Just A Coincidence That A Historic Blizzard Named ‘Jonas’ Hit D.C. On The Anniversary Of Roe v Wade?

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Jonas - Photo from WikipediaOn January 22nd, one of the worst east coast blizzards in history slammed into Washington D.C. like a freight train.  More than three feet of snow was dumped on some areas, hundreds of thousands of people were left without power, and coastal cities all long the eastern seaboard experienced flooding to a degree not seen since Hurricane Sandy.  Tens of millions of people live in communities that were completely paralyzed by this storm, and it is being projected that the total amount of economic damage done will ultimately be in the billions of dollars.  January 22nd also happens to be the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in all 50 states.  Since that Supreme Court decision, more than 58 million babies have been murdered in abortion clinics in America.  Could it be possible that it is more than just a “coincidence” that both of these events happened on January 22nd?

In a previous article, I noted that this east coast blizzard was officially given the name “Jonas”.  It turns out that “Jonas” is actually a Greek transliteration of the Hebrew name “Jonah”.

In the Bible, Jonah was sent to the city of Ninevah to warn that the judgment of God was about to come.  Some are suggesting that it may not be any accident that a historic blizzard named after this Biblical prophet hit Washington D.C. on the exact anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision.

And without a doubt, this was a whopper of a storm.  According to USA Today, some cities broke their all-time records for snowfall from a single storm…

It was the biggest snowstorm ever recorded for three cities — Baltimore (29.2 inches), Allentown, Pa. (31.9) and Harrisburg, Pa. (34), the National Weather Service said. New York City picked up 26.8 inches of snow, missing its all-time record by one-tenth of an inch.

In the D.C. area things were absolutely crazy.  Dulles Airport got a total of 29.3 inches of snow, and Baltimore-Washington International Airport got 29.2 inches of snow.  Some of the outlying areas actually got closer to three feet of snow, and it could take weeks for transportation in the region to get back to normal.

New York City got absolutely pummeled as well.  CNN is reporting that John F. Kennedy International Airport got 31 inches of snow and New York’s Central Park has been buried under 27 inches of snow.

In addition to crazy amounts of snow, vast stretches right along the coast had to deal with tremendous flooding.  In fact, CNN is reporting that the flooding was even worse than during Hurricane Sandy in some areas…

Margate City, just down the coast from Atlantic City, was also affected.

“In a lot of our business areas and our back bay areas, water is coming over the bulkhead in a lot of the same areas as Hurricane Sandy hit,” Lt. Matt Hankinson of the Margate City Police Department said. “Some areas I would say it’s thigh- to waist-deep.”

Farther south in North Wildwood, the high tide was much higher than anticipated and caught many of the town’s 5,000 year-round residents off guard — with flooding levels that actually exceeded those during Hurricane Sandy, said Patrick Rosenello, the city’s mayor.

Meanwhile, a very powerful El Nino pattern continues to send storm after storm slamming into the west coast.  It didn’t get much publicity because of the giant blizzard on the east coast, but the California coastal city of Pacifica just declared a state of emergency due to the damage from these storms.  The following comes from the Daily Mail

As the East Coast is hit with one of the most powerful storms in recent years, the West Coast is continuing to be slammed with storms thanks to El Nino.

The city of Pacifica in northern California declared a state of emergency Friday after continuous El Nino storms slammed into the city’s coastline,KNTV reported.

A sinkhole and a severely damaged sea wall are part of the destruction in the city from the wild winter weather.

‘El Nino is hitting the city’s coastline very hard and creating almost daily reports of impacts to both public and private property,’ City Manager Lorie Tinfow told KNTV.

All of this continues a very unusual pattern of disasters that we have been witnessing over the past six months.  Just consider what we have seen happen since last September…

-Around the turn of the year the middle part of the country experienced absolutely horrific flooding.  The only thing people can really compare it to is the great flood of 1993, and Missouri Governor Jay Nixon says that some communities saw floodwaters get to “places they’ve never been before”.  Normally if the middle of the country is going to see flooding like this, it is going to happen when the snow begins to thaw in the spring.  For something like this to happen in December is absolutely unprecedented.

-Prior to that, a conveyor belt of storms that barreled into coastal areas of Oregon and Washington caused horrible flooding in many areas.  In fact, in early December we witnessed the wettest day in the history of Portland, Oregon.  The resulting landslides and floods made headlines all over the nation.

-Before that, the remnants of Hurricane Patricia caused nightmarish flooding in many parts of Texas.  The flooding was so bad that at one point an entire train was knocked off the tracks.

-Out on the west coast, flash flooding in southern California sent rivers of mud streaming across highways in southern California.  The lifeless body of one man that had his vehicle completely buried in mud was recovered several days later because that is how long it took emergency workers to get to him.

-To kick things off, moisture from Hurricane Joaquin caused horrible flooding all up and down the east coast back in early October.  The governor of South Carolina said that it was the worst rain that some parts of her state had seen in 1,000 years.

All of this flooding has happened since the end of September.

Never before in U.S. history have we ever seen a series of catastrophic floods like this within such a concentrated space of time.

