Superyacht Getaway Subs And Luxury Bomb Shelters: The Elite Are The Most Paranoid Preppers Of All

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Superyachts - Public DomainWhen it comes to “prepping”, many among the elite take things to an entirely different level.  As you will see below, the elite are willing to pay big money for cutting edge home security measures, luxury bomb shelters and superyacht getaway submarines. Some of the things that the elite are demanding for their own protection go beyond even what we would see in a James Bond film, and serving the prepping needs of the elite has become a multi-billion dollar business.  Meanwhile, the media outlets that the elite own continue to mock the rest of us for getting prepared.  All the time we see headlines like this one that appeared in a major American news source: “Preppers: Meet the paranoid Americans awaiting the apocalypse“.  Well, if we are paranoid for setting aside some extra food and supplies for the future, what does that make the people that you will read about in this article?

The elite live in a world that is completely different from the world that you and I live in.  In wealthy enclaves of major global cities such as London, elitists are willing to shell out massive amounts of money to ensure that everyone else is kept out.  The following comes from an article that was just published a few hours ago by the London Evening Standard entitled “The paranoid world of London’s super-rich: DNA-laced security mist and superyacht getaway submarines“…

Business is booming because billionaires are a paranoid bunch. Take one who recently moved to Mayfair. ‘He wanted everything, from protection from cyber hacking through to physical intrusion and kidnapping,’ says Bond Gunning. ‘We ended up installing fingerprint-activated locks for family members and programmable keys for staff that limit the time they are allowed into the property and the rooms they are able to enter and exit.

‘Inside and outside we installed 24-hour monitored CCTV cameras that are so hi-tech they can tell the difference between a dog, cat and a person. In the garden there are thermal-imaging cameras that can detect heat sources in the undergrowth. One thing intruders can’t hide is the heat of their bodies.

‘Should an intruder evade the cameras or ignore the warnings they automatically broadcast, the property itself is protected by bulletproof glass and alarm sensors in all rooms. There is a bullet, gas and bombproof panic or safe room, with its own food and water, medical supplies and communications, and an impregnable supply of fresh air. Just in case the family cannot make it there in time, key rooms are sealed by reinforced shutters.’

But for many elitists, those kinds of extreme security measures are simply not enough.  That is why sales of “luxury doomsday shelters” are absolutely soaring.  If “the end of the world” arrives unexpectedly, high net worth individuals want to know that there will be somewhere for them and their families to go.  The following is an excerpt from an article about one such facility located in Indiana

As we roll down US Highway 41 in Terre Haute, Indiana , my guide insists I give him my iPhone. Then he tosses me a satin blindfold. The terms of our trip were clear—I wasn’t to know where we were going or how we got there. That’s because we’re on our way to the undisclosed location of an underground bunker designed to survive the end of the world, whatever form that apocalypse takes.

When I remove my blindfold, I am standing in a grassy clearing looking at a boxy concrete structure that serves as the entrance to a Cold War–era government communications facility gutted and reborn as Vivos Indiana. This is the Ritz Carlton of doomsday shelters, a hideout where residents can wait out a nuclear winter or a zombie apocalypse in luxury and style while the rest of humanity melts and disintegrates. The living area has 12-and-a-half-foot ceilings, sumptuous black leather couches, wall art featuring cheerful Parisian street scenes, towering faux ferns, and plush carpets. Faith Hill croons from a large-screen TV set in front of three rows of comfy beige reclining chairs. The cupboards are stocked with 60 varieties of freeze-dried and canned foodstuffs; an evening meal might include spaghetti aglio e olio topped with skillet fried steak chunks, a fresh tomato-and-zucchini salad fresh from the hydroponic garden, and decadent turtle brownies. An eight-by-nine bedroom is designed for four people (there are larger units for six) and comes with double-queen bunks clothed in 600-thread-count ivory sheets and duvet covers worthy of a four-star hotel, a comparison highlighted on the Vivos website.

That sounds lovely.

But normal people like us cannot afford something like that.  It will only be the elite that will be able to afford to hole up in underground bunkers while the world above descends into madness.

Other elitists will be taking off in their superyachts and heading out into the open ocean when things really start falling to pieces.  And if their superyachts are threatened, some of them even have “getaway subs”.  Here is more from the Evening Standard

The ultimate vehicle of choice is no longer an armoured limousine or a private jet. They’re so Noughties. If you want bragging rights these days, you need your own submarine, which floats out of a sub-sea compartment in your superyacht. ‘It’s a toy, but if the worst happened, it could also be an escape route,’ says one prominent London tycoon with a weakness for Monaco-berthed superyachts — provided they have military-grade radar jammers and missile and torpedo defences.

So exactly why are so many among the elite so concerned about their own security these days?

Why are so many of them going to such extraordinary lengths to prepare for worst case scenarios?

Do they know something that the rest of us do not?

