19 Reasons To Be Deeply Concerned About The Global Economy As We Enter The 2nd Half Of 2013

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

EarthIs the global economic downturn going to accelerate as we roll into the second half of this year?  There is turmoil in the Middle East, we are seeing things happen in the bond markets that we have not seen happen in more than 30 years, and much of Europe has already plunged into a full-blown economic depression.  Sadly, most Americans will never understand what is happening until financial disaster strikes them personally.  As long as they can go to work during the day and eat frozen pizza and watch reality television at night, most of them will consider everything to be just fine.  Unfortunately, the truth is that everything is not fine.  The world is becoming increasingly unstable, we are living in the terminal phase of the greatest debt bubble in the history of the planet and the global financial system is even more vulnerable than it was back in 2008.  Unfortunately, most people seem to only have a 48 hour attention span at best these days.  They don’t have the patience to watch long-term trends develop.  And the coming economic collapse is not going to happen all at once.  Rather, it is like watching a very, very slow-motion train wreck happen.  The coming economic nightmare is going to unfold over a number of years.  Yes, there will be moments of great panic, but mostly it will be a steady decline into economic oblivion.  And there are a lot of indications that the second half of this year is not going to be as good as the first half was.  The following are 19 reasons to be deeply concerned about the global economy as we head into the second half of 2013…

#1 The velocity of money in the United States has plunged to an all-time low.  It is extremely difficult to have an “economic recovery” if banks are not lending money and people are not spending it…

Velocity Of Money

#2 The fall of the Egyptian government threatens to bring even more instability to the Middle East.  In response to the events in Egypt, the price of oil rose to more than 101 dollars a barrel on Wednesday.

#3 Every time the average price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States has risen over $3.80 in the past three years, a stock market decline has always followed.

#4 As the world becomes increasingly unstable, massive citizen protest movements have been rising all over the globe

The protests have many different origins. In Brazil people rose up against bus fares, in Turkey against a building project. Indonesians have rejected higher fuel prices, Bulgarians the government’s cronyism.

In the euro zone they march against austerity, and the Arab spring has become a perma-protest against pretty much everything. Each angry demonstration is angry in its own way.

#5 The European sovereign debt crisis is flaring up once again.  This time it is Portugal’s turn to take center stage…

From Greece to Cyprus, Slovenia to Spain and Italy, and now most pressingly Portugal, where the finance and foreign ministers resigned in the space of two days, a host of problems is stirring after 10 months of relative calm imposed by the European Central Bank.

Portuguese Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho told the nation in an address late on Tuesday that he did not accept the foreign minister’s resignation and would try to go on governing.

If his government does end up collapsing, as is now more likely, it will raise immediate questions about Lisbon’s ability to meet the terms of the 78-billion-euro bailout it agreed with the EU and International Monetary Fund in 2011.

#6 It is being projected that Italy will need a major EU bailout within six months.

#7 Bond investors are starting to panic.  In fact, even prominent firms such as Pimco are seeing investors pull massive amounts of money out right now…

In June, investors pulled $9.6bn from Bill Gross’s flagship fund at Pimco, the largest single month of outflows at the fund since Morningstar records began in 1993, the investment research firm said.

The outflows came after investors pulled $1.3bn from the fund in May, which marked the first outflows since December 2011.

Overall, a whopping 80 billion dollars was pulled out of bond funds during June.

#8 Central banks are selling off staggering amounts of U.S. Treasury bonds right now.

#9 U.S. mortgage bonds just suffered their largest quarterly decline in nearly 20 years.

#10 We continue to buy far more from the rest of the world than they buy from us.  The U.S. trade deficit for the month of May was 45.0 billion dollars.

#11 The severe drought that the western half of the United States is suffering never seems to end.  What will it do to food prices if ranchers and farmers out west have to go through another summer like they did last year?

#12 European car sales have fallen to a 20 year low.

#13 Unemployment in the eurozone is at an all-time high.

#14 Could the paper gold Ponzi scheme be on the verge of crumbling?  There are reports that there is now a 100 day delay for gold owners to take physical delivery of their gold from some warehouses owned by the London Metal Exchange…

We’re told that bullion-buyers in London must now wait more than 100 days to take delivery of the bullion for which they have already paid.

