33 Shocking Facts Which Show How Badly The Economy Has Tanked Since Obama Became President

Obama Follow MeBarack Obama has been running around the country taking credit for an “economic recovery”, but the truth is that things have not gotten better under Obama.  Compared to when he first took office, a smaller percentage of the working age population is employed, the quality of our jobs has declined substantially and the middle class has been absolutely shredded.  If we are really in the middle of an “economic recovery”, why is the homeownership rate the lowest that it has been in 18 years?  Why has the number of Americans on food stamps increased by nearly 50 percent while Obama has been in the White House?  Why has the national debt gotten more than 6 trillion dollars larger during the Obama era?  Obama should not be “taking credit” for anything when it comes to the economy.  In fact, he should be deeply apologizing to the American people.

And of course Obama is being delusional if he thinks that he is actually “running the economy”.  The Federal Reserve has far more power over the U.S. economy and the U.S. financial system than he does.  But the mainstream media loves to fixate on the presidency, so presidents always get far too much credit or far too much blame for economic conditions.

But if you do want to focus on “the change” that has taken place since Barack Obama entered the White House, there is no way in the world that you can claim that things have actually gotten better during that time frame.  The cold, hard reality of the matter is that the U.S. economy has been steadily declining for over a decade, and this decline has continued while Obama has been living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

It is getting very tiring listening to Obama supporters try to claim that Obama has improved the economy.  That is a false claim that is not even remotely close to reality.  The following are 33 shocking facts which show how badly the U.S. economy has tanked since Obama became president…

#1 When Barack Obama entered the White House, 60.6 percent of working age Americans had a job.  Today, only 58.7 percent of working age Americans have a job.

#2 Since Obama has been president, seven out of every eight jobs that have been “created” in the U.S. economy have been part-time jobs.

#3 The number of full-time workers in the United States is still nearly 6 million below the old record that was set back in 2007.

#4 It is hard to believe, but an astounding 53 percent of all American workers now make less than $30,000 a year.

#5 40 percent of all workers in the United States actually make less than what a full-time minimum wage worker made back in 1968.

#6 When the Obama era began, the average duration of unemployment in this country was 19.8 weeks.  Today, it is 36.6 weeks.

#7 During the first four years of Obama, the number of Americans “not in the labor force” soared by an astounding 8,332,000.  That far exceeds any previous four year total.

#8 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the middle class is taking home a smaller share of the overall income pie than has ever been recorded before.

#9 When Obama was elected, the homeownership rate in the United States was 67.5 percent.  Today, it is 65.0 percent.  That is the lowest that it has been in 18 years.

#10 When Obama entered the White House, the mortgage delinquency rate was 7.85 percent.  Today, it is 9.72 percent.

#11 In 2008, the U.S. trade deficit with China was 268 billion dollars.  Last year, it was 315 billion dollars.

#12 When Obama first became president, 12.5 million Americans had manufacturing jobs.  Today, only 11.9 million Americans have manufacturing jobs.

#13 Median household income in America has fallen for four consecutive years.  Overall, it has declined by over $4000 during that time span.

#14 The poverty rate has shot up to 16.1 percent.  That is actually higher than when the War on Poverty began in 1965.

#15 During Obama’s first term, the number of Americans on food stamps increased by an average of about 11,000 per day.

#16 When Barack Obama entered the White House, there were about 32 million Americans on food stamps.  Today, there are more than 47 million Americans on food stamps.

#17 At this point, more than a million public school students in the United States are homeless.  This is the first time that has ever happened in our history.  That number has risen by 57 percent since the 2006-2007 school year.

#18 When Barack Obama took office, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline was $1.85.  Today, it is $3.53.

#19 Electricity bills in the United States have risen faster than the overall rate of inflation for five years in a row.

#20 Health insurance costs have risen by 29 percent since Barack Obama became president, and Obamacare is going to make things far worse.

#21 The United States has fallen in the global economic competitiveness rankings compiled by the World Economic Forum for four years in a row.

#22 According to economist Tim Kane, the following is how the number of startup jobs per 1000 Americans breaks down by presidential administration

Bush Sr.: 11.3

Clinton: 11.2

Bush Jr.: 10.8

Obama: 7.8

#23 In 2008, that total amount of student loan debt in this country was 440 billion dollars.  At this point, it has shot up to about a trillion dollars.

#24 According to one recent survey, 76 percent of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.

#25 During Obama’s first term, the number of Americans collecting federal disability insurance rose by more than 18 percent.

#26 The total amount of money that the federal government gives directly to the American people has grown by 32 percent since Barack Obama became president.

#27 According to the Survey of Income and Program Participation conducted by the U.S. Census, well over 100 million Americans are enrolled in at least one welfare program run by the federal government.

#28 As I wrote about the other day, American households are now receiving more money directly from the federal government than they are paying to the government in taxes.

#29 Under Barack Obama, the velocity of money (a very important indicator of economic health) has plunged to a post-World War II low.

#30 At the end of 2008, the Federal Reserve held $475.9 billion worth of U.S. Treasury bonds.  Today, Fed holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds have skyrocketed past the 2 trillion dollar mark.

#31 When Barack Obama was first elected, the U.S. debt to GDP ratio was under 70 percent.  Today, it is up to 101 percent.

#32 During Obama’s first term, the federal government accumulated more new debt than it did under the first 42 U.S presidents combined.

#33 When you break it down, the amount of new debt accumulated by the U.S. government during Obama’s first term comes to approximately $50,521 for every single household in the United States.  Are you able to pay your share?

  • MichaelfromTheEconomicCollapse

Yes, I know that the economy declined under Bush too.

But nobody out there should be making the claim that things have “gotten better” under Obama.

    Michael

    • Stezie

      Agreed.

People tend to forget that when a country declines, especially with regards to its economy, the decline itself is exponential in nature; that is, it starts slowly and greatly accelerates at some point. The decline started in the 70’s, but it has progressed slowly up until 2008 (roughly) when it entered the exponential phase. That’s why things seem much worse now in a relatively short period of time compared to before, even though the economy had declined since then.

Obama has not done much to alleviate this, but, honestly, I don’t think anything can be done at this point.

      • Mudpie

Nationalized healthcare is the death knell for this nation. Obama knew what he was doing when he drove the stake in. Though I agree we have been in decline for a while. The something for nothing instinct took hold. And so people have voted themselves a living now for decades.

        • Syrin

I cannot stress this enough. As bad as ANYONE thinks this is going to be, it will be FAR FAR worse. Physicians are right now leaving medicine like the choppers fleeing Saigon, and Obamacare is still in its infancy, EVERY step of medical care will be delayed weeks to months so tumors will be twice as large, ejection fractions 10-20% lower, etc. So just understand this is the end of quality healthcare for an entire generation if not longer. THEN it has the dubious distinction of SIMULTANEOUSLY DESTROYING a full sixth of the economy if not more as it impacts EVERY single business in America. Al Qaida couldn’t do as much damage to this country as Obamacare will. Historians will look back at this as the single worst piece of legislation in the history of the world.

          • Jeremy

Agreed. I read over 300 pages of this bill, and it is utterly incomprehensible. With its references to other law for substantive statutory language (portions of other statutes are basically copied and pasted into this trainwreck) it will leave many people wondering where the government got the authority to give “granny the painpill” and levy that new tax.
The point is that Obamacare was never about health care, regardless of what the liberal dogooders assert. It was about control, plain and simple, with maximum discretion given to Obama’s army of bureaucrats. 18,000 new IRS agents hired, for example.
This legislation was crafted out of hell with a degree of malevolence and stupidity that is difficult to fathom. How a free nation could do this to itself is incomprehensible, except when you consider the moral, cultural, spiritual and ethical decay that has eaten at this society in the last 50-60 years.

          • Gay Veteran

It was all about giving insurance companies guaranteed profits.

          • JasonD

But but but we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it!

          • Mudpie

Agreed. Saw the other night on Greta that the people who are handling our private records will not even undergo background checks.

One can only assume that Obama and his administration hate our guts.

        • MeMadMax

He’s so worthless he cant even implement his own “stake” on time, or even make a good effort at it… How can people think the government is good at “taking care of us” when it can’t even self-destruct itself right ^.^ >_>

        • sharonsj

It’s not nationalized health care because it makes everyone buy private health insurance (a Republican idea, by the way). We have been falling apart for decades, so there is plenty of blame to go around.

          • Silence Dogood

Gah! who let the moonbat in.
And the whole intent to make it collapse into single payer?
Yes it’s nationalization of healthcare and and it’s 100% wholey owned by the democratic party.

          • Gay Veteran

and insurance companies LOVE IT, get a clue

          • SNuss

Actually, the real aim of ObamaCare is to destroy the private medical insurance industry, by making private insurance unaffordable. Then, the Obama regime (or its successor) will be “forced” to create a “single-payer” insurance system, giving government the unprecedented authority on how we will live our lives.

        • Gay Veteran

Nationalized healthcare??? You mean everyone being forced to buy insurance from a corporation.

      • BonusGift

I keep repeating it because it bears repeating: “Economic collapse is a process not an event.” That noted, under the usurper Barry Soetoro’s regime it has been accelerating, and we may now see more ‘events’ than before.

      • Xjandin

Exactly right, this started when Nixon removed silver/gold from our currency, making it pure fiat currency (NOT money). Historically, no fiat currency lasts more than 40-50 years – which is where we are now.

