The Economic Collapse Blog Has Issued A RED ALERT For The Last Six Months Of 2015

Red Alert ButtonI have never done anything like this before.  Ever since I started The Economic Collapse Blog in late 2009, I have never issued any kind of “red alert” for any specific period of time.  As an attorney, I was trained to be level-headed and to only come to conclusions that were warranted by the evidence.  So this is not something that I am doing lightly.  Based on information that I have received, things that I have been told, and thousands of hours of research that have gone into the publication of more than 1,300 articles about our ongoing economic collapse, I have come to the conclusion that a major financial collapse is imminent.  Therefore, I am issuing a RED ALERT for the last six months of 2015.

To clarify, when I say “imminent” I do not mean that it will happen within the next 48 hours.  And I am not saying that our problems will be “over” once we get to the end of 2015.  In fact, I believe that the truth is that our problems will only be just beginning as we enter 2016.

What I am attempting to communicate is that we are right at the door of a major turning point.  About this time of the year back in 2008, my wife and I went to visit her parents.  As we sat in their living room, I explained to them that we were on the verge of a major financial crisis, and of course the events that happened a few months later showed that I was right on the money.

This time around, I wish that I could visit the living rooms of all of my readers and explain to them why we are on the verge of another major financial crisis.  Unfortunately, that is not possible, but hopefully this article will suffice.  Please share it with your friends, your family and anyone else that you want to warn about what is coming.

Let’s start with a little discussion about the U.S. economy.  Most of the time, when I use the term “economic collapse” what most people are actually thinking of is a “financial collapse”.  And we will talk about the imminent “financial collapse” later on in this article.  But just because stocks have recently been hitting all-time record highs does not mean that the overall economy has been doing well.  This is a theme that I have hammered on over and over again.  It is my contention that we are in the midst of a long-term economic collapse that has been happening for many years, that is happening as you read this article, and that will greatly accelerate over the coming months.

Let me give you just one quick example.  When an economy is healthy, money tends to circulate fairly rapidly.  I buy something from you, then you take that money and buy something from someone else, etc.  In a stable and growing economy, people generally feel good about things and they are not afraid to spend.  But during hard times, the exact opposite happens.  That is why the velocity of money almost always slows down during a recession.  As you can see from the chart below, the velocity of money has indeed gone down during every recession since 1960.  Once a recession is over, the velocity of money is supposed to go back up.  But a funny thing happened after the last recession ended.  The velocity of money continued to go down, and it has now hit an all-time record low…

Velocity Of Money M2

This is the kind of chart that you would expect from a very sick economy.  And without a doubt, our economy is sick.  Even the official government numbers paint a picture of an economy that is deeply troubled.  Corporate profits have declined for two quarters in a row, U.S. exports plunged by 7.6 percent during the first quarter of 2015, U.S. GDP contracted by 0.7 percent during the first quarter, and factory orders have declined year over year for six months in a row.

If the stock market was connected to reality, it would be going down.  But instead, it has just kept going up.  As I discussed yesterday, this is a classic case of an irrational financial bubble.  If I was writing an economic textbook and I wanted to include an example of what a run up to a major financial crash looks like, it would be hard to come up with anything more ideal than what we have watched unfold over the last six months.  Just about every pattern that has popped up prior to previous stock markets crashes is happening again, and this is something that I have written about so much that many of my readers are sick of it.

And without a doubt, our financial markets are primed for a crash.

Only two times before has the S&P 500 been up by more than 200 percent over a six year time frame.

The first was in 1929, and the stock market subsequently crashed.

The second was in 2000, right before the dotcom bubble burst.

And by just about any measure that you can possibly imagine, stocks are massively overvalued right now.

For instance, just check out the chart posted below.  It comes from Doug Short, and it shows that the ratio of corporate equity prices to GDP has only been higher one time since 1950.  That was in 2000 just before the dotcom bubble burst…

The Buffett Indicator from Doug Short

Let’s take a look at another chart.  This one comes from Phoenix Capital Research, and it shows that the CAPE ratio (cyclically adjusted price-to-earnings ratio) has rarely been higher.  In fact, the only times that it has been higher we have seen stock market crashes immediately afterwards…

CAPE - Phoenix Capital Research

Yale economics professor Robert Shiller is also deeply concerned about the CAPE ratio

I think that compared with history, US stocks are overvalued. One way to assess this is by looking at the CAPE (cyclically adjusted P/E) ratio that I created with John Campbell, now at Harvard, 25 years ago. The ratio is defined as the real stock price (using the S&P Composite Stock Price Index deflated by the CPI) divided by the ten-year average of real earnings per share. We have found this ratio to be a good predictor of subsequent stock market returns, especially over the long run. The CAPE ratio has recently been around 27, which is quite high by US historical standards. The only other times it has been that high or higher were in 1929, 2000, and 2007—all moments before market crashes.

But the CAPE ratio is not the only metric I watch. In my book Irrational Exuberance (3rd Ed., Princeton 2015) I discuss several metrics that help judge what’s going on in the market. These include my stock market confidence indices. One of the indicators in that series is based on a single question that I have asked individual and institutional investors over the years along the lines of, “Do you think the stock market is overvalued, undervalued, or about right?” Lately, what I call “valuation confidence” captured by this question has been on a downward trend, and for individual investors recently reached its lowest point since the stock market peak in 2000.

Other valuation indicators produce similar results.  This next chart is another one from Doug Short, and it shows the average of four of his favorite valuation indicators.  As you can see, there is only one other time when stocks have been more overvalued than they are today according to the average of his four favorite indicators, and that was just before the stock market crashed when the dotcom bubble burst…

Four Valuation Indicators - Doug Short

Another one of the things that indicates that a financial bubble is happening is the level of margin debt.  Whenever margin debt has gone over 2.25% of GDP a stock market crash has always followed, and today it is far above that level.  As you can see from the chart below, there have been three major peaks in margin debt in modern U.S. history.  One was just before the dotcom bubble burst, one was just before the financial crisis of 2008, and the third is happening right now…

Margin Debt - Doug Short

Something else that we would expect to see prior to a major financial crisis is a decoupling of high yield debt and stocks.  This is something that happened just prior to the stock market crash of 2008, and it is happening again right now.  The following chart comes from Zero Hedge, and it demonstrates this brilliantly…

S&P 500 HY Credit

Are you starting to get the picture?

And as I discussed yesterday, the smart money is beginning to pull their money out of stocks while they still can.  According to USA Today, mutual fund investors have pulled more money out of stocks than they have put into stocks for 16 weeks in a row

In a sign of stock market nervousness on Main Street, mutual fund investors have yanked more money out of U.S. stock funds than they put in for 16 straight weeks.

The last time domestic stock funds had positive net cash inflows was in the week ending Feb. 25, according to data from the Investment Company Institute, a mutual fund trade group.

In the week ended June 17, the most recent data available, mutual funds that invest in U.S. stocks suffered net outflows of $3.45 billion, according to the ICI.

Since late February, U.S. stock funds have suffered estimated outflows of nearly $55 billion. Those net withdrawals come despite the fact the benchmark Standard & Poor’s 500 hit a fresh record high of 2130.82 on May 21 and the Dow Jones industrial average notched a fresh record on May 19.

But it isn’t just stocks that are going to crash during the next financial crisis.  Bonds are going to crash as well, but what I am concerned about most of all are derivatives.

Derivatives are going to play a starring role in the next major financial crisis.  I cannot emphasize this enough.  In fact, if you want to listen for just one word on the news that will let you know that things have started to really unravel, just listen for the word “derivatives”.  This form of legalized gambling is going to crush “too big to fail” banks all over the planet during the next major financial downturn.  The “too big to fail” banks in the U.S. alone have 278 trillion dollars of total exposure to derivatives, but they only have 9.8 trillion dollars in total assets.  To say that they are being “reckless” is a massive understatement.

For much more on the coming derivatives crisis, please see my previous article entitled “Warren Buffett: Derivatives Are Still Weapons Of Mass Destruction And ‘Are Likely To Cause Big Trouble’“.

Of course I am not the only one that is sounding the alarm about what is coming.  Just consider what some very prominent individuals have been saying recently…

Ron Paul has just released a new video in which he warned all of us to “prepare for a bear market in bonds“.

Carl Icahn says that financial markets are “extremely overheated—especially high-yield bonds“.

Max Keiser recently told Alex Jones that a great financial collapse is coming.

Martin Armstrong says that his Economic Confidence Model predicts that the “Big Bang” is coming in “2015.75“.

Jeff Berwick of the Dollar Vigilante says that “we’re getting very, very close to the next crisis collapse” and he has specifically pointed to the month of September.

James Howard Kunstler has predicted that stocks are going to “crater in Q3 as faith in paper and pixels erodes“.

Lindsey Williams recently sent out an email alert in which he warned that his elite friend has told him that “they have a World Wide Financial Collapse scheduled between September and the end of December 2015“.

Gerald Celente has warned about “the Great Panic of 2015“.

Bill Fleckenstein has said that 2015 could be the year of the “big accident“.

Ray Gano has stated that we will see a financial collapse “probably starting in the third quarter of 2015″.

Legendary investor Jim Rogers recently said that he believes that “we will see some kind of major, major problems in the world financial markets” within the next year or two.

Alex Jones recently released a video in which he explained that he recently received “two different calls” from “extremely prominent wealthy people” warning him about what is coming by the end of this year and asking him why he isn’t leaving the United States “before October”.

Bible prophecy expert Joel C. Rosenberg has posted an ominous message on his personal blog in which he warned that “something is coming” and that “we must be ready”…

I feel a tremendous sense of urgency about this column.

The United States is hurtling towards severe trouble, and the events of the past few months — and what may be coming over the next few months — grieves me a great deal.

Something is coming. I don’t know what. But we all must be ready in every possible way.

When I read what Rosenberg wrote, it struck me that it was precisely how I have been feeling too.

In my entire life, I have never had such an ominous feeling about any period of time as I have about the last six months of 2015.  Like Rosenberg, I feel a “tremendous sense of urgency”, and I feel a great need to warn as many people as I can.

And it isn’t just a financial collapse that I am concerned about.  In a previous article, I detailed seven key events that we are going to witness before the end of this September…

Late June/Early July – It is expected that this is when the U.S. Supreme Court will reveal their gay marriage decision.  Most believe that the court will rule that gay marriage is a constitutional right in all 50 states.  There are some that believe that this will be a major turning point for our nation.

July 15th to September 15th – A “realistic military training exercise” known as “Jade Helm” will be conducted by the U.S. Army.  More than 1,000 members of the U.S. military will take part in this exercise.  The list of states slated to be involved in these drills includes Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, California, Mississippi and Florida.

July 28th – On May 28th, Reuters reported that countries in the European Union were being given a two month deadline to enact “bail-in” legislation.  Any nation that does not have “bail-in” legislation in place by that time will face legal action from the European Commission.  So why is the European Union in such a rush to get this done?  Are the top dogs in the EU anticipating that another great financial crisis is about to erupt?

September 13th – This is Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar – the last day of the Shemitah year.  Many are concerned about this date because we have seen giant stock market crashes on the last day of the previous two Shemitah cycles.

On September 17th, 2001 (which was Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar), we witnessed the greatest one day stock market crash in U.S. history up until that time.  The Dow plummeted 684 points, and it was a record that held for exactly seven years until the end of the next Shemitah cycle.

On September 29th, 2008 (which was also Elul 29 on the Biblical calendar), the Dow fell by an astounding 777 points, which still today remains the greatest one day stock market crash of all time.

Now we are approaching the end of another Shemitah year.  So will the stock market crash on September 13th, 2015?  Well, no, because that day is a Sunday.  So I guarantee that the stock market will not crash on that particular day.  But as Jonathan Cahn has pointed out in his book on the Shemitah, sometimes stock market crashes happen just before the end of the Shemitah year and sometimes they happen within just a few weeks after the end of the Shemitah.  So we are not just looking at one particular date.

September 15th – The 70th session of the UN General Assembly begins on this date.  It is being reported that France plans to introduce a resolution which would give formal UN Security Council recognition to a Palestinian state.  Up until now, the United States has always been the one blocking such a resolution, but Barack Obama is indicating that things may be much different this time around.

September 25th to September 27th – The United Nations is going to launch a brand new sustainable development agenda for the entire planet.  Some have called this “Agenda 21 on steroids”.  But this new agenda is not just about the environment.  It also includes provisions regarding economics, agriculture, education and gender equality.  On September 25th, the Pope will travel to New York to give a major speech kicking off the UN conference where this new agenda will be unveiled.

September 28th – This is the date for the last of the four blood moons that fall on Biblical festival dates during 2014 and 2015.  This blood moon falls on the very first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, it will be a “supermoon”, and it will actually be visible in the city of Jerusalem.  There are many that dismiss the blood moon phenomenon, but we have seen similar patterns before.  For example, a similar pattern of eclipses happened just before and just after the destruction of the Jewish temple by the Romans in 70 AD.

In addition to everything above, quite a number of economic cycle theories that were developed by secular economists all point to big trouble for America between the years of 2015 and 2020.  For more on this, please see my previous article entitled “If Economic Cycle Theorists Are Correct, 2015 To 2020 Will Be Pure Hell For The United States“.

Earlier today, I publicly announced that I was issuing a RED ALERT for the last six months of 2015 on the Alex Jones radio show.  You can watch video of that interview right here.  In this article (which is about three times as long as one of my normal articles) I have only shared a small fraction of the information that has led me to issue this red alert.  But if you want to know more, and you are not afraid to really go down the rabbit hole, I would encourage you to check out a full two hour presentation that I did down in Dallas, Texas on the nightmarish years that are coming.

The period of relative stability that we have been enjoying is ending.  What comes next is going to lead us into the worst period of time in modern American history.  I wish that I was wrong about this.

But the goal is not to scare you.  My wife and I live our lives with absolutely no fear, and that is my desire for all of my readers.  There is hope in understanding what is happening and there is hope in getting prepared.  Personally, my wife and I believe that the greatest chapters of our lives are ahead of us, and I hope that you have a similar outlook.