The comedic drones at Bloomberg, and officials of the London Metal Exchange itself would have us believe this is due to “warehouse queues.” While precious metals bulls undoubtedly appreciate the imagery implied of a 100-day line-up of armored cars waiting to load their bullion – in the middle of this “bear market” – the implication is fallacious.

In an era of just-in-time inventories; the notion that there can be a 100-day backlog to load bullion into armored cars with the metal already sitting in the warehouse is ludicrous. Clearly what the LME is really reporting here is a greater-than-three-month delay to refine the gold (or silver) being purchased here – and then ship it to their warehouse.

In other words, the “bullion” which traders believe they are purchasing today is in fact merely ore which hasn’t even been dug out of the ground yet.

#15 The number of mortgage applications in the United States is falling at the fastest rate in more than 3 years.

#16 Real disposable income in the United States is falling at the fastest rate in more than 4 years.

#17 The percentage of companies issuing negative earnings guidance for this quarter is at a level that we have never seen before.

#18 Is the dark side of derivatives trading about to be exposed?  EU officials claim that 13 major international banks have been colluding to control the trading of derivatives…

The European Commission says many of the world’s largest investment banks appear to have colluded to block attempts by exchanges to trade and offer more transparent prices for financial products known as credit derivatives.

The commission, the executive arm of the European Union, said Monday it has informed 13 banks — including Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley — as well as the industry association for derivatives itself, the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, ISDA, of the preliminary conclusions of an investigation that began in March.

#19 There are 441 trillion dollars of interest rate derivatives sitting out there and interest rates have risen rapidly over the past few weeks.  What is going to happen to those derivatives if interest rates keep going higher?

So what do you think?

Are there any items that are missing that you would add to this list?

Please feel free to share what you think by posting a comment below…

  • John Galt

Thermodynamically the system is very unstable. People have been promised work product/energy not yet created. If investors, in mass, decide the financial systems are not good for the work product, there will be a panic. The western powers know this and are very worried. Basically we have extended too much credit. Systems that do that fail.

    • Graham

You have made a very profound statement re “thermodynamics”. I would recommend anybody who hasn’t grasped it to read Stephen Hawkings “A brief history of time”.

From what I recall, the law of thermodynamics prevents us from remembering the past, on the basis that the past, present and future exist in the same time continuum. Time as we know it is a construct of the mind! What is mind?

From here we move into the domain of quantum physics A science that the powers that be are fully aware of and know exactly how to manipulate, ironically to their own advantage.

When the “collective consciousness” of humanity awakens to the manipulation being carried out through mass propaganda, it’s game, set and match for the powers that be and they know it. The existing financial system is a dead donkey due to corruption.

The time you speak of may be very close, as can be witnessed by the scale of change that is being brought about by otherwise “powerless” people. The thinking mind acting in unison is anything but powerless.

We need to remember who we are before “entropy” is reached.

      • GSOB

Hawkings is really an atheist. Don’t you think so Graham?

        • Graham

Irrespective of what he is, does a mere “label” write off his findings, knowledge, wisdom and intelligence?

Ignorance has been bliss for many on this planet, whilst the elite have plundered on unabated.

You have 300 + million Americans. How many have come forward to stand up in unison against the tyranny?

Inaction will deliver nothing but it seems that all the bible pushers feel very safe. Confusion or delusion?

Abstract thoughts in the mind will not “save you” from anything. That’s why so many are disconnected from “source”.

Find out what reconnecting with “source” actually means, then go out and experience it in a non intellectual capacity.

Knowing the behaviour of matter will help. Understanding things on a quantum level will bring it all together, which mere words alone couldn’t do in scripture.

The human mind is a microcosm of something far bigger. It’s called the macrocosm.

          “Self” versus “self”.

  • K

Let me address number 2. Oil is indeed on the rise again. The rate it is going up at, tells me someone thinks Egypt may close the Suez. Last time I checked about 18% of the world oil supply, uses the Suez canal. Hopefully things will start to calm down in Egypt, now that the Army has taken over. If in spite of this they close the Suez. I would expect $4.25 a gallon gas, within a matter of days.

  • Shmeggle Marxist

the economy has been fixed, didn’t you know?
    1. obamacare
    2. gay marriage

Yep, economy’s humming right along now…so say the people in the White House, Capital Hill and on Wall Street. Everything’s fine and dandy.

      • garand555

I can’t wait to hear the “Wahhhhh, nobody could have seen this coming. Wahhhhhhhhh! Uh-oh, now that’s hitting us too? Nobody could have seen that coming either! Wahhhhhhhh!”