    • markthetruth

Remember when Bush took over Clinton so called Surplus (internet bubble) disappear in Bush

      • Gay Veteran

while I despise Clinton, Bush the Stoopid did massively cut taxes for the rich and got us into 2 wars costing over $7 TRILLION

        • Gary Freeman

Bush didn’t add $7 trillion. Check your facts. When Bush Sr. took office, there was virtually no debt. When he left, we were $1 trillion in debt. When Clinton left, we were $5 trillion in debt, meaning Clinton added $4 trillion. It was near $10 trillion when Bush Jr. left. Obama has run it up to nearly $17 trillion. And that war Obama promised to end? He took them from Iraq and sent them other places. And more troops died under Obama than they did under Bush.

          • Gay Veteran

            1. was talking about George W. Bush (Bush the Stoopid) as opposed to George H.W. Bush (Bush the Elder).
            2. Obama is just as much a war-monger as Bush the Stoopid.
            3. No, more troops have not died under Obama than Bush. Our losses in Iraq alone under Bush was over 4000

        • frank96740

@Gay – Cutting TAXES put more $$ into the consumer pockets. I for one was HAPPY to have the extra $$ during Bush years and did my part to put the $$ back into circulation. Cutting spending at the Federal level is SELDOM a bad idea since every time a Dem gets in office, spending goes UP! Our country is currently a WELFARE country thanks to Obama. Even YOU should be able to figure THAT out!

          • Gay Veteran

“…Cutting spending at the Federal level is SELDOM a bad idea since every time a Dem gets in office, spending goes UP!….”

Bush cut taxes but did NOT cut spending. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have cost us $TRILLIONS. Or did you not notice???????

          • frank96740

I’m assuming you are pulling an OBAMA and blaming the wars on BUSH. Typical – wars are like hurricanes, unwanted and NOT planed but when pushed into a corner we handle the problem(s). Obama has divided our country from the beginning – he has run us into the ground, ruined our reputation overseas and stomped on the economy as well as pushed his race baiting agenda. Alas his personal wealth is doing just fine…HE and his family will be set for life when we finally are rid of him.. How much more destruction can he rain upon us?

          • Gay Veteran

I’m blaming the Iraq war on Bush, Republicans AND Democrats. I blame Obama for the worthless “surge” in Afghanistan, Libya, and now Syria.

“…wars are like hurricanes, unwanted and NOT planed….”

Totally untrue. The war in Iraq was planned before Bush even got in office, which is why they were ready to go immediately after 9/11.

“…Obama has divided our country from the beginning – he has run us into the ground, ruined our reputation overseas and stomped on the economy….”

Totally true, AND just like Bush.

“…How much more destruction can he rain upon us?”
The destruction will continue long after he leaves office, unless you think there is actually some difference between Demolicans and Repubucrats.

          • Gay Veteran

            I fixed your sentence:

Cutting spending at the Federal level is SELDOM a bad idea since every time a REPUB gets in office, spending goes UP!

        • Miranda Grant

So when Obama allowed the Bush tax cuts to expire…my money was sucked up by the Obama administration to pay for more welfare dollars and Obamacare! Gay Veteran…I’m even willing to bet your service was in the Army. They didn’t employ you for your intelligence!

          • Gay Veteran

well Miranda cow, I guess you just want this country to go bankrupt giving billionaires tax cuts

          • Miranda Grant

As I said…if you had intelligence you’d be aware that the rich top 10 percent of taxpayers paid over 70% of the total amount collected in federal income taxes. I guess if you had the same business sense as they…you’d sing a different tune! Of course…I’d suspect that if you have a job…you wouldn’t suggest to your employer s/he pay more…least you want to keep your job versus running your mouth!

          • Gay Veteran

We can have concentrated wealth in the hands of a few or we can have democracy. But we cannot have both. (Justice Louis Brandeis)

          • Miranda Grant

Oh…now I get it…you are in favor of stealing from those who’ve earned their money by calling it democracy! How pathetic that you should think my paycheck is your paycheck! Get a job earn your own way!

          • Gay Veteran

hey Miranda, are you a billionaire? no? they the quote does not concern you

          • Miranda Grant

Then don’t respond to me by putting the progressive liberals comments in a response to me! Obviously common sense never panned out for Brandeis nor you!

          • Gay Veteran

sorry to inform you but you will NEVER be a billionaire, so quit licking the corporate boot

          • Miranda Grant

Seriously…your comments have little intelligence to them so please quit referring to your pipe dream of being someone who isn’t! I get it…you thought they were yelling “rain” when instead they yelled “brain.” You must’ve gone for shelter! Tell you mommy it’s time for a refund for having a child that is brain dead!

          • Gay Veteran

oh my, I am so hurt. pathetic

          • Miranda Grant

Then you are a weak little peckerhead that lacks any ability to formulate a clear and logical argument. Get over your ignorance!

          • Gay Veteran

wow, too dense to understand sarcasm

          • Miranda Grant

LMAO…but not too dense to see stupidity in people like you! None the less…you’re dismissed now. Your name calling, ignorant comments, and obvious lack of intelligent conversation don’t warrant as much of my attention now that your stupidity has been exposed.

          • Gay Veteran

in other words, being incapable of putting forth an intelligent comment you’re going to run home to mommie

          • Miranda Grant

Very weak….VERY weak comeback little man….keep trying though! You really do need to remember the quote about those who are best to remain quiet and thought to be a fool than to speak and remove all doubt! I have no doubt about your ignorance! Keep talking!

          • Gay Veteran

well miranduh, you’ve already proved your character

          • Miranda Grant

LOL…you like me…don’t you?! The pathetically stupid always resort to name calling!

          • Gay Veteran

            sigh, yawn

          • Miranda Grant

            Go back to bed…you’re dismissed!

          • SNuss

In case you haven’t noticed, Obama’s economic advisor, Jeffery Immelt, CEO of GE, avoided any income taxes for his company. And should we mention all the Obama cronies getting money for “green” projects? And when they failed, the taxpayers got stuck with the bill, not the cronies.
Reducing corporate taxes to a more mainstream level WILL improve the economy, by attracting overseas monies.

          • Gay Veteran

no, corporations have armies of lobbyists and accountants to avoid the tax code. then they pay off the politicians to have an amnesty so they can bring in their foreign profits

          • skeeteril

            Alright already…..
You “people” ganging up on Gay Vet are trying so hard to jump on him, that you are now totally senseless. You obviously do not read what he writes, or you wouldn’t be so ignorant with your own replies.

Gay Vet, I admire your resolve and patience dealing with these poor saps.

Or maybe I have wandered into a discussion from the Developmentally Disabled…….

Now, let the bashing continue, and might as well start bashing me, even though you don’t know a single thing about me.

One more thing, I will not be returning to this link, so don’t ask me any questions.

          • Miranda Grant

Well there you go…you’re very own cheerleading section! Then again…it COULD be Gay Vet has another SN….=)

        • Ed Taylor

Tax cuts for the rich. We all got those tax refund checks that Bush sent out & we are not all “rich.”
Did you send your check back? Didn’t think so.
National debt rose by $4.96 trillion under Bush. If you want to get close to your $7 trillion mark, look no further than Obama, since he was the only president to approach your imaginary number, and did it in 4 1/2 years.

          • Gay Veteran

hey Ed, there’s this thing called Google, check out “Iraq war cost estimates”
And yes Obama has increased the debt much more than Bush the Stoopid.

        • Gstruble

I suppose Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein had NOTHING to do with that, huh?

          • Gay Veteran

            Saddam? NO
Bin Laden? Bush had the chance to kill him in the Tora Bora mountains in the first weeks after 9/11. NO excuse for us to be in Afghanistan 10 years later

          • crevisbro

Clinton had a chance to kill bin laden b4 9/11 ever happened

          • Gay Veteran

now why would he do that? you don’t think the elites have profited greatly from 9/11? you don’t think the government has seized more and more power?

        • Sandy Caman

Bush was trying to starve the dummycrat beasts into spending cuts. Instead, they spend MORE.

          • Gay Veteran

oh I’m sorry, did Bush the Stoopid (W) veto some spending bills that we aren’t aware of???

        • mike

Hasn’t Obama spent more in 4 yrs than Bush in 8! All this fighting amongst ourselves is exactly what the politicians want! WHile we bicker they continue to destroy our liberties! How about this both parties suck which is why a 2 party system is a nightmare! We should have term limits for every politician!

      • Daniel Kunkle

That surplus came from Social Security revenues which was spent to cover the deficit and I imagine it’s still going on. That money I put into SS isn’t going to me, it’s paying for my Grandma. I’m not banking on having SS at all.

        • stevejbrown50

Wrong, the liberals spent that money years ago!

        • Charles Batchelor

It was cause by raiding Social Security and adding it’s surplus to the budget. It’s one of the reasons Social Security if going broke.

          • Tomk777

Any program with any accumulated cash has been raided and stolen, the current generation of public officials are just plain crooks.

      • Mock

exactly the decline had already started under Clinton. Clinton did NOT create that surplus his economic policies took advantage of a strong economy he harvested the profits to do the things he did and ultimately caused the recession

      • therealtruth

Hardly the end…Clinton had a surplus because of a GOP House and Senate and he WORKED WITH SPEAKER GINGRICH. During GWB yrs, he had a Democratic House and Senate when they decided to deregulate the housing market, therefore you got the bubble bust. So you can’t praise Clinton w/o giving praise to the GOP and you can’t blame GWB w/o blaming the Dems for the bust. BTW, I feel a lot of people have forgotten that America was attacked on her own soil and GWB did the only thing that was possible and that was to defend her according the law and his sworn oath.

        • Wil

There was no surplus under Clinton. You cannot have a surplus if the national debt rises every year of your term. You cannot count social security in the surplus.

          • Mark Cline

He had a balanced budget, but there was no surplus.

          • stevejbrown50

The balanced budget was due to republican control of both houses of congress, not because of Clinton.

          • jww

By this logic, the current economic problems are also due to congress rather than the president, right?

