New World Disorder: Emerging Division Between East And West Threatens To Plunge The Globe Into Chaos

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

East And West - Public DomainIn general, over the last several decades the world has experienced an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity.  The opening up of relations with China and the “end of the Cold War” resulted in an extended period of cooperation between east and west that was truly unique in the annals of history.  But now things are shifting.  The civil war in Ukraine and the crash of MH17 have created an enormous amount of tension between the United States and Russia, and many analysts believe that relations between the two superpowers are now even worse than they were during the end of the Cold War era.  In addition, the indictment of five PLA officers for cyber espionage and sharp disagreements over China’s territorial claims in the South China Sea (among other issues) have caused U.S. relations with China to dip to their lowest point since at least 1989.  So could the emerging division between the east and the west ultimately plunge us into a period of global chaos?  And what would that mean for the world economy?

For as long as most Americans can remember, the U.S. dollar and the U.S. financial system have been overwhelmingly dominant.  But now the powers of the east appear to be determined to break this monopoly.  Four of the BRICS nations (China, Russia, India and Brazil) are on the list of the top ten biggest economies on the planet, and they are starting to make moves to become much less dependent on the U.S.-centered financial system of the western world.  For example, just last week the BRICS nations established two new institutions which are intended to be alternatives to the World Bank and the IMF…

So in their summit, from July 14 to 16, the five BRICS announced two major initiatives aimed squarely at increasing their power in global finance. They announced the launch of the New Development Bank, headquartered in Shanghai, that will offer financing for development projects in the emerging world. The bank will act as an alternative to the Washington, D.C.—based World Bank. The BRICS also formed what they’re calling a Contingent Reserve Arrangement, a series of currency agreements which can be utilized to help them smooth over financial imbalances with the rest of the world. That’s something the IMF does now.

Clearly, the idea is to create institutions and processes to supplement — and perhaps eventually supplant — the functions of those managed by U.S. and Europe. And they would be resources that they could control on their own, without the annoying conditions that the World Bank and the IMF always slap on their loans and assistance.

This comes at a time when both China and Russia are seeking to emphasize their own currencies and move away from using the U.S. dollar so much.

Even in the western media, it is being admitted that China’s yuan is “a growing force in global finance“, and according to CNBC the use of Chinese currency in international trade is growing very rapidly…

Of the German companies profiled, 23 percent are using the renminbi to settle trades, up from 9 percent last year, while usage in Hong Kong rose to 58 percent from 50 percent and to 17 percent from 9 percent in the U.S.

Usage of the renminbi among French companies – a new addition to this year’s list – was high at 26 percent.

And of course Russia has been actively pursuing a “de-dollarization strategy” for months now.  Each new round of economic sanctions pushes Russia even further in the direction of independence from the U.S. dollar, and Gazprom has been working hard to get large customers to switch from paying for natural gas in dollars to paying for natural gas in euros and other currencies.  For much more on this, please see my previous article entitled “Russia Is Doing It – Russia Is Actually Abandoning The Dollar“.

At this point, it seems clear that Russia plans to permanently decouple from the U.S. economy and the U.S. financial system.  Just today we learned that Vladimir Putin plans to make Russia less dependent on U.S. companies such as IBM and Microsoft, and any future rounds of sanctions are likely to cause even more damage to U.S. firms that do business in Russia.

But potentially much more troubling for the U.S. economy is the startling deterioration in the relationship between the Obama administration and China.  Some analysts are even describing this as “a tipping point”

One day, the United States indicts five PLA officers for cybercrimes; the next, the United States claims victory in WTO disputes over car tariffs and rare earth minerals. All this is happening while the United States promises enduring support for Asian allies, and it has moved openly to challenge the legitimacy of Chinese territorial claims in the South China Sea. Meanwhile, China is busy creating facts on the ground and water. Last month, a $1 billion Chinese oil rig set up operations in territorial waters claimed by Vietnam. In the East China Sea, Chinese SU-27 fighter jets have come within 100 feet of Japanese surveillance aircraft.

