Political violence and mass shootings have become so common in the U.S. that a lot of us are numb to all of it by now. Day after day, there are more incidents in the news. In fact, the horrific acts of violence that I talked about a few days ago have already been drowned out by several new incidents that happened over the weekend. This is not normal. When I was a young boy, the churches that I attended did not have any security and I never dreamed that someone would come in and start shooting. But now that sort of thing happens all the time. On Sunday, a 40-year-old man rammed his truck into a Mormon church in Michigan and opened fire on the hundreds of people that were gathered inside…

Three people are dead, including the shooter, and nine others are hospitalized after a shooting Sunday morning at a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, according to police.

Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye said a 40-year-old Burton man rammed a vehicle into the church on McCandlish Road before opening fire on hundreds of people who were worshiping.

In addition to shooting a bunch of people, he also set the church on fire, and it is expected that more dead bodies will be discovered…

In addition to shooting victims, Renye said the suspect also set the church on fire. The police chief believes more victims may be found inside the church once the fire is extinguished, and it is safe to enter.

It is obvious that this was a targeted attack, and hopefully we will learn more about the shooter’s motive in the hours ahead.

When he learned about what had happened in Michigan, President Trump declared that America’s “epidemic of violence” must end…

I agree.

This epidemic of violence must end.

But we all know that is not going to happen.

The night before the mass shooting in Michigan, there was a mass shooting in North Carolina…

Three people were killed and eight were injured when a gunman fired numerous shots from a passing boat into a crowded dockside North Carolina restaurant on Saturday night.

Officials said the unidentified boater pulled up to the American Fish Company restaurant in Southport Yacht Basin, about 30 miles south of Wilmington, and opened fire into the crowd of unsuspecting diners at around 9:30 p.m.

The boater then took off up the Intracoastal Waterway before a person matching the shooter’s description was spotted loading the vessel at a marina on Oak Island, approximately 5 miles west of the scene, at around 10 p.m., according to Southport city officials.

In this case, we are being told that the shooter was a combat veteran.

But we don’t know why he picked that particular restaurant.

As I have stated previously, we live at a time when there is no place that is truly safe in this country.

There are literally millions of lunatics running around out there, and political violence just keeps erupting over and over again.

In an attempt to end the political violence in Portland, President Trump is sending in troops and is authorizing them to use “full force”…

What an ominous thing to say.

When Oregon Governor Tina Kotek heard about Trump’s decision, she went ballistic…

Oregon’s Democrat Governor Tina Kotek openly declared war on President Trump’s plan to restore order in Portland, telling the President of the United States to “stand down” and keep federal troops out of her state, even as Antifa terrorists and far-left agitators have spent years terrorizing the city.

At a press conference in downtown Portland, Kotek dismissed Trump’s announcement of a military deployment as an “abuse of power” and a “misuse of federal troops.”

Kotek insisted Oregon does not need national support, despite Portland’s well-documented history of firebombings, riots, and violent assaults carried out under the Antifa banner.

It is going to be very interesting to see how this plays out.

The governor of the state does not want troops there, and the mayor of the city does not want troops there either.

But Trump is sending them anyway.

The reason why Trump is sending them is because the ICE facility in Portland has been under siege for months…

Since June, protests have erupted near an ICE facility in Portland, where city officials cited land use violations, including improper detainee holding times and boarded-up windows.

The building has been vandalized with anti-ICE graffiti and clashes between protesters and federal agents have occasionally turned violent, leading to the use of rubber bullets, tear gas and flash bangs.

Video obtained by Fox News Digital confirmed another violent protest in August, with footage showing protesters rolling out a guillotine, lighting fires and fighting with authorities — forcing law enforcement to disperse the crowd with munitions.

Local law enforcement has not been able to get the situation under control.

One local resident says that far left rioters are causing chaos night after night even when nothing is going on at the facility…

“Every night, there’s tons of protesters basically being vagrants on the street,” David Schmidt, a Portland resident said. “The people that live in all these buildings right here have hell to go through. They are making noise constantly, even when nobody from ICE is outside. So for hours, they would be out here just disrupting the public here that lives here.”

So I can understand why Trump wants to do something.

But there is also a risk that sending in troops could actually spark an increase in violence.

In fact, there have already been violent clashes in Portland since Trump made his announcement…

Meanwhile, there have been a series of violent confrontations at an ICE facility in Chicago.

Last night, things got particularly bad…

Tear gas billowed through the air outside an ICE facility in suburban Chicago as protestors and federal agents continued to clash Saturday, hours after the Trump administration announced plans to send more federal agents to cities across the country.

Though these protests have taken place for weeks, including on Friday evening, the clashes are seemingly escalating amid a notable increase in the number of federal agents at the area.

There were clashes for hours, but it all finally ended once federal agents conducted a “shock-and-awe blitz”…

Officers began picking off and arresting dangerous suspects, prompting backlash from their comrades.

Chaos mounted after nightfall and more arrests were made.

Federal authorities eventually launched a shock-and-awe blitz, using armored BearCats, tear gas, pepper balls, and other non-lethal munitions to smash the riot and send most of the protesters fleeing.

Once federal authorities made their move, the streets in the local area looked like a war zone.

Many are calling this a “victory” over the protesters, but they will be back again tonight.

In fact, there will be protests at ICE facilities all over the nation.

A little tear gas is not going to dissuade these far left radicals.

It is imperative to understand that what we have witnessed so far is just the beginning.

It will get worse.

In addition to sending troops to Portland, the Trump administration will also be sending DOJ agents to ICE facilities throughout the country…

In addition Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that she has begun deploying DOJ agents to ICE facilities.

She wrote, “At my direction, I am deploying DOJ agents to ICE facilities—and wherever ICE comes under siege—to safeguard federal agents, protect federal property, and immediately arrest all individuals engaged in any federal crime. Pursuant to President Trump’s recent executive action, I am also instructing the Joint Terrorism Task Forces across the country to disrupt and investigate all entities and individuals engaged in acts of domestic terrorism, including the repeated acts of violence and obstruction against federal agents.”

I would recommend avoiding the areas around ICE facilities for a while.

Far left radicals are going to do their best to cause chaos, and federal agents will do their best to restore order.

What people need to understand is that these protests are being organized and coordinated by well-funded networks that are highly sophisticated.  One of these networks is known as “50501”…

There’s a far-left “anti-fascist” movement calling itself 50501. if you look on the surface, it appears to be some democracy-focused progressive protest network. The name means this: Fifty protests, fifty states, one movement. That is the friendly pitch that shows up in press releases and polite interviews on propaganda media.

But the reality of what’s really going on is dark, demonic, and deadly.

In Reddit groups tied to 50501, members of the group are openly calling for armed retaliation, shootings, and even assassination. And these are not just isolated, fringe outbursts. The screenshots gathered for this report show a consistent pattern of violent talk and direct incitement.

I have never seen so much talk of political violence by the left in all my days.

