This Is What It Feels Like To Have Your Life Savings Confiscated By The Global Elite - Photo by Hannibal PoenaruWhat would you do if you woke up one day and discovered that the banksters had “legally” stolen about 80 percent of your life savings?  Most people seem to assume that most of the depositors that are getting ripped off in Cyprus are “Russian oligarchs” or “wealthy European tycoons”, but the truth is that they are only just part of the story.  As you will see below, there are small businesses and aging retirees that have been absolutely devastated by the wealth confiscation that has taken place in Cyprus.  Many businesses can no longer meet their payrolls or pay their bills because their funds have been frozen, and many retirees have seen retirement plans that they have been working toward for decades absolutely destroyed in a matter of days.  Sometimes it can be hard to identify with events that are happening on the other side of the globe, but I want you to try to put yourself into their shoes for a few minutes.  How would you feel if something like this happened to you?

For example, just consider the case of one 65-year-old retiree that has had his life savings totally wiped out by the “wealth tax” in Cyprus.  His very sad story was recently featured by the Sydney Morning Herald

”Very bad, very, very bad,” says 65-year-old John Demetriou, rubbing tears from his lined face with thick fingers. ”I lost all my money.”

John now lives in the picturesque fishing village of Liopetri on Cyprus’ south coast. But for 35 years he lived at Bondi Junction and worked days, nights and weekends in Sydney markets selling jewellery and imitation jewellery.

He had left Cyprus in the early 1970s at the height of its war with Turkey, taking his wife and young children to safety in Australia. He built a life from nothing and, gradually, a substantial nest egg. He retired to Cyprus in 2007 with about $1 million, his life savings.

He planned to spend it on his grandchildren – some of whom live in Cyprus – putting them through university and setting them up. There would be medical bills; he has a heart condition. The interest was paying for a comfortable retirement, and trips back to Australia. He also toyed with the idea of buying a boat.

He wanted to leave any big purchases a few years, to be sure this was where he would spend his retirement. There was no hurry. But now it is all gone.

”If I made the decision to stay, I was going to build a house,” John says. ”Unfortunately I didn’t make the decision yet.

”I went to sleep Friday as a rich man. I woke up a poor man.”

You can read the rest of the article right here.

How would you feel if you suddenly lost almost everything that you have been working for your entire life?

And many small and mid-size businesses have been ruined by the bank account confiscation that has taken place in Cyprus.

The following is a bank account statement that was originally posted on a Bitcoin forum that has gone absolutely viral all over the Internet.  One medium size IT business has lost a staggering amount of money because of the “bail-in” that is happening in Cyprus…

Cyprus Bank Account Confiscation

The following is what the poster of this screenshot had to say about what this is going to do to his business…

Over 700k of expropriated money will be used to repay country’s debt. Probably we will get back about 20% of this amount in 6-7 years.

I’m not Russian oligarch, but just European medium size IT business. Thousands of other companies around Cyprus have the same situation.

The business is definitely ruined, all Cypriot workers to be fired.
We are moving to small Caribbean country where authorities have more respect to people’s assets. Also we are thinking about using Bitcoin to pay wages and for payments between our partners.

With each passing day, things just continue to get worse for those with deposits of over 100,000 euros in Cyprus.  A few hours ago, a Reuters story entitled “Big depositors in Cyprus to lose far more than feared” declared that the initial estimates of the losses by big depositors in Cyprus were much too low.

And of course the truth is that those that have had their deposits frozen will be very fortunate to ever see any of that money ever again.

But just a few weeks ago, the Central Bank of Cyprus was swearing that nothing like this could ever possibly happen.  Just check out the following memo from the Central Bank of Cyprus dated “11 February 2013” that was recently posted on Zero Hedge

Central Bank of Cyprus Memo

Sadly, the truth is that the politicians will lie to you all the way up until the very day that they confiscate your money.

You can believe our “leaders” when they swear that nothing like this will ever happen in the United States, in Canada or in other European nations if you want.

But I don’t believe them.

In fact, as an outstanding article by Ellen Brown recently detailed, the concept of a “bail-in” for “systemically important financial institutions” has been in the works for a long time…

Confiscating the customer deposits in Cyprus banks, it seems, was not a one-off, desperate idea of a few Eurozone “troika” officials scrambling to salvage their balance sheets. A joint paper by the US Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Bank of England dated December 10, 2012, shows that these plans have been long in the making; that they originated with the G20 Financial Stability Board in Basel, Switzerland (discussed earlier here); and that the result will be to deliver clear title to the banks of depositor funds.

If you do not believe that what just happened in Cyprus could happen in the United States, you need to read the rest of her article.  The following is an extended excerpt from that article

Although few depositors realize it, legally the bank owns the depositor’s funds as soon as they are put in the bank. Our money becomes the bank’s, and we become unsecured creditors holding IOUs or promises to pay. (See here and here.) But until now the bank has been obligated to pay the money back on demand in the form of cash. Under the FDIC-BOE plan, our IOUs will be converted into “bank equity.”  The bank will get the money and we will get stock in the bank. With any luck we may be able to sell the stock to someone else, but when and at what price? Most people keep a deposit account so they can have ready cash to pay the bills.

The 15-page FDIC-BOE document is called “Resolving Globally Active, Systemically Important, Financial Institutions.”  It begins by explaining that the 2008 banking crisis has made it clear that some other way besides taxpayer bailouts is needed to maintain “financial stability.” Evidently anticipating that the next financial collapse will be on a grander scale than either the taxpayers or Congress is willing to underwrite, the authors state:

An efficient path for returning the sound operations of the G-SIFI to the private sector would be provided by exchanging or converting a sufficient amount of the unsecured debt from the original creditors of the failed company [meaning the depositors] into equity [or stock]. In the U.S., the new equity would become capital in one or more newly formed operating entities. In the U.K., the same approach could be used, or the equity could be used to recapitalize the failing financial company itself—thus, the highest layer of surviving bailed-in creditors would become the owners of the resolved firm. In either country, the new equity holders would take on the corresponding risk of being shareholders in a financial institution.