This was all capped at the recent Shangri-La Asian Security dialogue in Singapore (Asia’s annual defense-ministers meeting): Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel bluntly described China’s behavior as “destabilizing, unilateral actions.” The PLA deputy chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Wang Guanzhong, accused the United States of “hegemonism.”

The mood has soured, more than the usual ups and downs of big-power relationships. The question now is not whether a “new type of relationship” is in the offing, but rather, whether U.S.-Chinese relations have reached a tipping point.

Most Americans could not care less about what China is doing in the South China Sea, but to the Chinese this is a very, very big deal.  In fact, China just sent a surveillance vessel to Hawaii as a bit of payback for what they regard as U.S. “provocations” in the region.

In the old days, China would have probably never have done such a thing.  But China is gaining confidence as the gap between the U.S. military and the Chinese military rapidly closes

Away from the Chinese military’s expanding capabilities in cyberspace and electronic warfare, Beijing is growing the size and reach of its naval fleet, advancing its air force and testing a host of new missiles, the Pentagon said Thursday.

An annual report to Congress on China’s evolving military capability concluded that the modernization was being driven in part by growing territorial disputes in the East and South China seas, as well as by Beijing’s desire to expand its presence and influence abroad.

In fact, the Chinese military has grown so powerful that we are now seeing headlines such as this one in The Week: “China thinks it can defeat America in battle”.

And the Russian military has made tremendous strides as well. Putin has been working hard to modernize the Russian nuclear arsenal, the Russians now have a “fifth generation” fighter jet that is supposedly far superior to the F-22 Raptor, and they have nuclear submarines that are so incredibly quiet that the U.S. Navy refers to them as “black holes“.

If Russia and China stay united, they are more than capable of providing a counterbalance to U.S. power around the globe.

But even if military conflict is not in our immediate future, the breakdown in relations between east and west could still have a dramatic impact on the global economy.

Over the years, the U.S. and China have developed a highly symbiotic relationship that fuels a tremendous amount of economic activity all over the planet.  Each year, we buy hundreds of billions of dollars of products from the Chinese.  Just imagine what our stores would look like if we took everything that was “made in China” out of them.  And after we send them giant piles of our money, we beg the Chinese to lend it back to us at ultra-low interest rates.  This arrangement has allowed China to become extremely wealthy and it has allowed Americans to enjoy a massively inflated standard of living fueled by ever increasing amounts of debt.

So what happens if this relationship starts breaking down?

Without a doubt, it could potentially lead to global chaos.

So keep a close eye on this emerging division between the east and the west.  It could end up being far more important than most Americans would ever dare to imagine.

      Wars and rumours of wars.

Rumours of wars are often worse and more distressing than wars themselves

      • Mike Smithy

You have touched on an interesting thread. It is my understanding that a “Rumor” is nothing more than an unsubstantiated claim of truth. It is a statement that lacks hard evidence. Tell me more about the biblical context of a “Rumor of War”.

        • GSOB

          Mark 13:7

“There would be a succession of calamities, one leading on to another.

Believers should take courage and prepare themselves for greater evils,… not really hoping for lasting peace with the current world order here on earth, ….but by patient endurance of evils here, reach on – towards a blessed and eternal rest for the fullness of the Kingdom to come is yet to arrive.

Our Lord, when his disciples asked him, as in one breath, about the destruction of their city, replied obscurely and ambiguously; mingling together the two events, in order that his disciples and the faithful through all times might be prepared, and never taken by surprise.

Some of our Lord’s predictions clearly refer to the generation back then, living on the earth.

The salvation promised is more than deliverance from evil, it is everlasting blessedness.”

Prove your claims. Hamas fires off the Qassam’s first, Israel responds, and you lot go off on how Israel’s at fault. That’s been well documented. We all know better than to trust tripe like yours.

          • Mike Smithy

I am looking for additional context. Is it conceivable that Mark could not have perceived a time where the human race would have such things as the internet, telephone, radio, photographs and satellite imagery. Thus, the advancement of such technology could refute fact from fiction/insinuation/rumors? For example, although I have never been to the Ukraine, I am relatively certain that there is in fact a war taking place there. I base this upon nightly news reports, articles, photographs and videos via the internet. Therefore, I am confident that the war/conflict is more than just a rumor. It is likely to be rooted in fact. What are your thoughts?

