9 Ominous Signals Coming From The Financial Markets That We Have Not Seen In Years

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Ominous Storm Clouds Gathering - Public DomainIs the stock market about to crash?  Hopefully not, and there definitely have been quite a few “false alarms” over the past few years.  But without a doubt we have been living through one of the greatest financial bubbles in U.S. history, and the markets are absolutely primed for a full-blown crash.  That doesn’t mean that one will happen now, but we are starting to see some ominous things happen in the financial world that we have not seen happen in a very long time.  So many of the same patterns that we witnessed just prior to the bursting of the dotcom bubble and just prior to the 2008 financial crisis are repeating themselves again.  Hopefully we still have at least a little bit more time before stocks completely crash, because when this market does implode it is going to be a doozy.

The following are 9 ominous signals coming from the financial markets that we have not seen in years…

#1 By the time the markets closed on Monday, we had witnessed the biggest three day decline for U.S. stocks since 2011.

#2 On Monday, the S&P 500 moved below its 200 day moving average for the first time in about two years.  The last time this happened after such an extended streak of success, the S&P 500 ended up declining by a total of 22 percent.

#3 This week the put-call ratio actually moved higher than it was at any point during the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2008.  This is an indication that there is a tremendous amount of fear on Wall Street right now.

#4 Everybody is watching the VIX at the moment.  According to the Economic Policy Journal, the VIX has now risen to the highest level that it has been since the heart of the European debt crisis.  This is another indicator that there is extraordinary fear on Wall Street…

US stock market volatility has jumped to the highest since the eurozone debt crisis, according to a closely watched index, the the CBOE Vix index of implied US share price volatility.

It jumped to 24.6 late on Monday and is up again this morning. On Thursday, it was as low as 15.

That’s a very strong move, but things have been much worse. At height of the recent financial crisis – the Vix index peaked at 80.1 in November 2008.

Could we get there again? Yeah.

#5 The price of oil is crashing.  This also happened in 2008 just before the financial crisis erupted.  At this point, the price of oil is now the lowest that it has been in more than two years.

#6 As Chris Kimble has pointed out, the chart for the Dow has formed a “Doji Star topping pattern”.  We also saw this happen in 2007.  Could this be an indication that we are on the verge of another stock market crash similar to what happened in 2008?

#7 Canadian stocks are actually doing even worse than U.S. stocks.  At this point, Canadian stocks have already dropped more than 10 percent from the peak of the market.

#8 European stocks have also had a very rough month.  For example, German stocks have already dropped about 10 percent since July, and there are growing concerns about the overall health of the German economy.

#9 The wealthy are hoarding cash and precious metals right now.  In fact, one British news report stated that sales of gold bars to wealthy customers are up 243 percent so far this year.

So what comes next?

Some experts are saying that this is the perfect time to buy stocks at value prices.  For example, USA Today published a story with the following headline on Tuesday: “Time to ‘buy’ the fear? One Wall Street pro says yes“.

Other experts, however, believe that this could represent a major turning point for the financial markets.

Just consider what Abigail Doolittle recently told CNBC

Technical strategist Abigail Doolittle is holding tight to her prediction of market doom ahead, asserting that a recent move in Wall Street’s fear gauge is signaling the way.

Doolittle, founder of Peak Theories Research, has made headlines lately suggesting a market correction worse than anyone thinks is ahead. The long-term possibility, she has said, is a 60 percent collapse for the S&P 500.

In early August, Doolittle was warning both of a looming “super spike” in the CBOE Volatility Index as well as a “death cross” in the 10-year Treasury note. The former referenced a sharp move higher in the “VIX,” while the latter used Wall Street lingo for an event that already occurred in which the fixed income benchmark saw its 50-day moving average cross below its 200-day trend line.

Both, she said, served as indicators for trouble ahead.

So what do you think?

Are we about to witness a stock market crash and another major financial crisis?

Or is this just another “false alarm” that will soon fade?

Please feel free to share what you think by posting a comment below…

Hard to tell when leadership can’t tell the truth.

    • watchmanonthetower

Something can be accurate, but not true.

