How to Survive the End of the World as We Know It

Help Us Spread The News By Sharing These Articles With Others:

Will Toledo, Ohio Be The First Major American City To Be Owned By China?

It has been said that there are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation.  One way is by using the sword, and the other is by using debt.  Fortunately, America is not in danger of being conquered by the sword right now, but America is being conquered by debt.  The borrower is the servant of the lender, and today we owe China more than a trillion dollars.  By running a gigantic trade deficit with us, China has been able to become incredibly wealthy.  We have begged them to lend us back some of the money that we have sent them and this has made them even wealthier.  Now China is gobbling up U.S. real estate and U.S. assets at an astounding pace.  In fact, some cities are in danger of becoming completely dominated by Chinese ownership.  One of those cities is Toledo, Ohio.  In many "rust belt" areas, real estate can be had for a song, and the Chinese are taking full advantage of this.  America was once the wealthiest nation on earth, but now we are drowning in debt and we are being sold off in chunks to the highest bidder.  Is this the legacy that we are going to leave for future generations?

According to a recent Fortune article, Chinese investors have been very busy purchasing distressed commercial real estate in Toledo lately....

In March 2011, Chinese investors paid $2.15 million cash for a restaurant complex on the Maumee River in Toledo, Ohio. Soon they put down another $3.8 million on 69 acres of newly decontaminated land in the city's Marina District, promising to invest $200 million in a new residential-commercial development. That September, another Chinese firm spent $3 million for an aging hotel across a nearby bridge with a view of the minor league ballpark.

Toledo is being promoted to Chinese investors as a "5-star logistics region".  From Toledo it is very easy to get to Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Indianapolis.

With a population of 287,000, Toledo is only the fourth largest city in Ohio, but it lies at the junction of two important highways -- I-75 and I-80/90. "My vision is to make Toledo a true international city," Toledo's Mayor Mike Bell told the Toledo Blade.

For some reason the Chinese seem to be very interested in that area of the country.  Last month, I wrote about how one Chinese group plans to develop a 200 acre "China city" just 40 minutes away from Toledo....

A Chinese group known as "Sino-Michigan Properties LLC" has bought up 200 acres of land near the town of Milan, Michigan.  Their plan is to construct a "China City" with artificial lakes, a Chinese cultural center and hundreds of housing units for Chinese citizens.  Essentially, it would be a little slice of communist China dropped right into the heartland of America.  This "China City" would be located about 40 minutes from both Detroit and Toledo, and it would be marketed to Chinese business people that want to start businesses in the United States.

But it is not just the rust belt that is being bought up by the Chinese.  A recent Forbes article documented several of the huge real estate deals that the Chinese are doing in New York right now....

According to a recent report in the New York Times, investors from China are “snapping up luxury apartments” and are planning to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on commercial and residential projects like Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn. Chinese companies also have signed major leases at the Empire State Building and at 1 World Trade Center, the report said.

In addition to real estate, the Chinese are also buying up businesses and natural resources all over the United States.

For example, the Dalian Wanda Group recently bought U.S. movie theater chain AMC Entertainment for 2.6 billion dollars.

Also, the Obama administration has been allowing companies owned by the Chinese government to gobble up U.S. oil and gas deposits worth billions of dollars.

On top of all that, the Federal Reserve recently announced that it will now allow Chinese banks to start buying up American banks.

So how in the world did we come to be so completely and totally dominated by China?

Well, the key to all of this is the trade deficit.

Most Americans can't even tell you what a trade deficit is, but it is at the very heart of our economic problems.

Basically, we buy far, far more from other countries than they buy from us.

Most Americans don't realize this, but the truth is that the United States has a trade imbalance that is more than 5 times larger than any other nation on earth has.

Overall, the U.S. has run a trade deficit of more than 8 trillion dollars with the rest of the globe since 1975.

If you go into a Wal-Mart of a dollar store today and you start looking at product labels, you will notice that hundreds of products say "made in China" and very few of them say that they were made in this country.

Every single month, China sends us gigantic mountains of plastic crap to sell in our stores and we send them gigantic mountains of our money.

The U.S. trade deficit with China during 2011 was $295.4 billion.  That was the largest trade deficit that one country has had with another country in the history of the planet.

Sadly, so far our trade deficit with China in 2012 is about 12 percent larger than it was last year.

So things are getting even worse.

To get an idea of how far things have come, let us take a look back at the 1980s for a moment.

Back in 1985, the U.S. trade deficit with China was only 6 million dollars for the entire year.

All of this imbalanced trade is absolutely killing us.

Today, the United States spends about 4 dollars on goods and services from China for every one dollar that China spends on goods and services from the United States.

So why doesn't China buy more stuff from us?

Well, there are a whole lot of reasons.  One of the main reasons is that they slap huge tariffs on many American-made goods.

For example, according to the New York Times a Jeep Grand Cherokee that costs $27,490 in the United States costs about $85,000 in China thanks to all the tariffs.

So why do we allow China to keep doing this to us?

That is a very good question.

Meanwhile, China is continually getting wealthier and we are continually getting poorer.

All of the money that is leaving this country and going to China could be going to U.S. businesses and U.S. workers instead.  In turn, those businesses and workers would pay taxes on that money to support the government.

Instead, we have to go beg China to lend us the money that we just sent to them.

At this point, China now holds approximately 1.17 trillion dollars of U.S. government debt.

None of this ever had to happen.

But it did happen because we were stupid.

Now China has mountains of money to literally buy us up.

But China is not the only country that we have an imbalanced trading relationship with.

