West Coast Seismic Alert: 2 Alaskan Volcanoes Erupt As Earthquake Swarms At Mount St. Helens Raise Concerns

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Mount St. Helens, Mount Rainier and Mount Hood are all major volcanoes that lie along the infamous “Ring of Fire” that runs down the west coast of the United States, and all of the seismic activity that has been taking place in the region has many concerned about what may happen next.  Earlier this month, I wrote about how 45 earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or greater hit Alaska in just one 24 hour period.  This week, it is volcanic activity that is raising concerns.  The earthquake swarms at Mount St. Helens are making headlines all over the globe, and on Tuesday two major volcanoes in Alaska suddenly erupted on the exact same day

An eruption at Bogoslof volcano – one of two to erupt in the Aleutian Islands Tuesday – is its first after more than two months of inactivity, causing ash to fall in a nearby community before drifting south over the Pacific Ocean.

The Alaska Volcano Observatory said Tuesday night’s eruption at the volcano about 60 miles west of Unalaska, which began just after 10:30 p.m. and lasted for 73 minutes, sent a plume to an altitude of 34,000 feet.

Overall, 39 volcanoes around the world are either erupting right now or have recently erupted according to Volcano Discovery.

Most of those active volcanoes are along the Ring of Fire.

Fortunately, the U.S. portion of the Ring of Fire has been less active than other areas in recent years.  But experts assure us that will eventually change because seismic tension continues to build.  One example of this is what is happening at Mount St. Helens right now.  According to scientists, the famous volcano is currently going through what is known as a “magma recharge”

Since mid-April, small earthquakes have been cropping up deep beneath Mount St Helens at ‘relatively high rates,’ bringing roughly one tremor every few hours.

In the last 30 days, scientists have located 55 seismic events in the vicinity, and say there may be well over 100 earthquakes linked to the swarm so far.

The activity falls in line with magma recharge thought to be underway since 2008.

Someday it will erupt again, and the geologists that monitor these things are watching the latest developments very carefully

“Mount St. Helens is at normal background levels of activity,” Liz Westby, a geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey–Cascades Volcano Observatory, told ABC News. “But a bit out of the ordinary are several small magnitude earthquake swarms in March to May 2016, November 2016 and April 16 to May 5, 2017. During the April 16 to May 5, 2017, swarm, we detected well over 100 earthquakes, all below a magnitude 1.3.”

Personally, I am much more concerned about Mount Rainier than I am about Mount St. Helens.  Since the last time it erupted in the late 19th century, hundreds of thousands of people have moved into the danger zone around the volcano, and a full-blown eruption now would eclipse any other natural disaster in recorded U.S. history.

Over the last 30 days, there has also been a good bit of seismic activity at Mount Rainier, and much of it has been centered right along the core of the volcano…

Mount Rainier is capable of unleashing a flow of super-heated mud that could literally cover much of the Seattle/Tacoma area.  If you think that I am exaggerating, please see the following excerpt from Wikipedia

Mount Rainier is currently listed as a Decade Volcano, or one of the 16 volcanoes with the greatest likelihood of causing great loss of life and property if eruptive activity resumes.[45] If Mt. Rainier were to erupt as powerfully as Mount St. Helens did in its May 18, 1980 eruption, the effect would be cumulatively greater, because of the far more massive amounts of glacial ice locked on the volcano compared to Mount St. Helens,[37] the vastly more heavily populated areas surrounding Rainier, and the simple fact that Mt Rainier is a much bigger volcano, almost twice the size of St. Helens.[46] Lahars from Rainier pose the most risk to life and property,[47] as many communities lie atop older lahar deposits. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), about 150,000 people live on top of old lahar deposits of Rainier.[7] Not only is there much ice atop the volcano, the volcano is also slowly being weakened by hydrothermal activity. According to Geoff Clayton, a geologist with a Washington State Geology firm, RH2 Engineering, a repeat of the Osceola mudflow would destroy Enumclaw, Orting, Kent, Auburn, Puyallup, Sumner and all of Renton.[36] Such a mudflow might also reach down the Duwamish estuary and destroy parts of downtown Seattle, and cause tsunamis in Puget Sound and Lake Washington.[48] Rainier is also capable of producing pyroclastic flows and expelling lava.[48]

I keep warning about the dangers of a future eruption of Mount Rainier, and this is something that is so heavy on my heart that I even included an eruption of the volcano in my novel entitled The Beginning Of The End.  If you live in the Seattle/Tacoma area, you need to have a plan for a very rapid evacuation in the event a major eruption suddenly takes place.

On the other side of the world, scientists are warning that a supervolcano near Naples, Italy is reaching a critical stage.  The following comes from Newsweek

One of the world’s most dangerous supervolcanoes appears to be closer to erupting than we once thought, scientists have warned. Campi Flegrei in southern Italy has been showing signs of reawakening over the past 67 years, and new research indicates the volcano has been building energy throughout this period, increasing the risk that it will erupt.

Campi Flegrei is a huge volcanic field that sits about 9 miles to the west of Naples, a city home to over a million people. It is made up of 24 craters and edifices, and appears as a large depression on the surface of the land.

The volcano last erupted in 1538 after almost a century of pressure building up. But though it lasted over a week, this was a comparably small one—40,000 years ago, it produced a “super-colossal” eruption. This is the second highest measure on the volcanic explosivity index, the first being “mega-colossal,” like those seen at the Yellowstone supervolcano in the U.S. thousands of years ago.

For years I have been documenting how the crust of our planet is becoming increasingly unstable, and at some point a major seismic event is going to dramatically change life in America overnight.

Let us hope that day is delayed for as long as possible, but as certainly as you are reading this article it is coming.

Some of you may remember, it was exactly 37 years ago today, May 18, 1980, when Mt. St. Helens blew its top. It may be time for an encore…

    • Cinderella Man

Not quite that old Mondo. However I was born later that year. My older friends tell me about cleaning up ash from the eruption here in Montana. The ash cloud followed the wind east.

    • JC Teecher

Easy for me to remember as my daughter was born just nine days later. Soon will be 38 years when I heard that first little screaming cry of being cast out into a cold bright delivery room. What a miracle to touch flesh of my flesh combined with her mother’s. Now she has two of her own. Life is precious, especially innocent life, so why would anyone in their right mind want to steal it from someone. How can anyone that has any fragment of compassion, feel like they have a right to kill that innocent life?

          • Linki Kolodnicki

Jeri Brace, we were made in God’s image . The most beautifulest thing is that he did not create us as robots. Each person has a free will to do and worship what and whom he chooses. Who are we to say what good is a person. First we need to look at ourselves before we cast the first stone on someone. Snodtblossom isn’t even talking God dude. He was talking about the volcanoes.

That is interesting. Considering that we are all but clumps of cells.

But let’s go further. You wouldn’t exist without clumps of cells. You began as a clump of cells, and you will die a clump of cells.

So… what is it you are REALLY trying to say? You hate your self?

God does exist. Turn to Jesus and He will forgive and save you. Biblical prophecy fulfilled every day. The city of Jerusalem now the focus of the world, the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior at the door. Praise the Lord. Jesus saves.

        • Carl

Allah saves. Zeus saves. Krishna saves. The list could go on and on. The original authors of the bible thought the second coming would happen in their lifetime. They were apparently wrong. The only second coming is the recycling of souls back to the earthly plane again and again.

          • GSOB

And, what do you know? You have not experienced salvation. Salvation is in Jesus, Him only. Who says?

The triune god created humans with a triune brain. The triune god is a lie. It does not exist. You cannot have 3 beings to worship and claim monotheism. Not to mention I don’t see anyone worshiping the holy spirit and praying to him.

            Go spit on a fish

          • JC Teecher

That is such a coincidence of a statement, as i was reliving a once in a lifetime experience to my wife yesterday, whereby I actually did spit on a live fish, in the ocean.

I was on a Head boat off the coast of N Carolina, on a full day fishing excursion at the Gulf Stream. It was an awesome day of fishing, however; a little bit choppy, and we had just arrived at the final stopping point on the long day trip, right smack dab in the Gulf Stream. the Gulf Stream waters are visibly different of color and temperature, plus current.

