The blizzard that hit the Northeast on Monday looked like it could have been pulled directly out of a Hollywood disaster movie. Everyone knew that it was going to be bad, but it turned out to be significantly worse than most of the experts were projecting. Multiple states have recorded more than 2 feet of snow. Multiple states have recorded hurricane-force winds. I have frequently written about how global weather patterns have been going completely nuts, and this is yet another example. All over the United States, the streets of our major cities are covered in poop. So exactly what does that say about us? It isn’t as if this is a new problem. As long as human societies have existed, human and animal waste has been a problem. Civilized societies have always found ways to deal with it, while uncivilized societies have always struggled to keep things clean. Unfortunately, despite all of our advanced technology, we seem to be fighting a losing battle. One of the biggest events in this era of human history is about to kick off, and I don’t know if anyone is truly ready for what is about to happen next. A full-blown war with Iran won’t be anything like any of the other wars that we have fought in the Middle East. The Iranians are quite capable of fighting back. Since the middle of last year, the Iranians have been feverishly developing new weapons systems and have been importing vast amounts of military equipment from Russia and China. They feel like they are far better prepared this time around, and I would agree with that assessment. But the U.S. and Israel are also very well prepared too. It takes a lot to blow me away in this day and age, but the video footage of humanoid AI-powered robots in China that I am about to share with you truly blew me away. During the CCTV Spring Festival gala, humanoid AI-powered robots built by Unitree performed an incredibly complex martial arts routine that was simply jaw-dropping. I never thought that we would get to a point where robots could move like that. I am literally in awe of what the Chinese have been able to accomplish. We live in a lowest common denominator society. For the last several decades, virtually every major institution in our society has become less civilized, and that is because our entire population has become less civilized. 20 years ago, a film entitled “Idiocracy” was released. It was about an average American that was selected for “a top-secret hibernation program but is forgotten and left to awaken to a future so incredibly moronic that he’s easily the most intelligent person alive”. It was an incredibly stupid movie, but the truth is that we are living it right now. Did you see the Super Bowl halftime show? The FCC has ruled that it didn’t violate any federal decency regulations. Of course we might as well not have any decency regulations at all, because our television shows and our movies are filled with some of the raunchiest material imaginable and nobody ever seems to get in trouble for it.  Of course that is only part of the equation. Most of the “programming” that we constantly consume also seems to be specifically designed for people of extremely low intelligence. Sadly, this is not a coincidence. By the time we got to this stage, I always thought that most people would understand what was happening. But of course that isn’t true at all. Even though we are literally right on the brink of an apocalyptic war with Iran, most of the population doesn’t seem too concerned. But they should be. The Iranian regime has already shown that they are willing to gun down tens of thousands of their own people. When it comes to securing the survival of their regime, there is no limit to what Ayatollah Khamenei and his minions would be willing to do. That could potentially include firing ballistic missiles that have been armed with chemical and biological weapons at Israeli cities. That could also potentially include releasing a biological weapon on U.S. soil. Those that choose to underestimate the barbarity of the Iranian regime are making an enormous mistake. (Read More...)

The housing bubble that burst during the Great Recession was enormous, but it was nothing compared to what we are facing now.  Two decades ago, the average price of a home in the United States was about $140,000.  Today, the average price of a home in the United States is above $500,000.  We have literally never seen anything even close to a housing bubble of this magnitude.  Unfortunately, what comes up must eventually come down. I feel quite exasperated right now. Everyone knows that the economic numbers that federal bureaucrats in Washington are feeding us each month are fraudulent. It has been that way for a very long time. The employment numbers are a perfect example of this. Every month they give us a headline number that looks pretty good, and then months later they revise it much lower when nobody is paying attention. That is the game they want to play, and many of us understand that. But this latest stunt that they have pulled is absolutely astounding.
