221 Percent Increase In One Year? Why Are So Many People Renouncing American Citizenship?

American FlagThe number of Americans that renounced their citizenship was 221 percent higher in 2013 than it was in 2012.  That is a staggering figure, and it is symptomatic of a larger trend.  In recent years, a lot of really good people with very deep roots in this country have made the difficult decision to say goodbye to the United States permanently.  A few actually go to the trouble to renounce their citizenship, and that is mostly done for tax purposes.  But most willingly choose to leave America for other reasons.  Some were very serious when they said they would leave the U.S. if Barack Obama got a second term, some (such as Jesse Ventura) are dismayed at how our freedoms and liberties are eroding and are alarmed at the rise of the Big Brother police state, some are absolutely disgusted by the social and moral decay that is eating away at the foundations of our society, and there are yet others that consider "the grass to be greener" on the other side of the planet.  Personally, I have a number of friends that have made the very hard decision to relocate their families thousands of miles away because they see what is coming to America and they believe that there isn't any hope of turning things around at this point.  I also have a lot of friends that are determined to stay in the United States no matter what.  When it comes to the future of America, almost everyone has a very strong opinion, and these are discussions that we need to start having.

Once upon a time, the United States was seen as "the land of opportunity" all over the globe and it seemed like everyone wanted to come here.

But now that is all changing.  As we have abandoned the principles that this country was founded upon, our economy has gone steadily downhill.

As I wrote about the other day, the middle class in America is slowly dying.  As millions of good paying jobs have been shipped out of the country, the competition for the remaining jobs has become quite intense.  At this point, there is even tremendous competition for minimum wage jobs.

Compared to exactly six years ago, 1,154,000 fewer Americans have jobs.  Meanwhile, our population has gotten significantly larger since then.  There simply are not enough jobs for everyone, and we continue to fall even farther behind.  In January, the economy only added 113,000 jobs and in December the economy only added 75,000 jobs.  Both of those figures are well below what we need just to keep up with population growth.

Looking ahead, things look even more troubling.

The number of "planned job cuts" in January was 12 percent higher than 12 months earlier, and it was actually 47 percent higher than in December.

The competition for jobs has also resulted in an extended period of declining incomes in the United States.

As I mention frequently, median household income in the United States has fallen for five years in a row, and the rate of homeownership in the United States has fallen for eight years in a row.

Those that read my articles regularly probably have those facts memorized by now.

In addition, a study that just came out has shown that the number of "low-wage breadwinners" in the United States is at an all-time high...

A staggering number of American households are relying on low-wage jobs as their leading or sole source of income.

Meet the low-wage breadwinner. There were about 21 million of them in the United States in 2011, according to a forthcoming study by University of Massachusetts Boston economists Randy Albelda and Michael Carr.

Unlike other studies which often focus just on low-wage workers, the researchers looked at those who also live in low-income households. This way, they were able to strip out the teenager making $8 an hour flipping burgers but still living comfortably with his parents. Or the mom who works a part-time job in retail to supplement her husband's otherwise ample salary.

For tens of millions of average American families, there simply is not enough money left at the end of each month.

That is why many of them turn to debt to try to make up the difference.  Consumer credit is increasing at an alarming pace once again, and when the next great economic shock arrives many of those families are going to be in for a tremendous amount of financial pain.

In this type of economic environment, it should not be a surprise that anger, frustration and desperation are rising to very dangerous levels.

It was desperation and a fear of losing everything that he had ever worked for that drove one 80-year-old man to become a methamphetamine courier.

It was intense anger and frustration that drove a 58-year-old military veteran to package up cat feces and send it to employers that had turned him down...

Rather than simply grumble to himself or complain to others, a St. Louis man aggrieved by a company's failure to hire him took another approach.

Jevons Brown packaged up cat feces and sent it through the mail.

Brown, 58, was sentenced Friday to two years of probation after pleading guilty in August to a misdemeanor charge of mailing injurious articles.

The plea says Brown, a veteran, became frustrated with his lack of employment opportunities and lashed out at employees of companies that failed to hire him.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

In the years ahead, we are going to see much, much worse.

And if you do lose everything, don't expect anyone to care very much.  There is already a frightening lack of compassion for those that are down on their luck in the United States today.  For example, in Pensacola, Florida it is actually illegal for homeless people to use blankets or cardboard boxes to shield themselves from the cold...

So there I was with my wife and three kids, all of us huddled under blankets with the fireplace roaring, watching the temperature continue to drop from a comfortable 65 degrees down to 45. But outside it was 17 degrees and raining and sleeting, and if you were homeless, you had to consider that if you used a blanket to shield yourself from the elements, that you might be hauled off to jail for a violation of a local ordinance prohibiting using blankets, cardboard, or newspaper to cover yourself.

Once you lose everything, society just wants you to go away.

And this lack of compassion is going to get a whole lot worse during the very hard times that are coming.

So it is easy to understand why many Americans would want to get out of this country while they still can.

However, the truth is that the grass is not necessarily greener on the other side.

For instance, you may be dreaming of moving to a tropical paradise where you can enjoy the sand and the sun every single day.

In the past, many Americans considered Puerto Rico a good place to relocate to.  After all, it is a United States territory and if you only speak English you can still get around pretty well.

But you wouldn't want to move down to Puerto Rico these days.  Right now it is in the middle of a full-blown economic collapse...

Puerto Rico’s slow-motion economic crisis skidded to a new low last week when both Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s downgraded its debt to junk status, brushing aside a series of austerity measures taken by the new governor, including increasing taxes and rebalancing pensions. But that is only the latest in a sharp decline leading to widespread fears about Puerto Rico’s future. In the past eight years, Puerto Rico’s ticker tape of woes has stretched unabated: $70 billion in debt, a 15.4 percent unemployment rate, a soaring cost of living, pervasive crime, crumbling schools and a worrisome exodus of professionals and middle-class Puerto Ricans who have moved to places like Florida and Texas.

In fact, Puerto Rico is a preview of the kind of societal chaos that we could be seeing inside the United States in just a few years...

Schools sit shuttered either because of disrepair or because of a dwindling number of students. In this typically convivial capital, communities have erected gates and bars to help thwart carjackers and home invaders. Illegal drugs, including high-level narcotrafficking, are one of the few growth industries.

Well, what about South America?

In recent years, South America has been an extremely popular destination for those wishing to leave the United States.

Unfortunately, many areas of South America are experiencing full-blown economic collapse right now as well.  As I wrote about recently, deteriorating economic conditions have resulted in widespread crime, looting, violence, blackouts, shortages of basic supplies, and runs on the banks in Argentina and Venezuela.  The following is an excerpt from a recent interview with Fernando Aguirre who actually lives down in Argentina...

Chris Martenson:  Okay. Bring us up to date. What is happening in Argentina right now with respect to its currency, the peso?

Fernando Aguirre:  Well, actually pretty recently, January 22, the peso lost 15% of its value. It has devalued quite a bit. It ended up losing 20% of its value that week, and it has been pretty crazy since then. Inflation has been rampant in some sectors, going up to 100% in food, grocery stores 20%, 30% in some cases. So it has been pretty complicated. Lots of stores don't want to be selling stuff until they get updated prices. Suppliers holding on, waiting to see how things go, which is something that we are familiar with because that happened back in 2001 when everything went down as we know it did.

Chris Martenson:  So 100%, 20% inflation; are those yearly numbers?

Fernando Aguirre:  Those are our numbers in a matter of days. In just one day, for example, cement in Balcarce, one of the towns in Southern Argentina, went up 100% overnight, doubling in price. Grocery stores in Córdoba, even in Buenos Aires, people are talking about increase of prices of 20, 30% just these days. I actually have family in Argentina that are telling me that they go to a hardware store and they aren't even able to buy stuff from there because stores want to hold on and see how prices unfold in the following days.

Well, what about Europe?

Isn't Europe a lot more stable?

Unfortunately, that is not necessarily true.  In recent years we have seen rioting, civil unrest and Depression-like conditions in Ukraine, Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

And now you can add Bosnia to that list...

More than 150 people were wounded in Bosnia on Friday in the worst civil unrest in the country since the 1992-95 war as anger over the dire state of the economy and political inertia boiled over.

Angry protesters set fire to part of the presidential palace in Sarajevo in protests over unemployment and corruption, as well as government buildings in the capital Sarajevo, Tuzla and Zenica.

Just because you move out of the United States does not necessarily mean that you will avoid what is coming.

We are heading for a global economic collapse, and the pain is going to be felt to the farthest corners of the planet.

But of course there are many that will end up leaving the United States and will ultimately thrive.

So what do you think?

Is now a time for people to consider leaving the United States permanently?

Where is there to go? The United States was supposed to be the last bastion of freedom. Japan is the only other country I would like to go to and they have serious issues themselves.

    • Rodster

At least they have beautiful women and fish that glow in the dark. :)

      • Bryce Ward

Yeah. Definatly. Japanese women are HOTT! Plus their entertainment is the best in the world.

        • davidmpark

Agree with the entertainment. My kids love One Piece, Pokemon, and YuGiOh.

As for the women; I’m married, so… you know… I don’t look around anymore :)

    • Jim Davis

I’d say Fukushima kind of makes that country a no-go.

      • Kim

Japan is wrecked. So is California.

    • Azrael

Eastern Europe – cheap land, very permissible laws (guns excluded and even laws excluded if you know what higher palm to grease) and a close community with high moral standards.

    • dadelaw

Plenty of places. (See my post elsewhere on this subject). Bryce, please don’t exhibit any more of your ignorance… “Japan is the only other country I would like to go”. You really don’t know that, do you?

      • Malcolm Reynolds

You’re telling him he doesn’t know what other countries he would like to go to?
        LOL

        • dadelaw

No, no, no… it’s me doing the LOL. Read the first question of his post. He asks, “where is there to go?” If I’m not mistaken, that means he doesn’t know where else there is to go and is looking for advice. I call that either ignorance or else yet another example of covert American Exceptionalism at play (my choice).

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Him: ” Japan is the only other country I would like to go to

You: “Japan is the only other country I would like to go”. You really don’t know that, do you?

Seems pretty cut n dry to me.

          • dadelaw

Yes, dummy, Japan is the only other country he’d like to go to… BECAUSE, as he admits at the top, HE DOESN’T KNOW WHERE ELSE TO GO. Are you having reading problems or is this selective quoting at work here? (Oh, of course. You’re ‘religious’, aren’t you, so anything goes, doesn’t it?)

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Ya, the way you’re foaming at the mouth about God, I wouldn’t expect you to be perceptive enough to understand it was a rhetorical question followed by his own desire.
            Keep calm and stupid on.

          • dadelaw

Do stop talking drivel, idiot. It was NOT a rhetorical question – and you know it. Oh, God told you it was a rhetorical question, right? That’s how you know, of course.
How frustrating is it to have to support such idiocy to the point at which you have to call me names and cast silly aspersions? I feel for you.

          • chilller

Hope you have a very good lawyer…you’ve crossed the line….and in case you haven’t noticed…I have VERY sharp teeth!

          • dadelaw

Sorry, you got the wrong guy. I think it’s Azrael you have a truck with. Not me!

          • davidmpark

Azrael is gone, mate. A lot of his posts deleted… :)

          • Malcolm Reynolds

“Where is there to go? The United States was supposed to be the last bastion of freedom”

            rhetorical….

Umkay, run along now moron. You go right ahead and tell him he doesn’t know which country he wants to go to.

        • davidmpark

This is guy needs serious professional help. Not just the usual Leftist impertinence, arrogance, hypocrisy, and projection. But thinks he can read minds? Has the authority to define ignorance?

I know it’s an Alinsky tactic, but still seems maladjusted.

  • CarolinaSistah

No hope but the Lord! Christians have to rise-up and give compassionately as they never have before. Families have to pull together and help each other as they did in days gone by.

    • Guest

      Amen, Sistah! :-)

    • Rodster

Too bad the secular progressives did such a masterful job of removing God from the lives of people. During the first economic collapse people had friends, Church, God and one another to pull them thru.

Central Planning changed all of that so that you are beholden and rely on the STATE for sustenance.

      • CarolinaSistah

The Church has allowed the leaven to infiltrate, corrupt, and bloat it with complacency and worldliness.
Judgment is coming and it will begin with the house of the Lord. The Church will be purified as the Bride of Christ that she is. Glory to God!

        • dadelaw

          Huh?

          • CarolinaSistah

Which part of my comment do you question?

          • dadelaw

I don’t ‘question’ anything about your comment. I question your sanity. You have no idea what you’re talking about. You just parrot some ancient texts and then hope…. Why do you people do this to yourselves. There’s more evil, disease, hate, unhappiness than ever before and the more there is, the more we get “Glory to God!” and stuff about “The Bride of Christ”. Wow!!

          • CarolinaSistah

The only reason there is not more evil, disease, hate and unhappiness is because God is here among His people. But the Bible tells us that God will not always strive with man (Gen 6:3).
When God’s people are gone, so is He. Then you will see the hell you so greatly fear.

          • dadelaw

“The only reason there is not more evil, disease, hate and unhappiness is because God is here among His people.”
Yeah, it all sounds so nice and pat, doesn’t it? But there’s just one little problem: you don’t KNOW that. You just throw it out there and ‘hope’ it sticks. Well, ‘fraid not, systuh. Doesn’t work around these parts…

          • CarolinaSistah

You’re right Dadelaw. That’s my job. Just throw the truth out there. You have free-will — accept or reject. Bye now. I’ve done my part.
God is real and He walked this Earth as a man named Jesus. He’s waiting for you to seek Him out.