And let us not forget that 2015 was also the worst year for wildfires in all of U.S. history, the state of Oklahoma absolutely shattered their yearly record for earthquakes, and much of the rest of the country has been experiencing highly unusual natural disasters.  In fact, the state of Alaska was hit by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake just today.

In addition, my regular readers already know that global financial markets have just had their worst start to a year in all of modern history.

Could someone be trying to tell us something?

Most people out there would dismiss such a suggestion without even thinking about it.  To most Americans, it must just be a “coincidence” that we have been hit by major disaster after major disaster since the month of September.

But there are others that would point out that you eventually reap what you sow, and this nation has been doing a tremendous amount of evil for a very long time.

As I mentioned at the top of this article, America has murdered more than 58 million babies since 1973.  Instead of being horrified at our crimes, we just continue to shake our fist at God as we celebrate all of the evil that we are doing.  In fact, Barack Obama took time out of his day on Friday to actually celebrate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade

President Barack Obama issued a statement today, celebrating the 43rd anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that declared abortion a constitutionally protected right.

“Today, we mark the 43rd anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade, which affirmed a woman’s freedom to make her own choices about her body and her health,” said Obama.

Despite being shown our guilt over and over again, we have absolutely refused to change our ways, and so now we will pay the price for our crimes.

As I have said on television, on the radio and in my articles, 2016 is the year when everything changes.

I believe America is facing some difficult times ahead but if snow is form of punishment then I say keep it up. Everybody I have talked to in the northeast has thoroughly enjoyed the snow and days off work. Now if a series of tornados struck Washington and New York then I would say thats a punishment. Its kind of like Bo Polny who is also a christian that has made several economic predictions said that Hurricane Joaqinn was going to be a punishment on New York but you see New York is alive and kicking. Also oil is closing in on $33 and its another sea of green in Asia and Europe. Markets will rally in the US tomorrow as well. No crisis or melt down here. Yet!!!

    • Jazz

Love you thinking Marty! I have been saying this is just a correction. Shouting from the rooftops to buy, buy, buy. Capital has to flow somewhere and it will go into the US stock market. Also Asian markets and European markets way oversold, big rally coming. I’m loading up for the rally!

      • MaxRockatansky33

No rallies on horizon. Or maybe a definition of “big rally” for you is Dow going max 3 % up in a week or two?

        Bad advice.

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

Maybe some like the snow.. but the 16 or so who died probably would have wished they moved to Florida.

      • Marty Mann

Yes you’re probably right. I read that last week was national hate Florida week. They were basking in the sun while the rest of the country had frozen assets.

For those of you who believe all things are in God’s control, here is the biblical meaning behind the name “Jonas”.

Hebrew Meaning: The name Jonas is a Hebrew baby name. In Hebrew the meaning of the name Jonas is: Gift from God.

The chosen name and timing of this storm tell’s me that God is reminding us that every child “is a gift” from the moment of conception. And yet some in this world chose to profit from murder.

    Forgive us Lord

The nonsense that religious kooks come up with is staggering. I couldn’t make this up if I tried.

    • Marty Mann

I have to agree with you on that. I was raised in a strict pentecostal church and now I want nothing to do with religion. I have seen so many “prophets” say so many crazy things over the past 45 years that NEVER came to pass as well as prophecying about Gods judgement coming on this day or that day and nothing ever happens. So many were saying this past September was going to be hell on earth but here we are in January and the world is still turning. I do believe that something bad may happen in the world that changes the way we live but I dont look for a punishment from God over the way people live their lives or what they do. If God was going to punish abortionists then why have they had free reign for this long and hes not stopped them yet, why would he stop them now?

      • Mark

It is called free will. We are given the choices and either reap or suffer under our own repercussions. I do believe God judges but not by punishing us in the mortal life. Most important, many people today do not know the difference between good and evil or even try to understand it. We have become a narcissistic society only to be consumed by our own sins and evil ways. We love ourselves while not understanding our own surroundings. Kind a like why we are always looking at our smart phones and tablets without ever knowing what is surrounding us. How many young people today understand civics, foreign policy, world events and basic economics. For instance, many young people love Bernie because he is promising free stuff and preaching democratic socialism. However, is capitalism, Marxism, and fascism really being taught properly in the public and college levels. Probably not. We have done a great job of turning our heads against god and using secularism to become more of a godless society. I agree with you that god is not punishing us. He does not have to because we are punishing ourselves.

So you disagree with Michael and many people on this blog, that God is not punishing us.

What I don’t get is what have God against smart phones and Bernie Sanders. I think that the interpretations that christians make of God’s will are very suspicious, allways aligned with your own moral and even politic stance.

