If you look like you have money, you are a potential target.  I know that statement may sound crass, but we all need to understand that the environment in this country has fundamentally changed.  Criminals in our large urban areas are specifically searching for easy targets that appear to be wealthy.  So if you are spotted leaving an expensive restaurant in a very expensive vehicle, you may be facing gun-toting criminals in your driveway once you get back home.  Last month, the Los Angeles Police Department issued a community alert warning of an alarming rise in “follow home robberies”…

Suspects have been locating victims before following them and committing the robberies as the victim arrives home or at their business, according to a safety bulletin released by the department’s Robbery-Homicide Division.

Authorities say victims have been followed from places such as the Jewelry District of Los Angeles, nightclubs and high-end restaurants, and along Melrose Avenue.

In the old days, criminals would be content with just taking a purse or a wallet.

These days, they want to follow you home and go through everything that you have got.

Another way that criminals are gaining access to homes in southern California is by posing as landscapers…

Burglars in California are appearing to target the homes of Asian-Americans while posing as landscapers in a series of thefts that come amid a rise in follow-home robberies, authorities said last week.

The Torrance Police Department issued a warning on Wednesday about the similarities between multiple residential burglaries that have occurred in recent weeks in Torrance, a city in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area.

If a group of young men come to your home uninvited, do not open the door and do not let them inside.

That is only common sense, but many people are way too trusting these days.

Of course many criminals are still breaking into homes in the middle of the night.  On December 1st, 81-year-old philanthropist Jackie Avant was ruthlessly murdered by thugs that invaded her home while it was dark outside…

The shooting death of philanthropist Jackie Avant, wife of legendary music executive Clarence Avant, in a Dec. 1 break-in at the couple’s Beverly Hills home has also raised fear in entertainment circles and brought new urgency to solving these increasingly violent crimes.

“It’s hard to believe someone would murder an 81-year-old woman in the middle of the night at Trousdale Estates,” said veteran radio host and Avant family friend, Tavis Smiley, in an interview with TheWrap. “It’s hard to wrap your mind around something so barbaric.”

Celebrities all over L.A. are freaking out about this incident because they realize that the exact same thing could soon happen to them.

In northern California, professional thieves targeted a string of cannabis shops during the month of November…

Cannabis shops across the San Francisco Bay Area have been thrown into dire straits as gangs of thieves broke into more than 15 shops throughout November during the series of ‘smash-and-grab’ robberies that are plaguing California.

Oakland Police Chief LeRonne Armstrong told reporters that ‘hundreds’ of vehicles targeted marijuana stores in Oakland last month, firing 175 shots and stealing about $5 million worth of products.

It turns out that thieves really like marijuana.

Who would have ever imagined that?

Thieves on the west coast just continue to get more organized and more sophisticated, and many believe that conditions will just continue to get worse in California as we head into 2022.

Meanwhile, younger employees at Bank of America in New York City are being encouraged to “dress down” in order to make themselves less attractive to violent criminals…

At Bank of America, senior executives have quietly encouraged younger employees to “dress down” to attract less attention as they make their way to B of A’s tower at 1 Bryant Park.

These execs have told their staffers that dressing up, or wearing anything with a Bank of America logo, could make them a target. One bank employee told On The Money he is on high alert after he spotted someone with a knife near the office during a recent trek to the Manhattan workplace.

At one time, New York City was one of the safest major cities on the entire planet, but now violent crime is starting to spiral out of control.

Last week, the entire world was stunned by the brutal stabbing murder of a Columbia University doctoral student…

A Columbia University doctoral student was knifed to death Thursday night near the Ivy League college’s historic Manhattan campus – one of three people attacked by an ‘ecstatic’ gang member on a violent stabbing spree.

Davide Giri, 30, a PhD candidate in computer science, died around 11pm after being stabbed in the stomach by a 25-year-old member of the Bloods gang off-shoot, Everybody Killas, who has 16 prior arrests dating back to 2012 and was out on parole for a 2015 gang assault, police said.

I know that this may not be politically correct to say, but if you see someone walking around with a knife in the middle of a large city, the best thing to do is to run.

Many years ago, following my instincts got me out of a couple of really bad situations.

Of course the violence in our major urban areas is much worse today, and the numbers just continue to rise.  For example, the number of felony assaults in New York City is way up compared to a year ago…

Of course, it’s not just Bank of America where worries over crime pervade. The city reported a 15 percent increase in felony assaults over the past 28 days, as of Nov. 28, when compared to the same period a year ago, according to NYPD statistics.

Needless to say, this is just the beginning.  The crime and chaos in our biggest cities is going to escalate even more in the years ahead.

We live at a time when the poor greatly resent the wealthy, and many of those that are “taking from the rich” actually feel justified in doing so.

If you are wise, you will adjust your behavior accordingly and make yourself less of a target.

But most people will just keep on doing what they have always done, and the predators will continue to have plenty of easy targets.

