Power Mad Obama Offers Two Choices: Unconditional Surrender Or Default

Obama SleepingBarack Obama is warning that if he does not get everything that he wants that he will force the U.S. government into a devastating debt default which will cripple the entire global economy.  In essence, Obama has become so power mad that he is actually willing to take the entire planet hostage in order to achieve his goals.  A lot of people are blaming the government shutdown on the Republicans, but they have already voted to fund the entire government except for Obamacare.  The U.S. Constitution requires that all spending bills originate in the House of Representatives, and the House did their duty by passing a spending bill.  If the Senate or the President do not like the bill that the House has passed, then negotiations need to take place.  That is how our system works.  And the weak-kneed Republicans have already indicated that they are willing to give up virtually all of their prior demands.  In fact, if Obama offered all of them 20 dollar gift certificates to Denny’s to end this crisis they would probably jump at that deal.  But that is not good enough for Obama.  He has made it clear that he will settle for nothing less than the complete and unconditional surrender of the Republican Party.

Why is Obama doing this?  Why is Obama willing to bring the country to the brink of financial disaster?

It isn’t hard to figure out.  Just check out what one senior Obama administration official said last week

“We are winning…. It doesn’t really matter to us” how long the shutdown lasts “because what matters is the end result,” a senior Obama Administration official told the Wall Street Journal last week.

This is all about a political victory and crushing the Republicans.  Obama doesn’t really care how long this crisis lasts because he believes that he is getting the end result that he wants.

According to Obama, the Republican Party is just supposed to roll over and give him the exact spending bill that he wants and also give him another trillion dollar increase in the debt limit.

If the Republicans do not give him that, he is willing to plunge us into financial oblivion.

The funny thing is that most Americans do not want the debt limit increased.  According to one new poll, 58 percent of all Americans do not even want the debt ceiling to be increased by a single penny.

And recent polls show that Americans are against Obamacare by an average margin of about 10 percent.

But the pathetic Republican Party is actually willing to hand Obama a trillion dollar debt ceiling increase and fully fund Obamacare if Obama will at least give them something.

Unfortunately, Obama won’t even give them the time of day.

So don’t blame the Republicans for what is happening.  The Republicans have already compromised themselves to the point of utter disgrace.  If Obama had been willing to even compromise a couple of inches this entire crisis would already be over.

And nobody should be claiming that the Republicans won’t vote to end this shutdown.  They have already voted to end it.  The following is from a recent article by Thomas Sowell

There is really nothing complicated about the facts. The Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted all the money required to keep all government activities going — except for ObamaCare.

This is not a matter of opinion. You can check the Congressional Record.

As for the House of Representatives’ right to grant or withhold money, that is not a matter of opinion either. You can check the Constitution of the United States. All spending bills must originate in the House of Representatives, which means that Congressmen there have a right to decide whether or not they want to spend money on a particular government activity.

Whether ObamaCare is good, bad or indifferent is a matter of opinion. But it is a matter of fact that members of the House of Representatives have a right to make spending decisions based on their opinion.

Once again, the Republicans have already indicated that they are willing to fund Obamacare.  They just want Obama to throw them a bone.

And Obama will not do it.

So either the Republicans are going to cave in completely (a very real possibility) or we are going to pass the “debt ceiling deadline”.

What happens then?

Well, we would have more of a “real government shutdown” than the fake shutdown that we are having right now.

Once the federal government cannot borrow any more money, it will only be able to spend what it actually has on hand.  That means that a lot more government functions will have to shut down.

Money will still be coming in to the government, but it won’t be enough to fund everything.  According to the Wall Street Journal, the federal government will still have enough money to pay interest on the debt, make Social Security payments, make Medicare payments, make Medicaid payments, provide food stamp benefits and pay the military if they cut almost everything else out.

The other day, I suggested that the federal government could potentially start defaulting on interest payments on the debt as early as November.  But that would only happen if the federal government manages their money foolishly.

If the federal government managed their money smartly and saved cash for the interest payments as they came due, they would not have to miss any.

But when was the last time the federal government ever did anything “smartly”?

For the sake of argument, however, let’s assume that the federal government can manage money wisely and can save up enough cash ahead of time for large interest payments as they come due.

If that could somehow be managed, then according to Paul Mampilly the government would never need to actually default…

The U.S. Treasury always has money coming into its accounts. So its always got some amount of cash that it can use to pay interest on bonds. That’s especially true right now because the government is partially shutdown and there’s no cash going out from its accounts.

In fact, when you look at it the U.S. Treasury should simply have no trouble making interest payments on bonds that it has issued.

And there’s no restriction on the U.S. Treasury prioritizing interest payments. Why?

The obligation to pay interest is set by the 1917 Second Liberty Bond Act and laws that commanded the Treasury to pay interest on the debt. You can look this up in section 3123 of Title 31 of the U.S. Code and section 4 of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution and in Supreme Court precedent (Perry v. United States). It’s all there in black and white.

So the only possible way the U.S. defaults on its debt is if Barack Obama, President of the United States, instructs his Treasury secretary Jack Lew to default on the debt.

And according to the Washington Post, Moody’s has just issued a memo that also indicates that the federal government should be able to make all interest payments even if the debt limit is not increased…

In a memo being circulated on Capitol Hill Wednesday, Moody’s Investors Service offers “answers to frequently asked questions” about the government shutdown, now in its second week, and the federal debt limit. President Obama has said that, unless Congress acts to raise the $16.7 trillion limit by next Thursday, the nation will be at risk of default.

Not so, Moody’s says in the memo dated Oct. 7.

“We believe the government would continue to pay interest and principal on its debt even in the event that the debt limit is not raised, leaving its creditworthiness intact,” the memo says. “The debt limit restricts government expenditures to the amount of its incoming revenues; it does not prohibit the government from servicing its debt. There is no direct connection between the debt limit (actually the exhaustion of the Treasury’s extraordinary measures to raise funds) and a default.”

Of course the federal government would have to stop throwing money around like a drunk gambler at a casino in Las Vegas in order for this to work.

On the very first day of the government shutdown, the feds gave $445 million to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.  Apparently Elmo is considered to be “essential personnel” by the Obama administration.

And according to CNS News, the U.S. Army has committed more than $47,000 to buy a mechanical bull during this “shutdown”…

The government shutdown may be keeping furloughed federal workers at home, but on Monday the U.S. Army contracted to buy a mechanical bull.

