It’s Official: Over A Trillion Dollars A Year Will Be Added To The Debt During Obama’s Presidency

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

America Is BrokeUnder Barack Obama, the U.S. national debt has risen from $10,626,877,048,913.08 on January 20th, 2009 to $18,795,033,928,275.59 on December 21st, 2015.  That means that the debt that we are passing on to future generations has increased by 8.16 trillion dollars since Barack Obama was inaugurated.  There is still a little more than a year to go in Obama’s presidency, and it is already guaranteed that Obama will add more than a trillion dollars a year to the national debt during his presidency.  In fact, when you do the math, we are stealing more than 100 million dollars from future generations of Americans every single hour of every single day.  It is a crime of a magnitude that is almost unimaginable, and at this point it is mathematically impossible for the U.S. government to pay off all of this debt.  To say that we are in trouble would be a massive understatement.

And of course not all of the blame goes to Obama.  The Republicans have had control of the House of Representatives for all but two years while Obama has been in the White House, and they have gone along with all of this reckless spending.  Without the approval of the House, Obama could not spend a single penny, but the Republicans have consistently chosen not to stand up to him.  In fact, the Republicans in Congress just approved another massive 1.2 trillion dollar spending bill that essentially gave the Democrats every single thing that they wanted.  House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi even admitted that the Republicans “were willing to concede so much” during the negotiations.

So why do we even have a Republican Party?  They always just go along with pretty much whatever the Democrats want anyway.  Why shouldn’t we just disband the Republican Party and let the Democrats completely run things?  How would Washington D.C. be any different if the Republicans didn’t even exist?

At this point, even Rush Limbaugh is completely disgusted with the Republican Party…

I have a headline here from the Washington Times:  “White House Declares Total Victory Over GOP in Budget Battle.” That headline’s a misnomer.  There was never a battle.  None of this was opposed.  The Republican Party didn’t stand up to any of it, and the die has been cast for a long time on this.  I know many of you are dispirited, depressed, angry, combination of all of that. But, folks, there was no other way this could go. Because two years ago when the Republican Party declared they would never do anything that would shut down the government and they would not impeach Obama, there were no obstacles in Obama’s way and there were no obstacles in the way of the Democrat Party.

Do you remember when Republican politicians were running around promising that they would defund Obamacare?

That didn’t happen.

Do you remember when Republican politicians were running around promising that they would defund Planned Parenthood?

That didn’t happen.

Do you remember when Republican politicians were running around promising that they would defund Obama’s refugee program?

That didn’t happen.

In this new spending deal, the Republicans got nothing.  It was a sham, a farce and a total insult to the American people.  Here is more from Rush Limbaugh

It fully funds Planned Parenthood.  That, to me, is unforgivable, with everything now known about what goes on behind closed doors at Planned Parenthood, and that the federal government, led by a Republican Party, sees fit to pay for it.  It is beyond comprehension, and it is a total squandering of moral authority to fully fund the butchery at Planned Parenthood.  This spending bill fully pays for Obama’s refugee plans, fully.  This spending bill, this budget bill quadruples the number of visas Obama wants for foreign workers.  This is even a slap at American union workers.  Not the leaders.  The union leaders seem to be in favor of it, but blue-collar people, known as working people, have been sold down the river along with everybody else here.

This spending bill even fully pays for every dime asked for by Obama on all of this idiocy that’s tied up into climate change.  Everything Obama wanted, everything he asked for, he got.  You go down the list of things, it’s there.

Even after watching all of the undercover Planned Parenthood videos that came out over the past year, the Republicans in Congress still voted to fund the harvesting and sale of body parts from aborted babies.

And surveys have found that the American people support the continued funding of Planned Parenthood by about a 2 to 1 margin.  After everything that we have seen, the vast majority of Americans still want to continue giving those butchers hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars a year.

No wonder so many people are comparing America to Nazi Germany these days.  We truly have become an exceedingly wicked nation.

We like to think that we are an “example” for the rest of the planet, but in reality the only example that we are is a bad one.  Our guilt has been put on display for all the world to see, and yet we just continue to race toward even more evil.

Not only did the Republicans not defund Planned Parenthood, the truth is that not a single pro-life amendment of any sort even got into the bill thanks to Paul Ryan.  The following comes from lifesitenews.com

“The bill failed to include a single major pro-life policy rider, despite the requests of over 120 members of Congress and the disturbing revelations about Planned Parenthood brought to light this year,” said Congresswoman Diane Black, R-TN, who voted against the bill.

The House Freedom Caucus offered a series of amendments to the bill defunding Planned Parenthood, strengthening conscience protections for pro-life physicians and organizations, and ending all U.S. funding for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The House Rules Committee rejected these riders earlier this week, as Speaker Paul Ryan said he did not want conservative amendments added to the bill that would drive away his Democratic colleagues.

The committee also rejected an amendment to increase vetting of refugees who enter the United States from the terrorist hotbeds of Syria and Iraq, which had previously passed the House, with 47 Democrats adding strong bipartisan support.

Like I said, the Republicans completely capitulated, just like they always do.

Now the U.S. national debt is nearly double the size that it was just before the last financial crisis struck, and our leaders continue to borrow and spend as if there is no tomorrow.

Perhaps they have convinced themselves that there will never be any consequences for acting so foolishly.

Perhaps they believe that in the end everything will turn out okay somehow.

Perhaps they are able to rationalize the theft of more than a hundred million dollars an hour from future generations of Americans.

But nothing can erase what they have done to us.  The promising future that our children and our grandchildren should have had has been completely wiped out, and the leading edge of the greatest economic crisis that any of us has ever known is now upon us.

If we had done things differently, things wouldn’t have had to turn out this way.  But now the die is cast, and we are all going to pay a very high price for the mistakes that have been made in Washington.

