Who Tells Us What To Think? Does The Mainstream Media = The Matrix? - Photo by ProperpilotDo you believe that you really think for yourself?  Did you come up with your attitudes, opinions and beliefs on your own, or are they continually being shaped and molded by someone else?  Could it be possible that you and everyone around you is actually hooked into a real life version of “the matrix” that is constantly defining your reality for you?  Sadly, the truth is that almost all of us have willingly hooked ourselves into a colossal media system that literally tells us what to think.  In the United States today, the average American watches 153 hours of television a month.  We also spend huge amounts of time watching movies, surfing the Internet, reading books and magazines, playing video games and listening to music.  Many Americans are so addicted to being “connected” that they will actually become physically uncomfortable if they are at home and there is total silence.  Unfortunately, as I pointed out in a previous article, somewhere around 90 percent of the “information” that we are allowing to be endlessly pumped into our heads is owned by just 6 gigantic media corporations.  So could it be possible that the thousands of hours of “news and entertainment” that you are allowing these gigantic corporations to fill your head with each year is having an effect on you?  Does the mainstream media have more control over you than you ever dreamed possible?  If you want to continue on in blissful ignorance, stop reading now,  but if you want to take “the red pill”, keep on reading because the further down the rabbit hole you go, the stranger that things get.

When you go to work or to school in the morning, what is everyone talking about?

Usually, people are talking about something that they saw on television or that they heard about in the news.

In our society today, the limited interactions that we do have with other people are usually defined by our mutual connection to the media.

The mainstream media literally defines for us what is important and what is not.  If the mainstream media does not talk about something, then it simply does not matter.

I don’t know how many times over the years I have heard someone tell me some version of the following statement: “If that was true we would have heard about it on the news.”

Has anyone ever said something similar to you?

The funny thing is that most of the time I won’t even mention something important that I may have heard in one of my articles unless I can back it up with a “mainstream source”, and I don’t even trust the mainstream media.

I know that the mainstream media often distorts the facts and often tells outright lies, but I regularly link to them because that gives my articles more “credibility” in the eyes of those that are still fully hooked into the matrix.

In a world where the big media corporations have so much power, is there any hope for us?

As long as the big corporations that control the media are dominating and controlling the conversation, is there any chance that there will ever be a mass awakening among the American people?

Our young people seem particularly addicted to being constantly “connected” to the media matrix that is being constructed all around us.  The following is a brief excerpt from a recent article by Daniel Taylor

According to a 2010 LA Times report, young people spend on average 53 hours a week watching TV, playing video games, and sitting at the computer.

Facebook users spend about 15 hours a month on the social networking site.

People are walking – and driving – blindly while texting, sometimes walking into fountains and even falling off cliffs.

Wow – our young people spend more than 200 hours a month connected to the mainstream media?

But we only have about 480 waking hours a month to work with.

If they are being exposed to that amount of continuous propaganda, what hope do our young people have?

In the old days, kids actually played with each other in the streets and adults actually left their homes to interact with one another.

But these days we spend nearly all of our time sitting passively in our homes staring at flickering screens.

Is that a sign of a healthy society?

We were created to be social creatures.  We were designed to love and to be loved.  But these days people “love” their favorite sports teams or they “love” their favorite television shows but we have an increasingly difficult time having real relationships with each other.

Meanwhile, the global elite rely on the mainstream media to keep us distracted and to control the boundaries of public discourse.  Most of the time, the mainstream media focuses on the latest celebrity scandal or the latest dogfights between the Republicans and the Democrats and they systematically ignore many of the more important things that are taking place out there.

Let me just give you one example of how the mainstream media shapes the news.  For decades, there was almost a complete and total media blackout on the Bilderberg Group meetings that happen every year.  Top newspaper executives from the United States would actually attend these meetings, but then their newspapers would not say a single word about them.

If anyone out there did bring up “the Bilderberg Group”, they were dismissed as wacky “conspiracy theorists” and were told that it simply does not exist.

Of course now we all know that it does exist, although the mainstream media in the U.S. still mostly ignores it.  In fact, this has been by design.  The following is what David Rockefeller is alleged to have said during a Bilderberg Group meeting back in 1991…

We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. … It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now much more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.

Even today, many prominent “journalists” in the U.S. mock people when they bring up the Bilderberg Group.  For example, Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC says that he is “way too lazy” to look into the Bilderberg Group and that he “doesn’t know about it, so it must not exist”.

For much more on the connection between the mainstream media and the global elite, please see this article: “Who Runs The World? Solid Proof That A Core Group Of Wealthy Elitists Is Pulling The Strings“.

Instead of telling us what is really going on in the world, the mainstream media keeps us endlessly distracted.  The following are just a few of the headlines that can be found on the front pages of major mainstream news sites right now…

College student creates condom delivery service

Michael Douglas is feeling ‘good’

Golf tournament delayed by kangaroos

Rock ‘n’ roll hamburger experience

Lady Gaga cancels tour, set for surgery

Wow – those are some examples of some really hard-hitting journalism right there.

So why do most Americans continue to fall for this nonsense?

Sadly, part of the reason is because we have become so “dumbed down” as a society.

Recently, the Guardian conducted an evaluation of the reading level of every State of the Union address in U.S. history.  What they found is that Barack Obama’s State of the Union addresses have had the second lowest reading level average in history, and that in general the reading levels of the speeches have been significantly declining over time.

But it is not just our presidents that appear to be getting stupider.  The truth is that our public education system is a total joke at this point.  Many of our high school students are as dumb as a rock, and if you can believe it, 23 percent of all Americans cannot even read beyond a fourth-grade level.

Of course the elite are quite pleased with this, because a stupid public is a public that is easier to dominate.

When a large segment of the population can barely read and is accustomed to letting others do their thinking for them, it becomes easier to lie.

For example, on Thursday Paul Krugman of the New York Times made the following statement

“Growing dependence on government is mostly a myth”

Of course most of you that are reading this know that is a flat-out lie.  The charts in this article clearly show that the number of Americans on food stamps is at an all-time high and the percentage of the population that is on food stamps is at an all-time high.

Back in 1983, less than a third of all Americans lived in a household that got money from the federal government each month,  Now, an all-time high 49 percent of all Americans live in a home where at least one person receives money from the government each month.

For many more stats and charts that demonstrate the stunning growth of government dependence, please see this article and this article.

Sadly, the truth doesn’t seem to matter too much to the media these days.  The mainstream media tends to be incredibly arrogant, and most of the time they don’t even pretend to be “objective” or “neutral” anymore.

