I am absolutely stunned by what I just witnessed.  After everything that has transpired over the past eight years, he is back.  Donald Trump has capped the greatest political comeback in U.S. history by winning the 2024 presidential election.  We were told that the polls were very tight and that it would be a very close election, but that wasn’t the case at all.  The votes were counted much more quickly this time around, the election was decided in less than 24 hours, and I think that was a good thing for the country.  Of course that doesn’t mean that the days ahead will be smooth.  There will likely be much turmoil, and that will be extremely unfortunate.  But at least for this moment, we can hope that leaders on both sides will try to bring us together and unify the country.

I really wish that Kamala Harris would have conceded immediately.  It was the right thing to do, and I think that she will regret putting it off.  But as I told my readers ahead of time, I had a really hard time imagining her actually conceding on election night.  She fully expected to win, and now she must be absolutely devastated.

I have been watching the voting results come in for hours, and I am still having trouble processing what just happened.  To me, the following are 10 of the most shocking numbers from Donald Trump’s historic election victory…

#1 As I write this article, Donald Trump has a lead of more than 5 million votes nationally.  Trump is going to win the popular vote, and that is something that very few of the experts anticipated.

#2 New York was called very early, but it was actually a big story.  Right now, Kamala Harris only has a lead of less than 12 percent in that state.  I was stunned that the margin was so close.

#3 New Jersey wasn’t supposed to be close either, but it was.  As I write this, Trump trails Kamala Harris by less than 5 points.

#3 I told my readers that whoever won Pennsylvania would win the election, and that is exactly what happened.  But Trump wasn’t supposed to win it by nearly 200,000 votes.

#4 The vote in Wisconsin was so close in 2016, and it was so close in 2020.  But with 93 percent of the vote in, Trump is leading by 4 full percentage points.

#5 Michigan was supposed to be insanely tight too, but with 81 percent of the vote in Trump is leading by nearly 7 points.

#6 Do you remember that poll that came out just before the election that showed Kamala Harris up by 3 points in Iowa?  Well, with 97 percent of the vote in Trump is up by almost 14 points.

#7 After Kamala Harris put Tim Walz on the ticket, Minnesota was supposed to be a cakewalk for the Democrats.  Instead, they are winning it by less than 6 points.

#8 Hardly anyone even mentioned Illinois on election night, but with 91 percent of the vote in Kamala Harris is only up by 4.2 points.

#9 The margin of victory in Nevada is larger than the margin of victory in Illinois.  At this moment, Trump is up by 4.7 points in that state.

#10 Abortion was on the ballot in 10 states, and a majority of voters cast their ballots for the pro-choice position in 9 of those 10 states.  That was a huge victory for the Democrats and an enormous loss for the country as a whole.

So what is ahead?

I will write more about that tomorrow.

But I did want to mention that chaos started to erupt on the streets of Seattle even before Trump was officially declared the winner…

Antifa defied orders to get get out of the road resulting in at least four arrests.

This election is not the end.

It is just the beginning.

Global events are going to start moving so rapidly now, and there will be many more surprises in the days ahead.

We live at a time when it is expected that chaos will follow virtually every big event.  In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, there was looting.  In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, there was looting.  The war in the Middle East has sparked wild protests and riots all over the country this year.  And even if something really good happens, many people just consider it to be an excuse for even more rioting, looting and violence.  For example, the Los Angeles Dodgers just won the World Series.  But instead of celebrating peacefully, young men in Los Angeles looted stores and threw fireworks at police…

World Series celebrations descended into chaos in the early hours of Thursday morning in Los Angeles, with shops being looted by gangs and fireworks thrown at cops in the street.

Many of the rioters probably don’t even care much about baseball.

But once the Dodgers won, large numbers of people recognized as opportunity to run wild.

According to the LAPD, there was “looting at several stores in the area of 8th and Broadway”…

Looting broke out on the streets of Los Angeles on Wednesday night after the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Yankees to win the 2024 World Series.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said they had received reports of “looting at several stores in the area of 8th and Broadway” and people were urged to stay out of the area.

This has become way too common.

When a team wins a major championship, it is basically expected that citizens of that city will start rioting and looting.

A Nike store that had actually been boarded up in order to prevent looting was hit really hard.  We are being told that a “mob of looters” was seen “carrying merchandise and throwing it into cars”…

The Los Angeles Police Department shared footage of a mob of looters running in and out of a boarded-up Nike store carrying merchandise and throwing it into cars parked outside the store about four miles from Dodger Stadium just after 11 p.m.

If this is what they will do when they are “celebrating”, what will they do when they are extremely angry?

You might want to think about that.

In addition to looting stores, the rioters also set a city bus on fire…

As looters ransacked businesses, other areas of downtown Los Angeles were plunged into madness.

The LAPD said a “hostile crowd” — estimated at between 200 and 300 people — lit an MTA bus on fire about a mile from Dodger Stadium around 12:35 a.m. local time.

Footage posted to Citizen captured the moment a massive crowd — the majority of whom were wearing Dodgers jerseys and apparel — surrounded and sat atop the graffiti-laced bus.

Needless to say, what we just witnessed in Los Angeles is not even worth comparing to the chaos that could potentially follow this election.

