The End Of America?: 13 Catastrophic Events Which Could Soon Lead To An American Apocalypse

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

Apocalyptic - Public DomainIs the strongest and most powerful nation on the planet headed for an apocalypse which will bring it to its knees?  We live in a world that is becoming increasingly unstable, and apocalyptic themes have become very common in books, movies, television shows and video games.  It is almost as if there is an unconscious understanding on a societal level that something very big and very bad is coming, even if the vast majority of the population cannot specifically identify what that is going to be.  Last week, the Global Challenges Foundation released a new report entitled “Global Catastrophic Risks 2016” in which they discussed various apocalyptic events that they believe could wipe out more than 10 percent of the population of our planet, and they warned that these types of events “are more likely than we intuitively think”

Sebastian Farquhar, director at the Global Priorities Project, told the Press Association: “There are some things that are on the horizon, things that probably won’t happen in any one year but could happen, which could completely reshape our world and do so in a really devastating and disastrous way.

“History teaches us that many of these things are more likely than we intuitively think. Many of these risks are changing and growing as technologies change and grow and reshape our world. But there are also things we can do about the risks.”

According to this new report, we are five times more likely to die from the various apocalyptic catastrophes that they analyzed than we are from a car accident.

In this article, I want to discuss some of the most important threats that they analyzed, in addition to adding some of my own to the list.  But first I want to mention that I do not believe that the Global Challenges Foundation is correct to identify climate change as one of the most significant catastrophic threats that humanity is facing.  Our climate has always been changing, and I do believe that we will see wild climate shifts in the years ahead.  However, human activity plays an exceedingly small role in all of this, and there is not very much that we can do to prevent what is going to happen either.  Most of the climate change that we are going to see in our future is going to be as a result of other catastrophes in this list, so I have not included it as a separate item.

With that being said, let’s quickly examine some of the potential threats identified by the Global Challenges Foundation…

Supervolcanoes

In various locations around the globe, there are gigantic supervolcanoes which could dramatically change the course of human history in a single moment by erupting.  In the United States, the Yellowstone supervolcano is becoming increasingly active, and a full-blown eruption could potentially be up to 2,000 times more powerful than the eruption of Mount St. Helens back in 1980.  As I mentioned the other day, major metropolitan areas such as Salt Lake City and Denver would be essentially destroyed, food production in this country would be virtually wiped out, and a “volcanic winter” would cool global temperatures by up to 20 degrees for up to several years.

Asteroids And Comets

This is something that the Obama administration is actually quite concerned about.  During his tenure, NASA has established a “Planetary Defense Coordination Office” that is in charge of tracking giant space rocks, and NASA is working to develop a method to destroy incoming asteroids using nuclear weapons.

Scientists admit that they only know about a small fraction of the near-Earth objects that are actually out there, and we get hit “by surprise” all the time.  If we were to get hit at just the right place by a very large object, like say just off the east coast of the United States, the consequences would almost be too horrible for words.

Today, 39 percent of all Americans live in counties that directly border a shoreline, and most of those people are along the east coast.  According to the University of California at Santa Cruz website, if a huge asteroid did slam into the Atlantic Ocean, it could potentially produce a 400 foot high tsunami that would sweep inland for many, many miles and kill millions upon millions of Americans in the process.

Natural Pandemics

The flu pandemic of 1918 killed approximately 50,000,000 people worldwide, and scientists assure us that it will happen again one day.

Yes, we have come a long way in fighting disease, but as we learned during the recent Ebola outbreak, a really nasty virus can grip the entire world with fear in a very short period of time.

Engineered Pandemics

This is probably even a bigger threat than natural pandemics, because now we have the technology to genetically alter naturally occurring diseases and make them even stronger.

Whether it is on purpose or by accident, it is only a matter of time before a genetically-modified superbug gets released into the general population, and when that day arrives it may make all previous pandemics look like a Sunday picnic.

Artificial Intelligence

Could someday entities that we have created turn on us and start killing us?

Some might refer to this as “the Terminator scenario”, and it is becoming more realistic with each passing day as our technological capabilities continue to increase at an exponential rate.

Geoengineering

The human race now has the capability to purposely modify the weather, and this means that we also have the capability to do a tremendous amount of damage.

Have you ever looked up and noticed long white trails criss-crossing the sky?  This is being done on purpose, and when they spray chemicals into our atmosphere it could have some very severe long-term consequences that the authorities may not be anticipating.

Nuclear War

Back during the Cold War, most Americans would have probably named this as the number one catastrophic threat facing America, but these days most people tend to believe that “the Cold War” is over.

So nobody has really objected while the U.S. strategic nuclear arsenal has been reduced by about 95 percent, and Barack Obama insists that he would like to reduce it even further.

Meanwhile, both the Russians and the Chinese are rapidly modernizing their nuclear forces, and they both have developed hypersonic glide vehicles that can defeat any missile defense system that the U.S. can put up.

Our relationship with Russia has already gone down the tubes, and our relationship with China is rapidly deteriorating.  In fact, China just rejected a request for the USS John C. Stennis to make a routine port call at Hong Kong.  Most Americans assume that a war with either one of them is impossible, but the truth is that we may find ourselves in a conflict with both of them at the same time eventually.

The catastrophic threats above were ones that were mentioned in the report from the Global Challenges Foundation.  Below are some additional items that I would like to add to the list…

Islamic Terror

It isn’t just ISIS that we need to be concerned about.  Islamic terror is exploding all over the planet, and according to Wikipedia there have already been 95 such attacks globally so far in 2016.

Up until now, they have been killing us with guns and bombs, but what happens when they inevitably get their hands on chemical, biological or nuclear weapons?

Terror attacks using weapons of mass destruction could literally turn our society completely upside down virtually overnight, and it is only a matter of time until this starts happening.

Power Grid Failure

Someday you may wake up and discover that the power grid has totally failed.  Just try to imagine a world without any lights, cell phones, computers, televisions, ATMs, heating and cooling systems, credit card readers, gas pumps, cash registers, refrigerators or hospital equipment.  A massive electromagnetic pulse, either from the sun or as the result of a nuclear blast, could instantly plunge society back into the 1800s.

The EMP Commission spent years studying this, and they told Congress back in 20o8 that up to 90 percent of the U.S. population could be dead within one year of such an event due to starvation, disease and the breakdown of society.  So this is a threat that people better start taking seriously.

Cyberwar

World War III will not be fought like previous wars, and the Internet is one area where we are particularly vulnerable.  The Chinese, the Russians and the North Koreans have all been working very hard to develop their cyberwarfare capabilities, and I was recently told by someone that has deep connections inside the U.S. intelligence community that our power grid could be taken down with just the push of a button.  That is how easy it would be.

With each passing year, we are all becoming more and more dependent on the Internet.  So what would our lives be like if it was suddenly gone?

That is something to think about.

