It is often said that life imitates art, and these days that is particularly true on the mean streets of our major cities.  Violent criminals just keep getting more brazen, and murder rates are soaring all over the nation.  As you will see below, one official in Los Angeles is actually comparing what is now happening to a horror movie that came out a number of years ago called “The Purge”.  But in that movie, violent criminals only had one night each year to run wild.  Unfortunately, in America today they are running wild every single night.

Perhaps some of you think that I am exaggerating, and so let’s look at some hard numbers.

At this point, there are 12 large U.S. cities that have already broken their all-time murder records for an entire year…

At least 12 major U.S. cities have broken annual homicide records in 2021 — and there’s still three weeks to go in the year.

Of the dozen cities that have already surpassed the grim milestones for killings, five topped records that were set or tied just last year.

“It’s terrible to every morning get up and have to go look at the numbers and then look at the news and see the stories. It’s just crazy. It’s just crazy and this needs to stop,” Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said after his city surpassed its annual homicide record of 500, which stood since 1990.

The 12 cities that have already established brand new records in 2021 are Philadelphia, St. Paul, Portland, Indianapolis, Tucson, Louisville, Toledo, Baton Rouge, Austin, Columbus, Rochester and Albuquerque.

And with more than half of December still remaining, more cities will be joining that list by the time the year is finally over.

In Los Angeles, violent crime numbers are going up so fast that it is difficult to believe that the figures are actually real…

The LAPD reports that in the first 24 weeks of 2021, reports of shots fired were up 48 percent. The number of people wounded by gun violence was up 50 percent and homicides were up 26 percent.

The environment in the city has completely changed.  During a recent television interview, the head of the LA Police Protective League warned tourists not to come to his city this holiday season…

“My message to anyone thinking about coming to Los Angeles, especially during the holiday season, is don’t,” Jamie McBride, the head of the LA Police Protective League, the union representing LAPD officers, said in a television interview.

What a thing to say.

McBride went on to compare current conditions in Los Angeles to “The Purge”…

“We can’t guarantee your safety. It is really, really out of control. I said it to people before, it’s like that movie ‘Purge,’ you know, instead of 24 hours to commit your crime, these people have 365 days days to commit whatever they want,” McBride said.

Wow.

This isn’t some random guy on the Internet saying this.

This is the head of the union that represents police officers in Los Angeles.

Crime is so out of control in L.A. that even people that don’t like guns are arming themselves.  The following comes from a New York Post article entitled “Beverly Hills residents arming themselves with guns in wake of violence”…

“I’ve always been anti-gun,” said Debbie Mizrahie of Beverly Hills. “But I am right now in the process of getting myself shooting lessons because I now understand that there may be a need for me to know how to defend myself and my family. We’re living in fear.”

Of course things aren’t much different in northern California.

In fact, an atmosphere of “lawlessness” is seemingly everywhere in San Francisco at this point…

The pandemic emptied parts of San Francisco and highlighted some of its drawbacks: human and dog feces smeared across sidewalks, home and vehicle break-ins, overflowing trash cans, and a laissez-faire approach by officials to brazen drug dealing. Parents despaired as public schools stayed closed for most of last year as nearby districts welcomed children back to the classroom.

Meanwhile, residents and visitors scurry past scenes of lawlessness and squalor. Just steps from the Opera House and Symphony Hall, drug dealers carry translucent bags filled with crystal-like rocks or stand outside the public library’s main branch, flashing wads of cash while peddling heroin and methamphetamine.

It should come as no surprise to learn that the number of people that died from drug overdoses in San Francisco last year was nearly three times as high as the number that died from COVID.

During normal times, we rely on the police to protect us from lawless criminals, but in America today the police are under siege.

I really like how Heather Mac Donald recently made this point…

“I can tell you across the country in the United States today, when cops get out of their car to make an inquiry, to question somebody who’s acting like he’s pulling up his gun out of his waistband, to go into a drug set, they find themselves routinely surrounded by hostile jeering crowds throwing things at them,” she said. “They’re assaulted.”

“This is what it’s like to be a cop in America today,” she added.

Every single day, police officers put their lives on the line when they go to work.

314 police officers have been shot so far in 2021, and the final number for this year will inevitably be even higher.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media and many groups on the left continue to relentlessly demonize the police, and this is driving good people out of the profession in record numbers…

A workforce survey released in June by the Police Executive Research Forum found the retirement rate in police departments nationwide jumped 45% over 2020 and 2021. And another 18% of officers resigned, the survey found, a development which coincided with nationwide social justice protests and calls to defund law enforcement agencies following the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers.

As the trends that I have discussed in this article continue to escalate, it is likely that 2022 will be even worse.

But before I end this article, I want to make a very important point.

The worst criminals in America are not the violent thugs in our streets.

Often, the worst criminals dress in suits and walk the halls of power.  For example, just check out what a CNN producer was just charged with doing…

The CNN producer charged with luring a mother and her nine-year-old daughter to a rental home in Vermont for ‘sexual subservience’ training also told someone else he’d ‘trained’ girls as young as seven.