For example, a website known as “AnarchistNews” just posted a call for all anarchists in the U.S. to engage in “a carnival of war against ICE and all authority”…

AnarchistNews, the long-running anarcho-communist propaganda site, popular among Antifa militants and radical leftists, issued a movement order this week instructing “all anarchists across the country” to disrupt operations at ICE facilities in every city and to “celebrate life with fire against the death march of american law and order.”

“We invite all anarchists across the country not only to occupy and disrupt operations at ICE facilities in every city, but to celebrate life with fire against the death march of american law and order. With tactical diversity, lets meet in the streets and wage a carnival of war against ICE and all authority!” read a post titled “A Call for Anarchist Action in America,” anonymously submitted on AnarchistNews.

Most conservatives have no idea what is being said on far left websites because they would never visit such websites.

But I’m telling you that these people are not joking around.

The era of violent civil unrest that I have been relentlessly warning about is here.

Once Charlie Kirk got assassinated, a lot more conservatives started to wake up to the reality of what we are facing.

The far left really does want a revolution, and they do not intend to give up until they get what they want.

Let us hope that global leaders will not choose a path that takes us to nuclear war, because the fate of billions of people is literally hanging in the balance. Unfortunately, our relations with Russia have deteriorated significantly in recent weeks. Very serious threats are being made, and it appears that both sides are preparing to greatly escalate matters. I think that western leaders are convinced that the Russians will eventually back down, and I think that Russian leaders are convinced that NATO will eventually back down. But what happens if neither side ever backs down?

If a full-blown nuclear war erupts, millions upon millions of people will be immediately killed.

But far more people will die during the nuclear winter that follows.

In fact, one study found that more than 5 billion people could die from starvation in such a scenario…

More than half of the world’s population will die from starvation in an event of a full-scale nuclear war, a new study showed.

A new Nature Food study published Monday indicated that 66% of the world’s population or more than 5 billion people would likely die from starvation within two years should Russia and the United States engage in a nuclear war.

The study, conducted by researchers from Rutgers University, suggested that nuclear weapon detonation could cause massive fires and inject soot from burning cities and forests into the atmosphere. The soot would then circulate to the skies above major global food exporters, such as the U.S., China, Germany and the United Kingdom, blocking out sunlight that is essential in growing crops to feed people.

You may think that you will just grow your own food if something like this happens.

But how are you going to grow your own food when it is freezing cold outside?

We are literally closer to nuclear war than we have ever been before, and we must turn back while there is still time.

Unfortunately, the Trump administration is seriously considering sending Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine…

Volodymyr Zelensky has asked Donald Trump to supply Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles in a ‘massively positive’ private meeting held on the sidelines of the United Nations.

The Ukrainian President told his American counterpart that the state-of-the-art weapons system could finally force Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table to discuss peace.

Several sources told The Telegraph that the appeal was made during what insiders described as a ‘massively positive’ encounter between the two world leaders.

This must not happen.

Moscow would be in easy range of Tomahawk missiles launched from Ukraine, and that is why Joe Biden was not willing to give them to the Ukrainians…

It remains unclear whether Zelensky will succeed in persuading Washington to provide Tomahawks – which have a range of up to 1,500miles and carry a 450kg warhead, making them vastly more effective than any similar long-range weapon previously donate to Kyiv.

Joe Biden, the former US President, rejected an identical request during his final months in office, when Zelensky presented his so-called 10-point ‘Victory Plan’.

At the time, officials feared the missiles could strike Moscow itself, slip past Russia’s air defences and dangerously escalate the conflict.

Yes, the Russians have the most advanced missile defense systems in the entire world.

But even if a few Tomahawk cruise missiles get through and start slamming into Moscow, the Russians would respond with overwhelming force.

And then there would be no turning back.

Earlier this week, Volodymyr Zelensky remarked that Russians will soon need to know where their bomb shelters are located.  In response, Dmitry Medvedev just warned that “Russia can use weapons a bomb shelter won’t protect against”…

“The Kiev drug addict said the Kremlin should know where a bomb shelter is so its occupants can hide when he uses long-range American weapons,” Medvedev, who is deputy chairman to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Kremlin’s Security Council, and is himself a former president and prime minister of Russia, in a post on X.

“What the freak needs to know is that Russia can use weapons a bomb shelter won’t protect against. Americans should also keep this in mind.”

Someone really needs to tell President Trump that he must not give Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

Sadly, it appears that Trump has completely given up on peace with Russia.

So if there will be no peace, what will we get instead?

Ominously, the U.S. Navy just conducted a test launch of multiple intercontinental ballistic missiles off the coast of Florida…

The US Navy has launched multiple Trident II D5 ballistic missiles off the coast of Florida and into the Atlantic in the latest test of a system that can deliver thermonuclear warheads thousands of miles away.

An Ohio-class submarine launched the unarmed weapons from a submerged position during tests, marking the 197th consecutive successful test flight of the Trident II system.

Meanwhile, the Europeans are threatening to shoot down Russian aircraft…

European diplomats warned the Kremlin this week that NATO is ready to respond to further violations of its airspace with full force, including by shooting down Russian planes, according to officials familiar with the exchange.

At a tense meeting in Moscow, British, French and German envoys addressed their concerns about an incursion by three MiG-31 fighter jets over Estonia last week, according to the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity as the talks took place behind closed doors. Following the conversation, they concluded that the violation had been a deliberate tactic ordered by Russian commanders.

The Russians have warned that if NATO shoots down Russian aircraft there will be war.

But European leaders don’t seem concerned about this threat at all.

In fact, some of them sound quite ready to get this show on the road…

On Wednesday the head of the EU Commission promoted the idea of attacking Russian planes.

“My opinion is we have to defend every square centimeter of the territory,” von der Leyen told CNN on Wednesday. “That means if there is an intrusion in the airspace, after warning, after being very clear, of course the option of shooting down a fighter jet that is intruding our airspace is on the table.”

She was not the only European with that idea, however.

“If another missile or aircraft enters our airspace without permission – either deliberately or by mistake – and gets shot down and the wreckage falls on NATO territory, please don’t come here to whine about it,” Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said at an emergency UN Security Council this week.

Something about all of this doesn’t smell right.

Could it be possible that the stage is being set for some sort of a false flag incident?

It is being reported that there were more than 500 drone sightings over Denmark within a 24 hour period…

Members of the public in Denmark have recorded over 500 possible drone sightings in the past 24 hours, after Scandinavia was targetted in a series of aerial attacks that some European officials have linked to Russia.

The population is full of fear following the drone incursions that shut down two of the country’s airports on Wednesday night in what has been described by officials as a ‘systematic operation’ and a ‘hybrid attack’.

It was the second incident in two days following Monday night’s drone disruption over Copenhagen airport that interfered with around 100 flights and left 20,000 passengers stranded.

The Europeans are claiming that these are “Russian drones”, but Russia insists that it doesn’t have anything to do with them.

