Why Won’t Obama Ban Air Travel From Countries Where Ebola Is Out Of Control?

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Plane Landing - Public DomainWhy does Barack Obama refuse to take even the most basic steps to protect Americans from Ebola?  Even though it has already been demonstrated that Ebola can be brought over to the United States by a passenger on an airplane, Obama refuses to do anything that would even restrict air travel from nations where Ebola is spiraling out of control.  Back in September, Obama said that it was “unlikely” that any individual with Ebola could get through the “extensive screening” at our airports and pose a threat to the general population.  But he was wrong.  That has already happened.  And yet the official White House position is that there is “no consideration of a travel ban” at this point.  What possible explanation is there for such gross negligence?

All of this talk about “extensive screening” at our airports is just a smokescreen because it does not exist.  As Mike Adams of Natural News has pointed out, Thomas Eric Duncan walked freely through our airports and entered the general population without ever being asked by U.S. security personnel about where he was from or if he had any health conditions…

Ebola “patient zero” Thomas Eric Duncan flew right into the United States and walked through the international airports of both Washington D.C. and Dallas-Fort Worth. He was never asked about his country of origin and was never screened for any health conditions.

Why are people whose flights originate in Liberia and Sierra Leone still allowed to openly travel to large U.S. cities?

And nothing changed even after news broke of a confirmed case of Ebola in Dallas.  Just consider the following excerpt from a CNN news story that I included in a previous article

CNN Senior Medical Correspondent Elizabeth Cohen said when she and two colleagues recently returned from reporting in Liberia, they got a mixed bag of responses from Customs and Border Protection officers.

“We all said we were journalists who had just been in Liberia covering Ebola,” Cohen said. “One of my colleagues was told, ‘Oh, OK, welcome back home, sir’ — and (was) just let in — that was it.”

Cohen herself got a different response.

“I was told, ‘Wait a minute, I think I got an email about this,’ and the border patrol officer went and consulted with his colleagues,” Cohen said.

That officer later told her she should check her system for 21 days.

“I said, ‘What should I be checking?’ And he wasn’t sure,” Cohen said.

Barack Obama is either lying or he is being grossly negligent when he says that we don’t need to be concerned about air travel from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone because of how good the screening at our airports is.

When it comes to his primary fundamental duty, he is completely dropping the ball.  The following is from a recent Fox News opinion piece

The fundamental duty of the nation’s chief executive is to protect its citizens. Under Article II of the Constitution, he is duty-bound to respond to threats and to conduct the country’s foreign affairs. When a crisis presents itself, the president has nearly unfettered power and discretion to act. This includes protecting the health and safety of Americans. Does stopping the deadly spread of Ebola constitute such a crisis?

At this point, a whole host of lawmakers are calling for Obama to restrict air travel from West Africa.

And a petition on Whitehouse.gov to ban all incoming and outgoing flights has more than 10,000 signatures so far.

But the White House is not moving.

In fact, Press Secretary Josh Earnest says that there is “no consideration of a travel ban”…

There’s no consideration of a travel ban at this point.  But I can tell you that there is — well, let me explain.  There are a couple of good reasons for that.  The first is there is in place a very sophisticated, multilayered screening system in place to ensure that the traveling public is safe.

Those screening protocols begins at the point of departure; that in West Africa and these counties, under the supervision of international personnel, there are screening protocols in place to ensure that those individuals who are already exhibiting symptoms of Ebola don’t board aircraft.  This includes everything from a visual examination of passengers as they’re preparing to board aircraft, to giving them questionnaires that they have to fill out.  In other cases, it even involves taking the temperature of passengers before they board aircraft.  So there is screening protocol in place even before individuals enter the transportation system.

As with so many other things, it is hard to tell whether the Obama administration is lying, is being completely incompetent or is pursuing some sort of insidious agenda that we are now aware of yet.

Sadly, the CDC is actually backing Obama up on this.  Just check out what the head of the CDC said about a potential travel ban last week

Barring all incoming flights from Ebola-hit countries in West Africa might seem like the best way to prevent an outbreak of the virus in the United States, but doing so would actually hurt efforts to curb the outbreak in the long run, Tom Frieden, M.D., MPH, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said today (Oct. 2).

“If we take actions that seem like they may work, they may be the kind of solution to a complex problem that is quick, simple and wrong,” said Frieden in a press conference. “The approach of isolating a country is that it’s going to make it harder to get help into that country.”

Of course medical personnel that are fighting this disease should be allowed to fly in and out of those countries.

But why can’t we ban all non-essential personnel  from flying back and forth?

Meanwhile, the Obama administration also continues to be negligent in guarding our southern border.

We know that people from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone cross our border with Mexico illegally.  In fact, hundreds of such individuals from those countries were caught by border patrol agents during fiscal year 2013

Government figures indicate that 112 individuals were interdicted illegally crossing into the United States from Guinea, 231 from Liberia, and another 145 from Sierra Leone, the three Ebola hot spots. The period of these apprehensions was one in which we had a larger Border Patrol presence on the actual border than we do now.

And those are just the ones that we were able to apprehend.

