Russia Has Equipped Syria With Their Most Advanced Anti-Ship Missiles

P-800 YakhontRussia has sold Syria highly advanced rocket launchers, anti-aircraft missiles and anti-ship missiles.  In fact, the P-800 Yakhont anti-ship missiles that Russia has equipped Syria with are the most advanced anti-ship missiles that Russia has.  When the United States strikes Syria, they might be quite surprised at how hard Syria can hit back.  The Syrian military is the most formidable adversary that the U.S. military has tangled with in the Middle East by far.  From Syria, P-800 Yakhont anti-ship missiles can cover much of the eastern Mediterranean and can even reach air bases in Cyprus.  If the U.S. Navy is not very careful to stay out of range, we could easily see footage of destroyed U.S. naval vessels sinking into the Mediterranean Sea on the evening news.  And once the American people see such footage, it will be impossible to stop a full-blown war between the United States and Syria.

Syria has highly advanced weapons systems that Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya did not have.  Anyone that thinks that we can just sit back and lob cruise missiles at them is being naive.  Syria has weapons that "have never before been seen" in the Middle East.  The following is from a recent article by Mac Slavo...

According to the report from Syrian-based Dam Press and the Dyar Newspaper, the Russians aren’t backing off their Syria policy and they are getting ready to double down by supplying Assad’s military with weapons the have never before been seen in the middle east.

If and when Western forces engage the Syrian army you can be assured that it will be nothing like the 1991 conflict in Iraq when a hundred thousand of Saddam Hussein’s soldiers surrendered without firing a shot. Nor will it be a no-fly zone free-for-all where air forces will be able to target military assets as they did in Libya without being challenged.

No, this time will be different.

Posted below are some excerpts from a translation of the article from Syrian-based Dam Press that Mac Slavo mentioned...

The Patriot Missiles will be hit and repealed with S300 SAM [already installed in Syria]. Putin also threatened to deliver the more advanced S400 anti-aircraft missiles

-----

He added that Russia will also supply Syria with state-of-the-art 24-Barrell rocket launchers which have a range of 60 km ranked as the most developed artillery weapon of its kind.

-----

Putin clearly stated that the Middle East is going to witness a significant change.  Syria will be armed with weapons that have never been seen before [in the Middle East] including computer guided smart missiles that never miss their target.

He also added that Russia will supply Syria with Skean 5 ground-to-sea missiles that are capable of hitting and sinking any target up to 250 km off the Syrian coast.

The weapons systems mentioned in that article are very powerful.  For instance, the video posted below contains footage of the rocket launchers mentioned in the article...

But of most immediate concern for the U.S. military are the anti-ship missiles which Syria has reportedly acquired.

According to the New York Times, the P-800 Yakhont anti-ship missiles that Russia has sent to Syria are equipped with highly advanced radar capabilities...

Russia has sent advanced antiship cruise missiles to Syria, a move that illustrates the depth of its support for the Syrian government led by President Bashar al-Assad, American officials said Thursday.

Russia has previously provided a version of the missiles, called Yakhonts, to Syria. But those delivered recently are outfitted with an advanced radar that makes them more effective, according to American officials who are familiar with classified intelligence reports and would only discuss the shipment on the basis of anonymity.

These missiles have a range of approximately 180 miles, and they can do an extraordinary amount of damage...

The missiles are about 22 feet long, carry either a high-explosive or armor-piercing warhead, and have a range of about 180 miles, according to Jane’s.

They can be steered to a target’s general location by longer-range radars, but each missile has its own radar to help evade a ship’s defenses and home in as it approaches its target.

Two senior American officials said that the most recent shipment contained missiles with a more advanced guidance system than earlier shipments.

Posted below is video footage of a test firing of a P-800 Yakhont anti-ship missile...

And yes, these missiles have the range to hit targets in Cyprus.  Perhaps someone should tell U.S. military planners that it is probably not a good idea to be parking so much air power at bases there.

It also looks like the Syrians are going to have plenty of naval targets to shoot at as well.  According to Reuters, a U.S. carrier group will soon be joining the five U.S. destroyers that are already parked in the eastern Mediterranean...