    • GSOB

RFID chip implementation is one that comes after obamacare.

      Also add austerity measures.

      • Graham

I believe you will be proven correct.

Ever wondered how easy it will be in this day and age of the “tattoo”, to have people take up the equivalent in “chip” form?

Look, my “tattoo” is intelligent and can do “A-Z”. I can even have it “scanned” for purchasing and it tells me when to take my meds (etc).

Welcome to Skynet and LEO. “AI” at its best for the synthetically and chemically programmed and conditioned mindset.

Zombie apocalypse. They have the population well prepared, thanks to Hollywood.

The NSA are just getting started.

          • Gay Veteran

shows how ignorant you are, I’m HIV negative.
and I imagine a lot of seniors will have to buy adult diapers

        • tebow

And that is going to cost us BIG time

      • GSOB

‘what does #2 have to do with the economy???’

Well, someone has to pay for all the gay, Federal employee’s benefits now Gay Veteran.

        You see, 1 + 1 = 2

President Obama and his healthcare plan will have us all anti up to keep up with the costs.

The Federal government is the second largest employer in this country.

We are all in for a very bumpy ride come this time next year.

        • Gay Veteran

Well, someone was paying for all the straight, Federal employee’s benefits

          • Randal

Now I have to pay for the fudge packers and their butt banditry buddies’ benefits? For Pete’s sake. When will this end? Do I have to pay for their diapers in retirement, too?

          • Gay Veteran

            awww, how witty, little troll.
and you Medicare taxes, don’t you?

      • Richard

Price of oil shoots up, stupid.

        • Gay Veteran

ok, like that makes any sense

      • Shmeggle Marxist

liberal cornerstone to F UP the country. DIG IT. all libs should raise their kids as gay and promote gay marriage for them, makes perfect sense. if a lib doesn’t promote homosexuality for their children, aren’t they showing prejudice against gays?
#2 was your favorite though, wasn’t it?

        • Gay Veteran

what a sad, bitter person you are

      • motorsportsnz

You will need to have walking shoes old chap, gas will screw up prices all around

    • Jonida Sanço

Right – Gay Marriage, brings a lot of weddings, so the economy recovers. WTF???

  • defaultplayer

That should be good news for the Dow.

  • Tim

The federal debt limit will have to be raised soon. The U.S. Treasury’s “extraordinary measures” to avoid breaching the debt limit are only expected to last a few more months. We could see another downgrade of the U.S. credit rating. However, I won’t hold my breath on that. When the U.S. government lost its AAA+ rating in August 2011, someone at Standard & Poor’s lost their job. That’s just politics in Washington, DC. But another downgrade could very well precipitate another financial crisis. It will be interesting. I’m stocking up on popcorn. 🙂

    • GSOB

There is something symbolic with 12

  • saintmatty

Read this if you are a Christian: God wants us to CALL THOSE THINGS THAT DO NOT EXIST AS THOUGH THEY DID! The Amplified version of Romans 4:17 says it so well, “… and speaks of non-existent things that He has foretold and promised, as if they already existed.” Yes, living by faith. God has all the money and jobs you need. As Christinas, we do not live by seeing, we live as though we have and we will have what we need and sometimes much more. Even at it’s worst, God will deliver us from this world to Heaven. God has a plan that is bigger and better than our plans and even America, may I dare say. Trust God and live. Thanks

    • Ayn Rand

Only the naive trust. Trust will nip you in the a** one day. I trust none and believe in none. It is better. Only I can save myself.

      • GSOB

Question then is, what are you saving yourself from?

        • Ayn Rand

          Why, the collapse of course.

      • Mondobeyondo

You gotta have trust, and you gotta have faith. In trying to save yourself, you risk losing everything.

You can not please God without faith.
        Hebrews 11:6

        • Graham

The terms “yourself and “myself” point to duality of the mind and separate entity’s within created by ego.

God is “Self”. Entirely different as it points to “unity”, not a fragmented state of mind based on duality (ego).

Religion doesn’t teach the masses many things. They are however taught to repeat parrot fashion all the conditioned beliefs. That’s why the church became a very lucrative business.

A common river flows beneath every world religion that doesnt follow the “egregore” (Lucifer), but the true knowledge was highly suppressed and restricted.

The kingdom lies within, nowhere else. Find it and you shall be duly rewarded. Thy shall be done on earth as is done in heaven. Start today.

