Stock Market Crash October 2015? 9 Of The 16 Largest Crashes In History Have Come This Month

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Crash Warning Danger SignThe worst stock market crashes in U.S. history have come during the month of October.  There is just something about this time of the year that seems to be conducive to financial panic.  For example, on October 28th, 1929 the biggest stock market crash in U.S. history up until that time helped usher in the Great Depression of the 1930s.  And the largest percentage crash in the history of the Dow Jones Industrial Average by a very wide margin happened on October 19th, 1987.  Overall, 9 of the 16 largest single day percentage crashes that we have ever seen happened during the month of October.  Of course that does not mean that something will happen this October, but after what we just witnessed in September we should all be on alert.

Clearly, there is a tremendous amount of momentum toward the downside right now.  As you can see from the chart below, all of the gains for the Dow since the end of the 2013 calendar year have already been wiped out…

Dow Jones Industrial Average October 2015

And as I wrote about just the other day, last quarter we witnessed the loss of 11 trillion dollars in “paper wealth” on stock markets all over the planet.  The following comes from Justin Spittler

The S&P 500 fell 8%… and so did the Dow and the NASDAQ. It was the worst quarter for U.S. stocks since 2011.

Stocks around the world dropped too. The MSCI All-Country World Index, which tracks 85% of global stocks, also had its worst quarter since 2011. The STOXX Europe 600 Index, which tracks 600 of Europe’s largest companies, fell 10%. It was the worst quarter for European stocks since 2011 as well.

China’s Shanghai Composite fell 28% last quarter, its largest quarterly decline in seven years. The MSCI Emerging Markets Index fell 19%. It was the worst quarterly decline for emerging market stocks in four years.

In total, last quarter’s selloff erased nearly $11 trillion in value from stocks around the world.

Sadly, the mainstream media is assuring everyone that things are going to be just fine, and a lot of people on the Internet seem to have the attitude that “nothing is happening“.  Just like in 1929, a brief period of stabilization after the initial fall has lulled many into a false sense of security.  The following comes from Zero Hedge

Just as in 1929, the market was performing fantastic and the continuous wealth increase seemed to be unstoppable. A short 10% correction was seen as ‘healthy’ and soon a new uptrend was starting (the green line). This is exactly the same scenario we saw in the past few weeks. Market commenters said the 10% drop in the Dow Jones was a ‘healthy correction’ and we’re on our way to the next uptrend and Christmas rally.

Most people seem to assume that since I run a website called “The Economic Collapse Blog” that I must be rooting for a stock market collapse and an economic implosion, but that is not true at all.  The longer that the financial markets can hold together, the longer all of our lives can stay quiet, peaceful and “normal”.  Once the chaos begins, all of our lives will change dramatically.  No matter how much any of us have prepared, what is coming is going to deeply affect all of us at least to a certain degree.

It would be far better for me, my extended family and my friends if I am wrong about an imminent financial collapse.  Most of the people that I personally know are not even close to ready for what is coming.  And during the coming credit crunch it is inevitable that people that I personally know will lose jobs and suffer business setbacks.

Sadly, the truth is that life in America is never going to be any better than it is right now.  At some point, this stock market bubble will fully implode.  At some point, our debt-fueled prosperity will disappear.  At some point, the extraordinary recklessness of the big banks will catch up with them in a major way.

As we witnessed in 2008, our financial system is not designed to handle a severe bear market.  We should have learned some very hard lessons from the last time around, but we didn’t.  Instead, our financial system is even more vulnerable to a crisis today than it was back then.  A huge turn down by the financial markets will rip many of our top financial companies to shreds.  So a bear market would be extremely bad news, but unfortunately many prominent analysts seem to believe that this is precisely what we are now facing

Jim Cramer, the ex-hedge fund manager and host of CNBC’s show “Mad Money,” has been vocal recently on air, saying repeatedly that he doesn’t like the market now, and last week said “we have a first-class bear market going.” Similarly, Gary Kaltbaum, president of Kaltbaum Capital Management, has been sending out notes to clients and this newspaper for weeks, saying the poor price action of the stock market and many hard-hit sectors, such as energy and the recently clobbered biotech sector, has all the earmarks of a bear market. Over the weekend, Kaltbaum said: “We remain in a worldwide bear market for stocks.”

