28 Good Questions That The Mainstream Media Should Be Asking

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Why is there so little trust in the mainstream media these days?  CNN ratings have been hovering close to record lows over the past few months.  A recent Gallup survey found that 60 percent of all Americans “have little or no trust” in the mainstream media.  That was a record high according to Gallup.  So why is this happening?  Sadly, the truth is that the mainstream media quit telling the truth a long time ago.  The mainstream media has an agenda, and more Americans than ever are beginning to recognize this.  Once upon a time, control of the news in the United States was at least somewhat decentralized.  But now there are just six giant media corporations that control almost everything that we see, hear and watch.  The version of “the news” that they give us is designed to serve the interests of those corporate giants and the other corporate giants that spend billions of dollars to advertise their products through those outlets.  Watching the news on television can be an extremely frustrating experience these days.  Yes, there are little bits and pieces of the truth in there, but you have to wade through an awful lot of “infotainment” to get to those bits and pieces.  That is one of the reasons why the “alternative media” has absolutely exploded in recent years.  The American people are hungry for the truth, and they are increasingly turning to alternative sources of news on the Internet in an attempt to find it.

We live at a time when the world is changing more rapidly than ever before.  Just about everything that can be shaken is being shaken, and anyone with half a brain realizes that we are heading for challenges that previous generations never even could have imagined.

There certainly is no shortage of news, but instead of focusing on the terribly important issues that we are facing, the mainstream media feeds us an endless stream of fluff, scandals and celebrities.

Just check out some of the headlines that I found on the front pages of major mainstream news websites today….

“Man Dies After Roach-Eating Contest”

“Ex-NFL Cheerleader Admits To Sex With Minor”

“Facebook Rolls Out Pinterest-Like Tool For Buying Stuff”

“Grumpy Cat Becomes Internet Sensation”

So what should the mainstream media really be talking about today?

The following are 28 good questions that the mainstream media should be asking….

1. Why is the IMF warning that there is an “alarmingly high” risk of a deeper global economic slowdown?

2. Why is Switzerland preparing for “major civil unrest” throughout Europe?

3. If the Spanish financial system completely collapses, what is that going to mean for the rest of Europe and the rest of the globe?

4. Is Turkey about to drag the rest of NATO (including the United States) into a war with Syria?

5. Why aren’t people screaming in outrage about the fact that the U.S. national debt increased by more than a trillion dollars for the fourth straight year in 2012?

6. Should we be concerned that the U.S. government added more to the U.S. national debt on the first day of fiscal year 2013 than it did from 1776 to 1941 combined?

7. If temporary refinery problems can cause some gas stations to shut down and cause gas prices in California to skyrocket to all-time highs, what would a real crisis do?

8. Why are some analysts predicting that a “rapid collapse” is coming for the U.S. dollar?

9. Will the U.S. dollar soon lose its status as the primary reserve currency of the world?

10. Why is Marc Faber warning that the wealthy “may lose up to 50 percent of their total wealth“?

11. By keeping interest rates near zero, is the Federal Reserve crushing the retirement dreams of millions of elderly Americans?

12. Why do Barack Obama, Mitt Romney and most members of Congress continue to stand behind the TSA when nearly 400 TSA employees have been fired for stealing from travelers since 2003?

13. Why are nearly half a million employees of the federal government making over $100,000 a year?

14. How in the world can you have a debate about the economy that lasts for an hour and a half and never even mention Ben Bernanke, the Federal Reserve or quantitative easing?

15. Why are Romney campaign signs being smeared with excrement?

16. British taxpayers spent 57.8 million dollars on the royal family in 2011.  U.S. taxpayers spent 1.4 billion dollars on the Obamas that same year.  How in the world can this be justified?

17. Why does the U.S. government treat our military veterans like garbage?  Many of them have given everything for their country.  Shouldn’t we treat them with more respect?

18. Why is the mainstream media ignoring a warning that an international gang of cybercriminals plans “to steal money from the online accounts of thousands of consumers at 30 or more major U.S. banks“?

19. The New England Complex Systems Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts is warning that rapidly rising global food prices could soon lead to massive food riots all over the planet.  Is this something that we should be concerned about?

20. Why is the United Nations pushing to have the authority to impose “global taxes” on all of us?

21. How did we get to the point where sex trafficking is now at epidemic levels all over the United States?

22. Why are so many young people being arrested?  Should we be concerned that 41 percent of all Americans have been arrested by the time they reach the age of 23?

23. Why are most Americans either overweight or obese or severely obese?

24. How was one Baltimore woman able to accumulate 30 free cell phones all paid for by the federal government?

25. Why are nearly 30 percent of all young adults in the 25 to 34 year old age bracket living at home with their parents?

26. Why has the birth rate in the United States fallen to an all-time low?

27. With the race for president incredibly tight right now, will the side that loses end up accusing the other side of using voter fraud to steal the election?

28. Is the U.S. Supreme Court about to make it illegal to resell our own stuff at yard sales, in thrift stores and on eBay?

Do you have any questions to add to this list?

  • Cam

Why aren’t any banksters in jail?

    • MvonM

Because as Ann Barnhardt has said before, the bankers, et al are the new oligarchy and you will never see any of them going to prison, not one. They all walk free (i.e. John Corzine) after having stolen and looted $. She also said you will never see Holder go to prison either. They will remain untouched, nothing will ever happen to any of them.

  • yeah,I have a question who’s responsible?

    • Mike

    • paul

The voter who elected this government.

the non-voter who let it happen.

      • Jim

Let’s not forget California’s prop 187, a lot of good voting did there. Look at us now almost 20 years later.

    • Wally Gator

I wouldn’t necessarily blame the voter in all cases. In states like California my home for the time being the voters vote to not allow gay marriage but a radical activist judge simply overturns the will of the people.

      • Gay Veteran

yeah, like those “radical activist judges” who overturned laws against interracial marriage

        • Malcolm Reynolds

          You’re such a liar.

          From wikipedia.
After the Second World War, an increasing number of states repealed their anti-miscegenation laws. In 1967, in Loving v. Virginia, the remaining anti-miscegenation laws were held to be unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of the United States.

          • GayVeteran

You’re such a pathetic moron. How many states ended there anti-miscegenation laws via the legislature? How many by judges? The last to go were indeed killed off by the U.S. Supreme Court.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

You got me. I’m a moron because the US Supreme Court finding a law unconstitutional is absolutely ‘radical activist jusges’

LMAO! I’ll give you credit for trying. Lame attempts for sure, but props nonetheless sissy boy.

  • Rodster

My 2 reasons I no longer listen to the MSM and get my news from print or from this site is as follows:

    1) MSM News is OPINIONATED and has an AGENDA. Call it propaganda if you like.

    2) MSM News is not really news, more like entertainment. The only time the MSM switches to hardcore news is when a disaster like 9-11 happens. Then they cutout the entertainment fluff stuff and just do real reporting.

    • Gary2

      #1 sounds like this site

that’s what you right-wingers usually say

  • Just shut up and drink the koolaide.
Or I will have to hand cuff you throw you in jail, with NO charges, NO records, NO attorney, NO trial, NO Judge and NO way out OR maybe we will just snuff you out. We can do that too! Were happy to please!
And you WILL NOT hear about us on CNN either. GOOD LUCK.
See you in the Gulag. I will be the one with my boot heal on your neck.
Bad times are a coming, PREPARE.

      doctor blue

      This doctor GSOB.

Here is an encouragement for you and to all Christian preppers as to why we should prepare. Amen

A normal reaction to stress. It helps one deal with a tense situation in the office, study harder for an exam, keep focused on an important speech.

Although I am not a pacifist, it is overwhelming fear I think, that would cause me to put on my bravest face. But I find a balance in that
two edged sword through this verse.