No exception is indicated for “insured deposits” in the U.S., meaning those under $250,000, the deposits we thought were protected by FDIC insurance. This can hardly be an oversight, since it is the FDIC that is issuing the directive. The FDIC is an insurance company funded by premiums paid by private banks.  The directive is called a “resolution process,” defined elsewhere as a plan that “would be triggered in the event of the failure of an insurer . . . .” The only  mention of “insured deposits” is in connection with existing UK legislation, which the FDIC-BOE directive goes on to say is inadequate, implying that it needs to be modified or overridden.

You can find the rest of her excellent article right here.  I would encourage everyone to especially pay attention to what she has to say about derivatives.

Sadly, what is happening in Cyprus right now is just the continuation of a trend.  In recent years, governments all over the world have turned to the confiscation of private wealth in order to solve their financial problems.  The following examples are from a recent article posted on Deviant Investor

October 2008 – Argentina’s leftist government, facing a gigantic revenue shortfall, proposes to nationalize all private pensions so as to meet national debt payments and avoid its second default in the decade.

November 2010 – Headline – Hungary Gives Its Citizens an Ultimatum: Move Your Private Pension Fund Assets to the State or Permanently Lose Your Pension – This is an effective nationalization of all pensions.

November 2010 – Ireland elects to appropriate ten billion euros from its National Pension Reserve Fund to help fund an eighty-five billion euro rescue package for its besieged banks. Ireland also moves to consider a regulatory move that compels some private Irish pension funds to hold more Irish government debt, thereby providing the state with a captive investor base but hugely raising the risk for savers.

December 2010 – France agrees to transfer twenty billion euros worth of assets belonging to its Fonds de Reserve pour les Retraites (FRR), the funded portion of its retirement system, to help pay off recurring social benefits costs. No pensioners are consulted.

April 2012 – Argentina announces that its Economy Ministry has taken an emergency loan from the national pension fund in the amount of $4.3 billion. No pensioners were consulted.

June 2012 – Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner unilaterally appropriates $45 billion from US federal pension funds to help tide over US deficits for the remainder of fiscal year 2011.

January 2013 – Treasury Secretary Geithner again announces that the government has begun borrowing from the federal employees pension fund to keep operating without passing the approaching “fiscal cliff” debt limit. The move effectively creates $156 billion in borrowing authority from federal pension funds.

March 2013 – Open Bank Resolution finance minister, Bill English, is proposing a Cyprus style solution for potential New Zealand bank failures. The reserve bank is in the final stages of establishing a rescue scheme which will put all bank depositors on the hook for bailing out their banks. Depositors will overnight have their savings shaved by the amount needed to keep distressed banks afloat.

Can you see the pattern?

As I wrote about the other day, no bank account, no pension fund, no retirement account and no stock portfolio will be able to be considered 100% safe ever again.

And once the global derivatives casino melts down, there are going to be a lot of major banks that are going to need to be “bailed in”.

When that day arrives, they are going to try to come after your money.

So don’t leave your entire life savings sitting in a single bank – especially not one of the banks that has a tremendous amount of exposure to derivatives.

Hopefully we can get more people to wake up and realize what is happening.  We are moving into a time of great financial instability, and what worked in the past is not going to work in the future.

Be smart and get prepared while you still can.

Time is running out.

Michael, excellent find. Notice how similar the wording is to the Canadian plan? Systemically Important, sound familiar? If you have money in the big banks, get it out. At least for now, credit unions and small local banks are at least safer. I would not be surprised if most Countries, do not have similar wording. Also be aware many of the larger regional banks, also could qualify under the wording systemically important.

  • Mondobeyondo

It may take you 30-40 years to build up enough wealth to live comfortably. You do the 9 to 5 gig (overtime if necessary), and you save your money for retirement, or a “rainy day”.

It takes a few keystrokes from a banker in an air conditioned glass tower, to take it all away from you.

Is that fair? Of course it isn’t fair. But then, not much in this life is actually fair anymore.

“But – I worked hard for that money!!” Yes, I know. [Cue up the Donna Summer 1980’s hit song “She Works Hard for the Money”.] Hey, what can I say? I hope some of you will get to retire someday. Me – I’m trying to find work so I can earn something to retire on someday.

    One more pop song quote:
“I’ll be working here forever, or at least until I die.
    Working… working….
It’s all taking and no giving, ’cause I’m working for a living”

    – Huey Lewis and the News

    • K

Mondo, I see your Huey Lewis. And raise the new workers theme song. Tennessee Ernie Ford, singing 16 tons.

      • Mondobeyondo

That’s a good song as well.

Working without receiving wages, makes you a slave.

Working and receiving sweatshop wages, or minimum wage, makes you a paid slave.

America is slowly heading towards a slave labor system, from my view. No longer the land of opportunity, but the land of survival, like so many other third world countries.* You have the education (and the parchment paper degree to prove it). You have the experience, and the knowledge in your particular field of study or expertise. And yet, the best you can do is a burger flipper job at McDonald’s? This is not the America I grew up in.

        * – this is strictly Mondo’s personal opinion, which may or may not be true.

(p.s. Burger King is hiring! Yaaaayy!!)

        • K

Not just your opinion Mondo. I see it the same way.

          • Toulouse

Yeah, and the greatest trick of all, is so-called “conservatives” are the cheerleaders of this system. The more people are impoverished and sucked into the hands of a rapacious elite, the more they trumpet economic liberalism. Because they would rather sit around dreaming of being Bill Gates, than to see where this greed is going — that it stands to impoverish everyone except a handful, who will then have complete control over the rest, and can use us for slave labor, put us in debtor’s prisons, anything they like.

By the way, I am not a left-winger, but have the Catholic view of economics. And it is departing from this view that has led to the ruination you see around us.

          • Graham

By the way, I am not a left-winger, but have the Catholic view of economics. And it is departing from this view that has led to the ruination you see around us.

Are you having a laugh? You certainly come across as another brainwashed clown. The Vatican is one of the most corrupt institutions on the planet. They take a nice backhander from their flock too. Where does that money go? Expanding their empire via war and crusades?