Ministers concerned with truth rather than money will tell you this if they are educated enough. Many are just pawns of the business corporations known as mega churches.

          • Walt Lonsdale

That’s a strawman argument Graham. Religion teaches nothing and it’s only meant to lead a certain way. Christianity is relationship with Christ.

          • Graham

If you are referring to “Christ Consciousness”, then I fundamentally agree.

Mere intellectual debate and thinking about what the bible says produces nothing as it is more likely to stir the mind into false pardigm’s (ego) rather than the true source the mind should be connected with by nature.

Other religions have their own description of what “Christ Consciousness” is. To say they all need to accept Christ, as in the Christian viewpoint, is blatant nonsense and the biggest cause of division amongst people.

Division leads to war and Western wars are never ending. Note the West is predominantly Christian based. Stop feeding the bankers, most of whom follow an “egregore” anyway.

If the Vatican is the foundation of Christian teaching, why all the corruption, lies and pedo’s? That institution had a monopoly on what the masses were being taught so what are people believing in?

          • GSOB

Some of this you wrote, like ‘God is self’….,

You are off your rocker Graham!

          • Graham

I would advise you reread what was written. That is not what I wrote and I see a similar assumption has tripped up a few others.

There is a fundamental difference between “self” and “Self”.

Lower case evolves around the individual, the capital refers to the overall, as in the unified field of consciousness. Note that most people remain “unconscious”, as in they severely lack awareness of the “self”, which is “ego”.

Some call it Christ Consciousness, God consciousness, Unity consciousness, others the field of creative intelligence and so on.

Keep it simple. The “Self” is something that “connects” us all. Upon proper understanding of it, this is what Jesus and others tried to teach.

Go and research the religious people who “get it” as they are brilliant at conveying the true meaning behind biblical terminology.

The intellect alone will never understand it.

          • Mondobeyondo

One thing that I had not previously thought about:

The very words “myself” and “yourself” are egocentric. All about me, myself and I.

            IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU!!

That’s Satan’s thinking. The idea that you are your own god. And it’s ever so prevalent these days which is the same lie Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden..The whole New Age philosophy, etc.

How can this or that or some other thing, can work in MY own benefit or advantage, etc. Me, me, me. I wanna be a pop star, I want all the girls/guys. I wanna make my own rules. Don’t want some divine being making rules for me.

Ah yes. Did you get that? I wanna be my own god!! –
            Genesis 3:5

It’s not about you as an individual. You have to look at the bigger picture. Jesus did not die on a cross to satisfy His own needs, after all.

          • Graham

Can you prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the Garden of Eden story isn’t an analogy pertaining to the functioning of the human mind?

The so called “new age” philosophy arrived in the West during the late 50’s, early 60’s. It was based upon Eastern knowledge. See the Vedas that date back 6,000 years.

The knowledge was then targeted by the CIA for obvious reasons and every threatening part of it was successfully diluted down and promoted alongside many other things to put people off learning the core knowledge.

Scientific study has proven what the practice of the core knowledge can achieve, physically, biologically, emotionally and mentally.

All the world religions know about it but you can’t have the masses awakening to it when there is a great “control” opportunity. One that has raised “billions” in the process and left a huge chunk of society “suffering”.

Whilst the essence of your message may be somewhat correct, you need to know a lot more in order to fully to explain it.

Whilst Christianity is essentially “linear” in its thinking process, Buddhism (and others) are “concentric”. How does the mind (as in consciousness) “naturally” function?

If you understood what I have written properly, nothing I have said is about the “self”.

Whilst consciousness “can” become aware of the ego, the ego can “never” become aware of consciousness. That’s the reason so many people have trouble ‘getting it”.

Now you see where the human paradigm arises. One is based on “self, whilst the other is based on “Self”. Just like “God” and “god”.

Many Christians are beginning to understand what all of this actually means and they speak of a massive “strengthening” and understanding of their faith.

Very few in the West seem to understand what the word “spiritual” actually means.

            I’ve said enough.

      • Graham

I purposely criticised you the other day due to a “self description” you used as it was clearly formed by “ego”.

I think you know things, but not quiet enough. The true path is “ego eradication”. Thy shall be done on earth as is done in heaven. That would indicate that “bliss consciousness” can be experienced by the human mind here on earth.

