The “Everything Collapse” Continues: One-Third Of All Freshwater Fish Are Facing Extinction

It isn’t just the economy that is collapsing.  We live at a time when our entire planet and all of the systems that it supports are in the process of failing.  There are many out there that believe that if we can just reduce global temperatures a bit that everything will be just fine, but that is a complete and utter fantasy.  The truth is that everything is collapsing because of our self-destructive behavior, and we won’t be altering that self-destructive behavior any time soon.  There are others that are in a state of denial about what is happening, and they continue to promote the fairytale that everything is going to be just wonderful and that a new golden era of prosperity for humanity is right around the corner.  You have to be quite delusional to believe that sort of a narrative, but there are plenty of people that do.

At this juncture, everyone should be able to see that the clock is ticking for our planet, and in this article I am going to share several examples that underscore this point.

First of all, according to a new report that was just released this week, one-third of all freshwater fish species on the entire planet are now facing extinction…

Nearly a third of all freshwater fish species are threatened by extinction, according to a new report released by 16 conservation groups on Tuesday.

“The World’s Forgotten Fishes” says that 80 freshwater species — which make up more than half of all the world’s species — have already been declared extinct, with 16 disappearing in 2020 alone.

We are losing more than one species of freshwater fish a month.

That is mind blowing.

In other cases, certain populations of freshwater fish have suffered “catastrophic” population drops…

Migratory populations have declined by more than three-quarters since the 1970s, while populations of larger species, weighing more than 60 pounds, have fallen by an even more “catastrophic” 94 percent, it said.

If you think that this has happened because global temperatures may have ticked up a bit, you aren’t being rational.

Temperatures have gone up and down dramatically for thousands of years, but we have never seen anything like this.

This crisis is getting worse with each passing year, and hundreds of millions of people rely on freshwater fish for “their main source of protein”…

About 200 million people across Asia, Africa and South America rely on freshwater fishers for their main source of protein, researchers said in “The World’s Forgotten Fishes” report. About one-third of those people also rely on them for their jobs and livelihoods.

This is yet another factor that is going to cause the coming “global famine” that I keep talking about.

Meanwhile, we are losing insect species at a staggering rate as well.

In fact, one report found that a whopping 40 percent of all insect species are on the verge of extinction…

In February, they published the first synthesis of 73 studies on entomological fauna around the world over the past 40 years, listing places from Costa Rica to southern France.

They calculated that over 40 percent of insect species are threatened with extinction, and each year about one percent is added to the list.

This is equivalent, they noted, to “the most massive extinction episode” since the dinosaurs disappeared.

Reducing temperatures slightly won’t alter this trajectory.

The truth is that this also is happening due to our extremely self-destructive behavior.

According to Australian researcher Francisco Sanchez-Bayo, we are looking at only about 100 years before all the insects are gone…

Chillingly, the total mass of insects is falling by 2.5 percent annually, the review’s authors said. If the decline continues at this rate, insects could be wiped off the face of the Earth within a century.

“It is very rapid. In 10 years you will have a quarter less, in 50 years only half left and in 100 years you will have none,” study co-author Francisco Sánchez-Bayo, an environmental biologist at the University of Sydney, Australia, told The Guardian.

Once all of the insects are gone, humanity will soon follow.

So this is something that we cannot afford to ignore.

On top of everything else, a few years ago one study determined that the number of wild animals living on the planet would drop by a total of 67 percent during the 50 year period from 1970 to 2020…

The number of wild animals living on Earth is set to fall by two-thirds by 2020, according to a new report, part of a mass extinction that is destroying the natural world upon which humanity depends.

The analysis, the most comprehensive to date, indicates that animal populations plummeted by 58% between 1970 and 2012, with losses on track to reach 67% by 2020. Researchers from WWF and the Zoological Society of London compiled the report from scientific data and found that the destruction of wild habitats, hunting and pollution were to blame.

Can anyone rationally explain why we aren’t supposed to be totally freaked out by numbers like this?

Even the human race itself is in decline.

As I discussed a couple days ago, male sperm counts have dropped by more than 50 percent since 1973.  We have almost reached a point where the average human male is in a sperm count range that makes it difficult to have children, and this problem continues to intensify with each passing year.  For much more on this, please see my previous article entitled “Science Proves That Time Is Running Out For Humanity”.

The decline in human fertility has been particularly dramatic in the western world, and birth rates in some western nations have already dropped below replacement level.

In addition, scientific research has shown that humans are getting shorter, weaker, slower and our brains are getting smaller.

We like to think of ourselves as the pinnacle of human history, but the truth is that we are actually a bunch of mutant degenerates.  Each generation produces more harmful mutations, and those harmful mutations are passed on to the next generation of humans.

So not only is the clock ticking for our planet, but it is also ticking for humanity itself.