  • Jorma

Merry Christmas Michael – to you and your family.

  • Tatiana Covington

    Just don’t pay it!

  • autofixer

But my liberal friends say Obamao cut the deficit in half. And it’s Bush’s fault and stuff.

    • Guest

The annual budget deficit and the national debt are two different things.

  • Maneb

What makes you think future generations will pay our future pensions? They will do like Europe…you get a pension but you live in poverty. The elderly will be scavenging in garbage and sleeping in the streets. Debt HAS CONSEQUENCES!!!!!!!!

    • CASTIEL

in south europe its like you said…..but france england and germany things are still good….i dont know how long they will keep up…but so far its still good

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

      Gold Star………..well said !.

  • winnie the pooh

This puts a whole new meaning of “pay it forward”

  • djc

Michael, this is perhaps your finest column.

I fault the Republicans much more than the Democrats for the disaster thats enveloping us. The Democrat’s were absolutely truthful in doing what they said they would do. The Republicans do nothing but lie, lie, lie. They NEVER do what they campaign on. Does anyone really think Paul Ryan would help Donald Trump if he’s elected President? Really?

At this point in time its probably better for each individual to put his own house in order for the eventual disintegration of the US rather than thinking the situation can improve.

    It won’t.

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

Yup…………..get your underwater house in order !

    • tacoma

The U.S. national financial position can no longer be solves by any politician, any economist, any CEO, or any form of lucky miracle. It can be solved only by a national renewal where the name U.S.A. no longer exist. Don’t believe me? Check how U.S.S.R. no longer existed. Problem solved.

      • Mike Smithy

        Welcome back Tacoma.

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

I appreciate that you recognize the Republican hand in this. The Dems did an almost equal muck up though too.

      • djc

I agree. They’re both subsets of the same party—–The Party of Goldman Sachs.

      • Rick

Very true. We get screwed from both sides

    • Rick

I think Russia looks nice this time of year. Very reasonable properties as well.

  • Bubba Johnson

    Hug a conservative.
    If you can find one.

  • Guest

    Michael,

I’m interested in your opinion as to whether Trump could turn this nation around if he were to become the next president. I personally don’t think so as I think we passed the point of no return quite some time ago.

    • Crashed_and_Burned

If Trump wins, he will be assinated, just like JFK, unless he never leaves the White House and appoints his own security agents and dismisses the Secret Service.

    • we_have_one_that_can_see

there is no way anyone becomes president unless they are part of the oligarchy,..you have to be prepared to tow the line,..and push this country towards a stated goal, they want one world government,..one currency,.and one religion

    • William Lutz

I personally don’t think so either and I also believe that this country is broke beyond repair as of now. Even a super wealthy real estate savvy guy cannot afford to pay our national debt, which doesn’t even count other major liabilities. NOBODY is capable of reversing the damage that has been done. Period.

      • Mondobeyondo

Oh, you mean a certain guy named Trump? He makes me nervous. Yes, he’s had lots of success in real estate. But he’s also had a penchant for his properties going bankrupt. Seeing that the U.S. is practically bankrupt now… hey, might as well give him a chance!

        • Donald Wilson

          The USA is bankrupt.

          • GSOB

            And at war

        • unbubbleslayr

Many casino’s went bankrupt not just Trumps.

      • unbubbleslayr

Shut the whole government down and we’d pay over $1 trillion a year towards the national debt.

    • Mike Smithy

True. We are witnessing generational theft on a massive scale. It’s immoral and selfish beyond belief. Our posterity will curse us for what we have done to them.

      • Rick

You are assuming we have a posterity… The book of Revelation does not speak or infer anything about this country or one that looks like it. We may just be wiped off the face of the earth soon. How much patience does God have?

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

Donald is a Show Man. He is prone to offending.
      He will not win.
Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE PLanned Parenthood!

      • Rick

Why do you LLL PP? We’re you aborted?

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

          No, we’re you aborted?
I am all for CHOICE!!!! Yeaahhh!! :)

          • GSOB

            Colossians 3:6
Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

            Because of these what?

          • Rick

Sorry Sunny, I was distracted by your photo. You look kind of dead!

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

            I shoulda used more makeup..lol

      • GSOB

        2 Thessalonians 2:11 12

‘For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.’

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

GSOB, atheists don’t get delusions from God.. It’s just not in our religion.

          • ConcernedCitizen

What religion are you referring to, Sunny? Athiesm is about not believing in any religion. To an athiest, there is no such thing as a god. It sounds like you are a little confused. Would you mind expounding on the reason you LLL PP? Choice has nothing to do with PP. If you are referring to the choice of abortion, PP does well less than half of the abortions in this country. One who wants one can still seek it out without using tax dollars.

      • Rebel w/out a Cause

Here we go with the pot-stirring Snotress again. Do you keep score, Sunny? On average, how many people do you get a rise of in one day?

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

5.. but I’m working on it.. actually, I’m just expressing myself.. that is why we are here

    • Creepy Pedro

Doesnt matter who gets in, they will have to continue the agenda that has been in place for over 60 years

      • unbubbleslayr

That agenda was continued through career politicians, this can change with trump.

        • Creepy Pedro

it wont change…..he wont be allowed to deviate, besides he will never audit or abolish the fed.

    • Steeve Girard

He will do nothing concrete. All people like the politicians, top business people, economists are sociopaths. They are only after a fiction that can coerce masses of people into their bidding.
      .
The first thing we should understand is where our allegiances lies to. It lies with our folk and family. As for our faith, it has been coerced or attempted to be coerced for too long by false imaginary beliefs. Such as we own the Earth, and we split it amongst ourselves according to a value and how many units of values you personally own. Also the beliefs in flying “man wieners” (angels and single God), which are remnants of a sex cult, to coerce our morality.
      .
Those people, wants us to be disconnected from each other, socially and emotionally (with the exception of labour), in order to make us into system slaves. Which in the Old Ways: understanding that you are part of the Earth, that you share everything with everyone else, and with every form of life on this world, is never in the interest of fiat based wealth. They will do everything in their power to destroy our links to each other and the physical world.
So no, Trump would not have my trust personally. And so will any politician who is in for the money, power and prestige. Being someone running for office should be in full knowing faith, for the responsibility! Knowing, that personally, they are the only ones who can take that burden. It’s a matter of sacrifice, which I few none of them ready for it.