As most people were totally worn out from fighting against the wakes and rails of the big boat all day, most had retired to dozing in the interior of the boat, which is about 100 ft.long. Of the seventy or so aboard, only about a dozen or so were still fishing, and only about three or four were on my side of the boat, as I was near the rear, were people were scattered about from the rear and opposite side, up to the front area. the remainder of the boaters, including my very sick fishing buddy, were inside, just awaiting the 3 hour ride back to dock.

I never, stop fishing until the all lines are called in, and milk the full $65.00 daily fee (in the 90’s) of what it is worth.
As it had been mostly sunny all day , with occasional passing puffy clouds, that did block the burning rays for a few seconds or a minute or two, the waters became darkened below my position on the rail. As it seemed kinda of strange that only this small area was darker, and the ocean was bright elsewhere, I was looking up toward the sun to see no clouds near the sun, and when I looked back down into the water, I saw why. A gigantic whale, as long as the boat has surfaced right along side, and almost touching the boat. he/she blew and sucked in air, at the far end of the boat where the beasts head was at. It then began to roll over, and the underside was covered in helmet sized barnacles, and I could not resist spitting onto the beast. It all happened so fast, and i was so amazed, I never had time to retrieve my camera and get a snapshot before it was gone.
Once in a lifetime experience, and I always thank God for that.

          • Linki Kolodnicki

“God is a Spirit..Therefore, he resides in a spiritual realm independent of the physical universe. When the Bible refers to “the heavens” as God’s dwelling place, it is referring to the loftiness of the place where he resides in contrast with the material environment in which we reside. In any event, the Bible teaches that God’s abode is, indeed, clearly distinguished from the physical universe but is at the same time a very specific location.—Job 2:1-2.
            God Is a Person
Jesus spoke about Jehovah’s dwelling place when he said to his disciples: “In the house of my father there are many abodes. . . . I am going my way to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2) Where did Jesus go? Eventually, he “entered . . . into heaven itself, now to appear before the person of God for us.” (Hebrews 9:24) This account teaches us two important facts about Jehovah God. First, he has a literal place of dwelling, and second, he is a person, not simply an indefinable force that resides everywhere.
That is why Jesus taught his followers to pray this way: “Our Father in the heavens,” directing their prayers to a person, Jehovah, who is in a place, namely, the spiritual heavens. (Matthew 6:9; 12:50) This teaching was consistent with the way God’s people had been taught to pray for more than 1,500 years. The oldest writings inspired by God contain the following prayer: “Do look down from your holy dwelling, the heavens, and bless your people.”—Deuteronomy 26:15.
            God’s All-Reaching Holy Spirit
While the Bible always refers to God as having a specific dwelling place, it often speaks of his holy spirit in ubiquitous terms. “Where can I go from your spirit, and where can I run away from your face?” asked the psalmist David. (Psalm 139:7) Some have been confused by such references and may conclude that God is omnipresent. Yet, when considering the context of this and other texts, it becomes clear that Jehovah’s holy spirit—or power in action—can be extended from his fixed location to any place in the material universe.
Like a father’s hand extending down to console and support his children, Jehovah’s hand—or holy spirit—can extend to any part of the spiritual realm or the physical universe to accomplish Jehovah’s purpose. Hence, the psalmist could say: “Were I to take the wings of the dawn, that I might reside there in the most remote sea, there, also, your own hand would lead me and your right hand would lay hold of me.”—Psalm

Yep, just one. When I was a kid, I was full of pizz and vinegar, and did some pretty mean things to my little brother. We were riding our bicycles when we were 10 and 7, respectively, back down the mountain from the store. As I gave him a head start in a race on the one mile down hill stretch, to home; I caught and passed him about a 1/4 mile from the house, and turned as i sped past and spat a big mouth full of saliva on him.

As I was laughing so hard and looking back at him yelling and wiping his face, the next thing I knew i was coming to, in the ditch along the highway, with my little brother saying wake up, wake up.

As I moved my head around to shake off the cobwebs, there laying six inches from my head was about a 50 lb. rock, of which could have killed me if my head landed on it as I was thrown over the handle bars.
Where had that rock came from, and why was it next to my head? After getting on my feet and standing up my bicycle, I heard the words in my head, be nice to your little brother. I never spat on him again and stopped throwing rocks at him…even when he threw them at me.
Did I ever think that was the Devil, or Buddah, or allah, or Shiva, or a little green man in a silver suit? NO!
I always knew it was my Heavenly Father, speaking directly to me, for my own good.
But; you would not understand that.

Actually my first time today. My friend lives in Hawaii and told me about the volcanoes making earthquakes. So I checked this site out. But then when I read some of the comments I was beside myself how twisted some of the scriptures were. So I added my flavorful knowledge.

          • JC Teecher

We are a mixed lot. some hate us for getting all biblical sometimes, but we don’t really care, because through discussion and even sometimes heated debate, we sometimes learn truth, and that is what it is ultimately about. None of us know everything, but we just keep trying to get closer to more truth. I have been at it seriously now for 15 years +.
Still learning, and still learning that there are people that already know it all, and can’t be taught.

Here is a quote that someone shared with me from Billy Graham.

“The worst gift I have ever seen, was a man all wrapped up in himself”.

Nice story teech but it does not prove the Omniscience of god.

Here is a story for you. A tornado tears through a small town. The news is interviewing a man who is thanking and praising god for saving his house and the lives of his family. Meanwhile on the next street over is another man whose house has been blown to bits by the tornado and his 2 year old is missing (later found dead under a pile of rubble a mile away).

We all want to believe that random near misses or thoughts that pop into our heads from time to time are of god, but the fact is that it is just not true.

I am sure you have heard or read this before:

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?

Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

            — Epicurus, philosopher (c. 341-270 BCE)

            I will add:

If god picks and chooses whom he will help in times of crisis and whom he will ignore and allow to suffer then what does that make god?

          • JC Teecher

Proves it to me, and for you, the proof will be when you are on your knees, and screaming out for forgiveness over your stupidity. But, I know not what kind of possible chemical imbalance you have, so that would possibly have some bearing on the records in your Book of Life, where every mockery and idle word is recorded.
God is Judge, and buddy is He going to Judge you harshly if you are so pig headed and have no reasonable excuse for your behavior.

          • Linki Kolodnicki

God is indeed omnipotent, and he is omniscient in the sense that nothing can be hidden from him. But is he omnipresent? Is God everywhere, or is he a person with a specific dwelling place?

            Emmanuel = God with us.
God did not transform Himself into flesh, else he would have been praying to Himself to the point of sweating blood.
            Makes absolutely no sense.

But, God, thorough His divine spirit, which resides within His Son Jesus Christ did see the world through flesh eyes…those of Christ.
This is why the days allotted for Antichrist reign was shortened from the days that were previously allowed to him on Earth back in Daniel’s day.
Why? “for the elect’s sake”…”else no flesh would be saved”.
It is a subject that requires some deeper interpretation and understanding, but I would not suffer to even make an attempt to one that believes Revelation has already been fulfilled…for the most part, as you have said.

          • GSOB

For many deceivers have gone out into the world, refusing to confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Watch yourselves, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, that you may be fully rewarded.

Anyone who runs ahead without remaining in the teaching of Christ does not have God.

Whoever remains in His teaching has both the Father and the Son.…
If anyone comes to you but does not bring this teaching, do not receive him
into your home or even greet him.

Whoever greets such a person shares in his evil deeds.

I agree that Rainer is a very dangerous volcano. I encourage all my conservative friends in that area to evac pronto. All joking aside it’s no laughing matter in my neck of the woods as well. I’m about 100 plus miles northeast of Yellowstone and I’ve pretty much resigned to the fact that I will be toast within hours of an eruption. They say communities like Livingston and Bozeman will be covered in ash a modern day Pompeii. I lived in the Oregon coast back in 99 for about a year and I’ll never forget the tsunami warning signs that were visible on every beach area. Old stumps were exposed from an old tsunami back in the 1700s. The El Nino was severe the year before. I don’t worry too much about whether or not I will be killed by the Yellowstone eruption but the economic cost of something like a Rainer eruption would make Katrina look like a walk in the park. Seattle would be wiped out from either the lahar or the tsunami that comes from a cascadia subduction zone quake. As one who claims to be a Christian, you base your worship on the Bible, do you not? Then you are interested in what occurred when Jesus came to earth in the flesh. This has an important connection with what we are here considering.