For the billions (and the rest) they have swindled from their flock, how much have they handed back to those followers when in desperate need? Literally F-All. The Mormons are up to the same crap as well.

The Vatican are the holders of enormous swathes of land and property globally, all purchased through well hidden third party and shell company’s.

All in the name of GOD. Shame what they have done to God’s people over the centuries. Keep your little boys well clear as Satan has polluted the mindset within. Perhaps you are in denial of this fact too?

Who else worships Lucifer, aside from 32nd Degree Freemasons and well beyond? The truth is often hidden in plain sight. Wake up!

          • arizonadiane

Also, if you have read the many other articles from Michael, this current Pope could turn out to be the antichrist…… if all the old predictions are correct.

          • Graham

The term “Christ” refers to a state of consciousness, as in “Christ Consciousness”. It is referred to by other names pending on the text being read.

It is therefore fair to assume that the term “AntiChrist” is a mindset that hasn’t reached “Christ Consciousness”, more than likely through promoting the exact opposite.

The things that are associated with the opposite are what most people consider today to be “normal” behaviour. That’s how corrupt the mind has become.

“Christ Consciousness” is the Divine spirit. Being connected with the “One”. It is also described as “Unity Consciousness”.

Very little on this planet will change until people understand what consciousness is and how to “reconnect” with it and let it function unabated from ego.

Whilst consciousness can become aware of the ego, the ego can never become aware of consciousness.

Learn meditation and you will likely come to realise this very quickly. Think of it this way. The surface of the ocean can be very turbulent. Compare the ocean to the human mind (cerebral functioning).

Dive down to the seabed and you will notice how much calmer everything is, until at the bottom, everything appears “still”. What happens when you use meditation as a tool to get beyond the surface of the mind?

            Psalm 46, Verse 10
Be still, and know that I am God.

Consider what conscious awareness is. What is the “Soul”? If everything in existence has a frequency, then why are the vast majority of humans so “out of tune” with their true essence and “vibration”?

Some get it, most don’t. The answers lie within, not beyond. Start a process of “inquiry” and many things will fall into place. “Enquiry” relies on an external source.

Most external things are part of the illusion (Matrix), hence the reason most remain confused, or await their “saviour”. We are actually awaiting for the return of “ourselves” (trues essence, full consciousness), nobody or nothing else.

Now you see where religions have created enormous problems and in the process, enslaved billions and killed millions.

Peace is not war, as war is based on ego. Ego is not peace, as peace is not highly destructive. Clowns in governments have you believe that they must “attack others” in order to create peace.

They speak from the “asylum” of insanity and madness and the “superior minded” (ego driven) population goes along with it every time..

The ego functions on separation, isolation and is completely disconnected from “source” energy. Consciousness is the exact opposite. Those who want peace, know exactly what to do.

The square root of 1% reaching “Christ Consciousness”, is enough to change the “collective consciousness” of the planet. That number has not been reached yet. Others know this concept as the “Hundredth Monkey Effect”.

          • Kevin

As in I believe in stupid stuff

          • Graham

You are obviously unaware that “intelligence” goes far beyond the function of human “intellect”. Not that your comment contains any rational insight. A perfect example of how the ego functions in my opinion.

There is a plethora of scientific research dating back to the 70’s that will get you started if you want to take up the challenge of tackling the meaning of “stupid” head on.

You always have the option of course of proving how and why what I have stated is based upon “stupid stuff”.

        • Graham

Why do you think this has happened in the USA?

Who do you think is behind the clearly unfolding plan?

What is there ultimate objective and why?

          • Mondobeyondo

Numerous reasons. An “entitlement” society, a hollowed out economy hardly any non-manufacturing jobs, and too many self service jobs),.. there are many others.

The ultimate objective is to break the economic backbone of the U.S, and through that, collapse our country, Our economic backbone WAS built on manufacturing products. Cars, steel, airplanes, and so forth. That’s how our middle class grew and progressed. It doesn’t work that way anymore.

The construction Ponzi scheme worked until the mid-2000’s. Then that fell apart. You can’t just keep building new houses when there’s already a glut of houses available, which no one wants/is unable to buy. Hello, real estate crash!

        • 2Gary2

          Even slaves had jobs…

    • Jodi

I think ‘I’ll be working here forever’ is a common theme for most people. I’m pretty confident I’m going to have to work til I’m dead.

      • DownWithLibs

The only question for all of us is “how long will I live?” Between SHTF and Obamacare, it will be very interesting to see.

    • Ralfine

Just quit your job and live in luxury from all those entitlements – hummer every day.

  • Ayn Rand

Expecting collapse any day now… pretty scary thoughts when your holding your nine month old baby brother…

    • K

The only real option you have, is to leave if the violence starts. Does no one in your family live in a rural location? Even distant relatives, or old friends?

    • ian

your nine month old baby brother will be fully grown by time anything resembling a collapse happens. So chill.

  • The assets stolen (not “confiscated”) are finite. Thus they *will* be burned through in a finite time, likely quite short. And what then when they are all consumed and there is nothing left to steal?

    • Good question, Tatiana! What do they steal when there is nothing left?

      • Then they start wars and the police state is finalized!

      • K

Since you both asked, forced labor. You will be forced to work, in exchange for food.

        • Jodi

          Agenda 21. Enough said!

            Please, don’t remind me!

Not if your Leader is the GOOD,GREAT AND POWERFUL ALMIGHTY GOD…

          the end…

          • K

Really, I am a Christian, and do not think that way at all. I read in the Bible of God’s’ people being servants ,being taken into bondage, and thrown in prison. History says the were killed by wild animals, in the Coliseum. While we are on this Earth and alive. The only promise I have seen. Is Jesus said, through it all He would always be with us. That is enough for me.