We need a generation of people that are willing to rise up and do great things even in the midst of all the chaos and darkness that is coming.  It is when times are the darkest that the greatest heroes are needed.

So what will you choose to do when the next crisis comes?

Will you cower in fear, or will you rise up to meet the challenge?

Please feel free to tell us what you think by posting a comment below…

Thanks for a very timely article Michael. I too am quite uneasy about our country and what’s coming in the third quarter and beyond.

    • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

      You are welcome Catman. :)

      Any relation to Catwoman?

As someone who saw the last crash coming, a few weeks before it hit. I find myself in total agreement. While I also feel no fear. I do admit to a feeling of sadness. I hope those in the big cities will heed your warning, and be ready to escape when the need arises.

    • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

      K:

I think that sadness is definitely an appropriate response. I feel sadness for this nation and the people that are going to suffer as well.

Michael, You are right on the money. The movie Star Wars is not a coincidence that they are releasing this year. Our true history is Star Wars…

The force awakens is real. Its due to that. This dimension itself is going to get effected after December 18th. Lots of Storms along with Civil War and collapse…

LOL…..This is on another level which comes close to being insane :)

      • Syrin

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE. I am so f’ing p’ed off that I imagine I have steam coming out of my ears, GET ANGRY !! Our forefathers got ANGRY and acted. Sitting around wallowing in sadness and self pity is the same as surrender. It is time to sharpen the pitchforks, light the torches and grab your neighbors. Otherwise you have COMPLETELY SURRENDERED TO THE ENEMY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • danbax

wont happen as people are pacified.

        • K

Do not confuse sadness at the suffering that is coming, with inaction. I assure you in my case, they do not go together. Anger clouds the thought process. I believe some very clear thinking, will be required very soon now.

          • 2Zymos

From experience, anger SOMETIMES clouds thinking other times motivates it and clarifies it. Do not confuse anger with rage (which many do too often). In all i’m glad that you are “active” in your response to these offenses and attacks. I am as well.

I feel the same way you do. Our Constitution is dead. Words have no meaning anymore.

It is time to play cowboys and politicians!!!

A society is naïve to think that to defy the creator will not have any negative percussions.
        (pun intended)

        • Nemnor

Pun or not, are you (subtly) implying that there was a time (period) in the history of the USA, when the USA was NOT defying the creator?

And IF you are indeed implying as I suspect, can you give a specific time (period) in US history, when the US was indeed NOT defying the creator (or to put it another way – when the USA was indeed obeying the creator)?

          • GSOB

At times, I just don’t answer the unregenerate. It’s over their head.

Lie down in a darkened room, place a rag dampened with cool water across your forehead and focus on your breathing rate for a few hours. You are getting needless excited about examples of historical Godliness at the cusp of the end of civilization. In other words, please refrain from rearranging the deck chairs while the rest of us attempt to procure some type of flotation devices!

          • DANA

God has a sin threshold. No individual or nation has ever been perfect or been able to perfectly follow God’s law, this is why we are need of a savior. We have been since our inception a nation founded by people of faith, this doesn’t mean we were or are perfect. This nation like all others has paid for its sins. I believe that we are about to cross God’s threshold again, maybe this time without the ability to recover. This may be just the end of our nation, or the end of all things (God’s final judgment), but I like many others feel God will make himself known very soon!

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

I hope to shake his hand.

Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD.

      • K

How much money, is your life worth? Few trapped in the big cities, will survive.

  • Kurt

I enjoyed your conversation with David Knight on the Alex Jones show today. You are spot on. I respect your openness to publicly point out all of the shortcomings in our financial system. We are certainly heading for challenges. I wish all preppers, patriots, veterans and constitutionalist all of the best in the months/years to come. As someone who works for THE major bank in Germany I can honestly say I see how the bank has positioned itself for hard times. BE PREPPED!

Yes, that was a great interview. It was enjoyable for me to watch Michael participate in a rarely seen video. I hope he does more of them in the future.

  • Dale Graley

Noah had warned his generation of the pending flood for 120 years as he built the ark. But they rejected his message and went on with life. We have been educated and warned of the pending ‘storm’ by many well educated people, clergy, and financial experts, including you Michael, who tell us that life could change for all of us in 2015.75. May we listen and prepare our hearts, lives, finances, and families for what is to come. And may we all put our trust in God – who is the only one who will sustain us during this time. ‘Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.’ Psalm 20:7

Ever find proof that homosexuality is caused by genetics? No? Or disproved that sodomy drastically increases exposure to STD’s and other pathogens? Or how about disproved the barrier-method birth control devices have a 40-70% failure rate? Or found studies refuting the fact that male seed contains immunity suppressants that can shut down the autoimmune functions anywhere it’s applied? Or that children raised by non-traditional couples fair worse than children born into normal families composed of their biological male/female parents? Or data that disproves LGBT folks are more likely to commit violent crimes? Or that LGBT folks have a 98% chance of having other mental illnesses and psychoses? Or that gay marriage wasn’t actually a right enshrined in the Constitution when the Supreme Court illegally created the right just like they did abortion?

        No? Neither have I.

A nation founded honoring God but that no longer honors him. -Check
A government that no longer follows the Constitution. -Check
A citizenry that is split half for government takeover and half for severely cutting back the government. -Check
An economic collapse that will destroy the financial, job, and real estate markets. -Check
Foreign countries and people who want to destroy us. -Check

Well, it looks like everything is checked. Catastrophe, here we come. I don’t think circumstances have been like this since the Roman Empire split into west and east empires.

    • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

Very well said Tommy. I definitely agree with your analysis. Just like the Roman Empire, our empire will eventually fall too.

      • tom

Don’t forget the Byzantine empire that rose from Rome’s ashes.

      • amongoose

And just like with the Roman Empire, the cultural rot, and seeds of destruction were sewn by those who called themselves their “leaders”.

        • John Byde

The leaders, the brighest and best, the tolerant. Not.

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

I don’t think it’s well said at all. Tommy thumbs his nose at the multitudes that honor god.. I mean not that I’m one of them.. just saying.

        • critical thinker

So then why did the economy collapse in 1929 when Americans were Christians & there was very little cultural rot?

          • Jerry C

Talk the unFederal Reserve since they admit to causing it.

          • Pastor Brian

There was a LOT of cultural rot. Google J Gresham Machen to get a better picture of the church situation, also fundamentalist-modernist controversy. And read Hemmingway for the cultural rot. The roaring 20’s were a time of all sorts of moral decay.

          • Mike

The economy is perceived by the public. If the public deems it a failure, then this what you have. People hold on to their money, no one spends. Without consumers buying, the system crashes. this is what happened in 1929.

Why “eventually”? That sounds a long way off!

        • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

Maybe not the best choice of words on my part. Sometimes I use “eventually” to denote years instead of months.

            Acts 4:12

          • DANA

Over 90% of the sexual abuse cases in the Catholic Church were priests with boys between the ages of 10 and 16. This was not a Catholic priest problem, it was a homosexual who the Catholic Church allowed into the priesthood problem. It’s called the elephant in the room everyone want’s to pretend isn’t there.

          • Gay Veteran

it wasn’t the Gay community that was protecting those pedophile priests, it was the Catholic Church

          • DANA

You’re still deflecting. The Catholic Church did conceal the crimes of the homosexual priests amongst them, but that doesn’t negate the fact that over 90% of the abuses were done by homosexuals against boys between 10 and 16. Homosexuals purposely infiltrated the priesthood under false pretenses and then used a position of trust to destroy the lives of innocent young boys. The Catholic Church was wrong in covering it up, but it was homosexuals who committed the atrocities. This is not relative and open to interpretation, it is FACT!

          • Gay Veteran

great strawman you built because I never denied the facts.
the priests that abused the children were EVIL, the catholic church which protected those priests is EVIL

There is nothing in the Scriptures which plays with the idea of an “evil” race versus a “not too terrible race”.
The devil does however play his part, preferring to have light shone on him, in the pulpit and while washing feet. All Christians carry the adamic/eve gene which is depraved beyond measure, but as a Christian with the Holy Spirit can battle Lucifer as Christ did in the wilderness, the “firstfruits of a new race coming”

        • FortuneSeek3rz

Fortunately, the steam engine, and subsequently the gasoline engine and the circuit, made that form of slavery extinct. Other forms still exist today and likely always will.

          • Gay Veteran

slavery was made extinct in American by the 13th amendment

          • FortuneSeek3rz

Formally, yes. But it still existed for many years after 1864. Technological innovation in the steam and combustion engine meant you didn’t have to be a slave owner to be profitable in the fields and farms anymore. And that put the nail in the coffin once and for all.

          • kfilly

The 13th Amendment end slavery and involuntary servitude. The 14th Amendment created voluntary servitude. The 14th Amendment created a new form of slavery, and it is a voluntary cast system that people enroll in. That is one reason they have the clause for natural born citizens and “anchor” babies. The state doesn’t want to deny new slaves from signing up for their servitude.

          • Gay Veteran

          • FortuneSeek3rz

            On that point we agree.

        • DANA

We are the only nation in the world to have fought a war in order to end slavery; yet it was practiced everywhere, still is in some places. By the way it was the abolitionist movement (a Christian movement) that advocated for and had the most influence in ending slavery. This was long before Republicans and Democrats tried to take credit for it. The “slavery card” as an attempt to slander this nations Christian heritage is both historically dishonest and a pathetic attempt to slander those you don’t agree with.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

Truly interesting historical points, but two wrongs don’t make a right.. slavery WAS there, the land grabs from the Indians, etc.
Using Christianity as a whitewash doesn’t change the basics of national evolution.

          • DANA

No, two wrongs don’t make a right, and America has had consequences for the wrongs it has done. The only thing I keep trying to emphasize (to the point of sounding like a broken record) is historical context. You have to look at what the world and most cultures were like hundreds of years ago. It’s easy to judge from todays lap of luxury and civilized society and all that it entails. Another good example would be the Japanese internment during WWII. Yes, it was wrong, we understand that today now that the war is over and Japan and Germany have been defeated, but what was everyone else doing to their enemies during this time of war and chaos? Lining them up against walls and shooting them in the back of the head, gassing them, mutilating them. We put those we thought of as enemies in camps and they were later let go. As a nation we had more restraint because we were good and decent people. Remember, future generations may have a lot to say about us today, so don’t be so harsh on those who came before us. Also, don’t be so quick to condemn this country, you will miss it when it’s gone!

          • John Francis

No one is saying colonial America was without its faults.

          • Gay Veteran

“…The “slavery card” as an attempt to slander this nations Christian heritage is both historically dishonest and a pathetic attempt to slander those you don’t agree with.”

just ignore all those slave holding christians

          • DANA

No, not ignore, just give the entire historical context of slavery in this country. You can’t say Christians were wrong because some owned slaves, and then refuse to admit they were righteous and good when they fought to end it. Our current generation and society does this, because we think we are morally and intellectually superior to everyone who came before us. I wonder what they will be saying about the murdering of innocent human fetuses a 100 years from now. Just because it’s legal and performed in a shiny sterile room with wallpaper, doesn’t make it any less than what it is, the murder of the most vulnerable amongst us. No excuses! Yet people carry on with daily life and allow and justify this practice. Christians have a higher moral authority which condemns them and keeps them from being able to deny truth, this is why historically it has self corrected. This can’t be said for any other ideological belief, which is why Christian wrongs pale in comparison to other religious and secular beliefs. Context is important, which is why progressives avoid it. I don’t think people like you even care about history, unless it’s used to shame and silence that which you seek to destroy.

          • Gay Veteran

“…Christians have a higher moral authority which condemns them and keeps them from being able to deny truth, this is why historically it has self corrected….”

well after 100 years the Southern Baptists did apologize to Blacks, so I guess in 100 years they will apologize to Gays

          • DANA

There’s no comparison between race/slavery and the sin of homosexuality, so no apology is warranted. Nice try though.

          • Gay Veteran

            missed the point, eh.
once Christians supported slavery and opposed Gays
NOW Christians oppose slavery and support Gays.

          • DANA

The fact that a human fetus has the right to life is not determined by whether or not I personally adopt. This is a deflection from the practice of murdering innocence for the sake of convenience. You put the responsibility on those who oppose this murder and not and a society that lacks self control and personal responsibility. Individuals on the left always deflect the issue or as they say “move the goalpost”.

          • Joe

No, slavery was certainly not practiced everywhere.

          • Peter Gipters

Slavery was never practiced in most of European countries. There are only a very few exceptions. Slavery was abolished very late in the US. In fact most nations in the world have already abolished slavery well before the US.

          • trustandobeyalways

Numbers that will blow your mind: the amount of northern soldiers that were willing to die for the slave was about 2,000,000..the amount of africans that survived the trip here about 10,000,000, but I have seen a much lower number. The actual dead union soldiers in toto were 360,000 and 280,000 wounded. so roughly one union soldier was willing to die for every 5 slaves. I hear Christian this and Christian that, which is the only faith that teaches how depraved we can be to lose our own Christian sensibilities. So, theologically speaking
it is Christianity that has an answer for this horrific history but also raised up the men necessary to defeat it.

          • trustandobeyalways

slavery was norm in france and england, and most arabic sovereignties..ie ottoman empire

          • Peter Gipters

Slavery never existed in England but throughout the British Empire but again abolished way before the US, in fact a law was passed in 1807 prohibiting slave trade throughout the empire. England itself banned slavery in 1102.
“We have no slaves at home – Then why abroad? Slaves cannot breathe in England; if their lungs receive our air, that moment they are free. They touch our country, and their shackles fall. That’s noble, and bespeaks a nation proud. And jealous of the blessing. Spread it then, And let it circulate through every vein.”
Black slave from US slave owners fought for the British against the US and of course they had a good reason – their freedom.
With respect to France it was very much the same – basically a few years ahead of the English.
Other European countries participating in slave trade were Portugal and Spain. For the other more than 70 European countries slavery was never allowed for the past 2000 years. The Ottoman Empire is not part of Europe (until its collapse they occupied some land around the Balkan) and their preferred religion namely Islam promotes slavery – especially for disbelievers.

