frustrated. You should do like the countries more happiest in the world: less religion (or none at all), less guns (or none at all) and a free relationship with sex and nudity, the limit being only self respect and respect for others. I know you wont agree, I say this with a lot of respect and friendship with Americans, don’t be too angry with me.

    • Tim

Your mentality is exactly what is wrong with this nation.

“For example, #17, approximately two-thirds of all Americans in the 15 to 24 year old age bracket have engaged in oral sex. So what?”

It’s unnatural, not to mention unclean.

“Don’t be so worried about sex, God and Jesus.”

Very soon you will stand before Jesus Christ and be judged for your deeds. That doesn’t worry you? It ought to.

      • Paul

no tim, its your mentality that is so different from reasonable people. You are very much like the Taliban.

Jesus wouldn’t judge me. Remember the 2×4 in your eye?

      • My Generation

I am a Christian, conservative at that, but there is nothing wrong with oral sex between a man and a wife. Honestly, if more men were pleased by their wives then a lot of things would be better ithis world.

Please dont speak for all Christians. You dont get to deem what is good or bad in marriage.

    • Malcolm Reynolds

    Michael,
I’m starting to not like the direction your commentary is going on this website. Pick any era of social unrest in the history of any nation, and you’ll find plenty of examples of bad behavior. As shocking as many of your “signs” are, we’ve seen all of this before, and we will see it again.

Instead, why not focus on the positive things people are trying to do to change the status quo? There are people out there, (myself included), who are returning to America’s farmlands to form intentional communities with family and friends where we will be practicing sustainable agriculture for our own consumption and building new home-grown businesses. Why not encourage your readers to use Community Exchange systems in order to get away from using fiat currency?

The corporate-run mainstream media wants you to be afraid. They want you to abandon all of your common sense so that you’ll accept a state-run solution for the sake of safety and security. They want you to support the continued rape and destruction of the planet in order to feed their profit machines.

    Don’t fall into their trap!

I consider that there is a science to evil … the “negative electron ions” support the neuron track of evil consciousness or the evil Id of a conscious Being …

And a state of mind having toyed with and practice negative thoughts, and negative deeds MORE than Positive thoughts and Positive deeds .. their negative “evil Id selves” is that which will in process totally possess the physical body …

Positive or negative … good or evil … one Id or the other, will rule the physical host during these ending days …

We are in the days of choosing which “Id” we want to be in the end process …

Our physical selves may in someway be what we eat and drink … but our energy and conscious selves are indeed what we think and do …

  • Pastor Glenn

    Romans 1:18-32

18 For God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth, 19 since what can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse. 21 For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man, birds, four-footed animals, and reptiles.
24 Therefore God delivered them over in the cravings of their hearts to sexual impurity, so that their bodies were degraded among themselves. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served something created instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.

26 This is why God delivered them over to degrading passions. For even their females exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 The males in the same way also left natural relations with females and were inflamed in their lust for one another. Males committed shameless acts with males and received in their own persons the appropriate penalty of their error.

28 And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong. 29 They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, arrogant, proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful. 32 Although they know full well God’s just sentence—that those who practice such things deserve to die—they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them.

What is the meaning of this scripture? It shows the normal aspects of humanity without the saving Grace of Christ, given to humanity by means of the Counselor (Holy Spirit) and manifested through Faith. Jesus Christ saves His own by grace, through faith.

What we see in the Untied Status of Amerika is nothing more than what has occurred time after time after time when a nation (i.e. a group or a large community) has had the majority walk away from God.

Do we Christians despair over this?

    Luke 21:25-28. Christ’s own words.

Then there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and there wil be anguish on the earth among nations bewildered by the roaring sea and waves. 26 People will faint from fear and expectation of the things that are coming on the world, because the celestial powers will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 But when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near!

Note verse 28. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads (this is for His people – Christians), because what? Your redemption is near.

Those not saved are going insane from evil on the earth, because the one who is most evil (and he exists) knows his time is very short – and he is ‘stirring up trouble’ – trying to prevent as many people as possible from coming to Christ.

We’re simply seeing the evidence of this every day. So stand firm in your faith, fellow children of Christ.

And what is the overall meaning of the book of Revelation? Very simply put – God is clearly telling us that He is in total control; He will see to it that His people are taken care of; He will see that final justice is and must be done; and we should therefore trust Him. It’s going to be all right, AFTER the end of time – in eternity.

    Revelation 21:3:4:

Then I heard a loud voice from the throne; Look! God’s dwelling is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people and God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will exist no longer; grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer, because the previous things have passed away.

    Pastor Glenn

Similar here in Canada but in Canada I can not legally protect myself with a gun. If I defend myself here I will end up in more trouble than the crimnal!!!!
We can own guns but it takes months of checks and you are made to feel like a crimnal by our police. Hand guns are very hard to get as you have to belong to gun club and you can not use them anywhere but at the gun club. So they make it very difficult to own. You also have to have a licence own guns or ammunition and the cops make you feel like crimnal for applying for the licence.
We have a very liberal system here and everybody has rights except the lawfull citizen!!

    • Paul

you can move to Detroit, if you don’t like Canada.

1 Samuel 8: 10-20 (NLT)10 Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. 11 He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle[c] and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”

19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.”

Live in obedience to God through the power of the spirit then go and convince others to do the same. Then when Christ returns both you and those you convert will be fine for all eternity. OR……NOT……..its your choice.

  • Pastor Glenn

Mondo, Amerika is no more the great satan than any other nation. To think that we are the worst of the worst is actually a form of pridefulness! God warns against that. The Islamists are equally evil because their actual true leader is – who? You know.

But, you might ask, what about a house divided against itself not surviving? True. But Satan does not care about humans – he hates us, wishes us ill and desires that we join he and his fallen angels (known as demons) in the place of eternal abscence from God’s presence, after final justice is meted out by an almighty God – who has been very patient with humanity – but whose patience is ending soon.

You see, hell was never intended for man; but given the fact that Adam and Eve wished to place themselves equal or higher than God by disobedience, destroying God’s intent for mankind and forcing Him to use the plans he had in place when this occurred. As outlined in the gospel.

    Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10

    • Mondobeyondo

True. Pride works in both directions, good and bad. It’s no different to say “We’re the worst!” as it is to say “We’re the best!” Took me a while to think about that, but it’s true.

Actually, it’s Satan who wanted to be placed above God in worship. That’s why he was thrown out of Heaven by God, along with a third of his followers. God consigned them all to hell, which is in the center of the earth. Mankind got involved when Satan convinced Eve to eat that tomato from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The rest, as they say, is history.

I won’t get too deep into this, as this is not a religious site. Just spouting my 49 cents worth. (inflation, you know…)

      • Mondobeyondo

The Bible never actually says what the fruit was from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Tradition says it was an apple. But we don’t know for certain.

    Michael,

What you’re writing about is the erosion social and human capital, just as basic as financial capital to economic stability, growth and prosperity. You’re right: They’re all eroding.

There’s a dimension of this you should’ve mentioned at the end of your article: Not only are we no longer the greatest nation as far as the issues you’ve mentioned here and elsewhere. The American Dream is more possible abroad than it is in the US.

Many European and other foreign countries increasingly enjoy more social-class and income mobility than we do – in other words, more and more countries offer the upward mobility that we like to think is unique to America. It’s increasingly the case that other countries offer the income mobility than America no longer does:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/05/us/harder-for-americans-to-rise-from-lower-rungs.html

    http://www.europeaninstitute.org/EA-February-2012/by-garret-martin-editor-at-large-european-affairs.html

When you combine that with what you’ve written, beyond a great constitutional legacy that we’ve turned our backs on as a country, just what is it that any longer makes America special in the way so many of us were brought up to believe it is?

Unlike other countries, Americans are not bound by race, religion or ethnicity. We’re bound (at least we were) by ideas, by constitutional principles, belief in upward mobility and long-term prosperity.

Well, what happens when a country whose very identity is based on ideas of being “special”, “lawful,” “unique” and “upwardly mobile” and “prosperous” is no longer any of those things?

What’s left? What is this country but a bunch of warring special interest factions in a zero-sum game over big government goodies. The whole thing falls apart.

I think one big reason the TV show the “Walking Dead” is popular because it because it serves as a powerful metaphor for something beyond zombies.

    It’s what we’re seeing now.

    G*d save America.

    • Randome-11

“Unlike other countries, Americans are not bound by race, religion or ethnicity. ”

False, at least until recently. The more there is “diversity” and “multiculturalism”, the more shitty things becomes.

Why no mention of the huge number of occurrences throughout the country of violent black mobs attacking white people? I guess this doesn’t fit into your worn out narrative that black people don’t commit racially motivated crimes.