Survey after survey has shown that Americans are extremely alarmed about what is coming, and that includes a new poll that was just released by the Associated Press…

American voters are approaching the presidential election with deep unease about what could follow, including the potential for political violence, attempts to overturn the election results and its broader implications for democracy, according to a new poll.

According to that poll, a large proportion of the country is very concerned about the possibility of post-election violence…

About 4 in 10 registered voters say they are “extremely” or “very” concerned about violent attempts to overturn the results after the November election. A similar share is worried about legal efforts to do so. And about 1 in 3 voters say they are “extremely” or “very” concerned about attempts by local or state election officials to stop the results from being finalized.

Relatively few voters — about one-third or less — are “not very” or “not at all” concerned about any of that happening.

At this point, it appears quite likely that Donald Trump will emerge victorious on November 5th.

To many on the left, that is literally the worst possible thing that could ever happen.

I know that this may sound a bit nuts to many of you, but this is how they actually see the world.

There has never been a politician that the left has hated more than Donald Trump, and if he wins this election after everything that has happened over the last eight years, for millions of Democrats it will feel like the world is ending.

And if President Trump attempts to crack down on post-election chaos after he is sworn in, it will just reinforce everything that the left believes about him.  As Lee Smith has noted, we really are on the verge of a very troubling scenario…

Prominent post-election scenarios forecast such widespread rioting that the newly elected president would be compelled to invoke the Insurrection Act. With some senior military officials refusing to follow Trump’s orders, according to the scenarios, the U.S. Armed Forces would split, leaving America on the edge of the abyss.

By vilifying Trump as a despotic madman who must be stopped before he can commence his reign of terror, the regime’s propaganda apparatus not only slanders Trump but also pre-emptively threatens the reputation, as well as the livelihood and perhaps the liberty, of current military personnel. The point is to push the military against Trump: When the time comes to act, will you stand for democracy or side with a tyrant who sees the military only as an instrument to advance his personal interests?

Close to half the country is not going to want to be governed by whoever wins this election.

Unless you are completely and utterly delusional, you should be able to see that this is a major problem.

We are headed for unprecedented societal chaos no matter how this election turns out.

I wish that it wasn’t true, but we are a deeply, deeply divided nation.

For a long time I have been urging everyone to find a way to love one another even though we don’t agree on everything.

But people like me are being drowned out by those that are preaching hate, division and revenge.

Now we are about to reap what we have sown, and it will not be pleasant.

Can you believe that we are less than a week away from Election Day?  Over 57 million Americans have already voted, and in some states more than half of the total expected vote is already in.  So it may already be too late for a last minute surprise to alter the outcome of the election.  In 2020, Democrats absolutely dominated the early voting period, but in 2024 things are very close between Democrats and Republicans.  Is this an indication that a “red landslide” is coming, or are Republicans simply shifting votes that would have been cast on Election Day into the early voting period?  We will soon find out.  In any event, the following are 8 major election developments that everyone needs to know about…

#1 The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the state of Virginia can purge approximately 1,600 non-citizens from its voter rolls…

The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed Virginia to move forward with its removal of roughly 1,600 alleged noncitizens from its voter rolls just days before the 2024 election.

The high court granted a request from state officials to pause a lower court order that blocked Virginia from continuing its voter removal program that was launched in August, exactly 90 days before Election Day. A provision of the National Voter Registration Act requires states to complete programs aimed at purging ineligible voters from registration lists up to 90 days before federal elections.

#2 There were reports that officials in Bucks County, Pennsylvania had been turning away on-demand mail ballot voters early.  Now a judge in Bucks Country has extended on-demand mail ballot voting until Friday, and this is considered to be a major victory for the Trump campaign…

Bucks County Judge Jeffrey Trauger has ordered the Bucks County Board of Elections to extend its on-demand mail-in ballot deadline until “the close of business” on Friday, Nov. 1.

The Wednesday afternoon ruling stems from a lawsuit filed several hours earlier by former President Donald Trump’s campaign and other state and national GOP groups claiming Bucks County illegally turned away voters.

The filing with the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, posted online late Wednesday morning, alleges that the county violated the state’s election laws by not allowing some voters to use the “on-demand mail-ballot” option in the final hours of the mail-in ballot application at 5 p.m. Oct. 29.

#3 In Wisconsin, turnout in the conservative counties of Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington is far higher than turnout in the liberal bastion of Dane County…

The conservative “WOW” counties of Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington have increased their turnout advantage over liberal Dane County up to 12.16%. Dane’s turnout advantage going into Election Day 2020 was 0.9%. This represents a 13% turnout swing compared to ‘20.

#4 In Arizona, Republicans are doing a much better job of turning out “low propensity voters” than Democrats are…

A look at AZ voter frequency scores shows that Democrats are trailing Republicans by a couple of points in the zero, one, and two buckets, turning out more of their 3/3 voters.

It’s not an excellent combination for available votes down the stretch, so Republicans are likely to outvote Democrats by 300,000+.