To me, it sounds like someone is up to no good.

If you hear that a “Russian drone” has been downed in Denmark, that will be a major red flag.

I am also deeply troubled by reports of leaked Russian documents that appear to show that Russia is helping China prepare for an invasion of Taiwan…

Moscow is helping China to prepare for a potential invasion of Taiwan, according to an analysis of leaked Russian documents by a UK-based defense and security forum.

The Royal United Services Institute’s analysis is based on around 800 pages of documents, including contracts and lists of equipment to be supplied by Moscow to Beijing, from the Black Moon hacktivist group.

The mix of completed and apparent draft Russian documents reference meetings between Chinese and Russian delegations and payment and delivery timelines for high-altitude parachute systems and amphibious assault vehicles.

On top of all that, it is being reported that Russia is actually equipping and training Chinese paratroopers…

Russia has agreed to equip and train a Chinese airborne battalion and share its expertise in airdropping armored vehicles that analysts say could boost Beijing’s capacity to seize Taiwan, according to newly obtained documents that show the two nations’ deepening military cooperation.

The agreements allow Beijing to access training and technology in one of the few areas where Russian capabilities still surpass those of the Chinese military: Russia’s more experienced airborne troops, military analysts said.

Moscow has become increasingly dependent on China for dual use items to prop up its sanctions-hit military industry and sustain its war in Ukraine, but the deals show how Beijing is simultaneously tapping its partner’s battlefield expertise to further Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s drive to build a modern military with capabilities that match or surpass those of the United States.

The Chinese are far more serious about seizing Taiwan than most people realize.

But I had no idea that the Russians were so deeply involved in the preparations for such an operation.

I am so deeply frustrated with both sides.

For years, I have been writing about the wars that they are now dragging us into against our will.

The vast majority of the population does not want war.

But unless there is some sort of a miracle, that is exactly what we are going to get.

Earlier today, I was deeply alarmed to learn that Polish citizens are being instructed to leave Belarus immediately…

The Polish Embassy emphasised that due to rising tensions, ongoing military activity in the region and cases of arbitrary arrests of Polish citizens, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly advises against any travel to Belarus. “In the event of a sudden deterioration of the security situation, border closures or other unforeseen circumstances, evacuation may become significantly more difficult or even impossible. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges Polish citizens currently on the territory of the Republic of Belarus to leave immediately using available commercial or private means of transport,” its statement read.

Why is such an urgent alert being issued now?

And why have hundreds of U.S. military officials been summoned for a secret meeting at a military base in Virginia next week?

I don’t like what I am seeing.

So much is starting to happen, and it appears that global events are about to go into overdrive.

An “unprecedented” gathering of generals and admirals will be happening in Virginia next week, and the purpose of the meeting is a huge mystery.  This has sparked a frenzy of speculation on social media, but we still aren’t getting any answers.  Hopefully we will get an explanation soon, because things are starting to get really weird.  First the “Department of Defense” was renamed the “Department of War”, and then President Trump boldly declared that Ukraine can win the war against Russia and take back all of the territory that the Russians have conquered.  Of course that wouldn’t be possible unless NATO forces got directly involved.  So are we going to war soon?  There are some that believe that this is the real reason why this mysterious gathering of generals and admirals has been scheduled for next week…

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered hundreds of the nation’s top military officers to assemble at a Marine Corps base in northern Virginia next week for an unscheduled meeting, an unusual move that has raised questions inside the Pentagon.

The gathering, set for Tuesday at Quantico, will bring together generals and admirals of one-star rank or higher, along with senior advisers, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke to the Associated Press.

The directive did not include a reason for the meeting. The people, who described the move as extraordinary, were not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

Quantico is quite secure.

I have been there myself.

But I think that it is quite foolish to gather all of our military brass in a single location.

Our enemies know exactly where they are going to be, and they could all be taken out in a single strike.

According to CBS News, all we are being told is that Pete Hegseth will be “addressing his senior military leaders”…

“The Secretary of War will be addressing his senior military leaders early next week,” said chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell.

The Pentagon has provided no other details about the meeting to either the military leaders or the press.

Isn’t this something that could be handled over a video call?

If I was a senior military official, that is what I would be thinking.

Either Pete Hegseth is wasting everyone’s time, or this is something really big.

A war with Russia would certainly qualify as something really big.  On Thursday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov publicly stated that he believes that NATO is already at war with Russia…

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Thursday, per a Public Telegram Board, that NATO and the European Union are waging war against Russia “using Ukraine as a proxy” and are “directly participating” in the conflict. Lavrov’s comments follow repeated Kremlin claims that Western military and financial support for Ukraine amounts to direct hostility toward Russia.

The announcement also comes amid repeated drone incursions into NATO allies’ air space. NATO warned Russia on Tuesday that it was prepared to defend “every inch of allied territory” after Estonia said that Russian fighter jets had violated its airspace last week. The incursion followed a similar incident in Poland earlier this month, where around 20 drones from Moscow entered Polish airspace. Just this week, Denmark reported multiple drone incidents at critical infrastructure points, as a Russian landing ship was discovered lurking off the Danish coast.

Unless the Russians actually want to start something, they need to keep their aircraft out of NATO airspace.

A single incident could potentially change everything.

But the Russians just won’t stop.  In fact, two Tu-95 long-range strategic bombers and two Su-35 fighter jets just flew through the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone…

U.S. fighter jets were scrambled Wednesday to identify and intercept four Russian warplanes flying near Alaska, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said in a statement.

NORAD said two Russian Tu-95 long-range strategic bombers and two Su-35 fighter jets were flying in the Alaskan Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), which is international airspace that abuts U.S. and Canadian sovereign airspace.

NORAD responded Wednesday by sending an E-3 early warning and control aircraft, along with four F-16s and four KC-135 tanker planes, “to positively identify and intercept” the Russian aircraft in the Alaskan ADIZ.

What in the world are the Russians thinking?

If they keep pulling such stunts, it is just a matter of time before one of their aircraft gets shot down.

In fact, Ursula Von der Leyen just warned that shooting down Russian aircraft is very much “on the table”…

Von der Leyen assured Amanpour that the option of shooting Russian aircraft out of the sky is “on the table” – following last week’s alleged drone and jet incursion incidents which took place in Poland, Romania, and Estonia. In each instance jets were scrambled from the NATO countries.

“My opinion is we have to defend every square centimeter of the territory,” von der Leyen told the CNN correspondent. “That means if there is an intrusion in the airspace, after warning, after being very clear, of course the option of shooting down a fighter jet that is intruding our airspace is on the table.”

That’s just great.

Does she not understand what would transpire if that actually happened?

According to Russia’s ambassador to France, if a Russian aircraft gets shot down there “would be war”…

NATO potentially shooting down a Russian plane in allied airspace “would be war,” Russian Ambassador to France, Alexey Meshkov, said in an interview with the RTL news channel published on Sept. 25.