Zombie Apocalypse coming, prepare! All this Zombie stuff you see. I got a catalog the other day selling all kinds of Zombie stuff, Zombie ammo, Zombie ammo cans, Zombie guns, Zombie, Zombie, Zombie everything. I think they are preping us to kill hungry starving Americans roaming the country side looking for food. (who just happin to look a little rough from starving slowely to death)(Some say “KILL EM ALL, LET GOD SORT THEM OUT”) What do you do, you can’t feed them all? You don’t even know if you have enough food to feed yourself and your immediate family! What DO YOU DO? Knowing full well IF you give any food away you just might be condemning yourself and your family to the same fate??? IF you want to survive I guess YOU better prepare! TIME IS SHORT!
HELL IS COMING WITH A VENGEANCE!
God is mad at us for turning our back on him, so he is turning his back on us.
Satan is mad at us as he has so much work to do and his time on earth is limited, so he’s pissed at us for slowing things down.
People on earth are just mad as things are not like they use to be, jobs are gone, living standard is way down, drugs are more expensive and not as good as they use to be, money is tighter these days.
Every body is mad and we are just in the way.
There will be Hell to pay -and- we will pay for it!

I choose to stay on the positive, and i see wondrous and beautiful things and such good willed natured in most people. I see friendliness and stewardship and working together to make the future bright. I see human ingenuity and new ideas and progressive thinking that is going to bring our nation into a new era.

I see all of this, because unlike many on this site, i choose to believe that Christ dwells in all of us. He left a piece of himself in all of us. We may be going through tough times, but that is the test. CAN YOU STILL EMBRACE THOSE WHO DO WRONG AS YOURSELF OR AS A REFLECTION OF THE CHRIST NATURE? OR WILL YOU CHOOSE TO DEMONIZE YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS AS DEMONS AND LIVE IN FEAR?

If you are choosing fear, racism, and hatred, then you have already failed and have already accepted the beast 666. Good luck with that.

    • RainyDay

Actually you’re very wrong. You are also in denial if you don’t recognize what is going on all around. Read Revelation and you will find that God will indeed punish the world for not turning from evil ways and repenting to him. Many on here are followers if Christ but they are realists…not froo froo la de dah the sky is full of rainbows today types. If you call yourself a Christian then you need to be opposed to the evil going on in this society…you’re living in lala land if you are pleased with what you look around and see, or when you flip on the tv. Pure filth is what surrounds society. Yes, there are pockets of goodness and acts of kindness but they are overshadowed by what Michael has mentioned above. C’mon man, kids are chopping up their grandparents and parents! This is no utopia. You sound like a new age “christian”? Oh and you also might want to study what the mark of the beast is.

      • Ian

No. You are actually wrong. I have studied the bible and i know what is happening. But the bible also tells us to “not to be of this world”

Jesus Christ did not focus on negativity all around him and instead went about his merry way preaching joy and love and light.

He wants us to follow him and to be like him. By falling for fear, you are giving into the instinctual drive to preserve what is yours and what has been, rather than focusing on the kingdom of god within. If you continue to fall for self preservation. then when SHTF you will beg to have the mark of the beast, because you will not have been working this whole time to surrender to the good will of the christ consciousness of love and brotherhood.

    • phelps

It is possible to be both an idealist and realist. Yes, there are good people on this earth and after the SHTF we will work hard to rebuild. However, we are not going to bury our heads in the sand and say all is right in the world when we see the decay before our very eyes. Fear can be a good thing. It prevents us from doing stupid things, which can harm us. Many kids I grew-up with had a fear of doing drugs and didn’t become addicts like the ones who had no fear of drugs.

Electricity is a wonderous thing, but it takes both a positive and negative current to prevent over load leading to an explosion.

Think of the guy in Seinfeld who told Jerry….”Serenity now, but insanity later”.

      Good day.

    • Chris

I think the coming society born out of ‘progressive’ thinking taking the country into a new era that you refer to could easily be interpreted as the kingdom of the Antichrist.

By choosing to focus on the positive all the time you ignore all the problems. Very convenient. Take the rose tinted specs off.

      • Ian

that’s where you are wrong. When christ returns, he will want those who are hopeful and joyful, not those who are cowering in their homes surrounded by high powered weaponry and hating their fellow man and living in fear. Complete oposite of the Christlike behavior we are supposed to inhabit when he does return.

        think about it.

    • JOHN BECKER

if you stick your head in the sand like an ostrich, you won’t know who kicked you in the ass when it comes. i don’t live in a pollyanna world, don’t drive your car without a spare tire ………..otherwise your sunny attitude will catch you in a bind while someone mugs you at nite when you’re changing it. GOOD COMMON SENSE WINS OUT EVERYTIME. jesus said be wise as a serpent. NOT A STUPID MILLENIUM WAITING CHRISTIAN WITH A MONGOLOID SMILE ON YOUR FACE. JESUS SAID FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD.

  • Chris

    To the Author:

What do you expect if we don’t keep His Commandments, Statutes and Judgments as instructed in the Holy Scriptures ?

As a nation, we haven’t just turned our back on The Great I Am that became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1), we’ve been giving Him the finger! And for a long time ! This didn’t start yesterday. In fact, you can trace the “birth of this baby” to 1787, when it looked so “cute and cuddly”.

As this nation grew, it remained quite attractive and “comely to look upon”, but the seed had been planted. It’s just that we’re now seeing the culmination of the evil deterioration over time, which intensifies at the last stages. It’s a bit like discovering the “Portrait of Dorian Grey” in the locked upper room and then realizing, hey, this is us!

Now go and read Leviticus 26 & Deuteronomy 28 and see if that doesn’t describe what’s happening to us – His people, today.

You’re right about even if the various problems are fixed, the underlying problem is the people. So let’s take that a step further see the real problem:

A god was put in place of The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob called “We The People”, which took the power of law making upon themselves via the state & federal constitutions through their respective legislatures. That power belongs to God Himself – and to Him alone. In The Scriptures at numerous places, He said His Law is perfect and “Thou shalt not add or subtract therefrom.”

The very nature of a “god” requires that a “god” be “worshiped” via obedience to that “god’s” laws by its devotees. Thus, that “god” must possess the power to make laws expressing the manor in which it is to be served or “worshiped”.

The state and federal governments possess that very power as described in their respective constitutions, which were granted to them by “We The People”.

Does that not, therefore, make “gods” of the states and federal governments, and ultimately, “We The People” ? After all, they “created them, didn’t they ? Another power of a “god”, i.e., “creation” ?

Solution: Return “We The People” to their proper place and then to Him and His Perfect Moral Law. His Law and Judgments have the remedy for all the problems you listed in your article, as well as those you didn’t.

    • Chestertonian

Chris, I agree that we as a nation made a god of our special nation, which became a secular religion. Yes, Christian faith means putting ALL things under Our Lord’s dominion, including laws and government.

      • liberranter

Indeed. Now, if someone will only remind certain churches of this…

        • Chris

          liberranter,

Those “Churches can’t do anything their “god’ the state won’t allow them to as the vast majority are incorporated, which means they went to their “god” and were “created” thereby.

If they try to do anything against their “god”, they’ll loose their tax exempt status under 501 c 3. This means they are NOT true Churches or The “Body” of Christ.

Here’s a hard fact for most to accept: The modern day “Churches” are not there to get you into the Kingdom Of Christ. They’re there to keep you out.

This article seems far from the usually and lacks facts and evidence. All you’ve pointed to is one thing and said their are a lot more of it but really are zombie attacks on the rise is pcp destroying America, not really it doesn’t seem like that happens a lot at all. Is it really so bad that two thirds of people from 15-24 have had oral sex, as far as I’m concerned at 18 your an adult so the only stat there that might matter is 15-17. Also I work with kids from all over from poor to rich troubled to normal and while my evidence is as anecdotal as yours I don’t see the kids today being worse than when I was a kid or even when my parents were kids. It seems like you have a solution but are trying to find a problem. Please remember that although governments rise and fall humanity Is continually moving forward.

    • Chestertonian

Whether you like it or not, Mike, there are two good reasons to oppose teens having oral sex and promiscuity in general. First, self-discipline in sexual desire is necessary for social cohesion. Rome became great when there were strict personal morals; it fell when orgies became common and public. Second, if one believes in God, then one must obey His moral laws. Social collapse follows from inability it control our passions.

      • cp

Rather than worry about your next door neighbor screwing his sheep, it maybe better for you to focus on how the banks are screwing you. In the real world, Rome didn’t collapse because of teenage blow jobs. Grow up and worry about your own genitalia.