#5 Abortion is on the ballot in both Arizona and Nevada, and this was supposed to be a major advantage for Kamala Harris in those states.  But it turns out that vast numbers of pro-abortion voters are going to vote for Trump anyway…

While an Washington Post-Schar School poll conducted in October found that 68 percent of voters in Arizona and 80 percent of voters in Nevada say they planned to support their state’s abortion referendum, the same poll showed Harris narrowly behind Trump in Arizona and tied in Nevada. Harris’s support among likely voters in the poll was 46 percent in Arizona to Trump’s 49 percent, and they both had 48 percent support in Nevada.

Meanwhile, Trump — who has claimed credit for Roe’s reversal — has been working to assuage the concerns of independent and Republican voters who support abortion rights. In recent weeks, the former president has promised to veto a national abortion ban, after repeatedly refusing to make such a pledge. While he has maintained that each state should choose its own abortion laws, he said in a recent town hall geared toward women voters that many of the current bans are “too tough.”

Republican and independent voters who plan to split their ticket on abortion — voting for an abortion referendum and for Trump — said they were willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt on the issue, with some feeling reassured by his recent promises not to crack down further on abortion.

#6 As I discussed yesterday, it appears that the Harris campaign may be giving up on the swing state of North Carolina.  So far, Democrats in the state have cast over 300,000 fewer votes than they did at the same stage of the 2020 early voting period…

According to AdImpact, a political intelligence firm, on Monday the Harris-Walz campaign reserved $2.7 million worth of ads in North Carolina for the last stretch of the campaign, only to turn around and kill more than $2 million of its reservations on Tuesday. Though Harris is following through on a scheduled Raleigh rally on Wednesday morning — while Trump is holding his own event in Rocky Mount, NC — her campaign managers’ hopes of winning North Carolina’s 16 electoral votes have likely plunged as daily updates of early voting numbers continue to paint a grim picture of her prospects in the Tar Heel State.

The 2020 vs 2024 contrast in early voting patterns is striking. Compared to the same time four years ago, North Carolina Democrats have cast 341,000 fewer votes, while Republicans have cast 9,000 more, noted Andy Jackson of the Raleigh-based John Locke Foundation. Aside from the party mix, North Carolina is also seeing lower turnout among two traditional Democratic voter blocs: young people and blacks. In 2020, 92% of the state’s black voters backed Biden. Across the country, however, black support of Trump is surging.

#7 A television station in Pennsylvania is apologizing for broadcasting “randomly generated test results” that were meant to “help news organizations make sure their equipment is working properly in advance of election night”…

Test results for the upcoming November 5 general election mistakenly appeared on WNEP-TV early Sunday evening during a broadcast of the Formula 1 Mexico Grand Prix.

Those numbers should not have appeared on the screen, and it was an error by WNEP that they did.

The numbers seen on the screen were randomly generated test results sent out to help news organizations make sure their equipment is working properly in advance of election night.

#8 It turns out that the incendiary devices that were used to set ballot boxes in Oregon and Washington on fire had a pro-Palestinian message inscribed on them…

Ballot boxes in Oregon and Washington were set on fire with incendiary devices early Monday in what authorities believe are connected incidents, police said.

The devices used in the arson incidents carried markings with the expression “Free Gaza,” two sources familiar with the ongoing investigation told ABC News.

Sadly, I believe that this is just the beginning of the chaos that is coming.

November 5th may be the end of the campaign, but it will also be the beginning of a very dark chapter in our history.

There is going to be such an outpouring of negative emotion in the aftermath of this election, and whoever emerges as the winner is going to be facing crisis after crisis.

Early voting numbers are starting to come in from all over the nation, and I am absolutely astounded by what we are witnessing so far.  In previous cycles, Democrats have dominated early in-person voting and vote-by-mail, and Republicans have dominated in-person voting on the day of the election.  Experts had expected to see the same pattern manifest this time around, but in many of the most important states that simply is not happening.  In fact, as you will see below, there are quite a few swing states where Republicans have actually cast more votes than Democrats have.  Needless to say, this is very bad news for Kamala Harris.

Let’s start in Florida.  When early in-person voting and vote-by-mail are combined, Republicans have a lead of more than 18,000 votes so far…

Republicans outnumbered Democrats in Florida in terms of early in-person voting and vote-by-mail combined as of Monday night.

At around 9:02 p.m. Eastern, Republicans led Democrats by 18,147 votes in terms of both early person voting and vote-by-mail combined.

When evaluating in-person early voting alone, Republicans lead by 93,210 votes, while Democrats edge out Republicans by 75,101 votes with vote-by-mail, specifically.

Regardless, at this point, Republicans have the overall edge.

This isn’t supposed to happen.

During these early stages, Democrats are supposed to be casting more votes than Republicans virtually everywhere in the entire country.

So this is big news.

Even more importantly, Republicans are currently outvoting Democrats in the critical swing state of Georgia…

In Georgia, 49 percent of all early votes have come from Republicans, while 46 percent have come from Democrats.

We don’t know who these people are voting for, but these early numbers do give us an indication of which party is doing better at getting out the vote.

In Arizona, Republicans have built up quite a sizable lead…

In Arizona, registered Republican voters are slightly outperforming Democrats, 44 percent to 35 percent.

And the numbers that we are getting out of Nevada are shocking pundits across the political spectrum…

BREAKING: Nevada Republicans NOW LEAD THE EARLY VOTE, with mail included. Absolutely unprecedented in a presidential year.