The $47,174 contract was awarded on Oct. 7 to Mechanical Bull Sales Inc. of State College, Penn.

So needless to say, there is some serious doubt about whether the federal government would be able to manage their money effectively in the event that the debt ceiling deadline passes.

And if the U.S. did start defaulting on debt payments, it would be absolutely disastrous for the global economy as I discussed in a previous article

“A U.S. debt default would cause stocks to crash, would cause bonds to crash, would cause interest rates to soar wildly out of control, would cause a massive credit crunch, and would cause a derivatives panic that would be absolutely unprecedented.  And that would just be for starters.”

Other nations that we depend upon to lend us money would stop lending to us and would start dumping U.S. debt instead.

Could you imagine what would happen if China started dumping a large portion of the 1.3 trillion dollars in U.S. debt that they are holding?

It would be a total nightmare.  The collapse of Lehman Brothers would pale in comparison.

And already some banks are stuffing their ATM machines with extra cash just in case the general public starts to panic.

But none of this has to happen.

If Obama decides to negotiate with the Republicans, this crisis will likely end very rapidly.

If not, and we pass the “debt ceiling deadline”, the federal government will still have enough money to make interest payments on the debt as long as they manage their money correctly.

Unfortunately, Obama seems far more interested in playing political games than he is in solving our problems.

In fact, Park Service rangers have been ordered to “make life as difficult for people as we can” during this government shutdown.  Obama has apparently decided to punish the American people in order to get leverage on the Republicans.  Just check out the following example from a new Weekly Standard article

There’s a cute little historic site just outside of the capital in McLean, Virginia, called the Claude Moore Colonial Farm. They do historical reenactments, and once upon a time the National Park Service helped run the place. But in 1980, the NPS cut the farm out of its budget. A group of private citizens set up an endowment to take care of the farm’s expenses. Ever since, the site has operated independently through a combination of private donations and volunteer workers.

The Park Service told Claude Moore Colonial Farm to shut down.

The farm’s administrators appealed this directive—they explained that the Park Service doesn’t actually do anything for the historic site. The folks at the NPS were unmoved. And so, last week, the National Park Service found the scratch to send officers to the park to forcibly remove both volunteer workers and visitors.

Think about that for a minute. The Park Service, which is supposed to serve the public by administering parks, is now in the business of forcing parks they don’t administer to close. As Homer Simpson famously asked, did we lose a war?

The hypocrisy that Obama has demonstrated during this “government shutdown” has been astounding.

He has barricaded open air war memorials to keep military veterans from visiting them, but he temporarily reopened the National Mall so that a huge pro-immigration rally that would benefit him politically could be held.

He has continued to fund al-Qaeda rebels in Syria that are trying to overthrow the Syrian government, but he has been withholding death benefits from families of fallen U.S. soldiers.

The conduct of the Obama administration during this shutdown has been so egregious that is hard to put into words.  Obama has chosen to purposely harm the American people in order to score political points.

But this is how our politicians view us these days.  As Monty Pelerin recently explained, most of our politicians have absolutely no problem with exploiting us for their own purposes…

The concept of political service has been replaced by that of masked exploitation. The public is no longer viewed as clients or constituents to be served. Instead they have become political prey. Politicians see the public as a collection of wallets and votes, fair game to be hunted as the means to expand power and wealth. Constituents are now the Soylent Green of the political food chain.

The political class assumes the public exists to serve them, not the other way around. Public participation beyond the lightening of wallets or the provision of votes is unwelcome. It is considered “interference” that must be deterred by the ruling class.

The political class is now a huge, voracious parasite. Like the plant in the Little Shop of Horrors, its needs have grown to the point where it threatens anything productive. Its needs now exceed the willingness for continued sacrifice on the part of the productive. The parasite threatens the very existence of the host.

The political Ponzi scheme of tax, borrow and spend has reached its limit. Either it will die when citizens turn on it or it will kill the productive, ensuring its own destruction.

It perishes in the end. Whether it takes civilization with it is the bigger question.

Is there anyone out there that still does not believe that our system is broken?

Hopefully cooler heads will prevail and power mad Obama will decide to toss the Republicans a few crumbs and this crisis will be resolved.

Because if this crisis is not resolved soon, it could have consequences that are far beyond what any of us could possibly imagine.

And people wonder why I think he could be the anti-christ!

    • Guest

Honestly, I was thinking the same thing as I started reading the article.

      • ax prepper

Yes, but he loses in the end

        • Guest

          Yes!

    • ian

Really? Millions of people dont like obama and he is the Antichrist? Even amongst liberals he is not completely trusted. The bible says the antichrist will be so worshipped and honored that even the very elect will follow him. Obama harldy has that sort of power.

      • dmoon

That is true. The ones that follow Obama are the poor and those that want a hand out. Also the rich that want to keep milking the poor for what little they do have…..he isn’t Anti Christ material if you ask me!!! lol

      • Gay Veteran

people forget about the cult of personality that surrounded George W. Bush, just as bad as the Obots

        • SmallerGovNow

Total BS… The media NEVER worshipped Bush at all in fact the opposite. But the media fawns over the O like he is God himself…

          • Paul Patriot

Well said. Bush got criticized ( which he should have for some of the unbelievable things him and his father have done to this nation), but you must remember, than fans of obummer are like little parrots, they just repeat what is told them and believe what the media and government tell them with 100% sheeple like trust, and the Republican president before him, was pure evil, but, obummer can do no wrong in their eyes.

          • Gay Veteran

if you are indeed a patriot then you would understand that Bush was just as bad as Obama (though in a way Obama is WORSE than Bush because Obama gave the bipartisan seal of approval to ALL that Bush did)

          • Gay Veteran

was I talking about the corporate media? no

and btw, did the media seriously question Bush’s drive for a war of aggression against Iraq?

          • El Pollo de Oro

Gay Veteran: Very good points. When Phil Donahue was on MSNBC (now ONN, the Obama News Network), his bosses didn’t want him to criticize the Bush regime’s war in Iraq. The corporate media excluded anyone who opposed that war, and they served as a nonstop propaganda vehicle for one of the worst foreign policy blunders in the country’s history. There were a lot of libertarians and paleoconservatives who opposed that war, including Alex Jones, Ron Paul and Justin Raimondo. But Fox pretended they didn’t exist. I always recommend reading the website AntiWar dot com because it’s a libertaran/paleoconservative site that takes both Democraps and Republi-Cons to take for their war-crazed imperialism.

