Unity - Photo by lumaxartWhatever you may think about the George Zimmerman trial, the truth is that it is yet another example that shows very clearly how divided America is at this point.  I was hesitant to write anything about the Zimmerman trial today, because it seems like the more people talk about it the more divided we become.  But we need to have some honest discussions about these issues, because all of this division threatens to literally tear this nation apart.  If we do not learn how to love one another and forgive one another, America is not going to have any sort of a future.  After all this time, the people of the United States should have been able to get beyond racial hatred.  Instead, it appears to be growing with each passing day.  Right now, there are millions of Americans that hate African-American people.  Right now, there are millions of Americans that hate Hispanic-American people.  Right now, there are millions of Americans that hate Asian-American people.  Right now, there are millions of Americans that hate white people.  Right now, there are millions of Americans that hate Jewish people.  All of this hatred is evil, and it is eating away at our nation like cancer.  The problems that our country is facing are immense, and we are never going to have any hope of solving them until we can forgive one another and start to honestly love one another.

When groups of Americans begin to label other groups of Americans that don’t look like them as “the enemy”, we all lose.

We should refuse to listen to those that would attempt to divide us and pit us against one another.  We must find a way to come together and overcome all of the bitterness and resentment that is out there.  Those that harbor hatred in their hearts are not doing any good and they are slowly but surely destroying themselves.

We need to start understanding that every human life is of great value.  I doesn’t matter what someone looks like or where they are from.  The following is a direct quote from one of our most important founding documents, the Declaration of Independence

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Indeed, we are all greatly loved and greatly valued by our Creator.  Those that choose to hate a particular group of people are choosing to come against the Creator of us all.

Almost every single day there are people that come to my websites that post comments expressing dislike for one particular group of people or another.  And just about wherever you go on the Internet these days, you can see the hatred rising.  If this continues, what is America going to look like in a few years?

It seems like almost everyone in America has an opinion about how the Zimmerman trial should have ended.  And that is okay.  But no matter how you feel about it, you should not be setting fires, burning American flags, smashing store windows or vandalizing police vehicles.  You should not be trying to convince us all that one group or another is “sub-human” or that one group or another is “superior”.  And you should not be attempting to claim that “the Jews” are the root cause of all of our problems.

If you hate a particular group of people, you are part of the problem.

In Matthew chapter 22, Jesus is asked what the greatest commandment is…

35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

First of all, we are to love God with everything that is inside of us.

Secondly, we are to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

So exactly who qualifies as a neighbor?

Jesus answered that question in Luke chapter 10

30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Are you willing to love those that look different than you do?

Of course we all could do better and we have all made mistakes.  That is one reason why forgiveness is so important.

We all need to have grace for one another and to be open to reconciliation.

If Americans are able to forgive one another and start loving one another, we may be able to start moving this country back in the right direction.

If not, strife and discord will literally tear our communities apart.

The choice is up to you America.

      I think so. Actually, the whole point of your sites seems to be to talk about what most people won’t. Most of that is aimed at our economic situation, but some of your articles have focused on our moral decline as well. And yes, racial hatred in all forms will keep America down.

      Michael you done good. I agree with everything you said. I would give anything to live in such a Country. We can all work to lessen the hate, and drive it from our own lives. However as to this Country coming back together. I am sad to say I think we are passed that possibility. I can only pray, that I am wrong.

      I think you are missing some points. For the most part people are engaging in mostly peaceful protests over this verdict which they have a right to do. Lets not forget the protests are a cross sectionof all races black white latino and even asian
      A lot of people love to complain but the hide behind a computer screen and give lip service instead of actually doing any work to make this country a better place.

Americans need to understand that this hatred is institutionalized in the Nation’s educational system that teaches students to hate white people, specifically white men, and especially the white Founders of this country. It teaches them that white people are responsible for all racism, and there are plenty of people that cling to this message as an excuse for their own failures. Noel Ignatiev, a professor at Harvard University, wants to abolish the white race altogether.