For example, the new "free trade agreement" between the United States and South Korea that Barack Obama has been touting went into full effect on March 15, 2012.

So how has that "free trade agreement" turned out so far?  The following is from a recent article by Pat Buchanan....

The U.S. trade deficit with Korea tripled in one month. Imports from South Korea jumped 15 percent to $5.5 billion in April, while U.S. exports to South Korea fell 12 percent to $3.7 billion. Suddenly, the U.S. trade deficit with Seoul surged to an annual rate of $22 billion.

Shades of NAFTA. When it passed in 1993, we had a $1.6 billion trade surplus with Mexico. By 2010, our trade deficit with Mexico had reached $61.6 billion.

Ouch.

The truth is that these free trade agreements are not fair and balanced.

U.S. workers end up competing for jobs with workers in countries where it is legal to pay slave labor wages.  And other countries often have far fewer rules and regulations to follow as well.  In his recent article, Buchanan described why all Americans should be economic nationalists....

Global free trade means U.S. workers compete with Asian and Latin American workers whose wages are a fraction of our own and whose benefits may be nonexistent. Global free trade means U.S factories that relocate to Indonesia or India need not observe U.S. laws on health, safety, pollution or paying a minimum wage.

Global free trade means that companies that move factories outside the United States can send their products back to the United States free of charge and undercut businessmen who retain their American workers and live within American laws.

Free trade makes suckers and fools out of patriots.

Unfortunately, both major political parties in the United States are absolutely married to the one world economic agenda that the elite are pushing.

So we will continue to bleed wealth, businesses and jobs at an astounding pace.

You can get a really good idea of the horrific manufacturing job losses in the United States over the past 40 years by checking out this map right here.

Overall, the United States has lost a total of more than 56,000 manufacturing facilities since 2001.

According to the Economic Policy Institute, since 2001 America has lost approximately 2.8 million jobs due to our trade deficit with China alone.

There seems to be absolutely no concern with protecting American jobs these days.

If you can believe it, Chinese corporations are even building our bridges.  The following is a brief excerpt from a recent ABC News article....

In New York there is a $400 million renovation project on the Alexander Hamilton Bridge.

In California, there is a $7.2 billion project to rebuild the Bay Bridge connecting San Francisco and Oakland.

In Alaska, there is a proposal for a $190 million bridge project.

These projects sound like steps in the right direction, but much of the work is going to Chinese government-owned firms.

"When we subsidize jobs in China, we're not creating any wealth in the United States," said Scott Paul, executive director for the Alliance for American Manufacturing.

Americans need to start understanding that our trade deficit is causing us to lose massive numbers of businesses and jobs and that this is making us poorer as a nation.

As I wrote about the other day, the median net worth of families in the United States declined "from $126,400 in 2007 to $77,300 in 2010" according to the Federal Reserve.

Even if you take away the effect of the housing collapse, household net worth still declined by 25 percent between 2005 and 2010.

A lot of that decline in wealth was due to the recent recession, but the point I am trying to make is that we are getting poorer as a nation.

A decade ago, the United States was ranked number one in average wealth per adult.  By 2010, the United States had fallen to seventh.

And when you factor in our debts, we are a complete and total mess.  U.S. consumers are more than 11 trillion dollars in debt and the federal government is nearly 16 trillion dollars in debt.

We are getting deeper in debt at the same time that our ability to service that debt is declining.

The reality is that our economy is completely falling apart and it no longer produces enough jobs for everyone.

In fact, it isn't even close.

Right now there are about 3.7 workers that are "officially" unemployed for every single job opening.

So what we are doing right now is clearly not working.

We need to fundamentally change direction as a nation.

Unfortunately, that is not going to happen any time soon.

So where do we go from here?

” Don’t blame the Chinese for taking advantage of American GREED & STUPIDITY.” Yeah, that’s right but not without a lot of help from “US” born and raised citizens who were in on the details to ruin America and happily decided to join in. A US business owner of a privately run state public school subsidized tutoring program, “coincidentally” married to a chinese man, made sure that at least 8 out of 10 students in the program at any given time were Chinese (albeit illegal), with only a few of the remaining slots given to legal American school age children. American teachers now travel to Asian countries to teach English. And America wonders why their children do so poorly in school. 80,000 driver’s licenses, were “accidentally”, handed out to illegal Chinese immigrants.
Yeah, they’ve taken over alot but not without a heck of a lot of help from fine upstanding American citizen enemies who helped put a knife in America’s back all the for the sake of a quick buck…treasonous!

I live in South Korea and I can tell you that there was significant opposition to the FTA at the grass roots level here. People were marching in the streets. I spoke about it with some Korean collegues and assured them that they in fact had nothing to worry about…FTAs ALWAYS mean less money and jobs for Americans and more money and jobs for our “partners.” They didn’t believe me at the time but I’ve noticed that no one over here is complaining anymore…funny how that works.

What I was most impressed with was how regular folks out here really FIGHT to protect their jobs while Americans just sort of sit back and collect their UI checks. Food for thought.

By the way, S. Koreans don’t work for slave wages so I’m not sure how the 1% is making money on this deal, but doubtless they are.

I read and watch about how our country is falling apart.

The question of “what went wrong” seems to be asked by those who don’t make the rules.

What went wrong, imho, is our choice of rule-makers. Even though they were supposedly chosen by ballot by us.

Perhaps what is really wrong is our country’s way of tallying votes? Perhaps what is wrong is the media and it’s strangle-hold upon the majority of American’s minds?

It’s really a “no-brainer” that our country needs to re-evaluate how the whole Free Trade thing is serving our people.
But it’s not being evaluated, and by your article, it’s being expanded…by those we have voted into office. Hum….