Literally you can blame liberal ideology for many of societies problems.
    1. No child left behind and other DOE programs.
    2. Removing God from society. God got booed at the DNC.
    3. Drug policy – Liberal activists who fight to legalize gateway drugs like Marijuana.
    4. Illegal immigration policy – I believe in California over 65% of all criminals incarcerated for violent crimes are illegal.
    5. Do what feels good thinking.
    6. Policy to let Islam believers do what they want in the US according to their Sharia law. Honor killings and the like.
    7. One of the biggest liberal failures is increasing the welfare state (Making people reliant on the government). People are so used to getting everything for free they have no desire to work for anything.

    • Ian

so you assume throwing people in prison for a plant which grows and has many health benefits and has never killed anyone and industrial benefits is moral.

      Are you nuts?

the first page of the Holy Bible states marijuana is for usage. ” and i give to you EVERY HERB BEARING SEED”

Marijuana is an herb bearing seed, numbnuts!!!

      • Mondobeyondo

So is marjoram. But I don’t know if it can get you high or not. Maybe I should try some. I might be able to fly higher than that Felix Baumgartner guy. (Don’t think I’d want to jump though!!)

        • Paul

          should get marjoram into burgers.

      • Wally Gator

I can offer just as many opposing arguments to your many health benefits claim and all by legitimate medical authorities. You are assuming marijuana has never killed anyone? I’ll tell you right now a co-worker high on pot drove her car the wrong way and had a head on collision that killed her and the other driver. Toxicology reports confirmed this.

Marijuana can be a gateway drug to harder drugs which can cause people to go crazy and do stupid things like Michael mentions in his article.

Marijuana has changed a lot since the 70’s and 80’s. The drug is much more potent and thus in my opinion more harmful. Many studies have been done that show Marijuana weakens the immune system. Marijuana is indeed addictive and can cause many of the same respiratory and other health problems that cigarettes cause and I don’t want to pay for your medical costs for something you choose to do especially if what you choose to do is illegal.

        • Malcolm Reynolds

“I’ll tell you right now a co-worker high on pot drove her car the wrong way and had a head on collision that killed her and the other driver. Toxicology reports confirmed this.

So what killed her by your own admission wasn’t the pot. It was her own stupidity for driving impaired and then that final *bump*.

I’m as conservative as they come and that pot kills, gateway drug stuff is utter bovine excrement. We proved prohibition doesn’t work.

          “Marijuana is indeed addictive ”

Yea, not so much. Withdrawal symtoms would be indicative of addiction so please cite the withdrawals. Irritability? Yea, so menstruation is an addiction.

“can cause many of the same respiratory and other health problems ”

So when you eat it, those same health concerns arise? nope. Putting anything other than air in your lungs can be harmful. Should we outlaw water?

Drugs wars are police state republicans at their best.

          • Gay Veteran

wow, actually have to agree with you on our neo-prohibition

        • Paul

alcohol and nicotine are entry and exit drugs and they are legal.

        • InTheMiddle

First, Marijuana today has a higher THC content than breeds of the past. It is no different than smoking more then, then you do now to get the same effect.

Additionally, Driving while intoxicated, drunk, sleepy, medicated, distracted, and/or angry has proven to be fatal. You cannot blame any one source for improper driving. A drunk driver puts him/herself in the same danger as someone who hasn’t gotten 7-8 hours of quality sleep. Should we mandate bedtimes in addition to keeping pot illegal? BTW, adults can go buy booze at their corner store for cheap.

Finally, marijuana can be administered without smoking it which eliminates your claim of respiratory problems. Besides, who is anyone here to judge what another person does to their own body? Isn’t God the only judge of humanity?

        • Ian

umm ….your friend killed herself by driving on pot, pot did not kill her.

Do some research and provide me a link to one site showing me where marijuana has killed someone. And i am not talking about people doing dumb things while high.

i will be waiting forever, because you wont be able to find it.

      • madmizz

        @Ian
The bible also teaches we are to be of sober mind. I came out of drug addiction and yes marijuana was the first drug I tried. If we legalize more and more drugs you will see more problems. The one story the guy killed two kids, he was smoking laced marijuana. I don’t know what religion you believe in but, I don’t think Christ would agree to legalize drugs and suppport those who ciontinue to abuse them. At every turn Jesus healed them and said, “go and sin no more”. He didn’t advocate making the sin socially acceptable.

        • Malcolm Reynolds

“The bible also teaches we are to be of sober mind. ”

And Christ turned water into wine and drank it Himself. The Bible also teaches about MODERATION.

Your reaction to pot was just that, YOUR reaction. That wasn’t mine nor that of anyone I know that smokes it. And because you went overboard with it doesnt mean it needs to be outlawed.

          See prohibition. f.a.i.l.u.r.e

        • Ian

Where exactly in the bible does it say ” thou shall not smoke weed” ???

I will have you know, many religions around the world, including Rastafarians, smoke marijuana to put themselves in a holy state of mind.

    • SD

Marijuana is a gateway drug? LOL! You are living in the 70’s my man, come on in to the 21st century with the rest of us.

    • OLdFART

There is no evidence that pot is a “gateway” drug. Millions of Americans have smoked pot and never went on to “hard drugs”. No, I’m not a pot smoker.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

I was a HEAVY user at one time and never once went to anything else.

      • Wally Gator

You are assuming that millions have smoked pot and never went to anything harder. There is no way you could prove that. If you believe your statement then you believe Clinton’s statement about smoking Marijuana but not inhaling. Since the 70’s weed has increasingly gotten more potent…Why? A better high because just smoking pot wasn’t doing it for people anymore and thus making it a better high would again make it more attractive. A recent Yale research study concluded that Marijuana use had a direct correlation with prescription opiate pain killer drug addiction.

        • Ian

      2. Removing God from society. God got booed at the DNC.

To be perfectly fair, God –or, more accurately, His Son– got negative reviews from Republicans, many of them no doubt self-described “born-again Christians,” during the first round of presidential debates. Remember when Ron Paul brought up the subject of America’s bellicose and invasive foreign policy and urged the crowd to remember “the Prince of Peace” and was drowned out by a chorus of boos?

    • Stephanie

      1. I’ll remind you that no child left behind was a Bush program, which while well intentioned, failed horribly because of a focus on test scores rather than real learning. Instead of hiring enough teachers, the focus shifted to firing “bad” ones based on test scores, and to rote memorization to pass the tests rather than critical thinking.
      2. Christianity isn’t the only source of morality. I’ve seen atheists with a stronger moral fiber than most of those who profess to be Christians. Atheists have noone to forgive them except those they have wronged, and noone that can absolve them of sins. Other faiths than Christianity also have strong moral codes. Jews and Muslims still worship the same God as Christians, and have similar religious teachings on such subjects as murder, theft, adultery, and even usury (did you know that the charging of INTEREST is a grave sin to all 3 Abrahamic traditions?). Buddhism has it’s precepts, which are an even stronger moral code than Christianity given the focus on self-purification. Neopagans generally follow some close variation of the wiccan rede “An thee harm none, do as thou will”. In any case. morality can’t be attributed only to Christianity, so it’s not an excuse for the behavior of people in modern times.
      3. This is laughable bullshit that’s been used to justify war on the american people in the form of a “war on drugs”. If Marijuana is a gateway drug, it’s only that because of the association with a criminal underground necessary to obtain it. Similar can be said for Alcohol during prohibition, and alcohol is more addictive and more harmful to health and society. If someone moves on to harder drugs, they would have done so with or without pot. The “drug war” has been a huge failure – we have people in jail for pot serving longer terms than someone would for rape or murder. That’s inexcusable, given the cost to the taxpayer of incarceration, and given the rate of incarceration in this country.
      4. Immigration policy in general is a failure. If you honestly want to solve the problem of illegal immigration, you need to take two major steps. First, jail ANYONE that provides employment without proper documentation and tax filings and liquidate their assets into the state unemployment fund. Second, reform the LEGAL immigration and guest worker policies so that they are reasonable, based on objective standards, and not subject to arbitrary limits or “lottery” processes – that is, make it possible for anyone that’s willing to put in the hard work to be able to come here will be able to do so. (For what it’s worth, every person of European or African descent in this country is descended from illegal immigrants, so by your arguments, we should all be deported.)
      5. I see apathy as more of a problem.
      6. Freedom of religion does not, and as far as I can tell has not allowed anyone to get away with murder.
      7. Socialism takes several forms. One, that we all know very well and have been indoctrinated to fear is that of the communist state such as the former USSR, Cuba, or North Korea. This never ends well, and we would be right to fear it, because “pure” socialism can only be accomplished through an authoritarian state, and the lust for power corrupts all those who would govern such a state. The form that people are less familiar with, even though virtually every modern free state practices it, is that of a mixed economy, where socialism forms the conscience and backbone of a predominantly capitalist system. Without this form of socialism. all wealth would be extracted and migrate to the top, and those at the bottom would be at best slaves. All of our infrastructure in the US is dependent on this form of socialism – our highways, water, power, trash collection, railroads, police force, all of these things are SOCIALIST institutions. Welfare programs, when well implemented only make the people who are totally unable to work dependent on the state – the sick, disabled and elderly, while serving as a hand up for those not able to work, or not able to make enough from working. The reason they don’t work is partly because in the US, they are a hodgepodge of programs, and partly because the fear of the other socialism, that which is more commonly known as Stalinist communism has led to attacks on such programs. Rather than having graduated programs that let someone ease back into the workforce, we have sharp cutoffs, holes, and rough edges. Not only does this encourage dependence on the state, but it also doesn’t do a particularly good job of serving the people who actually NEED a safety net. I personally would rather see a return to FDR-era programs such as the CCC and WPA and guaranteed employment than the current system, but I’d be happy to see a system that’s designed from the ground up to lift people back up and into the workforce – that means no sharp cut in benefits just for crossing a particular income threshold, assistance with childcare for single mothers, assistance with getting to work and looking for work, and benefits that fall off gradually as they are no longer needed and serve as supplements for those only able to find enough work to meet some of their needs. A person should NEVER be better off on benefits than they would be working, but that’s exactly what the case is now for many programs – within a month or so of getting a job, you no longer have heathcare, foodstamps, etc, even though that job you just got may not be enough to meet your needs. Why would someone choose to work when doing so actually makes them worse off?