On the way up, all of the extreme risk-taking didn’t seem to matter much because everyone was making a lot of money.

But on the way down, all of the extreme risk-taking is just going to accelerate the collapse.

Personally, I do not know exactly what will happen over the next few weeks, but without a doubt I have a very bad feeling about the rest of this year.

What about you?

What do you think will happen?

Please feel free to add to the discussion by posting a comment below…

Hopefully reason will triumph and we will not be at war by the end of the month. If we escalate toward total war with the Russia/Syria/Iran/Hezbollah/China axis, we can all kiss goodbye whatever tatters are left of our economy.

    • Da_Neutral_Observer

Syria really is the trigger. With American and Russian bombers in as close proximity that they are, it’s bad enough. Now Russia is sending in troops. The stage is set as Russia waits for U.S. planes to hit their boots on the ground — justifying the next World War.

      • GSOB

Assads gotta go, says our POTUS.
        I agree.
Mr. Putin says Assads gotta stay.
        Proxy war in Syria.
        What a hornets nest!
The US is far more superior but, all this killing… the refugees…. how leaders think its worth it is beyond me.
But then again,…..who can fully understand Ephesians 6:12?

        • Gay Veteran

when was the last time the U.S. won a war?

  • K2

If people are invested in stocks, and ‘if their stocks arent falling’….. they should instead of pulling out, keep an eye everyday on their stocks. Remember keep an eye on your stocks everyday (and pull out only if they begin to fall) instead of assuming they will fall and pull out.

Just because its a bear market or chinese stocks falling doesnt necessarily mean US stocks will have the same fate. They might or they might not fall.

At some point everything will fall, doesnt mean its better to pull out even before it falls.

    • K2

continuation: And dont even think of pulling out if your stocks are rising.

    • Lel

Thank god you aren’t a financial advisor. For anyone else reading this, do not take financial advice from anyone on this site unless you want to lose all of your money.

      • alan

        lol.

      • K2

        How is my point wrong?

        • Malcolm Reynolds

          How is your advice right?
The sum total of your ‘advice’ was don’t pull it out if it’s rising and watch it as it falls.
That’s idiotic advice that has no relationship to the realities of investing.

          • K2

I didnt say watch it as it falls, i said ‘pull out’ only if it begins to fall.

  • K

With all the insanity in the world. I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Will it be this month? It would not surprise me. All I am sure of is soon.

    • K2

      How soon?

      • K

Sorry, I never have that level of accuracy. I only get a near or far feeling.

        • K2

And since how many years, did you have this ‘near’ feeling.

    • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

I feel the same way. I live in Oregon (as u know) and u know there was recently a school shooting here. When you are that close to something that terrible, it changes the way you perceive things. For example, I go out where crowds are likely, like the city, large buildings, malls, public buildings, and I feel apprehensive. Not afraid, just on edge. Like waiting for something to happen, because you know it’s going to happen. Like, what’s next? Because whatever it is, it’s gonna be more of the same and it will only get worse.

  • Jazz

I expect October to be a great recovery month for stocks. So far the month is off to a great start and I expect that trend to continue. Since 1950, October has seen 40 up years and just 25 down years. The average monthly return for October is 0.68%. Since we had a dismal August & September I expect a great return this October!

    • Lel

A prediction based on past performance. Tell us, Nostradamus, what does your horoscope say about your financial prospects for when Mercury is in retrograde? you’re a Pisces right?

      • alan

All my money is in Uranus.
        Sorry couldn’t help myself.

        • Malcolm Reynolds

          Oooh wee, spending money stinks.

    • afchief

I agree! If the fed keeps rates at 0 and unless there is a war or some major event (terrorist attack), stocks will rise.

      Watch!