          • Mark

First, I use free will because God lets us choose our fate either good or bad. I do believe in God and Christ was his son but gives us free will to make our own choices and yes mistakes/sins. I also believe we will be judged in the after life so for anyone out there thinking that god gives us a free pass no way. No one Is guaranteed to walk over the rainbow bridge. You have to earn it. Setting a good example and being a real role model for our young people is one example. However, on earth God does not create a snow storm to punish because I believe he is a loving God. He created mother nature and maybe the human race just does not understand how to react or has not learned to live in this environment. God did give us a brain and maybe we need to apply it more.
I used smart phones as an example of how we are so consumed and introverted that we do not realize what is going on around us or aware of issues that could have a major impact on our society. Many people today quite frankly do not use the mind power that God gave us to think for ourselves and are only consumed by ourselves. I use Bernie Sanders because he is promising things to young people that in today’s age are not realistic because people are not being taught how to think for themselves. Logical self thinking skills are lacking in our young society. Yes, I do believe Bernie Sanders is a nut job and a socialist. However, they do not teach traditionally anymore so many students do not even understand the difference between Marxism or capitalism. Also, they are being persuaded by the Left since the liberal left has had control of education since the rise of baby boomers in the late 60s early 70s.
Marx was a atheist and I have no respect for him as a human being or economist. Bernie strongly believes in a Marxist type system which quite Frankly will fail and bankrupt the country. However, listen to what young people say when asked how do we pay for all the free stuff. They say we need to take it away from the 1%. Well , lets think about this one. If we take away all the wealth of the top 5% it would not even put a dent in the soon to be $20 trillion deficit. I do not know how God feels about this and probably does not care. However, he did gave all of us a brain to look at the good and bad and make logical critical thinking decisions which as a society we are failing with a grade F.

          • jox

You believe in God, I don’t. Nobody can prove it. That’s ok. But suddenly you start mixing economy and politics on the discussion, and you say that God is on your side. How convenient! To have an imaginary entity that somehow you KNOW that thinks as you in human and mundane subjects. Yes, we all have free will, but only you are right, not me.

You don’t even need the book (because the Bible doesn’t say anything about Sanders, smartphones or taxes to the 1%) to feel that He is on your side. How do you know that? Because you invented it, that’s how you know.

          • Mark

I had a hunch you did not believe in God and that is ok too. However, you are trying make an argument about something that there is no argument about. The whole purpose of what I was saying is people cannot think for themselves. I do believe that God plays a role in our lives if we accept him and do good for ourselves. We practice what we learn and apply it in society. Knowing good vs.evil and making the right decisions based on our beliefs does help us in life. I have made plenty of mistakes in life and am far from perfect
I have a idea you support Sanders and that is fine also. Many on the left are also secularists and atheists. I have had similar discussions with friends that do not believe in God. So be it. I also know it is hard to have discussions with the far left n=because they are the most narcissistic of all. Very self absorbing and love to have the know it all approach to things. Ok, I have dealt with that too so be it. I have learned that arguing with the left only brings ranting and raving along with the PC police. That was a very god political strategy the left created Political Correctness. Do you embrace political Correctness FOX?????
However, I do believe living in a more godless society has created decay brought on by us because we have not let God in and shut the door. Again, not punishing society but society punishing itself.
You say the bible does not say anything about Sanders, smartphones, or taxes. You are right. The whole point I am making is people do no think for themselves and let other persuade them into thinking wonderful things and empty promises. I was emphasizing that God does not create storms to harm people. People create their own faults by not being prepared. He gave us a brain you now. Manipulation and propagandist are every where today manipulating society. I believe God wants us to distinguish between god and evil but we can only do that individually. I believe Sanders is a lost man without and guidance like so many on the far left and right. History always repeats itself and these politicians I believe are not good individuals. What politician is???? Do you believe MAO, Stalin, Lenin, Marx, Pol Pot, or Hitler were good people and made society better. NOOOO. They committed every sin you can think of and yet society embraced them because of hard times. Any crack pot can promise the world which is all BS. That’s why I am against far left & right wing politics because it has dome more harm. I am a firm believer in the Constitution and I am a conservative. I will admit it and am not afraid to admit it. Yes we do need government but small limited government.
Now I am done with you and would rather not argue because I have other more important things to do. Every time I get in to a discussion with far left wing atheists they go into an uproar like your last statement (Because you invented, that’s how you know) I can read the anger which is not good. Take a chill pill. What has God ever done to you except give you a wonderful world to live in. Now enjoy it. I will never change your thinking and you will not change mine. However I will say that if you let someone persuade you that they have the solution on how to run your life and you cannot think for yourself then you are creating your own hell.
Now go do something good for someone like helping your neighbor dig out of this snow storm if you live in the Mid Atlantic. If not help an elderly person in your neighborhood. Doing Godly things makes you feel better.

          • jox

If you see hatred or anger in my words its only because my poor English. I’m from Europe and I’m not a native English speaker.

Every time I have an argument with religious person, he allways places me on the far left and feels obliged to mention Stalin or Hitler.

Well, lets live the discussion at this point. I think religious people is very narcissistic. They not only know it all, they even have it written down in a book!

I agree with your last point: lets do good and not evil. Except that those are not godly things but human things.
            Best regards.

          • isukusa

No free will. See my post above. Read Eph. 1:11.

        • isukusa

You do not understand free will. If you had free will you would not be able to be influenced. Just because you make decisions does not mean you have free will. Your decisions just demonstrate that you are making decisions based upon the strongest influence. God is the only one that has free will; He influences all things Eph. 1:11. Jesus Himself does not have free will. In Jn. 5:30 He stated that He came to do the Father’s will. People are not saved by making a free will decision they have been predetermined (elected) to be saved Jn. 15:16 by grace Eph. 2:8 it is a gift without works.