      • Linki Kolodnicki

the apostles connect the second coming of Christ with the Kingdom and the end of the world. They inquired, as recorded at Matthew 24:3 (NW), “What will be the sign of your presence and of the consummation of the system of things?” He assured them that he would come again, and it is manifest that he would do so in the spirit. And if his presence takes place at the time that the Kingdom is set up, it would mean that the Kingdom would not be visible to man either. Certainly there is no need for him to come again in the flesh. His flesh accomplished its purpose. He sacrificed this flesh and needs not humiliate himself again, because he is now exalted to heavenly glory, as Philippians 2:5-11 (NW) shows: “When he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake. For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name.” So, since he is now exalted, how can he be in the flesh and at the same time be higher than the angels, even higher than he was before he came down from heaven to earth? Since the angels are spirits, and all admit that they are, then most certainly Christ Jesus is a spirit.

There is plenty of shaking coming, and as the world turns, it won’t be much longer before those birth pangs of the New Age begin to align closer and closer together. Praise be, and give thanks that all you true Christians were given the opportunity to be alive and on the earth as these events unfold.
Even the prophets/disciples were excited when Christ talked about the end of this Age and the coming New Age. They were hoping they would get to experience what we are seeing come to fruition. Why?
Because; they had faith and wanted to be a part of the New Revival for winning souls, and seeing the heathen get a real look at reality.
Sadly for them, they had to set the standards and become the martyrs for Christ, and Christianity. Many more will be as well, thanks to a combination of liberalism/evil and islamic born hatred.
The shaking is coming to America, and it isn’t all coming from the rumblings within the ground. The jihadist are waiting for the call to action, and when it is made, the day of vengeance comes as tshtf.
Gear up, gird up, and guard up.

Ironically christianty as it existed back then is NOT the christianity that many know today. In fact all of the disciples of jesus were NOT christians. Jesus was not god.

Their are many fanatical’s in all religions. Unfortunately religion only twists a sick mind further than it already is.

Why are you joyful about heathens getting what they deserve? Is not the terrible things that go on in this realm punishment enough for so many?

      • Marc

JC didn’t say he was ‘joyful about the heathens getting what they deserve’. He explained what the excitement is about – “Because; they had faith and wanted to be a part of the New Revival for winning souls, and seeing the heathen get a real look at reality.” i.e. he is excited about their salvation, not their damnation. The disciples were most certainly followers of Christ and Jesus is most certainly God. You are very correct that Christianity today is not what it was )mostly in the West) – and that is primarily because people are not following Jesus. They want cheap salvation but without the cost of following the saviour. In the east however – Pakistan, China, Iran – places where Christians get imprisoned and executed – now there you will find followers of Christ in the same mould as the disciples.

        • Carl

Nonsense. What exactly does he think the reality for heathens will be? Christianity did NOT exist when jesus was alive. The disciples and jesus followed the old testament law. It is in your bible.

Jesus is NOT god and can never be god. If he was god why would he have to ask god why he forsoke him when he was on the cross? Himself?

          • Marc

Carl – text is one of the worst forms of communication. Please know, I am not talking to you in anger or with pride now. JC did not even imply he was happy about any suffering. Now about the law. The disciples followed the old testament law as a way to pay for salvation until they understood that salvation is by grace. Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. A gift can only be received, not paid for but they were very used to the idea of having to pay for being made right with God. So yes – they were Jews who lived by the LAW until the resurrection of Jesus and they had a major paradigm shift and their message changed dramatically. And virtually all of them died quite horribly spreading the message of reconciliation between man and God through Jesus Christ. On the cross, Jesus became sin and God’s wrath was put on him (this may be one of the reasons why Jesus, being fully man and God, said what he did because he had been temporarily separated from God). Why? – God in essence punished Himself because He does not want humanity to pay the price for sin. This was prophesied about in Isaiah 53 (written hundreds of years before Jesus was born) – v5-6 But he was hurt because of us; he suffered so.
Our wrongdoing wounded and crushed him. He endured the breaking that made us whole. The injuries he suffered became our healing. We all have wandered off, like shepherdless sheep,
scattered by our aimless striving and endless pursuits; The Eternal One laid on him, this silent sufferer,
the sins of us all. But then Jesus was raised from the dead. This is one of the key verses Lord Jesus said Luke 24: 46-49 This is what the Scriptures said: that the promised Anointed One should suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, that in His name a radical change of thought and life should be preached, and that in His name the forgiveness of sins should be preached, beginning in Jerusalem and extending to all nations. You have witnessed the fulfillment of these things. Carl – please, please – do some serious investigation into this. Try reading the book of John from beginning to end and take a chance – say ‘Jesus, if you are real, please show me’. You have nothing to lose. At the end of the day, we all have to make a choice about what we believe . What do I gain from writing all of that – possibly some mockery – but I promise you that I wrote it in the hope that you, or anyone else would come to know that Jesus is real, that He is love, that He is God, that He is our creator and that He is coming back – not as a humble servant this time, but as a King. of Man. Matthew 24:37-39 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son . I pray that the Holy Spirit will open your mind and heart to the truth in the name of Jesus. God bless.

I joy not at the destruction of any soul.
You sir are correct about the heathen getting a real dose of reality. Getting a full picture of truth is what it takes to get some liberal minded people to realize there is a hereafter and it comes with consequences of how they have lived their lives in this one.
Carl will see just as every breathing, man and woman that is of accountability; will also see, when they return to their spiritual body, and regain 100% recall of the way things were before and after Satan/Lucifer fell from grace, and took a third of God’s children with him.
Those that had the chance in this life, will have a thousand years to ponder and sweat it out, before the final judgment day. Those that did not have a chance in this life, will get the opportunity during the 1000 year reign.

I am not judging, but by discernment, i believe Carl has had a chance to learn truth and accept salvation or deny it, so….evidently he chose denial, and puts him in a precarious position with his Creator come Judgment Day.

          • Carl

So you are saying you can but you won’t? I think it is more like you can’t so you are saying you won’t.

I am not a liberal or a conservative. I am part of both. As are most people. Though many would deny this.

          • JC Teecher

But do you partake of strange flesh? Do you eat at Longdongsilver’s?

          • Linki Kolodnicki

Carl, it’s a fact the foolishness lies in the bossm of the stupid one. how do we know ?? anyone that does a foolish thing in life usually regrets, especially when they get older, don’t you think ? ??

          • Carl

I would argue that one only considers an action foolish when it has a negative consequence in their life or the life of someone they care about. Should their foolish action impact someone that they do not know or care about they will not think that said act was foolish nor will they regret said action if it benefits them in some way.

          • Linki Kolodnicki

This is true, at the same time many out there would rather deny the regret than humble them self and say I should have known better or could have done better. Some see the consequence as something good. Where as if asked what would u change in your life if you could the majority will tell you what it is. It can be a million and one things but they would. Meaning what?? They most likely acted with foolishness. ☺

          • JC Teecher

You should read with understanding before making a false accusation. I said I was not judging. Judging in God’s eyes is one human condemning another human to eternal hell fire. where have I judged anyone to hell fire?

Where Linki? You can’t show me because I have not judged anyone, “by name” to hell. By “discernment” which is very different, I have made the statement that Carl by his denial (mockery) of God, has put himself into a precarious position come Judgment Day. (if he continues to stay in denial (mockery).

You need to read with understanding before opening your pie hole with accusations. You would be better received in a setting such as this, and especially in an all Christian setting.
Christians don’t take too well to false accusations by another Christian, because it wreaks of a “Holier than thou” attitude, with heavy emphasis on the word attitude. You don’t like it when gsob talks down to you, do you?

What enemies sinners are to themselves!

        • Carl

Nonsense. Human beings are NOT sinners. They are people. Sometimes they do the right things. Sometimes the wrong things. Although what is immoral to you or I may be moral to them.

Not to mention that there are some people whose brains are not normal from birth.

