The Rise Of The Bear: 18 Signs That Russia Is Rapidly Catching Up To The United States

RussiaThe Russian Bear is stronger and more powerful than it has ever been before.  Sadly, most Americans don’t understand this.  They still think of Russia as an “ex-superpower” that was rendered almost irrelevant when the Cold War ended.  And yes, when the Cold War ended Russia was in rough shape.  I got the chance to go over there in the early nineties, and at the time Russia was an economic disaster zone.  Russian currency was so worthless that I joked that I could go exchange a 20 dollar bill and buy the Kremlin.  But since that time Russia has roared back to life.  Once Vladimir Putin became president, the Russian economy started to grow very rapidly.  Today, Russia is an economic powerhouse that is blessed with an abundance of natural resources.  Their debt to GDP ratio is extremely small, they actually run a trade surplus every year, and they have the second most powerful military on the entire planet.  Anyone that underestimates Russia at this point is making a huge mistake.  The Russian Bear is back, and today it is a more formidable adversary than it ever was at any point during the Cold War.

Just check out the following statistics.  The following are 18 signs that Russia is rapidly catching up to the United States…

#1 Russia produces more oil than anyone else on the planet.  The United States is in third place.

#2 Russia is the number two oil exporter in the world.  The United States is forced to import more oil than anyone else in the world.

#3 Russia produces more natural gas than anyone else on the planet.  The United States is in second place.

#4 Today, Russia supplies 34 percent of Europe’s natural gas needs.

#5 The United States has a debt to GDP ratio of 101 percent.  Russia has a debt to GDP ratio of about 8 percent.

#6 The United States had a trade deficit of more than half a trillion dollars last year.  Russia consistently runs a large trade surplus.

#7 The United States has an unemployment rate of 7.4 percent.  Russia has an unemployment rate of 5.4 percent.

#8 Since Vladimir Putin first became president of Russia, the Russian economy has grown at a very rapid pace.  The following is from Wikipedia

Under the presidency of Vladimir Putin Russia’s economy saw the nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) double, climbing from 22nd to 11th largest in the world. The economy made real gains of an average 7% per year (1999: 6.5%, 2000: 10%, 2001: 5.7%, 2002: 4.9%, 2003: 7.3%, 2004: 7.2%, 2005: 6.4%, 2006: 8.2%, 2007: 8.5%, 2008: 5.2%), making it the 6th largest economy in the world in GDP(PPP). In 2007, Russia’s GDP exceeded that of 1990, meaning it has overcome the devastating consequences of the recession in the 1990s.

During Putin’s eight years in office, the industry grew by 75%, investments increased by 125%, and agricultural production and construction increased as well. Real incomes more than doubled and the average salary increased eightfold from $80 to $640. The volume of consumer credit between 2000–2006 increased 45 times, and during that same time period, the middle class grew from 8 million to 55 million, an increase of 7 times. The number of people living below the poverty line also decreased from 30% in 2000 to 14% in 2008.

#9 According to Bloomberg, Russia has added 570 metric tons of gold to their reserves over the past decade.  In the United States, nobody seems to be quite sure how much gold the Federal Reserve actually has left.

#10 Moscow is the second most expensive city in the world.  Meanwhile, the United States actually has the unfriendliest city in the world (Newark, New Jersey).

#11 More billionaires live in Moscow than in any other city on the globe.

#12 The Moscow metro system completely outclasses the subway systems in Washington D.C. and New York City.

#13 The United States has the most powerful military on the planet, but Russia is in second place.

#14 Russia has introduced a new “near silent” nuclear submarine which is far more quiet than anything the U.S. has…

The Borey Class submarine, dubbed Vladimir Monomakh, has a next generation nuclear reactor, can dive deeper than 1,200 feet, and carries up to 20 nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM).

Each of these “Bulava” ICBM’s can carry ten detachable MIRV warheads, what they call “re-entry vehicles,” capable of delivering 150 kiloton yields per warhead

#15 While Barack Obama is neutering the U.S. strategic nuclear arsenal, Vladimir Putin is working hard to modernize Russian nuclear forces.

#16 Russian missile forces will hold more than 200 drills during the second half of 2013.

#17 Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin made headlines all over the world when he climbed into the cockpit of Russia’s new “fifth generation” fighter jet and announced that it was far superior to the F-22 Raptor.

#18 It is estimated that Russia has more spies inside the United States today than it did at any point during the Cold War.

Unfortunately, whenever I write an article about Russia I find that most people simply do not get it.  They will make statements such as “the Cold War is over” or “Russia is our friend” which show a complete and total lack of understanding of the current geopolitical situation.

Russia has been steadily building a stronger relationship with China, and collectively they represent the number one strategic threat to the United States.

Someday this will become abundantly clear to the American people.  Hopefully it will not be too late by the time they realize it.

  • David Fuhriman

From 2007 to the present, I have lived in Russia three times–twice in Moscow and in Chelyabinsk and Samara. I have seen the changes in Moscow over that short time period. The city is truly a great city second to none. Yes Paris, you heard that right. Moscow is full of great museums, restaurants, parks, and clubs. The city is still building new apartments and chic shopping centers. The roads are basically in good condition. The metro is fast and efficient. Yes, Moscow is expensive but you can find cheaper products by finding the right stores. The train stations in both Samara and Chelyabinsk are first class.
Russia is blessed with an abundance of natural resources. These resources make the country rich. Russian businessmen are clever and have become rich. It is normal to see Jaguars and Mercedes around the streets.
Yes, Russia is becoming stronger, militarily and economically. Yes, the West should not overlook Russia. The US should try harder to understand Russia and forge stronger ties.

    • AsianLibertarian

What about the racism and homophobia in the country? Isn’t there a huge skinhead problem going on right now in Russia?

      • Stezie

The US isn’t really a role model when it comes to that. In fact, it’s turning out to be the worst example, even if they try to deny it.

        • AsianLibertarian

Well…I agree. That’s why I’ll be leaving the U.S. pretty soon. As for Russia, I’m just saying…all those news reports can’t be wrong? Can they?

      • David Fuhriman

I didn’t say anything in my entry about skinheads and racism in Russia and I won’t say anything about it.

      • Colin

        Your point?

It goes unsaid that racism and homophobia are black marks on a country, knucklehead.

Russia is not our friend and they view us as adversaries on just about every level. Russia is in it to win it, they don’t make moves on foreign relations that don’t benefit the well being of its country and financially. They also don’t run trillion dollar deficits, don’t make apologies for poor choices in history, don’t have poor GDP ratios, and utilize their countries resources to its benefit. They, along with China will wait until the dollar dies to make their move.

Guess what? They don’t have a death tax either (guess what superpower does).

        • GSOB

Go move and find your burial plot then.

    • markthetruth

      Thanks to Cyber crime Too,

      the end…

    • GOM

and you should not overlook the racism and poverty in dear ole’ Russia. yes, what you say is spot on, BUT these changes are for the well-to do and no one else matters. that “giant wall” around the elites houses all the finer things in life[like food & electricity] you know, a ‘keep the peasants at bay’ type deal. and, the U.S. does understand Russia. it understands the bond it has with China. hense the beefing up of military strategically……dosvedanya

  • Ralfine

Yes, you need to upgrade your military, too. And make 30 trillion more debts. The military expense race initiated by Reagan effectively killed the Sovietunion (SU). This new arms race might finally kill the US. But well, go ahead.

