If A Few Ebola Cases Can Make The Stock Market Crash This Much, What Would A Full-Blown Pandemic Mean?

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Stock Market Crash Ebola - Public DomainIs Ebola going to cause another of the massive October stock market crashes that Wall Street is famous for?  At one point on Wednesday, the Dow was down a staggering 460 points.  It ultimately closed down just 173 points, but this was the fifth day in a row that the Dow has declined.  And of course Ebola is one of the primary things that is being blamed for this stunning stock market drop.  Since September 19th, we have seen the S&P 500 fall about 7 percent and the Nasdaq fall nearly 10 percent.  The VIX (the most important measure of volatility on Wall Street) shot up an astounding 22 percent on Wednesday.  So many of the ominous signs for the markets that I wrote about on Tuesday are now even worse.  If a handful of Ebola cases in the United States can cause this much panic in the financial world, what would a full-blown pandemic look like?

Of course Ebola is not the only reason why stocks are declining.  Just look at what is happening over in Europe.  The European Stoxx 600 index is already down a whopping 11.4 percent from the high that it hit just 18 days ago.  That is officially considered to be “correction” territory.

And Greece experienced a full-blown stock market collapse on Wednesday

As if the world didn’t have enough to be worried about (ISIS, Ebola, slowing China, Ukraine, slowing Germany, Fed tightening, etc.) now look what’s back: Greece. And in a big way.

The stock market is down over 9% on Wednesday, which is about as big as crashes come.

And the banks are getting absolutely smashed.

In general, markets tend to fall faster than they rise.

When there is a sudden downturn, the price action can be violent.  And just like we saw back in 2008, financial stocks are leading the way.  Just check out what happened to some of the biggest banks in America before the final bell sounded…

Volume leader Bank of America, down 5%, Citigroup, off 5.5%, and JP Morgan, down 4.6%, were particularly hard hit.

And thanks to Ebola fears, airline stocks plummeted as well

Airline stocks were roiled by the prospects of curtailed travel due to the spreading Ebola virus. United Continental fell 4% and American Airlines was off 4.3%. Among tech stocks, Intel lost 3.3%. Apple fell 1.7% and Microsoft slipped 2.3%.

An increasing number of voices are concerned that we could be on the verge of a repeat of what happened back in 2008.

For example, Professor Steve Keen, the head of Economics, History & Politics at Kingston University in London, wrote the following in a piece for CNN entitled “Brace yourself for another financial crash“…

My acceleration indicator has been flagging that the stock market was due for a fall since mid-2013.

It’s a tribute to the power of the Fed’s Quantitative Easing that the market continued to defy the gravity of decelerating debt for so long. QE was really a program to inflate asset prices since, as my colleague Michael Hudson puts it, “the Fed’s helicopter money fell on Wall Street, not Main Street”.

But with QE being unwound, the stock market is now back under the control of the not so tender mercies of excessive private debt.

So welcome to the New Crisis — same as the Old Crisis. The roller coaster ride is likely to continue.

Others are even more pessimistic.  For example, just check out what Daniel Ameduri of Future Money Trends recently told his readers

“If it drops below 15,000 points I would suggest people start buying food and ammo, because this depression is about to turn nasty.”

However, keep in mind that not that much has really changed from a month or two ago.

Yes, we now have had three confirmed cases of Ebola in the United States, but this could be just the beginning.

At first, the fear of Ebola will be worse than the disease.

But if a worst-case scenario does develop in the United States where hundreds of thousands of people are getting the virus, the fear such a pandemic will create will be off the charts.

In the midst of a full-blown Ebola pandemic, we wouldn’t just be talking about a 10 percent, 20 percent or 30 percent stock market decline.

Rather, we would be talking about the greatest stock market collapse in the history of stock market collapses.  In essence, there would not be much of a market at all at that point.

And if Ebola does start spreading wildly in this country, we would have a credit crunch that would make 2008 look like a Sunday picnic.

During times of extraordinary fear, financial institutions do not want to lend money to each other or to consumers.  But our economy is entirely based on debt.  If credit were to stop flowing, we would essentially not have an economy.

That is why we need to pray that this Ebola crisis stops here.  But thanks to the incompetence of Barack Obama and the CDC, there has been a series of very grave errors in trying to contain this disease.  This display of incompetence would be absolutely hilarious if we weren’t talking about a disease that could potentially kill millions of us.