The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz and other ships in its strike group are heading west toward the Red Sea to help support a limited U.S. strike on Syria, if needed, defense officials said on Sunday.

The Nimitz carrier strike group, which includes four destroyers and a cruiser, has no specific orders to move to the eastern Mediterranean at this point, but is moving west in the Arabian Sea so it can do so if asked. It was not immediately clear when the ships would enter the Red Sea, but they had not arrived by Sunday evening, said one official.

"It's about leveraging the assets to have them in place should the capabilities of the carrier strike group and the presence be needed," said the official.

In addition, ABC News says that an amphibious ship "with several hundred Marines aboard" is also parked in the eastern Mediterranean...

On Friday, the USS San Antonio, a Navy amphibious ship with several hundred Marines aboard, was ordered to remain in the eastern Mediterranean though defense officials said it too was not part of the U.S. military planning for a limited strike against Syria. Defense officials described the move as “a prudent decision should the ship’s capabilities be required.

The San Antonio was originally to be in the Mediterranean as part of a long-scheduled commitment to support U.S. Africa Command, several officials said. The ship was on its way to a port call at the U.S naval base at Souda Bay on the Greek Island of Crete when it was ordered to remain in the area.

The San Antonio has resources that could prove useful in future operations in the region. For example, the ship has several hundred Marines aboard from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), as well as several helicopters or V-22 Ospreys that could be useful in helping to rescue downed pilots.

So what do you think will happen if the Syrians are able to hit any of our ships or any of the air bases in Cyprus?

Do you think that there is any chance that we will be able to avoid a full-blown war at that point?

Please feel free to share what you think by posting a comment below...

This will be the start of WW3 and unfortunately it’s exactly what TPTB want to happen. War is good business. This time Russia may join the fight as well !

  • Tim

Wow, that P-800 missile is impressive. I hope Obama knows what he’s getting into.

    • TooLittleTooLate

He appears to bumble but, in truth, if they were to destroy all of our boats, that would probably win NATO. support and give us an excuse to blow the snot out of Syria ( and Iran ) and then increase our influence in the area 10 fold.

That would keep our minds off of how bad the economy sucks and give us a distraction from our crumbling empire.

    • Louise in MO

Obama has not a clue of what he is getting into. His back is up against the wall. All the “peace for everyone, etc, etc,” hasn’t worked so well has it Mr. President? Leading from behind was stupid when you said it and even more dangerous now.

He’s surrounded by people as dumb as he he is about military action of any sort. He’s dumbed down our military and cut the funding to a point where his generals are not with him. This issue with Syria is NOT community organizing!

          • peace angel

IF you watched the elites today on the hearings in the Senate you KNOW they come from BOTH sides of the aisle and I agree that they will find the money to perpetuate WWIII.

They found 700 million dollars to advertise and propagandize to 20-year-olds in only a few states that they need to buy health insurance or the whole deal will crash and Obama found money to pay more than 100,000 of his buddies to administrate the health care disaster and they just will keep printing money until China calls in their loans. By all accounts they will do so if and when Obama starts WWIII.

    • Lennie Pike

If we had the monetary system dictated by the U.S. Constitution instead of a fiat system controlled by the enemies of America, this situation (120 years in the planning) would not exist. They can easily buy the huge majority of “our” “representatives” with the money they create out of thin air.

These satanists for the most part are not even Americans nor do they reside in the U.S.A .

      • Bill

That’s why they say “the best money can buy” !!

    • TooLittleTooLate

They won’t…. They’re bought and paid for.

The bottom line is that we need the petro dollar. The house of Saud allows and endorses this idea. In turn, we show our support of them by imposing their will on Syria…. It’s politics… If we lost the petro dollar, we’d lose reserve currency status and all those dollars we export as inflation would come rushing home collapsing the economy.

This would not stand so… if congress will not vote to blow them up, I predict some other blatant crime against humanity that requires direct and immediate unilateral U.S. intervention to come to light via our corporate media.

      • Bill

You are getting to the real reason for this smoke screen. Yes, there is much more to come as the economy collapses. As Michael says “it is only the Beginning of The End”.