Those that are trying to convince you that the human race is about to enter a new “golden age” are not telling you the truth.

Time is running out, and global events are building up to a grand crescendo.

Unfortunately, most people can’t see the big picture because they are being willingly deceived by liars that are telling them whatever they want to hear.

A “Biblical” Invasion Of Locusts Threatens To Cause Widespread Famine In The Horn Of Africa

The locusts are back, and they are hungry.  Last year, an unprecedented plague of locusts devastated crops in eastern Africa, across the Middle East and throughout much of Asia.  Many were hoping that it would just be a one year phenomenon, but now the locusts have returned and one British news source is using the world “biblical” to describe this second wave.  At this moment, the Horn of Africa is being hit the hardest, and the UN is warning that this new infestation “threatens the livelihoods of more than 39 million people”…

According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the next generation of locusts threatens the livelihoods of more than 39 million people in Ethiopia, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, and Kenya. Over recent months, the pests have been combated on 1.3 million hectares of land in the Horn of Africa. However, in northern and central Kenya, more than 15 districts, including many new areas, have already been severely affected by the second wave of locusts. Around 1.9 million people were already living in a precarious nutrition situation, which could now dramatically worsen.

One reporter recently had the opportunity to fly with a pilot that is tracking locust swarms in Kenya, and he was stunned when they came across a “swarm about twice the size of the City of London ready to devour every bit of vegetation in its wake”.

Can you imagine what it must be like for local farmers when millions upon millions of locusts suddenly show up in their area?

These locusts can literally wipe out an entire farm in as little as 30 seconds, and these swarms are capable of traveling vast distances in a single day…

Swarms can fly up to 150 kilometres a day with the wind, and a single square kilometre swarm can eat as much food in a day as 35,000 people.

More than half of the counties in Kenya have already been hit, and many local farmers have had their fields completely devastated.

For example, 70-year-old Isabella Karoki says that she has “lost everything”…

Seventy-year-old Isabella Karoki has never witnessed such a devastating invasion of desert locusts.

“I have lost everything. What do you expect me to eat?” said Karoki, who lives in central Kenya, an agricultural region known for its rich volcanic soils and moderate rainfall.

I honestly do not know what she is going to eat.

When you are a poor farmer and your existence for the entire year depends on what you grow, a disaster of this magnitude can be absolutely crippling.

Hopefully some assistance will be made available, but millions of other farmers in the Horn of Africa will be in the exact same boat.

Of course the locusts eat everything that was meant for livestock as well, and one local dairy farmer named Thomas Mwerore doesn’t know what he will do now…

Dairy farmer Thomas Mwerore is among them.

“The locusts have eaten all the pasture that was there for our livestock,” the 62-year-old told DW. “We are suffering. Even food that we humans eat isn’t there, what can we do?”

Needless to say, this new wave of locusts is going to make the emerging global food crisis even worse.

In 2020, a combination of the COVID pandemic, the locust plague and other factors pushed global hunger to levels that we had not seen in decades.  According to the UN World Food Program, nearly 700 million people were suffering from hunger late last year…

The numbers are staggering— as reflected in the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which has triggered a new round of food shortages, famine and starvation.

According to the Rome-based World Food Programme (WFP) 690 million people do not have enough to eat while 130 million additional people risk being pushed to the brink of starvation by the end of the year.

And the head of the UN World Food Program has previously warned that we could literally see “famines of biblical proportions in 2021”…

The head of the World Food Program says the Nobel Peace Prize has given the U.N. agency a spotlight and megaphone to warn world leaders that next year is going to be worse than this year, and without billions of dollars “we are going to have famines of biblical proportions in 2021.”

When David Beasley made that statement, he didn’t even know that another massive plague of locusts would be hitting Africa this year.

Unfortunately, this new locust plague could soon escalate dramatically.  According to an expert in Kenya, his team is expecting that March and April could be even worse…

“We expect the worst if the young hatch in March and April,” said Kelvin Shingles, Kenya Country Director for German Agro Action (Deutsche Welthungerhilfe), an aid organization, in a press release.

For a long time, I have been warning that global food supplies were getting tighter.

Here in the western world, we can still go to the grocery store and fill up our carts with plenty of food, and so it can be difficult for us to have sympathy for those that are literally facing starvation on the other side of the planet.

But the truth is that it is happening, and the number of people that are suffering from hunger is going to continue to grow.

Even in the best of times we have struggled to feed everyone on the planet, and these are definitely not the best of times.  Even the UN is warning that “famines of biblical proportions” are coming, and the suffering that we will witness will be off the charts.

Here in the United States, our food distribution systems have been rattled by the events of the past year, but there is still lots of food on the shelves.