    • unbubbleslayr

He won’t go along with the status quo, that is a good start.

  • MIchael in Chicago

All three of my traitorous Republi-CAN’T, so-called ” representatives “, in CON-gress CAVED; voting ” Yea “! Giving King Barry all the money he wants!? These bastards further proved who / what they are! After Christmas … I’ll prepare my letter to each one. ( I don’t want them to interfere with Christmas celebrations ). However, I’m already writing notes of points I’ll include in my letters. I WILL TORCH those SOBs!

Caver / Kisser Boehner and now, his appointed replacement, Caver / Kisser Ryan and Kick-Back Mitch used the same LAME excuse for their negligence. Something like: NEXT TIME we’ll do this or that! Well, we’ve seen that NEXT TIME NEVER HAPPENS!

  • Cool Slim

The national debt is meaningless, and anyone who believes otherwise has been brainwashed.

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

Can I get your theory to work on my credit cards…………….lol.

      • Cool Slim

Ah, well your credit card debt is private debt, in a currency you do not control. It is possible for you to default on your credit card debt.

The so called national debt is simply a 19Trillion dollar stock of money, that has been placed in one big savings account. It is impossible for the US to default on the national debt.

        • democrap

Majority of the national debt is owed to foriegn governments or foriegn nationals. The physical currency are likewise debt and most of it is held by foriegn nationals. Majority of private debts are held by foriegn nationals. So what will happen if those debt were called? What will the US give them in return? They don’t need our paper currency.

          • Cool Slim

It doesn’t matter who holds the debt. The important thing is the currency that the debt is denominated in.

The national debt is denominated in US dollars. Can the US run out of dollars?

No it cannot. Therefore default is impossible.

          • ray finckle

You’re right the fed can print all it wants, but eventually they will destroy the currency. And that is exactly what the fed is going to do.

          • Cool Slim

Inflation is running at 0.1%. The past incidents of hyperinflation have usually been due to economic collapse/foreign currency debt.

          • Mike Smithy

Dream on. Nobody believes the BS statistics coming from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). If you want to know the truth you should go to Shadow Stats. Anyone that isn’t a Kool Aid drinker and is intellectually honest knows that.

          • Cool Slim

I will look at shadow stats, inflation is hard to measure, because you obviously have to adjust for the change in quality of product.

          • democrap

Any soveriegn nation in the world can print their own currency indefinitely but eventually their currency collapses and become worthless. I know you’re relying on the USD as a global reserve but what will happen if another powerful country challenges that confidence on USD is lost? We immediately become Argentina or even worst. Hyperinflation will be immediate. War can also destroy confidence in the USD.

          • Cool Slim

You are correct about inflation, inflation is the only real constraint on government spending.

Being a reserve currency simply makes imports cheaper, it doesn’t affect the ability of the government to meet domestic spending commitments.

Argentina had debt denominated in a currency it didn’t control, US Dollars. This example does not apply to the US.

          • democrap

Exactly as i’ve been saying, Argentina has debt dominated in usd because they’re not global reserve. What will happen to the usd if it’s no longer the global reserve?

USD as global reserve doesn’t just make import cheaper…it increases US debt because all the profit they get from trade deficits is used to buy US treasuries which are debt.

          • Cool Slim

If the USD is no longer global reserve currency then imports become more expensive.

I agree with you that the reserve currency status increases the national debt. All that money that flows out of the country is exchanged for treasury securities.

          • Mike Smithy

Then how do you explain the economic collapse of Zimbabwe?

          • Cool Slim

Zimbabwe had an economic collapse due to the transfer of farmland from white people to blacks. As you might expect, the blacks were mostly unable to farm and did not produce enough food to sustain the economy. Agriculture was a big part of the Zimbabwean economy so when that collapsed the whole economy collapsed.

        • Bill G Wilminton NC

          Your smokin some good stuff……..

        • NowAlive

“…been placed in one big savings account.” I’ve never heard of a “savings account” that has a negative balance, of any amount. This is logically contradictory. Could you clarify that one?

          • Cool Slim

It is not logically contradictory. A liability on one balance sheet is by definition an asset on another.

The US national debt is a liability of the US government, however it is a liability that will always be met. When the government ‘borrows’ it is simply converting one form of money into a form of money that pays interest.

The money doesn’t go anywhere, because the government spends by creating money out of thin air.

    • Mike Smithy

Since the National Debt doesn’t matter, why does the IRS bother to collect taxes from the plebs? The BEP and U.S. Treasury can just print fiat to pay its bills, right? Every nation has an economic breaking point and the USA is staring into the abyss. Ignorance of macro economics will not save you Cool Slim.

      • Cool Slim

If the government doesn’t print money, then where else do dollars come from?

The government spends by printing, it always has done and always will.

        • Mike Smithy

Don’t make the mistake of confusing dollars with money. The dollar is nothing more than fiat. Real money has intrinsic value. I.E. Platinum coins, Gold coins, Silver coins, Copper coins. Believe it or not, the USA once practiced fiscal discipline and had balanced budgets year after year until that SOB Keynes came along.

          • Cool Slim

Anything we define as money is money, we could use carrots as money if we wanted.

I can’t imagine the USA running a balanced budget, the economy needs a growing money supply, which is why the government deficit spends.