      2Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”

      Here is another:
      (Christ Jesus, God incarnate speaking)
John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Prepping includes selecting your most cherished verse to recite on your death bed. Here is the One I’ll take to the grave, with me. My personal favorite.

Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

      here’s another,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ, even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blemish, before Him and in love….

      Encourage one another.
      Encouraging you encourages me.

  • Paul

The US National Debt is where it is because there is no intention to ever pay it back. It is an example of what you do when you fully expect that you will never have to repay a debt, like a madman’s bucketlist.

The only question will be what will take the place of the old financial system. Who intends to own it is no longer a question needing asking.

    • paul

RIGHT. Most of the debt is held by China. If they sell the treasuries, the dollar will fall and the yuan will rise, which is exactly what the Americans want and the Chinese dread.

  • Traffix

Why do we put political correctness over the truth? Why do we make more laws when we can’t enforce 10% of the ones we already have? Why do we continue to throw away money on bloated government schools? Why do we believe we can rehabilitate criminals? Why do we allow people who don’t pay taxes to vote? Why do we allow the federal government to not enforce immigration laws? Why do we allow anyone stupid enough to vote for obama to remain in this country? Why don’t we give liberals their own states to live in? Why is this list soo long?

    • bobnoxy

Liberals can have their own states to live in? Count me in!

No more arguing with empty-headed conservatives that think Obama is a Muslim and his Christian pastor of 20 years is a terrorist.

Or who insist on more freedom and smaller government with the right to tell women what they can, and can’t do with their own bodies. No more hearing about superior family values from people who live in states with the highest rates of divorce and unwed, teenage mothers, like Palin’s kid.

No more arguing with knotheads who think Obama doubled the deficits when it was Bush who signed the first trillion dollar deficit budget into law.

No more banging my head against my desk when hearing that Romney’s business experience makes him a solid choice to run the government. Wasn’t that buffoon Bush the first MBA president? How did that work out?

And no more wondering why people who seem like they have more intelligence than a house plant thinking we should be teaching our kids total nonsense like creation theory and that evolution, like global warming, is just some confused theory.

Our own states? Sounds like heaven to me! We’ll keep Cali, and the rest of the west coast, and all of New England, Ohio and Michigan. You keep Alabama, Mississippi, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee and of course, Kansas.

      I’m in. Way in!

      • Witness the End

Problem with liberals is once they soil their nest (like California), they move on to ruin a well run conservative state.

Let’s list a few of the pillars of liberal acheivement:

        New York

All failures, all PIIGS, all a nail in the coffin of the American dream.

      • SmallerGovNow

Liberal states will be begging independent conservative states for bailouts…. As liberals talk a good game about how things “should” be, while independent conservatives make it happen…

      • Randome-11

One problem, who are going to pay all the taxes?

      • Malcolm Reynolds

Dont let the door hitcha in the ********* on the way out.

    • lastmanstanding

Traffix. Because they need us to be working/producing so that they don’t have to. They live very well of the sweat off our backs. They are kept around for their vote.

Once their vote doesn’t matter…they will be begging for mercy.

imagine several states full of entitled people…

      • bobnoxy

Actually, red states have the highest numbers of people on food stamps and unemployment benefits, which makes perfect sense since incomes and education are highly correlated, and we know that red states also sport lower educational achievement.

Well, you likely don’t know that, but anyone looking for objective information does. So it’s you and your political brethren that are leeching off of us!

        • Alvin

Lets see California a Blue state has 10% of the population and 30% of the welfare takers. Yep – good old liberal Toilet Bowl economics. and yes O-Vomit is a muslim, you just choose to ignore it.

        • Malcolm Reynolds

          Please cite.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

And please cite whether those takers are conservatives or liberals. Because we all know that red states are 100% conservative.

          • GayVeteran

“Because we all know that red states are 100% conservative”

            what an incredibly ignorant statement

          • Malcolm Reynolds

            “what an incredibly ignorant statement”

I’m thinking you, much like Gary, couldn’t possibly be very literate.

    • Gay Veteran

“Why do we believe we can rehabilitate criminals?”

because you have have punishment AND rehabilitation, otherwise you get even more hardened criminals

      • Malcolm Reynolds

rehabilitation as in rehabilitating sexual deviants where the stats show that simply doesn’t happen?

        • GayVeteran

odd, I was speaking of ordinary criminals. But then you knew that

      • Gay Veteran

Malcolm: ““Because we all know that red states are 100% conservative”

an idiotic statement on its face

  • Bill

#29. Why in light of the above, why would any sane person not vote for “No Good” as a write in?

” No Good” means there is no candidate good enough to lead America back to a position of respect. We Who vote “No good” are sick and tired of being lied to by so called leaders, main stream news media, and anyone else selling snake oil. The fiat buck stops here, stops now. Enough is enough, Its’s time for the truth. We the people have had enough. We are tired of being dumbed downed by the welfare hand outs. We want to earn our way, choose our religion, speak our peace, bear the arms we choose, defend our borders, and not invade the borders of others. We don’t expect respect until we can give it to others.

    WANTED: One Good Leader———–

    • Sofia

Netanyahu isn’t available to run for U.S. president. Can’t we find anybody as good as him in the while country???

      • Gay Veteran

Netanyahu? oh, you mean the psychopath who wants to attack Iran

        • Malcolm Reynolds

Yup. If it’s psychopathic to destroy those that say they are going to destroy you over and over and over and over, then yup, he’s *****************.

Please spare me the stupid blog lie that tries to claim Ahmadinejad never threatened anyone. Only low info liberals believe that bovine excrement.

          • GayVeteran

            your ignorance is appalling

like how we destroyed the Soviet Union when they threatened to “bury us”?

why are you buying the propaganda the corporate media is selling regarding Isreal and Iran?

          • Malcolm Reynolds

I’m sorry, what the hell are you blathering about? Oh I get it. You’re one of those highly informed libtards that believes the soviet union spontaneously combusted.

“why are you buying the propaganda the corporate media is selling regarding Isreal and Iran?”

I’m not, I’m taking islamofascists at their own words like the world should have taken Hitler at his. Why are you believing the always ignorant leftist propaganda? See Obama foreign policy where his reaction has always been 180 degrees of what it should be and is 100% wrong at all times.

    • paul

Did you check the other political parties in the US?

Could you imagine a communist president, elected by the previous 70% non-voters?

      • Bill

It is great to have a reply to a comment. It would be nice to have more of this, keep a conversation going, and gee– possibly come to a consensus.

        • paul

interesting side comment but not really a reply?

          • Bill

Just a poke at Michael to change the format to keep the conversations going. Article after article make it difficult to keep a conversation going, but that is the nature of the ever changing world. Credit to Michael for trying to make a difference.

      • Gay Veteran

Malcolm: “You’re one of those highly informed libtards that believes the soviet union spontaneously combusted.”

that kind of system was doomed to fail, didn’t you right-wingers say our system was far superior?

“I’m taking islamofascists at their own words like the world should have taken Hitler at his.”

anyone using the fake term “islamofascists” merely proves their own stupidity. you right-wingers love comparing someone to Hitler so you can justify your wars of aggression

    • GSOB

That one good leader is Ron Paul.
But he has been cheated out of the GOP
while on his way to Tampa.
      It’s all corrupted.

The only way for any true representative process to work is that the current one crashes. That will cost us all dearly.
If Christ has not returned, we can still rebuild and
reform our leadership and up hold our constitution, with the understanding that
      Christ will return.