My personal opinion is summer/fall 2016 the TSWHTF.

      Time will tell.

Well .. I am an Aussie from that place down under and may I remind you all of the words printed on your banknotes … in God we Trust … well I suggest that those of you who are perpetual optimists, get ready for a shock, because what we are approaching will be an economic collapse as great, if not greater than The Great Depression … why? … one simple word … greed … all many folks can see is money, money and more Money … but be it the collapsed biotech index or the meltdowns in currencies and the evaporation of global liquidity … not to even glance at derivatives … cause that’s a real curved ball … the markets globally will suddenly collapse in a heap when they walk around a corner and whammo … one event out of the blue will strike … one single momentous moment will begin the crash … put that greed away and be content with what you have and what you can do for those who have little … then we may begin to build a beautiful world … God bless you all

    • Orac4Prez

Greenbacks are “the god we trust” – at least for most people!

To all you railroad super intendents you guys are going to be homeless on the streets in A year or two. So stop herrashing me when I’m taking pictures of your dirty trains. Stock market crash comith.

Oooooh, nice way to turn a phrase.

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

Q Why wasn’t Jesus born in Australia?
A He couldn’t find 3 wise men or a virgin.

      • Devil Hater

Lucifer’s huge tail is really bending down now. Way down. Stock market crash very soon.

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

An attorney was sitting in his office late one night, when Satan appeared before him. The Devil told the lawyer, “I have a proposition for you. You can win every case you try, for the rest of your life. Your clients will adore you, your colleagues will stand in awe of you, and you will make embarrassing sums of money. All I want in exchange is your soul, your wife’s soul, your children’s souls, the souls of your parents, grandparents, and parents-in-law, and the souls of all your friends and law partners.”
The lawyer thought about this for a moment, then asked, “So, what’s the catch?”

          • GSOB

A Protestant, Christian man moved into a Roman Catholic neighborhood and on Friday afternoons, he would unintentionally offend his neighbors when grilling rib eye steaks.

Finally, at the end of their rope, the neighbors convinced the steak eating Christian to be baptized into their faith and community, hoping that he would start eating fish on Friday and not upset the neighborhood.

            The next Friday came.
As they peered through his backyard fence, they witnessed the new convert preparing his steak, sprinkling sauce on it, saying…

“You once were a cow, but now you are a fish”

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

You know, I’ve actually heard that one before

        • GSOB

          Fulfilled

      • Ricardo

The Bible never says there were 3 wise men only 3 gifts and because people never read their Bible they assume the traditions that have been handed down to them. Which is precisely why people will accept the coming Sunday law because they are told its Christian.Study and prepare.

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

          Matthew 2:1-12
7Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. 8He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you have found him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”
9After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. 12And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

          • Ricardo

So there could have been 2 wise men with gold, 4 wise men with incense and 6 with myrrh. But there were 3 different kinds of gifts. We may never know but there were wise men who were wiser than the general population of Hebrew people. Just like today’s sheeeeeple.

You Aussies have no creds, because you (willingly) gave up your guns! Hows that working out for ya down under? Sucks, don’t it! Now you are at the mercy of those that thought it best to keep their guns, the criminals!! So, worry about your own backyard! Americans have done a lot of boo-boos, but most won’t give away their protections!

      • durango

There are more guns in Australia now than there has ever been.

        • Truth Please

Then, good for you Aussies! So proud of you!

      • Galen Rutledge

There are more guns in private hands in Australia today then there were before Port Arthur.

The laws changed to take the guns. Then the people changed to get them back.

        • Km

After the fact won’t cut it! Once guns are confiscated, they aren’t coming back! Now worries, your government and the criminals will still have theirs!

  • cicero

“The sky is falling! The sky is falling!” Jeez, what a load of crap. People are going to come back to this website in 5 years and find nothing has changed…

  • Jazz

I agree that America is financially doomed and we should be turning to God. He is all we need! Yet one thing I have noticed around here is that many people keeping saying “one event” will change everything and life will never be the same. You don’t know that.