The comments come amid surging tensions between Moscow and NATO as the allies accused Russia of multiple airspace violations in recent weeks.

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that NATO countries should shoot down Russian aircraft violating their airspace, a statement welcomed by many eastern members.

When asked what Russia’s reaction would be in such a case, Meshkov replied that downing a Russian plane would amount to war.

Both sides are being so irrational.

We are closer to war with Russia than we have ever been before, and the Ukrainians are absolutely thrilled about that because they have been trying to draw NATO directly into the conflict for a long time.

Earlier today, it was being reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has gleefully suggested that Russians will soon need “to know where their bomb shelters are”…

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that the Kremlin will become a target and Russian officials should check for bomb shelters if Moscow does not stop its invasion of his country, Axios reported Thursday.

“They have to know where their bomb shelters are,” Zelensky told Axios in an interview. “They need it. If they will not stop the war, they will need it in any case.”

Of course it is also possible that the mysterious gathering of U.S. military officials at Quantico next week could have to do with the situation in the Middle East.

Instead of backing down, Iran is rapidly rebuilding their nuclear facilities…

Speaking to Sky News in Vienna, the head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, also said there will be no direct talks with the US.

He vowed the damaged facilities would be rebuilt despite the threat of further attacks by Israel.

“It is quite normal that during a military attack on facilities, they incur damage and the infrastructure is destroyed,” he said. “What is important is that science, know-how, technology, and industry are long-standing and deeply-rooted in the history of Iran.”

Personally, I will be watching the Middle East very, very closely during the next several weeks.

If something causes war with Iran to suddenly erupt again, that will tell us a lot.

Another theory that is being floated to explain why so many military officials are being summoned to Virginia next week is that the Trump administration is planning a nationwide crackdown on political violence.

As I detailed yesterday, we have entered a new era of violent domestic terrorism.  There have been so many examples of this in 2025, and President Trump is warning the left that “ultimately it’s going to go back on them”…

President Donald Trump warned that Americans on the political right eventually “won’t take it anymore” amid escalating political violence in the United States and suggested they might respond by targeting the left with violence.

“It’s going to get worse and ultimately it’s going to go back on them,” Trump said in the Oval Office on Sept. 25 in response to a question from a reporter. “Bad things happen when they play these games.”

Trump’s remarks came after a gunman opened fire on Sept. 24 at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility, killing one detainee and injuring two others. Trump quickly blamed rhetoric from “radical-left Democrats” for the shooting, which came two weeks after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking on a college campus in Utah.

Will we soon see troops on the streets of major cities all over the country?

If so, how will radical leftists respond?

Lastly, there are some on social media that are suggesting that the mysterious meeting that is being held next week has to do with one of the extremely large comets that are now traveling through our solar system.

3I/ATLAS is not supposed to come anywhere near us, and we are only supposed to go through the orbital debris trail of C/2025 R2 (SWAN).

So at this moment it does not appear that either of them is a significant threat to us.

But maybe we aren’t being told everything.

Only time will tell.

Whatever this secret meeting is about, I just wish that they would invite me.  I would love to talk to them about what is really coming.

There will be no peace with Russia, and we all know what that means. When I initially learned what President Trump had said about the war in Ukraine, I had a very difficult time believing it. When he was running against Kamala Harris, Trump reaffirmed his commitment to end the war in Ukraine over and over again. That was an extremely popular position, because the vast majority of Americans do not want to end up in an apocalyptic conflict with Russia. But now everything has changed. Trump has been receiving really bad advice from his national security team, and based on that advice he has fully embraced the war in Ukraine. In fact, he now appears to believe that Ukraine can actually win the war and take back all of the territory that Russia has conquered.

I had to verify exactly what Trump said about the war for myself, and so I went directly to his Truth Social account.  When I got there, I read the most ominous thing that a president of the United States has said in my entire lifetime…

Ever since I first read this, I have experienced such a mix of emotions.

But at this particular moment, I just feel sad.

I feel like I am watching a great tragedy play out in slow-motion that I am unable to stop.

I have issued very explicit warnings about what will happen if this path is chosen.

Unfortunately, global leaders don’t really listen to people like us.

After Trump posted this extremely alarming message on his Truth Social account, he doubled down on his position during a press appearance…

Speaking next to French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, Trump said: “Russia should have stopped the war.”

He added that his once-close rapport with Putin “didn’t mean anything unfortunately.”

Speaking about his Truth Social post, Trump went on: “Most of you have seen the recent statement I put out.

“I’m glad you got it, but I feel that way.

“Let him get that land back, so we’ll see how it works out.”

A lot of people out there have been waiting to see which way things would go with Russia.

Now we know.

When Trump arrived at the United Nations headquarters on Tuesday, the escalator stopped working as soon as he got on it…

President Donald Trump turned an awkward arrival at the United Nations headquarters in New York City into a political jab Tuesday during his address to the General Assembly moments after the building’s escalator stopped dead just as he and First Lady Melania Trump stepped on it.

The pair posed briefly for cameras as they arrived before stepping onto the escalator that, to the bemusement of onlookers, ground immediately to a halt as they boarded.

After a moment of confusion, Melania quickly strode up the stalled steps, while Trump followed behind, leaving aides and staffers to take the stairs.

Subsequently, when he delivered his speech to the UN General Assembly the teleprompter did not work properly.  This is something that he commented on during his speech…

Trump said elsewhere in his speech that, “All I got from the United Nations was an escalator that on the way up stopped right in the middle,” he alleged, later adding, “These are the two things that I got from the United Nations: a bad escalator and a bad teleprompter. Thank you very much.”

On the exact day when the peace process with Russia was broken, Trump had to deal with a broken escalator and a broken teleprompter at the United Nations.

Is it possible that this was more than just a coincidence?

There was so much hope when President Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

But now it is clear that there will be no peace, and the Russians are not pleased about Trump’s shift in tone at all…

The few early reactions trickling out of Moscow on Wednesday demonstrated how deeply Trump’s unexpectedly friendly appearance in New York alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly vexed the Kremlin, which just weeks ago was gloating over Russian President Vladimir Putin’s warm reception in Alaska.

“Russia is in no way a tiger. Still, Russia is more compared with a bear. There are no paper bears,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said to local radio on Wednesday.

In Alaska, the Russians presented their proposal for ending the war.

You could argue that their proposal was not acceptable, but at least they were willing to talk.

The right thing to do would have been to continue negotiations.

Unfortunately, as Scott Ritter has pointed out, Trump has been getting advice from some very questionable people…

Trump has, from the very onset of his presidency, been ill advised by a coterie of foreign and national security officials who, with very few exceptions, are dyed in the wool Russophobes. From his Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, to his National Security Advisor (initially Mike Waltz and, after his firing in May, Marco Rubio, wearing to hats ala Henry Kissinger), to his Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, to his CIA Director, John Ratcliffe, and on to his Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessant, Trump has surrounded himself with people who have spent their adult lives loathing Russia and its leadership.