Economic Collapse

If you want to watch society melt down right in front of your eyes, just take away all of the goodies.  On The Economic Collapse Blog I have written more than a million words about the coming economic problems in this country.  We got a very small taste of what is approaching in 2008 and 2009, and yet most people do not seem to have taken that warning seriously.  Since that time, our long-term economic and financial problems have grown far more dire, and now the early chapters of a new economic crisis are unfolding right in front of our eyes, and yet still most people don’t seem to be alarmed.

If you want to see how devastating an economic collapse can be on a nation, just pick up a history book and start reading about the Great Depression of the 1930s.  Unfortunately, what we are heading for is going to be a whole lot worse than that.

Civil Unrest & Martial Law

As the economy collapses and other things on this list start happening, people are going to be absolutely freaking out.  A whole host of polls and surveys have shown that anger and frustration have been building up to unprecedented levels in this country, and at some point there is going to be a huge explosion.

Desperate people do desperate things, and we got small previews of what is coming in Ferguson and in Baltimore.  Violent crime rates are already rising in our major cities, and many among the elite are getting out while the getting is good.  In fact, 3,000 millionaires left the city of Chicago last year alone.

Of course whenever civil unrest erupts, the government responds by trying to regain control, and eventually things are going to get so bad in this nation that we will start to see martial law imposed in various areas.  We saw a little bit of this in Ferguson and in Baltimore, but that was nothing compared to what we will eventually experience.

Catastrophic Earthquakes

A historic earthquake along the New Madrid fault seismic zone, the Cascadia Subduction zone or any of the major faults in California could affect millions of lives, cause hundreds of billions of dollars in damage, and literally change the geography of our continent.

Personally, I believe that those of us that are fortunate enough to live long enough will witness historic earthquakes in all of those areas, and scientists assure us that all three zones are way overdue for major seismic events.

Even if just one of the catastrophic events that I have discussed above were to take place, it would completely change society.

Unfortunately, I believe that we are entering an era of history in which a “perfect storm” that consists of a confluence of these catastrophic events will shake this nation to the core.

So what do you think?

Do you agree or disagree?

Fear not that which kills the body, rather fear him which kills the body and then destroys the soul in hell. When one has a healthy fear of God, there is no need to fear anything else. God Bless

    • MaxRockatansky33

There is no hell. There is no afterlife.

      • watchmannonthewall

Hmmm! If there is no hell and no after life, there must not be a God either. Sounds suspiciously like another person who frequents these pages. If you are right, let’s eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die!
Please excuse me. I will not be joining you!

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

          yes, there is no god

      • Mr. Cipher

Tell us, wise one, how did life begin?

        • Dont Mention The War

IMO not by some whispy dude in the sky deciding to make Adam and Eve a few thousand years ago.

          • Paul Patriot

Wow! Amazing how this site brings out all the God haters…..

          • Harry Merkin

            Well sir,
We were starting the discussion of this article until Preacher62 posted above:

“Fear not that which kills the body, rather fear him which kills the body and then destroys the soul in hell. When one has a healthy fear of God, there is no need to fear anything else. God Bless”

When you inject religious comments into a conversation, you will get people who disagree with organized religion ALSO give their opinion. Like ANY COMMENTS made on an article or blog you will have dissenting viewpoints. For you to say that “this site” brings out God haters is amusing to say the least. On every article I’ve ever read, you will see comedic replies, such as the first one about Godzilla (loved it……lol) and you will see people have vigorous discussion back and forth about the subject matter. If you believe in God, that is your right and pleasure. However, if you stick to the subject matter (that’s why I read this site) and don’t go off topic, you will find the “God haters” have better comments to share. Will it work every time? Until you try, you shall never know Sir.

          • Preacher62

GOD is the subject matter. He is all that matters. In him we live and move and have our being. Apart from him we are nothing.

          • Harry Merkin

            Um. NO.
THE SUBJECT MATTER IF YOU BOTHERED TO READ THE TITLE IS:

The End Of America?: 13 Catastrophic Events Which Could Soon Lead To An American Apocalypse

          • Preacher62

Like I said, God is all that matters. When confronted with catastrophic events, under the wing of the creator of all that is, would appear to be the safest place.

          • Harry Merkin

            (sigh)
I’ve tried to be REALLY NICE about this.
            This leaves me 2 options:

            1) Lower myself to the level of some people on this blog by using profanity towards you and acting like a 6 year old.
            2) Realize that you are a troll who can’t figure out that we are discussing the economy not religion and just ignore your comments.

            I choose 2.

            Goodbye.

          • sistersoldier

            Amen .

          • sistersoldier

A decaying and dying world. Why is that? Why is mankind having so many seemingly increasing problems? No matter the title or the subject of the article the same applies that we live in (a fallen world) which has epercussions because of sin. God is sovereign over the entire universe and all that happens on the earth. Nothing happens that God does not allow. God is not the author of suffering but He allows it and suffering accomplishes His purpose. You may read Romans 8:28 if you choose.

Mankind suffers from our own making. Sin gives birth to suffering and death for it is the wages of sin(payment in full). We must live with the consequences of it. The entire universe – all that is created – is under the curse of sin at the present time (including our fatally flawed economy). Romans 8:20-22 says that “the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope
that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.” It says that the creation is in a state of decay, turmoil and someday the creation will be freed from it.

Romans 8:19 tells us that “The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.” For God even created the wicked for the day of evil.

Which is why the world has and will continue to have so many unsolvable problems.

          • sistersoldier

            100% CORRECT!

          • sistersoldier

How can a God hater have a good comment? Anyone who hates God is incapable of doing or saying anything that is good. He is the giver of life and breath apart from Him not one of us could do anything whether you acknowledge HIM or not.

          • Gay Veteran

“How can a God hater have a good comment?….”

          What if YOU are wrong?

          • Preacher62

Then I have lost nothing. But I am not wrong.

          • Guest

I don’t believe you’re wrong. Keep preaching the truth.

          • sistersoldier

Yes! You have lost nothing! But you will have gained indeed! How we live out our earthly lives transcends to the next existence. Who we are on earth shapes our identity according to convictions, principals, habits and beliefs whether (holy or unholy) and it is how we will be raised up from the dead as you cannot kill a “spirit” or a “soul”. Who would deny that either of those exist?

          • Preacher62

            Amen!

          • Cherie N Jeremy

do you know god exist because of the bible? I read tons of these post and i believe god is the only one who can judge, but i am reading tons of these articles from all sorts of people who believe in god and are judging others that do not or incriminating what they say, I find this sad that anyone would be judged because of the way they believe its their choice, this is why i quit going to church.

          • Preacher62

What you or I believe has no bearing on the facts. God is God whether we believe it or not, sin is sin whether we believe it or not. People who do not repent of their win and turn to God will spend eternity in Hell whether we believe it or not. Those who see their neighbor on the way to Hell and do not warn them will also spend eternity in Hell because they have no love. Get back in a Bible believing Church and pay attention before its too late.

          • Jerry C

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

My interpretation of this verse means that you’re own understanding is lacking; very much lacking indeed, but that’s my interpretation. What’s is your interpretation of the verse above?