          • Mike Smithy

Wrong again. True money has a long term store of value that is protected as a result of scarcity. FRN paper and carrots are not scarce.

      • James

Without limit, the BEP and U.S. Treasury can just print fiat to pay its bills, right? No, there is a difference between monetary and fiscal policy. The IRS bothers to collect taxes because how else would the NIH be funded?

        • Cool Slim

There is a limit, the limit is the amount of goods and services in the economy available for purchase in US dollars.

          Spending comes before tax.

        • Mike Smithy

Who cares about the National Institute of Health? Even if we did care, why can’t the BEP just load their freshly printed fiat into a helicopter and drop it on NIH headquarters every 2 weeks? True Keynesians know that the notion of tax payers is obsolete. All the government needs is a printing press, right?

    • tacoma

Sure its meaningless. So send an email to Fed Chair and ask her to burn up the balance sheet.

Liberals have taken over both political parties, the media, academia, Hollywood and the judicial system. Until you get them out of ALL those areas, this country is completely screwed.

Liberalism/Progressivism: A thin veneer of tolerance and caring laid of an ocean of intolerance and hatred.

      • SunnyFlaSnotress

It was Bush’s fault to get us into such a quagmire. No liberal there.

        • Jerry C

Good God you’re a lunatic. Stop blaming the predecessor, take responsibility and start trying to fix the problem. But it’s BUSH’s fault! Geesh.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

Do you really think that the Iraq invasion made the Middle East less radical? Was it really worth all the time, lives, and money?

          • Jerry C

Bush Sr. is just a puppet; as well as Clinton, Bush Jr. and all Presidents going back to JFK. It actually goes back further to 1913, so it’s beyond Bush’s years. To be honest, it goes back thousands of years before that. The End Game is a one-world order and you’re bickering about one of the puppets as if the others are any better. Peace to you; however, most of us on the bottom rung have to deal with the evil reality.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

afchief started the fault-finding. I have to set the record straight that this was a conservative issue long ago.

It IS Bush’s fault.. along with other poor Republican policy makers of the past.

        • afchief

You are still blaming Bush? Are you for real?????

      • Cool Slim

There is no difference between left wing and right wing, I wish there was but there isn’t.

  • K

Why is there still a Republican party? To let the low information voters, fool themselves, into thinking there is a choice. And yes they are in the majority. Here is how I have heard it in TN. Vote for a democrat, you go to hell. Vote for any third party, you are most likely, some kind of subversive. So you have to vote republican. And try not to pay any attention, to what they do after elected. I kid you not. I have heard this from more people, than you can imagine.

  • Rufus T Firefly

Did anyone ever think the Reptilians were going to be any more fiscally responsible than the Demonocrats? Especially when you look how Raygun and Dumbya massively inflated the debt before the Obamessiah came along to do it even more?

  • Orac4Prez

Merry Christmas Everyone! Well, one thing for certain. No coal for naughty kids this year! Now that we have a global agreement on climate change, it would be so wrong for Santa to do that! Perhaps “Santa Obama” will just hand over a bag of bills (!!!) for everyone instead.

    • stroea

Why? We already got the bills.

  • GetReal4U2

While I would vote for Cruz or whoever wins on the republican side….I have a strange “feeling” we might now have another election…failing to de-fund…or slow down planned parenthood speaks volumes…may God help us all…

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

I still can’t decide which party I want to be for the next election.. Republican to vote Trump out or Democrat to vote Clinton in.

      • Creepy Pedro

        Neither.

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

Oh no.. I ALWAYS like to get my vote in..even for the lesser offices.

  • BeenThere

The answer is simple. America is not worried about how big the debt gets because she is never going to pay it back and what can those she owes the money to do about it. The USA in spite of its troubles is still militarily the most powerful nation on earth. It is now also the world’s only nuclear superpower, there is no way those who lend it money can ever collect so there is no way the USA is worried about the size of the debt. It is indeed somebody else’s problem.

    • tacoma

Sure. So let’s have a big nuclear war and wipe everything clean.

    • Gay Veteran

“…The USA in spite of its troubles is still militarily the most powerful nation on earth….”

and yet we can’t defeat a bunch of goat herders in Afghanistan

      • BeenThere

Ah but you don’t owe them trillions of dollars and they haven’t come collecting :)

  • Zerozee0

They’re actually doing their damndest to ensure the collapse of the system, and then they’ll hunker down in a secure location, to live out their lives on their ill-gotten gains while in office….

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

Yes…………trust in Jesus ………….He is Coming Soon.

    • Steeve Girard

Actually I am for the collapse, that will end-up that bullcrap system we are in. Because that will force people to reconnect to what is essential for life. Folk and family. And also force the faith back to Nature.

That day they will learn that you cannot eat money.

  • XSANDIEGOCA

This will not end well. If interest rates return to a modest and historical 5%, the “vig” on the debt will be…1 trillion a year. Anyone have any ideas how we shall pay for it? We won’t, of course, we shall continue to print, slash SS and Medicare, sell our seed corn. I can honestly see a day when Americans will sit starving as their wheat rolls by on its way to the West Coast and China to pay our bills.

Assuming you actually had a Trillion Dollars to loan to the USA, would you Loan it knowing you’ll never get it back. Just lucky then, this money doesn’t exist, so if you started with nuthin’, and you don’t get it back, what have you lost, NUTTIN’. Isn’t the US Banking System great.

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

But the debt that creaed it does…………

  • fwalker2016

Obviously the writer knows less about fractional reserve banking than he does about capital markets. The fear mongering is past the point of insanity. Perhaps a quick education of Exters Pyramid may help shed some light on how capital markets are structured, interconnected and function. After hundreds of ludicrously incorrect random guesses you’d think the writer would recognize his own pattern of failures and seek an education rather than prove such foolishness and cluelessness beyond any doubt whatsoever.