Many keep predicting some sort of black swan event will unfold and just collapse everything. Do you know how rare these events are? I know anything is possible and I understand the severity of the bubbles that have been created because of central banks and reckless fiscal policies, but everyone talks like this event will happen any moment. No one really knows the timing. It could be tomorrow or 10 years from now.

It was supposed to be Sept and now Oct and then Nov. When do we say, “Hey only God knows the timing and what will happen? He is still in control. Let’s be prepared but let’s not get carried away. Be proactive but not fearful. Be aware but let’s not turn to fear mongering”

It’s one thing to warn but it’s another to convince people some event is about to happen when no one truly knows what comes next and when.

    • Alwaystomorrow

Again what you are saying is 98% how I feel and believe. Prepare, live, enjoy, the end. Good luck with predictions.

Your way is the professional logical way to present your thoughts here. My way is the annoying, irritating, childish way of presenting it. Two different ways of presenting the same basic thought “DO NOT PUT TIMES ON ANY PREDICTIONS.

      That being said…. :-)

The Economic Collapse Blog Has Issued A RED ALERT For The Last Six Months Of 2015.

      Published 6/25/2015.

      86 days until 12/31/2015.

Lets do a count down until the end of 2015 and see just what happens.

      ——————————————————————————

      By Michael S, on July 31st, 2015.”And
I kind of appreciate the countdown. It reminds people of my warning, and perhaps it will give some readers a renewed sense of urgency”.

      • John Doe

“That being said” is a particularly annoying and redundant phrase inserted in an effort to sound more sophisticated.

That being said. Those who have lost their job will tell you the Red Alert was spot on. Each of them are experiencing a financial collapse.

        • Alwaystomorrow

It is a transition, that being said I am going to breakfast.

          • Trustno1

That being said, I’m giving you a “like”

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

I think Alwaystomorrow DOES sound sophisticated :)

          • Malcolm Reynolds

            Alwaystomorrow DOES sound sophisticated

Right up to the point where you find out he doesn’t know what he’s talking about in the least or just right up to the point where his writing makes him sound
“annoying, irritating, childish”, whichever comes first.

          • Alwaystomorrow

Sorry. I will watch, learn and try to emulate your writing style and the knowledgeable content of your posts so that I will not be so “annoying, irritating {and} childish.”

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Mmm. I’m sorry you have such a problem with your own evaluation of yourself. Not my problem.

          • Hammerstrike

Don´t post when you are drunk.

        • Alwaystomorrow

          The inverse to your statement….

“Those who have lost their job will tell you the Red Alert was spot on. Each of them are experiencing a financial collapse”

          would be:

Those who have not lost their job will tell you the Red Alert was mistimed. Each of us are not experiencing a financial collapse.

That being said, :-) both statements would be correct for two different groups of people.

          • Gay Veteran

Those who have not lost their job will tell you their financial position is getting worse and worse

        • Catman

“Those who have lost their job will tell you the Red Alert was spot on. Each of them are experiencing a financial collapse.” That really is the definition of a collapse for most of us, regardless of what happens with the markets. As far as the societal meltdown goes, with all the shortages, rioting, savagery, lawlessness, violence, etc. that does occasionally happen in those scenarios, that’s much bigger than the vast majority of us to deal with or prepare for. It would be like a handful of Christians standing up to a battalion of ISIS militants: one must be prepared to die. Our faith in God is our only hope, whether we live or die.

          • GSOB

            Judges 15:16

          • Richard T.

The meltdown of the society will come. Just look at Argentina and see how a once great and prosperous country fell over several decades.

      • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

I disagree that the way u present your thoughts is annoying or childish. You seem respectful and polite and u maintain your composure. I’ve seen posters wish death on each other on some of these blogs.. I also find your posts funny and interesting. What is annoying [to me] is posting the same copy and paste (with the exception of the number of days on all the articles. Are we at 86 now? I can count. I think. . .). We get the whole countdown thing. But if u feel u must, then do it. Not sure exactly what you’re trying to achieve.

