Is Obama Starting A War With Syria Just To Distract Us From All The Scandals?

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Is Obama Getting Us Into A War With SyriaWell, isn’t that convenient?  At the moment when the Obama administration is feeling more heat then ever before, it starts another war.  Suddenly everyone in the mainstream media is talking all about Syria and not about the IRS scandal, Benghazi, NSA snooping or any of the other political scandals that have popped up in recent weeks.  As if on cue, Obama made headlines all over the globe on Thursday by claiming that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons against the rebels “multiple times”, and that the U.S. was now ready to do more to assist the rebels.  That assistance is reportedly going to include “military support” for the rebels and a no-fly zone over at least part of Syria is being discussed.  Without a doubt, these are acts of war, and this conflict is not going to end until Assad has been ousted.  But Assad will not go quietly.  And all it would take is for Assad to fire a couple of missiles at Tel Aviv for a huge regional war to erupt in the Middle East.  And what happens if Russia or China decides to get involved in the conflict in Syria?  Obama is playing with fire, but he has shown again and again that he is willing to do virtually anything if it will benefit him politically.

As far as the Obama administration is concerned, there is no such thing as a coincidence.  The timing of this announcement regarding Syria was not an accident.  If Obama wanted to use chemical weapons as an excuse to go after Syria he could have done it weeks ago, or he could have waited several more months before taking action.  He chose to do it right now for a reason, and hopefully the American people will be able to see right through this.

So exactly what are we going to be doing for the Syrian rebels?  Well, we will definitely be arming them and training them.  And it is probably reasonable to assume that there will be American “advisers” on the ground inside Syria helping to organize the Syrian resistance.  In fact, according to Debka, a large U.S. Marine force has already been deployed to the Jordanian border with Syria.

In addition, according to the Wall Street Journal, U.S. aircraft may be involved in enforcing a no-fly zone inside Syria…

A U.S. military proposal for arming Syrian rebels also calls for a limited no-fly zone inside Syria that would be enforced from Jordanian territory to protect Syrian refugees and rebels who would train there, according to U.S. officials.

Asked by the White House to develop options for Syria, military planners have said that creating an area to train and equip rebel forces would require keeping Syrian aircraft well away from the Jordanian border.

To do that, the military envisages creating a no-fly zone stretching up to 25 miles into Syria which would be enforced using aircraft flown from Jordanian bases and flying inside the kingdom, according to U.S. officials.

No matter how you slice it, the United States is now in a state of war with Syria.  The only question is how “involved” we are going to get.

And several prominent Republicans are already rushing forward to applaud Barack Obama on this latest move.  The following comes from a CBS News report…

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who met with the rebels last month and has been a vocal critic of the president’s Syria policy said in a joint statement with Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.: “We appreciate the President’s finding that the Assad regime has used chemical weapons on several occasions. We also agree with the President that this fact must affect U.S. policy toward Syria. The President’s red line has been crossed. U.S. credibility is on the line. Now is not the time to merely take the next incremental step. Now is the time for more decisive actions.”

But you know what?  Many of these Syrian rebels have actually pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The whole point of the “war on terror” was to supposedly fight al-Qaeda, but now the U.S. military is allied with them.

Why in the world would we want to help the people who are supposed to be our greatest global enemy?

A Syrian rebel group’s pledge of allegiance to al-Qaeda’s replacement for Osama bin Laden suggests that the terrorist group’s influence is not waning and that it may take a greater role in the Western-backed fight to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad.

The pledge of allegiance by Syrian Jabhat al Nusra Front chief Abou Mohamad al-Joulani to al-Qaeda leader Sheik Ayman al-Zawahri was coupled with an announcement by the al-Qaeda affiliate in Iraq, the Islamic State of Iraq, that it would work with al Nusra as well.

Lebanese Sheik Omar Bakri, a Salafist who says states must be governed by Muslim religious law, says al-Qaeda has assisted al Nusra for some time.

“They provided them early on with technical, military and financial support , especially when it came to setting up networks of foreign jihadis who were brought into Syria,” Bakri says. “There will certainly be greater coordination between the two groups.”

