The New Reality For U.S. Cities: No Money For Street Lights, Roving Packs Of Wild Dogs And Open-Air Drug Markets

If you want to know what the early stages of an economic collapse look like, just walk around some of the downtown areas of our major cities.  Today, nearly all large U.S. cities are either flat broke or they are on the way to being flat broke.  Yes, New York City and Washington D.C. (and a few others) are still doing fairly well, but for most U.S. cities economic reality is catching up with them very quickly.  Right now, there are a number of major cities that are so broke that they cannot keep the street lights operating.  Down in St. Louis, parents in some areas are carrying golf clubs with them as they walk their kids to school in order to fend off roving packs of wild dogs.  In other major U.S. cities, open-air drug markets conduct business without fear.  All over the United States, cities that used to be clean and prosperous and full of hope are now being transformed into post-industrial wastelands.  We are certainly not in “Mad Max” territory yet, but it doesn’t take too much imagination to see where all of this is headed.

I have previously written about how Detroit is literally coming apart at the seams.  Well, now in many areas of the city they can’t even keep the street lights on anymore.  There simply is not enough money, and even if there was, thieves are stealing the copper wiring out of the street lights faster than the city can repair them.

At this point, there are some neighborhoods in Detroit where up to 50 percent of the street lights are not functioning.

The following is from a recent article in The Detroit News about this crisis….

The war to keep the lights on in Detroit is a serious one. Thieves, antiquated equipment and a lack of funding have made it impossible for city officials to catch up to the problem.

City officials estimate 15-20 percent of the 88,000 lights in the Motor City are not working, and they acknowledge that figure could be as high as 50 percent in some neighborhoods.

But it is not just Detroit that is having a major problem.  Over in Highland Park, Michigan the majority of the street lights have been repossessed because the city was not keeping up with the electricity bill.

So what are residents of Highland Park supposed to do?

Are they supposed to lock themselves in their own homes at night?

In Fresno, California the theft of copper wire from street lights has become a total nightmare.  At this point, the loss of copper wire and the cost of repairing the street lights is costing Fresno about $50,000 a month.  So far, approximately 2,500 street lights have been stripped of their wiring.

Down in St. Louis they are having a different problem.  In some of the worst areas of the city, roving packs of wild dogs are a serious threat to children that are walking to school.

A recent report by the local CBS affiliate in St. Louis described the situation this way….

…Lewis Reed is sounding the alarm. “I’ve witnessed packs of dogs, 10 and 15 dogs running together, and I’ve seen all these dogs I’m talking about they don’t have collars, they don’t have tags, these are truly wild dogs,” he said.

Reed says stray dogs are terrorizing the north side. “It’s obscene that parents have to walk their kids to school, in some parts of the city, with a golf club to fend off wild dogs.”

Can you imagine that?

They say that they are going to try to put more money into animal control efforts if they can find it.  But like most major U.S. cities, St. Louis is a financial basket case.

Moving west a bit, Las Vegas is a different kind of a problem.  It was once a mighty symbol of American luxury and decadence, but now it is a microcosm of everything that has gone wrong with our economy.

The following description of the decline of Las Vegas comes from a recent article in The Telegraph….

But Las Vegas’s days as a boom town are long gone. At 14 percent, unemployment is the highest in America (the national average is 9.1 per cent). House prices have fallen 58.1 per cent since their 2006 high – the biggest losses of anywhere in America, while according to the website RealtyTrac, which specialises in foreclosed properties, Las Vegas is the nation’s foreclosure capital. Some 70 per cent of homes in Las Vegas are thought to be ‘under water’, or in negative equity, meaning their value is worth less than the amount owed on the mortgage, while foreclosure notices have been served on one in 16 properties. A survey last year by the local Las Vegas Review-Journal and Channel 8 News Now found that 34 per cent of locals would leave Las Vegas if they could find a job elsewhere, or if they weren’t underwater on their home loan.

Last year, I wrote a piece entitled “The Death of Las Vegas“.  Since then, things have gotten even worse for the city in many ways.

Today, there are hundreds of people living in the tunnels underneath the streets of Las Vegas.  You can see CNN video of some of these people right here.

But at least the “tunnel people” have a “roof” over their heads.

Over in “Lost Angeles”, homelessness is absolutely exploding and there are thousands of people living in the streets.

The following is from a recent article by Nick Allen….

In Skid Row, a grimy pocket of downtown Los Angeles, the prostrate forms of homeless people lie strewn across the pavements.

The lucky ones have tents for shelter but others make do with a sliver of cardboard for a bed and a supermarket trolley to carry their rags.

At the last police count 1,662 people live on these streets, twice as many as a year ago.

And now amid the drug addicts and the drunks there are families who not so long ago had homes and ordinary suburban lives.

Wait, wasn’t the economy supposed to be getting better?

So why has the number of people living on Skid Row doubled over the past year?

Los Angeles, like much of California, is rapidly falling apart.  Decades of very foolish policies have turned the “California Dream” into the “California Nightmare“.

Unemployment is rampant, crime is seemingly everywhere and the gangs appear to be getting bolder by the day.  For example, 21 machine guns were recently stolen right out of an LAPD training facility.

But there are cities in California that are in even worse shape than Los Angeles is.  If you go east of Los Angeles about 100 miles, you will come to the city of San Bernardino.  34.6 percent of the residents of San Bernardino are currently living below the poverty line.  Among major U.S. cities, only Detroit has a worse poverty rate.

Heading back to the east coast, the city of Camden, New Jersey is representative of the post-industrial hellholes that you will find all over the mid-Atlantic region and up into New England.

In an extraordinary article entitled “City of Ruins“, Chris Hedges did an amazing job of documenting how bad things have gotten in Camden.  Today it is estimated that the actual rate of unemployment in Camden is somewhere around 30 or 40 percent.  For most young people in Camden, there are very few legitimate opportunities for a better life, so many of them have resorted to selling drugs or selling their bodies in a desperate attempt to survive.

The following is a brief excerpt from “City of Ruins”….

There are perhaps a hundred open-air drug markets, most run by gangs like the Bloods, the Latin Kings, Los Nietos and MS-13. Knots of young men in black leather jackets and baggy sweatshirts sell weed and crack to clients, many of whom drive in from the suburbs. The drug trade is one of the city’s few thriving businesses. A weapon, police say, is never more than a few feet away, usually stashed behind a trash can, in the grass or on a porch.

The era of “American exceptionalism” is over.  We have rejected the things that made us great.  We have forsaken the truth and now we are paying the price.

At this point, we are rapidly becoming a joke to the rest of the world.

You know that things are bad when headlines such as this start showing up in major international publications: “America Must Manage Its Decline“.

Is that what we are going to tell our kids and our grandkids?

Are we going to tell them that we must “manage” our decline?

Most Americans also realize that something is fundamentally wrong.  According to a recent Time Magazine poll, 81 percent of the American people believe that the country is on the wrong track.

So why don’t our cities just spend more money and fix all of these problems?

Well, it is because most of them are drowning in a sea of red ink.  Instead of spending more money, most of them are desperately searching for more places to cut.  If you can believe it, 72 percent of all U.S. cities are laying workers off this year.

The federal government has been pumping massive amounts of money into state and local governments in recent years, but that can’t last much longer.  As I wrote about yesterday, the federal government is in debt up to its eyeballs.  In fact, the national debt has become so large that it threatens to collapse our entire financial system.

Sadly, the cold, hard truth is that we are now going to pay the price for decades of financial foolishness.

We thought that it would be our children and our grandchildren that would pay the price for our financial recklessness, but the reality is that we are going to pay the price too.

America is in a serious state of decline and things are going to get a lot worse in the years to come.

Take advantage of the relative prosperity that we are enjoying now to prepare for the lean years which are ahead.

” Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes in him who sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life ” The words of Jesus in John Ch. 5. God loves you people and desparately desires to have you saved, for he takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from their ways and live. He desires to call you his sons and daughters and have you with him forever. Jesus died on the cross for you as an atoning sacrifice for your sin, a sacrifice acceptable to God because of Christ’s perfect life lived without sin, to satisfy the requirements of God’s law, so that those who would trust in Jesus and repent of their sin would no longer be condemned. He took our punishment for us, and imputed to us his righteousness, so now those who will trust in him will be justified in the sight of God. God’s spirit will not allow me to ease up on you people because theres so much at stake. Please turn from your sin and be saved, because God in his perfect righteousness must judge sin, and because all of us have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, all will be judged, unless they take the path to forgiveness that God has provided for us through Christ’s death on the cross. Only his sacrifice will be sufficient to save you, your own good works will not. Jesus says ” I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO MAN comes to the father except through me. ” Please consider the claims of Christ. Think of your families, think of your kids. If you are wrong you will condemn them along with yourself. Please, I beg you, Make sure you know without a doubt that what you believe is the truth. God makes an incredible promise in his word, that if you seek him with all your heart, he will reveal himself to you. Start in the New Testament and get alone and call out to him and ask him to reveal himself to you in your life. If he makes the promise, he will keep it. But be sincere in your effort to seek him, for he will not be mocked, for as a man sows, so shall he reap. You must humble yourself before your God. Your creator and mine, the God of the Bible, created you for fellowship with him forever. Don’t throw it away for you and your family bacause you would’nt even consider the claims found in the Bible. An eternity in heaven or an eternity in hell are whats at stake here. God so loves you folks, he so loves you.

blah blah, god is not real, never has been, its time for you to wake up and take responsibility fro your own life, instead of letting an imaginary man in the could make all your decisions for you

        Your choice antichrist.