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

State the facts so we can all learn………

    • Harry Merkin

      We’re waiting teacher.
      How does it work?

  • dlewenz

Not only is our 20 trillion debt going to be the demise of the country, put when we implode so will the rest of the world, as our currency will be devalued to 30 cents on the dollar. With China in the tank and on the verge of recession, they will fall with 13 trillion of debt, if that is the true number? In China, a lie is the truth.

    • fwalker2016

      Media sure has you spun

    • J B

Whoever becomes the Next Prez (Hillary) the total Debt , assuming she goes 8 years (but I reckon she’ll last only 4) will be more than 40 Trillion. But if the Banksters crash it in say 18 months, then all bets are off and anything could happen. Which is why whoever does win, will only get 4 years, unless there’s a Coup. And Coups have happened in Ukraine, Libya, Italy, Greece, Canada and Australia

      • fwalker2016

        Ridiculously delusioal.

        • J B

          Clearly NOT
Under Obongo’s watch he will have doubled the Debt from when he entered the Office. He has added more Debt than all the previous Presidents combined. The debt is now Increasing Exponentially.
You can’t taper a Ponzi Scheme, and the USA runs the biggest Ponzi Scheme on the planet.

          • Bill G Wilminton NC

And if you paid it all off there would be no money in circulation because our currency IS ALL DEBT BASED as it is borrowed into existence.

          • Steeve Girard

Worst it is all not real, it is only trusted value. Which only exist as information.

          • J B

Exactly, the only way to pay back the 20 Trillion is to borrow 20 Trillion + Interest + any new money you need, and there’s only one way to pay that new loan back.

People should try this trick with their Visa card and see how far you get.

          • Bill G Wilminton NC

            Haha lol………………..

Trump believes the official 911 story. Just don’t trust any presidential candidate who is blind enough to swallow that story.

I agree with the post that mentioned “there is no way anyone becomes president unless they are part of the oligarchy”

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

That is a scary thought………..but real. We all know that 9/11 was an inside job.

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

Are you sure Trump believes the official 9 11 story?

Being part of the Oligarchy to be Pres is a real thought and I have had this thought also. So far Mr Trump has not touched on the Fed Reserve which is the head of the Octopus .

I am afraid for his safety.

The phrase ‘unfunded’ is a misleading phrase. The government doesn’t need to fund spending commitments with tax dollars. By definition, the government must first spend in order to tax.

  • Lazarovic

Does the writer realize we are a Republic? If you don’t have the votes in Congress, you don’t get to pass the law/policy, it’s really that simple. That’s why the business of government is COMPROMISE. Compromise and you’ll get a little, the other side will get a little. Keep up the “my way or the highway” obstruction, and you’ll get exactly what we have, gridlock. And a candidate named Trump, who people are turning to out of their frustration with bad government and ideologically rigid politicians.

Not even President Lincoln could save this country. The fascists in the senate would never allow the good people Lincoln…or anyone for that matter, into the positions that would do this country good because ejecting them would be top priority. To put it bluntly…nothing short of a totally devastating war leaving the vast majority of our political infrastructure emaciated will ever rout out these vermin who have already conquered our nation from within and turned it into their playground.

The problem is the same one that Jesus faced with the Jewish leadership. Nothing really has changed.
Why would they act different today than they did then?
The scam that is the Republican Party is alive and well in Washington, D.C. and is likely to be alive and well for at least the next 20 years.
Ted Cruz is either your next Vice President or possibly Donald Trump is going to be your next Vice President.
The alternative is not Mrs. Clinton. It is Mr. Sanders.
Mr. Sanders is on a clear track to the White House.
When 300 or more members of Congress vote for a Security Act that allows a police force to bypass due process then you know what party they actually belong to.
National Socialists of America seem to be in control of it all.
IF there is a controlling immortal called the Devil, Satan, or any number of names, then that Devil is laughing right now.
And why? Because it is all a Devil’s setup in the Congress.
That became plain when Planned Parenthood was financed by the government by both political parties. They did this because they can.
No one in November, will remember what they did in December of this year. And both parties count on that to get people elected.
Ordinary events normally have a life expectancy in public memory of just about 3 days.
It is important for a small group(less than 6% of the population) control what is said in the news media. Because the 3 day rule applies. If it is not remarked on every 3 days, then it becomes lost in the public mind.
That public mind consists of people that go to work every day and come home every day to a meal, and PTA, and numerous other activities. Then they go to sleep watching the mindless box and awake the next morning to do it all over again. They are basically in the early stages of memory loss.
And no one is at the switch when Congress does all kinds of outrageous things.
You can sell the entire world down the river and no one will pay long term attention to what you have done.
And they do sell us all down the river . . .
They sell candidates not on what they do. They sell candidates by producing an image. The best image often wins.
Thus you control how a person votes(about 80% of the time at a guess) and you control the world.
The genius behind Microsoft was the concept of keeping it simple stupid. So they put Windows together to be consumed by the public at a level of about 1st grade. Most human memory is designed to remember images. They did a good job. Icons all over the screen are images. The current windows 10 is full of images on the desktop.
So is staying in Congress a matter of producing the right image.
Donald Trump is a master at producing an image. That is why despite everything he says he is at roughly 30-40% of the polls right now. Despite a lot of talk straight out of Archie Bunkerisms.
Ted Cruz is very intelligent. He also has a track record of when he cannot win a situation of simply not voting.
The power behind a throne is often a person in the background that no one actually knows. This election is no different.
The choice is going to be Trump, Cruz, Sanders, or even Clinton. Personally Mrs. Clinton is a champion surf rider of politics. But even she cannot postpone forever the charges against her. So I suspect Sanders will be the Democrat running.
The only chance that Cruz has is to align himself with Trump.
This country has a vast history behind it and not the one you are taught in High School Civics classes.
When I was in school, little was made of the deal made with the Devil.
The Devil at the time was Joseph Stalin. Without which World War II may just have been lost.
The deal after the war left all of us with a Cold War situation.
I am looking to see who will negotiate a deal with the Devil in the current situation. Because the Congress lies. Lies are the currency of the Devil. He is known as the Father of all lies.
Reagan was an actor. Actors are masters of the lie. They are masters of image.
Reagan’s deal with the Devil was to put Bush in as his Vice President. The double-cross was when he was shot in an assassination attempt which would have left Vice President Bush in the White House.
Trump’s deal with the Devil will likely be his choice of Vice President.
Then look out. Because assassination by motivated people is all part of the game of politics. Then the Devil wins the battle because his candidate becomes the most powerful leader in the world.
It almost happened that way in the 80s.
Those people that voted to fund Planned Parenthood are the Devil’s very own disciples. That is obvious.
I use capital letters to designate personal pronouns. There is no clear evidence that the Devil actually exists. There is a whole lot of trace evidence that the entire Congress is doing the Devil’s work.