I never imagined that I would ever write an article containing the words “fear of Omicron”, but here we are.  As many have pointed out, “Omicron” sounds like the name of a really bad science fiction villain from the 1980s.  Global health authorities conveniently skipped over “Xi” in the Greek alphabet, and so now we have a very scary name for what is apparently a very mild variant.  Actually, there was a movie called “Omicron” that was released in 1963 that had an extremely bizarre plot.  In the movie, an alien takes over the body of a human “in order to learn about the planet so his race can take it over.”  Even more strange, a video game called “Omikron” was put out by Microsoft in 1999 that featured demons harvesting the souls of humans…

The emergence of the Omicron variant has led some nostalgic gamers to revisit Omikron: The Nomad Soul, a 1999 video game with plenty of alarming visuals that are ideal nightmare fuel. The game was initially released for Microsoft Windows and eventually became available on Dreamcast. It was developed by Quantic Dream in partnership with David Bowie and follows players as they try to save their own souls.

David voiced a character named Boz in the game, which also focused on players attempting to hunt down a serial killer, and featured demons that lure humans into Omikron. If a player loses in the game, their actual soul is said to be lost for all eternity. The game stands as the only time that the singer was ever featured in a video game, and now its connection to COVID has some reexamining it.

“Omicron” would certainly be a fitting name if this was the scariest COVID variant so far, but those on the ground in South Africa are telling us that all cases up to this point have been “mild”…

South Africa is seeing an increase in COVID-19 reinfections due to the Omicron variant but symptoms for reinfected patients and those infected after vaccination appear to be mild, a scientist studying the outbreak of the new strain said.

And the same thing is happening in Europe.  Of the 44 cases that have been confirmed so far, every single one of them has been “mild”…

The European Union has recorded at least 44 confirmed cases of the omicron variant in 11 countries, but so far all of those are asymptomatic or people with mild symptoms, according to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.

So there is no need for all of the hysteria that we are witnessing.

Haven’t the last two years taught us anything?

Even before Omicron came along, needless restrictions were making it exceedingly difficult to transport goods around the planet in an efficient and timely manner.  As a result, we are now dealing with the worst supply chain crisis that any of us have ever experienced by a very wide margin.

If global leaders respond to Omicron by piling on even more needless restrictions, that is going to make the global supply chain crisis a whole lot worse.

Unfortunately, we are already starting to see politicians all over the world opt for the panic button.

For example, the U.S. has decided to completely ban travel from a number of African countries, and very strict new testing regulations for all inbound international air travelers will go into effect in just a few days…

All inbound international travelers will be required to test within one day of departure for the United States starting Monday.

All flights departing after 12:01 a.m. ET December 6 will abide by a new CDC testing order, per an administration official.

This new testing time frame will apply to everyone, “regardless of nationality or vaccination status,” the plan outlined on the White House website says.

Other nations are considering measures that are even more extreme.

Over in Israel, the “coronavirus czar” is saying that making vaccines mandatory for every single citizen should be an option…

Israel’s coronavirus czar Prof. Salman Zarka said Wednesday that Israel should consider making COVID vaccines compulsory, but stressed it was only his opinion and does not reflect any actual government policy.

“I think we need to examine all the options, including the option of mandating vaccination in the State of Israel,” Zarka told Radio 103FM in an interview.

The German government has gone even further.  According to Angela Merkel, a vaccine mandate for the entire country is likely to go into effect in February as long as it is approved by parliament…

“We have understood that the situation is very serious and that we want to take further measures in addition to those already taken,” Merkel told reporters at Thursday’s news conference. “The fourth wave must be broken and this has not yet been achieved,” she added.

A nationwide vaccination mandate could come into effect from February 2022 — after it is debated in parliament and following guidance from Germany’s Ethics Council, Merkel said.

Once Germany and a few other nations successfully implement mandates, it is only a matter of time before a lot of other countries start jumping on board.

On Thursday, the German government also announced a new strict lockdown for all unvaccinated individuals…

Germany on Thursday announced a nationwide lockdown for the unvaccinated, as its leaders backed plans for mandatory vaccinations in the coming months.

Unvaccinated people will be banned from accessing all but the most essential businesses, such as supermarkets and pharmacies, to curb the spread of coronavirus, outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel and her successor, Olaf Scholz, announced Thursday, following crisis talks with regional leaders.

So now Germany has taken a very hard turn toward authoritarianism.  I believe that we have seen this story before.

Ultimately, I believe that we will eventually see vaccine mandates throughout much of Europe, and if that happens it will be truly, truly horrifying for those of us that still love freedom.

COVID has provided the perfect opportunity for politicians to start acting like tyrants, and what we are witnessing right now is setting the stage for the exceedingly dark times that are coming.

As it becomes obvious that Omicron is not a serious threat, hopefully governments around the globe will ease up on everyone for a while.