      How about these two bookends:
The fool says in his heart there is no God.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

    • Bill

Just copied this from The Weekly Standard:

“A new chart from the minority side of the Senate Budget Committee details the fact that, since January 2009, for every person added to the labor force, 10 have been added to those not in the labor force.” The chart shows that since Jan 2009 there have been 8,208,000 people added to those NOT in the labor force while only 827,000 were added to the labor force.

Until this blantant minipulation is addressed there is only one way to vote:

      Write in for: No Good

  • Tim

Here we are just a few days into fiscal year 2013, and the federal debt has already increased by over $95 billion! Furthermore, the federal debt subject to limit is only about $270 billion below the statutory debt limit. It’s very likely that the statutory limit will be reached before the end of this calendar year. I don’t see why we even have a statutory limit to the federal debt. I mean, whenever the limit is reached, Congress simply passes legislation to raise it. I wouldn’t be surprised to see another downgrade of the federal government’s credit rating by one of the big three rating agencies before the end of the year.

Tonight I saw a clip on the news of Romney saying that he won’t allow cuts to defense spending. Yet he claims that he’ll balance the budget. How? These trillion dollar annual budget deficits will continue unless there are big changes with regard to fiscal policy. Romney has to know that the federal budget cannot be balanced without crashing the economy. How could he not? He’s a lot smarter than Obama.

    • GSOB

“I don’t see why we even have a statutory limit to the federal debt. I mean, whenever the limit is reached, Congress simply passes legislation to raise it.”

One way by analogy to understand why…

You don’t gain 20 pounds of body weight overnight, so you can’t loosen up the belt to much or else your pants would fall down.

Government controls the economy so that it can gain weight (size).
This leads to it’s obesity and the tab is passed on to the common folk consumer.
When government can’t see it’s own two feet anymore and loses it’s sense of direction, there is no stability. So government has to lose weight by impose austerity measures on itself…
but the people pay that price, that is the broken new year resolutions.

Right now America has not really implemented such weight reduction. It’s still spending and gorging itself on junky
social policies, like those of our current POTUS, who has caused the gov to gain lots of weight.

  • Why hasn’t the press reported the peer reviewed GMO/Roundup study causing cancer with food fed to rats that all American consume?

or the controversy surrounding 9/11 and the demolition of buidling 7

    • k

there is no controversy around 9/11, but the more important question is where are the WMD’s?

I am surprised no news outlets are asking this question inspite of trillions already spent on finding WMD’s.

      • GSOB

I use to think that 9/11 happend to us because we are contrary to what Islam represents. Although we are contrary, that’s not the reason.
We were attacked because of the petrodollar arrangement made with the King of Saudia Arabia for their oil, to use our currency as the sole means to provide oil transactions to the rest of the world. In return, American government promised to control the region nations, prop up governments and do nation building, supply arms and even protection from Israel if necessary.

So basically, becuase of this type of foreign policy, we sh_t in their back yards.
        That’s wy we were attacked.

The petrodollar is collapsing though and the US of A will go to war to prevent it.
Iran is oil rich and we want them to keep in line with the current policy so as to
        keep the petrodollar alive,
Iran is really know threat to us or Israel.

North Korea is more of a threat than Iran, but there is no oil for us there.

      • Anon

“there is no controversy around 9/11”

As long as people are still questioning what really happened then yes, there is controversy. The fact you may have chosen to accept the official explanation doesn’t mean it is all done and dusted.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

Since Obama resigned the emergency declaration for 9-11, does that mean he’s in on the conspiracy now too?

        • GayVeteran

“Since Obama resigned the emergency declaration”

resigned??? that doesn’t even make sense, as usual

          • Malcolm Reynolds

re-signed. See the definition of obtuse.

    • Chris F

The press hasn’t reported on it Lazy Ike because it’s bogus and they don’t want to get burned again.

      • none

I posted this same comment before, and now again.

      • Gay Veteran

Malcolm: “re-signed. See the definition of obtuse.”

if that is what you meant then you should have written that

        Obtuse? learn a new word?

  • markthetruth

    #28 one of the best.

One buys A brand new $40,000 car pay’s %8 tax $3,200 that should be it for the vehicle,
but no 1 year from now he sells it for $35,000 tax $2,800 he sell’s it for $30,000 Tax $2,400 he sells it for $25,000 tax $2,000

so far that would be would be %25 percent tax on that vehicle.

that’s why people are starting to barter, but if they go totally digital it’s going to give the government the upper hand, no more hiding cash or paying cash for used item’s.

    the end.

    • k

true…no 28 shows how much power corporations, banks and politicians(regardless of party) have over the country.

  • nate

If I understand, China has stopped purchasing our debt and instead is purchasing gold and gold mines. This leaves the Japanese now as the country that purchases more of our debt than any other. Disconcerting because their economy for the past decade hasn’t been that great and more recently they have implemented their own version of quantitative easing I read and has started printing more money. So what am I supposed to think if all thats really true?

    • uncle bill

us, euro and japan all anounced same “whatever it takes/unlimited QE printing in the same week, another blatant LIBOR manipulation to keep them all stabe relative to each other, thats what you are supposed to think nate.

  • TNT

It’s template is the mushroom nutrition program.
Feed them crap and leave them in the dark.

  • Please ask the real reason behind buying $40Billion of mortgage back securities each month without an end date or total repurchase amount. Is it to take worthless paper off of the banks balance sheet (Let the taxpayer pay for bad bank practices)? Is it to hide all the fraud that happened with the wild lending practices during 2003 thru 2007? They will be able to destroy all the evidence of fraud. I think it is both reasons and our children will and should not forgive us…

  • Bone idle

The MSM is only another tool used for the dumbing down of the general population.

  • DaytoDay

    1. When will we turn back to God?

    2. Why are there no set standards for music or television?

    3. Why do our politicians allow our jobs to be outsourced?

    4. Why is cannabis illegal?

    6. Why do most jobs pay $10/hr?

    7. Why was Christianity taken out of schools?

    8. Why is modern medicine (Pills) the only choice in healthcare?

    9. Why did president Eisenhower warn about the military industrial complex?

    10. Where’s Waldo!?!?!?!?

    • k

I agree with all your questions except religion being taught in schools.

religion shouldnt be taught in schools just as math and science shouldnt be taught in churches.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

Yep. And there’s no such thing as black and white. It’s all shades of gray. Do what you today because there may be no tomorrow. Bovine Excrement. Chistianity MUST be taught in schools once again.

you want religion taught in school? move to Saudi Arabis

          • Malcolm Reynolds

eyeroll. hell no, I’m out to make your head explode. You want sexual deviance taught in schools move to ancient greece.

      • Anon

I agree there is no place for religion in schools, unless the school is specifically a religious one that parents choose for that reason. Otherwise, in order to be fair to all religions schools would have to teach about all of them. When would they have time to teach anything else?

        • GayVeteran

Malcolm Reynolds: “You want sexual deviance taught in schools move to ancient greece.”

why are you talking about Catholic priests?

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Of course, you cannot defend you sodomites FORCING your secular humanist religion on everyone so you change the subject and point out people of your own sexual deviance, that I do not support nor have any affiliation with.

      1. Hopefully never.

“Because Christianity (along with all man made religions) are a cancer on humanity, responsible for more death and suffering throughout history than anything else.”

Ooooh, so close and yet so ridiculously false. Dictatorial govt, which is the altar at which you dipshits worship have killed and enslaved far more than any religion could ever attempt.

Just where do you think this country is headed? Democrats have completely stripped all notions of morality from the population and taught people to blindly empower govt. One need not look further into history than Mao, Stalin and Hitler for the results of that.