Fortunately, more Americans than ever are becoming dissatisfied with the mainstream media and are starting to seek out alternative sources of information.  According to a recent Gallup poll, the level of trust that the American public has in the mainstream media is now at an all-time low.

So perhaps there is hope after all.

What do you think?

  • Louise in MO

I never watch MSM and haven’t for at least 10 years. But I am aware that others do, especially young adults and those with less education. Long ago I quit reading news magazines such as Time and Newsweek. There are few journalists that are unbiased.

Which leaves books and the internet. I read this blog and when the comments become crazy rantings of the same people over and over I quit reading and go on.

So while this article mentions statistics of the outlandish number of hours spent on media, it does not include everyone. I do appreciate your statistics regarding the financial matters in our country.

    • markthetruth

Unless you live in the woods your are exposed to it without realizing it, marketing has gone to a level of what’s called Brain Games. So they got you!!!
There is music and news on in almost all store, fast food, TV’S in the doctors office . Advertising Signs all over. And will even be getting move technical !!!

      the end…

  • markthetruth

What people don’t realize Even if your not the one Watching the TV or Listening to the Radio, and you are close enough to hear it , your brain will subconsciously record it and you will be programmed with their agenda anyway. And they

  • Hambone

I know everyone loves their smart phones, but they drive me nuts. I can’t believe how people have lost the ability to spend a few minutes in silence, alone with their thoughts. Even waiting for a burger, people have to whip out the i-Whatever and do whatever it is they do… I guess they have to tell their facebook friends that they’re waiting on a burger.

I know this article is mostly about the media, but it sure will be easier to program us when we’re all sheep. We’re about 20 years away from Wall-E if our way of life doesn’t implode prior to then.

    Facebook is a plague.

    • markthetruth

      Hopefully Judgement Day come First.

      the end…

      • Hambone

I hear you. God would be most merciful, were that to be the case.

    • Orange Jean

Hambone, I agree… I HATE “smart” phones … and I think facebook etc. are destroying people’s ability to make real friends and connect with people.

      • Ralfine

facebook also gives a platform to keep in touch with friends and family in a non-complicated way.

20 years ago I wrote a letter that took 1-6 weeks to reach my sister or mum, either airmail or surface mail. For pressing news I used the phone and paid a fortune.

Now just a few snippets of daily life on facebook. Usually private message for 121 or in public if it is public anyway.

My friend has family in 3 or 4 continents. Sisters, actually, so very close family. Keeping in touch with them and their children and parents only works well with facebook.

And when you work in different places, you make friends everywhere. And everybody is moving around. So, with really close friends you keep in touch.

But I miss the stamps from countries all over the world. And sometimes the battered envelopes and colorful post cards.

Nowadays I very seldom write a post card. Usually just to my parents.

So, I don’t dismiss facebook flatly. It has its use.

There are other networks like linkedin, where people want to be your friend. People you don’t know, have never met and never had any contact with. THAT is annoying, just like spam and junk mail everywhere else.

        • Mondobeyondo

Facebook – and YouTube as well – have their purposes. They are great for keeping in touch with fiends, I mean friends.

Unfortunately, social media can also be used to watch cat antics for hours. Apparently, many people on YouTube and Facebook are doing this.
Don’t get me wrong. I llke cats.
          Just not 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.

      • Noob

Agreed. People are becoming “friends” on that Facebook data miner, and smartphones. It’s ruining their abilty to make REAL ones. It’s making people mindless zombies that can’t interact with one another.

    • markthetruth

I Hope not !!! Not Ready to HamBone a Sheep, not for me…

      the end…

  • Tex May

RE: The reading level of the President’s State of the Union Address- It isn’t that this or any President is getting stupider than his predecessors, it’s more that the reading and comprehension level of his audience is falling like a stone.

Lack of money for education, face time in front of a tv in lieu of reading books, home schooling and a dumbed down media are taking their toll.

    • Hambone

Home schooling, by in large, is helping us, not hurting us. And “lack of money for education…” Not so much. They have plenty of money — more than my wife and I do. It’s what they p*ss it away on that contributes to the problem.

I know there are exceptions, but the children that are home schooled today will not be tomorrow’s problems.

Problem children are ones whose parents are not involved in their lives. The one thing you can say about home schooled kids is there parents are most definitely involved.

  • northernconservative

Heres a challenge…cancel your t.v. for a month and see how badly addicted you are to watching nothing. I grew up in a household where we had no television unless we went to grandmas. We read, did chores, and God forbid, spoke to each other. People do not NEED t.v. they ars addicted to it.

    • markthetruth

We are addicted but we can’t escape it, it’s everywhere you turn. You can’t stay home isolated all day.

      the end…

      • Orange Jean

Yes, you can (although I can sympathize and think it’s easy to get addicted to checking “what’s up” online, as an alternative to TV and have to watch it).

But I do this normally at least once a week… and I don’t watch TV. I usually stay home on Sunday and do chores, read in the evening. Sometimes I’ll call family or friends on the phone but not always. If I get antsy, I’ll take my trash down to the dump.

I live on a farm, it’s easier there because going into town is a bit of a hassle (although I would not enjoy that kind of isolation every day, and feel the need to escape most other days).

        • Colin

For me, I need TV for the noise it makes. I am mentally disabled and I spend much of my time at my home. I am unable to be comfortable in a house without sound, so I play the TV in the background.

          • Flossie

Colin — Why not radio? Or music?

          • Orange Jean

Everyone is different Colin – so of course you should do whatever works for you.

But I like the suggestion of trying music, if there’s anything you especially like and you find TV annoying also… might want to experiment a bit.

    • Hambone

I’m right there with you. It’s been about 10 years since I had cable. There isn’t much in the airwaves to miss, but it’s been about 6 months since I had even that.

The first week off of cable was brutal. Since then, it’s been great. My life is definitely better without it, as are the lives of my kids.

      • Mondobeyondo

You can only watch/listen to mainstream TMZ-style garbage for so long, before you go insane. Why should I care about what Kim Kardashian does, or who her new boyfriend is? Does Kim pay my bills? No, she doesn’t.

The saddest part is – nearly all major mainstream news media are following in the footsteps of the celebrity media. CNN for example (notice how they got hyped up on the stranded cruise ship fiasco, No running water? Sewage in the cabins? It’s the end of the WOOORRRLDD!!). The three biggies, ABC, CBS and NBC. MSNBC..Fox News. You name it, they have it.

Oh how I wish that asteroid had hit Washington D.C., instead of Russia…

        • EL ZORRO

I am with you, the asteroid should has hit Washington DC, the nest of RATS.