You want to know how I know we are in the “last days?” Well, the fact that this post didn’t get as many comments as the other ones about money.

Also, even the preppers and the people who are “awake” don’t seem to be fond of critical thinking. That’s the problem I also have with this group too — they are mostly anti-intellectual. Many of them say that if society has to start over we’ll start from scratch, so all poetry, literature, music, etc., will become meaningless again. Essentially, they are anti-intellectual. What they forget is that a society without the arts and culture, and even philosophy, is not a real civilisation.

Anyhow, just my two cents, sorry if I got off-topic, but I feel this is related to this post somehow too.

If you think The Banana Republic of America (formerly the US of A) is dangerous now, just wait. As economic conditions in the BRA go from bad to much, much worse, the violence and social unrest will intensify. BRA cities will come to resemble Third World cities, where lavish gated communities of millionaires and billionaires can be only a few miles from squalid shantytown slums. The BRA doesn’t have the Desperate People Doing Desperate Things Tax (DPDDTT) just yet, but it will. DPDDTT is a term that describes the desperate things that desperate people do in Third World countries in order to survive—for example, kidnapping, armed robbery, violent home invasions. If you live in Caracas or Guatemala City and have a lot of money, you either pay for armed bodyguards or pay the DPDDTT. And you’d better treat your armed bodyguards really well because the DPDDTT collectors are very good at bribing armed bodyguards. Kidnapping has become a major industry in parts of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and the Asian Pacific, and it will become a major industry in the BRA when the BRA’s newly desperate get sick of being desperate.

When those wolves realize that working 12-hour days in a sweatshop isn’t paying their bills, they decide that the Desperate People Doing Desperate Things Tax is a better way to keep food on the table. The DPDDTT can be very profitable when a billionaire or millionaire in Rio de Janeiro, Manila or San Salvador doesn’t want his kidnapped wife or kidnapped daughter to come home in 20 different pieces (it really sucks when that happens).

I had never considered that the armed guards could be bribed. Good point. Does this happen often?

      • El Pollo de Oro

Gary2 in Wisconsin: In Latin America, bribing the bodyguards who are hired to protect the ultra-rich from DPDDTT collectors isn’t uncommon. Here’s how it often happens:

        1. DPDDTT collectors from a kidnapper gang target millionaire or billionaire and decided to kidnap his wife, daughter, etc.
        2. DPDDTT collector approaches bodyguard, “Órale, guay. Want to make some extra money? Look the other way when when we kidnap your boss’ wife, son, daughter. etc. for ransom.”
        3. DPDDTT collector pays off bodyguard, who sets up the rich businessman’s wife or daughter to be kidnapped. The bodyguard might agree beforehand to get punched in the face, hit over the head or maced so that no one suspects the bodyguard of helping the kidnapper. “I tried to stop them, but as you can see from the big gash on my forehead, those cabrones overpowered me. Maldito sea!”

That’s why it makes sense for a millionaire or billionaire in Latin America to pay his bodyguards really well: they’re less bribable that way. But some millionaire and billionaires can be extremely cheap, and the DPDDTT collectors know that.

      • El Pollo de Oro

By the way, I recently discussed the dreaded DPDDTT with an Argentinean guy I know here in Philly. He agreed with my view that Chile, Uruguay and Costa Rica are three Latin American countries where the DPDDTT isn’t collected, and he attributed that to the strength of the middle class in those countries. Argentina, he said, has become much more dangerous as a result of the bankster scum declaring war on the Argentinean middle class. And he agrees with me that the DPDDTT is on its way to the BRA now that we’re a banana republic.

        • liberranter

That’s really a shame about Argentina. It has always been one of the more “European” of Latin American countries. Having a stable middle class –heck, having stable government, period– would, one would have thought, been one of its most enduring characteristics.

          • El Pollo de Oro

Argentina is a perfect example of what Alex Jones talks about when he says that developed countries can UN-develop when they allow banksters to debase their economies. Buenos Aires used to be the Paris of Latin America, and it was generally a safe city unless you did something risky like walking down a side street in La Boca by yourself late at night. Now, the shanty slums of Buenos Aires are growing and becoming breeding grounds for crime and social decay.

          El Pollo:

this may be a dumb question but are Uruguay and Paraguay all that different and if so how?

          • El Pollo de Oro

Paraguay is a much poorer country than Uruguay, although not as poor as Bolivia. Uruguay is very developed. If you walked around much of Montevideo (Uruguay’s largest city), you would think you were visiting a city in Western Europe. Uruguay is very developed, has a much better infrastructure than Paraguay and has a large middle class (at least for now). You can drink the tap water in Uruguay without getting “el turismo.” Paraguay, like most banana republics, has a very affluent minority and a dirt-poor majority––and the affluent minority pay the DPDDTT.

    Wow…

    How many have fallen.

Recommendations: get a 12 gauge shotgun. Versatile, cheap, effective, and plentiful. It’s my favorite by far. Many will say that it’s not as good as a 30.06 or a .50 long-range rifle, but that’s just cause many don’t know how to work a shotgun or manipulate the shells properly. I love wax shot, cut shells, rock salt shot, fletchettes – even blanks used to propel arrows and other projectiles. Rifles don’t do that.

For a sidearm, get a .38/.357 Mag handgun. Cheap and plentiful ammo, good for the price, effective, compact, and easy to use. Practice with the .357 ammo, and protect yourself with the .38 rounds. It’s also good ammo for a rifle at closer quarters. Most stores that sell guns and ammo have all these in stock and buying is easy.

Also learn to repair and make guns and ammo. A shotgun and shells is easiest to make from hardware shop supplies. Get training a license first.

If a melee tool is needed, a Bowie is excellent; but if cost is an issue use a good non-serrated cooking knife. Most camping axes at retailers is about $7-$8 and is formidable. My daughter prefers the flat skillet. :)

For hand-to-hand, forget kung-fu and other show-off stuff. Use the self-defense methods used by WWII American and British troops to take down Nazi’s. Get a booklet called “Get Tough!” Free online. http://www.tsroadmap.com/early/tough.pdf

If you’re worried about “zombie” attacks or what-not you can fortify your home cheap and easy. Fill bags, pillow cases, or what you have with sand or soil and pile up in a room or wherever you want fortified two bags deep. This is good protection. Also look into film for windows that will make it into safety glass – it won’t be perfect, but it’ll buy you some time. To get downtime and another st of eyes; get a watch dog or train your dog to do the work.

If attacked, make sure to prepare beforehand with supplies. Also get a book called “Where There Is No Doctor” by the Hesperian Foundation. They have a lot of these rural medicine books, so get ‘em all. Free if done by chapter. http://www.hesperian.org

    Prepare and be happy.

the snow, so that nobody slips and breaks something.
(Or falls and hits their head on the pavement, a la Paul.)

    • http://www.prepper-resources.com PJ Prepper

David, good starting list you have there. Quite heavy on the personal defense side of the house but there is nothing wrong with that. I would encourage people to put more emphases on sustainable preps (in the beginning) so if/when the civil unrest comes about you will be able to lay low and avoid the initial maelstrom. Food, water, more food, ways to filter water. Once the store shelves go empty and debit cards are worthless things will get crazy. It will however take a while (if not mitigated, maybe a couple weeks) for scenarios like the ones we all prepare for to start manifesting themselves, i.e. looters heading into suburbia to kill and pillage at will. Once the local law enforcement and National Guard give up to go home and protect their loved ones…watch out.