          • trustandobeyalways

according to the BBC, Thousands of black slaves were brought to Britain by slave ships. In the 18th Century it was ” the height of fashion for rich ladies to have a black child servant.”
i have no further knowledge on this, but the BBC can be considered a conservative viewpoint said no one ever

          • Peter Gipters

The assumption that Africans in 16th- and 17th-century England must have been slaves is wrong. The English had one rule at home and another abroad!!! They had few qualms in trading in slaves in the Atlantic world when it suited them, but maintained that all men in England were free.

      • Bill

Sorry to disagree Michael but, America was built by those who believed in freedom not an empire. The robber barons thought they could make it one by manipulating the land of the free.

I sure hope all your work has been for the noble cause of protecting our great land.

I also hope your words “our empire will eventually fail too”, was just another poor choice of words.

        • JustSayin’

Many, including myself, do not agree with you that our “nation is great.” Used to be, but no longer is. Personally, Michael is being honest, which I don’t think is “a poor choice of words.” Just reality. The writing is on the wall.

          • Bill

Sorry to confuse you but my point is with the word”empire”. It is never been the intention of any “real” American to build an empire. It most definitely has been the intention of some misguided elitists to make America an empire. These elitists are the ones who have manipulated our country. We are doomed if we continue to act as complacent sheep in believing that our government is protecting what America was meant to be. Free and for the people.

Scratch “empire”, we have a crash to deal with and a country to save. It can be done if a way is found to wake up a couple hundred million sheeple.

          • http://www.onewildkiwi.com/ One Wild Kiwi

There is an empire Bill. An empire of the 0.001%. They own the media, the politicians, and to some degree even the education system.

    • Nemnor

At what time in the history of the USA, was it “honoring God”?.

Please remember that the very foundation of the USA included brutal (black) Slavery and the genocide of the indigenous (“Indian”) race.

      • GSOB

Look at it this way….there will always be distinctions and a need for salvation. When in your history have you?

“If Cain did not offer his gifts unto God by faith, then how did he worship?

The opposite of faith is by sight (2 Cor. 5:7).

Cain worshipped according to “sight” according to what his own senses and wisdom dictated would be an honorable gift unto the Lord.”

        • Nemnor

Mmm? My question is NOT answered. Your reply is completely meaningless in respect to my question.

Again, please tell me at what specific time (period) in the history of the USA, it was “honoring God”.

          • GSOB

USA is ambiguous when you use it to cover your sin as well as the peoples

          • DANA

It’s so cool and sophisticated to run down America. As the country is being overrun with people who hate it from within, and people who want to attack it from the outside, you have to distort history to play along. Many countries practiced slavery, we fought a war to end it led by the abolitionist Christian movement, and although tragic, 90% of Native Americans died from diseases (populations were significantly smaller back then). To claim that Americans, many who had deep faith in God, didn’t build a great country that we all benefit from shows how undeserving we are of it.

          • Gay Veteran

“…we fought a war to end it led by the abolitionist Christian movement….”

who fought slave holding Christians, so stop patting yourself on the back

          • Annoyingandlovingit

you want slaves, and dead babies

      • Orange Jean

Methinks you need to read up a bit on Native American history. Many of the tribes practiced slavery and there were always “war loving” tribes that brutally tried to wipe out various “peace loving” tribes.

Also quite a lot of places in Europe had slavery (though in some places they gave it a different name… like being a “serf”)… and not just black slaves either. Ditto on the genocide.

That doesn’t mean I approve or slavery or genocide, but I think it’s important to put it into perspective. We didn’t invent either of them… and quite a few of us come from families that were on the receiving end of that.

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

Ok, but two wrongs still don’t make a right. Christian teachings don’t endorse slavery, yet our forefathers practiced it.
Just because some indigenous groups practiced slavery, didn’t give us an intrinsic right to grab their lands.
Maybe their God said it was ok and they weren’t being hypocritical like the early Christians.

          • Orange Jean

I didn’t say it did and I don’t disagree with you that a lot of Christians were hypocritical (and many still are).

But I am not Christian and none of my ancestors stole lands from the Indians (or anyone else) nor did they own slaves. Fact is my father’s family were most likely serfs (being poor and Polish), but we also have lost most of the history of our family. I tried doing geneology, but never could get any further than my grandparents.

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

            Nemnor said
“At what time in the history of the USA, was it “honoring God”? and you countered that he needed to put it into perspective by pointing out previous culture’s practices. Why should he shift focus? It definitely sounded like you were implying that two wrongs make a right.

          • Orange Jean

I was commenting on his second paragraph, not the first one.

I can’t think of a time in the history of this country when you could say everyone was honoring God… including some who thought they were. Salem witch trials for example, plenty of examples in our history of people who thought of themselves as “good Christians” who I personally think were anything but.

          • DANA

The difference would be did the people of Salem think they were doing the right thing, or did they truly know it was wrong and did it anyway. At that time they were in a new land and had great anxiety and fear. This manifested itself into seeing things in an irrational way, which led to the executions of twenty people. We are just as susceptible to such things today, it would just look different in modern culture.

          • Gay Veteran

wow, your comments reek of unintended irony in view of your hatred of Gays

      • SunnyFlaSnotress

It honored Christian God after conquering and subduing everyone else. /s /jk

    • incorrect

But yet the economy collapsed in 1929 when most Americans were Christians so you can’t say the coming collapse is partly due to a lack of Christianity.

    • http://geostphoto.com George Star

God and Jesus are mentioned nowhere in the Constitution. This country was NOT founded on Xstian principles; it was founded on the principles of the Enlightenment, a direct challenge to the authority and institutionalized stupidity of the Catholic church. If you want to live in a theocracy perhaps you should move to one. Maybe you could participate in some beheadings and gay killings. That should cheer you right up. Freedom, democracy and reason work pretty well for me but some people prefer fantasy, delusion and superstition. We’ve heard the same fear mongering and paranoia for the last 8 years but I guess sooner or later Chicken Little will be right. In the meantime I’ve made a very nice profit ignoring the fear mongers. BUY GOLD BUY GOLD LOL How’s that trade working out for you?

    • RedTickAlert

Just to add to that, please search…..the following speech….there seem different variations of it, but all very similar……here is my favourite under the link

Paul Harvey: If I Were the Devil (1965)

      If I were the devil
      I would gain control of the most powerful nation in the world;

      I would delude their minds into thinking that they had come from man’s effort,instead of God’s blessings;

      I would promote an attitude of loving things and using people, instead of the other way around;

      I would dupe entire states into relying on gambling for their state revenue;

      I would convince people that character is not an issue when it comes to leadership;

      I would make it legal to take the life of unborn babies;

      I would make it socially acceptable to take one’s own life, and invent machines to make it convenient;

      I would cheapen human life as much as possible so that the life of animals are valued more than human beings;

      I would take God out of the schools, where even the mention of His name was grounds for a lawsuit;

I would attack the family, the backbone of any nation.

      I would make divorce acceptable and easy, even fashionable. If the family crumbles, so does the nation;

      I would convince the world that people are born homosexuals, and that their lifestyles should be accepted and marvelled;

      I would persuade people that the church is irrelevant and out of date, and the Bible is for the naive;

      I would dull the minds of Christians, and make them believe that prayer is not important, and that faithfulness and obedience are optional;

I guess I would leave things pretty much the way they are.

Michael, thank you for shining the light of truth on what is going to happen soon. You’ve been a great watchman, and I say thank you for writing this and all the countless other articles you’ve written.

I just shared your article: “Seven Key events that will happen by the end of September” with my Mom, Dad, and little sister. Mom and I are in agreement about what you have written is the truth, while Dad is unsure and my sister completely dismissed it as just another “conspiracy theory.”

I strongly believe we are in the lead up to the greatest, worst, and most exciting times in human history: The Rapture of the church, and the Tribulation period. I know you are Christian too. And you are keenly aware of what Jesus prophecised about these things. For anyone else reading this comment, please, before it is too late, if you haven’t come to believe in Jesus Christ and how he came to take away your sins and put you in right standing with God by believing that he is the Son of God, died on the cross, and rose again to life on the third day, I implore you to pray and invite him into your life.

We’re going to see the worldwide economy collapse, and see a one-world economy, government, and even religion come in the wake of this thing. This is what Jesus foretold in the book of Revelation in the Bible. The Bible can be counted on and you can put your faith in what it says.

And for those of you who are already Christian, let’s remember that Bible verse that says that when we see these signs all around the world, to look up, for our redemption draweth nigh! We’re going to see Jesus, and soon I think!

God bless everyone reading the articles Michael has been writing, he also is preaching the truth.

    Thank you again, Michael.

    • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

Thank you for those incredibly kind words Kevin. They definitely brightened my day. :)

      Michael

      • Kevin

Thank you, Michael. You’re doing a great thing here.

        • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

Every day I just get up and try to do the very best that I can with what I have been given.

That is all that any of us can do.

          • Bill

            Mission accomplished today.

    • Mike

The Rapture of the church and the Day of the Lord are the same event. I believe that the belief in a pre-trib rapture (popularized by Scofield and others) is what will cause the great falling away described in 2 Thess 2. Christians and non-Christians alike will go through the Tribulation period.

      • GSOB

The ‘great falling away’ has already been fulfilled.

        • DANA

I’m sincerely interested, why do you believe that?

          • GSOB

Better yet, why do you don’t believe that it has been fulfilled?

          • DANA

I guess because my church is still filled with good people and is actually growing. I think things are changing fast and the church will certainly be challenged in this country with the new Supreme Court ruling. I certainly believe in the “great falling away”, I’m just not sure how it will look?, and will I be able to recognize it?

          • GSOB

            You guess.

      • Whisper

It is the quote for those who believe in a pre-trib rapture–, Matt 24.28-“But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49. And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;50. The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51. And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This is the great falling away.

    • James Creighton

The most Christian thing I can think to do is to unashamedly expose the formal “high” religions (Catholic and Church of England) for what they are – political tools – wielded by the “elite” to control the masses. Expose and thus destroy them.

      • GSOB

There is nothing new under the sun.

I agree with you. Michael may not know who I am in this discus world, but he, personally, touched me and put me on a path that has been, to say miraculous, is putting it lightly.

I love the comment he wrote that we are tired of hearing about the warnings. No, the trolls are. Most of us come to a blog galled “the economic collapse” for THAT information, not sports or news about the Kardashians. We appreciate the hard work you do to get the message out. We appreciate the warnings. I personally appreciate the advice,

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

and me.. I think we will be listening to this panicky ..stuff.. for at least another year when at some point, a modicum of it, might come true.

I don’t have much time (wife’s medical issues flared up today; she’s gonna be okay). I wanted to throw this out about the gay marriage ruling. I’m expecting SCOTUS to unconstitutionally legalize it. This is defacto legitimizing of more than just homosexual behaviors: expect the courts to quickly (if not at the same time) legalize pedophilia, hebophilia, ephebophilia, bestiality, incest, necrophilia, etc. It’s sad, but I leave judgement to the Lord, Our God.

    • K

Glad to hear your wife will be alright. Stay strong.

      • VigilanteCaregiver

        Thanks K. :)

    • Patriot One

Your right! It only took a day or two to move from the Confederate flag to the American flag. They are erasing our history and destroying our identity. The largest Christian church is self destructing with a communist pope. It’s all happened before.

      • Gay Veteran

considering our massive war crimes, WHO would want to fly the AmeriKan flag?

        • kfilly

I would only fly it upside down as a sign of nation in distress, but most people wouldn’t even understand that.

        • VigilanteCaregiver

So, you’re disavowing our flag too? Seriously, just leave.

          • Gay Veteran

I believe in the idea of America.
You don’t, because you’re a boot-licking authoritarian. So YOU leave

          • VigilanteCaregiver

You believe in forcing people to your ideals. That’s what gay marriage is. And you’ve said before that you want to strip our 1st Amendment rights. Just leave.

          • Gay Veteran

hey Einstein, who is forcing you to marry someone of the same gender?

And you’ve said before that you want to strip our 1st Amendment rights….”

ok now you’re just flat out lying

          • VigilanteCaregiver

You are forcing us to accept it. Why bother going through the courts after the states made their votes clear (we placed it in our State Constitution; and a single, unelected federal judge threw out our state’s and people’s right to self-government to give you, a tiny minority, what you desire)? Why not take a few hours and fill out paperwork that creates a civil union (every state has that)? Why was the word “marriage” so vitally important to alter? Why are your feelings so much more important than anyone’s to the point that 5-4 justices had to damage our Constitution and rule of law to help you feel good? And did it actually work?

If this really was about love and acceptance, then the threats to business owners and Church’s would never had happened. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you; it never took place. Going through the courts to tear up the rights of a majority to create new rights for a very small minority where the Constitution doesn’t provide it, and let’s be honest – wasn’t necessary to begin with, is using force.

No one is happy about this. Not the majority whom the gay community has now pissed off. They were irritated with you lot before, but now they are really pissed at the supreme court and you usurpers. And the gay community isn’t happy either and never will be. I’m hearing news reports about how they’ve lost an identity of being downtrodden victims, and that they want to take more. It’s never enough. This is very predictable as homosexuality is linked to mental illness – especially narcissism.

And look at your own responses. Any person seeking acceptance would’ve constructively argued with evidence and controlled their emotions. Instead you say LIAR, or how’s the magic underwear, and expect that to be enough.

Sorry, but yes. Your side didn’t win. You’ve bastardized marriage; obtained it just like abortion was won. But, where’s the acceptance? Where’s the happiness and joy? Where’s the nation kowtowing to your achievement? So far, all you’ve done is piss off a lot of folks; and if there’s a severe economic downturn, what do you think those same folks will do to those who tore up their rights of self-government?

          • Gay Veteran

“You are forcing us to accept it. Why bother going through the courts after the states made their votes clear (we placed it in our State Constitution; and a single, unelected federal judge threw out our state’s and people’s right to self-government to give you, a tiny minority, what you desire)? ….”

based on the SAME facts you were “forced” to accept interracial marriage in 1967.