Of course it is quite true that economic suffering is on the rise, and we have seen a number of instances where Americans have been forced to wait in lines that are miles long at local food banks around the nation.

And it is also undeniable that food prices have been rising aggressively, and this will become an even greater concern as time rolls along.

But for now, let us be thankful for what we still have, and let us also pray for those that are suffering on the other side of the globe because these locust invasions are truly, truly awful.

If A Few Days Of Cold Weather Can Cause “A Very Serious Emergency”…

What would a severe long-term crisis look like in this country?  Despite all of our advanced technology, record cold temperatures have brought much of the U.S. to its knees.  There has been an epic failure of the power grid in Texas, countless pipes that were not designed to handle such low temperatures have burst, and millions are without power and have no way to heat their homes right now.  In fact, we are being told that 4.5 million people in Texas alone were without power on Tuesday…

Extreme energy demand and overloaded frozen utility plants amid an unprecedented deep freeze in Texas are among the factors that led to nearly 4.5 millions customer without power in the Lone Star State on Tuesday, experts say.

Outages spread across Texas left millions in the dark and bitter cold amid single-degree temperatures and a winter storm that buried the state in snow and ice in recent days.

“No matter which way you cut it, this is a massive failure for a grid and a state that holds up energy and electricity as a shining example,” said Varun Rai, the director of the Energy Institute at the University of Texas at Austin.

Most of Texas is on a power grid that is independent from the rest of the nation, and this crisis has exposed how extremely vulnerable that grid can be during an emergency.

Unfortunately, it appears that the cold weather is going to persist for a while, and CenterPoint Energy is telling residents in the Houston area to prepare for “several more days” of power shortages…

CenterPoint Energy, the utility that delivers electricity to Houston-area homes and distributes natural gas, provided an update on the ongoing grid chaos in Texas with some bad news Tuesday evening.

CenterPoint said power shortages could last “several more days” and warned customers “to take precautions for their personal safety.”

Of course it isn’t just Texas that is suffering.

According to one report, rolling blackouts have also been happening in the 14 states that make up the Southwest Power Pool…

The Southwest Power Pool, which controls a grid spanning 14 states from North Dakota to Oklahoma, ordered rotating outages for a second consecutive day.

This wasn’t supposed to happen.

But it is.

The extremely cold weather has also sent natural gas prices to utterly insane levels.  All of a sudden there was a tremendous amount of demand for a limited amount of supply, and we saw prices do things that they have never done before…

Supply for next-day delivery at the Oneok Gas Transportation hub in Oklahoma traded at $999 per million British thermal units for two contracts on Tuesday, according to David Hoy, a trader at Dynasty Power in Calgary. That compares with $4.19 a week earlier.

Gas at the Henry Hub in Louisiana, the benchmark for futures in New York, traded at $19 at about 11:45 a.m. in New York after earlier soaring to $30, Hoy said. Supply at the hub traded at $3.24 a week ago.

One industry official told Bloomberg that he had never seen anything quite like this…

“I’ve been following energy markets and grid issues for a while, and I cannot recall an extreme weather event that impacted such a large swath of the nation in this manner — the situation is critical,” said Neil Chatterjee, a member of the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

All it took was a very days of very cold weather.

Would our system even be able to handle a long-term national crisis that was much more severe?

I don’t think so.

Unfortunately, more bad weather is in the forecast.  A giant winter storm will slam the middle of the country on Wednesday before hitting the east coast on Thursday…

And more foul weather was on the way: Another winter storm with snow and ice was forecast to pummel portions of the South and Midwest on Wednesday before slamming into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Thursday.

In all, as of late Tuesday, 115 million Americans were in the path of the next storm, all the way from Texas to Massachusetts, the weather service said.

Meanwhile, Bill Gates is trying to convince all of us that “global warming” is such a problem that we all need to start eating “100% synthetic beef” from now on…

Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates said in a new interview that all rich countries should transition to 100% synthetic beef in order to significantly curb the greenhouse-gas emissions driving climate change.

In an interview published Sunday by MIT Technology Review, Mr. Gates, who is now cochair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and chair of the investment fund Breakthrough Energy Ventures, said the U.S. switching to plant-based meats like those sold by Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat will be “required” for saving the planet.

What crazy times these are.

No matter what part of the U.S. you live in, you cannot just rely on the grid to heat your home.

Right now, millions of Texans that assumed that the grid would always be there for them are literally shivering inside their own houses.

You always need to have a second way to heat your home in case a major emergency happens.  Of course those that have followed my advice over the years were already prepared for that.

These record cold temperatures will be gone in a few days, and weather patterns will soon stabilize.

But let us not forget the lessons that this crisis is teaching us, because the challenges that lie ahead will be far, far more difficult.

At this moment, ABC News says that this cold snap has turned Texas into “a tundra”, and in Louisiana people are using an airboat to zip around the snow-covered streets.