Calling people sinners instead of addressing the scientific facts regarding our human brains and how they function and how they cause us to be who or what we are is just plain ignorant. The people who are in power know how to influence our brains, our actions, our behaviors. That is why they are in power and not normal, regular people who do not seek to understand themselves or other people.

Your supposed creator was a terrible architect of human design. He was also responsible for ramping up the “sin” capability of all human beings if you will because of the transgressions of 2 people (if you believe that lie). Not loving nor merciful.

Not to mention why is knowledge such a bad thing? Why give human beings a brain if you did not want them to be used? Why create such a flawed brain in the first place. It is not perfect and shows the imperfect creator.

Not to mention that even angels are capable of sin/rebellion so god really controls no one and nothing.

          • GSOB

The testimony of God, the Creator of man, about man, is reality. Therefore His testimony is greater than yours. You need help and only Christ saves.

            Psalm 81:15

          • Linki Kolodnicki

not to call names is best.. many are blinded . 2 cor.4:3&4: 3 If, in fact, the good news we declare is veiled…among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
so who is the god of this system ??
Satan has enormous influence. The apostle John said that “the whole world” is lying in his power, and Paul called him “the god of this system of things.” (1 John 5:19; 2 Corinthians 4:4) Hence, worship of any god apart from Jehovah is really worship of Satan
At the very least, it serves the purposes of Satan because his goal is to seduce the children of Adam and Eve to rebel against Jehovah. Since Satan is “misleading the entire inhabited earth,” clearly he has succeeded in the vast majority of cases. (Revelation 12:9) But not in all. There are still millions who strive to worship Jehovah.

True. Reading some of the mindless drivel here in the comment section confirms your notion.

          • Carl

I am referring to the mind of a human being without apathy. For whom hurting a person produces no remorseful response.

The human being is brainwashed from birth by parents, peers, education, tv, etc. Most will return to values that were instilled in them as a child because that is the most normal and comfortable for them. Very few ever stray from their familial and peer groups. Thus they never have the opportunity to expand their understanding so to speak.

First off…. there is nothing that merits salvation in the unregenerate heart…
2nd….. Until one is freed from the law of sin and of death by the sovereign call of God, by the operation of His Spirit…there is nothing but bondage to sin and death. Man remains captive and in bondage.
No one can come to the Lord unless it has been granted to them by the Father.
It is not a matter of Him who runs or wills in this matter…. it rests on God’s choosing…..
Once one is born again… now they learn to exercise themselves unto Godliness… as a duty, as a new desire….choosing Him and His will.

          • Linki Kolodnicki

The Creator is a Loving God. if you think otherwise its because the truth is not in you , Jesus’ words clearly identify Satan as “the father of the lie,” the originator of lying and untruth. Satan continues to be the chief proponent of untruth and, in fact, is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” He bears a heavy responsibility for the damage that widespread lying has done to humans today.—Revelation 12:9.

Tell me which parts of the old testament shows the creator GOD as being loving through his actions. The god of the old testament is a jealous and vengeful god seeking to destroy all who will not worship him. He also plays favorites and uses people for his amusement to prove an argument to the devil by murdering jobs entire family (whom had done nothing except be unlucky enough to be related to job).

Then we have a complete 180 turn around where god disappears and all we have is jesus replacing god – which is what the people have done.

Although in the bible jesus specifically told his disciples that they would do miracles greater than he did. So where are the books and stories written about the great miracles that the disciples did?

          • Linki Kolodnicki

So you are one of those linki. What a disappointment. No the creator cannot do what ever it wants with its creation.

And what do u mean I am one of those ??

          • Carl

          • Linki Kolodnicki

            What am I Carl.

          • Carl

So with that belief then parents should be allowed to do whatever they want to their children since they created them, right? I guess that is why children are viewed as property and put back into abusive homes over and over. What nonsense.

          • Linki Kolodnicki

Children are a gift from Jehovah God so parents should cherish that gift, inculcating the word of God into them. not treating the gift of life the way they want.& how they want. And if u know what I am then say it. I am not ashamed nor am I scared because Jehovah God is my God. Whom shall I fear. PS. 27:1-4.
But if you know what I am then say what you are.

          • Jeri Brace

Worshipping God is a display of your gratitude for god giving you life. You can show your appreciation or you can take that gift for granted. I do not recommend the latter!

          • Carl

Actually your parents gave you life, not god. Please explain to me exactly how babies are made and how god is involved in this process. I guess the people that are born into a life of child abuse can thank god for that.

      • Richard O. Mann

Jesus Christ is Jehovah God. And Christianity is not a religion. But, if you are not born again, you are on the outside looking in, and can not understand what it is about. In reality, it is spiritual possession, by God Himself.

However, it is the true religion.

There is a cognitive dissonance among people of all faiths. • Linki Kolodnicki

A consideration of the context of Colossians 2:9 clearly shows that having “divinity,” or “divine nature,” does not make Christ the same as God the Almighty. In the preceding chapter, Paul says: “God saw good for all fullness to dwell in him.” (Col 1:19) Thus, all fullness dwells in Christ because it “pleased the Father” (KJ, Dy), because it was “by God’s own choice.” (NE) So the fullness of “divinity” that dwells in Christ is his as a result of a decision made by the Father. Further showing that having such “fullness” does not make Christ the same person as Almighty God is the fact that Paul later speaks of Christ as being “seated at the right hand of God.”—Col 3:1.

The earth has been really quite for millennia. So has the sun.
We humans do not know how volatile the earth can be when is wakes up.
The last 10,000 years it has been almost virtually asleep. I hope when it does wake up it is not really angry to the point of catastrophic results

    • JC Teecher

I hear ya loud and clear. From what science can tell us, which isn’t always 100% correct, but is getting pretty close with new technology and knowledge, the past 10,000 years has been really quiet, compared to the previous 10,000.
The peak of the last Ice Age is determined to be around the date of 24,000 B C. After that, it took about 8 to 10 thousand years for the earth to return to a mostly inhabitable environment.
The first humans/flesh were probably placed upon the earth, in the form of indigenous peoples, by God in the time frame of about 14,000 years ago up to about 11,000 years ago. Then about 6000 years ago, God created the Adamic race of peoples, as we know as Caucasians, via Adam & Eve. Exactly how long before these two, were other races created, we don’t exactly know, but we, as in people with an intelligent mind and commonsense, know they were created separate, and were preserved through the flood of Noah.

It is a ludicrous conclusion that all races have “evolved” from two Caucasian people formed by Their Creator, about 6000 years ago, and then again from two different people, Caucasian people, after Noah’s flood. Just as ludicrous as the ideology (myth) that all evolved from apes/primates.

Anyways, I like to imagine what the earth was like just before the “impact” of a 6 mile wide Asteroid/Meteor, that supposedly knocked the earth off it’s Axis by about 5 degrees, and continues to make true North 90 to 100 miles off. The earth was lush with vegetation, and that is why a Woolly Mammoth was found under the Arctic Ice, that still had a buttercup in it’s mouth.
That was a quick change to a deep freeze state, that preserved that situation.
That was approximately 60 million years ago, that brought about the demise of the Dinosaur Age. Why?
Because God wanted it that way.
Why will the earth split apart and belch fire and smoke into the heavens so thick that the sun will become un-viewable? Because God wants it that way….again.

      • Carl

Yes teecher it is ludicrous BUT that is exactly what the bible and christian faith teaches people. Since your beliefs for the most part do not even line up with the bible I really have to wonder what book(s) you are reading to form these conclusions as most if not all evangelicals would denounce what you are stating.

My thought is that god has many different aspects of consciousness and that each consciousness creates different things. That is why you have the plains of Africa, deserts, Chinese people, etc, etc etc.