          • SunnyFlaSnotress

            there is no god

      • jakartaman

        wrong oh arrogant one
It is the 7th dimension out of the 11
        and gravity is shared

      • Mondobeyondo

Ummm, there is, and there is.
If you do end up in the Eternal Inferno, it will be too late. There is no escape. You will be there for all eternity. It’s best to get your sins forgiven by the blood of Jesus, before it’s too late…

        • Gay Veteran

so what happened, and will happen, to the BILLIONS of people who have never been exposed to Christ’s teachings?

          • jakartaman

you are dead in all cases – Muslim s off building christian/ jew – hell

          • Uzal Roberts

All HAVE been exposed, my friend. Romans chapter 1 tells us this: “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse” (Romans 1: 20

Moreover, Romans chapter 2 tells us we can know God because of our conscience: “They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) 16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares: (Romans 2: 15-16

Finally, Romans chapter 3 explains that Christ Jesus may be known through the law and the prophets.

In conclusion, all people do have the opportunity to know good, because 1. the heavens declare Him; and 2. our conscience tells us there is a God; and 3. Jesus may be known as a result, along with the law and the prophets testimony.

          • Gay Veteran

            religious gibberish.
don’t the fundies think you’re going to he ll if you don’t ACCEPT Jesus as your savior?

        • MaxRockatansky33

Blood of Jesus? Your God told this imaginary scaremongering nonsence? Repeat : there is no hell. There is no afterlife. Period. You bible thumpers are forcing everybody into your delusions.

        • MaxRockatansky33

Thump, thump! How many times Bible was translated from the first original language? Second Bible was written by men not by God. The problem is that many bigots and street corner preachers think that everybody which are not one of them ” will burn in hell”.

      • CASTIEL

There is no money no jobs banks are failing….and when war finaly starts…. i can say : welcome to hell Max 🙂

      • sistersoldier

Wrong on both counts. It may seem convenient as an excuse to remain in sin – as sin is pleasurable for a season. A “wish” or “gamble” that “there is no hell or afterlife” is completely different from the FACT that there is life after death. If there was no life after death you would have never been born in the first place for the dead cannot give birth to the living as a living spirit must come from a source that gives life. Likewise if you are conscience of yourself now you will be conscience of your self later when your immortal body is dead. The body does not give life to the soul which is your conscience and the spirit gives life to the body. Just as God is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost and we were created in His image or in His likeness (physical body, spiritual identity and soul-consciousness of being).

        • SunnyFlaSnotress

          There is no god

        • Gay Veteran

your “god” ordered the murder of children and babies, so NO lectures on morality from you

          • sistersoldier

“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. “You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.…”

“Then his (Job)’s wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die!” But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.”

He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there (to the eternal). The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.” Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.”

          • Gay Veteran

ancient man had to explain why bad things happen to good people, thus the story of Job.

and your “god” ordered the murder of children and babies, so NO lectures on morality from you!

          • sistersoldier

I’m so unimpressed with your lack of ability to move on and your shallow conversation. I know gay people that are a lot more entertaining. RuPaul for instance.

          • Gay Veteran

shallow conversation? that’s ripe coming from someone parroting the bible

          • sistersoldier

I know — I am truly blessed to not only know the word of God but to bring it to remembrance when needed. I wouldn’t want to talk about anything else outside of my love and compassion for friends and family – the prosperity of my people and the love of God which is shed abroad in my heart. He could kill ME a thousand times over and I would raise up singing His praise! Even though He slays me yet will I live! According to His grace and loving kindness which you refuse to accept for yourself. Mercy trumps judgment – you should ask Him for it.

          • Gay Veteran

well, have to check out some other religions too

        • MaxRockatansky33

So how your life was before you were born? Reincarnation? Religion is the opiate for the Masses.

          • sistersoldier

I don’t believe in reincarnation. Jesus Christ was Incarnate – first born from the dead. The way I choose to exercise my freewill is to serve the one and only true God for me. The masses may do as they please as we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. My beliefs and values are a byproduct of my life’s experiences and the sensitivity to see God’s hands in my own affairs. He has delivered me from the enemy and from the hands of death more times than I may testify about to others. He is the air that I breathe and my blessed hope that when I rise from the dead or resurrected from the grave (as we all will when the trumpet sounds) I will be raised in everlasting glory and not everlasting shame. You may do as you please along with the masses that choose to deny His existence.

        But what if there’s purgatory?

    • Dont Mention The War

Some say that instilling the fear of God into people is just a means for those in power to control the uneducated and simple-minded.

Don’t always believe what “some say” learn how to think for yourself.

fear of the Lord is the beginning of,and the road to all truth.Once you have the Lord in your heart and soul, you are safe from the evil inflicted by those in power, and more importantly you are saved! and rejoice, looking forward to the new real world order,ie..heaven on earth, that Christ will rule over and you my friend will be a part of!..
God’s new kingdom on earth minus the wicked and evil ones currently residing here and wicked ones of the past as well as all the evil and therefore unsaved, will be locked up in hell with their daddy Satan for one thousand years..

        • Dont Mention The War

I am very happy with the here and now and have no yearning for a wiser life, or one in the future safe from all evils. I enjoy the challenges of beating evil wherever I come across it, and it would be very boring without it no? 🙂

I know many people who are educated and simple minded.

I know many people who are educated and simple minded that have absolutely know understanding.

          • felicityva

Like knowing the difference between ‘know’ and ‘no’?

          • Jerry C

            Thank you for the correction.

          • gregzimmerman007

I know many people who are educated and simple minded that have absolutely full understanding.

      • Jerry C

Good thing we are not uneducated or simple-minded; nor uneducated and simple-minded. Cheers.

      • gregzimmerman007

        What did u say?

        • gregzimmerman007

Religion is the “opiate” for the masses.

    • El mico

You sound like a housewife that gets beaten up by her husband.

“I know it’s my fault he gets mad but I still love him.”

      Your god should fear me.

      • Paul Patriot

Wow!!! Such arrogance…..your mouth will be stopped by the God of the Bible….promise.

Repent today little person, or you will regret your blasphemous talk I assure you.

        • Dont Mention The War

“Repent today little person, or you will regret your blasphemous talk I assure you.”

Ugh. Really? Comments like this is what gets people of Faith a bad name!

        • El mico

I do not fear what does not exist.

          • Preacher62

And yet by your denials you are hoping to make that which you know exists go away.

        • El mico

Pray to your god, bury your head in the sand, believe the lies you’ve been told.
Religion is for the weak, god is a crutch for people who can’t stand on their own two feet.

      • Preacher62

Eternity is a long time to spend regretting one’s arrogance and pride. Repent and believe the Gospel and you can be saved from yourself.

        • El mico

As opposed to a life time wasted believing lies intended to retard your ability to think for yourself.
          Religion = control.

          • Preacher62

All life is eternal my friend. This earthly portion is merely the first breath. You will live forever in heaven or in hell. Forever is a long time to spend thinking about the opportunities for repentance one has “wasted”. It would take a lot of pride and arrogance to imagine that my thinking should take precedence over God’s commands.