“…Why not take a few hours and fill out paperwork that creates a civil union (every state has that)? Why was the word “marriage” so vitally important to alter?….”

are YOU willing to trade YOUR marriage for a civil union? of course not, it’s a silly question

“…Why are your feelings so much more important than anyone’s to the point that 5-4 justices had to damage our Constitution and rule of law to help you feel good?….”

you’re confused, this is about equal treatment under the law

“…If this really was about love and acceptance, then the threats to business owners and Church’s would never had happened. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you; it never took place. Going through the courts to tear up the rights of a majority to create new rights for a very small minority where the Constitution doesn’t provide it, and let’s be honest – wasn’t necessary to begin with, is using force…..”

once again we heard the SAME old tired arguments against interracial marriage.

“…No one is happy about this. Not the majority whom the gay community has now pissed off….”

WRONG, latest poll shows 61% support marriage equality

“…This is very predictable as homosexuality is linked to mental illness – especially narcissism…..”

typical bigot, dehumanize those you wish to oppress

            “…Instead you say LIAR…”

sorry, but when someone LIES to me then I call them a LIAR. Don’t like it? Then don’t lie.

“…So far, all you’ve done is piss off a lot of folks; and if there’s a severe economic downturn, what do you think those same folks will do to those who tore up their rights of self-government?”

sounds like you need to move to a country where more than 40% agree with you. try Saudi Arabia

          • VigilanteCaregiver

No, trolls make that same comment you just did. I want a response with something… substantive. Is that too much to ask?

like in the Old Testament?A marriage between three people….”

        like in the Old Testament?

          • Gay Veteran

are you denying there was polygamy?

          • VigilanteCaregiver

I’m saying you haven’t got the full picture. Keep reading.

          • Gay Veteran

read what? the Book of Mormon? didn’t you guys practice polygamy?

          • VigilanteCaregiver

Yes, we did. My Great-Great-Great Grandfather had 4 wives.

Do you know the reason why? Many of the early Saints were murdered by mob violence. The reasons for this violence are numerous – we even had expulsion orders and extermination orders against us by many levels of government. Without polygyny, we’d be very few in numbers.

And many of the Saints hated it. They obeyed God’s will, but even Brigham Young is recorded as favoring death by disease to practicing polygyny. When the declaration came to end the practice, many Wards were said to have a sign of relief.

            Someday, do your own homework.

          • Gay Veteran

wow, that’s an incredible story of oppression, especially coming from someone who TODAY wants to oppress other minorities!!!

now why don’t you actually THINK about that for a few minutes and repent of your evil

            The ravings of a lunatic…

btw, some of my ancestors owned slaves and fought for the Confederacy.

BUT you don’t see me wanting to oppress other minorities.

you THINK about that for a few minutes

      • VigilanteCaregiver

Politico already called for polygamy legalization. Here’s the thing: people have been giving us Mormons a lot of grief for God-directed actions to preserve our families and Church over 120 years ago (Mormon polygyny). Does that mean we can rag on everyone now? :)

        • Gay Veteran

no, because many christians consider Mormons as belonging to a cult

          • VigilanteCaregiver

Um, actually many Christians don’t believe we’re a cult. We work with and alongside many Christian denominations for humanitarian and welfare projects. We get along okay.

          • Gay Veteran

Um, actually many Christians do believe Mormons are a cult.

          • VigilanteCaregiver

            And what do you believe?

          • Gay Veteran

            I believe we’re winning

          • VigilanteCaregiver

Odd. You’ve made no statement as to your end goal. How can you win, if there is no end goal that is sustainable? Survival of the fittest? Vast majority will be dead – civilization, even a base culture, is impossible.

Replenishing? How? Children will be shunned; women are slaves to men – you say. Not me twisting your words – that’s what you said. Children have needs that your line of thought will denies them. And many women will seek children anyway. Will they still be free to make that choice – or will it be the equivalent of an “Uncle Tom”? What are you going to do?

Food. Everyone will be free to choose. Who will work? There’s no profit in it under your ideals. Once someone becomes good at something and no one else is considered, then that’s a monopoly. You’ll have to break it up – you’ll have to force that person to teach others, make poor quality items, or quit altogether – remember; they’re free to choose! Right? Or… just kill ’em as a evil capitalist. A traitor.

Environment? It will kill often. Without enough people to sustain your idealist society, no comforts. Who will fix your A/C, your heater, water lines? Besides, it kills the weakest, right? Well, no problem according to Darwinian evolution.

What about disease. Hm? Will that be solved by voting it out of existence? A Supreme Court case to change it’s structure and nature? It’s a fair question – what is your idea to solve it? Oh, yes – blame others to ignore the issue. You have no idea how to solve the STD epidemics, nor do you care.

Winning? This is winning? This is mass suicide.

So, what do it do to stop you and your ilk from “taking over the world”? Nothing.

In a year’s time polygamy will be legalized, followed in a couple years by incest, and finally pedophilia – that’s where it hits the fan. Expect a new call for Victorian-style culture again; it will be met with violence from your side.

Before then, when polygamy is reintroduced, the reasons will be for the sake of women. That is already being sold out there: lack of men capable or willing to marry (MGTOW’s, inmates, gays, mentally ill, etc) has already created this vacuum. Polygamy will be accepted better than gay marriage in a year. Gay marriage is seen as a selfish act – no children can come of it, no long-term benefit to society; only short -term to practitioners – it will be unspoken among polite society. Polygamy is being sold as the feminist solution to the Alpha and gay male problem. Employed men of any class with a stable marriage will be openly hunted down (it happens a lot today, it’s just not acceptable to seduce another woman’s husband). Illegitimate (not of God) polygamy will change the paradigm: polygamy is being touted by feminists as a means to have a part-time husband for love, children, and such; while giving the woman time to seek after their own ambitions by sharing child-rearing duties with the other wives and husband. It’s not sustainable, of course.

And then comes incest as the new civil right, followed by pedophilia – Both are proven devastating to polygamist families; see what happened to the FLDS, LDCC, Greenhaven, Allred clan, and so on.

So, what answers do you have? None. What results from your utopian concepts? Hm? Death and ruin.

So, you can win, but so what? A society committing suicide considers it’s ruin a win in their eyes, too.

          • Gay Veteran

“Odd. You’ve made no statement as to your end goal. How can you win, if there is no end goal that is sustainable? Survival of the fittest? Vast majority will be dead – civilization, even a base culture, is impossible….”

jeez, the goal is legal equality, so stop wetting your pants over civilization becoming impossible.

“…Replenishing? How? Children will be shunned; women are slaves to men – you say. Not me twisting your words – that’s what you said. Children have needs that your line of thought will denies them. And many women will seek children anyway. Will they still be free to make that choice – or will it be the equivalent of an “Uncle Tom”? sorry but I don’t understand troll “logic”, the planet has a problem with OVERpopulation. Women will decide whether to have children, not Big Government and not fundamentalist ayatollah wannabes like YOU

as for most of the rest of your post, what in the world are you babbling about???

“…In a year’s time polygamy will be legalized, followed in a couple years by incest, and finally pedophilia – that’s where it hits the fan. Expect a new call for Victorian-style culture again; it will be met with violence from your side….”

had lots of polygamy in the bible.
and how do children give consent???
with you there is always a threat of violence when you don’t get your way

“…Gay marriage is seen as a selfish act – no children can come of it, no long-term benefit to society….”

hey Einstein, using your “logic” then elderly or infertile heterosexual married couples are engaged in a “selfish act”. Amazing how you want to tell people how to order their lives. I think they would tell you to go F yourself with a rusty chainsaw

“…Polygamy is being sold as the feminist solution to the Alpha and gay male problem….”

where’s your PROOF that feminists are pushing for polygamy? or is this just more lies to smear women

“…And then comes incest as the new civil right, followed by pedophilia…”

once again how do children give consent? and jeez, surprised you didn’t toss in cats marrying dogs

Sad days for your type, no longer will you be able to oppress minorities, and your ideas are left on the dung heap of history

          • VigilanteCaregiver

Okay, gonna try it your way, and see where it leads:

“jeez, the goal is legal equality, so stop wetting your pants over civilization becoming impossible.”

The comprimise to gay marriage originally was to allow the states to set up civil unions for anyone the electorate voted to allow. That was voted down in many states, allowed in several. It then became a court issue where the Feds went out of their way to tear up State Constitutions where they had no authority to do so. Then, through the Supreme Court, redefined marriage itself though judicial fiat. An unconstitutional act. The federal courts and federal government trampled the 9th and 10th Amendments to appease you personally and 1.6% minority against the majority. If this is you twisted definition of legal equality – then Seig Hail to you.

“sorry but I don’t understand troll “logic”, the planet has a problem
with OVERpopulation. Women will decide whether to have children, not
Big Government and not fundamentalist ayatollah wannabes like YOU”

What you’re doing here is called belligerence. It wins you no friends; well, not the desirable kind.

We are not an overpopulated planet. We are going through dropping replacement numbers due to abortion and fewer children being born. Check US Census, WHO, UN Statistic Office, and so on. The data shows the advanced nations are dwindling in native populations and need immigration from poorer countries with higher birthrates to keep up numbers. This is your sides weakness. All I need to do is allow your side to abort and import it’s way out of existence.

“had lots of polygamy in the bible.
and how do children give consent???
with you there is always a threat of violence when you don’t get your way”

If you bothered to read the bible, you’d see that God does retain the right to command His people to polygyny when war, disaster, or just to raise up larger numbers of His children suits Him. It’s by His discretion – not man’s.

Children cannot give consent. That is actually something we agree on. If you’d calm down and read what I write on occasion, I’m against polygamy, incest, pedophilia, and other nasty philias from being legal. I cited my reasons months ago when I said the human body during teen years goes through an ‘apprenticeship period’ where the body tests and refines newly active abilities – it is dangerous to use said functions at that time. That is why teen pregnancy has such a high mortality and birth defects rate for both mother and child. Teens do pass away from complications in pregnancy: the body isn’t ready for it and real damage can be done!

And the violence is very well documented as already coming from your side. Just have to google it. The evidence for violence from LGBT folks is surprisingly high for a “peace loving group under the domination of religious fundamentalists.” Many faiths have given in to your sides demands, but that hasn’t tamped down the violence.

That next one about Einstein I won’t even bother with. Just more proof about how violent a person you are.

“where’s your PROOF that feminists are pushing for polygamy? or is this just more lies to smear women”

            Headlines:

Salon website: “Legalize Polygamy: Marriage Equality for all” cites feminists vouching for polygamy. And “Legalize Polygamy – No, I’m Not Kidding” written by a self-identified feminist.

Academia website published this research paper “Liberal Feminism and the Ethics of Polygamy” it’s well written, though I disagree with their conclusion.

Everyday Feminism Magazine published “More Than Two: Examining the Myths and Facts of Polymory” Polymory is not polygyny or strictly polygamy per se, but it’s included in their concept.

            Want more?

“once again how do children give consent? and jeez, surprised you didn’t toss in cats marrying dogs”

Already covered that children cannot give consent. I also include that children should not in any way, shape, or form be included or used as sexual beings. They are children and should have a decent childhood. Sexuality is best kept for adulthood as determined by our biology.

The cats and dogs comment is just silly.

Oppress minorities? Well, you all made the choice to be your own way. Just I did. If homosexuality didn’t affect my home, cost me wealth, or caused any problems; I’d have no issue with it. Problem is, this fight your lot dragged us into does now affect our homes, does affect our families and faiths, and is quite violent. This is well documented. Did we oppress you? No – you made the choice to go against the majority. Which is fine if it’s non-violent and beneficial. There’s no proof of peaceful intent and actions, and no proof of benefits to civilization.

So, will my ideas be left on the dung heap? No – they are civilized.

“The comprimise to gay marriage originally was to allow the states to set up civil unions for anyone the electorate voted to allow….”

AGAIN, would you trade your marriage for a civil union?

“…That was voted down in many states, allowed in several. It then became a court issue where the Feds went out of their way to tear up State Constitutions where they had no authority to do so. Then, through the Supreme Court, redefined marriage itself though judicial fiat. An unconstitutional act….”

and your type in 1967 said the VERY SAME THING when the Supreme Court overruled laws against interracial marriage

“…The federal courts and federal government trampled the 9th and 10th Amendments to appease you personally and 1.6% minority against the majority….”

so using your “logic” then Mormons (who also represent a small minority) should not have legal equality

          • Gay Veteran

“…We are not an overpopulated planet. We are going through dropping replacement numbers due to abortion and fewer children being born. Check US Census, WHO, UN Statistic Office, and so on. The data shows the advanced nations are dwindling in native populations and need immigration from poorer countries with higher birthrates to keep up numbers….”

wow, the stoopid is strong with this one! so America needs to allow yet more immigration?!?!?!? our unemployed CITIZENS would certainly approve of that

“…If you bothered to read the bible, you’d see that God does retain the right to command His people to polygyny when war, disaster, or just to raise up larger numbers of His children suits Him. It’s by His discretion – not man’s…..”

ROFLOL, yeah, guess it suited him to command Mormons to have polygamy, until the Mormons wanted Utah to become a state!

“…Children cannot give consent. That is actually something we agree on….”

well even a stopped clock is right twice a day

“…And the violence is very well documented as already coming from your side. Just have to google it. The evidence for violence from LGBT folks is surprisingly high for a “peace loving group under the domination of religious fundamentalists.”…”

riiiiiiiiiight, there are hoards of violent Gays attacking you religious folks. Maybe your magic undergarments are a little too tight.

“…That next one about Einstein I won’t even bother with. Just more proof about how violent a person you are….”

let me repeat it because you deliberately missed the point:

hey Einstein, using your “logic” then elderly or infertile heterosexual married couples are engaged in a “selfish act”. Amazing how you want to tell people how to order their lives. I think they would tell you to go F yourself with a rusty chainsaw

“…Salon website: “Legalize Polygamy: Marriage Equality for all” cites feminists vouching for polygamy. And “Legalize Polygamy – No, I’m Not Kidding” written by a self-identified feminist….”

well if ONE feminist wrote it then it is obvious that ALL feminists want polygamy. you’re not very good with the logic thing are you? can you even point to a poll which shows that a simple majority of feminists support polygamy???