        • DiscouragedOne

I never watch celebrity stuff, who cares about that? I actually wonder about who watches that, if one of my co-workers told me they watch that stuff, I would think they were crazy.

          • Mondobeyondo

Trust me, lots of people do actually watch that stuff.

          • DiscouragedOne

Those are the ones I avoid if I can. 🙂

        • Educated

          You’re all idiots!

      • DiscouragedOne

We would get rid of it if we had to, but not happening until then.

    • Ralfine

When we moved to England, we didn’t have TV for half year or so, and we didn’t have Internet either. At least not at home.

We still don’t have a fixed line broadband. The contract goes 24 months, but the rental contract is 12 months. And cancelling service is difficult.
Even getting a mobile phone contract is difficult if you don’t live here for at least 3 years and get a credit record. So you are open to all kinds of shady deals. First, of course you need to have your phone cracked. So these regulations aimed at protecting the mainstream companies open the doors for the mafia.

I had some Internet at work, and my partner went to the public library to keep in touch with his family.

    • WashingtomusPrime

You are so right! We know we should cancel cable and talk about it often. Getting around to actually doing it is hard. We know its mostly all junk but its hard to quit. I would miss baseball a lot. The total saturation of reality shows has gotten out of control.

For the sake of my children I really feel like I need to get their minds more engaged and get them reading (when they are old enough).

MSM news is really annoying though. Each one puts their own spin on every event but almost never mentions anything important about any event. Bad weather gives them a great excuse to not have to discuss anything substantive for days. It is junk but addictive.

    • Mondobeyondo

There’s nothing worth watching on TV anyway. You aren’t missing much.

      • Educated

    • CentralNYGuy

Northern Conservative. I couldn’t agree more. I haven’t had cable TV in years, and I don’t miss it a bit.

Not to mention the fact that most of what’s on is liberal and immoral garbage anyways.

    • bwoboe1

I grew up without TV too. That’s why I know this false conflict between dems and repubs exist. I just got rid of TV again after getting disgusted with how shallow and trite our civilization has become.

    • PartyOfTwelveBeatsAFullHouse

Read and Educated. After Obama was elected I went offline and without cable for a year. I still feel the same when I hear Atheists, Perverts, Communists, Socialists, Marxists, Corrupt Politicians lying and see them not doing their jobs, nor carrying on the American Way Of Life or Upholding the Constitution. The reason our Country, Our Economy is in the condition it is in is because we have Compromised our Principles that made this once great nation great. It is time to Stop Compromising. There is no room left to compromise.

    • Lea

I’m fine without TV, its my net I can’t do without.

    • Guillotine_ready

14 years of no tv and I wonder why I ever watched that drivel

  • Orange Jean

I DO believe I have the ability to think for myself, although some of that is due to having a very strong cynical streak… and sometimes I have a hard time trusting people.

I stopped watching TV (for the most part) around 1968. Although we had a TV growing up, we were only allowed to watch it rarely… and as an adult, at 62 I have not ever owned a TV… I do watch on rare occasions such as when visiting some friends who want to do that, or when I’m on vacation. Don’t feel I miss it at all.

What happened was — back in 1968 I was too broke, couldn’t afford even a cheap radio or phone either… so I got used to having it quiet in the house, and preferred it. Eventually I got a phone and a little radio, but I go much of the time without listening to either. Of course as a consequence I missed a few “important” events (like Watergate/Nixon getting booted out, man landing on Mars, etc.)… having only heard about them months after.

I do read a lot… but am critical of what I read. I do not necessarily believe everything I read (even before the web existed), media, books or online. I didn’t get a computer until a few years ago… and now I do check out news online (and blogs such as this one). While I do not like the liberal perspective, I do often force myself to check a number of liberal news outlets so whatever I read elsewhere I have a balance and know what people who might disagree with me think.

I don’t like phones much, and although I’m a bit of a loner… I’d much rather talk to people face-to-face… At times get really tired of computers, email etc. and kind of wish I’d never bothered to get either. I do NOT at all understand this obsession most young people have with “devices”, phones etc.

However, there is a price for being like this… as well as thinking for yourself. It does make me a bit odd, and I really don’t fit in much with people … which sometimes is very hard and lonely.

    • Floribama

When did man land on Mars? Holy Mosses, I missed that!

      • Mondobeyondo

      • Orange Jean

oops… that was man on the moon. Must be getting subliminal messages from an old friend of mine who wants to move to Mars!

        • K

Wow Jean, Mars! Your friend has me beat. That would be too remote, even for me..Yes the truth can be lonely. But if the only other choice, is to share your roof with a mindless idiot. I would rather be alone.

          • Orange Jean

Mars doesn’t appeal to me in the least… the funny part though, this friend is in her mid 80s.

    • laja

I understand perfectly and can relate. I don’t even want to have a conversation with anyone unless they can at least give over to the possibility that they are being “mind controlled.” Most don’t even want to think about it. It does make one grieve, however…the fact that we cannot trust those who are suppose to be looking after the best interests of the country and it’s people.

      • peaceangel

HAARP was built for mind control and for launching drones into our back yards.

Orange, Stay true to your core. You sound like you are living a good life.

      • Orange Jean

I try! Thanks for the compliment.

I’ve had some times in my life I would not consider living a good life, but I learned my lesson from that and changed my ways.

Good for you ! Good for us and those around you !

Consider another affect of having no reliable news media. Who do whistle-blowers turn to. You have someone trying to do the right thing, who can they trust. At one time the NY Times or The Washington Post, would have been the answer. But even the Post had their last hurrah with Watergate.. More recently maybe 60 Minutes, when people like Mike Wallace, were still there.. Most websites lack the power and the coverage to get the job done. I really can not think of a single organization. That could be trusted anymore.

    • Ralfine

You have wikileaks. And if you get caught, like Manning, you face life in prison, with some torture, well published to serve as example to the public.

    • markthetruth

Trust yourself , everyone as a keen sense of what’s right or wrong. Look at your surrounding if nobody’s working, or alot of foresale signs then you can judge which one is telling reality.

      the end…

    • Mondobeyondo

It’s sad, but the days of true, honest, hard hitting journalism in the mainstream press are long gone. Mike Wallace was perhaps the last of the “old guard”, people like Edward R. Murrow, “Uncle” Walter Cronkite, and Woodward and Bernstein at the Washington Post. These people weren’t afraid to dig deep and get to the truth. Scott Pelley, Diane Sawyer, etc. – they just aren’t the same.