          • Kevin

Reading the bible….you are just lucky to read at all….This is all created by humans

          • markthetruth

Servants are free but bound to obey him; and, as he had made it their duty to obey the civil magistrate, they served God by submitting to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake.
and free from sin and Satan, only those who betrayed him and did onto others bondage or killing were subject to punishment.

            the end

      • German

What do they steal when there is nothing left? ” Arbeitsdienst ” . forced labor. And then start a war …

    • Perpetual inflation a.k.a Hyper Inflation
The printing press will reach ludicrous speed until she runs out of oil and suddenly seizes solid…
When that happens, say goodbye to the gov, and hello to anarchy. The gov will be like a “fly-by-night” company and cease to exist…. Nevermind the crazies that say there will be a police state. There may be for a brief moment in time but will end… Think of it this way: Would you work for FREE? Thats what the so called security of the police state will be asked to do when the money runs out… not gonna happen… 90% will abandon their posts, and the rest will be die-hards after protecting high value targets like the president for example… And then… The great reset will happen… Chaos for a while, people dieing off by the hundreds of thousands for a while…. Maybe war… it’s hard to wage war with no money… or soldiers that will war for free(the crazies are wrong again!) Eventually .. whomever is strong enough to unite a force to take over the place will come on top and the cycle of life starts all over again….

      • K

When the money runs out, most of the police will go nowhere. Their families will be held hostage. Also they will be working in exchange for food. When the USSR collapsed, most of the soldiers did not leave their post. They stayed, to keep a roof over their families head, and food in their stomach. Remember the Government has been stockpiling food far longer, than they have been stockpiling ammo.

        • They will go nowhere at first, of course. They will be convinced to stick around for a while by the “handlers” till even that falls apart.

        • Woody Johnson

Wrong. Look at how many cops remained after Katrina. Or when war broke out in the Balkans. And who is going to hold them hostage? The cops are the hostage takers.

          • K

Katrina, really. Of course they left for Katrina. It was in the best interest of their families to go. Once out of the area, everything was better. Power, food, shelter all waiting for them if they left. When it goes down the drain, there will be no better place, for most of them to run to. Food weapons and ammo, will be available from their federalized departments. All that will be available if they run, is a very short lifespan. Try a different example.Check what happened to French cops during WWII. If they worked for the Germans, anytime at all. If they ran, and made it to the countryside. They were killed as traitors.

      • jaxon64

        ludicrous speed…too funny…very good

        • Toulouse

Jack is right… The police will be outnumbered badly by enraged starving people with lots of guns, and that will fully outweigh any incentive they may have to continue relying on the government’s crumbs.

You will find many more policemen and soldiers who get in their civvies and deny ever having been policemen, than you will find policemen and soldiers who fire on the populace.

      • jaxon64

a second reply Jack. I agree with much of what you say but I believe that you overlook one major factor in a potential police state.
People may not be willing to work for free however there actually would be HUGE incentives for the police and military to remain at their posts and even fire upon unruly citizens.
If they are not being paid with money into a bank account they will be paid in other ways. While the masses are scrambling for food, gas and even security for family and loved ones– the incentive to police would be made easier if the govt is providing food to officers and their families, a govt vehicle with gas and allowing for the security a person has when the police can carry weapons that the masses aren’t allowed to.
When their kids are crying with hunger, fear or cold and the govt offers them food, quarters and safety–well I believe that these people ( military, police, alphabet govt agents) will willingly stand guard to quell the civil unrest–even if it means firing upon our kids, wives and ourselves.

        • Agree with “food for work”.
But, it’s still only temporary… the food will eventually run out. Especially in a broken, unproductive country. This is the part where I said hundreds of thousands(or more) will die off. I don’t think the military or government has much food saved up. I used to be in the military… things are not as well as believed they are… and that is from 5 years ago, I’m assumeing that at this point it is even more worse than before. This leads me to believe that local police have even less, or anything stored, as military is > local police. This is why I said most will leave, but the hardcore ones will stick around for a while.

          • K

Jack, now I understand. You would not have been aware inside the military. It was the civilian side that has been stockpiling the food. Do you know what helped feed the 2012 the earth is ending nonsense. In 2010 and again in 2011 for 6 month time periods, each year. The Government bought up the entire output of Mountain House number 10 cans, of freeze dried food.Do you know what started the rumor that the new madrid faultline was going active.Large buys by FEMA of MREs. To be shipped to warehouses, in the general area of the faultline. Contracts, that added up over the course of a year. To slightly over 3 million meals. This is just the stuff I know about. I also know during juniors administration, they pinned the Medal of Freedom on the President of Mountain House foods. Based on this I believe, they could hold together a large civilian/military security force for about 3 years. Long enough for their purposes. Your service is appreciated Sir.

          • Woody Johnson

            3 years? Three months, maybe.

          • K

You prepare for the police and the feds and the military. To only be a problem for 3 months. I have prepared for the problem to last 3 years. We will see soon enough who is right.

          • jaxon64

            good points

        • Bruce

Rest assured the police and military will go home to protect their own. We as the citizenry out number them 1-1,000 (or so). Yes, many of us will die but sooner or later ANY law enforcement or military answering a call will be essentially on a suicide mission.

          • DownWithLibs

I’ve long held this view (your first sentence). For all of the Hollywood jerks that don’t believe in guns but live in armed/gated communities, there is no way the guards will stick around and protect them when the SHTF. No, no. They will be more concerned about them and theirs, not the Rosie O’donnel’s of the world.

      • Kevin

85-100 million barrels a day…The price of gas is to high…and I mean when we run out

    • then they make sure you have no food or water.

They can do so, because you give them your money.

          • I see

What god are you referring to? Lots of popular ones to choose from…The god you believe in is simply the result of the culture your born into. Perhaps there is a creator, but its not written down in any earthy book. “I
contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than
you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods,
you will understand why I dismiss yours.” You god people are the majority, and the real reason we are slaves and living in a primitive civilization. Snap out of it.

Don’t think the U.S. government isn’t seriously considering confiscating your retirement account(s).

Of course they are. You know they are. The government is broke. Your retirement fund is bursting your wallet. Uncle Sammy loves you.

They aren’t going to just come out and say it like that. They’ll use an excuse. Twist the old WWII war bonds slogans around. “It’s your patriotic duty to fund the military”, blah blah.