“…I also include that children should not in any way, shape, or form be included or used as sexual beings. They are children and should have a decent childhood. Sexuality is best kept for adulthood as determined by our biology….”

really? “SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Mormon church acknowledges in a new essay that founder Joseph Smith had a teenage bride and was married to other men’s wives during the faith’s early polygamous days…
One of them, however, was a 14-year-old girl who was the daughter of Smith’s close friends.
…Other writings posted in the past couple of years have addressed…a past ban on black men in the lay clergy….”

sorry, I won’t be taking any lectures on morality from a member of the Mormon CULT!
“…Oppress minorities? Well, you all made the choice to be your own way. Just I did. If homosexuality didn’t affect my home, cost me wealth, or caused any problems; I’d have no issue with it. Problem is, this fight your lot dragged us into does now affect our homes, does affect our families and faiths, and is quite violent. This is well documented. Did we oppress you? No – you made the choice to go against the majority. Which is fine if it’s non-violent and beneficial. There’s no proof of peaceful intent and actions, and no proof of benefits to civilization”
I’m sure you made the “choice” to be heterosexual.
and your ignorance of American history is simply appalling
and your lust for the good ole days when minorities knew their place is simply pathetic

          • VigilanteCaregiver

“well if ONE feminist wrote it then it is obvious that ALL feminists want polygamy.”

I gave you five articles. Not one.

And your belief that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a cult is truly laughable. Obviously, you haven’t done any research of the Church, it’s doctrines, it’s influence, or it’s stated goals.

And yet, you say I’m ignorant.

As for oppressing minorities, the Constitution provided legal means for the government not to oppress minorities as to basic human rights. As for the people – all are free. You have no ‘right’ to not have your feelings hurt or to not deal with discrimination. You’re the best example of this as you are very openly discriminating against me, Christians, families, Mormons, conservatives, America, etc. If you really believed in no discrimination, you’d practice tolerance. I don’t believe in your hypocritical ideals of non-discrimination legislation practiced as oppression; so you calling me a bigot and discriminatory doesn’t matter. My ideas of discrimination don’t include harming people for not baking a cake, or catering pizza at my wedding – I’m a better man than that. The act of cakemaking or pizza baking is not religious, it’s being forced to go against their religious beliefs to support something they shouldn’t have to support. How horrible that those gay couples wanted to discriminate and cause actual harm. I’d have gone elsewhere and not bothered.

Well, this has been fun, but I’m gonna move onto other stories. The only reason I debate your sorry self is it makes proving my points easier. Thank you troll!

try going to a few fundamentalist websites and see what they say about Mormons and Catholics

          • VigilanteCaregiver

Fundamentalists are not mainstream nor authorities. They’re outliers. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has no fundamentalists; you either are, or your not. Catholics have their cliques, but they still obey the Pope and canonized scripture to be called a Catholic. Try actually researching this stuff before hand.

          • Gay Veteran

            try a simple Google search:

            Southern Baptist Beliefs About Mormonism

“The Southern Baptist Convention is a Christian denomination with more than 16 Million members, making it one of the largest Protestant denominations in the world…

In 1997, SBCLife, an official journal publication of the Southern Baptist Convention, ran an article entitled, “Bizarre Theology Does Not Prevent Mormonism’s Growth.” The article warned of the rapid rise of Mormonism and instructed Southern Baptists to pray for those who had been “ensnared by the attractive nature of Mormonism but are unaware of its unbiblical doctrines.”…”

          • VigilanteCaregiver

Umm.. that was 1997. Today the Mormon Church works with Southern Baptist Ministries for humanitarian and welfare programs. I’ve been involved with a few of those projects. Nice folks! Look at LDSCharities dot org for the proof.

          • Gay Veteran

can you point to any polls showing that a majority of Southern Baptists don’t think Mormons belong to a demonic cult?

          • VigilanteCaregiver

            Polls? That’s desperate.

I already posted a website showing we’re working together and you have to ignore the proof you’re wrong.

          • Gay Veteran

you showed a FEW southern Baptists work with Mormons, but what about the MAJORITY?
so yeah, I understand why you don’t want to give any polling data

          • Gay Veteran

            .
            Southern Baptists vs. the Mormons

“…For nearly the past 40 years, the Southern Baptist Convention has devoted considerable effort to teaching its members about the dangers of Mormonism. In fact, probably no other organization in the nation has played a bigger role in perpetuating the idea that Mormonism is a cult than the Southern Baptist Convention…

They[SBC] developed programs, trained pastors, hosted Mormonism-awareness conferences, and published articles to help spread the message to Southern Baptists that Mormonism was a dangerous cult religion they had to avoid. The SBC’s Sunday School Board developed an instruction kit, “The Christian Confronting the Cults,” that covered five religious groups: the Mormon Church, Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Worldwide Church of God, the Unification Church (the Moonies), and Christian Scientists…

The effort didn’t end after the ’80s came to a close. In 1998, the SBC held its annual convention in enemy territory: Salt Lake City, the Mormon Church’s headquarters. Three thousand Southern Baptist volunteers went on a door-to-door missionary effort bringing the evangelical message to Mormon neighborhoods. While the SBC engaged in such outreach during every yearly meeting, regardless of the locale, the missionary work in Salt Lake City had a more obvious goal than when the convention-goers visited Indianapolis or Philadelphia. To equip the volunteers, the SBC developed a video called The Mormon Puzzle and distributed copies of it with a book titled Mormonism Unmasked. Both works promised to “lift the veil from one of the greatest deceptions in the history of religion,” a blurb on the book’s cover announced…

One minister opened his sermon to the convention by describing Salt Lake City as “headquarters of a counterfeit Christianity.” And a resolution passed affirming “biblical revelation as the sole source of saving truth” struck many observers as a jab at Mormonism’s extrabiblical scriptures, including the Book of Mormon….”

Oh puh-LEASE. Anyone who thinks that legalizing gay marriage is going to lead to legalized pedophilia, bestiality, incest, etc. is an idiot. Plain and simple, a complete and utter idiot. There is NO connection other than in the minds of the delusional and the ultra-phobic.

If you can’t see the difference between two consenting adults and an adult raping a child, I feel very sad for you.

      • kfilly

They are already working on legalizing pedophilia. As far as homosexuality goes, I don’t care as long it is two consenting adults. Do whatever floats your boat just as long as it isn’t forced upon me. I will let you be if you let me be. I just believe you will have to come face to face with God some day and meet His judgement which will be far more severe than anything I could ever do. When children become involved that is sick and wrong.

        • Gay Veteran

“They are already working on legalizing pedophilia….”

well, the pedophiles may be, but not the rest of the 99.99% of the country

we’re a fascist country and it is not because minorities are obtaining equal rights.

Yes, they are going to legalize pedophilia, incest, bestiality, polygamy, et al. Polygamy is going to be first: Politico, New York Times, Slate, Vox, and so on already published articles and opinion pieces calling for polygamy legalization citing that same-sex marriage legalization will usher it in.

Someone who is acutely aware of all the “philias” based on age groups is certainly a pedophile himself.

      • VigilanteCaregiver

It’s called “access to an encyclopedia”. Check your libel.

        • Marco

Sure. We look up in an encyclopedia those things that most interest us. Get a life and stop molesting kids.

          • VigilanteCaregiver

Okay, so you’re desperate to discredit.

In Sun Zhu’s marvelous work “The Art of War”, he clearly states that “All warfare is based on deception.” That is why truth is imperative right now. To declare with accuracy exactly what is planned by an enemy demolishes an enemy’s ability to hide their intended results.

He also states: “If your opponent is of choleric temper, seek to irritate him.” That’s exactly what I’m doing. You’re obviously irritated. I do it to others too. Another point he makes (not directly) is to know your enemy. That’s what I’ve done. I have researched as many documents and records that I can and Identified trends and language: that’s how I know all these big words!

The problem is folks on your side have a plethora of weaknesses to exploit. For one; most of you have become “lighting rods” of sorts – I can use simple truths and words to manipulate your emotions, because you personally won’t guard your feelings. That shows remarkable weakness of character for your lot. All I have to do is keep testing your psyche and you all will supply me with the means to defeat your arguments, falsehoods, and identity when someone uses Alinsky tactics – like what you’re doing here by accusing me of pedophilia without any evidence. It’s called projection: accusing someone of your own sins. I didn’t accuse anyone of practicing it; I said folks are working towards legalizing it and that’s a bad thing – then you manipulated that into I’m a pedophile. That’s Saul Alinky’s method to stop opponents.

You hand me weapons to defeat you, and not just online. I do this in public too. The last guy who made an unfounded public accusation against me was immediately slapped with a libel suit (I love getting your lot on camera): he rescinded and apologized quickly. Since we’re all anonymous here, I’ll let it slide.

          • Gay Veteran

Right now I’m icing my knuckles from an incident this morning where a naked guy from your side tried attacking some of our elderly members outside our ward building (yes; he was high on something and spouting pro-gay slogans). Been such a long time since I cracked knuckles on another bloke – takes me back to my childhood vigilante days; hunting down local gang members, school bullies, and feral dogs. I have gotten soft!

And since you obviously are very angry at my responses shows your arguments are weak, your mentality is questionable, and I really don’t care about your precious narcissistic feelings.

“…All gay marriage has done is cause chaos. Right now I’m icing my knuckles from an incident this morning where a naked guy from your side tried attacking some of our elderly members outside our ward building….”
sorry, I don’t think like a troll, what does marriage equality have to do with the naked guy???

          • guest

            A job well done brother.

          • Gay Veteran

well obviously he represents all Gays

          • VigilanteCaregiver

Well, now that you brought it up – here’s another!

A gay man from Delta, Utah (Rick Jones, 22) was claiming to be the victim of multiple hate crimes: firebombed home, gay slur knifed into his arm, beaten unconcious, robbed of $1400 from his business safe. It’s major news in Utah – even the Governors office got involved.

Problem is… he staged the whole thing. Even carving a gay slur into his own arm! His reasoning seems to be that he wasn’t discriminated against, and needed to be – one way or another. Mr. Jones is facing criminal charges now. I don’t need to provide a link; you can search for it – even AP has the story.

And this isn’t the only incidence of the downtrodden minorities faking their own discrimination. I’ve got a lot on file.

How much, or what parts of your lot is real?

          • Gay Veteran

sooooooooooooo, using your “logic” then ANY Mormon who commits a crime proves that ALL Mormons are criminals

          • VigilanteCaregiver

Strawman argument, again. This is boring.

          • Gay Veteran

I hope other Mormons aren’t as pathetically stoopid as you are.
now don’t you have some magic undergarments to wash?

          • Gay Veteran

“…Right now I’m icing my knuckles from an incident this morning where a naked guy from your side tried attacking some of our elderly members outside our ward building….”

bet you got a stiffie from that

    • VigilanteCaregiver

Got this from the Mormon Church authorities today:

“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints acknowledges that following today’s ruling by the Supreme Court, same-sex marriages are now legal in the United States. The Court’s decision does not alter the Lord’s doctrine that marriage is a union between a man and a woman ordained by God. While showing respect for those who think differently, the Church will continue to teach and promote marriage between a man and a woman as a central part of our doctrine and practice.”

      • Gay Veteran

“…The Court’s decision does not alter the Lord’s doctrine that marriage is a union between a man and a woman ordained by God…..”
        hypocrites, they still want polygamy

        • VigilanteCaregiver

Proof? Evidence? You got anything to back this up?

          • Gay Veteran

oh, so there’s no cult members that don’t want polygamy???

“…Centennial Park, Ariz., is a remote town just over the Utah border and it is home to 1,500 fundamentalist Mormons. They still believe that plural marriage, one of the religious teachings of Mormon founder Joseph Smith, was ordained by God and that a man receives a higher form of Salvation when he has several wives….”

          • VigilanteCaregiver

They are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Those folks were excommunicated over 100 years ago; we rarely ever speak with these folks. And what’s more interesting is they are well connected to the Obama Administration: The FLDS were heavy donors to Janet Napolitano during her tenure as Governor of Arizona, and to many far-left politicians.

Real Mormons believe that marriage is between one man and one woman, and is ordained by God.

Try doing actual research for once.

          • Gay Veteran

I agree with you. We can expect the godless to embrace homosexual “marriage” but we will see which churches cave to this and which will not comply. When the attack comes, it comes to churches and church leaders first. So the question to every American is: which will you choose – God or Baal?

1 quadrillions Zimbabweans Dollars that you are wrong… and I – at least – put my name in my comment. If you are so sure and you have no fear of being wrong, put you name instead of “That Guy”…

Fact is, I would prefer Michael to be totally wrong and look like an idiot (as well as me). BTW I’m not an American, but a European. The ominous feeling that many people in America have, is the same on the other side of the Atlantic, and other part of the world. It is “in the air”… Europe is a mess (to say the least), America is on the verge of precipice, China Stock Market is collapsing (according to the last news from Bloomberg), there are Real Estate Bubble in nearly every other rich countries, many of the OPEC have some difficulties, etc, etc, you name it…

Although I do not share is Socialistic alternative view, Nemnor would indicate this NEO-Capitalist System is rotten – and on that I agree with him. The Capitalist System as such is not bad at all, but what as been done with it for many decades now is quite evil (hence the term NEO-Capitalism – instead of OLD-Capitalism – as we call it in Europe).

In any case, the normalcy bias is such ingrained in people that as long as they are not touched personally they will not really believe it. The problem is that when it touches people it is to late… thence the warnings of many like Michael, Peter Schiff, Mike Maloney, Ron Paul, etc.

      • Orange Jean

Thanks for putting in your 2 cents (or would that be X number of quadrillions Zimbabwean Dollars?)!

I like hearing the perspective of people in other countries, as long as they are not just America hating trolls. Or those who think to lecture us about what this country is like who’ve no idea what they are talking about.