        • GayVeteran

awww, and them Democrats did it all by themselves, what a load of BS

and Hitler came to power in a CONSERVATIVE coalition

THAT is ignorance and democrat revisionism in writing right thar. Please cite what the Nazi party was. here, lemme help you. NATIONALIST s.o.c.i.a.l.i.s.t and quite fascist party. you have a problem with freedom

    • bobnoxy

You might want to Google ”religious freedom” and see that it means you can turn back to God any time you’d like, but you can’t impose your beliefs on the rest of us.

Then you can look up ”the separation of church and state” and see that the same applies, and that the kids can learn about God in Sunday school, but regular school is for serious stuff, like science and math. Which of those would you like to see less of to make time for religious study?

Schools are no place for religious indoctrination, especially for kids from non-Christian homes. Nobody took away your right to believe in any superstitious nonsense you want to. You just can’t force me to believe it too.

That would make you look like the Taliban. No madrassas here.

Public schools are no place for proselytizing. If you want Christianity back in the schools, you’d better prepare for including Jews, Muslims, Pagans, and Animists as well. I bet if someone wanted to chant a Buddhist prayer over the school loudspeaker, you’d have a fit.

      • GSOB

I agree. Public schools are government schools that exist in a polytheistic, post Chrisitan US of A, touting a government aka as the leader of the free world.

The only practical solution, if a parent can, is to do home schooling.
Many christians do this. Nowadays, it’s not just one or the other anymore. There are hybrids…., so more parent’s can customize a better education path for their children, is becoming more possible.

Religion, the category at hand, is one aspect.
Drugs, violence and gangs at our schools is another,…the fruit of having been on the polytheistic path to absolute polytheism for awhile. US of A is not fully there yet and as these problems increase, many parents will pull out their children from public schools.

1: Why is it that every country, every time, in every war, invokes that god is on their side? Do you believe in Santa? How about the Easter Bunny? Maybe the tooth fairy? I didn’t think so. Why would you think there is a “god” sitting in the sky?

2: Because TV is mere pablum for the masses. The government equivalent of heroin for all the obese American slugs AND there are standards. While you many not agree with them, they are in place.

3: The politicians allow jobs to be outsourced because that’s what politicians do. Werner said it best. “There are no hidden meanings, all that mystical stuff is just whats so.”

4: Cannabis is illegal because there there is alcohol. The booze lobby gives lot’s of money to support maintaining the illegality of weed.

5: It doesn’t. My son just spent $40,000.00 per year. $20,000.00 is considered a good price.

6: Wallmart must make numbers. Profit must be maintained. Workers are paid so little because they need anything in the Obama economy.

7: Your god should never be shoved down my kids throat. It’s bad enough they have to say the “Pledge of Allegiance” every day. “one nation, under god?” What a load.

8: Modern medicine is not the only choice in healthcare. The are many alternatives available. All legal. Insurance may not cover alternative treatments. That’s a problem. Cash is king in alternative medicine.

9: Eisenhower was a man before his time.

      10: Gitmo. He looks odd.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

7: Your god should never be shoved down my kids throat.

And yet you’ll shove your disgusting sodomite, humanistic one down ours… Talk about a load.

        • GayVeteran

you sexually repressed right-wingers are usually the ones fixated with things being shoved down your throats

          • Malcolm Reynolds

            and that’s a gay ‘man’ saying that….

      • Mondobeyondo

Santa? Oh yes, I believe in Santa. Rearrange the letters, and you get “Satan”.

(That has to be the oldest joke ever)

        Don’t tell the kids though….

    • GSOB

      Hello DaytoDay,

Let me take a stab at answering your questions…I hope you don’t mind.

      1. When will we turn back to God? – a remnant will be saved. Enter into the narrow gate, because wide is the gate that leads to destruction and many enter through it.

      2. Why are there no set standards for music or television?
Righteousness exalts a nation. America is post Christian and the visible, organized church has lost it’s impact, due to worldliness.

      3. Why do our politicians allow our jobs to be outsourced? – Greed.

      4. Why is cannabis illegal? – I think it’s because the risk is to great in legalizing it. But for sure, if it was, it would hurt the drug perscription business.

      5. Why does college cost 20k a year? – Greed

      6. Why do most jobs pay $10/hr? – the affects of the Department of Labor and it’s
      minimum wage law.

      7. Why was Christianity taken out of schools? – government lost it’s way attempting to recognize all religion equally, including atheism.

      8. Why is modern medicine (Pills) the only choice in healthcare? – greed

      9. Why did president Eisenhower warn about the military industrial complex? – it leads to tyranny over the people

      10. Where’s Waldo!?!?!?!?

      Who’s that?

  • GameOver

    1) why are agencies like the social security administration, “homeland” security, et. al, purchasing unprecedented amounts of ammunition in various forms?

    2) what does the unprecedented militarization of police departments across the nation mean for ordinary citizens?

    3) why did mayors across the country collude to shut down the occupy movement?

    4) why did several federal agencies cooperate to engage in an air exercise in the skies over downtown Los Angeles, the nation’s second largest metropolis?

    5) why does anyone even watch the so-called presidential debate, and then engage in dialogue over it?

and on and on and on it goes…

you’ve not seen anything yet. think your life won’t be taken? tell that to the 4 dead students shot by the National Guard in 1970, then tell it to kelly thomas who died at the hands of the fullerton police department just a couple of months ago.

be afraid. be very afraid. read some of the speeches made by Lincoln before, during, and after the civil war and know that hard times can come upon you just as they have visited this country in prior eras.

    • Rowell

      1. They’re hunting wabbits.
      2. Citizens should be prepared to have jack boots placed on their necks.
      3. Because they’re spoil sports.
      4. Because they really wanted to see the new F-35 aircraft in action.
      5. Because the average American wants to be entertained by reality TV. It’s all a game show, it’s all a sports competition. They want to see the theatrics of the debate, rather than the substance.

  • David

I found question 16 to be thoroughly fascinating. That is a HUGE difference.

How about this, though, for another question?—

How can a U.S. circuit court rule that it’s more important that a bank (New York Mellon) collect debt from Sentinel Management Group (on a loan SMG illegally secured with customers’ money) than it is to compensate the actual investors whose money SMG stole to secure the loan?!

    • Michael

Yes that is a very good one.

  • MvonM

This might be a bit “off topic” (not really) . . .

I don’t know how many of you take Pastor Williams on Alex Jones’ show seriously, but he was saying something today about how he was told that the way the Fed is borrowing the forty billion per month now (I think that’s the correct amount?) is that they’ve basically “bought” everyone’s home in the United States, and they’re not telling you this, so your own home doesn’t belong to you anymore. I’m not sure if what he’s saying is true or not, as we should be discerning, but if is, then it seems to fit right in with what the founding fathers said — that Americans will one day end up homeless in their own country.

Sad thing is, Americans as a whole are still a lot more educated and aware than other peoples.

Meanwhile, I speak to Canadians on a daily basis who are seriously BRAIN DEAD and think “things will get better.” LOL! Wow. Such stupidity just boggles the mind. As Ann Barnhardt has said already, it is MATHETICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to get out of this mess.

Mexicans also think things will get better. Those who have moved to Canada think Canada will make it through.

These people are just dumb! They do not realise how all the economies are linked together? I mean, really, I’m not trying to make myself out to be a genius, but these people are so damn dumb!

    • Anon

“Sad thing is, Americans as a whole are still a lot more educated and aware than other peoples.”

I’m not sure why you would come to that conclusion. Care to elaborate?

      • MvM

Travel around to Mexico, Canada, and Europe, and talk to the people directly. Europeans and Americans are WAY more aware than Canadians and Mexicans. In fact, most Canadians I know are so insulated, that’s why they’re going on strike all the time — they are also not very hard working up here and quite lazy as a whole. I never valued Americans as hard working until I saw how lazy they are in Canada — there is a whole laid back “don’t want to have to work” thing going on in Canada.