This group of jihadists has been responsible for car and suicide bombings all over Syria, and they are the ones that have been doing the heaviest fighting on the front lines

When the group Jabhat al Nusra first claimed responsibility for car and suicide bombings in Damascus that killed dozens last January, many of Syria’s revolutionaries claimed that the organization was a creation of the Syrian government, designed to discredit those who opposed the regime of President Bashar Assad and to hide the regime’s own brutal tactics.

Nearly a year later, however, Jabhat al Nusra, which U.S. officials believe has links to al Qaida, has become essential to the frontline operations of the rebels fighting to topple Assad.

Not only does the group still conduct suicide bombings that have killed hundreds, but they’ve proved to be critical to the rebels’ military advance. In battle after battle across the country, Nusra and similar groups do the heaviest frontline fighting. Groups who call themselves the Free Syrian Army and report to military councils led by defected Syrian army officers move into the captured territory afterward.

The prominence of Nusra in the rebel cause worries U.S. and other Western officials, who say its operations rely on the same people and tactics that fueled al Qaida in Iraq – an assertion that is borne out by interviews with Nusra members in Syria.

These are no “freedom fighters”.  In fact, if these guys take over they will be much worse than Assad.  These “rebels” recently massacred an entire village of Christians, and just two days ago they slaughtered a 14-year-old boy for supposedly insulting Mohammed…

The rebels, according to ABC News’ reconstruction of the Syrian groups’ reports, appear to have whipped Qatta. When they brought him back to where they’d taken him, his head was wrapped by a shirt.

The rebels waited for a crowd to gather; Qatta’s parents were among them. Speaking in classical Arabic, they announced that Qatta had committed blasphemy and that anyone else who dared insult the Prophet Mohammed would share his fate. Then, the shirt still wrapped around the boy’s head, the rebels shot him in the mouth and neck.

Is this really who the U.S. government wants to be allies with?

Are we that stupid?

And guess what?  According to the Los Angeles Times, the Obama administration is considering plans to bring all of the poor “refugees” that are allied with these “rebels” to the United States…

Two years into a civil war that shows no signs of ending, the Obama administration is considering resettling refugees who have fled Syria, part of an international effort that could bring thousands of Syrians to American cities and towns.

A resettlement plan under discussion in Washington and other capitals is aimed at relieving pressure on Middle Eastern countries straining to support 1.6 million refugees, as well as assisting hard-hit Syrian families.

But now we are committed to this conflict thanks to Obama.

There will be no backing down until Assad is gone.

Of course this could create a huge regional war in the Middle East or even eventually lead to World War III, but Obama doesn’t seem to care.

For now, Obama is saving his own skin, and that is the most important thing to him.

“Syria is just a cover up for snowden which is just a cover up for the IRS which is just a cover up for the AP which is just a cover up for the boston bombing which is just a cover up for Benzaghi.”

  • Syrin

Yes, that’s certainly one of the reasons, but here’s what I have read about Syria from numerous web sites over the past 6-12 months.

    1) The war on Syria will be the trigger for economic collapse, but the gov’t will blame the collapse on jihadists and the war rather than their destructive policies all supported by GARY

    2) There will be MILLIONS of muslim refugees, and the media in the Mid East has been floating a rumor that they will be taken into the US with the amnesty bill and turn the US into a muslim state by 2016. I agree, this seems conspiratorial, but I’ve read this MANY places, including a link cited by drudge. Your LA Times article is just one example but cites a lower number than I have seen.

    3) An Egyptian official was recently caught on tape discussing the war with America and Israel that is coming.

    4) The war will massively escalate and be a proxy war between the US, Russia, China and Iran. WHo knows how far it could go. As Michael has shown us, China could wipe out the US military.

    • Ayn Rand

I don’t know about the whole Muslim part, but everything else seems logical. I still think Radical Islam is just a red herring by the elite to scare us into submission. You know, like the Patriot Act. I say just adapt as the situation comes, and prepare like you have never prepared before. Besides, for all we know, it could be another false alarm. Have been plenty of them before. But you never know when the real stuff will go down.

      • Marius

And you are scared?…That is the purpose…
But you still can break free, is only up to you. Search the truth because: ONLY THE THRUTH CAN SET YOU FREE.
When you will discover governments exist to enslave their people, not to be their gentle enforcers of law and liberty, you just gained knowledge which 95% of living humans on this planet refused to accept…

        • Ayn Rand

Already know that. Never said I was scared. The only scared people are those who do not realize that Islam is a red herring and that the elite are planning world domination. I am angry at the elite because world domination was MY PLAN! they just stole it.

