Robert Kiyosaki And Harry Dent Warn That Financial Armageddon Is Imminent

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Alarm Clock Globe - Public DomainFinancial experts Robert Kiyosaki and Harry Dent are both warning that the next major economic crash is in our very near future.  Dent is projecting that the Dow will fall to “5,500 to 6,000 by late 2017”, and Kiyosaki actually originally projected that a great crash was coming in 2016 all the way back in 2002.  Of course we don’t exactly have to wait for things to get bad.  The truth is that things are not really very good at the moment by any stretch of the imagination.  Approximately one-third of all Americans don’t make enough money to even cover the basic necessities, 23 percent of adults in their prime working years are not employed, and corporate debt defaults have exploded to the highest level that we have seen since the last financial crisis.  But if Kiyosaki and Dent are correct, economic conditions in this country will soon get much, much worse than this.

During a recent interview, Harry Dent really went out on a limb by staking his entire reputation on a prediction that we would experience “the biggest global bubble burst in history” within the next four years…

There will be… and I will stake my entire reputation on this… we are going to see the biggest global bubble burst in history in the next four years…

There’s only one way out of this bubble and that is for it to burst… all this stuff is going to reset back to where it should be without all this endless debt, endless printed money, stimulus and zero interest rate policy.

And of course he is far from alone.  Without a doubt, we are currently in the terminal phases of the greatest financial bubble the world has ever known, and it is exceedingly difficult to see any way that it will not end very, very badly.

Ultimately, Dent believes that we could see U.S. stocks lose two-thirds of their value by late next year

The Dow, I’m projecting, will hit 5,500 to 6,000 by late 2017… just in the next year and a half or so.

That’ll be most of the damage… then it will rally and there’ll be some aftershocks into 2020… my four cycles point down into early 2020 and then they start one after the other to turn up… I think the worst will be over by 2020, but the worst of that will be by the end of 2017.

If that does happen, it will be a far worse crash than what we experienced back in 2008, and the economic consequences will be absolutely terrifying.

Another highly respected financial expert that is making similar claims is Robert Kiyosaki.  My wife is a big fan of his books, and I have always held him in high regard.

But what I didn’t realize is that he had actually predicted that there would be a major financial crash all the way back in 2002

Fourteen years ago, the author of a series of popular personal-finance books predicted that 2016 would bring about the worst market crash in history, damaging the financial dreams of millions of baby boomers just as they started to depend on that money to fund retirement.

Broader U.S. stock markets are recovering from the worst 10-day start to a year on record. But Robert Kiyosaki — who made that 2016 forecast in the 2002 book “Rich Dad’s Prophecy” — says the meltdown is under way, and there’s little investors can do but buy gold or silver and hope the Federal Reserve slows the slide.

I agree with Kiyosaki that one way that investors can shield their wealth is by getting gold and silver.  In a recent article, I explained exactly why I believe that silver in particular is ridiculously undervalued right now.

Kiyosaki also believes that the coming crash could be delayed a bit if the Federal Reserve decided to embark on another round of quantitative easing.  But even if that happens, Kiyosaki is absolutely convinced that eventually “it’s all going to come down”

Kiyosaki told MarketWatch that the combination of demographics and global economic weakness makes the next crash inevitable — but the Fed could stave it off with another round of quantitative easing, which might stimulate the economy.

The Fed turned more dovish at its March meeting, with the central bank penciling in fewer interest-rate hikes this year than were previously part of its implied framework. The Fed signaled those hikes would happen more slowly than had been anticipated earlier, owing to a weak global economic environment and a volatile stock market.

“The big question [whether] we do ‘QE4,’” said Kiyosaki. “If we do, the stock market will come roaring back, but it’s not rocket science. If we stop printing money, it crashes; if we print money, it goes up. But, eventually, it’s all going to come down.”

Another voice that I have come to respect is Jim Rickards.  He is not quite as apocalyptic as Kiyosaki or Dent, but without a doubt he is deeply concerned about where the global economy is headed…

Global growth is slowing both because of weakness in developed economies like Europe and Japan, and weakness in some of the emerging markets champions such as China, Brazil and Russia. The limits of monetary policy have been reached.

The evidence is now clear that negative interest rates don’t stimulate spending; they are only good for devaluation in the ongoing currency wars. World trade is shrinking; a rare phenomenon usually associated with recession or depression.

And he is exactly right.  The economic downturn that we are witnessing is truly global in scope.  Brazil has plunged into an economic depression, the Italian banking system is in the process of completely melting down, and Japan has implemented negative interest rates in a desperate attempt to keep their Ponzi scheme going but it really isn’t working.  In fact, Japanese industrial production just crashed by the most that we have seen since the tsunami of 2011.

Here in the United States, investors are generally feeling pretty good right now because stocks have rebounded substantially in recent weeks.  However, Rickards is warning that this rebound is very temporary

Stocks are clearly in a bubble. The stock market is ignoring the strong dollar, which in turn hurts exports and devalues overseas earnings. It is also ignoring declining corporate earnings, imminent defaults in the energy sector, and declining global growth in general.

Never mind. As long as money is cheap and leverage is plentiful, there’s no reason not to bid up stock prices, and wait for the greater fool to bid them up some more.

There is so much that we could learn from all these three men.

Sadly, just like we saw in 2008, most Americans are ignoring the warnings.

The mainstream media has conditioned the public to trust them, and right now the mainstream media is insisting that everything is going to be just fine.

So will everything be just fine as the months roll along?

We will just have to wait and see…

  • ALWAYSTOMORROW

Financial experts Robert Kiyosaki and Harry Dent are both warning that the next major economic crash is in our very near future.