          • dadelaw

“I’ve done my part”. And you did it very well. You really did your best. I’m proud of you.

          • Eric Quintero

“And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”
            Matthew 19:24

The reason we are in this mess is due to AVARICE.

Extreme greed brought us subprime lending, the petro dollar, going off of the gold standard, hypercapitalism, Wal-Mart, food shortages and Outsourcing just to name a few.

So you see, we did not heed the teachings of the Bible and look where we are.

          • Priszilla

for those who dont believe in god a wealthy life on earth is all they want.
and if they can make the poor believe that obedience and hope for a better afterlife will get them into the kingdom of god, all the better.

          • Eric Quintero

Many Christians believe that God rewards his servants and people who are blessed are seen as having been ‘graced by God.’

This pokes a big hole in your assumption that people who worship God are all poor obedient slaves.

Do a little research into our Nation’s founding. Many people back then believed in hard work and dedication. This hard work often translated into wealth and prestige.

          • Priszilla

But you don’t get wealthy from hard work.

So these poor souls were deceived by the rich: “Work more for me and you will be as rich as I.”

Doesn’t work that way. You only get rich by exploiting people, stealing the result of the work of others and compensating them with a pittance, and keeping them in place with the help of the middle class as henchmen.

          • RealityBetraysUs

SOBUILDING COMPUTERS IN CHINA THAT ONLY COSTS MANY 20$ TO MAKE BUT RESELL THEM TO STUPID AMERICANS FOR 1500$ yOU MAKE TONS OF PROFIT LIKE APPLE COMPUTER BUT THEY CAN NOT BRING THE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN PROFIT HOME TO THE USA OR THEY WILL GET TAXED AT A RATE OF 35% CAPITAL GAINS! so ALL OUR MONEY HEMORAGES TO OVERSEAS SLAVE LABOR CAMPS AND WE CAN NOT EVEN SEE THE PROFITS BACK HERE IN THE USA to rebuild the economy because that money ain’t ever coming back to the USA again!Welcome to the NWO where Americans can look forward to getting screwed in the future….

          • Priszilla

            You don’t understand international trade.

The factories in China do not belong to apple.

Foxconn is a Taiwanese manufacturer, that has a subsidiary in Hong Kong, that has invested money in China. Taiwanese are not permitted to invest in China.

They sell products to a trading company that is registered in the Bahamas.

Thatctrading company sells the products to apple.

          • RealityBetraysUs

i DON’T CARE ABOUT THE INTRICATE DETAILS, ALL I AM SAYING IS YOU WANT TO FIND THE WICKED EVIL PEOPLE WHO PROFIT FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL…THAT IS WHAT PI’S DO IN MURDER CASES AND THEY HAVE DEFINITELY MURDERED THE MIDDLE CLASS IN aMERICA AS WELL AS OUR JOBS!!! IT SHOULD NOT TAKE MORE THAN A GRADE SCHOOL MENTALITY TO REGOCNIZE EVIL WHEN THEY FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL…

          • Priszilla

Why would I want to find them? I’m better off without them.

          • Priszilla

(OK, third try, why does my computer always crash when connecting to this website???)

The factories in China do not belong to Apple.

Foxconn is a Taiwanese manufacturer which probably has a subsidiary in Hong Kong, which then invested in China, as there are some restrictions on Taiwanese in China.

Foxconn sells the apples to a trading company in Hong Kong, which is registered in the Bahamas. Which then sells the products to apple.

Your money goes to the Bahamas, only very little reaches the Chinese worker.

          • dadelaw

Yes you are absolutely right. The human race is an abomination actually. Natural instincts are odious and you have your “God” to thank for that. But OF COURSE you will excuse the poor guy by saying he “gave” us “free will” and it’s not the poor darling’s fault. Never mind that a god that gives us that kind of free will is obviously a monster to start with – if he even exists (which, of course he doesn’t).
So I’m afraid to say you really got your knickers in a twist with that one.

You need to read the hundreds of accounts of those of us who died and either went to heaven or hell. I died and went to heaven and it is very real and GOD is very real and I don’t need a revision of the old or new testament to tell me what I saw and experienced first hand.

          • dadelaw

I know you did. So did I. Wonderful experience, isn’t it? Great restaurants, by the way. And the beaches in heaven… to die for.. Oops, I’m spposed to be dead already, aren’t I? Pun NOT intended…

Tell that to the many who have died and gone to hell and back.

          • TheWatchman

Dade, I was like you. God is invisible. You cant see Him, you cant touch Him. You talk to Him and you don’t hear Him talk back.He seems like an imaginary friend for a child. Why do so many otherwise intelligent adults believe in Him? They cant all need a crutch! Read the story of Jesus. He didn’t win people over just with persuasive arguments. He healed the sick, raised the dead, read peoples minds, performed various miracles at different times. Water into wine,(my personal favorite). The point is, he proved he was something special and worth consideration by displays of power, and THEN he reasoned with people. Stop listening to your own voice and the voices of the other naysayers for a moment and just give God a chance! One time at least. I’m sure you’ve done silly things in the past and you’ll do silly things in the future. Let this be one of them if that is the case. At least you gave God a chance to prove Himself. Cry out to Heaven! God if you are real, show me! Give me a sign, throw me a bone! I’m listening!..Do it with humility and no cocky attitude and He might surprise you!

          • dadelaw

I have some very bad news for you, the Watchman. Not only was my father a “clerk in holy orders” but I sang for five years in the second most famous church choir in the world (after the Vienna Boys’ Choir) so I actually have more experience of religion than probably anybody writing on this blog.

Here’s my problem with what you write:

You are fervently extolling the virtues of Christianity but what about all the other religions on the planet? They also have their idols which they revere and push forward for your consumption with which you would obviously also disagree. But it ALWAYS comes down to the same thing with religion: it’s all a guessing game. The reason so many “otherwise intelligent adults believe in Him” (to quote you) is because people are DESPERATE to find meaning in their lives. Humans have to control everything. They can’t accept that they just come and then they go. Their egos require that they are “here for a reason” and that their souls live on into eternity and that there’s a great party of other festive souls “up there” waiting to receive you with open arms when your time comes. Religion simply follows from that. All religions have “answers” for the conundrum of existence. Jesus was a fast-talking Jewish salesman. No doubt about it. He pissed off the colonial authorities. No doubt about that either. He was a threat to the status quo. Absolutely no question about it with his goody-goody attitudes about “right and wrong”. So he received the standard capital punishment to get him out of the way. But people then glommed on to this (quite a while later, I might add) to turn the whole thing into a cult spectacle and so now today you’re infected just like everybody else. The whole thing is both sad and ridiculous… but then the human condition is pretty pathetic at the best of times so that’s no surprise…

            Hope that answers your question.

          • Wayne Chipman

Dadelaw your problem is you went to a Catholic Church, they have nothing to do with Jesus. Even if You were Buggered more times than you can count by a Priest, You can stop being a Homosexual.

Try finding the God who is the Father of Jesus, that is the Key

          • dadelaw

You see, that’s the problem with ‘Christians’. When push comes to shove, they’re not ‘good’ and ‘forgiving’ and ‘wise’, they’re just a-holes like this creep above. If you were REALLY a Christian, you’d treat me with kid gloves and feel sorry for me and gently chide me and wish me well in my misguided efforts to find the truth (or whatever dreadful cliches you might invent). but nah… you’re just a typical shoot-from-the-hip animal (with apologies to animals)… probably haven’t been to church since you can remember. But you do know how to wear your wretched “Christian” heart on your sleeve, dontcha?

          • peace angel

I have news for you with no regard for the BIble either way I can tell you and hundreds of others have written about their trips to heaven and hell and back to earth. You are clueless. GOD and heaven and satan and hell sure do exist and the most recent person to die and go to heaven was a US brain doctor who not only had this experience but came back and proved it is NOT an imaginary brain malfunction that those who refuse to believe like to parrot. ALL of us who died and went to heaven have experienced in great detail the exact same thing.

THIS is no coincidence but based on real life experience.

          • dadelaw

Yeah, right, sweetheart. And I’ve got a bridge to sell you in the Nevada desert.

Coincides nicely with the rise of liberal leftist progressivism doesn’t it.

          • Gay Veteran

            bilge. read some history

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Ahhh. I love the smell of denial and leftist revisionism.

            Take Your own advice.

          • Gay Veteran

hey junior, you can follow that advice too

        • Azrael

Which church are you talkin’ about? Cause by the last count there are over 30.000 of them.

      • Mike Smithy

The STATE is now their God. They worship at the temple of the Federal Reserve and John Maynard Keynes is their prophet.

      • Derp

I love how religious folk always seem to blame the heathens for all the world’s troubles. Hey, chuckleheads…aren’t the people you elected to government also Christians? Honestly, if you spent more time trying to come up with solutuins, as you spend trying to pin the blame for this and that…maybe things would get better.

        • Malcolm Reynolds

“…aren’t the people you elected to government also Christians? ”
          Nancy Pelosi is a catholic.
          Harry Reid is a Mormon.
Sorta takes the credibility out of your sails when you militant atheists blame everything on Christians. Those two morons know as much about being Christians as I do about being a woman.

        • Wayne Chipman

Most in the public eye who claim to be Christians are not.

      • Gay Veteran

“Too bad the secular progressives did such a masterful job of removing God from the lives of people….”

        • Malcolm Reynolds

as you spout out the other side of your mouth, don’t force your religious principles on me.

          • Gay Veteran

            to use your favorite word:
            LIAR

          • Malcolm Reynolds

There you go again. Here, lemme help you with that definition.
liar — n a person who has lied or lies repeatedly

Now, you’re accusing me of saying something about you that isn’t true. The thing is, I can go look in your history and prove you say that stuff – all without even leaving this website…. LIAR!

Would you like me to prove that you’re a LIAR?

          • Gay Veteran

            sure junior, go ahead

          • Malcolm Reynolds

“hey Einstein, if a woman gives up her child for adoption then it is indeed an unwanted baby. you need to adopt (accept a burden) before you impose your will on someone and force them to give birth.”

“hey Diana, you sexually repressed theocrat, how many unwanted babies have YOU adopted”

“man it is amazing that you anti-abortion types always have an excuse not to adopt.
btw, I’m not the one trying to turn women into slaves, so no adoption for me

“Recruit? no, that’s what you “religious” whackos do”

          • Gay Veteran

well junior you STILL haven’t shown any lies

          • Malcolm Reynolds

That took all of 4 minutes, junior. So yea, you’re a LIAR!
I’d keep going but good Lord you’re one dumb sack of shizzle and I can only go thru so much of your pablum. Holy crap you apparently love humping my leg too.

Ya, correspondence course paralegal AT BEST. dumber than a bag of hammers.

          • Gay Veteran

you haven’t shown jacksh*t, just a bunch of quotes YOU disagree with.
            Perry Mason you ain’t

          • Malcolm Reynolds

            A WHOLE hour ago…

            “the sexually repressed Taliban wannabe”

          • Gay Veteran

AGAIN, you present a quote you don’t like. NOTHING to do with lies. LIAR

“no one is talking about killing actual babies that could be adopted”

          • Gay Veteran

hey Perry Mason wannabe, WHERE’S the lie???

          • Malcolm Reynolds

I’m just gonna sum up my response into one short, concise message. YOU’RE A LOON!

          • Gay Veteran

shorter version of your BS: I called you a liar but I can’t back it up, now I will change the subject.
            You REMF POS.
You claim you support freedom but you want the government to control us, you POS.
Parents? yours probably dumped you at a fire station

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Ya, I think the list of your words I put up here proving what I said about you indicates you’re a LIAR and a LOON. Oooh, touched a nerve I see – 2 times POS.
Nah, my parents spent the latter half of December here with me and my family. Was a great time…
How old were you when your parents disowned you, pervert?

          • Gay Veteran

awwww, it’s a failed Perry Mason wannabe.
            LIAR

          • Malcolm Reynolds

LOL. You gonna change that subject quick, huh butt pirate. YARRRR!

You can call me a liar and you can try to condescend to me every time you post – my conscience is clear and your taunts are meaningless.

You know you’re the liar here and the only tool in your bag is to change the subject.

          • Gay Veteran

you’re a troll who likes to call people liar and then is unable to prove it.
bearing false witness, and yet you probably think you’re a “good Christian”

          • Malcolm Reynolds

oooookay. lol, this conversation is over. loon

          • Gay Veteran

yeah, you need to slither away, bearer of false witness

          • Malcolm Reynolds

There’s that strawman definition you were looking for, poopy pants.

          • Gay Veteran

            yawn

          • Gay Veteran

and here is where YOU lied:

            “…women should kill their children….”

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Nah, you said you support abortion.
See where I posted you said so. of course, I’m gonna guess you’ll play stupid and try to parse that’s not what you meant. LIAR!

          • Gay Veteran

uh, my comments have always shown that I support a woman’s right to control her own body.
            again, Perry Mason you ain’t

        • Wayne Chipman

You can ask God to help You stop being a Homosexual, it is a Vile, Filthy and Disease spreading act.

          • Gay Veteran

awwww, the sexually repressed Taliban wannabe is back

          • peace angel

            It is genetic.