        • A Realist

Even your Pope rides around in a bulletproof bubble, “Christian”. If that’s not evidence enough of your ignorance regarding your inability to accept personal responsibility for your time in this reality, nothing is.

And I will gladly loot your carcass for what I need when the time comes.

      • Gray Lance

Right… God…. the imaginary dude up in the sky… yep. Put your faith in that!! Right up there with believing our government gives a hoot about the 99%.

        • r.bitting

The only thing sadder than the unbeliever who speaks out of ignorance is the Christian who won’t speak out of apathy. Those who, like Esther, were put here for such a time as this… Thats o.k though. As for me and my family we will serve the Lord ( you know, that imaginary dude in the sky ). But nevermind any of that, you go and vote with the 99%, then go and wait for the great pumpki… er, politician to show up. I hear he might arrive in 2012, but only if your sincere.

r.bitting, I love all your posts. These other comments to me are a perfect example of the problem. I am sure you take full responsibility for your life and your actions as I do. Your decisions are based on right and wrong. God does not make any of our decisions! It is called free will. We make our own choices in life and are fully responsible for those choices. What I mean by example of the problem is that the comments are hateful and damning. As if the only people with rights to think how they want are nonbelievers. As for me and my house we will cling to God, store our food and load our guns. Faith does not make us weak, stupid or victims. The greatest warriors in all of history were the Godly.

    • http://lastdayrapture.blogspot.com/ TK

We are not here by chance, We did not evolve from an ape, and We will be held responsible by our creator for our actions.

There is a lot to think about in the above statement, and most folks would rather live as though nothing they did mattered.

Thanks for posting your comments r.bitting.

    • Paul

Yes that’s all very well and good er.. Bitting, but down here on planet earth and unmedicated….

      • r.bitting

The Apostle John said that men would love the darkness and hate the light ( truth ), lest their deeds be exposed, even Jesus himself said that if the world hated me it would hate you as well, as evidenced by the reponses from some the commenters. The Gospel is the most polarizing truth in all of history. It does not bother me that you attack my faith though, I will cling to the promise given in 1 peter 4:14, and I am encouraged to see others who stood up and defended their faith in this post as well. As for the comment using the pope as an example of why our faith is misguided, I find it very interesting that when non-believers face life threatening circumstances, they many times can be found off in a corner on their knees praying ( to whom I ask ). And I think thats great because God often uses hardship to awaken the complacent out of their spiritual apathy. It would benefit you to do a study of the last words of athiests as well. I think you’ll find that at the end of their life, the ones you emulate had a radically different view of the hearafter. You can begin your study with Joseph Stalin, who, just before taking his last breath, held his arm up and made a fist toward heaven and shook it at God ( but wait, he did”nt believe in God ). Unless your trust is in Jesus Christ, your life will end without hope as well. I know you don’t believe that, but would’nt Stalin have mocked it also?

Good article Michael-see what carnage conservative policies do to this great country?

I believe El {Pollo has been saying this for some time about the BRA (banana republic of America) and it becoming like third world places.

    He is of course correct!

Three quotes tell a thinking person all they need to know about the genesis of our problems, and how to get out:

“When men cease to believe in God, they don’t believe in nothing, but **anything**”
    – GK Chesterton

“If there is no God, ****everything*** is permissible.”
    – Fyodor Dostoyevski

“”We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”

    – John Adams, second Pres. of the US (and light years away from Obama and his cronies, czars and corruptocrats

    • Paul

So by that reasoning belief in the god du’jour is all that keeps us from turning into rapists, murderers, cannibals and female impersonators? I think its the opposite. Belief in god seems to have attracted a world of bestial behaviour, in whatever his/her/its name seems to be this week. Societies that aggressively push religious belief on their populations seem to be the ones doing all the killing both historically and right now.

      • r.bitting

Is’nt atheism a belief ” pushed ” on society? And were’nt some of the worst attrocities ever committed orchestrated by atheists? You are trying to cast belief in God in the same light as belief in the tooth fairy, but the true believer has his faith grounded in the evidence of God’s existence as described in Romans ch. 1, as well as other revelation given from God, such as the bible. Hope without a real basis for that hope is a dillusion ” If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most pitiable ” 1 Corinthians 15:19. Would’nt you be better served trying to explain to yourself why YOU believe that you can have an effect without a cause. Something out of nothing, does’nt that take more faith than belief in God? And with a whole lot less evidence. Should’nt YOU explain why Charles Darwin did’nt even buy into his own theory? Should’nt YOU ask yourself, why does man have an ability to know right from wrong and not the animals who operate from instinct, and what the signifigance of that is? And then ask YOURSELF why only man,of all the living things on Earth, cares about seeing justice served when they or others are wronged. So if man cares about right and wrong and cares about justice, and if you are unable to produce the evidence that there is no God, then should’nt YOU be making some signifigant discoveries as a result, such as right and wrong matter to God, justice matters to God, people have been given free will, and ultimately you will answer for your actions? JR is absolutely right.

    Greetings,

I suspect the decline will come a bit slower than you suggest. Having grown up in the Rust Belt, I can tell you exactly how it will go down.

Things that break won’t get fixed. If someone moves away then the house will stay vacant or squatters will move in. Crime will skyrocket. Drug use will skyrocket. Alcohol abuse will skyrocket. City government will limp along from one disaster to another and do so for far longer than anyone could imagine.

Everything falls apart in slow motion.

Wild dogs are easy. I have to contend with mountain lions on my place. At least my 4 dogs look out for me. A few years ago I had a hissing match with a female in one of my fields. We were forty feet apart. A week later a big male (over 180 lb) ran right in front of our car just down the road.
Today in our small town of 3000, about ten wall street protesters showed up on the street. There sure aren’t any wall street types around here and the banks are small. Go figure.

The top 20% of Americans now control 93% of the country’s wealth. But when 70% of the US economy consists of consumer spending, that affluent 20% simply cannot keep the US economy humming along.

For 3 years now, excessive government borrowing and spending has kept the US economy afloat. But at some point, the financial markets will simply seize up due to excessive US government debt, and Americans will finally be forced to accept that the US government cannot borrow its way into economic prosperity.

When that happens, the US stock market will finally collapse under the weight of unpayable government debt and Wall Street flim-flams.

The truth is that we are on the cusp of an economic depression even worse than the 1930s. In the Great Depression of the 1930s, the stock market declined 89% from top to bottom. I think this coming Depression will be even worse.

    • Old Man

Yes, government has borrowed massively to fund wars, tax revenue shortfall (tax cuts and economic downturn), and bailouts.

But it is the private economy – individuals and businesses, who have borrowed twice as much. The federal government can always print more money, but individuals and business must actually repay the debt with interest. Or go bankrupt,or get foreclosed, or get sued. It is the private sector massive debt and inability to repay that is the main reason for sustained severe economic downturn.

As a boy growing up in the inner city of New York during the 60’s and 70’s I marvel at how unaware the public were at the plight of the black and Hispanic populations. For many years we had super high unemployment, street crime, inferior services and drug infestation. When we tried to tell you that these things were happening you told us to shut up and stop being so lazy. According to you, we were lucky to live in the wonderful land of plenty and had no right to complain. Now today all of you are singing the same song we did. It reminds me of that old joke where the Lone Ranger turns to Tanto and says “what do we do now” And Tanto retorts, “Whatchu mean we white man?” “Separate but equal”, you said. Do you remember that?

No black man or Hispanic is surprised by what has happened. Ya’ll elected Obama thinking he would save your sorry behinds. He just made it worse. You can not judge a book by its cover even if its brown. Now ya’ll are calling for togetherness?

OK, Together we must go forward. But you don’t mind if I rub it in a little. We tried to tell you and you would not listen. Everyone knows that you can not tell a white man anything. He knows it all. You did not know that you were the target all the time, not us. They wanted to corrupt your kids and bankrupt your families. They didn’t care about us. Colored people were no real threat.

Now that you know who was and is the real target, Ma and Pa Kettle, are you going to stop watching that TV and listening to their disinformation? Are you going to buy gold and silver instead of buying their crap? Will you keep shopping at their stores buying their Chinese stuff while whining about having no jobs?

You people amaze me. How can you be that dumb? I live in a very socialistic European country. Prices are sky high because there are so many government sanctioned middlemen. Taxes are through the roof. My kids are taught to sing songs in school declaring that all the money is gone. I tell them to ask where did it go? There is no fair market competition here. There is no manufacturing or production here on purpose. Our jobs did not go to China. Half of China lives here. The government does not want any competition so all private enterprise is shut down.

Unemployment is about 50%, retirement is at age 40 and hospitalization is nothing but a death trap. One of the worse countries for this kind of centralized control is the beloved Denmark followed by Portugal, Spain and Italy. For that matter, all of Europe is an economic mess. Soon this will be you in America. Oh yeah, no one has any money either.

My point is, we have told you and told you about these crooks but you refused to listen. Now your only real hope is to buy gold not as a speculative investment but as a means of getting rid of these crooks. (Of course they will try to outlaw its possession in which case store it abroad in Switzerland like they do).

Don’t make me have to say “whatchu mean we white man?” again. Listen this time. http://goldenladyfun.blogspot.com for more info.