        • Linki Kolodnicki

we all come from different basck grounds brought up on different beliefs. we though when cut bleed the same, our hearts when healthy beat the same, we fall the same and talk the same. one day though we will all be speaking the same language and when we do all will know who Jehovah God is and that His word was real and that His purpose for this earth wiil be done. so instead of badgering each other try to sympathize with one another and try to understand each other on what they believe and why. this way you will be without rage or hatred or thoughts of wickedness in your minds that will eventually go to your heart and then act out. be peace makers and not peace breakers. Love others as you want to be loved. 🙂

prophecy has always come thru and earthquakes one after the other is a prophecy concerning the last days.. one may ask last days of what ??? can anyone answer that without name calling and putting other beliefs and faiths down //

        • JC Teecher

          Yes. I will try.
Simply put, it the last days of this 2nd Heaven and Earth Age, as there are Three total. The one that was, when all of God’s children, were in Spiritual/Non organic=flesh, bodies. The one that is now, where all must be born from above, into the womb, as flesh.
And the One to come, whereby all flesh returns back into spirit/non corruptible/non-aging bodies, for the eternity.

All will be changed. When? At the last/seventh trump sound, when Christ returns and sets feet down to remain on Earth for Eternity, (not retrun and leave for 7 years like the pre-tribulationists teach).
Some will change and there will be no more chances, as they are doomed for Hell Fire and an eternal blotting out.
Some will change for life eternal with their King, Jesus Christ Yeshua, and their Heavenly Father, Jehovah.
And some will change for their truth teachings for 1000 years, and then be tested and tried by Satan for a season, just before the Great White Throne Judgment.

Those that have already failed in this age will come out of prison in the bowels of the earth to face eternal damnation by the One and Only Judge, Creator.
And those that did not change after hearing truth teachings during the 1000 year reign, will be blotted out as well.

The remainder of us will receive our garments of white linen, based on what has been recorded in our Books of Life during our past with regards to our deeds, aka righteous acts.
Many many, actually most, will barely have enough linens for a little pair of tightey whiteys, as they just barely got in through grace and repentance, with no real good deeds, and no real bad deeds.
Sorry to draw out the “big” picture, but this is part of God’s Master Plan, and is why there must come an end to this Dispensation of time, known as the flesh age. An end of one to begin the other. The “last days”, is just a metaphor for the final days of this age, and not a literal last days of all life.

The word “tribulation” has been symbolic with the last days as total chaos and death, and the end of life as we know it. It will not be that way for everyone. many will escape tribulation as they live comfortably right next to all kinds of upheaval.

Many take tribulation as torture from Antichrist/Satan. The pre-trib preachers want people to feel this way, because it keeps them coming to church, paying tithes/offerings, and keeps them hungry for more preacher’s pedestal talk. ” you have nothing to fear, nor do you need to read and understand Revelation, cause you are gonna be out a here, before the shtf”
          Lies, and more lies.

Tribulation has one meaning and one meaning only in regards to the tribulation of Antichrist, and in the Hebrew and Greek, being rightly divided, it means simply “pressure”.

The very last days before Christ rejuvenates and God cleanses the earth, for eternal habitation, and we have not been yet changed into spiritual bodies, there will come the tribulations of Jehovah against those that have not His seal in their foreheads, or have a changed heart.
It will be extreme pressure/tribulation, from many different earthly extremes, but for their own good.

Two tribulations, one with pressure by the fake Christ, and the other, with extreme pressure by the Heavenly Father using the rod of correction as “tough love”, one final time.

        You are puffed up enough.

      • JC Teecher

“……he/ adam lost everything, even eternal life. ”

Uh oh! You stepped in your proverbial poop, Linki.
You have been calling out others for making judgment calls on people, and what have you just done. No where in God’s Word is there any indication that Adam was sentenced to death of the soul, which is what you are saying when you say, “lost everything, even eternal life”.

See, you completely lost hold of the Master Plan of God, for this 2nd Heaven and Earth Age. No flesh , or better said, no man nor beast “in the flesh” was meant to live forever. This Age is nothing more than one big giant test for all God’s children from the 1st Heaven and Earth Age, and was meant to pass, in time, to return unto the all Spirit eternal dimension, once all souls have been “birthed” through the flesh body of woman.
Once all souls are birthed, then comes the consummation of the end of this Age, and then the 1000 year reign, the Great White Throne Judgment, and then the Eternal Kingdom here on Earth, whereby all living creatures are in spirit bodies for all of eternity.

The meaning you derive from about Adam, was pertaining to the length of time previously allowed for humans to live in the flesh, before passing on to the spirit realm. By example we can say with fairly good reasoning that God had set up this flesh age for man to live approximately 1000 years old.
Methuselah lived to be the oldest ever, as we are told, a full 969 years. He was our guide post for longevity of man, before Adam’s sin, of which, all flesh was beginning to shorten from it’s original longevity determination.

Notice in scripture, after Methuselah died, man’s lifespan began to shorten dramatically.
Eventually God set a generational life expectancy to 120 years.

        Gen 6:3
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

After Noah, the life spans of man came down exponentially. Why? I have a theory and it has to do with the loss of the firmament and the reason for the flood, but I dare not get into it here. That will be reserved for a book at some time in the near future.

Before St. Helen’s erupted in 1980, there were ample warnings about two months in advance and almost everyone moved out of the danger zone in time except for 57 people who were killed. Before Ranier blows her top, it will be interesting to see how many evacuate the surrounding counties and cities with the same warning time frame. If there is a warning.

    • Take The Red Pill

Many of the 57 who were killed were in areas deemed ‘safe’ by the USGS and Washington’s state government; the main problem was that Mt. St. Helens erupted unexpectedly, and in a manner that the authorities were not expecting.
The initial blast was preceded by a massive 5.1 earthquake, which shook loose the north slope of the volcano (which was already under tension from pressure by magma being forced into areas under that sector of the volcano). The resulting landslide (which remains the biggest yet known in recorded history) uncovered the volcano’s magma chamber — which caused a massive lateral pyroclastic blast to the north. It was this pyroclastic blast which caused the majority of the deaths.

As for the lust – it is a component of the triune brain made by god so if you want to blame someone blame him. Many people only function with the second and third level of their triune brains. Dearly loved friends,

don’t always believe everything you hear just because someone says it is a message from God: test it first to see if it really is.

For there are many false teachers around, and the way to find out if their message is from the Holy Spirit is to ask:

Does it really agree that Jesus Christ,
God’s Son, actually became man with a human body?

If so, then the message is from God. If not, the message is not from God, but from one who is against Christ, like the “Antichrist”
you have heard about who is going to come
and his attitude of enmity against Christ is already abroad in the world.

Fears ‘Big One’ earthquake imminent following mass whale beaching
    Daily Star 2/16/17

Mass suicides of whales and dolphins are believed to be related to disturbances in electromagnetic fields, science boffins claim.
Last week the bodies of 400 pilot whales washed up on New Zealand’s South Island – sparking fears an earthquake is imminent.
More than 170 whales hauled themselves onto the shores of Australia and New Zealand in the weeks leading up to the earthquake in the Indian Ocean.

The rumbles triggered the deadly Boxing Day tsunami which wiped out more than 230,000 people….
Dr Arunachalam Kumar, of Kanachur Medical College in India, posted a warning in early December 2004 just weeks before the tsunami struck.

He explained: “It is my observation, confirmed over the years, that mass suicides of whales and dolphins that occur sporadically all over the world, are in someway related to change and disturbances in the electromagnetic field coordinates and possible realignments of geotectonic plates thereof.

        The Canaanites: Genocide Or Judgment?

Article contributed by Stand To Reason
        Visit Stand To Reason website

        Related Media
The assault on theism by the so-called “New Atheists” has principally focused on three areas. People like Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, and Daniel Dennett have argued, broadly, that reason is on their side, science is on their side, and morality is on their side.1

One justification for the atheists’ claim to high moral ground is what seems to them to be the patently immoral conduct of the God of the Old Testament. According to Richard Dawkins, for example, God is not only a delusion, but a “pernicious delusion”:

The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty, ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.2

As an aside, it seems ironic that an atheist who denies the existence of objective morality can overflow so readily with moral indignation. But that’s another matter. The deeper concern is that this challenge needs an answer, not so much for hardened atheists like Dawkins (who are unlikely to be satisfied with any explanation), but because atheists are not the only ones troubled.