          • jaxon64

wrong. The house repeatedly submitted budgets over the first 4 years of O’s residency at the white house. The Dem controlled Senate and President repeatedly killed the budgets.
In fact, the current administration “ran” the government for 4 years with NO budget at all. The would spend and spend–then ask congress to raise the “debt ceiling–aka spending ability–some more or threaten that the govt would shut down.
Of course then they and the complicit MSM would blame the Repub controlled house on causing a near shut down of govt services and rile up all of those who almost missed getting their monthly checks—crazy, upside down world…I sometimes feel like I’m in “bizarro” world

          • IvanRider

I’ve been saying that too. The surplus was a lie. Congress made more money than it projected to. But the national debt was still through the ceiling. So when you factor that in, the whole surplus rhetoric was a big juicy lie designed to pass entitlement attitudes to the public to rationalize more spending.

        • Gay Veteran

“…I feel a lot of people have forgotten that America was attacked on her own soil and GWB did the only thing that was possible and that was to defend her according the law and his sworn oath.”
Right, by launching a war of aggression against Iraq. Bush is a war criminal.

          • JHLIII

Your Dem leaders endorsed and voted to engage in both wars.

          • Gay Veteran

You partially told the truth this time, but I’m not a democrat

          • patricia666

My Uncle Elijah recently got a new blue BMW X5 M SUV by working part time online… check my source www.KEP2.com

          • Jamie Huff

Shut up! You are an idiot! Congress authorized that war and the so called non-existent WMD were just used in Syria. I am sick of you stupid liberal BS spouting fools blaming Bush for everything. He is long gone and you Obama-loving fools sound like jackasses every time you open your mouths.

          • Gay Veteran

used in Syria?!?!?!? what have you been huffing Jamie? It was all a LIE to justify our war of aggression against Iraq. But I guess you’ll swallow any lie so long as it’s a republican saying it.

          • Jamie Huff

What have you been huffing? Seen the news lately? Over 1200 people including children were gassed in Syria. Like most liberals you are a fool,

          • Gay Veteran

moron, when did I deny the gas attack? which was probably done by the al Qaeda terrorists.
and only a true idiot thinks that WMDs were somehow magically transferred from Iraq to Syria

          • Sandy Caman

How do you think chemical weapons (WMD) ended up in Syrra? Was it the Russians, the Iranians? Paritally. A lot of it was Saddam Hussein’s transplanted weapons. Now, Obama is pretending he doesn’t know where they came from because otherwise, he’d have to admit that Bush was right about WMDs being in Iraq.

          • Gay Veteran

yeah, Iraqi WMD went to Syria. That is pure BS and Bush is still a war criminal.
I’ve seen many stories that the chemical weapons used by the Syrian terrorists/rebels came from SAUDI ARABIA

          • Tomk777

They came from Iraq, I just got done talking to two Syrians who are now in the states, they were moved to Syria, from Iraq a few months after the start of the war. You believe what you want, I KNOW the truth.

          • Gay Veteran

            quit spreading LIES

          • Charles Batchelor

Syria, Iran, and Iraq have had chemical weapons since the 60’s. The reason GWB believed there were WMD’s in Iraq was the same reason that Clinton though there were a few years before that, bad intell. That intell was used by Clinton to missile strike Iraq before GWB used it to justify the invasion of Iraq. As far as I’m concerned, the only reason we needed was the fact that Iraq was not abiding by the 1st Gulf Wars’ Cease fire agreement 13 years before. My only real complaint with Clinton is that we should not have waited so long.

          • PicayuneBill

FINALLY someone that remembers that it was a CEASE FIRE and not and end to hostilities. Clinton though had three separate chances to prevent 9/11 by killing Bin Laden but would not give the kill order and it came back on us all.

          • PicayuneBill

Please look at history. There was only 1 Gulf war not two. There was a CEASE FIRE not an end to hostilities. Bush could have gone back to war at any of the times Hussein violated those 23 U.N. resolutions. They chose to make an excuse to feed to the people but in reality no excuse was ever needed. There never was an end to the war.

        • Michael Castillo

Clinton also benefited from a change in policy by the elder Bush because he saw that the deficit was about to get worse and took budgetary measures to improve the governments fiscal health. Clinton got the credit for some of what was due to the elder George Bush.

        • mike

I agree with the attack on our soil! For all Bush’s short-comings he had it right when dealing with MUslims and their support for world-wide terrorism! It’s too bad he became soft at the end until the surge!

      • William C. Schneider

Because of lack of regulation that the clinton administration was asked to look into MANY times and didn’t. the SEC ALLOWED these “Ghost” companies simply by not doing their job. The Clinton “surplus” was a farce of “creative accounting”.

      • Ronald W. Jones

LOL! Incorrect! The internet bubble disappeared because on May 18, 1998 Bill Clinton’s DOJ sued Microsoft in an antitrust law suit.

        THE END……………

    • Carlos Danger

Egypt certainly hasn’t gotten better under Obama.

    • usaok59

Libs often make the comment that the economy is better since Obama came into office. They totally believe it! Morons.

  • Bill

Sorry Michael, this is all old news. The only news I want to hear is about the progress of his impeachment.

    • Syrin

Impeachment? The guy needs to be tried for treason, tried for taking office without Constitutional eligibility, then face the highest level of punishment for those crimes. You can start with his speech where he admits to being born in Kenya, or the bio HE released stating he was born in Kenya or the numerous speeches Moochelle has given stating he was born in Kenya.

      • davidmpark

There’s plenty of evidence for multiple convictions.

        • http://americandictators.blogspot.com/ WarriorClass III

Yes, there is. The question you have to ask yourself then is, why isn’t this being done?

          • Bill

Because corruption pervades all three branches.

      • sharonsj

Sorry, but until you impeach Bush and Cheney for lying us into war and revealing the name of a CIA operative–which are actual impeachable offenses–talking about impeaching Obama is nonsense.

        • Bill

Please don’t be partial–they are all crooks
Blog blog blog and help change America.

        • Silence Dogood

Yea, Bush and Cheney controlled all of the industrialized world’s intelligence services and everyone in the democratic party that agreed and voted for it. *yawn*
You are aware there was a vote? Aren’t you?
You are aware that everything Clinton’s regime and the democratic party said about al Qaeda agreed with B&C right? Aren’t you?
You are aware that you’re a LIVer moonbat, right?

          • Gay Veteran

right, and Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and ties to al Qaeda! Eyeroll

          • Silence Dogood

Oh, perhaps you were too stoned thru the 80s to remember ol Saddam using them on the Kurds.
Perhaps you were too blinded by your love of kings and despots to remember that the 8 yr Clinton regime sure did claim that Iraq had em.
            eyeroll. LIVer

          • Gay Veteran

            Clinton was a scumbag.
Stop defending our war of aggression against Iraq. We destroyed that country and are responsible for 100,000 to 1 MILLION people dying, and millions being made refugees. It was one of the most EVIL acts we have ever done.

          • sandy

WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT DIED ON 9-11-2000, I GUESS THEY DONT MATTER HUH?

          • Gay Veteran

hell Sandy, what does 9/11/01 (not 2000) have to do with Iraq?
            get a clue

          • Silence Dogood

Please show me what I said that you think is defending the war.
I was defending Bush against a mouth foamer. Now you can yell at me for that because Bush is a progressive (one of you) and I loathed his presidency.

          • Gay Veteran

hey Dog, read your own comments. You certainly sounded like you support Bush.
Bush a progressive? LOL, boy conservatives LOVED them some Bush back in day (won’t find many to admit it today though)

          • Gay Veteran

I guess Iraq was going to use their mighty navy to come attack us. Or use their 1000s of ICBMs. Oh wait, we’re the ones with those weapons.
Anyone STILL defending our war of aggression has learned NOTHING over the past 12 years. Bush (and now Obama) use the fear of terrorism to scare the American people into supporting insane policies which allow the government to seize more and more power, and to shred the Bill of Rights.

          • sandy

reemember 9-11-2000 , WE WERE ATTACKED ON OUR OWN SOIL, WHAT WAS BUSH TO DO ,? IGNORE IT? DONT THINK SO. SO STOP KNOCKING BUSH FOR THE WAR. PLEASE.

          • Hank Kingsley

Bush the moron then attacked Iraq instead of the real people behind it: the government of Saudi Arabia.

Yes, both the Obozo and Bush the moron bowed profusely when they met king Saud. Talk about treason!

Manning goes to jail but the chief warmongers and torturers and the drone king are still out free.

          • Gay Veteran

sandy needs to get a clue, Bush & Cheney are war criminals. Stop buying into the Big Government LIES about Iraq (and Iran, and now Syria)

          • Silence Dogood

It funny how you notice they

‘use the fear of terrorism to scare the American people’
and yet, you’ll still foam at the mouth for leftists policies which are ALLL based on that.

          • Gay Veteran

PROOF please, show me where I supported leftist policies.
btw, there is no left/right or Democrat/Republican, they are all creatures of the top 0.1% that rule this country

          • Silence Dogood

Dude, I’ve argued with you several times about your support for idiotic leftist policies. Not always under this name, but please don’t play stupid with me.

          • Gay Veteran

oh, so now you’re also hiding your identity, figures. and of course you are incapable of supporting your statements. so quit lying

          • Silence Dogood

I’m sorry, is ‘Gay Veteran’ the one you use to sign legal paperwork? Was was that ol Karl Marx quote? something like accuse others of that which you do.
I’ll conceed your point only cuz I really don’t give a shizzle to go back searching thru everywhere I comment looking for your sorry self.
But please dont act like you dont support leftism, pervert.

          • Gay Veteran

I’m sorry, is “Silence Dogwood” the one you use to sign legal paperwork?