  • Makati1

Hitler would be having wet dreams if he had the extensive propaganda machine the Us has. Baby is fussy, prop him/her in front of the TV while mom watches ‘Days of our lives’. Kids not in school? Let them watch TV to ‘keep them out of trouble’. Unemployed? Watch all the fascinating ‘reality’ shows. Bored? Turn on the news channels and watch the latest ‘spin’ on current events.

Nowhere in the above activities is any truth, education, or value to be found. Instead are hours upon hours of brainwashing in the form of entertainment. Everything from what to buy, to ‘leaked’ info on the lasted ‘terrorist’ country, to statistics proving that the depression outside is all your imagination, to package O running for the role of President.

We have the greatest source of reality at our fingertips, the internet, and yet we use it as an extension of TV, not a source of info and education. Facebook, etc are just more of the same crap. so sad…

YES YES YES ! We are becoming mindless jelly fish. Too many people are a bunch of media production meetings. Hurricane Sandy mediazed to Superstorm Sandy. The endless repronunciation of words controlled by big media/left wing totalitarians such as “Gonzaga” and “Louisville” sicken me. Think for yourself. Don’t just spit back what you hear. Uniformity of thinking and mind control. DON’T be controlled by the KING, QUEEN and big media. They are humans like you and me. THINK FOR YOURSELF. Vigorous debate. The world was not invented when you were born. There is only ONE GOD. They are taking away your liberty little by little and you do not even realize it. Christi Fidelis !

The media is so desperate, they’re going all out. They even named the recent northeast U.S. snowstorm “Nemo”. It’s okay to name hurricanes, but snowstorms – too much. That ruined the movie “Finding Nemo” for me.

  • Mondobeyondo

Well, after reading through the examples of mainstream media articles listed – one can only assume, that the American news media has met their ideal of journalistic excellence.
It would be funny to watch your local and national jackals and hyenas commenting and laughing about the world today. They even LOOK constipated. Not a surprise really – because they’re all full of……
An open letter to Lady Gaga:
    Dear Lady Gag-me:
I adored your lovely meat dress you wore at the Grandmas, I mean Grammys, about a year or so ago.** The sirloin and porterhouse were especially glamorous. I guess. It was lovely! Wow, my mouth was wide open at the awesomeness – or maybe because ground beef goes for $5 a pound right now. Um.. by the way, Gag-me, did you wear an Armani dress with that sirloin? Why didn’t you wear hose? At least you could have poured gravy over the top, to make it look like a blouse or something.
Okay, anyway, there are millions of your fellow Americans who would love to have a T-bone steak right now. We are willing to rip your dress apart for a decent meal.
    And that ain’t no joke.
** Yes. Lady Gaga really did wear a dress made out of meat a couple of years ago, as an “artistic statement” or something. I am 100 percent serious.

yeah, and do you remember hearing about the teenaged girl wanting to emulate her and she killed her family kitty for a part in the ensemble? Dear God!

  • Syrin

Let’s take a poll of those here (and as a caveat I must confess I don’t watch news on TV or listen to talk radio), BUT, has ANYONE heard of ANY State media members discuss ANY of the following just ONE TIME !?!?!

    1) NDAA
    2) Agenda 21
    3) DHS purchase of 1,600,000,000 rounds of ammo, 2500 armored vehicles, 7000 assault rifles
    4) Currency wars
    5) Posse commitatus
    6) Central banks stock piling gold

etc. I could take this list out to almost 100 topics.

The media is the ENEMY OF AMERICA with the indoctrinating academic system pumping out brain dead indoctrinated unskilled democrat voters (looking at YOU GARY) and the judicial branch. We all know Congress and the White House are enemies of the US

How many have read John Taylor Gatto’s “The Underground History of American Education?” If you had, your kids would be homeschooled right now.

    • peaceangel

I don’t get the part about right wing left wing in the other reply from your comment, but as I have been researching the 100 things you could have mentioned since the late 60’s I can tell you this stuff is all over the internet but it is much easier to get info that is not gov. propaganda on a daily basis you can more easily get the truth about the news from BBC or Canada or the Guardian in the UK. There are tens of millions of sites on Agenda 21 but to get it you at least need to find the bill and read the chapters creating the New World Order, Wiki had an amazing synopsis of how the two Nazi’s who brought this agenda to America 200 years ago became tied to our Founding Fathers through the higher ups in the Free Masons and then how and when the Illuminati got involved and the same with the Bilderburg group and then the Skull and Bonesmen and how they got to Bohemian Grove. You can learn that the media is owned and operated by this group to include Fox news. All of them are linked to the machine that runs the world and is rapidly creating the NWO. So, no you will not see these things in the mainstream news. I have emailed them for years trying to get them to cover it.

This week a new interview appeared in the Canada Free Press with a DHS whistleblower who has now done three interviews with one reporter since before the election. He puts a name to the ages old plan to collapse the US economy and before he or she is dead and the article gets pulled down, check it out. The name of the plan is Operation Thunderdome and the snitch is saying that it is happening to fulfill Agenda 21 and to create a NWO and to depopulate the world by 90%. All the laws have been passed to create all of this and to herd us right into the Halliburton Army staffed Fema concentration camps. People are already disappearing into the camps. check out the story of the gov. abduction of Brandon Raub and all the other cases at the Rutherford Institute. The NDAA act has 400 things that make you a terrorist to include collecting rain water in a barrel, holding prayer meetings at home, stockpiling anything is a terrorist act and all these and the other 397 reasons can allow Homeland Security to abduct you and hold you forever without a right to a trial or a lawyer or a phone call. Lots of people are in jail already from this list of terrorist acts. Obama has raided lots of mom and pop fruit and vege stands with SWAT teams to haul off ppl who grow food for sale without using the poisonous GMO seeds.

The plan was to get the nation arguing about liberal or conservative, black or white or whatever and get us absorbed into electronics like Michael says and to track us through those devices which they can do now. You should check out HAARP and the scientist who was killed while filming conspiracy theory with Jesse Ventura. They has already killed all the other scientists and he had been living in hiding since they killed all his colleagues and while in Alaska and just after meeting Jesse in a barn in the middle of nowhere he was killed in front of his wife as they were leaving the state.

I might be inclined to think your comment (interesting) was a form of paranoia – except for the fact of some of the things I’ve been seeing lately while doing online research myself.

Ever do any research on Laurel Canyon? I recently came across some very similar information about that place, that ties a lot of the “leaders” in the “hippy movement” to some very bizzare things – similar to what you’re saying.