Republicans: 96,858
Democrats: 88,983

The Harris campaign is absolutely counting on Nevada.

If they lose there, they are going to be in an enormous amount of trouble.

And could an upset be brewing in Virginia?

It is being reported that Republicans have cast more early in-person ballots in Virginia than Democrats have…

Republicans may be eclipsing Democrats in early in-person voting this year in Virginia, though Democrats appear to be outperforming Republicans in submitting mail-in ballots, according to data compiled by the nonprofit Virginia Public Access Project.

Just two weeks out from the presidential election, Republicans are likely to have cast 46.5% of early in-person ballots, while Democrats likely account for 45.5%.

Of course Democrats have a big lead in mail-in ballots in Virginia, but Republicans will have a huge turnout on November 5th.

If Virginia ends up in Trump’s column, there is no way that Harris can win.

Overall, the early voting numbers are telling us a very clear story.

As Mark Halperin has explained, if current trends continue we could know who is going to win even before we get to November 5th…

“If the early vote numbers stay the way they are, and that’s a big if, we’ll almost certainly know before Election Day who’s going to win the election … Make no mistake, if these numbers hold up in the states where we can understand even partially what the data is like, we’ll know that Donald Trump’s going to be president on Election Day … It’s extraordinarily important, and we got to track that day to day,” Halperin said. “That’s more important than the polls right now. It’s more important than almost anything because it’s giving us insight into a variety of factors that are accounting for a Republican overperformance by various metrics in the early voting in the battleground states.”

He is right.

Early voting numbers are far more important than poll numbers.

But there is one new poll that I wanted to mention.  It shows that Trump is actually leading Harris with Arab-American voters…

Former President Donald Trump is edging ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris among Arab-American voters, a poll released Tuesday shows.

Overall, the 2024 election will see a massive turnout among Arab-Americans, which the poll projects to reach 87 percent.

The Arab News/YouGov poll found 45 percent of respondents said they are most likely to vote for the Republican nominee in 14 days time, while 43 percent would likely vote for Harris.

That is nuts!

If Trump actually gets about half of all Arab-American votes, Kamala Harris is going to be in very deep trouble in the swing state of Michigan.

In fact, NBC News is reporting that the Harris campaign has become very nervous about potentially losing the state…

But with just 14 days until the Nov. 5 election, there are concerns within Kamala Harris’ campaign about whether the vice president can claim all three states.

Recent discussions have centered on the possibility of an anomaly happening this year with just part of the blue wall breaking its way. The conversations have focused on whether Michigan or Wisconsin “fall” to former President Donald Trump while the two other states go blue, according to three sources with knowledge of the campaign’s strategy.

Losing Wisconsin or Michigan would mean that even if Harris secures Pennsylvania — where both Harris and Trump have spent the most time and resources — she would not reach the necessary 270 electoral votes to win the White House without winning another battleground state or possibly two.

The “Uncommitted” movement could play a huge role in who ultimately wins the state of Michigan.

Traditionally, Arab-American voters in Michigan have overwhelmingly voted for Democrats, but at this point they are “highly dissatisfied with the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war”…

The “Uncommitted” movement made up of young voters, progressives, Arab Americans, and Muslims who are highly dissatisfied with the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war could be Vice President Kamala Harris’s undoing in Michigan, Politico admitted Monday.

Politico Playbook deputy editor Zack Stanton authored an article asserting that college students in the state are breaking for Harris, but in the same breath noted the uncommitted movement could snuff out Harris’s White House hopes.

This is one of the big stories that we will want to watch on November 5th.

If Harris cannot win Michigan, her path to victory becomes very, very narrow.

Right now, Harris should constantly be in Michigan, Pennsylvania and the other swing states.

But instead, she took almost all of Tuesday off in order “to prepare for prerecorded softball interviews with NBC News and Telemundo”.

Meanwhile, Trump is working like a madman as he approaches the finish line.  He is hitting one state after another in rapid fire fashion, and I don’t know how he is doing it.

Trump is literally running circles around a woman that is almost 20 years younger than he is.

In such a close race, that could make all the difference.

But no matter who wins, I am expecting unprecedented chaos in the aftermath of this election.

Right now, both sides still believe that they are going to emerge victorious, but once we reach November 5th one side is going to have their hopes completely shattered.

We have reached a moment in history that none of us will forget.  We are literally standing on the precipice of the unthinkable, and most people don’t even realize it.  Of course horrific wars have a way of erupting when most people are not expecting them.  Hardly anyone expected a global war to erupt in 1914, but then tens of millions of precious souls died over the next four years.  Hardly anyone expected a global war to erupt in 1939, but then tens of millions of precious souls died over the next six years.  This time around, what is happening should be glaringly obvious to everyone.  Personally, I have been specifically warning about what is taking place right now for more than a decade.  If we do not change course, billions of precious souls could die during the nightmarish global wars that are rapidly approaching.

At this moment, most Americans have no idea that a war between the United States and China is coming.