        Say It Ain’t So

Though many parts of Dawkins’s charge have been answered by thoughtful Christians, certain passages in the Old Testament even give believers pause. Like these:

When the Lord your God brings you into the land where you are entering to possess it, and clears away many nations before you…you shall utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them and show no favor to them. Furthermore, you shall not intermarry with them…. For they will turn your sons away from following Me to serve other gods. Then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you and He will quickly destroy you. But thus you shall do to them: You shall tear down their altars, and smash their sacred pillars, and hew down their Asherim, and burn their graven images with fire. (Deut. 7:1-5)3

Only in the cities of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, you shall not leave alive anything that breathes. But you shall utterly destroy them, the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite and the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that they may not teach you to do according to all their detestable things which they have done for their gods, so that you would sin against the Lord your God. (Deut. 20.16-18)

Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’” (1 Sam 15:2-3)

Strong words. Reading them brings to mind horrible terms like “genocide” or “ethnic cleansing.” Could this command really come from the God of all grace and mercy, the same God who, in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, “became flesh, and dwelt among us…full of grace and truth” (Jn. 1:14)?

        Maybe not, according to some.

        But Did He Mean It?

Authors like philosopher Paul Copan (Is God a Moral Monster?) have argued, somewhat persuasively, that taking these commands entirely at face value would be to misread the genre. God gave the directives, to be sure (the Jews hadn’t thought this up on their own), but one must accurately understand God’s intention before he can accurately assess God’s commands.

First, the wording should be understood in the context of ancient Near Eastern military narrative, the argument goes. Ancient writings commonly traded in hyperbole—exaggeration for the sake of emphasis—especially when it came to military conquest. The practice is evident throughout battle reports of the time. “Joshua’s conventional warfare rhetoric,” Copan writes, “was common in many other ancient Near Eastern military accounts in the second and first millennia B.C.” 4

Therefore, phrases like “utterly destroy” (haram), or “put to death men and women, children, and infants”—as well as other “obliteration language”—were stock “stereotypical” idioms used even when women or children were not present. 5 It decreed total victory (much like your favorite sports team “wiping out” the opposition), not complete annihilation.6

Second, Copan argues, women and children probably weren’t targets since the attacks were directed at smaller military outposts characteristically holding soldiers, not noncombatants (who generally lived in outlying rural areas). “All the archaeological evidence indicates that no civilian populations existed at Jericho, Ai, and other cities mentioned in Joshua.”7

Third, on Copan’s view the main purpose of the conquest was not annihilation, but expulsion—driving the inhabitants out—and cleansing the land of idolatry by destroying every vestige of the evil Canaanite religion8 (e.g., “You shall tear down their altars, and smash their sacred pillars, and hew down their Asherim, and burn their graven images with fire.” Deut. 7:1-5). Further, this process would be gradual, taking place over time: “The Lord your God will clear away these nations before you little by little. You will not be able to put an end to them quickly, for the wild beasts would grow too numerous for you” (Deut. 7:22).

Finally, the record shows that Joshua fully obeyed the Lord’s command:

Thus Joshua struck all the land, the hill country and the Negev and the lowland and the slopes and all their kings. He left no survivor, but he utterly destroyed all who breathed, just as the Lord, the God of Israel, had commanded…. He left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded Moses. (Josh. 10:40, 11:15)

Still, at the end of Joshua’s life it was clear that many Canaanites continued to live in the land, left to be driven out gradually by the next generation (Josh. 23:12-13, Judges 1:21, 27-28). According to Copan, if Joshua did all that was expected of him, yet multitudes of Canaanites remained alive, then clearly the command to destroy all who breathed was not to be taken literally, but hyperbolically.

If these arguments go through—if God did not command the utter and indiscriminate destruction of men, women, and children by Joshua’s armies, but simply authorized an appropriate cleansing military action to drive out Israel’s (and God’s) enemies—then the critic’s challenge is largely resolved, it seems.

It’s quite possible, then—at least according to some thoughtful observers—that the “genocide” charge is based on an inaccurate understanding of what the text actually means. But not everyone agrees.

        Yes, God Meant It

Researchers like Clay Jones see it differently.9 He understands these passages principally in terms of judgment, not displacement. Even if some hyperbolic and stereotypical language is in evidence, still there’s no escaping the implications that a major incentive for the conquest was judgment. Note:

“It is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God is driving them out before you…” (Deut. 9:5)

“Do not defile yourselves by any of these things, for by all these the nations which I am casting out before you have become defiled.” (Lev. 18:24-25)

“When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations…because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out before you.” (Deut. 18:9, 12)

God was angry. Indeed, He was furious. And with good reason. Even by ancient standards, the Canaanites were a hideously nasty bunch. Their culture was grossly immoral, decadent to its roots. Its debauchery was dictated primarily by its fertility religion that tied eroticism of all varieties to the successful agrarian cycles of planting and harvest.

In addition to divination, witchcraft, and female and male temple sex, Canaanite idolatry encompassed a host of morally disgusting practices that mimicked the sexually perverse conduct of their Canaanite fertility gods: adultery, homosexuality, transvestitism, pederasty (men sexually abusing boys), sex with all sorts of beasts,10 and incest. Note that after the Canaanite city Sodom was destroyed, Lot’s daughters immediately seduced their drunken father, imitating one of the sexual practices of the city just annihilated (Gen. 19:30-36).

Worst of all, Canaanites practiced child sacrifice. There was a reason God had commanded, “Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molech” (Lev. 18:21 NIV):

Molech was a Canaanite underworld deity represented as an upright, bull-headed idol with human body in whose belly a fire was stoked and in whose outstretched arms a child was placed that would be burned to death….And it was not just infants; children as old as four were sacrificed.”11

        And:

A bronze image of Kronos was set up among them, stretching out its cupped hands above a bronze cauldron, which would burn the child. As the flame burning the child surrounded the body, the limbs would shrivel up and the mouth would appear to grin as if laughing, until it was shrunk enough to slip into the cauldron.12

Archaeological evidence indicates that the children thus burned to death sometimes numbered in the thousands.13

The Canaanites had been reveling in debasements like these for centuries as God patiently postponed judgment (Gen 15.16). Here was no “petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty, ethnic cleanser” (to use Dawkins’s words). Instead, here was a God willing to spare the Canaanite city of Sodom for the sake of just ten righteous people (Gen. 18:32), a God who was slow to anger and always fast to forgive (note Nineveh, for example).

But is there not a limit? Indeed, what would we say of a God who perpetually sat silent in the face of such wickedness? Would we not ask, Where was God? Would we not question His goodness, His power, or even His existence if He did not eventually vanquish this evil? Yet when God finally does act, we are quick to find fault with the “vindictive, bloodthirsty, ethnic cleanser.”

The conquest was neither ethnic cleansing nor genocide. God cared nothing about skin color or national origin. Aliens shared the same legal rights in the commonwealth as Jews (Lev. 19:34, Lev. 24:22, Deut. 10:18-19). Foreigners like Naomi and Rahab were welcome within their ranks.

God cared only about sin. The conquest was an exercise of capital punishment on a national scale, payback for hundreds of years of idolatry and unthinkable debauchery.14 Indeed, God brought the same sentence of destruction on His own people when they sinned in like manner.

        • Carl

The point is that god did NOT by his own hand kill anyone. He had human beings do the killing for him. Thus god has no ability to actually do anything on this earth. We are his puppets to kill at his command apparently.

“Molech was a Canaanite underworld deity represented as an upright,
bull-headed idol with human body in whose belly a fire was stoked and in
whose outstretched arms a child was placed that would be burned to
death….And it was not just infants; children as old as four were
          sacrificed.”

So god is against child sacrifice but is OK with murdering Canaanite toddlers and infants? What is the difference?

          • muldoon55 .

Perhaps a complete read of the above reference material will yield an explanation but in short , Jehovah God exercised great restraint and permitted the shocking practices of Canaan to go on for centuries before finally executing judgement.

          • Carl

It seems you will justify anything to keep your faith. What a dangerous predicament your bible and your god puts you in.

Yet many christians cannot understand how those who practice radicalized islam can justify their actions.

They are 2 sides of the same coin are they not? The only difference is you believe in your religion and believe that theirs is a lie.

You justify gods actions in killing canaanite infants yet in the same breath condemn the canaanites for killing their infants as a sacrifice to their god.

Can you not see that both result in the same end – dead infants?

          • muldoon55 .