  • K

Let me understand this. We waste many thousands of American lives and almost a trillion dollars fighting Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. So we can waste maybe 100 billion dollars supporting them in Syria. If this is not proof of rampant mental illness in D.C., it ought to be.

  • markthetruth

100% Fooled us in Vietnam, Iraq and trying again in Syria . I don’t believe one word about the chemical weapons there. We Don’t belong there and have no

business there It’s their Civil War Not Ours.

    the end…

    • Eddie Lutz

Indeed, except that without Obama’s meddling there wouldn’t even be a civil war.

      • americalandofthefree

        you are sooo correct Eddie

the Mafia regime has the US locked up tight. They’re getting real lazy about creating cover for their crimes now they’re confident there’s no way they can be constrained.

    • WarriorClass III

It’s more than a civil war, as it is being pushed by the international bankster cartel against Syria for not playing their Central Bank game, and they are using the Muslim Brotherhood to do it. The entire middle east will be controlled by the most radical mooselims the world knows, and Obama is helping them, and the bankster cartel, to do it.

A few years ago, the Federal Reserve published a list of seven nations that were attempting to overthrow the US Dollar in paying for oil. These included Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iran, and Tunisia. Note that in three of these countries, the so-called Arab Spring took care of the rulers. Iran just elected a new president. Syria has yet to fall to the Federal Reserve.

        • WarriorClass III

Yes, and the Fed is owned by the Bankster Cartel.

          End the Fed!

    • kayli ott

I have a son who is in the Air Force. In fact Air force goes back four generations in my family. I am 100% sure that every military mother in this country would agree, these men are there for one reason. That is to assure our independence. Would we be better off just kicked back in the recliner with a remote in our hands while these bullies take over. The point in being “over there” is to keep them from being “over here”. If you think Pearl Harbor was bad, imagine how awful it would be if they were to invade this country!!!

      • WarriorClass III

I share your concerns; I was also in the Air Force, and for the same reasons. Problem is, those reasons were wrong. We are there not for our freedoms, but for the international banksters that want their resources and to set up a central bank that can steal from them just like the Federal Reserve steals from us.

        • Laurus

I agree w/u. We have been played for fools by the banksters and our own govt.

      • K

Have to agree with warrior on this. Service personnel are being used up, and tossed aside. You need to pay attention to how returning vets are being treated. Perhaps then you will understand, how much things have changed.

      • You’re an idiot if you don’t realize that a solid immigration policy would keep them from being here without turning America into a police state.

Hope you enjoy your thirty pieces of silver for betraying your country with your idiocy.

Arm the citizens and let them protect themselves if you don’t like sitting in a recliner. Your false dichotomy is brainless.

I am also an Air Force vet, and it is obvious that we are not fighting to win, as a real American like MacArthur would have done, we are fighting to spread collectivist banking, welfare state policies and to “modernize” self-sufficient societies.

        • louise in Missouri

No need to call her an idiot.

Kayli ott===there is NO they in Al-Qaeda today and NO organization among any of these radical group.

I have worked over the past decade with many upper ranked servicemen and women and they disagree with you. They are very clear as are the boots on the ground warriors that we have NO BUSINESS being involved in any of these “useless” desert wars. I can only imagine how hard it would be to face that truth, but it is the truth nonetheless.

It is common knowledge that we have no dog in these fights and also it is very clear that 90% of all the fatalities are CIVILIANS—–

JUST as was the case in Viet Nam.

We brought a storm fire of taliban and al-qaeda to Iraq and to Afghanistan..

We cannot afford another war anywhere.. PERIOD

Our vets are so messed up when they come home from these useless desert wars off the frontline that 22 of them are committing suicide EVERY single day in the US because of the things they have seen, because Americans live in LaLaland and because the images in their heads all day every day, make them go crazy. AND the government NDAA act of 2011 declares that our returning war vets ARE “psychotic” “delusional” “enemies of the state” and some more juicy titles that make me want to go through the roof. I am a long time Air Force family member. My brother and father both served during WWII and Viet Nam, but we are a warring nation that goes into a country and blows it to kingdom come so our politicians can kill off some more ppl and “thin the herd” worldwide and so our politicians can make billions by putting their countries back together.