  • James

Do you remember when Republican politicians were running around promising that they would defund Planned Parenthood?

And how that would not decrease government spending as medicaid and medicare would be paying the same amount for BC pills and Truvada from other healthcare centers that are not owned by Planned Parenthood?

  • greanfinisher .

Why bother to even vote if what one is actually doing is applying a rubber stamp to some stooge that’s been previously hand-picked by the oligarchs?

  • James

Do you remember when Republican politicians were running around promising that they would defund Obama’s refugee program?

Like less than 0.1% of the budget?

  • James

The bill failed to include a single major pro-life policy rider, despite the requests of over 120 members of Congress and the disturbing revelations about Planned Parenthood brought to light this year,”

All investigations into Planned Parenthood came out with nothing other than the fact that the revelations were fake and the videos were editied.
A single pro-life rider. Oh well, state governments have taken care of that for you.

  • James

Do you remember when Republican politicians were running around promising that they would defund Obamacare?

Like how you need a 66% of congress to do that?

  • James

In this new spending deal, the Republicans got nothing.

How about oil export ban lifted?

    EPA/USFWS/NPS/USFS/BLM/DOE/DOI budgets?

  • James

    It fully funds Planned Parenthood

Or it keeps PP on the Medicare/Medicaid lists.

  • James

That, to me, is unforgivable, with everything now known about what goes on behind closed doors at Planned Parenthood

Bldg 7 came down the same way as the towers but it had no reason to FALL………look into that.

    • James

Have you ever heard of something called flying debris and failed gas pipes?

      • Rebel w/out a Cause

James, surely you’re not that naive?

I think James might be blowing some serious grass…….I could use some if its this GOOD. lol

        • James

Surely such a well executed attack would not leave such an obvious piece of evidence?

      • Bill G Wilminton NC

Have you ever heard of flying cows neither have I…….bldg seven came down hours after the towers…..I’ve had bad gas a few times too.!

        • James

Yes flying debris attacks Bldg7’s base and failing gas pipes contribute

          • Bill G Wilminton NC

Sorry but I am a believer that buildings do not fall straight down at free fall gravity speed unless aided. And the architect of the bldgs Twin Towers said the same thing. Also the entire area was covered with thermite dust (not termite dust lol) Thermite is an extremely flammable product which burns at over 4000 degrees. Bldg 7 did not even have jet fuel to blame. The conspiracy theorists present the evidence and the facts and STILL SOME PEOPLE want to believe anything but the TRUTH.

Next I will be hearing that ants undermined the footings lol. and the ants were carrying little bags of thermite to eat for lunch.

How many other multi floor buildings in the world have fallen STRAIGHT DOWN.?????

          • James

Sorry but I am a believer that buildings do not fall straight down at free fall gravity speed unless aided. Aided by fires and a collapsed bottom and the weight of 40 stories. Yes

Thermite is created with a metal oxide and metal power fuel. Something that does not happen when a metal building collapses (see sarcasm). To say that this could not have been at Bldg7 is ridiculus.

Also the entire area was covered with thermite dust (not termite dust lol) Thermite is an extremely flammable product which burns at over 4000 degrees.

Sorry to inform you but thermite melts at 1220 degrees F and creates temperatures of 4000 degrees. Big difference.

The conspiracy theorists present the evidence and the facts and STILL SOME PEOPLE want to believe anything but the TRUTH.
Yes, because your facts are fallicious and collapse in the face of evidence

How many other multi floor buildings in the world have fallen STRAIGHT DOWN.?????

Singapore’s New World Hotel. It feel straight down due a mathematical error in planning. To say piles of debris, unattended fires, awkward architecture (Con Ed substation), and structural damage from flying debris can’t collapse a building is laughable. Also FYI, BLDG7 was not the only building that was damaged, literally every building within a 10 mile radius was damaged in some way.

          • Bill G Wilminton NC

Buildings do not fall at free fall speed unless aided……the AID was thermite and it left a RESIDUE all over the site….AS I SAID.

What you havent got in your head is that the THERMITE was planted long before the collapse. The thermite was ignited by the crash. ……BY DESIGN.

Thermite was used over 100 years ago on the railroad tracks, cutting and fusing the rails together.

I saw molten steel pouring out of one of the 81 st floor windows and jet fuel does not produce enough heat to create molten. The heat from Jet fuel burning may weaken the structural integrity but never enough to create free fall speed. NEVER !

The Singapore Hotel had concrete pilings that slowly lost their integrity and was 6 stories.

Why do you waste time mine and yours defending a corrupt, immoral, government. If you believe this story do you also believe that Oswald shot Kennedy and that there was no way to save our Libya Ambassador Chris Stevens and the three heroes that tried to defend him. And maybe Bergdahl is really a hero and not a deserter.