Also, my understanding is that Obama’s science “Czar” (John Holdren) is very much keen on the idea of wiping out 90% of the population via forced birth control/force abortions.

The skill of the Media outlets is to find Personalities that have what it takes to get people to trust them, and to watch their station or channel for them and not the news . They can then charm you and at the same time deliver their agenda.

These issues have been discussed, but in very favorable terms, or dismissive of anything sinister taking place.
I’ve also heard several commentators on Fox News say they agree with the murder of Anwar whats his names son and on the same terms as Robert Gibbs who said he was killed due to bad parenting. Disgusting!

Internet access has finally been restored to the humble Mondo abode. No more sessions at the public library, at least for now. But anyway…

Why do most Americans fall for this nonsense? Is it because they don’t know any better? Come on. We’re smarter than that. We have brains. Use them. Stop thinking with your liver and kidneys. Some of us even went to Harvard. I wasn’t one of them. I assume you weren’t either.

Yes, the media are telling us what to think and believe. Time was, the media would tell the people the truth. That went out the door around 1847 or so. 1852 at the latest. I don’t go to CNN for real news. Unless you consider Kim Kardahian’s latest exploits “hard hitting news”. The huge paradox in all this, is that you have to go to foreign sources to get U.S. news. How bizarre is that?!

And now’s the time to put “Firestarter” by the rock band Prodigy into the MP3 playlist. Man, I need some relief!

    • K

Why do most Americans fall for this nonsense? Mondo, herd mentality, go along to get along. It actually takes a little courage, to stand up and say something is wrong. I believe 80% of the population lacks such courage.

Remember aliens and UFOs? They are mostly found and seen in America. 🙂

    • Orange Jean

Huh? You’re in England and you say that?? Are you forgetting: the Loch Ness monster, fairy rings, selkie, Puck, crop circles (which one study claimed 90% of which are found in southern England, not far from Stonehedge), mists of Avalon, etc. etc. etc.

That notwithstanding – there are certainly places in the US that lend themselves to thinking maybe you’re seeing a UFO. Back around 1969, I went with a friend on a long drive from San Francisco to LA, wee hours…. and we saw for most of the way what appeared to be lights to the right of us following. It couldn’t have been cars, because for quite a bit of the time we were on Rt 1 (Pacific Coast highway) and the only thing to the right of us would have been the ocean. I’ve always suspected some kind of UFO, but I am also kind of skeptical too.

  • jox

Good article Michael. Look to a nice example of media manipulation: Bahrain. The west media was cheering and encouraging the ‘arab spring’ revolutions. Because it was interesting for the colonial powers, obviously, that even funneled arms and money to the ‘good’ arabs, the ‘freedom fighters’. OK, it continues today in Syria. But, suddenly the wave reached Bahrain. Wait! USA and Saudis have strategic interest there. Thus Bahrain disappeared from the media, no freedom fighters, no Arab spring, no one single word about what is happening there, the repression, detentions, no headlines calling for ‘regime change’. It’s sad, but mainstream manipulate our perception of reality, and some people control mainstream media.

  • tom

Michael, maybe you could do a piece on Edward Bernays, the father of modern day propaganda. You are correct, we are continuously bombarded with things and information to keep us from paying attention. Keep up the good work!

  • Colin

This week, I heard a story about the remaining shares of NBC being sold to Comcast. The actual choices that are available to the average American are growing smaller with each year. Someday, I feel possibly that the media will be controlled by one corporation.

  • The media, if you pay attention to it, most definitely dictates what you think about. How you think about it is up to you. Sites and blogs like this one not controlled by huge corporations do a lot to help people discern truth from propaganda.

  • Jodi

One of my favorite articles by far. It is true, people don’t believe anything until they hear it in the news. I have had several people in my life say that to me. They think you are crazy when you say something that isn’t repeated in the news. I actually told somebody once that I don’t watch the news any more because I don’t trust the news and they said to me “So who’s running your life?” That goes to show you that the media really does run peoples lives and we should all be scared to hear somebody say that.

    • jaded

wow, did you tell them you’re running your own life? like any normal human being does? people are stupid. fat and stupid. especially in america.

      • Jodi

Yes I did tell them I run my life and think for myself. I agree, people are lazy and stupid.

        • jaded

I would be very concerned for that person. I hope it’s not anyone close!

Most Americans have become COMPLETLEY addicted to TV. TV is a wonderful tool to program people. TV “news” has become a COMPLETE and UTTER joke! TV news is just a tool used to from the opinions of Americans. Americans eat up the lies put out by the mainstream media. Most have been dumbed down SO much that they can’t think for two seconds realizing that this “news” is made for a reason other than making “news” Luckily more and more Americans are realizing what TV really is. Thanks to the free and open internet you are no longer subject to one side of an arguement. You can see all sides of an arguement on the internet. Bassicly meaning that you’re not subject to a sides lies. However the great awakening of America is happening slowley. Most people still use the internet for pointless things such as the data mining “Facebook” but the great awakening is slowley but surley happening faster every day.

TURN OFF YOUR TV, and start doing things that are enjoyable and good for you such as spending quality time with your family, studying, and exersising.

Hours of TV iv’e watched today: 0

Hours of TV i’ve watched this week: 0
Hours of TV i’ve watched this year: 0

    • Mondobeyondo

If you have to watch over the air free TV, watch PBS. Television where you can actually learn stuff History, culture, and the mating habits of the giant squid, for starters.,

If you want to continue being miserable and broke, perhaps ending up like Charlie Sheen, curled up in a bathroom in the fetal position while screaming “Still WINNING!!” – then continue watching mainstream TV. I’d suggest you watch shows such as “Two Broke Girls”, especially if you are a poverty-stricken female.. You’ll be in good company, believe me. (hey, at least they got the name right!!)

Looks like something pressed my humor button… man, I really needed that.

    • jaded

Agreed, quitting watching tv is so easy once you realised how pointless it is. You gain nothing from it, watch a few sitcoms and kill a few hours, once they are over you’re back in reality in realise your life is still the same. Nothing on tv depicts real life anyway, all it is is an escape from people’s crappy lives, in turn they’re making it worse.