          • Gay Veteran

            Good points.
There were a LOT of people who opposed the war (and bailing out the banksters). But the government is not run for the benefit of the people.

          • El Pollo de Oro

No, the government definitely isn’t run for the people’s benefit. That’s for sure. When the banksters call, our politicians say, “Yes, master.”

          • Gay Veteran

            total BS, eh?

So you think Fox didn’t worship Bush? the Wall Street Journal?

      • GSOB

“The bible says the antichrist will be so worshipped and honored that even the very elect will follow him.”

        Please, what verses?

    • Peace Angel

The Governor of Oklahoma recommended in the one major paper that all Oklahomans read “The Case Against Obama” BEFORE his first election and so many people did that THEY decided he was the anti-christ BEFORE his first election. I hate to give him that kind of credit BUT he is the very best puppet for the Bilderberg group who selected him two times to rule the nation and he got a 45 million dollar mansion in Hawaii already from them for his first term efforts. He is looking more and more like the AC every single day. NONE of the other BB puppets did their evil work with such zest and certainly none of them spent our money like he has or added to the national debt like he has. IF OBAMA is not the AC then I hope I am dead and gone when HE does show up.

      • DownWithLibs

All true PA. We don’t know who he is, where he came from and I have never in my life seen a more “bullet proof” politician. Something is definitely off with this one.

      • 2Gary2

        they can read in Oklahoma?

      • sharonsj

Maybe you should have read “Bushwhacked” by Molly Ivins before you voted for George W. Bush….

    • 2Gary2

      back in the real world…

  • K

Michael, you give Obama far too much credit. He is just a puppet, doing as he is told. As is most of the rest of D.C. You want proof. It seemed Obama wanted to attack Syria, in the worst way possible. Yet for one brief moment America woke up and said no. The puppet masters told him to sit down and shutup. You see the only thing they fear is this Country waking up. If Obama was the madman you think, he would have attacked Syria anyway. Remember the plan is to totally cripple the American economy. Seems like that is right on target. As to the little insane orders as of late. As I said in an earlier post, just a test. Which so far we are failing badly.

    • mim

They threatened to impeach O if he declared war And because they wouldnt give him the okay, and since he already waged war on his own without permission he knew twice wasnt a good idea.

      • K

No one threatened him, that could have pulled it off. There would have been no where near enough votes. After Clinton they do not want another impeachment that they lose. No. with the forces already in place. A madman would have attacked.

    • Gay Veteran

another explanation is that Putin and the Chinese told Obama that they would dump their U.S. Treasury bonds if Obama attacked Syrina

      • K

That would not be enough to stop a madman. Look at history. Once a madman makes a plan, they never back down. What I am trying to point out is, Government is corrupt to the core. Replacing any one man will change nothing.

        • Gay Veteran

I think Obama (like a LOT of politicians) is “mad” in the sense that he’s a psychopath. But psychopaths can be forced to back down in a particular situation. Of course they remain psychopaths.

  • Das

Can some one explain to me why P.M.s are dropping so fast? I don’t get it. Thought they would go up or stay steady with talk of a U.S default

    • Tim

The (paper) prices are being suppressed by the bullion banks through naked shorting and other manipulative schemes. It seems that the suppression intensified a couple years ago as the collapse of the fiat currency Ponzi scheme accelerated. I’m anxious to see what the Cartel (i.e. the bullion banks) will do to the PM prices when the debt ceiling is increased as they cannot allow gold and silver prices to get away from them. However, China has been taking advantage of the price suppression by buying record amounts of gold. They are literally draining Western vaults of gold. And that gold is gone for good. So the manipulation cannot go on forever. PM holders will have their day.

      • Gay Veteran

        very well written

As i’ve said many times. It’s all a chess match of POWER and CONTROL. Neither side of the same coin gives a flying flip about any of us. It’s all a POWER game to see who gets to CONTROL the Serfs aka little people.

It’s sad that so many take sides with this “collectivist and progressive” group. Their main GOAL is to make you so POOR that you need them to survive. Once they HOOK you they promise to give you more FREE STUFF in exchange for more POWER and CONTROL.

Too bad Gary2 still doesn’t get the game and that he’s being played for a fool. ;)

The American people needs to rise up and take back this country before it’s too late. We need to see protest in DC that are similar to the Egypt protest, with millions of Americans marching in front of the White House and the Capitol day and night until all of the legislative and executive branch steps down. If that doesn’t work then it’s time for an armed American Revolution.

  • LY G

I don’t understand this system but I understand the fast Fed’s money printing machine runs, the less value of our money is worth. Actually our government has no spending limit as long as they own Fed.

    • marc

      The Fed owns the government

  • DDuana

Oh, please. Obama will never compromise on Obamacare, because that is his legacy.

The Republicans know that, that is why they decided to poke a finger into Obama’s eye with this Obamacare shenenigan, even though Boehner had a prior agreement with Harry Reid back in July to pass a “clean bill”. Boehner then reneged on that offer and is now playing the victim. He admitted all this on Stepenopoulous’ show.

So let’s drop this whole “Obama wants to default” nonsense and point the fingers at those who hate the Federal government so much that they want the Federal government to crash and burn, thinking it could save them money. To pretend otherwise is just being a tad bit disingenuous.

  • markthetruth

First you already mentioned that there’s a need to raise the Debt Limit as they cannot pay all the bills with the income they receive !

Republican’s do have a way out, they just have to call the bill they are going to pass as Obama Budget passed by 90% Democrats and a few Republicans .As the Chief is Mr. know it all . Who doesn’t want to fix anything and if you try to he will just sink the ship.

Boehner just needs tell the truth that the Chief Says his way or no way or screw the People . Leaving the Blame on Obama that he Doesn’t care about what the People Want !!!

    the end…

    • chilller

A Moody’s report yesterday said they can pay their bills with the money they have…just won’t have any discretionary $$$ left over to blow like usual.

      • DownWithLibs

But they will blow it, default, then blame Boehner! Text book.

  • DJohn1

The answer is simple. Impeach the man. But to do that would require people from both parties acting in a manner consistent with their jobs as Congressmen.