Let us hope for the best, but let us also prepare for the worst.  That means stocking up on the food and supplies that you will need to stay isolated for an extended period of time.  As we have seen so many times in the past, basic essentials fly off of store shelves during any type of an emergency.  During an extended Ebola pandemic, those essentials would be in very short supply and prices on the basics would absolutely skyrocket.  Those that have taken the time to get prepared now will be way ahead of the game.

And if there were dozens or hundreds of people in your community that were contagious, you would definitely not want to go to a grocery store or anywhere else where large numbers of people circulate.

The key during any major pandemic is to keep yourself and your family isolated from the virus.  This is basic common sense, but it is something that Barack Obama does not seem to understand.  As I write this, he still has not done anything to restrict air travel between the United States and West Africa.  Hopefully this very foolish decision will not result in scores of dead Americans.

My friend if ebola spreads outside of Texas, as few as fifty cases would greatly change people behavior. If any cases occur in the schools, at 100 cases, there will be few if any children left in schools. At 200 cases health care providers would mostly be staying at home. At 300 cases most people who jobs deal with the general public, would be staying at home. At just 500 cases, the economy would collapse. Those numbers are based on a paper I worked on, many years ago. With the internet, it could be even sooner. So you see a pandemic, is not even needed.

    • alan

I think you are right. The media has hyped this so much, people are terrified and if a few more cases pop up people will start to freak out.

I work in Korea and I don’t see anything in the news here about Ebola. I spent 10 days in the Philippines last month, same thing nothing in the news.

      • Bill

What would we do without CNN 24 hour coverage?

      • DarienX

Because there ar no cases there, nor do they have massive international travel to/from.

    • Guest

“At 300 cases most people who jobs deal with the general public, would be staying at home.”

I will be. I have no idea where our customers are from or where they have been. And that has been making me uneasy lately.

      • Mudpie

Thanks also to a govt. that dictates how we live but now cannot even provide the basic functions spelled out in the Constitution (relating to security and border control).

        • laura m.

This is why I tell people voting has been useless for decades, as politicians are bums, never had to work for a living. They live of the people doing nothing to benefit the citizens. We are turning into a third world hell hole. If we have no stable gov. now, what will it be like in six months. All flights need to be stopped as many say on mainline news, yet no one listens in the CDC or the loser president. This is planned agenda to kill of large numbers of people world wide.

    • neal

I think I would still go to work at 300 cases. That of course depends if many of those cases were in my city.Even at several times that number I would still go to work if I could take precautions like not having to touch anything. Reality is you are still more likely to catch a fatal dose of the flu until ebola is into the thousands of cases.
I’d use that several weeks of work to finance the many months of basics that I would be adding to my bug in stocks. Once the risk is unacceptable then I would bug in for as long as necessary for the waves of mutating ebola strains to finally end (assuming that it does end and not become permanent).
The risk is that every few weeks another batch of bug out people will emerge due to exhausted supplies and become infected. This could take a long time until herd immunity makes the remaining bug out people safe to emerge.

      • Mudpie

We’re buying chlorine tablets today and also enough food to last for a month. As well as a toilet system. Not too expensive, just a simple precaution.

    • Priszilla

No. People who don’t get paid sickleave will still go to work until they get carried away.

      • K

There will be some, who do that. But our findings were, even people who were willing to put their life at risk. Were not willing to risk, taking it home to their families.

I think he is trying to cause a depression!
      Two things would happen.
First, like at the end of the civil war. The carpet baggers descended from the north and bought up all of the south. Plantations ect, from southerners who could not pay the taxes.
This time it would be the Chinese from the north that would buy up large everything in this country. I.E. all farmland national forests some industries. The Russians would love to buy up our steel industries and oil. also a few other countries.
2nd. Like at the end of WW2 we split Germany up into three different countries controlled by other nations.
This would totally destroy the country by making sure that we never again raise an army and dominate the world.
And of course they would use all of our debit to do this. Our government would be able to reduce outstand debt by about 10-15 trillion dollars.
Of course the new Chinese citizens would vote for president Obama. Since he was so helpful to both communist countries.

    • jaxon64

I would have to disagree with these “findings” you have made. I, my wife, 3 sisters, 1 daughter and hundreds of colleagues— I have discussed this scenario with many, many of them and almost to a person we have all agreed to hold fast in our duty to care for the sick.