Hope and pray that it doesn’t get that far. For if it does – what’s to prevent Washington to print colored posters and placards, featuring WWII-era soldiers “defending the homeland” (you know, Homeland Security!) – from “evil and foreign invaders”? Obama would issue a decree saying something along the lines of, “Your 401(k) ensures freedom for citizens in Kurgistan!” Ah yes, yes it does…

  • saintmatty

It is sad to see and hear about people suffering. The suffering should remind us that the things of this world are not secure. They are not supposed to be for sure and counted on. Our security comes from knowing that a Loving God has a plan that is much bigger and greater than our plans. Heaven is full of riches. Have you ever read the book of Revelations describing Heaven? Streets are like pure gold. The walls are made with layered precious and semi-precious stones. The gates are carver from a single pearl. There are also numerous scriptures that speak prosperity that God’s people will experience during their life times. God cares about the suffering of His people on earth, but we will be dead longer than we will be alive. Think about that….

    • haarp

And meanwhile we should take it up the a*** because we’ll get our reward in heaven if we’re all good little boys and girls and allow our betters to rape us? What a load of crap! Get up and fight!

      • Graham

Interesting nick… ever looked up the patents for it? The majority don’t realise its a very advanced “Tesla based weapon”.

    • lifeofliberty

You are unbelievably deluded. Those words were written by an ignorant man selling a false narrative several thousand years ago. No more true today then then were then. Do some research. The Bible is a false narrative and contains over 30,000 known errors, discrepancies and contradictions. Definitely not the “plan” to base your life upon. The Heaven that awaits you is the one you make, not one that will magically appear from the ether. The God you embrace does not exist – this is why there is suffering, because people like you believe in fairy tales and await God to solve your problems – which never happens. Grow up.

      • Graham

And it all it takes is an understanding of the process of meditation to realise God’s “Kingdom” lies within. It is a self referral mechanism built into the nervous system.

Whilst the nervous system is a manifested extension of consciousness, consciousness itself is the experience of unmanifested bliss. Words cannot describe it (see below).

        Psalm 46 Verse 10:-
Be still, and know that I am God.

Bring your mind to a restful state of alertness through the process of meditation and fully experience “consciousness” (God). Those who have practiced the art of meditation are under no illusion as to what “God” is. Omnipresent. Quantum physics now understands this.

The bible actually spells out what the experiences are in so many different ways, but words are completely inadequate. The scriptures have also been seriously corrupted in order to disempower the people. That is why this planet is in the mess it is in. Divide and conquer rules the roost, which creates duality in the mind.

Meditation also transcends the ego. Takes many years to eradicate it. Where there is peace, there is harmony. Your natural state, which has become totally corrupted by everything around you, through duality. Humans need to remember who they are and discover their own infinite power rather than listen to the corrupt who steal it from you. Do not consent!

To fully understand what the ego is, read “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle. It’s a good starting place.

        • ian

you are spot on. I meditate daily and it has helped calm me down and realize that all is well.

          • Graham

            Glad to hear it!

Meditation brings about full brain coherence. Live fMRI scanning proves it for those who have any doubts.

Biofeedback analysis also proves the huge health advantages that meditation brings about. It’s just the tip of the iceberg. See its results in education and IQ (etc) too.

Through prolonged practice, you also gain access to the immense amount of power that is spoken about in many ancient texts.

Your intuition also becomes laser sharp. However, in the early stages it can be a struggle dealing with the constant bombardment of propaganda that you will clearly observe all around you every minute of the day.

Eventually, the experience of “stillness” and “calmness” remains undisturbed in the third state of consciousness (Waking State/Beta). Have you experienced the “golden light and energy flow” rising through your crown yet?

There are two “kingdoms” running in parallel right now. One is internally driven, the other externally driven. The external one is based on authoritarian agendas, to which we are all expected to be willing slaves.

Which one contains all the mindless war, drama, greed, suffering and pain (etc)? The “saviour” within has to be the solution. The truth however is often lost in antiquity.

      • Mario

I’m sorry you think that way….but it still doesn’t change the fact that there is a creator and that creator loved us that he sent His son Jesus to die for you.
        He is coming back soon.

        • Graham

Mario, I must be thinking in a similar way, but no need to feel sorry for me. Perhaps you can answer the following questions.

Have many preachers not “died” doing exactly what Jesus did? If this is so, how many is “he” sending?

Was Jesus not killed? Killed for what he believed in and attempted to impart to others (Christ Consciousness)?

Jesus was a Jew, yet the Jews are still awaiting for the appearance of their “Messiah”. Is this returning Jesus their Messiah?

How “soon” is he coming back? Is it a “reincarnation”, or a different person sharing the same name?

How will he be arriving? Will it be another virgin birth? Who were the sons of God who came into the daughters of man (that bore children to them)?

Who were the Nephilim? Where did they come from? How did they get to earth? What are the bloodlines of the resulting hybrids?

Easter —> Ishtar. So many words align with known Egyption names (Gods). Why is that? Amen (Ra). Test-amen-t. Is this all coincidence?

Why was Christianity and Sol Invictus merged by the powers in Rome? Can you also explain why at “Christmas”, we have “Santa”, nordic type trees, elves and reindeer?

Seems a bit of an absurd concoction, especially with Jesus coming from the Middle East. There also seems to be a “date” issue. Several European countries don’t celebrate “Christmas” until January. Why is this?

Looking forward to being educated in your beliefs.

    • Graham

Nonsensical propaganda designed to strip you of your own power. Proven, but rarely preached. Thy shall be done on earth as is done in heaven. When and how do you intend beginning? Discover thy kingdom first! It’s within.

Certain “churches” are corrupt to the core. They exist in body (social and money taking centres) but have lost their spirit. Choose any denomination you wish, or in some cases “demonation”.

You want the truth? You have just been given it. Now research and find out why. Meditation is the proven key and was practiced long before Christianity came about.

Learn it if you want to experience your natural state. You will be astounded once you fine tune the process. Lost souls follow Lucifer, nobody else. Research that too, then take a closer look around you. What do you see? The symbolism is everywhere, even on the $1 bill.