    Oh good lord. This again.

    • Malcolm Reynolds

Despite admitting you’re a simpleton, you seem to think you’re the financial genius that knows more about everyone. Why are you even here then? Basic question.

      • ALWAYSTOMORROW

I am simple. Nothing wrong with that.

Knowing that staying out of debt is a way to make life easy is not being a “financial genius.”

I am here to pose a little bit of challenge to the idea that our lives should be consumed with a collapse.

Some here have balance but I see some who are genuinely worried that a collapse could happen any second.

        So Mr. Reynolds
        1) Stay out of debt.
        2) Enjoy life
        3) The end.

        • Malcolm Reynolds

I am here to pose a little bit of challenge to the idea that our lives should be consumed with a collapse.
What orb are you peeking into that tells you everyone but you is consumed with collapse? Most importantly, did that orb tell you that simply having no debt is going to be your saving grace?

          • ALWAYSTOMORROW

I am going to sign off on you as hopeless. Yes. Hopeless.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

I am going to sign off on you as being a simpleton that, by definition, doesn’t know WTH he’s talking about.

          • Tomorrowisalmosthere

            Hello again, old friend.

We see your challenge and raise you a challenge.
Since so you are so fatigued from others making predictions, why not make one yourself ?

Can you predict when we will arrive at your doorstep?
Can you predict when we will make good on your false piety?

We look forward to meeting you in your arrogance.

            Heartfelt regards,

            T.4.H.O.T.A

          • ALWAYSTOMORROW

Like Tom Bodett, I’ll leave the light on for you.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

They must think you are Captain America
“Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

          • Malcolm Reynolds

That’s not Capn America, that’s Statue of Liberty.
And no, nobody thinks that but you.

          • ALWAYSTOMORROW

            Actually Emma Lazarus.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

And actually inscribed on the Statue of Liberty.

          • RedInkMechanic

Your combative, knee jerk, band wagon mentality coupled with your high opinion of yourself and low opinion of those with opposing views is proof that your head is best used as a hat rack.

Oh we’re gonna be gooood friends. Especially when you start spouting idiotic left wing views. LOL!

‘band wagon mentality” Mmm, no but you’re right, I have little patience for the stupidity of left wingers and simpletons.

          • ALWAYSTOMORROW

JustBill, I like your assessment of Mr. Reynolds. I really enjoy your combination of wit and humor.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

It’s a quote that represents an American Ideal.. Like Captain America

          • ALWAYSTOMORROW

Actually on a bronze plaque in the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Soooo, actually inscribed on the Statue of Liberty. Thanks for setting me straight. Congrats on your lil trek thru Wikipedia.

          • ALWAYSTOMORROW

          • Rorschach

“I am going to sign off on you as hopeless. Yes. Hopeless.”

Ah so you admit you are hopeless.

          • Guest

Good point. Getting/staying out of debt is a very good first step, but definitely not the end all and be all. So, are you consumed with a collapse? No? Me neither. All I know is it’s wise to be informed and make choices/adjustments accordingly.

I worked in the oil patch in Alberta. As you may know, the Alberta economy is not doing so well, and is taking the rest of Canada down with it. Ok, it’s actually worse than the media is letting on. However, it’s not all bad news. Some people have discovered skills and talents that they would not have discovered otherwise because they made good money working for the industry, which in turn has opened up previously nonexistent jobs for others. I hope to hear more of these kinds of stories.

          • Steeve Girard

Then you are aware of the EROEI problems of oil.

          • Guest

One of my teachers who was a geologist had an interesting theory. He proposed that the earth is capable of producing petroleum. That’s an extremely oversimplified version of it, and I don’t remember everything he said, but I thought it was interesting. I have my thoughts on oil. I see lots of good from it, but I am also aware of its evils, too. If we can find a better way to produce energy that doesn’t enslave or endanger people, I am all for it. We have not found that yet.

To be honest, I saw a lot of corruption and massive mismanagement. I still can’t believe some of the stuff I witnessed.

I really, really enjoyed my chosen field, but after awhile, I couldn’t stomach it anymore. Before I left my last job, I tried to make good on some damages done by my employer and the previous companies that said employer took over. The stakeholders were happy and trust was rebuilt. When given the opportunity (stay at home mom), I took it. Best decision I ever made.

          • Steeve Girard

Oh I heard of this Russian theory, yes it’s chemically possible to happen, if there is no oxygen in the ground… but unfortunately, oxygen dissociates and dissolves well in high pressure, which it’s the reason why it is toxic at deep depths. It would also destroy such oil. But there are areas, and I am sure of it where you can find locked pockets, containing some limited quantities of this type of oil.
            .
Not only the oxygen presence in heavy pressures are a problem, but also drilling at the needed depths has the same risks and problems as offshore drilling, which can cause a huge insurance liability. That can make drilling for such oil, unaffordable.

          • Guest

“Not only the oxygen presence in heavy pressures is a problem, but also drilling at the needed depths has the same risks and problems as offshore drilling, which can cause a huge insurance liability. That can make drilling for such oil, unaffordable.”

Isn’t this what happened to Deep Well Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico? I understood that the pressure was something that the latest blow-out prevention and then well-capping technology could not handle.

On a side note, where I live in the Carribean, there has been an explosion (pun not intended) of sargasso seaweed along the coastline. The environmental scientists figured that the Corexit used to dissolve the oil, when exposed to sunlight, became fertilizer for the seaweed. The locals said they haven’t seen seaweed deposits like, this ever.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

So, are you consumed with a collapse? No? Me neither

Nope. I try to enjoy each day to the fullest, however my career is one that’s susceptible to layoffs in volatile markets so one should always keep and eye out for that eventuality.