-As to the shotgun, a great weapon which serves a good purpose. Cheap and easily used for home defense or even hunting. Poor range and accuracy at long range, and horribly small round capacity/slow reloads handicap it. I would encourage people to be familiar with a shotgun AND a good semi-automatic rifle. A relatively good shooter could put 60 rounds on target with an AR15 before the guy with a shotgun could shoot 6 (or 8), reload, and get through the next 6 (or 8). At distances greater than 150 yards? Fugghetaboutit.

-Repairing weapons and learning the art of reloading is a great skill. I too think everyone who is serious about guns should get into this. If anything you will save money and learn a new skill. Post SHTF, you’ll be able to roll your own.

-If a melee tool is needed, well I’ll put it like this. When you dual carry (long gun and hand gun) you definitely practice transitions to the handgun, and reloads as well. The old saying is that if you are actually doing reloads with your handgun…that means so many things have gone wrong (with you and your team) you probably are screwed regardless. If it comes down to wielding battle axes and frying pans that means all of your primary long guns have failed (or you are out of ammo) and same for your pistols. There is no retreat and you are simply being overrun. The best way to approach this scenario is to live to fight another day (even if it does mean retreat) because nothing good ever happens when you try to go down swinging like Braveheart. Remember, while we ALL like to be macho men and talk about all of the things we will possibly do when the looting hoards come, if SHTF the best fight (gun fight, melee fight) is the one you NEVER have to get into. Lay low, lay low, Lay Low. All of the macho gun owners who go out looking for fights or provoke fights will find them, and they will be sorry.

-I concur sandbags are good to have as a last resort for fortification. The cheap plywood and drywall on the 2nd story around your window won’t do anything to stop a bullet. Then again I revert back to my other paragraph. If it comes down to that….

Overall just providing some additional insight. Each person must prepare in a way which they are comfortable. If that means shotguns and frying pans, so be it. I might choose to have a different method but that’s ok as well. We should all do our best to prepare for uncertain times, to include defending ourselves and our loved ones in a civil unrest situation. But that should be the absolute last resort, and I mean last. Lots of guys spend hours plinking at their local flat range in camo and cool guy gear, some even hope they might get to use their tacti-cool gun in a fight someday. For their sake I hope it never happens. Plan and prepare but be smart about it.

Yeah, I was going for a bare bones defense/offense list for those on tight budgets. I also know how to make an AR-15 and I love it, but most folks I know can’t afford it.

    The Democratic Party of Today:
    Romans 1:21
(Democrats do not want God mentioned in the party platform and are actively removing God from society) 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
(They worship the state, SOCIALISM and the Earth, HUMANISM) 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
(If it feels good do it, no right and wrong) 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie
(They worship the Earth, Radical Environmentalist) and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
    (They support and encourage Homosexuality)
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

(Their thinking is backwards and unGodly, they lie right to your face)
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Of course this can apply to all of us, but look at the Democrat party; this is a pretty good description from the word of God about what they are peddling.

    • liberranter

As revolting and overtly Godless as most Democrats are, most Republicans are really no better. Their pious platitudes are merely political theater used to deceive what they believe to be a key demographic group (one actually MUCH smaller than the Republican head honchos believe it to be) and to gull the non-thinking majority into ignoring the abysmal gulf between what the Republican party says and what it actually does.

    • SMASH THE CONTROL MACHINE

The REPUBLICAN Party of Today:!!!!They taught about God but did not love God — they did not enter the kingdom of heaven themselves, nor did they let others enter. (Matt 23:13-14)
They preached God but converted people to dead religion, thus making those converts twice as much sons of hell as they themselves were. (Matt 23:15)
They taught that an oath sworn by the temple or altar was not binding, but that if sworn by the gold ornamentation of the temple, or by a sacrificial gift on the altar, it was binding. The gold and gifts, however, were not sacred in themselves as the temple and altar were, but derived a measure of lesser sacredness by being connected to the temple or altar. The teachers and Pharisees worshipped at the temple and offered sacrifices at the altar because they knew that the temple and altar were sacred. How then could they deny oath-binding value to what was truly sacred and accord it to objects of trivial and derived sacredness? (Mat 23:16-22)
They taught the law but did not practise some of the most important parts of the law — justice, mercy, faithfulness to God. They obeyed the minutiae of the law such as titheing spices but not the real meat of the law. (Matt 23:23-24)
They presented an appearance of being ‘clean’ (self-restrained, not involved in carnal matters), yet they were dirty inside: they seethed with hidden worldly desires, carnality. They were full of greed and self-indulgence. (Matt 23:25-26)
They exhibited themselves as righteous on account of being scrupulous keepers of the law, but were in fact not righteous: their mask of righteousness hid a secret inner world of ungodly thoughts and feelings. They were full of wickedness. They were like whitewashed tombs, beautiful on the outside, but full of dead men’s bones. (Matt 23:27-28)
They professed a high regard for the dead prophets of old, and claimed that they would never have persecuted and murdered prophets, when in fact they were cut from the same cloth as the persecutors and murderers: they too had murderous blood in their veins. (Matt 23:29-36)LOVE GOD LOVE ONE ANOTHER?? SOMBODY HAS BLOOD AN THEIR HANDS. THEY ARE PROBABLY LIKE WHITE WASH TOMBS!!”Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Jesus did not condemn homosexuality. He said, there are eunuchs who are born that way, eunuchs who are made that way, and eunuchs who are voluntarily living that way (not having sex with women) for the sake of the kingdom of God. Roman law recognized something called a “natural eunuch” which is a man who does not have sex with women. A natural eunuch would of course not be castrated, as a regular eunuch was. That would be a homosexual.

An armed society is a polite society. If the powers that be have their way, decent people will have their guns taken from them. God help us.

    • Paul

an armed society is soon dead, if they are also paranoid and fundamentalist.

The purpose of guns is to use them to kill people with ammo.

    • http://www.prepper-resources.com PJ Prepper

I am a huge supporter of gun rights for civilians. I own guns and have no problem with other law abiding citizens owing pistols, handguns, “assault rifles” or whatever. Yet I’m not sure if I totally am on board with the catch phrase “an armed society is a polite society.” There are over 300 million guns in the US and we are still crumbling at the core. If we were to double or triple that number, would it correlate directly to an increase in being “polite” or civilized or having more integrity?

      The answer is no.

If there was a way for the government to issue each person a firearm, and train them, so that every single person over the age of 18 had a gun with them at all times…would all crime go away? All drug use? All pornography and adultery? All rape and molesting, all financial crimes and while collar crimes? Nope.

Just like “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” the same is true for “guns don’t make a society polite and wholesome, people make a society and wholesome.” And with most of our values in the gutter, no number of guns will bring about a turnaround in that trend (unfortunately).

Does that mean we should confiscate all guns should the opposite be true? Again, no. I’m merely trying to point out that “an armed society is a polite society” isn’t necessarily the panacea most make it out to be.

      • Drew from Oz

Thanks for your fresh opinion- as a durned furriner ( Australian) I often get lectured that “an armed society is a polite society” I believe you are much closer to the mark. After all, look at some countries where near everyone has an AK47- they are armed but sure as heck not polite.
People make a society, not the quantity and calibre of their weapons. Please don’t take this as an attack on owning firearms- it isn’t- I have been in the ADF and shot since I was 12.

      • Kevin2

        PJ Prepper

There are a lot of guns in the US but quite often the criminals are armed in spite of the laws and the law abiding are effectively disarmed complying with the various laws. More often the high rates of criminal use of guns are criminals killing other criminals.

The ultra low percentages of carry permit holders misusing a firearm tends to support the “armed society is a polite society”.

This comment is in regard to the teacher having sex with her students. This blows me away! When I was growing up in the dark ages of the 1960’s, most women did not have sex until they got married. Guys put pressure on them, but for the most part, a man had to wait until he got married to enjoy the pleasures of sex. The Christian ethos/morality of a girl waiting until she got married was in effect. Now the script has been completely flipped! The girls/women are putting pressure on the men/boys to have sex with them!!! This would never have happened in the 1960’s. Would somebody please, please explain to me how todays women got so aggressive???