This isn’t normal, and we are going to see a lot more crazy things happen in the months and years ahead.

I would encourage you to get prepared for all of the strangeness that is in front of us, because as we have seen, the system is not nearly as stable as most people thought it was.

Will The New Ebola Epidemic In Africa Soon Become The Next Global Pandemic?

Ebola is back, and people are starting to die.  So should we be concerned?  When I first heard that a new Ebola cluster had been identified in eastern Congo, I didn’t think too much of it, but now an “Ebola epidemic” has been declared in the country of Guinea in west Africa.  So far, four people have died, and more victims are being treated.  These are the very first Ebola deaths in Guinea since the horrific outbreak that finally ended in 2016.  Global health authorities are rushing to contain this new “epidemic”, because there would be grave consequences if an Ebola outbreak is allowed to spiral out of control.  According to Wikipedia, the average death rate during an Ebola outbreak is “about 50%”…

Ebola, also known as Ebola virus disease (EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF), is a viral hemorrhagic fever of humans and other primates caused by ebolaviruses.[1] Signs and symptoms typically start between two days and three weeks after contracting the virus with a fever, sore throat, muscular pain, and headaches.[1] Vomiting, diarrhoea and rash usually follow, along with decreased function of the liver and kidneys.[1] At this time, some people begin to bleed both internally and externally.[1] The disease has a high risk of death, killing 25% to 90% of those infected, with an average of about 50%.[1] This is often due to low blood pressure from fluid loss, and typically follows six to 16 days after symptoms appear.[2]

Dying from Ebola is a truly horrifying way to go.

I am sure that many of you remember the panic that ensued a number of years ago when it was revealed that Ebola patients were being flown into the United States for treatment.  Thankfully that did not result in an outbreak here in the United States, but at the time people were extremely concerned about what might happen.

Once it gets loose in an area, Ebola can be an absolute nightmare for health authorities, and that is why the epidemic in Guinea is being taken so seriously…

On Monday morning, a fourth victim died in Guinea and four others are being treated in an isolation centre, suffering vomiting, diarrhoea and bleeding. At least seven of the people who contracted the virus attended the funeral of a nurse in Goueke, a town near the Liberian border, on 1 February the government said on Sunday.

“All measures are being taken to stem this epidemic as soon as possible,” Guinea’s health ministry said, declaring an outbreak of the virus last seen in the region in 2016 – at the end of a traumatic three-year outbreak, which infected more than 28,000 people and caused 11,000 deaths in west Africa.

Hopefully they have gotten on top of this outbreak early enough to be able to contain it easily.

But what is strange is that this new epidemic in Guinea comes right on the heels of a new outbreak in eastern Congo…

Guinea’s new outbreak follows a resurgence in eastern Congo, where four cases have been reported – the latest on 14 February. Since August 2018, the region has been grappling with the world’s first Ebola outbreak in an active conflict zone. The new cluster emerged three months after the country’s last outbreak – in the west of the country – was declared over. In total, there have been 12 outbreaks in Congo since Ebola was first identified in 1976.

If you look at a map of Africa, you will see that Guinea and Congo are not anywhere near each other.

So right now we have two outbreaks of Ebola at the exact same time in two vastly different regions of the continent.

That seems rather odd, doesn’t it?

The good news is that Ebola does not spread very easily from person to person, and global health authorities have had a lot of practice in containing Ebola outbreaks over the last several decades.  As one official told NBC News, speed is the key to containing these sorts of outbreaks…

“There are tools and systems that can be mobilized quickly to address these cases. The key will be speed, ensuring appropriate people and materials are where they need to be,” said Donald Brooks, chief executive officer of Initiative: Eau, a U.S. aid group focused on water and sanitation, who has worked on establishing public health emergency response systems in West Africa.

“If not and it spreads to urban centers, it could result in disastrous loss of life,” he warned.

Ebola also doesn’t seem to fit the profile of the sort of killer global pandemic that I warned about in my latest book.  A few years ago an experimental “Ebola vaccine” was developed, and pharmaceutical companies have also come up with treatments that appear to be at least somewhat successful in temporarily extending the lives of Ebola patients.

But if we ever did see a global Ebola pandemic, the death rate would still be extremely high.

And it should be noted that governments around the globe have been attempting to weaponize Ebola and other similar diseases.  The following comes from a Daily Mail report that was published just the other day…

Experts fear Russia could weaponise the deadly Ebola virus as part of a catastrophic biological weapons project.

Unit 68240 of Moscow’s FSB spy agency – linked to the Salisbury Novichok poisonings – is thought to be behind the programme codenamed Toledo.

It is believed the unit is researching both Ebola and the even-more deadly Marburg virus.