            “I’ll conceed your point”
            game, set ,match
Support leftism? LOL, because anything you don’t agree with is leftist

          • Silence Dogood

Oh, and welcome to the republican party.

          • Gay Veteran

            ???
the 2 parties are 2 sides of the same coin

          • Gay Veteran

new name? why? get banned from this site?

          • Silence Dogood

Surely you know that not too long ago there wasn’t a register confirm system in place on this site. No, I never got banned from this site.
I mean hell, if a foaming at the mouth moonbat like Gary2 can spout his drivel (redistribute now!) without getting banned, I doubt i’m going to.

          • Gay Veteran

so why are you hiding behind a new name?

          • Silence Dogood

Well golly gee idiot, perhaps it was taken.
Yep, LIVer. You’re too stupid to vote.

          • Gay Veteran

well golly gee, you’re too stupid to reproduce

          • Silence Dogood

BWAAAHAHAHAAA!!!!! I cannot believe a sodomite just said that to me. LMFAO!!!!
Uh yea, YOU’RE the one doing that wrong…
            HAHAHAHA!!
            BEST POST ALL DAY. Thx.

          • Gay Veteran

hopefully your genes aren’t in the gene pool. though that would explain why so much is wrong with this country

          • Silence Dogood

            You’re doing gymnastics now dummy.

          • Silence Dogood

            So, just a question.
Was Thomas Jefferson this big mighty neo-con, because our first Islamist war was under him and they weren’t ICBMing us or using their mighty navy to come attack us any more than they are today?

          • Gay Veteran

gee, Barbary pirates directly attacking U.S. ships. And how does that justify our war of aggression against Iraq?
Were the Iraqis going to sail their aircraft carrier Saddam Hussein into the Chesapeake Bay and attack DC? Were they going to launch their ICBMs?
Anyone still supporting our war of aggression against Iraq at this late date is a FOOL and has learned NOTHING over the past 12 years. But go ahead and give up your rights when Big Government shouts “terrorists!”

          • Silence Dogood

“gee, Barbary pirates directly attacking U.S. ships. ”
Of course, that’s not what you implied and typical of a leftists. move the goal post and feign ignorance.
The Barbary pirates amounted to an expensive escapade with Somali pirates.
And please don’t play stupid with that ‘war of aggression’ BS. There were some odd 18 reasons, not the least of which was saddam constantly firing on our planes and his incessant violations of the terms of the cease fire.
The FOOL is the one that wanted to keep the dictator in power and continue to spend billions per year, with no end in sight.

          • Gay Veteran

18 reasons? ROFLOL, you suck up every Big Government LIE, don’t you.

of course warmongering psychopaths like you never join the army, you just like others do your dirty work. you’re a sick twisted soul lusting for blood

          • Silence Dogood

LOL, I’m for bring the troops home from pretty much every country they are in. War or no.
Funny, a sodo.mite pervert calling me sick and twisted. hoo wee, that’s rich.

          • Gay Veteran

Really? then quit justifying our war of aggression against Iraq

          • Gay Veteran

“sodo.mite pervert”? you need to join your kindred spirits in Saudi Arabia

      • Gay Veteran

          • Silence Dogood

Please point to the country that’s implemented the progressive fascist agenda (that would be what you support) and not devolved into mass murder…..
            I’ll wait.

          • Gay Veteran

you totally failed in understanding my message.
            and fascist is right-wing

          • Silence Dogood

You failed at understanding non-revisionist history.
            not so much right wing.

          • Gay Veteran

guess you didn’t know that Hitler initially came to power in a conservative coalition

        • Gay Veteran

In May 2010 Dr. James David Manning a black theological professor at Columbia held a trial regarding the impeachment of Obama.

The trial proved to a 12 person jury that he was not born in the US, his name is not barack obama and that he was raised and educated by communist and marxist family, family chosen mentors and radical US hating blacks like Rev. Wright,Jesse Jackson and all those who make their livings race baiting and starting riots.

They proved that he never attended Columbia and further proved that he had been hired by the CIA thirty years ago to be a community organizer and to start the implementation of the NWO/Marxist curriculum into the Chicago schools system which he and Ayres then took to the nation which is why his kids have never attended public schools. They proved he has broken numerous laws in the US and that he has committed many felonious acts against the US Constitution.

He was found guilty on all counts and ordered to step down from the office by Dr. Manning. Just like clinton impeachment meant nothing. The people (Bilderbergs) who he has worked for for 3 decades control the courts, the law, the banks and Barack Obama and all of congress. The NWO is the agenda and the US is the breeding ground for the concept and plan. No one and no court will legally get rid of him. The families who run the world run him and it is tooooo late to stop this movement in the US.

      • Bill

Listen to Robert D Steele, you might change your mind.

      • Gay Veteran

“…Manning is fiercely opposed to the gentrification of Harlem[13] and calls for its residents to boycott its shops, restaurants, doctors, banks and churches.[14] That action, combined with a general rent strike, would force all property owners out of Harlem, he said, leaving the neighborhood to its rightful inheritors: black people.[2][15]….”

            Not !!!

          • wa2pu

What next Gary are you going to tell us that Al received no funding for a defunct car company from the stimulus package to produce cars in Europe that created how many “American” jobs. Or maybe that he is not the main owner of Al Jeezra America which McCain and Hillbilly Clinton endorse. Al Jeezra Gore did claim to invent the internet just as markthetruth stated. The only thing that shocks me about Gore is the fact that with his level of stupidity and incompetence he has not been appointed a position in the Obama Administration…he would fit in PERFECTLY!

          • Gay Veteran

who is this Gary you’re talking to???
I do NOT support ANY politician.
There’s plenty to criticize Gore about, particularly NAFTA.

          • wa2pu

My apologies I did not mean to call you anything so offensive as “Gary”. Being pc is one of those issues I do try and work so hard to be. I’m a sensitive guy and really hate it when others offend others so blatantly especially the muzzie terrorist scum, carpet munchers, etcetera. I promise not to make the mistake of calling you Gary tomorrow morning…I will first make sure I drink two cups of coffee and listen to a Kenny G album backwards before I post tomorrow.

          • Kyle Ortz

Its not lies, and if I were you I certainly would take your own advice. I posted above a link to youtube with Gore saying in his “own voice” claiming he created the internet, go see for yourself, it is getting tiring to spoon fed you libs all of the time, when just a little effort on your part you could know all the things that intelligent folks already know. My above post is awaiting moderation, I suppose because there is a link to youtube. Go ahead and listen to it on your own, be fearless and open your eyes and ears to all the truths that surround you, if you are virtuous person that is.

          • Gay Veteran

I see no link. I’ve listened to the interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that was aired on March 9,1999, and it does not prove your point.
AGAIN, there is plenty to criticize Gore with (such as NAFTA).

          • otter1111

“During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.” Al Gore

took the initiative in obtaining funding. stop falling for corporate media lies abut Gore.
and there is PLENTY to criticize Gore for, especially NAFTA

      • Kyle Ortz

Since my link is still awaiting moderation with gore saying in his own words he created the internet on youtube, I have the transcription from CNN with Blitzer.

BLITZER: I want to get to some of the substance of domestic and international issues in a minute, but let’s just wrap up a little bit of the politics right now.

Why should Democrats, looking at the Democratic nomination process, support you instead of Bill Bradley, a friend of yours, a former colleague in the Senate? What do you have to bring to this that he doesn’t necessarily bring to this process?

GORE: Well, I will be offering — I’ll be offering my vision when my campaign begins. And it will be comprehensive and sweeping. And I hope that it will be compelling enough to draw people toward it. I feel that it will be.

But it will emerge from my dialogue with the American people. I’ve traveled to every part of this country during the last six years. During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country’s economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system.

During a quarter century of public service, including most of it long before I came into my current job, I have worked to try to improve the quality of life in our country and in our world. And what I’ve seen during that experience is an emerging future that’s very exciting, about which I’m very optimistic, and toward which I want to lead.

        • Gay Veteran

you’re like a dog with a bone. And your own transcript DISPROVES what you alleged:

“…During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet….”
are you too dim to understand he was talking about research funding?!?!?!?!?

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

All part of the plan. They will gut the middle class until it is all but gone. Obama is just a puppet. Until the vast majority wake up, and object. The speed of the decline will continue to increase. What are the chances the majority will awake? I would put it at about 3%.

    • Mudpie

Maybe 10%. I do not know if Obama is just a puppet, really. Interesting concept, but he seems to be pulling lots of strings himself. No doubt many of these powerful fools are of the same mind, however. What a disgusting power elite we must suffer.

      • K

Mudpie, think of it this way. As far as background and political beliefs. Could there be any two people more different then Bush Jr, and Obama. Yet they become President, and suddenly they become exact copies of each other. Obamacare as they call it, did pass both houses. Then it came down to one man, a known conservative. A man who with the stroke of a pen could have stopped it. Justice Roberts folded, and allowed it to stand. In fact time after time things that should not pass do. Suddenly very vocal opposition, just folds. Are they bought off? Are they being blackmailed? I suspect both methods are in play. No there is the Government you see, and then there are the puppet masters. Do not ignore the men behind the curtain, for they are running the whole show..

        • Gay Veteran

Not America, but the bankster cartel that used America for its own purposes. Now that it has used up the dollar, it wants to move on to a global currency that it can inflate and deflate the same way, controlling the entire world with a new fiat currency and the game remains the same.

  • DJohn1

The economy will not improve until we start putting Biblical principles back into the way we govern.
The problems are caused by people in government that think there is no end to the amount of money that they can spend. That is both here and abroad.
The first principle is to Mind Our Own Business first.
Do away with foreign aid, period. Bring our troops home and make no more wars abroad without Congressional Approval. This means taking that power back from the Presidency.