          • El mico

            They aren’t “god’s” commands.
You let yourself be ruled by some rubbish written by arabs thousands of years ago.
Yes the bible was written by arabs. How stupid do you feel now.

          • Preacher62

That “rubbish” was given by God, for the benefit and protection of humanity and only those who are totally self-centered and care nothing for the rest of humanity can ignore that fact. You reject his statutes because you wish to serve yourself and do not care who you have to step on or harm to do so. The only time I feel stupid is when I recall how long it took me to surrender my life to my creator.

          • El mico

            You surrendered yourself to lies.
Believing in an entity doesn’t mean you have a monopoly on morals or empathy.
But you’re right, I have no empathy for stoopid people.

          • Cherie N Jeremy

Preacher62, question for you, adam and eve first 2 on earth right, they had 2 kids cain and able, just asking not to thourough on everything, where did the other people come from, didnt i think one of them died or was killed and the one found a wife, i honestly have no clue. Also was wondering if you can answer this for me, not trying to be a pain just asking for input, how did we get so many different races and skin color. does this all get explained in the bible somewhere.

          • Preacher62

They had two that we are given information about. Given the fact that they were created already sexually mature and given the command to be fruitful and multiply the prospect for numerous offspring is a given. The fact that Adam lived to be 930 yrs old just raises the number of children exponentially. The only way that Cain could have found a wife was that the subsequent procreation was through incest which I find distasteful but that was God’s plan at that time. Adam and Eve were actually brother and sister as they had the same DNA.

Too many suppositions for me to say a lot of definites but by the time Adam died there could have been hundreds of thousands if not millions of people on the earth given the extreme age they all lived to and with no command other than to make babies, so Cain would have had multitudes to choose a wife from.

The races of people came about when God scattered all these people around the world by confusing their language because of the Tower of Babel and as each took up residence in a certain geographical region their skin color and physical attributes changed due to the climate they lived in and the diet they consumed. Those who expose themselves to the sun become darker while those who cover themselves become lighter which is the result of melanin in the skin. There is still only one race of people which is the human race. No everything I wish to know is not explained in the Bible, however everything I NEED to know is explained very well.

I’m the crazy old lady who thinks the stone age is around the corner. I see absolutely no reason not to expect the power grid to go down. Its a rickety mess. What will make it worse is all the power companies outsource the line work. Can’t wait to bucket water out of my spring house. Still puts me ahead of most.

Oh you forgot a possible major nuclear reactor accident, the underground fire in St. Louis, and the mini ice age due to a solar vacation. Good times ahead.

    • K2

Here is why the US power grid wont go down. Say a country named X causes the US grid to fail, US can and will do the same to that country. Fear of retaliation will prevent any country or group from doing this to america. Not just US other major countries dont face this risk too.

      • Jerry C

Unfortunately there have been many attempts to bring down the grid for the last several years and I seriously doubt more attempts will be thwarted.

  • rentslave

In 1977,the Democrats seeded the clouds in Republican areas of NJ after their non-taxpayers had voted in the morning. Most people were stranded at work and failed to vote.As a result, the polls were wrong and Brendan Byrne was re-elected.The vote was an agreed upon referendum to continue to disband the state income tax.So weather modification is nothing new.

      • gregzimmerman007

Zombies occur in real life. FEMA and the Red Cross even prepare for possible Zombie apocalypse. In fact, starving people that are free to move about ACT like zombies. The turn into cannibals and eat human flesh. Some even rip babies from the arms of mothers and devour them. But that’s what starvation alone will do.

Strangely, the government also has a protocol for an alien invasion. All government officials, especially first responders like the police and firefighters have to “know” how to respond to any particular alien if it presents itself as “hostile”.

Blasting it is probably at the top of the list. And don’t think aliens don’t exist. They’ve come more frequently since the atomic blasts of Aug. 6, 1945 over Hiroshima and Aug. 9, 1945 over Nagasaki.

The atomic explosions “woke” them up to our planet more or less, and they have been visiting (again) since (but have been here before).

An “expert” from DARPA who also worked in NASA says that 57 varieties exist, but only about 3 races visit regularly.

  • UCG

You ommitted the one scenario that is actually going to take place. The European beast power will destroy the USA.

    • Harry Merkin

      Definitely a possibility.

  • Barry Goldwater

We actually have the highest probability of geological upheaval and of course the inevitable global collapse of fiat money to worry about the most. Both of these are absolutely going to happen. Volcanic eruption is hard to predict precisely but we have a much better picture of the global economy which is in dire straits and global debt continues to soar into the stratosphere.

    • gregzimmerman007

Nearly all large, volcanic eruptions follow big, local earthquakes. When Mt. Vesuvius in Italy blew and buried the town of Pompeii, it had followed a very large local earthquake.

The American National Debt has been growing exponentially under every president since Ronald Reagan with the exception of Clinton.

The voo-doo economics practiced by Reagan, Bush I, Bush II and Obama has caused this rise, but it has also quashed the recessions early in these presidents’ terms. Likewise, late in all 4 of these presidents time in office, recessions developed.

Despite Clinton’s not using voo-doo economics, the tech bubble did burst on him and those stocks and jobs came crashing down at the end of his presidency.

Presently, the exponential rise is blamed upon Crony Corporatism. Cronyism is the combining of corporations with the gov.’t. It is larger than both the Social services and MIC budgets combined. It is the largest cost to gov.’t and created the MOST debt.

Usually a large, rich corp. (like Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg) gets together with someone in the gov.’t (i.e. like the POTUS, Obama) and discuss “favors”, i.e. “back door deals”. It’s been the staple of gov.’ts for years.

Obama says he needs some extra “campaign” money and Mark says he needs some kickbacks to his “corp.” There’s an agreement and everyone goes there separate ways.

Mark wires in $1 million dollars to an account of Obama’s and Obama writes an EO that benefits Mark and Facebook to the tune of $1 billion dollars. This is a loss of $1 B to the taxpayers and placed on the Debt. Some call these costs as corp. “subsidies” and others as “welfare”. But, one thing’s for sure: it’s CRONYISM.

IT SHOULD BE EASY TO START CONTROLLING OUR DEBT — JUST eliminate all forms of CRONYISM and forbid corporations joining up with government for financing. Naturally, every CORRUPT government official will oppose this ruling, BUT a few good people will speak up for it.

      • Barry Goldwater

Actually debt did increase 37% during the Clinton years and yes he was successful in eliminating the budget deficit for a brief time in the late ’90’s. When revenues are growing while expenses are being cut this can happen. Also I would add that then we didn’t have the low labor participation rate we have now either. Every time a man or woman drops from the labor force who isn’t retirement age we lose his/her GDP contributions. At any rate I don’t think this picture would look the same had we not had a very determined class of budget hawks in the Congress at the time coupled with a President willing to work at reducing the deficit. That was an occurrence I don’t see happening again.
I wonder if you like myself find the unfunded liabilities currently 102 Trillion a far more interesting figure?

  • Robert

Everyone will die of something. Death is a 24/7/365 operation. Dr. David Jeremiah wrote a book entitled What Are You Afraid Of? Take your pick. With many of the scenarios listed above, no amount of prepping will help.