  • JailBanksters

I think, when people think of Russia they don’t think of Technology, but they have quite a bit of good technology, but their manufacturing eh

Russia has always been a superpower, whether under the Tsars or Communism, or Capitalism as now. Authoritarianism has served them well over the centuries. They have beaten Napoleon, Hitler, China, and the Moslims. Never sell them short.

Things in Russia we call “weaknesses” are really strengths. It behoves us to cultivate them. Never anger a Bear.

Russia being the “Heartland” power in terms of Geopolitics, has everything in common with Oceania which is basically the Anglo-Americans. Both us and they have been, and are, historically threatened by upstart Rimland powers such as France, Germany China, Islam, China and Japan.

Russia has never fought a war with either America or England, and has always allied with us. We would do well to totally ignore the Russia bashers and bigots, primarily the RCC lobby which has always seen the Orthodox religion as its biggest threat. The RCC is a a great religion of much value to America, BUT we can never allow it to come between Russia and America, NEVER!

    Google “FounderChurch”

    • General Patton

They did not beat Hitler! The US bailed out Russia and the rest of Europe. If we didn’t enter the war then Russia would be speaking German!

      • Gay Veteran

guess you forgot how the Soviets bled out the German army in Russia

        • General Patton

The Germans had new technology the Soviets couldn’t compete with. The only reason they lost was because they had to fight a battle on 2 fronts. If they didn’t have to worry about us then all the troops on the Atlantic Wall could have sent to the fight the Soviets.

          • Gay Veteran

The Soviets had the major burden in the war in Europe.

      • Aleksandar Tomić

Go watch the movies, they don’t lie right?

      • micky

Are you kidding me? The Russians had pushed the Nazis back out of Russia, through Ukraine and through Poland and were invading Germany BEFORE the first American boot stepped into France in June of 1944. It cost Russia 20 million dead to beat Hitler…Don’t insult their contribution…the US paid less than half a million dead in that war. The German army we faced had been reduced to boys and old men guarding Western Europe since the Russians has killed or captured millions of Hitlers best soldiers before we ever even started fighting.

  • Dmitriy Gaydukov

Well, there are 18 reasons why Russia is rising, but there is no reasons why US or west in general should be afraid of Russia. So can anybody explain me why rising of Russia is a threat to US??

    • Beanodle

Russia traditional enemies have been the Chinese. Russia’s future enemies will be the same ones that the U.S, and China will face.
It makes no sense for Russia, China and the U.S. to whack away at each other when the real enemy is starting to undermine all countries.

    • chris

I think they mean a threat to US ambitions of permanent Global domination. I would put my money on China though taking over from the US.

  • ReyR

The American people indeed are confronted with deadly enemies: its corrupt government, the FRS, social forces and parasite minorities that abuse, undermine and destroy its age-old national and family values. But this list does not include Russians. Yes, we are building our defenses, but remember: since the USSR collapsed, the NATO has surrounded us. We live in a circle of NATO bases. Putin is doing the right thing.

  • Vlad Lenin

Face it. America is getting flushed down the toilet of history just like Rome. There’s no stopping it.

And the one thing we do have in common with Russia…actually the Soviet Union… is we’re about to go through the same type of break up. I suggest you leave the U.S. or at least move to the south east part of the country.

    • FounderChurch

Only adopting the program and teachings of “FounderChurch” has a chance of saving America. Google it and lets get started….

    • williaml

I thought we were already socialists. USSA
      1. If I own my home that is paid for but fail to pay property tax, the government takes it.
      2. I must have government permission to build on my property.
      3. what I want to build must be have clearance by the government
      4. I must have the proper documents to drive my car.
      5. I must have the proper documentation on my vehicle
the list goes on and on

      • Ayn Rand

I agree that that is annoying, all the government regulations, but I must say that you are being somewhat hypocritical by saying this. You advocate a theocracy, church and state combining, essentially a religious dictatorship, yet you want the government to get off your back? how about this: Don’t kill, don’t steal, don’t rape, don’t harm others property, others persons, or others rights… There. Simple law code.

        • matt93312

The only kind of government that can survive is a Monarchistic Theocracy in which the head of state is omnipotent, omniscient, immortal and almighty.

All other systems fail under the weight of their own excesses. There is no simple law code without a law-giver.

          • Ayn Rand

I would rather have chaos than bow to any one authority such as that. Count me out.

        • J M

Simple code? Yes, it’s called the Ten Commandments and crime has gotten worse since the socialist saboteurs took them out of the schools so now younger murderous psychopaths run amok then ever before.

    • Gay Veteran

America has become the Soviet Union. WE are the evil empire

      • Mudpie

Yes, the paradigm has changed and things are very, very weird.

    • Mudpie

We should be so lucky to go through such a peaceful breakup.

I pray that nobody gets hurt and that we all can live together without the Govt. or NSA smashing in our doors on some “mistaken” trumped up drug charges . . . by the way, is the First Amendment still valid here?

I guess it depends on how Obama feels that day.

      • Mudpie

Or maybe how John Roberts, Esquire, feels that day.

        • CJ

After all, it was the Supreme Court who ruled that PRIVATE companies could TAKE private property from landowners for their OWN use whether the owner agrees or not.

    • vinzerx

Why the southeast? I thought Florida was especially susceptible to the extreme changes in climate that’s happening now.

    • CJ

oh, heck no. Don’t mover to the south east. You’re drinking the runoff from Appalachia where they dump poisoned frack water into the coal mines. Coal mines are the deep underground storage wells they claim to SAFELY put the chemical laden water into.

  • Jackie Milton

Russia has fewer blacks that hold back the progression of the country than we do here in the US.

    • Stezie

      Sadly, you may be right.

      • david ramseur

Russia also will not let the homosexual agenda tear its country apart as it is doing in the west. They are safeguarding the morality of their culture.

        • FounderChurch

          You got it!

        • markthetruth

Not sure about that their women look like men more then our men.

          the end…

          • condaggitt

Maybe its because the harsh climate and women cant afford to lay back and be full time housewives like in our luxury country.

          • jaxon64

have you ever watched women’s tennis?..also many of the world’s supermodels are russian..quit watching 1950’s anti-soviet propoganda films…
PS: quit hating on the russian people. Yoiu may dislike their communist history or any statist, socialist policies they may have–fine…but childish, derogatory comments about an entire nation of people is wrong—just as your racist comment about it being too cold for blacks. Whenever you lump an entire race or nationality of people together with ignorant generalizations–that is the very definition of racism..I expect better from you since your insights are often quite accurate.
            Do better..

          • General Patton

Russians are not nice people and if you doubt that, go ask the German women and children that got raped and murdered during the Red occupation.

        • Ayn Rand

F*ck that. Really? blame the homosexuals. Good for you idiot. I like to blame the bankers, the government, and corporate elite. They actually cause the stuff we see. Morality is simple. If it does not hurt someone or that persons property or rights, then it is ok. If it hurts someone’s property, rights, or person then it is wrong. Homosexuality harms no one. You take away the homosexuals rights by telling them what to do.

          • davidmpark

Actually, they’re doing it because of population problems. They are underpopulated to crisis level. Several years ago I remember the Ruskie’s had a special holiday for all married couples to take a day off and make wild jungle monkey love to promote a baby boom.