Put the country on an equal basis with our competition abroad. That means take away the unfair currency exchange. Take away any tax advantages corporations have when they go overseas with their job employment.
Sweeping changes are going to hurt. We gain a lot of our dollar value from foreign goods right now.
Our number one priority is to bring those jobs back to this country. Our entire economy depends on a middle class working population paying taxes.
We need to take a long hard look at the weapons base of our military. It is obsolete. And anyone that builds billion dollar weapons such as air craft carriers needs their head examined. The same goes for the rest of the military and its love affair with expensive hardware.
Who approved the Hummer as a base vehicle?
We used American Half ton trucks before we did that. Before that we used jeeps.
Our tanks need updating to modern standards.
A tank can now be taken out with weapons from horseback! So can an expensive helicopter. We need weapons that can be destroyed and replaced readily in case of a war.

The number one priority should be to put God first in this country. If we do that and it is more than just talk, we walk the walk and we act like we are from our Lord, then perhaps things will right themselves.
Right now suicide amongst Veterans is very high. Why? I suggest it is because the military is engaged in immoral behavior and ordering such behavior from our soldiers who are also forbidden to give out that information to anyone by our secrecy laws.
Those that give up their life for Christ will gain their life. Those that do not will lose their life. That old saying from the Bible has a very dramatic meaning to those who do not know how to apply it in their lives. Those that cannot, will commit suicide on a regular basis. We have to take the moral high ground with our soldiers. Where that is not possible, we have to bring them home.
There is more than one kind of war. The war on our economy from third world nations and greedy corporations has to be stopped.
When a parasite overwhelms its host, the host dies and the parasite dies with it. Some go on to new hosts, but most die. Symbiotic relations cause both the host and the parasite to survive to see another day. That means both have to contribute in order to survive.
I liken this to the economic situation between us and our poor neighbors. China is no longer poor and does not really need us to survive.

We, on the other hand, have to find a better way of doing things and fairly quickly if it is not too late all ready.
WE, as a nation have to make some difficult choices if we are going to survive economically.
I say it is going to take a lot of guts. It is going to take a lot of courage. I say we are going to have to get back to being a religious nation. A nation following our churches both in government and in business. Beware of false church leaders that are in it for the money.
We have to have people of a morale nature leading this country. Until that happens, we are in deed doomed.
We are paying for the misdeeds of our leadership.
I have been there and done that. Take my word for it, the only way out that will work will be honest leadership with a good morale background. Until then, our entire country will feel what they have wrought.

Soon none of this will matter!
Soon the economy will go over the cliff & we will have more & bigger problems than Obama & Obamacare. Why do I think so?I believe so because I have been watching the various financial markets & they are controlled by speculators, banksters,& other assorted hustlers. From what I have seen they are untouchable, above the law!The SEC & the other financial regulators have done very little,if anything,to stop this “banditry without a pistol”. What this means is the financial hustlers have a free hand to think up bigger & bigger, ever more sophisticated, swindles to perpetrate on the real economy. The level of thievery is so huge that it has to destroy the real economy in the near future! WallStreet is a vampire that will suck the blood out of America!

Wow… a lot of posters here need a history lesson. #1… It started with Reagan. (and I’ll give you Clinton as a major contributor) #2… Deregulation in banking has killed us. #3… Austerity has never worked anywhere.
This is simply a cumulation of a series of bad economic decisions over 30+ years that no one has an answer for as our political system moves more conservative. Heck… Obama would be considered center-right by standards a few decades ago… right of Nixon and Reagan.

    • grumpyhillbilly

It started with the creation of the central bank. Runaway immigration of poverty and the destruction of our industrial might started with Reagan.

    • ArigatouGozaimas

Austerity doesn’t work because it mixes crushing tax increases with drastic spending cuts. If you cut taxes and decreased spending you’d have recipe for real economic growth in the long term.

Also, we have not lurched in any conservative or libertarian direction. The government today exerts more control over our lives and the economy than it has ever exerted.

Nixon was no libertarian, he was power hungry progressive with socialist leanings. Actually, Obama and Nixon have a lot in common. I’ll give you that.

But don’t compare a socialist progressive to the closest thing the U.S. had to a libertarian president in modern times. (On domestic policy, times were different and a strong foreign policy was required) Because then you will be the one rewriting history.

The Reagan / Obama comparison. If I had the capacity to be insulted by political lies anymore, that is one that would insult.

      • Gay Veteran

Reagan? the one who massively increased the federal debt? Iran/Contra?

    • otter1111

To the right of Reagan? Seriously? To say Obama is center-right is nonsense. I consider myself a conservative and have disagreed with almost everything he has done.

Is Obamacare a center-right idea? Are any of his supreme court nominees center-right? Supporting gay “marriage” is center-right? How about increasing the debt about twice as fast as Bush (who wasn’t conservative when it came to spending either)?

Obama is on the far left, that’s why his policies aren’t working and never will. He’s taking us on the same path the liberals took Detroit.

Woo hoo! Unemployment dropped to 7.4% in July 2013 compared to 8.2% in July 2012, 9.1% in July 2011, 9.5% in July 2010. Happy days are here again! Well, not so fast.

The problem with bogus government unemployment figures is that they exclude the long-term unemployed. If you’re long-term unemployed, the government doesn’t count you as unemployed; you cease to exist as far as the government is concerned. So what type of unemployment rate do you get when those millions of Americans are factored in? According to economist John Williams of Shadow Statistics, you get an unemployment rate of 23.3% for July 2013. If that figure reminds you of conversations you had about The Great Depression with abuelita or bisabuelita when you were growing up, it should. The unemployment rate was 23.6% in 1932, the year Herbert Hoover got clobbered by FDR.

    • El Pollo de Oro

So how bad will things get when this nightmare goes from bad to worse? 50% or 60% unemployment would not surprise me. I don’t envision a scenario where one big cataclysmic mega-crash creates a Mad Max atmosphere, although will likely be more crashes like the Panic of Sept. 2008 or the Crash of 1929. But this is death by 1000 cuts (or 100,000 cuts), and Third World misery will be a reality for The Banana Republic of America.

Some Republicans are bad, yes, but all Democrats are bad. We wouldn’t have Obamacare if there were more conservative Republicans-not a single Republican voted for Obamacare.

You just can’t get away from the attacks, though, can you?
I’m very awake, so to arrogantly assert that because I disagree with you I’m somehow asleep makes you look boorish and condescending.

Voting for a 3rd party is wasting your vote. Either Romney or Obama was going to be our president last election. Romney may or may not have been better, but he couldn’t have been worse than Obama.

  • SRVES339

Yet another intellectually bankrupt piece about President Obama…

This mess began with the Reagan (and to a lesser extent Thatcher) “revolution” in the 80s when corporate America began to implement the “Powel Memo” agenda. Since then unions have been crushed; wages have tanked; millions of jobs have been destroyed in the name of corporate profit; financial regulations have been decimated; legislators, judges, and media have been corrupted with corporate (mostly financial) bribes and loans; banking has evolved into an unregulated, massively leveraged casino; and finally it all came to it’s inevitable conclusion with the 2008 meltdown…with millions destroyed financially and not a single guilty party being held accountable (and of course corporate profits continue),

The Money Masters are in charge, and falling for the “Obama did it” divide and conquer meme is a waste of time.

    • JustanOguy

Somewhat true points but Obama has done nothing to change the direction of the Fed. Govt. being run by Wall St.

In fact… with the Dodd-Frank bill, “mandatory buy health insurance” bill, etc.. it’s actually gotten worse.

That “Hope and Change” thing just ended up being another cheap campaign slogan.

      • SRVES339

        Hey JO…

Of course Wall Street does own The Fed (literally, as Biden would say), and any president that got serious about fighting back would get hit (by a deranged lone gunman… or maybe an out of control car crash).

Dodd Frank, like most everything else, including healthcare (a GOP model btw… wonder how it morphed into “evil socialism”… lol), is a mess because the money boys in the back rooms of congress just chip away ’til they get their way.

Point was, I don’t see Obama being worse than the alternative (in fact he’s much better IMHO… for what that’s worth), but it doesn’t matter… the system is completely corrupt and no president could do much about it at this point.

This piece (and others like it) are just noise… would be nice to see a little contempt for those really responsible… from all sides.

        Cheers

        • JustanOguy

No doubt. The Cancer has spread throughout Washington D.C.

There’s certainly a reason why the median income in D.C. has almost doubled since 1997 while the rest of the country has pretty much remained flat during the same time period.

The Federal Government is a Ponzi scheme which by next year will completely implode. New York City has been hit several times starting with the first failed attempt on the Twin Towers, but then followed by 9/11 which was then followed by the 2008 Financial Crisis. The US is living on borrowed time. What would happen if the world suffered a complete and total economic meltdown? My guess would be war both on a national and international level. Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, was the day that America became an Empire not a Republic. Roosevelt became our first Ceasar, and all of his successors have been Emperors each building up the police state, expanding government and violating the Constitution and Bill of Rights left and right like they were mere scraps of paper, with Democrats always leading the way, dominating their stupider rivals the Republicans.

The few Republican Presidents and Congresses since then have only been shadows of the Democrat totalitarian machine which has been eating away at the foundations of the Republic since the first Pilgrim landed at Plymouth Rock.

Democrats have been the party of slavery, and treason, and treason and slavery during our whole history. They have now finally won, and we are now all slaves on the Democrat Welfare State Slave Plantation, regardless of Race, Creed or Color.

Throughout human history in every nation on earth there has always been essentially two political parties, the party of slavery, (Democrat) and the party of freedom (Republican) they operate under different names but always with the same ideology and agendas.