Because the damage that has already been done over the past couple of years has been incalculable, and a new wave of needless restrictions could easily push us over the precipice and into an abyss of misery.

Why are CEOs and corporate insiders selling their stocks at a far faster rate than we have ever seen before?  Do they know something that the rest of us do not?  If stock prices are going to continue soaring into the stratosphere like many in the mainstream media are suggesting, these insiders that are dumping stocks like there is no tomorrow will miss out on some absolutely enormous profits.  On the other hand, if a colossal market crash is coming in 2022, then 2021 was absolutely the perfect time to get out.  As I have said countless times before, you only make money in the stock market if you get out in time.  Could it be possible that many of the richest people in the world have picked the absolutely perfect moment to pull the trigger?

According to CNBC, CEOs and corporate insiders have sold 69 billion dollars worth of stock so far this year.  That is a new all-time record, and it is a whopping 30 percent higher than last year…

CEOs and corporate insiders have sold a record $69 billion in stock in 2021, as looming tax hikes and lofty share prices encourage many to take profits.

From Satya Nadella at Microsoft to Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, CEOs, founders and insiders have been cashing in their stock at the highest pace on record. As of Monday, sales by insiders are up 30% from 2020 to $69 billion, and up 79% versus a 10-year average, according to InsiderScore/Verity, which excludes sales by large institutional holders.

Interestingly, this fire sale has come to a crescendo just as the U.S. economy has reached a critical turning point.  We are in the midst of the worst supply chain crisis in our history, inflation has reached levels that we haven’t seen since the 1970s, and the rising violence in our streets is depressing economic activity in many of our largest urban areas.

Over the past two years, the federal government has borrowed and spent trillions of dollars that we could not afford to spend.  During that same period, the Federal Reserve has pumped trillions upon trillions of fresh dollars into the financial system.  They took these measures in a desperate attempt to resuscitate the economy, and we certainly did experience a “sugar high” for a little while.

But now there are all sorts of signs that the economy is starting to slow down once again.  For example, sales on Black Friday were down 28.3 percent compared to 2019 levels…

Traffic at retail stores on Black Friday dropped 28.3% compared with 2019 levels, as Americans shifted more of their spending online and kicked off their shopping earlier in the year, according to preliminary data from Sensormatic Solutions.

The apologists in the mainstream media would have us believe that retail sales are down because online sales are booming.

But that is not true.

In fact, sales on Cyber Monday were down for the first time ever…

Consumers logged online Monday and spent $10.7 billion, marking a 1.4% decrease from year-ago levels, according to data released Tuesday by Adobe Analytics.

This year’s tally marks the first time that Adobe has tracked a slowdown in spending on major shopping days. The firm first began reporting on e-commerce in 2012, and it analyzes more than 1 trillion visits to retailers’ websites.

This amazes me.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday were both down despite the fact that our leaders have been pouring trillions and trillions of dollars on to the fire.

Meanwhile, the latest manufacturing numbers were a disappointment, and analysts are blaming that on our ongoing supply chain crisis…

Broad swathes of US manufacturing remain hamstrung by supply chain bottlenecks and difficulties filling staff vacancies. Although November brought some signs of supply chain problems easing slightly to the lowest recorded for six months, widespread shortages of inputs meant production growth was again severely constrained to the extent that the survey is so far consistent with manufacturing acting as a drag on the economy during the fourth quarter.

Of course the mainstream media continues to try to put a positive spin on our economic woes.

For example, CNN just published an article entitled “Why inflation can actually be good for everyday Americans and bad for rich people”.

If what they are saying is true, why don’t we push inflation to the max?

Let’s have every home cost at least a million dollars, let’s have a loaf of bread cost 20 bucks, and let’s make gasoline so expensive that it will make your eyes bleed when you see the prices at your local gas station.

Won’t that be just great for hard working Americans everywhere?

Needless to say, I am just being facetious.

Inflation is destroying our standard of living, and more Americans are falling out of the middle class with each passing day.

As if we didn’t already have enough on our plates, now Omicron has arrived in the United States…

The United States’ first confirmed case of the Omicron coronavirus variant has been identified in California.

In a White House news briefing, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said the case was in an individual who traveled from South Africa on November 22 and tested positive for Covid-19 on November 29.

As I discussed the other day, there is absolutely no reason for all of the hysteria that we are currently witnessing.  At this stage, it does not appear that Omicron is any more dangerous than the other variants that are currently floating around.

But that isn’t going to stop global leaders from doing even more damage to the world economy.

We are already seeing more travel restrictions and more mandates, but there is not even a single confirmed case of anyone dying from Omicron yet.

If politicians are going to get this irrational over Omicron, how are they going to respond when things start getting really crazy in the years ahead?

You might want to start thinking about that.

So much of the economic damage in the past couple of years has been self-inflicted, and a lot more self-inflicted pain is on the way.