Both sides seem to be unable to do that as individuals. Both parties take a blind side and follow party directives.
I suggest if you do impeach him it be on multiple charges not just one charge.
Then go and throw the ObamaCare law right off the books. Don’t worry about funding or not funding it. Simply put a vote together to repeal it.
The sad news is the opposition in this case doesn’t have the guts to try that. So the government will go on with a Democratic majority in one house and the executive branch. What do you do with a 500 pound Canary? Just about anything the Canary wants.,

    • FedUpWithUneducatedVoters

You do know that a crime has to be committed before impeachment can take place, right?
You can’t impeach someone just because you don’t like them.
Sheesh, uneducated people yelling out for impeachment.
If George Bush wasn’t impeached for lying about wiretaps on US citizens, or starting a war based on lies and misinformation, then don’t expect Obama to be impeached any time soon.

      • DJohn1

You bring up an interesting point. What exactly does it take to get impeached? There have been reports that he was not born on U.S. Territory. That his birth certificate might be a fraud.
His name change left him disbarred in Illinois. So he cannot practice law.

He took advantage of foreign birth in his education. (He originally claimed alien status.)
And that is just one possible impeachment offense. The deal to give weapons to Mexican Gangs in the Southwest has been brought up.
There are suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of an ambassador.
There is election fraud in the last election. Apparently ID laws allowed a lot of dead people to vote.

So what does it take to have impeachment charges against a President? I think you have to have a majority in the Congress, both houses, to get charges started no matter what the person has done.

        • sharonsj

Obviously you haven’t bothered to read the legal definition of who is an American citizen. Even if born in a foreign country (though last I looked, Hawaii was part of the U.S.), since his mother was an American citizen, so is he.

I’ll skip the rest of your delusional crap and go straight to election fraud. Both of Geo. W. Bush’s elections were marked by tampering with computerized voting machines. And I spent a lot of time running down claims of voter fraud–just about every Republican claim turned out to be a lie. I’d list them all but I bet you wouldn’t believe me.

          • DJohn1

The point is he might have been born in Kenya. The last I heard that wasn’t a state. The wording is born on American Soil. I am a naturalized citizen. So yes I am familiar with the wording and I am not eligible to be a candidate for President. People a lot smarter than me have claimed that he is on a falsefied passport and an altered birth certificate.
I would not put lies in office past anyone of either party.
As for voter fraud with computers that is an easy one. I suggest we do away with computers in elections and strictly enforce voter registration laws. At any other time, the American public has used the driver’s license as proper id. Even non-driving people have an id in today’s world. The numbers do not add up correctly in the last election and that is fact.

I think he would have been elected anyway. The people that the Republicans have put up for election are not worthy of election.

there’s going to be a day when we will not even be able to raise the debt then what America is just buying time the real pain will come when America people will have to face that we cannot keep kicking the can down the road because we are running out of road a higher interest rate on our debt is all it will take believe me it is going to come

  • John David Akers

I don’t have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It’s a depression. Everybody’s out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel’s worth. Banks are going bust. Shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there’s nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there’s no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that’s the way it’s supposed to be.
We know things are bad — worse than bad. They’re crazy. It’s like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don’t go out anymore. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is: ‘Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials and I won’t say anything. Just leave us alone.’
Well, I’m not gonna leave you alone. I want you to get MAD! I don’t want you to protest. I don’t want you to riot — I don’t want you to write to your congressman, because I wouldn’t know what to tell you to write. I don’t know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first you’ve got to get mad. [shouting] You’ve got to say: ‘I’m a human being, god-dammit! My life has value!’
So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell: I’M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

You’re 100% correct! Whenever the economy seems like it is picking up steam, the price of gas, real estate…many staples in our lives jump up too. A system designed to self destruct at the first glimpse of an upturn.

I’m in total agreement. When I read this:

Once the federal government cannot borrow any more money, it will only be able to spend what it actually has on hand. That means that a lot more government functions will have to shut down.

I said, “GOOD.” Let it shut down. I would love to see the thugs in Washington DC not get a paycheck.

We might be surprised to see how little we need whatever it is they are doing. That is what Oblamer should be worried about — the public realizing how little they get from the fed.

      • eric blair

Trust me, they will still get their paychecks, and they will pay themselves with YOUR money. remember what happened in Cyprus, and more recently in Poland?

They’re also widely misinformed. A lot of people think Obamacare is a single payer socialized health care system. They continually equate it to a Canadian system of healthcare. In reality it is a Fascist mandate, meant to feed the insurance companies as much wealth as can be fed before dollar collapse.

          • Olivia Samms

I’m a manager at the largest ObamaCare call center. Make no mistake about it, the Affordable Care Act will bankrupt all insurance companies. A lot of people will not get insurance until they get a chronic disease, then they will have a qualifying life event (move to another state, get divorced, etc.) and then get insurance. At that point, insurance companies cannot prevent them from getting a policy because of the ban on preexisting conditions. And there is NO lifetime cap on payouts. At that point, the insurance companies go broke. Then O-blahblah rolls out the single payer system. Welcome to socialism.

You actually believe that the voting process for presidential elections actually works??
The globalists are the proverbial man behind the curtain running everything and directing everything to their plan.
It is no mistake or chance of votes that obummer got in to finalize all the ground work for the new world order than GW laid with his homeland security, tsa and war on terrorism.

        • markthetruth

You have to start from the bottom up , the towns, states, senators then the president. The issue is the same old people keep getting voted in because people are lazy and don’t really know about anything about the new guys or the news and to it hits them. They are just continue their daily routine until they get into a accident , or loose their wallet , purse or job. People are now “Reactive” instead of Proactive which is the issue.

          the end…

          • Fredd

Here ya go again, politics is not the answer. These buffoons cant even wipe their behinds without being told to by the real powers that be. • markthetruth

Like it or not there has to be a Government and there will be Politics Fact !!! Yes it’s gotten way to big and we have to shrink it as it’s become a Corporation .

The power to govern comes directly from the people, not through !

          • Jacob

            Not anymore

          • markthetruth

Only because the Americans are spoiled and Don’t like Responsibilities and don’t care to get involved in their part .

            the end…

          • Jacob

It is past responsibilities and laziness. We as a people, at least in my state, don’t have any choice other than crony 1) Democrat and Crony 2) Republican. In order to achieve as much funds, which allows the spreading of the manipulation to get elected one must sell their soul to an overall cause; a cause that doesn’t involve the little man, such as me and you. I believe that much of our problems are caused through laziness, unfortunately the only way to fix our system now is to achieve collapse, which will force those worthy enough to live not to laze on their chairs while politicians kill people in other countries, and hand out tax payer money to lazy people and countries. Now the part of the American populace isn’t voting in an educated way, it is preparing to take the full blunt force of collapse and fascist globalization.