    To read more, Google “FounderChurch”

    • Colin

There were no Democrats in 1621. The modern Democrat Party was founded in 1828, with its roots dating back to 1792.

When we went to war against Japan, and later Germany and Italy, it was not if President Roosevelt unilaterally declared war. He had to get the consent of the Congress, which he did. This is not the behavior of a Caesar.

I get the feeling from your diatribe that you believe that once something is founded that it stays the same. This is false. Organizations change, and in my mother’s lifetime and in my lifetime, we have witnessed how the parties have changed. The Democrat Party of today is not the same party as it was in FDR’s time. Same for the Republican Party.

      • FounderChurch

All you know about history is what your leftist teachers taught you and what you get from the leftist controlled media. Other than that you know nothing.

The first Democrat was Lucifer, and was followed by Pharoah, Nero, Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pot Pol, and finally YOU.

The Democrat party under different names in different times and climes, and its enslavement ideology is as old as the earth.

Likewise the Republican party and its freedom ideology is as old as God, Moses, Jesus Christ, Lincoln, Reagan and FounderChurch.

Don’t spout things that have been washed into your brain by you know not who.

democrats pay slave welfare and republicans want to pay free trade slave third world wages, either way you are a slave

  • Hank Kingsley

And yet people keep thinking that if only we abolish Obozocare and bring some peoples fantasy friend (‘gawd’) back in the classrooms everything will be fixed… now that is dumb.

Even warmonger Bush the lesser wasn’t that stupid.

    • FounderChurch

      Greetings Heathen Christ Hater Democrat…

True, Republicans are not very smart. If they were smart every Democrat would be driven out of the country, or in hard labor camps, by now. And the Democrat Party labelled a terrorist RICO organization.

But just because Republicans are dumb that doesn’t mean Democrats are not demonic traitors hell bent on destroying this Country and all it stands for.

All Democrats hate God, hate the family, hate all children, hate truth, hate beauty, hate America, & hate goodness. They conversely love Crime, love divorce, love addictions of all sorts, love their father the devil, love ugliness, love filth, love disease, love destruction, love corruption, love lies, & love everything bad and evil.

Face it, choke it down, deal with it.

      • ian

All democrats hate god? Most democrats i know are far more spiritually minded then republicans. Guarantee. Republicans are out for themselves, tooth and nail. Me, me, me, me. The antithesis of christianity.Where is the christ is the current republican idiocy?

        • fidel60

If more people would take care of themselves then we, we, we, we, would not be forced to take care of them, them, them, them, with other people’s money.

        • Joe W.

If that were the case, why then was God booed at your convention, and why was any reference to Him not made on your platform. the dems are the party of atheists, homos, America haters and the morally bankrupt. And y’all have ruined the greatest nation to have ever existed. The U.S. is no better than Britain or France anymore, thanks to vermin maggots such as you.

          • Gay Veteran

and Republicans are like the old Pharisees, praying in public so all can see them

          • AddisonDewitt

Oh cute—you know your Bible, then you ought to know what God says about men who lay with men….

          • Gay Veteran

hey troll, I’m sure you obey EVERY rule in the Old Testament

    • StarResident

Says a person who believes in the magic soup.

  • Gay Veteran

hey Noelle, ever balance a budget? you cut income then you have to cut the items you wanted to buy

    • http://www.NoelleCampbell.com/ Noelle Campbell

Yes, I have balanced a budget, and guess what? I didn’t count money that was not going to come in and I didn’t plan on money that wasn’t already there AND I only spent what I actually had. How do you budget?

      • Gay Veteran

well Noelle, if your income drops (cutting taxes) then you have to reduce your expenses. unless you’re using the George Bush the Stoopid accounting

        • http://www.NoelleCampbell.com/ Noelle Campbell

You didn’t answer my question. The government has never spent its budget, so calling a tax cut a loss of income is ridiculous. We’re already spending mostly on credit. Do you count your credit card as income?

          • Gay Veteran

Sorry, darling, but for any government cutting taxes IS losing income. And raising taxes is raising income, and no it doesn’t matter if the expected revenue is less than expected because income is still raised.

          • Bo

Sorry gay person, taxes are not income. Taxes are taxes. That is why taxes on “income” are referred to as “income tax” and not “income income”.. They are taxes on income, not income themselves. They might be considered revenue but income is something that is earned through providing something that you have created and brought to market. Taxes were supposed to be a very small “contribution” albeit a forced “contribution”. At this point we are approaching the point where this country broke away from the tyrannical rule of the British aristocracy. No Taxation Without Representation.

          • Gay Veteran

the synonym for income is revenue, and revenue is defined as the income of a government from taxation

          • BO

If you are going to try to use semantics, here are some of the synonyms of income from Roget’s Thesaurus, in order of relevance:
Earnings , Salary, Wage, Pay, Livelihood, Interest, Profit, Cash, Compensation etc.
Nowhere is “Taxation” mentioned as income. Taxation is a confiscatory policy for separating hard working people from their money and “Earnings” so that a tyrannical government can take control of a free society and enslave a free people.

          • Gay Veteran

well bo-ron, there’s this little thing called Google, use it sometime.
yes, taxes are way too high, but it sounds like you want all the benefits of government without paying for any of it

          • Kyle Ortz

Reading your rather nonsensical posts, and reading every ones after you, you lost the argument. Wise up! Its sad that maybe an IQ test should be mandatory in order to vote these days and to own property, we just can’t lose our country because of people like you too stubborn to face truths. Civil war against ignorance.

          • Gay Veteran

thank you for your contribution to the discussion…….not

          • jamson64

More name calling…hmmmm. Guess you’re losing the argument.

          • Gay Veteran

            project much?

          • LMW51

And there you go. If one says that Government has grown too large a Liberal says that that person wants “No Government”. If one says that taxes are too high and that the programs are being abused, a Liberal says that person is just greedy. When you are losing the debate, go large.

          • Gay Veteran

go large? what the heck are you talking abut???government IS too large, we can start the cuts with the bloated Pentagon budget

          • JHLIII

That budget has already been cut. No, we can start with a lot of these unnecessary departments – Commerce, Agriculture, EPA, Education…

          • Gay Veteran

we can cut the corporate welfare at USDA

          • JHLIII

Well, we can agree on that.

          • Tomk777

NO government? Have you been to Washington DC lately? Fourteen high rise cranes in action, they can’t build the building fast enough for all the new government workers, you talk about red tape, in some cases, you have to get approval from 10 or 12 different levels of government to do something now, its choking us to death. WAKE UP!

          • Cliff_Skridlow

I bet you think Wikipedia is a “trusted source” as well. Can’t fix stupid…

          • Gay Veteran

no, Wikipedia cannot be trusted. Any you’re right, you can’t fix stupid

          • ZosimaUSA

In the same sense that what a mugger take is income, you are correct.

          • jartyTek

That is one of the most ignorant statement related to economics that I have ever heard! It completely ignores even basic economic principles. Reading thread and comments like this one render me pessimistic abo9ut the future when people involved in the process demonstrate clear ignorance AND appear to be proud of themselves..

          • Gay Veteran

pretty arrogant comments when you have provided NOTHING to back them up.

          • jartyTek

nothing arrogant about it: read a book about economics. Its abundantly clear that you know nothing about this subject. Knowledge is power-inform yourself.

          • Gay Veteran

well jerkyTek, I have a MBA, so I have educated myself about economics

          • jartyTek

I take it you believe that calling names will prove your point….nice try but it just underscores the bankruptcy of your argument and knowledge.

I have a bachelors degree in Political science and one in economics….I also have an MBA in finance and I also have a PHd in economics. I teach economics and work in this capacity for a Fortune 25 company.

This doesn’t validate my point or invalidate yours. I suggest that you leave YOUR education out of the argument. If you have something to say, then say it and provide substantiation…don’t be a jerk.

          • Gay Veteran

“…Its abundantly clear that you know nothing about this subject….”
because obviously anyone who disagrees with you is uneducated or ignorant.
            Pretty arrogant there

          • jartyTek

I’ll burn my degrees and hand in my resignation to my employer….

          • Kyle Ortz

Saying so doesn’t make it true, who do you think you are anyway, an obamabot? Libs, when they have nothing to debate on, no facts, no truths they resolve to throwing verbal Molotov cocktails.

          • Gay Veteran

well junior, I didn’t vote for Obama. Did you vote for Romney?

          • Miranda Grant

Since you didn’t vote either way the point is pointless! Since you succumbed to the media’s rush to impeach Romney as a credible businessman that COULD have done a better job than your current President who seems to think part-time employment is considered full-time employment when referring to statistics! American should be ashamed!

          • Gay Veteran

yes, because the Repubicrats are the gooooood party.
            thanks for playing their game

          • Miranda Grant

You really need to use spell check. You’re dismissed!

          • Gay Veteran

            went over your head, eh

          • Miranda Grant

            No…I chose to ignore you!

          • Charles Batchelor

Since you injected your education credentials into this, I’d say he knows a lot more about it then you.

          • Gay Veteran

uh, no, I was told to “read a book about economics”. I did that in my MBA program

          • keelerenator

Reading and comprehension are two very different things mind you.

          • Kyle Ortz

Where in heaven did you get your MBA, out of a cracker jack box? You made me laugh so hard I nearly voided in my pants. Good going! If that is true that you have a degree, I would go back and ask for my money back for your education. You fail yet again.

          • Gay Veteran

my, my, you’ve got quite the attitude.
is that you Founder Church? off your meds again?

          • Miranda Grant

You’re using the same comments over and over when you don’t make a clear point otherwise!