I find it quite insulting–even the insinuation, that there is so little dedication within the medical community “At 200 cases health care providers would mostly be staying at home

“”…this is ridiculous. AIDS has killed tens of millions and we weren’t locking ourselves away…likewise almost universally healthcare workers manned their jobs during historic pandemics.
K, I most often agree with you and you may very well be right concerning parents isolating children or waitresses and stewardesses staying home–but this is what we signed up for when we got our licenses and chose this profession of care and compassion…..

      • K

You and your relatives may indeed make that decision. But the majority will not. And considering your comparison. I have to question, if you are not a troll. You compare aids to ebola. Are you insane? Aids is actually very hard to catch, and a minimum of precautions will let you avoid it. Not so with ebola. So what kind of health care provider are you, that you do not know better? These are the kinds of things, that would be posted. To distract people from the truth.

        • jaxon64

Troll? I have been at this site and others for years before you ever posted your first reply.
Spanish Flu saw tens of thousands of VOLUNTEER medical personel and nurses and it is every bit as virulent as ebola. This strain is very unusual in the longer incubation period than other ebola outbreaks ( which makes its spread more likely) but it appears to be approximately only 50% as deadly as the original strain from Zaire in the 1970’s. I was living here in the DC area in the late 70’s early 1980’s when the fiasco at Reston, VA laboratories occurred and spread fear here and caused the complete abandonment of that building. I have a long memory of this virus–I am also well aware of the nature of this virus–and any hemorhagic disease including Marburg’s–to be more destructive to healthy immune systems as it propogates within healthy immune systems–this is why organs liquify and people bleed out because of compromise within their lymphatic systems.
Having said this, I am well aware of the risks–you may insult those of us who will risk our lives for the care of others. You may call me a troll because of my integrity to stand by the honor and commitment I have made to care for my fellow man.
If there is a pandemic and I am forced to treat the infected ( I am in neuro pathology so I most likely would never lay hands on an infectious pt) I won’t be going home at night to my family or getting visits from my granddaughter until weeks after the final pt is treated, but I–and almost all others I have discussed this with–will do what we have been trained and CALLED to do.
Medicine is not just a job, it is most often a calling. Most do not start in this field, acrue massive debt and years of education for financial gain ( trust me-except for a few fly-by surgeons, most of us have no life)..we do this because we CARE ABOUT PEOPLE. Most of my colleagues are deeply conservative, mostly christian ( at least the americans) and deeply devoted to doing for others.
Shame on you for your false admonitions…but you are free to believe as you wish, there will be those who stay home, but not “most”. There are still pockets of good left in America–
PS: how is it that you are always the first to post on every article? If there is anyone whose legitimacy raises questions it would appear to be you…

          • K

No point in arguing. We will see who is right soon enough. For the record I hope you are right. That everyone will stay at their post. But this is not 1918, and I doubt it. As to my legitimacy,I will let my fellow posters decide.

          • jaxon64

Nobody is arguing about the very real horror of ebola…you just won’t man up and admit that some study you did ( link please? and data with scientific trials please? or some precedent for your hypotheses?) or allude to is purely hypothetical and is insulting…I guess when in war when soldiers are outnumbered that the vast majority throw down weapons and run and hide when faced with possible death?…how about police/firemen during things like the LA riots etc—they still went to do their duties in the face of very real dangers…
I would be sorely disappointed in what is left of the America I once knew if good people all cowardly, shirked their sworn duties to cower in their homes…..

I think at the moment its the other way around. Ebola scare is to cover wall street and the bankers.

  • Bill

The imposter has a hidden agenda of destruction that was formed in his college days. No wonder there is no leadership for what America needs. Ebola is a catalyst in a tank full of trouble that will soon boil over no matter what the ingredients.

    • watchmanonthetower

And it’s not even the imposter’s idea! He doesn’t possess enough continuously-firing neurons to manage such a scheme; let alone concoct this devious plot.

Barry & Company are following the orders of their NWO masters. It’s seems so obvious now; veils have slipped, their shady intentions bared to those with eyes to see…

And the quivering hammer must be close to falling: Barry and his minions don’t even seem to care that their actions are inciting national outrage. Probably what they want; they’ve been Nudging us for years. Research The Nudge Theory (and that shining sleazeball, Cass Sunstein) for more enlightenment.

      • Bill

Yes I’m well aware of the connection with Cass. Too bad many millions don’t know what his presence in the picture means.