The truth is that most of the people that cross our borders illegally we do not catch.

If Obama and his minions continue to refuse to take even the most basic steps to protect us, it is inevitable that more people with extremely deadly diseases such as Ebola will enter this country and circulate among the general population.

If our health system was ready to handle such diseases, that would be one thing.

Unfortunately, that is not the case.  In fact, one recent survey found that most nurses in the United States do not believe that their hospitals are ready to handle patients with Ebola…

A survey by National Nurses United of some 400 nurses in more than 200 hospitals in 25 states found that more than half (60 percent) said their hospital is not prepared to handle patients with Ebola, and more than 80 percent said their hospital has not communicated to them any policy regarding potential admission of patients infected by Ebola.

Another 30 percent said their hospital has insufficient supplies of eye protection and fluid-resistant gowns.

This Ebola outbreak has the potential to become the greatest health crisis that any of us have ever seen.

But Obama absolutely refuses to take even the most basic steps to keep us safe from this disease.

Why won’t Obama do something?

  • T.

The Obola administration does Nothing to screen for those people who are coming into this country from those countries affected by the Ebola virus and try and segregate them – The Obola administration does Nothing to secure the Southern border of this country against incoming Ebola infected people or any others. Conclusion: Ebola is Not a Threat to the Health of the American people at All. So, What is the problem here? Just because a couple thousand people in Africa have Died of Ebola – Why are the American people getting all worked up over this? Just move along America and go ahead with your Normal daily lives. The Obola Regime says, “Ebola is Not a Threat to the health of Americans – At All.” WOW

  • JS

He wants it here, period. He won’t use his executive action, phone and pen to ban the flights. But he has time for a pep talk to illegals and open border extremists saying that no force on earth can stop them. Entero 68 is already killing American kids.

  • K

Why won’t Obama do something? Three possibilities. 1. The people truly in charge, have told him not to act. Goal, to greatly reduce the population, and gain dictatorial power through martial law. 2. The people who are truly in charge, have told him not to act. Goal, to make many billions of dollars selling their new vaccine, after enough people get sick. 3.The senior members of the executive branch, have crossed the line into insanity. Take your pick.

    • Mike Smithy

      Perhaps all of the above.

      • Bill

Yes, another possibility. In any case this is rigged from the get go.

        • Ben Sutherland

Fifth possibility: Obama is a radical Muslim. Although he comes in peace, his overall goal is the destruction of America, through pestilence, economic collapse and ultimately, nuclear war with Russia. (Strangely it all lines up with the four horses in Rev 6).

    • Bill

      4. He’s been on the phone with Bill Gates.

    • Zoltar

Political Correctness is a form of insanity. O”Hole and his sycophants have a terminal case of it.

    • Orange Jean

I suspect all the above, plus the suggestions others have made about ushering in economic collapses, etc.

For proof of #1, look no further than John Holdren, Obama’s “science czar/adviser” who has been advocating for years extreme population control by whatever means possible. Holdrens’ previous suggestions included forced abortions and involuntary sterilization via the public water supply.

However, I think he thinks he’s the one in charge (I don’t agree… but his ego is as big as all outdoors).

    • Handog

I’m open to conspiracy theories however the answer may simply be the fact that Obama does not consider himself mearly the POTUS. He vainly sees himself as the worlds community organizer. Also, How can he fight for an open border and ban flights at the same time?

  • Imaplaneiac

Is the Ebola contamination of our nation the October Surprise that many have expected; to enable the Dictator-in-Chief to declare Marshal Law BEFORE November’s so-called ” elections “?!

  • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

    He doesn’t care.

    • T.

      Amen.

    • K2

It looks like that, but the thing people are trying to answer is why?

      • Mincing Rascal

Why would he? He wants whitey to die, he probably got the vaccine and he hates America. So of course he wants this!

  • TtT Engine

Open borders, open White House [except to legal visitors] and open travel to/from Ebola Africa. Secular Fascism is serious, dangerous, suicidal “mental disorder.” ? Thank you all [especially to you Judas catholics]who have voted/supported the destruction of the U.S.A. Christi Fidelis !

    • Captain Beefheart

You Prods will all lose your faith when ebola becomes your rapture. Either ebola or the fowls of the earth eat you alive. Hide in the rocks with your rewritten King James Bible.

      • hello

        Really feelin the love here.

    • 2guest2

      You are a certified lunatic!

  • Orac4Prez

I think Obama should go on a “meet and greet” with his senior staff In the Ebola affected areas of West Africa to show us how safe it is! You know, shake hands with the front line doctors and nurses to thank them on behalf of all those who elected him for their heroic efforts!

    • neal

I disagree, those medicos are already suffering enough without having to shake a hand that is covered in Reggie’s seed.

      • chris12138

        Lol you win.

Why won’t the gutless CONgress take charge?

Because they exist in name only.

  • Normal

Go on you tube and look for Peter Piot.
He is the man who discovered Ebola in 1976 and listen what he has to say about outbreak.

  • ian

one person has Ebola and everyone is freaking out. Paranoid much?