      • Angel Peace

@TooLittle – As others have stated, this IS what is really going on. Most people don’t understand our economic situation, they have no idea that our currency is FIAT currency backed up by nothing, and the banks have another enormous gambling debt – DERIVIATIVES – which makes the current debt look positively miniscule. The banking structure, of which our government is tied to, is in dire straits due to their poor choices. On top of that Saudi Arabia sees Iran as its mortal enemy due to religious reasons – Sunni versus Shi’ite. Saudi has the money, we have the muscle for hire.
If we do not comply with a Syrian Strike, I absolutely believe we will see another 9/11 event on our soil to stir up the people to go to war.
What madness all of this is…

I think within a small amount of time, the missiles might be pointed at their “friend” Russia!
These Syrian people bite the hand that feeds them.
So unless both China and Russia have a button that they can push that will destroy all these fancy weapons they are giving to these people, it is likely that they will turn on them before it is over with.
It is the old parable of the scorpion and the horse crossing the river. The horse tells the scorpion that he should jump on the horse’s back to avoid drowning. But do not bite me or we both drown.
They get half way across the river and the scorpion cannot help himself and so bites the horse. AS they both drown, he says to the horse, I am who I am, and I cannot change my nature.
Neither can these Syrian People change their nature. It will not be long before they turn on their new “friends”.
All we have to do is step aside and let nature take its course.

China wants Africa. And I think they might get it if they continue down this path to war.
What China forgets is that their horse that feeds them, is us. We and many other nations buy their goods constantly at Walmart and other retail outlets which in turn feeds their people.
So China goes from an economic war that is successful to a real war that will eliminate so many mouths to feed . . . or will it backfire on them at home. That too might happen.

The question becomes who wins if the horse drowns?

Well, somebody has to be the bad guy…… I guess it’s our turn now.

It seems that now, we’re the ones that are imposing OUR will on others for political outcome…. Seems to me that that is what the USSR was doing when we went to all those wars in the last century.

        • Gay Veteran

and you think we weren’t imposing our will in those wars???

      • Hammerstrike

The propaganda about the Soviet-Union is the truth about western governements themselves.
The difference between them and the propaganda depiction of Stalin is practice.

  • K

First let me say clearly, we have no business attacking Syria. The Tomahawk missile has a far greater range than the P-800. The trick is to stay out of range. Not as easy as you think, Syria does have slightly more than 20 missile boats, two subs, and two frigates. No match for the U.S. navy. But 20 small missile boats all carrying one of those missiles, it is not a sure bet that one would not get through. Also this missile has to be intercepted by another missile. Point defense weapons, were not designed to handle a mach 2.5 missile. In short we need to mind our own business. The U.N. is the proper venue for this matter, as useless as they may be.

My sweet wife had a healthy interest in the Titanic disaster for most of 2000 – 2010. She got me interested also – it’s very fascinating. Loved looking over the schematics, machinery, photographs, etc.

What got her stumped the most was the question of what made it a tragedy from start to finish (the disability is brutal to her cognitive, bless her). The best answer I could give her from the evidence is that “It took a lot of people, a lot of time to make a lot of problems that compounded ’til it became a tragedy.”

    That’s what happened here.

I’ve tried to present solutions everywhere I post – even tried to talk with my representatives; only got the public relations person who probably was playing PS3 than actually listening.

I’d like to remind you that the French had superior tanks and aircraft from that of their German invaders in 1940. The French had more tanks and nearly twice the number of artillery. The actual numbers of men were about equal at 3.3 million per side yet the French fell in less than 6 weeks.

Dien Bien Phu is another situation that comes to mind about the perils of thinking that superior weapons equals victory.

The only problem with the P-800 antiship missile is that it only has a range of 150 miles. The tomahawk missile can go 1,100 miles. This means syria must use aircraft to launch the P-800, and if the Navy has CAP(Combat Air Patrol) up, then it would be a hard strike for syria to put up.