In a previous article, I included a quote from an article in the Mirror that was published earlier this year entitled “Panicked super rich buying boltholes with private airstrips to escape if poor rise up“…

Robert Johnson, president of the Institute of New Economic Thinking, told people at the World Economic Forum in Davos that many hedge fund managers were already planning their escapes.

He said: “I know hedge fund managers all over the world who are buying airstrips and farms in places like New Zealand because they think they need a getaway.”

The next time that someone criticizes you for prepping, just point out what the elite are doing.

Clearly, many of them are deeply concerned that something may be coming.

So are you preparing?

If so, what are you preparing for?

“That sounds lovely. But normal people like us cannot afford something like that.”

That’s for sure. Right now I’m sitting at the computer in the living room of my home. I paid $24k for my home. (Yes, twenty-four thousand.) It’s a mobile home. It’s not much to look at, but it’s a home. And it has everything that I need–central heat and air, hot water, a bathroom with a shower, refrigerator, washer, dryer, etc. What more do I need?

    • shadows_edge

Place like that would go for 5 to 10k. There are houses 2 to 3 bedrooms 1 bath roughly 1k sqrft in my area that sell for 30k starting out they need some work but are livable. But the economy is just fine says the goverment…

      • alan

You want a job turn on the TV.

    • alan

Solar power and a well to start.

  • CASTIEL

hell……some of those crazy elite people even buyed territory in the moon……who knows maybe they buy a spaceship and start living there…… and then the world problems are solved…..the submarine could be to tranport tons of coke……that business will never collapse.

  • dfd

I am glad this economic collapse is happening. Everytime I hear the stock market crashing, company losing profits or better, when companies announce a layoff, it makes me jump with joy and happiness.

For too long, we have breeded a society where people enjoy gloating at others misfortunes. For example, when I could not find any work, and had to go through all the nonsense such as aptitude tests, feminist HR departments and the notorious feminists who discriminate against male applicants and give preferential treatment towards women, people would always say its your fault and you’re not trying hard enough.

Well, those same people are losing their jobs, and they deserve it. I enjoy watching them struggle to feed their kids, pay their bills because these are the exact same evil people who enjoyed judging me for my misfortunes.

Baby boomers like my father, are the same vultured that were given everything to them in a plate, and now those same opportunities are gone for today’s young generation. And what is the response of the boomers: “Kids today are lazy. When I was your age, I managed to blah, blah, blah.” We are dealing with the worst job market and inflation in the history of mankind. I truly believe thay America and the West, have breeded a society that is full of psychopaths.

Anyway, I have no vested interest or any stakes in the outcome, other than watching other people suffer. I enjoy it with please. Like the Justin Timberlake song goes “what goes comes all the way back around.” It is beautiful.

    • Alwaystomorrow

With your attitude, I would never hire you.

Unless you change your attitude you will be in the same position you are now in 5, 10, 15, etc. years.

      • dfd

I could care less about what you or anybody thinks. I am self employed and making a ton of money to support myself.

I hope you lose all of your money and the market continues to crash.

        • Alwaystomorrow

“I could care less about what you or anybody thinks.”

Well, at least we have that in common.

          • dfd

You’re right. I am just a product of my environment. People enjoyed watching me suffer. Now I am enjoying watching them suffer.

The universe really does work in funny ways…

          • Alwaystomorrow

I never enjoy seeing anyone suffer unless they are just simply lazy and do not try.

I would try and fight that “being a product of your environment” thing, unless you think it is helping you.

          • dfd

Nope. Even when I was trying my best, people who I was foolish to believe were close to me and understanding, would judge me for my misfortunes. Even my own father (who I wish dead) would accuse me of not trying.

Anyway, its changed for me. I am self employed, making more money than I could imagine, don’t have to seek employment again, and all those that were judgemental of me and were narcissistic, are the ones who are suffering.

Also, the same people who are these career minded women, are now losing their jobs as well. Just recently, my sister’s office shut down, and all those management and HR b**ches were layed off. I laughed hysterically, because these were the exact same people who prevented me from getting a job, of no fault of my own.

What goes around, comes all the way back around.

          • Alwaystomorrow

Well, I hope your self employment works out well for you. It is always nice to be your own boss and to control your income and destiny.

As far as the people who thought you were not trying, now they can see that they were wrong.

I wish you success and your family as well.

          • dfd

            Thank you.

          • Tkopfens

your hate everyone, says you are ugly.

          • dfd

I consider myself to be very good looking and in shape.

          • Alwaystomorrow

So I guess we have two things in common. :-)

          • Ncmist

            Delusion and bitterness. Congrats.

          • Trustno1

I don’t think he/she realizes that you are talking about the heart..

          • Guest

Jaded individual. Life isn’t always fair, get over it. You sound like a 20 something that has the newly acquired “the world owes me…my daddy don’t love me enough…”.