If the Russians (or someone else) cooks up a weaponized version of Ebola in a lab and it gets out into the general public, it is doubtful that any existing vaccine or treatment would be effective against it.

As far as this new epidemic in Africa is concerned, we will watch and see what happens.

Outbreaks of disease happen all the time, and very few of those outbreaks ever develop into true global pandemics.

However, experts assure us that it is just a matter of time before a killer pandemic that will be much, much worse than we are experiencing now comes along.

That future pandemic may occur naturally, or it may happen because a really nasty bug gets released from a lab on purpose or accidentally.

However it happens, the truth is that we are extremely vulnerable, and COVID has already shown everyone how much sheer panic a global pandemic can cause.

Living Off Grid As The Collapse Of Society Approaches: “Why Aren’t More People Doing This?”

You don’t have to be a cog in the system.  For most of us, the only option that was presented while we were growing up was to get on the hamster wheel and run as fast as we could.  You know what I mean – go to school, get a job, pay a mortgage, prepare for retirement, etc.  But it doesn’t have to be that way.  If you truly want to unplug from the system and live your life off the grid, you can.  Of course it isn’t easy, but nothing in life really worth doing ever is.

Sadly, the lives of most people are defined by the matrix that the vast majority of us are connected to on a daily basis.  In most cases, your income and status in society are defined by whatever “job” has been given to you by whichever corporation you are currently working for.  We like to call ourselves “employees”, but in essence we are basically corporate servants.

Of course most people feel like they can’t quit their corporate jobs because each month they have to make payments on mortgages, auto loans and credit card debts that they owe to giant corporate financial institutions.

And most people also feel the need to constantly “prepare for retirement” by pouring money into corporate securities in the rigged game that we call “the stock market”.

But what is going to happen to all of them when our economic and financial systems completely implode?

During this current economic downturn, millions upon millions of Americans have already lost their jobs, and it is being reported that millions of Americans could potentially be evicted from their homes in 2021.

When things go bad, it is the little guy that gets crushed first.

But you don’t have to wait around for that to happen.

An increasing number of Americans have decided that living off the grid is the way to go.  For example, 65-year-old Bob Wells will never have to make a mortgage payment or pay rent ever again.  He lives on public lands in his GMC Savana, and he uses solar power to run his 12-volt refrigerator.  In recent years he has become internationally known for his YouTube channel named “Cheap RV Living”, but it wasn’t always this way.

In fact, his decision to adopt a nomad lifestyle was originally sparked by deep dissatisfaction with the corporate job that he was working…

Before becoming a nomad in 1995, Bob lived in Anchorage, Alaska, with his wife and two boys. He worked as a union clerk at the same Safeway where his father had worked until retirement, only to die two years later.

Bob didn’t want his father’s fate, but there he was. As days became decades, he went to a job he hated, worked with people he didn’t like, to buy things he didn’t want. By his own telling, he was the living embodiment of Thoreau’s “quiet desperation”. He knew he wasn’t happy, but it never occurred to him to live differently.

When he suddenly found himself divorced, Bob made a dramatic choice that changed his life forever…

Then, when he was 40 years old, the divorce happened. After paying alimony and child support, he was taking home $1,200 a month, $800 of which went towards rent.

One day, fretting about impossible finances, he saw a green box van for sale and thought: “Why don’t I buy that van and move into it?” The idea struck him as crazy, but with the prospect of homelessness closing in, he drained the last $1,500 in his savings account and bought the van that was just “too ratty-looking” for its previous owner. He gave his landlord notice that night, threw a sleeping pad in the back of his new home, and cried himself to sleep.

For others, living in a van is not a palatable option, but they have still chosen to live off the grid.

Over in the UK, a British couple named Matthew and Charis Watkinson have fully embraced a philosophy known as “collapsology”…

NO bills, no mortgage, an endless supply of homegrown grub and even a hot tub to relax in – welcome to the world of two Brits prepared for the end.

Essex vets Matthew and Charis Watkinson gave up the rat race for the good life in the Welsh countryside after reading about ‘collapsology’, a movement based around the theory that society as we know it could fall apart.

Wouldn’t it be great to have no bills every single month?

Matthew and Charis gave up their £30,000-a-year jobs, and now they produce their own food on three acres of land in Pembrokeshire…

Matthew and Charis, 35, bought three acres of land in Pembrokeshire for £35,000 and spent a further £25,000 on building a house, chicken coops, greenhouses, a horse poo-powered gas cooker and even a hot tub.

They are entirely self-sufficient, installing solar panels, growing their own fruit and veg, building beehives, rearing up to 140 chickens and converting lorries and flatbed hay trailers into zero-carbon living quarters.

If the collapse of our society greatly accelerates, they are ready.

Meanwhile, they don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn every morning and drag themselves to corporate jobs that they absolutely hate.