          • Ayn Rand

INGENIOUS! WOW! You have made all of us who criticize the system look crazy again! Just like those who believe that aliens are NWO! Thanks for undermining whatever little influence we have on the public. PEOPLE CAN DO AS THEY PLEASE! HOMOSEXUALS DO NOT HURT YOU OR ME!

          • GSOB

Freedom to do that which is unnatural.

you can’t argue with bigots and racists

        • Gay Veteran

you really need to move to Saudi Arabia

        • Gay Veteran

the “homosexual agenda”? oh, you mean equal rights

    • markthetruth

It’s because it to damm Cold for them !!!

      the end…

      • williaml

that is a lie and you know it

    • williaml

I hate to tell you but blacks are not what is holding back the progression of this country.

It is the environmentalists, tree huggers, homos, socialists, immoral, illegals, multiculturalism and separation of church and state that is destroying this country.
      the answer:
      1. return to GOD
      2. one national language ENGLISH
      3. the rest will fall in order

      • Gay Veteran

move to Saudi Arabia if you want a theocracy

        • Ayn Rand

But no, gay veteran, Muslims ARE EVIL!!! the bible says so, even though it never says DIRECTLY SO! I must “Interpret it.”

The fundamentalists just can’t stop killing and plundering can they?

          • Gay Veteran

the fundamentalists are the new pharisees

      • Gay Veteran

don’t like clean air and water? move to China

      • Ayn Rand

1: FREEDOM OF RELIGION! TRY THAT ONE!
2: People can speak whatever language they want to speak. They just hold themselves back by not learning.

Environmentalism is important. I do not believe in global warming, but I do know that they (the elite) are irradiating and polluting our environment. I don’t like socialism. Homosexuals do not hurt you or me. Immorality is in the eye of the person. As long as you do not harm others, their property, or their rights, then you have done no harm. Culture should be independent of gov’t. Stop being a statist/theocrat trying to shove your religion down others throats. If you make it mandatory to go to church, I will rebel, with gun in hand.

      • Aleksandar Tomić

For country to last it needs national history, And it has to be a lot more than 300 or so years.

        • williaml

The older a country or civilization gets, the more history it gains.
This rule applies from its beginning to its demise.
It does not matter if it is 1, 10, 100, 1000, or 10,000 years

Russia does what it has to do to survive. They don’t play by any rules but their own, so don’t expect them to just roll over like so many of our bought “friends” the “made” men of the American Mafia.

  • Stezie

Honestly, good for them. If only the US had the backbone and the resolution the Russians have, it would probably still be a world superpower. Russia is a master at inter-national politics. Unlike the US, it knows how to effectively play this game.

    • FounderChurch

It knows how to pursue its own interests, instead of being co-opted left and right by other people’s agendas domestic and foreign.

      • dan

I personally believe all of you are way off track. On the back of the dollar is the sign of the illuminati and freemasons. Who do they serve? Why are they wanting to be so dominant in the united states? Or is it they are dominant in the world? Regardless, there is two theories, the west is the hub for the stage of antichrist and new world order, which it clearly shows because of the technology and how we wrap our arms around the globe with our military and culture. The Russians know that its only a matter of time until NATO and u.s. will install those nuke defenses and shutdown the only thing the Russians have over us. The u.s. aint going no where, don’t believe for a min that its really caving in. That’s a ploy to mislead people from the truth.
Theory number 2 would be that we are pre destined to have a new world order and the super powers are fighting whos going to have stakes in it. In other words whos going to be the biggest share holder. The illuminati are in charge of it all above all the slander and rumor talk , they control everything and basically they serve the one and only you know who. Their goal is to reduce human population and create a mankind that is totally immortal and doesn’t even need earth anymore.

  • Darin

Russia protects their economy like the U S used to do. Our politicians and many of our companies have sold the middle-class out to globalization. We have lost ou identity as a nation. When we left our judeo-christian values along with becoming multicultural we were doomed. The Bible predicts a resurgence of Russia in the last days and a powerful Asia. America will not be the power player it has been for the last 60 or so years as these final days play out.

    • markthetruth

The bible does not predict a resurgence of Russia in the last days and a powerful Asia

It Says Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation . Which we are at.

      the end…

      • Darin

Resurgence was a bad choice of words, however the Bible does talk about a Russia, along with several Islamic nations,(Ezek. 38-39), that comes against Israel in the last days. As for Asia, the Bible speaks of a large army from the east in Rev. 9 and the “kings of the east” in Rev. 16. The antichrist receives tidings from the east in Dan. 11. Russia and Asia today are taking their positions as seperate but powerful nations from the also powerful Western nations of the New World Order and eventual “beast” kingdom of Rev. 13

        • guest

Finally somebody who actually understands prophecy! I suspect we might be members of the same small religious group :-)

          • Darin

We must be.:) Amazing some of the beliefs. There is going to be some differences in interpretation on prophecy but some of this stufff is dangerous!

        • williaml

Don’t leave this point of scripture out.
(Dan 7:5 KJV) And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

          • Darin

The bear of Dan. 7 is actually the Medo- Persian empire that conquered Babylon. It was followed by Greece. It was the Persians under Cyrus who allowed the Jews to return to their homeland as predicted by Isaiah.

          • jaxon64

exactly..and the building of the temple that was later destroyed by Ephisus from Rome–as Jesus foretold that not one brick would be left standing.
There will be one last temple built in Jerusalem which will be defiled by the abomination which creates desolation–the man of perdition will sit on the throne and demand that the world worship him…
To your point though…the kings of the east and the army of 100 million prophecy–this is one of the more clear and understandable prophecies as only China and her satellite countries could field a physical, marching army or that many–in fact, I have read that they currently could field 100 million and march toward the middle east if needed–the Euphrates being dry enough to cross by foot is also now fulfilled…..the hour is late..
“The young lions of Tarshish”..or western nmations will ask Russia-“have you come to take plunder?”…Israel now has discovered vast wealth of natural gas and could become a huge potential exporter to Europe–Russia can’t allow this. Talk about a hook in the jaw of the bear….

            – an exposition of the book of Revelation

            or

            Ephisus? really?

            Try Titus

          • jaxon64

sorry…I assumed e1 would know Titus was emperor at the time..it was Ephesus–the Roman General that was actually in charge of the destruction and horrors done in Jerusalem…

How exactly could a book written CENTURIES before either Russia or Islam even existed refer to them at all?!? Common sense says those references are to the imperial powers of THOSE DAYS (Assyria, the Persian Empire or Rome depending on the “prophet”).

          • Aeffesstoo

Perhaps the source of Biblical writings knew more than the people that actually put the words to paper.

          • jaded

The thing about religion is there is no common sense. Wake up people.

          • Ayn Rand

Exactly. People beg for something to believe in. A lot of stuff in the Bible is truth, but a lot of it makes me want to throw up. People should stop being sheep and think upon things for themselves.

          • Erick Perez

With love i tell you this: Please review your beliefs, i hope change your soul to the Lord, Yeshua & you understand…

            Matthew 12:36-37
            New International Version (NIV)

36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

          • Ayn Rand

Well, you said so politely, unlike a lot of those who preach, so I will be polite. I used to be Christian. Then I thought “why should we bow to a ‘Lord’ who is effected by rage jealousy and anger, which are sins in my book. Why should I follow beliefs where even good people go to h*ll if they aren’t Christian? Why should people not be free?” So, I renounced Christianity.