    Something’s ROTTEN in America.

We have been infiltrated by the enemy and not a fire has been shot.

Until the practice of high ranking govt. people leaving and becoming lobbyists for whoever will pay them we will continue to lose. There is little difference between that practice and public employess unions that can give money to elected officials. We are the biggest bunch of idiots in history.

    • Save the Republic

Americans have become to stupid to think outside the box, the T.V. box that is. They almost all believe whatever the box tells them, without question. The box tells them “if you don’t vote Democrat or Republican, you’re wasting your vote, so choose the lesser of the two evils we’re offering you”. So, rather than voting for THE BEST choice we can possibly get for office, we get the worst or the next worst. Consequently, very few who aren’t a scumbag political insider of one of the parties will attempt to run, because without the endorsement of the networks of “the box” (who are among the ones that benefit from the party candidates), most realize that it’s futile, and perhaps costly, to even try.

    South. Off a waterfall.

Ethan Harris, an economist for Bank of America, predicts that by October that corporate economic growth will slow, job growth could plummet to near zero, and that our nation may be heading to a possible recession. The reason for this is many businesspeople will be feeling uncertainty and a lack of confidence in the federal government because of what may happen on January 1, 2013. On that date, a number of tax cuts and spending cuts are scheduled to take effect, and many believe the President and Congress will negotiate to the last minute on a deal.

Yes and wasnt Japan buying up alot of property in California in the 80′s. I remember hearing. “***** the Japs are gonna buy it all” hopefully in the next ten years the China bubble pops and it will be the same outcome as Japan.

    • jaxon64

      apples vs oranges

There is one MAJOR difference which you have overlooked. When Japanese businessmen bought properties in America they did it as a business venture to turn a profit. Many, many of those Japanese businesses and realty companies are still doing business in the US- but they but properties, develop them and sell them back to Americans for a profit.

The China situation is an entirely different can of worms. It is the actual Chinese government buying up American land and resources. The Chinese are not doing this with intent of developing these areas and selling to rich-Americans. The Chinese are buying these chunks of real estate and small city sized landscapes with the intent of creating SOVEREIGN CHINESE ZONES WITHIN US BORDERS. All of our politicians-regardless of party have shown their total disregard and apathy toward maintaing our borders and sovereignty.
I would not be surprised to see these Chinese cities within our country being given complete autonomy and living according to Chinese law. Think it can’t happen? First, just look at the HUGE in-roads that Muslims have made with implementing Sharia law in our country. Second, consider that we aren’t exactly in the position to be bargaining or making the rules–like has already been said, the debtor is slave to the lender. I highly doubt our leaders will utter a peep as walled off cities with gated roads for entry have Chinese flags flying at the checkpoints. Most Americans will just be oblivious as they piddle along in their fantasy worlds of reality TV, Facebook,– Tweeting and sports entertainment–and the MSM is sure to downplay the whole thing if their owners in the corporate bankster world tells them to not talk about it.

Having said all of this, I feel as though greater world-wide calamity will be happening in one form or another before this scenario ever plays out. It would take a decade or more for China to make serious in-roads into actually occupying us and I don’t see any way that the global, financial house of cards lasts another decade.

you nailed it jaxon, it is old fashioned colonization like was done by europeans to the americas and other continents like australia between 1500-1900 years. However the chinese colonists and peasant farmers that are going to be exported to africa, australia, and america will not be exporting food and resources back to china, they will be cut off stranded.

We already lost the game and our country. Been reading up all these information for the last 5 years. I don’t get angry anymore and just chuckle at our country for being so foolish. There will be a time when Americans will actually suffer the lost of their country. Everything is being put into place for the COG. The COG is name is referred to Continunity of Government when the death of our country occurs. COG will be used to enforce martial law and all resources, people and property will be COG’s property. Americans will lose all rights and be used as slaves for the World Government. I believe it will occur around 19 to 20 trillion national debt or when the COG has all the military hardware complete to enforce martial law. As for you Americans saying I have guns or will protect your property or in a SHFT situation. Go right ahead you will be labeled a domestic terrorists and your rebellion will be put down. My fellow Americans, this is your fault for turning your back on godly prinicple or in general moral principle.

  • McKinley Morganfield

As a citizen of flyover country, I consider China far down the list of things I need to be worried about. Number one on my list is Washington, D.C.

  • whteshark

I’m not sure what Americans expect. The Chinese have to buy something with these American dollar reserves that seem to lose value bit by bit every year. They have been buying up everything globally the last few years. It makes good business sense to buy, buy, buy before the end game. They’re not stupid; they know the American dollar has a destiny with destruction. I don’t blame the Chinese at all for our demise; I fault our leaders who led us down this road.

What’s scary is this money flowing back into the United States. If every country in the world started buying up America with their dollar reserves it could lead to scary inflation, maybe even hyperinflation. If they use American dollars to buy stuff in other countries they stick those suckers with our debased currency.

You know, trade deficit with China over the decade in the trillion dollar, and there is not even a free trade agreement between US and China.

So why blame free trade agreement? What’s the real reason for the US-China trade imbalance? To simplify things, just check out the example of one of the grandest of American high tech company Apple.

We are not talking ‘craps’ here; we are talking all those iMac, iPhone and iPad. 100% of Apple gadgets are made (assembled and tested) in China. Why? Apple’s answer: because not only Americans cannot manufacture such tech products, it’s also because only the Chinese factories can do it. Also, 90% of the components – chips, battery, memory, etc – are fabricated by Japanese, Korean and European tech companies. And therefore when you buy Apple products, you are contributing US trade deficits with Asia and European countries. Apple owns no factory at all. It is a pure design and marketing house. What it actually makes is software code and marketing campaigns.