John Griffin, a producer on CNN’s New Day and worked for Chris Cuomo, was charged last week by federal prosecutors in Vermont who say he paid for sex with underage girls, including one whose mother he convinced into letting her visit him.

Needless to say, his case in not an isolated incident.

In all my years, I have never seen such utter lawlessness in America.

And if you have read my most recent book, then you know that I believe that things are going to be getting a lot worse.

Just about every form of evil that you can possibly imagine is exploding in our society, and our country has now become unrecognizable.

Decades of incredibly bad decisions have brought us to this point, and the years ahead are going to be more chaotic than most people would dare to imagine.

All of a sudden, inflation is one of the hottest political issues in America.  Most people seem surprised that inflation has gotten so wildly out of control, but the truth is that this should not be a surprise to any of us.  We have been warned for years that this was coming.  Whenever our corrupt politicians in Washington authorized trillions more in spending that we couldn’t afford, we were warned that this would eventually cause extremely painful inflation.  But it didn’t happen immediately, and so most Americans didn’t take the warnings seriously.  And as the “experts” at the Federal Reserve kept pumping trillions of fresh dollars into our financial system, we were warned that there would eventually be severe consequences.  But those consequences did not arrive immediately, and so most Americans didn’t take the warnings seriously.  But now a day of reckoning has arrived, and conditions are only going to get worse from this point forward.

On Friday, the Labor Department informed us that the inflation rate is rising at the fastest pace that we have seen since 1982…

Inflation accelerated at its fastest pace since 1982 in November, the Labor Department said Friday, putting pressure on the economic recovery and raising the stakes for the Federal Reserve.

The consumer price index, which measures the cost of a wide-ranging basket of goods and services, rose 0.8% for the month, good for a 6.8% pace on a year over year basis and the fastest rate since June 1982.

Things sure have changed since 1982.

Back then, the average price of a new vehicle was $7,983 and the average price of a new house was just $82,200.

And the way that the inflation rate has been calculated has changed dramatically since then as well.  In fact, the way it is calculated has literally been changed more than two dozen times since 1980, and every time the goal was to make it look even lower.

As John Williams of shadowstats.com has pointed out, if the annual rate of inflation was still calculated the way it was back in 1980, it would be about 15 percent right now.

But the formula was certainly not perfect back then either.

During one of his recent shows, Tucker Carlson explained that the official rate of inflation has become completely divorced from the extremely aggressive price increases that U.S. consumers are wrestling with on a daily basis…

In fact, there’s only one accurate way to measure inflation, and somehow the Fed has not yet figured this out. Here it is: You ask yourself, what does it cost you to live in this country compared to what it cost you a year ago? It’s not complicated. Do the math, and you will see that the actual number, the rise in inflation is not even close to the seven percent that Washington is claiming.

In the last year, the price of a used car, for example, is going up by more than 30%. Beef prices have risen by 21%. Crude oil up 55%. Dimensional lumber, 35%. Wheat, 37%. Sugar, 33%. Corn, 39%. Palm Oil, 43%. Do you drink coffee in the morning, ever? Oh, too bad. The price of coffee has risen 108% in the last year. Do you like breakfast cereal? Oh, sorry. Oats are up 114%.

You know what?

He’s right.

Tucker Carlson is such a gifted communicator, and he hit this one out of the ballpark.

Later on in that same segment, he played clips from various reporters talking about painful price increases that we are seeing all around the nation…

REPORTER: Americans are seeing the effects of inflation in their budgets. General Mills even announced they’re raising the prices of their cereals by up to 20%. 

REPORTER: The grand total for our Thanksgiving dinner was $51.25. More than 20% over last year’s list 

REPORTER: The Dollar Tree is hiking prices from $1 to $1.25 for most items. 

REPORTER: If you’re lucky enough to find ammo, you’ll pay more for it 

MAN AT THE GUN RANGE: You’ll see this on the store shelf for $0.65 a round. It would normally be around low $0.20 a round. 

If you have been waiting for “the coming inflation crisis”, you can stop waiting because it is already here.

Yes, wages have been going up too, but not nearly as fast as the cost of living.

Needless to say, this is putting a tremendous amount of stress on average Americans…

Over the past 12 months, the costs paid by a typical American family have surged by roughly $4,000, according to calculations by Jason Furman, a Harvard economist and former Obama White House aide.

Though Americans’ overall income has also increased since the pandemic, a new poll found that far more people are noticing higher inflation than higher wages. Two-thirds say their household costs have risen since the pandemic, compared with only about a quarter who say their incomes have increased, according to the poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

If you are angry about inflation, you are definitely not alone.

All over America, people are deeply frustrated with our leaders for creating so much inflation, and Americans now have a new “number one concern” for the very first time since the pandemic started…

A CNBC All-America Economic survey released on Friday found that inflation has “firmly eclipsed” coronavirus as the No. 1 concern.

Nearly half of Americans say that inflation has caused them “financial hardship,” according to a Gallup poll released earlier this month.