All I know is it’s wise to be informed and make choices/adjustments accordingly.

            Bingo.

Some people have discovered skills and talents that they would not have discovered otherwise because they made good money working for the industry
I write software for a living. It’s a field requiring perpetual updating of skillz. Especially if you’ve got to seek a new position at a different Co. Keeping one’s eyes open to economic volatility induces one to constantly learn. win-win.

          • RedInkMechanic

You’ve had your hat handed to you again, don’t slam the door on your way out.

          • Mike Smithy

            Dream on Slick-Dick.

          • Malcolm Reynolds

Simple questions he wouldn’t answer. Yeah, he really showed me.
            You got me!

        • BadApple

Yep, indeedy! Here’s the thing- I’ve been reading Michael’s posts for at least a couple of years now, and although the tone can sometimes be a tad evangelical (nothing wrong with that, different strokes…) I agree with him. A crash is coming, of course it is! Kondratieff et al make a convincing case.

I’ve also read Mr. Alwaystomorrow’s posts on many occasions, and I kind of agree with the sentiment (correct me if I’m wrong)- life’s a gift. Prep, heck yeah, but smell the roses too. I’ve been studying on this since 2002 and acted appropriately- got out of debt, paid my mortgage, bought land, stored food…and still I know it’s going to be a rough ride. It’s coming, nothing we can do about that- prep sensibly, and in the meantime love life.

It’s interesting how the dumb buffoon such as yourself continues to troll and then is amazed that your comments trolling this comment section are removed. You are simply not capable of handling reality. Now go back to Camp Fema they are waiting for you Sheep.

          • ALWAYSTOMORROW

Rorschach, I said I found it “interesting”, not “amazed” as you put it. Maybe keeping a dictionary near you and using it when you read would prove beneficial.

Your ability to read and comprehend what you read seems to be lacking. Sorry for that.

          • Rorschach

You are sorry for your lack of comprehension and ability to read? Doesn’t seem like it. Troll harder.

      • Steeve Girard

Over dramatize… reality is worst and unforgiving!
        .
The reality, is that it will not be over by 2020…. Because in 2022, there will be a new restart cycle of boom and bust due the dwindling energy efficiency. Also another one in 2030… but that time it will be an outright collapse, because the acceleration curve of energy loss will be faster than the inflation of money.
        .
It will not be over until we dump the fossil fuels, and return to our natural role.

        • Malcolm Reynolds

          dwindling energy efficiency
Your energy opinions are pure unadulterated bilge.

    • CASTIEL

I agree with you in staying out of debt…..and things are not so miserable yet….so we still can enjoy life the better way we can….but this economic recession will not stop…and the question its what this crisis will bring along. History teached us that a major war happens when a event of this magnitude takes place….like the great depression and the start of ww2….These problems persist and no one is ready or cares to solve that problems..Our governments had almost 14 years to solve this and they just increase the situation because radical solutions must be choosen but they want this incontrolled capitalism make us slaves by debt….where 80 % of the weath of this planet its in the hands of 1 %…….and one day we will face the consequences of stupidity and naivity of mankind caused by the greed of the wolfs and by the omission of acts of these sheeps….and this is just the begining….because in war we dont enjoy life…we just survive

    • afchief

Your right! As a Christian we are not to worry about tomorrow. Today has enough troubles of it’s own. Worrying if the economy is going to crash is pointless. You can’t stop it.

I agree with your 3 points but as a Christian I would change it.

        • Rob

Psalms 14:1-7 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good. (2) Jehovah looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God. (3) They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one. (4) Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah? (5) There were they in great fear; For God is in the generation of the righteous. (6) Ye put to shame the counsel of the poor, Because Jehovah is his refuge. (7) Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

        • Paul Patriot

Are you 100% sure??? What have you found that proves 100% that there is no God?

The Bible says that the fool says in his heart…there is no God.

So, either the Bible is correct or you are correct. No offense, but I will believe the Bible as it has been tested and sifted for centuries, and still proves to be 100% true. No one has ever proven it incorrect. Those who try become fools.

It would be better vocabulary if you wrote ” I refuse to believe there is a God” but, please do not make an absolute statement “there is no God” as I am sure you have not searched the entire universe and solar system to determine that.

There is a God, and you will stand before him one day and have to answer him as to why you rejected his clear revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I can’t believe Michael deleted the best post on the board… sheesh

You’re too dimwitted to understand that the best post is actually a post made by your fellow troll? No wonder you are laughed and mocked. Trolls such as you won’t understand.

Actually, from the comments I have seen from Sunny she is highly intelligent. More intelligent than most on the board.

            Sure thing Sunny.

          • Daystrom2012

Intelligent, but in a very lost way. She believes she is clever and is full of pride, much like the one she works for is and caused his fall from grace. Now she will mock and scoff at the comment about the wrong team and come back with a witty/intelligent response to that statement but deep down knows that something is missing. She will some day realize that she was on the wrong team, only then it may be too late.Repent and come to Christ, He will heal that hurt that is in your heart. She’d be an excellent witness for the right team and perhaps change that demonic picture.

          • nevergiveup

The problem is that most responses I see to Sunny and others who don’t agree flat out with what Michael / the Bible says are hateful. We are supposed to love people – thats what Jesus told us to do – love those who hate us and pray for those who persecute us – regardless of their response, their behaviour, their beliefs, their rejection of us etc. @ Sunny – if you are reading this, I am not being patronising or condescending – just saying it how I see it.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

You are right.. they are often nasty and frustrated because I think differently and enjoy myself

          • Rorschach

You don’t think differently you lack the capacity and the power to do so Sunny. You just parrot the agenda that you are paid to post.