    • thefoolishone

I personally don’t think we’re freaking out enough. The media hype yes, but actual government response no.

    • neal

Just weeks ago the CDC stated that there was a 20% chance of Ebola in the US this year. Maybe this guy was a statistical anomaly, or maybe not.
You cannot guarantee anything by border restrictions, but just banning Nationals from certain African countries from entering the US until the disease has run its course in Africa would greatly reduce the risk. That wouldn’t destroy the travel movements of 99% of travellers (or the economic disaster that would result).
The only certainty is that the less restrictive the controls on high risk travellers the more likely that more Ebola carriers will arrive and Ebola becomes endemic in ghettos, flophouses, migrant worker camps and Detroit . Just like antibiotic resistant TB and other imported diseases.

    • Busted

      No, gay veteran, just cautious.

    • Radioactive Man

This blog is written and read by some of the most paranoid, delusional people you will ever run across.

      • Mincing Rascal

And you’re a font of sanity and rationality, I presume? You are here reading it along with those paranoid delusional people…or are you here to insult others to make yourself feel superior?

        • Radioactive Man

Yes, I am both sane and incredibly rational. And I haven’t insulted anyone, I’ve merely stated a pretty accurate observation of the state of the commentariat around here.

          • Mincing Rascal

            Don’t forget modest!

  • Joe Kleinkamp

If they take your temperature at the airport in Liberia it may be normal but. . . what if you were borderline at that time and during the course of the long flight you become full blown ebola and contagious. To simplify for the government officials — your temperature at the time of departure only means you’re leaving Liberia non contagious. By the time you land hours later you could be a biological weapon.

  • Bill

The idiot wants panic to spread faster than the so called disease. If the movement by parents to keep their children home spreads so will marshal law. If that happens before the Nov election guess what? There is method to madness.

  • Undecider

If you have ebola, you’ll be allowed to board. If you’re wearing a “9-11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB” t-shirt, you’ll be detained.

    • Orange Jean

Don’t forget… if you’re a little old lady in a wheelchair you’ll be stripped searched. But if you’re a Muslim woman from Somalia or some other hell hole in Africa completely covered with a black bad over your head, they’ll let you in without it out of respect for your “religion of peace”.

    • Imissthegooddays

      AMEN!!! Lol

  • Captain Beefheart

I was thrown out of JFK today. They said they wanted to take my temperature so I pulled down my drawers and pulled my fat cheeks apart to expose my harry axx hole. It was a sight to behold.

  • YH

Obama has not seen autopsies on Ebola corpses and watched as the semi-gelatinous liquid, that used to be internal organs, pours out of the incision onto the examination table. Either that, or he’s too busy setting up his next golf game. Either way, he could care less. He’s more interested in protecting the rights of foreigners that those of American citizens who have yet to be exposed to the pathogen. If we can’t impeach him on those grounds he will never be impeached. Ever.

  • jacob

I can’t believe how stupid are present in it I have a hard time believing that people you invited for this man the people work for them about as dumb as he is where we live trouble

  • jacob

we don’t have to worry about Ebola coming to America cuz we got good screening

    • Priszilla

      As proven on 9/11.

  • jacob

our president never lie to us he has good intentions cuz he loves us

  • MeMadMax

He hates the US… Plain and simple…

  • MeMadMax

I also believe that half the population of this country is suicidal, for various reasons ranging from drug induced to mental issues…

Resulting in the same for the country as a whole…

    • Mincing Rascal

It’s got to be more than half, I swear most of the people I see on a daily basis are living in a fantasy land. I really believe it’s TV and media that are doing it.

  • Priszilla

What for do you have a Parlament and government if only the president shall do anything?

  • peace angel

It is coming out on BIN that the guy was prompted by relatives here in the US to come here for treatment and that he KNEW he had Ebola before he boarded the plane to come here.

THEY are also reporting that he went to the hospital and the nurse who saw him had no clue he had Ebola and did not test him for it because the man had been warned by relatives NOT to say he might have it or NOT to say anything like he had been in Africa the week before and exposed to it.

THE clueless nurse gave him antibiotics and sent him home and that is how he infected so many more people including kids from four different schools. Parents are jerking their kids out of school in the infected ones mentioned and other schools.

People are finally finding out that if the White House, WHO, the CDC or NIH say it is black you better believe it is white. All these organizations have whistle blowers coming out of the woodwork to try to warn sleeping Americans that this is BIOWARFARE and NO ONE is telling the TRUTH about any of it.

    • K2

It came out of the bin that he told the nurse he is from liberia.

  • alan

I think we have more of a media hype problem than a real serious health problem. Last I heard maybe a couple cases in the US maybe. I would think we should see hundreds in Europe by now.
Things like this will show up more in the third world, like Africa, India, parts of Asia. There’s 4.2 million people in Liberia and 3500 have died in the whole region, doesn’t sound like much. Just say’n.

    • Firstgarden

      We hope you’re right, alan.