Team Barry has elevated this axiom to a sharp and effective weapon in the campaign to divide and conquer America; one has only to witness our country’s current deteriorating condition to assess the truth – and concurrent accuracy – of that statement, and our present reality.

      Prepare…or perish.

It’s impossible to predict rigged markets.

    • Lt

Yes, it is impossible to make “short term” predictions in todays markets.

    • seth datta

I feel like everyone is waiting for a big event, when things are falling apart piece by piece until there is nothing left. An economic collapse nowadays is when a life-changing hospital bill comes through and the recipient cannot pay it off. Or find employment in an economy that will never have enough jobs ever again. The ‘organisers’ play the game where they distract with one hand and then swipe your wallet with the other. And in every western nation, trying to be self sufficient is frowned on by the government (i.e. banker shills). I mean, how can they control you if you don’t need them? But make no mistake, the economic collapse will be piecemeal until it reaches completion over the next 10-20 (maximum) years. Society in many ways has already collapsed.

We’re seeing a re-run of the tower of babylon as multiculturalism and atheism prevails. All against God of course. But it is global – we have a one-world currency for oil in dollars – hence the wars in the middle east, as certain dictators had to be removed because they planned to price their oil in another currency. All nations have been subverted by this global economy to a lesser or greater extent.

But how and when does this end? Isaac Newton said 2060 as one of his dates. The tribulation could be 70 years instead of 7, or some other time period. I do believe we passed the midpoint. I thought I’d share a few interesting facts as I have studied 5 different religions:

      (1) Christianity and other religions may be descended from Ancient Egypt and a line of God that came from things before that. In egypt, the high God who created all was named ‘Amen’. He took up place in heaven after being bitten by a snake, and he gave power of the air over to Horus, who is often worshipped as Satan. But Amen rules over all.

      (2) Muslims also believe in Christ. They also believe in the end-time where Christ will return.

      (3) Hindus also believe that God will return on a winged horse, same as Christianity. They call this being Kalki, the ‘machine-man’.

      (4) The mark of the beast around 570BC was a medallion with a magic square where all the numbers added up to 666. Apparently the European union has used a system similar to this to identify all global citizens. In any case the old mark had a six pointed star on the reverse side, printed three times.

      (5) The Hopi indians believe that if we do not turn back to the land and continue with our worship of technology, that the human race will be destroyed when God returns in this age.

      (6) The big secret of the rulers is that they wish to destroy the human race by merging the descendants of Shem (asians/east indians) with Japeth (europeans) and Ham/Canaan. Through this they will once again rule over all as was the case during Babel. This is why western countries are overrun with immigration in contrast to other places, for they are the locus of the babylonian financial swindling(aka banking).

      • Old Cop

I agree with your post, look at Detroit, or for that matter my hometown where the lumber mill closed…Some folks are waiting for a Mad Max scenario to go down, but it looks more like the death of 10,000 cuts to me…The economic collapse has already happened, the money printing press has just postponed the wailing and gnashing of teeth.

      One thing can be predicted.

The 7 years cycle, the rigged market goes down every 7 years.

        Obscure 40K reference?

    • randyfreedom

      Yes, don’t predict – prepare.

  • DesertPaine

Two great articles in two days. Thx, Michael.

    • seth datta

There should be another article on the mark of the beast. The mark in the forehead is a global identification system that is tailor made to psychologically condition the recipient to obeying the prompts. This is what NSA spying and data interception is about – for better citizen control by psychoanalysis of your data. This issue is not addressed enough. This is what I know the mark to be. Brainwashing on a personal level, so to speak.

The mark in the hand already exists and is the global economy. There is no need for a speculated one world economy as the dollar being the reserve currency for oil and the world has already established a one world currency.

Remember, the mark ‘is forced upon all’ but just because it is forced does not mean that you cannot choose to REJECT it.