As I was preparing this article, I was reminded of a Reddit post that I saw earlier today…

I don’t understand how people would rather have a job than be dead. I genuinely don’t understand the motive. I picked a field I love, I became educated, I have had multiple jobs that are vastly different from each other and every one gives me the same overwhelming feeling of “I’d literally rather die than do this”. It’s been every job I’ve ever had, even before graduating college. I simply don’t feel rewarded when I put in effort to complete a task, I never get fulfillment out of a job well done. I don’t understand how people do this their whole lives

Have you ever felt that way?

I think that most of us have.

Matthew and Charis may have simple lives, but they are absolutely thrilled to be free of the system…

“We’ve built a farm for a lot less than £100,000 and it’s all ours.

“We don’t owe anybody any money and we don’t have any bills – why aren’t more people doing this?”

I think that is a perfect question.

Why aren’t more people doing this?

If you hate what your life has become, maybe it is time for a big change.

In Just A Few Days, Biden Has Brought The U.S. Much Closer To A War With China

The warmongers are back in control in Washington, but this time the wild-eyed lunatics that Joe Biden has surrounded himself with won’t just be starting wars in the Middle East.  Relations with China are already taking a turn for the worse, and the Chinese are warning that actions that the Biden administration is taking could soon push us to the brink of military conflict.  I know that this may surprise many of my readers, because a major Republican talking point has been that Joe Biden and his family have been way too friendly with the Chinese in the past.  Many had assumed that Biden would have a very cozy relationship with China now that he is in the White House, but it looks like the opposite is going to be true.  The Biden administration is taking a very aggressive posture, and the Chinese are not happy about that at all.

Shortly after Biden was inaugurated, the USS Theodore Roosevelt and its battle group entered the South China Sea.  It is being called a “Freedom of Navigation Operation”, but the Chinese are viewing this aircraft carrier battle group as a major provocation…

CHINA has angrily accused the US of “flexing its muscles” in the South China Sea after new President Joe Biden sent an aircraft carrier group into the disputed waterway in a move which Beijing warned could trigger a disastrous war.

Meanwhile state-run Chinese media has claimed the new administration is seeing how far it could push China, both with regard to the South China Sea and Taiwan.

In addition, the U.S. State Department issued a very blunt statement on January 23rd which greatly alarmed the Chinese…

The United States notes with concern the pattern of ongoing PRC attempts to intimidate its neighbors, including Taiwan. We urge Beijing to cease its military, diplomatic, and economic pressure against Taiwan and instead engage in meaningful dialogue with Taiwan’s democratically elected representatives.

We will stand with friends and allies to advance our shared prosperity, security, and values in the Indo-Pacific region — and that includes deepening our ties with democratic Taiwan. The United States will continue to support a peaceful resolution of cross-strait issues, consistent with the wishes and best interests of the people on Taiwan. The United States maintains its longstanding commitments as outlined in the Three Communiqués, the Taiwan Relations Act, and the Six Assurances. We will continue to assist Taiwan in maintaining a sufficient self-defense capability. Our commitment to Taiwan is rock-solid and contributes to the maintenance of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait and within the region.

China considers Taiwan to be Chinese territory, and any suggestion otherwise is considered to be extremely offensive.

So for the Biden administration to say that Taiwan is China’s “neighbor” is a really big deal in Beijing.

And I guarantee you that the phrase “deepening our ties with democratic Taiwan” really pissed off Xi Jinping and other top Chinese officials.

If all of that wasn’t enough, the Biden administration actually invited the de facto ambassador from Taiwan to the inauguration.  That is something that hadn’t been done since the 1970s.

As much as Trump liked to anger the Chinese, not even he went that far.

China has responded to these moves by sending military aircraft into Taiwanese airspace on a daily basis.  The following is from a news report that was posted on January 23rd…

CHINA has breached Taiwan’s Air Defence Zone with eight bombers and four fighter jets in a blatant provocation against the autonomous island, sending a clear signal to new US President Joe Biden in the process.

CNN’s Aditya Raj Kaul tweeted: “Taiwan’s Defence Ministry says that 8 Chinese PLA Bombers and 4 Fighters have Breached Island’s Air Defence Zone. Airborne alert sorties had been tasked, radio warnings issued and air defense missile systems deployed to monitor the activity.”

And then on Saturday and Sunday, China sent more planes than ever toward Taiwan…

China sent 13 warplanes into Taiwan’s ADIZ on Saturday and 15 on Sunday. The first incursion included nuclear-capable bombers, fighter jets, and an anti-submarine aircraft. The second incursion featured more anti-sub planes, advanced fighters capable of using stealth technology, and a reconnaissance aircraft.

On both days, Taiwan scrambled fighter jets, activated its surface-to-air missile defenses, and broadcast radio warnings to the Chinese planes.