    • dadelaw

Oh NOOOOO… Not ‘The Lord’ yet AGAIN. Why would you “hope” in “The Lord” when HE got you into this mess in the first place? Oh yes, of course, some joker’s going to tell me that you availed yourself of your ‘God-Given’ “free choice” or any other lame excuse that’ll get “god” off the hook.

      • CarolinaSistah

Ask yourself WHY you shriek at the mention of the “Lord”. Did you know that according to many instances in the gospels, whenever the demons that indwelled men encountered Jesus they cried out in fear?

        • Priszilla

Just stay home, pray, wait for your god to save you and dont intensify the mess.
sing with your kids, dance with them, reqd them stories at bedtike and teach them reading, cleanliness and recycling. that helps a lot already.
and if they go out killing people, feel free to stone your own kids.

          • CarolinaSistah

Hahahahaa The devil is a liar and he says the same ole’ thing. Not an original line in him. Peace out!

          • CarolinaSistah

I thought I had replied to your hateful post earlier, but can’t seem to find it. Let me just post this…
I and other people of faith are not your enemies. Rev. Billy Graham talks about the “offence of the Cross”.
The Cross on which Jesus gave His life for my sins and yours is done and will not be repeated for those who still don’t believe. All will have to face that Cross one day (I have). Some of us will choose to accept that Cross and the love and forgiveness it represents; and some of us will not.
I hope one day, you will choose Jesus and the Cross.

        • Azrael

Can you tell me when was that magical time when demons that indwelled men encountered Jesus and they cried out in fear? Because i can’t find any quote on that in the buybull.

          • Guest

It’s in the book of Matthew–the first book of the New Testament. It’s in other books as well. But read Matthew, and you’ll see it.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

You can expect an apology or retraction in 3..2..
Oh wait, mouth foaming atheists don’t apologize.

          • jox

On the other side, religious fanatics apologize all the time for all the pain and wars and frustration they generate in the real world.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

And yet godless secular humanists put the ‘religious fanatics’ to shame in the mass murder dept now don’t they dolt.

          • Wayne Chipman

Christians do not start Wars, the Catholics who call themselves Christian start the Wars.
Catholics have been Murdering Christians for Hundreds of Years.
All the Genocide and Ethnic cleansing of the last 100 years has been of Christians.
Hitler did not kill 6 million Jews, He killed 6 million Christian Jews.
Russia killed around 17 Million Christians during this time period.

          • Azrael

The pigs story? Strange, i don’t see anywhere in there something about crying in fear. All i see is some dead pigs.
BTW can you explain why the pigs had to die? And most of all, what were pigs doing in jewish land?

        • Gay Veteran

Some [unnamed] people don’t really understand how the world works, or what is really going on out there.

      • Jam

Excuse me, God didn’t do this to us. We did it to ourselves. I also don’t believe God is here among us. We are going to be tested more severely than any other time in history. There will be many who will fall, even those that claim to believe in him. It will be faith that will save, faith in him,and each other.

        • dadelaw

I happen to agree with you. I only put it the way I did to try to talk”their”
language and inject a modicum of LOGIC into their putrid discussions. Of course God didn’t do this to us BECAUSE there is no such entity. However, faith in
‘him’ will be the downfall of those who believe because they will be wasting
valuable mental energy trusting a nonexistent being. ‘Faith in each other’ also
seems a trite fanciful. Each person is on his/her own when it comes to solving
these problems. Depending on others usually leads to trouble.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

            “wasting valuable mental energy”
which is clearly in short supply with you.

          • davidmpark

This guy has clearly issues, Mal.

I think the Gary’s are breeding.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

            LMAO!
            Cellular Mitosis.

          • davidmpark

            We can only hope…

          • Wayne Chipman

Hi Malcom, You are better off reasoning with a Rock than an Atheist. The Rock has more intelligence.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Ya, I think you may be correct.

        • Priszilla

So you are responsible for climate change?
Why then wait and hope for god to fix it?

    • Rene Girrard

Thank you for taking a stand for the Lord Jesus Christ.

    • Priszilla

There is no need to believe in a savior, messiah or fuhrer to help each other.

      • CarolinaSistah

There are many non-believers who do good works.
But those of us who do believe; do good works because we love our Savior, not because we have to do them.

        • Azrael

Then you aren’t actually good, you’re just an evil person that tries to blend in with the crowd.

          • CarolinaSistah

I see your demon! The Bible calls him “accuser of the brethren”.
I have an advocate Named Jesus. He speaks on my behalf to the Father, who allows me to come in and fellowship with Him.
As an unbeliever, you can’t even access God, His Son doesn’t know you. If you mock me, you mock God.
Get thee behind me Satan in Jesus Name!

          • Azrael

Go hump your god and be over with it, all this unconsummated lust isn’t good for your mental health, whatever is left of it.

          • peace angel

Unbelievers access GOD daily all over the world. You will not reach this generation of evolutionist atheists with bible quotes and hatred.

GOD is a loving GOD and expects the same from his followers.

          • CarolinaSistah

Unbelievers access God? How? Can darkness and light exist together? God is indeed loving. But He is also Holy and Just.
You cannot create a god of your choosing. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO man comes to the Father except through me.” That is truth that I stand on and nothing you say can change it.

          • peace angel

YES non believers and unbelievers alike access GOD every day through prayer. NO one can create a god by choosing or not.

You have no idea what Jesus said and didn’t say. HE never spoke to you. HE did not speak to me during my time in HEAVEN either.

YOU can stand on biblical quotations but I stand by my studies of the bible and IF you read my other comments on this thread which I don’t have time to write again, you will see that my studies of the BIble prove that to quote it as gospel makes you and GOD look a fool and nothing you can say can change that. I am a truth seer and a truth seeker and GOD gives me my truths, not the words of MEN in the King James version of the BIBLE.

I don’t follow the word of man.

          • CarolinaSistah

I see your demon too. Get thee behind me satan. It is written, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. There is no other way to God the Father except by Him.

          • peace angel

You see my demon because I don’t follow lost men in churches????

You are the satanic one here and you are not winning any souls as the Bible demands that you do. THE only way to heaven is to live an entire lifetime in which you love every single human that you meet. THERE is no other way to GOD the father except through love and everyone who dies and goes to heaven KNOWS this on reentry to earth. Your hate filled words will prohibit you entry to heaven and that is a fact. You fail GOD everytime you make hate filled remarks proving you think you are better than all god’s children. You are not and just like all the kids on here, you come here to deal with your personal anger which you cannot manage without hurting other people and elevating yourself to a false position of hypo critical behavior..

          • CarolinaSistah

Be quiet demon in the Name of Jesus! I am covered by the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. I am under no authority but Jesus Christ as a child of Almighty God. I command you again, get behind me satan, in the Name of Jesus! I bind you in Jesus Name.

          • peace angel

YOU ARE A NUT CASE WITH A NEED TO ARGUE AND CURSE AT PEOPLE. i AM DONE. I HAVE NO TIME FOR IDIOTS.

        • Priszilla

So why do you always instill fear in those non-believers?

Why do you need fear to function?

          • Wayne Chipman

If Truth brings Fear to You, just maybe you should open your eyes to the Truth. It will then bring peace to you instead of Terror.

          • Priszilla

You mean by threatening people with hell, you just tell them the truth?

Telling you you are stupid is just telling you the truth.

            No problem then.

    • Azrael

Wait a minute here! Why do you put your hope in a god that allowed all of this to happen? Isn’t that pointless?

      • Malcolm Reynolds

Because unlike you hive minded leftists that have no tolerance for free will, God does.

        • whiplash

What does left vs. right, or religion have to do with the subject of this article?

          • davidmpark

            Surprisingly little!

          • Gay Veteran

because in the articles here you can’t go 20 comments without someone parroting bible verses

          • Malcolm Reynolds

          • Gay Veteran

            f**k you, I go where I please

          • Malcolm Reynolds

*shrug* then stop whining about the conversation, stupid beotch.
            I’d figure a paralegal could figure out 1+1 = 2

          • Gay Veteran

awwwww, little troll trying to speak ghetto

          • Malcolm Reynolds

            There you go again.
Yikes! Does your boss tolerate your inability to define words? when he lets you out from under his desk, that is.

          • Gay Veteran

well junior you’re the one talking about “stupid beotch”.
guess your momma didn’t teach you no manners

        • Azrael

Actually i’m not affiliated to any political party but hat doesn’t matter you’re too dumb anyway to understand that.
BTW, in case you didn’t knew that before here it is: when dealing with an all powerful god there is no free will – it being all knowing it means that it knew what you’re going to be and do even before creation and if it wouldn’t have agreed with that it would have altered its creation accordingly.

        • davidmpark

Are these guys getting paid to type this crazy stuff?

Wonder what the starting rate is for “Leftist 5th Columnist Blogger” these days?

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Well, leftists sold their souls for about a buck fifty, so it’s cheap, that’s for sure.

          • davidmpark

EBT cards of filled with IOU’s and good intentions.

          • Wayne Chipman

That is probably about what an Atheist soul is worth.

        • jox

If even God has tolerance for free will, how is that you christian fanatics don’t support free will in moral issues as abortion or gay marriage? It’s very surprising that you want to impose your moral even more than God himself. (ok, I know there is no God, but only to follow your reasoning…)

          • Malcolm Reynolds

fanatics? All of a sudden I’m a fanatic? You don’t even know me, poopy pants.

          • Wayne Chipman

When You Murder a Baby isn’t that taking away the Babies free will.

Homosexuality breeds Disease, isn’t that taking away Heterosexuals right to be free of these Diseases created by Homosexuals.

        • Gay Veteran

really? most “leftists” think women have the free will to determine what happens to their bodies

          • Wayne Chipman

            You sickos worship Baby Murder.

Women only Abort for the Thrill of Killing a Human. No other Reason, it is a Blood Sacrifice to Lucifer.

          • Gay Veteran

            wow, you’re a regular whackjob

          • peace angel

I have counseled rape victims for decades who were made pregnant by violence and horror and who would hate the child of their rapist. Already 27 parents in the US kill their children weekly and many of those children endured years of abuse. IS that a better plan for a child???

    • dharma

this what happens u leave God (path of Dharma) and start following satan. u loose compassion and empathy. u only think abut urself and ur satanic gratification. wake up, sacrifice for ur own children and grand children. remember ur forefathers started from zero and brought prosperity for u!

    • Vlad Lenin

Tell that to the Christians in my area. They’re only concerned with building massive churches and recruiting new members. When I first arrived in this area and met a new person, 1 out of 4 times, their first words were “which church do you go to?” One thing I’ve found out since then is most Christians in this area are hypocrites of the first order. They go to church only to be seen, they drink and use drugs to excess, they cheat, they stab people in the back…and then have the freaking nerve to come in Monday morning and want to talk about that great sermon on Sunday. I think all religious people need to get their house in order first before preaching to the rest of us.

      • peace angel

It is very hard to find GOD in US churches today. HE Is disgusted with the way our churches have evolved.

    • jox

Oh no, more religious fanatics! Usually the people that speak about God and compassion, the people that protest against helping the poor with food and healthcare, the people that support militar spending, and the people against taxing the rich, are the very same people. There is no coherence.

  • James

If I was an expat in Africa I would leave right away with the rising food prices. Same with the latin american countries mentioned in the article. I was abducted for four hours in Kenya with my driver wasn’t inured but thought I might die. In fact they gave me back about 80% of my stuff the next day. One of the bandits even told me we’re not going to kill you just cooperate. The reason I’m sharing parts of this intimate story is that I was in a very wealthy area of Nairobi and this still happened to me my driver. The emerging markets are a bubble and things are going to get unstable here as well. To answer your question I don’t think we should leave America just be as prepared as possible.

    • jonno

Ok, lets see what country would suit Americas to re-locate to. English speaking, that is if you are not one of the 223 nationalities currently living in the USA. Small population, so you would be made welcome. Prosperous, so you can find work or start a business. Good clean environment, so you can enjoy life. Decent people, so you can start anew. Somewhere that doesn’t hate Americans. That’s a tough one as few countries can forgive you for your wars, crazy politicians, Kanye West and that Levine dude. Only one country meets all the above, with the exception of the war and Bush thing and that’s Australia. Without a doubt the best place to live in the world with some of the nicest people you can meet. We don’t want any more English and the cities take most of the Asians but there’s plenty of room for some of our brothers and sisters from across the big pond. Should you need any more info just ask.

  • Rodster

I was just watching a program on RT and it was about the Orwellian State that’s growing around the world. They first focused on London and just in that City alone there are over 25,000 cameras watching and recording your every move along with the Police who are there to harass you even further.

    • old man

One nation that has a limited amount of cameras is Germany they have not forgot the STASI. The rest will learn what STASI means in their lives.

      • Priszilla

Stasi is short for homeland security.

My maternal grandfather lived through the Great Depression. When I was a boy, whenever we visited my grandparents, my grandfather would sit me down and give me what I called the “gloom and doom talk.” Man, I dreaded it. He would tell me that another economic depression was coming and that it would be severe. (He didn’t live to see the financial crisis that began in 2008.) He admonished me to get a good education and to get a passport so that I could leave the country when things got really bad. I know he meant well, but I can’t leave the country. I don’t think I would last very long in a foreign country. I would miss my relatives here in the United States. So, right now I plan to stay. And I think it may be impossible to leave the U.S. once things get really bad.