Oh c’mon michael, you say this stuff every year. These threats exist no doubt but it will take years before any of these happen. Telling every single day that these are just around the corner is absurd.

Also the whole world faces these threats, not just the US.

    • K2

I say this because you are unwittingly scaring people. Reading these kind of articles everyday will make people lose hope in living, working hard, enjoying life. Everyday constant doom and gloom is not good for the mind.

      • Sumatra

You should stop being scared and simply be aware then. Michael, and many others who come here every day I’m sure, don’t freak out any more than people do on any other news website. It’s good for making informed decisions as well, not as a source of doom and gloom. If you cannot tolerate it then please- go back to sleep.

        • K2

Informed decisions? This is very bad for making informed decisions. Saying that a collapse/extinction is around the corner every day, every month, every year is bad for making informed decisions,

          • Jerry C

So you’d prefer someone making the prediction after the event happens? Sweet.

          • K2

I prefer someone making predictions once or twice not everysingle day.

      • Harry Merkin

Mmmmm. Nope. If they come here to a site called THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE BLOG, they knew what they were signing up for. This isn’t the lollipop rainbows unicorn Happy Time site. And if they get that freaked out over reading a Blog, they need to have mommy cook them another hot pocket and crawl back in underneath the Speed Racer Comforter on their bed and watch some more cartoons. I know that this planet has problems, but there’s no reason to live in fear, just prepare. Be wise. Try and control your destiny as best you can with a corrupt government in charge. Don’t be a chicken little.

        • K2

Firstly i am not scared. I saying what it can do for other people. Nobody is expecting this site to be a lollipop raimbows unicorn site. And just because it is called the economic collapse blog, doesnt necessarily mean you have to hype up doom and gloom and paint it as being around the corner everyday. M*r*n little.

        1) Good for me

#RunawayAbruptClimateChange which is about to wipe out most if not all complex life on the planet and you missed it in the armageddon!

    • Orac4Prez

Americans generally are not stupid. It is possible to work toward solutions that allow products to be made in economically better ways. Just because old methods have been used doesn’t mean that new solutions cant be found. This would generate jobs in its own right. Or you can give up and wait for a collapse that is not entirely inevitable.

  • Orac4Prez

You could have mentioned the use of CRISPR and bioengineering. A US group claims to have identified a gene causing “religious fundamentalism” and have devised a “therapy” to treat it! They used Magnetic Imaging to identify the area of the brain activated when “God” and religious thoughts emanated and subsequently identified the genes responsible for that region of the brain. Yes, very questionable but the techniques are now relatively inexpensive and open to exploitation from fanatics. The alternative is that some nutter will decide to release a “therapy” for gays, etc. You can be certain the results will be unpredictable and most probably deadly.

    • Jerry C

And of course there’s been no long-term study either, no? I’m certain there will come a time when anyone can modify their DNA to their liking and become “gods”; but if you read the fine print, it’ll say it’s only temporary. No thanks. I’ll wait for the ultimate upgrade when our Lord God & Savior returns.

  • Priszilla

Nice selection. You forgot alien invasion.

    • df NJ

That’s because the reptilian aliens and hybrids are already here controlling the elite’s secret societies and cults so they can bring about a New World Order.

        1. Russia will nuke NYC
        2. There will be much wailing and crying around the world for the loss of this city
        3. Russia will nuke the atmosphere far above central USA.
        4. The EMP created by this giant nuke (10Mt?) will knock out every single electrical station in the USA, in other words, the entire electrical grid will go down
        5. Russia will make an invasion of the USA, but NO ONE will even be aware of it.
        6. Russia will slowly takeover the entire USA.

  • UrineAnalysis

Not buying the ISIS thing. I thought we were talking about a 10% global reduction and I really don’t see ISIS as being capable to that degree. ISIS is funded by the US so who should we really blame for the attacks? I’m not fundamentally religious and I call BS on that one. Personally I got the impression that Michael is discriminatory towards Islamic people.

    • df NJ

I don’t buy anything from ISIS. I only buy products made in America.

  • df NJ

The economy has been terrific since 2010. Every year the banks increase their amount of leverage on their balance sheets. The top 1% own an ever increasing percentage of the World’s total wealth. The people are dying or giving up at fast enough rate that there is no rioting. The people are too stupid and math illiterate to understand what it means that their wage inflation is less than core inflation. By the time the old people figure it out they are no longer a threat. The birth rate is just good enough to have a half a percentage of growth. Too high of growth rate would be bad because people would actually get control over their lives an that would be disruptive and bad. Besides, we do not want people to succeed. What’s the point of having wealth and privilege if everyone has the same things. The whole point of power and privilege is to make other people suffer. Privilege has no meaning without suffering. The economy is doing just fine. We have Goldilocks conditions of no rioting but ever greater concentration of wealth and power. What more could you ever want?

    • Mark

Ya, terrific for the top 1%. The job market is a joke. Best times were under Reagan who by the way was a much superior President than Dumbo Ears Obama. The economy is a fiction being propped by the government for political gain. How about all those 100s of trillions in derivatives at those banks.

      • df NJ

The economy is serving exactly who it is designed to serve. What is your point? It makes no sense. The trillions in derivatives is just another revenue stream for the banks. It’s good business!

        • Mark

Crony capitalism. It is serving the top 1%. Oh I forgot we have 50 million on welfare which has increased in the last 8 years. They also benefit from all the free stuff. A derivative is a gambling chip in a rigged casino called the stock market. This thing is going down. The manipulators may keep it propped for awhile but that won’t last. Enjoy fantasy land while you still can.

          • df NJ

I don’t think “welfare” is as big as problem as it is stated sometimes. Some people include drivers are recipients of welfare because the government subsidizes the construction of highways. People received food stamps and real “welfare” is not as big a percentage as other items in the national budget such as military spending.

I’m not saying giving free money to people who don’t deserve at the expense of other people is a good thing. I think people just distort what “welfare’ means to stoke the base into voting. It’s a “wedge” issue.

I would rather have stronger law enforcement of banking laws. For example, the bank bailouts of 2008, paid for by the tax payers, was equivalent to 250 years of true “welfare” costs per year. Corporate welfare is probably a bigger problem than poor people welfare.

I agree with you on crony capitalism. Apparently, there is no law enforcement against government corruption in this country. I remember growing up in the 70’s and 80’s tons of people went jail all the time for corruption. Today, 1 or 2.

But I disagree with your comment “this thing is going down”. It may be 30 to 50 years before the economy collapses. We had $240 /barrel oil and still we chugged along. We had 9/11 and the banking crisis and still the economy chugs along. People love to work.