      This didn’t happen by accident. Race has always been used by the Bankster cartel to pit people against each other instead of the real enemy that enslaves them. They own the major media that has tried so hard to bait the black people into riots following the Zimmerman trial.

      People aren’t born hating anyone. They have to learn it, and the Bankster cartel is more than happy to teach them hatred and have gained control of the social media, the school systems, and the government to advance their own agenda.

      This is the bigger picture, and the people need to understand who their real enemy is and that they are being manipulated into fighting amongst themselves.

      I would also point out that all hatred is not evil. We should hate the things that God hates, and God hates the banksters. They were, after all, the first group He took a whip to…

      And we should follow suit.

            Due process allows prosecutions and aquittals being challenged by higher courts, until the supreme court had their final say. And even that is not final. The people is the sovereign.             So, some Americans need to start reflecting on their action and attitude and ask themselves why they are loved all over the world.

      I believe a lot of the racial hatred comes from the fact that most people have the luxury of never having their beliefs really challenged.

      That being said, you can’t always go pow wow and make everything better either. Our communities are already torn apart. The “other” sides version of reconciliaton is us on our knees and serving them and not disagreeing with them. We cannot compromise the rule of law or our rights to the other side of this. Innocence and gulit are not determined by majority mob mentality. If preserving our rights to due process and rule of law means no reconciliation then so be it.

      The republicans are part of the other side as are the democrats. They are both part of a united progressive front.

      the only people that came out winning anything of real value in this case was the media, cable news in particular. One family is mourning their dead child and another is living but in fear. The media played up the race aspect so much and made a show of this case when there were real human lives and a death involved. I’m done with the news in this country. So sick.

    At the age of 54 going on 55 and growing up in a liberal household, both parents lifelong democrats. It’s kinda funny how it’s usually conservatives who espouse love, kindness and it’s the liberals who want to burn things or KILL someone when they feel things did not quite go their way. Here’s what’s really troubling aside from that.

    We are a stage in this Nations timeline where if liberals don’t get the results they want they will continue to reject the results and continue to protest until the get THEIR RESULT.

    As soon as the verdict was in. Al Sharpton wanted the DOJ to charge Zimmerman with civil rights violations. The AG is said to be looking into it as well. Harry “Slimeball” Reid wants the DOJ to do the same.

    You see the pattern here? Why wasn’t Zimmerman just put in jail for the rest of his life without a trial if this is what the libs wanted? It would have saves Florida (my state) taxpayers the money on that circus trial.

    But the other problem are seeing this with other issues like abortion, immigration etc. The people speak and the corrupt politicians just keep greasing the wheels of anarchy and getting the low information voter all riled up.

    One thing I believe that wasn’t mentioned at trial was the skittles and Arizona Ice Tea. So what you ask? Because the mixture of the two with Robitussin, is used as a cheap drug to get high, it’s called “Purple Drank”.

    Michael here is the problem. As a nation we no longer love God. God of the Bible says over and over do not worship the god of gold and silver. 2014 it will be 13 years since 9/11 if you read about Tyre it worshiped wealth but God said they would be destroyed. So for 13 years king Nebuchadnezzar laid siege of that island country. Both Isaiah and Ezekiel prophesied against them. Isaiah 24 goes one step further the world would be devastated and in Isaiah 23 Tyre would be destroyed. I accept that our country will be judged and rightly so. Pride before destruction.

    The Main Stream Media is another party who’s guilty. When I saw the clip of the verdict on the BBC website. It had mentioned that Zimmerman showed NO emotion whatsoever other than to blink. After the verdict it was one of his attorney’s who smile at Zimmerman and he reciprocated with a vague smile. That the kind of smile CNN was referring to.

    CNN said “Zimmerman smiles after the verdict of NOT GUILTY”. That’s plain wrong and anyone of you low information voters if you watch CNN, find another news source. Those guys are pathetic and another reason why the MSM has no credibility left.