    • Rodster

It’s going to be horrific anywhere you go on this planet when this whole global ponzi scheme unravels. That’s why i’m staying put, just so I can watch Al Sharpton begging for food on the streets of NY.

      • Tim

        LOL!

      • none

        GOOD NEWS Rodster:
Al Sharpton will not have to beg for food! Since he is considered a great liberal leader. He would of course be given special food privileges. Along with say, a capitalists abounded mansion to live in.

        • peace angel

NO he won’t. THERE are no survivors in this war on humans.

    • Mondobeyondo

My parents lived through the Depression as well. They never talked to me at length about it. Partly (I suspect) because I’d be bored by their discussions, and partly (I suspect) because we couldn’t possibly go through such a traumatic time ever again.

      Well… ummm….

    • Kim

Honestly, I don’t really think any country or region will be unaffected by what is coming (even what is already happening). Hunker down where u are and keep your chin up. Do the best u can.

      • K

Kim there will be a few places.Islands that are so remote, no one will bother with them. But at this point, I doubt that those that live there, will accept many new comers.

Switzerland, the Italian part. I am Italian, and 94% of American’s are not Italian so I have always felt like a minority in this country. My culture is not here. It would have been nice to see an Italian President; I mean, didn’t Christopher Columbus discover America. But you will never hear of such a suggestion on the news. What made America great was manufacturing jobs. As manufacturing jobs leave, America declines.

    • PK

Christopher was not the first to discover America.

      • Mondobeyondo

True. Leif Ericsson was the first to discover America.

        • walker

No, it was the first people’s who came over the ice about 5,000 years ago. They were first.

          • Eric Quintero

Sadly, you’re all wrong. When the Europeans came to the Americas in the 15th century, there were about THIRTY MILLION people living in this hemisphere.

The people crossed the Bering Strait nearly 50,000 years ago.

Sorry, Mighty White culture, you cant claim this discovery :P You’re about 45,000 years too late.

Also, I spoke with a Historical Analyst that worked for high levels of Intel in the Army. He informed me that Africans had made it to Mexico and South America long before the Europeans.

Sorry to break your mold of being the first to do everything.

Of the three Races (Angloids, Mongloids and Negroids) The Angloids were in fact the last to discover the “new” world.

Funny how our history books paint the opposite picture, while conveniently forgetting Europeans discovered someone else’s backyard.

          • davidmpark

And the history books also forgot to mention that Fremont Indians and Olmecs were here before the 500 Nations the Europeans met.

And they also forget to mention the very ancient maps before Ericsson’s time that had the America’s already discovered.

It’s not who was first, really. It’s who kept the surviving records of it, and can back up their claim.

          • Priszilla

cant be. according to the bible the world is onlyv5000 years old and was populated by incest gof adams and eves chiodren.

          • davidmpark

We have no real idea how old the world really is. We don’t have that ability.

My Army Colonel friend brought a fresh lava rock from Hawaii back to Utah. The U of U Geology Department tested the age of the rock for him and declared it was billions of years old. he said it came out of the volcano 2 weeks ago. The geologists had no comment.

This world is full of cool mysteries!

            Please cite that verse.

          • Gay Veteran

“Young Earth creationism (YEC) is the religious belief[1] that the Universe, Earth and all life on Earth were created by direct acts of the Abrahamic God during a relatively short period, between 5,700 and 10,000 years ago….”

          • Malcolm Reynolds

            So, no verse?

          • Priszilla

Read the bible if you are so keen on it. Take a calculator.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

So you don’t have that verse?

In other words, when you said, “according to the bible” it was a lie?

          • Priszilla

I read the bible probably 30 years ago from front to end.

All those people who lived hundreds of years and had hundreds of children.

And Abraham, willing to kill his son, just to prove his obedience to some voice in his head?

I also read a book about grammar and a dictionary, but couldn’t say on which page the word “thesaurus” is explained, or the term “noun”.

Would you say therefore that nouns do not exist?

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Thanks for the non-sequitor. You should keep your lies to yourself.

    Simple answer:
They’re unpatriotic. They’re TRAITORS! Abandoning our country in its greatest time of need. How evil of them!

    More complex answer:
They see what is happening around them, and realize there is no future if they stay here in the USA. True, real freedom is being curtailed whenever possible,

It’s a question of patriotism versus your rights, liberties and life… Yes, I love this country. Born and raised here in the good old USA. I wave the flag, but I don’t light the fireworks on the Fourth of July, because in Metro Phoenix it’s illegal to light fireworks in city limits, other than sparklers and noise poppers. The police can arrest you if they find you’ve set off a Roman candle or something.

Land of the free? Free as long as you do what the authorities tell you to do.

    And there you go.

    • seth

The satanic-jesuit owned government may try to take that away from you. How ironic that our current Pope along with the Rothschilds, the Vatican banksters, own all the gold, giving us useless paper. They have used the US to invade each country that did not have a centralized bank. We invaded Afghanistan and Iraq apiece, centralizing their banks. Now only three countries are left without a Rothschilds fiat-paper based bank:

      Iran
      North Korea
      Cuba

Guess who we are going to directly or indirectly wage war against next?

The satanic Talmudic jews executed Jesus then infiltrated Roman Catholicism, by the time of Constantine. This altered form of Christianity was what led to subsequent wars, allegedly in Christ’s name, but for the Satanic agenda. By the early middle ages, a military order called the Jesuits had been established to progress the Satanic agenda.

The Jesuits were often kicked out of many countries, but this Synagogue of Satan persevered and inflitrated the British government and royal family, including having established themselves with the Rothschilds, who became Jesuits. As such, all wars from the late 1700 onwards have been Jesuit wars as they progress their one-world-government agenda. They finally managed to get a central bank into America via the FED in 1913 – 53% owned by Rothschilds UK.

In recent years, they have accelerated their agenda, with a virtual martial law progressing in many Western nations, alongside a manufactured economic collapse and a subverted society. They tout ‘depopulation’ as a primary goal, backed up by lies through manipulated charts showing a lack of resources – which is why they need to kill us off. The opposite is the case. They merely desire to decrease the number of ‘useless eaters’ to better control us.

The Pope is a Jesuit and is the last Pope, according to the Prophecy of Malachy, which has successfully predicted ALL popes. In addition, the Bible mentions the city of “seven hills” which refers to Rome. Many presume this to refer to Rome of the past, so this part of scripture has already been fulfilled. RIght? NO – the current establishment is based out of the Vatican. The Vatican owns all the gold (banked by Rothschilds) and when they choose, they will collpase the economy, and since they own almost all the gold, we will be made serfs again – IN THIS RE-IMAGINED ROMAN EMPIRE.

      Think of most/all Western countries:
      Mass immigration
Sudden rise in immorality last few decades
      Police state rapidly developing
      etc..

You do not see the above happening for the most part in non-western countries. This is not by accident – IT IS AN AGENDA. A Satanic Agenda that goes by the name of ‘United Nations Agenda 21′, which in short, refers to global Communism/communitarianism.

All that is left is for a world war/other global crisis, like a pandemic, to occur, so that the ‘elite’ (Satanists) may install their martial law, one-world-currency, one-world-government and one-world-religion. All ruled FROM ROME. We will once again live in the Roman Empire – all roads lead to here once you investigate.

This is not a conspiracy theory. It is foretold of in the Bible. It is spoken of in the Muslim Religion, where the antichrist rises. And we can see it daily if we open our eyes – how our politicians and so-called ‘elected’ leaders are leading us down the road to poverty (by design, not incompetence) and enslavement. The Founding Fathers knew of this plan and had warned against letting bankers deprive future generations of their freedom.

      • Priszilla

The North Korean elite is banking in Macau.

        • Kim

Speaking or North Korea, I know someone that went there. He is a journalist from my area- works at OPB (Oregon Public Broadcasting). He told me the North Korean citizen cultivate gardens with their bare hands. The dig rows with their bare hands. They aren’t allowed to own garden tools.

I agree, knowing how to cultivate fruits from seed (as opposed to “starter plants” is going to be a very important and sought after skill in the coming years.

Your so wrong in so many ways. Clearly your hate of catholicism blinds your vision. The Catholic Church is hated by the globalists, jews and especially communists. Its attacked in every way even the UN has recently attacked the Church. Its in the bible that the catholic church is the real church and will last forever. And no its no perfect because its made of sinners but its still the real and good Church of our Lord!
“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” Do you think God just gave peter leadership and it ended their. That would not make sense at all.

        • peace angel

ALL religious leaders claim the same thing. DOES not make it so. THE bible should not be quoted as gospel. IT is not.

      • Tom

And where is your proof that the vatican has all this ridiculous amount of gold. Or that the Jesuits are so powerful and evil? And guess what that seven hills refers to jersualem. If you read the bible you will see it refers to the jewish people and the physical jersualem as the whore of babylon not the vatican. The Book of revelation says that the whore of babylon killed the apostles, saints and prophets! And who fits this profile? the Jews do they killed the apostles, saints and prophets and continuer their hate today. I mean the Catholic Church did not even exist yet in order to kill the prophets and the how could the church kill its own apostles?

        • peace angel

You need to study the history of the Vatican and the Catholic Church.

Their original existence and PLAN was to take over the world. THAT has not changed and they are very much a part of AGENDA 21 and the creation of the NWO and have been for the entire 130 years it has been in production. LOOK it up.

      • Tom

“The seven heads represent seven hills on which the woman sits.” First of all, no Pope has ever lived or had his “seat” (cathedra or cathedral) on any of the seven hills of Rome. These hills are small hillocks (Capitoline, Palatine, Esquiline, Aventine and three lesser “bumps” in central Rome) where the religion and government of pagan Rome was situated. The Catholic Church’s headquarters at the Lateran (the cathedral) and at the Vatican (where the Pope lives) does not coincide with them. At the time that John wrote Revelation the Christians of Rome lived mostly in Trastevere (trans Tiber), a district “across the Tiber” from the City and adjacent to the Vatican hill where St. Peter was crucified and buried. The Vatican is on top of that burial site and is today its own city-state distinct from Rome and Italy.

        • peace angel

THIS isn’t about 7 hills any place. Being a right fighter will not win your freedom when they come to take you away.

      • Tom

Its unfortunate that so many American Christians are so hateful towards the Catholic Church which comprises most Christians in the world. Way to further divide all Christians. Was the reformation not enough for you? And why are you quoting Islam or Malachy. Islam is a satanic, dangerous lie which plagiarized from Christianity and changed to fit Muhammads pleasure for power and money. so why quote it? and Malachy is proven to be fake , it was written hundreds of years after his death.

        • Eddy

Um Tom, please direct us to the site from whence you obtained the information that Catholics comprise most Christians in the World. You say Malachy is proven to be a fake, written hundreds of years after his death ,wasn’t the bible written after Jesus’s death as well ? So that then makes it a fake as well, under your thinking ?

    • don’tcallmeafool

I’ve been lurking here for some time. Just wanted to say this seems like the one thing we can do – those of us who have land – a backyard I mean, we can be planting food. Maybe find a cheap secondhand freezer and learn canning once again. This is something we CAN do to be less dependent on society,

      • westernwoman.wordpress.com

You are so right! I sprout seeds year round in a jar, have done so even when I lived in small apartments. I sprout for my rabbits too! And it is almost time to get those seedlings started. Make sure you keep a fertile soil, and don’t poison your precious land (or windowsill garden) with chemicals that will kill your chance of continuing to grow in the years to come. As for storing food in the freezer–make sure you have a backup source of energy.

        • peace angel

THERE have been laws passed to take away any food or water you grow AND it is against the law to stockpile more than 7 days of anything including ammo, food and water.

As Martha and the Vandellas once sang,
“Nowhere to run to, baby… nowhere to hide”….

There will be no place on earth that will not be affected once the bottom drops out. However, some places will be better off than others.

We will pay, and pay dearly, for our mockery of God. (Galatians 6:7, Hebrews 10:31) Without going into great detail, let’s just say – God is extremely ticked off at us. The time will come, when He will put a stop to it.

    Look. Out. Below.

At the end of the day, always remember that God has a plan. One of my favorite books from the old testament is Job. His faith was unrelenting despite much adversity in his life. Keep the faith brother.

It’s one of my favorite books of the Old Testament too. It teaches a lot about suffering, friends’ responses, and God’s response.

        “God has a plan”

Isn’t that great? God has a plan. And it doesn’t necessarily include you. If it involves mutual nuclear destruction between the U.S. and China (as I believe will happen), why don’t you thwart dear old God’s plan and move to another country – which is what I fervently recommend.
In the meantime, forget about ancient texts and superstitions and get on with trying to organize yourself to sidestep the coming depression. It is going to be very searing. (Bet God’s angry with me for spilling the beans in advance). :( :(

    • Azrael

No, it’s not – since it’s supposed to be all knowing it means that it has known about all this even before the act of creation. Since it has created the world knowing it will end up this way you must logically conclude that it indeed wanted for the world to end this way, otherwise it would have altered its creation to the desired outcome.

  • Mondobeyondo

*sigh* And down the rabbit hole we go… ughhh…
I’ve been trying to avoid this firestorm for the longest time. But anyway….
    _____________

    Basically speaking:
God says: “Do what I say, for I am the Lord thy God”
Satan says: “Do whatever you want, you are your own gods:
That’s it in a nutshell. That’s the “Cliff Notes” version.
Whether you believe it , or do not believe it, does not change the existence (or non existence) of it.