A Yahoo News/YouGov survey released last month said that 77% of Americans say inflation has personally affected them. A clear majority — 57% — blame President Joe Biden for the high prices caused by inflation.

So what are our politicians in Washington planning to do to get us out of this mess?

Well, the Biden administration wants to spend trillions more.

They just can’t stop.

And every time a new crisis suddenly erupts, their “solution” is going to be to spend even more money.

So this is it.

The endgame has arrived, and a whole lot more inflation is on the horizon.

If the American people wanted to avoid this mess, they should have listened to the warnings a long time ago when we still had an opportunity to turn the ship in another direction.

Even billionaires like Elon Musk can see that the current state of affairs is completely and utterly unsustainable.  If we stay on the path that we are on, and there are absolutely no indications that we plan to reverse course, societal collapse is inevitable.  In fact, as I detail on a regular basis, societal collapse has already begun all around us.  Unfortunately, most people still can’t bring themselves to admit that it is actually happening.

I don’t always agree with everything that Elon Musk does or says, but he is certainly a very interesting guy.

He is not afraid to anger the establishment, and he often expresses opinions which run counter to the dominant narratives of our day.

For example, he just told the Wall Street Journal that our declining birth rates are “one of the biggest risks to civilization”…

“There are not enough people,” Musk told a Wall Street Journal event Monday. “I can’t emphasize this enough, there are not enough people,” he said.

The tech billionaire said low and rapidly declining birth rates are “one of the biggest risks to civilization.”

Without a doubt, birth rates are certainly dropping quite precipitously.

In fact, here in the United States the birth rate is at an all-time record low, and every single U.S. state has now dropped below replacement level.

In other words, if birth rates do not start rising we will soon see our population steadily shrink.

We are witnessing similar trends all over the globe right now, and this deeply alarms Musk.  He believes that if birth rates do not start going back up, “civilization is going to crumble”…

Musk added that too many “good, smart people” think there are too many people in the world and that the population is growing out of control.

“It’s completely the opposite,” Musk said, urging people to look at the data. “If people don’t have more children, civilization is going to crumble. Mark my words.”

Musk makes a very valid point.

Here in the United States, we desperately need younger workers to do the jobs that older workers are unable or unwilling to do now that they have reached their retirement years.

Unfortunately, to a large degree that isn’t happening, and this has been one of the factors that has contributed to the greatest supply chain crisis that any of us have ever experienced.

As of Monday, there were 123 cargo ships that were just sitting off the southern California coast waiting to be unloaded…

According to Marine Exchange, 123 cargo ships were waiting to unload goods onto the southern California docks, which are responsible for 40 percent of all shipped containers to the United States. Of the 123 ships, 62 were container ships, which includes 35 anchored or loitering and 27 at berth.

Even before the pandemic came along, the U.S. was starting to suffer from a lack of young workers throughout our various supply chains.

Now that countless people have died or have become incapacitated over the past couple of years, this problem has erupted into a full-blown crisis.

So what can we do?

Well, for one thing most supply chain workers should be paid a whole lot more than they are right now.

Rampant inflation has changed everything.  In the old days, 15 or 20 dollars an hour was a livable wage on the west coast, but that is no longer true.

In fact, one expert has determined that it now takes an income of approximately $300,000 a year just to live a middle class lifestyle in major cities such as San Francisco, Seattle or New York…

S.F.-based finance expert Sam Dogen pinned that number at $300,000, after surveying dozens of readers on his Financial Samurai blog and asking about their incomes and expenses living in the notoriously high-priced coastal cities.

With their feedback, Dogen broke down the budget of a couple with one to two children in San Francisco, Seattle or New York. He found $300,000 is the income necessary to put something away for retirement, save for your child’s education, own a three-bedroom home, take three weeks of vacation a year and retire by a reasonable age.

For years I have been railing against inflation, and for a long time a lot of people out there simply did not understand why I was so passionate about it.

Inflation is a hidden tax that systematically destroys our standard of living.  Over time, wages have been slowly going up for workers all over the nation, but wages have not been rising as fast as the cost of living has.

As a result, the middle class has been absolutely eviscerated.

Today, many of you are “making more money” than ever before.

But because inflation is totally out of control, many of you are not living as well as you once did.

When the federal government borrows and spends trillions upon trillions of dollars it does not help you.

And when the Federal Reserve pumps trillions upon trillions of dollars into the financial system it does not help you.

In both instances, the people at the very top of the economic food chain are the ones that are helped.

According to the latest World Inequality Report, the share of global wealth held by billionaires has tripled since 1995, and last year represented “the steepest increase in global billionaires’ share of wealth on record”…

Since 1995, the slice held by billionaires has risen from one percent to three percent, according to the World Inequality Report.

“This increase was exacerbated during the Covid pandemic. In fact, 2020 marked the steepest increase in global billionaires’ share of wealth on record,” the document said.

In other words, the process is accelerating, and you are on the losing end.

We are living in the terminal phase of the greatest debt bubble in all of human history, and the wealthy are getting even wealthier with each passing day.