    • BonusGift

Please look at a map and measure the distances; the U.S. navy already has ships within range of the more modern ‘Sunburn’ missiles (i.e., if launched from the coast of Syria; and they can be launched off a flatbed truck, sub, or relatively small boat BTW). If the Syrians have boats that look anything like one of thousands of private boats plying the waters of the Mediterranean (almost a sure bet), then no navy boat is safe and if fired in a volley, which is the likely method, then ‘game over’.

    • Bill

      Thanks for the idea!

  • m72LAW

They shot JFK, MLK, RFK blew up JFK jr and Japans Ocean is boiling so yeah continue the destruction of our country and start WW3 to cap it all off. GAME OVER!!!

  • krinks

As one who served in the early 80s in the Navy I take no pride in saying this. I hope if we strike Syria, Syria strikes back and sinks a few of our ships. That would be the only way to wake up public up, get them to turn off the Kardashians, and force Washington to mind its own business. Appealing to their common decency doesn’t work as modern America doesn’t have any it seems. They only understand force so I hope they get some.

  • chilller

We have the most incompetent commander in chief in our history and people carry on like business as usual. Obama, McCain and many others should be brought up on war crime charges.

    • GSOB

      Get a life.

  • gazzap

Watching the BBC news last night here in the UK I had to scoff when I heard that parliament will not be having a second vote on a Syria strike……….unless circumstances change!!!! Being the total cynic that I’ve now become regarding anything politicians say or do I said to my parents “You can be sure that circumstances will definitely change then” to achieve what Cameron and Obama, the lying scumbags, want!

    • Peace Angel

Exactly this is WWIII and the UK knows it far better than the Americans know it and IF Americans KNEW it you would have to explain to them WHAT that means.

The Royal Family is the head of this snake this pyramid of evil New World Order war mongers and Bilderberg depopulation criminals and THEY will join in as soon as the first bombs are thrown.

Today Rand Paul was “disconnected” when he told Kerry that the people of the UK have told their Parliament NOT TO GO TO WAR by CNN and Wolf Blitzer, more Bilderbergers and OBAMA thinks because Americans are asleep that the whole world is also asleep and THAT is NOT the CASE.

If and only if American citizens and our military stand up to our own will this NOT HAPPEN.

US citizens are bombarding their elected officials with NO VOTES TO WAR and our military are openly saying “WE won’t go and fight side by side with Al-qaeda.”

BUT our politicians have been on the NWO train for a long time and Americans are the chosen test case. Our FEMA concentration camps are showing loads of activity and arming and stockpiling are happening and the US has imported 3 million Chinese, Russian, NATO and UN troops and they have been running military drills with our troops for two years now and they are telling civilians they are here to take us to the camps. ALL the Agenda 21 signees will be all in once the SHTF.

  • Peacelover

For Peace lovers – Surrender to Russia and become slave or dead.
Was is an insrument of peace.

  • T

If you think Obama has been a dictator to date you will be calling these the good old days when he gets the war powers. At that point he has authority to seize anything in the country for the “national effort”, there is no expiration of authority, and he can suspend elections

    • Billy

When the country gets counterattacked you better believe martial law is getting called

      • Sandbagger

Yep. Even if that so-called “counter-attack” is perpetrated by the CIA upon us while blaming Syrian government terrorists!

Americans are so gullible as to believe that. Then all who still say we shouldn’t go to war with Syria will be called a traitor to the U.S.

More recipe for reducing our liberties. Martial law declared or not.

        1. Obama consults Congress. Congress says no-go on war.

        2. Obama says, “so what, I’m going in.”

        3. Americans throw a fit.

        4. CIA plants bombs, etc. and blames Syrian “terrorists”.

        5. Americans yell, “off with their heads! To war we go!”

        6. American troops attack Syria.

        7. Russia backs Syria with full force.

        8. U.S. and Israel attack Syria in unison.

        9. Damascus is destroyed.

        10. WWIII fully employed.

Bake at nuke temp and enjoy.