    • Sick and Tired of the criminal

You could be right however, it is very different when you pack several hundred people in an airplane which recirculates the breathed air, everyone shares the air, if anyone is infected all may be infected. Then these people deplane and mix with thousands of others at the airport, get on another plane….share the air maybe diseased air, etc. The math goes exponential.

    • chris12138

SO FAR, I agree with you. If we dont demand they step up their game and some changes take place, I wont agree for long.

  • Jodi

Ebola is getting in the way of Obama’s agenda on Amnesty. Closing the border and banning flights in and out of the hot zone is not a option for Obama.

    • Jodi

This is what Rush has been talking about. I bet he’s right. Obama is putting politics before protecting the American people.

      • Radioactive Man

Rush is full of it, the absolute worst of the sad steaming pile that is mass-market talk radio. He says what he says for ratings and get people riled up; the fact that you listen to him or believe in his “truths” is a testament to your lack of intelligence.

And no, I am not a Democrat or a liberal.

    • kenfrombayside

Obola’s number one agenda is to bring in a flood of third world who will dilute the vote of whites. What this really is a form of racial genocidel being waged us with impunity. On one side, there is a hostile black population committing sadistic crimes against for pleasure; on the other, there is an endless invasion of primitive, useless, low IQ mestizos will vote for socialist demRATS. Stopping travel from the motherland will Obola’s agenda. BTW, we already have enough unwanted blacks in our realm, do we need anymore?

  • Firstgarden

“When a crisis presents itself, the president has nearly unfettered power and discretion to act.”

Maybe that’s the idea. Let the crisis get BIG enough, then exercise nearly unfettered power.

  • Firstgarden

    It’s all Bush’s fault.

  • Richard O. Mann

They already have plans to declare marshal law when things get bad enough. That would disband Congress, suspend the Constitution, and give the Prez the power to control everything. This is pretty much what Obama has been working towards since he got in office. End of the US as we know it.

  • jakartaman

    The reasons are:
    1. the usa medical infrastructure can prevent any potential outbreak.
    2. if a ban was put in place it would cause extreme panic in the west african countries and make things much worst.
The refusal of travel ban is only for the benefit of Africa – not the USA.

  • DJohn1

    After November, it won’t matter.
That is when the Republicans get control of the Senate.
So, what happens if there is no election?
We are looking at about 30 days here.
In November we elect. In January, they take office. In February, we have impeachment? The Republicans think President Obama is the best campaign manager for Republican election out there. why would they want to get rid of him?
Or will it wait that long? There is a lawyer wanting to deport Obama. Why now? Because of a forged birth certificate and a false social security number, alleged until it goes to court nothing is resolved. But I think they have a case.
    The gig is up.
So use the Ebola plague as a means to disband Congress and declare martial law to contain the plague? Probably because that puts a smoke screen over everything . . .
If I wrote a novel with this as a plot, it would be rejected all over the place because it is so inconceivable that a man could rise to the Presidency without proper creditionals.
But that is exactly what I see here, and the Democrats are backing him? Seems a little bit out there to me.
That Republicans accepted his credentials without question when Romney was running for President?
    That Democrats everywhere did also?
Seems a little bit crazy to me.
Then the guy wants to open our Southern Borders to immigrants without qualifications? He has and all the baggage that comes with that decision is his.
History is stranger than fiction . . .
He has documented lies all over the place?
Well that sounds a lot like the father of lies. But again, most fiction writers would not tackle that one because no one would believe it.
I guess my question would be is Joe BIdden in on the whole thing or is he an innocent bystander that was placed where he is because he is unlikely to complain?
Because like it or not, he is one heart beat away from being the President of this Country. And after him, you have a Republican Speaker of the House. I think if I was Republican Speaker I would ignore the problem as well. I wouldn’t want to be landed with the job of President.
An Ebola problem might be their answer to the entire situation of the President falling in a court of law.
Joe Bidden, Vice President of the country, might be the next President if everything goes down as I have described. He is far from perfect with a background record that could be dug up. But he is innocent enough that he might be the Democratic candidate in 2016.
    If there is an election.
I think it is time that both parties revise the way they pick candidates. But an Ebola epidemic might just resolve that issue all by itself.
Because the survivors will pick their leaders from whomever is left.

    • Radioactive Man

Why the hell would you want Republicans in office? They are just as evil as Democrats. We need to run ALL of those MFers out of town… ALL of them

      • DJohn1

The only practical solution is to change the voting rules so that Republicans and Democrats do not have an unfair advantage at the election booth. Until that happens you have a choice between Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb. Right now we have Tweedle Dumb. But Tweedle Dee is reluctant to take the reins of government offered to them.

  • Marridge

At what point are other countries going to ban travelers from the US?

  • tweemb

newsflash; in Kampala oeganda a man died of the marburgvirus, related to ebola, but a different disease.
what is happening there that these viruses pop up?

    • tweemb

80 people who had contact with him are placed in quarantine.

  • DJohn1

In researching the subject of Obama’s social security number and possible forged Hawaiian Birth Certificate the courts have systematically denied any action.
Most court cases have been dismissed with no comment from the court as to how or why that was the case.
The most significant legal action has been dismissed because it was not brought about by the candidate opposing Obama as near as I can tell.
The implication being that ordinary citizens have no right to question his qualifications for office.
This has been a uniform decision of the courts no matter where that qualification action was taken.