Stop crying about your “victimized” life and how much money you make. I too had a rough upbringing but was taught from an early age that life isn’t easy. You choose your destiny. I make over 6 digits, have no vehicle OR mortgage(yes my house is paid off at age 40). I came from a broken home and on welfare and haven’t blamed a single ounce of misfortune along the way on anyone making it. But you don’t see me talking about how “poor poor me…life is so unfair to me!”. LIFE IS ABOIT CHOICES AMIGO! I applaud anyone who does make it.

Bottom line, grow up and get over it. Life isn’t fair. And your not the only one ‘making more money than I could have imagined’. Ugh…you “entitled” kids….probably ticked cause you didn’t get enough “likes” on your face(crap)book page recently.

          • dfd

You’re right. Life isn’t fair. I struggled but eventually made it, and am making money as a self employed man.

As I have said, I enjoy watching other people suffer, because they too enjoyed watching me suffer. You’re right- life is unfair, so if it is unfair for me to laugh at other peoples misfortunes, so be it.

I don’t owe the world anything, just as the world does not owe me. Still doesn’t stop me from enjoying this collapse and watching others suffer.

          • dfd

You’re right. Life isn’t fair. I struggled but eventually made it, and am making money as a self employed man. I wouldn’t call myself a victim, as I did what everybody else in the world is doing- surviving.

Entitled? What do you know about entitlement? I worked hard to get to where I am and taking more risks than the average guy. Again, I am doing very well for myself, and hope to make six figures in my early thrities. No wife, no kids, no mortgage, just a bank account full of money. With gold, silver and precious metals to back me up in the event of a collapse. Life is great, and even more great watching others suffer. Giving people a dose of their medicine is exactly the best kind of revenge I could get.

Just for your curiousity, I don’t use social media.

          • Jay

Dfd, I understand your sentiments as I too have had to deal with feminists, sodomites etc… But it’s not a good idea to brag about your current successes as collapse is coming across the board and it will affect you as well and if you try to use those precious metals to buy something after the collapse they could get you arrested or mugged.

The other part of that equation is to make sure you don’t gloat when your enemy falls lest The Lord see it and turn away his wrath from them.

          • Gay Veteran

sodomites? you from the 14th century?

          • Rick

            Thanks for the clarification LeBron.

          • dfd

LeBron? Why would I be Lebron?

Seriously, instead of trolling me with silly responses, why not prep up instead? Your time is running out…

          • K

‘If you seek revenge, dig two graves’ I suspect you will make the news one day. Not for a good thing.

          • Rick

I think he meant he’s making more money from government handouts than he ever thought possible.

          • dfd

Why would I be on government handouts? You’re just jealous that a guy who was at the bottom, can actually make it out of a rut.

Keep it up. I love the envy.

          • J.L.W

He sounds more to me like someone who has decided that the world view he is happy and comfortable with is the one where he is satisfied with thoughts of revenge against others.

While other people who are not as sorted out as him monetarily or philsophically try and moan because he is not ‘positive thinking’ enough. I.e. Positive thinking = Suppression of dissent.

          • John Byde

Dfd, have you ever thought of working as a therapist or counselor? Empathy is your middle name!

          • Rick

But now they will be “self employed” with you on the government programs. That will leave less for your company to rake in.

          • dfd

            ???

          • J.L.W

            That’s a very silly comment.

          • Trustno1

            You seem very bitter……

          • dfd

            I am a misanthrope.

No, you just like being a jerk by trolling this site and deriding the author’s work. If my accusation weren’t true, you’d stop posting the comment on every new article.

            Thank you for participating.

          • Rick

Whose the troll? Who signs in as a “guest” just to snipe?

          • “LAZY” is just a word used to attack someone who sees all work as futile. Think how hard original Armish men – and women – worked on their farms. What is left? The quilts their wives made are treasured and expensive antiques.

          • jaxon64

No matter how unfair life has been to you ( I don’t know who convinced you life was supposed to be fair)–the greatest damage has been done to you by yourself.
The hatred, anger and vitriolic bitterness that you embrace in your heart is worse than anything a “mean woman” might have said or done to you.
I wish you well and pray that you will find healing and forgiveness for others–it is liberating.

          • dfd

While I appreciate your analysis, nonetheless, I will never forgive, nor forget about my enemies.

            God forgives. Not me.

I’ll agree with you on this one Richard—that particular misused phrase irks the heck out of me ( maybe second only to when a waiter/waitress cloyingly asks, “so, what are we having to eat tonight?”–if it weren’t for my wife at the table I’d be saying, “I don’t remember inviting you to eat with us but if you are really hungry then go ahead and pull up a chair.”)

        • John Byde

And Merry Xmas too to you, dfd!

        • Bob

You stated that you: “could care less”, if that’s the case, then how much do you care?

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

I was taught in counseling training that this is a common form of denial.

If you live to follow the golden sun
            You better beware

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

Change the way you think and buzz off.

        • Rick

My bad, I guess we should just call you LeBron and give you a pass for your pathetic attitude.

          • dfd

You think my attitude is bad? My friend, have you ever dealt with HR and feminist bit*hes, who are out to annihilate men?

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

Well it is a WOMAN’S world. Know your role.