            Radical Islam kills indiscriminately

          • Carl

Evidence that all religions are a form of brainwashing.

          • JC Teecher

Carl, oh you little obi wan. You are so biblically illiterate, that you can’t rightly divide the Word, and therefore you communicate lies against Jehovah.
            You say:
“…god did NOT by his own hand kill anyone”.

Proof is in the Word, by God’s own hand and instruction we are told truth, if we look and accept it.

            Gen 38:7
And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.

            1Sa 6:19
And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.

            2Sa 6:6
And when they came to Nachon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
            2Sa 6:7
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

Now, obi wan, what part of …”the Lord slew him”, and ” because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter” and “God smote him..”, do you not understand.
Do you have more lies to try to make the Word of God void?
Do your words, out of the mouth of a heathen, have more influence than those written of, by, and for God,; who have more authority?

You still did not answer my other questions?

          • JC Teecher

But do you partake of strange flesh? Do you eat at Longdongsilver’s?
If not, do you approve of it?

          • Carl

Do I care what people do in their free time is that what you are asking? If it is then no I do not. With the caveat as long as they are not harming innocents in their lifestyles by forcing it on the unwilling through coercion or what not.

People are a too preoccupied with sex and this is especially true with those of the all faiths.

The appeal to the reptile/animal part of the triune brain is apparent on TV, in religion and the government uses this to control the people. Brainwashing occurs not just in religion but in music, movies, tv, etc, etc.

The human brain is so flawed that it is almost laughable how easy it is to get people to think that the thoughts they have are their own and not carefully implanted by repetition.

          • JC Teecher

            Carl says:
“The human brain is so flawed that it is almost laughable how easy it is to get people to think that the thoughts they have are their own and not carefully implanted by repetition.”

Although Carl can’t see it, this is precisely why God wiped out all the children along with their heathen, idol worshiping, and sexual deviants of Sodom and Gomorrah loving parents.

The children would have continued on with the traditions and sins of their parents, because they had been “implanted with repetition”.
Were some innocent because of their age? Yes, and the innocent remain innocent and transformed into life eternal in the spirit dimension.
God is fair, and equal,no matter what obi wan wants to believe.

There is a term we use today in modern terminology, called “collateral damage”. Which is to say injury and death of unintended targets.
The same thing happened in many instances back in the early biblical times. One such was when Korah made his fatal mistake of taking on Moses., whom had been ordained by God to lead.
In all reality, Korah was another Lucifer, going against God’s plan, and taking thousands of lives, some innocent, along with him into judgment.

The story of Korah, is told in Numbers 16. How the earth opened up and consumed the whole lot of them. Then 250 more rebels were consumed by a fire from the Lord.

The next day the story really gets interesting, as the Carls of the day, complained about the Lord’s killing of the rebellious peoples. It infuriated the Lord that his children had turned against Him and His plan, and he sent a plague upon them to destroy the whole lot. Had not been for the prayers and pleading by Moses and Aaron, it would have become a complete devastation of the Israelites.

When the dust settled, all deaths totaled about 14,700, all because of a rebellious person, with a Carl attitude, had stepped up and found people willing to fall into his deceptive trap of trying to blame and circumvent God’s Master Plan.

So, there is a message for the liberal, reprobate minded people like Carl.
You are in for a severe gourd thumping if you continue to mock, blame, and circumvent God’s Holy Plan.
Just sayin’. Got those asbestos drawers handy?

          • Carl

“Although Carl can’t see it, this is precisely why God wiped out all the
children along with their heathen, idol worshiping, and sexual deviants
of Sodom and Gomorrah loving parents.”

Really, so exactly what did this accomplish. The wiping out of hundreds of thousands of people? Apparently that did not stop anything. Lot’s own daughters raped him when he was passed out drunk. Which if your god was omnipotent he would have known that it would happen and probably should have left them to burn also.

Not to mention we have the repopulation issue with Noah, his sons and their wives. I guess it is no wonder the sin of incest is the scourge on society that it was since it was god ordained. But I guess god in all his omnipotence did not see that one coming either.

You argue that infants and toddlers would have been products of their parents and upbringing based on the argument that I made about people being programmed by their parents and society they lived in without even knowing it.

That argument could potentially hold water Teecher if god had NOT specifically told them that they could keep the virgin girls alive for themselves. Wouldn’t they have been just as likely to spread the “sins of their parents” as the male infants and toddlers? Nice try though teech, but try again.

Once again your god is NOT omnipotent and the bible is NOT representational of what god is. The bible and all other religious books are a man made interpretation of god and they are all just plain wrong.

          • JC Teecher

“You argue that infants and toddlers would have been products of their parents and upbringing based on the argument that I made about people being programmed by their parents and society they lived in without even knowing it.”

Lie, lie, lie. Liar liar, pants on fire!
Never did i say such. I said “children”, which is reference to those old enough to learn from their elders.
Infants and toddlers are not part of that grouping, as they are called the “innocents”.

You have a problem with the truth, are you gay crazy or just that dumb?

          • Carl

Yet you ignore my other points about Lot and Noah. Pick and choose teechy, pick and choose.

So infants and toddlers were not ordered to be MURDERED BY GOD in the old testament?

            Here’s some more evidence:

            1:Samuel 15:3
Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel….

Exodus 12:29 God ordered all first born males killed. This included children and infants.

Numbers 31:7-18 – kill all the Midianites except for the virgins.

Numbers 16:41-49 – he even kills his chosen people.

          • JC Teecher

See your problem is that you may say you believe in a God, but your vision of Him is that of a man with limitations.

God created and hung the earth in perfect position, in the space of the Universe, on nothing. No strings no pedestal…nothing.
Yet you put limitations on His ability and Plan.

I never said the innocents..aka infants and toddlers were not removed from the earth, by God, however; God has the ability to remove their soul/spirit from their tiny bodies, in the twinkling of an eye, instantaneously, without one ten thousandths of a percent chance of them feeling any pain or discomfort.

But your limited, carnal, and broken brain can’t comprehend such compassion from our Heavenly Father.
Get a grip on reality, and remove your head from your posterior, cause you are sounding like a sick puke, stuck on a hamster wheel.

          • Carl

You are brainwashed. Still ignoring the facts though aren’t you teechy. God has no abilities if that was the case he would not need humans to do his killing for him, he could just do it in the twinkling of an eye as you said.

          • Carl

More brainwashing. Use logic not bible verses to explain the behavior of god in the old testament.

god did not write the bible. But I wonder why the god of the old testament was against the mixing of fabrics. Perhaps he is a tailor in heaven.

If god is omnipotent which by definition is able to do anything. Then why did he have man do his killing for him? Answer: because god is not omnipotent. He is unable to physically do anything on this earth. All religious texts are lies.

As I crossed over the Mississippi River, heading West, on many of my Trucking adventures from 1993 till mid 2010, at the West Memphis bridge crossing, I often imagined how I would ever get back home, if the bridge collapsed from a New Madrid Earthquake event comparable to the 1811 event, and tumble more than a hundred feet into the murky Mississippi. About a year ago, this article came out about some interesting facts associated.

“ …..thanks to a recently completed $260 million seismic retrofit, the bridge—a chokepoint for traffic in the central U.S.—is now fortified. It’s also decked out with strong-motion accelerometers and bookended by borehole seismometers to record convulsions in the earth.
The bridge passes a glass colossus, the Memphis Pyramid. Originally built as a nod to the city’s Old Kingdom namesake, the pyramid now enshrines a Bass Pro Shops megastore. The city recently spent $25 million to prevent the pyramid from being swallowed, perhaps by Geb, the ancient Egyptian god of earthquakes. Further downtown, AutoZone’s corporate headquarters also stands ready for a tectonic throttling, propped up as it is on top of giant shock absorbers, while, the nearby Memphis VA is similarly inured to temblors after the city spent $64 million dollars removing nine floors of the hospital to reduce the risk of collapse in a catastrophic earthquake.
The New Madrid Seismic Zone, in the winter of 1811 and 1812, three earthquakes of magnitude 7, and possibly as high as 7.7, and countless punishing aftershocks thereafter, rocked the sparsely inhabited frontier of the American Midwest. The earth had slipped somewhere deep under the frontier settlement of New Madrid, Missouri, and the resulting earthquakes opened up chasms, diverted the Mississippi, threw trees to the ground and landslides into the river. It created temporary waterfalls and lasting lakes. Meanwhile, existing lakes were turned inside out, as cracks in the ground spewed volcanoes of sand and water into the air. Boatmen caught in the maelstrom said the Mississippi appeared to run backwards. The quakes woke New Yorkers, rang church bells in Charleston, South Carolina, buzzed bemused Torontonians a country away, and brought down chimneys from St. Louis to Cincinnati. Because the deep rock in the middle of the continent is older and colder than out west, strong shaking was felt over an area 10 times that of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.
In 1999, FEMA identified four hazards in the United States that, were they consummated, in all their destructive wonder, would be worthy of the title “catastrophic.” They were: a major earthquake hitting Los Angeles, a major hurricane hitting Miami, a major hurricane hitting New Orleans (check), and a giant earthquake hitting the Central US.”