The latter paragraph is very meaningful when properly understood. When you no longer “react” to a perceived threat, you are almost home. Then read the bible and much will become clear “naturally”. Also learn about Jesus’s missing years in the bible. Where was he, what cultures did he mix with and what knowledge did he obtain.

Watch over your breathing as its speed can be regulated to purposely change “emotions”. How fast and deeply are you breathing whilst angry? How about when your are calm and happy? It’s that simple.

Consciously slow your breathe and see what happens fairly quickly. Best to focus on it initially at the entrance to the nose.

When you become properly focused, note the energy field throughout your body. Start with the finger tips. Consciousness has a “self referral” feedback system. That’s what defines us “as human”.

Most are consciously “asleep”, yet believe they are “awake”. How much can you achieve whilst asleep?

If we have everything we could ever want or need now, what do we need Heaven for ?

      the end…

      • Mondobeyondo

Because you DON’T have everything you ever need or want now.

        That’s why you need Heaven.

    • GSOB

      What is faith?

      • bob cratchette

faith is the substance of things hoped for but not yet seen. we see through a glass dimly at this time but then face to face, scripture bears out what is happening now read about it, it was written about thousands of years ago but it is taking place now, there will be a financial collapse to set the stage for the man of pedition and locked and loaded is not going to help to many people even though I am loaded also

    • rc

Is that mean we shouldn’t bother with building food storage and buying silvers? I agree what you are saying, but in the Bible in Proverbs 27:12, “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished (other scriptures use the word ‘burn’). What you think?

    • TJJackson1

If you believe that god and/or jesus will save you, you better stock up on ketchup because those bibles are pretty dry without a little ketchup..

      • Mondobeyondo

Jesus is the only hope you, or any other human being living on this planet, has.

He paid the price. He paid the ultimate sacrifice. The skeptics will say, “Yeah, people die every day, blah blah.”

Yes they do. But not everyone is God’s only begotten Son. Someone who loved humanity so much, that He would die for us in our place, because there is NOTHING we can do to save ourselves.

No one else can save you. Mother Mary, blessed though she may be – she can’t save you. Mary didn’t die on a cross for the sins of humanity. Buddha can’t, either. Rub his tummy all you want – Buddha can’t grant you eternal life. Neither can Mohammed. or Krishna, or the Sun God Ra.

Only Jesus can do that. Only in Jesus is our hope, and our salvation.
[the preceding is strictly Mondobeyondo’s opinion, and may seem offensive to certain religious and political groups. Mondo doesn’t particularly care what other people think though.

The preceding has also not been paid by anyone, because nobody has any money to sponsor me here. So there!]

        • Wilma

Pls stop preaching about your faith ….. If you believe it … Keep it to yourself

          • Mondobeyondo

Can’t keep it to myself. Gotta tell the world. If I’m proven to be a fool, so be it. If not – then so be it…

          • tap

            im with you mo.

          • Graham

Mondo, why don’t you teach something that is “inclusive” for all, rather than the multiple subdivisions that are being created through the message you are trying to deliver?

Have non Christians not got an equal say in life? Why is Christianity being heavily promoted as some exclusive club, of which one cannot become a member until they are “saved”?

Written by a “Christian”, but one with an educated mind that remains open to the sum of all possibilities, providing they are not of “evil” intent.

If the Christian “message” was that strong and meaningful, why has your country [USA] witnessed so much tyranny?

Why has the message being delivered not been powerful enough to stop it?

From that I have to question “what is the real truth”, rather than that perhaps being “imagined” through very powerful conditioning and brainwashing.

          • mmowens

Dude, read whta Jesus says in the scripture. You are off base and this is not the forum to explain biblical theology.

          • GSOB

If you don’t believe it, you will perish Wilma. That’s not something no one ought to keep to themselves. Faith comes through hearing.

            You are incredibly ignorant.

          • Graham

Here we go again with the nonsensical “threat” of perishing. Talk about blackmail.

Especially laughable in the face of your country’s sovereignty being eliminated by the week as few have the acumen to stand up to the tyranny and “save” it.

To finish things off, you then call Wilma ignorant. This type of madness and insanity defies belief but only a rational mind will see it.

Why don’t the Christian churches across America unite their people NOW and stand in unison against the tyranny? That may then “save” everybody.

          • mmowens

Thanks for exposing the root cause of a major global and historical problem that ultimately leads to the slaughter of many millions of innocent people.