Meanwhile, CEOs and corporate insiders are selling off their stocks at a pace that is raising a lot of eyebrows.

Just like you and I, can they feel what is coming?

There are so many clouds on the horizon, and personally I have such a bad feeling about 2022.

While most of the U.S. population is distracted by other matters, the Biden administration continues to march us even closer to war with both Russia and China.  It is understandable that so much attention is being given to the craziness surrounding the COVID pandemic, our very serious economic problems and the growing violence in our streets, but ultimately our deteriorating relationships with Russia and China will become even bigger news than any of those stories.  If we stay on the path that we are currently on, there will inevitably be war with Russia and there will inevitably be war with China.  I do not believe that either of those conflicts will erupt this week or this month, but thanks to the recklessness of the Biden administration we are relentlessly moving toward war.  So even though most of my articles address concerns that are of a more immediate nature, I am going to keep my readers periodically updated on these developments, because this is a story that isn’t going to go away.

On Tuesday, Vladimir Putin warned the United States and NATO not to deploy troops or missiles in Ukraine…

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned NATO and the US Tuesday that any deployment of troops or missiles in Ukraine would cross a “red line” and prompt a military response.

“The emergence of such threats represents a ‘red line’ for us,” the Russian leader said. “I hope that it will not get to that and common sense and responsibility for their own countries and the global community will eventually prevail.”

Of course this is not the first time Putin has issued such a warning.  For months, the Russians have been making it clear that they will not tolerate western forces in Ukraine.

The Russians are particularly concerned about missiles, because a missile launched from Ukraine could potentially hit Moscow in five minutes.

It is kind of like the Cuban missile crisis in reverse.  For good reason, the U.S. didn’t want Russian missiles in Cuba because of the close proximity.  Similarly, the Russians don’t want western missiles right on their doorstep.

Unfortunately, instead of defusing the situation we continue to see NATO sending more “military hardware” into Ukraine in order to stop a potential “Russian invasion”…

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused NATO on Tuesday of deploying a significant amount of military hardware near Russia’s borders and said Moscow could respond to security threats from Western countries and Ukraine if necessary.

U.S., NATO and Ukrainian officials have raised the alarm in recent weeks over what they say are unusual Russian troop movements near the border with Ukraine, and have suggested that Moscow might be preparing to launch an attack. Moscow has denied any plans to do so.

Most Americans don’t realize this, but this is a tinderbox that could literally explode at any time.

Meanwhile, the Russians continue to prepare for a future global conflict.  A few weeks ago, Putin announced that testing of Russia’s new hypersonic missiles was almost done…

Earlier in November, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that tests of the Zircon hypersonic missiles are almost completed.

Vladimir Putin said that the hypersonic weapon with maximum speed of Mach 9 will appear in Russia in the near future.

These missiles can move at unimaginable speeds, and the U.S. has absolutely no way to defend against them.

Even more alarming, Putin is saying that Russia will be deploying “sea-based” hypersonic missiles early next year…

Speaking to gathered experts, Putin called the development of high-speed missiles as a “necessary” response to “Western actions.”

“We have already successfully conducted tests, and from the beginning of the year we will have in service a sea-based hypersonic missile of Mach 9,” Putin said.

Russia’s “black hole submarines” are so quiet that they can literally sneak up to our coastlines without anyone ever detecting them.

So imagine a scenario where a whole bunch of them suddenly surface just off our coastlines and launch hypersonic missiles which start hitting our coastal cities within just moments.

By the way, China has also developed a very alarming new hypersonic weapon system…

A senior U.S. Space Force officer has stressed that China’s new hypersonic weapon system is indeed orbital in nature and could be able to stay in space for an extended period of time. This is the latest piece of official information about this novel system that reportedly uses some kind of hypersonic glider, which may be capable of launching its own projectiles to actually execute a strike.

At this point, both Russia and China are miles ahead of us when it comes to developing hypersonic weapons.

But at least the U.S. military has them both beat when it comes to conducting diversity seminars.

As bad as things are with Russia, I actually believe that war with China is even closer.

Taiwan is the primary source of contention between the Chinese and the Biden administration, and things just continue to get even more tense.

In fact, China just sent “about 150 aircraft” into Taiwanese airspace over a recent four day period…

The past few days have been busy in airspace off Taiwan’s southern coast, in what’s been a steady uptick of such threatening flights. “Over the past year, the frequency of Chinese incursions has increased, with about 150 aircraft over a period of four days,” The Associated Press tallied by the close of Sunday.

This could mark a new record set over a four-day time period, given the first week of October say 145 PLA aircraft within the same window, a prior record. The actions had corresponded with China’s 72nd annual National Day.

I am entirely convinced that the Chinese will pull the trigger on an invasion of Taiwan at some point.

When that occurs, the U.S. and China will instantly be in a state of war.

But most Americans don’t really care about any of this.

Most Americans will just keep their heads stuck in the sand as the world continues to go mad all around them.