So there you have it – a company who sold a few hundred million units of products in America every year, has a cash horde of some $75 billion, but chose to hire only a small US staff. Yet, Americans bought up Apple stuff like donuts.

Who to blame? Look at the mirror. Blame Apple? Hell, Americans worship Apple.

The Chinese can conquer us, without firing a single shot. They won’t have to. They will just wait until we collapse, under a broken back of debt, obligations, debt, debt, more obligations and ever increasing debt. We owe them, and they know it, and they will blackmail us for it. The Chinese will use our fiscal situation to their advantage. Don’t think so? Come on now, they’re not stupid.

They’ll start by buying large chunks of California. How about Chinatown in San Francisco? Bingo! Then Oregon, Illinois, New York, Arizona, Texas… and then they’ll have us where they want us.

    • mondobeyondo

And it wouldn’t take much, either. Just mention “Taiwan” (Formosa) – aka The Democratic Republic of China, as opposed to the PRC – People’s Republic of China – to the mainland Chinese, and how we (the U.S.) would like it to remain an independent democratic state. Watch the goose pimples rise and then explode among the Chinese government.

“Ya wants war? Ya gots ya some war, buddy!”

      ** Useless boring information alert!!
I once lived in Taiwan, being an Air Force brat. It was many years ago (okay, it was 1973). From what little I remember of it, it was an absolutely beautiful place. Would love to go back there, but I can’t. Due to some geopolitical stuff such as the U.S. government recognizing Beijing as the capital of China in 1979, the U.S. dismantled its bases in Taiwan.

But anyway… the street stoplights were arranged horizontally instead of vertically as they are here in the U.S. There were about 3 taxis for every private car (eat your heart out, New York City!), and the snails were HUGE!!

I guess what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. This practice was the USA’s MO for the 20th century and what we didn’t buy with our money, we stole, or just overthrew with imperial wars of aggression. Who are we to complain? In any event, at least money is coming in from somewhere to help prop up the real estate market.

What really is the difference between ownership of US real property or businesses by foreign-owned vs domestically-owned multinational corporations? In both cases, the owners of these corporations have little or no loyalty to the citizens of the countries within which they operate. Apple and GE come to mind.

This all started when GOD was taken out of this country. When every time a small group of people protest something in America they get there way, we are now seeing the results of this. God help us all cause were going to need it.

Businesses are leaving America because we have the highest corporate taxes in the world. We also have more and more regulations which add to the cost of doing business.

We’re going to have an economic collapse. At least 90% of the US population will die. That’s the legacy we’re leaving for future generations.

  • pete

    Future generations?

Would those be young folks that have barbed wire tatoos and lips/eyebrows packed full of rings and zippers?

Or does that include college grads with tatoos and rings WITH a diploma/degree?

In either case, I suggest they will either go along with it….or they won’t.

yesterday news said blood bank supplies are desperately low. well if that is the case now, how much blood supply will they have in the future when the older and gen x give way to gen y who are all tatooed and can nnot give blood? I hear ya pete. the average young cop now has more tattoos than the average young jailbird. Go figure.

Most Americans are too blind or too pre-occupied with the B.S. to see what’s going on. They’re busy working (or looking for work), they’re busy watching TV, or browsing the Internet, they’re busy texting with friends. They have no clue where this is all headed, and how we even got on this road.

As was espoused in an earlier comment, a large chunk of the blame falls on the shoulders of “our leaders”, the elected officials in the White House and in Congress. Each one of those men and women won their election with hefty campaign contribution from corporations, from the bankers, from the brokers, from the wealth and from special interest groups (we’ll bundle all those together and call them “Owners” from here on). Those elected officials are now deeply endebted to their owners. The owners come first, their friends and family come next, and finally, the American people come last. This has been going on for many years.

In essence, we the American people, have been sold out. Our wealth re-directed to the wealthiest among us, to the big corporations and to other nations. Our resources are being divied up and prepped for plunder. Our lands are being auctioned off and developed by other nations. Why? So we can get cheap plastic goods? So we can buy the newest SmartPhone on the market every 6 months? So we can keep stuffing our faces with expensive, unhealthy food?

When the bulk of the population finally does wake up, they’re going to see an America they won’t recognize. They’re going to ask themselves “When did I lose my rights? When did I lose my future? When did I become a slave?” But by then, it’ll be too late.

We are the Romans, watching our empire crumble before us. Some of us watch in horror, while others simply play the fiddle.

  • THE WATCHER

China own Toledo ? That’s great news !

My mom’s side of the family lives there. Lots of jobs for my relatives to work in Chinese sweatshops now without having to move out of the country.

Seriously though, China has a bigger real estate bubble than the US did that will pop and all the revenues China is starting to miss because the US and Europe are headed for a depression is going to put a halt to China owning the world.
IMO, in about two years; it’s going to be every country is on its own as dealing with defaults all over the place and keeping its people from rioting over food problems will be their main priority.

  • GaryToo

    really good article.

this trend is not just in usa but all over the world. apart from all the small individual real estate auctions where there are always a chinese bidder able to go as high as they want, they buy up huge massive tracts of land in africa and south america and australia, supposedly undeveloped land, with an intention to make it all productive.

They have industrialized and urbanized right over much of their own former farmland and need to farm elsewhere in the world for their food.

I notice that wherever chinese own factories they are able to send chinese workers who do not have to be able to speak english like other foreign workers have to.

Dont tell me the politicians are not fully in the chinese pockets.