I do think for myself, which sets me apart from the masses. I do however, think that a lot of people know deep down inside, they are just too afraid to come out and say, “The emperor has no clothes,” for fear of ridicule.
Yes, the media does dictate society. Not only does it tell the people what to think, it tells them what to wear, buy, and do; keeping their minds so distracted and busy, and filling it with mainstream propaganda that they no longer have to reason. And you are right, if they don’t hear or see it on tv, they don’t believe it. I remember when evolution was just a theory. Now, Jesus is a myth, and there are E.T.s everywhere. I do not believe in religion, but I do believe in GOD as my creator, and Jesus as my savior. By todays standards, according to mainstream media, that makes me crazy. How much more ridiculous is it to believe that “we the people,” capable of love and intelligence, evolved from one random atom exploding in a vast nothingness. Or that, extraterrestrial beings came to earth many years ago, and planted us. Don’t think for a minute, that once they get the guns, they won’t come after the bibles, torahs, and qurans.
If not for the internet, I would not have known the truth. Yes, there is a lot of misinformation out there. But if you can reason, and exercise your logic, you can see thru it. The internet is a thorn in “their” side, though. Look how it is ridiculed. There is a commercial on tv now that blatantly ridicules the internet. Not that it isn’t “controlled” either. In all my years at researching the net, No one can tell me that Google hasn’t been neutered.
Oh, and I still watch tv, but for different reasons. I see the news as fiction, and movies as reality. If you pay attention, to the “programming,” you can see the agendas…crystal clear.
I pray for the world, that they can awaken from the deep sleep of deceit that has been cast over them. There is power in prayer, real power. “They” know this. If you will, take a moment and pray for the world. What can it hurt?

  • Patriot Alice

I was raised with no television in a country that was heavily influenced by religion, even the kind of music we were allowed to listen on the radio was strickly controlled..”The Beattle records had to be sold underground”…The point is, no matter where you go, the authorities (Religious, Political, Parental, Friends, etc..) will try their best to endoctrinate you into their beliefs…After 50 years in the USA, I have listened to so many different opinions about Religion, Politics, Personal, etc. (Everyone with supportive reasons for their point of view), it’s hard to decide who is right. One thing I’m sure of: I am right all of the time….

  • As a printer working for a newspaper for over 40 years, I have been exposed to a large amount of news stories over the years.

Yes, I think the news is tightly controlled and has been for a very long time by the wire services. The city editor does most of the censorship of news at a newspaper.
What a newspaper does that other media do not?
Obits. You seldom hear about someone local dying on any other media but a newspaper.
Legals. No other media displays what is going on in local government more than a newspaper does.
Television and radio are likely to be limited by time. The very nature of both broadcast news makes it difficult to add in the mundane news.
Coupons. In an era of the internet, no one thinks how expensive it is to print coupons on a common ink jet printer, but it is. Typically, if a newspaper is on the ball, they will have a day set up to print coupons for use in local businesses. Those coupons are usually good for at least a week and sometimes a month. They can save you thousands of dollars a year at the grocery store alone.
You are right about the dumbing down of the American Public. But it is occurring in our schools and it is deliberate. Any one that disrupts a classroom is likely to be drugged with a class one drug.

The trouble is we are inconvenienced in our schools by leadership types. So the followers must not be distressted!
I feel that any intelligent parent would not put a child in a public school system in today’s world.

If those kids that died recently in Connecticut were home schooled it would not have happened. If those teachers had armed security it might not have happened. If the doctor that was attempting to dumb down the shooter had been on the ball it might not have happened. A trained policeman would have aimed his pistol and shot him in the head.
Training a child to think for himself means the child will be an individual person for the rest of his or her life.
The newspaper is a thing of the past that is hanging on. Until newspapers get live news from real local writers, they will decline and probably be lost forever.
Part of the problem with live people reporters is it is expensive. Wire service news is cheap. Legal fees to keep a newspaper out of trouble are expensive and have nothing to do with justice in a court room. It is about money. And if someone that advertises in a newspaper frequently with lots of money is offended then that is trouble. Such as an Automobile dealer doesn’t want to see articles about defective automobiles in the paper. It is easier to write positive articles about how the new cars are great!

Until they go back to giving reasonable prices for local retailers and small businesses, they have lost the reason for being. Money talks. It has considerable influence over what is in a local news broadcast or a published newspaper.
And that is the fly in the ointment. Big money talks. The rest of us have to listen one way or another.
The internet has been the biggest expansion of real news that anyone has seen in many a year. And yes, it is possible to see news from places and newspapers all over the globe on-line. And yes, they put a different slant on the news overseas.

  • Darin

I fuly agree Michael. Another outstanding article. I would add that I get frustrated with “conservative”talk radio as well. Although they do put out SOME good alternative info., they mainly just scratch the surface and are “yes men” for the Repubs. I am so glad I found this website and some others that get to the root of our problems in America and the world. I would love to hear some of these talk show hosts speak to some of these cultural issues that this blog does as well as the affects of free trade and the global elite agenda, unfortunately I won’t hold my breath.

    • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

  • Strangewalk

The avoidance of having our values, opinions and consciousness shaped by the pervasive media dominated environment is something anyone desiring to be independent and in control of his own destiny needs to be extremely careful about. At least in the USA we still have the allowance to reject indoctrination if we try, but in many places this is not an option. I lived in China for 8 years and I know this is true. Over there, people have to a large extent lost the ability to form opinions and beliefs because for so long they have been told what their opinions and beliefs are. It is a nation with a billion and a half brains, but only one mind.

  • VegasBob

It’s hopeless. Most people actually know when they are being lied to, but they prefer hearing the lies to hearing the truth.

People would rather believe in Bernanke’s phony economic recovery that’s been ginned up by printing trillion$ of counterfeit electronic dollars than think about the fact that this nation has been in a state of profound economic and societal decline for the last 40+ years.

Wasn’t it Hitler who said that the bigger the lie, the more believable it becomes?

The WAR ON KIDS is a documentary film I just saw on TV and for all of you who NEVER watch TV it is soooooo sad how many amazing docs you miss and it is sad any kid does not have a chance to grow up watching the animal channel and discovery channel and so many channels that can teach all of us soooo much,

But the radiation from TV is a bad thing and the smart TV’s like the smart meters will be able to track and tape you 24/7. This doc lays out the plan for the past four decades to make your kids stupid and to brainwash them in public schools and to make sure they cannot speak or read or spell English and to make sure you do not know history or math or science and it shows how there is a huge push today to create as many criminals of our kids before they get out of school as possible. This documentary is done by teachers at every level and it is now standard practice if a kid at any age breaks a “rule” then they do not go to the principal’s office for a tongue lashing. The teacher has to fill out a report while the office calls in the police and w/o you there or being informed the police scare the crap out of your kid and where possible these kids are arrested and stuck with criminal convictions for life.