          • markthetruth

American populace is only educated in Entertainment and Fast Food and Shopping into Debt.

            the end…

Your living in la la land…We dont vote for anyone. Its an illusion the elite give us to make us believe we are free…We are not free! And our votes have meant nothing for a long time now

        • Hawaiianfive0

I totally agree Fredd and have thought that for a long time now. There is no way we had that many people who voted for Obama twice! The voting system is a complete sham and every time I hear someone say that Obama was elected by the people or Obamacare was what the people want and they voted for it just makes me sick.

Anyways, Obama cannot compromise on Obamacare, because the GOP’s ultimate goal is to destroy Obamacare through defunding. So if Obama gives in this time, the GOP will just keep doing the same thing and Obamacare will become a meaningless law, which is what the GOP wants.

  • Rene Girrard

This is a bizzare world we live in because of “electronic money”. Doesn’t Obama just tell Bernanke to put another $1 trillion on the fed computer? Then the money gets transferred electronically to thousands of different places in different amounts. Money is created out of thin air where no goods or services were performed for that money to be earned. This is so difficult for me to understand. Theoretically shouldn’t this cause runaway inflation? But, real inflation is probably 7 to 10% a year. It sure isn’t the 2 or 3% we are told it is. But it isn’t Zimbabwe type inflation either. Then Obama lies to us and says we won’t have money for this or that when he knows full well he can tell Yellan to just put whatever is needed on the computer. He is just pretending we are running out of money so he can force Obamacare on all of us. We live in a bizzare world of deception in the U.S. financial markets. How can the common man really know what is going on when the feds do everything in secrecy? How can we predict the end results of whatever it is they are doing that they aren’t telling us about?

    • MarkOH

We are on our way to hyperinflation. It’s just a matter of time. In fact, hyperinflation is the plan of the government —– this is the only way they can keep Entitlement Programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Disability.
The plan is, inflation runs 10% so they increase benefit payments 10%; but within a month inflation has outpaced that and is running an additional 10%. So recipients of entitlement payments will see the purchasing power of their benefits become less and less each month. These payment are adjusted for inflation ONCE A YEAR. There’s the key. Recipients of Entitlements will see their benefits being cut by a huge percentage relative to the cost of goods and services.

    • stopthesocialism

Defense is $600 billion, and the deficit is $900 billion. You could cut defense out entirely, and you would still have a $300 billion deficit.
The problem is entitlements. Obamacare is just one more huge entitlement. Nobody really knows what it will cost, until after it has been implemented.
And the national parks are run by the admin. E.g. Obamau.

      • Ralfine

so, whenever your president changes, you change all personnel in admin to the new party?

Great article – you should forward to every major newspaper in the country. The people need to really know what is going on! I am sick of both parties playing games and lying! This is what happens when any one party has a monopoly in a Congress.

    We cannot redo the election.
What can be done is to send a clear message to all the members of Congress that this is not an acceptable way to do business.
Obama does not have to worry about it. He is history in about 2 years and he knows it.

There is short term and long term policy. If you want a party with an approval rate of 37% going into the next election 2014 then by all means continue as the democrats are doing.
So what happens next? Because what is likely to happen is a complete break down and then what?
Normally to be all ready elected means you have a good shot at re-election . . .
When push comes to shove I think both parties need to realise the end result will be to be in office right now means you are unelectable in the next election.

This will not go over for well for Obama.I can think of at least 3 reasons why
    1) Americans are not Europeans, they will not take the abuse the Europeans put up with
2)Because of the internet,Americans for the first time are getting real info into what is going on in Washington. They will act on this info!
3)When the American public gets no relief from the Federal Gov’t in Washington, they will turn up the heat on State & local governments & power will begin to devolve back to the individual states.

There is no debt in the technical sense. The currency issuer, the US, differs from currency users, such as households, firms, states, municipalities, etc.

US Treasuries are dollars (reserves) that have a maturity and a coupon (interest). In order for the FED to pay off the “debt”, all it does it debit securities accounts and credit reserve accounts.

In point of fact, the US rolled over $62 trillion last year and there wasn’t any hyperinflation, rates didn’t skyrocket, nor did the dollar collapse.

The members of Congress are so ignorant about monetary operations they shouldn’t all be summarily dismissed. Rand Paul needs to go to hi local community college and take some accounting and macro classes. The level of ignorance is astounding.

“Could you imagine what would happen if China started dumping a large portion of the 1.3 trillion dollars in U.S. debt that they are holding?”

Um…nothing would happen. In order for China to “dump” US dollars, they would have purchase real and goods and services produced by Americans. We don’t “borrow” our own fiat from China or anyone else. China desires to save in US financial assets. They us send stuff, and they get a reserve account at the FED with dollars, that’s about it.

We should just eliminate Treasuries, they’re a leftover from the days of the gold standard. They’re no longer required from an operational standpoint so to speak. We could just pay the same amount of interest on reserve accounts, as opposed to obsessing over “US public debt”.

The “US public debt” represents national equity. In other words, it’s the total savings of the US economy, which represent the desire of the private sector to save in US financial assets. Treasuries, at the end of the day, are nothing more than dollar deposits over at the FED.

    • Gay Veteran

you keep posting the same old garbage!

          • TonyS

The market doesn’t set interest rates, the central bank does.

For example, in 2009, the FED had around $800 billion in mortgage-backed securities to purchase so that they could meet their $1.25 trillion target the end of the year.

The Federal Reserve added reserves, interest rates decreased. Wow, incredible, lol. What’s amazes me is that people still believe the market sets rates.

You can lead a horse to water….

          • TonyS

Let me help you some more: in terms of interest rates, the FED will only act during various time periods. The FED sets the rate all along the term structure, but will allow for some variations between the IOR rate and discount. Interest rates are a policy decision. This all boils down on how the FED wants to manage their QE. If the FED see rates increase, they don’t have to do anything, unless they want rates to be different.

Secondly, government deficits decrease interest rates. They relieve pressure on actual interest rates, since bank reserves are being added to the banking system and not being removed. In point of fact, interest rates are held constant by the FED, as part of its policy and exercising its authority.

      • stopthesocialism

The Fed would buy those bonds with printed money.

Of course it’s all Obama’s fault. Because republicans are never responsible for anything bad. I’m disappointed in today’s one-sided article.

    NATIONWIDE BAIL-IN COMING!

I can see it now…”We must ask the American people to take a haircut in order to make the interest payment on our debt. It’s the American thing to do.”