Unfortunately, when they do finally wake up it will be way too late to reverse course.

Once upon a time, all of the major institutions in our society were running super smoothly, and most people could rely on the fact that they would always be there when they were needed.  But now things are going haywire everywhere that you turn.  We are in the midst of the worst supply chain crisis in our entire history, the crime and violence in our largest urban areas is starting to spiral out of control, millions upon millions of our fellow citizens are absolutely seething with hate, and this pandemic is causing officials to make extremely irrational decisions that would have been unthinkable during “normal times”.  Earlier today, I was horrified to hear that one of my readers had just been denied access to a local hospital.  He was taking his wife in for a very important reason, but there were people at the entrance that were checking the vaccination status of everyone that attempted to enter.  He and his wife had not been vaccinated, and so they were turned away.

That means that they will not be able to have access to any services at that hospital for the foreseeable future.

Did you ever imagine that a day would come when you might not even be allowed to go inside your local hospital?

In other cases, hospitals are not providing certain services any longer due to severe staffing shortages.  In fact, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that some institutions may lose up to a third of their employees due to Biden’s mandate for health care workers.

That is madness, and I never imagined that we would see such a thing happen in America.

But here we are.

Moving forward, many Americans are going to have to start figuring out how to provide their own health care, because our health care system is being shaken like never before.

Meanwhile, we are seeing a “historic burst in entrepreneurship and self-employment” as millions upon millions of Americans seek to create jobs for themselves.

Thanks to Biden’s mandates, there are millions upon millions of Americans that may soon be ineligible to work for any company that employs 100 or more workers.  For now, that particular mandate has been put on hold, but it could be reinstated at any time by the courts.

In any event, many Americans have decided that now is the time to leave the system and start working for themselves.

So far this year, a whopping 4.54 million new small businesses have applied for a federal tax identification number.  That is up 56 percent from 2019…

Entrepreneurs applied for federal tax-identification numbers to register 4.54 million new businesses from January through October this year, up 56% from the same period of 2019, Census Bureau data show. That was the largest number on records that date back to 2004. Two-thirds were for businesses that aren’t expected to hire employees.

I have always encouraged entrepreneurship as a way for people to become more independent from the system.

The good news is that there are literally millions of different ways to work for yourself in this country today.

If you are considering taking such a leap, focus on what you are good at.

Personally, I would be an absolutely horrible auto mechanic, and if I tried to be a hair stylist it would be a complete and utter disaster.

But I can write, and so that is what I do.

Others can’t write, but they are incredibly talented in other areas.

The key is to find something that will add value to the lives of others.

The global energy crisis is another factor that is pushing people to become more independent of the system.

This year, Pennsylvania residents are being warned that their energy bills could increase by approximately 50 percent…

Energy costs in Pennsylvania are set to rise as much as 50% in some parts of the state beginning Dec. 1, according to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC).

“Most Pennsylvania regulated electric utilities are adjusting the price they charge for the generation portion of customers’ bills on December 1 for non-shopping customers, also known as the ‘Price to Compare’ (PTC),” the PUC explained in a press release. “The PTC averages 40% to 60% of the customer’s total utility bill. However, this percent varies by the utility and by the level of individual customer usage.

And as the global energy crisis escalates, we could see more painful energy shortages like we recently witnessed in China, India and Lebanon.

This has motivated a lot of Americans to take matters into their own hands, and at this point demand for wood burning stoves is off the charts…

At Central Arkansas Fireplaces in Conway, a suburb of Little Rock, the flood of orders for woodstoves has been so overwhelming that units purchased today won’t be delivered in time for this heating season. “You can’t get a stove until at least April,” says Lakin Frederick, an employee at the store.

Needless to say, demand for firewood has also soared, and this is pushing prices into unprecedented territory…

At Firewood by Jerry in New River, Arizona, a cord of seasoned firewood — roughly 700 pieces or so — goes for $200 today. That’s up 33% from a year ago. At Zia Firewood in Albuquerque, the price is up 11% since the summer to $250. And at Standing Rock Farms in Stone Ridge, a bucolic, little town in the Hudson Valley that’s become popular with the Manhattan set, the best hardwoods now fetch $475 a cord, up 19% from last year.

But those that prepared ahead of time don’t need to pay through the nose, because they already have all the firewood that they need.

For years, I have been pleading with people to make preparations in advance for the difficult times that were coming.

Now those difficult times have started to arrive, and things are beginning to get really crazy out there.

Even entire communities are trying to become more independent of the system.  In California, the insanity coming from Sacramento just became too overwhelming, and so the entire city of Oroville decided to declare itself a constitutional republic…

Oroville declared itself a constitutional republic. A place where the local leaders pledge to fight mandates they say go too far.

“Any executive orders issued by the State of California or by the United States federal government that are overreaching or clearly violate our constitutionally protected rights will not be enforced by the City of Oroville against its citizens,” read the declaration passed this month by the City Council.