      Jesus came from, was knowledgeable of and practiced Judaism. He himself was at times violent (think: attacking the moneychangers in the Temple).

      Judaism does not teach to turn the other cheek when harmed, it teaches knowing when to use power and bordermaking when necessary and when to use love and mercy when necessary (for every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time for war, a time for peace…a time to cast stones, a time to embrace, etc).

      The Jewish law takes into account human nature, divisions and the urge for revenge.

      So, what would have happened in this context with Zimmerman? He would have immediately booked it to one of the six cities of refuge and hoped he didn’t get overtaken by one of Trayvon’s relatives on the way there. The cities of refuge were set up for people who murdered in self defense or unintentionally. (see Numbers 35:9). It was not fun to live in a city of refuge, you had to immediately leave your life as you knew it before and were not allowed to return for many years. You were given a sustenance and had to live in a section of the city with other people in limbo like yourself. If you were unmarried, your chances of marriage were slim. Your career and freedom were over.

      Now, when you look at Numbers 35 without the oral law, the commentaries and means of interpretation handed down over the centuries, it would be easy to construe the words to mean different things- that is why the tradition is so valuable. Here it is clear: Once Zimmerman had refuge he would have then been tried, if the court could not find him unequivocally guilty of premeditated murder then he would have been allowed to stay in the city of refuge.

      Revenge (death) would have been only possible at the hands of Trayvon’s core family and only if Zimmerman left the city of refuge. It would not have been a national issue.

      Jesus, also, would have respected this as he said in Mathew 23: ““The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you.”

From what I have seen in the news, the African American community overwhelmingly disapproves of the verdict. This great American experiment of different races living together artificially is not working, and will be exacerbated by the failing economy. If it wasn’t for the 48 million people on food stamps and section eight, where even the poor can have an high definition television and an Iphone, they would be rioting in the streets.       Do they even realize what they are protesting? A story that was sensationalized by the media, a story that was created by the media. Learn the truth and then make an informed decision not one out of emotion and fabrications.

      2 of my biggest issues the old photo shown over and over of Trayvon. Most people believe this little innocent looking child was brutally stalked and killed by Zimmerman. The actual and true 911 call that NBC edited in order to sensationalize what happened.

      Both Trayvon and Zimmerman are guilty. Zimmerman for playing cop when he was not a licensed and trained police officer, Trayvon for letting his anger get the best of him to go back and punch and beat down Zimmerman. Unfortunately both parties actions led to tragic consequences because of the decisions each person made. Kind of like a small fire being set and then igniting into an inferno.

      I believe Zimmerman thought he was going to die when his head was being pounded on the sidewalk and that is why he shot Trayvon. What would you have done if that was you?

      The protestors were misguided at best. They have not examined the evidences and facts from the case. They assumed made up talk points or twisted ideas and assumed that Zimmerman should be guilty. While all the evidences and facts point to a clear self defense case. There was no reason for protest at all.

    Ironically it may have been those, including the President, that were so quick to turn this into a racial issue who may have ultimately prevented the proper application of justice. Zimmerman was guilty as sin. As an armed man without any official or sanctioned power to apprehend, detain, or even really question, he decided to get in his car and follow an unarmed minor, initiate confrontation with the minor even though he posed no immediate danger to any life or property, then shot him dead when the fight that ensued didn’t go his way. Given the spirit of “stand your ground” if anyone was justified in using deadly force to defend himself it was Mr. Martin.

    Unfortunately the sensationalist-crazed media and the focus on race was allowed to dominate the story and from there the trial was doomed. If we’re ever going to get to the point where we ignore skin color than I think we all know who needs to stop immediately bringing it up whenever stuff like this happens.