Gods mansion has many rooms. Are those rooms only fit for Jesus loving Christians?

If “God” is the field of creative intelligence and all humans are of “his” creation, is your statement not a very serious miscalculation against non Christians?

If not, please explain what the purpose is of having non Christians on planet earth. What are they here for? Conversion?

You have proven yourself to be extremely ignorant of many other cultures Mondo. Your Buddha statement is particularly laughable. Buddhists practice compassion, which has been measured physically, mentally and biologically.

Go and research “Jon Kabat Zinn”, a renowned neuroscientist. Check him out too on Google Tech Talks.

It is a man of wisdom who neither criticises nor condemns a subject of which he has little experience or knowledge.

          • Mondobeyondo

If I have offended any Buddhists out there, I sincerely apologize. That was not the intention of my post. Many religions practice compassion. Many people, too. Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and Mother Teresa, to name a few. Doesn’t mean any of them will get to heaven on their own merits or works alone.(Romans 6:23).

They needed a Savior. We all do. The whole basis of Christianity revolves around that fact.

The Holy Bible makes it clear, that there is only one way to heaven. I didn’t say it, God did.

          • tap

mo, dont apologise for the truth.

          • Graham

It’s that kind of pompous attitude that has turned millions away from religion, specifically Christianity.

Understand the “trinity” and it isn’t hard to see what’s missing. Egoic based delusion will never replace it’s spirit, nor soul.

When you try and explain that “truth” from an angle where all people can experience it within themselves, then the message made up of mere words and statements might get somewhere.

The problem is far too many are brainwashed into saying specific things when they don’t have a full grasp over what the message actually means.

Go and find a devout Christian who fully understands the process of meditation and knows how to teach it. Then you can talk about “truth” via conviction and not conditioned “thought”.

The truth will then no longer stand as a mere skeleton in the minds of the masses.

          • Richard NYC

graham it isn’t a pompous attitude its the truth as spoken by God in the Bible. if you have a problem with what God has to say that’s between you and him. those who profess to believe in the inerrant, infallible word of God that’s the Bible are told to make disciples of all nations and to tell them of the salvation that Jesus Christ offers all who come to him. Christianity isn’t a religion its a relationship with the living God.

      • GSOB

Nothing more vivid than that statement TJJackson1.
Your unbelief depicted in that statement is what the bible says you need salvation from.
But it also states that these things of God is foolishness to the natural man and that such a person can not rightly discern them.

You need Christ in you, dear blogger.

The problem is most of the professing Christian church is living like the rest of the world.Where are the Spurgeon’s and Whitfield’s? They’ve been replaced by a laodecian church that wants it’s ears tickled. From name it claim it,to purpose driven life nonsense and clowns like Osteen most of the professing church is sound asleep and steeped in sin. I disagree with the authors premise that the world economic collapse will be like a slow train wreck. For my two cents – i believe the world is cued up for a big fast fall that will put the entire world into economic chaos. I don’t know what the straw will be that will break the ponzi schemes back or when. There are so many to choose from.

File this post under “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Sphinx”…

Egypt just kicked out their democratically elected president. For all intents and purposes, it was a coup d’etat (except the U.S. isn’t calling it that). Strange how Egypt’s “Arab Spring” 2 years ago, took such a radical turn. (Yes, that pun was intended.)

Are we starting to regret Hosni Mubarak being kicked out last year? Maybe, maybe not. Mubarak was no angel, but he was a key ally in a very volatile region. Egypt and Israel were at peace. Yeah, this Morsi fellow who took over, was a change from Mubarak, for sure. Backed by the Muslim Brotherhood, aka a terrorist organization… Who is going to replace him? We’ll see. How about that classic Latin American answer – a military junta?! Let the army take over and imprison/kill political radicals and other people they don’t like..

Tune in next week for the latest episode of “As The World Burns”. Oh, and happy 4th of July. Light a Roman candle instead of cursing the darkness.

I’ve never heard of the QJV.

I use the KJV (King James Version). I feel it’s reliable, and I like the language.

      • GSOB

By the way, the QJV got its name because, according to the editors:

“Commonly known to biographers but often surprising to most Christians, King James I was a well-known bisexual. Though he did marry a woman, his many gay relationships were so well-known that amongst some of his friends and court, he was known as “Queen James.” It is in his great debt and honor that we name The Queen James Bible so.”