    • Mike

Of what benefit is buying gold? You cannot EAT it, so why would you admonish us to buy it? In the coming chaos, no one is going to care if you have gold or not, they are going to want to know where the food is……and if all you have is inedible bricks of gold that no longer have any value….well, duh, figure it out.

      • Mark

Ever hear of the Irish potatoe famine? 1/3 the popluation died. during that time food from ireland was exported …to people that could pay from it. Famine is usually not only a shortage of food. It is shortage of money to pay for it. Use your brain to see thru your shallow argument: you can’t eat paper money either.

Hi Mike, Let me ask you a question. What is the purpose of life? If you are going to die anyway in the end why bother living? For thousands of years man has survived. Why are you so TV’d and movie’d to believe its all going to stop now because a few idiots say so.

I do not worship these nuts. They are a bunch of emotional bullies who get off on making people too afraid to do anything for themselves. These are not gods. These are flawed men.

Get up on your hind legs and fight back. Even a squirrel will kill a man if trapped.

    • Jeremy

Hey, don’t bring that crap to me. I am white, and climbed with my family from having nothing into an upper-middle class lifestyle.

What started first were the moral problems in our society, when people voted politicians into office who promised money for nothing, and assuaged their conscience through goodies (both to the rich and poor). I pleaded with my peers for years, only to get laughed out of the building. Not only with “rich suburbia”, but also with those from the poor inner-city, asking them why they continued to vote for politicians that exploited race and still continued to sell their constituents down the river.

It is not just an American ideal, but a Biblical one, to be responsible for your own actions. There is blame to go around everywhere.

Don’t think that every person that comes from a different situation did not see this coming. I sure as hell did, and now I counsel my peers on how to put their lives together, as I am doing so. Even though the bottom may fall out, we are still responsible for building our lives. And with the power and love of God, we can.

    • Ouida Gabriel

You won’t win over anyone using the race card either. My parents were poor as can be. They never bothered getting off of welfare once they were on it. My family is white.

On the other hand my Mexican American husband’s family bought the American dream. His Grandmother owns successful restaurants, his father retired after 22 years in the Navy, his brother works at Microsoft as a successful artist, my husband works for a company that helps keep America safe – and provides us with enough wages that keeps our family of 8 comfortable, mainly due to our not being obsessed with what others have and being thankful to God for what He blesses us with. This is not a race issue. This is a issue of get off your rear end and do something for yourself. If you want it bad enough then you will find a way to make it happen. The problem is that most people want it given to them rather than work for it.

      • Ouida Gabriel

P.S. Instead of wasting thousands of dollars on college, my husband enlisted in the Navy and left the Navy with the ability to due something that transferred into the job he does now. Smart people know how to make it happen.

    • josh

pat i come here all the time and read the articles no one ever comes off as racist.. until i read your post.

      when you say things like…
“Everyone knows that you can not tell a white man anything. He knows it all.”
      “You people amaze me.”
      “Half of China lives here.”

leads me to believe you are racist and of lower intelligence.

      good job.

  • Jase

All of this hurts my head. It is just incredible that we are going to have to pay for decades of corruption, poor planning, and kicking the can down the road for someone else to pay the bill. Everyone alive, being born, or will be born for decades is going to have to deal with this mess.

It’s sort of like coming home and finding your kids have thrown the party of all parties and you are left with the mess, repairs, drunks, beer cans, filth, and damage. The party is long over, you never enjoyed any of it, but you are responsible for the mess.

Of course the current reality is 10,000x worse.

It is sort of like the occupy wall street situation as well. I totally understand the feelings and where they are coming from, but at the same time what solution is there? It’s not like all of a sudden millions of decent jobs will be available for people.

We’re in exactly the opposite situation where even bastions of relative safety and mediocrity – government jobs from Federal, State, and local governments are being cut. There was a time where most folks in these jobs knew they would never be rich, but the work was stable, the job was as secure as you could expect, and you could plan your life. Not anymore.

We’re in a situation where it is like the snake eating it’s own tail. It’s a vicious cycle where the debt and and lack of revenue causes more job loss, which reduces taxes and spending, where more folks fall under, so they cut more and more, and even more people lose their livelihood.

I have been and I think many people who read this blog have been in survival and planning mode for quite some time.

It’s just this feeling where we’re stumbling around waiting for that trigger event – massive rioting, a huge earthquake on the west coast, Iran or some other country setting off a dirty bomb or nuclear weapon in the middle east – something that just finally shakes a large portion of the population even more awake to what we are all facing.

Even without a massive trigger event we have more and more people losing their jobs and burning through resources and this mass of humanity will hit a point where their basic needs of food, water, shelter, are not close to being met and they are just going to lash out at whatever is closest.

The only real solution I see besides trying to kick the can down the road another few years is to just default and suffer the consequences. Go backwards and remember what it was like to farm, raise animals, manufacture, and have society support each other.

Problem here is once again the mass of humanity. There are just way, way too many people on this earth to be able to sustain the current population, much less the expected population explosion that when things go to crap the amount of people who will be exterminated for countless reasons will be incredible.

Sometimes I think that is really the goal and end result. Massive population control, whether it is from a biblical, NWO, nature (virus/disease/no food-resources) or just man’s innate nature to kill one another.

Let me remind you – for some 20 years, Americans worship two gods. One is their favorite organized religion god. There other is a god called FICO. FICO, of course, is a score number for ‘credit worthiness’. The higher the score, the more Americans borrow money, the more credit cards they use.

People by the millions routinely got into $20,000 credit card debt, $20-30,000 car debt, and ten times that with mortgages.

Maximum debt with minimum monthly payment is the pervasive culture. Nobody bothered to check that no other country citizens got to be that crazy.

Why do people do this? Somehow, they thought they can get away with it, like the Federal Reserve, who can print money to infinity. But the Fed did not sign a debt contract with anybody. People did.

That is the core of the problem. No need to blame anything else.

  • nuf

Re: “According to a recent Time Magazine poll, 81 percent of the American people believe that the country is on the wrong track”.

Hate to be the one to inform the American public, but the country is not on the WRONG track… it is OFF the track – and sailing thru thin air to the bottom of the ravine.

  • William

While admittedly the current form of our representative democracy really presents scant choice for change, the voters still get what they vote for. Be SURE to reelect the 533 (535 less Paul and his son) IDIOTS who have created this nightmare for America. One small ray of hope is that the OWS movement will be transformed into political power at the polls. Young people can change this corrupt system by voting in Nov of 2012.

    • knightowl77

OWS is not the answer. Those calling for more regulation which means bigger government will only grow the mess we are in…

We need less Gov’t not more. There is not a single Federal program that is even remotely efficient. 75% of the Federal programs out there are not even constitutional, let alone effective. Go Ron Paul!

    • Mike

what a common shill you are! after decades of proof that “voting” doesn’t fix anything, you actually expect us to go off like mindless zombies to vote…again? Hoping that THIS time, yeah, this time things will be different. Are you insane? because what you are advocating, ie, voting every four years in the hope that it will be different this time, is the very definition of insanity. Voting implies consent, moron. I DO NOT CONSENT. It appears that you do.

      • bsmsnudge

You are right as Emma Goldman observed “if voting changed anything it would be illegal”

  • Ken Nohe

What is amazing is not the decline itself. Societies do go up and down and even the US did have some period of relative decline in the past, at least in some areas as part of it’s “constructive destruction” economic model. But this time seems different and above all the speed and the scope of the decline of the American “downtown” is astonishing.
A year ago, I stopped over in the center of Paris, Texas. Beautiful city square but completely empty on a Friday afternoon. Clean facades, no broken window but not one soul around! Worse, my car was the only one parked in the square!
Where is the buzz gone? If the answer is at the mall and at church on Sunday, then God help us all! To rebuild cities even in the best of times would be a long and arduous task, to do it now, may be next to impossible.

Our children will be forced to live in the society we create for them. But the US government will inflate away its debt. The Fed has already printed trillion of dollars with nothing to back them up. Most likely it will create the trillions necessary to stabilize the world’s banking system after Greece defaults. It’s going to get very ugly in America and around the world/

But, on the overall topic, it is going to get a lot worse, everywhere. Millions of people are one month’s expenses away from living in the streets. The government has plans to deal with the problem.

You should see the video of Alex Jones and Gerald Celenta the 21st century war Gerald said in the film he thought the men and women of the United States whould in other words stop being the sheeple but instead we are spoiled and he sure is right. I sit here at work and shake my head people just have no clue and I try to show them the truth of what is going on and they just don’t care. Beyond me!!!

  • Deputy

Thanks for all the great information. I have been reading with great interest for many months now and wanted to post comments but never felt I could add to what has been already stated.

This morning is different, I may not add much but I do want to add too.

I have been a pastor for over 30 years and a Deputy for 10. I seldom make the statement anymore that “I have seen it all”. I can verify that attendance and giving are down throughout the religious community. I pastor a very conservative Baptist church in a small community and as times have gotten worse it seems the first to go is the support of the Lord’s work. No, I don’t find it a conflict of interest to pastor and be a deputy, both provide great opportunities to minister to peoples needs. I find that way to many people are down on law enforcement and it is partly officers who are to blame. I also find that usually those who are down on officers are those who have broken the law and want to blame the police who are most often just doing their job. I know that there are a some bad apples out there, tell me a profession where there is not.