Satan’s MO – modus operandi – has been to convince you that you are gods. (Genesis 3:1-7). Satan, disguised as a serpent, convinced Eve to eat of the fruit. The devil didn’t say, “Eat! Or you will die!” He inticed Eve. Convinced her the fruit was good. Convinced her the fruit would make her like a god. Satan uses the EXACT SAME trick today!!

Ever heard of the phrase “rock god?”

    • GSOB

      Ephesians 6:11-18

      Living Bible (TLB)

11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan.

12 For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world.

13 So use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up.

14 But to do this, you will need the strong belt of truth and the breastplate of God’s approval.

15 Wear shoes that are able to speed you on as you preach the Good News of peace with God.

16 In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan.

17 And you will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the Word of God.

18 Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes. Plead with him, reminding him of your needs, and keep praying earnestly for all Christians everywhere.

      • jonno

Prayer is the lazy mans excuse for work. Stop praying, that is begging and do something practical to help your situation.

        • Dr. G

Pray like everything depends on God. Work like everything depends on you. God never said he would work for you. He said he would grant the increase, protect you from losses, and support your efforts to make them more successful than if you were on your own. Give Him a try. He keeps his promises.

          • Azrael

Actually, since god is supposedly all knowing, all of this has been decided and arranged even before the creation – so praying is useless since god won’t and can’t change its mind.

    • dadelaw

Ever read Mein Kampf (by Adolf Hitler)? Just because something’s written down doesn’t mean it’s the eternal truth.

“Satan’s MO – modus operandi – has been to convince you that you are

    • dadelaw

Will you just answer me this one question: HOW – DO – YOU – KNOW – WHERE – “THE – LORD” – WANTS – YOU”? Please don’t quote bits of ancient English from some bible. I want a coherent answer.

      • Jim Davis

You won’t get one, of course. It is easier just to say “I am where the Lord wants me”, and use that as an excuse for laziness, a lack of critical thinking, and non-action in the face of a disaster.

        • Priszilla

God gave you a brain and two hands. Non-action is a sacrilege.

      • K

Simple, the place I live, was quite a bit down the list of my choices. All the choices above it were eliminated from consideration. 7 places at the top of my list sold in a two day period, while I was enroute to look at them. I am sure you will consider that a coincidence, I do not.

        • dadelaw

I don’t consider that a coincidence at all. But I see nothing in your ‘explanation’ to indicate that an unseen hand was at work.

          • K

And I see nothing that would allow me to dismiss, 7 houses selling in 2 days, as random chance. Especially when all these places had been on the market, for over a year. So I guess we will agree to disagree.

          • dadelaw

Now you’ve got me really confused: I have no idea what it is that we are supposed to “agree to disagree” with. Guess it’s got something to do with “God”… but who knows?

          • Azrael

And you didn’t thought it might have been the fact that other persons might have had the same ideas as you but acted faster on them?
I think that says a lot about you – you’re not a survivor, you just go with the flow and you will get drowned eventually.

          • Annette Smith

dadelaw, why do Christian people bother you? Do other faiths bother you, as well, or only Christians?

          • dadelaw

Christians absolutely don’t bother me. What bothers me is when people go bananas and off-topic in a post which is supposed to be about people renouncing their citizenship. How on EARTH does religion manage to worm its way into THAT topic? It wouldn’t matter to me whether they were talking about religion or cooking or Jay Leno’s last day on the Tonight Show. It’s all utterly irrelevant. But when they insist on pushing their ridiculous agenda onto the rest of us, I feel some sort of riposte is called for. Hope that answers your question… ;)

          • Annette Smith

I think I have seen a strong reaction on your part towards Christians. You do sound like an intelligent person. I think you understand the person, you just don’t like when they bring their beliefs into the argument. I understand. I have a sister that is a JW, and she goes into a “trance” so to speak, and she’ll preach at you. It has nothing to do with what is going on, but it is something her religion demands that she do. She doesn’t respect our beliefs, which are Christian and at odds with hers. I do understand when people post about their beliefs and hope that there is a rapture of the church, soon. I believe that there could be such a thing, and it would be awesome, but that is another story. I guess some people seem to go off topic. I am sure that I will at times, too.

          • Rebecca

Possibly us Christians bring religion into topics because it’s a part of our way of life. You don’t have to get offended because someone stated that they believe they are where God wants them to be. Why does this bother you so much? It’s funny because I used to be an atheist just like you, and got all angry and bent out of shape every time someone mentioned God… Do you know where that anger comes from? It comes from fear. The fear that what if, just what if, those crazy Christians are right? The only way to deal with the fear and get rid of the anger is to explore what they believe. Don’t just read one-sided books that mock Christianity, and don’t just get your ideas from other atheists. Spend some time with Christians to learn why they are the way that they are, read some books that are FOR Christianity. At least you will understand better, even if you don’t agree. It will erase your anger and fear.

          • chilller

You remind me of the guy who jumps into a river and swims up stream his entire life, only to come out of the river and realize he’s gone no where. There is ample evidence of an afterlife which cannot be seen, yet is there. The air you breath can’t be seen, yet is there. Basing ones life only upon the sense of sight is about as blind one can get.

          • dadelaw

YOU ARE MAKING ALL THIS UP. The only reason I lend my name to these ravings is because I want you to know that I – and a lot of other people who read these threads HOPING for info about (in this case) citizenship renunciation – are absolutely clear that you are just spinning ideas and absurd concepts out of thin air – just like Bernanke and his QE dollars.

“Basing ones life only upon the sense of sight is about as blind one can get.”

Who are YOU to decide for us what we should be basing our lives upon? What kind of an arrogant SOB must you be to “know” for the rest of us what we “should” be thinking? You just don’t get it, do you?

No one is trying to decide for you. I also do not see you posting anything on topic. Just anti-religious rants. The owner of this blog, is a Christian. Perhaps you should let him decide, what is acceptable. Freedom of speech still exists, get used to it.

          • dadelaw

How about “freeDUMB of speech”? Who said anything about what was acceptable or not? I didn’t say it was unacceptable. Look further down the comment section and you will see I did post something on the blog topic. But your error wouldn’t blunt the arrogance of your comment above one iota, would it?

          • K

            OK troll

          • Azrael

Sorry, there is absolutely not a single drop of even the faintest evidence that something even remotely similar to that exists.
Unless of course you consider the buybull or your active imagination as evidence.
BTW basing your life on anything other than your sight and your mind is a recepy for certain disaster and a clear sign of schizophrenia.

      • Priszilla

God gave you a brain and legs.

So, wherever you are, that’s where god wants you to be.

        • dadelaw

Perfect. Just stop and think about that. He gave some people brains and legs to go and kill people in Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan. I ask you yet again: Is this “god” of yours so benign and all-wonderful as you make him out to be? Or is he a monster? Or does he just not exist at all and is religion nothing more than a political ploy to keep the poor down and make them believe that “their salvation is in christ” (and all the rest of the baloney)? Think about this, Priszcszilla, and for God’s sake don’t come back at me with a whole load of drivel with exhortations such as, “Hearken thou unto thyself, yeah, verily I say unto thee…” and suchlike. PLEASE!

          • Priszilla

He gave them brains and legs to stay away from Vietnam.

Just as he gave me brain enough to stay away from America. :-)

          • dadelaw

“He gave them brains and legs to stay away from Vietnam.”

Again – and again – I ask: How do you KNOW that? You sound just like my parents. Whenever I would question something to which they didn’t have an answer, they’d just make something up and HOPE I’d swallow. (Of course I didn’t). Needless to say, they were “Christians” too, so I suppose it was second nature to say any old crap and expect to be believed… just like you. (God help any child of yours).

          • Priszilla

            “How do you KNOW that?”

Well, would they have been sent to Vietnam if they’d had no legs?

          • dadelaw

You’ve answered the wrong question. You said they were given brains and legs to stay away from Vietnam. I asked you how you knew that and instead of justifying how you knew that “God” had given them brains and legs to stay away, for some reason you made a statement about people with no legs being sent to Vietnam which has nothing to do with the point at issue. The point is that they were indeed given brains and legs… and, equipped with said brains, they STILL decided to go to Vietnam. Did they HAVE to go to Vietnam? No. I was living in Sweden at the time and I met scores of Americans there who had evaded the draft. So they COULD have avoided going to Vietnam but, with their God-given brains (and legs) they decided to go anyway. Thanks, God, for a job well done.

          • Priszilla

You can use your brain to play bingo or to cook delicious food.

  • Not me!

Every thing will be OK! The corporations and the rich will be just fine and they will trickle down on us!

  • davidmpark

I don’t think there’s anything I can say that I haven’t already said before to help out anyone.

We have all the materials that’s needed. All that is lacking is our resolve, a desire to better ourselves, and for most folks the instructions to teach them the basics.

We are capable of fixing this anytime we want. It relies on the common individual to find the best within you – not trusting a nanny in Congress. It takes your own skill and ability to create what is needed – not salivating for a corporation to sell you your life. It takes a relationship with your Father in Heaven to guide and humanize you – not community organizers seeking for power or preachers who sell you a religion yet deny God’s power.

You are capable. You can fix this.

    • Mondobeyondo

I hope so. I truly hope so.

But a great many of us have never been up against anything like this before. Can’t say how they will do. For all our sakes – I hope the Gen Yers and Millenials can pull through this.

“Aw Grandma, stop telling those Great Depression stories…”

Shut up. Grandma’s trying to teach you something.

      • davidmpark

Well, there are some indications that mankind has. Tower of Babel; one world government under Nimrod (there’s a reason why his name is used as an insult), all of these massive pyramids and megaliths built around the world at the same time in the same way. And then the government of Babel failing because of the confounding of languages and the formation of multiple races.

That was a global collapse worse than this one: at least we can talk to each other when it happens.

    • dadelaw

Your “father-in-heaven” got you into this mess in the first place. Don’t EVER forget that…

      • Mondobeyondo

        Oh brother.
No, God is not at fault for all the wrong in the world.
To really understand why – well, I know why. But you’d better bring your scuba gear, because this is really deep.

        • dadelaw

You ‘know’ why, huh? Oh wow. Please PLEASE forgive me for overlooking that one salient point. You know why. Of COURSE. Silly me. I should have known. Mondobeyondo: the genius, all-knowing, all-wise, wonderful one. Congratulations…

          • davidmpark

Derision and mockery is not intelligence. It’s the sign of a person with issues.

      • davidmpark

Father in Heaven created this world: provided us with enough resources and extra amounts with most of it renewable by the earth itself. He provided a Redeemer so we can gain repentance. He has answered the prayers of the faithful; and allowed man their agency – their ability to choose.

Heavenly Father did not put me or my family in this “mess” – mankind did that with their foolish choices. Don’t EVER forget that… Many chose iniquity when they knew better. Enough of mankind choose to harm each other, to maim each other, and to starve and kill each other. And for what? To get stuff and be feared; pretending the fear is love.

This is mankind’s mess; and mankind is expected to sort things out and clean it up.

        • dadelaw

Again and as always, how do you KNOW “Heavenly Father” didn’t put you in this mess???

How can you POSSIBLY believe that everything “good” comes from “Him” and everything “bad” comes from us? How terribly convenient! You sound like an over-indulgent father whose spoilt brat of a son can do no wrong.

You don’t know any of the nonsense you spout. It’s all pipe dreams and fairy tales… as you know perfectly well.

          • davidmpark

“You sound like an over-indulgent father whose spoilt brat of a son can do no wrong.” (That is not even close to how my response came out. Where the daddy comment came from is quite the oddity.)

“You don’t know any of the nonsense you spout.” (Faith is a result of personal research, and testing the principles of the gospel. Second of all, you have no ability to determine what my knowledge consists of. Usually those kinds of comments point to personal issues in a wide range of medical to behavioral disorders which I can’t speculate on since I’m not a trained therapist or psychologist.)

It’s all pipe dreams and fairy tales… as you know perfectly well. (Assuming you can read my mind again? The scriptures are a combination of revelation, historical record with plenty of social/economic/political aspects; just the history aspect of those records proven by archeological finds is enough.)”

Get help. Seriously – you’ve got issues. And taking it out on people of faith is not going to win you any friends or influence people positively.

          • dadelaw

Get help?? !!! Is that what lunatics say to their counsellors in asylums while in treatment? “People of faith”. Hahahahaha…. How sad! How tragic! All ya goin’ for ya is hope and faith. It really is too sad. ‘Cause there ain’t nothin’ more behind. Oh well. Good luck to you.

          • davidmpark

So, are you now claiming to be my counselor in an asylum?

            Get some help and medication.

      • Priszilla

Everybody can believe what she wants.

In the mean time make the place better. Create, dont destroy, avoid, then you wont have to fix.

Pick up the rubbish and put it into bins, switch off the heater and get insulated. Ask the elected what he has done to deserve to be paid by your tax.

      • peace angel

DUMBEST comment so far on this thread out of many you have made.

        • dadelaw

Shows how up in cloud-cuckoo land you are. Who decided for you that the great lord and god almighty was NOT responsible for our current economic predicament? You’re EXACTLY the kind of odious father whose spoiled little Johnnie can do no wrong, aren’t you?

    • Azrael

Sorry, the situation is way past the point of no return. Add to that the undeniable fact that relying on the help of a nonexistent character from a crappy book is the most sure way to fail in your efforts.