Nobody in Russia or the US is that MAD.

“Mutual assured destruction, or mutually assured destruction (MAD),

is a doctrine of military strategy and national security policy in which a full-scale use of
high-yield weapons of mass destruction by two or more opposing sides would cause the complete annihilation of both the attacker and the defender.

It is based on the theory of deterrence where the threat of using strong weapons against the enemy prevents the enemy’s use of those same weapons.

The strategy is a form of Nash equilibrium in which neither side, once armed, has any incentive to initiate a conflict or to disarm.”

    …. but then again.

I know I have mentioned this before. The Isaiah 9 prophecy in which Russia and China would attack the U.S. and the Revelation 6 prophecy of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalpyse and the Four Blood Moons. Take note, the last Blood Moon of the four is a supermoon. Meaning that not only will it be red but it will be much closer to earth. What is striking about the Revelation 6 prophecy is that during which I believe is the last one there will be a major earthquake. Hopefully, we are not entering the Last Days but I believe realistically we are.

Israel is of course will be at the center of the world’s attention. The Blood Moon as far as Israel is concern is a bad omen. It seems from current events that seems to be correct.

There are enough events going on in this world to bring one to conclude that the stage is being set for the Antichrist and the False Prophet to arrive. I think Pope Francis fits the bill because of all the heresies for which he keeps spewing out, but that still remains to be seen.

    • davidmpark

The last days began over 150 years ago. Sorry, but this is what Daniel spoke of with the Abomination of Desolation. We’re living it.

Don’t worry, though. The Lord has a lot of good things in store for the faithful. 🙂

      • Mike

The last days began after the resurrection of Jesus. They will end when the Anti-Christ enters the scene to bring false peace to the chaotic world we are witnessing. The Abomination of Desolation is when the Anti-Christ walks into the 3rd temple in Jerusalem (not built yet) and proclaims himself to be God.

        • fredo

Enough of the bible, jesus and god. The reason you’re all in this mess is because of all that fantasy and lies.

          • davidmpark

No, the reason we’re all in this mess is because a minority wants power that isn’t theirs and a majority gave in.

We will speak about our faith – so, deal with it.

        • davidmpark

My faith, we have a very similar view, but with a few differences. We believe that the end of days began when the restoration of the Gospel took place back in 1830, but I know many don’t ascribe to that. Just wanted to touch base.

We also have a different outlook on the Gog and Magog war and the Anti-Christ. We believe that the final war began with the US Civil War, and then spread out to all the world. We are still fighting this war today in one form or another until the final battle that will stretch from Jerusalem and the surrounding area all the way to the Jezreel Valley. We also don’t believe that the Anti-Christ will be the only one. The one mentioned by all the prophets will be an exceptional anti-Christ (Gog of Magog), but there will be many anti-Christ’s on the earth at this time. We see two battles of Gog of Magog: one coming up now, the other after Christ’s millennial reign when the devil is loosed and men begin to doubt again in the Lord’s presence.

We also believe that it’s more difficult to pinpoint the exact nations that will instigate that last battle. Our view is that people individually will decide which side to go with since there will be an end of nations before Armageddon. Most will go with Gog and the anti-Christ’s, the Jew will finish gathering to their ancient inheritance, and the remnant faithful in Christ will gather to the American continents to build Zion, the New Jerusalem.

LOL, and how the h ell am I supposed to do that?

    • cynicfrombc

This kind of Bible interpretation is one of the main reasons for the decline of the Christian faith in the west over the last twenty five years. It makes a laughing stock of believers. Every time some crisis n the Middle East happens, out come the prophecy-buffs with their charts and their codes. Honestly, it’s all nonsense. In my relatively short life thus far (51 years), I’ve seen so many far-out predictions come to . But not to worry, the experts quickly re-calibrate their formulas and their charts and confidently make new predictions. It’s really making a mockery of the Word of God.