  • XSANDIEGOCA

Allow me to disabuse you of your delusions.
    1) You may believe that when you rain down hundreds of cruise missiles on a country that we are not going to War but the Syrians shall feel otherwise.
    2) When the missiles rain down do not assume the Syrian Military will assume the fetal position and just take it.
    3) When the fighting starts, it would be fatuous in the extreme to believe the Syrians would not strike soft targets here in America. May I remind you what two terrorists with pressure cookers can do or 20 terrorists with airplanes can do or what 2 snipers in N. Virginia can do… How swiftly we forget.
    4) Who do you think will be in charge of all those ship killers Vlad has sold Syria? The Russians or the Syrians? Did the Russians allow Castro to have his finger on the button in Cuba? I see a replay of the Condor Legion in Spain.
    5) Obama is not FDR. Obama is not Eisenhower. Obama is out of his league.

    • Hammerstrike

The individuals of the Syrian governement and army are feared and hated by Islamists and EUS politicians alike because they have strenght and fortitude.

    • FounderChurch

Sorry, I posted to you mistakenly calling you a Commie Democrat. My apologies to you. I tried to contact you via your profile but couldn’t, so I’m posting this correction here to you. You are a truly great American, and I have backtracked and read a lot of your posts from all over. Thanks for all you do. FounderChurch at Gmail.Com Would love to communicate with you personally.

      • XSANDIEGOCA

No offense taken. Thank you very much for the compliment. Will be in touch.

  • Guest

I truly feel sorry for those in our military, who have to obey the orders of this arrogant and stupid president.

  • BerniMac

One of two things can happen. Obeyme can say congress said no & he can back off while saving face ala like the UK. OR obeyme can once again give congress & the American people the Finger and do whatever it is he & the puppet Masters at the CFR & IMF want him to do.

  • Vlad Lenin

And you wonder why the Obama Regime is not putting a carrier in the Med? Let me tell you the US Navy is scared to death of these new anti-ship missiles. Look up the USS Stark attack. They are on top of the target list for the first night.

The Obama Regime said their carriers were being moved to the Red Sea which means someone has to give overflight permission… who is it? Jordan? Saudi Arabia? Iraq? So he isn’t exactly going alone. This is going to get messy real fast.

But, it looks more likely he is about to back down and blame the a*holes at the other end of Penn Ave.

  • SafetyViking

    Oh well…

If you don’t get what you want, you better want what you get….

  • Billy

    Just an impromptu poll here…
Thumb up if you think this war when it goes hot leads to martial law here in the USA and civil unrest/war/insurgency here

    • JSB103

I think the government foresees (and is preparing for) civil unrest. Whether or not it expects civil unrest to erupt out of this particular conflict is hard to say, but it IS definitely in the cards.

      • peace angel

800 FEMA concentration camps and 4 million internment guards would suggest they are expecting civil unrest. Unfortunately it will not come soon enough. America is over.

The last 7 presidents have tried to cause civil war in the US so they could lock up and kill more of us, but this won’t wake up this sleeping nation.

The entire rest of the world is protesting this call to WWIII but not Americans and they won’t.

        • big burt

That is because they are dumb, fat, and lazy.

    • Stuart Rothwell

      No

    • peace angel

      According to military whistle blowers—-

AS a result of going to war and WE will unless WE stop it; there will be a Friday BANK virus which will prohibit anyone from getting to anything on a financial level and will stop a lot of road traffic nationally after a few days—–and by Monday they will set up road blocks coast-to-coast and tell you the US is about to be under attack and they will easily have everyone DRIVE themselves to the concentration camps. AND if you don’t want to go the roads will be lined with military personnel and tanks making sure you do go. Good time to have a concealed carry permit and a weapon. IN the meantime there will be raids nationally just like after Katrina where National Guardsmen will be ordered to kick down doors and disarm and haul off those who missed the roadblocks. There are more than 3 million foreign troops who have been brought in to help. America is OVER.

  • Billy

Just another comment here… the people who voted for this smiley two bit street hustler… for issues as stupid as gay marriage and abortion and who thought obamacare gave you free health care… I hope you are happy what you voted for. I hope it was worth it for you.

    • Gay Veteran

as if Romney wouldn’t attack Syria too

      • ErnestineBass

We know for certain McCain would have…along with Iran.