I appreciate u trying to change it up.

Now, so I don’t completely derail your message, I agree that predictions/counter-predictions, are pointless and often make the person making the prediction look foolish. Even the bible says that the collapse, the end, Armageddon, whatever u wanna call it, will come as a thief- meaning at a time when we aren’t looking or aware. And it also says that whatever happens will be sudden and quick. It’s not a matter of if but when. We know it’s coming. But all these weird dates and moons and all the financial data available and the empirical evidence, experiences et cetera.. its all very weird. Whateve is gonna happen isn’t far off. Maybe 86 days maybe 186. It’s doesn’t make much of a difference. I do what u do, try to find happiness and live a decent life, try to do the right thing, stay safe and prepare for the worst while hope for the best and I try to warn others. I honestly think u agree with the blogger more than u disagree.

        • Ron

Since the bible is a history lesson turned into a fairy tale your comments are pretty pointless.

Any idiot could have written the bible. Oh wait a bunch of patriarchal idiots did and in America people lap it up.

          • Jerry C

“Any idiot could have written the bible.” Really? That’s all you got? I’ve studied the Bible’s first verse Genesis 1:1 in original Hebrew and John 1:1 in original Greek for more than six months. Not just at the textual level, but using different forms of Gematria (letters, values, notational value, positional value, word values, verse values, etc…). The mathematical precision below the text is beyond human invention and the fact that different books by different authors with varying education & experience spanning several thousands of years; yet, has the underlying mathematical & geometrical patterns suggests a single author. And that is just two verses alone. You. Mock. What. You. Don’t. Understand.

          • Ron

Humans will find patterns in just about anything. Try reading what was not included in your bible so maybe then you could have a complete picture and understanding about what and who god really is.

          • IAN

really?? i study it too and the bible codes have fallen flat on their face, after countless people have talked endlessly about its precision and the precision of the shemitah. Yet nothing happened. And i mean NOTHING!!

          • Malcolm Reynolds

i study it too and the bible codes have fallen flat on their face

Mmm, no they haven’t. There is no word code applied to any book that has stood up like the bible codes. So much for studying it. Sounds like a typical libtardian debunking…. Nuuu uhhhhhh.

          • Catman

The message we need to get from the Bible or elsewhere, inspired or not, is that we are accountable to God for the choices we make in this life. The fact that some actually believe that and relate to others accordingly is what keeps society somewhat civil. It’s the Golden Rule. Without that accountability it’s every person for themself. When a critical mass of people live as if there is no God this world becomes intolerable.

          • GSOB

            Like Cain killing Abel…? civil?

        • Richard T.

True, but the Bible also says that we (Christians, who are in the light) are not going to be caught in the dark. It will only come as thieves in the night for the people who are in darkness. We are called to watch and pray, and we will know when it is coming closer and close. We may not know the exact day and time, but the season is very clear. The end is near!

          • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

I agree. I have commented on this line of reasoning before; we definitely have signs and we know where we are in time. There is no excuse to be off guard.

But that said, when it comes, it’s gonna be shocking and sudden.

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

No, we should be turning to God-dess :)
Actually, we should be working more.

    • Ron

Where is god? He is nowhere. Most prayers are not answered and the ones that are answered are mere coincidence.

      • Jerry C

Read the book of Job. He thought he could do a better job too. Of course, in the end of his book, he remained silent. You might learn a thing or two.

        • Ron

Another fable christians read as being true.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

No doubt the buffoon (that’s you) will now regale us with tales of the govt tooth fairly.

      • Malcolm Reynolds

        Most prayers are not answered

And you would know that how? Please use as many words as you need.

and the ones that are answered are mere coincidence.

ah yes, change the topic, eh.

“…cures pregnant mothers of the lives of their children….”