Michael: I and many others feel the same that ominous times are very shortly coming to this once great country in the form of Diabolical Disorientation. At least 50% or more of the citizen’s have lost their moral compass. We now have a completely tyrannical “gov’t and mostly corrupt pol’s. God has greatly blessed this country and most have turned their back’s on HIM. The time of His wrath, whatever that may be, will bring this country to it’s knees. That is the ONLY way , unfortunately, that will bring this country back to Him and it’s collective sense. May God have mercy on this country.

    • Carl

Why would god bless a country that has done terrible things to others in many parts of the world? Does not sound just or right to me.

      • loadnup

Through repentance, deep, sincere repentance and a commitment to offend Him no more. That is the only solution but it must be done by the whole and not a subset. So, we all know the “whole” in today’s world will not repent so, like Michael says in the article, it is going to get so ugly, that the terror will either bring folks to their knees or 6′ under.

    • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

Yes, and I would argue that it is well over 50 percent. This country has willingly chosen to turn away from God and His ways.

  • Arthur Wholeflaffers

Enough of the doom and gloom, everything is under control. That is it is under control for the Corporate State. They are totally immune to any kind of financial calamity, in fact the elite shareholders profit from it. If history has taught us anything is that the top 400 individuals, known as the Forbes 400 (although a few key families are not listed) will make out just fine That being said, I still do not see any kind of panic anyplace, things seem to be humming along. The Plunge Protection Team would stop any kind of stock market crash, so that is an impossibility, Of course predicting the future correctly is next to impossible since there are to many unknown variables that can go many ways. And the further out you go the more likely it is to be incorrect.

  • Simon

This year is different. I’ve been studying biblical prophecy for a decade and this year feels different and there is an atmosphere present now that wasn’t there even a year ago when the caliphate was restored – though it’s connection to this present crisis in undoubted. None of this is surprising to those of us who have been watching the nations but it is still gravely concerning and disappointing to see the West on the precipice with no remorse.

No matter the specifics of the trouble coming our way, God will be glorified and people will repent and find hope and comfort in Jesus Christ. But it will likely cost all of us a lot, one way or another.

    • Carl

Do you live in a cave? Are you unaware of the conditions of people living all over the world and how they live?

Why is it god when America is going to become just like the rest of the world?

Why wasn’t anyone talking about the end, the end when other people were being mistreated and living in squalor and abject slavery while America prospered and turned a blind eye to what our government and corporations were doing?

      • loadnup

All you say re us living in prosperity and others in squalor and abject slavery is exactly what has brought about our demise. The usa has not always lived this life of decadence and waste with no concern for others. it is the actions of folks promoting glutinous over indulgence at the cost of others, both in this country and abroad, with absolutely no consideration of their greed that has brought about God’s judgment on us. And, yes, I believe whole heartedly that this is God’s judgment, His way to reprimand His once blessed now condemned child. If you haven’t seen or read Isaiah 9/10 judgment, if for no other purpose than to educate yourself as to why we find ourselves here and why other folks are trying their best to explain how God is playing the Major roll in this show, do it. you owe it to yourself.

The central banks will just do more QE to kick the can further down the road and they’ll steal our money from our bank accounts as well. Only when the central banks have no more sick rabbits to pull out of the hat will the collapse come. The only thing that makes me feel differently is the government/bankers orchestrated race war, if the financial system is going to collapse then they need everyone at each others throats first that way the people won’t unite against the evil that rules over us so they’ll get away with their evil again.

    • loadnup

“No more sick rabbits to pull out of the hat.” Yes we are surrounded by a plethora of sick rabbits and the article focuses mostly on the financial world but as far as waiting for the central banks to finally run out of other people’s money before the collapse will come I have to disagree as there are so many other knife’s edged catastrophes waiting to happen that any one could trigger the end. Like dominos I do believe one will happen and the rest will follow…. what a mess we find ourselves in.

  • Horiboyable .

Politicians around the globe think they can control the markets. Although they can manipulate for a period of time they will NEVER change the overall trend or cycle. In the UK, all they have done is re-inflate the bubble from 2007, when what they should have done is let the housing bubble deflate completely. There is about 9 to 15 trillion loans in USD throughout the world and when a Black Swan event happens standard operating procedure is to flee into US bonds for safety, this will cause the dollar to rise and all those cheap USD loans will blow up. There are housing bubbles in Canada, Singapore, New Zealand, London and parts of the USA. There will be multiple sovereign defaults. As Maggie Thatcher pointed out, the trouble is with socialism is eventually you run out of other peoples money to spend. The laws of mathematics are universal. I saw this event approaching back in 2011 and have taken the time to clear my mortgage and clear all my debt I have stocked my garage with food and I do not leave too much in my bank account just in case of a worse case scenario. Round the world you can see governments more aggressive stance to tax collection, France has gone nuts, you can not order gold for home delivery, it is against the law to write or discuss a bank that might be unhealthy, capital controls at the banks, if you with draw a certain amount from a bank they have to notify the tax department, you can not pay large bills or items in cash. Poland, Greece and Spain have stolen private pensions. If I had a private pension I would be a very worried man today that is for sure. We will lose more of our liberty and of course what governments have traditionally done, is go to war. America is collapsing for the same reasons Rome did, unfunded entitlements. In Rome it was pensions for their standing Army. Economic power is shifting to China and will be complete in about 15 years. America, when it loses its default currency status will have to make some radical adjustments which will probably end up with civil unrest and separatist movements. I am picking Texas will be first to break the union. I saw it reported this week that Texas has requested that its gold be repatriated!!! This is the beginning of a shift throughout the world where there is distrust towards government and its institutions. If the state of Texas does not trust it Federal Government why should the individual. There aren’t any markets anymore, central banks round the world have distorted the markets so much there is zero price discovery anymore. I read that the Swiss Central Bank had made a large investment in Apple shares! This indicates to me that they don’t trust sovereign bonds either. If there is a panic in the bond market you could see the DOW & S&P go to new highs because where else do you park big money with liquidity. If the bond market blows up folks will not be retiring because the nest egg will go to zero. It is law that pension funds must hold a % in sovereign bonds. I just hope we don’t go Mad Max.

  • jtm1961

Thanks for the read, good stuff, one comment though, I do wish some of the people your quoted would not use the Biblical card so much, kind of distracts from the facts and would certainly be off putting to some who would focus only on that .

    • loadnup

The “Biblical card” is used as it is the “card” that wrote this play book and is unfolding before our very eyes. The “facts” are only edifying what the Bible has so clearly said was going to happen. The idea of “off putting” some folks who don’t believe in “God” is not something we as “Americans” should give any consideration to. If some folks don’t want to believe that God created everything that started this ball rolling, that’s fine, but it does not change the reality of God’s existence and that denial will work right up to the day they die.

      • jtm1961

How does one not fear or live with heightened anxiety over this or anything this blog writes? Same goes for Alex Jones, etc.

    • loadnup

“Fearful” knowledge that is introduced to one’s senses does not have to create fear within. It is all how one deals with it. Fear is what sharpens ones senses and in combat (of any kind) can either keep you alive or have you running headlong into a meat grinder. This is not fear mongering. I pray you will have the wisdom to see the difference and ability to process this information in such a way that any fear you feel (and we all feel it) will motivate you to, as my dad used to tell me, “Do what needs to be done when it ought to be done whether you want to or not.” we don’t have a lot of choices left to us individually but this is one where we all have to chose a side or it will be chosen for us…. hope that makes sense to you.
Thank you Michael, truly thank you.

“To clarify, when I say “imminent” I do not mean that it will happen
within the next 48 hours. And I am not saying that our problems will be
“over” once we get to the end of 2015. In fact, I believe that the
truth is that our problems will only be just beginning as we enter 2016.”

Exactly what kind of doublespeak is this? Michael is getting like Lindsay Williams with all the fear mongering and then if you want more doom and gloom you can click on the additional link, which leads to a video you may purchase that is $30.00.

Never let a good “crisis” go to waste. Right Mikey?

    • Me

“Michael is getting like Lindsay Williams with all the fear mongering and then if you want more doom and gloom you can click on the additional link, which leads to a video you may purchase that is $30.00.”

Michael’s viewpoint is that things are bad and getting worse. That’s his view. If you don’t want to read it, read something else. What? Do you want him to change his point of view to suit you?

There’s nothing wrong with Michael being compensated for the time and expertise to create a video. He should make that available for free to you? I love when people think everything should be posted for free online. I’m sure our mortgage companies would be fine with that… “Sure, just skip your house payment”.

I applaud the fact that some people are clever enough to earn a living rather than looking for a handout. See how upside down our world’s become? Today we criticize a person when a few decades ago, that same person was admired as a self-made man.

I do not normally invest in the stock market and will not this time either.
The temptation is that if we have a great fall then those that sell short will make a lot of money.
It could have happened that way in 2008. Those that sold short would have made a lot of money if they knew how far short to sell.
The question becomes how far are the thieves willing to go?
I call them what they are: Thieves. Because if this is what I think it is there is a setup going on and we are the ones being set up.
All of our pensions and savings over the last 40-50 years are at stake.
Every one of those pensions are dependent on a stock market going up not down. When it goes completely down then we all lose as our funds are broke.
Many a pension is right now in critical condition and the federal government is prepared to move in and make drastic changes in the amount of money any one person gets from the fund.
I think the Federal Securities Exchange should be looking into this mess now rather than after the fact.
Because if it comes down the way MIchael says it will, then we are all going to be hurting badly. And the few that bet on it going short will make a fortune, if there is a fortune left to make.
I have always been conservative. I have always bet on real estate as a stable investment. But even real estate has taken a huge hit in the last 10 years.
The entire thing comes down to the fact that our entire economy is based on people earning a living and paying taxes on that living.
    Everything else is parasitic.
Well since the early President Bush years of the 2001 era, they have been taking the rules down on wealthy investments. Rules put in during the great depression of the 30s for good reasons.
We have went from a nation of Union Members to a nation without rules and rights in the work place. So older people are often fired for no good reason or have to “re-qualify” for jobs they have held for years.
We have taken the tariff barriers down so that corporations go overseas for their labor. They often fire our workers and contract the work out to places like India.
We have taken Sherman Antitrust and hamstrung local industry with rules that the foreigners do not obey yet they are in the same marketplace as our locals are.
All of this while an elite puppet group in the Congress votes time and time again against the general laboring public and those paying the bills.
The wealthy have always had the advantage of law. They hire the people that make the rules and tell them which rules to enforce.
Right now we have all kinds of people illegally residing and working right here in the good old US of A. None of which are obeying even the simplest of rules like registering for the draft or paying income tax on the money they illegally make.
The people hiring them are also criminally libel for not paying taxes out of their checks.
We have obvious disobeying of civil and federal laws by the people in charge. Yet no one does anything about it.
We have a supreme court corrupted.
Is it all about to come to a head and come crashing down?
My advice is to make yourselves as debt free as possible and only buy what you can afford to buy with cash. That includes houses, cars, and anything else. Max your disposable income. Keep your money hidden not in banks. Keep enough to pay the bills in the credit unions.
Minimize what you pay for shelter and transportation.
Because if it comes down to it, we all have to eat and the current system rewards anyone that is technically broke.
I suggest hoarding food. But only food that does not require electricity to keep. Like canned goods. Like various nuts and honey.
School yourself in repairing your own stuff. It will save you a lot when the S*** H**s the Fan.

Revelation 6: 5-7 tells us this what will happen during the early period of the Great Tribulation:

“5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come out!” Then I saw a black horse, and its rider had a balance scale in one hand.
6 I heard what sounded like a voice from somewhere among the four living creatures. It said, “A quart of wheat will cost you a whole day’s wages! Three quarts of barley will cost you a day’s wages too. But don’t ruin the olive oil or the wine.””

Is this what will happen when the whole financial system and the economy collapses?

with everything going on, they are kind of telling people to get prepared. with the prepper shows, the government prepper websites, the red Cross was having getting prepared events in wa state.

You have some good points. In my area the local grocery stores have started carrying quite a lot of magazines related to survival skills. And I recently saw one interesting magazine with a picture of a grinning teen and an article about “How to Raise a Hunter”.

I would agree with you up to a point and that is “it’s started to get real.” Judging by your handle I do believe you have a pretty sound belief that it has more than started. If it isn’t in the house it is kicking down the door….

Yeah, you lost me right…. there.

    >Most believe that the court will rule that gay marriage is a
constitutional right in all 50 states. There are some that believe that
this will be a major turning point for our nation.

Yep, a very positive one for homosexuals, that will not affect straight folks in any way whatsoever, and certainly will have zero effect on the economy (except the wedding industry, which should see their numbers rise!).

    >This is the date for the last of the four blood moons that fall on Biblical festival dates during 2014 and 2015.

That’s not the issue. It was a “gateway drug” of sorts. They tore up the Constitution to legalize it, and everything else like polygamy, incest, pedophilia, etc will now follow. There’s also a targeting of Christian Churches (but they won’t target Muslim Mosques – even ISIS murders gays for fun, and osama bin laden’s papers show terrorists are absolutely targeting homosexuals and abortion practitioners). And that children for generations are going to be even more #$%&ed up than now.

You are comparing a specific time and place in history, that only affected a certain part of this country, with something that has been considered unnatural in all of human history and throughout all cultures. You need to learn critical thinking skills.

wow, everybody needs to bow down to your superior intellect /sarc/

“…something that has been considered unnatural in all of human history and throughout all cultures….”

and slavery was considered natural. guess what, we evolved

“Twenty countries have approved the freedom to marry for same-sex couples nationwide (Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Iceland, Argentina, Denmark, France, Brazil, Uruguay, New Zealand, Britain, Luxembourg, Finland and Ireland), while Mexico allows the freedom to marry regionally and has court-directed provisions enabling same-sex couples to share in the freedom to marry. In Slovenia, Parliament approved a marriage bill in March 2015 and is headed to the president’s desk. Many other countries provide some protections for such couples….”

          • DANA

No, slavery was never considered natural, it was just simply practiced. Many great moral thinkers and teachers debated the morality of slavery and it’s consequences on those who practiced it. The old testament tells of God’s wrath against the Egyptians for the refusal to release Hebrew salves. Even secular and non Christian philosophers have debated the morality of slavery and many other moral issues. No great moral thinker has ever considered the concept of marriage between man and woman to be immoral, hateful, unfair, unequal, bigoted or in any way unjust. That’s something this generation came up with all on it’s own. The fact that countries are accepting homosexual marriage doesn’t determine it’s morality or if it’s good for society. That will be determined at a later date.