You can thank the mass media brainwashing for that. From MK Ulta puppets like Britany Spears to Lady Gaga and that old used up hooker aka Madonna, the way girls are taught from tv, movies and award shows is why many women are oversexed moraless people. I’m a girl and can honestly tell you that is why because even though i has a wonderful mom/role model, I’d watch bad shows on tv and watch MTV at my friends houses whose parents didn’t care. I was very rebellious at times and look back now and feel sorry for how I was but anyway, I’d see the sexy dressed girls on tv and so badly wanted to be that instead of the awkward nerd I was. So one day after i had gone off to college I decided i wanted a boyfriend (up to this point I had only kissed 2 boys) and I started letting tv and society influence me to change who i was so I would for once not be nerd girl anymore. Well it backfired and I had lots of regrets. Fast forward to now, I’m myself..,modest and slightly still a nerd but I embrace it. I don’t watch tv or movies that lack morals. I dont ever have to the desire to listen to wordly music anymore. I love God and want to be a good Christian lady. When or If I have daughters or sons, tv will not be in my home.

Excuse the typos…I’m in a i phone and I’m sleepy.

    • Chris

Yes, I’ll explain a part of it: The majority of men ceased to be men. The Scriptures show the proper order of the home, but we thought we knew better.

Here’s something else to add: For decades many parents thought it good to spend all kinds of money to send the kids to college after buying the lie about it being necessary to “get a good job.”

The vast amounts paid to not only continue their ongoing indoctrination (started in the public fool system, where, besides numerous lies and falsehoods, the girls are taught to be whores and the boys to be sodomites) of the girl’s learning to be feminist and “carrier” woman, while putting out of her mind completely the idea of being a Godly woman (Ephesians 5: 22 – 24; 1 Peter 3: 1 – 6; 1 Timothy 5: 14 – 15. etc.).

On top of that, now she (the boys too) can be surrounded by and learn all the various forms of decadence and depravity that today’s colleges have to offer, not to mention the “truth”, “wisdom”, “knowledge” and “understanding” provided therefrom.

Now I’m not putting all the blame on colleges as their just a microcosm of the overall problem.

Hosea 4: 6 ” Because … I also will forget your children.” Read all of chapter 4. It pretty much describes America today.

Turn back to Him, while He may yet be found.

    • Chris

Easy. Years and years of indoctrination through the media, feminism, films, employment, the deliberate destruction of Christianity and the feminized education system has shaped/diverted society down a different path. The big question is why.

#23 Overall, more than 50 million abortions have been performed in the United States since Roe vs. Wade was decided back in 1973. At this point, the number of babies killed by abortion in America every year is almost as high as the total number of military deaths in all of U.S. history.

hmmmmmmmmm, were there 50 million people WILLING to adopt?

    • Michael

The last time I checked there is certainly no shortage of people looking to adopt babies.

Rather, there is a shortage of newborns to be adopted.

      Michael

      • phelps

Thats correct, but a wise crack is always easier than doing research.

        • Gay Veteran

again, were there 50 million people WILLING to adopt?

      • Gary2

looking to adopt white babies is more like the truth.

      • Subprime

Plenty of black kids to adopt.

        • liberranter

The reason why so many Americans adopt children from overseas is because government in Amerika has made the adoption process almost IMPOSSIBLE from a legal standpoint. EVERY aspect of perspective adoptive parents’ lives is put under a Statist microscope and held hostage to entirely subjective interpretations of whether or not they are “fit” to be parents. Law after regulation after law after regulation is piled upon them, forcing them to spend money most don’t have on expensive legal assistance for even the most trivial of steps in the process – never mind the process of actually being able to adopt a child.

SO, to all of the self-righteous “Progressives” out there who berate Americans for not adopting “native” children, you have government to thank for it.

@Gary2: The reason most white American couples don’t adopt black AMERICAN children is because your favorite race-hustling fraternities scream bloody murder and actually mount legal challenges whenever they attempt to do so (yet for some strange reason, these people tend to be a lot less vocal and intrusive when it comes to adoptions of children from Africa. Go figure.)

Okay, see saying that you’d need 50 million people to save those murdered children is a ridiculous fallacy. Is this how the Left justifies murder? What’s next; target abortion programs on certain peoples and creeds?

I would love a lot of children to my name. 15 or more would be ideal. My problem is that there’s a lot of Leftists that WON’T GET OUT OF MY WAY!!! They love murder, they love control, they love restrictions, they love suffering – they love tearing down whilst pretending to be angelic. They force people thought the use of a “social mandate” or in the name of the public good.

I find it rather amusing for a avowed sodomite who cannot procreate considers himself an expert on adoption. The Hard Left will fight for abortion to the bitter end. Killing babies in the womb is one of the pillars of the reprobates along with defending and promoting sodomy.

      • Paul

the left would prescribe anti baby pill and teach kids in school how babies are made. And how to use condoms.

        Condoms also protect from std.

      • Paul

Sodomy prevents abortion, by not making pregnant in the first place. And if you can’t get pregnant you need to look at adoption if you want to raise a family.
Logic isn’t very popular with bible thumpers as long as you remember every psalm?

“and the Hard Right wants to enslave women to force them to give birth. You have NO liberty if you do not control your own body.”

No, this is more liberal b.s. trying to justify abortion, which is the murder of an unborn baby. You have 100% control of your body when you make a decision whether or not to engage in sexual intercourse. In 99% of those cases, that decision is of full consent. If we lived in a culture of life rather than a culture of death, protecting the unborn would be a no brainer. Your very illogic about women controlling their bodies has brought us the infanticide of 50 million U.S. abortions. We would need far less than 50 million adoptions if we started teaching sexual decency, morality and the highest respect for human life to our children. It’s high time to face the fact that the sexual revolution brought on by the woodstock crowd [8+15+1969] has been an colossal failure. Christi Fidelis !

    • Chris

Irrelevant. How many of those abortions are the result of the women feeling pressured to abort for career reasons not because of lack of adoption. Some of the blame goes to the revolting money obsessed corporations.

Decay comes from inactivity and apathy, being disconnected from your natural self. Being divided by thoughts (your ego), which leads too….well you get it.

Society is decaying, BUT they won’t believe it. Hence, that’s why I say they’re ignorant. Obviously, to me at least, when a society starts: trashing it’s own environment, parents and children have a hard time get along, and can’t live in harmony with their fellow CITIZENS (people are so divided they label each other now i.e liberals, poor, class this, class that, etc) then a society will decline for sure.

HHHHMMMM, but You forgot one thing Micheal. Wall Street LAUNDERING drug money from cartels and other various organizations. BECAUSE WHO MAKES MONEY FROM DRUGS ON THE STREETS OF AMERICA??!! You nailed it in this article, Michael!

The heinous crimes against children are insanely evil. Little girls are being raped, throats cut, stabed repeatedly, most recently one dismembered. This is EVIL at its utmost. It is demonic and anyone paying attention has to come to this conclusion.

All the mentioned possibilities for the cuase of the rise in evil are absolutely true. WHERE ARE THE PARENTS? Who is buying the gamess, music, videos, etc.?

Scripture says “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness in high plaes, the rulers of darkness and principalities in HIGH PLACES.”

So how can you vote for someone who thinks homosexual marriage, abortion on demand, pornography, etc. is a right? Someone who wants God out of speeches, off the money, no Christmas caroles and on and on?

It is of paramount importance that each person prayerfully considers before they vote who they believe has ethical and moral clarity. And that is definitely NOT Obama.

He is a champion of each and every immoral cause mentioned. His friends and supporters come from the entertainment industry who panders to the debased society we find ourselves in. The old adage of judging a person by the company he keeps definitely should be applied here.

Michael has highlighted in this article a matter of serious, serious consequences. Commenters have up to this point acurately hit the nail on the head!

    • Ian

Many other countries allow these things without the whole country falling apart. Does God only pay attention to America?

And the countries that are falling through the crack arent whining and blaming homosexuals, abortion and pornography.

No. They are smarter than redneck Americans and they look for the problem and find a solution and dot go around websites criticizing an entire portion of the population.

These divisive wedge issues like abortion, homosexuality and porno have worked very well to the advantage of those who wish to divide and conquer.

We are slaves to our children and have allowed our women to rule over us. We are no longer men and have become mice.

Most men spend too much time at the bar, strip club, watching and talking just about sports. We have simply given up being a cooperative with our women and allow our children to dictate our schedules and how we spend our money.

Our kids don’t need all the stuff we get them and show a lack of appreciation when they don’t get it all. The less they have the more they would appreciate it.

Men feel superior to women and vice versa. The truth is, we our nothing without each other. It is time to forget the superiority thing and get back to working together to build a better society and future for us and the generations to follow.

Turn off the T.V. Tell Oprah and Dr. Phil to go to hell. We don’t need them or the snake oil they are all selling. Maybe then we would get a better quality of programming without all the victim groups (CNN & MSNBC for example) and idiots (Tosh 2.0 for example) dominating the airwaves.

Lets all quit being so selfish and materialistic. Take your children to archery lessons instead of watching the Disney channel. Go for a walk with your spouse and tell them you love instead of you have a better job than them, work harder and make more $ than them. Cooperate with your spouse instead of competing with them.