Ludicrous wars we have NO BUSINESS being in and most Americans DO NOT want a war in Syria for any reason.

    • Arby

Right on! Why do we persist in being so stupid? Bringing in the Syrian refugees??? at you kidding me? Many or all could be alkaeda. Are we nuts? Or does bamy want these folks in his private army, who will have no compunction to kill us when the command is given.

  • Tosheba

“Is Obama Starting A War With Syria Just To Distract Us From All The Scandals”? Duh. The U.N. announced a few weeks back al-Assad did NOT use chemical weapons on his people. Pick one.

    • kathy k

Obama has just been waiting for the time to come when he would need the ”chemical war fare red line crossed card”. So many to choose from

    • Considering that Obama is mostly a helpless puppet of larger forces behind the scenes, what I would conjecture is that all of these scandals were timed to come out at the same time so the wall street warmongers could pressure Obama into going to war in order to save his presidency.

I’m not excusing Obama, certainly his administration is corrupt, but fact is all of these revelations started coming out all at once. The neocons and the neoliberal warmongers were flexing their muscle and showing him how quickly they could undo his presidency if he didn’t follow orders.

Same thing happened in 98 when Clinton was so compromised he jumped on the bandwagon to attack Serbia, then withdrew the inspectors, bombed Iraq, tried to goad Saddam into war and paved the way for Bush.

The reason the elites like these corrupt slimeball politicians is because they are easy to leverage.

  • TJJackson1

    STOP the Obama wars!

    • otter1111

Do you think Obama will give back his Nobel Peace Prize?

  • TtT Engine

The R/W/B is on financial meltdown and we are going to support jihadist “rebels” that will kill Americans while we sleep at night ? This is criminal. These rebels are the same devils that killed our stranded Americans in Benghazi while OB slept, Hill partied down, Panetta piled pasta while American treasure was told to stand down and die. Syria is Putin’s puppies, you bunch of A-holes. Another U.S. middle east engagement. Would you commit your son/daughter to another Islamic hellhole ? This is a war crime. Why, because the power brokers in Saudi gave OB his marching orders or was it that world wrecker Soros ? Look at the total destabilization of the Middle East from this tinkering rank amateur. Did you R/W/B Americans see the clip where Morsi and his thugs yuck it up while describing America and Israel as the enemies of Egypt ? Meanwhile the jackass in Chief gives Egypt 20 F-16’s, tanks and billions in aid and tells Israel he’s got their back. You lefties get what you deserve in your stoned out utopia. You voting Judas Catholics deserve darkness. Christi Fidelis !

        • HerrinSchadenfreude

Regan was a liar too. And a puppet as well. In fact, our current puppet could not have screwed us without the doors opened by previous puppets. Regan included.

Reagan who started us on the path to massive debt?
Bush who started a war of aggression against Iraq?

War is the only thing big enough to cover the decline of America and the West. If the sheeple are not kept under the bed, hiding from the ‘boggy man’ terrorist, they might wake up and ask questions. Stop spending. Pay off their bills and get ready for the collapse of the Western world. That is not acceptable to the wealthy elite who still ogle what wealth the middle class has left.

    • jaded

      “boogeyman terrorist”, that’s brilliant.

This is just another distraction so the feds can get QE4 going to the stock market from collapsing.

  • MeMadMax

Pretty much already all over in syria. Assad has managed to close the borders in the south and is mainly conducting cleanup operations there and in central syria. All he has to do now is close the border with iraq and turkey then cleanup the north area and be done with this whole thing… Very large weapons caches are being captured by Syrian Army forces on a daily basis now, which says 2 things: One, there are not enough terrorist warmbodies to use the weapons, and two, there are not enough terrorist warmbodies to transport the weapons during a retreat. Simply giving them more weapons, even if they are more powerful than what they got will do no good at this point. Besides that obama was stupid enough to announce his intentions so assad will be able to plan accordingly. He said no fly zone 25 miles into syria over by jordan… great, now assad knows not to send any planes there, and pack in as many anti aircraft guns/missiles he can in a 25 mile area by jordan. Obama also said he’s gonna train forces in jordan… great, now assad knows to build multiple defensive perimeters and traps all the way up and down the jordan border in order to prepare for the coming slaughter of terrorists… You know what, obama just signed the death warrant of untold numbers of terrorists… hmm, good deal or not, who knows…

    • MeMadMax

Also, quite possibly, obama signed the death warrants of who knows how many american pilots. We are good, but we can only take on so many SAM’s/Anti-aircraft batteries….