As for Mexicans, the middle class down there is completely clueless, they have NO IDEA what is going on. Some even protest there are problems with the drug issues and say the country is “safe.”

        These people are in denial.

        • Anon

But that’s just anecdotal, based on your experiences, it doesn’t prove that Americans on the whole are more educated than any other peoples. You are just stereotyping a whole lot of people based purely on your own view of the world.

  • Mondobeyondo

It’s no longer news. It’s celebrity entertainment, with a dash of the obscene and bizarre (gotta get higher ratings!).

Occasionally, an embassy will be bombed ,we’ll declare war against a Middle Eastern country, or a diplomat will be kidnapped or whatever, and the “news” networks have no choice but to go to real, hard news.

Apart from that, it’s cat videos on YouTube, and that guy who died after eating too many roaches. Ewwww. The FDA really does need to hand out a warning. “Eating cockroaches may be hazardous to your health”. Now, you wouldn’t think that would be necessary, given where most cockroaches live (sewers, etc.) – but this is America in 2012. There are a lot of stupid people out there. Anything’s possible.

Having said that – I’m off to catch the latest video of Honey Boo-Boo. No, really.

  • Mondobeyondo

Aww, that stuff mentioned isn’t important.

What’s really important is that CatNaps(tm) has more than twice the fish in each serving, than the other leading cat food brand. Yes, CatNaps(tm) is what your cat loves. It’s what he CRAVES! He can’t live without CatNaps(tm)!

That, and it’s also John Lennon’s birthday.* Later in our show, we’ll examine every single aspect of the Beatles’ founder’s life. And in a few minutes, Savannah Guthrie will interview a prominent psychologist to determine – is love really all we need?
*true! He was born on October 9th, 1940

  • Gary2

    29. Something has to give.

And it will. If the wealthy want their little balcony champagne soirees to be enjoyable, they are going to have to buy peace. Those without aren’t going to take the 1% in-your-face extravagance without a response forever. The 1% are either going to have to ensure that no one lacks for the basic necessities, or they are going to have to break their banks defending themselves against those in want. The choice is theirs. The time is short. And if this be the dreaded Socialism, then we’ll make the most of it – for we are running out of things to lose.

When Marie Antionette and her old man lost their heads to hungry, angry peasants, it wasn’t called Socialism. Time is short, indeed.

Please make a reasonable profit just don’t be a **************** Pig.

Cannot agree more. There is plenty of loot out there….stolen by greedy sons of bitches. It will be taken back eventually. If the bastards were smart they would stop now….or else their free market casino capitalism gig will end…..with their own blood. Ante up boys…..your party is over.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

You must be dumber than a bag of hammers. Of course you are, you’re liberal.

hello? define the words ‘stolen’ and ‘greedy’.

  • Gary2

this is mainly due to the media pandering to low information conservatives. just look at fox news.

Also like Michael said only 6 companies own everything.

Hopefully when Obama wins we will have the fairness doctrine reinstated. This will go a long way towards debunking all the conservative BS like rush pillhead.

    • Malcolm Reynolds

“this is mainly due to the media pandering to low information conservatives. just look at fox news.”

Ahh yes. The simpleton’s analysis. Fox news is one outlet. Just 1. And it’s hardly the super right wing conspiracy mongering evil empire you doltish leftists make it out to be.

Now lets talk about the PLETHORA of lying their asses off leftist outlets.

Read this Gary. (I know you wont) You’re the ‘low information’, unable to utilize critical thinking dumbass the article talks about that’s been propagandized to the point of sheer stupidity. Hat tip to Paul M from last thread about Detroit.

          • GayVeteran

you are utterly clueless, you think the heads of the big corporations are liberals???

          • Malcolm Reynolds

LMAO! First off, you clueless dolt, I was saying fascism is decidedly leftist.

            But aside from that.

See obama’s largest contributors in the last election… See George Soros. See the gigantic hollyweird corporations. See GE. See Microsoft. See Apple. Should I continue?

            Yup. clueless here.

Malcom–I did not know you relied on a scooter to get around. That was you in the first picture out for a ride? I think you are the moocher getting the gov to pay for your scooter. The confederate flag must have been on the other side of your scooter.

My family is off-shoring medical during visits with relatives overseas. Next, we will off-shore college education beginning in a few years.

I followed that link on obamas spending 1.4Billion$ on them selves, because I couldnt imagine how they could possibly do that.

  • paul

    Michael, that is fear mongering.
The UN was talking about billionaires.
Are you really all billionaires already.

They are talking about global financial transactions designed to make money from miniscule exchange rate differences in different countries.

And they are talking of explorations in the seabed in international waters.

That is a result of Puritanism.

The abhorrence of naked skin and bodily contact leaves a void that can only be filled by criminal activities.

People who go to nudist beaches have “seen it all”. They wouldn’t pay a cent for pictures, or performances of naked people.

If you enter a sauna in Germany be prepared to be in a mixed sauna AND be asked in very cross words to lose your bathing suit.

In Eastern Germany girls entering puberty started to see the gynecologist regularly and could request to get the pill on prescription. Teenage pregnancy was nearly non-existing. On the other hand mothers were mostly in their early 20s.

The multi generational household is nothing wrong. Family is taking care of each other.
In Hong Kong 57% of young people live with their parents. And they get a tax break for that.

I wouldn’t worry about that. This affects the Ferraris of the supreme court judges as well.

Michael, you have criticised the mainstream media of not asking important questions, but you have too have forgotten asking where iraqs WMD’s are?

    • Malcolm Reynolds

Try reading dumbass and maybe you’ll find them yourself.

      • Gay Veteran

        iraqs WMD’s?

they didn’t exist, it was all a lie to start a war of agression against Iraq. a war supported by BOTH parties because there are NO real differences between the parties

        • Malcolm Reynolds

Another dumbass that can’t read. There were plenty of chemical weapons found in Iraq. No, they didnt find mega tons of the stuff that liberals believe are required to fulfill “WMDs in Iraq” but then how much dual usage, ready to make chem factories were there, hmmmmm?

Of course you dolts wont touch that with a 10 foot pole. And of course, you’ll NEVER look at every last swinging liberal who talked about the same damned thing either. Nor will you dolts touch the 17-18 other reasons cited for the war in Iraq, so of course, you people cant be taken for serious adults.

“a war supported by BOTH parties because there are NO real differences between the parties”
I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear you over the all the republican war monger accusations and republicans are all evil but somehow democrats aren’t excrement you continuously spout.

          • GayVeteran

“There were plenty of chemical weapons found in Iraq.”

really? and yet the Bush administration didn’t hold a gigantic news conference to announce their findings? say, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell to you

“really? and yet the Bush administration didn’t hold a gigantic news conference ”

PLease cite for me the PLETHORA of Bush friendly news sources. It should be easy. Please dont cite FoxNews. Contrary to stupid liberal proclamations of the oh so right wing fox, FoxNEws is ‘fair’ AT BEST to republicans, hardly right wing.

“you don’t get it, there is massive bipartisan consensus in DC.”

And yet you continue to blame everything on republicans…

            “Keep licking that corporate boot”

The state run MSM credo is what I like to call DEPTH = Don’t Ever Panic The Herd. Is this being done in hopes things will get better or is it by design in order to intensify impact on people once things do fall apart? Just like the orchestra aboard the Titanic that kept playing right up to the end, media keeps playing its soothing song to keep peoples attention. Some knew the ship was sinking and prepared for the worst, some scoffed and went back to the bar and some had no idea what to do. Thanks to Michael and company, all here are well aware the ship is sinking and are preparing for the worst.