It will be interesting to follow a significant lawyer taking such action in a court. Because as near as I can see, the courts have universally protected President Obama from any action to remove him from office.
It is sort of like actions taken to remove IRS law from the country. The courts uniformally rule against people in that case also. The rancher case comes to mind that has exposed the manipulations of high ranking officials against ranchers in the southwest.
Several lawyers have been fined huge sums of money in the pursuit of disqualifying Obama from office by the courts.
So the only one that could file suit against Obama would be Romney if I read these rulings correctly.

    • james hidden

What about ebola on a cruise with thousands of people packed together?

      • DJohn1

That would be especially tricky because of seasickness.
The Ship’s Doctor would be hard pressed to tell the difference until it was too late to help anyone.

The ship itself would not be allowed to come into port.
The disease itself would be transmitted by Stewards and Stewardesses as they took care of the sick people in their cabins.
Something like this happened years ago and the owners were fined heavily and this was just a flu virus that refused to be gotten rid of. Several loads of passengers later, they finally took the ship off the cruise list and went over it with disinfectants. Even so, it was difficult to get rid of on the closed ecology of a ship.

Does it really matter what we do? Unless the countries affected by this close *their* borders and airports it doesn’t matter; someone flies from Liberia to Greece, Greece to England, England to NY… and there you go.

Gotta stop this at the source, not the destination.

  • Nick

Democrats have truly lost their minds. How they can continue to support this man is beyond me.

  • sharonsj

I heard there are no direct flights from Africa to America. People traveling from Africa go to Europe first–so how do you get Europe to screen for Ebola before travelers get on a plane to the U.S.?

And in the U.S. it’s probably not legal to test everybody before they get off a plane here because of our health laws–though those laws might be suspended during a plague (would be nice if someone bothered to find out the rules). Plus, it can take up to 21 days for Ebola to manifest, so are you going to pay to quarantine millions of travelers while you wait?

Does anyone else think it is strange that they are sending potential ebola cases in the US to many different states, rather then have them all in one centralized location in only one state? Seems it would be easier to manage and monitor that way.

  • ExtremePacifist

The Ebola virus has traveled to the USA.
One man traveled from Liberia then back to Texas, has tested positive for the deadly Ebola virus.
The PIPs, Psychopaths In Power, have not only allowed this deadly virus to travel freely all over the world, they have stood down in their attack against this world wide threat.
Just like 9-11, certain people either look the other way, or allow people to proceed through safeguards and security points, or they outright help those people and take part in the event.
Just like the banking crisis of 2008, they allow one major bank collapse, through deregulation and risky investments and careless loan practices, then scream that the whole system will collapse without immediate action to save the “too big to fail” banking institutions, and billions of taxpayer’s dollars are handed over to a few rich banksters.
In this instance, those who’s job it is to isolate and control people’s movement and protect all other people from this deadly virus, simply react slowly or not at all, like moving out of the way or looking the other way, thereby allowing the problem to take on a life of its own.
This is how they use the “incompetence” defense, when they want to create any mass crisis, from terror attacks, to economic crisis and bank collapses, to deadly virus outbreaks.
They will explain it as human error and lack of security and control. Then after the event turns into a major catastrophe, they will implement their solution, more control, more laws, more security in the homeland, tighter restrictions, and in selected areas; martial law and quarantined cities.
    It’s called the Hegelian Dialectic:
    Problem, Reaction, Solution.

“As with so many other things, it is hard to tell whether the Obama administration is lying, is being completely incompetent or is pursuing some sort of insidious agenda that we are now aware of yet.”

We don’t know!! This quote from your article has been my concern and so many others I know in the past 6 years. The thing is, I believe all three are true. But what I have feared most about Obama, is that he just hates Americans! He hates the founding fathers and Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc.

I do believe other people are making his decisions also. Obama is a puppet. Other people are running the show.(president vallarie for one) He was put in by the liberals to destroy America as we know it, and they have been doing a pretty good job at that. This is payback for slavery, and white people taking this country over from indians and mexicans.

    I also agree with “K” comment # 1 especially.

  • robert burns

Mr. Obama is governing how I would expect a black man to govern, or at least 95% of them. If you look at any government entity with a black male in charge, then you generally see disaster. The idea is to live large, look rich, swagger and never accomplish anything. Party hearty with the beautiful people from CA. The reason he is not stopping direct flights from Africa is that the area is populated by blacks. His roots. Scream racism or any other invective if you will, but I have observed this behavior among black men for over 6 decades and I have had a good observation point. Grown up men like Thomas Sowell, Ben Carson, Colin Powell, Tony Dungee have no chance in politics because they are “too white” and too classy. Americans elected an affirmative action man and they are getting what they elected. Glitz, noise, jive talk, racism, lots of bling, bling and golf, and for the wife expensive, taxpayer paid trips abroad. The man has no class and his intellect is way too small for the job he has. Do not expect leadership of any sort and do not expect an effective response from the executive branch or any other branch of government for that matter. And a government that cannot protect the number 1 address in the country, aka 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, will hardly be able or willing to protect the borders of the nation.