      • laura m.

Yet the churches remain silent, as they are brainwashing tools of the NWO and controlled by the IRS 501c3 agenda. Leave them now folks, have home church, or form small groups. This IRS control is unconstitutional and people should have rejected it in 1954. Hitler and Russian dictators decades ago used the churches to gain power. Congressmen have been gelded and muzzled. Useless politicians is why I don’t vote.

        • watchmanonthetower

          “… brainwashing tools…”

Just so, Laura. Evil intertwines easily in institutions when strong delusion enters…

Ever peer inside a mechanical wristwatch or clock? A collection of gears, cogs and linkage is generally what you’ll discover. And like the interconnected relationship of the components in a clock, Barry & Company are but a bridging gear for the Elite’s destructive machinery. And the ceaseless countdown continues until the final second before the endgame concludes.

          Prepare…or perish.

If we only have 10 or so cases in October, there will be no huge stock market crash this month – that is not more than a 10 to 15 percent correction. The Fed will not allow it before the elections on November 4th. However, should there be 50 to 100 cases or more by October 29th, then look for a Halloween massacre of the stock markets world wide. It will be Katy bar the door and there is no telling how big the descent would be.

  • grumpyhillbilly

I’ve finally decided where I come down on the argument between conspiracy and incompetence. Its incompetence peppered with an over abundance of arrogance. Right now you’re witnessing the elite’s dog and pony show (aka government, stock market, news media, healthcare system) taking a huge hit in confidence amongst the little people. It’d be nice if team democrat vs team gop charade were finally laid to rest. Other than than the rest of the various systems will have a snowball effect on all of us. In general the professional classes have been failing this country for decades. They’ve no where to hide with Ebola. They look like the parroting educated idiots they’ve been train to be since tenure’s inception. My hillbilly advice – sunshine is your immune system friend. Vitamins are a good backup.

    • Guest

“My hillbilly advice – sunshine is your immune system friend.”

I agree. But now that summer is over here in the northern hemisphere and the sun is getting lower and lower in the sky, you’ll get little if any Vitamin D from sun exposure. Furthermore, many of us are stuck inside all day at our jobs. So a Vitamin D3 supplement is the next best option. Or a Vitamin D lamp if you can afford one. (Check out the Sperti Lamp.)

    • Drud

I totally agree with your assessment of the “elites” in this country and throughout the world. They are not super-genius arch villains like so many people seem to think. They are powerful but blind, arrogant, ego-maniacal and often psychotic, with no more ability to predict the future than the rest of us. As for the two party system, I recently filled out my mail-in ballot. I admit, I knew virtually none of the names on it (I have very little interest in the dog-and-pony show that is politics in this country), so what I did was to vote for zero incumbents and only 1 member of the two major parties (There were only 2 candidates for that race). I felt like it was just a small piece of protest against an oppressive system, but then I thought what if a bunch of people did the exact same thing, what if a bunch of 3rd party/unaffiliated candidates actually won? I doubt it, but it was a small moment of hope for a peaceful solution to the mess we’re in.

  • Bill

As many new accusations come out Drudge says one word, “self-quarantine”. It certainly makes sense as the staff at the Dallas hospital speak out on the absurd lack of protocol for such a critical situation. I wonder if Drudge is proposing a quarantine for the patient or a voluntary one for those who don’t want to be patients? I can’t think of a faster way to tank stocks and the whole economy.

    • Bella_Fantasia

Hi, David Chu. Possibly whatever is happening with the stock market has nothing to do with Ebola. That link you posted showing how there was a “rehearsal” for the next economic crash over Columbus Day might be more in line with what’s coming. (I did really appreciate that link 🙂 Also there was something in July called the Global Economic Reset, which was mysterious (for us chickens). The market probably knows more about it. And, of course, there’s always the potential for the October Surprise.

      • The stock markets are an emotional gauge on greed and fear. #Ebola2 can cause the fear factor to overtake the greed factor, and cause a Great Market Crash.

        • Bella_Fantasia

For a moment I forgot how irrational investors are. Thanks for reminding me, David Chu. Anything that overrides the greed, will be welcome, although I highly doubt empathy will replace the greed, unfortunately.