          • Erick Perez

I think the problem is the interpretation of Bible, do not belive a man:
            Jeremiah 17:5
            5 Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
            And makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.

            No religion can save you:

            James 1:27
27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

But please keep reading Bible & ask Holy Spirit help you understand….

The expression Gog and Magog does not, and never did, refer to Russia.

          • Darin

Gog, Magog, Rosh in Ezekial do refer to the Russian people and region. You can trace them from the defendant’s of Noah to that region. Persia is modern day Iran

          • Mondobeyondo

If not Russia, then who do they refer to?

This is the kind of crap interpretation that makes Christianity unnecessarily foolish in the eyes of those who have no faith. The Bible is not some kind of code book which gives history in advance to those who can decipher the numbers. It is instead a revelation of God’s saving grace in Christ Jesus and a call to have faith in him as the Lord of history. Christians can know where history ends: in the fullness of the Kingdom of God. As to the nature of geo-politics in the time leading to God’s Kingdom, the Bible gives no information. I’m thankful for that!

          • matt93312

You are wrong. It is history written in advance to guide the faithful and rub it in Satan’s face on judgement day. It is not your prerogative to allegorize the sections you don’t understand and ignore the parts that disagree with your politics. God is not subject to your shallow interpretation of his Word. Jesus spoke far more on the topic of hell then he did on heaven because he came with a message of warning and hope. If you are not getting the “whole counsel of God” in your church, I suggest that you find a church that believes the bible and ignores the tradition of men.

          • cynicfrombc

I don’t think you should judge my faith and my church because we don’t accept your literalistic interpretations of prophecy. The New Testament makes it abundantly clear that the church is God’s chosen people and his holy nation; indeed, the Scriptures go so far as to declare that the church is the “Israel of God.” Thus, the OT prophecies regarding Israel are fulfilled in Christ and in his church. I would rather stick with this apostolic reading of the Old Testament than with the ideas of Darby and his followers including Hal Lindsey and the authors of “Left Behind.” In the end, the failed predictions of these men and their ilk and their blind support of the modern atheistic state of Israel have done a lot to discredit the gospel. They have also done a lot to prod America to foreign policy decisions that are stupid and unjust because of a blind favouritism toward Israel.

        Consider this scripture:
(Dan 7:5 KJV) And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

Please provide your source, or link. You getting this from church?

      • Mondobeyondo

There are those who claim that Magog (or Gog) is, or will be, the revived Russian empire.

    • Morgan

Bible does NOT predict a resurgence of Russia. As a matter of fact Russia is not even mentioned in the Bible. Nor is China.

Bible does however talk about a Great Whore riding a beast with seven heads.

Is pretty clear that The Great Whore are the Zionists who control (sit on) the 7 headed beast which is the US and other Western nations.

It also predicts that the beast will at the end turn against the Great Whore “and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.”

      Book of Revelation 17.15-18

      • Darin

Sorry Morgan but the great Whore of Rev. 17 has nothing to do with Zion, but is the Apostate church system that rides the “beast” system, (the revised Roman empire), of the antichrist that geographically is Europe, parts of the middle east. Yes he does turn on the Whore in the middle of the Tribulation,(Rev. 13), and demands worship of himself as God. He will try to destroy Israel but a remnant will remain and turn to their Messiah, (Zech. 12:10-14.)

        • Morgan

NO, you are wrong. According to the Bible the Great Whore is responsible for all the murders of prophets and apostles and of Our Lord Jesus. The Church is not responsible for any of these.

The Zionists and their ancestors fit the bill and that’s why they are the Great Whore.

          • Darin

The true church is not responsible. The Whore will be lead by, though not limited to the Roman Catholic church. History shows that Roman Catholicism is “drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus”,(it doesnt say the apostles or Jesus when describing the Whore, Rev.17:6.) Jesus said that when talking to the jewish religious leaders about their Old Testament ancestors. Rev. 17 is speaking of martyrs of church age. The true church, the “body of Christ” should be looking for Christ’s coming to catch his saints away, 1 Thess. 4:15-18.

          • markthetruth

In traditional Christian belief, Jesus the Messiah appears in his Second Coming to Earth, to face the emergence of the Antichrist figure. Just as Christ is the savior and the ideal model for humanity, his opponent in the End of Days will be a single figure of concentrated evil.

            the end…

          • Erick Perez

With love i tell you this: Please consider this, Yashua is the name…

‘Jesus’ may be the name of a Pagan God
Below are some notes from research,

“THERE IS ONLY ONE NAME UNDER HEAVEN BY WHICH MAN CAN BE SAVED” IT IS NOT PRONOUNCED “JESUS” (hey-zoos!)
It is Yahshua, which means Yah is our salvation.

            The latin-greek word ‘Jesus’ = Je-Zeus (hey-zoos).
Zeus or dios is the Greek Sun God, hence “Sun”day worship.
The real name for the messiah is Yahshuah.
            “Soos” is Hebrew for “horse.”
This Pagan name ‘sus’ is used in many name-endings like Tarsus, Pegasus, Dionysus, Parnassus, etc., to honor Zeus phonetically. The Greek name endings like sus, sous, and seus were employed to give honor to “Zeus.”
            “Sus” in Latin means “pig”

          • MomOf3Boys

As long as He knows we worship Him, does it matter if we call Him Jesus, Yeshua, Almighty, God, Father/Son, Provider, Healer… Jesus knows who HE is, even if we imperfect humans messed up his name over time <3

          • Erick Perez

Whith all my love: I am not from any religion.

Yeshua is a name which means ‘God is salvation’ in HEBREW his language (at age 12 we find sitting in the Temple discussing the finer points of the Torah with the religious leaders of his day. Such a discussion undoubtedly occurred in Hebrew)

“Jesus is a corrupted name derived from the Greek IESOUS. Ies, or iysh in Hebrew means man, while sus -soos means horse, so when you speak that name, you are referring to the Messiah as “man horse” or “man beast”.”

“The name IESOUS or “hey-soos” means “hey horse

We should certainly study all of the names and titles of God to understand the character of the One we worship

            Yeshua Bless You…

          • MomOf3Boys

I agree everyone should do research on what they believe. But again, I’m pretty sure God understands humanity’s imperfect manner of passing information over the generations. It’s not like if I say Jesus that I’m mentally calling him “hey horse” God knows our hearts. Not everyone can be scholars and know everything about the bible.