The fact that Robert Burns has 3 likes to this moronic comment, just goes to show you that if you knew the innermost thoughts and feelings of people (strangers and those you know and love) you may just go headed for the hills and stay there alone forever.

      • robert burns

With respect, if the truth were known, and it won’t be, the vast majority of white people and hispanics no doubt would agree with my assessment. It is an awful thing to contemplate but you hit the key item which is innermost thoughts. Moronic for you but the truth for most. You, I think, are one of these who actively ignore facts and the actions of the black part of our society. The other truth is, blacks did not arrive at their condition and philosophies without a lot of help from white people over the centuries. It is the “face slapped never forgets”. Unfortunately, Mr. Obama represents the low side of black males whereas the black men I cited as capable are on the high side. The high siders will never be able to lead from the White House because they are not accepted in their own racial realm. Thank you for your invective. No surprise.

        • hendrik1730 .

I agree. I also have spent a lot of time in “black” populated area’s, and a friend of mine confirmed my own observations : one can drag a black man out of the bush, but you will never get the bush out of a black man. And talking about racism : everyone agrees that there are a lot of different races of cows, dogs, … with each of them exhibiting specific strong and weak points. But, oh man, just dare to suggest there might be something about differences between human races … one gets burned at the politically correct stake.

        • Don’t follow The Sheep

          Hello Robert,
I am black and I am humbly asking you to listen to me concerning what you said about black people being incapable of running for any high office.

I am agreeing with you in part concerning your observations of black people in office, as what you said is mostly true.

However, I would humbly ask you to consider a few overlooked things: Now my answer to you is going to be a little complicated but brief.

To what you said, these are the few unobservable things:

          1. Having money and moving up to the middle classes is a relatively new experience for Afro-Slave descendents, due to the known scourges of centuries of repression and abuse through slavery. Therefore, their behavior reflects the counter productive desire to get money and security quickly, thus leaving them open to covetousness and corruption.

          2. We should not forget J. Edgar Hoover’s covert initiative to introduce drugs to Afro-Slave descendents – which was inherently successful in creating a large dysfunctional, black under class who have no interest in self improvement or education.

          3. A lot of the prominent blacks we know of in the US and a lot in senior positions in the Caribbean Islands are high ranking Freemasons, so they have gotten there by doing exactly what they are told to do, perhaps with a little help with an under-the-table briefcase incentive or two.

          4. We should not forget that in many instances, black people are moved into senior positions in predominant, white elite companies and corporations very fast, so that they can be used as
the “fall guy,” so that these monopoly’s, businesses and financial institutions can cover many of their undeclared operating problems and losses.

Please do not forget the recent prosecutions of young graduated blacks, over the last few years who found themselves elevated to high powered positions – without having any experience.

So, you are perfectly correct in what you have observed and said, it is just that there are a few, additional things which are not so easily observed or considered.

Read Robert Burn’s comment carefully. When I first glanced at it, I thought it was racist. But when read it in its entirety, I realized that his comment was not a bit chauvinistic or hateful; rather he reflects a very painful and hard-to-swallow reality.

        • Imissthegooddays

WONDERFULLY, and PERFECTLY SAID! I COULDN’T AGREE MORE …AND NEITHER WOULD MOST PEOPLE I’VE EVER MET!!! (Even though most are just too afraid to actually say it out loud.) It really is a horrible, terrible shame what “We The People” have allowed, and our continuing to allow to happen, in this country 1st, and then trickling down to other countries that we have command over! TRAGEDY, that’s all that can be said!!!

      • just sayin

Yeah i know right, how dare he speak what should be obvious by now !! Just look at any city where they live, paradise right, oh wait that’s our fault right ? I also think there may be another reason he wont stop travel from those countries, i think that if they start to screen for ebola they will identify people with other diseases and that would seriously curtail the flow of the third world invasion designed to flood the country with anti white democrats. Just a thought !

      • Mincing Rascal

Aww, someone with little to no experience with blacks! How quaint.

    • Sara Zipporah

Yes, Robert, no disasters with great non-black leaders such as Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and the rest. All men of ‘class’, as you put it.

      • Imissthegooddays

You’re talking about sociopaths, not great men! Most of whom took their titles by force ..Not elected in, by a what is supposed to be a modern-nation of well educated, intelligent and open-minded people! And none of them are “Fondly Remembered” either…Just as Obama will not be!! If you can’t see the secret powers at work with him being put into that office TWICE, without doing one, single thing good or right in his 1st term, then there really is just no hope for you. And, I really am not trying to be nasty. Nor do I wish to just get “online” and simply argue with my fellow humans (Because, like it or not, we humans are all in this life together). But, I just hope people will wake up. Because I don’t want to admit that anyone in my species could be that ignorant, or blind. And btw, I’m not white, myself…So it can’t be racist, right?! Although, I will add, that I don’t think it’s as simple as boiling it down to just his race. Because there are many different races of people backing him up, and in his cabinet and his administration, etc…Including a lot of whites! An idiot is an idiot, no matter what his background or ethnicity is! And I just cannot believe that in 2014, there is ANYONE left, that refuses to see that he does not belong in that position! I mean, how many more movies can he appear in, while the world is falling apart around him, for people to have had enough?! If anything, they should move him to Hollywood, and just let him “play” The President, in all movies. Like a designated role. Then he can party, and vacation and play politics, just like he does now…But he won’t be ruining the world, and people’s lives while he’s doing it…So everyone wins!! =]