The game has been rigged in their favor, and they are having a wonderful time even as our society begins to collapse all around them in thousands of different ways.

But the clock is ticking, and eventually time will run out.

On some level, Elon Musk understands this, but at this point society as a whole is not going to heed warnings from anyone.

We are just going to keep doing what we are doing until disaster finally strikes and we can’t do it anymore.

We are rapidly becoming two very different nations with two very different cultures.  At one time we truly were the “United” States of America, but now we have been split into two opposing camps that deeply hate one another.  As a result, in recent years we have watched millions of Americans relocate for ideological reasons.  This has caused “red states” to become even redder and “blue states” to become even bluer.  At this point, there are just a handful of “purple states”, and it is in those states where our presidential elections are determined.  It is really not healthy for just a few states like Pennsylvania and Michigan to have such power, but that is a topic for another article.  In this article, I want to discuss why the mass exodus from blue states to red states is actually going to accelerate in 2022.

Right now, there is no issue in the United States that is more divisive than the COVID vaccine.

Most conservatives want to be able to have the freedom to choose whether to take the injections or not, while many on the left want to use the power of government to compel people to get injected.

It has truly been frightening to watch many on the left embrace authoritarianism so eagerly, and many leftist politicians just continue to tighten down the screws.

For example, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio just decided to impose a very strict vaccine mandate on all private employers in his entire city…

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced what he called a first-in-the-nation vaccine mandate for private companies Monday.

He said the combination of the Omicron variant and holiday gatherings forced him to take “bold” steps. He’s giving businesses just three weeks to make sure their workers are vaccinated.

If you don’t get the jab, you won’t be allowed to keep your job.

There will not be a “testing option” under this new mandate, and so anyone that refuses to comply will be kicked to the curb two days after Christmas…

De Blasio said the city will release specific rules on Dec. 15, before the mandate takes effect Dec. 27. He said it will apply to in-person employees, but would not provide any details about enforcement. He also said there will not be a weekly testing option.

This is complete and utter lunacy, but of course we are witnessing lots of that in blue states these days.

We are being told that this new mandate will apply to approximately 184,000 businesses, and that means that vast numbers of New Yorkers will soon be forced to search for greener pastures.

One of them is a woman named Cynthia.  She told a reporter that this mandate gave her yet another reason “to get the hell out of New York”…

Cynthia, an employee at a Midtown marketing firm who refused to share her last name due to fear of blowback, told the Post that the new requirement is ‘another reason’ to leave the city.

‘Just terrific. Bill de Blasio just gave me another reason I need to get the hell out of New York, or at least find a job that lets me work remotely,’ she said.

Where will thousands upon thousands of displaced New Yorkers like Cynthia go?

One conservative member of Congress that represents New York fears that many of them will head to “the free state of Florida”…

‘Mayor de Blasio can’t leave fast enough. He has crushed small business, the economy and quality of life. How many more New Yorkers does he want to see move to the free state of Florida?’ said US Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, who represents Staten Island and Brooklyn.

So New York is going to get even bluer in 2022, and Florida will be getting even redder.

Down in Massachusetts, hundreds of hospital workers were just ruthlessly canned because they refused to comply with a vaccine mandate…

About 200 UMass Memorial Health employees are out of a job because they missed the health care system’s COVID vaccination deadline.

UMass Memorial announced the mandate over the summer with a deadline to get vaccinated or receive an exemption by November 1.

Employees were let go on December 1 if they did not get the vaccine.

Many of those displaced health workers aren’t going to be able to find similar work in Massachusetts, and so they will head to red states.

As for UMass Memorial Health, I am not sure exactly what they plan to do.  You can’t just pull people off the streets to be medical professionals.  They will probably be short-handed for a long time to come, and that is just going to hurt the people that they are supposed to be serving.

In Oregon, a different sort of mandate has people thinking that it may be time to relocate.

If you can believe it, officials in Oregon are actually thinking of making their indoor mask mandate permanent…

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) assembled a Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) earlier this week to address a permanent indoor mask mandate in the state. Oregon is one of a few states that still retain one nearly two years into the pandemic.

The committee included several community stakeholders, including representatives from the hospitality industry, the business sector, and faith communities, according to local ABC affiliate KATU.

I cannot understand why any rational decision maker would want to do such a thing, but apparently they are quite serious.

There are a whole lot of very conservative people that live in eastern Oregon, and I think that even more of them are going to be moving over the border into Idaho in 2022.

Before I end this article, I want to mention what Canada has just done.

Beginning November 30th, all unvaccinated individuals are now banned from using any form of public transportation…

In Canada, any travelers older than 12 years old must show proof of full vaccination to take any form of public transportation including domestic and international flights as well as trains.

“Starting November 30 at 3:01 am EST, vaccination will be required for travel within and to depart Canada,” the Candian travel website states. “A valid COVID-19 molecular test will no longer be accepted as an alternative to vaccination unless you’re eligible for one of the limited exemptions.”

Trudeau and his minions have completely gone off the deep end, and I feel so sorry for freedom-loving Canadians that are deeply suffering under his regime.