Be a do-gooder, world improver by volunteering at your local Boys and Girls Club, CASA, or become a guardian ad litem and make a difference in a childs life, not go to work for the government doing worthless work as a social worker, cop or teacher. Because too many of them are just in that line of work for the pension and you will become jaded as well as frustrated by all the incompetence surrounding you. There are many ways to make a difference in your community without government assistance.

Lets just quit bitching and get off our asses and do something about it.

We are no longer men and have become mice.

Depending on my mood at the time, I either laugh my head off or turn my head in disgust whenever I hear a woman complain about there being “no real men out there anymore.” What not one of them will ever be honest enough to admit to herself, or to anyone else, is that THE LAST THING she and her sestren (my own invented word, the feminine equivalent of “brethren”), be they feminists or not, really want is a “real man.” A “real man” who takes charge and takes care of things for his mate and his family gets in the way of the woman being able to be “independent” – when she wants to be; having her own money and own space – when it’s convenient for her to have them; and making her own decisions for herself – when it’s to her advantage to do so. But when the mood strikes her that she doesn’t want to be independent (“it’s just too harrrrrd out there!”), when it’s not convenient for her to have to earn her own money and put a roof over her own head, and when it’s inconvenient and burdensome for her to have to make her own decisions, only then will she run to what she thinks is “a real man” (she’s usually dead wrong about that; her judgment is about as well-honed as porcelain egg) around to lean on – but only for so long before the emotional pendulum swings back the other way.

In other words, women, though most will never admit it, want to have their cake and eat it too. A “real man” wouldn’t stand for that kind of double-standard nonsense, hence the gulf between the rhetorical desire for “a real man” and the resentment and anger most women feel once they get (what they think is) their wish.

Most men spend too much time at the bar, strip club, watching and talking just about sports. We have simply given up being a cooperative with our women and allow our children to dictate our schedules and how we spend our money.

I wouldn’t use the word “most” in that first sentence, especially where strip clubs are concerned (these are the ultimate waste of time and money, the ephemeral playground of adultolescent little boys). But I digress. Given the radical feminization of our society and the catastrophe it has wrought, growing numbers of men have come to realize that investing time, emotion, soul, and money into a committed relationship is self-defeating, yields negative ROI, and is a commitment that usually ends badly for them.

As for the adultolescent boys who make the strip club their second home, one can almost understand the pathology. Since the modern feminist movement has, ironically, led to women objectifying and hyper-sexualizing themselves (as a statement of “independence” and “self-expression,” if not for hope of material gain or sexual satisfaction), it stands to reason that there will be an endless number of men who will be more than happy to view them as sex objects rather than humans. Simply stated, there is very little reason for most men to “man up” in this dysfunctional society today, at least not for the sake of establishing or maintaining a committed relationship with the opposite sex. The stark contrast between the “real man” rhetoric and the reality of how the “real man” is actually treated and viewed by most of society is just too obvious. This doesn’t even take into consideration that being a “real man” in many settings will get you ostracized, mocked, or even, in extreme circumstances, arrested.

As for as “allow[ing] our children to dictate our schedules and how we spend our money” is concerned, real men certainly don’t do that. But the “real man” who would stand up, put his foot down, and tell his children in no uncertain terms what life is going to be like under his roof, on his terms, had better be damned sure that he has a real woman backing him up. Unfortunately, all too often today, there isn’t that kind of balance in the family dynamic between husband and wife. The “real man” husband is all too frequently offset by an adultolescent woman wife who takes their kids’ side in family arguments (and yes, the reverse of this dynamic [real woman wife-vs-adultolescent man husband] is just as often the case too). Why? Because one half of the two-parent unit is far too often just as emotionally and spiritually immature as their offspring. If this were not the case, wouldn’t it stand to reason that the collapse of the family unit we are now witnessing would not even be an issue?

Bottom line: only by some miracle will these trends reverse themselves, and it doesn’t appear that God is greatly disposed at the present time toward blessing Amerika with miracles. [SARCASM]Now, why might that be?[/SARCASM]

      • http://msn.com thisonewilldo

There is hope. Not to brag but I am a former feminist that gets it even to refuse the trend. Thank God.
Continuing to try to get my children to act intelligently and not emotional. TPTB love drama, pain and suffering. I find myself having to turn the tide every night after they come home. Uphill and exhausting battle but I do not give up. I have found that most women (and men for that matter) do not the right information in order to reverse as you say or to change. I was one of the lucky ones. I read for 11 years following my divorce and found a hand ful of books that actually gave out the right, remedial, information. One insightful book wasn’t even available at the book store and one would have to “special” order it. Hundreds of the books were useless. Best $300.00 I ever spent though. Going to used book stores buying cheap books at that rate is is how I finally discovered the answers. Now I buy the same five or six used books and give them out as gifts. I tell everyone to buy used books and read, read until they get it. They will get a better education than going to any shovernment sponsored schools and grow a real brain as a result.

Will there always be world strife and conflict? History would suggest this to be the case. You allege J.D. and L.L.M. Degrees. What was the focus of your L.L.M degree? If you will name two of the law firms that employed you?

After spending twenty-years as a police detective and then completing law school, I didn’t read anything in this article that was out of the ordinary – that phrase defined as the erratic behavior of designated individuals that have, historically, been outside the social norms.

Maxx, does your daughter attend publik skool? If she does, and if you’ve been paying any attention to what goes on inside said juvenile indoctrination centers, it shouldn’t come as any surprise to you at all why your daughter seems to be “more of a man” than her male classmates.

The publik skoolz have, for the last several decades, been waging open warfare against boys for acting like boys. Excessive discipline, forced medication, and punitive classroom activities deliberately targeted toward turning boys into docile little girls with testosterone has been the order of the day.

If your daughter’s male classmates aren’t “acting like men.” it’s because it has been bred of them by the schools themselves.

Ian: Aren’t you the poster that keeps saying we have to be positive and not negative? Thats great, I agree. However, having ones head in the sand rather than actually being a realist and seeing things for what they are, are 2 different things.

You say abortion, homosexuality, porno is used by those who wish to “divide and conquer”??? Not sure what you mean exactly by divide and conquer??????? Your posts seem to indicate if those who call themselves Christians are somehow haters and narrow minded by speaking out against these things, is this assumption correct?

Then you my friend had better not read the writing of the apostle Paul or the sayings of Jesus, or any book of the Bible then. If your “jesus” is just love, then you believe in a different jesus as revealed in the scriptures. Your “jesus” is a blond haired, blue eyed surfer jesus who just loves, loves, loves, and accepts people who ever and whatever they are. If you read the whole Bible you will see that God is a Holy, Righteous God who is angry with sinners every day, and will send those to HELL whom have not repented and turned to the “Only name under heaven in which men can be saved”

Speaking about negative reality is being aware of what is going on and acknowledging evil in the world and admitting the reality that human beings are not ‘good” at all. You say there is some good in all people. If someone does “good” than he/she is only doing what the law says to do. If a driver does not break the speed limit, most would say he/she is “good”, but he’she is only obeying the law. The reality is that we have all broken Gods law, ( stolen, lied, committed adultery, etc) and a righteous Holy God will punish law breakers. Repent today and turn to Jesus.

All these “signs” and article showing that our society is sliding deeper into depravity each day, is only a sign of the times….a sign of a nation who has forsaken God.

Obama also provided the Iranian special forces with a videotaped statement in which he said, “We will not stop until we attain victory or martyrdom.”

Iranian special forces said the public was not in danger at any point during its “sting” operation.

The elite has arranged a large number of terrorism “stings” since the attacks of September 11, 2001, in order to make the case that it is tracking down and prosecuting terrorists.

The contrived plot will undoubtedly allow Iran to make the argument it is now a terrorist target.”

These aren’t the “last days” leading up to an end of these problems. They are going to go on and on and on, just as they have for many years, and there’s not going to be an end to them.

In 2006 the Democrats and the media screamed bloody murder over the high price of gas. When Barack Obama was inaugurated, the average gas price was $1.87 a gallon. Now that the price has more than doubled, what are the Democrats and the administration saying now? If you guessed that high gas prices under Obama are somehow a good thing, give yourself a pat on the back. The liberal mindset is always an amazing thing to behold.

How can one believe that Americans are awake to the coming nightmare when they continue to believe the LIES of 911???

  • RealityBetraysUs

The 2nd great depression is upon us.Those that know realize the dollar is no longer being accepted as the universal exchange currency. It will take 8 months for all those useless dollars to return to the USA.
I asked my mom (who died in 2006) what it was like during the depression in the 30’s, she told me they did not have any food only potato soup all the time for dinner… I guess we will have a decade of beans, rice and potatoes to eat for those who have food. Judgement is upon the USA, repent and turn to God while we still have time…

    • Mondobeyondo

Yes – and when that happens, it will be trouble.
Trouble, with a capital T, and that rhymes with… oh, forget it.