          • Erick Perez

My beloved soul: I’m agree with you: “Not everyone can be scholars and know everything about the bible” in fact, nobody knows. & Agree with:” It’s not like if I say Jesus that I’m mentally calling him “hey horse” God knows our hearts” because I use to do that!. But as far as i know, you are mom of 3 boys, i am father of 2 boys & you, like me want to raise your children with the best in life, you & me agree: GOD is the best. & You like me are responsible for future man: ”

            Isaiah 13:12-14

            King James Version (KJV)

12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. So you have a great responsibility please do this teach your boys the real name & see the blessing for your family & see how they do not oppose like adults to the real name… P.D do your research & do not belive me:

            Jeremiah 17:5

Tell me why was Martin Luther persecuted by the Roman Church if they saved the scriptures.
Why did the roman church burn the books if they were saving the scriptures
Why did the roman church dig up Tyndale’s body and burn his bones when all he did was translate the Bible into English
            that is just for starters

Yup, the devil sure does try to add his confusion in, doesn’t he? Man is not perfect and has messed up a lot of things, including “religion”. It’s ok, because the one true word is “Love”. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

interesting, a religion based on human sacrifice

          • MomOf3Boys

Have you ever TRIED to understand it at all or just allowed your sarcasm to keep God away this whole time? You sure are a trying person GayVeteran! Have you ever had something so good, so pure, so wonderful in your life that you would give anything or do anything to have it back? Silly as it may sound, that’s kinda how God feels about us. He knew Jesus would overcome death in the end, He’s just giving us as much time as He can to allow those with hardened hearts to have a last chance…

          • Gay Veteran

Christianity is interesting in that it is indeed based on human sacrifice. And only humans would be so arrogant to accept that.

          • Gay Veteran

LOL, I don’t think many protestants would agree with that.
and the catholic church is corrupt to the core

          • CJ

Catholics do not pray TO Mary and the Saints like they are God. Catholics believe the Saints AND Mary, are very much alive even now and we ask them to pray FOR us. If you have heard your version from other preachers, then your preachers don’t know much and should not comment on things they know nothing about.

          • MomOf3Boys

You don’t need those mediators. Christ is our mediator, just as you don’t need a priest to mediate for you. Jesus died so we can have a personal relationship with God, and that’s why the curtain was torn in the temple, it’s symbolic :)

        • Mark Mitchell

You are trying to rewrite Dan 7:5 here….the Bear has 3 ribs in it’s mouth but all 3 beast are conquered by the 4th beast and will remain but will never have power. This has zero to do with Russia ..zero.

    • Ayn Rand

I don’t get why people are always so overly obsessive about “Judeo-Christian values.” The only reason we lost our great economy was by selling out to the big bankers and, as you said, globalization. I completely disagree with your cultural analysis. It does not affect the economy.

      • Darin

I believe it was John Adams who said our system will only work for a religious, moral people. Well! Its not working and the root of the problem goes back to straying from these values. Globalization, Marxism, socialism, greed, political corruption, etc. all stem from this. Moral rot and economic deterioration go hand in hand. How can a society steeped in debauchery long stand?

        • williaml

religious, moral people are Not running things
remember they want a separation of church and state.
These are the last days and it will get worse before it gets better.
The time we are living in are what Jesus called the beginning of sorrows

          • Darin

            Agreed!

          • Ayn Rand

Because separation of church and state is a bad thing. F*ck you. How dare you try and destroy religious freedom. You religious fundamentalists are evil. Forcing your religion upon others is evil. Does it not say in the bible to “not pass judgment upon others?”

        • GusFarmer

Morality and religion are two different things, and it’s easy to be moral without religion. Religion is simply another form of government, another group of powerful parasites siphoning taxes (tithes) and other resources off people who actually work for a living..

          • Ayn Rand

I concur. Organized religion is evil. The crazy fundamentalists need to get away from all of us civilized people.

          • GSOB

Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

          • Darin

When the foundes spoke of religion they were generally speaking of Christianity. Most if not all people are religious about something. Salvation is the key, not religion

          • GusFarmer

Most of the major founders were Deists and strongly secular, including John Adams. You mentioned him above, but he specifically signed and supported the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli, which states, in Art. 11:”… the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion …” There’s not a lot of wiggle room there.

          • Darin

There is know way to have even a basic knowledge of American history and read the words of the founders, not to mention our laws being rooted in the Bible, “the laws of nature and natures God” and believe that nonsense. Secularist like to paint the founders as diest and secuarist to fit their own world view and agenda.

          • MomOf3Boys

wow, really? Religion is a form of government? We don’t get arrested or go to hell if we don’t tithe. But GIVING is moral right? So what’s the problem again?

          • GusFarmer

Yeah, giving is moral. But there’s no reason it has to be through a church organization, which tends to use such money to support itself at least as much as to do any good. Those who choose to be church-goers have every right to do so, and most are honest, decent people. But it’s not a coincidence that church and state were strongly intertwined through most of human history, since the same families typically provided both secular and religious rulers whose roles were often intentionally muddy.

        • Ayn Rand

…. I don’t get it. what does not harm others or others property/rights is not evil. All societies have murder, rape theft, etc. A society with plenty of debauchery can exist, as long as their is a good economy to back it.

          • GusFarmer

I generally agree regarding harming others; most private behavior labeled “sin” falls in that category. But sometimes property “rights” trample various other needs and personal rights, and that causes big problems.

          • Ayn Rand

John Locke did advocate some limitations on excessive land ownership if one entity’s holdings became too large. I would say that I agree it may be necessary to break up the occasional extreme monopoly. However, those rarely come into being in true laissez faire capitalism.

          system?

            Excuse me, constitution

      • williaml

I find your quote: The only reason we lost our great economy was by selling out to the big bankers……
        falls perfectly in line with

(1 Tim 6:10 KJV) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
love of money has killed our country,
from greedy banks (usury) , greedy businesses (high prices), greedy government (taxes).
All of this has caused the people to demand higher wages to survive.
        this is a vicious cycle.

        • Ayn Rand

I disagree. Greed is not evil. Parasitism is. I am greedy, but I do not harm others. Therefore I am moral.

          • GusFarmer

Greed often causes parasitism by warping the priorities of the greedy person into losing sight of others’ needs and the long-term best interests of the whole community. The greedy then take advantage of the community and others to serve their own ends while justifying it to themselves with such BS as the “trickle-down theory,” “might-makes-right,” “noblesse oblige” and even “divine right,” depending on when and where in history you were.

          • Ayn Rand

True. I say that, as long as greed is checked by decent morality (do not harm others) then it is a positive. I agree that extreme greed causes extreme hurt to many, such as our current elite robbing us of our livelihoods

They are not known by the names you know them today (U.S, England, Israel, Germany, etc), but by their ancestral names: Manasseh, Judah, Ephraim, etc. The “lost” tribe of Dan = Danmark which is Danish for “DENMARK”!

Germany is the modern day name for Assyria.

Once you understand this, the Bible, ad Bible prophecy, begin to make sense.

Forgot one…Russia is looking into Thorium technology, if they get it up and running they will advance about 100 years in 24 months. U.S. doesn’t like to think about using Thorium because the byproduct doesn’t make big boom boom. If a Thorium reactor fails it just cools down, Technology exists to put Thorium reactors in your garage to power your house right down to your electric car.

    Hello,

Here are some hastily scribbled thoughts, offered in opposition to the purblind provincialism on display in Mr. Snyder’s sermonette…

The thousands of hours that I have expended studying the Cold War led me to the stone-cold conclusion that that conflict was 98% the work
    of Washington.