          • Gay Veteran

now FounderChurch, take off the ugly wig

          • Miranda Grant

Most likely you like my long locks of hair…I’m guessing you’re jealous that you have to wear your mommy’s wig yourself. You really have begun to sound like two years old or less. Didn’t school start back up yet? Just because you want to be me…doesn’t mean you can!

          • Gay Veteran

            I have a crewcut.
and no one wants to be like you, nasty

          • Miranda Grant

Ah…yes….understand! A good place for your boyfriend to lay his beer! Good for you!

          • Gay Veteran

not going to say what rests on your chin

          • Miranda Grant

Again…you lack the ability to research! Very pathetic!

          • Boommach

GVet says that you are founder church and he accused me of being you. GVet may have serious gender identity issues but, that doesn’t apply to the rest of us.

          • Miranda Grant

Giving the idiot more attention obviously fuels his insane and worthless rhetoric. Again…I’ve chosen to ignore anymore of his juvenile behavior!

          • Boommach

I don’t think he’s insane. Evil can be mistaken for being nuts.

          • Dry Dino

Did your MBA program teach you the difference between tax RATES and tax REVENUE?? JFK understood! Today’s liberals/MSM don’t want the public to understand. Obama’s response was even tho higher tax rates produce lower tax revenue (in the real world) it was more “fair”. And anyone that believes that is an idiot, regardless of the credentials they’ve been awarded by academia!!!

          • Gay Veteran

Obama is a scumbag just like the rest of them in DC

          • jamson64

            Congrats!
            /sarc
You’re hilarious. -not in a good way.

          • Gay Veteran

            sad troll

          • Gay Veteran

            Congrats!
            /sarc
You’re NOT hilarious. -not in a good way.

          • Charles Batchelor

So what does one do with a MBA these days?

          • Gay Veteran

            MBAs are pretty worthless

          • Silence Dogood

LMAO! And you hung in there to get the ‘Masters degree in pretty worthless’.

Now, please stop confusing the definition of the two completely different words ‘educated’ and ‘intelligent’

As I said just above, you’re a flamboyant secretary aren’t you.

          • Gay Veteran

worthless as being not particularly usefull, but it does help you get a job.

flamboyant secretary? having those naughty dreams again, eh

          • Silence Dogood

Well, first one spends around 6 years in school and an enormous amount of money. Then when the clown graduates he becomes a secretary.
If he’s a sodomite, he becomes a flamboyant secretary that no one likes and thinks is an embarrassment to the co.

          • Earl Franklin Clemons Jr

You know what, one of the most ignorant people I have ever had the displeasure and misfortune to know in my life had an MBA, the wall decoration of and by itself means absolutely nothing if you do not have the wisdom to implement what you have learned in day to day life.

          • Gay Veteran

well junior, sorry if my disagreeing with your opinions makes me “ignorant”

          • Miranda Grant

It’s not the fact that you disagree with anybody. It’s the fact that you resort to the typical style of rhetoric and personal attacks that make YOU so pathetic!

          • Gay Veteran

            project much?

          • Miranda Grant

Now that I’ve responded to a different comment from you…ask yourself if YOU project much! You truly are one pathetic lying POS!

          • Gay Veteran

no I get it, you’re FounderChurch in drag. now run home and play with your dolls

          • Miranda Grant

That’s it??? If your “little boy tool” is as small as your thoughts…you are in serious trouble!

          • Gay Veteran

so you are FounderChurch in drag!

          • Miranda Grant

The “I love me wall” type! I’ve met several myself!!!

          • Earl Franklin Clemons Jr

Yes unfortunately so have I Miranda, they turn my stomach.

          • Miranda Grant

Daddy always said “you can toot your own horn once in awhile but too many times gets annoying!”

          • JHLIII

You don’t have an MBA and “educate yourself” about economics – it’s part of the curriculum. Your previous posts indicate you have no grasp of the fundamental precepts of capitalistic economics and the role the govt. supposed to play in it.

Sorry, but you’re misrepresenting your “credentials”.

          • Gay Veteran

well you don’t know me so how do you know I don’t have a MBA? btw, I worked on my MBA degree at night when I was in the Army

          • JHLIII

            Yeah, buddy…*sure*…what ever *you* say… :-

          • Gay Veteran

Shove it. I didn’t accuse you of being a liar.

          • JHLIII

Based on your screen name, I suggest YOU shove it – you appear to be more open to it.

          • Gay Veteran

call someone a liar in person and find out what happens to your pathetic troll butt

          • JHLIII

*lol* Ohhhhh…didn’t know I was dealing with an “internet tough guy”. That’s *different*. You had me soiling my undies, I got soooo scared. :-O

          • Gay Veteran

sad pathetic troll, lying about people he has never met

          • Guest

By the way, I’ve called plenty of people a “liar” in person when they deserved it. I’m not afraid to defend my opinions, either.

          • Gay Veteran

yeah, you’re a regular tough guy running home to mommie

          • Silence Dogood

LOL, whatcha gonna do, slap him with your purse?

          • Gay Veteran

no, I’ll leave that to you

          • Gay Veteran

I’m curious. Do you even know any gay people???

          • Silence Dogood

I dated a woman for almost 4 years whose brother was gay. He lived with her for about 2 of those years.
He was a cool guy. He also didn’t pin it on his forehead like you do.
Hung out with him a lot and even went to a gay club in West Hollywood with them once. WHAT A FRAKKING FREAK SHOW THAT WAS.
            And?

          • Gay Veteran

yeah, I bet you are quite familiar with freak shows

          • Miranda Grant

Well little man…here’s a headline for you…I think you are a liar! There’s the accusation!

          • Gay Veteran

you want name calling? then I think you’re a bit*h

          • Miranda Grant

How original…that your best shot little man? You see…once a liar is exposed…they increase their name calling attacks of course!

          • Gay Veteran

wow, what a hypocrite, like calling someone a liar isn’t name-calling.

          • Miranda Grant

How about this…. I won’t “call” you a liar! I’ve already “labeled” you as one! Quit acting like a two year old child….grow up…and instead of resorting to your level of “nanny nanny boo boo” nonsense….offer a legitimate debate. Until then…I’ll continue to call you a liar!

          • Gay Veteran

wow, do you actually read the garbage you write before posting it?!?!?
like trying to have a conversation with a two year old child

          • Miranda Grant

I guess it’s too hard for you to come up with your own thoughts and you use my own instead….wow!

          • Gay Veteran

            yawn

          • Boommach

don’t diss him too much, maybe he’ll share that matchbook cover that advertised his MBA school

          • Miranda Grant

LMAO…true…but…he just makes it too easy!

          • Boommach

Very classy, here’s our resident “MBA” arguing like a high school dropout.

          • Gay Veteran

and how would YOU react to being called a liar? just sit on your fat tail?

          • Boommach

It’s your use of the B word. Very unseemly. Certainly unexpected of one who holds himself out to be an MBA. Only, adolescents and those caught in lies drop so low.

          • Gay Veteran

guess you never heard of reciprocity.
and I suspect you are a troll hiding behind a new screen name

          • Boommach

Reciprocity, What are you talking about. I have no idea who Miranda Grant might be. I have been following your diatribe. It’s full of crap, she has you nailed…and you know it. Your character shows up vividly in your last response. Now think real hard and come up with a real nasty name as a retort. I can’t wait.

          • Gay Veteran

hi miranduh in a fat suit

          • Wings8

Wow Gay Vet, you should see if you can get a refund of those education expenses as you obviously did not learn anything. Check the gov’t statistics for Federal Tax Revenue for the years from 1993 forward (Clinton through Obama) and you’ll see that AFTER the GWBush tax cuts Federal revenue went UP not down. “The more critical conclusion is that the next four years of the Bush Presidency after the 2003 reduction in tax rates saw a 44% INCREASE in Federal tax revenues from $1.782 trillion to $2.568 trillion. That’s correct – a 44% increase in revenues after the so-called “tax break for the wealthy.””

As for the costs of the wars, historically the GDP rises along with the country’s war expenses as the money is being spent on American goods and labor. But thanks to the Lame stream media’s lack of honesty in their party politics reporting we end up with people like you repeating the same old BS over and over.

          • Gay Veteran

Of course you ignoring all the deficit spending that adds to GDP.

“…As for the costs of the wars, historically the GDP rises along with the country’s war expenses as the money is being spent on American goods and labor….”
well gee, that sounds like a great reason to start another war of aggression. But then you do forget how much our military is buying from China.

          • Thomas DeMarie

MBA? I wouldn’t consider intro to micro and macro economics as being completely educated in economics and all the other classes in most MBA majors are bs fluff classes, where they pretty much teach you common sense.

          • Gay Veteran

plenty of blogs about economics, such as zerohedge, Charles Hugh Smith’s blog oftwominds, Paul Craig Robert’s blog,
            and Karl Denninger’s blog market-ticker

          • Thomas DeMarie

My response was to say that an MBA doesn’t really mean anything when it comes to understanding economics.

          • jartyTek

You may specifically wish to learn about supply side economics and their successes AND the Laffer Curve.

          • Gay Veteran

of course Reagan used that and exploded the federal debt

          • jartyTek

He didn’t use SS economics to explode the debt. The debt exploded to repair damage done by the Carter administration. SS economics does NOT borrow money.

You simply refuse to believe facts don’t you. Either way, the ‘explosion’ of Reagan era debt pales in comparison to the ‘supernova’ of debt spending characterized by this administration….doesn’t it?

          • Gay Veteran

The debt exploded because it was spent on the bloated Pentagon budget.
And yes, the debt exploded even more under Bush the Stoopid, and yet even more by Obama.

          • jartyTek

As a veteran, it would seem that you would have been pleased that any president had spent money on your employer. I suppose that you would have favored deep cuts affecting all areas EXCEPT your job.