On to the current conditions in our community. I work in a county that spans over 1500 square miles. In the past year even though the economy is not as bad as some, we have seen a considerable increase in crime. Where we seldom see even one armed robbery a year we have seen 10 in the past two months. Family violence, burglary and theft have increased to the point that our deputies can’t keep up. Our commissioners refuse to allow the sheriff to hire additional deputies and the increase in crime continues. We have not just had a rash of copper, aluminum and metal theft but it has gotten so out of hand that we spend valuable time tied up investigating these instead of being pro-active in other crimes. Home burglaries are taking place at an alarming rate and by those who are either very desperate, very hungry or very stupid. Many of these are taking place while the home owners are present and in bed.

It is scary, and I am in law enforcement. I can only imagine what it must be like for citizens. Most are truly unaware of what is going on out here. I wish I had statistics for these crimes, I am not privy to that information, but I can give you a birds eye view.

One last note of interest from someone in the field. The system is broke, criminals do truly have the advantage most of the time so it seems. Our hands are so tied, and the criminal knows it Often we literally are not finished with the paperwork before the criminal has bailed out and are back committing crimes. Not complaining, just wish that citizens would try to put themselves in our place. How many people out there would put them self in front of a gun for under 30,000 a year. Knowing that we have committed to protect the public. There are some really great officers out here, don’t judge us all the same, we don’t judge you all the same.

My desire is to honor the Lord my God first and foremost. If I can do that, the rest will come in time

    • Michael

      Deputy:

That is a really great comment, and it is really good to get a firsthand report from someone on the front lines.

I think what you have shared should be heard by as many people as possible. Things truly are starting to come apart.

      Michael

      • Scott

I always find it troubling when a policeman calls himself “law enforcement” and says he’s “just doing his job.” I am also disturbed when a policeman refers to non-policemen as “citizens.” Newsflash: you are a citizen, too. You are not above us, and you are not better than us. You are not “special.” You are a public servant, and you serve…

        …wait for it…

        The taxpayer.

As for why people hate the police, it’s because the police are agents of the State, and they enforce Unconstitutional laws. That, and taze the elderly, shoot the unarmed in the back, etc.

There is a littany of stories at hand as to why people hate falsely so-called “law enforcement.” The hatred is well-deserved, IMHO.

Once the collapse happens, the public at large will treat those wearing a badge as American GI’s treated Germans found wearing an SS uniform in 1945.

        • Jeremy

So what do we do, get rid of law enforcement? If not, what are your proposals as to how law enforcement can better serve the public? How can they be more just and discerning (ie not tazing the elderly)?

        • Highspeed

Sounds like you just got out of lock-up. I have seen a few rogue cops in my 53 years, I’ve even done a few ride alongs. Most of them are hard working decent people who put up with more junk in one day than you put up with in a month of sundays. When the economy does fall apart, I’d rather have him on my side than I would a cop-hater.

        • knightowl77

Welllll as retired “Law Enforcement” what is your answer? No police? Citizen vigilantes?
          Troops in the street…

It is either cops or chaos…Yea there are abuses, but what is your alternative???

        • Deputy

Scott, I would move to a location where the police are not so terrible. I would also move as fast as possible before someone causes you to have a bad attitude about life and the people in America. If you are ever in east Texas I will gladly serve you by protecting you and your family if i’m needed, yes, even if I am hated I will do my best. Not all people are bad but there is generally a few bad in every walk of life.

    • David M

Deputy, one of the things turning law abiding citizens away from the police is the BS revenue generation going on. I have two friends who got tickets for no seat belts in the last two years. Well, the caveat is they just pulled away from parking and were IN the process of putting them on. Many people do this.

I got a ticket because I didn’t stop all the way as I turned right onto a lane that merges onto a freeway. Perfectly safe, no traffic near me.

      BS revenue generation tickets.

Anyhow, no argument from me on where crime is headed. Were broke and we lost our moral compass.

How I hate Hollywood and the garbage they put out. I’m gen X’er. I think that’s the line where things started to degrade. Anything afterwards and no hope for most of them.

      David M

    • Christy

Your not alone, you maintain the streets where our homes are, Soldiers work to defend as well. Most paid under $30,000 a year too. However, I love serving, it has given me the most pride of any profession.

  • Kevin

You can blame urban decay mostly on the people who moved out to suburbia into their Cape cods and McMansions, taking their income taxes with them. The only people who remained in the cities were the poor, from whom city governments could not extract enough income taxes to fuel the basic needs of a city, like good roads, schools, policing, street lights, etc. Only the inevitable skyrocketing of gas prices will cause these suburbanites and exurbanites to vacate their mini-palaces out in the middle of nowhere and move back to the city where all non-farmers/ranchers belong.

  • Deputy

I guess it would help to tell my general location… I’m in the east Texas area.

  • knightowl77

In a world that the Boomer generation exploited for everything it could, it will soon become apparent that there is no such thing as “a free lunch”. Someone somewhere has to pay for the excesses that we have foolishly indulged in. We have “robbed Peter to pay Paul” and Peter has no more money to give. So Peter is destitute and Paul is angry that the free ride is over.

It is about to get as Alice might say, “Curiouser and curiouser”….

May the Lord be with you in the days ahead.

  • Gerry Evans

Yes your right. This country is in decline but it’s the peoples own fault. WE have grown fat and LAZY. So lazy we lack the fortitude to get off our fat asses and do something to take corrective action on our own. The “wild dogs” for example. Why don’t these people that carry golf (?) clubs get pepper spray and use on the use on these animals? Why don’t they get a group togeather and catch them and take them out and shoot them? Why do the people who are being terrorized by these dogs sit on their fat asses and whine to the city to come get them. What happened to ‘use your own effort’ to correct a problem attitude this nation use to have? Yes we can all sit around and whine for the government to get us out of a problem or we can get off our lazy bum asses and do it our self. Every problem has a simple solution. All we have to do is do it…

    • Co-creater

I agree Gerry (not necessarily about shooting dogs but about taking personal responsibility instead of expecting big daddy – whatever that may be – to do it for us). This applies to the whole fiat currency house of cards as well. If that system of exchange falls apart, which looks likely, does this mean farmers all of a sudden forget how to grow food? Truckers forget how to transport it? Grocers forget how to operate a store? Why are we so afraid of losing a system that has caused so much misery for so many for so long? We need to clear the shit from our own brains, start cooperating with each other, and stop cooperating with the people and systems that have never had our best interests at heart.

    • BenjiK

Although I agree with your sentiment, the problem is we are living in a PC hell where any retaliation or action subsequently results in either an arrest or a lawsuit. We see it everyday: Federal charges brought against a man for shooting a grizzly bear who broke into his home, a Walgreens employee with a gun fired for thwarting a robbery, and the list goes on and on. So that’s the quagmire, do we sit idly by and let packs of feral dogs roam our streets, or do we take action, face criminal charges of animal cruelty and lawsuits by animal-rights groups?

It doesn’t help that the “City of Ruins” has a very corrupt police force, which only adds to its woes. See: http://www.lewrockwell.com/grigg/grigg-w192.html

    Excerpts:
“The Camden Police Department – which recently laid off 167 of its 360 officers – has long been a major source of crime, rather than a deterrent to the same.”

“At the time of Chief Hill’s resignation, a federal grand jury was investigating allegations that a clique of corrupt Camden police officers had operated a shakedown racket targeting local cocaine dealers, thereby helping the market prosper in exchange for a cut of the proceeds. One of the first results of that inquiry was an increased attrition rate for the Camden PD as about one-ninth of its force of about 460 officers suddenly retired, claimed their pensions, and – perhaps most importantly – sealed their personnel files.”

“The federal indictment against {Detective Dan] Morris’s subordinates describes their Special Operations unit as a criminal conspiracy that planted evidence to justify false arrests, routinely lied about the quantity of narcotics seized in raids in order to “expose the arrestees to greater penalties,” regularly bartered drugs for sundry favors, and made a habit of stealing money and drugs. Public exposure of the crimes committed by Morris and his little street gang led to the dismissal of 185 drug cases, and the release of dozens of people who had been wrongfully imprisoned.”

Big truck gone, now I drive the 4-cylinder and do my own maintenance. Cut insurace from $2200 down to $200. Cable TV cancelled, TV sold. Data plan cancelled, iPhone gone, just using flip now with no text. House refi’ed to cut interest rate, save money.

The HELOC worries me. Interest rate is low but the balance is huge, not sure what to do. I just keep making my payments, never missing, and whittling away at it.

      Roger,
Don’t be deceived. Ron Paul is NOT the way out. While I am sure that he would work hard and do his best, not he or any other politician can “fix” the results of decades of irresponsible spending, corruption and greed in high places, and an absence of the fear of the Lord in this nation. Please vote according to your conscience, but put your hope and trust in God—not in the President of the United States.

God, though, does move through the American political process to accomplish His purposes. He will use the structures created by men to do this.

The big question is which purpose does God want to accomplish in us?

  • Rowell

I just had this brought to my attention, and thought to myself “oh boy, they’re getting ready to stick it to us again”. Here’s the quote I read:

“This story from Bloomberg just hit the wires this morning. Bank of America is shifting derivatives in its Merrill investment banking unit to its depository arm, which has access to the Fed discount window and is protected by the FDIC.

“This means that the investment bank’s European derivatives exposure is now backstopped by U.S. taxpayers. Bank of America didn’t get regulatory approval to do this, they just did it at the request of frightened counterparties. Now the Fed and the FDIC are fighting as to whether this was sound. The Fed wants to “give relief” to the bank holding company, which is under heavy pressure.