The ebola virus is a dream come true for the fascist bankster junta that controls the Third World cesspool known as The Banana Republic of America. When dissenters are imprisoned in the FEMA camps, the banksters will be able to use ebola to slaughter them without having to use any bullets. Plus, an ebola crisis will give the junta an excuse to crack down even more on civil liberties. Is the junta really that evil? Yes, they are. This is a banana republic where the goon squad gets away with things like tossing stun grenades into a baby’s crib and blowing bedridden 92-year-old women to pieces, and where it’s unsafe to carry large amounts of cash because the PFRBA (Poliziotti Fascisti della Republica Banana d’America) can legally steal it.

“When you get into deeper globalist documents, they plan to kill down to 1%. Now, I don’t know that they’ll ever even do that. That’s just what they talk about, and they tend to try whatever they talk about.”—Alex Jones

“Police today are not accountable. If a teenage girl sasses them, they just beat her to bits. They bodyslam elderly people. They taser and beat amputees in wheelchairs. Increasingly, people who go into police work for the right reasons find themselves surrounded by psychopaths and sociopaths and are forced out.”—Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

“The police are out of control. They’ve lost it. They’re killing old people, they’re killing dogs. This is fascism, the merger of state and corporate power. And I believe they’ll use a false flag to clamp down on our rights even more and keep us in place.”—Gerald Celente

Bingo. Signore Celente nails it as usual. As the empire crumbles, the junta will tighten their chokehold even more in the name of “national security” or “public safety.” The junta is salivating over ebola.

We’ve heard of TWO ‘official’ cases of ebola here in the US. There could be hundreds, possibly thousands of cases incubating right now. Not that not EVERYONE is coming down with ebola in West Africa. And of those that do, not everyone is DYING.

Why don’t we discuss this from a different angle for a while? Let’s assume the worst and we experience a widespread outbreak here at home. For various reasons, some have stronger immune systems than others. Those reasons could be hereditary, diet, stress, environment and so forth.

Most of this we can control. Especially diet. Now, I know this will invoke roars from the meat & potato crowd, but still, this is well worth considering. Do all you can to strengthen your IMMUNE SYSTEM.

We just saw a documentary on Frontline today – “The Trouble With Antibiotics.” (See link below.) It’s about antibiotics in our store-bought meat. Now, hear me out.. I’m NOT saying don’t eat meat!! That’s between you and God or the man on the moon, if you prefer. I’m just saying, if you must eat flesh food, eat organic!

The amount of antibiotics they’re pumping into these animals just staggers the imagination. (Not to go into other horrors I could tell you about.) They are finding disturbing correlations between those things pumped in animals, and what appears in our bodies.

This info certainly isn’t new to me. Folks who have come down with HIV have focused on their immune system and have pushed back the symptoms. I have a friend who beat cancer in this very way, without chemo, surgery, etc.

Some radical change in diet and exercise will radically rebuild and fortify your immune system. Talk about prepping! Of course, some could die from ebola, anyway. Each person is a walking chemical factory, and as such, is uniquely different from the next person. That’s one reason why we react son differently to meds & things. BUT, we can certainly increase our CHANCES for resistance and survival if we make the immune system our study. Your thought?

    • Born Again

You are 100% right. I am 47 years old and just recently I changed my diet; eating less and less meat, avoiding sugar as much as possible, avoiding wheat products as much as possible and using all sorts of spices in my home cooked food. Started swimming 70 laps in the pool every day and riding bike.
After two months I feel changes in my body, in my joints, in my muscles, in my brain, better attention to details, better concentration on all levels, better resistance to stress, better sleep, good hearth beat, healthy appetite etc.

      • Firstgarden

I’ve been a vegetarian several times since youth. I am presently one. For me, it’s a lot easier not to eat any meat than to think about what chickens are free range, who was pumped up with steroids, growth hormones, antibiotics, GMO corn feed, ad infinitum ad nauseum.

They’ve even been been known to put CONCRETE in their feed, according to studies by natural hygienist Harvey Diamond, author of “Fit For Life.” Not to go into chicken guts and God knows what else. Nope, I get plenty of protein elsewhere. I wanna live.

        • Tim

“Fit For Life” was the first health book I read about 20 years ago when I began my search for better health. I was a vegetarian for a number of years after reading that book. I’m not a vegetarian today and have not been for many years. Reading “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration” by Dr. Weston Price is what caused me to give up vegetarianism.