Control of the “news” is but one facet of the plan developed by Adam Weishaupt about 225 years ago. The whole plan has as its goal the total domination of the world. If you do not know the names of Moses Uritsky, or Lavrenti Beria, or Felix Dzernzhinsky, or Trotsky, or Kaganovich, you are DOOMED!

The birthrate needs to fall idiot. The world is horribly overpopulated and most of the problems you rant about are mainly due to this in the end. The bible thinks the world is not even 10,000 years old, and that is NUTS. Anyone who believes in the bible (YOU) is simply not that smart.

    • Malcolm Reynolds

Talking about not smart. Where in the Bible does it say that the earth is not even 10000 years old? As they say, you were duped dumbass.

      • Gay Veteran

wow, a lot of you Christians certainly believe the Earth is less than 10,000 years old

        • Malcolm Reynolds

And alot of you liberals believe government is benevolent and benign.

Of course, you didn’t answer the question and will continue to lie that ‘the bible says’.

          • GayVeteran

and yet the FACT remains that a lot of Christians continue to believe that the Earth is less than 10,000 years old

Bishop Usher certainly used the bible to make his case

The Bible is God’s word to us. He reveals to us His plan in creating all things and gives us answers to questions like, why do we die, what is life about, why are we here, and why people like yourself dismiss God and the Bible altogether.
Most important though, it center’s it’s teaching on the Kingdom to come and that
Jesus Christ is the centrality and universality of God’s economy.

    27. With the race for president incredibly tight right now, will the side that loses end up accusing the other side of using voter fraud to steal the election?
If this happens, it will be the Chicago Thugs that try this. The Romney supporters will call out fraud if Romney looses, but I can’t imagine Romney would try to steal the election.

    Questions I have
    1. Why hasn’t Ben Ben Bernanke been arrested?
    2. Why does the president keep blaming a youtube video for the Benghazi attack?
    3. Why is the president talking about Big Bird instead of Libya? What is he covering up?

Why does the IRS permit businesses to deduct 100% of the cost of the capital equipment that eliminates jobs?

Put a different way, why is the government paying business to fire workers?

Those assembly robots, CNC machining centers, the design software, EZ Pass toll takers and self checkout bar code readers, account for millions of lost jobs, meaning lost revenue in the form of paycheck witholding as well as FICA and medicare deductions. And it’s all paid for by treasury dept. giveaways to the job eliminators. Only our tax code could devise a scheme to use short term lost revenue to guarantee long term lost revenue while killing jobs in the process.

    • Malcolm Reynolds

Even better yet, why do we have an IRS?

      • Mondobeyondo

    # 22–why are so many people being arrested? When you privatize the prisons and let big business build a penitentiary for profit, and also let local law enforcement confiscate (or steal) seized property, then everything is criminalized. It’s also why the war on drugs is so profitable.

Argintina Stops Paying US Debt in US Dollars.

As Argintina’s economy struggles to rebuild itself, it has forbidden the purchase of US Currency. The move is an an attempt to pull much-needed investment back into South America’s second largest economy and not into the “Black Hole” of US Currency. As such, holders of US-denominated debt are being forced to make their interest payments in pesos, which has pushed the yield on Argintina’s Sovereign debt to over 11%. It remains to be seen whether the move by Argintina’s President will help or hurt their economy in the long run, but what is clear is the obvious snub to the world’s “reserve currency”.

The mainstream media should be asking – What happens when foreign nations no longer accept the dollar as the world’s reserve currency?

While your point is well taken, I disagree that the majority of American people are ‘hungry for the truth’. Rather, I think all the fluff, sensationalism, Hollywood glitze and meaningless reality show hype is ALL they want to hear; all distractions from FACING the truth. The American people want only to hear ‘warmth and light’ not the dark, dank painful future that faces us. But….Jim Kunstler made a good point in his Clusterfuck Nation blog: no matter WHO is elected this November, the Reality Party WILL win and force us to face the truth by default. All the mainstream entertainment driven hype and meaningless ‘The Voice’ or “America’s Got Talent’ type shows Hollywood can churn out will not avert the two-by-four between the eyes we are about to receive.

Why isn’t there an investigation into how it was possible for the Republican party to somehow have Libertarian Candidate for President, Gary Johnson, “removed” forthwith from 3 states, including mine? This disenfranchises 3 to 6% of the voters in these three states. I wrote a letter to the editor of our local paper and he complained at me that it was over 100 words long (130). I refused to shorten it and said either print it or don’t; and by the way, why am I doing YOUR jobs since YOU people are supposed to be the “journalists”? YOU should be putting this on the front page of the paper.

(cheep cheep cheep cheep cheep) Crickets.

How about this one? How is it that standing US bankruptcy law can be completely IGNORED and bond holders (1st in line for repayment) totally screwed over, with the Unions (palsies of the Oblabla) getting a portion of the “new” GM and “new” Chrysler? Either we are a nation of laws, or we are not… (and the obvious answer that Michael keeps showing us here is – we are NOT).

How about this one? If the Con-gress can’t even follow their “own” rules (i.e. not putting up laws online for 48 hours; not giving anyone a chance to read them before passing them etc.), then how is it that these “laws” are even valid? (Answer: they are not).

How about this one? With hundreds of thousands of laws on the books, how do we know what law we’ve broken? After all, any cop will inform you “ignorance of the law is no excuse”. Of course, our own “law-maker” haven’t even read them, so they don’t even know what is in them, but they’re excused regularly from any such scrutany by police – am I not right?

Or how about this one? No sane nations are buying our debt anymore, so the Federal Reserve is printing up new money (electronically speaking – out of thin air) and “buying” national debt bonds with “brand new money”. Of course, the “debt” which these bankers pulled out of thin air, will require “real” money to be paid back (to them) WITH INTEREST. Out of the hides of American workers.

If you or I tried that kind of shenangan, we’d be in Federal prison so fast it’d make your head spin. It’s called FRAUD, it’s called COUNTERFEITING, and many other things too.

It’s a disgrace. Our nation has become a 2nd world sh!t hole, Michael, and we’re soon going to find out as a nation what Israel of ancient days went through when they ignored and turned their faces away from God.

We’re also going to find out that the debtor is the slave to the lender.

What would you know about being “Christian”? Commie saboteur blood sucking liberals are responsible for 99% of murders which are abortion. Liberals think nothing of murdering unborn babies or partial birth abortions–absolutely demonic and demented. Liberals want to destroy the family, which is the foundation of society. Liberals want everyone pregnant, illiterate, on welfare, and with free cell phones, freeloading off the few left who will be working. Greedy unionist thugs are typical rabid liberal extortionists chasing American jobs to Asia. German unions work very closely with business and everything is fine.

      • Gay Veteran

And what would you know about being “Christian”? How many unwanted babies have YOU adopted? You “pro-life” people think nothing of enslaving women and forcing them to give birth, and afterwards to don’t give a damn about the baby.

And being anti-union? go ahead and lick that corporate boot

    • And all this information about the Tennessee Congressman came from the far left Huffington Post. I wouldn’t believe anything they say or write.

You support Obamma who enacted the strictest gun control legislation in Illinois history. Liberals don’t want people to be able to defend themselves from rapists, murderers and thieves. In England a man went to jail for fighting off a machete wielding burglar who attacked him in his home. This is what Gary will bring to America.

    A. Will recent research indeed yield a faster-than-light drive?
    B. Will Honey Boo Boo be renewed for another season?

  • Here’s a question: why does the United States still embrace an organization — the United Nations — that wants to reduce the human population of the Earth by 90 percent?

  • Anon

    29. Why do so many people still insist on making this into an issue about which party is in power, or which party should be in power?

This isn’t about blue vs red, left vs right, dem vs rep, socialism or communism vs capitalism. There is no real difference between the parties because they are slaves to the same masters, and their masters are certainly not the everyday American people.