“This is a direct transfer of risk to the taxpayer done by the bank without approval by regulators and without public input. You will also read below that JP Morgan is apparently doing the same thing with $79 trillion of notional derivatives guaranteed by the FDIC and Federal Reserve.

“What this means for you is that when Europe finally implodes and banks fail, U.S. taxpayers will hold the bag for trillions in CDS insurance contracts sold by Bank of America and JP Morgan. Even worse, the total exposure is unknown because Wall Street successfully lobbied during Dodd-Frank passage so that no central exchange would exist keeping track of net derivative exposure.

“This is a recipe for Armageddon. Bernanke is absolutely insane. No wonder Geithner has been hopping all over Europe begging and cajoling leaders to put together a massive bailout of troubled banks. His worst nightmare is Eurozone bank defaults leading to the collapse of the large U.S. banks who have been happily selling default insurance on European banks since the crisis began.”

The actualy article can be found here: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-10-18/bofa-said-to-split-regulators-over-moving-merrill-derivatives-to-bank-unit.html

Predictions can come sooner then we expect. Some years ago, someone projected that student loan debt would reach a trillion by 2020. The most important qualification for a “musical chairs”
President of the United States is that she/he must be
dedicated to the goal of not only destroying all life on
earth today, but also must swear to do everything possible
to prevent ANY life from EVER coming back to planet earth.

“But”, you say, “that can’t possibly be true, for, by
definition, all presidential candidates are good, honest,
dedicated servants of the citizens and are perfectly sane and rational. Otherwise they never would have been nominated to represent their branch of the Musical Chairs political party”.

Well, then, consider this perfect plan to get the USA out
of this depression and tell us that it is any more crazy
than the recent policies of our government in simply
printing all the trainloads of dollars needed to conduct
the Dominionist Empire wars on everything and everybody in the whole wide world…

Much as Franklin Delano Roostervelt tried, he couldn’t get
us out of the previous Big Depression with the Republicans
fighting him all the way until he plotted with Winston
Churchill to get us into the Big War – and it worked! A few useless young men died, but that was no big deal, because they had no civilian jobs before enlisting and could not pay taxes for the rich to squander.

With that model at hand, what we need now is a Great Big
War, not just the current little piss-ant things that don’t even make good headlines.

But who should we start a war with? Well, to keep them from shooting back and possibly ruining a debutante party, the war should be with that evil country called “Nobody”.

As every old person knows and every young person should
learn, when that original war machine was cranked up, they
built far too many big guns and tanks and stuff. The
surplus was dumped into the ocean.

In a war with “Nobody”, all of that beautiful killing
machinery would be surplus, so all of it could be dumped.

So, there you have it folks. The perfect plan to put the
citizens back to work and get the USA out of this depression.

Yes, it will be here sooner than most think. We are already in the early stages of III.

Ron Paul is a lifetime politician from a small district in Texas. If he was a real threat to the big boys he would have been run out of office many years ago. He and his also masonic son are damned Judas goats, sometimes called “controlled opposition.” But Americans have a “Sesame Street” attention span. Many have already forgotten that Paul the elder took the people’s money and coped out in the last presidential election a la Ross Perot years before him (another Texas fake).

It is my belief that something like 95% of the human race walk around Planet Earth with their heads up their butts and this is how they die—never knowing what the hell is really going on.
Ron Paul talks about “getting rid of the Federal Reserve,” I mean, anybody who was not part of the freemason/bankster system and said he wants to “get rid of the Federal Reserve”, wouldn’t last more than a week (remember JFK, James Garfield, and Abe Lincoln?). He’d be assassinated so fast; a real man (not a phony puppet politician) would be assassinated so fast he wouldn’t know what hit him. In fact he’d have to get a security team, picked by himself, and hide somewhere else, while he took over. And Ron Paul supports the “offical lie” of 9-11. That was my litmus test that he is just another Ross Perot false opposition leader in the pockets of the banksters. Use your common sense. The electoral process is kabuki theater. Major media and PR scoundrels manipulate the public mind. Everything is pre-scripted and pre-packaged. Secrecy and back room deals substitute for a free, fair and open process. Candidates are pre-selected. Big money owns them. Key outcomes are predetermined. Duopoly power serves the privileged. Voters get the best democracy money can buy. Horse race journalism and trivia substitute for addressing real issues fairly, fully, and accurately. The 1913 Federal Reserve Act let powerful bankers usurp America’s money system in violation of the Constitution’s Article I, Section 8, giving only Congress the power to “coin Money (and) regulate the Value thereof….” Thereafter, they victimized working Americans by using money, credit and debt for private self-enrichment by bankrolling and colluding with Congress and administrations to implement laws favoring them. Very few people, in this present day, widely read or think critically (most probably due to our modern-day TV). And very few people dig deeply into the matters which concern this country. The News Media is the MAIN SOURCE of information to most people in the world today. People don’t want to take the time or effort to find out the truth for themselves, so they put their trust in the Government Officials and the News Media, which distorts and withholds the truth and is the #1 avenue that this DECEPTION filters through! 13 Illuminati/banking families have been milking us for centuries. We are quite literally their “cattle” i.e. goyim.Wars are started to increase the debt and cull the herd. The goal is to cull the herd to 500 million and chip the remnant. These families and their henchmen own 80% of the world’s wealth and do nothing useful yet believe the impoverished majority are parasites. If our governments weren’t run by their lackeys, they would protect the people and let these “oligarchic families” twist in the wind. This whole situation with the Illuminati is a spiritual battle.. Light versus Darkness… Those who work in Darkness fear the Light more than anything. The whole ideal of Spiritual Law is to make Light manifest. In other words “expose the unfruitful works of darkness…” (Eph 5:11).In an election dynamic controlled by a two party system in which both parties represent the top 1% or less of global elitists, and not the people, voting on the national level is hardly meaningful or effective. Therefore, regardless of how we vote, the system is designed to continue forward in the construction of a surveillance society. Our government today is NOT elected by the people. Not as long as the false left/right paradigm remains. Under the Patriot Act the president has the right to detain ANYONE weither law abiding or not . They can detain you for absolutely nothing with no charges or even being a suspect. They can hold you for ever without any being done. The U.S.A. is already under the NWO and is a full blown police state. They are just waiting for the “right major crises” (as David Rockefeller puts it) to enact all these Draconian laws that have already been passed under the noses of the American people. Some of these laws were passed as far back as the Woodrow Wilson administration, such as the law against citizens possessing gold or silver once the excrement hits the fan and Marshall Law goes into effect. The Hegalian Dialect: Control thru duality. Guide and manage a conflict and chaos so both sides have the same destination(order). It symbolizes a pyramid meanig left thesis vs. right thesis =middle thesis. 1 leads to 2 leads to 3.The 3rd is possible because of and NOT insipit of the 2 opposing sides. The whole world has been colonized, mentally, spiritually and physically by the Rothschild central banking cartel. “Terrorism” is artificially created as a pretext to impose this physical bondage on humanity. Just yesterday, the US Chief of Staff said the Pakistan ISI is behind attacks on Americans in Afghanistan. Who is funding the ISI? The CIA and MI-6. Who funding the CIA and MI-6? The central banking cartel. Any politician (Ron Paul, etc), president who would seriously consider or try to create debt free paper script (money) by using the treasury would end up with a bullet in the head. Lincoln ended up with a bullet from Booth (banking cartel minion) for creating and using usury free American Greenbacks ($449,338,902 in total). Kennedy got his head blown off in Dallas for having the US treasury print US Dollar Treasury Notes (debt free public US Treasury Notes and not usury, private Federal Reserve Notes). As an apostate Christian nation, America is ripe for destruction. Defeat, humiliation and abuse by alien armies are on the progressive list of judgments God promises to bring upon nations that have turned from Him (Dt 8:all; 28:15ff; Ps 9:17). The American church does not know how to repent; it has so thoroughly forsaken God and his Word. They are 501c3 government yoked WARMONGERS. Jesus Christ commanded His followers to “love not the world” and to “love their enemies” not join the banker owned military and fight in their STAGED wars. Impeach your leaders. They are behind 9-11, oklahoma city bombings, the first world trade center bombings ten years earlier, Pearl Harbour, Boston Tea Party, and almost every other event which kicked off a major war or crisis.CNN, FOX and every news agency get their news from the Associated Press and Reuters, owned by…..Rothchilds

There is no fuel shortage, just a huge stockpile of hidden oils and gasses being hoarded by the Rockefellers and Rothchilds. They want you to buy big SUV’s and guzzle gas to make it look like it was YOUR fault we seem to have no natural resources. Yet Bush voted against emission controls! WHY? Now you are catching on. Not to mention that Ford, Chrysler, GM and so on are subsidiaries of Standard Oil, which is owned by Rockefellers. Are you seeing a pattern yet? Stop buying records and movies. They are ALL owned by illuminati. RCA, Columbia, Motown records are subsidiaries of Zodiac Productions, subsidiary of Brennar Enterprises, subsidiary of Chase Manhattan Bank, subsidiary of Standard Oil, subsidiary of Lords of London owned by Rothchilds. you get the point. Columbia, paramount, MGM etc. can all be traced up different routes to the same owning source. check it out. Illegal alien migration into the United States costs American taxpayers $346 billion annually reported by the National Research Council. While employers of illegal aliens rake-in billions of dollars, the US citizens subsidize what may be called organized “Slavery in 21st Century America.”
While Congress facilitates outsourcing, insourcing and offshoring of American jobs by the thousands weekly, that same Congress imports 182,000 legal immigrant monthly who need jobs. Another estimated 100,000 illegal aliens arrive each month without jobs. All those immigrants seize jobs from American citizens at slave wagesThey don’t pay any income taxes at all, either working for cash or stealing a social security # then claiming Maximum dependants. They are cheating LAWFUL business owners by helping the low lives who employ them to circumnavigate the need to pay social security taxes, payroll taxes and unemployment taxes.(just to name a few ways the taxes don’t get paid)The Rothschilds were aggressively involved with the slave trade from Africa, importing slaves to North and South America as well as the Caribbean. They were very careful not to import Blacks from the eastern areas of Ethiopia or Sudan where the descendents of Solomon were located, instead concentrating on western and central Africa for the slave populations. These areas had the pure mixture of Anunnaki and simian genetics, and the programming desirable for the Illuminati agenda.