          • Mark

I do not believe people love to work. They have to work to live and survive. The opportunities are just not there as they used to be. Globalization, trade policies, and jobs going overseas has crippled the middle class. NAFTA and CAFTA were toxic and has done nothing to improve the economics in the US. More illegals and less good paying jobs. TPP is another losing agenda by the elites that will only eliminate more jobs. As I said the stock market has no bearing on the real economy. LPR and U6 are the real indicators of employment. People make less, have poorer benefits, less savings, and are more in debt. All debt driven with not much wealth being created except fro the top 1%. If it were not for the Fed the Dow would be at 5000/6000. Most real economic indicators are not good. You cannot have a healthy economy with a .1 GDP which is actually most likely in the negative. Also, as I drive throughout the state I have noticed many more For Lease and empty office/business buildings. It has been increasing and that is another sign that the economy is very weak. Watch out for health care or should I say Obama Care. That will eat into family budgets since it has increased on a average of $2500 per household.
If you are retired (Sounds to me like you are retired) then I see your optimism such as my father who is retired and out of the work force. He just does not understand that things have changed and is not the great country is used to be. The definition is called blind optimism. I still believe things will get worse since there is to much debt, lower paying jobs, currency issues, and a corrupt FED. We have been chugging along because we have been able to borrow and kick the can down the road. Once our currency is not the dominant world currency those dollars come home. 1 Trillion has already come home since the US Treasury bought them using ESF.

  • Mad Monkey

It starts with economic collapse and civil war in US and unrest in most countries. Then bio- weapons and after the plague has taken it’s toll then Russia and China EMP nuke the US, at the same time the earthquakes and volcanoes start. It all goes downhill from their.
Matt 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

    • df NJ

You people quote the Bible all the time as if it is some holy sacred text. When I read the Bible I always find the strangest passages. For example, consider this one:

Ezekiel 23:46 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Bring a mob against them and give them over to terror and plunder. 47 The mob will stone them and cut them down with their swords; they will kill their sons and daughters and burn down their houses.”

Look, I get it that acting immorally means you will be punished for your sins. But someone please tell me how a true loving God would advocate the killing of innocent sons and daughters (“kill their sons and daughters”). Plus advocating arson is very dangerous in the city. More innocent people could die if the fire catches (“burn down their houses”).

As I have said many times, the Bible seems to me to be purely fictional words written by men, not God, embroidered in the fabric of the time it was written. You simply cannot read the Bible as literal truth. As metaphor, I get it, morality is important. But that’s about it.

      • Preacher62

The above passage is the perfect one to explain to you the sovereignty of God. All men are born in sin and rebellious against God. God in his grace restrains these men for a time in hopes that they will turn to him. Once it becomes evident that these men will not repent God then “gives them Over” as stated above to their own will and ways. In other words God ceases to restrain man any longer and the results are manifest in the degradation of society that we see taking place around us daily. What you posted above is a picture of what society looks like once God has “given them over”.

        • df NJ

I’m not sure I agree with anything you are saying. I think sin was created by the church so the church would have something to sell. People are not born in sin. People behave in ways that are considered immoral. If you believe in a loving God, then a loving God does not require sovereignty and lordship over others. A loving God would be giving power to His subjects, not taking it away as in sovereignty. A loving God would love his subjects regardless of any immoral behaviors. For what does love mean if it does not mean being in a perpetual state of forgiveness for the one you love. A parent never stops loving their child no matter what that child does. I think most you strict Bible worshipers are being played by and duped by the people who sell salvation. I don’t need to attend church or say certain words in order to be good moral person. God is my witness.

          • Preacher62

You have created a God for yourself in your own image and the results will be catastrophic. Heaven does not exist for those whom God loves, Heaven exists for those who love God.

You seriously need to read & study the book of Job. His friends thought they knew best to. Even Job thought he’d rule more righteous than God, but he remained silent by the end of the book.

          • Gay Veteran

aw yes Job, got to explain why bad things happen to good people.

          • Jerry C

aw yes, there’s that too. Bad things wouldn’t happen if everyone followed the 10 Commandments. Do you believe otherwise? Please let me know how bad things can happen without following them. Of course, let’s leave nature out of the discussion for now (see Job for that one too).

          • Gay Veteran

you don’t need the 10 Commandments, just the Golden Rule which pre-dates the bible.

“…A site called Palatine Hill lists some of the oldest formulations of the Golden Rule in reverse chronological order:

Ancient Egypt.- circa 2000 BCE “Do for one who may do for you, That you may cause him thus to do.” – The Tale of the Eloquent Peasant 109-110….”

          religion exists for 2 reasons:
          (1) man fears death,
          (2) as a means of social control (obey the king or you’ll go to he ll).

Heck, I’ll toss in a third reason:
          (3) as a means for priests and preachers to obtain money and power

          • Preacher62

Religion exists because man would rather create his own tenets of life than follow the statutes of his creator. You have a religion, everyone has a religion. The majority have simply removed God from the throne and placed themselves there instead.

          • Gay Veteran

you have a “god”, everyone has a “god”

Why didn’t you quote the remaining verses?

“48 Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.
49 And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.”

You’re either intellectually dishonest or a liar. God wants good but will allow your evil to fall upon you.

Michael, thank you for being obedient to our Father God. I am thankful for men and woman that take the stand, as you are, to spread the news of things to come. Just as in the days of Noah, scoffers, nay sayers, mockery will be every where. Doing everything in their might to disprove the things of God. Michael, I bless you and your family with God’s mighty hand of protection.

    • df NJ

I would like our almighty God to bless everyone. I do not want to see anyone suffer. I do not think innocent children should be made to suffer by God because of the sins of their parents. I think our Father God would not allow what Michael is suggestion to happen. Too many innocent children in the world would suffer unnecessary evil.

      • Preacher62

They are not suffering because of God. They are suffering because of the sins of their parents which God warned us would happen from the very beginning.

        • df NJ

Then we must have faith in each other not to allow these injustices to happen. Faith in an omnipotent God is easy. Faith in each other is very hard. People behave according to our expectations of them. We have too much World Order soviet style bureaucracy in this country. We have no national identity. I think the American people have lost their sense of pride in their country.

          • Jerry C

You must believe your positive thoughts will bring about a positive world. Keep. On. Dreaming. For the rest of us, we live in the real world.

No need to be irreverent to those who don’t believe.

        • df NJ

I agree. For example, is our faith in God so weak, that removing “In God We Trust” from the money is a big deal? Or the pledge of allegiance. What if the phrase were “I pledge my allegiance, to the flag of the Unites States of America, one nation, under NO god,….” So does the current pledge mean atheists have no liberty and justice? I know the “under God” part is a cold war relic but is our faith in God so weak that we must be irreverent to those who don’t believe? I think it makes the theists look weak to not embrace separation of church and state.

      there is no god

      • df NJ

No need to be irreverent to those who believe. There is no god for you is not the same thing as God for them. You are such a smart guy. I just can’t imagine that you cannot envision the truth in their delusion to see that for them it is real.

I think it is the nature of language. You must have a set of premises you accept as being truth without proof in order to make any meaningful statements in the language. For example, science has the word “time” which is no different than the word “God”. Nobody has ever seen “time” but everyone agrees it exists and is everywhere. Scientists will argue until they are blue in the face that “time” is “real”.