Harvey and Marilyn Diamond divorced many years ago. I read years ago that Harvey went back to eating animal products. I don’t know if that’s still true of him. I perused his latest book at the bookstore a while back, and I got the impression that he was back to advocating a plant-based diet. Marilyn, on the other hand, is not a vegetarian today. In her latest book, “Young For Life”, co-authored with husband Donald Schnell, she tells how her health failed after many years on a strict vegetarian diet. She now advocates a diet that includes clean animal products.

          • Firstgarden

Yes I was aware of the sad ending of their marriage. Vegetarianism is not for everyone. But survivalism should be.

          • Tim

What’s remarkable about Harvey Diamond is that he’s still around. He was exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam, yet he’s close to 70 now.

          • K2

Vegetarianism means not necessarily excluding eggs and/or milk too. Did they happen do that, i am not familiar with them?

I keep up with Harvey, etc since their first book in the ’80’s. I am a blood type B and they are meat eaters. I got run down eating a type A veg. diet. Agree with you, perhaps type A’s can get away with not eating meats. I stress to folks over fifty, to eat less meat , dairy portions and go hvy on veg/fruits, eat greek yogurt, almonds, other nuts (not peanuts or cashews).

        • laura m.

I admire anyone who has discipline to be a veg. I tried it several times, and got run down. I am not into eating beans. but eat yogurt and cheese, nuts and fish. However, there is no proof that veg. live longer as I had some aunts and knew of others, that died around 100 who were not health conscious like you and me. I don’t like the drugs given to livestock. There is organic meats available.

Ebola is more virulent to the stronger and those with the healthiest immune systems. It thrives and feeds upon the immune system and antibodies within the human body–this is why the result is hemorrhagic and the fatality rate is so high.
This strain is actually much weaker than prior strains which had 90+% mortality rates..
just some info, for what it’s worth.

      • Firstgarden

You’re the first one I’ve heard say this. It’s contrary to everything I’ve read thus far. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but, could you please tell us your sources?

  • LOL

First of all Ebola is not cause for this market correction, it is falling due to correction in oil price.
Second, malaria is still killing half a million people annually and nobody is saying anything and it is not “concern”.
Michael I think it is time you take vacation and relax brain in some nice place for week or two.

    • Priszilla

Lassa haemorrhaging fever claims 5000 lives every year. Look it up. the same virus class as Marburg and ebola. Ebola is a media hype exploited by the WHO to get urgently needed funds.

The normal garden variety of the flu kills 10, 000 a year in the USA alone.
      Bullets kill 30, 000.

        • Priszilla

Viruses also don’t multiply themselves. Viruses always need living cells for multiplication. The difference is that the production of viruses does the destruction of the cells.

          • Firstgarden

Thanks for the clarification, but that’s all besides the point. Regardless to HOW they multiply, they DO multiply, and bullets do not.

            Now, please answer the question:

It sounds like you are saying that ebola is just media hype. Is that what you are saying?

          • Priszilla

No, viruses DO NOT multiply. They are copied by cells.

The general public has seen too many sensationalized movies. Yes Ebola is serious, but it isn’t even airborne, unlike the flu. This is going to be a speed bump in the time line, not some global pandemic that kills millions. Nothing more than headline fodder for the news outlets. A vaccine is forthcoming.

    • Tom

The flu and ebola share similar symptoms . Flu and cold season is coming up. If the flu hits hard and ebola continues to show up in the US, I could see some real problems at hospitals and doctor’s offices. What if someone who thinks they have the flu actually has ebola and goes into a crowded doctor’s office or hospital? Wait times will be longer and there’s a better chance of spreading the disease.
What if someone who has the flu believes they have ebola? How many people would be placed into a quarantine area with possible Ebola victims? When it’s discovered they have the flu, what will be done with those people?
Stay far away from hospitals and doctor’s offices. You may be doing more harm than good

      • FortuneSeek3rz

There is what’s called a rapid flu test hospital labs can do that come back in thirty minutes. Then they can send out a test for Ebola if the flu test is negative. Soon there will be a rapid test for Ebola also.

I really hate to don the tinfoil hat, but I just have to put it out there. For what it’s worth here’s my conspiracy theory:

Ebola and the recent market downturn are one in the same.

Namely a “controlled collapse” engineered by the powers that be, elites, illuminatti, lizard kings..whatever you want to call them.

Consider. They have known for sometime that something has to give. Either the USD reserve currency status or the market. Printing dollars leads to a devalued dollar.