How many Americans know, inter alia, that:

    1) the US, in concert with Great Britain invaded Russia as World War I was concluding;

    2) the US refused to diplomatically recognize the Soviet Union for 15 years following the Russian Revolution (such poutish and loutish
    behavior ill behooves a “great” nation, no?);

    3) America’s contribution to the Allies victory in the Euro theater of World War II paled in comparison to that of the Soviets;

    4) the Pentagon, than as now firmly under the thumb of sociopaths, had concocted a list of over 300 Russian cities to be expunged from the
    Earth with their newfangled atom bombs before war’s end — a bleak prospectus that would shortly be expanded to include over 700 cities ;

    5) the USAF, under the stewardship of troglodyte Generalissimo Curtis LeMay, attempted on 60-plus occasions during the Ike Age to
initiate nuclear war with the Russians, on at least one instance going so far as to fly bombers over Moscow boulevards — at treetop levels —
and, that as late as 1988, Curtis the Crazed continued to lament the fact that we hadn’t destroyed the Soviets with what he affectionately
termed his “Sunday punch” — thankfully the Russians declined to take a swig from the General’s Little Brown Jug; and

    6) the US today is re-engaged in the encirclement of Russia, a policy that began under BillyJeff’s watch, and that this profoundly misguided approach will drive Russia, a natural ally of Europe, into the arms of China (perhaps, that is the purpose of such… )

I, on the other hand, would take Messrs Putin and Gorbachev, and even Boris the Bibulous, over any American President from LBJ on…

For the sake of peace loving people — wherever
they may reside — a countervailing force must emerge so as to curtail the predations of DeathStar America before it completely ravages this fragile planet.

Mr. Snyder’s prognostications vis-a-vis resurgent Russia are, simply put, vapid right wing gibberish.

    Cheers,

    JQP

I think your pink diaper is showing! You must, if you can, differentiate between RUSSIA and Communism. You sound like an old lefty. Am I right? While I applaud Russia, I deplore Communism as any sane person should. I applaud the RUSSIANS for getting rid of their Communist Cancer.

      • ws

Good points—-isn’t it ironic that Russia moved away from Communism while we move towards it—-oh, the games the elite bankers play with us to keep us fighting and kiling each other for their control freak amibitions.

        • ian

you people are freakin retarded if you think we are anywhere near

I think we agree for once Ian. However, because of this corporate plutocracy, very well put I might add, I believe we will be killed off by the elite for a variety of reasons. What says you?

    One more you can add—–
“Russia has a more honest media than the United States. Citizens wishing to get the truth about the fraud and widespread corruption that takes place in the banana republic kleptocracy formerly known as the USA can look to Pravda or RT for hard hitting, honest news about the daily corruption that takes place in Amerika”

    • RarefiedSnotress

and isn’t it funny how we were made to believe long ago how evil the KGB was with their spy techniques? Now look at how the USA spies on it’s citizens.

      • ws

Good point. It is fair and accurate to say that Amerika is the most corrupt and hypocritical society in the history of mankind at this point and is not salvagable because it has descended into a banana republik with corrupt special interests controlling everything including the printing of money. the citizens of Amerika don’t stand a chance, sad to say.

          • GusFarmer

The problem isn’t Left or Right. It’s the fact a relative handful of oligarchs are manipulating BOTH sides for their own benefit, using slogans that push each side’s buttons vs the other to keep us all divided rather than focused on them.

          • TJ

The Left IS a problem. It is institutionalized treason and it is the hobby horse of those same oligarchs and the right is phony opposition.

We are a banana republic, it’s true. And it’s by design. Minorities were let in en masse since 1965 Immigration Act in order to provide pawns for them to play divide and conquer with.

I guess it goes both ways. Russian media is honest about US affairs, and US media is honest about Russian affairs. It’s always a good idea for any citizen of any country to look to foreign media as another point of reference on things that happen in their own home countries.

  • RarefiedSnotress

While these are all interesting statistics, I have to wonder if Russia suffers the same disparities that the USA suffers. Are their CEOs making 273x what the average worker makes? How many average citizens are living in poverty? Any obnoxious housing bubbles? How does living quality for the average citizen in the USSR compare to the US? From what I understand, housing is generally overcrowded with families in small apartments with undivided/roomless spaces.
Without googling I will assume that at least the medical system there doesn’t gouge their citizens like in the USA,. I assume that it is socialized and it actually works for them.
While Russia may be outdoing us economically for the time being, does that really equate to quality of life?

    • FounderChurch

Another Lefty confused about life. Didn’t Lenin call them “useful fools”? The Left (Democrat) agenda is exactly what is wrong with America, an agenda that Russia is still shaking off, thank God.

        • Gregg

The answer is so clear that you would be unable to see it through the fog of your chosen ideology. • Gay Veteran

Laissez faire capitalism ends up with monopolies and cartels

          • Ayn Rand

Must disagree with ya there. The only reason we have monopolies and cartels today is because of government involvement. Government regulators and the taxmen are bribed by the monopolies and cartels, who are then allowed to do whatever they want. If we get government out of business we will get rid of corruption.

          • Gay Veteran

even without government involvement you would still get monopolies and cartels because corporations will seek to maximize their profits

          • Ayn Rand

But there will always be competition. As long as it is free, there will always be someone duking it out with someone. Monopolies and cartels are created when there is no competition. Free market ENSURES competition.

          • Gay Veteran

there was little competition during the age of the Robber Barons and their monopolies

          • Ayn Rand

Only because of ridiculous laws limiting the movement of people on the social ladder. Also, most of the time when there is a monopoly, it is government mandated.

I keep in close tough with a number of Russians who continue to be hard working and shrewd and the improvements continue in a debt free manner. The people in Russia are sensible, kind, decent, passionate and very hard working.

Russia has more natural resources than we do. Palladium, silver, rare woods, and rare Earth metals are abundant. They are the next heir apparent to Earth, whether we like it or not.

Have the Russians made great advances in submarines, yes. In the Russian navy, the submarine is given priority over surface vessels. The U.S. navy is built around the aircraft carrier. Do the Russians have better fighter aircraft then the U.S.? Probably, if you consider how many times the entire F22 fleet has been grounded. First duty of the Russian military, defend the homeland. First duty of the U.S. military, buy overpriced weapon systems. And then spend many more billions of dollars, and many years of time. To get them to actually work.

Russia has also had a more stable population than the US. (It actually went down for a bit in the 1990s). Overpopulation = misery.

Russia is very interested in raising their birth rate and are spending lots of money to do so. You are wrong in your calculations that a small population is helpful. It is not. I could go into WHAT they are doing, but it is significant. Their low birth rate is the result of 3 generations of living enslaved by Communists (ie Democrats).

I guess my question is how did they do it?
Obviously they were bankrupt at one point in time.
In a movie called Charlie’s War the Russians were losing more than a Combat Helicopter a day to people using portable weapons on horseback. The Combat Helicopters were expensive. The military effort itself almost did them in using very expensive weapons against very primitive technology.

Seems to me like we are like-wise invested in over expensive navy equipment that we can lose in a heart beat. Same goes for our Air Force planes.
The last time I checked, the U.S. Army also has a lot of expensive equipment that is difficult to replace.
The answer is logistics. When I was in service we used inexpensive half ton trucks not Hummers. At the time on the open market a new car was available in our currency for about 3,500 dollars. So given that information a half ton truck was probably about 5-6 thousand. Currently a Hummer was getting 9 miles to a gallon and was going for over 50,000 in today’s currency. We are fighting at least two possibly 3 wars in the Middle East. Our Army is using Hummers not half ton trucks. The logistics of this astound me.
How much would one Aircraft Carrier cost and how long would it take to take one down with one of those subs? And what do we replace it with?