        • Gay Veteran

yes, insane McCain, who played video poker during the committee hearing.
          what a psychopath

  • grumpyhillbilly

Sadly too many of the GOP is part of the bipartisan war party. Nor can the war party conceptualize that they can’t win any of their wars. Blowing up things seems to get them so giddy they can’t think straight. Best hope is the French somehow back out, and the rest of the world says no thank you. Say what you want about our elected officials, but they are terrified of actually owning any of their hubris.

  • Bill

To: All Members of The United States Congress

I demand you vote NO for any war not supported by a majority of We The People of The United States of America.

    (Signed)
    by a United States Citizen

    • Bill

Please copy, paste and repost. If Congress doesn’t vote our will we will demand they leave Washington permanently.

Do you care enough, are you angry enough to copy and paste?

  • JSB103

If and when the proverbial you know what hits the no less proverbial fan, it won’t matter who has what missile or whether my -[place your favorite branch of service here]- can beat your -[place their favorite branch of service here].- You’ll want to be as far away from the epicenter of the escalation as possible as we never know who we’re working for or just what we are defending.

  • Carlos Danger

“Do you think that there is any chance that we will be able to avoid a full-blown war at that point?”

Syria is just a scrimmage. The end game is Iran for these warmongers in the White House. So, no.

  • Richard O. Mann

Some one hit the red button. Let’s get this show on the road, and get it over with. It’s the waiting that drives you crazy.

    • Stuart Rothwell

Get what over…the world for our kids as we now it? What drives people crazy, is wanting to get involved.

  • MadMoto

Yakhont range 180 miles…. um… Tomahawk range 1000 miles…. Me thinks this isn’t a threat at all…. They would have to get close enough to use them and if they get THAT close they would have earned the right to. There is no way they will be allowed to get that close to a US ship that is firing on them. Russian sub?? Eh.. Maybe, but, they we will know it was the Russians and not the Syrians… Fired from the air?? Eh.. Sure, but the USS Nimitz is in route so we will have air dominance.
Their best chance is a Russian version of our CIWS and attempt to bat the Tomahawks down.
With all that said… Syria/Hezbollah vs. Saudi Arabia/al Qaeda….. NOT OUR FIGHT… Congress should say NO…

    • ArigatouGozaimas

Syria could always end up with a lucky strike. The Serbians had one when a F-117 crashed in their territory. This allowed the Russians and the Chinese to reverse engineer towards the development of their own stealth aircraft.

Beyond that, I don’t think what remains of Assad’s regime is any military threat to the U.S. whatsoever. There are worse case scenarios such as Iran or even Russia getting involved more directly, but such cases are highly implausible.

The biggest blunder of this war will be what replaces Assad. U.S. ground troops in Syria would be another Iraq, expensive and deadly. I would hope our troops would be killing AQu rather than aiding and abbetting their cause if that comes to pass.

Congress won’t say no, they will bend over for Dear Leader. Democrats worship Dear Leader. The media fawns over Dear Leader. Republicans are war mongers and cowards, they want to be more like Dear Leader. How can anyone say no to Dear leader?

      • ErnestineBass

        LOL
Sorry…the thought of China and Russia wanting to reverse-engineer a “stealth” bomber so “unstealthy” it was shot down just strikes me as funny.

Communism comes about from total chaos, his work is almost complete. The USA is morally/financially bankrupt. When they get ready to stop using the dollar it is over with. FIAT currency and turning your back on GOD only goes so far.

  • CaptainSteel

This could be the mechanism that obama uses to cancel pesky future elections and just seize total dictatorial power. He and his puppet masters wan this war very badly to further their globalist agenda

  • hopeless

This whole thing has been planned for very long. Ret. Gen. of NATO Wesley Clark is on record saying this. It’s all so out in the open and obvious, that it remains concealed. ALL OF THIS IS ONLY THE PRE-GAME. The REAL end-game will involve NORTH KOREA (see pastor Lyndsey Williams). Yeah, remember those threats of nukes about to be launched, months ago? When Syria, Iran, and Russia all have reason to use massive military force against the US, it will be the perfect time for the chubby dictator boy to test out those new ICBM’s with nuclear warheads attached. Imagine the Boston Bombing, multiplied a hundredfold, with nuclear fallout. Prepare for Boston-style martial law nationwide, only this time the UN small arms treaty will have long since been signed by Obama. The people will be disarmed, all wealth transferred to the global elite via cyprus-style “bail-ins”, all this as cities and states are going bankrupt and pension plans evaporate. It all comes back to WEALTH DESTRUCTION, which is why the economic collapse blog is so appropriate, because that’s the one common denominator to ALL of this.