“…relieves free people from their freedom….”

            see above

ah yes, change the topic, eh.

yeah … that god though is at the end of the day, only paper … and though that paper certainly provides a fine lifestyle while it has value, when all has collapsed, it will offer little solace for those who have hungry children … until we all understand that life is about enjoying ourselves, it is also about helping the abandoned and the hungry and the
poor, because if business, and not all business I need to qualify, but if many businesses had paid a portion of their profits to the marginalised, then I really don’t believe we would be in the swelling terrorists world into which we are entering. And let me say, what I believe will be the real curved ball that will initiate the final blow … it’s called black gold … oil … and the enormous pressure the low prices are placing on global liquidity … let’s wait and see, but I did like your comment … especially your words, “at least for most people” … Orac4Prez … you seem like a very wise soul … and again … in God we Trust

  • William Lutz

Hey Michael! Good point. I suggest that you also write about the fallacy of the possible 2016 election and explain why it’s not worth voting for any candidate. I, like you, know that this nation is broken beyond repair, yet most Americans still believe we can fix our problems just by casting the ballot next year. I think it is very important that you discuss that matter. I mean, do you really believe that even Trump has a magic wand that could make all the turmoil disappear? According to you and me, we can’t make America great again. I know we are way down the wrong path.

    • hellonurse

Voting is unless, and has been. It’s been rigged from the start.

I guess his Red Alert is still in effect till the end of 2015 but Shemitah to Blue Moon to now October crash… “What do you think will happen?” You ask me? Nothing. Why? Because things don’t happen when people go about making predictions within certain time frame. It does when nobody expects it.

When the Fed loses control of the market, the next step is WAR because they must divert the peoples’ attention away from blame. If the people want a sound financial market and world for that matter, we must destroy the bank of international settlement and take out the federal reserve and restore humanity to sanity! From a Christian perspective, can’t we share this planet? We’ve given power to worthless leaders!!! We must wake up or oceans’ full of blood will be shed! Will we succumb to fear and let men continue to slaughter us in the 21st Century? Did we not learn anything from the 20th Century? They’ve used divide and conquer techniques so masterfully that we’re doomed! Can we agree on one thing? The Kingdom of God, a real Government, with a real leader; Jesus Christ! When they (the wicked leaders) say war….SAY NO!!!!! And if they want to force their will, you have the right under natural law to defend yourself! When they say interest and usery….SAY NO!!! It’s a violation of God’s law! We always cry out to God for salvation. And He looks at us and says “It’s within your grasp, just apply yourselves!”

I heard this morning that the Feds are not going to raise the rate now, but will probably print more money. I DON’T GET IT………

The last couple of days has seen a huge rally on the stock markets.

You would think this is a reflection of improved world growth, employment and fiscal confidence.

    BUT NO…….

The Fed reported on Friday the September jobs report, which said the economy created a disappointing 142,000 new jobs last month, following an even meagre increase in August. Wall Street had been expecting a gain of 200,000. This was seen apparently as a very “ugly” report.

A downgrade from the World Bank for China was reported. Amongst other general economic bad news.

Yet as far as I can tell all this bad news for world growth is great news for the stock market because it potentially means a delay on the Fed rate rise and possibly more world central bank stimulus/QE-Quantitive Easing

Surely a possible analogy to this would be a long term drug addict (The stock market), desperate for his (practically free 0–interest rate) injections of methadone. (QE). The drug addict’s health is gradually getting worse and worse and his addiction to this free methadone has become insatiable and has fuelled a mega high. So much so that extra stimulus is required, HEROINE or (a new super sized QE).

How long can this high continue?

If the next crash has been postponed for another year, and I believe this is the case. Preppers often wonder when the next big crash is coming. But as I often tell preppers, the reason to prep isn’t because you are expect one big gigantic mega-crash that will suddenly push The Banana Republic of America (the Third World hellhole that used to be Los Estados Unidos) into a Mad Max scenario. The reason to prep is because what the BRA is experiencing is death by 100,000 cuts, or maybe a million cuts. There was never a real economic recovery in the BRA. The BRA’s “recovery” is smoke and mirrors, a deceptive Ponzi scheme brought to you by the banksters, record low interest rates and that abomination known as the Federal Reserve. Millions of Americans who used to be the middle class are now the poor, and their poverty will only get worse.