The only stable multi-racial societies are empires where a strong monocultural or monoracial nation conquers other countries and subjugates them with military occupation and overwhelming force. Yugoslavia for instance was created in the aftermath of WWII by a ruthless totalitarian regime that operated a police state and only kept rival ethnic groups from killing each other through repression. Once the dictator was overthrown, the rival ethnic groups that long-hated each other and were now free to choose began a series of extremely bloody race and religious wars to ethnically cleanse their homelands. The United States was not or will it ever be a successful multi-racial society because the national government is not repressive enough to repress the nationalist desires of different racial groups who naturally oppose and/or hate each other. The Founding Fathers would be appalled at any implied or justified use of their constitutional republic to set up a repressive regime that divides and rules by importing other races or religions, and they would be horrified that this republic would be anything less than a White Western Christian nation! The idea of freedom and individual liberty is totally alien to the nature and dispositions of other races, and you would be hard-pressed to find anything even remotely similar to a constitutional republic in any majority non-white nation.

    In biblical times most people lived in small villages of only a few hundred people. Most people lived their whole lives in the village they were born in. Thus, in the biblical sense, your “neighbor” was someone who lived in your village their entire life and probably knew your family for generations.

    Let me tell you about my neighbors. A few months ago a Gambian “refugee” who has been in the country for 5 years pulled a knife on a 17 year old White girl and raped her while she was walking home from school. Of course, rape isn’t a serious crime in his country and is rarely prosecuted. Otherwise I live in a predominately Puerto Rican neighborhood. None of my neighbors speak my language, share my culture or my values. They stare daggers at me no matter how friendly I am. I will never be one of “them”. They will always see me as a “gringo” an “other”. There is apparently a turf war going on with the local latino gangs and the local black gangs. The cops are on my street almost everyday breaking up fights between the blacks and latinos.

    These are not my “neighbors” in the biblical sense. These are strangers, aliens that happen to live near me. I am to love these people? Knowing they are not worthy of my love, nor would they ever even attempt to return the favor. How about not casting Pearls before Swine. A successful, religious, conservative, low-crime nation handed over to invasive 3rd world colonists that come only to take and never to give. Flying the flags of other nations while accepting welfare from US taxpayers. I will follow Christ’s teachings and love my neighbor, but I will not do the same to the aliens I live among.

      Jesus made sure we know that everyone else is our neighbors. The story of the good Samaritans tells us exactly that. The Samaritans were aliens, half-breed and hated by the Jews, but the good Samaritans helped the Jew who was in trouble, while his own countrymen passed him by. It’s not about nationality or ethnicity. It is not about being worthy of love or not. After all NONE of us are worthy of God’s love! And Jesus is the Good Samaritan. Even though we hate Him, he still loves us. It’s hard to love someone unlovable, but that’s the miracle of God, when we have His love, we can love the unlovable!

    I had to stop reading after your third paragraph. To stop dividing people, then we need to tell the media…Fox News and CNN….to stop allowing Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton on the air. These two men have done nothing to unite people in this country and only continue to divide. And now with the NAACP wanting to step in and file additional civil rights lawsuits, who’s really trying to divide the country? People were not going to be happy unless George Zimmerman was convicted. After all, someone had to pay, right? I think Martin’s parents want the jury verdict to be accepted, but thanks to all the groups above, they will be pushed into having this case carry on until Jackson, Sharpton, and the NAACP have someone to hold accountable. And then people wonder why there is division.

Problem: Zimmerman is part Jewish and part Peruvian, definitely not a WASP by any stretch of the imagination. But the presstitutes will do anything for ratings. They have no shame.

      I’ve been reading the comments on Spanish-language websites, and the majority of the ones I’ve seen have been supportive of this verdict.

    These conflicts could be easily avoided. If people with different beliefs and cultures would segregate themselves with like individuals then things such as this would not take place. We never had problems such as this before government forced social integration.When government forced unlike individuals with different morals , cultures and character to live, work and otherwise socially interact is when the problems started. Investigators could find no racial bias in the Zimmerman Tragedy but that is NOT what the masses or the media wanted to believe. So desperate was the media to find racial bias that Zimmerman was labeled a “White Hispanic”. ANYTHING to stir up the pot. Racial Peace and Reconciliation is the last thing the leadership wants in this country. Too much political capital to be made stirring the racial pot! In Chicago, you have Gang War but it is Zimmerman the media and the government obsess over 24/7. This country has not been this divided since the Civil War. Leadership at the Top seizes every opportunity to stick the knife into racial relations and twist it. I am retiring and plan to move to a Red State well into the interior. I am no longer interested in “getting along”. I am interested in survival.