    (((cheers from the Party)))

Get ready. Money in the bank isn’t yours.

yep, right in the middle of a bank “holiday”

Stage is set isn’t it. Easy thing to do. All these bank cyber drills the last couple of years. No deal. Obama gives a national address saying just what you wrote. Blames the Republicans…Poof!!! Bank accounts emptied, retirement accounts emptied….

“…The funny thing is that most Americans do not want the debt limit increased. According to one new poll, 58 percent of all Americans do not even want the debt ceiling to be increased by a single penny….”

$3 trillion in tax revenue is enough to pay for SS, medicare, and defense. The other programs could be eliminated AFAIC.

Medicare can be abolished IF laws are passed to make illegal the monopolistic practices of the insurance companies, hospitals, drug companies, medical device companies, etc.
The Pentagon budget can be cut by over 50%. Bring the troops home! NO MORE WARS for the military-industrial complex.

    Thomas Sowell:

“…As for the House of Representatives’ right to grant or withhold money, that is not a matter of opinion either. You can check the Constitution of the United States. All spending bills must originate in the House of Representatives, which means that Congressmen there have a right to decide whether or not they want to spend money on a particular government activity….”
perhaps Thomas forgot that we do not have a Parliamentary style government? The Senate has to approved such a bill and then the president decides whether to sign or veto.

    • Guest

I don’t understand your comment. What Sowell is saying is that bills regarding what to spend on must originate in the House of Representatives.

      • Gay Veteran

“…Whether ObamaCare is good, bad or indifferent is a matter of opinion. But it is a matter of fact that members of the House of Representatives have a right to make spending decisions based on their opinion….”

The federal Government is our problem – Keep it closed

  • grumpyhillbilly

We all know the GOP will eventually capitulate. However it strikes me that Obama has already gone to far with the threat of default. He has no credibility on the world stage – not after Putin owned him over Syria. Besides the Federal Reserve, who is foolish enough buy our debt? Seriously doubt you will see anyone on the world stage will finance us. What amazes me about Obama and the political elites is how incredibly stupid they are. Add their arrogance to the mix, and we’ve got a mess. The question is when do we do the collapse.

  • Gay Veteran

and how much of the new debt (along with worthless Mortgage Backed Securities from the banksters) is the Fed buying?
How is the Fed paying for those new bonds? By printing more money thus devaluing the dollar. Read some Karl Denninger (one of the founders of the Tea Party movement) and get educated on the debt scam.

    • TonyS

Karl Denninger is clueless, as are most Austrians/Libertarians/Tea Party parrots about monetary operations and basic macroeconomics. We’re no longer on gold standard, terms such as “printing money” really are misleading. The government spends/creates money by crediting private bank accounts.

Inflation is more than in an increase in the supply of
money despite what the Schiff cult members will tell you.

For the 10,000th time, QE is nothing more than an LSAP (Large Scale Asset Purchase). This actually doesn’t affect the real economy in any capacity. All the FED does is buy Treasuries and sell dollars it creates out of thin air so to speak. After this said asset swap occurs, the particular primary dealer which sold the Treasuries to the FED now has cash on hand as opposed to Treasuries and FED has Treasuries on hand as opposed to cash. We don’t have an increase in net financial assets. This is the same process that occurs with MBS.

QE displaces investors and lowers the yield curve. That’s it, the world isn’t going to end.

      • Gay Veteran

“…For the 10,000th time, QE is nothing more than an LSAP (Large Scale Asset Purchase)….”

and of course some of those “assets” are near worthless Mortgage Backed Securities that are being transferred from the banksters to the Fed with the American people left holding the bag.

“…QE displaces investors and lowers the yield curve. That’s it, the world isn’t going to end.”

more bankster drivel. QE and zero interest rates are all for the benefit of the banksters. Savers (and especially the elderly) are given the shaft.

But then I guess you still believe in the official inflation rate.

      • stopthesocialism

What we have is stagflation. We have the lowest employment rate in 30 years, yet oil is still over $100/barrel. Schiff was correct on the lack of tapering. The Fed can’t taper, or interest rates will rise. They have boxed themselves in between continued inflation, or spiking interest rates.

        • TonyS

We don’t have the lowest unemployment rate in 30 years. Sorry, that’s simply not true. We still have high unemployment numbers relative to 2006.

We haven’t had any inflation. It’s entirely understandable that people would say that since the most volatile prices are factored outside of the CPI and people tend to notice them the most. It’s still pretty bonkers of Peter to say such things, although it’s par for the course with him.

Interest rates won’t rise unless that FED wants them to. The central bank controls interest rates along the entire term structure. We could stay at 0% indefinitely if we made it policy. Under a fiat system, the natural rate of interest is 0% to begin with.

          • stopthesocialism

First of all, I said “employment’ rate. Not “unemployment” rate.

And price inflation defined is an increase in prices. Not some bogus made up government numbers. Prices should actually be going down (deflation), because real economic growth is negative.

I know what I pay. $40 for 1/2 tank of gas. $8 for a Burger King value meal. $100 for 3,000 gallons of water. $395 for car registration. This is at least twice what it was 5 years ago.

When Obama prints money and hands it out to his cronies, they don’t bury it in their backyards. They go out and spend it. That spending bids up prices.

          • TonyS

We define inflation is an increase in the general level of prices of real goods and services in the economy over a certain time period. In economics, this is how it’s defined.

You have to discern between the cost of living and inflation. This is another myth repeated by the hard money crowd. People then view inflation when certain key prices increase. Gas and food prices increase, then people automatically assume its inflation. The use of the word inflation is incorrect when prices go up in certain expenditure categories.

The rate of inflation includes all prices, not sectors of the economy. It is the weakening of purchasing power in the general economy as a whole. Long-term stable prices are paramount for a healthy economy. Currently, inflation, as its defined, is not occurring, because an increase in individual prices doesn’t equate to inflation.

The value of the dollar increased against all major currencies since 2007 and this is reflected by the dollar index. The FED, and government spending for that matter, is always ‘money creation’ by default, regardless of tax receipts or bond sales. An increase in the supply of money is not the sole reason for inflation. If that was case, the world’s five major central banks – the ECB, BOJ, FED, SNB, SOB – should have caused inflationary events since they ‘printed’ over 5 trillion in the last six years, including record deficits across these countries. And we’ve experienced no inflation whatsoever. The inflationistas, Austrians, and Monetarists have been dead wrong for years about inflation and the global financial crisis. They continually perpetuate these theories with false analogies and without any demonstrable examples.