    Scandals ?-?

Which scandals would that be then
Money Laundering for Drug Cartels and Terrorists
    Price Fixing
    Illegal Foreclosures
    Commodities Manipulation
    Wash Trading
    Front Running Trades
    Naked Short Selling
    Illegal Spying
    Interest Rate Rigging
    Military Tortures
    Fraud (to many to count)

The problem is Government looks at each one as a separate unrelated case spread over time, and don’t want to see the whole history of Illegal activities. There’s no problem if your not looking for one.

    • Lennie Pike

Add election fraud as in Maine (just one example) against Ron Paul (True Americans).

  • Ralfine

He has bought arms and needs to have them destroyed before he can buy new ones.

The new ones are probably already in the pipeline. Need to keep the profit rolling in for the big fat cats in the arms business.
You can sell only so many bullets to private households. Tanks and ships and missiles bring in much more profit. And they are paid for by the tax payer and don’t even need their consent.

Where the war is waged, doesn’t really matter. As long as the enemy is weak enough not to unload bombs and missiles at home.

  • glamandvamp

You really do need a scorecard to keep up with all these scandals, all this drama and intrigue. It’s almost like an old 1940’s film noir only it’s not a movie, it’s real and it more than likely will not have a happy ending.

  • Lennie Pike

What, Syria wouldn’t be attacked if it weren’t for the scandals? Syria has been under attack for two years and the decision to do so was not made by Obama. The scandals are the product of the plan for a global fascism requiring the extermination of all who insist on freedom – mainly Christians – which is what this is all about – the final battle of good vs evil. The ones at the top causing this would agree if they were capable of truth because they are satanists.

The few remaining non-coopetative countries (including the U.S.A.) are the next to be attacked.

And then there is Russia – which is already involved.

    It’s more than a distraction, it’s Treason.

Article 3, Section 3 of the US Constitution states:

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against THEM, or in adhering to THEIR enemies, giving them aid and comfort.”

The words in caps, “THEM” and “THEIR” refer to the American People. Anyone levying war against the American People, or adhering to THEIR enemies by giving those enemies aid and comfort is a TRAITOR to America and their Constitution.

This current regime is at the very least giving “aid and comfort” to the sworn enemies of the American People in Syria, and at worst levying war against them (the PRISM system is a military intelligence machine, used for the purpose of making war against the American People).

This regime has declared war on the American people, and is the enemy of freedom, the Constitution and America.

If this turns into another long, drawn-out war, like Iraq or Afghanistan, then it’s over for America. I believe that the point of no return was crossed quite some time ago, but another war will only hasten the death of this once great nation. I can’t believe the impudence of that imposter in the White House. I have to believe that he is deliberately destroying what’s left of this nation.

    • Laurus

I agree with you, Tim. It has been obvious for quite some time that our own government is hastening us toward a one world govt. conceived by the global elites, banksters and corrupt govt officials. But, what are we doing as citizens to stop this? Unless we somehow unite as one American people, stand up and cry out at the top of our lungs, this will move forward. It is time for us to unite and push back.

This is what you get when STUPID, INCOMPETENT and CORRUPT leaders run a Country into the ground. The only way out of this is to hope for a total collapse of the US Govt.

I fear that the economic collapse is 100% intentional. It will be done to destroy capitalism. The new system that will emerge will be communism. People will be desperate after the system goes down. People will give up all of their rights freely to get food. The gubernment will provide that for everyone after they let us slug it out for awhile. People will kill each other off thus thinning the herd.

Winston Churchill said when your enemy is fighting your enemy, you stand back and let them fight. It is ludicrous for Obama to send our money, tanks, and fighter jets…and now our blood and our treasure…our soldiers to fight along side of our enemies and help our enemies. That is TREASON. Both sides are our ENEMIES who openly state they want to slit our throats, rape us, torture us.
No matter how the White House tries to spin it–sarin gas or no–YOUR TAX MONEY WILL SUPPORT AL QAEDA–the very entity that has been killing Americans, and with whom the US says it is at war.