Just a few days ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping boldly talked about “preparation for war” as he was dressed in military fatigues…

On Thursday Chinese Communist Dictator Xi Jinping commanded troops to strengthen their preparedness for war while visiting his People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force following last week’s drills of surrounding the sovereign country of Taiwan.

“Xi said the military should ‘comprehensively strengthen training and preparation for war, (and) ensure troops have solid combat capabilities,’ CCTV reported,” according to the AFP and reported on Barrons Saturday.

Why would China need to prepare for war?

Needless to say, nobody is planning to attack China.

The truth is that the only reason that China would need to prepare for war is if it was planning to invade Taiwan.

Because the moment that China invades Taiwan, the U.S. and China will be at war.

In recent days, the Chinese have been getting very aggressive with Taiwan…

On Monday, Beijing had deployed fighter jets, drones, warships and coast guard vessels to encircle Taiwan — its fourth round of large-scale war games around the democratic island in just over two years.

China’s communist leaders have insisted they will not rule out using force to bring Taiwan under Beijing’s control.

Meanwhile, western leaders continue to publicly discuss sending NATO troops to Ukraine.

The latest example of this came from the foreign minister of Lithuania…

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said in a statement to Politico on Monday that European Union countries should return to the idea of putting boots-on-the-ground in Ukraine to fight Russia.

The idea comes after French President Emmanuel Macron said in February that sending Western troops to Ukraine is not ‘ruled out’ for the future plans in war against Russia, according to the AP. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz shut down that plan for the time being however.

“If information about Russia’s killing squads being equipped with North Korean ammunition and military personnel is confirmed, we have to get back to ‘boots on the ground’ and other ideas proposed by [French President] Emmanuel Macron,” he said in written comments, Politico reported on Monday.

One of the reasons why this has came up again is because there are reports that soldiers from North Korea are being equipped and sent to fight for Russia on the front lines of eastern Ukraine…

North Korean soldiers have been filmed receiving uniforms and equipment at a training ground in Russia’s far east, appearing to confirm reports from South Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS) that 1,500 soldiers have been shipped over for military training to be deployed in Ukraine.

The North Korean troops are thought to be receiving training before being sent to the front line in Ukraine, in what is thought to be a clear sign of the ever-warming relations between Moscow and Pyongyang.

Both sides just continue to escalate matters.

It appears to be just a matter of time before we find ourselves in a direct conflict with the Russians, and that is a really, really bad idea.

North Korea has been making all sorts of noise lately.  In addition to sending troops to fight in Ukraine, the North Koreans are also threatening to invade South Korea…

North Korea has said it had found the remnants of a South Korean military drone and that any further “violation” of its territory would result in a “declaration of war.”

Tensions between the two sides of the peninsula have escalated since May when the North began flying balloons carrying garbage across the border to the South, prompting Seoul to respond by restarting loudspeaker propaganda broadcasts.

This week, North Korea accused South Korea of flying drones over Pyongyang on three occasions this month and threatened to respond with force if it happened again.

The North Korean military is vastly superior to the South Korean military.

If North Korea invades, the only way that South Korea will survive is if we intervene.

But right now the U.S. military is focused on the Middle East, because that conflict could spiral completely out of control at any moment.

On Sunday night, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari warned that Israel would soon begin targeting any financial institutions that aid Hezbollah…

“In the past 24 hours, dozens of projectiles have been fired at northern Israel,” he began. “In the next minutes, we will issue an advance evacuation warning to residents of Beirut and other areas in Lebanon to evacuate locations being used to finance Hezbollah’s terror activities. I emphasize here: Anyone located near sites used to fund Hezbollah’s terror activities must move away from these locations immediately.”

“We will strike several targets in the coming hours and additional targets throughout the night.

“In the coming days, we will reveal how Iran funds Hezbollah’s terror activities by using civilian institutions, associations, and NGOs that act as fronts for terrorism.”

And it certainly did not take long for that to start happening.

Last night, branches of Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association Bank were hit by Israeli airstrikes…

Israeli fighter jets struck dozens of targets in Beirut and other areas of southern Lebanon overnight, including branches of a bank accused of holding funds used by Hezbollah.

The military’s Arabic spokesman, Avichay Adraee, had earlier in the night issued several evacuation orders for buildings throughout southern Lebanon he said were in the vicinity of facilities belonging to the U.S.-sanctioned Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association Bank.

Most people in the western world have absolutely no idea how chaotic things have become over there.

It is being reported that there is “widespread panic” in Beirut at this moment…

Jeanine Hennis, the United Nations’ special coordinator for Lebanon, said that after the IDF issued its evacuations, said there was “widespread panic” in Beirut.

“A brief window to escape to safety. Intense blasts reverberate across the night sky. With each day, Lebanon suffers more. But even amid the escalating violence, solutions remain available. If only opportunities would be seized,” she said.

Could the U.S. soon find itself involved in 4 major global wars?

Let’s hope not, because we are not even prepared to fight one…

The US Army’s outgoing top commander in the Pacific region has warned that the US can “ill afford” another war because its military is vastly overstretched.

According to Defense One, Gen. Charles Flynn said that the US’ authoritarian rivals — Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea — had been placing increasing pressure on American military resources.

Speaking at the AUSA conference in Washington DC last week, Flynn described the technology and military alliances between the authoritarian states as a “very dangerous combination.”