Every has their own personal dogma. Everyone believes their own personal dogma is the only one true dogma and everyone else is delusional on some level. It is the nature of the human mind and language.

        • Harry Merkin

I agree df NJ. I personally don’t believe in God, but I don’t quote anti-god stuff all the time. I wish I would get the same consideration. There’s dozens of churches in my area if I so wished to attend. I don’t come here for preaching, I come here for conversation about the subject matter. God is not the subject matter here despite what preacher62 says. This is a Blog about economic collapse. Not about religion. Why can we not keep it to the subject at hand instead of people injecting religion and then other people attacking those people? You believe in God? Well fine diddly Dandy! How about we talk about economic collapse instead? That would suit me well.

          • Preacher62

The subject matter is that which everyone cares about the most. For me it is God. For you it is apparently God as well. You have spent the majority of your time today fighting against that which you claim does not exist.

          • df NJ

I agree with you completely and enjoyed the level of rationality in your post. However, if you believe in a personal God, there can be no separation between religion and politics. So in many people’s minds, our economic collapse is precisely because of our relationship to God (or lack there of). For me personally, I don’t believe there will be any collapse whatsoever because people love to copulate too much. As long as the copulation continues there will be demand for products and services keeping the economy going. Although my faith in God is strong, my faith in people’s desire to copulate is greater. Nothing will stop the humping monkeys from making more monkeys!

          • Jerry C

Precisely your problem. We are not monkeys and children are a blessing.

In that flood/earthquake that hit Japan a few years ago? Well, there was an elementary school of little children, up in the hills above their home village, who were told to wait, due to the flood. They all sat quietly, as little Japans children will do (not like our African-Americans) and waited, and waited and waited for their mommies to pick them up after school….as they have always done. Nobody came for these little 4, 5 year old children.

Your F’n GOD killed their mommies in the flood to show the Love of Christ. Those little children waited patiently, for their mommies, while your disgusting “god” drowned their mommies for some F’n reason?

The gateway drug, pot, now legalized in most areas is the stepping stone to a massive opioid epidemic killing thousands of Americans. Sound familiar like the 1960’s. One sign of judgment of nation is sorceries. Two meanings, the first one obvious the occult and the second one the word sorceries is derived from the Greek…pharmakeia-pharmacy in english (administer drugs) – properly, drug-related sorcery, like the practice of magical-arts, etc. (A. T. Robertson).

    • Harry Merkin

Actually cigarettes are the first Gateway drug. Then Alcohol. Pot comes in a dismal 3rd. But I get your point. Soon it will be legal in all 50 states. The dumbing down agenda is rolling right along and the masses are falling for it.

Such an important subject; so many inane comments! At least they’re reading the article. There are many good comments also, but some remind me of when I was in grade school back in the ’40s, “Your’re stupid!” “No, you’re stupid!” I’ve found most who dissent have done nothing to educate themselves. There’s no excuse for this, for there are great libraries and the internet. Conrad Burns, ex-senator from Montana, was asked what he thought of the political mess. He said it reminded him of two drunks arguing over the bar tab in the saloon on the Titanic. There may be nothing new under the sun, but the situation our nation/world is facing comes close to it. For me, the only question is what will happen first. Man? or Nature? The tension is so thick, one can almost slice it by moving your arm through the air. Take a really good look at the lost almost expressionless faces out there! Those whom are in the know, may be no better off. The thing that plays over and over in my mind? You are never totally prepared if you have no idea from which direction it comes. Further, even if one is prepared for the correct event are you prepared mentally and could you ever really be prepared mentally having never experienced it.

    ?????
My only answer, sections of the mind will need to shut down and disregard human behavior models. A zombie on auto-pilot. This is what the body does when attacked, think loss of water or food. Back to the expressionless faces, it’s already happening.

It is why the Bible says that women are NOT to preach to men (Timothy 12:2) and to remain SILENT among men since even GOD and Jesus knew women were messed up., They are to give birth, suckle babies and shut the F up. So sayeth the LORD. Women are to OBEY. It says in the Holy Bible ( the WORD of GOD) that women are to Honor and Obey their Husbands or go to Hell. If they don’t……well, ladies, straight to hell for you. This is why my sister, a female, is an atheist, since she said that crap in the bible is nonsense.

i feel that i’m helping to “restrain” lawlessness alot (whether or not i truly am though, is hard to know).

perhaps someone will be out to “get me” in order to “take me out of the way” so that lawlessness can proceed in a bigger and badder way.

I really do hate corruption, crime and collusion, and it is at exorbitant heights within the top tier of all branches of government.

I feel Obama is to blame. And since he’s already taken a life or two to get his way (just like Hitlary), i’ll probably become even more paranoid than i already am.

        • sistersoldier

Faith and fear cannot co-exist. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. If you are helping to restrain lawlessness and you truly hate corruption then you are on the right side of God’s army. I too hate lawlessness and corruption. We do all things to the glory of God and if He is on our side no one can be against us. God bless and keep the faith.

          • Stephen Koch

Everyone experiences FEAR. Even Jesus felt it in the Garden. The difference is, how do we respond? Both cowards and heroes experience it, the difference in in their actions.
Unless you have been faced with a life threatening situation, you have no idea how you will react. You may have theories, but no practical experience.
I wonder how many “Christians” will react when faced with that choice?
I’m a Christian, however, the messages our flocks receive in many churches has not prepared them for the hardships to come, and many will fall away when faced with evil.

          • sistersoldier

I can say that because I have been face to face with death on more than one occasion and that I care to remember; but God always gives us the grace we need for every fearful situation. One may experience momentary/sudden fear or anxiety and there is also a holy fear which warns of danger and an unholy fear which brings torment. We know that perfect love casts out fear and therefore one is either experiencing fear or faith at any given moment. I choose to live by faith so that when fearful moments do arise my prevailing and predominate belief tells me that no matter what happens if God be for me who can be against me and my faith is renewed.

No, I believe we are already in judgement, and its only beginning. This nation is already past the point of return for restoration.

I agree, the storm clouds of judgement are upon us.

If your name is written in the Lambs book of life, you have a hope that this world cannot even begin to attempt to understand.

      • RalphEllison

I don’t believe this country has EVER been under the protection of God. Remember, the Bible tells us than Satan is the God of this world. Our position as a superpower can just as easily be attributed to Lucifer. Our most famous Founding Fathers were Deists who rejected the divinity of Christ.

From slavery and Jim Crow, to the lies to and slaughter of the indigenous Americans, our support of evil men and the overthrow of good and decent leaders all over the world, our government and many business leaders have expressed primarily evil intent. What America has had historically are lots of good and decent people who want to do the right thing. We have always been at spiritual war with those who wish to promote evil, whether they be the elite, or people lynching others, or gang bangers killing people in the streets of our cities.

        • Martin Luther

God has always protected America since its birth. Satan or Lucifer is the evil one trying to destroy America. Please wake up by reading the most important end-time book called the Great Controversy by Ellen G White which contains prophecies and true history of America and the real culprits against USA. A MUST-READ book sold in the millions and translated in more than 60 languages !!!