        • Guest

I’m aware of that allegation, but I don’t know that it’s true. It really doesn’t matter. I use the KJV because I believe it’s reliable. I don’t travel with the “KJV-only” crowd. I believe there are other good English translations. The Geneva Bible is a good one. That said, many of the versions out there today are horrible perversions of God’s Word.

          • GSOB

            That’s a good point.
I’m just saying that it takes a lot of trees to keep up with the various versions, to suit everyone’s preferences.

          • Guest

I thought you were joking about the QJV. I just looked it up, and, sure enough, it’s a book. I don’t consider it a version of the Bible though. But religionists evidently do.

I left institutional churches many years ago, so I’m not aware of much that goes on in churches today. I believe most of them are apostate. I worship at home. I believe that salvation is all of God. I am not “Reformed” or a “Calvinist.” John Calvin believed things that are unbiblical, like infant baptism. There is a lot of truth in Reformed theology, but there’s also error.

“I’m just saying that it takes a lot of trees to keep up with the various versions to suit everyone’s preferences…,”

Does that openly acknowledge that we have various versions of the so called “truth” that Christians are preaching… in order to suit everyone’s preferences?

The truth requires no defence, nor various “versions”. It stands on its own merit, backed up by facts and solid evidence.

Within the next year, Jesus will likely be proclaimed to have been “gay” as he wasn’t married, or so the masses were told.

Funny how all Jewish preachers were expected to be married whilst undertaking such a role, commonly referred to as a “Messiah”.

What lies in the Vatican’s 50 miles of sealed vaults is likely where the “only truth” lies and very few have been privileged enough to access that data.

Every bit of growth you see in Europe, UK, USA etc. is funded with yet more debt. None of these countries can even forecast when they might begin to live within their means. All of the Western economies (with the exception of Germany, Norway, Holland and Australia), run trade deficits. The UK net imports 40% of its food needs and 30% of its energy and is totally reliant on debt to fund those imports. The only strategy that the western economies have to reduce their structural deficits is to boost GDP by inflating the value of their property or other markets so that debt as a % of GDP falls. Meanwhile, manufacturing exports have flatlined because we can’t make stuff as cheaply as the Chinese and Indians. Our economies survive at the moment because historically we ran trade surpluses and built up wealth. That wealth is now being squandered as more and more of our industries and property are bought up by foreign interests. The UK has 8 automobile manufacturing plants. Not one of them is British owned. Simple math will tell you that we can’t go on forever producing less than we consume and funding that consumption with debt. Maybe we won’t have an overnight crash but the best we can hope for is a slow decline in earnings and spending power and an erosion of our standard of living. However, the way our Keynsian economic system works, a crash is just as likely.

      • Yo mama

It’s situation is pretty much bush and the other republicans fault. We had a surplus when bush took office dont-cha-know? So obummer can’t come in and pull the plug dummies. Then we really would have an economic colapse. Stop reading infowars and read a real paper occasionally.

A “mass conscious” awakening stands a far better chance of success, but it will not occur when the powers that be are doing everything to prevent such a thing happening. They would be gone within a week if it occurred. Look closer at Egypt.

The statement means reconnecting with the kingdom within. Thy shall then be done on earth as is done in heaven. We essentially use half a brain, of which on average we have 10% conscious awareness of what’s going on in that half. That leaves 90% room for improvement. How does a human achieve that?

What I’m saying applies to the whole of humanity, so it’s best to leave the man made concept of religion by the wayside and move forward united as a species.

That will get round the perceived issue of “my God (or G-D) is better than yours” crap which has led to countless wars and killed millions. Is the Western economy not often referred to as a “war economy”?

Go and figure then you will awaken to the present state of “evil” that pervades man and woman’s minds daily, weekly hourly. Kiddology leads most to believe they aren’t participating in the madness.

You will know when you have “awakened”.

The Lord Jesus warned us that in the latter days there will be a great falling away by “the church” and wickedness will increase and people will focus inwards on their own selfish desires instead of outward.

3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

4Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. – Matthew 24:3-14

One reason: The music is going to stop. The government can no longer sustain spending at current levels for Defence and Transfer payments. As an example, the SNAP program has reduced daily benifits to individuals by $1.40. While this does not sound like much at November’s end, this will result in the states of Texas and Florida having $400 million pumped into their states economy (each). Played out over several programs, this will result in the multipyer effect being reversed in exponential proportions.