      • Kent Harris

Let us assume you are correct. That we should not be looking for the return of Christ and that any signs are to be discarded.
I take a different approach. When I see viable sign such as like we are seeing the worst drought in the history of California in nearly 140 years or we are seeing Yellowstone rising at the highest rate in 10 years particularly in the last 3 years where it has been rising at 3 inches per year. We could also look at the amount of earthquakes which have occurred from 1900 until now and there has been a 6-fold increase. The fact that Israel is about to hit 70 years and from a Biblical prospective there always been something inferred by it by God. The fact that Israel now has the 10th red heifer and we haven’t seen one in 2000 years. The fact that Israel has a computer animation of the Third Temple and all the sacraments to begin the animal sacrifices again.
People no longer take seriously what is happening around them any longer and believe just as Peter warned would happen in the Last Days. They would mock Christ’s Second Coming.

        • cynicfrombc

God doesn’t want you to be counting earthquakes. The time of Christ’s return is the Lord’s business and not in any way that of believers. Let’s just fulfil our responsibility to live godly and believing lives no matter what time of the day it is on God’s clock. As for the signs of Matthew 24, they all pertain to an even that happened in the first century – as Christ himself makes abundantly clear when he says, “this generation will not pass away until all these things are accomplished.”

I’ve said so many times that the United States, and pretty much the entire America’s, has more than the capacity to become completely self-reliant. We have the resources, we have the land, we have the people, we have the ingenuity, we have the Gospel of Christ – we are more than capable of this.

    • FortuneSeek3rz

The question remains, do we have the energy? As in fossil fuels. Sure we could survive for a time. But for how long? We import a lot of oil currently.

      • anonymous1

There have been multiple scientists that have found energy beyond fossil fuels (remember Tesla and his ambient energy-which meant electricity would be free for everyone). It sure seems like there are very powerful, wealthy people that want to keep them quiet about it though.

      • davidmpark

They’re not “fossil” fuels. The underground water molecules and the earth’s mantle recreate oil continuously.

The earth renews itself everyday. Our problem is enough people believe myths and pseudoscience to halt true progress.

        • Gay Veteran

and how much would it cost per barrel to obtain this “oil”?

          • davidmpark

Have you never read the federal codes and register? Most of those taxes and regulations can be discarded by Congress without any issues – except from the environmentalist cults. We can have the cheapest energy if the nation really wanted it.

          • Gay Veteran

            so you say

So, you never read the federal codes and registers? And yet, you claim enlightenment and superiority.

Correct me if I am wrong. Isn’t the world already in chaos? What is up with Malaysia airlines? A missing airliner, setting a flight plan that is going directly over a military no fly zone. Israel and Hamas, The southern border in crises. This is surreal. It is everything at once. It is like the globalists said lets throw everything at the sheeple including the kitchen sink.

RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become
old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and

RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to
keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach,
hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack
from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest,
    regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

Since so many wars are fought over beliefs, greed and need for power, perhaps the NWO will eliminate these stumbling blocks. If humanity cannot be tolerant of another’s individuality, then the OWG is kind of a fix. We will all be the same.
It’s too bad humans cannot be more tolerant of other’s culture and beliefs. We have so much to learn from each other but most are so closed minded and fear things they do not understand and act out dangerously and put innocent people in harm’s way.
The NWO in many ways is a fix. It creates a level playing field where no one will be allowed to think they know more or are better than anyone else. If they step out of line, they will pay with their lives. Sounds severe, but they are many innocent people suffering today because of the chaos created by a few who feel entitled to do so. We know who they are. The crimes against humanity seem to be growing with each passing day.

      • Rodster

The NWO/OWG is not about tolerance or acceptance. No, it’s all about Ultimate POWER and CONTROL !
It’s like in the movie, The Hunger Games.

        • piccadillybabe

Yes, many fear the NWO/OWG but those same people are intolerant of others who are not exactly like them in mind and body.
Because of humanity’s lack of acceptance of others, we will end up with the NWO/OWG for better or worse.
Sadly, we have brought this on ourselves and have no one to blame.