      • ian

        • Graham

The word “amen” actually comes from “Amen Ra”. There are various transations of it, but take a very close look at the “artefacts” around the Vatican and the British Monarchy (etc). Note how many things are directly connected with Egypt. It is so “in your face” when everything is pointed out.

Also note the huge “pine cone” at the Vatican. It denotes the “Pineal Gland”, which is our “spiritual centre” in the brain. Note also what man made chemicals do to the pineal gland. Fluoride being the best example. It calcifies it.

Now is the time to get your money out of the banks (unless you will be heartbroken about that 0.01% interest your earning on your savings) and out of your 401K.

The evil men and women running this circus need to all be held accountable for their actions.

    • Toulouse

I must say, what is happening in Cyprus is terrible, and likely to happen elsewhere, however — the story about the guy losing all his money doesn’t make sense. He lost a certain percentage…

So far, I would rather lose 10% of my money than have to have it under my mattress and worry about making myself a target. And unfortunately the banksters know most people will think that way.

  • Mondobeyondo

Waaaay down close to the end of the article, lies a major key to why so many Americans will be victims of this financial bear trap:

“We are moving into a time of great financial instability, and what worked in the past is not going to work in the future.

Be smart and get prepared while you still can.”

    a.k.a. “normalcy bias”

We expect things to work the same way they did 20 years ago. The same way they worked in 1980, and in 1949, etc. Well, in case you haven’t noticed, the world has changed since then.

So many people have this mindset, like “as things were, so shall they always be”. NO!!! I’m guilty of this. Many of us in Generation X are guilty of this. It’s a very hard habit to break. We expected Social Security, Medicare, etc. to be there for us. Yes, we actually believed that! How stupid we were! Yeah, and we thought girls in 2010 would still have perms and big hair. Well… didn’t quite happen that way (whew!!)

I was born in 1965, and I don’t know how to use an iPhone. (Can’t afford a smartphone…) Does that make me ignorant? Nah. I probably know more about Shakespeare than you do. Even if you search for details using the crappo Cliff’s Notes imitations found on Wikipedia.

    Happy Easter, everyone!

So after all value has been extracted from everything with the help of the banks, they will load people with worthless shares and bonds in insolvable banks and lock them into another illusion.
How far it can go before the sheople wake up to realize that the whole system is designed to extract resources and energy and funnel them to the top of the pyramid while everybody else is left with the junk?
It appears for me that it can go very far and too late for the majority, as people of Cyprus just experienced.
If we ignore a problem that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist or is not going to affect us.
Sooner or later we all have the Cyprus experience if we still ignore the mass looting that is going on.

  • Marc

Why is the money not safe in a stock deposit? Was there ever in history thats stocks get confiscated?

    • yes. During the financial crisis, the US government (indirectly) confiscated AIG stock so that foreign banks could be bailed out.

    • DiscouragedOne

The fact of the matter is they can confiscate anything they want…anytime they want.

    • Mondobeyondo

Umm, can’t think of an example offhand.
But FDR did confiscate (or attempt to confiscate) all privately held gold in 1933.
Probably would be much easier to confiscate stocks in 2013. It would only take a few keystrokes.

  • RWBenjamin

What life savings? I do not know anyone that has much of any savings. I am 53 and live on under $1k a month, gross income, some months much less. I worked 30+ years at a Hospital as a janitor, working very hard cleaning nasty messes and stripping and waxing floors for most of my life. My job was terminated and my little pension also…. I have no pension coming, no savings, and I do not know family members or close friends that have a savings, etc., they live check to check….

    • DiscouragedOne

I don’t have much either, and what little I have I want to protect, but exactly how do we do that? Nothing is safe anymore, not even gold. Why doesn’t the media report stories like yours? They are bought and sold by the elites, they have no care for what happens to the rest of us.

  • We now see how despearte the world bankers are to rob bank accounts. This shows how bad off they are and how easily this can happen in America.

As close as Obama and corrupt politicians are to Wall St. & bankers we have no one protecting us if this happens to us.

A TIME TO STAND by Oliver is a must read novel cause it’s about Americans taking a stand against this tyranny. It’s provocative so I recommend it. It’s time we all defend our property and live free.

Where are the good people? Where are the one’s who will stand against this evil? I don’t see them anywhere. How sad to see these people in despair. They are truly heartbroken.

    • DiscouragedOne

What can they actually do about it? I am afraid the lesson here (for anybody who is paying attention which is not the majority of Americans) is don’t trust banks and definitely don’t trust the government! If they start their business over, they will probably go elsewhere to do it like the guy with the IT business, but do you want to bet he won’t start keeping 50% of his profits under his mattress? Once burned, twice shy.

    • Graham

Good people are all around you, they are just “lost” within themselves and continually look to the outside for answers.

They will remain in a state of confusion as they begin to question all the contradictions. The Matrix is designed this way to keep people disempowered. It relies on conditioned thinking and those waiting to be led. Most are divided but don’t realise it. It’s called duality.

Who powers the Matrix? People do. Cut off the head of the snake and things will begin to change. Too many are charmed by its venom, so things are just getting worse. Those in the USA particularly, were taken to the extreme by consumerism. They are also dumbed down more via chemicals in the food and drink supply.

The one’s who will stand up to this evil are all around you too, they just feel “helpless” as they don’t understand the system that is devouring them. They spend most of their energy trying to protect material things. Things that are not “them”, but they “own”, or have “earned”. This is the ego at play. It fears “loss”. Learn how it works then take conscious control over it.

You are not what you “own”, you are something far greater and more powerful. Why has this knowledge been denied to the masses? Who is responsible? Waking up can initially be a very painful process. Stay in your heart, not your mind. The latter is where the ego is seated. Learn to ignore it.

When you go to see a movie, you are looking at a screen for several hours. What you see is a projection. The mind is no different. See beyond the projection and everything will become clearer. You need to reprogram your mind to do this. One step at a time.

Learn how to retake your sovereignty, for that is what has been suppressed. Things have already been done to make this process easy for you. Find out what they are. Just remember… no institution can legally take away your “God given rights”, as long as you abide by Common Law. Find out how the law works and why!