  • Maximus

The ‘why’ of this problem is very simple. In order for the ‘powers that be’ to succeed in achieving their New World Order, they must equalize the existing wealth globally. They must remove as much wealth as possible from Amerika and move it into countries with lower per capita wealth. They desire to have us all on a level playing field so that all countries have an equal share and an equal say in their New World Order. All of this is within the elite’s own writings and public statements.

Welcome to the New World Order! You ain’t seen nothing yet!!!!

  • Zach

First let me point out that I think that Nafta, cafta, and such are bad ideas. Not because they are free trade, but because they are managed trade (not free market based).

Now to my main point. I am tired of hearing about “X” is going to buy up America! I think it is about time China bought something from us and not the other way around. And is it China’s fault that we have devalued the dollar by 96 percent? If we had a strong dollar, half of this would not be happening. We could buy much more with our dollars than the Chinese could, thus allowing for more employment, since labor would be inexpensive because of the dollars purchasing power. And besides, the market is based upon needs, not upon fiat. So lets say we put up a protective tariff. Sure wages may go up, but if people are not willing to pay the price for those automobiles (over saturation in the market) then the companies will have to fire them anyways. Any the whole point of economic growth is to provide the greatest amount of prosperity (not just monetarily) and quality of life with the least amount of resources possible. If they can spruce up Toledo or Detroit or wherever, I say go for it! They are probably doing more for our cities than our governments are doing.

So my point in case is that don’t blame the Chinese, blame the Federal Reserve and the Federal Government for their absurd policies.

  • WM

This article is disturbing, however, once one understands that the Bible prophecies thousands of years ago, (Ezekiel, Zechariah, Revelation) tell of a time that is coming in which there will be a one world government, one currency (most likely a electronic tracking chip), and a gloabal leader ( antichrist), then you start to see that the “change” that obummer promised is really controlled by the global elite, (that this site talks much about).

Americas power and riches and the rights we have via the Constitution are a thorn in the side to the globalist in implementing the New World Order. They are systematically removing our freedoms, and the wealth that America once had, has faded away. Does anyone really believe that all the junk that we import from China, and globalism, and all the companies relocating to another country is just a mistake? Or caused purely by greed? I don’t think so. Sure, greed is a part of it, and over regulation, but who made it too expensive, and who keeps coming up with regulation after regulation???? These were created for a reason…to bring the American economy down and put it in debt, so that we can have our sovereignty stripped be “humbled” to the level of other countries and therefore be “conquered” and joined to the global economy. Don’t you think the Mexican/US border could really be secured if they really wanted to? Do you think “fast and Furious” was just a case of corruption and greed? There are very few mistakes in high level politics. The Patriot act and Homeland Security with all their freedom stripping rules and regulations are not a mistake. They are sold to the public as a way of protecting us, when in fact they are a subtle way of taking our freedoms away right from under the sheeples noses.

It is no mistake why the world is in such a global finacial mess. The Bible made many very clear prophecies thousand sof years ago, and these current times are the only time so far in human history that we see the stage being set in such a way. Did greed and lust for power have a play in it? Sure, but the God of the Bible distinguishes himself from any other by clearly predicting things that will happen, so that when they do happen, we will know that he is the Living Lord God.

So, does it make me sad that America is no longer? Yes, of course. But, I believe things are happening for a reason, and that reason is to knock America off its throne of THE richest and most powerful nation in the world.

Pray hard and check out the Bible for yourself, you may be shocked as to what you discover.

“As for me and my house. we will serve the Lord” Joshua 24:15

    Sgt Shut Up,

The difference is the trade deficit, and how long it has been growing. We did not have the trade deficit with Japan that we have with China. We also did not have a trade deficit that continually grew every single year.

Yes, China’s economy has problems, and it remains to be seen if that will cause them problems down the road.

And let me just point out that I lived right outside of Toledo for a few years. And I currently reside in Michigan. Where I live the government handouts comprise 30 percent of peoples income. In surrounding areas, it is 40 percent. If something like this came in and provided jobs and opportunities, I think that it would be better than having people on the dole.

QUIT BUYING CHINESE MADE CRAP! – Yes its that simple!

  • Chris

This did not happen by accident but by deliberate design. Your country has been brought down not just by greed and stupidity but by treachery. China has been engineered to become THE Global Superpower after the decline of the USA has been achieved by your politicians.
China has a very big population and the USA has a lot of land. How many exactly are they thinking of sending over to you to work for Chinese wages on American soil? What will they do to/with all the surplus Americans?

    • GaryToo

chris, dont forget that leaving china to go to a colony elsewhere in the world will free them from the one child policy, so you are right they will increase numbers.

  • http://googlecrome sequoia

Here in Baja California,Mexico, the same thing is happening. The Chinese are also buying up properties and when you go to buy something in the hardware store, or even shoes and clothes, all most everything is made in China. Also if you buy baskets,Mexican flags and souveneers, they are Chinese made. In Tijuana,Rosarito,Mexicali and Ensenada it seems like there are more Chinese restraunts than Mexican. All of this happenig here is one of the consequences of NAFTA.Some polititions here want to flood the stores with more Chinese junk(so the Mexican people won’t go to San Diego to buy it),will put more people out of work here,by closing down more factories here in Mexico, just like what is happening in the USA.I mention what goes down here in Mexico a lot, because the American people need to know what is happening to its neighbors, and that it is a GLOBAL PROBLEM,not just an American problem.China too is buying up Mexico and even Canada.Go to Vancouver B.C. and it looks like Hong Kong and I saw more Chinese people there, than Canadians. The products in Canada are also made in China. You want to buy a Canadian flag,It will be made in China, just like the American flag. Thanks to GREED and UNFAIR TRADE POLICIES and CORPORATE FREE TRADE,this is going on everywhere.