          • cynicfrombc

So what makes you so sure that what the NWO comes up with will be better than the current world order with independent sovereign states? If near total power ends up in just a few hands, the end result will be an unimaginable concentration of evil. It will mean slavery for most people. But perhaps that’s what you prefer: you’d rather be a mindless slave with safety than a free person living with a few risks. For normal people who value liberty, the NWO is much, much worse than anything the present system could devise.

      • Airedale

” It creates a level playing field where no one will be allowed to think they know more or are better than anyone else. If they step out of line, they will pay with their lives. Sounds severe, ”
Sounds like a system Hitler and Stalin tried to build. Who will be our elitist masters that will determine what we should think and who is stepping out of line?

        • piccadillybabe

Hitler/Stalin regime is the exact opposite of what the NWO will be. Acceptance and tolerance is what the NWO is all about.

          • cynicfrombc

Either you are joking or you a nitwit. If you want to know what the NWO is about, imagine a boot stamping on a human face. That’s the reality behind all the nice words.

The US does not have any substantial quantity of gold. Get real. Folks often talk about how gold will be re-inrtoduced into the monetary system at $10,000, but they ALL forget one critical issue, namely this: when it comes to something precious like gold, the US has demonstrated time & time again, that they simply CANNOT be trusted. The US can never, ever again, be trusted to be honest with gold. Other countries can, but the US, no way, not in a million years.

So we do not look at what we can see right now, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen. The troubles will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.

For we know that when this tent we live in now is taken down—when we die and leave these bodies—we will have wonderful new bodies in heaven, homes that will be ours forevermore, made for us by God himself and not by human hands.

How weary we grow of our present bodies. That is why we look forward eagerly to the day when we shall have heavenly bodies that we shall put on like new clothes.

For we shall not be merely spirits without bodies.
These earthly bodies make us groan and sigh but we wouldn’t like to think of dying and having no bodies at all.

We want to slip into our new bodies so that these dying bodies will, as it were, be swallowed up by everlasting life. This is what God has prepared for us, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit.

Now we look forward with confidence to our resurrected bodies, realizing that every moment we spend in these earthly bodies is time spent away from our eternal home in heaven with Jesus. We know these things are true by believing, not by seeing. And we are not afraid but are quite content to die, for then we will be at home with the Lord.

So our aim is to please him always in everything we do, whether we are here in this body or away from this body and with him in heaven. For we must all stand before Christ to be judged and have our lives laid bare—before him. Each of us will receive whatever he deserves for the good or bad things he has done in his earthly body.

It is because of this solemn fear of the Lord, which is ever present in our minds, that we work so hard to win others. God knows our hearts, that they are pure in this matter, and I hope that, deep within, you really know it too.

“Though our bodies are dying, our inner strength in the Lord is growing every day.
These troubles and sufferings of ours are, after all, quite small and won’t last very long. Yet this short time of distress will result in God’s richest blessing upon us forever and ever!”
Absolutely unbelievable! The worse things get (courtesy “Our Lord”) the MORE these deluded idiots hanker after this melifluous being that nobody’s ever seen or even been able to contact via an 800-number!
Then you wonder why the human race is capable of destroying itself. Wonder no more. We’re all mad!

Seems to me the White House has become the Black’s House if ya know what I mean.

What better way to force the AU (American Union) onto everyone, and merge countries, and blur borders than through mass immigration. The AU, and EU is all just part of the plan for One World Government, Currency, etc.

  • anonymous1

Watch the movie “Looper.” It shows the USA after collapse and it’s citizens using Chinese paper money, gold, and silver as currency. It’s like Hollywood knows what is planned and they tell us about it so we will just accept it when it happens.

      Just so; ‘Predictive Programming’.

Why is the US administration and its media cohorts hit Putin at every turn? Blame him for everything? Tries to turn Putin into some kind of Axis of Evil 2.0? A few reasons:

    1) Russia was invited to join the G7 about a decade ago. But G7 is a club where the US president is the godfather, make the final decisions on everything. Nothing moves without the godfather’s OK. But Putin won’t play along. You can’t have two godfathers, or an underboss who won’t play along. So they kicked Putin out and now hit him at every turn.