The answers are blowing in the wind. Because no one on our side of the fence appears to be questioning things that need to be questioned.
I maintain we lost our wars a long time ago and we continue to get into situations we have no business getting into. Again it is a matter of logistics as much as anything else.

We should have had automated drones 50 years ago taking the place of soldiers in the field. We had the technology but were afraid to use it.
The first step is to know your enemy way of thinking. The Chinese game of war is something similar to GO. In which they surround the opponent with pieces then eliminate them.
The Russian game is Chess. They are strategic engineers and very good at it.
The war this country faces is as much economic as it is anything else. This war has been going on since the 1970s.
It is time we take the brains of this country and re-establish our economy on a world wide basis. To do that is going to take genius level planning and we are going to have to make a lot of changes in how we do things.
    “Should have . . .” “Could have . . .” Would have . . .” are all key phrases of failure.
To rebuild this country we have to make the rules of economics work in our favor. That is going to take a silent revolution in the way we do things.
I think that is what the leaders of Russia have done. Now it is our time to copy them in what they have succeeded in doing.

    • K

“How much would one Aircraft Carrier cost and how long would it take to take one down with one of those subs? And what do we replace it with?” Current cost of an aircraft carrier 14 billion dollars, and that does not include the aircraft. It would take such a sub about 20 minutes to take it out. Assuming the sub is within 60 miles. We would not need to replace them. They are only useful, for sticking our nose in other peoples business

      • kfilly

I heard that the Russian military kept track of our navy fleets during the Cold War. They did not plan on engaging in traditional navy conflict as they knew that their navy would not win in a head to head conflict. Instead, they had entire navy fleets targeted with nuclear weapons. It would not just be an aircraft carrier lost in an engagement.

        • K

You heard correctly. No it would be the entire fleet, if they went nuclear.

I think it can said that our nation is falling behind other countries in many areas.

I don’t think Russia has an interest in attacking this nation. I think they are building a buffer zone around them, to protect themselves from invaders and to protect their interests. I see the alliance between China and Russia as an extension of this foreign policy. Sometimes, the government will enter into an alliance with a people who are opposed to them politically and socially, as what happened in 1939 when they entered into an alliance with Germany. This alliance was destroyed when the latter country invaded them. (I think this was one of Hitler’s biggest blunders. He had a reliable trade partner in Russia, who hours before the attack had sent a train filled with supplies to NAZI-occupied Europe.)

Frankly, I am more worried about the enemies of the American people who reside with us. Who this is depends on your political slant. For me, it’s the Tea Party.

Daniel 7:2-4 (KJV) – “2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.”

America (eagle) is birthed from mother England (lion)!

Daniel 7:5 (KJV) – “5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.’ ”

Russia (bear) arises to devour America (eagle)!

Jeremiah 50:12 (KJV) – “12 Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.”

England (lion) will see her daughter America (eagle) devoured!

America, why have you turned away from the LORD? Don’t you know that judgment begins with the house of God?

1 Peter 4:17 (KJV) – “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”
Who can hide from the Most High? No one can! He sees all, hears all, and knows all…AND NOTHING IS HIDDEN FROM HIM!

Revelation 18:7 (KJV) – “How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.”

America, you are no queen! Judgment is coming!

The LORD God is holy, righteous, and just…AND HE DOES NOT CHANGE!

Yes, Russia is on the rise.
Germany is beginning to flex its muscles.
    Economically now, but militarily tomorrow.
Even Japan is getting in on the act.
They are building a new “helicopter transport carrier”, their largest warship since WWII. Looks an awful lot like an AIRCRAFT carrier, if you’ve seen photos of it (Google it).

The ghosts of WWII are returning to haunt us.
Sadly, if war does break out (pray that it never does) – neither the U.S. or England will be there to protect Europe, and the rest of the world, or very likely its own citizens! The U.S. industrial economy has been hollowed out and exported overseas. and it would take a Herculean effort (plus that of Atlas, Superman, Wonder Woman and maybe Apollo too) to ramp up our resources to combat such a threat. We aren’t in a position to do in 2013, what we did in 1943. Without nuclear weapons, we would lose. Weapons of mass destruction… ah, there’s the rub. (YIKES!!)

England has been weakened, economically. The U.S., for all intents and purposes, is bankrupt. Both countries are politically bankrupt. There are no Churchills or Roosevelts on the horizon. We couldn’t do it again, and those that hate us know it.

Trouble indeed. With a capital T, and that rhymes….. oh, you know the rest.

Time to make the corporations pay:

While the average McDonalds employee in the United States makes just above the $7.25 minimum wage, that story is different in other countries. As Jordan Weissmann reports at The Atlantic, the minimum wage for full-time adult workers in Australia is $14.50 and McDonalds employees just negotiated a 15 percent raise by 2016. Yet the company has about 900 locations in the country.

Meanwhile, its profit margins at company-owned restaurants are higher in Europe than in the U.S. despite
many countries there having a higher minimum wage. France’s minimum is
about $12 an hour, and yet there are more than 1,200 locations there.

Residents of other countries pay more for their Big Macs, in part at
least to make up for those extra costs, but the increase in prices is
not drastic. Australians paid an average of $4.62 in
U.S. dollars for a Big Mac in July and it cost $4.66 in the eurozone,
while Americans paid $4.56. That’s a difference of about 6 to 10 extra
cents, which would mean raising Big Mac prices a little over 2 percent
in the U.S. to come equal with those in Europe.

Higher prices are related to the fact that the company does spend
more on the cost of labor in other countries. In the U.S., it spends about 25 percent of its expenses on workers at the locations it owns, and franchises usually assume labor costs will take up about 30 to 35 percent. Worldwide, those costs have been found to come to closer to 45 percent of expenses. But the company reported nearly $5.5 billion in net income overall last year, up from about $2.4 billion in 2007, with more revenues coming from Europe than the U.S.

Australian locations have other ways to keep labor costs low, like
exploiting a loophole that only requires an $8 wage for teenagers.
Weissmann also reports that the company likely gives its higher paid
European employees more responsibility and so ekes out more productivity
from those workers. While productivity has risen in the U.S., wages haven’t.

But it’s clear, even to the company itself, that its American wages are not enough to get by on. It released a sample budget for employees that suggested paying nothing for heat, getting a second job, and spending just $20 a month on health care. While it claims to be an above minimum wage employer in the U.S., its average wages are mere cents more.

The inability to get by on its low wages has sparked pushback from workers across the country, with fast food workers striking in nine different cities.
They are calling for a $15 minimum wage, the same as Australia’s, which
is higher than President Obama’s $9 an hour proposal and Congressional
    Democrats’ of $10.10 an hour.

Remember that many countries have very, very long memories.

The U.S. is only 237 years old. Some of these regions and nations, and their peoples, go back thousands of years. We don’t get it, because we’re too young to understand.

Germany and central Europe have always had a quest of world domination. The Holy Roman Empire is a great example. Hitler’s Third Reich was just the most recent and awful example. Ever wonder what happened to the First and Second Reichs? Me too.

The winner of the long time grudge award has to go to the Palestinians/Arabs though. One thing you need to understand about the Middle East: The Palestinians do not want peace with the Jews They want the Jews DEAD. Every time the Israelis give up land for “peace”, the Palestinians get closer to their ultimate goal. They will never let go of their dream of a united Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capital. Never. Many Israelis understand that. Obama, of course, does not.