          • Mark

I am glad you are a religious person and understand the bible. However, you are interpreting something that may have a totally different meaning. Nobody knows until they die but I do know that the blizzard was not created by God. Ours is a loving God.

      • nevergiveup

2 Peter 3:9-10 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 0 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

Matthew 24:36-50 36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a]but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man

        • Gay Veteran

          find that ark yet?

          • nevergiveup

I am not looking for the Ark GV. If a coffin underground rots in 10-20 years there is no chance of finding other wooden objects that were exposed to water and the elements for thousands of years. Was a good chirp though :) (I mean that sincerely – no sarcasm). The thing is I have been to Turkey and Israel and saw plenty of proof. I look into the eyes of my two sons and there I see proof. I look at a sunset, or breathe in the air in the forest, or feel Gods astounding love for me even after I behaved like a complete plonker – and there is proof.

“Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets, ‘Behold, I am
going to feed them wormwood And make them drink poisonous water, For from the prophets of Jerusalem Pollution has gone forth into all the land.'” Thus says the LORD of hosts, “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you. They are leading you into futility; They speak a vision of their own imagination, Not from the mouth of the LORD. “They keep saying to those who despise Me, ‘The LORD has said, “You will have peace “‘; And as for everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart, They say, ‘Calamity will not come upon you.’…

God gave man Free Will, why would he stop it only for those who do bad? Or in your churches case, those who do not follow the Word of God but make things up, like being a prophet? We must read God’s Word to discern what is from God and what is from Satan. He tells us that there will be many Antichrist that come in his name but we should have learned from The Word how to tell Truth from deceit.

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

        • watchmannonthewall

I have given this passage a lot of thought over the last year or so. The verses you didn’t quote, between 2 Peter 3:4 and 9, speak of how God JUDGED the world existing at the time of Noah. This is the theme of the passage. God will judge when He is ready.
He waited 1656 years to judge the inhabitants of the earth at the time of the Flood. Methusealah’s name, the son of Enoch, means “When he dies, it will come”. The Flood occurred the year he died. He lived 969 years. God told Abraham He was going to wait another 400 years before judging the Amorites, which He did but at the same approximate time (40 years earlier) He judged the Egyptians. Then He waited about 700 years before judging the Northern 10 tribes (723BC). He waited 490 years after the time of Samuel before judging the Southern Kingdom for not keeping His Sabbaths. After He brought them back about 535 BC, He waited until 70 AD – 135AD before scattering the Southern Kingdom around the world. They weren’t allowed to return until after the Holocaust, only about 70 years ago.
The point of Peter’s message, I believe, is that though man doesn’t believe God will judge, Peter makes the pooint He has clearly done so in the past and will do so again. God has set an APPOINTED time for when He will judge. Man can’t hurry Him and affect His timing. He already knows exactly what man is going to do, and how and when He will respond!

Yes – there have been religious types of all kind that have misled people – Jesus warned of that in fact when talking of the last days “Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. He also said “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold”. Peter also warned there would be mockers in the last days “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised?” (2 Peter 3)

Maybe this was a warning – maybe it was not. But abortion is murder and has exterminated the lives of many beautiful, innocent babies that certainly had no choice and could have been raised in the most prosperous and most powerful country in the world. Why? Mostly because it was inconvenient. And that says so much about society whose ultimate creed has become that of Aleister Crowley “Do what thou wilt…”. Whether you believe or don’t, the world is heading towards something terrible.

        • nevergiveup

I was raised by a mother who had me at 15 and had a number of drug addictions. I am one of those children you are talking about and I have seen things and been through things that no child should go through. But my Moms and grandmothers love and especially the grace of Jesus got us through and I now have two beautiful sons of my own. Those two boys are growing up to be world changers. All because my mother decided not to have me exterminated in her womb because I was an inconvenience or because she could not afford me, or because she had been raped. Yes i am the result of a rape but what man intended for evil, God intended for good and I praise God in heaven that my mother allowed me to live. Those children that have been raised in those terrible environments are victims of a society that values drugs, war, lust, entertainment and self pleasure above taking care of children.

My moms major problems however stemmed from prescription drugs and a lot of alcohol. Barbiturates and tranquilizers. one of her boyfriends was a dealer. He hung her out the 4th story of a building by her hair once. Eventually she ended up in an asylum for a month. Sometimes she was so out of it that i could not wake her up to get her to go to work. Sorry for the novel. I am just telling you some of this so you know I am not lying. But you are right not to trust anything you read. individual souls are what matters now. empires and kingdoms have come and have shown that man made society is incapable of living a Holy life and administering a Holy kingdom.

individuals repent and look to your new saviour.

Justified individuals seek sanctification and lift your heads and pray for lost individuals.

give up your technology and your riches and your desire for riches.

Reject man made doctrine and set aside those teachers who teach according to there own desires.

Refuse to listen to those who tickle the ears and tell you what you want to hear.

Find the narrow gate and reject the broad path that so many promote.

return to the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.

and He shall give you water of an everlasting spring.

Take up the Covering of Christ.

    Christ said in Matthew 5:17

17″Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.