          • Jay

So Sunny, got a question for you. Are men gay because women are feminists, or are women feminists because men are gay?

I mean I figured you would know and all.

          • J.L.W

Or are women feminists because they choose bad men.

          • Jay

But J.L.W. with an 80% divorce rate and far more women than men in the population, somehow the numbers just don’t add up.

          • Jay

            Define bad men?

          • J.L.W

Last radical feminist I met had been beaten repeatedly. Chose an aggressive alcoholic though she had other options.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

She should have gotten a Smith and Wesson 9mm like I did.

          • Jay

J.L.W. are you male or female? I’ll agree with you that alcoholic drinks are destructive everywhere they go and they along with other influences such as feminism, atheism, communism and homosexuality have destroyed most of the world. But women drink alcohol too and are every bit as abusive as men whether they are under the influence or not.

          • J.L.W

I’m male. I suspect a lot of women chose unpleasant partners and then become feminists to explain their horrible lifestyle choices.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

If it has wheels or teshticles.. except Alwaystomorrow :)

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

You seem to be onto something I’m unaware of.

          • Jay

Well Sunny, with an 80% divorce rate there’s got to be some explanation why men and women can’t seem to stay together anymore.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

You must use the same statistic source as Michael for his unemployment statistics.

          • It’s a straw man question. You have framed your way of looking at it.Certainly what you said is a variable to be considered tho.

          • Rick

Personally I have had other hardships, but not that one. None the less, don’t you think it would be more productive and meaningful in a deeper way if you just let it go?

          • dfd

Nope. Like the saying goes, revenge is a dish best served cold. And boy, does it taste good.

        • John Doe

Is that your ship in the picture above?

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

Well good.. then maybe you won’t feel the need to go off topic so many times about your unresolved female issues.

          • Understand that they ALL have feminine issues so that makes it invisible to them.

His attitude? Wow. This is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.

So in other words I better than anyone should know, correct?

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

          Alwaystomorrow has the RIGHT attitude.

          • Alwaystomorrow

So at least 2 of us think so.

          • Watchman

Oh you mean your troll cubicle buddy.

      • Martin

It is unlikely that 15 years from now on world will be the same.
Jobs might be scarce to the extreme, HR depts may no longer exist and those irradiated with only 1 Sv as a result of atomic war might consider themselves lucky.
Women may no longer attempt to bring up their kids and instead they may consider them to be a food source.

        • John Byde

HR departments might not exist. Wow, I never realized it could get THAT bad! :))

          • Devil Hater

Get rid of the devil and this world will be much better.

          • Alwaystomorrow

Which devil, Watchman or Malcolm Reynolds?

          • Watchman

            You silly little troll.

        • Jay

Fukushima alone may prove to be devastating without a nuclear war. Women eating their children in time of famine is a historical fact that most Americans can’t even imagine and won’t until it becomes reality for them. It was even recorded in the Bible along with other historians during times of military beseigment.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

In Taiwan, dead babies or fetuses could be bought at $50 to $70 from hospitals to meet the high demand for grilled and barbecued babies

          • Jay

You are correct except that it goes even further than that. I’m told that you can buy aborted babies in the grocery stores in China as well.

But then when you stop to consider that PepsiCo uses aborted babies as a flavor enhancer in nearly 1500 of its products and most Americans don’t even know or care, China doesn’t seem so bad.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

Yes, fetus soup brings longevity and virility.

          • Watchman

Not that you would know seeing as how your wage is in pennies.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

I don’t make a big salary..just like you.. but the money goes a lot further because I don’t have to rent companionship.

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

Men have better muscle meat on them.

      • Jay

Guess you never had to deal with a feminist running the HR department and kicking you out of work because you weren’t PC enough did you!

        • Watchman

Jay Alwaystomorrow is always trolling on these forums. Don’t mind him he is probably an illegal alien being paid pennies to post mindless rubbish and jibberish or he could well be a bot.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

WatchMonkey, stop throwing your feces at people

          • Watchman

I hope it lands in your face. Oh wait nothing can be a more hideous sight than your face.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

I stay far enough away from your cage.
            Ya missed.

        • How Not To Play The Game

Nope. I am self employed. That makes me responsible for feeding me. It’s every one else’s fault isn’t it? 7,000,000,000 on the planet and it’s their fault isn’t it?. What about the child laborers that work 16-18 hours per day tapping rubber trees so you can have tires on your car. One of which they do not own. Cry your self a river. Then build your self a hydro electric dam on it. You’ll do just fine.

          • CASTIEL

well i started working at the age of ten……but when we reach a certain age and see all the sacrifice we made in vain to see this corrupted world going down….you already dont have to much tears left……the problem its when you have a lot of ammunition instead.

          • J.L.W

What about them? … A good example of people hemmed in by circumstance!

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

Jay is unemployed and angry. He is so smart he should start his own company.

          • Jay

I did. But how did you know that I was unemployed. I guess fagmosexuals are smarter than I thought they were.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

The same way I know you are from New York.