I think of this site as a place where thinking people go to seek some truth, it is sad that even being aware of the urgency of the situation isn’t enough to snap people out of their partisan BS.

    • Malcolm Reynolds

People do generally get that on this site.

People on the right get it and have been working within the system to destroy the republican party ala the Tea Party.

Peole on the left get it and have been working feverishly to keep electing more of the same communists and globalists.

There has only been one recipe for freedom in the entire history of the planet and that was given to us by the Bible and our founders but you’ll NEVER hear a leftist support either of those while they gripe and complain about the same thing they pine for.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

See both of Dave’s responses just below for proof of my ‘People on the left…’

        • Anon

Yes, a lot of people generally do get that on this site, but you don’t appear to be one of them. You just agreed with me that this isn’t about left vs right, then went on to complain about leftists. Do you see that tiny hint of irony there?

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Perhaps you should read more of my comments.

I acknowledge there is almost no difference between the parties.

            Now answer these questions.
Which way have BOTH parties gone? Hint: Its not to the right.

from which side has the entire mess of the past 100 years been driven by? Hint: Its not the right.

In the end, I abhor both parties and I work within the system (ala the Tea Party) to attempt to change it. Leftists on this board sort of recognize it but absolutely REFUSE to critically think beyond that slightest recognition.

In the end, its the evils of uninformed and ignorant leftists and their secular humanist philosophy that have broken the back of this country piece by piece over the past 100+ years. Leftism is antithetical to everything this country used to be. I get it, I just rightfully blame the left.

          • Michael

This is EXACTLY the ignorance of which I speak. You are of course WRONG as usual.

Please cite where the bible says there MUST ABSOLUTELY be slavery.

Please cite slavery in the Constitution. And when you ignorantly cite the 3/5ths clause, please cite Frederick Douglas’s own accurate understanding of the same.

Please cite which party defended slavery and which party it is that believes the US constitution is the primary impediment to implementing their progressive dreams.

Please cite what the founders used more than anything else in their construction of the US Consitution.

I will not argue your point on the as of yet lackluster accomplishments of the Tea Party in general. give it time, it’s still young yet and the sheeple are still falling for the stupidity of the cries of racism, etc. I do however hold up Mike Lee as my State’s Tea Party success.

          • Come On

Frederick Douglass? What power did he have?
Oh and slavery in the US is a settled issue. It was the key economic advantage the US had in getting on its feet as a nation AND it was the original sin that has cost our culture far too much in blood, money, unity and social progress.

What else is there to argue about.

          • Gay Veteran

“Please cite where the bible says there MUST ABSOLUTELY be slavery.”

“you mean the bible that actually got it wrong on slavery?”

Gayveteran, I don’t know exactly what you mean with this remark but let me try to explain what is written in the Bible.

The Bible (in the Old Testament) is quite clear in that God hates slavery. The best example is that the Jews were led out of slavery from Egypt. This is mentioned over and over in the Bible.

Another example is the law that you could hold a fellow Jew for maximum 7 years as your slave. In ancient times, people and their family were put into slavery when they couldn’t pay their debts (so you would think twice before you took on any debt). However, every 7 years there was debt forgiveness (sabbath year), all slaves were to be set free. This would make you think twice before you would make a loan to your neighbour one year before a sabbath year. In short, a nicely balanced system compared to our greed-is-good financial system.

I suggest you read Exodus 21 and 22 to get an idea. These rules may still come across as harsh but at that time it was pure enlightenment compared to other cultures.

          • Michael

And being a “servant” in ancient Israel was far, far different from being a slave in early America.

          • Gay Veteran

“The Bible (in the Old Testament) is quite clear in that God hates slavery. The best example is that the Jews were led out of slavery from Egypt. This is mentioned over and over in the Bible.”

the Jews were led out of slavery, BUT NOT ANYONE ELSE, so god opposed slavery only for Jews

“Why are Mitt Romney signs being smeared with excrement”.

Answer: Because Mitt is lying piece of *************.

    • leonard

your a lying piece of **********, you obama loving communist !

    • Malcolm Reynolds

oooh you certainly got him. Has obama lied to you?

    • Bobby

Dave, he is, but Obama and the left can and do outlie Romney and right, EVERY SINGLE DAY.

    • Nick

Because liberals are hateful ,rabid, bigots who hate democracy and free speech. Vulgar freedom and job destroying blood suckers.

      • Gay Veteran

        stereotype much?

        or more likely, project much?

    • Nick

Obama is destroying the working class with inflation. Liberals are such liers and hypocrites. Obama’s main supporters were Wall Street and people like Corzine whose firm stole over 1 BILLION dollars of their clients money. Fast and Furious ring a bell? Holder is a criminal who enabled a border patrolman to get murdered–all thanks to Obama. And liberals are racists who blocked an investigation into Black Panther intimidation of while voters in Pennsylvania. Pure evil. Don’t forget 500 million dollars of taxpayer money lost in the Solyndra scandal. Obama is a fool. 22% real unemployment if the pre 80s statistical criteria are used. Obama doesn’t include those who have stopped looking–millions–because he doesn’t care.

    • Mondobeyondo

Both candidates are full of **********.
That’s why they look so constipated on TV.

      • DB200

I am afraid you are spot on!

  • Dave

Great article again…Sadly, the reason for the above points is that the ELITE (top tenth of a percent) are controlling both parties and want everyone to be distracted from the real issues. Thanks to this site, people are beginning to wake up!! Just hope its not too late….keep buying gold/silver, even if its small amounts. It will be the only currency left standing!!

  • Why is the FDA supporting and pushing GMO’s? Why are unmarked airplanes dumping Aluminum, Barium and other particulates in our atmosphere? If America is a democracy, why isn’t Ron Paul (the real people’s candidate) here? Why is America fighting Israel’s wars? Why is the government pushing vaccines on our children and corpomedicine on the rest of us? Why is the public more afraid of their own government (false flags) than they are of any so-called terrorists? Why are American schools dumbing down centres? Why are so many of America’s presidents and politicians war criminals guilty of committing crimes against humanity? Why is the government stealing peoples private lands? Why aren’t you advocating for the immediate abolishment of the Federal Reserve and its IRS army of extortionists? Why is the US navy killing the seas with Sonar? Why are you destroying the stratosphere with HAARP? Why is the US government pushing Nuclear Power Generation at home and abroad when cold fusion is a safe alternative for power generation which exists today?

  • Keira

You forgot three questions of vital importance:
-Why chemtrail spray planes are leaving day and night in the sky and poisoning the air we breathe, water, food and everything alive and why most people are benighted and dumbing down and screams loud and clear : “NO TO CHEMTRAILS! ¡¡ NO TO GENOCIDAL!?

-Another vital question: why commit the crime of poisoning drinking water supplies with toxic fluorine, chlorine, etc?

-Why do we allow the government unholy alliance with Big Pharma to impose on the poor innocent children that unnecessary vaccines, supertóxicas, containing, among other poisons aluminum, mercury (thimerosal) etc, etc, and leave them horribly wrong your health?

Please pass trough this message to all your family and friends.

Why absolutely no mention what so ever about Monsanto. Banned in foreign countries, rats with horrendous tumors, cattle herds all dead from eating Monsanto corn, Monsanto fighting hard & spending millions in numerous law suits and Monsanto is even sueing Vermont I believe.

One more thing, when did 11 cases of any illness turn into a CDC Health Emergency as an Epidemic. (I thought it would require many more deaths to qualify as an epidemic).

People, they are still using fear to control us. Stop taking it. Laugh at them. It is high time to begin to change your lives and while doing that, clean out the garbage, there is a lot of garbage.