The Rothschilds decided that splitting the United States colonies would double their profits. So they politically created, and financially supported, the Civil War. The Civil War was actually a global ceremonial ritual to bring slavery to its next level. This war allowed the North to win, and publicly abolish slavery. The best slaves are the ones who do not realize that they are slaves. This alleviates rebellion and resistance
Since the Civil War, there have been other staged wars that entrenched the trend toward globalization. The Spanish-American War of 1898-1899 acquired more land for the American Illuminati, placing a greater portion of the Earth’s surface under American jurisdiction. World War I was designed to change the map of Europe as well as test germ and chemical warfare technology for future use. This coincided with the worldwide influenza outbreak designed to reduce the global population, making control easier. World War I also laid the foundation for the German role in the next war.

World War II was a test of the final globalization and extermination projects. It was also designed to test mind-control machinations; to test the use of fluoride which deadens brain activity and slows resistance to authority; to experiment with slave labor camps and study the development of resistance; and to teach the masses to spy and report on one another.
Why does a “loving Creator” allow these things to happen: A: Because the sins of this world are stacked up into the heavens, and there is no REPENTANCE!

Frankly Madmax isn’t too bad is they at least leave the farming and manufacturing communities alone and target megacorp type instead

@HegelsDialectic. Can it. You’re the guys who have legal access to guns where many parts of the world we cannot even see on except in the cops’ hands and you complain here on the web? In this part of the world, even a differing thought pattern as detected by the EMF/ELF detectors could get a squad car to ‘check things’ out. You have GUNS so what the hell are you tralking about when revolution is needed.

    • Christy

I am very intrigued by your commentary. I have recently ran across posts and videos of this Illuminati. I having served in the military, most assuredly believe in many conspiracy theories, lack of actual true facts delivered to the US Americans. We walk around wow is me and only me mentality not attempting to see the larger picture. I would love to read more of your writings @HegelsDialectic

      • http://obbop.wordpress.com/ Obbop

Some educated folks with access to what are supposed to be accurate facts and figures declare that the world’s 500 wealthiest people possess as much wealth as fully one half of the world’s lowest income/poorest population.

    • Wormius

      You’ve been doing your homework!

You mentioned the Masons, but many people dismiss their reference because they don’t understand the Masons and their spin off societies are tools, much like your average human consumer. They have their own world wide hidden/break-away society with their own internal laws and guidelines, ranks (which are circumvented by the elite), that’s what makes their corruption much more useful and dangerous. In order for a minority to gain control of a majority of the assets of a civilization, it cannot control and manipulate the population(s) over large distances without first developing and maintaining a network of mostly blind fanatical supporters.

I agree that just because all of this is being allowed to occur, unimpeded, is not proof that a creator of good intent does not exist. There is absolutely no repentance in this world at this time.

As someone who still doesn’t know exactly what to believe in, the one thing I have found is that the concept of adhering to morality is not to enslave, but to liberate. That concept is the only answer to making ANY government or society function, be it communist, capitalist, or any other “ist”.

Great post! In my last 5 years of reading the ‘alternative press’ this is the best post I’ve read.

Having said that, I do sincerely hope you are wrong about Ron Paul – it’s my opinion that while Ron P. seeks to become President he is not a threat to the power elite and therefore can be tolerated. However, should he be elected then that’s different story.

      HegelsDialectic,
Your negativity is like a stinky wet blanket. Never forget that the malware that has hijacked your computer is absolutely dependent on the very same technology that you are using. So what do you do when your operating system is now used by the malware to find and destroy your priceless files, it no longer responds to your commands, and doesn’t even register your keyboard entries? What do you do when your computer won’t even reset or power down when you press the button?

You PULL THE PLUG, wait a bit, plug it back in, reboot to a floppy (or CD), reformat your C-drive, and re-install a new operating system. Since you had the foresight to keep your personal files on the D-drive, you suffer mostly just inconvenience and little permanent loss.

So, Hegels, stop bitching like an old lady and just pull the plug. The sooner the better.

  • brant

Packs of wild dogs?? Shoot them..

They need to get rid of Wallmart and start building their communities from the ground up.
Screw the politicians. Dont even pay attention to what they say. Elect a community leader, you know like a tribal spokes person….. Trade among yourselves, cut out the politicians and big business. That is the only way…

  • CitznKate

Looks like in some places it’s about time for “Neighborhood Watch On Steroids.” Folks in communities with problems like some of the ones described need to figure out that they are on their own. It makes no sense to wish for a bankrupt local government to take care of problems while a town or neighborhood disintegrates into a dark, chaotic place frequented by packs of wild carnivores, desperate thieves, and predatory gangs. Who are the real stakeholders? That’s right: the citizens. Time for citizens to take ownership of some issues and step up to the plate.

The churches might be a good place to start gathering people and sorting out just what can be done, locally, by the people themselves.

It is understandable that church attendance and church giving could be taking a hit because of the economic situation. I would purport that people who have more time than money may be willing to do something for their town or their neighborhood, to make it a better place, even if they are of severely limited means. They might just shrug if asked to give money for a church building fund, a new Sunday school curriculum, or for foreign missions, but what if they could give of their time to help meet, head-on, a problem that’s right there on their street?

If calling for the “authorities” to take matters in hand has been a waste of time, and if the local constabulary are really as beleaguered as they seem to be, citizen groups may not need to worry much about getting into some sort of trouble for taking matters into their own hands. This is true especially if the sorts of activities contemplated are mostly of a practical nature.

An example would be, ensuring that there is light on a given street for a certain period after dusk each night. Problem: the street is dark. Solution: lights. City street lights are not the only lights and creativity is called for. Car headlights? Gas-powered generator to run a few LED lights? Tiki torches? I’m just kidding about the torches, but honestly it is way past time to learn to think outside the box, here.

Now, requesting anyone’s permission to eliminate a pack of wild dogs would be foolish. That would just wake up the Red Tape Machine and before you knew it PETA would be there waving signs and having candlelight vigils. An air rifle (a good one) is very effective in the hands of a good marksman and it has a very light report, nothing like a .22 rifle. Again, problem: packs of dangerous wild dogs threatening our young. Solution: eliminate wild dogs by whatever means can be employed without getting arrested, and apologize to PETA later.

Where there is life, there is hope.

    Cheers,
    Kate

  • Bankruns and unrest

My wife was at the bank friday, standing in line were two military suits and speaking quietly amoungst themselves, my wife being somewhat nosey was listening carefully. She came home with tears in her eyes and told me what she heard. I believe her to be truthful, she doesnt lie about such things. She over heard the two military men discussing a economic collapse, and one had said the other, I dont know what all these people are depositing money for, it’s soon going to be over. My wife said she struggeled hard to listen carefully so as not to imagine anything. The one replied to the other that this thing is falling hard, and by next year bank runs and civil unrest will be comen place. My wife is still very upset, I yry to tell her it will be alright, but I hate to lie to her.

A friend attends a mega-church led by a senior pastor whose books are best-sellers and who is extremely well connected. She told me he has begun speaking about how he believes a plague is coming our way. I have been saying for the past year to close friends that it is obvious the only solution for the upper echelon is to eliminate some of us. I don’t say that because it’s what I believe is right. I say it because it is what I would do if I were a sociopathic elitist to whom another human life means nothing.

I have nothing against this senior pastor but I don’t trust him. I love the Lord but some of these successful church leaders I can just imagine saying to us on their programs, in a quaint southern accent maybe, “..now you know that God only wants good for you. He wants your family to thrive, to be fed and clothed, so why wouldn’t he want you to get a chip implanted under your skin, it’s just your body not your soul or your spirit…”

I can’t truly trust anybody. I trust in Christ alone. Even people who say they are believers might be working for the other side.

I hear this same story last year, who wrote this ? ? Someone who’s passing around a story ! ! As I read this I wondered who’s telling this same bank story a year later. Are there fear mongers out that !????? Obvious we are in trouble, but no fake stories ! !

The simple fact of the matter is as a nation we have been brainwashed into thinking that we are not exceptional by none other than our elected politicians. Look at the absurdity being report in the news recently. Students being suspended for wearing clothing adorned with the US Flag. Homeowners being ordered to take down their flags by homeowner associations. People on US soil flying foreign flags above the US flag on flag poles. Schools teaching revisionist history which describe early Americans and our founding fathers as evil people. There is literally a fight on for the very soul of Americans, and it is a fight we cannot afford to lose. It is an imperative that as Americans we reconnect with our culture. That culture passed on to us by early Americans and the Founders which made us a very bright beacon of light in a very dark world.