The U.S. military is not the overwhelming global force that it once was.

While other major powers have been feverishly preparing to fight World War III, our military has been rapidly becoming a politically correct joke.

Now a day of reckoning is upon us, and we are not ready.

Are we witnessing a surge in the polls that will ultimately decide this election?  At this time in 2016, Hillary Clinton had an enormous lead over Donald Trump, but over the last several weeks of the campaign the polls dramatically tightened.  The more that the American people saw Donald Trump, the more they liked him.  And the more that the American people saw Hillary Clinton, the less they liked her.  It appears that a very similar thing is happening now.  Donald Trump has always been a star, and his massive rallies are an incredibly powerful campaigning tool.  No matter how much money Kamala Harris spends, she can’t recreate the same kind of emotional energy that Trump generates, because Kamala Harris is not a star.  She simply does not have the ability to move people emotionally the way that Trump does, and it was an enormous mistake for the Democrats to choose her as the nominee.

A brand new NBC News national poll shows the momentum that Trump has been able to create in recent weeks.

September’s NBC News national poll had Harris up by five points, but now in the latest poll the two candidates are tied…

In the new poll — which was conducted Oct. 4-8 — Harris gets support from 48% of registered voters in a head-to-head matchup, while Trump gets an identical 48%. Another 4% say they are undecided or wouldn’t vote for either option when forced to choose between those two major-party candidates.

That’s a change from September’s NBC News poll, which found Harris leading Trump by 5 points, 49%-44%, though that result was within the margin of error.

And when third-party candidates are included, that same poll shows that Trump is actually leading…

An expanded ballot including third-party candidates also shows this shift, with 47% of registered voters in the new poll picking Trump, 46% supporting Harris and a combined 7% picking other candidates or saying they’re undecided.

In September, however, Harris held a 6-point lead on this expanded ballot.

The mainstream media kept telling us that this was a “static” race.

But these numbers tell an entirely different story.

During a segment discussing this new poll, Steve Kornacki explained that Donald Trump’s favorability rating is rising and meanwhile the opposite is true for Kamala Harris.

Of course this isn’t the only poll that shows that Trump is building up momentum.

Journalist Mark Halperin says that private polling on both sides shows that the numbers are definitely moving in Trump’s favor right now…

“When I’ve reported over the last several days about private polling” which is favorable to Trump, says @MarkHalperin, “that is not Republican-only private polling. It’s reflected in the Democratic private polling, too. In fact, I think if you’d ask the Harris campaign about their polling, you’d hear a similar story. This is not spin by Republicans about secret or fake polls. This is what is happening in the data. And as we’ve said repeatedly, the public and private data differs. The public data is cheap and has issues in almost every case. It’s just the nature of the beast now for academic and media organizations, not every one, but most.”

This certainly does not mean that Trump has the election wrapped up.

So much could still happen between now and November.

In fact, some very disturbing allegations about Tim Walz are being released as I write this article.

So we shall see what happens.

But right now the big online betting markets seem to think that Trump is going to win…

Former President Donald Trump is currently leading Vice President Kamala Harris by 10 points on the Polymarket prediction platform — a sharp reversal over betting odds in September.

According to the latest Polymarket data, Trump currently has a 55% chance of securing the Oval Office in November compared to Harris’ 45% chance.

The former President also reversed Harris’ lead in 4 of 6 swing states and now leads in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania — with Arizona and Georgia representing the GOP candidate’s widest margins of victory.

About a month ago, the Democrats were feeling very confident.

But now panic is clearly starting to set in…

Of course, that has not stopped both parties from doing what they always do. In Democrats’ case, this appears to be the week when their traditional preëlection panic has set in. Strategists are now warning that Harris has “plateaued,” that she “needs to be more aggressive,” and that she has to reinvent herself as a centrist to “seal the deal.” In recent days, I’ve read articles dissecting her challenges with male voters, Black male voters, Arab voters, Latino voters, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin voters. She also, apparently, has a Biden problem, a Bibi problem, and a hurricane problem.

Harris just isn’t very inspiring at all, and many people find her to be extremely annoying.

These flaws torpedoed her run for the presidency in 2020, and they are likely to be fatal this time around too.

If you want to run for president and win, you need to be a star.

It really is that simple.

The reason why Trump draws such large crowds to his rallies is because millions upon millions of Americans absolutely adore him.

That also makes Trump a target, and it appears that a “third assassination attempt” was just thwarted…

A third assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump was thwarted on Saturday after a Las Vegas man was arrested with weapons and fake passes about a half mile from Trump’s campaign rally in Coachella Valley, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said Sunday.

Deputies assigned to Trump’s rally said the driver, Vem Miller, rolled up in a black SUV to a checkpoint at the intersection of Avenue 52 and Celebration Drive around 5 p.m. He was found to be in illegal possession of a shotgun, loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Bianco told the Southern California News Group on Sunday that he believes Miller — who he said is a member of a right–leaning anti-government group — planned to kill Trump and that deputies thwarted the plan when Miller presented fake VIP and press passes at a checkpoint.

“They were different enough to cause the deputies alarm,” Bianco said. “We probably stopped another assassination attempt.”