          • ALWAYSTOMORROW

I do not believe the comment being offensive is what Mike takes issue with because it is NOT offensive.

I believe he does not like an alternate view that he may be wrong especially in his timing. Everything seems to be “imminent” here, Hows the R-E-D-A-L-E-R-T doing?

          • nevergiveup

A-T, I have had an occasional disagreement with you but I was sorry to see your comment deleted. From what I can recall it was practical, succinct and inoffensive. So I don’t get it. I have seen some disgusting and hateful comments under these articles that have not removed. If it was Michael / his team that removed it (which I can assume can only be) then I am really disappointed.

………..”God who created this world and man on it with all his lusts and then lets the world fully pollute itself….”

Sounds like you are implying that God is at fault. He is not the one to blame for the pollution you say.

God created man in His image.
God saw all that He had made and behold, it was very good.
And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Man himself turned to the creature instead of the Creator.
        &
        As far as redemption goes,

“You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.”
This quickening of a dead sinner is not a silent undertaking, but altogether His doing.
        Get the facts straight.

        • Rob

It is quite obvious you did not pay any attention to the summation of the sentence. It is very clear that I was speaking of man already in his fallen state. I know very well who is doing the work here and the order of Father’s work:

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day.

I wasn’t attempting to give an entire bible study on a post to a person who was just a tad more ignorant than your self righteous comment.

          • GSOB

            Clean up your summation.

You know what I find fascinating about this? Mr. Kiyosaki’s prediction. People like Dent have been going on for month after month, year after year about how the sky’s falling. But for Kiyosaki to make a prediction fourteen years ago – a prediction that now seems to be unravelling right in front of our eyes – is harrowing.
Let this sink in for a moment. What was life like in 2002? Well, it was JUST after 9/11 when people were still rattled by the events of that day. We also weren’t yet in the economic environment we’re in now. Social media didn’t exist, and very few households even had computers! For this man to make a prediction fourteen years in advance is impressive. Sure, he sold some books. But it’s a lot more admirable than the fools who try to push book every month and use social media to get “views”, “likes” and subscriber bases. I’m not saying I believe his predictions 100%; I’m just saying that he seems far more nobler than anybody else due to the geopolitical times we were in when he first made that prediction.

    • Rhialto the Marvellous

A prediction made in 2002 is nothing.
The Apostle John predicted 2000 years ago that we would have an economic crash and famine.

That’s nice. However, Apostle John did not let us know which year it would happen though. To make a prediction 14 years ago is quite amazing actually.. haha… maybe Robert Kiyosaki knows something that we don’t know…. (maybe he knows about the Year of Jubilee)

The stock market is a rigged game. It is what they use, to keep your attention. Remember audit the Fed? That idea died a quick death. They sure do not want anyone looking in that direction, do they. And while you think on that. Consider no one in the public, has seen into FT. Knox since the Nixon administration. Maybe that should be audited too. Maybe the real question, is anything about this economy real? Just remember the old magicians trick. The waving hand is a distraction. The trick is done with the hand, you are not watching.

In 2002, Kiyosaki wrote that the stock market would crash in 2016 as the first wave of baby boomers began to hit 70 1/2 in 2016 and started taking required-by-law distributions from traditional individual retirement accounts. Of course only a small percent of baby boomers turn 70 1/2 in 2016.

We have plenty of time, don’t worry. Dent has been predicting Financial Armageddon for tomorrow, for the last 15 years, as long as others. Japan is at 250% debt/GDP, and the Yen is the most safe heaven currency.

    • jox

Yes, it is inmminent in historical terms. All the process from 2008 will be seen in the future as a single spot in time. Do you think Rome fell in one day? One year? No, it was a process, but it eventually fell. And all the way down there were deniers saying “Rome is ok and will survive forever”.

  • Chris

I had a dream last night that the collapse is imminent! Does that count???

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

      Of course it does.

  • Stan

I’ve been reading “expert prognosticators” Armageddon comments say things like this ever since obama took office. There have been plenty of them stemming from all the QE’s, the massive amount of debt being accumulated, the dollar crashing and gold/silver skyrocketing, another derivative’s bubble ready to pop, Jade Helm 15 (& now 16), terrorists having their way and Fukushima radiation killing us all off. Because of this constant drumbeat from various sources including Michael’s, I have done some preparation. But if truly these authors who write about imminent Armageddon, why are they sticking around blogging? If I truly knew when Armageddon was coming, I would be in a bunker waiting it out.

  • ProclaimingGodsTruth

We should remember that all this is in the Lord’s hands.

For many years now, folks have been predicting this year or that year will bring financial disaster. Well, it happened in 2001 and 2008. They were Shemitah years and now we are in the wake of a Shemitah year plus a Jubilee year.

There’s a massive financial calamity coming – Black Horse of Rev 6 – and I personally don’t think it will continue to linger much past this Jubilee year.

Rates, stock markets, silver, gold can rise and lower but the Lord is in charge of them all and it’s in His timing that things will crescendo.

  • JI

Harry Dent had predicted massive growth in the stock market during the 2000’s, leading to DOW 55,000 by 2020 (as I recall, I was dumb enough to buy his book back in the late 90’s). The extreme bullish position failed with the 2000 crash, so he laid low for awhile and then came out of the woodwork selling books and newsletters with an extreme bearishness on the future.