That is a pretty dramatic move, but the truth is that communities all over the nation are going to have to try to do what they can to insulate themselves from the authoritarian measures that are being instituted on the state and federal levels.

If you live in a city or a state where things are particularly bad, you may need to pick up and move to an entirely different part of the country.

I know that sounds extreme, but we live in extreme times.

If you want a normal life, you will want to find a place where people are still determined to live relatively normal lives.

Because as the system continues to collapse all around us, things are only going to get even crazier.

Our country is literally starting to come apart at the seams, and a lot more “change” is on the way.

The entire narrative around “Black Friday” has completely changed.  In the old days, I would write a column every year about the chaos that we would see at major retailers all over America as crazed consumers fought over deeply discounted merchandise.  The fact that Americans would get so crazed over cheap trinkets made in China said a lot about where we were as a society, but there was also a side to Black Friday that was fun and exciting.  It was a yearly ritual that millions of Americans looked forward to, and major retailers always made a lot of money.  Unfortunately, those days are now gone.  This Black Friday, store traffic was 28 percent lower than it was in 2019…

Traffic at retail stores on Black Friday dropped 28.3% compared with 2019 levels, as Americans shifted more of their spending online and kicked off their shopping earlier in the year, according to preliminary data from Sensormatic Solutions.

In 2021, Black Friday made headlines all over the nation for a much more alarming reason.

Highly organized gangs of thieves looted stores from coast to coast, and this continued a trend that we have seen rapidly growing in recent months.

For example, in Los Angeles a mob of wild teens “cleared out” all of the hammers and crowbars at a Home Depot in the Los Angeles area…

According to LASD, eight people – between the ages of 15 and 20 – stole hammers, crowbars and other tools from the store. They say the entire hammer section was cleared out… enough items were taken to be considered grand theft. The suspects took off with an approximate value of $400 worth of tools.

“We tried to stop them,” store employee Luis Romo told FOX 11. “We closed the front entrance and they put their sledgehammers up and whoever got in the way, they were going to hurt them.”

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why they took hammers and crowbars.

Those are the tools that are favored by “smash and grab” looters all over the country, and the next night there were so many such robberies that the Los Angeles Police Department actually declared a tactical alert for several hours…

The Los Angeles Police Department declared the alert around 8:30 p.m. Friday and lifted it at 2 a.m. Saturday. The alert followed a string of robberies in the area early in the evening, including an incident at 5:30 p.m. in which at least 10 men robbed a store at 130 S. La Brea Ave., pushed employees onto the ground and fled, according to LAPD Officer Mike Lopez.

Stores were looted all over the city throughout the night, but of course the same thing is happening just about every night these days.

Sadly, things aren’t any better in northern California.

The Bay Area was also hit hard throughout the long weekend, but of course organized looting has pretty much become a regular thing in the Bay Area at this point…

The mayhem of Thanksgiving week follows a three-night-long free-for-all in California’s Bay Area last weekend, previously reported by Breitbart News.

Looters hit high-end stores like Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent in San Francisco’s Union Square on November 19. The next night a group of 50-80 rushed a Walnut Creek Nordstrom near San Francisco.

Top politicians in California are now promising to crack down on these thieves, and I am sure that must have them quaking in their recently looted boots.

Over in the middle of the country, we are also seeing organized looters go absolutely wild.

In the Minneapolis area, two Best Buy stores were targeted by “flash mobs” on Black Friday…

Dozens of looters descended on a mall in Minnesota and brazenly marched through two Best Buy locations, taking whatever they liked with them off the shelves.

One incident occurred near the Burnsville mall in suburban Minneapolis with about 12 people rushing in to steal items, while a second incident occurred in Maplewood – about 25 miles northeast – on Friday night with a larger group of 30 people looting electronics.

Last year, we witnessed this sort of behavior during the George Floyd riots, but now looting has become a way of life in some of our largest urban communities.

In Chicago, the looting never seems to stop.  In fact, looters hit three major stores in less than an hour on Black Friday…

About 1:40 a.m., police responded to a burglar alarm at the shoe store in the 1200 block of North Milwaukee Avenue and found a shattered window and missing clothes, Chicago police said.

About 20 minutes later, police responded to another alarm at the North Face store in the 1600 block of North Damen Avenue and found the front doors pried open, police said. Numerous coats were taken, authorities said.

About 2:40 a.m., police responded to a third alarm in the 2600 block of West Division Street and determined electronic devices were taken after the front door was forced open, police said.

I could go on and on, but I think that you get the point.

We are now witnessing the sort of rampant lawlessness that I have been warning about for years.

If these mobs of young thieves will go to such extremes now, what will they be willing to do once things get really bad in this country?

Right now, every single one of those young thieves could go out and get a job somewhere.  We are in the midst of the most epic worker shortage in U.S. history, and there are literally “help wanted” signs just about everywhere you look.