To the extent that Trump has access to advisors who might advocate good relations with Russia, he either dismisses their advice (as is the case with Tulsi Gabbard, his Director of National Intelligence), or nullifies their advice by having a Russophobic counter (as is the case with his Russia Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff, whose insights are offset by the anti-Russian positions held by Keith Kellogg.)

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has also been working very hard to sell Trump on the benefits of the war in Ukraine, and he is absolutely thrilled that Trump’s announcement means that we will “continue to sell high end American weapons to NATO for the benefit of Ukraine”…

I would love to know how much money defense contractors have poured into Graham’s campaigns over the years.

There is no possible universe in which Lindsey Graham should have ever been elected to anything.

If Trump keeps listening to warmongers like him, we are all going to be in very deep trouble.

Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to take actions that are intended to provoke such an overwhelming response from Russia that NATO will feel compelled to directly intervene in the war.

For example, the Ukrainians just conducted a large scale drone attack on the Russian port city of Novorossiysk…

On Wednesday a major daytime drone attack from Ukraine rocked the Russian Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk, which reportedly involved both aerial and sea drones.

The city center was hit, and explosions were also witnessed in the water very near the city. The Novorossiysk Hotel, located about 2 kilometers from the port, was also struck along with several buildings and cars. At least 20 cars were on fire, either from a direct hit or falling debris.

It appears that docked vessels of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet may have been among intended targets, given that earlier in the war Russia had transferred much of its fleet from Sevastopol in Crimea to Novorossiysk.

And we also just witnessed a “massive aerial bombardment on Russia’s Belgorod border region”…

Ukraine has launched a massive aerial bombardment on Russia’s Belgorod border region, with initial reports suggesting major damage and many casualties. The attack comes following Volodymyr Zelensky’s meeting with Donald Trump on the sidelines of the United Nations on Tuesday.

The US President praised Ukraine’s army for its courageous resistance and said it was doing a “very effective job”. A rocket attack is reported to have hit the Frez plant in Belgorod, which produces milling cutters and special tools. The Telegram channel “Pepel” is reporting that eyewitnesses are saying there were many casualties following the missile strike.

The purpose of such attacks is to get the Russians to do something really stupid.

Because if the Russians do something really stupid, NATO may feel forced to directly enter the war, and that is what the Ukrainians have wanted all along.

The longer this war goes on, the more likely it becomes that this is how things will play out.

The Russians are losing patience, and one prominent voice is even suggesting that it would be a “terrible sin” not to use nuclear weapons…

Vladimir Putin has been warned that he would be committing a “terrible sin” by NOT using nuclear weapons in Europe. The astonishing claims were made by Sergei Karaganov, 73, aka Professor Doomsday, honorary chairman of the Russian Council for Foreign and Defence Policy, who claimed that unleashing tactical atomic weapons is the only way to prevent a larger war between the US and Russia.

He becomes the latest Putin acolyte and Kremlin commentator to advocate for a nuclear escalation to the conflict in Ukraine and the stand-off with Nato. The comments come after an apparent change of stance from US President Donald Trump who has indicated that Ukraine could feasibly retake all of its territory lost to Putin’s forces. Karaganov said: “The use of nuclear weapons, in extreme cases, in the most dreadful case, is a terrible sin.

“But not using them and condemning your people and the world to a major war is an even greater sin.

“That is an even more terrible sin.”

There are many thinkers inside Russia that are convinced that NATO will back down once the Russians show that they are willing to use a nuclear weapon.

I very much disagree with that assessment, because I believe that it would just cause NATO to respond in kind.

If even a single nuclear weapon is used in this conflict or in the Middle East, peace will be taken from the Earth.

We are so close to the unthinkable, and the vast majority of the population still has no idea where events are taking us.

We sure have seen a lot of really crazy things happen so far this year. But in the minds of most Americans, there is one crisis that far outweighs everything else. As I have been documenting for years, our standard of living has been collapsing as the cost of living has risen must faster than our incomes have. As a result, 67 percent of U.S. workers are now living paycheck to paycheck. We are in the midst of the worst cost of living crisis in modern history, and Statista has found that Americans consider it to be the biggest challenge that they are facing by a very large margin…

The cost of living won this survey in a blowout, but that shouldn’t be a surprise to any of us.

And as economic conditions continue to deteriorate, it is going to get even worse.

Many Americans are going deep into debt in a desperate attempt to stay afloat, and one recent survey found that nearly half of all Americans now worry about debt every single day…

Debt weighed heavily on daily life for many participants. Just under half (46.5%) said they worry about debt every day. Half admitted to avoiding their bank statements, a behavior that could worsen financial problems by delaying action.

Shame was another theme. More than half of respondents (54.6%) said they felt embarrassed about their debt, even though nearly everyone surveyed (98%) reported owing money.

When asked about specific concerns, the most common answers included falling behind on payments (53.7%), not having enough for retirement (53.7%), discovering higher balances than expected (53.5%), losing homes or belongings (53.3%), and leaving little to children (51.8%).

It is easy to tell people that they should get out of debt.

But for the two-thirds of the country that is living paycheck to paycheck, there is never an opportunity to get ahead of the game.

And a lot of people that are living on the financial edge are now losing their jobs.

During the second quarter of this year, a whopping 17 trucking and logistics companies went bankrupt…

At least 17 trucking and logistics companies filed for bankruptcy in the second quarter of 2025 alone, Equipment Finance News reported.

While dry van truckload contract rates were flat in the first half of 2025 from the same period a year ago, as FreightWaves reported, trucking spot rates, which shippers pay carriers for a one-time shipment, however, finished the first half below year-over-year levels.

Long-haul truckload demand reportedly plummeted by 25% in the first half of 2025, with trucking becoming more of a short-haul delivery method for the final leg of freight movement.

At this moment, we are in a trucking recession.

If the economy was moving in the right direction, that would not be happening.

The retail industry is experiencing a tremendous amount of pain as well.

This may be difficult to believe, but the largest shopping mall in San Francisco is now 93 percent empty…

The largest shopping mall in San Francisco is now reportedly 93% vacant and has seen its value plunge by 25% over the past year, as high rents and retail crime continue to batter the Northern California city.

A new appraisal has slashed the value of San Francisco Centre, located at 865 Market Street, to $195 million, which is a 25% decrease since August 2024 and more than $1 billion below its valuation in 2016, the San Francisco Chronicle reported, citing research from Morningstar.

The 1.4 million-square-foot mall has become largely deserted, with 93% of its property now empty, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

I haven’t written about it for a while, but our rapidly growing commercial real estate crisis is reaching a crescendo.

As large numbers of commercial mortgages go bad, many of our financial institutions suddenly find themselves in very hot water.