I don’t think that military action is imminent, but it is important to remember that the Chinese have been rehearsing an invasion of Taiwan for a very long time.

In addition to the saber rattling by the Chinese military, China’s state-run Global Times published a very strongly worded editorial on Monday…

If the tension across the Taiwan Straits is to be eased, we must return to its deteriorating starting point, which is the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities in Taiwan refusing to recognize the 1992 Consensus and opposing the one-China principle. All tensions across the Taiwan Straits originate from the DPP authorities’ perverse act. And this is in contradiction with the US establishment’s general direction in controlling the situation in the Taiwan Straits, and is also incompatible with the three China-US joint communiqués. If the US places its China policy on the basis of the DPP authorities’ reckless moves, which obviously have a trend of Taiwan secessionism, then it will bear long-term and cumulative strategic risks.

The easing of the tension in the Taiwan Straits should start from the political point of view. It cannot reach a breakthrough through strategy. The interaction among the Chinese mainland, the US and the island of Taiwan has been broken in all directions and is difficult to repair. In the later period of the Trump administration, the situation across the Taiwan Straits actually reached the edge of collapse. If the Biden administration does not want the situation to get out of control or get itself seriously involved, they should sent out a clear political signal to distinguish themselves from the previous administration’s mischief, and restore the controllability of the Taiwan Straits on the basis of the one-China principle.

As far as the Chinese government is concerned, the status of Taiwan, the status of Hong Kong, and the status of the South China Sea are non-negotiable issues.

If the Biden administration continues to push the envelope on those issues, it will inevitably bring us closer and closer to a future military conflict with China.

Of course many would argue that we need to be tough on bullies such as China, and it is hard to argue with that reasoning.

But foreign policy takes finesse, because if you push the other side too fast or too hard they could snap and do something irrational.

President Reagan understood this very well, and his patience was one of the reasons why we were able to win the Cold War.

Now a new Cold War is here, and the warmongers that Biden has put in charge of our foreign policy could end up starting a war with China that nobody wants.

They Didn’t Even Give Joe Biden One Day Before They Started Rioting…

When people tried to sell us on the idea that the radical left would quit rioting once Joe Biden was president, I just had to chuckle.  I knew that what they were saying simply was not true.  But I figured that the radical left would at least give Biden a few days before they started rioting, looting and burning things again.  Sadly, I was wrong.  Just hours after Joe Biden was sworn in, radical leftists in Portland and Seattle started going completely nuts.  The footage that you are about to see is extremely shocking, but so far the corporate media is mostly avoiding this story because it does not fit any of the narratives that they are currently trying to push.  Of course if it was Trump supporters rioting it would be the biggest news story in the entire nation right now.

Apparently, Antifa activists in Portland are not too thrilled that Biden is president, because the primary target of their violence on Wednesday was the Democratic Party of Oregon headquarters.

The corporate media was so quick to use the term “domestic terrorists” when it was Trump supporters that were going crazy.

Will the corporate media dare to use the same term for these nutjobs?

Didn’t they realize that it was Inauguration Day?

Perhaps they should have actually given Biden a chance to do something that they don’t like before they started smashing things up.

In an attempt to stop the mayhem, the impotent police in Portland immediately posted a message on Twitter warning that the rioters could potentially face “arrest or citation”…

To those gathered near the Democratic Party of Oregon Portland Headquarters: Members of this group have been observed damaging the building. Anyone who is involved in criminal behavior including: vandalism and graffittiing is subject to arrest or citation.

Oh no, not a citation!

Surprisingly, that tweet did not end the violence.

Meanwhile, Antifa once again demonstrated who rules the streets of Seattle.

When they got to just the right spot, they burned an American flag in the middle of an intersection.

Not satisfied with that, the Antifa rioters also decided to vandalize an Amazon Go store in the downtown area.

Many in the corporate media are envisioning that the primary threat of violence will come from Trump supporters now that Biden is president.

But that is not even close to the truth.

Over the past year, it has been the radical left that has been endlessly rioting, looting and setting buildings on fire.  They have relentlessly assaulted police stations, courthouses and other federal buildings, and not once has the corporate media ever referred to them as “domestic terrorists”.

You would think that the fact that Biden has replaced Trump in the White House would make the radical left happy for a few days, but it appears that nothing will ever make them happy for very long.

As I have warned over and over again, the radical left wants to dismantle the entire system and bring about a full-blown revolution in this country.

Now that Trump is out of office, all of this political violence is Biden’s problem now.

Will he have the guts to stand up to the radical left?

We shall see what happens.

The worse economic conditions in this country become, the worse the rioting is going to get, and the radical left is making it clear that Biden is not going to get any sort of a “honeymoon” period.