      • GSOB

      • WVBORN56

My Bible tells me those in Christ will be long gone when the mark of the beast is required! We are simply witnessing the build up to the 7 year tribulation. “When you begin to see these things take place, look up, your redemption is drawing near”

        • Econocobas

you can come up with about as many scriptures that would elude to an post trib rapture as a pre-trib.. I think a lot of “end time prophesy” is shrouded in mystery that can only be reveal as we live through it.. I’m not saying your wrong but what I am saying is you might not be right.. What is better to prepare mentally, emotionally, spiritually (New testament plan on salvation read the book of Acts, the only book in the NT actually dealing with the early church and the plan of salvation i.e. Acts 2 in particular it is laid out) OR be sold out that you won’t go through the tribulation and really start to question your faith in everything at that point since you whole heartily believed something that really isn’t solid doctrine.. Again I’m not saying your wrong I’m just saying your dealing with a historically misunderstood topic… ans the blow to your faith if it turns out you were wrong could be disastrous ..

  • CharlesH

I haven’t a clue what’s going to happen. I do read several very well read financial websites and I do know that there are a LOT of very nervous investors out there – which in turn, makes me nervous as to where all of this is heading. Thanks for another great article.

I agree. Much more concerned about the Dollar Collapsing. Food prices are already going through the roof. It will get ugly.

      • danbax

What would happen in a dollar collapse?

        • Reb49

Society Collapse. Life as you know it will come to an abrupt end.

          • danbax

I guess that is what they are getting us ready for with all of the movies, TV shows, and video games with the survival end times aspect as a subject matter

Not much, just have to switch to silver for trade. There would be some disruptions. Military might take over.

    • neal

How could the 2008 crash not have any effect on you? If you had savings then the crash caused you to earn less interest on your savings; if you had a job then the crash put downward pressure on wage growth and if you were self employed then the crash had to cut your earnings as your customers had been hurt.

  • I still stand by my prediction that it’s gonna be this week. If not this week, then one day during this October month.

All it takes is a trigger. (1) It could be #Ebola2 spreading in the USA. (2) Or it could be ISIS attacking and overtaking Baghdad. (3) Or the financial “simulations” that the US and UK are doing on Too-Big-To-Fail Mega Banks right now. (4) Or a shooting war between the Koreas or between Pakistan and India.

    • Guest

What will be this week? The start of the next crisis?

      • The Great Stock Market Crash of Great Depression 2 or GD2.

    • danbax

I don’t know. The daily chart shows a sell signal while on the weekly chart it’s on the bottom of the uptrend line. A close and fall below that and I know there it goes!

      • We have long ago moved beyond technical trading into market manipulation to the nth degree. That is why chart analysis don’t work anymore. We are in the era of Central Banksters propping up stock markets and manipulating just about everything else, most especially the price of gold and silver. The high frequency trading algorithms and computer programs also factor into this “new era of trading”.

        • Priszilla

Chart analysis is as rubbish as basing decisions on astrology and crystal balls.
Chart analysis might work if you tell everybody to buy when it points up and then sell. And vice versa. When more people try anticyclic trading your own strategy might misfire.

That is what I believe to David, by the end of the month

    • skeptic

so when we are all still here on 1 Nov…then what? Next prediction?

      • seth datta

2025-2030 for the global markets to crash. National sovereignty has already ended. 2030-2060 many wars and internal conflicts. Around then end of US, other Anglo nations. Towards the end, UK destroyed. End of Israel too, as Israel is a spiritual people. Some of those people are part of that group. End times conclusion sometime after 2060.

For those people believing in the 7 year time frame, there is an asteroid making a pass in 2029 scheduled to return in 2036. The gravitational pull and subsequent possible collision could be it. In addition, we are experiencing some kind of pole shift – a complete reversal may be on the cards, which we have not been told of (conveniently).

          • seth datta

You misunderstand me. Israel is a spiritual people of all colours and creeds, currently present worldwide. Not a piece of land occupied by some labelled ‘chosen people’. Although some of them may be of God.

          • Shlomo Shekelberg

            Oy Veeeeeeeeeey!

          • WVBORN56

It is pretty clear to Christians that God gave them that land. It was an unconditional eternal promise. We are in the throws of the birth pains Jesus told us would proceed his return for the church. At that point it will be all about Israel turning to Jesus as their blinders are removed.