      • davidmpark

I love how your lot use Alinsky tactics to try and shut people up. Using phrases like “undeniable fact”, “most sure way to fail in your efforts” to try and control others. Especially when such phrases are pure fallacy.

        It’s so cute! :)

And, no, the situation is not past the point of no return. All that is needed is for the individual to improve him or herself using their own ability to improve their life using the materials of earth and seeking to improve their best within them. When enough people in an area decide to do this, then the area improves. When a city as a majority does this, then the city improves.

It’s something that can’t be enforced by Leftist or Rightist policy, or at the point of a gun. It’s a personal decision. The people will decide whether they want it to stop or not.

        • Azrael

When enough people in an area decide to do this – and here lie the error in your thought path, because as anyone can witness this is clearly never going to happen again

          • davidmpark

            That’s the best you’ve got?

Of course some won’t. That’s what “choice” is all about. That is not THE error in the thought path. It’s merely a part of it.

I think the majority would when they see there is proof that a few a thriving despite everything going on. Most folks want to thrive for their own betterment. If there’s a way to do this, many would want to give it go.

“anyone can witness this is clearly never going to happen again”; Alinsky fallacy language. You ain’t gonna shut me up. Especially when you hide behind the avatar of a Batman villain. :)

    • dadelaw

” It takes a relationship with your Father in Heaven to guide and
humanize you – not community organizers seeking for power or preachers
who sell you a religion yet deny God’s power.”

You were doing really well until you relapsed into incoherence at which point you ceased to help anyone.

      • davidmpark

Ah! So, I hit nerve with this one, huh?

Now I know what I’m dealing with.

  • Mondobeyondo

We’re all living through a depression.
Admit it or not, that’s what it is.
It is hard. It is painful.
For a great many of you, if you have gone through it, it will change your life, forever.
It’s not as hard a depression as the Great Depression of the 1930′s, but nevertheless… it’s bad enough. It’s awful.

    • RICHARD

It is a depression for sure and it is just about ready to roll.

      • Kim

I’m believe that we are already in the midst of a very deceptive and very serious economic depression that will soon enter realms of which we have no reference point. This is not like the 1930s where the economy just went over a cliff one day and everyone knew it. There are no clear, distinctive lines of good to poor economic demarcation. We are a lab experiment. We are frogs in that proverbial pot of water, oblivious to how bad this situation really is and how much worse it’s going to get with the progression of time. We are f*****.

    • Jer9:23

It’s a depression if you lost your job. It’s a recession otherwise.

    • jacklohman

FYI 221% is 2999 people. My guess is that most moved to eliminate paying taxes. They have raped the country and they don’t want to give any back. Good people. Then some became legitimately fed up with the morals of our politicians (rotten!). To all of those going into politics, ask one question: “How rotten and corrupt can I be without getting thrown in jail?” Now you have your limits

      • James

How do you know they ‘raped the country’?

        • jacklohman

          Duh…

          • James

While ‘duh’ might seem like an intelligent answer to you, I repeat, how do you know they ‘raped the country’? Give me specific facts.

          • jacklohman

Ask Jamie Dimon how he justifies his $20 million salary.

      • CameronD

“They don’t want to give any back…”
What’s this BS? If I make a million dollars running my business, providing jobs for Americans and making something people want, how is it any of your business? And why is it the losers in this country always start whining that the hard workers should ‘give back.’ I worked my tail off earning what I have. You want some, get off your butt and go earn it.

    • nestazhe265

      • Mike Smithy

Nobody gives a crap about your uncle’s car. Stupid bots.

        • Kent Harris

Agree!!!!! To tell a lie is rather common nowadays.

          • GSOB

            That’s not true.

          • peace angel

Yes it is. Recently some morning show went to a dozen major cities where people admitted on TV in front of cameras and reporters that on average they tell 8-10 lies weekly. IT IS TRUE.

    • Selaretus

It is much worse than ‘the great depression.’ During that time, the US infrastructure was intact; plenty of cheap energy, strong manufacturing base. Today none of that is true no matter what the frackers or drillers tell you. There may be gas and energy, but it is NOT cheap and that’s what this form of perpetual growth capitalism requires. And we all know there is no more manufacturing going on. Our ‘new economy’ is printing money and protecting the wealth of the rich bankers at any cost.
OboobCare is the final nail in our coffin unless you are rich. We may as well call the Affordable Care Act what it really is; the ‘Confiscate Your Property Act’ if you can’t afford to pay.

      • Rodster

Right on, agree with all of the above. We are in far worse shape today as a nation than we were back then and we did not have the enormous debt levels back then.

During the Great Depression you had friends, Church, God, family and neighbors and a sense of community that pulled together.

Today it’s just the opposite as their is NO God. Secularism and progressivism has made families irrelevant, turned people away form decency and God. It’s all about what your favorite Blue or Red Team central planner can do for you. This has been done on purpose so as to rely on the State for sustenance because without them THEY ARE OUT OF A JOB.

So we are in far worse shape and more vulnerable than those like my Mom who went thru the Great Depression.

        • Hammerstrike

          There is a God, liberalism.

It even has its Saints, the trannies, the homosexuals, the dykes, the blacks and other unprivilegied/oppressed blacks and so on.

        • Mondobeyondo

Agree on some of your points; disagree on others.

The reason why we made it through the Great Depression of the 1930′s was precisely because we had tight-knit communities, faith in God, etc. Many communities are lacking in this today.

But I don’t think things in 2014 are as bad as they were in 1933. NOT YET. They’re rapidly getting there, though.

      • Kim

Forget about growth. Just keeping up with the day to day operations of the military requires massive amounts of cheap oil. Any growth would require that much more cheap oil, which no longer exists.

Any manufacturing that is occurring involves chemical plants that utilize the very temporary glut of natural gas and furthermore, fully takes advantage of mechanical automation so how does that benefit the unemployed laborer?

I won’t renounce my citizenship. I really have no dog in the pony show, so to speak, but I stopped voting years ago. I don’t want blood on my hands by the corrupted decisions of some politician I don’t even know or support in any form.

        • Eddy

Please explain to me, the point of maintaining your citizenship, but avoiding the citizenship duty of voting. No one says you need to vote for the TWO parties, there are alternatives, but by not voting you are in effect voting for the status quoe

          • Patrick White

If the system is rigged and you vote, then you contribute to the legitimacy of that system when its not legit. You actually think those electronic voting machines are fair? lol

          • Eddy

Well Patrick, the first thing, there are more then two parties, which are ONE anyway, despite the bluster. So you can always vote for a third or even fourth party, imagine if two hundred thousand Americans did the same ?
Ref the electronic voting machines. I don’t recall mentioning those at all, BUT, you do have a valid point, for the life of me, I really need some serious explaining as to why American citizens were so dumb as to allow them to even be used . Where I live, they would never be allowed, and all our voting is still with paper, BUT, recently that too was diddled and the authorities allegedly investigating and if the court approves there will be a re-vote.
Funny, isn’t it, how the last word on issues such as this is always by an UNELECTED, politicly appointed officer of the court who does not have to answer to the electorate, but rather to his appointers. Dontcha just love that democracy ?

          • peace angel

IF you want your questions answered read my other comment to Kim.

          • peace angel

They are NOT by design. WE don’t elect our POTUS or most of Congress. THE Bilderberg group selects them and rigs the election to be their selection every year for a hundred years since they invaded the US as two NAZIS.

          • Kim

The point is, I was born here and I am not moving away. It’s a matter of logistics for me. But I am politically and party (whether first, second, third or twentieth) neutral. I’ll repeat: I do not want to be a party to any decisions by Congress, whether they benefit me or not. I don’t want blood of this system on my hands when I have to answer to God,

      • Drud

Cheap energy is the cornerstone of our way of life and of our government’s ability to keep pretending everything is OK. Also, be aware that “cheap” energy means cheap in terms of dollars (an arbitrary measurement in all reality) and in terms of Energy Returned over Energy Invested (EROEI) which is grounded in the Laws of Thermodynamics and can never be fudged.

        • Kim

          You are perfectly correct.

    • piccadillybabe

You muddle through every day the best you can in a numb stupor. Used to love the Olympic games and this year, I have no attention span for it. It seems irrelevant to me. Used to be such an up person, nothing would get me down and now I feel like the walking dead, invisible. Both my cats died recently, had them for close to 16 years. There is no where to go or hide anymore because this is global phenomenon. It’s important to be grateful and give thanks for what one does have left. A daily prayer is important and to bless everyone on this planet and wish them well. Too many are angry, frustrated and confused. Those poor homeless that are now allowed a blanket or covering, how cruel can it get?

      • LeaveIhopNow

Yes Times are tough. I am sorry to hear about your feeling so bad. I am also extremely sorry about your cats. Ive had 2 cats die recently too and its heartbreaking. You have my sympathy. What were their names? Mine were Tiny Tim and Mr. Frumpkin.

        • piccadillybabe

Thanks for your kind words and sorry to hear of your loss also.

      • peace angel

IF you read the blogs of expatriates, you will realize IF you do your homework that there are many nations which have not yet built concentration camps and who have NOT become police states and where the expats are living high on the hog for less than a third of what they lived on here and many are very young. THE seniors report having superior health care to ours such as in Ecuador where anyone can pay $120 per month and pay nothing else and get home visits from doctors and full catastrophic coverage for everything for one flat fee. THE doctors all speak English and most were educated here in the US.

Last year Obama made homelessness against the law nationwide and has been bussing them to the FEMA concentration camps and the mainstream news is reporting it. He made it against the law to feed the homeless and has the biggest target on our homeless vets. IN the NDAA act of 2011 he labeled ALL our war vets going back to VietNam as “domestic terrorists” and ” enemies of the state” and as “psychotic” all of them. THEY all have a target on their chests and if you google police brutality against our vets you can read about it daily as I do.

THEY will never see the light of day again once they are in these camps as they are drugged immediately on entry and the gates only swing ONE way.

And eventually this machine will EAT every US citizen. THEY did not build 800 of them for any other reason than to herd everyone into them and the sooner the better for them and they have passed all the laws to do it.

        • piccadillybabe

Where are all these FEMA camps? I hear from a podcast I listen to that Colombia is becoming a real mecca for expats now. If you live in a small town there (under 25K population) you can live off your SS very well. The larger cities are 1st world expensive and congested. The weather there is spring-like all year, etc. Also, there is no big brother. Never thought I would leave the US but you can never say never especially in light of what is going down here.

          • peace angel

The other nations I mentioned have not begun to legislate the NWO aside from Canada and I believe it will take two to three or more decades to take over any third world nations. Ecuador uses the US dollar and I was concerned about that because they will soon collapse the economy here and destroy the US dollar, BUT the president Correa hates the US and all the destruction our oil companies have caused and not cleaned up there and he listens to not only the natives but to the US expats as well. He is corrupt as all nations leaders are but far less so than here. I have lived in Mexico and always planned to retire there but it is a war zone due to our failed war on drugs and it is also part of the NAU and I want no part of that. Belize is part of the South American and Australian and New Zealand unions. Way better neighbors. I have really come to no longer like most Americans. Just not happy or friendly or helpful or generous and no one even knows their neighbors anymore. I really can’t wait to leave and I once really loved this country, but it is no longer that country.

    • Tommy

We are worse off now than during the Great Depression. For all the reasons mentioned by other peoples posts and FOOD STAMPS. Think of what food lines would look like today if people who received food stamps were standing in line waiting for their next meal…

      • SEKPrepper

Tommy, I have been saying this for the last 6 months. We are in a depression. The difference between now and the 30′s is the soup lines are in the form of EBT cards!

The use of credit cards has increased in my business over the last couple of years. In my opinion, that is just a way of delaying the inevitable!

    • joe_bob_gonzales

I do not disagree except in one thing. I think it will get much worse. we have not yet seen the face of our true enemy.

  • John3:16

Diversity is a codeword for White genocide.

We just need more colonizing conquering third world invaders to solve this problem.

    • Mondobeyondo

Diversity a codeword for white genocide?
      How so? Please do tell!

      • John3:16

What is diversity but the flooding of White countries with non-whites? Add forced integration and assimilation and over a few generations you have no more White people. Just look around and see the demographic changes going on around you. You might deny this, but it clearly visible.

        • Duel Citizen

Third World Immigration to America is destroying its White European Heritage. America will turn into a Third World Nation in both its finances and its people. Change the Culture, Change the Country.

          • xander cross

I keep hearing you say “White Heritage” but all you white men do is have babies with Asian women. Now, you have a class of “eurasian” women out there in Europe.

        • Priszilla

          i clony.

where did the white americans come from if not from europe?

          • John3:16

Whites started off somewhere in central Asia and migrated throughout the world. Whites probably migrated to the American continent from both the east and west. First colonists coming here 25-35,000 years ago. Likely they were the first native Americans preceding Asians/mongols by 10 thousand years or so.
We aren’t talking about immigration, we are talking about colonizing conquering non-white invaders supported by the corrupt elites trying to defend their power structure at our eternal expense.

          • Priszilla

You mean like the Spanish, French, English, Irish, Italian and German coming over just a few hundred years ago and then in the 19th century shooting all buffalo just for the fun of it.