Likewise, Kiyosaki also makes his money from selling financial books (and in his case, games). I read his books, went to one of his seminars, and, too hear him tell it, one would think he’s never made a poor financial decision. Stocks? Heck, he was ahead of the game and into leveraged options positions on stocks before it became trendy, and no matter which direction stocks go, he makes money. The real estate boom? He bought low and earned big bucks from monthly rentals, and now has massively appreciated properties. Gold? He knew when to buy and when to sell. Commodities? Their time comes every 25 years and he was right there with perfect timing. After listening to him speak at his seminar, and doing some basic math based on his claims, I figured he should easily be the wealthiest man in the world by now. Easily.

He is the one who, whenever someone tries to pin him down on what is the next good investment, always says, You must get a good financial education and answer that for yourself. Or, if asked a question that throws him, he responds by asking the interviewer what that person is doing to protect himself from the coming financial disasters. In other words, Kiyosaki profits handsomely from inciting fear.

I remember watching an interview of Kiyosaki by Alex Jones in which Jones was trying to get at what can be done to help others, and Kiyosaki would just keep asking Jones what he was doing to help himself. This sort of evasiveness punctuated by utter self-centeredness is Kiyosaki’s hallmark.

So although I think the owner of this website is correct that we should prepare for some tough times to come, quoting Dent and Kiyosaki does not add anything to his case, IMO.

  • Michael Dubin

This is no different than the other “collapse” predictions I have heard since 2009. There will be no “collapse” this year, or next. Life will go on just like it has before.

    • Malcolm Reynolds

Good luck with that. You have an amazing capacity to ignore what’s going on world wide.

      • Michael Dubin

We’ve been in a depression since 2009, as far as employment and GDP are concerned. I’m simply saying there is not going to be any “collapse”. The ATM will still work, food and gas will still be available, the dollar will not crash, etc. This is what I am talking about. And even if the DOW crashes back to 6K, so what? Most people aren’t that invested in the market anyway. We’ve had massive layoffs for years now, why is this year or next so special? It’s annoying that none of these people predicting “collapse” can define what that means. All they can say is vague things like “big changes are around the corner”. Whatever.

        • Malcolm Reynolds

“there is not going to be any ‘collapse’. ”
Sure, aside from the slo motion collapse that’s been happening across the planet since 2009.

“ATM will still work, food and gas will still be available”
You seem to be confusing the end of civilization with collapse.

“the dollar will not crash…And even if the DOW crashes back to 6K, so what?”
          LOL. Thanks anyway.

          • Michael Dubin

So what specific events are you predicting will occur this year or next? You’re quick to mock me but aren’t giving me any details on what you think will happen. What is your definition of a collapse?

          • Malcolm Reynolds

I’m not a fortune teller, so I don’t make predictions. I look at the facts and plan accordingly. Sorry if that doesn’t fit your agenda.
What is your definition of a collapse
See Greece. See Iceland. See Venezuela.

          • Michael Dubin

I have no agenda. I know things suck for most people, but I don’t see what is happening in Greece, Iceland, or Venezuela happening here, since we have the world’s reserve currency and can print money to finance the debt. Barring a natural disaster, I don’t see why there would be shortages of food or medicine. Again, a lot of so-called experts predicted a collapse and they were wrong. Why would they be right now?

I don’t understand why Mr. Trump is getting clobbered for what he said regarding abortion.

            Correct me if I wrong…..
Didn’t they propose a hypothetical situation to Mr. Trump in which “abortion was illegal” before they asked him what should be done to the law breaker?

If I am understanding it correctly,
Mr. Trump is correct when he said that the person getting an illegal abortion should be punished.

What am I missing? What did he say that was wrong?

            This baffles me.

Can you provide me some insight?
            What is going on?

          • Bill G Wilminton NC

WHAT WAS WRONG……Trump gave a GODLY answer in an UNGODLY country he said that the doctor AND the woman are guilty.

And then later backed off from the complicity of the woman.

TRUMP is the only candidate to answer that question of abortion and call it what it is MURDER and boldly state who is GUILTY!.

          • GSOB

If what you are saying is true, then it was a setup and he walked right into it.

            AND,
I would have to agree with both of his answers.

You are correct about the ungodly culture too.

However, Mr. Trump is not the only candidate that is against killing babes in the womb.

          • Bill G Wilminton NC

He is the only one candidate that claimed a penalty for the woman(mother)…..that took balls and character……

          • GSOB

Here is the part I am baffled by….

If it is against the law to go 75 in a 55 MPH zone, the law breaker gets punished.
If it is against man’s law to get an abortion, which it ain’t, but if it were – then the person getting the abortion and the one performing it,…. all that were involved with the killing of the baby,…….should be punished.

What a backward, upside down, self absorbed culture.

          • Bill G Wilminton NC

TRUMP was/is the only candidate to say that the woman should receive a penalty for having an abortion…..even though he later revised the statement HE SAID IT ON TV…….

          • Steeve Girard

People are tired of not having a choice in anything. Abortion is one of those choice. Do not impose a program on the people, tell them you will do everything in your power to provide food, homes, jobs and public security, tell them you will never look in their personal lives, their faith, in their homes, and especially prove it…. then the election is won. But nooooo…. they are all egoistic megalomaniacs…. All those candidates wants the people to be the subjects and being treated like kings. They do not care, and they do not want you to be free.
            .
At least Second Temple Jews had a law. If a Jew bought a slave… the slave had to give 7 years of his life to his master. His master had the obligation to provide housing, food and clothing at minimum. At it’s 8th year, the slave was sent free, unless he pledges to serve his master for the rest of his life, which those slaves were mark on the ear. But of course the Jewish had to “convert” the slaves to Judaism.