          • Gay Veteran

“No, slavery was never considered natural, it was just simply practiced. Many great moral thinkers and teachers debated the morality of slavery and it’s consequences on those who practiced it….”

The fact that they had to debate proves that some people DID consider slavery to be natural.

“…No great moral thinker has ever considered the concept of marriage between man and woman to be immoral, hateful, unfair, unequal, bigoted or in any way unjust. That’s something this generation came up with all on it’s own….”

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

I don’t think you are the spokesperson for all the cultures of human history.
For two examples it was generally acceptable in the Ming Dynasty and Ancient Greece.

          • DANA

Yes, homosexuality was accepted and practiced, but the issue here is homosexual marriage, which was not, even in the two cultures mentioned. We all acknowledge that homosexuality has always been with us, but the framework of marriage has always been between man and woman for the benefit of social structure and the greater good of society. Homosexual and heterosexual marriages can never be equal. This is not meant to be cruel, it’s just a biological fact. One can produce something that benefits the continuation of a culture and society, this is really one of our greatest purposes in life. This is why it’s recognized by everyone as essential to maintaining civilization. This is a good thing and shouldn’t be considered hateful or bigoted because we all benefit from a well ordered, structured society.

          • Gay Veteran

“…the framework of marriage has always been between man and woman for the benefit of social structure and the greater good of society….”

I have one word for you Michael
    WATCHMAN
That is what you are a Watchman on the wall and you see danger coming close to the city and you are sounding the alarm for all to hear.
NOW weather they take head and prepare for battle that is another story but you have done God’s job he has called you to do “To warn the people” and that you have done. Many are called but few set on the wall and even fewer sound the alarm. You have done both. (THANK YOU Michael)
    God Bless you and yours
God Bless and keep all of us

For all its worth!!! I will share my views on this. Some years ago a Civil Rights expert was on The History Channel and said a major change was coming and he told it like it was. He said we the people had lost are constituonal rights a long time ago. The people voting in their favorite politician to receive money from the Treasury. Like living off the government!!! We have blown are rights away a long time ago, one day we will all be the same. Little pink houses for you and me. Than there was a debate on TV and one man said. Maybe the government is not broke!!! Maybe it’s the American people. Most live pay check to pay check have unlimited credit cards and lines of credit and and refinancing their homes. Who do you think pays for this when you can’t everyone else it is a never ending problem. We will have a RESET!!!!! All debit is forgiven we will start anew!!! But no more being unresponsible, you will stand up and be the brave one and have better choices, we can’t go on the way we are. Good luck!!!

Perhaps a very severe adjustment. Seek safe havens for investments. Get out of the risky stock market. Minimize loss.

      • Nemnor

WRONG! While there may not be a “sudden” collapse, there will surely be a (slow) continues DECLINE towards total collapse/chaos.

The reason for the continuous (and general) decline is that, the world-wide economic system is now decadent (due to reaching a state of general over-production), and is NOT able to generate long-term recovery by economic means alone.

AND, as the on-going crisis can not be solved by economic means alone, there is the increasing prospect that the decadent system bring about WW-III (for the similar reasons it brought about WW-I and WW-II).

The Titanic was a BIG ship with a small rudder. If the ship starts turning in the right direction it have a lot of momentum to continue in that direction. If consumer spending is at all time highs that’s probably a good thing for the future of the economy. Low interest rates and dropping gasoline prices will have to have an affect at some point.

“Consumers adopted a sunnier attitude toward the economy in June, according to a survey of consumers released Friday, following a upward trend in economic reports this week.

The consumer sentiment index rose 6% in June from a month ago to 96.1, said the University of Michigan. The results put the index 16.5% above June last year and marked the biggest increase since 2004. The index is now at a five-month high.

The metric, which asks consumers to evaluate prospects for the national economy, their personal finances, and buying conditions, beat expectations of 94.6, according to a Bloomberg survey.

Consumers’ souped-up spending attitude in Friday’s report falls right in line with other recent economic indicators.

Consumer spending hit a six-year high in May, rising 0.9%, after personal income crept up 0.5%, the Bureau of Economic Analysis said Thursday.”

Michael – thank you for this very insightful article. I truly appreciate everything you do for us – the average lay person who follows you and others with similar interests. I’m 65 years of age and I can honestly state that for the past two years til today my heart has been heavy with something ominous that I can not ignore or shake off. Each passing day it becomes worse. I honestly do believe that we (the United States) are at the abyss of some very shocking and dark days ahead. There are way too many signs that they just can not be ignored. I literally ache for the millions of people who are totally unaware of where we are headed, either through ignorance or willful denial. Thank you so much for the many links in your article. This will take me some time to absorb this information. I only hope that I can.

  • Nemnor

Michael, you stated – “…I believe that the truth is that our problems will only be just beginning as we enter 2016…”.

The truth is, since the early-70s, it was already very clear to some people that, the USA (and the World) has entered an economic crisis that would generally ger worse and worse, decade after decade.

Now, just like how a ripe banana (in and of itself) would naturally decay into a rotten banana, in the similar way, the US (and World) Capitalist economic system has decayed into its current decadent state, and has been in an ongoing economic crisis since late-60s/early-70s – which was the end of the “reconstruction boom” following WW-II, and at a time when most of the leading Capitalist economies began to “catch up” to the USA and compete with the USA for a bigger/better share of the LIMITED World’s “economic pie”.

The world-wide Capitalist economic system was always “destined” to (naturally) become decadent (just like how the ripe banana naturally becomes a rotten banana), as it was bound to reach a state of general over-production in a World in which resources and markets are virtually and practically limited.

Over-production is the main reason the world-wide Capitalist system is now NOT able to generate long-term recovery by economic means alone. This is why, regardless to who is in the White House and regardless to what Governments and Central Banks do (or not do), the socioeconomic conditions will relentlessly continue to get worse, in the USA and the Rest of the World in general.

The real (permanent) solution is with a fundamental change away from Capitalism, to a sustainable alternative system that addresses the abundant needs of the “rational” individual (and not just of “the 1%’).

I have never stated this publicly, but I have always believed that when the United States declares gay “marriage” to be the law of the land, it will be the beginning of the end of the United States as we know it.

God abhors homosexuality. He ABHORS IT. It is an abomination in His eyes. It is what got Sodom and Gomorrah torched.

Today, the Supreme Court made gay “marriage” the law of the land.

God’s hand of judgment has just made a fist. If we do not repent, our doom is sealed. And it is a fearful thing to feel the wrath of God.

    • df NJ

You need to research this more. Sodom and Gomorrah were not just about homosexuality.

I hear people often say that judgement is coming to America unless we repent and turn back to the God of our Heritage…Well, judgement started years ago, and we are witnessing the stage being set for the global government written in the Holy Bible.

Now is the day to get right with Jesus. I had a heat stroke last week and almost died, still have migraines and sluured speech. Any day could be your last.

The first item on Michaels list has already been fulfilled. The rest of this year should prove to be very interesting. A lot of folks criticize religious people from making predictions and setting dates, and rightfully so. But, remember, the Bible very clearly tells us what is to come, and we are witnessing the “aligning” going on now, so even if everything does not happen exactly as Michael has written about here, I can guarantee you that things are going to be different than they are now, in 6 months.

  • Nemnor

catsarecool, I agree with you (more or less).

Personally, I tell my Children – do not hate anyone, but STAY AWAY FROM (AVOID) anything that does not SEEM natural to you.

I leave the “door open” for them to make their own judgement on what is “natural”. BUT, I let them know some of the things I personally consider to be UN-natural.

    • Nemnor

I also let my Children know the (maximum) time I believe they have to grow up and become successful adults.

I can hardly imagine the USA avoid sinking into a true “third world” state (or worse) pass 2040 (give or take a few years). This would give my Children about 20 to 25 years – assuming the World does not sink into WW-III.

Now the US Ruling Class (“the 1%’) have already played the “Black man in the WH” card. Now the next card is likely a “Woman in the WH”. These are some of the tricks the US Ruling Class pulled (and would pull) to distract and deceive the US masses.

But, by 2040 (more or less), just about all the tricks of the US Ruling Class would be played (including WW-III), and IF we survive by then, then I imagine the US masses would (should) be awake enough to see that the electoral process in the USA is a FRAUD (a game), and the masses would (should) be more open to suggestions for fundamental change away from the US (traditional) political and economic system.

  • GSOB

Thank you Michael for writing this article. I am a regular reader of your blog. I think there are a lot of emotions coming into play here. This country is already under judgement and it is about to get a lot hotter. There have and always will be evil in a country but the level of evil in modern America is historical. As a christian I believe that America’s main problem is not even financial but spiritual. This is because the Bible clearly lays out how to live your life. Unlike many Republicans believe in I don’t think we should legislate morality but rather live by example for the community. The church has become lazy in this regard and therefore is not the same today as yesterday. If ever there was a time to live what we preach it is NOW!

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

I think the economic problem is a lack cooperation /initiative work ethic, not a moral one.. Our forefathers would laugh with derision at all the whiners and retreatists on this board with all the conveniences, resources, and opportunities we have.
Too many people looking for handouts vs starting companies, too many employers looking to cheap out, too much emphasis on immigration, too many bloated government programs. too many health professionals riding too high on their horse, too many local governments looking to greedily line their pockets. Obamacare is fattening the wallets of insurers who were bloated already.

    • Gay Veteran

“…because the Bible clearly lays out how to live your life….”

MANY religions lay out how to live your life: it’s called the Golden Rule, treat others as you want them to treat you

  • df NJ

I am pretty sure if religion did not exist at all we would at least see the same levels of poverty and misery if not more. Atheism is less of an issue because being an atheism doesn’t mean you live your life without having a moral code. In my opinion, I know many atheist friends who live their lives closer to the teachings of Jesus Christ than many of my Christian friends do who idolize the words “Jesus Christ” like its and NFL football team.

  • Orange Jean

I agree with you on the timeline…

I remember being in my 20s (that would be in the 70s) and talking with a friend about my fears that this country was headed down a path towards becoming a 3rd world country. She reminded me of that the other day…. don’t know when it’ll be complete, but its very clear to me we’ve gone a lot further down that path.

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

Have you ever traveled to third world countries? It might help broaden your perspective. The standard of living here may slack at times, but we won’t ever approach 3rd world status.. we’d be conquered first by a country/culture that isn’t a bunch of lazy whiners.

      • Dee

If we were hit by an EMP We would be living like a 3rd world country .No Electric, no phones no running water

        • Orange Jean

Absolutely… the funny thing is, any of us who grew up poor would be able to cope with that a lot better than those who’ve had it easy heir whole lives.

      • Orange Jean

I have, though I have been in and lived in more places in poverty stricken places in this country which some people think don’t exist… but which I know for a fact do.

As to other places, I’ve been in interior Mexico, visiting a friend of mine who was from there. She was an anthropologist and took me to some places way off the tourist maps. I’ve been close friends with some women and had a couple of boyfriends who were from 3rd world countries (and they were not from wealthy families, dirt poor). I’ve been poor enough myself I really don’t have much in common with people who’ve never been poor, which is why it was easier for me to connect with those people.

My father’s father was a street kid, kicked out of his families house at age 5 and became a beggar to survive. The story goes that he worked on a migrant farm at 8, and then in the mines before immigrating here in his early 20s. Of course I wasn’t around to see it, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t affect me. Kids who grow up like that don’t get normally socialized, my family has had a lot of problems because of that. So the types of things I’m talking about aren’t so much infrastructure (some are), but more social changes we’ve had in my lifetime. Depending on how old you are, you may or may not have seen then.

I’ve also lived in some major slums in this country (in the San Francisco and Boston area) and had a few times when I’ve been homeless, and know others who were as well. I almost starved when I was pregnant (once went for 2 weeks on a total of $2 borrowed money for food… had nightmares about food, etc.). I was badly malnourished by the time my son was born. I lived in a tent when my son was a baby for a few months because it was all I could afford.. I was friends with people (in Maine) who didn’t have hot water in their homes and others who didn’t have any running water at all, had to use outdoor privies and had no heat except for wood stoves.

I’ve known a few people who lived here illegally and I’ve also been on a number of Indian reservations, have a few friends who grew up in such places and they certainly have extreme poverty. So I do think I’ve seen a side of this country which a lot of people don’t.

Now as to the possibility of being conquered… I do think that’s a possibility. But I don’t think everyone here are a “bunch of lazy whiners” (I know some who are, but also know plenty who are not)… and I’ve known a few people from 3rd world countries who could qualify for that.

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

So you don’t think our standard of living is better than Mexico’s?
You think that Boston and SF slums compare to those of India where they have no water and leave bodies in the rivers?
Why didn’t you stay at shelters like the Salvation Army?

  • SunnyFlaSnotress

What exactly makes you so pessimistic? We have resources, ability, strong military, etc

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

      • trednut

        Hey Happy Soldier.

        A little history lesson:

        From Wikepedia

The Civil Rights Act of 1957, Pub.L. 85–315, 71 Stat. 634, enacted September 9, 1957, primarily a voting rights bill, was the first civil rights legislation passed by Congress in the United States since the 1866 and 1875 Acts.

The Civil Rights Act of 1957 was also Congress’s show of support for the Supreme Court’s Brown decisions.[1] The Brown v. Board of Education (1954), eventually led to the integration of public schools. Following the Supreme Court ruling, Southern whites in Virginia began a “Massive Resistance.” Violence against blacks rose there and in other states, as in Little Rock, Arkansas, where that year President Dwight D. Eisenhower had ordered in federal troops to protect nine children integrating a public school, the first time the federal government had sent troops to the South since Reconstruction.[2]
There had been continued physical assaults against suspected activists
and bombings of schools and churches in the South. The administration of
Eisenhower proposed legislation to protect the right to vote by African
        Americans.