Of course the Biden administration is considering something similar for domestic travel inside the United States.

Let us hope that they never pull the trigger on such a move.

All over the globe we are seeing governments become more authoritarian, and that certainly sets the stage for some of the things that I warned about in my latest book.

Here in the U.S., countless numbers of freedom-loving Americans are fleeing to red states as they seek to escape the oppression that they have been experiencing in blue states.

Unfortunately, blue state tyrants have no intention of backing down, and this is going to create a tremendous amount of tension in our nation as we head into 2022 and beyond.

If you look like you have money, you are a potential target.  I know that statement may sound crass, but we all need to understand that the environment in this country has fundamentally changed.  Criminals in our large urban areas are specifically searching for easy targets that appear to be wealthy.  So if you are spotted leaving an expensive restaurant in a very expensive vehicle, you may be facing gun-toting criminals in your driveway once you get back home.  Last month, the Los Angeles Police Department issued a community alert warning of an alarming rise in “follow home robberies”…

Suspects have been locating victims before following them and committing the robberies as the victim arrives home or at their business, according to a safety bulletin released by the department’s Robbery-Homicide Division.

Authorities say victims have been followed from places such as the Jewelry District of Los Angeles, nightclubs and high-end restaurants, and along Melrose Avenue.

In the old days, criminals would be content with just taking a purse or a wallet.

These days, they want to follow you home and go through everything that you have got.

Another way that criminals are gaining access to homes in southern California is by posing as landscapers…

Burglars in California are appearing to target the homes of Asian-Americans while posing as landscapers in a series of thefts that come amid a rise in follow-home robberies, authorities said last week.

The Torrance Police Department issued a warning on Wednesday about the similarities between multiple residential burglaries that have occurred in recent weeks in Torrance, a city in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area.

If a group of young men come to your home uninvited, do not open the door and do not let them inside.

That is only common sense, but many people are way too trusting these days.

Of course many criminals are still breaking into homes in the middle of the night.  On December 1st, 81-year-old philanthropist Jackie Avant was ruthlessly murdered by thugs that invaded her home while it was dark outside…

The shooting death of philanthropist Jackie Avant, wife of legendary music executive Clarence Avant, in a Dec. 1 break-in at the couple’s Beverly Hills home has also raised fear in entertainment circles and brought new urgency to solving these increasingly violent crimes.

“It’s hard to believe someone would murder an 81-year-old woman in the middle of the night at Trousdale Estates,” said veteran radio host and Avant family friend, Tavis Smiley, in an interview with TheWrap. “It’s hard to wrap your mind around something so barbaric.”

Celebrities all over L.A. are freaking out about this incident because they realize that the exact same thing could soon happen to them.

In northern California, professional thieves targeted a string of cannabis shops during the month of November…

Cannabis shops across the San Francisco Bay Area have been thrown into dire straits as gangs of thieves broke into more than 15 shops throughout November during the series of ‘smash-and-grab’ robberies that are plaguing California.

Oakland Police Chief LeRonne Armstrong told reporters that ‘hundreds’ of vehicles targeted marijuana stores in Oakland last month, firing 175 shots and stealing about $5 million worth of products.

It turns out that thieves really like marijuana.

Who would have ever imagined that?

Thieves on the west coast just continue to get more organized and more sophisticated, and many believe that conditions will just continue to get worse in California as we head into 2022.

Meanwhile, younger employees at Bank of America in New York City are being encouraged to “dress down” in order to make themselves less attractive to violent criminals…

At Bank of America, senior executives have quietly encouraged younger employees to “dress down” to attract less attention as they make their way to B of A’s tower at 1 Bryant Park.

These execs have told their staffers that dressing up, or wearing anything with a Bank of America logo, could make them a target. One bank employee told On The Money he is on high alert after he spotted someone with a knife near the office during a recent trek to the Manhattan workplace.

At one time, New York City was one of the safest major cities on the entire planet, but now violent crime is starting to spiral out of control.

Last week, the entire world was stunned by the brutal stabbing murder of a Columbia University doctoral student…

A Columbia University doctoral student was knifed to death Thursday night near the Ivy League college’s historic Manhattan campus – one of three people attacked by an ‘ecstatic’ gang member on a violent stabbing spree.

Davide Giri, 30, a PhD candidate in computer science, died around 11pm after being stabbed in the stomach by a 25-year-old member of the Bloods gang off-shoot, Everybody Killas, who has 16 prior arrests dating back to 2012 and was out on parole for a 2015 gang assault, police said.

I know that this may not be politically correct to say, but if you see someone walking around with a knife in the middle of a large city, the best thing to do is to run.

Many years ago, following my instincts got me out of a couple of really bad situations.

Of course the violence in our major urban areas is much worse today, and the numbers just continue to rise.  For example, the number of felony assaults in New York City is way up compared to a year ago…

Of course, it’s not just Bank of America where worries over crime pervade. The city reported a 15 percent increase in felony assaults over the past 28 days, as of Nov. 28, when compared to the same period a year ago, according to NYPD statistics.