            1. Counties are losing faith in the value of the dollar and some are pulling out.

            2. All kind of stocks, real estate, jobs are plummeting WORLD WIDE simultaneously like NEVER before.

            3. Jobs that America used to lead worldwide like manufacturing, farming, retail, etc.are all at an all-time low which not only affects jobs buts trade. The fact that we’re the most hated country doesn’t help that cause at all, it makes it worse.

            4. Inflation has been creeping up for decades with no end in sight. Combined with the dollar already having lost 96% of it’s value in the last 30 or somewhat years. All the B.S. taxes and lost jobs, low paying full and part time jobs, Obamacare and raised taxes which are probably inevitable based on most of our presidential candidates.

            5. Negative interest rates are already taking place overseas, we’re next. Japan’s newest consumer craze = safes for the home.

            6. Canada has been hit with serious inflation recently, we’re next. For those that claim it can’t happen to us, Canada wasn’t a third world country either.

            7. The reason we can’t print much more money is b/c that would almost guarantee hyper inflation. When about 70% of the dollars that exist worldwide aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on due to endless printing for decades, even the FED don’t have a whole lot of wiggle room unit it goes “pop”. The bubble can’t continually be delayed by printing more money and getting in more debt while the value continues to plummet.

            8. The influx of immigrants illegally entering our country recently and not paying their taxes = higher taxes for those that are allowed to be here.
            9. If another WW ensues, that’s going to hike up the prices of everything again. How many nations and religious groups (that we’ve funded) wouldn’t mind doing us harm? Plenty.
It’s been said over and over that the bubble will burst soon but that’s looking more accurate than ever. The government tells you the economy is rebounding nicely. Take that and reverse rebounding with bottoming out and there you have it, truth. When was the last time the big bro actually let their people in on the truth?
If Hilary is next in office, we’re all screwed… and not just monetarily either. She is the epitome of a two-faced crook out to deceive, murder and steal. God help us all.

          • Michael Dubin

I agree with you on all points, but it will years before we see riots in the streets and people starving, what I would call a collapse scenario.

          • Bill G Wilminton NC

We just had riots in the streets of Ferguson and Baltimore……cities are now PAYIN thugs 1000 per month not to shoot anyone in Richmond CA and now D.C….

People are living in the woods all around the USA!. Here in Wilmington we have two areas with tents….one behind a walmart and both hidden.

If you look closely you will see them walking with small grocery bags….I was at a Christian bookstore and sat down to review a book and a man sat down opposite me, we started to talk and he told me that he sleeps in a BAG( he puts two together) . He has been on the streets and homeless 4 years “WELCOME TO THE NEW USA” he was not lookin for a handout from me as I had to insist that he take a small amount.

Without foodstamps now called SNAP the poverty of people would be obvious as SOUP KITCHENS would be everywhere and with big big long lines just like 29.

          • Michael Dubin

That’s what I mean. Half the people are dependent on the government for something. If our gov’t was as small today as during the 30s we would have witnessed riots and starvation on a massive scale. But now our gov’t can just keep people content with handouts, at least content enough that they won’t riot. They can do this indefinitely, that’s why we won’t experience any “Collapse”. I know the homeless population is growing, I grew up in CA after all. I just don’t think we’ll have the types of events that my grandparents experienced under Stalin with forced starvation and being sent to labor camps, or events people experience in 3rd world countries.

          • Bill G Wilminton NC

Normalcy Bias. It’s really hard for most people to imagine something horrible happening to them that they’ve never experienced in their lifetime. You “don’t think” is exactly correct because you don’t have any experience to relate to it. Be forewarned, you’re lack of experiencing horrible times in America means nothing to the reality that is coming. Even government can only print money out of thin air for so long before economics catches up with her.

          • Michael Dubin

It’s not normalcy bias. I’ve heard these “collapse” predictions a million times by so-called “experts” since 2009, and they’ve been all wrong. Why should 2016 or 2017 be any different than the past 7 years? Nothing major will happen this year or next. • BrokenBritain

The problem with all these doomsayers is they are thinking about today in normal financial/economic times, but we’re not living in those times, we’re living in insane times and insanity is lifelong. The collapse, in whatever form it takes, will not happen this year nor next year nor the year after, the current state of affairs could go on for many more years even decades. The central banks have not run out of bullets, far from it in fact.

We have not yet had bail-ins other than in Cyprus. They’ve not yet banned physical currency. We’ve not yet had negative rates on our deposit accounts. We’ve not yet had QE on all types of bonds and equities. We’ve not yet had asset confiscation, both personal and business (they will do this too). We’ve not yet had pension confiscation or nationalization (other than in a few small areas). We’ve not yet had welfare cuts to the degree required. We still have a public sector. Taxation is still a long way off from where it could be. I could go on and on. Wealth is being stolen very slowly so most people do not notice it so much and it does not effect us all simultaneously so there’s no unity against it.

The rampant manipulation of all the markets also ensures the current system will continue for some time to come – they work happily together to do this for their mutual benefit. Don’t believe me? Then ask yourself why there wasn’t a huge collapse with the fall of commodities, especially oil? They planned it and profited form it, and they will continue to do so.

They will dream up more and more ways of keeping this rot going, the insanity and criminality will get far worse. We still have far too many freedoms for these people, that will change too. it will only stop when the people say enough is enough and I don’t count that on happening given the majority believe things are fine now and whilst people are so divided (through manipulation by the ‘elites’ of course). These people control everything, the markets, politicians, media etc and as long as people think things are fine (which they’re only too willing to do) this will go on.