          • John3:16

Whites here 24-35 thousand years ago? Sounds like you are blaming all Whites for the slaughtering of the buffalo. Do you protest the annual killing of so many cattle today?
I think the slaughter of the buffalo had a lot to do with creating of the US Empire on the bones of the US Republic. That has its parallel with the flooding of White countries with non-whites. Its an act of the plantation masters to re-formulate its herd of serfs upon their land.
Your bitterness towards Whites is helpful to that purpose of breeding out Whites to be replaced by a more blended, deracinated, rootless, and cultureless people who won’t bother elite power for thousands of years.

          • Priszilla

Why do you complain that the other peoples do what the Whites did to them in the last 500 years?

They just follow in the white footsteps in the hope to get rich.

          • John3:16

You are justifying White genocide. What kind of a person are you? White genocide can’t be justified. Tell me about the mongols, turks, muslims and moors who over a thousand years attempted to conquer, kill 10s of millions, take slaves and flood europe with their own races. The turks were still taking slaves and White women for prostitution from Europe into the late 1800s. You are despicable.

        • xander cross

Also, if you’re worried about “white heritage” so much then should’nt you stop having babies with black women all the way from slavery? I mean, that is all white men did during slavery in american and the breeding fields in Australia decades ago. I never understand how racist white men always say they support “white heritage” but love having babies with black women, Asian women, hispanic women etc.

          • John3:16

Are those the facts? History is an opinion and often created to support a political believe or strategy.
When you take DAWKINS SELFISH GENE you know that Black women have their own agenda to promote their genes and seduction could as well account for this. Women have never been passive as you indicate.
Also there were both Black and White slaves that occupied the same sleeping quarters so we known what is going to be inevitable. But you are an accuser, so anti-white.

That the races will mix when in the same proximity is a given, but flooding White countries with non-whites and then forcing assimilation, integration and affirmative action discrimination against Whites is going to lead to the end of White people. That is the point.

          • davidmpark

There’s your first problem: Richard Dawkins. He’s not credible; his theories have too many variables and no repeatable lab experiments can be produced.

          • John3:16

Again history is an opinion. But in this case a history has been created to support the ongoing genocide of the White race. This is about propaganda and not correct history.

          • davidmpark

History is not opinion – that’s unethical.

          • John3:16

Your “history” is an opinion, sharpened as a tool of White genocide. That’s clear. Its sad when a person is so ignorant that he thinks his opinion is the truth.

          • davidmpark

Hyperbole and personal attacks iare not proof.

And I’m referencing as close to the original records as possible. That’s what Historians do.

          • John3:16

Anti-white prejudice clouds clear historical accuracy. Dealing with what is happening today is more liable to be accurate. What we see is a flooding of White countries with non-whites, forced integration, assimilation. Then end result is fewer and fewer Whites as a direct result of these social policies which you support. Its White genocide.

        • davidmpark

          What the #$%& is this?!

Race doesn’t matter anymore. It was a leftover from the worldwide economic and social collapse at Babel. The different races have been traveling for at least 3000 years and interbreeding. There are no pure races anymore; and we’re all pretty much like 8th and 9th cousins anyway.

What matters is content of character and doing good to all mankind!

          • John3:16

Your verbage is anti-white. What is right about that? Diversity is a codeword for White genocide.

          • davidmpark

Your verbage is anti-human. The same kind of rhetoric that led to Auschwitz, Dachau, and Topaz. And we all know who the first victims were, don’t we?

It was the handicapped. The people that deserve protection and charity, are the first to die in any holocaust. The reasoning was race purity. Those with Downs Syndrome, Palsy, severe traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy – all killed!

And now comes the lynch pin of my argument: my wife has severe traumatic brain injury and epilepsy. There has been talk already from medical ethicist groups that she should be liquidated being a useless life form for breeding and labor.

Now, you call for an end to such things as diversity; fine. What do I care. You call for a stop to “white genocide”. Whatever. You go about this race garbage, just remember who was the first victims every time this was tried; and just know that I will stand in your way. Even if it costs me my life.

Call me a monster all you want; no one cares. They know me here, and they know I am a man of my word – my wife lives. That is not up for negotiation! End of discussion!

      • John3:16

Yes, you are right. And so many of the anti-whites will deny this so that the dilution, or in more accurate terms, White genocide is supported and continued.

Canada is a good option- same language, culture, etc. Lots of great paying trades jobs here on the prairies and you’re never very far from the food source (farmers) if it comes down to barter. It’s perfect here, really. The military is too small to control the people and the people mostly don’t have guns, especially hand guns. Pretty safe bet and you’ll pick up the accent in no time!

    • Mike Smithy

Although Canada has an abundance of natural beauty, it is a bastion of liberalism. I for one would never consider relocating to a place with strict gun laws, socialized medicine and draconian taxes.

      • Priszilla

        Try Somalia instead, Nigeria, Uganda,

        • Mike Smithy

Perhaps you should try living in North Korea because that is Canada’s political and economic trajectory.

If I lived in the US I would feel obligated to buy a gun because everybody else has one. For the same reason, I don’t need one in Canada.
There’s nothing wrong with the principle of public health care. I believe health care is a basic human right and everyone should have equal access.
As for “draconian taxes”, I pay about the same taxes as my American family members, except they have exorbitant health ins fees and that was BEFORE Obamacare!

    • Rene Girrard

Canada is a country in spiritual darkness and expecially a city like Vancouver, BC. Also, you can cut the socialism in the air with a knife. But, yes, Canada does have some good points. I just think it’s far from perfect–well unless maybe hookers and blow is your main reason for living.

      • Priszilla

TRY Philippines. American gun culture, no socialised medicine, very catholic, no divorce law, no contraceptives for the poor, if you kid steals a mobile phone too much, vigilantes might dis arm and behead him with a machete and dump the leftover on the highway.

      • DB

There is “spiritual darkness” depending on your perspective, but not more than the average Western country. As for socialism, I often think the US has outdone Canada with the government handouts/bailouts, especially in the last few years. “Perfect” was a bad choice of word on my part but I do think Canada is a good option if one was to leave the States for good.

        • Rene Girrard

Yes I agree with you that America is almost a socialist country now. If I was young and healthy again I would try one of those northern cities where it gets real cold.

It’s time to stop thinking the government always needs to save us. It’s time to unite and restructure. We must return to the principles of our founders. As for the whole NWO fear, let’s not fall into the traps of the elite. Good luck people, we’ll all need some.

That is a very tendentious comment, designed to fool you. Nobody suggested going to live in central Africa or Pakistan. But you, Michael, know VERY WELL that there are plenty of countries where the standard of living is ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE higher than the United States: Australia, NZ, ALL the Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland).., Switzerland, Singapore… the list goes on and on. So don’t be fooled by the covert ‘American Exceptionalism’ thinking behind that comment. I lived 22 years in the United States and I’ve been in Malaysia for five years. I spent nearly $35.00 for food today, on my food stamp EBT card. (Please, no comments about buying lobster on food stamps.)

Well, as a matter of fact, I do buy fish on my food stamp card. A particular brand which I shall not name… lemon pepper tuna pouches. $2.25 each. Sorry, no lobster here.

You don’t realize how much $35 is, until you’re down to less than a dollar and a half in cash. One dollar bill, a nickel and a dime. That’s it. And then you realize, something like 1/4 of the world lives on this amount every single day.

You should try it sometime. How long will you last on $2.00 a day? My guess – maybe 3 or 4 days. Forget about utilities and mortgage. Throw that out the window. Your main priority is to EAT. And to feed your family.

    • Priszilla

Except rent and utilities we currently pay about £10 per person and day. That includes food, cleaning, laundry, travel, communication, medicine, etc. Visiting family overseas not included.

When a rat is cornered, that’s when the rat is at his most dangerous. Think of the bankster-controlled government of The Banana Republic of America as a cornered rat. The BRA is falling apart in so many ways, and when this depression deepens considerably and all hell breaks loose, the cornered rat will turn on its own people. So it isn’t surprising that so many people want to leave this hellhole. Between the failing economy and the militarized police state, many Americans want to leave the BRA before it destroys them. But here’s the thing: this financial nightmare is global, and the BRA won’t be the only place with widespread suffering and rivers of blood in the streets. We’re looking at an economic nightmare worse than the Great Depression combined with a world war more devastating than the last two world wars. If you do opt to leave, choose carefully. I know some American expats who successfully made the transition and never looked back, but it takes a certain type of person to do that. If you’re the type of person who speaks only English, never learned any foreign languages, can’t understand why folks in Rome say “buon giorno” and makes a beeline for McDonalds whenever you travel abroad, you’ll be miserable as an expatriate. The happy expats I know are people who were open to new experiences.

But again, this is a global nightmare, and the pain will be felt far and wide.

Leaving the US is a very serious decision. Our three generation family left six years ago after several years of deep introspection. Unless you know where you want to go and why, you are probably making a mistake.

We wanted a smaller population, low corruption, solid infrastructure, arts culture, strong education, a temperate climate, no hand guns, and sufficient fresh water. With that kind of a want list came higher taxes and a higher cost of living. We had to trade standard of living for quality of life.

To save money we bought a house for all three generations. My wife and I are retired. Our daughter has started her own business and is making more money than she ever dreamed in the US. The grandkids are getting a world-class education that should give them a great launch in life.

We have made many new friends and we have worked hard to become good citizens of our new land. We left behind 352 years of family history. This was a very tough decision, but for us, it was the right decision. We are all growing in new and exciting ways, learning and adapting as we go.

We just became new citizens a few days back and we are full of hope for our family future.

I am one of those currently seeking a way to leave the US of BABYLON before it destroys me even more than it already has. I was raised to be a flag-waving patriotic all-American boy yet the more I have examined what I was told the USA was/is in comparison to the way it REALLY is the more I feel ripped off and disappointed. Sometimes I wish I could be like the vast majority of mind-controlled ignorant MSM informed citizens who are content pretending everything is going to be fine.. but I would be an idiot to do so at this point having seen (and felt) the reality. For many years now I have been an online activist trying to “WAKE UP” people but so many simply wish to close their eyes and even though they say they wish to fight the system they still daily participate in it and reinforce it further by allowing greater and greater losses in their personal freedoms..all in the name of safety and the ability to get in line for some upgrade in their “iCrap”. After 8 years of trying to change this system I am finally just tired of trying anymore. The people who say they want change just point fingers at everyone else and demand “they” change rather than realizing that all change must BEGIN WITHIN and be activated by Compassion and LOVE. So, even if it costs me pretty much all the junk I have accumulated I no longer care.. I will find a new place more worthy of my “patriotism” where people are not greedy and cold and arrogant and selfish (and Yes, there are places on this planet that people still value and live in compassion and love). I can no longer smile and wave my “Chinese Made” American Flag because America itself has become a “whore” who offers me nothing but eternal debt slavery without any real positive growth opportunities. shm.. sigh.. PEACE! <3

“…..And if you do lose everything, don’t expect anyone to care very much. There is already a frightening lack of compassion for those down on their luck. Once you lose everything, society just wants you to go away.”

Thank you for telling the truth. There does seem to be a complete lack of compassion for the homeless and the poor. What kind of people make laws and condone laws that prevent someone from using a blanket? Are the homeless supposed to freeze to death instead of using a blanket? Yet, America claims to be a Christian nation? Have these “Christians” bothered to read the Bible? Did they skip the part about however one treats the least among them is how they treat Jesus? I hear many people say that the poor need to work harder (even though they already work very hard), that the poor need to go to college (even though college is very expensive and there are quite a few degree holders that cannot find work), and that the poor are a drain on society (even though these are people that paid taxes and may have been our next door neighbor not that long ago).

For those that are poor or homeless, please know that Jesus loves you and has compassion and mercy for you. Also, there are some of your fellow Americans that care too.

Obviously this is a blog cataloging the economic collapse we find ourselves, but as is slightly touched on here, the moral collapse is at the root.

Take sodomite marriage and abortion as just 2 examples. Look at history. Moral collapse and decline always precedes economic collapse. God is not mocked.

    • Azrael

Actually your god is mocked every day by almost everybody and that really doesn’t matter a bit since your god doesn’t exist.

Rid me of our tired, our poor,
Our huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of our teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, away:
I lift my lamp beside the golden exit door.

So long as they continued to work, and breed, their other activities were without importance. Left to themselves, like cattle turned loose upon the plains of Argentina, they had reverted to a style of life that appeared to be natural to them, a sort of ancestral pattern…Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult. – George Orwell

    Sound familiar?

Where can we go? It will be a New WORLD Order.

    Don’t consider moving to Argentina.

I have a friend who lives there, and she’s told me things are horrible economically in Buenos Aires.

Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner’s economic policies have practically wrecked that country. Now her government wants to nationalize private owned businesses, like the railroads and airline companies.. And also nationalize retirement accounts.

Coming soon to a country near you…

It is both very true and very sad. If one had their eyes wide open 15 years ago what is happening today was predicted back then. Hardly a soul believed it….but we did. Thus we sacrificed and built an alternate life to sustain those of us in those region who both agreed and contributed in like kind. The rest can die by their non actions….
Those who ignored it are now faced with a grim future. One which will not include us. They played while we sacrificed.
Our future is secured here for a long time but the country could always slide in a direction which no matter how well one got ready..staying in the USA was just not a wise choice. Thus for sometime now we have been working at Plan B which means relocation. A complete sell off here to a new life there. There could well be the central highlands of Costa Rica of another such secluded place.
It is very difficult to find reliable information of semi remote Ranches and homes down there. Most everything in town or city centered. Yet I persist.
I feel sorry for the unprepared but I will not reward bad past behavior either. Of course there will so many telling us it is our humane duty to share and share alike…. well until we run out and die then they will tell the next person the same thing.