    Personally, I haven’t paid a bit of attention to the Zimmerman trial. What little I know of it comes from blurbs I’ve caught while listening to the radio in my car. Of course, most of these blurbs were designed to be inflammatory and to follow someone’s agenda, so I quickly tuned them out…

    I try to abide by what MLK Jr. said: “judge me by the content of my character, and not by the color of my skin.” Like anyone, I am vulnerable to seeing the world through the stereotypical lens of my own upbringing and culture. This is especially true when I’m forced to deal with government bureaucracies! Still, I try to practice the patience with which I’d like to be treated, though sometimes am not afforded.

    will say, when I was a young, idealistic college student, I suffered from a great deal of “white guilt.” As other commenters have mentioned, much of the racism in the this country is ingrained into people in our schools. After hearing it long enough, you start to buy into it. After joining the Army and the real world, that is no longer the case! I’ve seen racism and discrimination in all of its forms, but I certainly don’t chalk it up to the content of melanin, or lack thereof, in a person’s skin. Likewise, culture explanations don’t hold true either.

    It comes down to two types of people: those who look for things that can unite us, and those who seek out that which divides us. Like most people, I can tend toward the latter, but I’m trying. That’s all any of us can do to improve our situation as a race of HUMANS.

Our great country has fallen so far that I find that only after a disaster will others open up with great number. The double edge of that sword however is that it could further the decline of our society to barbarism. Its nice to hope for the best, but look what happened to Rome.

    I believe America has done more than enough for the black community. I would argue that the democrats have done too much and have become enablers of a corrupt black culture. Other black communities in other western nations do not have the same amount of problems – why? We have turned our black community into believing and acting like they are entitled – rather than having them stand on their own two feet.     The possessor of hate is that it is a corrosive acid that will eventually eat the person alive. It matters not how justified one is to hate. It matters not for what the hate is all about. It will kill the person seeking revenge.

    This tragic story of the two men reminds me of an incident from my extreme youth.

    Two of my friends wanted to go swimming at nearby gravel pit and they wanted me along. Very seldom did I get such an offer and I went to my Mom and asked her. We were new to this country at the time. Mom said no, it was dangerous.

    My friends berated me for obeying my mother instead of just going. I would always be a Momma’s boy tied to her apron strings according to them.

    They laughed at me and went on their way.

    The next day we read of a tragic accident. My friends had died that day! The gravel pit gave way and buried them under 6 feet of sand. Before anyone could arrive they were dead.

    I never went over to my friend’s house again. It was too painful for the parents to see me alive and their son dead. They asked that I stay away.

    I honored my parents, though I was too young to know anything. I was a Christian boy and I was strong enough to say no when temptation came.

    My friends grew up wild without parents interferring. That is why they died. The world is a dangerous place.

    Too few of our children are tied to their parent’s in a way that allows the parents to protect them. Too few know Christ.

    How many are on their own from 3 to 5 in the afternoon each day because their parent is not there?

    We have gotten into two parent wage earners. Our government makes laws favoring this situation. Yet over half the population is out of work. Don’t get me wrong. I think both parents need skills to be able to make a living in the event something happens to one of them and that happens too often that we have one parent homes or grandparents raising our children.

    If you look back, can we honestly say this young man that was killed was in the right place at the right time? Did anyone know where he was and what he was doing? Or was he a latch-key child?

    I honestly do not know enough about this young man to make a judgement.

    I think the community has to stop hiring amateur police to guard their home territory. I think that is part of a national problem.