As I have stated before, it really will be a miracle if Trump actually makes it to the election.

And no matter who ultimately emerges victorious, the truth is that we are a bitterly divided nation that is rapidly heading in the wrong direction.

Whether Trump wins or Harris wins, I am expecting tremendous civil unrest following the outcome of this election.

So those that are looking at election day as the finish line are getting it all wrong.

This election will not be the end of anything.  Instead, it will simply be the beginning of an entirely new chapter.

Do you want to live in a society where you are required to have your face scanned wherever you go?  If not, you may want to speak up now while you still can.  As you will see below, the U.S. government is aggressively expanding the use of facial recognition technology for identification verification purposes.  For now, the use of facial recognition technology will be optional.  But as we have seen before, once a voluntary option is adopted by enough people our leaders have a way of making it mandatory.  Of course it isn’t just our government that is pushing facial recognition technology.  It is popping up throughout our society, and given enough time it would literally be everywhere.

Login.gov is billed as “a single sign-on solution for US government websites”, and now users of Login.gov will be given the option to use facial recognition technology to verify their identities…

An online hub for Americans to access benefits and services across the federal government is giving its users a new option to sign on.

The General Services Administration will begin offering facial recognition technology as an option for users of Login.gov, a one-stop for government-provided public services, to verify their identities.

GSA’s Technology Transformation Services announced Wednesday it will allow Login.gov users to verify their identity online through facial technology that meets standards set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s 800-63-3 Identity Assurance Level 2 (IAL2) guidelines.

We are being told that this will help reduce identity theft and fraud, and I don’t know anyone that likes identity theft and fraud.

But do we really want to live in a dystopian world where our faces are constantly being scanned all the time?

I certainly don’t.

We are being told that this new facial recognition system will rely on “best-in-class facial matching algorithms”…

After months of testing and a delay in 2023, users will now be able to verify their identity using a ‘proven facial matching technology’ approved by the General Services Administration, which will follow the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and will rely on ‘best-in-class facial matching algorithms’

All of this sounds really creepy to me.

And this is certainly a way for the government to start getting all of our faces into a giant database.

Login.gov already has more than 100 million users, and lots of them will inevitably choose the “convenience” and “security” of facial recognition…

Federal agencies use Login.gov for people to verify their identities when logging in to access government benefits and services. The offering has over 100 million users already across over 50 federal and state agencies, and this news could affect how future users have to verify their identity to access information and benefits.

“Proving your identity is a critical step in receiving many government benefits and services, and we want to ensure we are making that as easy and secure as possible for members of the public, while protecting against identity theft and fraud,” said GSA Administrator Robin Carnahan in a statement.

For now, you will still be able to use other identification verification options.

But once most people start using facial recognition, those other options could easily be taken away.

Sadly, it isn’t just the government that we need to be concerned about.

AI programs such as ChatGPT have turned out to be quite adept at identifying faces…

Using “a crafted prompt designed to bypass the safeguard mechanisms of ChatGPT,” the researchers were able to test the program’s biometric capabilities – which they found to be significant.

“Our study reveals that ChatGPT recognizes facial identities and differentiates between two facial images with considerable accuracy,” says their summary. “Additionally, experimental results demonstrate remarkable performance in gender detection and reasonable accuracy for the age estimation tasks.”

Even more alarming is what a couple of Harvard students have been able to accomplish.

They integrated PimEyes facial recognition software into a pair of Meta’s smart glasses, and they were able to instantly pull up the personal information of strangers by scanning their faces…

Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses offer an iconic wearable packed with some smart features that allow users to engage in a hands-free experience. Two Harvard students have integrated smart glasses with a facial recognition system that helps automatically dox strangers and access their information in public.

According to 404media, the facial recognition system called I-XRAY can be used to retrieve information such as phone numbers, addresses, or even social security numbers of strangers. All the user needs to do is look at the person. While software capabilities have been making the rounds, it is the hardware running the software that has been the talk of the town, which is Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.

Nguyen and Ardayfio created I-XRAY using Meta’s smart glasses along with PimEyes facial recognition software, which is currently the largest search engine. The entire system of fetching information on the individual is automatic, and the smart glasses start digging the data as soon as the face is in the frame.

If we stay on the current trajectory that we are on, it would likely only be a matter of time before this sort of technology is everywhere.

Can you imagine what criminals could do with this?

A predator would not even need to follow you home.  He could just scan your face without you even realizing it, and by scanning your face he could get your address, your phone number, and a whole host of other private details about your life.

A lot of people out there just don’t get it.

In a society without any privacy, the bad guys can always find you.

Of course in a society without any privacy, there would be no hiding from tyranny either.

When facial recognition technology is literally everywhere, there will be nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.

Every time your face is scanned, your location will be known.

Needless to say, most people already carry around phones that constantly monitor where they are anyway.

But as the Big Brother surveillance grid that is being constructed all around us becomes even more pervasive, it won’t be too long before there is literally no opting out.

I have been a very vocal advocate for privacy for over a decade, but during that time our privacy rights have been greatly eroded.

Now is the time to take a stand, because once our privacy rights are completely gone it will be nearly impossible to get them back.