  • Orange Jean

    K,
I’d seen something about that a while back (on before it’s news)… and just now I checked the link a few times… doesn’t seem to work anymore. Could you see if you can get to it? I get a message that it’s not found on the server, although I can see the address in the URL line. Maybe the powers that be removed it… or it’s my stupid computer connection (dial-up… all I can get out here).

  • Tatiana Covington

One obvious answer is that he deliberately trying to destroy this country, and Ebola is his weapon of choice.

This blog is fear mongering sales scam lol

    • Radioactive Man

Has been since day one, as are all of his other blogs. But I think he sells a crapton of books, so it must be working.

  • Orange Jean

OK that worked, thanks! Now if you could explain why you think developing a vaccine that includes multiple viruses is something you see as a risk? They wouldn’t be using a live virus in those.

It also sounds similar to combining the DPT (diptheria-pertussis-tetanus) or MMR (measles-mumps-rubella) vaccines. Didn’t increase those diseases… decreased them.

And personally… I live in a place where I’m a much higher risk of getting exposed to rabies than Ebola. Lots of animals here have rabies, it’s a real problem in raccoons for example, and scares me a lot because we have a lot of raccoons, foxes, etc. that get it. It’s nerve wracking enough that locally we don’t use the word “rabies” when we see an animal who looks like they might have it… we call it “sick”… and one of the guys goes out and shoots the thing. We’ve not had too many on the farm (a small community, about 12 people and lots of animals)… but they’ve had to shoot a “sick” lynx or bobcat and one raccoon in the past few years.

    • K

It is the timing of a sole source license. Compared to an out break 5 months later. So I smell a major profit motive, to let this virus spread.

  • Grim Fandango

If citizens contract Ebola from air travel passengers originating from known infectious areas, and just one of those infected citizens dies, Obama is guilty of negligent homicide.

Any grade school kid would know to block people from highly infected countries from entering our nation. And Obama knows too. What his insane agenda is no longer matters, removing him from his powerful position is the most important and immediate necessity.

  • Jim

Why does Barack Obama refuse to take even the most basic steps to protect Americans from Ebola?

ANSWER: Because the people that actually control what he really does have not given him the charge to do such a thing. He does NOTHING without permission. PERIOD.

But the point is mute. EBOLA is here.

  • Kyle

You forgot #5. The impending global ebola pandemic will take peoples attention away from the WWIII scenario playing out right now.

  • Knee grow Oblama

Kenyan King Obongo may go to jail if he fails to secure the US against a deadly disease like Ebola.

  • Joe Lizak

Why O’bola won’t do anything? Could it be old fashion greed? The airlines would lose money? Remember when all airlines were grounded on 9-11? Remember they all got billions in bailout money because they stopped flying for just a few days, and their stock went down. It’s a possibility.

  • Joe Lizak

It’s strange …out of all the African countries to have Ebola, Kenya is not on the list. Can anyone guess why not?

    • Ardit Spahija

      Why ?

  • Beth Raynor

Laughing at the idea that a questioning or questionnaire represents “extensive multi-level screening” – who is going to say “yes I was exposed” when they know that answer will keep them from boarding their international flight? Why don’t we also just ask people to fill out a form stating whether or not they are carrying weapons, drugs, or explosives? On the other hand I think we need to be careful not to throw civil liberties out the window simply due to fear (that’s exactly what the fear-mongers want). Even in W Africa, Ebola is statistically far less significant than TB. Fascinating issue though in terms of what different people think we (or the government) should and shouldn’t do to “protect” us.

  • Undecider

You can’t properly make command decisions from the golf course.

  • walleryia

We should know by now that with this administration, we are on our own. The gov does not care. You would think by their actions, this is intentional- I believe it is.
I find the actions, or lack thereof of this administration beyond deplorable as well as contempt for the citizens welfare and rights to be guarded against such attacks. But by golly, when has this gov obeyed any law in the past few years or shown any real concern for the public, other than to stand up to a podium and tell you how much they care while their noses grow to extraordinary lengths.
These liars and corrupt and poor excuses for human beings do not care.
If you are smart or the wiser, take action to protect yourself on your own accord because no one else is going to.

Ban travel ? Try carpet bomb their airports , that sure as frack will gurantee there is no air travel. WHo gives a crap about a congress of jabbering baboonish pikeys at the united nations and them voting us for censure. A united nations censor is about as serious as a time out for a three year old who takes cookies.
Take matters into our own hands too defend ourselves from a grisly pandemic die off event

  • Violator

Because the secret watchers and listeners know of your displeasure with them. To them we are the enemy, why would they do something to save us? The mountain of lies these people have told has a peak that reaches the farthest galaxy. They have already saved themselves. If they hadn’t, they would have done all of the things you think they should have done to stop this. “There are no evil powers, just powers used for evil.”