These are some painful truths about the BRA economy:

“There has never been a lower labor force partication among men in the history of the republic. There has never been a lower percentage of men who have jobs in this country than now. And the unemployment is only going to get worse.”—Peter
    Schiff

“There’s going to be serious civil unrest in the United States. This country is in deep, deep trouble.”—Alex Jones

“Just to give you one example of bad the structure of our economy got: 30-40% of corporate profits were in the financial sector. A lot of people boast of that. But that’s a sign of a sick economy.”—Joseph Stiglitz

“What’s it going to look like to the man on the street? You’re going to see more lost jobs. You’re going to see more foreclosures. You’re going to see higher unemployment and, unfortunately, more social unrest.”—Gerald Celente

“At home, the American empire rots. Economic warfare abounds. Millions sit in poverty. Militarized riot cops stalk with impunity. The surveillance state spies.”—Abby Martin

“The United States is now a banana republic. We have arrived at that exalted state. We can’t call other people that name anymore because it bounces right back on us. That’s the reality.”—Richard Wolff

“Whenever you have a breakdown in rule of law and a breakdown of infrastructure and public health works, you’re going tro be
dealing with digestive diseases big-time.”—The Patriot Nurse

“Riding the Northeast Corridor between Boston and Washington, DC is like riding on trains in Bolivia. You rock and roll, you can’t go very fast because we don’t maintain our infrastructure. American cities are collapsing. This is how empires die: they are hollowed out from the inside. And like all empires, we have brought back into the heart of empire the very brutal mechanisms of control that are used on the edges of empire. That’s how you get militarized police units, which use lethal force indiscriminantly against unarmed citizens.”—Chris Hedges

“The economy, underneath this façade, is actually collapsing in a Greek-like manner.”—Max Keiser

“There has been have massive money creation and massive budget deficits, and yet, the economy can’t recover. In fact, the workforce is shrinking. The labor participation rate continues to fall.”—Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

Welcome to a front row seat in hell, also known as the rotting, decaying, collapsing Banana Republic of America.

        • Green tip

Are you familiar with the Roman phrase “bread and circuses?”

“Bread and circuses” (or bread and games; from Latin: panem et circenses) is metonymic for a superficial means of appeasement. In the case of politics, the phrase is used to describe the generation of public approval, not through exemplary or excellent public service or public policy, but through diversion; distraction; or the mere satisfaction of the immediate, shallow requirements of a populace,[1] as an offered “palliative.” Its originator, Juvenal, used the phrase to decry the selfishness of common people and their neglect of wider concerns.[2][3][4] The phrase also implies the erosion or ignorance of civic duty amongst the concerns of the commoner.

Keep laughing… one day you’ll look back at these time and wish you had at least saved some water.

    • ian

um…yes he did. Many others, including countless christians on you tube, were telling the world that everything will most definitely happen in september. They are now back peddling as they look tremendously foolish, and are deleting you tube videos of them making these claims. The only prediction that came true was the one where we all predicted nothing would happen and they would erase their videos.

2016 is an election year. There will be no rate hikes and no crash until AFTER election day 2016. When a socialist wins (D or R), look for a crash to then occur and then the statists will never let a crisis go to waste; like 2008.

    • Ron

  • Green tip

Can someone explain in a clear concise manner how QE policy raises the prices of stock?

    • MightyIDF

      No prob.

To keep itself afloat, after all tax revenues have been spent, the US Government sells bonds, on which it must pay interest.
China has bought approx. $1.5 Trillion in US bonds.

But Big Nanny Government needed to spend more. So the Federal Reserve, which is not Federal, agreed to purchase almost $4.5 Trillion in US bonds (QE).
Because the Fed is just an association of US banks, the proceeds from QE went to banks to lend to their customers, who borrowed the money and invested it in the stock market.

Because all these Trillions of artificial dollars were buying stocks, the stock market averages rose to unprecedented, artificial heights.