So the lesser of two evils is allowing the market to collapse while retaining the world reserve currency.

But what to do when the market tanks? Let the whole country become Ferguson, Missouri?

Of course not. Controls need to be put in place.

Notice how every 50point drop in the markets coincides with an escalation in ebola panic?

This is not co-incidental but in fact by design. The market will continue to plunge as it does expect travel bans, roving tanks, and militarized police on every corner.

    • GSOB

Another possibility, is … you are wrong.
      But, it makes sense.

Could be that God is rolling out a judgment.

Look at what’s sweeping our nation with the issue of marriage and abortion…

Look what happened, the narrative of the global deluge and ask why?

      That makes sense to.

Look what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah… I mean,…

Peter mentions that God destroyed the adults and children of Sodom because the former were ungodly, unprincipled and lawless.

It is not known which “abominations” occurred in Sodom, but it could conceivably have been same-gender sexual activity.

Let all of us grope for God, ask of Him, plead for forgiveness, cleansing and protection. Seriously.

Lift up prayers for Nina and Amber.

Ask of Him for His salvation,.. a recovery of our land and to shelter us from the storm, so that we may worship him with gratitude this holiday season.

The judgment day has started. People unfortunately will be taking Brittany Maynard’s path off the planet.

This is all about nanotechnology and keeping the public from knowing the evil plans of bio warfare and viral pandemics. The U.S. government is very cleverly brainwashing the public to insure our dominance over Russia, China, and other threats. Malaysian mh370 and possibly mh 17 were carrying several researchers of nanotechnology and microbiology. Also since 2004 some 100 very prominent microbiologists have died in untimely, unnatural ways most working for u.s. government to research bio warfare. Nanosilver is predominantly found in Africa. The u.s. government is desperately trying to horde oil and warfare technology to remain top dog in a new world order scenario. Or I am way off I dunno maybe I should get on Facebook or download a new app, and get my Ebola vaccine.

The “Black Swans” are coming home to roost…

What are you hiding from us!?

      • Firstgarden

        Maybe he means this?..

A Black Swan event is an event in human history that was unprecedented and unexpected at the point in time it occurred. However, after evaluating the surrounding context, domain experts (and in some cases even laymen) can usually conclude: “it was bound to happen”. Even though some parameters may differ (such as the event’s time, location, or specific type), it is likely that similar incidences have had similar effects in the past.

The term Black Swan originates from the (Western) belief that all swans are white because these were the only ones ACCOUNTED for. However, in 1697 the Dutch explorer Willem de Vlamingh discovered black swans in Australia. This was an unexpected event in (scientific) history and profoundly changed zoology. After the black swan were discoverd, it seemed obvious that black swans had to exist just as other animals with varying colors were known to exist as well. In retrospect, the surrounding context (i.e., the observations about other animals) seemed to imply the Black Swan assumption – empirical evidence validated it.

Ebola will spread because I think the entire thing is planned.
I do not dispute the authorities when they say it is by direct contact with fluids. What I do see is facts. It is spreading somehow despite everything the “experts” say.
So looking at this like an old fashioned flu epidemic seems to be a valid point. That would mean this virus is very contageous and will spread rapidly from the very small beginnings.
Like all good liars, this President is believing his own lies. So when they put it out there that it won’t spread that fast they actually think they are telling you the truth.
They may even be right. But somehow this thing is spreading a lot better than anyone in authority thinks it will.
Closing down transportation is a disaster waiting to happen. But the fact is that up to 200-300 people may be on a closed eco system on a plane. They immediately go home to their families. If just 1 person is infected, that spreads to that person’s family, their children and wives, then it can spread very fast and everyone might think it is just a flu bug.
The plane itself might be source of it spreading as there are toilets that are little better than an outhouse. 2 TOILETS, and one in first class is normal. But even if it is 4 toilets and 2 in first class there is a problem. The fluids have to be completely changed in toilet system every time they go out and the place sterilzed. No airline is doing this that I know about.
And just how many flights per day are there in and out of the area where this disease is?
That is the time bomb waiting to go off.
That woman that went to visit her family was obviously unware that she just might have killed her own family by not biding by rules she probably had no idea existed.
The sheep are innocent. They have no idea of the dangers out there.
Don’t blame the sheep. Blame the shepherd that allowed it to happen.
Both state and federal officials SHOULD HAVE been more aware of the problem and taken action sooner.
SHOULD HAVE, WOULD HAVE, COULD HAVE. Every prison in the country has losers in it with those phrases.
It is hind sight and it is always 20/20. Foresight is a lot rarer.
What has to happen now is these same people have to get off their a***s and start acting in a manner that shows us competence in dealing with this disaster before it spreads.
No one can take back the mistakes made. What can be done is to admit that mistakes were made and correct them before we have a national disaster.
‘That means temporarily or permanently closing our borders to infected people in the best way we can.
That means contamination procedures set up in every medical facility in the United States and abroad.
That means a federal grant of billions of dollars to set up facilities to handle an epidemic.
It means closing down the schools until it is safe to return if necessary.
It means setting up facilities so people can get food while this is going on and closing down all the debt collections until it is over with.
That way people do not have to go out to a place where they might catch the disease.
This means temporarily shutting the country down until we have it contained if necessary.
But that would mean we need real leaders. Not political hacks lying through their teeth at every opportunity.
When the forest is dry as tinder, a forest fire is almost a sure thing to happen. Well we have a very dry forest in that Congress and the Presidency right now.