So ignore the experts as they’re thinking in normal times not in these insane times. I’m just tired of reading week in week out that the collapse in inevitable, it’s like the boy that cried wolf and it’s getting boring now.

Apply rational thinking to insane times.

      • BrokenBritain

As I said there will be a collapse (of some type), so yes I know the wolf will show up, but the collapse won’t happen for years yet for the reasons I’ve already pointed out. You may want to read my post again more closely.

        • Steeve Girard

Of course I saw your reasons to believe that it will not happen until a long while.
          .

If only I could remember his name….
          .
Well the guy was being interrogated about the dangers of their presence so close to the Tchetchenia’s territory. He said he did not fear for the safety of his crew. That the Techtchen rebels were not after international targets but were fighting against the Russian government. How wrong he was.
          .
When it comes to humans problems we can never tell if an event will not happen, but it is possible to extrapolate a mathematical window which shows that such events can happen, and when they are most likely to happen. Even if it’s crying wolf. Such models are always subject to revision, because like the year 2000 bug, people can go in overkill suddenly to remove the problem.
          .
Only Wyrd (uncontrollable destiny) decides in the end.

  • sistersoldier

The word “economy” in Greek is composed of two words: “oikos” – meaning house, household and “nomos” – meaning a law, an arrangement. An oikonomia – dispensing of the riches, taking care of the house, administrating the resources for the benefit of all. The one in charge of it was called a steward. The word for “economy” and “stewardship” is the same.

Our government has never been a good steward of money. The Pentagon can’t balance its books and it can’t be audited because it admitted it’s too big to be audited. America’s debt is largely owned by foreign nations and it makes us vulnerable to their undermining. Hillary Clinton (no matter what our personal opinion may be of her is correct about one thing), that debt undermines our capacity to act in our own interests and it constrains us where constraint may be undesirable (it makes us slaves). Proverbs 22:7 “The rich rules over the poor and the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.” It sends a message of weakness internationally. It is never a wise thing to stifle the economic engine of a nation subscribed as a super power.

Uncontrolled debt no matter the scale be it personal, corporate or national has systemic consequences such as turbulent economies, civil unrest, bankruptcy, poverty and other societal ills. Bottom line America as a corporation has demonstrated poor stewardship of the wealth that God has allowed us to obtain. Our economy likewise cannot be fixed by dead in the water campaign promises or blatant lies by those who solicit for change. We need elected officials who understand the connection between prosperity and well-being for all. By some estimates every American citizen is on the hook for $41,000 of this massive debt. If I trusted the men and women in Washington I would say that they have a solution but I am persuaded that because we are all accountable by their definition that this legacy will end in slavery. History repeating itself only this time unless you have the $41,000+ to buy you and your family’s freedom it will be a different outcome.

Solution: round up all of the politicians and put them in FEMA camps! Then America will truly be great again.

    • Steeve Girard

I think you are wrong about eco, but right about nomos. Eco would be more like household, the larger sense of house, which includes all the interactions of a home.

      • sistersoldier

The ancient Greek word oikos (ancient Greek:
οἶκος, plural: οἶκοι; English prefix: eco- for ecology and economics) refers to three related but distinct concepts: the family, the family’s property, and the house.

This won’t be a process, it will be a sudden “trigger Event” to blame the collapse on. It’s not time driven but event driven. With Greenspan’s statement that this debt ridden entitlement system (fiat money) must end is a clear sigh this can happen at any time now.

      • TheCogitator

Only metal you can touch and hold. Paper is nothing, a worthless promise and will be worth nothing.

        • Guest

So this Mr. Dent person says gold in its paper form will drop in value to $700? That is my question.

          • TheCogitator

I don’t know if he distinguishes between paper and physical metal, but currently the quoted price is determined by the price of paper contracts.

          • Guest

Took some work, but found the article. If I understood him correctly, he bases his predictions on demographics of various countries, such as China and Australia, and of course the U.S. I took note the article was written prior to current world events. Honestly, I really don’t understand how people can be making such predictions in a rapidly changing world. My former country of Canada has undergone changes in just the past year I personally thought were not possible. But they happened.

Things are not playing out as he had predicted. IF the price of gold does in fact drop to $700 in 2016 as he predicts, considering gold is over $1200 now, something will have to happen to cause gold to drop that fast.

BTW, Mr. Dent also said a LITTLE gold and silver invested would be good, not a lot. Obviously the understanding of the words “a little gold and silver” may be relative to the investor.

          • TheCogitator

I believe if it all goes to hell, the first thing people will want will be the currency they are accustomed to dealing with. Here that would be US dollars. The dollar is stronger than its fundamentals suggest it should be, but it is essentially the healthiest horse in the glue factory, and it is still the world reserve currency. When people realize that all the currencies in every country are worthless fiat that have been created out of thin air. It will be like Zimbabwe. That is when precious metals will be at a value that cannot be quoted in any currency because no one will want any of them. Dent may be right, but he seems to base his predictions on demographics. I believe in the end, that will not be the determining issue.

          • Guest

” Dent may be right, but he seems to base his predictions on demographics. I believe in the end, that will not be the determining issue.”

I am ashamed of some Christian authors that set dates for Christ’s return when they should know better. Sometimes I question the motives of certain ones that proclaim God’s Word. I think dollar signs are clouding their judgement. Yes……. we are in the last days. I personally thought we wouldn’t make it past the year 2000 in my younger years, but here we are. However, as Michael has been warning…. time is short for the world as we know it now. Yes, we need to prepare however we can, and first of all have our priorities set in Christ. As I remember our Pastor Mark Shell saying to the congregation years ago during a sermon, he was stating a writing he saw while in Israel. I believe it was near or in the area Christ was buried. “Pain and pleasure are for a moment, but eternity is forever”. Starting with me, we need to focus on eternity through Christ.