The Fed is printing dollars like mad.
Now imagine billions of dollars coming “home” from foreign countries.
We’ll be swimming in dollar bills.
      HYPERINFLATION!!
It will be Bad, Bad, Bad… BAD!! (And for the sheeple, it’ll be baaaa-aaaaad.)

  • Paul

In America the president is fixing retail prices?

You have any corporation standing up against this and giving a discount to become more competitive? Or are they too dependent on the state?

Do you have any private companies that can make their own price? Maybe you could learn something from China.

For we Canadians, the disintegration of our neighbour to the South is frightening. While years ago it was a delight to make a trip across the border and visit with friends, it is better to choose other places in the world to visit. It is frightening to go to the US!

Of course for the average American, news is filtered and as is often correctly pointed out on this site and others, news about the rest of the world or what is really happening inside the US is not available. Our CBC and CTV in Canada as well as BBC in Britain have a much better pulse on world and current events.

How many Americans for instance are aware of the horrible tragedy (another confirmation of this Blog writer’s points) that happened on Tuesday here in the Metro Vancouver area at the third busiest border crossing between Canada and the US when an armed American man from Washington State shot a Canadian border guard in the neck before committing suicide in his vehicle? The further tragedy is that here in Canada with a peace loving society our Border Guards do not even carry weapons and will not be armed until 2016 following pressure from the US.

This is an awesome Blog and I pass kudos on to the writer who is sincerely striving to make Americans as well as others in the world aware of what is really happening. Those who pay attention will be prepared or at least aware without surprise as the calamity unfolds. The US has long enjoyed corporate and Wall Street corruption, the benefit of the PetroDollar scam and so many other disconcerting practices in bullying the rest of the world and now the karmic balance is beginning to unfold. I worry for friends in the US and can only hope they can escape the massive unrest that is about unfold before Canada will close the border!

I hope all listen sincerely to what this author is trying to say to everyone and warn them about. Blessings to all …

    • Mondobeyondo

Haven’t heard a single word of the incident you mentioned, here in the American press. But I’m not surprised. I do wonder what kind of “news” we are getting over here (besides the latest exploits of Lindsay Lohan and Honey Boo-Boo).

    • Tumble

I agree, but to call Canada a peace loving society is short sighted. I am a US citizen and live in Northern Alberta now (Oil Country). I can tell you that it is the wild west here. Drugs, crime and violence galore. Even a small town has a high crime and even murder rate. I am also shocked at how racist people are here, but then they say they are not.
But then again there is a lot of money to be made, so I’m staying.
By the way, I love Vancouver!

On a further economic note … how many Americans are aware of the fact that EU leaders have now confessed they have been pressured to keep things “status quo” and quiet until after the US election on November 6. One has to wonder what they have been promised in return? From this site and others, we are certainly aware of the dire situation in Europe and to now be aware that the can is being kicked down the street until after the election is even more frightening.

Again, this Blog writer continues to point out so many things that are attesting to the “Economic Collapse” and always has links to sources. It is interesting to note that he is not the only one warning of this situation. One can find countless resources now pointing out the same things. If one person says something, it might be questioned, however when so many different resources are saying the same thing, we better get ready for something big!

I’m sick of hearing about how the rise of inequality is due to global forces, “acts of god” if you will, beyond our control. Nonsense. We choose to set ultra-low tax rates on the rich, we choose to do nothing to prevent off shoring. The Chinese didn’t make us deregulate wall st. The Chinese aren’t forcing us to take seriously putting a financial con man in the WH.

Inequality will take another quantum leap if the class warriors get to turn medicare into vouchercare and privatize SS. More $ will be redistributed to the top as the elderly are squeezed to make up the difference. We won’t be able to blame that on China, either.

TAX THE RICH AND SPREAD THE WEALTH

“we choose to do nothing to prevent off shoring”

Your wrong. They (I refuse to be part of it so no we) both party’s in high percentages voted for Free Trade with slave labor nations forcing well compensated Americans to go head to head with people earning a bowl of rice and fish head for a days labor.

They, both Political Party’s didn’t just passively do nothing. They made all of this happen.

  • SMASH THE CONTROL MACHINE
  • JoeThePimpernel

@Gary2 – You obviously have a religious faith in government. You want government to steals stuff from people who earned it and share the loot with you.

Governments have murdered 262 million of their own citizens since 1900, and the overwhelming majority of those murders were by socialist governments.

    http://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/20TH.HTM

Government creates nothing that you wish to “redistribute.” Government has no need to produce anything, because they have a license to steal.

“The rich” don’t spend every penny they can get their hands on on Escalades, $500 sneakers and bling.

“The rich” got to be “the rich” by investing their discretionary income in businesses that generate profits and taxes and employ people who pay taxes on the wages they receive from those businesses.

“The rich” create sustainable jobs, i.e., jobs that create value.

Government can only create unsustainable jobs, i.e., jobs that kill private-sector jobs created by the investments of “the rich.”

    A few facts..

..about American finance that many “may not know”. Where else is the money coming “from” and where else is it “going”? Just be aware of it, now that most are aware of what is happening to them financially. Time to get the blindfolds off and consider other factors aside from an out of control Federal Reserve and a completely corrupt banking sector. Denver International Airport is not “all” what it seems! Something and somebody has been financing this… and many other “bases”. Why?

An anthropologist by the name of J.D. Unwin initiated a study with the premise that marriage was not necessary and possibly even detrimental to the development of great societies. At the end of this study he completely reversed his hypothesis.

“Perhaps the definitive work on the rise and fall of civilizations,” writes Fitzpatrick, “was published in 1934 by Oxford anthropologist J.D. Unwin”:

In “Sex and Culture,” Unwin studied 86 human civilizations ranging from tiny South Sea island principalities to mighty Rome. He found that a society’s destiny is linked inseparably to the limits it imposes on sexual expression and that those sexual constraints correlate directly to its theological sophistication and religious commitment.

Unwin noted that the most primitive societies had only rudimentary spiritual beliefs and virtually no restrictions on sexual expression, whereas societies with more sophisticated theologies placed greater restrictions on sexual expression, and achieved greater social development.

In particular, cultures that adopt what Unwin dubbed “absolute monogamy” proved to be the most vigorous, economically productive, artistically creative, scientifically innovative and geographically expansive societies on earth.

The following are grave words for the USA that come from noted Harvard sociologist Pitirim Sorokin who found no culture surviving once it ceased to support marriage and monogamy. None.

Now we can do a basic analysis of marriage in the USA. Current illegitimacy rates are as follows:

    Black 73%

    Hispanic 53%

    White 29%

for an overall rate of 42%. The future of the USA has been written. Currently the rate of illegitimacy for women of all races under 30 is 53%.

“Once a society departs from a social norm of absolute marital monogamy, social chaos ensues within three generations.” — Anthropologist Joseph Daniel Unwin

everyone should look at the keys to Good Government it’s on Youtube as a 5 segment video , our downfall happened when we took prayer out of Schools and the 10 Commandments off the walls , when we did this we took away the moral restraints that God gave us when we meditate on them , they kept us out of trouble from 1620 to 1913 and they were slowly taken away from view , 1962 finished prayer in school and US as a nation

  • Gay Veteran

I agree with you on all these things; but a woman’s right to choose abortion is not one of them.

Government has NO right telling a woman what to do with her body.

And none of us want government interference- we need to butt out of that.

My great grandmother was a midwife- at that time all midwives performed abortions as well.

    • http://www.vdare.com Charles E. Winchester

“Government has NO right telling a woman what to do with her body.”

Does that include late term abortions? Do you approve of abortion taking place after 9 months of gestation, after labour has started?

  • http://www.legalparasites.net Jan

The abortion debate can be ended quickly if people hear the facts that have never been explained before.
It was offered to Obama, because it could cost him the election, but either he’s ignoring it or his people have failed him.
It was offered at Legal Parasites net.

  • Robert

I don’t see how anyone couldn’t see that abortion is destroying this nation. Even from a non-Christian viewpoint, I would think that even a liberal would have a hard time believing that aborting over 50 million babies in the past 40 yeats was a good thing. This nation has aborted whole generations of people that could have been taxpayers paying into things like Social Security and Medicare. The historical population is below replacement level and is shrinking and getting older while the government is importing millions of aliens to replace them and looking the other way on border security. Of course, abortion, homosexuality and other moral bankruptcies are symptoms of something alot bigger. There is a spiritual malaise in this country that needs to be arrested with a revival in this country of America’s Christian roots. This country has changed so much over the years that many people no longer believe in America anymore, including myself.