  • Barn Cat

No, not at all. Obama has been working to remove secular rulers in Muslims countries and replacing them with the Muslim Brotherhood. Syria is on the clock. After that it will be Jordan. The last one to fall will be Saudi Arabia. The end game is destroying Israel.

  • Mondobeyondo

Typical…. when there are problems and scandals at home, start a war abroad.

One may think that Obama wakes up every morning, throws a dart at a spinning globe in the Oval Office, and wherever it lands, is the country to be invaded tomorrow. That’s not quite how it works, of course.

But we Americans are getting tired of the war thing. Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Syria..?!? Withdraw from one country and go into another.

12 years of war and counting.

  • Mondobeyondo

IRAN is the country that’s really behind all this.

Iran funds the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists that are in Lebanon, Syria, etc. The Egyptian Brotherhood’s takeover of the Egyptian government (kicking out Mubarak and putting in radical Islamists) has Iran written all over it.

But the U.S. is too timid to attack Iran directly. Not to worry, Israel will take care of that. They aren’t afraid. We’ll tell Israel “Don’t attack Iran, pretty please, don’t attack them, it’ll start a war”, blah blah. News flash – there’s gonna be a war anyway.

Iran’s whole goal is total control of the Middle East. Politically, economically and militarily if possible.

    • Gay Veteran

gee, wonder why Iran hates us? could it be because we overthrew their democratically elected government in the 1950s so we could control the oil through the Shah?

  • Dave Webb

Standard Iron Mountain policy. Create a war to stay in power.
If you cannot cover yourselves and your religion is not logical, use force to enforce it. Let those who are guilty of this know who you are.
But that has been happening for a thousand or more years in that region of the world.
How much longer must we wait, before the return?
How much longer will we have no rules and wholesale slaughter of people who do not believe as we believe? Cheating? Murder? Slavery?
I think the wrath will occur very soon and then these same people will bemoan their fates. No action required. Just stay out of the line of fire when our Lord God decides enough is enough.

And I think that is going to happen very soon.
No one knows the time it will happen. But surely it will happen very soon.

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the Syrian regime is indiscriminately bombing villages in rebel held territory causing many civilian casualties. The death toll is up to 93 thousand in this civil war. And we are America. We value human life. A “no fly” zone would also do much to stem the flood of refugees out of Syria. People who are at risk of dying by the thousands as they have nowhere to run.

We can’t stop the war but we can establish a no fly zone with minimal risk to American life.

I expect jihadists to be baffled by finding America and the UN forces aiding their side. I anticipate our intensions will not be understood by them.

    • Gay Veteran

      “…We value human life….”
that’s a sick joke after what we did in Iraq

      • Gene Baugh BBA

You know, it may be that I think the way our leaders ought to think rather than how they ACTUALY think. In Iraq 20% of the population died I suspect because their leader was intending to sell oil in dinari instead of dollars. The only benefit to the world of this atrocity is that Iran and Iraq have not attacked each other since we got there.

The ring-leader and eighteen of nineteen perps. of the 9-11 attacks came from another country and we did not invade that country. Had it been a grab for oil there is more in Saudi Arabia than Iraq.

The only plausible reason for us to even get involved is the way Syria is misusing its air power. One and a half million people have fled to Jordan mainly to escape the daily air strikes which seem to be untargeted.

All the pundits talk about are outcomes as if there could possibly be a favorable outcome.

    • Russia knows the US wants to fracture it and destroy its economy. The US already tried once in the 90’s, but Putin stopped them.

So Russia would rather have a proxy war in Syria and Iran and bleed the US rather then have the US successfully hedge it in and strangle it.

Russia has no motivation to back down in this. The US has already shown itself to be too corrupt to be trusted.

If America had a leader who cared about its own national interests as much as Putin cares about Russia’s national interests, the US would be a lot better off.

No, cannot agree on this. I believe Snowden is a hero. I think he saw some things that disturbed him. However, I do not think he hid it well. ,They then gave him access to even more information. Some of which will turn out to be false. It is the Governments hope, that the false information, will taint the accurate information. Thereby getting it all dismissed as false. As to him just following orders, and that keeps him safe. No, they will try to kill him. Even if he was following orders, they will not leave him alive. Too much risk, he might one day tell someone he was just following orders.