          • Watchman

You should ask for a raise seeing as how smart you are (not even close to the minimum admissible level).

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

            I am self-employed

          • Jay

Oh now that was below the belt about New York.

          • Jay

Did they teach you how to be gay and feminist oriented in that counseling class you took? I bet they did.

A broad economic collapse effects men more than women.

      • K2

        affects.

      • dfd

How so? Last time I checked, there were more women in the Western hemisphere than men. Also, there are now more women in the workforce than men, and more policies and legislation in favor of women.

As far as I can tell, the vast majority of suicides, the unemployed and the homeless, comprise of men. Men are checking out of society and rightfully so.

        • K2

A ‘broad’ economic collapse means a global one. And globally there are more men in the workforce. A US economic collapse will also affect the globe.

And even if you can find a job by sheer effort, the job market can be very discouraging. That’s why there are many of the unemployed who have stopped looking for work. As a matter of fact, the unemployed would rather obtain free welfare money than continue the daunting task of job hunting nowadays. If they are lucky enough in most cases, they will only find a job that pays peanuts anyway. The elite wants to turn us into dependent slaves. There is a special place in hell for these globalist bastards.

      • dfd

        (Baby Boomer:)

That is unacceptable. You’re just too lazy. When I was your age, I managed to get a full time job at the factory, buy my own house and raise you.

You’re making up excuses. My friend’s son managed to find a job, and I know the neighbour’s kid got a job. You’re lazy and pathetic you know that. You need to try harder.

          • dfd

On the contrary. My father, just like most of the boomers, destroyed everything of value that should have been preserved and instead, sold us lies and left us with nothing.

If anything, I will never forget or forgive my father the way he treated me. He knows, I have a deep rooted hatred for his way of thinking, and even after his death, I will never forgive him.

        • William Lutz

That shows you how ignorant, close minded and judgemental these people are. If someone were to tell me that, I’d tell him to watch his back because he might be next. These people think that we have a victim mentality and lack motivation, even if we actually don’t.

What in the world you thinking of

      Well we all shine on
      Ev’ryone come on

      Instant Karma’s gonna get you
Gonna knock you off your feet
      Better recognize your brothers
      Ev’ryone you meet
Why in the world are we here
Surely not to live in pain and fear
Why on earth are you there
      When you’re ev’rywhere
      Come and get your share

      Well we all shine on

Whatever happened to you; whoever caused you pain unimaginable for a time-span too long; you never deserved it. They failed you.

I was there, mate. I know EXACTLY what you are going through. Don’t doubt me! I know!

If you are suicidal or going through self-harm based on a need for punishment then consider this: if you are desperate enough to go to such lengths – you can alter such extreme actions into extreme solutions: sever contact with the offenders, move to New Zealand and start a new life, call the police when appropriate – there’s numerous ways to handle it!

Ask yourself the big questions: Who are you?! And what is it you want?!!

    • afchief

That’s because our government, media and education system has been taken over by socialists. You can thank the idiots who voted for and let these people in our country.

    • J.L.W

While I am not as ruthless as you in this area, I do have similar ideas. A lot of people will have psychological trouble from mindlessly supporting the establishment when it all comes down.

An example from England recently, those who voted for the government and are working class often have this idea that because they work and others do not they are innately superior (a sentiment reflected in this comment section).

So they voted for the government whom is pursuing awful, societal cleansing cuts in the National Health Service, where loads are dying, taking the disabled and the sick off welfare when they are a lot of the time dying possibly because of this, and truly scapegoating the unemployed.

So people who vote with this government obviously have the idea that ‘I will vote with the establishment and all THOSE OTHER people will get it in the neck, the unemployed and immigrants.’

However, the government cut working tax credits! A lot of blue collar workers whose income is not high enough rely on these. Recent statistics show that 27% of people wholly reliant on state benefits voted Tory.

So even though it effects other innocent people as well, who voted against this government (that I can’t do anything about) this is my attitude about it:

“It’s like eating a cookie. A glorious, beautiful magical cookie, dipped in the pain and screams of blue collar Tories.”

However, the government may be getting into an argument with itself over this (a sensation Americans are familiar with). There is almost no info on it in MSM but it is serious enough for government shutdown to become an option. I have seen three articles and there was one televised segment on this news piece, despite its seriousness!

‘Go back to sleep nothing can see here’.

I hope revenge is as sweet as you are hoping.

My main point is on this government shutdown thing is that when a government shuts down, it could easily trigger the crash, I mean, I don’t know! Martin Armstrong labelled the high of the DOW for 17725 that would be next Monday probs. So lets wait and see! (Vote from House of Lords to shut down Westminster bill is on Monday).

Nice to read someone who understands this perspective.