Meanwhile, a residential real estate crisis is quickly developing.  In some of the markets that were once the hottest, condo prices have begun to crash…

Condo prices in Killeen, TX, a little over an hour north of Austin, have collapsed by 40% since the peak in mid-2022 and have given up the entire 52% spike from mid-2020 to mid-2022, plus some. The spike had been driven by FOMO-madness and the Fed’s Free Money policies. This is one of the fastest-growing cities around; its population has surged by 35% in the past 15 years to 160,000 in 2024.

But Killeen and other cities like this with condo markets in free-fall don’t qualify for our list here because they’re too small.

Several additional cities made it onto this list because the August price drop brought the total price drop from the peak to 12%, including Phoenix, AZ, and Orlando, FL.

In so many ways, it is starting to feel like 2008 all over again.

Of course it isn’t just the U.S. that is experiencing significant economic pain.

Earlier today, I came across an article that was posted on Zero Hedge that warned that “the collapse of the German economy continues unabated”…

The collapse of the German economy continues unabated. The German Engineering Federation (VDMA) now expects a dramatic decline in production this year and lashes out at the federal government.

A rebound in the German economy this autumn has failed to materialize. Just a week ago, the Federal Statistical Office revised the country’s GDP decline for Q2 2025 from –0.1% to –0.3%. Now, the German machinery association follows suit with its forecast for the full year, confirming the ongoing downward trend in production: “We had previously expected a decline of 2 percent, now we anticipate minus 5 percent for 2025,” says VDMA President Bertram Kawlath, who expects production to grow by just 1 percent in 2026. Was 2025 really the trough?

I have been watching Germany for quite some time.

This is not a good sign at all.

I will probably have much more to say about the deteriorating situation in Europe in future articles.

At this stage, the entire global economy has reached a critical tipping point.

It certainly wouldn’t take much to push us into a worldwide economic nightmare, and I am expecting so much chaos in the months ahead.

A lot of people out there seem to think that they have no need to prepare for what is coming.

They are wrong.

Yes, things are bad now, but what is on the horizon is going to be much worse.

I am deeply saddened by what is happening to our country. America is reaching a boiling point, and it appears that we have entered a new era of civil unrest in which political violence will become the norm. At this moment in our history, we should all be denouncing political violence as loudly as we can. Unfortunately, there are many voices that are loudly calling for more political violence. I have been warning that this time would come for so many years, and now it is here. The “left” deeply hates the “right”, and the “right” deeply hates the “left”. But how is a bitterly divided nation supposed to thrive? How is it even supposed to survive? Those that founded this country shared a common set of core values, but today there are no core values that still unite us, because the core values that our founders believed in so strongly have been abandoned. In fact, in so many ways America is now the complete opposite of what our founders intended.

Decades ago, we would laugh at the pathetic nations that were constantly plagued by political violence.

Now we are one of those nations.

A man in New Hampshire was just arrested for threatening to use homemade pipe bombs to assassinate New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte…

A ponytailed New Hampshire man has been arrested after allegedly plotting to assassinate the state’s Republican governor with a ‘weapon of mass destruction.’

Tristan Anderson, 22, is accused of threatening to kill Governor Kelly Ayotte with homemade pipe bombs.

According to investigators, Anderson made the chilling threats to his roommate on Snapchat, bragging about his plans and showing off the materials he intended to use.

Hopefully authorities will lock up that nut for a long time, but the truth is that there are millions of others just like him.

For example, a crazed leftist at Oberlin College has boldly proclaimed that we “need to bring back political assassinations”…

A radical leftist student at Oberlin College casually called for political assassinations to continue in the wake of the targeted killing of political activist Charlie Kirk last week, according to an online post she made.

“We need to bring back political assassinations,” said Julia Xu in a social media post, where her handle is @bringbacktheguillotine.

“I don’t feel bad and I don’t think that everyone deserves the right to free speech. Some people should be afraid to express their opinion in public.”

That is sick.

So where did she get such horrifying ideas?

Well, it turns out that her thinking has been greatly influenced by Chairman Mao…

Xu is on the advisory board of campus group the Gender, Sexuality and Attraction Initiatives, an office that supports queer, trans and women’s programming at the school. Xu, who uses they/them pronouns, is also a member of Students for a Free Palestine.

Xu said she made the comments about Kirk, who was assassinated during a student debate at Utah Valley University in Orem last week, after being given five minutes for “hot takes” during her “Revolution, Socialism and Reform in China” class.

She said her statement was influenced by her learnings about Chairman Mao, then went on to misguidedly (and perhaps inadvertently) praise the Chinese leader’s authoritarianism.

There are many on the left that would be thrilled if the United States was transformed into another version of communist China.

And a lot of them are openly admitting that blood must be spilled to accomplish that goal.  In fact, a tax collector in Pennsylvania has openly admitted that she is “so tired of being told” that violence isn’t the answer…

All over social media, there are people that are talking about a violent uprising.

That should chill you to the core.

In response, the Trump administration plans to crack down on left-wing organizations.

In fact, President Trump just announced that Antifa will be officially designated as a terrorist organization…

President Trump announced Wednesday that he will designate antifa as a terrorist organization, and is recommending investigations into people who allegedly fund it.

It’s unclear when the designation will take place, or what legal implications it will have. Antifa — short for anti-fascist — is a loose affiliation of mostly left-leaning activists, and generally is not considered to be a highly organized group.

I don’t think that people understand what this means.

During previous administrations, terrorists have been shipped off to Guantanamo Bay to be tortured and hunted down by predator drones.

In his post announcing this change on Truth Social, President Trump explained that Antifa will now be deemed to be “A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION”…

So how will it be determined whether leftist protesters are part of Antifa or not?

There are so many unanswered questions.

But what we do know is that the temperature is rising in this country, and it got even hotter when Jimmy Kimmel was suddenly pulled off the air…

After ABC’s suspension of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” over the comedian’s comments on Charlie Kirk, reactions have been swift, and many question remain.

The Walt Disney-owned network confirmed on Wednesday, Sept. 17, that it has indefinitely pulled Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night talk show following comments he made on a Sept. 15 episode regarding the fatal shooting of the conservative commentator.

I don’t understand why he was still on the air.

He was supposed to be a comedian, but he simply was not funny.

Maybe that is why so few people were still watching him.

ABC decided to make this move because Kimmel suggested that Charlie Kirk’s shooter was part of “the MAGA gang”…

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” he said.

Jimmy Kimmel should have known better than to say something like that, because everyone knows that it isn’t true.

So his employer held him accountable.

But all over BlueSky, liberals are freaking out as if some major turning point in our history has just happened.  Here is one example…

First, Stephen Colbert. Now Jimmy Kimmel. Is it sinking in now? Do you all get it now? We now live in an authoritarian dictatorship. The United States of America as we know it is OVER for everyone.

There are a lot of things that are going on in this country that are worth getting tremendously upset about.

The cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel is not one of them.

But Rosie O’Donnell believes that this nation “is no more” now that Jimmy Kimmel is off the air…

O’Donnell lamented on Instagram: “this is unacceptable – f— this fascist administration and corrupt corporate executives – bowing to the orange monster – america is no more .”