So these looters are not taking things because they are desperately poor and can’t find employment.

Rather, these organized gangs are looting because they have made a conscious decision to do so.

Of course it doesn’t help that politicians in many major cities have passed laws that make shoplifting much easier than it once was.

Even if they are caught, the thieves know that they will be dumped back on the streets very quickly.

I am so concerned about the direction that things are headed.

Lawlessness appears to be increasing at an exponential rate in America, and that has very serious implications for 2022 and the years beyond.

Normally, inflation is not a major theme on Thanksgiving.  Unfortunately, these are not normal times.  Thanks to Joe Biden and our other crooked politicians in Washington, we are facing an inflation crisis that is unlike anything that we have experienced since the 1970s.  Earlier this week, I discussed a new poll which showed that 88 percent of Americans are deeply concerned about inflation, and a different poll found that 67 percent of Americans disapprove of the way that Biden is handling rising prices.  Now Thanksgiving is nearly upon us, and most Americans are finding that their grocery dollars are not stretching as far as they once did.

This is being hailed as “the most expensive Thanksgiving ever”, but don’t worry, because the elite are offering some suggestions for how you can save some money.

For example, NBC News is telling us to “consider not buying a turkey” in order to save some cash.

If that wasn’t offensive enough, they are also saying that “some people think turkey is overrated” and that an “Italian feast” might be a better alternative…

“I know that is the staple of the Thanksgiving meal. However, some people think turkey is overrated, and so it tends to be the most expensive thing on the table. Maybe you do an Italian feast instead.”

I love Italian food, but Americans have eaten turkey on Thanksgiving for generations.

Sadly, many Americans won’t be having turkey this year because it has just gotten too expensive.

Of course NBC has an answer for that too.  They are suggesting that if you tell those you have invited that there won’t be any turkey on the table “some guests may drop off the list, and that’s a way to cut costs too.”

Seriously?

That is what they actually think ordinary Americans should do?

It just makes me sick how the elite talk down to us like this.

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is being even more offensive.  A few days ago, they encouraged Americans to consider a “soybean-based dinner” because turkey is so much more expensive…

“A Thanksgiving dinner serving of poultry costs $1.42. A soybean-based dinner serving with the same amount of calories costs 66 cents and provides almost twice as much protein”

Yuck.

Just yuck.

Over the years, I have tried “alternative” soybean-based products from time to time, and to be frank all of them were disgusting.

And I find it to be highly offensive for the people that actually created this inflation crisis to be pushing Americans toward less expensive and more “eco-friendly” alternatives.

We wouldn’t be in this mess if the Federal Reserve had not created trillions upon trillions of dollars out of thin air over the past couple of years.

And we wouldn’t be in this mess if NBC News and other media outlets had not endlessly promoted the corrupt politicians in Washington that just keep borrowing and spending money as if the future will never come.

We didn’t get here by accident.

What we are now experiencing is a perfect example of cause and effect.  Our insane leaders flooded the system with new money, and now a typical Thanksgiving dinner is 14 percent more expensive than it was last year…

The cost of providing a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner to 10 people in 2021 is 14% higher than a year ago, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual survey.

Thankfully, your income has gone up 14 percent over the past year as well, right?

Sadly, most of you will not be able to answer that question affirmatively.

The cost of turkey is rising at a particularly blazing pace.  At this point, the average price of a 16 pound turkey is $4.60 higher than it was at this time in 2020…

Ranking the data this way lets us see that the increase in the cost of turkey is responsible for most of the year-over-year increase. Rising by $4.60 from 2020’s $19.39 to 2021’s $23.99 for a 16-pound bird, turkey alone accounts for nearly 72% of the year-over-year increase in the total cost for the meal.

But at least soybean-based dinners are still affordable.

Of maybe you could even eat bugs this year.

The global elite would really love that.

In addition to changing the menu, the elite are also giving us pointers for how to minimize the spread of COVID during our Thanksgiving celebrations.

According to the New York Times, children should wear masks, eat as quickly as they can, and stay as far away from the adults as possible…

I’m glad to hear that the children and all guests are vaccinated. As the kids will not be fully vaccinated until two weeks after their second shot, I think some care is warranted, especially because some attendees are 65 and older and thus at greater risk of more serious breakthrough infections. You could have the kids wear masks, eat quickly and stay away from the older adults when eating.

So I guess that hugging grandma and grandpa is out of the question.

These control freaks really do want to micromanage all of our lives, and those that obediently do whatever they say without thinking are part of the problem.

The truth is that the vast majority of the “experts” that they put on television to tell us how to live our lives really aren’t “experts” at all.

It is all a big con game, and it amazes me that there are still so many people out there that fall for it.

Once you get a look behind the curtain and you realize what a giant fraud their entire system is, there is no going back.

Unfortunately, much of the population is still under their spell, and so we need to work really hard to wake people up while there is still time to do so.