    • Sihaya1

I don’t blame you for your jaded attitude. But remember that evil begets more evil. It’s very easy to fall into the trap of gloating because your persecutors are now experiencing your misfortunes. We live in an evil world, but that is not an excuse for falling in with it. Resist it. Speak out against it. Warn others. You will suffer, but instead of taking pleasure in others’ comeuppance, you can take pride in being an alarm bell and a truth speaker. I encourage you to turn it around. Take care.

    • Wulver

It’s ironic that the wealthiest are also the most useless with regard to life skills. I’ve seen people scratch their heads for days because they weren’t bright enough to check the fuel tank. They don’t know how to change a flat or grow a garden.

    • And time for you too to read Deep Green Resistance. Detroit is the first future of the coming times. They now have 1500+ community organic gardens to feed the locals and give jobs. Gardens not cars. And before nobody is around that knows how to grow food.

    • And have you read the great #MartinArmstrong on financial cycles? He is The Forecaster of the movie The Forecaster. He is also the financial wizard of DeLillo’s Cosmopolis. It’s a great blog with the only information anyone needs to know about $. Not much interpretation as he just tells you what the computer is predicting and Sept 1 2015 was the target of the ECM predicting the peak of govt CONFIDENCE to begin to unravel. You can see it everywhere. Throw the “IN” bastards out.

  • Alwaystomorrow

The Economic Collapse Blog Has Issued A RED ALERT For The Last Six Months Of 2015.

    Published 6/25/2015.

    69 days until 12/31/2015.

Lets do a count down until the end of 2015 and see just what happens.

    ——————————————————————————

    By Michael S, on July 31st, 2015.

“And I kind of appreciate the countdown. It reminds people of my warning, and perhaps it will give some readers a renewed sense of urgency.”

    • Watchman

That didn’t take long did it Alwaystrolling. So how many rupees are you being paid per post or pennies?

      • VigilanteCaregiver

        It depends.

Government was caught hiring trolls to influence the masses via coercion and social pressures. They get paychecks. Same with the special interest groups: most of the time it’s a few people with several virtual machines and thousands of accounts.

The for-profit trolls copy-and-paste your posts to a GoFundMe or similar site and ask for donations to fight you. I got nailed by this recently.

Even if you argue with them online, they get something for your opposition – one way or another. The best way to deal with these guys is to bankrupt them via lawsuits or criminal fines, or to get them arrested and off the streets. It’s what I’m doing.

  • MaxRockatansky33

The rich are always prepared. Banking savings, commodities (gold, silver) and at least a few secured locations with villas in different countries. When you have a lot of money, you can secure yourself and your family or closest friends. It’s about controlling of your life and prosperity. Not waiting for Armageddon. It’s not a panic. It’s a common sense. Secure your life.

  • K

It was the superyachts that most convinced me, what is coming. The only real purpose for the over 500 foot ones. Very prolonged periods at sea.

    • K2

Superyachts? Everything and anything could convince you the world is collapsing

      • K

Not really. When the boasting changed from, how fancy the yacht was. To how long it could last between refueling, and resupply. I found that interesting.

        • K2

Funny. Based on your comments on various articles, i got that impression.

      • Jerry C

And everything and anything couldn’t convince you otherwise?

  • Robert

You can run but you cannot hide. The rich can become ill beyond what can be cured. Some of them would need insulin. Some will come down with appendicitis. Are they hiring physicians and surgeons to be with them 24/7? If money becomes useless, will they be able to pay their staff? Will staff abandon their own families? When the boat breaks down, will they have a rescue plan and be able to dock for repairs? Will spare parts be available or are they sitting in a warehouse because trucks are not running? They might get a head start on the masses but civilization is codependent. Interconnected systems serve the rich and the rest of us. When they break everyone ultimately suffer. Prepping for most is a temporary “fix”.

    • K2

Exactly, which means these yachts might not necessarily have been bought as part of prepping. Rich people buy yachts for many reasons.

      • alan

Multi purpose use. Sit off the coast until the smoke dies down then come ashore.

        • K2

They are also a good investment. Like art. Good resale value. Also yachts are good partying places. Also useful to show off your wealth. So many uses.

    • Alwaystomorrow

All the problems you mentioned above that the rich could encounter by trying to escape the “collapse”, doesn’t the same go for everyone else too?

      • Robert

Yes. Of course. That is the point. Money cannot protect from all threats. Lots of rich and famous died on the Titanic.

        • Alwaystomorrow

My point was that everyone here keeps mentioning how the rich will not escape a “collapse.” How their money and preparations will not help them.

Why will their “prepping” not help them, but “prepping” for the non rich (like most here) will help?

It would be my guess that 95% (or more) of the people here would be dead in 3 months if nothing but just public utilities were removed.

Fortunately I do not think we will ever be faced with that situation.

If you think I am wrong, do a test with ZERO utilities for 10 days starting December 24th 2015.