          • RalphEllison

And exactly why would God protect America? What has our goverment and its elite controllers done in the world that would cause God to protect us? Yes, we have many good people in the United States. But its our government, working on behalf of the 1%, that has had a huge impact in history, very often negative.

            anyway shouldnt be bias >.>….
either way every1 will be up to God’s hands whether He wan to save us or not, our current body will die either way

so whether america will be protected or not, who cares, just spread the word and make use you follow God

    • Bob332

      A Big AMEN!

    • gfmucci

We don’t have to believe there is a God (I do) to simply understand the reality of history. Powerful nations have collapsed for numerous reasons throughout history. We are not exempt. Self-indulgence, excess reliance on others – especially on government – for our welfare, greed and over-confidence are common reasons whether the ruination is from natural causes, wars or economic failure.

  • Pete McLaughlin

    Hi Michael
Don’t worry about artificial intelligence. The computer scientists have not come close to making a self aware computer yet and even if they do it will be like a baby at first as it will be entirely dependent on humans for power and spare parts. There is no reason to believe a newly born AI computer will decide to exterinate the whole human race.

Drones operated by the US military to shoot American in the continental USA are a real worry and likely to happen in the near future.

I would put the rest of the worries in this order.

GMO. The genetic scientists are splicing all sorts of genetic material into our food crops and doing no testing of what will happen when these entirely new life forms are released onto the environment. Will they prove poisonous or pass their poison producing genes onto other plants we depend on or kill off the bees or the birds causing a large shift the species that can exist on this planet? Each new gene splice is an entirely new opportunity to wipe out some species on the planet.

New ice age. The geologic record shows that we are overdue for the next ice age. The current low sunspot cycle could be the start of the decline in global temperatures that begins a new ice age. Food production will suffer.

Peak oil. We have reached peak oil production and that combined with the politicians passing laws and promoting global warming and shutting down the coal mining industry will end farming productivity as we have it now. Without coal mining we will have only nuclear power and the nuclear power plants are an accident waiting to happen. Any widespread failure of the power grid will cause nuclear plants to melt down as they did at Fukushima. How will we fare with no oil for farming on land that is radioactive with cesium, iodine and strontium from multiple nuclear power plant meltdown in the USA.

Cyber war, We have been in cyberwar since the start of the Internet with every high school kid trying to hack every computer system on the planet. Their efforts have only caused the computer security guys to put effective firewalls around their critical equipment. We are safe from cyberwar.

Islamic terrorists are underfunded under educated people who are legitiately pissed of at the USA for keeping puppet governments in place in their countries but they do not have the ability to effectively strike at the USA. You are far more likely to get run over by a Greyhound bus than blown up by an Islamic terrorist.

Nuclear war. War is a favorite pastime of governments to force on people what they do not want or take from them what they are unwilling to give. The USA will fight more wars and eventually they will involve nuclear weapons. I do not know who the opponent will be in our next nuclear war but everyone should have a fallout shelter and a years supply of food to protect the themselves and their families from the outcome.

Civil unrest. Riots happen when people are hungry. Take any of the above disasters that cause a lack of food and you will see riots. They will occur in the cities. So move out of the city and plant a garden.

OK That’s my list of worries.

    Sincerely
    Pete McLaughlin

To discount climate change is not a good idea. While we may bicker about whether it is man-made or not, something is happening to the global climate. The warming of the arctic is causing the release of underground methane into the atmosphere and increasing the greenhouse effect in a vicious cycle. That is happening before our eyes. Not some theory.

Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslim! Stop with the politically correct crap and own up to the truth.

All terrorist events, of late, have one thing in common…all done in the name of the Muslim god allah. When terrorist events start happening and you hear Jesus Christ as the name to which its being done, then and only then can we talk about “Christian terrorism”.

Stop the nonsense and wake up. Between Obama’s fundamental transformation of America (ie, it’s Constitutional destruction) and the bankers’ destruction of the currency in order to create chaos followed by a new world currency, our foundations are crumbling.

This isn’t magic, it’s a concerted long-term effort by evil people to enslave the world population. They’ve been working on this for 100 years or more and now its time for them to pull the plug.

Once you understand this, everything else makes sense. With regard to the earthquakes and such, these are probably the result of science. We’ve spent unbelievable amounts to learn to control climate, weather, and earthquakes, but all the knowledge is kept by the same criminals that have stripped the nation of its wealth (see HAARP).

They’re using our own scientific findings against us. Yes, it’s a conspiracy of the highest order.

  • You are 56 times more likely to be killed by a cop than a terrorist, and it takes more than one nuke to take out the US.

You are actually more in danger of countries like China and Russia nuking the US if the military tries to corner them like a rat. You would think that was unbelievable, but as the Military moves through the South China Sea and Baltic Sea sometimes on the same day, some people are feeling cornered.

The non-man made things we have absolutely no control over… I wouldn’t waste my time worrying about. That is: supervolcanoes, astroids and comments, and hugh earthquakes. I mean why did you move to Idaho if you worry about supervolcanos?

Earthquakes there is some degree of engineering and construction solutions for… they are not especially hazardous if you don’t have a building collapse on you … if it does and it clunks you on the head… you won’t know what hit you.

The man made stuff, nuclear attacks, etc. is scary but given the political climate most likely nothing we can do about those either.

So the truth is… I think worrying about all this stuff all the time can make you SICK! My advice? Live life the best you can, be kind to others, and pray for peace of mind.

  • Deborah Foehr

I have absolute belief in what you have written. I agree global warming is part of a cycle that’s been going on for thousands of years. Of all that you mentioned, my greatest fear is an EMP with which we would all need to fins horses or bicycles to travel and a way to get water and eat which will bring about many of the other items you mentioned like Martial Law and horrendous riots. Ask God to but a bump in his currrent plan, we need more time to prepare.

If we get into an actual nation to nation war. I.E. china or Russia or both versus us. It will be fast and dirty. At least in the start. How or if we survive will have a lot of depends. Depending on starting stance. Depending on our defensive stance. What’s up in operation? What’s down for repair? Maintenance? Would we win? Survive? Good question. We have the greatest military in the world. But we also have really piss poor leadership in the white house. Will the white house and congress shut the f-ck up and let the military do what it does best? Or will it interfere with ineptitude? Ahem, Lyndon Johnson, Ahem. Beyond that, natural sh-t, earthquakes, mega volcanoes. Nothing we can do about them. Except hope they don’t go off all 2012 on us. Political crap, That’s a harder one to fix. With a white house and congress that can’t or won’t support and defend its own nation. What can we do about it? Voting these senators and presidents for that matter really don’t seem to change anything. Different face, same two face lying bullsh-t. When its “offensive” to wave your nations flag, sing the national anthem, say the pledge of allegiance. Call a company or government office and expect to hear English on the other end. I would say we have serious problems right here at home! We can fix some of these issues. But we won’t. Been getting worse and worse over the past 10 years. And no stout opposition that I have seen. Except from the American citizens. Whom of course are being ignored! Good article. Good wake up call for people who may have missed a few of these things.