    • REALIST

Hey, there are some “pleasures” that last for ever. Back in my youth I spent a weekend with the best looking, hottest chick I ever had the luck with…….that pleasure has stayed with me for decades……yeah, baby…….

maybe you can take it into the box with ya……..

  • michael

first, the collapse would be in 2015, then in 2016, now going to happen in 2017? In the meantime, people continue to spend money for prepping for such event and sellers are getting dollars lined up by perpetuating the fear!

  • REALIST

Ya know, ever since some hashish addicted epileptic wrote “REVELATIONS”, we have endured this “End of the World” (as we know it) threat over and over.

“The North against the South” was the end but it was nothing more than an industrial tariff tax war that killed 500,000 white boys for no reason. Then the World Wars. Yeah, over and over.

The world is always coming to an end,but we keep on going. Babylonians, Summarians (which ever came first) Egypt, Greece, Rome, Nazi Party, etc. etc. etc.

STOP. Get up, go to work, love your family, etc and everything will be ok for you. You are in this world but not part of it. Relax and enjoy.

And you will die then face judgment.

All that is right, but you have to go Thomas Jefferson, once in a while, and talk, or else the politics and beliefs of others will take care of you.

Let us seek to be cleansed from the guilt and pollution of sins, ……in that fountain which the Lord has opened.

  • ALWAYSTOMORROW

Yes. Ballance is important in everything.

  • Patriot Alice

How stupid, they don’t even know if the stock market will close up or down Monday, never mind what it will do in 2017. Even the writer of this article has been the dooms day forever. I’m sure the world will end one day, but these clowns are just clowns with a computer.

    • Mr. Cipher

Why is a forecast stupid? We forecast in order to make decisions based on what is likely to happen in the future. No one knows the future but to throw your hands up in the air and say “I’m sure the world will end one day” Is just foolish.

  • alan

I think people are suffering from economic collapse fatigue. Everyone has a bad feeling, but you have to get up every day and pay the bills. I think we are going down the path of Japan, stagflation. This will probably drag on for years. In the end if the media doesn’t report a collapse did it really happen?

  • ALWAYSTOMORROW

    Like 2 peas in a pod. 🙂

    • Rorschach

The trouble is that Alwaysbanned has never seen a pea so he wouldn’t know what a pea or a pod is. Troll harder.

The newest episode of Michael & Meranda’s new television show can be viewed here…

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOJDdzNDIJk

In this episode Michael & Meranda discuss a 40-year-old prophecy from David Wilkerson that is being fulfilled right in front of our eyes and the places of refuge that are going up all across North America.

Before the great-recession of 2008 — when people were losing their jobs and homes — there was at least some “good times” in the years leading up to it. Home ownership was at an all time high. The economy was humming along. There was a build up to the cliff.

The great recession was supposedly over in 2013, but it was a jobless recovery. So it’s been not even 2 or 3 years, and already another impending recession is being forecast or forewarned by many economists?

Whatever economic model America is using — whatever anyone wants to call it — it’s not working any more. Hasn’t been for a long time.

As I sit here thinking about it, how comes the 2008 financial crisis wasn’t predicted? Was it engineered?

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

Yes 08 financial crisis was by design just like what is in front of us now !. All to bring in the New World Order Globalism of no national sovereignty, no borders, one currency, one world religion, one government, and then one leader. This is the return to Nimrod and the Tower of Babel which was the first attempt of NWO. All in the Bible !.

  • Steve

At some point the US Fed will have no choice to inflate the USD into oblivion. A new currency will be issued and all Gov and Corporate debts zeroed out. You tho will have your private debts recalculated into the new depreciated currency. Oh they will have a Scapegoat to blame it on.

Demonize China or some group. It’s going to get really ugly in the transition. Martial Law and no privacy what so ever folks. Look at Venezuela.

  • Steeve Girard

This hit the news some hours ago, Mossak Fonseca involved in big leak of financial crooks about illegal off-shore money, including international banks, people with power positions, athletes, and family members of people in power positions. Revealed by Frederic Zalac and the International Consortium of Investigating Journalists (ICIJ).

  • majorx

What particularly angers me is that our leadership going as far back as when they employed deficit spending knew they were embarking on a crooked and irresponsible economic path. Later as the hole they dug for us became too deep to recover from without economic disaster they embarked on a strategy to defer and delay the ultimate consequences from impacting them and their wealthy friends. Their objective is to ensure the vast majority of the consequences fall on the middle class and the average innocent citizen. Hence the strategy of bubble building with periodic crashes but isolated to a one asset class at a time. The elite perpetrated the destruction of the American economy since they adopted Keynesian economics but they want to make sure the average citizen bears the burden of the consequences of their corruption and irresponsibility. This may be the worst social crime in human history on par with the industrialized genocide of the Jewish people.

Loved the video. Blessings on your young family. I received an understanding from Abba a few weeks ago that there will be no more “super heroes” in the body of Messiah, just a body coming together as one, working as a unit. So much of what you said was confirmation.

  • Buck Russel

I think we are going to see a melt down long before 2017 The banks and financial institutions have been bleeding money for the past year on the stock market. I thinks things are going to really interesting in the next few months.

  • Buck Russel

Oh I believe that financial Armageddon will happen long before 2017 it will happen in the not to distant future.