They did not send him out. He left on his own. But from the agencies reaction, they had some level of suspicion that something was not right. Standard procedure feed him false info, so if he runs all his info is cast in doubt. They do not care if the public knows, they are going to hunt him down and kill him. The mode they are in now is damage control. Which means showing their other employees what happens to leakers.

That defies the seperation of powers given to each branch of our gubernment. If the POTUS can create Executive Orders (laws), why do we need Congress? Isn’t that close to being a dictatorship? You failed to mention that Russia AND Iran are helping the Assad government, incluing sending thousands of troops to aid Assad. It has been stated in numerous news sources that if we get involved in Syria we will be fighting a proxy war with Russia and Iran. Looks to me as if we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t.

Personally, I was hoping that we would not get involved in Syria, for the reasons you sited in your article and a few more. History seems to bear out that when financial times are dark, somehow a war breaks out.

According to the PATRIOT Act (sic), it is a violation of Federal law for an individual or organization to provide financial or logistical support to certain “terrorist organizations.” Included in this list of “terrorist organizations” is al-Qaeda and any of their affiliated groups.

By the United States government providing support for certain rebel factions within Syria, the United States government is providing direct support to al-Qaeda. As such, at least one agency of the United States government is directly violating the most criminal of Acts ever passed by Congress: The (so-called) PATRIOT Act.

My question is: Who is policing the Federal Government?

Let’s face it the war with Syria is a neoecohen strategy that goes back at least 20 years. Perfumed Prince Wes Clarke mentioned it about 7 years ago…as a series of wars to be waged across North Africa and the Middle East. Guess who the winner is and who the loser usually is. US is fighting another judaic war because it is “good” for our last functioning industries, i.e. weapons manufacturers and it keeps the Pentacon mob busy not to mention because our israeli firsters call the shots here. We will continue fight and lose war after war until we are stopped in our tracks because we are very slow learners with scant regard for history. Hollyweird will make another fantasy movie and convince US that we are the good guys despite the ever growing mounds of corpses we leave in our wake.

Interestingly this could very well be the war where Russia and China will have to call our bluff and we finally met the brick wall of reality that we all knew was just up ahead. We are broke, our infrastructure is crumbling and a large proportion of our population is illiterate, unemployed, imprisoned or homeless…thanks to our bellicose big mouth nature and delusions of grandeur we still imagine that we are the greatest nation on earth despite the filth of our inner cities and the slums where our poverty stricken masses are caged like animals.

If we can’t defang our whorehouse politicos and cure them of their penchant for righteous slaughter and mayhem for Israel then God help us when we are inevitably confronted by real armies and not terrorists of our own making.

The script is already written, maybe this one will be in theaters before it actually happens

Now, what were the saying about the Antichrist coming from some unnamed place in the east as a bringer of peace, and then starting Armageddon, AKA World War 3? Does this sound like some big-ear-having world leader we know?

It would be trivial for Assad to deploy Russian- or Chinese-made short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles at Tel Aviv; and no stretch of the imagination for Iran to do the same thing with its medium-range and long-range missiles.

The first few dozen launches would deplete the Israeli Patriot missile defense batteries; the ones after that would contain the real payloads. We know that Syria has chemical weapons.

It’s no stretch of the imagination to think that Iran could already have a prototype nuclear weapon. And their scientists are good enough to make one that’ll work the first time. We know they’re that good because we trained them in our universities in the 70s. And A.Q. Khan of Pakistan gave them everything they need to know about making nuclear weapons.

The only thing missing is the provocation. Or as it’s called on Capitol Hill, “change.”

Wag the Dog all over again.

The alleged chemical weapons attack by the Assad regime is a FALSE FLAG. It was foretold January, 2013. Undoubtedly gas was used. However, it was green lighted by the CIA. Once again, Obama is diverting our attention from numerous scandals perpetrated by his administration as well as the pending economic collapse of the U.S.

Meanwhile in Fukushima, Japan, millions of gallons of highly radioactive waste is about to spill into the pacific and we are leaving it up to the company that is responsible for the reactor’s meltdown and clean up to handle this far greater crisis without a whimper of response from any of the world’s great powers!

Obama wants military support for Al Qaeda, the rebels? Wow now there can be no doubt he is a treasonous traitor who needs to be removed from office immediately and his whole administration put on trial.