When do you get it ? that our gov will stop at nothing NOTHING to accomplish NWO.

The world trade center attack was the pivot step that allowed the Patriot Act, the airport security joke named TSA but the packages in the underbelly are still not checked.

Since 9 11 our Constitution has been constantly shredded. And if we make it to the election without either martial law or a financial collapse I will be greatly surprised. All by DESIGN.

  • Bill G Wilminton NC

Bldg 7 came down the same as the towers.

  • James

The union leaders seem to be in favor of it, but blue-collar people, known as working people, have been sold down the river along with everybody else here.

How bad must the blue-collar workers be to be outsourced to non english speaking mexicans?

This spending bill even fully pays for every dime asked for by Obama on all of this idiocy that’s tied up into climate change. Everything Obama wanted, everything he asked for, he got.

U.S. funding for the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Providing IUD’s to women in Africa is that big a deal? The UNFPA tries to reduce population growth rate by promoting education, making women equal to men, and providing cheap/free contraception.

    Sounds so controversial.

  • James

The committee also rejected an amendment to increase vetting of refugees who enter the United States from the terrorist hotbeds of Syria and Iraq,

Yes people trying to run away for ISIS are part of ISIS.
    LOLOLOL

    • Gay Veteran

what easier way for ISIS to enter this country

      • James

If some ISIS member wanted to go to the US they could easily get a student or tourist visa.
It is much quicker than a refugee asylum.

        • Gay Veteran

well then, obviously there will be no ISIS members among the refugees
          /sarc/

          • James

Again if ISIS really cared, ISIS could just get a student or tourist visa.
            It is not that hard

Perhaps they are able to rationalize the theft of more than a hundred million dollars an hour from future generations of Americans.

    Please look up US GDP.
Also future generations can benefit by buying US Bonds.
Treasury bonds are still the safest investment

  • Mondobeyondo

I can remember very clearly, back in the early 1980’s, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, the U.S. national debt was not even one trillion dollars. That was around 1981-82ish. Those seem like the good old days in comparison to now.
Clinton (arguably) did manage to balance the budget for a couple of years during his turn. Bush Jr. pressed the spending pedal to the medal (most of that was because of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan). But Obama takes the cake. He’s blown the fiscal doors wide open.
At this point, I don’t see any way back to fiscal responsibility. It’s too late.

One Word – Pathetic – there no longer exists a two Party System – the Republican party died with the appointment of {crocodile tears} Boehner (really before that) – Ryan is simply a proxy / substitute for the America hating John Boehner and Company!

All the current Dictator needs to do now it take away America’s only last resort of self defense – our 2nd Amendment rights:

Looking back, who has committed murder in the largest degree? Dictators Adolf Hilter, Mao Tze Tung, Josef Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, etc.

Time and time again it has been a corrupt government who is responsible for the mass murder of their own people under the deceptive guise of “gun control,” all of which the said dictators implemented.

Keep in mind these people promised their citizens protection and freedom upon the forfeiture of their guns (and unfortunately the people – most of whom now deceased – fell for it)!

How many times, does history need to repeat itself?

George Santayana: “Those who do not learn from history are doomed
    / condemned to repeat it!”

Why has there been more publicly sensationalized mass shooting under Obama’s rule than the last 4 presidents’ combined???

My guess – at least 50% were orchestrated by our Federal government in order to promote demonizing guns and not the insane idiots that abuse them.

Then we have Fast and Furious – Obama and Holder’s obvious attempt to damage our 2nd Amendment rights by deliberately shipping powerful weapons to the Mexican cartels and blaming it on the innocent American gun dealers and citizens!

Now, even Sandy Hook is widely suspected to be a government set-up (and no, I am NOT the owner of any tin foil hats)!!!

Now, in order to complete their nefarious plan, the EVIL OBAMA ADMINISTRATION wants to rid innocents of their only means of self-defense – against criminals and imported terrorists (imported by whom one might wonder – the EVIL OBAMA ADMINISTRATION of course)!

They (the pure evil that resides in the White House & Congress) well know that once they’ve taken the innocent American publics’ guns away, they are free to mass exterminate all of us that do not fall into step with their evil intentions (New World Order where the few elite violently RULE over the unwashed masses – in case you’re wondering – those unwashed masses are us)!!!

Will we sit back and take it (our Congress no longer possesses any spine whatsoever – they all know that they either have a “seat at Obama’s table” or they’re on the menu) – or will the great people of this once great nation rebel as our forefathers so bravely did!

The annual budget deficit in 2009 was 1.2 Trillion, it has been reduced every year since. But it was so large to begin with that cutting it to zero would have been impossible, especially during the biggest recession since 1929. Thus we are left with a larger cumulative national debt.

Left unsaid is that the rate of government spending actually declined under Obama. From 2001-07, the federal budget increased 8% annually while the GOP had control of Congress and the white house. The GOP not only increased spending 56% during that time, they left the cost of wars off-budget! After the budget reconciliation act of 1993 finally gave us a surplus in 1998, 99, and 2000, it took the GOP only 6 months to destroy all progress on the deficit. Alan Greenspan testified to Congress (2001) in favor of the Bush tax cuts saying “we are in danger of paying down the debt too fast”.

Those are the numbers. You can call the Democrats the tax-and-spend party, but when you look at the numbers, the Republicans are the tax-cut-and-spend party.

The debt cannot be paid off as our money is borrowed into existence………..if all paid off there would be no money in circulation………think about that !

Mans’ failed attempt at self governing and deciding for himself what is good and bad, should be quite evident after some 6000 years of trying every conceivable form of government. God has let this experiment go on to illustrate that ruler ship apart from him will always end in failure.
Most of mankind ( especially people like steve girard) will never get it and will continue to look to some human to rule over them and then when that goes south again (like it always does),jump off a cliff like some demon possessed pigs!
Gods’ Kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ WILL soon erase all human government and blot out all who support it, then God can get on with his original purpose for the earth and all those who would submit to his benevolent rule.