Works based adhering to Law will not be accepted when individuals kneel before Christ to give an account of there Life.
Govermental law will not be a defense against judgement.
to set aside the moral literal teachings of Christ and Moses and accept Government law as the standard that God will judge is not acceptable.
    Murder is wrong.
in the case of Cain and Abel God says that the Blood of the Slain cries out to him from the ground.
imagine the cries of 46mill + aborted children.
how long do you think a Just and Holy God will put off his wrath and judge a people for that many individual cries of pain and injustice??

myself as a failed human couldnt stand one single voice crying out to me day and night for eternity.
imagine a God who is Just and Holy.

individuals repent for your nations and for yourselves

I respectfully must say I don’t see weather patterns as anything other than just that. I ‘ve recently posted many past weather extremes that occurred decades before America’s lapse into moral relativism.
The great flood of 1923-24 , the massive earthquake which formed Reelfoot Lake in Northwest Tn. 1812, The San Francisco Earthquake of 1906 which wiped out the entire city , or the Anchorage Alaska earthquake of 1964 which leveled more than a dozen blocks in one part of the city killing 139 people. We can go back further and note the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius which destroyed Pompeii in AD 79. Or the Little Ice Age in Europe which plunged Europe into a deep freeze between 1300-1850 history records some of the coldest winters on record during those years. History informs us that severe weather and geological events are quite normal as we look back through the pages of recorded time.
Weather is in a constant state of change and always will be . The best we can do as human beings is to try to be prepared for the unexpected.

Of course it is just a coincidence. In fact, something bad happens every single day of the year that can be interpreted accordingly. It’s not hard to form associations like these with biblical events and seasons, dates, anniversaries, et ce, to the untrained eye. These things mean nothing but for in the grand scheme, we are living in the last days of this epicically evil order. I’d forget about what it all means in terms of dates, seasons, years, and focus overall on where we are in the vast order of time and start meaningful preparation.

We are living in the time of the end. The fast-fulfilling signs of the times declare that the coming of Christ is near at hand. The days in which we live are solemn and important. The Spirit of God is gradually but surely being withdrawn from the earth. Plagues and judgments are already falling upon the despisers of the grace of God. The calamities by land and sea, the unsettled state of society, the alarms of war, are portentous. They forecast approaching events of the greatest magnitude.

The agencies of evil are combining their forces and consolidating. They are strengthening for the last great crisis. Great changes are soon to take place in our world, and the final movements will be rapid ones.

The condition of things in the world shows that troublous times are right upon us. The daily papers are full of indications of a terrible conflict in the near future. Bold robberies are of frequent occurrence. Strikes are common. Thefts and murders are committed on every hand. Men possessed of demons are taking the lives of men, women, and little children. Men have become infatuated with vice, and every species of evil prevails.

The enemy has succeeded in perverting justice and in filling men’s hearts with the desire for selfish gain.

“Yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry.” Hebrews 10:37.

This is incorrect theology Michael. No where in the NT does God judge anyone except during the tribulation period. Man has a free will and God does not interfere with that free will. For Christians to say that God is judging America is not scriptural. There is NO proof that any country was or has been judged by God since Christ went to the Cross!

    No the heart of God!!!!

John 3:17 (NASB) For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

Hebrews 9:27 (NASB) And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,

Judgement comes when the unbeliever leaves this world. Not before. There is a difference between judgement and “reaping and sowing”. We are under Grace now, not the law which involved judgement and punishment.

Excessive moisture as either snow or rain, more earthquakes, and more volcanic activity precede mini ice ages or ice ages, along with a period of global warming. Let’s get some fast and dirty technical analysis out of the way cause I’m too lazy to do any detailed analysis and high emotions likely overshoot anyway. Recognizing momentum is measured on weekly close changes on percentage basis. If the sp500 closes up 30 points next Friday bulls have regained momentum. If the bears can achieve volume reversal and sp500 gives back 85% of last weeks gains or about 27 points then expect a retest of last weeks lows. Seems like 3 confluences at 1872.4 maybe that holds. Any close above 1972.5 should see run to 1998+ like a magnet. As usual though its all about the evolution of the incoming data – my new favorite saying on this 90%+ algo driven technical analysis dream come true environment. As usual any geopoli or exogenous event can knock the stuffing out of the piñata. Jmho :)

Hatred? Not at all. I affirm that the book doesn’t contain a sacred knowledge. As any other book. In fact, Koran is far worse. It’s a rational position, without hatred nor anger.

The books were written by humans, with human knowledge and human defects. It’s your task to prove that they were inspired by God, for example showing prophecies fulfilled, wich is difficult because they were not. This is why you are forced to use obscure and abstract sentences without a clear meaning, that you can copy and paste in every discussion, because they don’t say actually nothing. Sorry.

          • Sweet T

It’s hardly rational to believe that the entirety of the universe came from 0 than came from 1.

The Bible contains approximately 2,500 prophecies. 2,000 of them have already been fulfilled with 100% accuracy and the remaining 500 are yet to be fulfilled.

You are a fulfillment of prophecy yourself thus continuing to affirm its truth.