    Typical problem-reaction-solution scenario

    The problem.
Ebola was enhanced in war biolabs, unleased in Africa, and it must spread to other continents, if not all continents.

    The reaction/response
Meanwhile nations’ presidents do nothing (according to script) to prevent intercontinental ebola outbreak so the people will be p*ssed to say the least. No ban on air travel is part of the premeditated problem/reaction.

    The solution
After a while more international authority (such as the power to order everyone to stay home, and undergo vaccination) will be transferred to GLOBAL organisations such as the UN or the WHO.

  • craigdc

Obama is playing golf and going on vacation folks. The people who finance the elections are running the country and all they care about is increasing their wealth. So don’t expect much either from the White House or the banks, they are protecting their own interests and as far as they are concerned, well the rest of us can go fly a kite.

  • robertsgt40

That’s an easy question. Because Obama and TPTB want Ebola to spread. Population reduction(agenda 21) while making a killing in Pharma market. when it gets to be a big enough problem, usher in medical martial law.

  • Mike Smithy

I am sure you meant to say the Barack Obama’s and the Hollywood swells of the world have the vaccine for themselves. So there, I am glad I could fix it for you.

  • Rick1213

On Drudge Report today, Gen. Kelley, (head of U.S. Southern Command), said if Ebola reaches Central America it will trigger a mass exodus of people to the United States.
Whether it’s to escape the virus or to get better treatment if they already have it, they will pour across the border.

  • Ross Busby

“He is either lying or…” If Barrack Obama’s mouth is open, he is either lying or eating.

He is only there for either the benefits or to take down this evil country, as evidenced by nearly all of his actions and by his inactions, such as not attending 58% of his security briefings in a time like this.

The problem is that there are enough ignorant Americans in this country to vote for another ideologue, merely because she is a woman, or because they promise freebies, or for whatever illogical reason that their party presents them. Get ready for the next round because, unless we rally to rid ourselves of these criminals, we are doomed.

  • Stupid Morons

Yes because you are such a wonderful virologist, or epidemiologist.
    NA!
Have you even taken one course in epidemiology or virology?
NO? Then stop pretending you know what is going on.

  • nekksys

The scenario I’m about to portray is definitely a possibility unless the airports are locked down against ANYONE traveling from the Ebola and Marburg virus laden areas. This is only one possible scenario which could create a national epidemic of these diseases.

    1) Immediately before going to the airport, a group of terrorists willingly infect themselves with Ebola / Marburg knowing this to be fatal. They are, as would be expected, asymptomatic upon arrival at the airport.

    2) This group then flies thru Europe then on to the US, swapping out passports on arrival in the EU in order to show they did not originate in West Africa or Uganda upon arrival in the US. Their travel papers show no potential exposure and they are, as yet, asymptomatic. Admission granted…

I don’t think I need to give any more detail to show just how quickly this could go down the toilet. There is one sector of society which is extremely vulnerable to this kind of attack and the chance of those in that sector seeking medical help is near ZERO. The terrorists would gain an impressive infection rate simply by going after this sector first and this same sector would in turn infect many many others without anyone suspecting.

One thing is for certain and you can trust me on this, folks: if I’ve considered this as a possible scenario to infect as many as possible, you can bet the terrorists have as well.

It’s time to seal our borders.

  • rschiel50

Can’t Congress institute a travel ban if they get a majority vote on this?

  • Robert.

There seems to be a lot of complacency here, the authorities are saying it’s difficult to catch and that that it cannot be transmitted through the air and that it must be through body fluid contact, fair enough but remember the aids epidemic, if a symptomatic person transmitted this virus infection like what happened in the early 80s with the gay community it would have huge ramifications, and if it mutated with the aids virus who knows what it could unleash, in reality people would be to scarred to fly on aircraft and it would have the potential to destroy economic confidence ie the stock markets.

  • Bill

This one is easy. I bet Obama would not hesitate to ban travel to and from Israel if that country was the source of the disease. Than again Israel would put in place appropriate
    Measures to stop the spread

  • Brian Trachuk

isn’t it ironic that conservatives, who otherwise condemn big government intervention, are calling so loudly for a travel ban now that Fox News and other media outlets are amping up fear(like always)? There is a simple reason Obama won’t ban flights; it won’t work to stop spread of virus. First off, there’s already been a de-facto flight ban for 2 months as all commercial airlines have stopped flying to West Africa for fear of exposing flight crews. Also, just banning flights to and from there wouldn’t be enough, you’d have to ban all flights from countries that don’t have restrictions too, like in Europe and Asia. Also, since most of the aide going to West Africa is from private organizations like the red cross, which rely on commercial airlines, a ban would make it a lot harder for those infected to get treatment. Conservatives should just stick to being anti-big government and leave decisions like this to people who actually know what they’re talking about..