You are absolutely right about Ron Paul’s life no being worth a plug nickel if he tried to get rid of the fed..like JFK, GARFIELD AND LINCOLN. The thing you are not aware of is that he is totally aware of the risk if he were to win the 2012 election..also, Ron Paul is not a Mason and he does not buy into the 9/11 government lie. He has stated such and wanted and tried in congress to get a REAL investigation…but the bought and paid for Congress members wouldn’t sign onto his legislation…He’s been bucking the system and the system’s people for 20+ yrs.. I think he is much more honest than any of the other candidates… furthermore, there are laws with regard to money collected for campaigns. The candidates cannot keep that money for themselves.. so I agree with a large portion of what you said, although, some of it sounds very familiar like a heard someone speak many of your talking points, however they were good and truthful issues that do need pointing out..but I for one have to vote my conscience..RON PAUL

The people in Japan are exposed to high levels of radiation and many wish to leave. Would it work if somehow we could ask them (as a life line) to live in places like Detroit. A place to start over and build (within our codes) and clean up the area. I’m talking hundreds of thousands of people who value education, the environment, have discipline & self-control. Most of them know English and would bring a great work ethic with them. Some towns have a Little China- I could see a “Western Tokyo”. They are not ones to expect handouts from the government; they would want to make their own way. I imagine any place they settled would be improved. They need help. We need more people who are willing & able to make a difference. That doesn’t seem to be us.

I have never heard a more openly twisted bunch of nonsensical bologna in my life. You obviously are a mouth piece for the Globalists who are so afraid of Ron getting the Oval office and restoring our Constitutionally based Republic. Give people a bunch of obvious truth and then tell them a bunch of lies about the person who they themselves fear getting into office as their tool. Wrong fella, fella. I can see where Perry, Romney, Cain, Santorum, and Michele B would sell out to them, but not Ron Paul.

You are a tool fool!!!!!! Propagandist idiot!!! Most of what you said about the Globalists such a the Rothschild is right on, but you are completely and absolutely wrong about Ron Paul. I know him, a very good friend of mine works for his office. And has worked for Rand. Have you ever sit down with him and talked to him face 2 face? I have and you are like ia said absolutely wrong about him. You need to get the facts straight about Ron.

I’ve enjoyed reading the posts, obviously written by people who are knowledgeable and intelligent. Are you aware of Agenda 21? If not, the information is readily available on the net. It is the U.N. plan for the 21st century written at Rio in 1993 and agreed to by almost every country on the planet. Basically, the program is to return the world to the state it was in during the 1300’s, when things were “sustainable.” Everything that is happening is moving us in that direction. The conlusion is inevitable that all of this is a grand scheme.

Pat Buchanan’s latest, from October 18:
    A.D. 2041—End of White America?

Of course the “white” percentage is inflated by those who are listed in Census as white but are far from it. In fact not just by voting patterns either but by petition to government, including universities. I would suggest White Christians at about the 50% mark currently and as the so-called “Greatest Generation” disappears it may be 40%.

You will NOT vote your way out of this.

“I was actively discriminating against whites. While selecting college students for officer candidate school, I routinely turned down long lines of qualified white males to save room for blacks. I denied whites interviews. Every few months I threw stacks of their resumes into the trash.”

One observation: we are a first world nation turning into a third world nation. We then get the worst of both worlds. A (what used to be) a first rate infrastructure supported by high expenses and high taxes, and now that certain underpinnings are dropping out, like a middle class that supports high taxes and high expenses, the infrastructure is collapsing. and we do not have time to adjust.

A third world nation is “adjusted” in a number of ways to its low tax, low public services mode of existence. House are built with big walls around them. The cost of protection is taken up in the expense of building a wall around ones house. In the US it is expected that high walls around a house are not needed as the police do their task.

Now we have a situation where the public services are falling apart and the we are still paying for the high expenses and also having to build walls (buy guns) or dig wells or grow our own food on property with high property taxes. This is the insanity brought about because our leaders do not see the middle class as something that needs to be tended to in order to provide for all the other needs of our nation.

In CA, the budget is a complete disaster. I’ve written many times to so-called “representatives” and the governor and San Jose Mayor that they must go after the FEDERAL RESERVE and BANKSTERS who DELIBERATELY created the Housing Bubble and Derivatives Fiasco….It seems our politicians once again only listen to the Banksters as I learned that there has been about 3 petiticians to the politicians to address this which were ignored (just like me).

ILLEGAL ALIENS and their Anchor Baby Offspring. The politicians (BOTH PARTIES) could do so much alone if they did these 3 things: End BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP of those born to ILLEGAL ALIENS…..Force E-VERIFY on all Employers….STOP FORCING USA CITIZENS to pay for all the services for ILLEGAL ALIENS (who have no right to be here at all).

Q: Why should we go broke paying for the BABY MAKER ILLEGAL ALIENS who cross our borders knowing full well that between they and their children, they will get: FREE BIRTHS, WIC, food stamps, housing, LEGAL-Language services, FREE School (including FREE breakfasts-lunches) and now CA forces their own citizens to pay for the DREAM ACT (including Financial Aide).

SCHOOLS: Don’t forget that they hugely support ILLEGAL ALIENS and the DREAM ACT and…they teach RECONQUISTA-AZTLAN in the higher grades (RECONQUISTA-AZTLAN) is about the reclaiming the former Mexican territory ranging from the state of CA to CO-TX) and they heavily promote CINCO de MAYO and Dios de los Muertes as well.

LA RAZA and MEChA and other Chicano, Latino, Mexica and Hispanic chapters in our schools also teach RECONQUISTA-AZTLAN.

This Aztlan nonsense is being piggybacked onto the NAU (N. AMERICAN UNION) plan to merge: Canada, the USA and Mexico together..This is why ILLEGAL ALIENS are treated like such Sacred Cows in our state!

TRADE POLICIES-VISA WORKERS-ILLEGAL ALIENS: Also largely not addressed are USA Companies like Intel who (recently built their facility in HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM) when that could have done here-there’s enough vacant buildings to do that as well.

VISA WORKERS-Businesses and the CARL GUARDINO of the SILICON VALLEY LEADERSHIP GROUP (constantly clamor to get as many VISA WORKRS-GREEN CARDS as possible) and collectively across this nation, they know that millions of QUALIFIED USA CITIZENS remain unemployed or underemployed.–and I can see all the Indian restaurants popping up along El Camino Real and the rest of Santa Clara Valley. This is just evil in my opinion.

NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT and the WTO must be ended! There’s FAIR TRADE and there’s “FREE” Trade..What did our politicians (BOTH PARTIES) do? …They expanded this to: S. Korea, Panama and Columbia!

Sorry for rambling, but I’m so angry about all this…CNN and the Politicians are saying how wonderful it is that Moamar Gaddafi is dead and how awful he was to his people…

Well, when our OWN POLITICIANS let the FEDERAL RESERVE and BANKSTERS rob us blind, give away our jobs, have us mired in perpetual war, they refuse to Secure our Borders, refuse to Enforce our Immigration laws and still Force their own citizens to pay for ILLEGAL ALIENS, will destroy their own nation for the NAU formation and are implementing AGENDA 21-ICLEI and have performed WEATHER WARS on us through HAARP-CHEMTRAILS, are USA POLITICIANS (BOTH PARTIES) any better than Moamar Gaddafi?…If anything, I think our government is worse (and I NEVER thought I would ever say something like this-Not ever).

Don’t forget the TREACHEROUS MSM (MAINSTREAM MEDIA) role in all this either…They DELIBERATLY kept their Fellow Citizens in the dark like Mushrooms and they are leading us to Absolute Catastrophe!

    • Jean

      Ted,
I couldn’t agree with you more on the subject of illegals. That is because although I lived most of my life outside CA, I lived a total of 7 years in CA (most recently in San Diego). I never realized what was going on with this until I lived in southern CA.

Unfortunately in those parts of the country where this problem is not yet rampant… people don’t really understand the magnitude of the issue and seem to be basing their opinions on what they are spoon fed by the liberal media; i.e., that it’s just poor little farmers working hard who just want to feed their families.

  • Rex

MY PREVIOUS COMMENT MENTIONED THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA…(Here’s an exerpt about DAVID ROCKEFELLER and the MSM role).

EXERPT: David Rockefeller in an address to a Trilateral Commission meeting in June of 1991 openly admitted that the media was in on the
conspiracy to create a one world socialist government:

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected the promises of discretion for almost forty years.

It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world-government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”

ROCKEFELLER was thanking them for DECEIVING the American people concerning his plan to destroy America and create a one world government and his plan to destroy the dollar and create a world currency.

ROCKEFELLER was praising the MEDIA for Concealing the Globalist Agenda to bring the world into a World Socialist Government, where the American people would become serfs and lose their Constitutional freedoms to his New World Order.

ROCKEFELLER acknowledged that the MEDIA were his Co-Conspirators in HIDING what the Federal
Reserve was really all about and the fact that the CFR controls ALL the Major MEDIA and BOTH the Republican and Democratic Parties.

I guess HegelsDialectic has said it all. Rock on brother.

  • Rex

HegelsDialect: Thank you, you had a lot of good info.