Needless to say, this is just the beginning.  The crime and chaos in our biggest cities is going to escalate even more in the years ahead.

We live at a time when the poor greatly resent the wealthy, and many of those that are “taking from the rich” actually feel justified in doing so.

If you are wise, you will adjust your behavior accordingly and make yourself less of a target.

But most people will just keep on doing what they have always done, and the predators will continue to have plenty of easy targets.

I never imagined that I would ever write an article containing the words “fear of Omicron”, but here we are.  As many have pointed out, “Omicron” sounds like the name of a really bad science fiction villain from the 1980s.  Global health authorities conveniently skipped over “Xi” in the Greek alphabet, and so now we have a very scary name for what is apparently a very mild variant.  Actually, there was a movie called “Omicron” that was released in 1963 that had an extremely bizarre plot.  In the movie, an alien takes over the body of a human “in order to learn about the planet so his race can take it over.”  Even more strange, a video game called “Omikron” was put out by Microsoft in 1999 that featured demons harvesting the souls of humans…

The emergence of the Omicron variant has led some nostalgic gamers to revisit Omikron: The Nomad Soul, a 1999 video game with plenty of alarming visuals that are ideal nightmare fuel. The game was initially released for Microsoft Windows and eventually became available on Dreamcast. It was developed by Quantic Dream in partnership with David Bowie and follows players as they try to save their own souls.

David voiced a character named Boz in the game, which also focused on players attempting to hunt down a serial killer, and featured demons that lure humans into Omikron. If a player loses in the game, their actual soul is said to be lost for all eternity. The game stands as the only time that the singer was ever featured in a video game, and now its connection to COVID has some reexamining it.

“Omicron” would certainly be a fitting name if this was the scariest COVID variant so far, but those on the ground in South Africa are telling us that all cases up to this point have been “mild”…

South Africa is seeing an increase in COVID-19 reinfections due to the Omicron variant but symptoms for reinfected patients and those infected after vaccination appear to be mild, a scientist studying the outbreak of the new strain said.

And the same thing is happening in Europe.  Of the 44 cases that have been confirmed so far, every single one of them has been “mild”…

The European Union has recorded at least 44 confirmed cases of the omicron variant in 11 countries, but so far all of those are asymptomatic or people with mild symptoms, according to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.

So there is no need for all of the hysteria that we are witnessing.

Haven’t the last two years taught us anything?

Even before Omicron came along, needless restrictions were making it exceedingly difficult to transport goods around the planet in an efficient and timely manner.  As a result, we are now dealing with the worst supply chain crisis that any of us have ever experienced by a very wide margin.

If global leaders respond to Omicron by piling on even more needless restrictions, that is going to make the global supply chain crisis a whole lot worse.

Unfortunately, we are already starting to see politicians all over the world opt for the panic button.

For example, the U.S. has decided to completely ban travel from a number of African countries, and very strict new testing regulations for all inbound international air travelers will go into effect in just a few days…

All inbound international travelers will be required to test within one day of departure for the United States starting Monday.

All flights departing after 12:01 a.m. ET December 6 will abide by a new CDC testing order, per an administration official.

This new testing time frame will apply to everyone, “regardless of nationality or vaccination status,” the plan outlined on the White House website says.

Other nations are considering measures that are even more extreme.

Over in Israel, the “coronavirus czar” is saying that making vaccines mandatory for every single citizen should be an option…

Israel’s coronavirus czar Prof. Salman Zarka said Wednesday that Israel should consider making COVID vaccines compulsory, but stressed it was only his opinion and does not reflect any actual government policy.

“I think we need to examine all the options, including the option of mandating vaccination in the State of Israel,” Zarka told Radio 103FM in an interview.

The German government has gone even further.  According to Angela Merkel, a vaccine mandate for the entire country is likely to go into effect in February as long as it is approved by parliament…

“We have understood that the situation is very serious and that we want to take further measures in addition to those already taken,” Merkel told reporters at Thursday’s news conference. “The fourth wave must be broken and this has not yet been achieved,” she added.

A nationwide vaccination mandate could come into effect from February 2022 — after it is debated in parliament and following guidance from Germany’s Ethics Council, Merkel said.

Once Germany and a few other nations successfully implement mandates, it is only a matter of time before a lot of other countries start jumping on board.

On Thursday, the German government also announced a new strict lockdown for all unvaccinated individuals…

Germany on Thursday announced a nationwide lockdown for the unvaccinated, as its leaders backed plans for mandatory vaccinations in the coming months.

Unvaccinated people will be banned from accessing all but the most essential businesses, such as supermarkets and pharmacies, to curb the spread of coronavirus, outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel and her successor, Olaf Scholz, announced Thursday, following crisis talks with regional leaders.

So now Germany has taken a very hard turn toward authoritarianism.  I believe that we have seen this story before.

Ultimately, I believe that we will eventually see vaccine mandates throughout much of Europe, and if that happens it will be truly, truly horrifying for those of us that still love freedom.