The worst-case scenario that many meteorologists were fearing is here.  Hurricane Milton will make landfall on the west coast of Florida very early on Thursday morning, and it will do so as a much larger storm than originally anticipated.  As you will see below, the size of Hurricane Milton’s wind field has more than doubled since Tuesday afternoon.  That means that this storm will do catastrophic damage over a much wider area than the experts originally thought.  At this point, some scientists are warning that the total damage from Hurricane Milton could potentially exceed the total damage that we witnessed during Hurricane Katrina.

This has been such a strange storm.

According to CBS News, Hurricane Milton “is the quickest storm on record to rapidly intensify into a Category 5 in the Gulf of Mexico”…

Milton is the quickest storm on record to rapidly intensify into a Category 5 in the Gulf of Mexico, Nolan said. On Sunday, the system was a tropical storm with sustained winds of 60 miles per hour. Just 24 hours later, its wind speeds had leapt to 175 miles per hour, far above the Category 5 threshold of 157 mph.

Of course wind speed is only one part of the equation.

The size of the wind field is also an exceedingly important factor, and as I discussed above, Milton’s wind field has more than doubled since Tuesday afternoon…

Milton is a powerful hurricane, and its wind field is growing, according to the latest data from the National Hurricane Center.

Milton’s tropical storm-force winds now extend 250 miles from its center, especially on its northern side. These same winds extended 105 miles from its center early Tuesday afternoon.

Its wind field could grow further ahead of and after landfall, bringing damaging winds to much of the Florida Peninsula. Tropical storm-force wind gusts have already been observed along parts of the state’s west coast from north of the Tampa Bay area through the Keys.

We have never seen anything quite like this before.

Milton is producing a jaw-dropping symphony of lightning bolts that literally never stops, and it has already spawned numerous tornadoes on the Florida peninsula…

“Historic, catastrophic, life-threatening – all those words summarize the situation,” said Austen Flannery, a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Tampa.

Tornadic supercells − dangerous, rotating thunderstorms that can produce tornadoes − were beginning to sweep across the Florida peninsula, the update said. More than 12 million people were under tornado warnings, and the National Weather Service in Miami said on social media it had “up to 4 visually confirmed tornadoes today,” with unofficial reports of others.

A lot of people in south Florida thought that they would not get hit hard by this storm, but a tornado spawned by Milton literally crossed I-75 earlier today…

As Florida’s Gulf Coast braces for the impacts of Hurricane Milton Wednesday, the storm is causing severe weather across the state — even in Miami.

The National Weather Service Miami shared photos of a tornado crossing Interstate 75 Wednesday as cars were still driving on the highway.

“TORNADO crossing I-75 as we speak! Seek shelter NOW!” the agency wrote on social media.

I feel like I have been watching footage from a Hollywood disaster movie.

In Fort Myers, a tornado spawned by Hurricane Milton absolutely ripped a 7-Eleven convenience store to shreds…

Hurricane Milton has already spawned tornadoes in Florida hours before its projected landfall, and the city of Fort Myers was pummeled by one.

Video and photos show damaged houses, fallen trees and a mangled 7-Eleven gas station. A piece of the 7-Eleven’s canopy went airborne and ended up wrapped around the bottom of a tree.

When it finally makes landfall, it is being projected that Milton will be either a Category 3 or a Category 4 storm.

But on AccuWeather’s RealImpact Scale for Hurricanes, it will be considered a Category 5 storm because of the potential devastation that it could cause…

“On Wednesday, as Milton encounters some wind shear and another eyewall replacement cycle, it is forecast to expand in size and lose some wind intensity,” DaSilva added, Milton will make landfall as a formidable Category 3-4 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale late Wednesday evening,” DaSilva added.

However, hurricane experts continue to maintain that Milton will strike with the impacts of a 5 on AccuWeather’s RealImpact™ Scale for Hurricanes, which takes into account storm surge, flooding rainfall, population affected and economic impacts above and beyond the Saffir-Simpson scale, which takes into account only maximum sustained winds.

The damage from this storm is going to ultimately affect all of us.

According to CNN, approximately 3 percent of U.S. GDP is directly in the path of this storm…

Hurricane Milton’s projected devastation in Florida could have a ripple effect on the broader US economy — impacting jobs, travel, manufacturing, retail sales, housing and other factors.

About 3% of America’s gross domestic product — the broadest measure of the US economy — is directly in Milton’s path, according to Ryan Sweet, chief US economist for Oxford Economics.

As I discussed yesterday, it is being projected that in a worst-case scenario this storm could potentially cause up to 175 billion dollars in economic damage.

Interestingly, Hurricane Milton is heading directly toward one of Pfizer’s most important facilities.  The following was posted by Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla on Tuesday…

With more than seven weeks left in the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, there’s a good chance that catastrophic Hurricane Milton won’t be the last storm to impact the U.S. this year.

In fact, forecasters are continuing to watch several other systems across the Atlantic basin, including one east of Florida that could become Tropical Storm Nadine later Wednesday.

This has been the most unusual hurricane season that I have ever seen.

We are not supposed to be hit by two “once in a century” storms in less than a month.

And a tropical storm is not supposed to develop into a Category 5 hurricane in less than 24 hours.