    But when the response time in a community is more than a few minutes the police are not at fault because that community has not hired enough professionals to make things safe for everyone. Given that police are half an hour to 3 hours away there is no law except the law of the streets.

    This is especially true at night.

    It is false economy. How much did that trial actually cost the community? That money was best spent on having adequate police support when it was needed. Professionals not amateurs.

    Being a true professional policeman is an honorable profession. A lot has to change before we get that desired professionalism in our governing of the police of this community.
    Trust by the community is necessary to do a good job. That means getting away from brutality and getting the law to be a shepherd instead of a predatory agency wanting to put everyone in jail.
    Until that happens, we will have more killings happen to all of us. Someone has to keep a tight rein on how we police our communties.

    I’d say appropriate, but the religious components behind the argument unfortunately with many people are used to automatically and even violently dismiss the argument.
    ‘Religion is the biggest cause of war’ and etc than x and x.
    There are several things that such an argument ignores.
    1). Aside from the debate of which came first myth or religion, myth/religion are respectively the predecessors to math, science, psychology, sociology, and etc that many people take largely for granted today.
    2). Infanticide or otherwise Malthusian-Eugenicism actually dates as far back as the Paleolithic Era, the era humanity were largely nomadic with little to no stationary settlements.
    3). Religion, Ideology, and etc have always been used as tools by people who possess charisma/leadership positions to simultaneously garner support and demonize an opponent group and city-state/nation-state. The prime example off top of my had if I recall was the 30 Years War in which Richelieu desiring to position France as a super power with the King of France mobilized Protestant France behind the King to dismantle the Feudal Catholic Hapsburg Holy Roman Empire. I believe this is an important example because:
    First, After the war to this day, France remains a viable super-power (can’t say the US is the sole super-power as its infrastructure is gutted, the US Dollar’s reserve currency status and central pillar to its present governmental structure aka spending and size of government is eroding, and increasingly apparent operates domestic and international affairs through methods underlined in tempo/momentum are hardly attributes to a sole super-power).
    Second, Richelieu remains to this day considered the world’s first Prime Minister. Yes, I’m referring to one Cardinal Richelieu of France and heavily featured along with one Otto Von Bismark in Henry Kissinger’s book “Diplomacy” named after both his job as Secretary of State and at the time a board game owned by Avalon-Hill in which diplomacy or international affairs/diplomatic intrigue is heavily imbedded in the game’s progression.

    … Frankly, I think that the entire case and surrounding circumstances are disturbing.
    1). One news outlet edited the 911 call to rile racial tensions in response to not only the shooting itself but in effect defamation/slander of the actual and unedited format.
    2). The massive protests when Zimmerman was allowed to walk and was not arrested, and this was partially related to the edited 911 call. As some journalists noted, they try to make the person who they think is innocent and guilty and uses images to portray as much.
    3). One argument I’ve heard is why would someone show one’s self when the other is ‘brandishing’ a firearm. A). Martin’s hand injury is consistent with the inability for the semi-auto firearm Zimmerman was carrying with a concealed carry permit and failed to eject the spent round. For those who don’t know firearms at all, semi-auto handguns uses a slide to eject the spent round allowing the next round in the clip to feed into the chamber. The chamber still possessed the spent/fired round. B). Martin’s injury strongly suggests and collaborates that the firearm was unknown to Martin until becoming visible during the scuffle at which point the hand injury also substantiates the scuffle for the firearm. Some may be surprised to this day; I still have and overhear this argument.
    4). The whole premise between the threats of riots and violence in response to the jury’s verdict of not guilty/acquittal speaks volumes to the whole concept of due process. Due process centers around placing the burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt through evidence that the accused is guilty of the accused crime. To emphasize, the accuser or in this case the State/government must possess and present evidence that the defendant/accused is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. This is in effect deferred to as innocent until proven guilty. The response and threats of that response follows the same concept behind crime/terrorist prevention being guilty until proven innocent. Meaning, you have no privacy, no rights, no liberties, and no freedoms but privileges only after or at the discretion of the government who demands its subjects (not citizens) prove their innocence. This does two things:
    1). The burden of proof is placed upon the subject/accused. The TSA and others are in effect treating travels as guilty until proven innocent, and it enables the ability to in effect force people of limited means in particular the burden of proof. Put this into context of the NSA, FBI, CIA, and etc spying programs, if they want you, they got you in simple terms. In terms of the situation and case at hand, many people have already determined that the defendant/accused was guilty of the crime being charged, and there are many who are not happy about the jury’s decision.
    2). Guilty until proven innocent is profiling’s best friend. It means if you fit the profile and as a matter of proving innocence beyond a reasonable doubt or skips straight to sentencing is at the discretion of the state/government.