Because the US, and the world, never actually recovered from the 2008 financial crisis, the US Dollar finds itself in jeopardy of crashing, becoming worthless. If that happens, the unrealistic, artificial stock market would crash. Therefore the US Government manipulates the prices of gold and silver, because if the prices of gold and silver were to rise (in terms of the US Dollar), the US Dollar would immediately be worthless, the stock markets would crash, and – voila! – the US is a 3rd world country/economy.

      • Green tip

Here we go again. Another prediction that will not come true.

What did we witness in September?

Lets see: a blood moon with no harrowing events, a shemitah that was a non event, no asteroid struck the earth, stock market up yesterday and slightly up today.

Please stop the fear mongering. After October, what will be the authors excuse as to nothing happening?

    • SweetT

What will be your excuse if it does? And true, the human race didn’t go extinct in September and nobody was predicting it would. But if you think the global outlook improved in September you better look again.
And true the market has been up the last couple of days. But was it because the jobs report was awesome? Or was it because it was so bad that now even the Obama cheerleaders have realized that the Fed will never raise rates and might even have to turn the printing presses back on.
Keep in mind that 83% of the so called “experts” were predicting that the Fed would raise rates in September. And the meeting before that and the meeting before that.
And I agree that it is a fool’s errand to try and predict a crash as we never know when the “black swan(s)” will hit… but there’s plenty of potential. High Yield Credit, China, Greece, Brazil, Glencore, Deutche Bank, derivatives, student loans, sub-prime auto, Valeant… the list is getting longer by the day.

      • Ron

It wont happen, so I am not worried about it in the slightest.

        • SweetT

It’s just a matter of time Ron… it always is. God bless and good luck!

          • Devil Hater

Marc Dinger’s swoopy nose is bending down now. way down. Stock market crash very soon.

          • ian

so yeah….lets just live in fear for our entire natural life. Really smart!!

          • SweetT

Yes because the “ignorance is bliss” lifestyle is a smart way to live.
The only fear we should have in our natural lives is the fear of the Lord. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.” (Proverbs 9:10).
And besides, what does accepting reality have to do with living in fear anyways?

          • Paul Patriot

Good comment. Another reason I believe we are in the last days is the increasing hatred and mocking of the things of the Bible by am ignorant, unbelieving generation that closes their ears, eyes and minds over all Biblical topics.

Lots of mockers here, I pray for them, but, their comments don’t hurt my feelings at all, I know that there is a time coming soon, when their mouths will be stopped and they will regret their comments, but, sadly will be too late.

Once this current system crashes, it will take more than 2 months of food and water to stay alive. It is not going to be a crash and recovery as many in the past have been. Come on……It should be obvious by now that the stock market will collapse only when it is allowed to collapse!!!!!!!! Do you think it is an honest market? It is fixed!!!! Ever heard of the Plunge Protection Team? Ever heard of the fiat money scam? – create money out of thin air to prop up stocks, bonds, pay the government’s bills which includes trillions to fight these current wars seeking total world control.

Of course this includes creating money to bomb hospitals run by Doctors Without Borders.

Only when everything is in place – a cashless world currency, or a currency or basket of currencies backed by gold, maybe that of China’s for example, and all preparations have been made to subdue those freedom lovers of the world who will not accept the tyranny these Godless control freaks have in store for the world, will the stock market be allowed to collapse.

It sure seems like installing a Western approved dictator in Russia is a prerequisite – unless this is all one big theatrical production involving Putin.

Bottom line: whoever comes to confiscate our firearms for whatever reason (it will sound good) will be the enemy. As Soltzenitzen (sp.?) said – after they came for our weapons everyone including the fools without the ambition to learn to think critically who believed total government control would be beneficial to them, wished they had put up a fight because life afterward was not worth living.

Depending on your perspective, it could be seen as getting better or worse. Perspective is everything. What I meant in the aforementioned statement is that to say “life…will NEVER be better….” is singularly pessimistic. Kind of like the people that say, “It is what it is.”