I’ll add something though to this segment: “The goal is to cull the herd to 500 million and chip the remnant.”

The GEORGIA GUIDESTONES of (ELBERTON, GA, USA) mentions on one of its stones that “Humanity Must be Maintained at 500 million” and another says to leave room for nature”…This sounds an awful lot like AGENDA 21 to me and sounds like a command vs a “warning” that the show of DECODED of the HISTORY CHANNEL did. DECODED said the GEORGIA GUIDESTONES are a warning, that Elberton was “high ground” and showed CAYCE’s map of most of the USA under water.

DEPOPULATION is also mentioned by PROF ERIK PIANKA who said most people should be dead (he sickeningly got a standing ovation) and Kissinger has his “Useless Eaters” comment. Other ELITES share the same opinion as Pianka, Kissinger and the author of the GEORGIA GUIDESTONES.

MICROCHIPPING (AARON RUSSO) mentions this in the LOOSE CHANGE video and the ROCKEFELLERS want this Microchipping.

Even though I’ve gotten ridiculed ad nauseum on this subject, anybody can easily research this themselves and I don’t think hiding their heads in the sand is going to help them escape the truth and the terrible things that are coming down the road if indeed if this GLOBAL GOVERNMENT does come to fruition.

  • Rex

I think we’re all going to have to back the basics to survive. True, many don’t have farms, but if we can, we have to try to grow our own food, learn about root cellars, grow our own cotton, sheer some sheep, learn to make our own thread-material and learn to sew our own clothes, learn blacksmithing and probably fall back on Barter…

The Banksters, FED Reserve and Corporations working towards a Global Government have made darn sure that our economy is ruined as part of their plan and I can NEVER FORGIVE the Politicians of BOTH PARTIES and the MSM who betrayed us to get their precious NWO.

All I can say for all the accomplices is: “Once the GLOBAL GOVRNMENT is fully formed and the dust is settled, what makes these accomplices think the GLOBAL ELITES trust them enough to keep them around? After all, they were so eager to destroy their own nation and betray their own people! Also, the ELITES are insatiably greedy and power hungry…How soon before the ELITES set their crosshairs on these traitors?”

  • Rex

The above comment applies to, if we survive at all.

My final comment and question would apply to ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS and their Offspring: Why should you trust any USA POLITICIAN of (BOTH PARTIES) who is so eager to destroy their own nation for the sake of the N. AMERICAN UNION and betray their own citizens?

Shouldn’t this behavior raise a red flag? These politicians aren’t doing this for no reason. What’s the ultimate price tag going to be for being the recipients of the treason against their own citizens?

Debt money is just that…DEBT. With compounding interest, it defies nature (which we are a part of).

Perhaps we need a new financial paradigm, that is credit, 0% interest, or even negative currency.

    (and bonds too if necessary)

That pretty much sums it up. We are in a devil’s playground and it will not getter better, much to what the sheeple would like to subconsciously think.

The left/right paradigm is the greatest illusion ever made by the elite, as it distracts us from the real menaces of this war (the elite: private, international bankers). The end of times are near – they are working on WWIII this very moment to decreased the outrageous 7 billion population.

  • broke to pieces

This will continue until we DO something. Something like, what? Like something Violent; and that is when the airstrikes will be on OUR heads. Peaceful protest is a fools game and Hilary Clinton wants the UN to take our guns. If the Army Navy and Marine Corps will not fire on Citizens, the blue helmets and the Chinese will be here. Rebellious are YOU, America, for daring to structured thinking in terms of freedom.

  • Sid Davis

Are you familiar with Stockhold Syndrome?

My view of government is that they have captured the public, much like a battered wife is captured and voluntarily stay for the abuse, or a long term kidnap victim like Patty Hurst or Elizabeth Smart complies and does not try to escape even given a very loose leash.

Somehow people have come to believe they are supposed to be ruled by government; they go to the polls and dutifully select their ruler believing that voting is what makes them free; many demand more and more government thinking the role of government should be all pervasive and they sure get it.

We live in a fascist society, one where politicians and corporations have colluded to rig the markets in their own favor at the expense of the majority. The majority are plundered and controlled in most aspects of their lives, from taxation, to a fraudulent monetary system, to restriction of chose in medicines, medical treatments, to control of the food they eat and water they drink.

The answer is to flee this slavery and embrace freedom, and punish our captors, yet nobody seems to be willing to stand up and lead the slave revolt, much less join it. Those who have captured us certainly will not just lay down and willing free us; slavery is too lucrative to our masters. It ultimately will take violence, and when that comes there will be three factions: (1)those in power wishing to remain so, (2)those who reject those in power, but want more government plunder and control with the largess going to themselves rather than the current fat cats, and (3)those wanting to return to freedom by eliminating most of government and the laws and controls that rig the markets to transfer wealth from the majority to the privileged few.

We are very close to this eruption of violence, the motivation being the intolerable pain and suffering being produced by the current system of slavery. You won’t have the option to sit on the sidelines because your friends and neighbors will effective force you to make a choice of the camp you will join. Each of us will be either friend or foe and if you want to know how that operates, read about the Civil War in border states like Missouri.

It would be wonderful if we could make the transition back to freedom peacefully, but if you look at the public reaction to people like Ron Paul who want to follow that path, you will find that Stockholm Syndrome has a powerful effect on their minds and sticking with the Stepford Candidates must help them to maintain psychological equilibrium. Denial is a powerful self preservation technique.

When the few have used government to redistribute wealth from the many to the few, it is no wonder that the quarters of the many, our cities, are looking more an more like deteriorating clusters of slave shacks.

It is a little surprising to me that with the majority so overwhelmingly outnumbering those in power, and with the public being so well armed (thanks to what is left of the 2nd amendment) that revolt has not already visited us, but then I suppose that the pain that will come from revolution is perceived by those willing to contemplate that path to still be greater than just going along to get along and accepting the painful lives the current system delivers to them.

Not only are declining cities evidence of our slavery, but they are way points on our road to revolution.

I am yet amazed at the mythologies that continue to be expressed. First, there was no Federal Reserve during the Lincoln or Garfield Administrations. Second, JFK didn’t try to get rid of the FED, he simply changed, through executive order, the person in charge of the issuance of silver through the Treasury, nothing more.Third, Lincoln was a friend of the bankers, although he turned down the European bankers for the offer of loans at a higher rate of interest for his war machine, he was a firm supporter of central banking in this country, read his speeches on the subject. He also opposed Andrew Jackson when Jackson was fighting the Bank of the U.S. and Lincoln fought against any actions against the corrupt Bank of Illinois to reign in the corruption. Lincoln’s Greenback system of fiat money was a boon to the bankers in this country, they loved him for the plan and made out like bandits from the Greenback system. Lincoln gave special privileges to a limited number of bonds dealers who were making enormous amounts selling government bonds and although there was no direct interest associated with the Greenback system there was an indirect interest that took the Union into a debt that had not been seen in this country. Lincoln’s Greenback system and central banking schemes were the seedbed for the modern Federal Reserve Banking system and the fiat monetary systems we fight against today.

Maurading dogs. How much longer can ANYONE pretend we are not living in the time of the Revelation of Jesus Christ? What the hell is possessing you people who keep denying we are living in anything but the last days?

Golf clubs will not help you.

I’ve always considered many streetlights, parking-lot lights and business signs to be a waste of electricity. So shutting them off has it’s advantages.
Las Vegas, Los Angeles?, maybe God is telling us we shouldn’t be building metropolises in the desert.

  • R Jay

Have your Cities call companies like kardings, upgrade to led street lights with no money out of pocket and subsidy payments at contract signing, will not solve all problems but it is a start.Street light cost at 1/3 of the original.

Jesus Himself said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one shall come to the father except through me.” If you believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was raised from the dead, died for YOUR sins because He LOVES you and confess with your mouth “Jesus is Lord” you WILL be saved. I am so grateful to know I am saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Receive Him into your heart and you won’t have to worry about worldly things like money any longer. Only Jesus Christ can save souls. Time is running short, the worst is yet to come.

    • http://www.dennisadecker.com Dennis

SaneOhioan, I’m concerned by what you say because, from my perspective, it is another example of what HegelsDialectic was talking about when he said

“Why does a “loving Creator” allow these things to happen: A: Because the sins of this world are stacked up into the heavens, and there is no REPENTANCE!”

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, but he did not die to save us IN our sins. He died to save us FROM our sins, on the condition of repentance. Repentance means turning away from sin and turning toward God, not only with your mouth, but in your thoughts and your deeds. (Read Isaiah chapter 1). The danger of believing that we will be saved for merely confessing that Jesus is the Christ is that we will fall into the camp that Isaiah mentioned when he said (speaking for the Lord) “They draw near to me with their mouths, and with their lips do honor me, but their hearts are far from me.”

No, we need to do far more than confess a belief in Christ. We must get on our knees and ask God, “What do I need to change starting right now?” Then we need to turn to his words and search until we find an answer. Then, as soon as we start to make some headway, we need to repeat the process. “Those who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved” is talking about people who seek the Lord daily in prayer, not those who make a single confession and call it good.

I do not intend to offend anyone, especially not anyone who also wants to follow Jesus Christ, but I feel obligated to speak when silence means that someone’s soul might not be saved.

Well, this is it. Everybody must be prepared for anything much worst that might happen in the future. We must be thankful though, considering other countries poorer than US.