As someone that has felt aftershocks from two events in my lifetime, once in 1970 while sitting on a wooden bench outside the local country store, as a glass pop bottle hopped up and down on the other end.
Then again in 1994 while lying on a motel bed in San Bernardino, CA a few days after the Northridge quake, I can say; “I don’t like the feeling”.

Events are coming, that will definitely cause much devastation, and it will hit in North America. People in these high percentage areas should probably think about relocating if the rumblings start, even if it is just for a planned stay-cation to somewhere far away.

Now that’s hot stuff! Mesmerizing timelapse video shows lava pouring out of Hawaiian Volcano

This is the hottest footage you’ll see all week – 2,120 degrees Farenheit to be precise. Recorded on Friday, this stunning timelapse footage shows lava from Hawaii’s Kilauea Volcano (pictured inset, bottom) crawling down the side of the mountain, swallowing all in its path.

Filmed by eppixadventures.com, the burning river had flowed for four miles along the volcano’s ridge line, where it was inaccessible to even the most adventurous explorer, until Thursday. But even once it reached the bottom of an accessible cliff face, where this video was recorded, it required effort – and risk – to film. Thankfully, it was worth the wait.

    WHAT IS GOD’S NAME?

I was raised to believe that God’s name is Jehovah but I no longer believe that now since that teaching does not fit in with the true Scriptures. I have been blessed by the Lord with “eyes to see” which comes only with true repentance and faith in Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

Jesus tells us clearly that he came in his FATHER’S NAME in order to bring glory to the Father. That name is Jesus. The Father likewise glorifies the Son and stands behind the name Jesus to enforce it. The Lord will make sure that EVERY knee bows to Him and EVERY tongue confesses (acknowledges) that Jesus Christ is the Lord (ruler) to the glory of God the Father. (Philip 2:10-11; Rom 14:11)

TOP SCRIPTURES PROVING THAT GOD’S NAME IS JESUS:

    1) “I have come in my Father’s name.” (John 5:43) This means: The Son did not come in his own name to bring glory to himself, he came in his Father’s name to bring glory to his Father and he makes this clear by saying, “…my Father is greater than I.” (John 14:28)

    2) “I have revealed Your name to them, the name You gave me. (John 17:6, 11, 12, 26) This means: When Jesus revealed us to his Father he also revealed his Father’s name to us as well. God only revealed His name through His appointed Saviors. First through Moses and now through the greater Moses, Jesus Christ. (see the prophecy in Isaiah 52:4-11 and the ongoing fulfillment in Romans 10:9-21) Moses revealed God’s name for the first time to His people, the name I Am, to prove God as the Savior of His people through him. God glorified that name. (Exodus 6:3; Exo 3:13-15) Jesus (the greater Moses) revealed God’s name to His people which will have greater significance as God proves Himself as Savior to His people on a much grander scale through His Son, Jesus. This name, Jesus (which means God saves; Matt 1:21) is the name God will glorify again. Jesus prayed, “Father, glorify your name!” Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.” (John 12:28)

    3) “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”(Acts 4:12) This means: We should put faith only in the name Jesus to save us. Although the Father and the Son share many names and many titles, the Scriptures makes it clear that only the name Jesus can save us.

    4) “The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ of whom the whole family in Heaven and Earth derives its name.” (Eph 3:14) Since all the followers of Jesus are all part of the same family we should all bear the Father’s name just as the Son does. He is our example. The Scriptures say, the person who is joined to the Lord becomes one Spirit with Him. (1 Cor 6:17 NLT)

    5) “And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord and his name, the only name.” (Zechariah 14:9) This means: There are not two separate names for the Father and the Son now nor will there be in the Kingdom of God. There will be only one name in the earth, the name of the Lord.

    6) Some are preaching a different Jesus… (2Cor 11:4)

    7) “You will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.” (prophesied here in Psalm 118:26-27; partially fulfilled here in Matthew 21:9; and will be completely fulfilled here in Matt 23:39) when Jesus returns.

    8) “On judgment day many will tell me, ‘Lord, Lord we prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’” (Matthew 7:22) We are commanded by God to preach (prophesy), expel demons and perform miracles only in the name Jesus. (Matt 7:21-23; Mark 16:17-18) Nowhere in the Scriptures will you find believers performing these powerful works in any other name except the name Jesus! “Let me clearly state to you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed in the name and power of Jesus Christ from Nazareth, the man you crucified, but whom God raised from the dead. For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’
There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of Heaven for people to call on to save them.” (Acts 4:9-12)

    9) The name Jesus is the most powerful name in the universe. It is a strong tower, a fortress, and into it the righteous runs and is given protection. (Proverbs 18:10; Philippians 2:10)

    10) God gave His Son “a name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in Heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:10

These are just a few of the many reasons why the Father’s name is Jesus, the name He gave to His Son, who is “the visible image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15-18) in whom “all His fullness dwells”. (Colossians 1:19; 2:9)

God will make sure every knee bows at the name of Jesus!
    (Philippians 2:10)

    ——————————————————————————————

    TRINITY BUSTER

As for the Trinity teaching, that is a false doctrine since it contains lies
mixed with truth. (Matthew 16:16) The lie is that the Father and the Son are equal. They are not. Jesus makes that clear by saying, “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28) The truth is that the word Trinity simply means ‘triple’ or ‘three’ since the Father is the Head (1Cor 11:3) Jesus is His arm (Psalm 136:12) and the Holy Spirit is His hand. (John 10:28-30) So they are separate persons and unequal yet the Son and the Father are united as “one body” through the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:4-6) For “there is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to hope when you were called – one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4:4-6)

This explains what the Lord Jesus meant when He said, “the Father and I are one” (John 10:30) and what the Scripture means when it says, “The Lord our God is one.” (Duet 6:4; Mark 12:29). It is just as married couples are to be united as one (Matt 19:6) and as the followers of Jesus are to be united as one, the body of Christ. (John 17:22, 23; 1Cor 12:12-30) That uniting Spirit is love. (1John 4:8; Eph 4:4-6) All the fullness of God lives in Jesus (Col 2:9; Col 1:19) so the Father and the Son have the same mind, the same heart, and the same name. Couples who are united in love will share these same things and members of the Body of Christ who are united in love, as Jesus prayed for, (John 17:22, 23) will also share these same things. Thus all the fullness of God will dwell in them too. (Eph 3:18-19; 1Cor 2:16) But, like married couples and like members of the Body of Christ, the Father and the Son are not the same person nor are they equal in authority. They are separate and unequal but united as “one body” in the Holy Spirit (love). (Eph 4:4-6)

So the Trinity teaching is clearly a false teaching. Jesus makes that clear by saying, “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28)

Another decent sized “dormant” volcano is Mt. Pitt or Mount McLoughlin, at 9,495 feet, is the lowest in Oregon’s chain of six major Cascade Range volcanic peaks (the others are Mount Hood, Mount Jefferson, and the Three Sisters, all above 10,000 feet). Viewed from the northwest, Mount McLoughlin’s symmetrical shape is the dominant landmark of the Rogue River Valley. So, there are many more that could come back to life. We don’t know. Also, Northern Arizona has the San Francisco Peaks. That area had a lot of activity many years ago.