I have a little story here for you all…. please read it and then you might understand why you best keep walking right on past preppers homesteads…..

……Once there lived an ant and a grasshopper in a grassy meadow.
    (Prepper vs non-prepper)

All day long the (prepper)ants would work hard, collecting grains of wheat from the farmer’s field far away. She/he would hurry to the field every morning, as soon as it was light enough to see by, and toil back with a heavy grain of wheat balanced on their heads. The (prepper) ants would put the grain of wheat carefully away in their larder, and then hurry back to the field for another one. All day long they would work, without stop or rest, scurrying back and forth from the field, collecting the grains of wheat and storing them carefully in their larder.

The grasshopper would look at them and laugh. ‘Why do you work so hard, dear ants?’ he would say. ‘Come, rest awhile, listen to my song. Summer is here, the days are long and bright. Why waste the sunshine in labour and toil?’

The ants would ignore him, and head bent, would just hurry to the field a little faster. This would make the grasshopper laugh even louder. ‘What a silly little ants (preppers) you are!’ he would call after her. ‘Come, come and dance with me! Forget about work! Enjoy the summer! Live a little!’ And the grasshopper would hop away across the meadow, singing and dancing merrily.

Summer faded into autumn, and autumn turned into winter. The crisis event came….. The sun was hardly seen, and the days were short and grey, the nights long and dark. It became freezing cold, and snow began to fall.

The grasshopper didn’t feel like singing any more. He was cold and hungry. He had nowhere to shelter from the snow, and nothing to eat. The meadow and the farmer’s field were covered in snow, and there was no food to be had. ‘Oh what shall I do? Where shall I go?’ wailed the grasshopper. Suddenly he remembered the ants. ‘Ah – I shall go to the ants and ask them for food and shelter!’ declared the grasshopper, perking up. So off he went to the ant’s house and knocked at their (outer perimeter gate)door. ‘Hello ants!’ he cried cheerfully. ‘Here I am, to sing for you, as I warm myself by your fire, while you get me some food from that larder of yours!’

The ant looked at the grasshopper (through the ant’s 3×9 rifle scope)and said, ‘All summer long I worked hard while you made fun of me, and sang and danced. You should have thought of winter then! Find somewhere else to sing, grasshopper! There is no warmth or food for you here!’ And the ant shut the door (told the grasshopper to go and took off the safety) in the grasshopper’s face.

It is wise to worry about tomorrow today. A word to wise is sufficient. Read and weep that.

Go with what you know. There are no truly “safe” places. Stay in your own country and prepare. You speak the language, you know your way around, understand our customs. And why give away the “land of the free” to the socialists? When it collapses maybe we can rebuild it back to our old glory…

YOUmay want to reconsider relocating anywhere, because unless you are familiar with the area you are going to move to you will automatically be at a disadvantage, not knowing where stuff is, how the culture and area are changing during a depressionary economy. At least if you stay where you are in familiar area you can still get around and survive and know what to expect. The most difficult aspect of surviving anywhere is no knowing what to expect when the bandinini hits the rotary oscillator!Do not discard your familiarity with your surroudings since it allows you to know what to expect and plan accordingly. Go to a new area and it may take you 5 yrs before you know what you are doing and how to adapt! Remember it is always what they do NOT tell you that is more important than what they do tell you.. Example in the pacific northwest they tell you it rains there all the time, and compared to california, it does! But you would not want to be homeless and have to live on the street in Portland Or. Likewise it may be hot all the time in Dallas Texas but if you are homeless where can you shower every day so that you do not smell like a skunk?

The French also had serious social unrest in 2005, in areas of Rioting in the Paris region.
Although the flashpoint or triggering event was a local incident, the real issues (as is so often the case) arose from a much deeper, broader condition.

“This event ignited pre-existing tensions. Protesters told The Associated Press the unrest was an expression of frustration with high unemployment and police harassment and brutality. ‘People are joining together to say
we’ve had enough’, said one protester. ‘We live in ghettos. Everyone lives in fear.’”

Europeans nations are much older nations than the U.S., and may be observed in many regards as a forerunner of what’s to come here.

The Rodney King riots of ’92 was a good example of what folks are capable of, almost at the drop of a pin. Although that particular flashpoint was racial in nature, the seething anger below the surface became abundantly clear. My family lived in Pasadena at the time.

The store where I worked at, had all its windows smashed in with crowbars during an attempted break in.

Several stores, just 2-3 blocks from our home, were burned down.

    Riots are most certainly coming.

People will cry for the rocks and mountains to fall and cover them. It really doesn’t matter where you are, it will come to your neighborhood soon. Probably a good idea to know your neighbors.

After an extremely stable work record, I was let go in 2010. Nationwide, thousands of faithful employees were discharged for slight reasons, and replaced by low-wage workers – who had little to no loyalty, work ethic or character. It all turned to cronyism and whose drinking buddy you were.

3 1/2 years later, a white male, at 60, I am a stranger in a strange land. And virtually unemployed.

I researched anti-white and age discrimination and here is what I found:

    1) It has nothing to do with Race or nationality.

It has everything to do with targeting people groups (in the name of affirmative action, I suppose), by offering tax incentives to corporations – a wonderful way to build voting blocks.

    2) What’s behind the age issue is the insurance companies. Everyone knows that people over a certain age, say 35, 40.. have more health insurance claims. And so they go to executives and small business owners and say, “We’ll keep your premiums down if you hire young. A win – win for both of us. Oh, by the way, ‘we never had this conversation, right?’”

And “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.” Wait til the elderly become “socially inexpedient” (in other words, too much of an economic burden on society).

Prediction: A new standard routine will will be coming soon, to a planet near you..

A very nice lady walks into a room at a convalescent home, takes the elderly occupant by the hand, and talks most sympathetically about his or her illness, suffering, or just being sick of life in the present world. She speaks comfortingly and reassuringly about the better place. It just looks better and better. “… it’s just a shot away.”
    And entirely painless too.

Behold!, a legion of Dr. Kevorkians ariseth..

Most of those renouncing were born here to foreign parents and have lived/worked outside the U.S. all their lives, BUT have been forced to file with the IRS every year as well as in their own country.

Renouncing allows them to skip paying for increasingly complex & expensive U.S. tax filings required of those holding ‘foreign’ accounts.

Moving out of the United States in the worst decision anyone can make.It is going to remain better in the USA, not matter how much the standard of living keeps dropping. Because it is higher than anyone else and will drop slower here than anywhere else.

Any one able to legally get into The U.S. is still anxious to get in. This is still be best place in the world for poor people. I will be for another 100 years.

As a Brit who left the UK over 40-years ago because of high taxes, lousy weather, endless strikes, and who has lived in Thailand for the last 24-years, I would really like to have more accurate information on how the average US citizen is coping these days – I mean in general, not the unfortunate minority who have fallen on bad times. Those few I speak to don’t seem to be doing so badly, but is this typical? Even the poor in the US are reported to have free gov cell phones, TVs. and cars !!

    • Anonymous

Public transit is almost non-existent in the USA (especially when compared to Europe and the UK), which almost makes a car a necessity. Cell phones and t.v.s can be used to control people and spread propaganda, so, yes, many poor are encouraged to have those things. However, there are some working people that work full-time jobs but cannot afford electricity, making their t.v. useless. Then, there are others that are working but cannot afford shoes for their children. There are people that want a job, but cannot find a job. Some “average Americans” cannot afford new cars, or new clothes. Some working Americans have to sleep at homeless shelters because they cannot afford rent in the city they work in. Some working Americans cannot afford food and have to go to food banks and soup kitchens.

There was recently an article that said “Almost half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.” There have been other articles that have stated things like “Some Americans cannot afford rent.” There is a DVD called “Inequality for all” that has interesting charts and graphs in it. There are a few “average Americans” in the DVD that note how many hours they work, and what they are paid.

3 MUCH better choices : Chile, Peru or Colombia. All 3 are booming right now and the middle class are growing fast in all 3.

  • Adelie Manchot

Because you have to be rich.

  • longview

About five million Americans live permanently outside the US. IRS rules changes and additional forms have made filing more difficult and expensive for expat Americans, most of whom are not rich. It is now becoming more logical to renounce your US citizenship than ever before, if you never plan to return. Many foreign banks will no longer do business with expat Americans because of FATCA, a new law requiring worldwide bank reporting on US citizens.

Expats have had enough. America is driving them to renounce their citizenship. Government bureaucratic hassles are causing the upsurge.

Deciding to leave America is a whole different issue and the vast majority of people should not even consider it. Those who do leave, think/fear that the decline of the US will be greater and far longer in duration than some other places. Many fear that the US will descend into social chaos if the going gets really tough. Many believe that the US dollar will lose it’s reserve status and when that happens the dollar will enter free-fall.

Leaving does not mean that you will pick a good spot unless you have prepared extremely well. In a global downturn few places will hold up well…but some will. A better plan is to try to develop resilience in the USA. Do whatever it takes to remove debt, learn to garden, position yourself away from areas that may become socially unstable, minimize recurring expenses, do not trust banks and retirement plans with significant amounts of your money. Keep some silver coins/rounds for extreme situations.

If you are in a large city, you will be at risk in several ways. The food supply system is highly vulnerable to disruption. Social unrest can turn you into a refugee in an instant.

It certainly looks like the US we have known is ending and several decades of difficult adjustment are immediately ahead.

    Good luck to all!

  • Eddy

It is my firm belief, that no matter where you go, no one will be excused what’s coming down the track, unless of course you are filthy rich, and even then it requires some serious thought.
Reasons being the N.W.O. is hell bent upon foisting upon us all, a World monetary system, however that cannot be done successfully until the old one has been so thoroughly demonized and destroyed that folks will welcome the new system with open arms, something they would not be prepared to do today.
So you can see, we have still a fair way to go yet, before people will accept the new system waiting in the wings. The issue I have however with this scenario, is how do the rich adjust, as their riches will become worthless over night, bringing them down to everyone else’s levels ? Unless of course you’ve got the inside spiel with one of the architects.

Early 2009 I took the decision to relocate, it will finally happen this year Spring. It can be a long process to relocate, and expensive. you have not much time if you want to relocate, I visited PR on DEC, I felt better there than here, it is not a police state, if you can, relocating in PR is a better option than stay here, it is safer than mexico and you do not need a visa. people is nice ( I am puertorrican)

Although we were told to love one another and to forgive our enemies, Jesus was often quite angry.

    John 2:15, 16

“Making a whip out of cord, he drove them all out of the Temple, sheep and cattle as well, scattered the money changers’ coins, knocked their tables over and said to the dove sellers, ‘Take all this out of here and stop using my Father’s house as a market.”

  • 2Gary2

let the Benedict Arnold selfish right wing nuts leave. Take their wealth on their way out to pay the country back that gave them the opportunity to get rich. I doubt any poor are doing this renouncing their citizenship.

    • Rick Caird

LOL, why would the poor want to give up their government sinecure? Do you have an analogy that is actually sensible?

Why do people choose to run away from the country instead of staying and fighting for it? I for one love my country very much and intend to stay and fight the cancer eating away at this country ( aka. Lib Dems ) if it cost my life so be it but i will not go alone……GOD BLESS AMERICA!

You can not immigrate to many countries if your over 40 unless you bring a LOT of cash along. For example I think you have to bring at least $500,000 along if you want to immigrate to New Zealand if you’re over 40. They don’t want you moving there to mooch off their social programs.

  • peace angel

NOT to mention that NONE of the major corporations in the US ever pay federal taxes. THEY do not.

  • peace angel

THEY are and have been eligible for our benefits for two decades and they take great advantage of this in all our border towns alone. THEY also do so in our welfare offices. I have been involved in working with illegal Mexicans for three decades and know first hand that IF there is a Mexican behind the window at the welfare office which is always the case in high volume hispanic communities then they will get all the benefits you think they do not get. Your are wrong.

I am not in favor of kicking them all out, BUT in Miami alone we paid to deport 200,000 illegal criminals back to Mexico last year. We are feeding and giving benefits to more than 2 million illegals who are career criminals and use our prisons as home nationwide. THEY should all be deported and we should not be providing benefits to gangbangers and career criminals and we do.

  • peace angel

THE most honest comment in a sea of madness that has developed on this thread.

  • beentohardknocksU

Folks – what you need to understand that there are literally MILLIONS who never “left” the US – they never actually lived there! They were born abroad to US parents or were born in the US but lived their entire lives in another country. The US is tarring them with the same brush as the “rich tax cheat” (which I suspect is more myth than reality anyway). They’re not running away from the US, the US is shoving unwanted citizenship down their throats and trying to tax them lifeless for privilege. Retroactive changes to the law have ensured that the boundless joy of being a citizen was conferred on people who didn’t want it and weren’t consulted. Renouncing comes with a big price tag even if you never lived in the US or earned a dime there. It is utterly disgusting the threats they have made to pensioners and perfectly ordinary people living outside the US whose only crime was having US ancestry. But hey, it’s your country if that’s what you call the blessings of liberty knock yourselves out. Just dont’ expect any of these people to ever go there again or spend a nickel, let alone a dime, in a country that would do such things and care so little about what is done in their name.