This is the same reason Obama wants to start all kids out in pre-school and why the gov wants kids in school all year around. So their brainwashing plan can start earlier. Every parent needs to see this doc whether you have a TV or not. You need to see how evil this plan is and how organized and well planned it all is. You and your kids are being brainwashed and soon HAARP can just do it with a flip of a switch from Alaska.

One day back in the early 80s I tried to talk to my two kids about something and they were so into the TV they ignored me and didn’t respond to my questions. The next day while they were in school I took the TV loaded it in the back of my truck drove to the dump and threw it in the dump. When the kids got home from school they were devastated. I told them do your homework and if you get board read a book. They hated me and wined for about two weeks. We went without a TV for about five years. Today both of them praise me for doing what I did. My son is a MD my daughter is a well adjusted wife and wonderful mother with three well adjusted kids. They can think for themselves and are not swayed by the liberal media. All of my six grandchildren have sense of well being that goes along with well adjusted thinking.

    • Orange Jean

Great idea you had there and glad to hear you had the guts to stick with it.

In a weird sort of way I did the opposite, which also worked in a way. When my son was about 12 I went to college full time for the first time. I didn’t have money, we didn’t have TV or computer… and my kid was really keen on getting a computer. What he ended up doing was – going to the dump and found parts to make himself a computer (this would be the computer dump at the university). In the process at least he got some in-depth knowledge.

Something very important to consider in this matrix theory is the role money plays into this. These media outlets are not publicly funded and do have investors. Those investors want a return on there money.
Emotional viewers boost ratings and that boost sponsorship and increased pricing for ads.
I think the real matrix is money.

Quick question: Who watched the Grammys on TV last Sunday?

What do you mean, you didn’t watch it? It was all over ABC. “The 58th Grammy Awards, or Whatever Number It Was, Sunday night on ABC!” – “Big name pop stars, performing at the Grammys Sunday night! DON’T MISS IT!!” The higher-ups at the networks actually want us to watch their garbage. Perhaps because it’s better than watching grass grow – and they need the ratings boost.

No, I didn’t watch the entire show. Just bits and pieces. I managed to catch the segment where Kelly Clarkson’s dress changed into several different designs. That was pretty cool. And the very end, where LL Cool J started rapping with Chuck D of Public Enemy – and this meteorite came crashing through the auditorium……

America, everyone is entitled to an opinion, and it is certainly useful
to have a few when a pollster shows up. But these are opinions of a
quite different order from eighteenth- or nineteenth-century opinions.
It is probably more accurate to call them emotions rather than opinions,
which would account for the fact that they change from week to week, as
    the pollsters tell us.
What is happening here is that television
is altering the meaning of ‘being informed’ by creating a species of
information that might properly be called disinformation. I am using
this world almost in the precise sense in which it is used by spies in
the CIA or KGB. Disinformation does not mean false information. It means
misleading information–misplace, irrelevant, fragmented or superficial
information–information that creates the illusion of knowing something
but which in fact leads one away from knowing.

    In saying
this, I do not mean to imply that television news deliberately aims to
deprive Americans of a coherent, contextual understanding of their
world. I mean to say that when news is packaged as entertainment, that
is the inevitable result. And in saying that the television news show
entertains but does not inform, I am saying something far more serious
than that we are being deprived of authentic information. I am saying we
are losing our sense of what it means to be well informed.
Ignorance is always correctable. But what shall we do if we take ignorance to be knowledge?”

It is like a Matrix. Satan is controlling the evil and putting evil thoughts and actions by utilizing our inherit sinful natures. God is doing battle, bringing more people to Him with the power of the Holy Spirit. We are being programmed and everything is preordained and planned. We are living in the grand scheme of things to come. This life and God’s plans are bigger and greater than our plans. God’s plans are better for of also. Just think, no more stupid T.V. shows, no more death, no more tears, no more pollution. I can’t wait to travel to other galaxies, eat manna, and drink pure water. We are going to feast and have unlimited joy in heaven. Jesus was a funny guy. He cracked jokes and had fun. God is full of joy. In His presence is fullness of JOY! It may be time to peel off this old earthly tent of a body and get our heaven suits on.

Haven’t watched television since 2009. My phone isn’t smart it only rings, If someone calls I may answer it or you can leave a message. I have a computer only because I need information and follow this and other blogs. I could not tell you what the weather will be today I just look outside and there it is. Not a thing I can do about it anyway. Why speculate. Someone asked me the other day about the weather and I told him I didn’t know what the weather was going to do. His response was that he had 300 channels and still didn’t know! I don’t want to live in the “Cloud” but business is moving that way. SAAS (software as a service) plugged into other virtual applications. You become tied to them, your life revolves around them and you can’t escape. I would like to come off the GRID and will grow a garden this summer. Can food and live a healthier life. Facebook friends are not really my friends unless they are family I just want to keep in touch with. Everyone I work with talks about this or that television show EVERY DAY and think it is strange that I don’t watch TV. I don’t think i’ve missed a thing. Not addicted to TV or Drugs or Alcohol or Media and feel like I will make it.

  • Of course I am on the internet for hours and hours each day: Reading sites like yours!!! I hope and pray the internet stays free. You have hyper-links in all of your articles, and when those are added into reading your articles, it extends the time. So… for some of us, at least, the statistics are NOT bad because we have access to information the MSM does NOT make available. I cannot think of a better use of my time – it allows me to not only be aware, but informs important decisions in my life and allows me some measure of preparation for the future, however little I AM able to prepare when monolithic entities are controlling our lives.

You want to know where this really all started?
It was a TV show in the 1980’s-90’s called “A Current Affair”. Yes, I actually did watch it.

THAT started the whole celeb news culture.
After that – “Entertainment Tonight”, “Geraldo”, “The Jerry Springer Show”… and it took off.

And now, we are addicted to it. So much so, that former legitimate news sources have fallen hook, line and sinker for it.

Does anyone else remember this gray-haired dude named Phil Donahue? I used to watch his show after coming home from college, and before doing my homework for the evening. He was cool, until Oprah Winfrey’s show took off and sent his show to the woodchipper. Then along came Jerry Springer, and Geraldo… Donahue was at one time, the number one talk show in the country. Sure, some of it was mindless fluff, but he had a lot of serious people/topics as well. These days, there is no mention of him anywhere, except perhaps on Wikipedia. Persona non grata??

  • This why they are called sheeple.

  • “…allowing these gigantic corporations to fill your head…” with TV/video/video games is where the problem lies. It’s nothing more but mind control.
A TIME TO STAND by Oliver is a must read nowadays as good Americans finally see what can be done to fight tyranny. I recommend it cause it shows how we are being controlled by fear.
They go after our children to have them accustomed to violence & to have the govt. be the ‘hero’ to protect them as they grow older.