  • markohio

And once the war starts, the sh** is going to hit the fan. Prep hard and prep fast if you haven’t already. Things all the way around are about to get ugly.

    Question:

What is the Obama foreign policy doctrine?

    a) Put Islamic radicals in charge of more countries.

    b) Do whatever makes the people on top feel relevant for the moment.

    c) Do whatever it takes to score political victories.

    d) There is no cohesive Obama Foreign Policy doctrine.

    e) Hypocrisy.

    f) All of the above

    Answer:

    f) All of the above.

  • Loxfin Kjarr

yea, that’s nice… but whats the point when the US can drone strike all day long. besides the war will be against the US wishes as a whole. and the actions of one person.

  • horse777res

As a veteran, I think with this administration showing so much arrogance, we are getting ready to have our arses handed to us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Carlos Danger

  • Jimbo

This is the Dollars last stand. It is all about the Dollars place as world reserve. The Dollar was once reserve because of its tie to gold and the world woke up to that ponzi and the Dollar became Fiat. So then the USA tied the Dollar to oil by running a protection racket in the middle east forcing everyone in the world to buy their energy in USD. Anyone who tries to get out of that protection racket by selling in anything other than USD is removed from power (Saddam and Gaddafi). Iran has been vocal in its opposition to the USD as the currency for oil. Iran now sells in Rouble, Euro, Yen and Rupees. The USA knows that if it attacks Syria, it can draw Iran into the conflict either with a false flag attack on Israel that would be blamed on Iran or a false flag on one its own ships. The question is will Russia stand idly by and let their interests in Syria be hijacked by the USA?

    • ErnestineBass

Spot on analysis. The question of whether or not the USD should be replaced as World Reserve Currency is largely responsible for much of the current turmoil in the ME.
A subject, I might add, that will likely be ignored by America’s media unless and until it becomes a reality.

  • Seriously NCO

I do not necessarily think that sinking one of our ships would lead to the U.S. public asking for an all out war . . . to the contrary. We have had it. But perhaps the U.S. govt. would stoke the fires. Not sure.

  • sev

    Good for Russia.

  • Randall Decker

This sucks big time, no one wins in war, people die, lives are lost. WTF is wrong with the governments of the world, there going to push this situation into WW3 and everyone loses, not just for those now in the present but for future generations. Aren’t there enough graves already, stop this madness before it’s too late. The human race has bigger things to worry about as a whole, last time I checked there were no emergency exits on this planet.

  • steve

Wars are started to consolidate more wealth and power for the inbred oligarchy ie fords, mellons, rockefellers, thyssens, krupps, duponts, reynolds etc.

They old money robber barons fund both fascism and communism for full spectrum control of the planet is their MO…wakeup folks.

In my opinion, it will get out of hand and more will die due to the incompetence and wishful thinking of the moronic American voter (Hope-N-Change, Forward).

Anyone that wants to go to war should suit up and take their own self over there first. Stop sending other people’s children.

People are tired of fighting wars, and losing family members so the rich can advance their agendas and so their wealthy children can sit around and continue to be a parasite to the working class. Let the powerful and wealthy send their own kids and their own selves to the wars they seek.

Nothing suprises me with these war-mongers like Obama, Bush and Clinton. What all of these endless wars got us. NOTHING, but a lot of brave American Soldiers killed, Made the military-indistrial complex billions and billions and worst of all run up our national so high we will never be able to repay it. One of the big selling of the Iraq war was that we were going to get their oil to pay for the war. How did that work out??? Stay out of Syria, period!!!!!