          • jox

We ignore everything about the creation. What it’s irrational is to believe that it has been a single entity, the ‘creator’, and even more that ‘he’ is like one of the thousands of (contradictory) gods that humanity have invented in centuries. And even more irrational to believe that is precisely yours, the jew-christian (more contradiction) that is ‘the real one’.
I suppose that is confortable to have such an entity that agrees with you in moral issues, such as gay marriage or abortion. You feel in a higher moral ground than us, poor atheists. Because you have a book! The good one, the real one!

Maybe god should concern himself with all of the babies that have actually been born onto this earth. You know the ones that are physically, sexually and emotionally abused. The ones that are living in foster care right now or orphanages (do they still have those).

But I guess god is angry cause those unwanted children were not born and thus there are less abused and neglected children for him to feed off of, right?

Everything that can be shaken will be shaken… In Hebrews 12:26-27, God warns, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” That’s an awesome and somber promise from the mouth of the one True God! And we are seeing evidence of it now! Heed God’s warning.

All “created things” will be shaken–that means all “things” of this world both physical and spiritual. This includes human philosophies, human governments, human
economies, and yes, mere human religion. The religion of convenience and compromise is going to be shaken. The religion of personal opinion instead of a “Thus says the Lord God” is going to be shaken. A religion of “Self” is going to be shaken. And, yes, not even the Christian is exempt from being shaken. Of course, to those who have NOT put their faith Jesus Christ…the thought or the promise of a shaking by the Living God is foolishness, and is readily dismissed and denied. I pray that you open the Word of God and read the book of John and turn your heart to Jesus.

Yes, I agree…leave “human religion” out of it and instead embrace the saving grace of Jesus Christ, for it is ONLY faith in Jesus Christ that can save.

Reason all you like, there is only one way and one truth…

I don’t. Stories made up by the church were designed for a specific reason. Sin and salvation is a hoax created by the church. Without sin and salvation the church would have nothing to sell. Jesus taught we did not have to buy our salvation from the church which is the real reason why they crucified him. Or did you think it was because they were splitting hairs over finer points of church doctrine. Nevermind, just go back to sleep.

You don’t get to define God. There were prophets, chosen by God in the OT to deliver his message, something he was unable to do since the fall of man.

RE: “Since that Supreme Court decision, more than 58 million babies have been murdered in abortion clinics in America.”

Apparently, the SCOTUS felt there was a strong enough distinction between a fetus and a baby that they made their ruling. If the fetus were really a baby, then what could the SCOTUS possibly be thinking? They would be in contradiction to US law “18 U.S. Code § 1111 – Murder”. Someone please explain to me what were the SCOTUS’s were thinking at the time because I don’t understand it. Is a fetus a baby and therefore abortion is murder?

          Warnings against Foolishness

There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,…

        • sistersoldier

REPOST As I answered this in another comment: God is a Righteous Judge and He does not want anyone to perish but for
all to come to everlasting life. The hands that shed innocent blood are
just as guilty as the rapist, the murder, the adulterer and so on as He
is no respector of person. Sin is sin plain and simple and as long as it
remains uncovered by the Redeeming blood of the Precious Spotless Lamb
it is judged the same. Are you willing for all men who sin to perish?
You would have to put your self in that number along with every other
soul who denies that there is no POWER in the saving blood of Christ.

          • df NJ

My faith is in an all-power, all-loving, all-merciful God who will forgive me and save me regardless of my Earthly sins or how I practice my religion. My faith in God is stronger than yours because how I practice my religion is not important.

          • sistersoldier

So if you believe that He will do it for you then why can He not save the Abortionist and the Aborter?

    • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

Maybe SCOTUS didn’t have access to all the facts. Today we know a fetus can respond to stimulus. It’s a living being. Just because it’s protected and exists inside the mother’s body instead of outside doesn’t make it a non sentient living person.

Why if a pregnant women is injured during the commission of a crime and her unborn baby dies, is the perpetrator charged with homicide? Remember Scott Peterson? He was concussed of murderin his own unborn child.

      • df NJ

That is a very good argument. May I respectfully counter from a woman’s point of view, she has absolute sovereignty over her own body. But I will concede that if a fetus is as you say there is a problem. Can we mutual agree that if at some point in the pregnancy a fetus is capable of surviving in the world without the mother it then can be called a baby. There is no question as to whether the fetus is life, the question is does a woman have the right to decide what is allowed to grow inside her body and at what point does it not become her choice. It seems to me that would be equitable solution in terms of secular law. That said, under religious law any and all abortion is probably immoral which is probably true.

        • sistersoldier

          Thou shalt not kill.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

Many people starve all the time while fatties plague the USA.. KiIllng by apathy is so accepted, but an unborn non-developed mass takes some odd precedence in people’s minds.

          • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

She is misquoting the bible verse anyway. It’s thou shall not murder. Probably quoting from an archaic bible translation, but the original Hebrew word denotes murder (to Latin “mens re” or “actus reas” evil, guilty act). So there is that difference.

        • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

Yes a woman has the right to decide what is allowed to grow inside of her own body. In parts of the Middle East, if woman conceives an unwanted child, there is a concoction or “tea” they believe will cause a spontaneous miscarriage upon drinking. My point is, if a woman’s choice is the sole factor of the law, then to be consistent the one making the choice would have to perform her own abortion. Why involve the medical community? They have no business in it. Or they shouldn’t. Especially if there are criminal laws on the books protecting unborn children. Criminal law always trumps civil law.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

          • sistersoldier

You accused me of speaking for God but your comment below reads, “My faith is in an all-power, all-loving, all-merciful God who will
forgive me and save me regardless of my Earthly sins or how I practice
my religion. My faith in God is stronger than yours because how I
practice my religion is not important.” Although I quoted scripture you however knowingly admit that you put God in a position and demand that He approve of you and your sin. You should know that God will not allow anyone to have power over Him and that is just what I read in your reply, “that you control God”. Think about it.

          • df NJ

What were the SCOTUS judges thinking?

          • sistersoldier

You tell me what they were thinking you are number one with the Creator?

          • df NJ

First of all, I do not think any of us is number one with the Creator. God is God. Worshiping anything other than God is idolatry.

You should read the judges ruling. They obviously did not think abortion was murder. I’m interested if you agree with their argument why.

          • sistersoldier

Just as it requires the blood of Jesus for the atonement of sin and as a sacrifice for “us” in place of “us” the same is required for those who serve their dark under lord and master. Blood is a covenant life line and Satan needs it just as the sinner needs it to be saved. Only his blood thirst is relentless. Jesus died once for the sins of many and Satan requires many for his own sake. I can’t explain it any better than that because the bottom line is your SCOTUS is evil and there is no grey in that determination. It as black and white as the letters of this comment and the white background its printed on.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

Weren’t you in that movie “Carrie”?

          • df NJ

I once heard a Muslim describe Christians as cannibalistic blood drinkers because of the holy sacrament. Although I know its symbolic, seeing it through his eyes did make me queasy.

          • df NJ

You should read the ruling. You can tell a lot of time went into writing it.

I don’t think any of us can speak for God by declaring “SCOTUS is evil”. You do not know what God thinks. God is pro-choice because based on human experience there is no amount of “evil” God will not tolerate in order to preserve our free will.

I don’t believe Satan is more powerful than God like you do. I do not believe the words “lord” and “master” have anything to do with religion. You can’t have a lord without slaves. You can’t have a master without slaves. Do you find it just a little strange that the natural order of God and the Universe is exactly the same type of feudalistic government of King James?

I do not believe my God thinks of me as his slave. I think my God loves me as the most sacred and holy thing in the Universe. This is why my faith is much stronger than yours. My faith in an all-loving God who will save me no matter what is much stronger than any threat of eternal suffering in Hell. As I said, Hell is hoax creating by the church so they have something to sell.

Besides, most people I know who are moral and righteous are so not because of the threat of eternal damnation. And most people who are truly evil probably relish in the idea that their behaviors qualify them for eternal damnation.

Although we may both think abortion is on some level immoral, I would never think our God would ever try to hurt us by a large snow storm for any of our actions. The God I love is just too loving to be so petty with a snow storm. It’s actually seems irreverent to me to suggest God is evil.

          • sistersoldier

            Jesus wept.

          • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

We know their thinking was based on outdated technology. SCOTUS also failed to foresee the vast medical expansion of abortion technology, the expansion of profiting from abortion services, and the propaganda influencing a woman to believe she has no other choice but to have an abortion. And of course, as already mentioned, choice.

Maybe SCOTUS thought abortion services would be limited to a very small percentage of women in a tight spot and not utilized as a form of cheap birth control.

          • df NJ

You should read the ruling. What you are suggesting is not the case.

          • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

It’s been a while. I should. Are you talking about the constitutional aspects of the decision? That is the driving factor of any SCOTUS decision and would answer your “what were they thinking” question. Interpreting and applying the constitution in their appellate court rulings is the only function of SCOTUS.

          • df NJ

No, the part about knowing when life begins. So their argument is a woman gets to decide since as a group we cannot agree when a fetus gets 14th Amendment rights.

          • df NJ

RE: “You should know that God will not allow anyone to have power over Him and that is just what I read in your reply, “that you control God”. Think about it.”

Again, my faith in God is stronger than any fear you have. I trust God to save me no matter what happens in my life.

          • sistersoldier

As long as it works for you. Satan is under my feet and I fear only the One who is able to judge the quick and the dead. I have faith enough to know that He is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent and if you had the faith of which you speak you would not be debating SCOTUS you would be praying.

Micheal, honey, dead fetal tissue has nothing to do with Climate Change except for where man has made the world so filthy normal fetal tissue has been corrupted. God Himself has reduced the amount of babies being born go check the numbers. Zika disease bearing mosquitos have maimed over 4,000 babies and growing. Truly an act of God. Unlike the direct poisoning of our environment we are trying to bring new life into. Don’t bring God into this Roe vs Wade Michael, you don’t know God’s mind here. Well, I will agree that scientist are not always impartial and free from the faults of human nature. And I would agree liberals are in many ways just as self-serving as the conservatives. But if you google, “carbon in the atmosphere 200 year graph” it does seem to indicate a correlation with the burning of fossil fuels. Of course, correlation does not prove causation. We should study the five hundred year history of volcanic eruptions to see if there’s an increase frequency in the last 200 years to confirm if your conjecture is correct.

It’s funny how you always criticize and hate in other people what you do not like about your own character. Maybe it is YOU who should stop listening to your conservative friends.