    2) Key to US willingness to amass some $17 trillion in national debt is the belief that the rest of the world will pay for most of it. That’s because by inflating the US dollar over time, where half of the dollar issued is used by foreign countries, the debt reduction will be borne by these foreign countries. This is such an old game the US treat it as a universe-size sacred cow to be milked as desired. However, two countries refused to play along – China and Russia. But China did buy $1 trillion of US debt, and therefore will not be punished the Washington. Russia did not. Indeed, Putin is implementing a strategy of purging the US dollar from a Eurasian economic union zone he is setting up. And Russia is founding member of the Shanghai Group, an economic cooperative zone from China to Persia that also will not use the US dollar for trade and reserve. This makes Putin the biggest target of American retaliation. This is currency world war the US is waging.

    3) The third major reason is Putin appears successfully thwarted NATO expansion to Georgia and Ukraine. Putin played the game masterfully, while NATO failed at every turn. Along with 1), he manage to bruise the considerable ‘Leader of the Free World’ ego of the American president. Well, hitting him back is then a personal thing. To show who is boss of the world.

Its just a matter of time before China starts unloading US debt.Obviously, this is a slow process and will take a few years. So for a few years more,US can keep printing money

  • The parallels between WW2 and WW3 are eerily similar for those of us who study and understand the real cause and real history of WW2 as opposed to the hollywood version (viz., Saving Private Ridiculous ~ Michael Parenti’s wording) that most people think is the real truth of WW2. The big difference is that this time around the “axis of evil”, i.e., Russia are China (plus their allies) have their rear flanks protected by the other, as opposed to Germany and Japan during WW2 that were continents apart. The “axis of the righteous” for this new round are the US/UK/Israel (plus their allies). Also, WW3, which I believe we are already in the midst of (it started on 9/11/01), will NOT be announced or openly declared as in open declarations of war by the nations involved. When the ICBMs are launched and exchanged, it will be the END of WW3, not the beginning.

This false flag terrorist shooting of Malaysian 777 on 7/17 by Kiev/CIA/Mossad (then immediately blame it on Putin and Russia in the presstitute lamestream media in the west which is a signature CIA cover operation) is a huge notch up for WW3, on par with 9/11 in terms of significance and meaning.

Weren’t both of those planes full of scientists? There is a website that keeps track of scientists that disappear, “commit suicide,” and so on. Both planes were the same airline, but if they both had scientists as passengers, isn’t that kinda fishy too? The wealthy are always so eager to send the poor into more wars; they just make up reasons with false flags.

I find it interesting that in the beginning of Science, it was used to discover the mysteries of God. Now, many scientists don’t believe in God. Yet, I wonder what the scientists that created such awful things will say to God when they have to explain why they would use their wisdom to create such horrible things? What will they say when He asks them why they didn’t use their gifts for good?

So, God is on our side? This mythical deity is some type of defense against military power? Really?

We may soon trace the biggest disorder in America to the 100,000 illegal alien gang members already here and spreading through every state. That is a bunch of volatile fuel about to explode across our land. These people are not just South Americans. Gangsters and terrorists from around the globe are included and prepared for battle in numerous ways.

what is so wrong with multilaterlism? why is a multipolar world so dreadful ?

  • K2

Michael, as countries become rich, they become powerful. You dint think china, india will perpetually remain poor like they were in the 70s did you?

  • K2

I am not wishing relationship between the west and east should sour, but
i am surprised at the surprise of the rise of china and india and them
thinking of dealing in their own currencies. It is inevitable. Nothing
goes on forever. So thinking that the dollar would remain the global
    currency forever is surprising.

Please consider writing an article about “The Tower” and “Empty Seat 666” as it seems like it has a lot to do with a One World Government.