          • Gay Veteran

          • Gay Veteran

  • Rufus T Firefly

The time to buy is when there is blood in the streets. that’s how 1% like me operate…we don’t give into fear

    • seth datta

Uh, if there’s blood in the street then the economy (which was anti-God anyways, these days) has ended. Buying isn’t going to help fend off looters and the government thugs in an economy that will not restart. The economy is now based on false principles and when it resets we will be left to stew in our own juices as they put into place their final plans. There will be nothing left to buy.

    • randyfreedom

There was blood in the streets at the lows FOLLOWING the 2008 crash – not at it’s start of the decline. The 1% also know that REAL wealth is in tangible assets, not worthless paper. Yes, buy all you can when there is blood in the streets – but pay yourself nicely by SHORTING this market while you wait for the crash to finish its destruction.

  • FortuneSeek3rz

I’m just glad to be living in the U.S. of A. Still the greatest economy in the world and while there may be some financial setbacks, it’s still the greatest place to live, work and play. For reference see: Syria, North Korea, Venezuela, Iraq, Columbia, Sudan, Mexico, Libya, Central African Republic, Ukraine, etc. Those are REAL hell holes.

    • horse777res

The U.S might have a great economy, but it is a IMMORAL HELL HOLE.

      • seth datta

True, but cannot just single them out. I used to be guilty of this. US, UK, all the other anglo nations, europe and even Russia are ALL the most guilty. We just like to blame the US, but this is perhaps in hindsight, unfair. They provide the military might, but the degeneracy is present in ALL western nations, so it can’t just be the US alone. This is just logical. Plus I do believe a small remnant of God will be left in North America. I can’t say the same for the UK, unless we’re talking about the insane and very young children. The set up in the UK is very different from the US and as a Christian, after having lived in many countries, I would never live here again. Plus I have seen how the hereditary peers who have inherited things over 1000 years have lived – I once had access to that part of society. I have seen other things too – so I would have to say, show me 100 UK Christians and I will show you 98-99 liars.

        • Priszilla

Actually its all the nations that put too much emphasis on religion or ideology.

          • Firstgarden

The very greatness of this nation was founded, to a large degree, on religious principle.

          • Priszilla

What do you think does “too much” mean?

          • Firstgarden

“Too much” was not an issue when society had more moral fiber. It became an issue when society collectively drifted away more and more from God. Then, it was always “Too much.”

“If there are no absolutes by which to judge society, then society is absolute.”

The system has too much resilience to crash just because of tendencies in the markets. Trending or tending is just that. An actual trigger is needed. Financially we will go into deflation and be unable to get back up as production falls depending on whether energy gets either too cheap or too dear. Either way will be bad news, but not necessarily a trigger.

  • Normal

Markets will not collapse in one day or one month, this time it will be gradual and it will take years of bear market before we touch bottom. This what is happening right now is just beginning of long bear market.

    • Mark

I believe that when it come crashing, it will happen over night. No warning at all.
Not sure if this year or next, but it is coming and we must be prepared (individually). Food storage, fuel, whatever we need to survive through the toughest before it gets better.

      • normal

No it is not going to happen in one day, because all economy will go up in the dust and it will create social unrest all over the globe.
Remember they need controlled demolition, not chaos.

        • Drud

Perhaps that is what “they” need, but these people are neither all-powerful nor all-knowing. They are short-sighted people with their ego’s in the driver’s seat. This whole system will come crashing down, and fairly quickly, no matter what actions are taken by anyone.

  • Mondobeyondo

A stock market crash? Not in the short term at least. More like a stock market correction, one that is long overdue.

However, there is no getting around it: The U.S. economy is in deep doo doo, long term.

im no expert in financial know how ,but this much I do Know that God in his wisdom has a plan and purpose in the Earth and we are living at the end of the age of gentile (non jews) darkness .and time is short .before he christ comes as a thief in the night and judgment must begin in the house hold of God (the Ecclesia ) the ressurection of the dead .A ten year depression and then the third world War So then what must we do to be saved ? simply believe the gospel of Gods coming Kingdom on the earth and the name of Jesus Christ and be baptised signed a Christadelphian in the hope of Israel.