  • Snoopy_The_Economist

Didn’t Japan try buying up US real estate many years ago and take a bath after the collapse in real estate prices?

China is definitely smart buying up resources – when currencies are worth nothing at least commodities will have value.

This is not the complete list; it was taken from the 45 Communist goals that found their way down the halls of our great Capitol back in 1963.

Communist Goals (1963) Congressional Record–Appendix, pp. A34-A35 January 10, 1963 Current Communist Goals EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES Thursday, January 10, 1963 .

    3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

    15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

    26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

(Leviticus 20:13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.)

    27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”
    30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
    31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

    36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

    37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

Luke 10:18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

Matthew 12:31Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

In ancient Babylon their economy was based on usury.
“If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not be like a moneylender; charge him no interest. Exodus 22:25
Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him. Ezekiel 18:13
Usury is unlawful; expressly prohibited by GOD!
Article 1 Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution clearly states that only the Congress can print and coin money!

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 was slipped thru congress during the Christmas break with the majority of it’s members absent.

The Federal Reserve is self serving and privately owned in violation to the Constitution, charging interest on illegally printed money. Money printed from nothing!
In America On June 4, 1963, a virtually unknown Presidential decree, Executive Order 11110, was signed with the authority to basically strip the Federal Reserve Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Federal Government at interest. With the stroke of a pen, President Kennedy declared that the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank would soon be out of business. Five months later A UNITED STATES PRESIDENT, PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY was MURDERED BY COMMUNIST!

Our own US Congress voted themselves a raise. (But vetoed a raise for those on Social Security) A member of Congress only have to be in Congress one time to receive a pension that is more than $15,000 per month. And most are now equal to being millionaires plus.  If some one in the military stays  in for 20 years (providing that they are not killed in combat before that) and gets out as an E-7, they may receive a pension of $2,000 per month, and the very people who placed them in harm’s way receives a pension of $15,000 per month.

The debt added by the previous 43 U.S. Presidents from 1789 through 2002 combined was
       $6.3 trillion

The debt added by Obama is
        $6.5 trillion

2Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel , Whosoever he be of the children of Israel , or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel , that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.
3And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.
4And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:
5Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

She was the top attorney for Walmart that crushed the unions and brought cheap labor to US by the way of ( L-1 ) work visas under Bill Clinton. If you check out all the major corporations ( like Intel ) in Portland OR and the Bay Bridge $7 billion dollar bride, these forien workers pay No federal or State TAXES . The investment of caspital in the US proper is no different that what we do in other lands -permitting. Everyone wants capital investment; this has been going on for centuries.

The USA is indeed in need of capital and foreign investment is a option for improvement. No matter what country, conglomerate, banking-investment system provides cash there is not real ownership of the land base, just capitalization.

Investment in other lands, be it ours, or theirs, reduces war, and strengthens trade and agreements according to the global theory.Perhaps this capitalizataion will make jobs?

We may have lost a few battles on the economic front but have made tremendous strides in sexual freedom.
The Chinese will probably do a far better ob of running Toledo than Americans. It’s obvious that Americans no matter how much you spend on their education are just not up to the challenge due to low IQ’s.
The Chinese men can have our women that our men don’t want and have children with them that our men refuse to give them because they are more turned on by each other.
Hopefully when the Chinese men sire children with our women the children will be a little smarter and get some of those good genes from the Chinese.Everyone knows the Chinese are smarter than Americans.Just look around! The Chinese have been buying up governments in South America too and have been doing a fine job.I think this is a good thing. The Chinese have our best interests at heart and they have a vested interest in our success.

    • Martha

it’s the women who refuse to have the children. Don’t forget it’s the women that want free birth control and government paid abortions. The men are obviously quite willing to do their part by having sex, it’s the women who refuse to have the children. The women are the ones that choose to prostitute themselves and the guys don’t even have to pay for the sex, every mans dream from the beginning of time. Sex for free

Thousands of naked people roaming the streets of Portland last weekend were said to have been led by a naked Chinese man holding up an umbrella while dressed in a pink tutu. At least the Chinese here are doing their best to assimilate into Western civilized culture…

  • WOW

    Well, 2 points

Stop wasting money on wars and weapon research as US already have far more advance weapons than anyone else on planet.

    Start saving money.

I was watching the movie”Home Alone” and talking to my wife, those were the days when 80% goods were Made in USA and now 80% are made in China

    Impressive

    • GaryToo

china is the major component supplier of those far more advanced american weapons. do you suppose they build in a remote fail capacity…

  • CSH

While people listened to the ridiculous accusations from the media that Ron Paul’s military strategy wasn’t right, he, in fact, is the ONLY candidate that “GETS IT”! He knows the financial war that has been waged on us from the global elitists, who also profit from both sides of any physical war. That’s why he has drawn attention to the money grabbing, fraudulent, corrupt, Federal Reserve Banksters. They are at fault for selling us all down the river and eating up are wealth from the inside out…. killing us slowly.

The sickening part of this is the total destructive goal that congress has been on for over 50 years. Over 40 years ago the citizens were writing and contacting congress, calling for congress to put fair tariffs on imports coming in here, because our stuff was being taxed to the max by the Chinese and other foreign countries across the pond. Congress ignored us then and they ignore us now. We don’t exist for them except to prey on continually.