She is not rational.

Unfortunately, we have reached a point where vast segments of the U.S. population are not rational.

And when people are not thinking rationally, violence can erupt.

When asked about what just happened to Jimmy Kimmel, actor Jason Bateman had some very ominous things to say…

‘Well, it’s troubling to say the least,’ the A-list star said. ‘And we all have to really take a moment and figure how we feel about this type of thing.

‘Especially, people doing what you do.

‘I’m sure there’s going to be some sort of collective move to respond to this, but I’m not smart enough or powerful enough to be the one to do it but I imagine there’s plenty of conversations going on to do something, because you just can’t stand by and let stuff like that go on.’

Exactly what did he mean when he said that “you just can’t stand by and let stuff like that go on”?

If he suggesting what it sounds like he is suggesting?

Everyone needs to take a step back and cool down for a while.

But of course that isn’t going to happen, is it?

2025 is the moment when our national boiling point is being reached, and things are only going to get crazier from here.

“Efficiency” has become one of the hottest trends in the tech industry, and that is really bad news for American workers, because one of the best ways to become “more efficient” is to get rid of low-performing employees.  Just about every time a big tech company fires a bunch of workers, the stock price of that particular company makes a significant jump.  Needless to say, many executives have taken note of this, and that could help to explain why even highly successful tech companies have been conducting multiple rounds of mass layoffs in 2025.

Through September 15th, the tech industry has laid off more than 166,000 workers.

And by the end of this year, it is being projected that the grand total could reach nearly a quarter of a million…

Between 1 January and 15 September 2025, more than 166,000 employees were laid off in the technology sector. We estimate that, on average, 645 workers have lost their jobs every day since the start of the year and, at this pace, the tech industry is set to let go of another 69,005 people by year-end. If the trend continues, calculations show that total tech-sector layoffs in 2025 could reach 235,392.

Tech industry jobs are good paying jobs.

So it isn’t as if a bunch of people that are making minimum wage suddenly have to find something else to do.

When good paying jobs are eliminated, the middle class gets smaller.

And as I have extensively documented, middle class workers that have lost their jobs are having an exceedingly difficult time finding new employment in this very harsh environment.

The tech company that is slashing jobs the hardest is Intel.

By the end of this year, more than 30,000 Intel employees will have been forced to hit the bricks…

The company cutting the most jobs so far in 2025 is Intel, which had close to 109,000 employees at the end of 2024 and, by the end of this year, plans to reduce headcount to 75,000, according to Reuters, effectively slashing more than 30 thousand positions.

Without a doubt, Intel has been struggling.

So it makes sense that they are reducing headcount.

But tech companies that have been highly profitable are also brutally cutting employees.

For example, Microsoft has already conducted multiple rounds of mass layoffs in 2025…

Since the beginning of 2025, Microsoft has laid off more than 19,000 employees across various divisions and departments. This includes a limited number of performance-based layoffs in January, reductions within its Xbox division, as well as another 6,000 job cuts announced in May. In its latest round, the company said it would further reduce headcount, eliminating management positions across different teams and regions.

Of course we are also seeing painful layoffs happen in many other industries as well.

In fact, we haven’t seen widespread layoffs of this magnitude in the construction industry since the days of the Great Recession…

As unsold completed new-build inventory piles up and builders see their pricing power decrease—particularly in Sun Belt markets like Austin, Tampa, and Jacksonville—more homebuilders are turning to layoffs to avoid a larger margin compression. Many builders are trimming corporate staff head counts a little and scaling back on spec construction in areas where supply has gotten too high for their liking.

Look no further than a recent John Burns Research and Consulting survey, which found that 63% of U.S. homebuilders said their local peers had recently conducted layoffs, while only 14% reported no recent layoffs among peers.

The numbers were even more striking in key Sun Belt markets: 87% of Texas builders and 79% of Florida builders said their peers had recently cut workers.

Those numbers are horrifying.

I have such respect for those that build our homes, because they are actually doing something that greatly benefits our society.

If our economy was functioning properly, there would be tremendous demand for construction workers right now, because we are facing a national housing shortage epidemic.

But our economy is not functioning properly, and vast numbers of highly skilled workers are being canned.

And most of us knew that this was coming.

A survey that was conducted last December found that 81 percent of American workers were concerned about losing their jobs in 2025.

Now we know why.

With each passing day, there are more shocking layoff announcements in the news.

Overall, the number of announced job cuts in the United States is up 66 percent compared to last year.

It is very clear which direction the employment market is going, and nobody can deny it.

Meanwhile, the cost of living just continues to soar.

The price of coffee has already risen to absolutely absurd levels, and this week coffee futures spiked to very alarming levels…

Arabica coffee futures have soared over the past six weeks, reaching their highest level since February as traders closely monitor tightening supplies, adverse weather conditions in Brazil and other top growers, and uncertainty surrounding upcoming harvests, which has fueled a short squeeze.

Arabica, the premium bean used by Starbucks, Dunkin’, and other chains, jumped as much as 6.2% to $4.21 on Monday, with momentum easing on Tuesday as $4.20 emerged as a line of resistance. Notably, futures have surged nearly 50% since early August.

What this means is that the price of coffee is going to be even higher in 2026.

Ouch.

In fact, bad weather in South America has caused so much damage that we are being told that “there is ZERO POSSIBILTY for global production to recover until 2030″…

In a mid-August report, we cited Maja Wallengren, Danish-born independent coffee market reporter and founder of SpillingTheBean, who warned that adverse weather across key coffee-producing areas in Brazil, including the entire Cerrado Mineiro region and parts of Southern Minas, had experienced “frost damage” severe enough to be a potential “death blow” to the 2026 harvest.

Wallengren recently warned that “multiple and continuing weather disasters across the world’s Arabica and Robusta producing countries” are producing an extreme situation where “there is ZERO POSSIBILTY for global production to recover until 2030 and it’s a FACT that The World IS Running Out of Coffee !!“

At the same time, the price of ground beef has risen to an all-time record high of $6.32 per pound.

Of course just about everything in the grocery store has become much more expensive in the past few years.

One young nursing student that was just interviewed by the BBC admitted that “prices are really drastically high”…

But Americans like Yanique Clarke are feeling the pinch.

Yanique, a nursing student in Manhattan who identifies as lower-income, said while shopping for groceries at a Target store this week that “prices are really drastically high” for meat, vegetables and fruit.

“It’s quite a while now, but it’s getting higher,” she said.

If you think that prices are bad now, just wait until you see what 2026 will bring.

As real food becomes increasingly expensive, more companies than ever will be pushing food products that are made from mass produced bugs or from cheap GMO sludge.

Some have even joked that we could be moving toward a “Soylent Green” society.  Interestingly, New Jersey just became the 14th state in the last 6 years to legalize human composting…

The Garden State approved a bill that legalizes human composting, an alternative to traditional burials in which a corpse is transformed into nutrient-rich soil that loved ones can use to feed their favorite houseplant or scatter like ashes.