  • Douglas Gray

A recent study of the U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan reveal that only about 50 high level operatives have been taken out, along with 168 children who have been killed by these strikes. Is killing, on average three children for each high level terrorist morally and ethically justified? It would be wonderful if this question could be put to both Presidential Candidates during the second debate.

  • Bobby

Sure, I have one. Why in this economy does the U.S. import one-million people a year, and give illegal foreign nationals from Mexico and other nations, every thing under the sun, including jobs, social services and standing in this country, often greater than American citizens. In California for instance, a three strikes law is in effect on CITIZENS, BUT ILLEGAL FOREIGN NATIONALS ARE EXEMPT. The cops wont’ even bother with their criminality, etc.

  • Bobby

Here’s another question. Why does every government building in California, every store, and every fricking product in a supermarket have to have Spanish as a second language? This has been an English speaking country for over two hundred years, and it seems Americans from everywhere in the world have been just fine with it. What’s going on?

    • Ghulam

Why is it Bobby that Americans are willing to support Israel to the tune of many hundreds of billions of dollars on the basis of dubious land claims going back 2000 years and yet you object to Mexicans with land claims every bit as legitimate and only going back less than 200 years having the right to maintain their language? They are in fact not making any claims but securing recognition for the language that was the lingua franca in California until very recently and which a substantial portion of the population of that state, stolen from Mexico not long ago, do speak today.

The day when Anglos were gods free to take over most of North America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Ceylon, Ireland, etc, etc. they seem to be drawing to a close. None of the periods of Viking control in the Mediterranean lasted very long either. The coming financial bubble catastrophe will offer grand theatre for those at a safe distance as New York and London are brought low. We can already taste the bitterness in the air in every current encounter with American and British arts, the cynicism, the death fixations. Lance Armstrong is a fitting symbol of American achievement on all fronts during their brief time in power; better living through chemistry.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

“object to Mexicans with land claims every bit as legitimate and only going back less than 200 ”

Which lands are those? You mean the country founded after this one? You mean the country whose lands were no more legitimately acquired than this country’s? You mean the country that either sold or lost because their mouths were writing checks their backsides couldn’t cash?

        Just go read it yourself.

    • Mondobeyondo

      1) California is very close to Mexico
      2) Mexicans consider California part of their territory (yes, even after the Mexican-American War)
      3) Mexicans want to take over Hollywood

    • Come On

The argument against having gov documents in other languages ALONG with English is pretty bratty. English speakers can still navigate what they need to navigate and the additional costs of including other languages is worth it to ensure full inclusion of all citizens. That’s the point right; the whole point of the US? To have everybody included, all voices heard and everybody has a chance to do what they will with the level playing field? Or do you really believe the original intention of the US is toward bitter, isolationist scaredy-cats who are afraid of everything they don’t understand? And so our society is driven by all of the reactions to that perceived fear and that’s why we shoot each other so often, say hateful things and look for reasons to stand apart from one another.

  • Popeye

The MSM could also ask, what ever happened to free press in this country? Investigative journalism?

  • David Sheridan

Why does the federal government treat someone who commits a few hundred dollars in food stamp fraud more harshly than someone who commits tens of millions of dollars in mortgage fraud or medicare fraud?

  • Jeffrey Wolenski

    14. How in the world can you have a debate about the economy that lasts for an hour and a half and never even mention Ben Bernanke, the Federal Reserve or quantitative easing? Or our massive trade deficit?

  • MvM

Have you guys seen the articles lately? It’s all about how the country is heading towards a disaster and that Washington isn’t doing anything at all about the problem. I have the feeling that very soon the One World Order will be at hand, otherwise, the liberal whacko website that it is, wouldn’t normally post such dire topics.

Meanwhile, the stupid, fat Canadians I know think everything is in a recovery, haha. It’s funny how Canadians make fun of Americans when they are just as stupid and fat themselves. Traveling to other countries during this depression has sure opened my eyes to how stupid people are in general all over then planet.

    • MvM

Meant to say New World Order in my comment, but I guess it’s the same thing — New World, One World, sorry about the typo.

      • Mondobeyondo

I think you meant to say “New World Odor”. Hehe.
        Yes, the whole concept stinks.

  • bmn

Why did the EPA send officers armed with automatic weapons into Gibson Guitars, in Nashville, shut down the company, confiscate their inventory, and attempt to put a fine, upstanding small American company out of business?
    Were they terrorists?’
Were they making atomic bombs in the basement?

Will candidate Romney pledge to find out who all the federal personnel were on this raid, from the very top to the very bottom, and FIRE them all? And make sure they never work in government again? Will he be willing to make a commitment that says that any
federal official who sees it as his mission to “crucify” American businesses, is fired?

    • Patrick M.

This had something to do with Gibson illegally importing some endangered wood product from Africa or something like that.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

        “Gibson illegally importing ”

Which they promptly proved false. In addition, they promptly proved this administration was enforcing Indian law, not American law.

        • Come On

The US is in treaties it has to honor. Balancing US interests with allied interests is the heart of diplomacy. Don’t overreact.

  • Christie

    Why don’t they cover this:

  • Why don’t they cover what’s really happening regarding money in and money out (the economy) of the United States?

  • Jeremy

strange that you complain the MSM does not talk about these issues even while you provide direct links to said issues on msm websites.

  • Mondobeyondo

Why don’t they cover ANYTHING that actually matters?

Walter Cronkite… oh, how we miss you…

  • 29. Why were 97% of the world’s climate scientists ignored by government, the media, AND THIS LIST, and vilified by a major political party gone almost completely anti-science?

  • Mondobeyondo

Another decent news source is the Daily Mail (U.K.)

Why do I like it? Because the Beatles mentioned it in “Paperback Writer”:

“It’s a dirty story of a dirty man
And his scheming wife doesn’t understand
His son is working for the Daily Mail
It’s a steady job, but he wants to be a paperback writer…”

No, that’s not the real reason I like the Daily Mail. It’s because it’s not totally celebrity gossip trash. They often do break some major news stories. And much of what they publish (at least online) isn’t found in most U.S. news outlets.

But it does have its share of celebrity gossip trash. If you want to know Lindsay Lohan’s bra size, or Justin Bieber’s shoe size, I’m sure you can find it there somewhere.

  • BFH

Want to know why this nation is faltering? Just read the comments. People of like minds can’t even get along!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Alan

Do you all really live in democratic societies in the west?

  • Come On

The amount spent on the Royal family versus the Obamas is a red herring. We change our head of state & head of government every four or eight years. Every element of security is refreshed, changed, updated and improved at least each time. The Royals aren’t the head of government and the family only changes with divorces, marriages and births. This is a huge false equivalency argument. Don’t let silly fake arguments like this distract you.

  • LordRhynn

It’s stuff like that that continue to get rating however. I for one don’t believe the people want truth. Those who demand truth don’t do so gradually. Over time. There is only “this is not the truth”, and an immediate effort to remedy such.

  • Walks-In-Storms

Everyone, please look up the logical fallacies of composition and division. Even were you to prove that one Democrat (or Republican) is a liar or reprobate otherwise, it would prove absolutely nothing about the rest. And even if it could be shown that most Republicans – or rich men (and women), or poor men, or men who don’t care, one couldn’t use the statistic to prove any one or more Republicans (or Democrats) were lying.

Come on, people – that most of you are going to vote, knowing damned near nothing about useful debate principles and reasoning, and absolutely (unless the media has somehow failed in its efforts with you, that is) nothing about the issues, is damned scary for one like me. I’ve been helping pay for this countries parasite government and constituents all my life, more taxes than most people will earn in total during ALL their lives, and I’m damned tired of it.

THINK! Even as bad as you are at it, it might at least help a little.