DEMOCRATIC Senator Strom Thurmond of South Carolina, an ardent segregationist, sustained the longest one-person filibuster
in history in an attempt to keep the bill from becoming law. His
one-man filibuster lasted 24 hours and 18 minutes; he began with
readings of every state’s election laws in alphabetical order. Thurmond later read from the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and George Washington’s Farewell Address. His speech set the record for a Senate filibuster.[3] The bill passed the House with a vote of 285 to 126 (Republicans 167–19 for, Democrats 118–107 for)[4] and the Senate 72 to 18 (Republicans 43–0 for, Democrats 29–18 for).[5] President Eisenhower signed it on September 9, 1957.

        Eisenhower was a Republican

Just did a refresher course on the strategies of Cloward and Piven. Things are going as planned.

  • LWZRGHT

The valuations in U.S. stocks are propped up by cheap credit and demographic realities. Everyone here knows about the cheap credit. The demographic issues are the baby boomers entering and nearing retirement. A lot of their wealth got wiped out in 2008-09, and they are trying to juice up their portfolios to make up for it. Also, they’ve followed their professional financial advice and bought more bonds for “safety.”

One piece of good news is the savings rate has been higher lately. People are putting some money aside, and it will give them a cushion for any medium-sized blows.

Between this and the derivatives article, you do an excellent job of pointing out the dangers. The stress tests don’t come close to what a real-life crisis looks like. The lesson might lead one towards the M0, M1 money article. Cash is king. Gold is the emperor? :-)

    • SunnyFlaSnotress

Some companies actually ARE doing well and at good valuations.. even without the cheap credit.
I’m not saying they are impervious. I’m saying that in standard current terms, all is well for numerous.

      • LWZRGHT

Sure, but I think the average P/E is around 20 now, and history shows us that it will revert back to 15, or temporarily, even less.
Also, you’ve got crazy valuations in the tech sector once again. Companies that aren’t profitable trade like they are, and some valuations put those companies like they’re going to get 90-100% of their markets. We just know that’s not possible. Facebook isn’t going to do every advertisement in the world.

Over 60 million babies have been aborted in America since the devil in the black robe Harry Blackmun decided in 1973 it was ok to kill them. The moral decay of the U.S.A since 8-15-1969 has been shocking. Now 5 unelected devils in black robes, drunk with hubris, defying the over whelming will of the people, say it is ok for homosexuals to marry, have redefined marriage and have changed the course of over 2 thousand years of civilization. Priests and clergy quake in their boots afraid to truly speak God’s Commandments and far too many “cool” parents “going with the flow”/ “they’re going to do it anyway” afraid to truly instill God’s Commandments in their children. Cocky Catholics laying back, aid/abet the moral decay and then spout off, “the gates of hell shall never prevail against the church”. Woe to you who claim to be from God and then blaspheme Him and corrupt His Word.{Kennedy, Biden, Cuomo, Kerry, Pelosi, et. als.} Last but not least, A Pope Francis I who has partnered with the devils on the left who seek to destroy us, are so ardently against the sanctity of life/marriage and who seek to usher in hardcore leftism under the guise of global warming/climate change/stewardship of the Earth and social justice. Not true. Both Lincoln and JFK ended the Federal Reserves monopoly on the creation of money with an executive order. The problem is both were assa_ssinated because of it.

Sorry to inform you of the TRUTH there are millions of people who agree with Michael and I am one of them. I had the priviledge of meeting Michael in person here in Wilmington 2 summers ago. He is awesome.
I am a journalistic researcher like Michael ( but not famous or articulate as he ) but I research the Biblical significance of Finance ( money). The Bible is the accurate description of the past, present and future and at times denigrated by those that have not studied its word.
Laurie there is not much time pray to Yashua ( God ) to open your eyes ……He will….He opened my eyes 20 years ago. I will pray for you.

Huuuuuuuuuuh…. if/ when SHTF before 2016 election let the dems win! I have noted in forums/boards that conserv repubs are being set up to take the fall for econ collapse on their watch. If the stars line up and all of this starts playing out let the dems have their electoral wins. They are banking on conserv repubs to be in power to be blamed so they can say “see we warned you they are no good look at what they have done” From that we will have one party rule with next election (2018 midterm 2020 presid). So let them win to own what they have created WITH some of their progressive repub pals.

  • Howboutno

Things always have their way of evolving, whether by design or force, thank you Michael for your time and effort in these matters as they’re truly appreciated as you bring unfolding events to light.
I feel that the rainbow movement is really taking these discussions by force, almost as if it were by design, drawing our eyes away from other matters that are much more important. The only reason to grant such liberties is to drive a wedge and cause chaos between sects, because in my opinion it is completely crazy to make such a big ordeal of something in which there is such a minority. The folks that practice these things are star struck in their new rights, not seeing the forest through the trees.

The funny thing is, this isn’t the new norm at all, it will incite and fuel more feelings against this movement more than ever before. Furthering claims of hate and injustice while they wail for added protection and security.

People had freedom to express certain God given rights of choice, of course, but what one has to be conscious of is the effects there after.

This is what I have an issue with. That is, when people are not taking all of the facts into consideration, but only one (themselves), it has a tendency to cause a cancer to manifest, and the more it metastasis the harder it is to reverse.

Oh well, this isn’t the first time in history this has happened, nor will it be the last. It’s just an age old tactic. All the while basking in your ‘new found victory’ people are blinded to the actual intent behind it. You got fooled, just don’t know it yet. Along with all those who blindly sympathize along side. Consider all of these things a litmus test for things to come.

Sometimes a victory isn’t exactly what you think it is.

    • Gay Veteran

“…People had freedom to express certain God given rights of choice, of course, but what one has to be conscious of is the effects there after….”

yeah, we should have just kept sitting in the back of the proverbial bus

      • Bill G Wilminton NC

Yahwah ( God ) allows us to fall into sin. A man could live this life as a slave and love Jesus and when this vapor called life ends he goes into eternity with Yashua ( Jesus ). Or he could be a free man and turn his back on Jesus and when he dies he dies a second death and spends eternity in hell. So who had a better life the one that led to life or the one that led to DEATH.
Better to sit in the back of the bus with Jesus than the front of the bus with Satan.

God is a title, HIS name is Yahwah, His Son is Yashua, The Holy Spirit is The Rua. America was allowed to develop for two reasons; to be a safe transitional home ( on their way to Israel ) to the Jews of the world and to be The Light of the World.
I read through quickly many of the responses and statements and confusions. I only add…… this world belongs to a prince, not the Prince of Peace but the prince of darkness and Yahwah has allowed this since the fall in the Garden of Eden. The ways of Yahwah are higher than our ways and HIS thoughts are higher than our thoughts we cannot understand these things until we stand to be judged in front of Yashua….. or at The Great White Throne judgement where Yahwah will judge all the rest of mankind.
We are all sinners be it slave owners, adulterers, homosexuals, blasphemers, murderers etc Yahwah does not make a distinction. If your sin is not FORGIVEN you will spend eternity away from Yahwah. At the judgement day the sinner and all of humanity from The Garden to The End (which I believe is upon us) will know the sins of ones life and cannot deny your judgement.
Yahwah gave us a country under Him with unalienable rights given by Him we have banned Him from our schools, courts, our lives ( except for a small minority ) and now The Blessed Coming is almost upon us….Lord Yashua Please come Soon.

    Shalom

  • Bill G Wilminton NC

If the 1% are capturing 99% of all new wealth created then of course the velocity of money will wither and die. Loyd Blankfein only buys 5 new shirts a month no many how many hundreds of millions he makes. Disgorge the money to the middle and lower classes and it will get spent. Small businesses will recover, bridges get repaired and interest rates can lift off their ridiculous zero bound.

Hi Math Teacher the world is crashing all around you and you hide in a room of students haha you are a joke. Impressed by yourself, filled up with knowledge but NO wisdom. Take a walk on the REAL side and research what Jonathan Cahn is professing. Get real scary and read his book The Harbinger…. do it as a researcher…..read it!
Religion is man made, The Bible is the Word of God. Blood moons are real and posted by Nasa. What part of The Express Train coming at us at 120 mph can you not see………oh thats right a classroom is only about 50 x 50 so you don’t have to look past 50 ft.
Lastly you are an evolutionist, abortionist, global warmer, LGBT cake baker, God hater…. and how did I know that ?

      • SharkLazerzzz

It’s interesting how many people posting comments here immediately focus on the small portion of the article that mentions mysticism and therefor dismiss the entire thing and its author. They don’t even realize they are doing it as a conditioned, auto-response. The science/state/social-issue worshipers don’t realize that they have been tricked into idolatry.

Jonathan Cahn’s research is fascinating. If you have not already, watch the video of him at the WH prayer breakfast. Excellent.

Also, if you have not seen Agenda: Grinding America Down, it’s available on YoµTµbe. I think you might like it.

        • Bill G Wilminton NC

Hi Mr Shark have listened to Jonathan Cahn speech at the WH prayer breakfast and it took my breath away. Thanks for your input of Agenda: Grinding America Down I will listen. The 120 mph express train is almost here I can feel the ground shaking……….God Bless, Shalom

  • VigilanteCaregiver

It’s not a slippery slope. Gay marriage is a gateway drug. Essentially everything I listed, including pedophilia, was already legalized when the Constitution was bastardized for the sake of legalizing gay marriage – just hasn’t gone through the motions in the courts yet. Polygamy will be legitimized next, followed by incest, and finally pedophilia with the rest of the deviant behaviors.

Gay marriage in and of itself is moot. No possible way to physically prove a person is gay; it’s a form of narcissistic personality disorder. The bastardizing of the Constitution is what led to it’s legalization and the rest of the behaviors being legalized, too.

    • Marco

Listen to yourself. How sad that you’ve allowed yourself to become so delusional as to actually believe your delusions. Oh well, you are beyond any help I, or probably anyone could give.

      • VigilanteCaregiver

        That’s your counterargument?

The information is researched; read my posting history for links and references.

        And learn how to debate.

        • Marco

It’s not a debate. And I’m not arguing with you bud. I truly feel sorry for you. It’s not much of a debate when you’re dealing with a self-perceived megalomaniac with an obvious aversion to reason. I mean, to believe one’s own interpretation of scientific findings that contradict the scientific community itself, without himself being a doctor of philosophy or medicine, you have to be a special kind of narcissist. So no, I’m not going to retort. You obviously have enough stress and loss of control in your life that the only way to gain control back is to search out pseudo-scientific evidence that supports your pre-conceived biases and then battle anyone who dares come between you and those deluded, grandiose ideas. I wish you all the best in your battle. Perhaps this time would be better spent with your ailing wife than arguing with strangers on the Internet.

          • VigilanteCaregiver

You should try to study the scientific research I cited.

If you feel that I’m dominating you, that’s not my fault. I’m only responsible for what I say – not how you interpret it. If you have no argument, then go get one. Simple.

          • Marco

Once again, good luck to you in your struggles.

          • VigilanteCaregiver

            You too

          • Marco

Thanks! Keeping an open mind I find has really helped me not only overcome but also even realize what personal struggles I face. You can’t fix ’em if you aren’t aware of ’em.

Discussing blood moons and biblical festivals only reduces your credibility. It is not necessary either. The financial and geopolitical facts alone point toward some huge accident in the not too distant future. But you can’t really say it will happen in 2015. It could be pushed into 2016, or even 2017.

And that timing does matter. There is a huge election coming up in 2016.

    • Bill G Wilminton NC

      Not an accident…………by design !

      • socalbeachdude

        Hardly.

          ??????????

  • freedom vs state religion

So much hate here. Gosh. Pretty sure there were empires that lasted thousands of years and accomplished great things before monotheistic region even existed, much less Christianity. Also, if we really wanted the country to be run on sharia law I guess we could do that, it’s working out soooo well for the Middle East and the Middle Ages in Europe, so much progress made! (Sarcasm)

I thought the point of American was to get away from controlling state religion and do what you thought was “right” by your religion. Yes there was some fits and starts there, justifying slavery and things which clearly had nothing to do with be a good person only “religious doctrine.”

But the constitution is meant to protect individual rights. My rights (your rights) begin where yours (mine) end. Very simple. Most amendments and court ruling have been to futher that goal (including the most recent decision). You can say what you want, do what you want, but you cannot limit my rights or effect my right to live equally. There was no provision for religious belief at all because no one can predict where that would lead in 500 years, if Christians are in control, Muslims, or the Greek myths make a come back, the idea is to create a country where it doesn’t matter so you can do what you want…again as long as you don’t infringe on other individuals’ right to live a happy free life. The second you refute that means you don’t actually care about freedom and liberty, you only care about “freedom” for what you believe is right…aka sharia law.

    • SharkLazerzzz

“Empires lasted for thousands of years before monotheistic…”:

Yep. Around twenty thousand years ago hunter gatherer (leaver: Able) society converted to agrarian (taker: Kane) society who began to harvest and store food to make through the winter. (Living outside the hands of God) This change led to commerce, the accumulation of wealth, and empires that rise and fall. The fall historically happens when the gap between haves and have-not grows to unjust or unsustainable proportions and the have-nots take back that which should rightfully be everyone’s to share and benefit from. (The meek shall inherit the Earth)

Many fixate on religion, which is by design. Whether they fixate from a dogmatic response conditioned by years of compulsory church/synagogue/mosque attendance or by railing against it from years of compulsory education which has conditioned them to replace deity worship with state/science worship, it is the same.

I’m not a financial expert, but I know what I see. Worldwide, everything is starting to collapse. First, it’s the smaller places like Syria and Greece. Next, it’s China and the USA. My biggest fear is not the impending economic collapse. That is a foregone conclusion to me. The biggest concern I have is that we people who think and understand greatly overestimate the amount of our citizens who are capable of thinking and understanding. This is illustrated by the post that mentions “half of the population wants government takeover half wants liberty”. I actually wish this were true. But 80% of our population does not have the capacity to even understand these arguments. More ominous is my belief that they haven’t just “stuck their head in the sand” in blissful ignorance. I mean they are truly too stupid and/or uneducated to even grasp the issues of the debate.