    I don’t believe any of this….

It looks like everyone has plenty of money, time, and is doing just fine.

    • Kim

    • Drud

You are absolutely correct, Marcia, what you are describing is spot on…the caveat, of course is this: everybody had plenty of money and time and everyone was doing just great for the first 91/2 months of 1929.

The Federal Reserve will get the spotlight it doesn’t want. It created all of these financial bubbles and these bubbles are bursting. People are pouring their money into the bond market driving the interest to near zero. They aren’t making a penny in interest. When that bursts and the bond market sells off what do we do then.

  • Kim

Those are certainly ominous signs. When a huge ship sinks, anyone that is too close gets caught in its vortex and goes down with it. Stand back from this. It’s gonna crash.

  • Rick

It’s all very simple. We (USA) will be just fine as long as the rest of the world continues to allow us to steal from them by way of the dollar being the worlds “reserve” currency. If they allow us to print at will as they have over the last 5 years, life in the bubble will be just fine.
If they decide not to allow it any longer, there will be a war. And it will be fought in the US.

  • Firstgarden

I doubt if the Big Bust is that imminent. If we’re really on the precipice right now, expect QE4 and money rolling off the press faster than toilet paper. Anything to look good before the midterms. They may not be able to hold out til Nov 2016.

Then again, they may not need to. Martial law will take care of that.

  • David_R59

I believe we’re in the approximate equivalent to 2007, with the big drop being one year in the future.
This is happening every seven years (during the Shemitah). 2015 is seven years since the 2008 crash.
Previous to that crash in Sept/Oct. 2008, it was 9/11, which was seven years before that.
Expect these events to happen every seven years and for them to become more extreme over time, until people get the message.

  • CaraGia

We are in a Shemitah year, which comes to an end September 13, 2015. Historically, Shemitah years that begin poorly end poorly and vice versa. Thus far we’ve seen the markets falling, and ebola on American shores. Not looking good folks.

September 14th 2015! Be prepared for the fall that shall not be stopped for this will be a full collapse!

For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

The super rich are exiting the market and covering their butts with gold. That’s all you need to know to predict what’s coming. They always show their cards before the river.

This happens every time we turn our back on Israel. Bad weather occurs also. Is our president blind? Our nation needs to get morally back on track and more like our founding fathers. Wake up and quit telling Israel what to do with her God given land! Our nation has its’ priorities mixed . I pray we wake up before we are doomed. Quit supporting demons and support Israel. Our own people need help here. Are you leaders thinking at all or praying? Christian from Texas

    • Yosef

Israel did not exist when the founding fathers established this nation, the foundation was laid out based on Christianity (worshiping God) not worshiping people who claim to be “chosen” but in reality may be of the synagogue of satan.

Jesus is descended from Abraham and the Jews and I pray for them to all recogize Him as the Son of God and the Savior of mankind as we do. Without them we would not have Him nor our Bible.

From 85 to 82 is a crash? Try this with your car – decelerate from 85mph to 82mph when you see a camera.

    • Malcolm Reynolds

IOW, you looked at the first chart and decided you’re gonna see only what YOU wanna see.
I’m not surprised, that’s the hallmark of your thinking. Have a good day.

      • Priszilla

You can look at the other charts and will see that the slopes of the crashes are different -getting less steep.

    • Yosef

Try taking your own advice off a cliff

      • Priszilla

You see. THAT would be a crash.

You’ll have to ask the “plunge protection team” just where they will move this market, up or down. Neither supply or demand or any comment above mean anything anymore. These people are now in full control of this market. It’s a shame that America and democracy died and nobody sent flowers.

Martin Armstrong: the crash starts in the US during October, 2015… by the time of the 2016 elections, it will be the 1930s all over again.

  • Hank

I believe by next September 2015, we will see the wiping out of the stock market. I believe this crash will be worse than any crash we ever had.
I also believe the U.S. could see another enemy attack on it`s soil between now and Sept. 2015.