The million dollar question is, “Where is the money all going?” Somehow we’re ‘spending’ over $100M an hour?
It isn’t on our infrastructure (power/water/etc).
    It isn’t on our highways.
    It isn’t on ‘creating jobs’.
So we’ve added $8T in debt for what, exactly…?

  • Rebel w/out a Cause

Personally, I think it’s all on purpose. Whoever is pulling the strings is PLANNING the collapse, because they think they can be on top when it happens. All the “little people” will suffer and die, and the elitists will have their utopia, free from the ‘useless eaters’. They really believe this. We’re all just going to be collateral damage. You know, ‘You gotta break a few eggs to make an omlette’ sort of thinking.
I think in the age of the Internet, it shouldn’t be too hard to track down these people, and convince them of the error of their ways before they bring the whole house down in pursuit of their fantasy. It wouldn’t surprize me if someone formed a group, similar to Anonymous, and started doing exactly that.

  • LWZRGHT

I agree that the national debt is a major problem. I agree that the deficit during Obama’s presidency has been way too high. At the same time, it was already $10 trillion when he took office, and the economy was in freefall in January of 2009. Had the government not done the bailouts it did, the economy would’ve fallen apart even more. It’s not as if the government’s policies of spending too much and taxing too little is a recent phenomenon. People should’ve been outraged long before now. Now, it is too late to fix the problem.
People should be outraged that commercial banks with FDIC insurance are allowed to invest in non-guaranteed investments. They should be outraged that exceptions are made to laws for large corporations that do not apply to small businesses. People should be the most outraged that lobbyists in Washington are the ones actually controlling legislation, and their power has trickled down to local and state governments too.
It’s easy to blame Obama, because things are bad during his watch. But the blame is really in America’s bathroom mirror, because we all voted for them, and we reap what we sow.

  • Guest

Their is no difference between the republicans and democrats they work together for their aganda. We the people need a leader that is by the people and for the people. What we have today is what our four fathers warned us about. We have a central bank and huge corps that run this country today. The USA was blessed with everything. We need a real leader that is not part of the system. Lifetime polotetions that go up to Washington and a couple years later they totally forget they are to reposent the people that voted for them. I think we still have a few good people that try to fight the fight. Just not enough of them.

  • Mike Smithy

I thought you Keynesian’s love inflation. Isn’t it the hidden oppressive tax that you libs fantasize about in the name of social justice.

    • James

      Not hyperinflation.
Also inflation hurts the poor the most. Tell me when libs were not about helping the poor

      • Mike Smithy

If libs really cared about helping the poor that would encourage them to move off the democrat plantation and enable them to learn life skills that doesn’t include a stipend of free gubmint cheese and a free Obama phone.

        • James

Wait, like supporting education and higher education funding, encouraging wage growth through unionization and raising minimum wages, sending drug addicts to treatment and the workforce instead of to prision?

While cons support gutting education/higher ed, and send everyone to jail for minor offenses, while destroying job prospects.

Why else would the majority of counties/states that recieve more welfare than they send in are republican while the majority of counties/states that send more than they recieve are democrat?

          • Mike Smithy

The goal of prison/incarceration is two fold; punishment and rehabilitation. If a doper breaks the law, then he/she should be punished first and rehabilitated second.

Why do libs always insist that spending more on education yields smarter kids. Numerous studies suggest that there is little if any correlation between the two.

Lastly, I find your last assertion dubious at best.

          • James

The goal of prison/incarceration is two fold; punishment and rehabilitation. If a doper breaks the law, then he/she should be punished first and rehabilitated second.
Yes, although today it is heavily focused on punishment not rehabilitation. Add into that inequities in policing and sentencing.
Why do libs always insist that spending more on education yields smarter kids. Numerous studies suggest that there is little if any correlation between the two
It does when schools are so underfunded they can’t afford electricity. However I do agree there is not too big a difference between 15k per student and 20k per student

How isn’t it true that the Democrats, for more than 100 years, oppressed blacks and, as an unintended consequence, poor whites in the south?

Yes but due to the Southern Strategy, the former democratic party is today’s republican party and the former Republican party is today’s democratic party

  • Poor Richard

The last time i read the Constitution, Congress sets the budget. GOP congress = tax breaks for those who need it the least. Tax breaks = taking money from the treasury.

  • TBonePickens

The national debt is government issued bonds, which many of you probably had in safety deposit boxes from when you were born. By buying these bonds that yield interest over 10-30 year periods, you’re investing in your government, and given them money to spend in the budget. Less than $1 trillion of our total national debt is owned by foreigners. The national debt is debt owned by Americans, for the most part. The national debt is not a problem because there is still such demand for U.S. government bonds, which are still the safest place on the entire Earth to park your money long term for a low return. Obama may be adding to the debt, but he has greatly reduced the deficit year to year from the 00 years.
What Obama fails to recognize is the danger our TRADE debt is to our country. This is debt owned almost completely by foreigners. It is massive too. Trillions of dollars. This is the real threat, to our future, because those foreigners take their trillions in U.S. dollars and buy our assets here, in America. 1/7 of ALL assets in the U.S. are now foreign owned. Why isn’t this taking precedent over the national debt, which is just money borrowed from our own citizens?

  • BornSkeptic

To compare what goes on at abortion clinics to Nazi Germany is ridiculous hyperbole. The people have spoken and they want abortions to continue. This is the norm not just in America, but in most of the world. Some may consider this murder; the majority believe this is simply allowing a woman ownership of her own body.

  • Poor Richard

Congress makes the budget… Who is in charge of all the tax giveaways for the wealthy? The Republicans in Congress thats who.

  • seekless

The spending by the Obama regime has never been this high at any other time.