Somebody will read this and “click”, others will think it’s nonsense. That’s fine. They just aren’t awake enough… yet. Search for material written by those who have experienced a traumatic event, perhaps lost everything. They have something very important to teach and you will notice an incredible calmness about them.

The ego is behind every problem you see. It is out of control. It is also an illusion of the mind. Transcend it, and find out how to live beyond what it covets. Someday you will laugh in disbelief. Then you will notice those around you who are still fully attached to the Matrix.

The happiest people in the world are those who have “nothing”. Think about it. Those who have everything want even more. Their ego is never satisfied! There is no boundary, as you can see by what’s going on. The ego always feels threatened. Watch it in action.

Research the CEO’s (etc) who were taken to Africa to do voluntary work. Their reports are astounding and many changed how their businesses functioned thereafter. What did they come to realise? Being human is recognising what connects us all. That is the connection that is missing in today’s world, due mainly to greed.

There is enough to go round everybody, but the ego is only concerned with itself. It is completely disconnected from nature and everything around it. Esoteric knowledge holds many answers. Just be careful of the path you end up on.

You don’t have to “die” to see the “light”. Just kill off the ego as it wallows in darkness. Reality only begins where illusion ends! Thy shall be done on earth as is done in heaven… when enough people realise it.

Change comes from within, nowhere else! Any change you think you see is just more illusion. Obama has proven that hands down. All the chosen puppets answer to the same masters. The masters purposely remain out of sight, or at a great distance.

There time will be up when people stop empowering them, as that just leads to them disempowering you. Many lives will be lost in this process, but that is the price of liberty. Lawful rebellion is expected, and the rest.

    • Mondobeyondo

I have worked my butt off to get my small business working and big enough to keep me alive. See that taken away through banksters, even though I have no debts at all, will make a peaceful man very very angry. The question is, what else will I have left to loose ?

    • DiscouragedOne

Just like Gerald Celente has been saying for years; when they’ve taken everything, and people have nothing left to lose, that’s when people are going to lose it. • DiscouragedOne

And when they get to the level of money YOU have, will you STILL say that? What does this tell people? DON’T start businesses, don’t put money in banks…all things that will hurt YOU and EVERY one of us you dolt!

    • Reason sheeple don’t have anything saved is they spend everything they get their dick-beaters on… 😛

    • jaxon64

you are an ignorant fool. That 700 K was probably keeping 10 to 15 people employed! Operating costs, materials purchasing funds, payroll, rent lights, advertising and of course taxes, taxes taxes…$700,000 is not a rich business–in fact probably is one that is 2 or 3 bad months from going under.
Okay, I’ll explain it nicely. I have a friend who does about a million a year in the home improvement/deck/kitchen business ( or did until this on-going recession). He has 5 or 6 regular guys who work for him on 2 teams or all together if it is a bigger job. He generously pays them all livable salaries of $50 to $60 thousand each–that’s $360K off the top.
One third of all job bids are materials–subtract another $333K.
Although he keeps them working as sub contractors he still pays, liabilty, worker’s comp, bond/insured–thousands more.
Then govt fees: from licenses, permits to the myriad of inspections required at every step of a job for “code” ( is the hole deep enough, concrete thick enough, posts set deep enough, free standing or tied to the house, fire codes..etc etc etc..and of course TAXES, taxes taxes and then some more taxes…
Equipment from power tools to hand tools to special equipment rentals — hiring specialist trades for some aspects of a job like excavators, electricians ( both with more inspections and fees of course)…
I hope you’re starting to get the picture. My friend does not profit even near $200,000 out of his 7-day a week job from his $1,000,000 reportable income.
I know to those who have never worked diligently, were frugal in lifestyle, saved $30 by using basic cable or a cell phone that only makes phone calls, or never have purchased a new car with a loan–to these people who have never done these things $700,000 must seem like a fortune–However for someone who has skimped, sacrificed, done without the “luxeries” of flat screen TV’s, latest I-phones or new shiny cars–a $700,000 bank account accumulated over 30 years of life is the fruit of his labor….he is entitled to keep every last penny of HIS money for HIMSELF if he chooses.

      • Roger Smith

Good explanation. One has to wonder how many entrepreneurs are just sitting on their ideas these days, not seeing the point in trying to bring a new business or process to market in an environment where they will just have their head handed to them. I’ve started a few businesses in the past but I’m just not doing that anymore. These days, it’s just better to coast….save your energy…and hope for a day all the parasites of the world disappear. Then get back in the game.

    • jaxon64

one more thing …Have you any idea how stupid and contradictory your statement is numbskull?
The “them” you are referring to as in ” good, let “them” steal from these….” are the super rich and banksters!!
You are advocating that it is good that the super rich banking cartel and wall streeters steal from the hard working small businesses that toil day after day to build something and have earned the money.
I’d say you are dim but that would be an insult to dumb people….

HERE IS AMERICA IN SCRIPTURE!!Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues. 5For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double to her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled fill to her double.7How much she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she said in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judges her.

sorry, you are confused. Mystery Babylon is a reference to the Catholic church, the one world religion of the false prophet. Even now the cult of catholicism which has absorbed all of the pagan practices of ancient religions and melded them with some parts of true christianity-even now they make inroads and overtures to Islam ( proclaiming that allah and the God of the bible are the same) as well as new age, hindu, spiritism and apostate teachings.

Trust me, America will be a non-factor by the Tribulation period. At best we may be the military arm of the globalists and their ac leader or possibly a non-sovereign country tied to an economic union of countries, but it is very clear that the babylon references in Rev are references to the coming global unity movement or “one world religion” as some refer to it–with the catholic church front and center ushering it in.

So, the bank makes huge bets with MY money. If they win, they pocket obscene profits of which I recieve NOTHING. If however they lose, I must cover their losses with my retirement savings. Then they charge me $35.00 per in overdraft fees after they LOOT MY ACCOUNT. Forget the free checking. Each new account should come with a bottle of lube.