Okay, that’s my political stuff for today! I’m off to listen to more Beatles songs. (You do know “Norwegian Wood” is about an affair John Lennon had, right? “She showed me her room… Isn’t it good… KNOWING SHE WOULD…”)

To Michael Snyder at The American Collapse

Michael, I want to make you aware of what happened to me after commenting on one of your articles.

The following day I received an email from “Disqus” which I opened. There were 235 comments from people on “foxnewslieseveryday.com. The comments were directed to me : Louise in MO. They were from far left loons, and they were accusatory, demeaning, angry, malicious etc. I read about 20 to get a general idea of what they were about.

Since they made reference to more than one of my comments, it was evident that they had been reading more than one post.

Has this happened to anyone else? Your thoughts?

    • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

That has not happened to me, but I would be very interested to hear if it is happening to anyone else.

And I think many of you would be absolutely shocked to find out how many people read these comments. When you write something here, it touches A LOT of people.

As for Disqus, one way to keep from getting those emails is to adjust your settings.

All the great powers will descend into civil war once the global economy collapses.

China- The CCP is only maintaining power through GDP growth. When that stops, the citizens will turn on the CCP and there will be a power grab by generals and politicians.

Russia- Putin had been working double-time to suppress rising Nationalism. Many Russians feel they are losing their country to rampant immigration and a growing Muslim presence. A Nationalist uprising is almost guaranteed.

USA- When the EBT cards no longer work US cities will explode in riots. Martial law will be declared and gun confiscation will begin. Constitutionalist militias that have been growing in number and strength will start an armed revolution.

EU- Similar welfare riots as the US, but will result in Nationalist uprisings similar to Russia.

    We live in interesting times…

The war-mongering USSA is creating its own enemies all over the world in its rush to protect the (petro)dollar.

So it is no surprise the world is making alliances to turn against it.

End result of the declining US empire will be all-out war as history has shown all declining empires fight harder till the end.

Unfortunately, the sheeple of what could be a great country and superpower in a good sense are too fat, braindead, and ignorant to revolt against the catastrophe that is happening.

A sheeple always get the government and society it deserves. A pity that it will bring down the whole world with it.

With all due respect. Russia is definitely a rival to the US but competition in various spheres should be seen as a good thing. That the US kleptocracy cannot walk and chew gum at the same time is not the fault nor the responsibility of Russia nor China. Funny how Russia shows more respect for its constitution and laws than the US.

Do you know why you have this image of the evil empire? it was not necessary to attack Iraq and Afghanistan that would in the end be stuck there for 12 years, carrying a victim and losing hundreds of billions of dollars. it would be more profitable to invest the money in the country’s development and restoration of cities such as Detroit that was once the pride of the U.S., and a new economic ascent.

  • wally

I don’t know if your article is that true Michael. Yes the Russian economy is doing great as a whole but it is my understanding that there are only two classes in Russia the rich, the ones prospering from this boom and the poor which still live what we would call very poor existences. I don’t want that here. We need a strong middle class, but at the age of 50 I do not think I will ever see that in my lifetime again.

One Sunday morning in June, 1933, God gave seven major continuous visions to His prophet William Branham (Malachi 4:5 + Matthew 17:11 + Revelation 10:7)
Five of the seven continuous visions, have already come to pass.
“The last and seventh vision was wherein I heard a most terrible explosion. As I turned to look I saw nothing but debris, craters, and smoke all over the land of America.”

The thing is, Russia, China, Brazil, Venezuela and Iran have a diplomatic accord to stand together against the NWO clique (US, UK, France, Aus, NZ, Canada and Israel). We can see why, designed financial collapse, sham war on terror, fake wars, Arab Spring, Libya and now Syria. While this article tries to make Russia look like the bad guy. The reality is that its Amerika, Brittan and Israel who are the evil NWO.

Btw, Germany has excellent relations with China and Russia. I think Germany knows where its future lies.

  • Harold Smith

Your 2nd last sentence, absent any kind of qualification, is rather misleading. Russia and China are a “strategic threat” to the “United States” (whatever that exactly is) in the same sense that an armed guard is a “threat” to a bank robber.

If the rogue USraeli Empire wasn’t bent on the destruction of the rule of law, mass murder, and global imperial conquest masquerading as “foreign policy”, there would be no “threat” to the “United States”.

  • John AC Forster

Your # 13 is now very questionable. Russia now has the most advanced military equipment on the planet.
The F22 and F35 fall way short of Russia’s SU-37 and T50 aircraft. The same can be said for the attack helicopters, tanks, missiles, etc. While we have been blowing up dirt in the Middle East, Russia has been rebuilding its military equipment, now far surpassing our own. Looks like a lot of us are going to be returned to dust much sooner than we expected.

I can’t remember them all. Rosh, Gomer, Magog. IIRC, The great wall of China was referred to as the wall of Magog because it was built to keep those marauders out of China.
Also, from Revelations we read where the water is turned bitter (Wormwood).
IIRC, Chernobyl is translated – wormwood. Nuclear contamination I would imagine.

So, if they deserve it they deserve it. They seem to have the only “mainstream” news media, indeed, willing to call Obama what he is. And by the way. The idea of Obama in a confrontation with Putin scares the living daylights out of me. First, I think that Putin would kick is can to hell and back. And second, I am not sure who I would in fact prefer to win.

And of course, Russia is not saddled with quite the absurd, irrational, and indeed, insane race guilt that we see so virulent here in the U.S.A. They can actually act like normal human beings who have not thrown out all common sense in their day to day interactions.

Go figure. Go Putin. Stand down Obama. Please. At least try not to make an enemy out of Russia and get our tails kicked.

We like it or not when the people of a nation stops obeying God and rebels against God by not keeping the basic commandments, the basic moral boundaries establish by natural law, and want to define or justify morality based on their owns turns, that society’s moral fiber starts to erode and it becomes broken which creates problem after problem, just look at how the Roman Empire and all of the great empires have ended,,,,history talks for it self. We have become a selfish, greedy, self centered, arrogant and non-believing society. God Bless as All and give us the strength to persevere and these tough present and future times and that God and His angels guide and protect our dear ones….AMEN

No, I think the US represents the biggest strategic threat to Russia.

Why do you think they’re supporting Assad, along with Iran? As for world domination, Iran, Russia, and China are next, and they know it.

U can build on your house without some government knitt witt knocking on your door. It seemd to me if U mind your own bussiness there, and dont take on a fight with Putin.. No one will bother u. I plan on spending my summers there when I retire.. my mother in law pays $10 a year property tax . taxes are lower there.. there is problems with the russian mafia for bussiness owners.. But putin may deal with them also

This is just not factually correct. The United States exports more oil than it imports. We have the largest natural gas reserves on earth. Our population is increasing and our debt is decreasing. We control all the oceans of the world. Our technology is second to none. Russia would like to build two aircraft carriers, we presently have over a dozen. Russians are dying out because of the low birth rate and high death rate. They are 142 million and we are 300 million.

  • Buzzy

Russia seems to be a rational country that wouldn’t do anything dramatic. They have always been in competition with the leading superpower. Eg France, German, and America. Russia has always been a strong country, the people are resistant and can tolerate hardship. But they will not wage war only when cornered, history states this. Napoleon and Hitler.