          • Robert

I imagine prepping will help anyone but I think everything has a shelf life including bunkers, boats, marriages and of course insulin (salute to one second after). I, too, do not think we will have a collapse as the Y2k’ers thought. Still, any prepping you can afford is useful and intelligent. Unfortunately Hollywood and TEOTWAWKI authors have influenced people and made them fearful. Americans are a very fearful group. Btw, I have gone much longer than your ten days without any utilities. I have no desire to go back to the 18th century. I enjoy all modern conveniences and would find a life without them too difficult at my age.

But do any of these playboys have the kind of super-villain cred you can only display with a giant monolithic skull carved from the living rock of an active volcano?

I mean, satin blindfolds to keep the hoi polloi from discovering your hideout? Bulletproof glass and similar purely defensive countermeasures? Puh-leeez.

Go big or you won’t be going home, elites. No, wait, I guess you’re screwed either way, because when you finally come out of your bolt-holes, you’ll be facing millions of extremely angry and determined survivors who know exactly who to blame, and the longer you keep them waiting to do justice on you the more careful they will be to exact every last stripe.

Every time the markets head towards a crash, major central banks e.g jcb, ecb etc boost their stimulus. This makes the speculators happy to buy (usually) equities again. It’s a short term fix like binging on chocolate or something even more addictive like ice.
Meanwhile the crash of ’08’ is continually sinking the real economies of the world where the decline in liquidity is accelerating.
The masters of the universe need to make a good rate of return where part of that revenue can be used to buy defense weaponry to protect against the masses and claim it as a tax expense.
This is what’s best for business.

  • VigilanteCaregiver

Doesn’t matter. Gen. George S. Patton once said something like “If men built it – men can destroy it” about a Nazi super fortress. The Allied Army took that fortress. These wealthy want to create such fortresses; then how difficult would it be to block the doors, cover the escape exits, and plug up the vents? No matter what: long-term bunker usually equates to mausoleum.

The Finn’s during the Winter War had a much better answer: mobilize all the country, be flexible, obey orders but take informed risks, use the enemies weapons to resupply – pretty much everything Sun Zhu taught the Finn’s did and defeated the Russians.

The wealthy need to form their community; need to back each other. They’re independent and competitive; good qualities at times. They need to become flexible with some of that and have some moderation to the dog-eat-dog: cause sooner or later the dogs are mostly eaten and there’s always a better predator.

  • Powers Beyond Imagination

    Vigilante Caregiver:
I wonder if the elite in their bunkers will have stock markets, hedge funds and so on? Will they create the top one percent?
If so, beware of the hounds.

  • georgesilver

So they buy themselves a little more time. What do they find when they emerge from their bunkers and submarines? A world full of radiation. A world without the usual amount of serfs to do their bidding. No fancy shops or restaurants. No high life just dog eat dog existence.
If there is a world-wide nuclear war then I want to be one of the first to be evaporated instantly.
It’s alright surviving for a few weeks or months and then everything is back to normal but if everything is destroyed and all life is slowly dying from radiation and starvation what’s the point.

They are all such muppets.

I think they’re preparing for something because “their kind” is trying to create that something. Who knows if things will turn out as they plan though. The tables could turn, but if they’re planning a nuclear war, their yachts will not save them. Of course, the yachts could just be their getaway vehicles to their destinations.

Some people are saying we should all move to the southern hemisphere, so there could be a plan to cause further destruction in the northern hemisphere.

Personally, I think they’ve caused more than enough problems. They’ve practically destroyed the planet so it doesn’t seem fair to me that they could walk away from that and live in luxury while the rest of us die. It seems like time for “just desserts” to be served.

    • Time for you to read Deep Green Resistance. Go to their website for excerpts.

    • Tables will turn if they survive. They will have children growing up in a new world who will have many questions and defiant behavior. What will they do then? They can’t hide in their stocked bunkers forever, nor their yachts. The horror of that will level them.

Economic collapse leads to massive war. Massive war leads to use of nukes. Use of nukes could cause more in number and power, earthquakes. When it all goes bad, really bad, there will be no place to hide. If you believe Bible prophecy you know what is coming is way beyond any person or group of people, to prepare for. Just saying. Forgot to mention nuclear winter. Etc, etc.

    • df NJ

It seems to be the people with power and privilege would do absolutely anything and everything to preserve their power. So using nuclear weapons would pretty much destroy their power and privilege. So in my way of thinking I think all out nuclear war is very very unlikely. And even counter to that, anyone heading down that path would probably be quickly taken out by global secret police.

  • DJohn1

They have a little inside information.

As for Jay, you are correct as far as it goes.
If I had to have a job? I suspect I would be looking for something on a computer terminal. Something that pays well yet isn’t too much like work for me.
I am capable of typing fairly fast and accurately.
One field is Medical Coder. That is not really dependent on the economy as a whole. But it requires planning on getting the knowledge necessary to learn it right.
When you do seek work how do you dress? Do you have a business type of haircut and shave?
First impressions are often the only impression an HR crew is likely to get. If you have 300-1000 people all applying for the same position, what sets you apart from the crowd that would make an employer want you over someone else?
    Visual impressions count.
There is however no accounting for how any one HR department operates. If it takes 100 interviews to get 4 job potentials you have to look at it as not failure but one more down before you get a job.
So you have to ask yourself, how bad do I want that job.
Am I willing to keep trying until that 97th interview works into a job?
That is how a sales person thinks. Every rejection is just one more step to getting the job I want.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Because that is the only way to figure out what you are doing wrong.