  • DJohn1

Kill the nation that feeds you.
The symbiotic relationship between China and the United States benefits every one involved.
A smaller (but similar relationship) was going on with Russia.
That is until the Russians engaged in Grand Theft against American Companies abroad. And Putin was involved in that grand theft. That grand theft was on 60 minutes a few months ago. That it was aired on the national media at all is amazing.
Charlie’s War is a movie that describes an actual historic event. It is the reason Russia went broke the first time.
The trouble is all the pretty technical toys that cost billions are obsolete. The local rebels shot them down with small missiles from horseback.
We build large targets that cruise our oceans. These targets are called Aircraft Carriers. These targets cost billions of dollars to make. They are likely to survive about eleven minutes in a real modern conflict with anyone with sophisticated missile technology and massive numbers of small submarines launched from a much larger surface ship with 2 to 4 torpedoes a piece.
The people launching these small subs have all ready wrote those subs and the surface ship off. The idea being to take out the expensive weapons and leave us defenceless.
A similar operation happened prior to World War II. The navy was told. They were told that aircraft could take out their destroyers with suicide bombers. Japan did just that.
Our military is irresponsible in the purchase of multi-million and multi-billion dollar weapons.
Pearl Harbor was a hard lesson to learn. It will happen again IF we do not start waking up and doing things a lot different than the way we are doing them now. History repeats itself if one does not learn from history.
Obama has been getting rid of the old guard. Probably for good reasons. He has been dismantling and disarming missile sites. Also for good reasons.
The fact is that a lot of our hardware is overly expensive and is not capable of dealing with a modern world with sophisticated technology. It is no wonder that the Chinese and the Russians have fell for the same expensive toys.
Why would anyone buy Hummers from GM?
9 miles to a gallon of fuel?
Logistically that is just plain stupid.
The trouble is we are vulnerable. That has to change.
The solution is going to be something like SAC(Strategic Air Command). If you have floating missile sites like those bombers there is no way any country can avoid a war on their own soil if they start one. Those stationary missile sites were obsolete at the time of Kennedy in the 60s.
We put billions into a security system like Homeland Security.
Then we leave the back door open for anyone to come in.
Until this country shows a little bit of common sense in the way they defend us all, I suggest it is only a matter of time before one of the wolves at our door decide to feed.

      60 Minutes? corporate media propaganda

      • DJohn1

That is why I was shocked. I agree that it is propaganda most of the time. They stole 130 million dollars.

  • jakartaman

In 1991 I was sitting on a veranda drinking a Bigtang beer in Jakarta Indonesia.
I was talking to a young American and told him now that the Soviet Union has collapsed and America is the only super power Knowing human nature something will fill the void. I told him it will not be Sate on State but an east/west ideologic war. I am not smart but if you stay at 50,000 feet things become less confusing minus the daily manusia. I further suggested to him that the nature elolution of the earth will be to a one world government with no borders. He said America will never be gone and sucked up into a global morass.
Well folks – If you have not figured it out – Our president is a One world guy – who has done exactly what he said he was going to do – Fundermently change America.
We along with the whole world is on the verge of a massive economic collapse. When this does happen – soon – the elites will sit back and let the dust settle – The regional wars for resourses, the martial Law, The collapse of governments. What the eventual outcome will be is uncertian – but it will be governance by one world order.

    • grumpyhillbilly

I agree with you Obama is a one world guy, and the east versus west is about creating a world government. They may succeed, but I’m kinda thinking they may not. Tenure has kept western thinking locked in the later 19th century. Not so sure team east hasn’t opted to enter the 21st century. Of course it could be the east guiding us into the one world order.

  • Priszilla

I have no idea why the US is involved in an aircrash of a Malaysian airliner coming from the Netherlands, flying over Europe and crashing in the Ukraine.

    • Mike Smithy

      Me neither.

    • Pete

Because they want to demonize Russia for it, despite that fact that all the evidence is pointing to the puppet Ukrainian govt.involvement. Russia has nothing to gain from this crime, Ukrain and it’s US backers have everything.

    move to Israel

This nation will not allow me to leave because it thinks I belong to Them because I was born in their country.

They won’t give me a passport because they say I owe child support which I no longer pay because their system stills it from my children and everyone gets paid except my children to whom the money belongs.

This nation is over and good riddance.