Look, I really do hope that all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Eat lots of turkey, enjoy your family and friends, and try to smile.

We should find joy in these moments while we still can, because soon everything will change.

Our civilization is crumbling right in front of our eyes.  We have become accustomed to soaring murder rates, mass shootings, extreme degeneracy throughout the entire entertainment industry, violent rioting in our streets and severe corruption on all levels of government.  To a certain extent, a lot of these things seem “normal” to many of us at this point.  But the truth is that what we are experiencing is not even close to “normal”.  We are literally watching our entire society slowly but surely go down the tubes, and it is heartbreaking to watch.

If you think that I am being overly dramatic, just consider what happened in northern California on Saturday night.  A mob of more than 80 thieves wearing ski masks and armed with crowbars suddenly descended upon a Nordstrom store, and they ransacked the entire place in just minutes…

More than 80 people stormed and robbed a Nordstrom in California on Saturday night, according to a police report from the Walnut Creek Police Department.

The robbery was over within minutes as thieves armed with crowbars and wearing ski masks streamed out of the Nordstrom into the dozens of cars lining the block.

Needless to say, Nordstrom workers were caught entirely off guard, and several individuals received injuries during the melee…

During the theft, two Nordstrom workers were punched and kicked, while another was sprayed with pepper spray. All three individuals were treated for their injuries on scene.

This sort of “organized crime” is becoming increasingly common, but the size and scale of this particular attack was particularly alarming.

This happened in one of the most prosperous areas of northern California, and one eyewitness described it as “like a scene out of a movie”…

Brett Barrette is one of the managers of P.F. Chang’s restaurant across from the Nordstrom store. He watched as the bedlam unfolded.

“I probably saw 50-80 people in like ski masks with crowbars, a bunch of weapons,” he said. “They were looting the Nordstrom.”

“There was a mob of people,” he continued. “The police were flying in. It was like a scene out of a movie. It was insane.”

Meanwhile, the Louis Vuitton store in San Francisco was also hit by organized looters this weekend.

Even though this sort of thing is taking place so frequently now, I am still shocked whenever I see these sorts of videos.  For even more examples, please see my recent article entitled “In Some Parts Of America, Looting Has Become A Way Of Life”.

Over in Portland, approximately 150 rioters started fires and smashed things up following the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict.  At one point, about a dozen police officers were forced back into a garage by an extremely unruly mob…

The footage shows a crowd of angry protesters aggressively yelling at the police dressed in full riot gear. The group of nearly a dozen officers are seen backing up into a garage.

The door of the garage slowly closes as the protesters continue to confront the police, with one demonstrator even trying to push open the garage door.

Way too often, the bad guys are starting to get the upper hand in situations like this.

And I think that does not bode well for the troubled times ahead.

For years, I have been warning that this sort of civil unrest would be coming in the future.

Now the future is here, and the chaos in our streets is only going to be getting even more intense.

On the other side of the globe, rioting of a completely different nature is happening.  As authoritarian measures become increasingly extreme, vast numbers of people are standing up and saying that enough is enough…

Violent protests have broken out against COVID-19 vaccine mandates and lockdowns across Europe amid new tough rules to curb winter waves of the virus.

Demonstrators angry about the new measures gathered in Austria, Croatia, Italy, Northern Ireland, the French territory of Guadeloupe and the Netherlands to protest the moves.

In Belgium, approximately 40,000 protesters descended upon the capital, and police fired water cannons and tear gas to try to control the crowds…

Nearly 40,000 people descended on the capital Brussels to protest against new anti-Covid measures banning the unvaccinated from entering restaurants and bars.

Some protesters were seen throwing projectiles at riot police and in response, officers fired water cannon and tear gas at the group. Police have made some arrests, but it is not immediately clear how many.

Next door in the Netherlands, the violence was even worse.  At one point, police officers actually opened fire on one group of “rampaging rioters”…

Dutch police have arrested more than 30 people during unrest in The Hague and other towns in the Netherlands that followed an “ orgy of violence ” the previous night at a protest against coronavirus restrictions.

The violence by groups of youths in The Hague and elsewhere Saturday night wasn’t as serious as Friday night in Rotterdam, where police opened fire on rampaging rioters and arrested 51 people.

By imposing such harsh authoritarian measures during this pandemic, governments in Europe and elsewhere are losing their legitimacy.

And responding to protests with such violence will also result in a loss of legitimacy.

Part of living in a civilized society is being able to trust the government to do the right thing most of the time.

But now we have gotten to a point where large numbers of people in industrialized nations all over the globe do not trust their own governments.

And once that trust erodes far enough, it may get to a point where entire nations become virtually ungovernable by anyone.

Like I said at this beginning of this article, we are watching civilization crumble all around us, and that should make all of us very sad.

We are rapidly plummeting into an abyss of anarchy, madness and chaos, and the days ahead are not going to be pleasant.