Obviously you again have no clue what you’re typing. Climate change is not synonymous with global warming. Research it and see what they mean by that phrase then you’ll realize how ignorant you are …again.

The biggest joke is how people keep selling stocks because oil prices have crashed. LMAO. People do not understand basic economics – supply and demand. This is a SUPPLY issue not a demand issue. LOL. Looks like I get to keep buying great investments at a discount. I’m loving it!

    • http://www.mindbodygreen.com Kim

Keeping buying till u have no more money left.

      • Jazz

Gonna take quite a while. I’m set for life

        • df NJ

I put more faith in millions of people continuing to copulate and have babies than I do the preppers being correct. Once demand catches up with supply the stocks will rebound as you’ve said.

  • jsmith

I couldn’t ignore the figure of the 58 million aborted babies in this country, and when you realize that there are 64 million people in the United Kingdom, it brings into perspective the staggering amount of mothers that have those dead babies on their minds. Whereas before I probably did not dwell on the abortion issue, lately, as a consequence of my mother’s passing away on December 18th, it has made me a more, and I can’t exactly bring forth the right word, but I feel I have become closer to God as I have been praying to God and Jesus quite often during the day, to find some comfort. But it also has made me more attuned to the tragedies that are happening daily through out the day.

More people die from poverty in this country than any other cause. If you want to be Jesus, then figure out a way to fight poverty in this country.

““Today, we mark the 43rd anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade….”

what, no blizzard on the 42nd anniversary? the 41st anniversary, the 40th anniversary?………………….

    • chris

      Stcik to this one.
If you believe in Coincidence, thats a choice

      • Gay Veteran

what, was “god” too busy to send a blizzard on the 42nd anniversary? the 41st anniversary, the 40th anniversary?………………….

        • chris

Figure God out and get back to me.
You choose to not believe in God so you can live any way you want

          • Gay Veteran

I see you missed the point. So let me repeat it:

what, was “god” too busy to send a blizzard on the 42nd anniversary? the 41st anniversary, the 40th anniversary?………………….

          • chris

God does as he sees fit.
You try and fault find to disprove his existence to live as you wish.
            God gives that choice

          • Gay Veteran

            religion exists for 2 reasons:
            1. man fears death
            2. as a means of social control (obey the king or go to he ll).

Heck, I’ll toss in a third reason:
            3. as a means for priests and preachers to obtain money and power

          • chris

Religion is a belief system. All have one.
            Many false preachers ,agree.
Believe God of the Bible or not. He allows that choice.

          • REALIST

God has nothing to do with the way you live. How you live is your choice

          • chris

How you live is your choice”
IF you believe there is no God or God allows anything

  • df NJ

Life doesn’t begin at conception. Life existed long before conception.

    • REALIST

Partially wrong. Life is a continuous. The sperm and egg are both alive. There is no start-stop. Life is a thread, just taking different forms, but always alive.

  • J B

This is all due to Global Warming, we all have to pay more tax so the Central Banks can stop Global Warming. It’s not happening because we are entering Mini Ice-Age due to Solar Inactivity, It’s all happening because we are not paying enough Tax to stop Global Warming from creating the Coldest Temperatures on Record around the World.

    • Jazz

Lmao. Global warning is the biggest hoax of all time. You are so correct in that it doesn’t exist but rather a manner for governments to generate more tax revenue. Even al gore doesn’t believe it’s true.

      • df NJ

Thank God the oceans seem to be a bigger heat sink than ever previously estimated or humanity might of gotten a Nobel size Darwin award.

Lmao go back to CNN and your other liberal news sources. Your comments are what they call knee slappers.

          • df NJ

And your comments are what most people call drivel.

  • chris

    Coincidence like luck doesn’t exist.

  • muldoon55 .

God can and will do a lot better when it comes to exacting judgement.
He won’t be pussyfooting around with a few storms and some flooding.

  • nevergiveup

The DAX, FTSE and DOW are all down approx. 10% for the last 3 months. In South Africa we are having to import maize at almost 3 times the price we were paying same time last year. There are parts of the country where we are having to send literally millions of litres of emergency water. The cities are ok but crops have been decimated and farmers are committing suicide. And this is just one country – I know there is chaos in many countries right now. Apparently 25% increase or more is on the cards for certain staple products. There are two companies on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange that have shown an increase in share price for the last year – a tobacco company and a beer company (that should tell you something). The wheel was turning slowly but I think it is starting to speed up.

    • SP2300ROFL

Sin stocks are considered defensive and likely outperform throughout the entire economic or business cycle- including a classic depression. More importantly on a macro level “rough rice futures” prices may be a better indicator of global strife jmho

Michael – I really enjoyed your financial Blog before you became a self fulfilling Prophet. sorry but you have lost me.

  • http://geostphoto.com George Star

Pathetic. How desperate you are to seek confirmation of your lunacy.

  • Ray Kalsitrant

Michael, I just found this out:
Jan 22 is also exactly SEVEN years ago since the first day Obama was officially President of the US! …He swore (with his hand on the bible) for the first time on jan 20th, 2009, but as we all know, he kinda messed up. So he did a retry the next day (jan 21) …Mind you: He did NOT swear on the Bible this time!