COVID has provided the perfect opportunity for politicians to start acting like tyrants, and what we are witnessing right now is setting the stage for the exceedingly dark times that are coming.

As it becomes obvious that Omicron is not a serious threat, hopefully governments around the globe will ease up on everyone for a while.

Because the damage that has already been done over the past couple of years has been incalculable, and a new wave of needless restrictions could easily push us over the precipice and into an abyss of misery.

Why are CEOs and corporate insiders selling their stocks at a far faster rate than we have ever seen before?  Do they know something that the rest of us do not?  If stock prices are going to continue soaring into the stratosphere like many in the mainstream media are suggesting, these insiders that are dumping stocks like there is no tomorrow will miss out on some absolutely enormous profits.  On the other hand, if a colossal market crash is coming in 2022, then 2021 was absolutely the perfect time to get out.  As I have said countless times before, you only make money in the stock market if you get out in time.  Could it be possible that many of the richest people in the world have picked the absolutely perfect moment to pull the trigger?

According to CNBC, CEOs and corporate insiders have sold 69 billion dollars worth of stock so far this year.  That is a new all-time record, and it is a whopping 30 percent higher than last year…

CEOs and corporate insiders have sold a record $69 billion in stock in 2021, as looming tax hikes and lofty share prices encourage many to take profits.

From Satya Nadella at Microsoft to Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, CEOs, founders and insiders have been cashing in their stock at the highest pace on record. As of Monday, sales by insiders are up 30% from 2020 to $69 billion, and up 79% versus a 10-year average, according to InsiderScore/Verity, which excludes sales by large institutional holders.

Interestingly, this fire sale has come to a crescendo just as the U.S. economy has reached a critical turning point.  We are in the midst of the worst supply chain crisis in our history, inflation has reached levels that we haven’t seen since the 1970s, and the rising violence in our streets is depressing economic activity in many of our largest urban areas.

Over the past two years, the federal government has borrowed and spent trillions of dollars that we could not afford to spend.  During that same period, the Federal Reserve has pumped trillions upon trillions of fresh dollars into the financial system.  They took these measures in a desperate attempt to resuscitate the economy, and we certainly did experience a “sugar high” for a little while.

But now there are all sorts of signs that the economy is starting to slow down once again.  For example, sales on Black Friday were down 28.3 percent compared to 2019 levels…

Traffic at retail stores on Black Friday dropped 28.3% compared with 2019 levels, as Americans shifted more of their spending online and kicked off their shopping earlier in the year, according to preliminary data from Sensormatic Solutions.

The apologists in the mainstream media would have us believe that retail sales are down because online sales are booming.

But that is not true.

In fact, sales on Cyber Monday were down for the first time ever…

Consumers logged online Monday and spent $10.7 billion, marking a 1.4% decrease from year-ago levels, according to data released Tuesday by Adobe Analytics.

This year’s tally marks the first time that Adobe has tracked a slowdown in spending on major shopping days. The firm first began reporting on e-commerce in 2012, and it analyzes more than 1 trillion visits to retailers’ websites.

This amazes me.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday were both down despite the fact that our leaders have been pouring trillions and trillions of dollars on to the fire.

Meanwhile, the latest manufacturing numbers were a disappointment, and analysts are blaming that on our ongoing supply chain crisis…

Broad swathes of US manufacturing remain hamstrung by supply chain bottlenecks and difficulties filling staff vacancies. Although November brought some signs of supply chain problems easing slightly to the lowest recorded for six months, widespread shortages of inputs meant production growth was again severely constrained to the extent that the survey is so far consistent with manufacturing acting as a drag on the economy during the fourth quarter.

Of course the mainstream media continues to try to put a positive spin on our economic woes.

For example, CNN just published an article entitled “Why inflation can actually be good for everyday Americans and bad for rich people”.

If what they are saying is true, why don’t we push inflation to the max?

Let’s have every home cost at least a million dollars, let’s have a loaf of bread cost 20 bucks, and let’s make gasoline so expensive that it will make your eyes bleed when you see the prices at your local gas station.

Won’t that be just great for hard working Americans everywhere?

Needless to say, I am just being facetious.

Inflation is destroying our standard of living, and more Americans are falling out of the middle class with each passing day.

As if we didn’t already have enough on our plates, now Omicron has arrived in the United States…

The United States’ first confirmed case of the Omicron coronavirus variant has been identified in California.

In a White House news briefing, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said the case was in an individual who traveled from South Africa on November 22 and tested positive for Covid-19 on November 29.

As I discussed the other day, there is absolutely no reason for all of the hysteria that we are currently witnessing.  At this stage, it does not appear that Omicron is any more dangerous than the other variants that are currently floating around.

But that isn’t going to stop global leaders from doing even more damage to the world economy.

We are already seeing more travel restrictions and more mandates, but there is not even a single confirmed case of anyone dying from Omicron yet.

If politicians are going to get this irrational over Omicron, how are they going to respond when things start getting really crazy in the years ahead?

You might want to start thinking about that.

So much of the economic damage in the past couple of years has been self-inflicted, and a lot more self-inflicted pain is on the way.