It’s all water over the dam isn’t it? I find it curious that americans don’t understand their “education system”, the heart of all problems. It is in these so-called schools that you are corrupted, lied to, minipulated, brainwashed and well..trained like an animal to respond to certain stimulus. Of course the average person does not believe this. Take a look at your lives. Things don’t add up do they? Were you ever taught the basics of life and how to survive and function as an adult? Learn any finance or business skills? How to fill out resumes, dress and act in the real adult world you are heading into? Were you ever told the % of college grads that don’t make it, but have loan debt for life? Or that technology can be a blessing or a curse? Personally, it took 35 years to realize what had been done to me. Most never get it. The end result of pseudo/psyops training veiled as education? Your seeing it….Godspeed & Goodluck

  • Bob

They should buy Chicago. They would probably do a better job than the current owner, Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

  • Gordon

This is not the fault of the Americans. Its not even the fault of the Chinese. There was a banker coup d’etat back in 1913 with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act and the unconstitutional federal income tax law. It took them a hundred years but they’ve finally managed to pay off every politician and buy up every corporation to effectively destroy America so they can accomplish their ultimate goal – one world government, one world army, one world bank. They couldn’t get their New World Order before they destroyed the nation states. America is the biggest domino to fall.

    • Jeff

There was a time when I would have dismissed your comment as just another wacko conspiracy theory, but not anymore.

I believe that what you described is very close to the goal of the international bankers, the people that actually run this world.

    • Earl H.

Well noted. Not many people know this. You hit the nail right on the head. They created the great depression…

    • John

Very succinctly put Gordon, AND very acurate as well. Most important from 1913 is that they took control of the money, (creation/value) from Congress.

  • Randome-11

“Well, there are a whole lot of reasons. One of the main reasons is that they slap huge tariffs on many American-made goods.”

No, the reason is because US business cannot compete anymore, only swindle, both the US population and other countries.

Basically, the Chinese society is one where the most intelligent still comes up on top, considerably meritocratic.

US society is one where the most intelligent is seen as a danger, not an asset, won´t be allowed to come up on top. This system is an ineptocracy.

When a society goes from a meritocracy to an ineptocracy, industry and infrastructure quality are the first victims. Motor works on basis of how well you build it, not on account whever you support martin luther king or not, for self-evident reasons, baby boomers as a general rule where far less skilled than previous generations and when they came into the workforce, manufacture was already at risk.

  • Diane C

My Dad passed away in 2011. His house in pretty exclusive area in CA sold to a Chinese person FOR CASH. He paid $600,000, cash ( appraisal was 700,000. Didn’t have many other offers even before that due to the economy. We took it. It had a mortgage on it and at least it didn’t go to the bank. The reason this person liked it was because it had lots of land in the back and he wanted to build a tennis court. TRUTH.

Anyway, looks like the Chinese are going to over run the Mexicans in CA eventually.

    • http://doctoramarthacastro.wordpress.com/ Neuronite

When the Chinese take over, the Mexicans will work for the Chinese, no problem, LOL. The crossing into the US will not stop just because the nationality of the “bosses” have changed. The US and México are united by geographics, and that won´t change. The thing is that the conditions for the workers will be way poorer, harder, less income and with less privileges they enjoy now…slavery coming, maybe?

  • Evie

I disagree that because we are in debt we have to sell homes and resources to the chinese. Sell them more treasuries.
Are they saying americans are too dumb and lazy to start businesses. Hey if they gave us handouts and millions, no fool would turn it down.
Isnt this treason? I cannot buy property in mexico unless I am married to one.
This is failure by design. They could have also allowed people,to stay in their homes for free. bet the chinese are getting free homes and businesses. No wonder people do not want to work.

  • Italics Mine

So,what happens if China buys up a lot of property in this country? They’ll be screwed on the real estate taxes like the rest of us.

  • joe

Is this article meant to incite nationalism with “hate” for chinese? While, it seems like that is what it is implying. How about placing some blame on your dumb neighbors who keep living beyond their means or just look in the mirror?

    • J.prindle

This does not cause me to resent the Chinese at all. It however causes me to dispise our own government which has sold us out!

  • AssHat

Guaranteed income for the government. Don’t have a job here is some money to spend. Didn’t make enough money here is a little more. Everyone keep spending.

  • mark

Well at least they were smarter than the Japanese were in the 80′s who overpaid for our real estate, everyone thought they were gonna own us! but yeah all our govt. has to do to screw them is nationalize real estate! ha ha

    • http://n/a kathleen riney

Don’t think the gov WON”T nationalize Real Estate! I bet $5 Obama is going to call up a “state of emergency” of some sort,& we won’t have an election! All he has to do is enforce Marshall Law, which is already in place! It was never rescinded in the courts when the Supreme Court imposed it on the Vets after WW I! Think of Waco Tx. as a “Dress Rehearsal” Didn’t anybody see the military tanks from Ft. Hood out there? That’s against our Constitution!

“Moody’s Investors Service has lowered the ratings of some of the world’s largest banks, including Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup and Goldman Sachs.

The ratings agency said late Thursday that the banks were downgraded because their long-term prospects for profitability and growth are shrinking.

The ratings agency said it was especially concerned about banks with significant capital market activities during a time of increased volatility in markets.”

Why would anyone want to buy Toledo?

    • D.Minus Collins

Good one! I lived there for 7 years (the worst 7 of my life). Nowhere else has such a collection of idiots, morons, low-life criminals and political corruption per capita. Simply put: Toledo is a criminal operation; Washington, DC in miniature, run by organized labor and the most unqualified “elected officials” to be found.