          • Gay Veteran

I frequent this website because it has many great articles that I agree with…but this article seems to partisan in that it places blame on the Democrats and Obama, and doesn’t also blame the Republicans. That coupled with a lot of ignorant posts on this website, talking about Obama as muslim or “Foreign” many of these commentators sound like the same Stupid ignorant people who believe Obama was not born in the United States or is a Muslim. Pass a Clean bill raise the Debt limit just like it has been done under every President Democrat or Republican and then negotiate the Universal Healthcare Act, but the Republicans want to delay a Law Passed a ruled Constitutional by the Supreme Court and a Law that can help people who cannot get Heathcare (Part-time/Pre-existing conditions) because Private companies simply act on Profit motives and are NOT “People.”
If you want to talk about how are overall economy is going down the tank, and how BOTH Parties are horrible and corrupt and taking money from Big Corporations than fine.(KOCK BROTHERS giving big money to REPUBLICANS TO CONTINUE SHUTDOWN). But don’t write an article soley placing fault on Obama, so some ignorant commentators can say things like OBONGO and use stupid talking points, judging by their statements i can tell there are from a certain region of this country lol. If the Republicans demand a defunding of Obamacare, then let them overturn it – but don’t let them refuse to fund the rest of the government and then complain that Obama won’t compromise. They’re basically threatening to take their ball and go home if he doesn’t submit to their absurd demand.

  • Adonis J. King

Normally I am right on board with you but in this case I must disagree. I want Obummer ouit as much as anyone and I don’t like OBUMMER CARE but Obamacare should never have been attached to this issue and should be dealt with separately. I have friends suffering here and as I see it in this one case Obama actually has a point and this is unfairly bias to your ideals rather than facts..sad because again I have long admired your writings and shared them regularly but my view is Stop pointing fingers right now and do something because soon we ALL will suffer and I would almost rather the ObamaCare suffering than this crap..it’s infantile on all sides but began with Tea Party Repubs trying to force an issue into another issue. The same as Pork Barreling only worse because my friends are becoming homeless.

  • Gene Baugh BBA

Classic example of projection. One of the most annoying things about Republicans is that they are constantly projecting their own sins onto others.

In the title and first paragraph if you substitute ‘The Tea Party’ for Obama you have the truth.

The Tea Party is holding the world economy hostage.

Republicans spin it the other way around as if subconsciously and think we don’t notice. I see it all the time and this article is what it looks like.

People on this site say it all the time. You get what you vote for. How ya like your Tea Party now?

Part of me is saying, “Bully for them, Keep the debt ceiling where it is. Make the government adjust,” The other part of me dreads the world wide depression it will bring.

    • stopthesocialism

If printing $1 trillion/yr and handing it out to Obama’s cronies helps the economy, why not print 2 trillion? Or 10 trillion? Or 100 trillion? Wouldn’t that be 100 times better by your logic?

Nationalized health care has been on the Democrat/Socialist Agenda for 70 years, since the days of FDR, or perhaps longer. This poisonous tree has deep roots. This monster has its foot in the door now, and they are going to fight tooth and nail to keep it there. The fact that Obama is not compromising should not be a surprise to anyone.

    • Gay Veteran

eyeroll, Obamacare is a huge gift to the insurance companies, it has nothing to do with nationalized health care (e.g., Medicare for all)

      • sharonsj

Give up trying to explain facts to conservatives. Obamacare is run by health insurance companies, not the government. Nationalized health care is what all those demon socialized countries have, you know, like Canada, England, and all of Scandinavia.

    • ian

Dude!! i lived in Europe for 8 years and Obamacare is nothing like the wonderful, cheap, easy healthcare program i had while i lived there. Unemployed, broke my arm, cost absolutely nothing….nada….zip.

      • GoldenEagles

Your glowing report of your experience in the European National Healthcare system is like a golden mask upon the face of a black widow spider. The stinger of national bankruptcy is sharp and full of fatal venom, as the teetering of the European economies demonstrates all too well. When it all falls into a pile of rubble, they will search their records and come and find you, and ask you to pay your $50,000 medical bill.

With that said, the Obama/Democrat/Socialist goal is for the complete nationalization of the American health care system, on the European model. However, there was not enough votes in Congress to take such a giant step. They got as much as they could, they will hold their ground on that, and look forward to making “progress” in the future to reaching the fullness of their subconscious goal of destroying America in the full nationalization of the health care system. After all, the God of Government is the only physician that can be trusted to look after the scraped elbows and bruised knees of the American people.

        • ian

NO DOUBT the debt limit WILL be raised, even if only temporarily. The powers that be WILL NOT let this thing collapse and then reset. If it were to do so they’d lose all their power and control. Even the extinction of the Federal Reserve would be possibe under that scenario. That they WILL NOT allow. Without quetion the debt ceilng will be raised.

How to Turn the Economy Around?

I believe the first thing to be done is to abolish the Federal Reserve. It is owned by and operated for the benefit of the biggest banks in the world. Its sole purpose has been to enrich the few at the expense of the many through its insidious use of inflation and debt issuance. It has been around for less than 100 years and has debased the USD by 96%. The
U.S. Treasury has the authority to issue the currency of the country. It did so from 1789 until 1913.

You are as whacked as flounder church. You two should hook-up! What a tag-team you’d make!

Stop hating on Obama! This article is based on the false premise that Obama is responsible for the shutdown, and that Obama has demands. On the contrary, it’s the republicans who are refusing to co-operate: Obama and the democrats want to end the shutdown, but the republicans have a wish list of demands that they want to have fulfilled. They say that the shutdown will continue until their demands are met. Want they want is crazy: None of us want deregulation and loosening of environmental laws–but that’s one of the republicans’ demands. None of their demands is desirable for the vast majority of the country. Obama is right to stand up to these guys and you should be proud of him.

It’s the republicans who are holding the world hostage and it’s not even about Obamacare:

Obamacare is essentially Romneycare. Mitt Romney put this into place in Massachusetts whilst governor there. And it’s working well, thus far. Obama is simply expanding Romneycare country-wide!

In fact, the Affordable Health Care Act (“Obamacare”) was developed by Republicans in the 1990s, when the Clinton administration was trying to get single-payer health care for the country. The Affordable Health Care Act was the Republicans’ alternative to the single-payer universal health care proposed by Clinton and the Democrats.