Meanwhile, CEOs and corporate insiders are selling off their stocks at a pace that is raising a lot of eyebrows.

Just like you and I, can they feel what is coming?

There are so many clouds on the horizon, and personally I have such a bad feeling about 2022.

While most of the U.S. population is distracted by other matters, the Biden administration continues to march us even closer to war with both Russia and China.  It is understandable that so much attention is being given to the craziness surrounding the COVID pandemic, our very serious economic problems and the growing violence in our streets, but ultimately our deteriorating relationships with Russia and China will become even bigger news than any of those stories.  If we stay on the path that we are currently on, there will inevitably be war with Russia and there will inevitably be war with China.  I do not believe that either of those conflicts will erupt this week or this month, but thanks to the recklessness of the Biden administration we are relentlessly moving toward war.  So even though most of my articles address concerns that are of a more immediate nature, I am going to keep my readers periodically updated on these developments, because this is a story that isn’t going to go away.

On Tuesday, Vladimir Putin warned the United States and NATO not to deploy troops or missiles in Ukraine…

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned NATO and the US Tuesday that any deployment of troops or missiles in Ukraine would cross a “red line” and prompt a military response.

“The emergence of such threats represents a ‘red line’ for us,” the Russian leader said. “I hope that it will not get to that and common sense and responsibility for their own countries and the global community will eventually prevail.”

Of course this is not the first time Putin has issued such a warning.  For months, the Russians have been making it clear that they will not tolerate western forces in Ukraine.

The Russians are particularly concerned about missiles, because a missile launched from Ukraine could potentially hit Moscow in five minutes.

It is kind of like the Cuban missile crisis in reverse.  For good reason, the U.S. didn’t want Russian missiles in Cuba because of the close proximity.  Similarly, the Russians don’t want western missiles right on their doorstep.

Unfortunately, instead of defusing the situation we continue to see NATO sending more “military hardware” into Ukraine in order to stop a potential “Russian invasion”…

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused NATO on Tuesday of deploying a significant amount of military hardware near Russia’s borders and said Moscow could respond to security threats from Western countries and Ukraine if necessary.

U.S., NATO and Ukrainian officials have raised the alarm in recent weeks over what they say are unusual Russian troop movements near the border with Ukraine, and have suggested that Moscow might be preparing to launch an attack. Moscow has denied any plans to do so.

Most Americans don’t realize this, but this is a tinderbox that could literally explode at any time.

Meanwhile, the Russians continue to prepare for a future global conflict.  A few weeks ago, Putin announced that testing of Russia’s new hypersonic missiles was almost done…

Earlier in November, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that tests of the Zircon hypersonic missiles are almost completed.

Vladimir Putin said that the hypersonic weapon with maximum speed of Mach 9 will appear in Russia in the near future.

These missiles can move at unimaginable speeds, and the U.S. has absolutely no way to defend against them.

Even more alarming, Putin is saying that Russia will be deploying “sea-based” hypersonic missiles early next year…

Speaking to gathered experts, Putin called the development of high-speed missiles as a “necessary” response to “Western actions.”

“We have already successfully conducted tests, and from the beginning of the year we will have in service a sea-based hypersonic missile of Mach 9,” Putin said.

Russia’s “black hole submarines” are so quiet that they can literally sneak up to our coastlines without anyone ever detecting them.

So imagine a scenario where a whole bunch of them suddenly surface just off our coastlines and launch hypersonic missiles which start hitting our coastal cities within just moments.

By the way, China has also developed a very alarming new hypersonic weapon system…

A senior U.S. Space Force officer has stressed that China’s new hypersonic weapon system is indeed orbital in nature and could be able to stay in space for an extended period of time. This is the latest piece of official information about this novel system that reportedly uses some kind of hypersonic glider, which may be capable of launching its own projectiles to actually execute a strike.

At this point, both Russia and China are miles ahead of us when it comes to developing hypersonic weapons.

But at least the U.S. military has them both beat when it comes to conducting diversity seminars.

As bad as things are with Russia, I actually believe that war with China is even closer.

Taiwan is the primary source of contention between the Chinese and the Biden administration, and things just continue to get even more tense.

In fact, China just sent “about 150 aircraft” into Taiwanese airspace over a recent four day period…

The past few days have been busy in airspace off Taiwan’s southern coast, in what’s been a steady uptick of such threatening flights. “Over the past year, the frequency of Chinese incursions has increased, with about 150 aircraft over a period of four days,” The Associated Press tallied by the close of Sunday.

This could mark a new record set over a four-day time period, given the first week of October say 145 PLA aircraft within the same window, a prior record. The actions had corresponded with China’s 72nd annual National Day.

I am entirely convinced that the Chinese will pull the trigger on an invasion of Taiwan at some point.

When that occurs, the U.S. and China will instantly be in a state of war.

But most Americans don’t really care about any of this.

Most Americans will just keep their heads stuck in the sand as the world continues to go mad all around them.

Unfortunately, when they do finally wake up it will be way too late to reverse course.