6 Asteroids Will Make Close Approaches To Earth On Inauguration Day

After all of the weirdness that we have witnessed over the past year, it just wouldn’t feel right if something strange didn’t happen on Inauguration Day.  And right on cue, NASA is telling us that six asteroids will make close approaches to our planet within that 24 hour period.  One would be noteworthy, but six almost seems like overkill.  Could it be possible that someone is trying to get our attention?  Over the past couple of years, the number of “near misses” that we have had with asteroids has seemed to increase dramatically.  And as I have discussed previously, sometimes we don’t even see them until they have already gone past our planet.  This is a trend that I am going to keep a close eye on, because scientists assure us that eventually our luck will run out and our planet will get hit by a big one.

The good news is that none of the asteroids that are heading our direction will hit us on Inauguration Day.  But the fact that so many are buzzing the Earth all at once is definitely noteworthy…

NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies reported that six pieces of space rock will be passing by our planet tomorrow, 20th Jan., when the US celebrates Inauguration Day — the day when the new president-elect is vested with the powers of his office.

The agency says everything should be alright and that these meteorites will zip past harmlessly. Still, after 2020 and this election’s history, we can all be forgiven some wallowing in skepticism and despair at the thought that they might not. We’ve earned it.

If 7 asteroids were zipping by our planet, many would consider that to be a good sign, because the number 7 is generally associated with good things.

But the number 6 is a different matter altogether.

And it turns out that one of the giant space rocks is almost exactly as tall as the Statue of Liberty…

One of the rocks has the potential to be almost as big as the Statue of Liberty in New York City, an iconic American landmark.

Asteroid 2021 BC will be travelling at around 29,000 miles per hour when it passes Earth and could be up to 302ft.

For reference, the Statue of Liberty is 305 feet tall.

All of this might mean something, or it might mean nothing at all.

I just found it to be interesting, and so I decided to write about it.

In addition to everything that I just shared, a giant space rock known as “Asteroid 2021 BO” flew by our planet at a distance of just 0.06 lunar distances on the 18th…

A newly-discovered asteroid designated 2021 BO flew past Earth at 0.06 LD / 0.00016 AU (23 935 km / 14 900 miles) at 08:19 UTC on January 18, 2021. On the same day, at 01:16 UTC, another asteroid — designated 2021 BK — flew past us at a distance of 0.59 LD (0.00151 AU).

2021 BO is the 5th known asteroid to flyby Earth within 1 lunar distance since the start of the year and the 23rd closest flyby on record.

0.06 lunar distances is closer than many of the orbits of our communications satellites.

So that was a very close call.

And once again we see the number 6 popping up.

I am sure that is just a coincidence.

Also, who do you think of when you see the initials “BO”?

Needless to say, most people think of Barack Obama.

Joe Biden served under Barack Obama for two terms, and this asteroid known as “BO” just happened to fly by our planet two days before Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Once again, I do not know if any of this actually means anything.

I just find it to be interesting.

Switching gears, when Joe Biden takes the oath of office it is officially going to mark the end of an era.

For the past four years, we have had to endure an endless parade of Internet rumors, outright lies and false “prophecies”.

For the past four years, we have been told over and over again that there was a “plan”, that thousands of high profile criminals were about to be brought to justice, and that Donald Trump would surely have a second term.

Even after the Electoral College voted, many continued to cling to outrageous fantasies that had absolutely no basis in reality.

Now a very long list of people will be proven wrong, and millions of Americans will be emotionally shattered as the hoaxes they believed come crashing down all around them.

Just like journalists in the mainstream media, those of us that serve in the independent media have a responsibility to share information that is factual, accurate and grounded in reality.

Yes, we can speculate about what may or may not happen in the political realm, and it is certainly okay to have strong opinions about the crazy events that are transpiring all around us.

But continuously feeding people information that is obviously false is not okay, and perpetuating wild fantasies that originate from fraudulent sources is not okay either.

Those that have been knowingly pushing false information should not criticize the mainstream media for putting out “fake news” because they are doing the exact same thing.

Even worse are the charlatans that convinced millions upon millions of people that God told them that Donald Trump would win the election.

No He didn’t.

Those fakers should be ashamed of themselves.  All throughout human history, there have been true prophets and there have been false prophets, and our time is no different.  And now that millions of people have been let down by false prophets, it is going to make it so much more difficult to share the true voices that have been relentlessly warning us about what is coming.

But right at this moment, there are millions upon millions of people out there that don’t want to hear about anything because they believed the lies that they were fed day after day and now they are emotionally devastated.

I think that it would do our society a tremendous amount of good to rededicate ourselves to seeking the truth no matter what the cost.

Deception is absolutely rampant on both the left and the right, and that is extremely sad.

Hopefully what has happened will serve as a wake up call for lots of people, because time is truly running out for our country.