    • Kevin

It’s not your money if you put it in a bank

  • Patriot Alice

Our Government has insured our deposits up to $250k in the USA, not 300k, not 400k, not 500k or more..Cyprus’s Government told depositors up to 100k Euros, not 300k Euros, not 400k Euro or more,,,These Governments have not lied. Anything over the stated insurance is your risk, you must know this to be a fact..

    • DiscouragedOne

But they sent a letter out and said there is no danger, obviously they lied…those people would have taken out their money otherwise.

      • Also, cyprus isn’t giving people access to their 100k euro- there are strict limits to how much can be withdrawn. The cyprus government did lie.

    • Mondobeyondo

Just one question – and this is for everyone:

      How solvent is the FDIC?

      • kfilly

Not very. Try broke just like the rest of the government.

    • jox

Absolutely right. The money not guaranteed is simply not guaranteed. It’s a shame when they take taxpayers money to cover private losses. Everyone will need to make some risk management.

The date on the bank account is June 2013. Not yet folks, not yet!

  • Roger Smith

Try to imagine…..You’re in your late 50’s in Cyprus, you’ve accumulated a modest nest egg over a lifetime of work and it’s in a bank. You’ve always trusted this bank so it’s the one you got your home mortgage through…which you are just a few year away from paying off free and clear. Now this “friendly” bank freezes your accounts, you can’t make your mortgage payment (TO THEM!)…..and

voilà….they’ve now stolen both your bank account deposits AND your home through foreclosure. Nice “one, two” punch, eh?

  • Let it be known there is no such thing as legal theft, Legally stolen, or what ever. theft is theft, stolen is stolen, taken without consent, all means the same.
Those who refer to it as legal, allows, the so called elite banksters thieves, robbers, vagabonds, scoundrels etc, to go unpunished, and they carry on their crimes with inpunity, people of the world cry out for an honest, uncorrupt system to take over the present disgusting, and greedy, totally dishonest world financial mess that politicians, banksters, and the so called elite, and mega rich few have created!

  • Ralfine

If you believe Marx, the “elites” get rich, not by hard, honest work, but by stealing from the WORKING class.

    So, what else is new?

  • Brian

If this happend to me I will rob the bank or take at as a theft cauasualty loss on my tax return at 65 and even at 46 curently present I have nothing to losse but I will crate havoc on wall street and it will be a sad day you still from me I still from you if you take a dollar from me I take a mil from you I have nothing to loose

  • ddearborn

But the really big depositors those with amounts over about 50 Million had weeks if not months of advanced warning of the impending “tax”. If you look at the ouflows of cash from Cypress in the 3 months prior to the announcement you will find that there are very few rich Russians or any other rich depositors left in Cypress. This advanced notification is of course a crime in itself. And yet despite all the illegal acts committed the only people getting penalized are the depositors.

Obviously the “investors” that is the owners of the banks and the bonds should forfit every single penny o their investments before a single depositor is touched.

And enough money should be left to ensure each bank has enough money to pay out every account on deposit

  • JustanOguy

And you don’t even mention the proposals being studied of forced IRA’s and 401K’s that forces investment into Treasuries and other government funded wealth redistribution programs…

In other words… wealth confiscation in the United States to pay for “programs” is already being studied.

    Happy Easter, folks. 🙂
K! Guess what I got!! I got a greenhouse! ….It also has ducklings in it right now. lol
And! I got my DREAM chickens. Can a person have such a thing?? Oh yes. Yes, they can! 😀
AND I sold my very first carton of eggs to someone who was NOT a family member AND I sold my very first birds ever. Three ducklings. Altogether, it was enough to buy a bag of feed. 😀 ….Of course…how much feed I am actually going through is a whole different story. I MAY be a LITTLE carried away with poultry fever. hehe
I have two turkey poults in a brooder and three pipped in my incubator.
It was so nice out today! I sat a good part of the day in the green house basking in the heat and teasing the ducklings. This afternoon, I sat out and plucked a couple roosters. 😀
Can I make soup with him and then just save the broth that’s left out of it and can it?

    • K

Outstanding, you have come a long way in a short time. With all the bad news out there, you just made my day. Yes, just remember when canning, more heat is required for any meat product vs any vegetable product. Please pass my congrats, on to your family.

      • HecatesMoon

        Thanks, K! 😀

    • Sandbagger

Best use for a rooster is to soak it in brine and then BBQ it. Brine is a must for those birds. Otherwise, they are tough as tires.

      • HecatesMoon

Younger birds have been ok without a soak. The two I just did were past the tender stage though for sure. I’m hoping a real slow simmer will take care of it though. If not then I can still save the broth at least!

  • zemba

    aaaaaaand, it’s gone..

    • HecatesMoon

      Ha! South Park! 😀

  • jox

I am absolutely for the system used in Cyprus. When yo make a bank deposit you are said (at least here in Spain) that your money is guaranteed up to 100.000€. That means that your money is NOT guaranteed above this quantity. This rule has important advantages: 1- Taxpayers money is not used to solve a private business problem. 2- Savers will be more aware about the risk. Using exaggerated words such as robbery or confiscation is not fair.

  • sharonsj

I have always believed in “hard assets.” I do not put my money in stocks and bonds. I have rural real estate and a house full of everything needed for survival. This “stuff,” is either used to get through hard times or sold to bring in immediate cash. I suggest everyone else do the same.

  • Bobby

When tax cheat Geithner stole Fed pension funds and the people didn’t rise up with anger, that proves people don’t care and will roll over when more pension funds and private saving accounts are stolen… a nation of sheeples

And yet another reason to TAX THE RICH AND SPREAD THE WEALTH:

On a typical winter’s day last year,
federal stats detail, over 663,000 people went homeless in the United States.
Single-room-occupancy shelter rates run about $558 per month. At that rate, notes analyst Paul Buchheit, any one of
America’s ten richest collected enough in 2012 income
to pay an entire year’s rent for all of America’s homeless.

Recent Headline: “Two cops arrested in Rio for watching as 2 teenagers being murdered”
This happens all the time. i was surprised that they bothered to arrest these cops. They usually do perimeter security for drug gang hit squads.