OTOH – Toledo is the Geographic Bomb. More than Chicago or Detroit, Toledo is perfectly situated to access a third of the nation’s population. Lake Erie, 2 Interstate hwys, 2 aiports, mega-rail service, cheap vacant land and 20% unemployment, mostly blue collar.
Only the myopia and criminal ignorance of Toledo’s “leaders” has capped its growth for decades. Add to that, the dominance of Organized Labor (OH not a Right To Work state)which results in mega-taxes, constant new property tax levies and all the red tape in the world and you know why Business left decades ago and has refused to come back.

China has the money to not care about all that. Eventually, they will buy the politicians, too, and get the necessary “work-arounds” to reduce/avoid the taxes others pay. Starving for money, the city will roll over rather than run the risk of offending the Salvation From The East.

  • Gene Lopeman

All of this has already happened in Australia. But it happened back in the early 80′s and it was Japan that did the buying.
Fear not little ones. You cannot take land and buildings back home when your own economy collapse comes. And it will come and the Chinese will be forced into selling back these assets for whatever price they can get. The Japanese felt they had been swindled by Australians by 1995. Maybe they had or maybe it was just greed on the part of Japanese people thinking they were buying valuable assets dirt cheap.
Australia as a whole benefited from the “recession we had to have” (Paul Keating) and the wages and prices freeze we endured for many years. Eventually Australian workers readjusted to the new world order and we are now doing ok. Not “great” as some would have you think, but ok.
The only difference between Australia and America is that Australians look after the unemployed and the poor. So some Americans are going to find these next 10 years very tough indeed.

    • GaryToo

japanese buyup of mainly gold coast was not unique to australia in 80′s, they bought up just as much around thte rest of world. What japan did in 80′s is small potatoes compared to how much of aust real estate the chinese are buying now, as well as millions of acres of farmland. secondly japan did not send workers and colonists only tourists. its really not the same thing.

      • Drew from Oz

Sadly, the US is still one of the largest buyers of Australian real estate and businesses. Look at all the major businesses in Australia- many are US owned or majority controlled. We in Australia look at the complaining that folk in the US are doing about their assets going overseas, and have a little chuckle to ourselves. What is good for the goose, is good for the gander.

    • GaryToo

also its a very outdated view that america does not look after the poor and unemployed like we do, that was true 30 yeas ago but they have just as many social programs if not more now. unemployment for a single person is 200$ a week. Nobody can survive on that, they have unemp AND food stamps. Also the recession of the early 90′s was not just in australia it was global, they had it too.

  • Lancer

To Italics Mine: You are as ignorant as the rest of them. A Communist regime sends his gang and sleepers over to US and eats you alive from within and you fail. Money and undercover agents will desimante our Government and no one is the wiser. Sad, that you know nothing about protecting our country. China is now into banks, theirs and ours. They are also going to get the Los Angeles Shipping port, a closed militay base and when they establish the Trojan Horse here we will be done. It’s sad that the real face behing the veil is putting an end to America with your help.

  • sos

europe has also tried to flog themselves off at bargain basement prices, only to find that greece and spain aren’t worth a tuppence when it comes to chinese money. Unlike the u.s, and australia, which are a more valuable asset, especially when it comes to primary produce, and minerals, .i’d say the germans must be filled with jealousy every time they look across the atlantic, the only thing southern europe has to sell is tourism, and the parthenon is not up for sale, not yet anyway

  • http://itsafluffy.blogspot.com DL

Someone said it above: China is a meritocracy.

On the other hand, the US is now run by Criminal Psychopaths, and is a psychopathocracy.

  • http://centel CHUCK ADKINS

I WOULD BE WILLING TO SELL MY HOME HERE IN ILLINOIS TO THE CHINESE OR ANYONE ELSE. MY WIFE AND I BOUGHT A HOUSE IN GEORGIA TO BE NEAR OUR SON WHO RETIRED FROM THE USMC AFTER 22 YEAQRS OF SERVICE. MUCH OF THIS TIME WAS BEYOND OUR ABILITY TO VISIT FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. TIMES BEING WHAT THEY ARE TODAY, WE ARE FORCED TO SELL BOTH HOMES. BUT THE REAL CLINCHER IS WHAT WE JUST DISCOVERED OUR ILLINOIS’ TAXES WHEN WE GOT BACK FROM GEORGIA THIS MONTH, WE FOUND OUR REAL ESTATE TAXES HERE WENT UP OVER $2,000.00 SINCE LAST YEAR’S. I’M 81 AND MY WIFE IS 71, BUT THAT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE; YOU CAN ONLY DECLARE A SENIOR EXEMPTION IN ONLY ONE STATE.

  • Dick N

Meh. I remember the very same concerns being voiced about the Japanese in the 1980′s before their economy tanked. When it did, they took a bath and sold it back for in many cases considerably less than they paid. The Cninese economy is already slowing down, and their growth model is unsustainable too for the same reason the Japanese one was–it’s based on exports. Frankly, I have no issue with thousands or even tens of thousands of Chinese coming over here and experiencing a freer (if not ideally free) society than they have at home. It will invariably lead to increasing democratization there too over time.

  • http://www.restarco.com Rich

A lot of them will lose billions like the Japanese did twenty-some years ago (remember when they bought Pebble Beach golf course?). Their buying a lot of premium properties at high prices and low return, but they are pretty safe places to park a lot of money. Myself, I’m going after property a tier down from that, where you can make great returns even if you can’t pay all cash!

    • GaryToo

dick and rich, it is not the same thing at all. firstly the scale is vastly huger. secondly it is not about investment for return it is about colonization. that is colonization and exporting produce back to china leaving the locals hungry. it is not benign development that benefits everyone.