Human composting, more formally known as natural organic reduction, has skyrocketed in popularity after the COVID-19 pandemic left more than a million Americans dead.

New Jersey is the 14th state to have legalized the practice over the last six years.

This is what happens when a society no longer has any respect for human life.

We have slaughtered millions upon millions of our own people, and we continue to do it to this day.

If we keep traveling down this road, we will get exactly what we deserve.

Just look at what we have become.

It is so sick.

We must wake up and reverse course.

If we do not wake up and reverse course, the layoffs that we are witnessing now will be the least of our problems.

How can we possibly undo the severe long-term damage that has been done to an entire generation of young people over the course of several decades?  One of the most powerful pieces of evidence that our society is a failure is the fact that we have produced a “lost generation” of young adults that doesn’t have any hope.  We shipped most of them off to public schools where they were trained to believe that they came from monkeys, there is no purpose to their lives, and when they die nothing waits for them on the other side.  This sick philosophy is endlessly pounded into the heads of our young people, and many of those that have adopted it have come to the conclusion that they might as well live as hedonistically as they can while they are here.  Of course that doesn’t give them any meaning or purpose either, and so a lot of them end up sort of drifting through life seeking anything that can fill the painful emptiness that they feel inside.

It isn’t really a mystery why so many of our young people have gone completely insane.  Our modern liberal society urges them to constantly chase after things that will never satisfy them.  As a result, we have a national epidemic of loneliness, a national epidemic of depression, a national epidemic of drug abuse, and a national epidemic of suicide.

Our young people are offered one hamster wheel after another.  Each time, they are told that if they will just run hard enough they will finally be happy.

Of course that never actually happens.

It all starts in the public schools.  Parents send their children to these schools believing that they will receive a quality education, but the truth is that the quality of education in our public schools just keeps getting worse…

The reading and math scores of 12th graders have plunged to their lowest level in over 20 years.

The scores, part of a test from the National Assessment of Education Progress, showed the average reading score for 12th graders dropped to the lowest level since the NAEP first administered the reading assessment in 1992. The average score for 12th graders in math in 2024 was the lowest since 2005, when the math assessment framework changed significantly.

I went to public schools all the way through high school, and then I attended two public universities for a total of eight years.

The quality of the education that I received was a joke.

The entire system is a fraud!  It is about time that we all finally admit that the emperor doesn’t have any clothes on.

But what our public schools are good at is indoctrinating young minds.  For example, just consider what has been happening in the state of Maryland…

Schools are subverting students’ mental health by endlessly hectoring them to doubt or despise their own bodies. These school antics reached epidemic level even before the start of the Covid pandemic. In 2019, the state of Maryland issued regulations to promote “viewing each student’s” “gender identity and expression” as “valuable.” Government officials and political appointees arrogated to themselves the prerogative to redefine gender in the state of Maryland. Montgomery County, the largest school system in the state, announced that it would choose books for the curriculum “through an ‘LGBTQ+ Lens’ and ask whether books ‘reinforced or disrupted’ ‘stereotypes,’ ‘cisnormativity,’ and ‘power hierarchies,’” according to a brief filed at the Supreme Court by parents who successfully challenged the school system. That brief also noted that “teachers are told to frame disagreement with [pro-LGBTQ] ideas as ‘hurtful,’ and to counter with examples of ‘men who paint their nails’ or ‘wear dresses.’” The goal is to instill in children “a new perspective not easily contravened by their parents,” as the county school board admitted.

The indoctrination produced a 582% increase in the number of kids self-identifying as “non-binary” in Montgomery County schools. “Disrupting children’s thinking” has been so successful that almost half of the students identified themselves as non-binary.

Sadly, most parents have no idea what is really going on in these schools.

They just assume that their kids are being prepared for life in the real world.

But instead they are having leftist “values” systematically shoved down their throats.

Needless to say, it gets even worse at the next level.

Our colleges and universities are completely and utterly dominated by radical leftists.

This is why so many of our young people abandon the values that they were raised with once they enroll in these “institutions of higher learning”.  This is a point that was made exceptionally well in a recent article by Victor Davis Hanson…

Hundreds of thousands of students emerge from campuses not just indoctrinated with contempt for the Western tradition and American exceptionalism, and not just often thousands of dollars in debt from inflated tuition, but also poorly educated by the standards that once defined education.

The working classes and high school graduates, supposedly the losers of our society, are not those who are dividing the country. They are not often advocating violence or trying to use any means necessary to overturn the established order. But so often the products of the modern university are doing just that.

Sadly, in all these recent horrors, the ideology behind them—the premise that either birthed or appeased them—was birthed in modern higher education.

He is right.

Once upon a time, colleges and universities were primarily concerned with equipping students with the skills that they would need for their future careers.

Today, colleges and universities are primarily concerned with brainwashing impressionable young kids.

So how is that working out for our society?

Well, we now have a raging epidemic of loneliness among our young people…

Half of U.S. youth say that loneliness has a daily disruptive impact on their mental health, according to Hopelab and Data For Progress survey results shared exclusively with Axios.

In addition, the percentage of the population that is suffering with or receiving treatment for depression has nearly doubled over the past decade…

Depression remains an ongoing problem in the U.S. as historically high rates persist, polling company Gallup reveals.

The reported percentage of U.S. adults suffering or receiving treatment for depression has been higher than 18 percent for the past two years. A decade ago, in 2015, the number was just over 10 percent.

“The increase is alarming, and it is important that we keep an open mind and explore all possible causes for the rapid, and apparently sustained, rise in depression rates over the past decade,” Dr. Gerard Sanacora, a professor of psychiatry, director of Yale Depression Research Program and co-director of Yale New Haven Hospital Interventional Psychiatry Service at Yale University, told Newsweek.

On top of everything else, “deaths of despair” caused by alcohol abuse, drug abuse and suicide are absolutely soaring…

Two non-profits, Trust for America’s Health and Well Being Trust, published a report this month which paints a harrowing picture of reality for millennials with an addiction in the United States. According to the report, which is an analysis of data from the CDC, millennials are the most likely age demographic to die from alcohol, drug abuse, and suicide. Millennials are most often defined as people who were born between the years 1981 and 1996, although some definitions expand the category to cover people who were born up through the year 2000.

Over the course of one decade, from 2007 to 2017, the rate of alcohol-related deaths among millennials rose by 69%, the rate of deaths caused by drugs rose by 108%, and the suicide rate rose by 35%. The report also indicates that the opioid epidemic has devastated millennials. From 1999 to 2017, the rate of fatal opioid overdoses among millennials rose by 500% and the rate of fatal overdoses involving synthetic opioids (especially fentanyl) skyrocketed by 6,000%.

Please go back and look at those numbers one more time.

What we are doing is clearly not working.

We have a system that does not give our young people any hope, and the consequences have been absolutely devastating.