    To put it bluntly, guilty until proven innocent means that the populace possesses no rights, no liberties, and no freedoms; the populace of that government possesses privileges it can revoke at its discretion or through failure to ‘prove your innocence’. The underlining concept is that there are no civil rights but civil privileges. Martin Luther King once effectively said ‘violations of civil rights to one group is a violation of civil rights to everyone’. This is derived by the past precedent and justification used to in effect destroy civil rights at its whim.

    Michael, I have to comment on one of your bible quotes, which according to Judaism, is not part of the Bible, or Torah. Jesus misquoted a quote from Deut 6:5, where the last word is ‘might.’ In Hebrew, it is actually ‘money.’ That means if you are rich, you should give more charity and help more people, like the poor, sick, elderly, orphans, widows, etc. So, if we all want to love each other, G-d wants those who are financially more stable, to help whose in real need.

    No sorry, the only way to live in peace is to live in a country where you live with your own race. In a homogenous country there is no racism since they are all the same race. That is the answer.     This nation has gone backwards in term of civil rights and the way people treat each other in this country. The 60s and 70s were a time of acceptance, appreciation and tolerance but it’s been a steady downhill decline since the 80s. We have reached all time lows with this latest verdict. It’s easy to see why people are upset. Nothing in this country serves the people honestly and justly from any sector be it political, educational, financial, medical and now the latest judicial.     I have news for you. If the verdict had been “guilty” but Zimmerman was not given the maximum sentence (at least 30 years) there still would have been protests and riots. Next month or next year it will be demanded that blacks have to be given preferential treatment in hiring, a “reparations” yearly stipend, and/or free college tuition. Then it will be demanded that every African-American gets a free house and a new car. As those of you with spoiled teens know, if there is no “tough love” it goes on and on. And it will.

    Michael I like what you are saying but despite how you feel about the case, every black parent in America is clutching their child right now and wondering what kind of future they will have in a society that doesn’t value their existence. I have a daughter and I am aware that the world out their is filled with evil people who will try to bring harm to her. And if that happens, what kind of recourse do I have? This trial is the nightmare of every parent of every color out there. I don’t care what people think of Trayvon, I don’t want to hear any people breaking down what happened that night. I dont want to hear what George Zimmerman supporters think. This is how I feel.

    Stop with the race baiting! In 2010, 447 whites were murder by blacks but only 218 blacks were murdered by whites. Blacks are about 13 percent of the U.S. population. Almost 93% of blacks that are murdered in the U.S. are murdered by other blacks. Blacks accounted for 49% of all homicide victims in the US — again, almost exclusively at the hands of other blacks.

        He was probably trying to get the gun away from GZ and if he did survive, there is little doubt that we never would have heard about the incident from the leftists in the MSM and the black attorney general would have made sure that he walked free. Guns are not the problem–it’s gangsta thugs who want to fight all the time who are the problem.

    I’m a Canadian so it may be surprising that I would care, but my Mennonite ancestors were pioneers in Lancaster Pennsylvania in 1739. Our branch moved to Canada in 1804, but I have been in 45 states, and have 1st cousins in 6, including Florida, so I feel that I have some skin in the game.