  • Ricardo Fontanot

These people feel guilty! And they should! Or maybe not! Because it is our culture, our parents, grandparents, schools and religions that taught them what to believe. Nelson Mandela stated that a newcomer to this world has to learn how to hate. He or she comes to this world knowing how to love. In fact we come to this world with five natural emotions: grief, anger, envy, fear, and love. These turn into non natural, but unfortunately, “normal” (in our disfunctional society) emotions, as we are guided by adults on our early path of life. Take for instance envy. When children are allowed to express their envy, they bring a very healthy attitude about it to their adult years, and therefore usually move through their envy very quickly. Children who are made to feel that envy is not okay — that it is wrong to express it, and, in fact, that they shouldn’t even experience it — will have a difficult time appropriately dealing with their envy as adults.

Envy that is continually repressed becomes jealousy, a very unnatural emotion. People have killed because of jealousy. Wars have started, nations have fallen.

We are told the Law of the Stronget, or the best, or the superior one. That it is a basic natural law, they say. Even Science, e.g., Darwin’s Theory, underscores it. But, why did Arlan D. Williams Jr helped?

In the Wikipedia you can read:

Arland Dean Williams Jr. (September 23, 1935 – January 13, 1982) was a passenger aboard Air Florida Flight 90, which crashed on take-off in Washington, D.C.on January 13, 1982, killing 78 people. One of just six people to survive the crash, he helped the other five escape the sinking plane before succumbing to his injuries.

In the words of a clergyman,

His heroism was not rash. Aware that his own strength was fading,
he deliberately handed hope to someone else, and he did so repeatedly.
On that cold and tragic day, Arland D. Williams Jr. exemplified one of
the best attributes of human nature, specifically that some people are capable of doing anything for total strangers.

“… human nature..”??? ¡Yes! We instinctively help others, because We Are All One. This union is what brings us together (in a healthy way, of course, I am not talking about raping or the kind here) during sexual intercourse. Bit we are told, especially by religious beliefs, that sex is only to have babies.

So what is natural is replaced by stupid, harmful beliefs in our culture. The most fierce animal in the amazon doesn´t eat everything else up. You can find a sleeping lion close to a fawn, and that is natural (it happens in Nature). The amazon left to itself is in a bautiful, ethernal equilibrium. But beware of humans!!!

Ladies and gentlemen: WE HAVE TO CHANGE OUR BELIEFS! FORGET WHAT YOU WERE TOLD WHEN YOU WERE INFANTS. YOUR BASIC THINKING (YOUR BELIEFS) MAKE UP THE WHOLE THINKING STRUCTURE, AND YOU INSTICTIVELY REACT ACCORDING TO YOUR BELIEF SYSTEM.

George Bush declared that it was just right (he believed it!) to declare war to terrorism. He declared war to the world (who does not use fear, or put a little stronger, terror tactics to impose something on somebody else?) George Bush did it, as people fear the US nuclear bombs! Ask the japanese, they got two of them, after WW II was already over and they were seeking how to talk about surrendering!

Please help me spread the word to change our beliefs, and everything will be OK. We won’t experience our anhililation and that of so many species, and our environmente, and our economy, and,…

Do these stupid elite members really believe that a nice way to live and to preserve life is to escape into a rat hole (expensively set up, of course), because of what they did in their sick disfunctional thinking and feeling (“normal” amotions, of course, according to our society)???

    • willkes

Wow !! What exactly do you think is going to happen ?

      • Patriot One

Well willkes if we have a systemic financial collapse within 3 meals people will start to loose it. Within 3 days they will kill for food. After 7 days it will be anarchy. In 30 days the young, old, week, sick and drug dependent will start to die. Are you getting the picture? I’ve seen it happen many times in Africa and they weren’t even dependent on things like cars, electric, refrigeration, iPhones and grocery stores.

        • willkes

None of that is going to happen.

I pray it doesn’t, but the system is only being held up by central banks. The ECB basically just came out and said they were going to print more money this week.

It’s ok though you wouldn’t be the he first to think I’m nuts or right of normal. If the system goes down it will be exactly as I said. Americans have been some what sheltered from just how thin the veneer of society really is.

          • willkes

Well, I look at it like this… If things go that bad, I’ll probably die, blessedly so. The government has kept this veneer going for so long, they will keep it going, who’s going to stop them ? I’m kidding, sort of… You are perfectly normal to worry about it, but I’m not able to do that. I can’t live like that. I’m not made that way.

Winter temps are moderate, and – most importantly, properties in the Maritimes are not due for a correction, like elsewhere across Canada; and no mad max types are gong to trapseing up that way in event of a meltdown.