    • Mark8076

      I want deregulation.
I want the Keystone Pipeline built.
I want the same health program offered to the members of Congress.
I want the same delay to Obamacare as offered to Big Business.

More political “theater” to entertain the PTB and make the sheeple think they live in a free country.

The real decisions happen behind closed doors. Haven’t the American people learned by now?

This is all designed to cause fighting among us to divert attention away from our eroding rights.

Obama could do what JFK did and issue and Executive Order directing the Treasury Dept to print debt-free money to be used, but that takes balls.

We could save over 450 BILLION a year by telling the private bankers at the FED their ‘payday’ loans are no longer needed.

  • Ralfine

maybe the hawks want him out since he couldnt get that war against syria off the ground?

  • majorx

This is where they have to meet force with force. You prevail or fail. With every confrontation that Obama prevails over the Republicans he picks up additional momentum. He cant prevail again.

This pirate government is broke and everyone knows it. You cannot steal anymore of our money. We are trillions and trillions of dollars broke. SHUTDOWN the Dept of Energy, SHUTDOWN the Dept. of Education. SHUTDOWN the IRS. ETC., ETC We should be able to complete our taxes on a 4X6 index card. Harvest responsibly our mega supply of God given energy resources. THE GOP is a limp extension of the Democratic Party. OB has been a disaster and anyone contributing to this nation knows it. This OB admin has been riddled with scandal and his signature OB care is his legacy. Despite the fact it is government run healthcare which 70% of the nation does not want, resulting in horrible affects on the economy and it’s real goal is for this piracy government to takeover 1/6 of the economy, i.e. the healthcare industry. If this country is still standing in 2016, let’s get behind Allen West and Ted Cruz, RIGHT NOW !. They are pre-vetted by their conservative record of action. It will take true RWB Constitutional Conservatives like these men to save this nation. They have earned our respect, dedication, loyalty and vote. Run them as Tea Party candidates and screw the Republican Party. The GOP is a popsicle stick standing against a tsunami of left wing ideology. The hour glass of extinction ticks on ! Christi Fidelis !!

    • Gay Veteran

Allen West?!?!?!? the whackjob who got kicked out of the Army

      • EnjoyTheCollapse

LTC West was honorably retired from the Army after more than 20 years service (though I agree his career was essentially over after his court martial acquittal).

        • Gay Veteran

          war criminal:

“…In testimony at an Article 32 hearing — the military’s version of a grand jury or preliminary hearing — West said the policeman, Yahya Jhrodi Hamoody, was not cooperating with interrogators, so he watched four of his soldiers from the 220th Field Artillery Battalion beat the detainee on the head and body.

West said he also threatened to kill Hamoody….”

          • EnjoyTheCollapse

An Article 32 hearing is an investigative process in the military, similar to a civilian Grand Jury. It is not a criminal trial. West was never convicted of any war crimes and he was honorably retired from the Army. You don’t have to like the guy, or even respect him, but the facts in his case are what they are.

          • Gay Veteran

riiiight, you can always rely on the Pentagon to do the right thing.
the scumbag admitted his war crimes

            Do you prefer water boarding?

      • TtT Engine

Mr. Gay veteran, you laugh in God’s face and refer to Christians as whackos. You suddenly hold the military bureaucratic hierarchy in such high esteem. Colonel West served his country valiantly and is very good man with courage, conviction and patriotism well beyond your understanding. You reject God, our Judaio-Christian foundations and value system. You are an angry man and offer no solutions. Christi Fidelis !

        • Gay Veteran

uh, guess you don’t understand sarcasm.
I hold the Pentaon in very low esteem.
Did you serve in the military? I’m guessing no, just like other yellow chickenhawks because any veteran would know that West committed a war crime.

          • TtT Engine

Many are called, few are chosen. Serving in the military is not the only way to be a patriotic American. Serving in the military is not step one to canonization. Allen West was railroaded, just like most conservatives. Our military rules of engagement are a disgrace to the R/W/B. He is a warrior conservative and a good man. Watch your mouth ! This country is on borrowed time, everyone knows it. Hillary Clinton and Chris Christi/Ralph Kramden, is more of the same. Print, borrow, TAX and spend. I’m not sure Allen West and Ted Cruz can save the U.S.A. Titanic, but at least we would have a chance. WAKE UP, AMERICA, time is our enemy ! Christi Fidelis !!

          • Gay Veteran

actually ANY person would know what West did was a war crime (and gee, even JESUS would know)

            “…Watch your mouth !….”

You’re the one who needs to close his pie hole.

          • TtT Engine

Happy Hillel meals for you my good terrorist from hell. Next is milk and cookies. PRETTY PLEASE tell me what you know. Have a nice day. Head chopping, burned and dragged through the streets for you Americans !. Watch your mouth Mr. Gay Veteran ! You are wrong, SIR.

Michael , just read a few comments, enough to understand that this country is so fractured that there will never be a consensus to right the ship of state. You have a great ability to stir public opinion but a great lack of ability to give this country what it really needs—LEADERSHIP–that gives solutions to the many many problems we have. It is so obvious that the the number of people, who understand this country is septic, is growing exponential each day.

    • feww123

      Well put.

Just like the FaceBooke website, people could careless about the Gov as long as they get foodstamps, welfare, hud and Mr Oboma says he will grant illegals FREEBIES. The USA is on the slide into 3rd world.

The best thing that can happen is for this country to economically collapse and maybe people and the country can live within their budgets.

Man, is this really US? Looks somewhat like communist vietnam.

  • nekksys

After hearing a particular news story this morning, I now have a renewed hope for our country IF, and only if, the several states start demanding greater autonomy and begin cutting out, or reducing, financial ties with the Federal government. this is how it was when our nation was founded and, in my purview, is the best solution to failing education, financial woes and state responsibilities.

  • rickv404

“If the Republicans do not give him that, he is willing to plunge us into financial oblivion.”

I disagree. The government defaulting would not lead to “financial oblivion”. The government is not the economy. It leeches off the economy. Let it default. We’re still paying taxes, so what’s important for the federal government to do will get funded.

  • sharonsj

It is Congress that decides to borrow and spend money, not Obama. It is Congress that sets the budget for the country, not Obama. And people who say let the government crash are too stupid to understand the ramifications.

You have a unique point of view

  • Jean Bush

Yeah, well, welcome to the NWO. What did you expect?? The Dems & Reps are 2 sides of the same coin, run by the Elites; it’s called the 2 party system so the stupid sheeple will think they have a choice.