I have more faith in the young people of this nation than the author. I realize many people are hopeless, but many have lost faith and have little respect for those in charge of the country. My children know the news is not very informative and that it pushes an agenda that does not reflect the world in which they live. Their two favorite shows are Doomsday Preppers and the Walking Dead.
Also, the power elite like Krugman are not stupid, they are just using propaganda on the Dr. Phil/Oprah society that doesn’t want anything negative in their lives. As Jack Nicholson said in a Few Good Men, “you can’t handle the truth”.
When the U.S. society collapses it will be a minority of people who will rebuild a new way of life. We can, and should, only focus our efforts on that minority with will the rebuild. Will you be Scarlet O’Hara and Rhett Butler, or will you be a casualty?

When you speak iLL of TV you become an enemy of the people. People love TV and will hate your behind for not going in lockstep with them. FOX and BET is the Demon cancer of the mind. It’s almost incurable except the red pill is available to those not in a terminal state. The bible is available and the # 1cure for Anything but people hate Jesus more than they love TV.

  • Scott Mollett

I will post this article to Facebook and hundreds will see it. They might not all read it but some will. I also play online video games and preach to the kids about the peril we face as a society. Use their own info transmission systems against them.

No, I don’t think there’s much hope because the dummies keep re-electing the same scum politicians and a lot of these scoundrel, NWO, lackey, sell-out politicians have been around for decades. If these dummies haven’t gotten it by now, they’ll never get it.
I myself don’t know how many times I’ve tried to explain that the UNFEDERAL RESERVE and Banksters control the USA and Deliberately crashed the USA and European economies in 2008.
The same apples when I try to explain why USA Politicians kiss the behinds of ILLEGAL ALIENS and pursue the LATINO-HISPANIC demographic that Demands that USA Borders remain unsecured and USA immigration laws remain unenforced and made a complete mockery of and why our politicians have allowed LA RAZA, MEChA and other such nonprofits, foundations to exist that are pushing RECONQUISTA-AZTLAN. The other reason for all this (outside of Biz-Corp Greed) is the NORTH AMERICAN UNION to MERGE: Canada, the USA and Mexico together.
I mentioned that I didn’t make up this NAU. LOU DOBBS mentioned it on CN before he got canned. Jerome Corsi talked about it and VICENTE FOX admitted this on the Larry King show.
I also warned that we are headed towards a GLOBAL GOVERNMENT that wants the abolitian of ALL Sovereign nations and merge them into blocs, I warn about AGENDA 21-ICLEI, an upcoming CASHLESS, GLOBAL Monitary System (with MICROCHIPPED People) and a drastically reduced population and I’ve mentioned the GEORGIA GUIDESTONES in Elberton, Georiga to back this up as well as Henry Kissinger and a couple of others as well as that 10:10 You Tube video.

  • Rex

Somebody mentioned the “saturation” of reality shows. I noticed that there seemed to be a common theme with quite a few of them and that seems to be that there’s a very short deadline and everybody has to practically kill themselves to get it done in such a short time frame…It’s kind of like a hamster on the wheel constantly told to go faster, faster, faster, do more, do more, do more, so I feel we’re being conditioned to expect more of this in the work world.

  • Leslie Garrett

Anyone who studies history knows that civilizations rise and fall, rise and fall. That is how the game is played, and this one is a classic. When the Second World War was done Americans had enough oil under their own land to last for a very long time at current levels of consumption and increase, but they decided to rearrange the social order. They put women into the work force, where they had never been before. This trippled energy use, because new industries had to be created to feed the people and to care for the young and old, to replace tasks done better at home. Most of the new jobs went to the wives and daughters of men who already had good jobs, so the gulf between rich and poor, black and white grew rapidly, and obesity became rampant. Now Americans are forced to take the raw materials that they need to run this voracious machine by force from the rest of the world, particularly from the “developing” world.

  • LifeTraveller

Why do you think they call it “programming”. .

  • Looking up

I just have to say that I love your articles. I have relatives that think I am nuts to read things like this, but as you said in this article, it is backed up my ‘mainstream’ media that they choose to ignore. God Bless you, and keep the articles coming….the world needs more non-mainstream people like you to keep all the facts in check.

  • Drover

What you are referring to is our societal dependance on “bread and circuses.”

We canceled cable TV 10 years ago. We canceled newspapers and magazines about the same time. We do not watch the latest movie, nor rent or purchase movies for quite a number of years as well.

Does this make us dumb and boring? Quite the opposite. In addition to hard work, we read alternative news, entertain through some old fashioned means such as providing our own music, board games (some great designer games out there), and personal development–bring on a hefty learning curve.

Does this keep us out of what the rest of the country or world is doing? No. If the powers that be want everyone to know or do something, the information will be blasted via all the media outlets. Those who are tuned in to these venues will be their best promoters and let everyone else know. It usually doesn’t take and entire day to find something out.

I recently read that the difference between us and the Russians, was that when they read or heard something via the media they knew it was a lie. We think it is the truth.

  • DiscouragedOne

I think it is good to disconnect from all such things at least once in a while, like when on vacation.

  • Well, as a CRITICAL-THINKING person who last owned a TV in 1988 (!), the article does NOT apply to ME….have NEVER ‘missed’ it either…

  • El Bastardo

Good article; although most of us reading this have got to know that this may largely be pissing in the wind?

We all see it everyday; our “youth” are far more interested in laying on their fat hydrogenated arses dreaming about which fake actress they want to imaginarily impregnate rather than work at anything. Who can blame them really? Look at their shining examples of parents. Hard to argue when your “poverty” stricken dad has Uncle Sam buying you lobster and beer every month.

Someday, as if this is a good thing, we hope the economy crashes; as if this is our glorious savior. Really? We are praying for our own loss in order to survive?

We have to wish for fiscal death and insolvency; for freedom and living to thrive. Sad times indeed; but hey, at least Shenaynay and her fifteen bastards can get food stamps in between beating random tax payers on their way to work when the ingrates should be in publicly funded school? Too bad none of their fathers are around; since Shenaynay and friends in family court would rather imprison them then let them teach their own kids.

See, that is a Communist’s silver lining!

    • communism has never existed….cuba/russia/china…were/are all elitist dictatorships,
that is not communism….wake up chump 😉

  • It is crazy how people care more about what a movie star does throughout their day than what is going on in the United States. It seems that we are going to be heading into some difficult times and most people will be going in blind.

  • Cody