    • Firstgarden

“The sheep are innocent. They have no idea of the dangers out there. Don’t blame the sheep. Blame the shepherd that allowed it to happen..”

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. A hireling will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock. The hireling runs away because he’s working only for the money and doesn’t really care about the sheep.”

      • DJohn1

Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting this time it will give a different result is called insanity.

  • George

Maybe if someone with Ebola jumped the White House fence, it might get Obama off the golf course long enough to actually do something constructive about the problem.

  • AzDi

Since no one in Washington can tell the truth about anything, there is no trust anywhere. So, that said, could the fact that Obama refuses to ban flights from So. Africa, and now we have a “possibility” of more Ebola issues might be part of a plan?

Obama has been changing the US in the worse way for the last 6 years and there are so many people ready to fight. Could his plan to let more Ebola cases come in, and people move to the streets then here comes the “Martial Law”. Obama will be in office forever.

    Just saying.

A 5 hour plane ride from Liberia, Sierra Leone, etc. 1 person with Ebola goes to the bathroom, everyone will go maybe twice to sneeze, pee, poop and relieve themselves, how many people could get infected? All of them? Planes contaminated? Coming to America for a fix in our hospitals contaminating everything?, The best destination for a cure? They sue if they don’t get better? We send our troops there to do what? We have to be the dumbest people on earth to allow this to happen. Our leaders who promote the sympathy card, should be thrown out of office this Nov. Isn’t it convenient to blame Ebola for a financial crash that has been coming for years, long before Ebola ever appeared? How exquisitely timely that this “disease” appears just in time for the criminal bankers and corporations to step into the shadows of their own financial misdeeds and blame a virus for our ultimate downfall.

    C’mon, people, WAKE UP ALREADY!!

  • anonymous

Oh, yes, let’s step back, STOP entertaining and commenting INSIDE OF the MSM fear narrative of Ebola as the “cause of our potential economic woes,” and SEE the fact that last year, those woes were all blamed on Weather Related problems. Uh huh. Anybody getting the bigger picture here?

The true causes of our woes, those psychopaths pulling the economic strings, WANT us all to believe that ebola, weather, swine flu, etc. (just look at the pattern over the years) are just horrid “natural” causes of our ultimate, financial demise.

The question always is: “Qui Bono?” Who benefits? Follow the money, not the weather or disease, and you’ll know.

    What does it Mean ?
Quite simple, the next financial crash is not due to the insane level of money printing because the economy was recovering.
At the moment you can have a nice game of Thermonuclear War or a round of Ebola. Either way the crash didn’t happen due to Reserve Banks printing money to infinity.

The reason that a travel ban won’t work is that there are alternate routes that a person can take to get here. A person can catch a flight in one of the three African countries, travel to an European city, and catch a flight to the US. Best course I think is to help those African countries with their ability to filter out and quarantined the affected individuals.

  • Mondobeyondo

It’s amazing how one little virus can have such a huge impact on so many aspects of our lives. Health (obviously), economic, financial, travel…

Some of it is over-reacting though…there’s no need to keep the kids out of school and locked in the closet for the next 2 months until this blows over. But health care providers, as well as politicians, etc… they should know better than to treat Ebola casually. It’s almost like the “take two aspirin and call me in the morning” type of mentality.