    Racial tensions often arise because of foolishness. Treyvon Martin’s foolishness in being in a tense neighborhood, dressed in a provocative way, and acting in a provocative manner. But Treyvon was a kid,and kids quite normally do foolish things. George Zimmerman’s foolishness in not staying in his car when he was told to. But Mr. Zimmerman was a homeowner in a neighborhood that had been repeatedly vandalized by young black men who commonly wore hoodies.

    Then there was President Obama’s foolishness in
    injecting himself into the case; Al Sharpton and his ilk being typical race-baiting Al Sharptons; the prosecutor’s foolishness in not stating clearly
    that there was no case that would stand up in court; and the lawyers accepting an all-white jury.

    This tragedy was preventable, but now everyone is so busy trying to make their case that they forget to consider where this will lead.

    Michael Snyder’s blog got it right. It’s long past
    time to forget about color and how people look; and to begin to work tirelessly on being “blessed peacemakers”. Martin and Zimmerman and Obama and Sharpton didn’t even try.

      I respectfully disagree with your opinion that GZ should have stayed in the car. 1. GZ was the neighborhood watch captain. He has a duty and the right to check out what the young stranger was doing. 2. According to the details from the trial, the dispatcher asked him where he was, that’s why he stepped out to check on the name of the road he was on. TM had disappeared form GZ’s sight already. 3. He was walking back to his truck when TM confronted him and TM threw the first punch and started assaulting GZ. So nothing GZ did was illegal nor immoral. So according to the facts presented at the trail and collaborated by the evidences.

      Now of course we don’t know what happened during the confrontation prior to TM attacking GZ. So that is between GZ and God. If GZ provoked the fight first, even though our earthly court can’t held him responsible, but God will not let it slide. So we can rest assure Justice will be done.

    Yes, Michael – what I see most folks missing is this concept:
    The foundation of the love Jesus always referred to was sacrificial love.
    Any kind of REAL love = sacrifice.
    Once that foundation is in place then a decision to forgive is the undeniable next step.
    This is a deep issue – about the true condition of each individual’s heart. Here’s our example:
    Christ Loved us and chose to sacrifice for our benefit while we were yet His enemies.

    Wow, did anyone read the article? I totally agree with the views expressed in the article. Unfortunately, looks like some of us are too ignorant to see that the divisions among us are cultivated. Crying about how victimized you are by the educational system because they teach history is a JOKE. The ruling class keep us divided along political, racial and class lines. Meanwhile the super rich and elites are laughing all the way to the bank. Michael, applaud your effort and this article is just another reason I will heartily recommend this site to friends. Looks like some of your readers are too attached to their hate to evolve.

    Not to mention Warrior class III, history also teaches that whites were abolitionists, union soldiers, Underground Railroad participants, civil rights workers, and on and on. It never amazes me that the white separatists,/supremacists always claim that schools teach hatred of white men. I guess it all depends on which people in history you identify with. If you identify with the klan I guess you would feel that way. If you chose any one of a myriad of other groups to identify with I doubt you’d feel that way. The problem is with you.

    Jesus came unto His own & His own ( the Jews) received Him not. Jesus did not preach to the Gentiles nor did His disciples. The instruction love thy neighbour as you love yourself was an instruction to the tribes of Israel, who lived in the land of Israel to love each other not the Gentiles who lived amongst them. When we come up into the New Testament Church the new Israel becomes the Church & love your neighbour refers to other members of the Church, not those who preach another Gospel or who preach any other way to God except through Jesus Christ.The Christian is to withdraw themselves from the unrighteousness. Any man who does not provide for his own especially those of his own household has denied the faith & is as the heathen. Here we see we are to provide for our own, physically, mentally & spiritually

    I don’t believe in god. Even if the devil made it so the sun can blow up, why doesn’t god stop it? Exactly.
    People are people. Yet god makes us hate. Look at the middle east, look what god has done. I’m not saying we wouldn’t fight without religion, but at least it wouldn’t be because god told us to.