Other thank that, I don’t see the point of this post.

          • Gay Veteran

LOL, there’s a great deal you don’t see.
And 8 years of Bush the Stoopid and 4 years of Obama have awakened a lot of people

          • jartyTek

You speak as if you are a teenager….maybe you should change your moniker to ‘stupid veteran’ …YOU are whats wrong with this country: idiots, proud to proclaim and romance their own ignorance while accusing others of stupidity.

          • Gay Veteran

awwwww, must have hit a nerve

          • jartyTek

I’m sure you were hoping for a vein.

          • Charles Batchelor

Except that Defense makes up only 20% of the Federal Budget, Social Welfare programs over 50%.

          • Gay Veteran

so? there’d be a lot more Americans still alive if we didn’t have such a bloated Pentagon that allowed us to go into Iraq

          • Gay Veteran

and let’s not forget that Saint Reagan raised Social Security taxes and immediately spent the money

          • jartyTek

You are incorrect: it was the Clinton congress that voted to incorporate SS outlays into the general fund with Al Gore casting the deciding vote.

          • Jay Raymond

Well said! If we had the same economy then, as now we would be so much better. Why can’t people like “Gay Veteran” see the obvious? It’s baffling.

          • jartyTek

Thanks Jay….I am beginning to discern that even facts do not apply to the Left and its adherents.

          • Gay Veteran

I know that even facts do not apply to the “Right” or “Left” or their adherents

          • jartyTek

You guy on believing that….THAT is why we have problems: people such as yourself are convinced that facts are interchangeable with opinions.

          • Gay Veteran

you seem to still think there’s a big difference between the “left” and the “right” when both are owned by the elites

          • jartyTek

Perhaps YOU are…..Regardless:the left actively attempts to prosper to the expense and detriment of those that are productive. You are naive….

          • Gay Veteran

yeah, and Republicans are soooooo different from Democrats. jeez

          • jartyTek

I hope that you are enjoying the economic boom and residual prosperity as made available by the Democrat…of course, it was a REAL bitch to get a job and mortgage prior to his administration. But now you can marry the goat you are in love with. Enjoy!

          • Gay Veteran

oh, so now you’re having fantasies about goat. interesting.
a job and mortgage before this administration? you mean during the real estate bubble blown by the Federal Reserve? how did that end up, eh?

          • jartyTek

At least we agree that it was the financial meltdown that caused the recession. But the Fed had nothing to do with it (though I would like to see your substantiation on that). The true culprit was the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977….look into it,.

          • Gay Veteran

The Fed started the housing bubble with their low interest rates.

And the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 had little to do with it. Mortgage companies NOT subject to it were giving out no-doc mortgages.

          • jartyTek

lol…low interest rates caused the housing bubble?? Thats Hilarious!!!

Mortgage companies were GIVING mortgages to people who did not qualify BECAUSE of this legislation. The Clinton Congress baked in derivatives that effectively gave them the ability to profit on their failure as well…it was a win/win for lenders.

            You need to read more….

          • Gay Veteran

and you need to read period, because I wrote:

“Mortgage companies NOT subject to it were giving out no-doc mortgages.”
jeez, just Google “housing bubble low interest rates federal reserve”

          • jartyTek

Tell me specifically: how do low interest rates cause a housing bubble and when did the Fed play a part??

          • Gay Veteran

sorry, but I’m not being paid to be your teacher.

As I previously told you: Google “housing bubble low interest rates federal reserve”

          • jartyTek

So, you have NO explanation? I’ll put you on record as ‘duh’. Lots of opinions and insults but zero substantiation. Typical liberal-stupid and proud.

          • Gay Veteran

            too lazy to Google, eh?

          • jartyTek

            I prefer books…google one!

          • Gay Veteran

well we don’t have the same economy, do we.
the elites have shipped millions of American jobs to China, India, Vietnam, Mexico, etc.

          • Miranda Grant

When one has their head up the wrong end of their anatomy….they seem to get somewhat confused frequently!

          • JHLIII

It was the Dem Congress that “exploded the debt” during the Reagan era.

          • Miranda Grant

Which caused the first time our deficit went over $1T. Of course I can’t help but wonder after Bush left the White House with the deficit being $8T in EIGHT years what is Obama’s excuse for bringing the deficit up over $16T in five years?!

          • Gay Veteran

uh, I don’t support either Bush or Obama, so look to others to defend their records

          • Miranda Grant

Which means you most likely don’t vote to start with. None the less…”I didn’t vote for either” is a really lame comment! Or in other words…you are really wishy washy!

          • Gay Veteran

LOL, you think voting is some kind of virtue?!?!?!? when your choice is between Demolicans and Repubucrats?
no darling, I don’t vote for either of the 2 parties which would give my consent to the psychopaths and sociopaths in government

          • Miranda Grant

So in other words…you chose to abstain from picking a side of which offers a better option than the other! Again…you contribute to the wealth of stupidity!

          • Gay Veteran

LOL, so you still think there’s any difference between the 2 parties.
say, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell to you

          • Miranda Grant

No…I think there are people within each party of which are trying to do what’s right but constituents like yourself probably bombard your representatives demanding DADT instead of worrying about more important topics!

          • Gay Veteran

            keep on believing the BS

          • JHLIII

Jarty – if he actually *had* an MBA, he’d be familiar -w- those concepts. It’s obvious he has no clue about economics or business and he doesn’t have an MBA.

          • jartyTek

Indeed: just some loud mouthed troll that has nothing to add but insults.

          • Charles Batchelor

Sorry bro but governments don’t have income, they have taxes and budgets (When they follow the Constitution anyway.

          • Gay Veteran

revenue is defined as the income of a government from taxation

          • Jay Raymond

You are a moran! The truth is cutting taxes increases revenue to the Treasury. That is reality which you fail to see history.

          • Gay Veteran

don’t get your knickers in a wad, cutting taxes does raise more revenue if the tax rate is initially high.

          • SNuss

Taxes ARE high. Currently, our corporate income taxes are the highest in the world. Not a good way to attract and/or grow business, don’t you think?
In addition, Obama once admitted that he wouldn’t cut taxes in a way to grow the economy, but to promote “fairness”. His arrogance, incompetence, racial biases, and inability to learn from his many mistakes poses a great danger to this Country. IMHO, Barack Hussein Obama will go down in history as the worst President we ever had, easily beating out “Jimmy” Carter.

          • Gay Veteran

“Taxes ARE high. Currently, our corporate income taxes are the highest in the world….”
and what corporations are actually paying that rate? certainty none like General Electric, Exxon, etc.
And at least Carter recognized the need to cut off our dependency on Middle East oil.

          • SNuss

Carter, whatever good intensions that he had, was a failure as President. His decimation of our military, and his failed fiscal policies destroyed our level of respect in the world community.
However, Obama has outdone his failures, by a significant margin.

          • SNuss

You have it a bit wrong. The government doesn’t raise or lower taxes, they raise or lower tax RATES.

It IS possible to lower tax RATES, and INCREASE tax income, as happened under JFK, Reagan, and Bush #43, because the economy grows.

You can also increase tax RATES, and REDUCE tax revenues, as happened to Bush #41, when a luxury tax was implemented. The tax not only failed to meet revenue goals, but it put thousands of people out of work, causing an even greater loss of income tax revenue from the now out-of-work people, and the shuttered businesses.

          • Gay Veteran

            I generally agree

          • SNuss

In addition, the “Beltway Mentality” fails to realize that excess government spending MUST BE CUT. While both parties are guilty, the Leftist Democrats have raised deficit spending to an art form. During Reagan’s tenure, He did agree to some tax increases, because the Democrats promised to cut spending. As we should all know, the Democrats lied, and spent even more. Because of the Republican Revolution of 1994, we did achieve a balanced budget (briefly) before the Beltway disease took over, and the Republicans spent almost as wastefully as the Democrats. When the Democrats took control of Congress in 2006, they wouldn’t even pass a budget, using continuing resolutions to jack up spending. When Obama was elected, the levels of waste, fraud, and cronyism reached unprecedented heights. It took the Republicans taking control of the House in 2010 to slow spending slightly (though not nearly enough).

          • Gay Veteran

actually we did not achieve a balanced budget because Social Security was hiding the true deficit

          • David Taylor

There is a point of diminishing returns to taxes, and you’ve seen it in your lifetime, where you raise taxes and income to the government drops. If you punish someone for doing something, like making money/creating wealth, they will stop doing what apparently offends. We’re way past that point with our income taxes. Now the income tax is nothing more than a punishment on the productive, unless, of course, you’re politically connected. Crony Capitalism, and the economic side of Fascism, at its most blatant.

          • Gay Veteran

            generally agree

          • stevejbrown50

Sorry Gay, but you’re not only gay, you’re also an IDIOT. Anytime you cut taxes government revenue goes up, raise taxes, revenue goes down. Even JFK (democrat) knew that.

          • Gay Veteran

well Einstein, that’s true ONLY if the resulting increase in the economy produces enough taxes to offset the lower tax rate. Or is that equation too difficult for you to grasp. In your words, dumbass

          • ZosimaUSA

Income:money received, esp. on a regular basis, for work or through investments. The government neither works nor invests. Any money it takes in through the threat of violence.

          • Gay Veteran

if the mafia shakes your business down, it’s still income for the mafia

        • jamson64

          Stoopid? Grow up .

          • Gay Veteran

            troll

        • Claude Jones

Cutting tax rates does not necessarily reduce income. Raising taxes can actually reduce income. (See Obama Administration)

          • Gay Veteran

totally agree with your general points

        • Joe

Go look at the charts that chronicle the tax revenues to the government and you will see that revenues to the government did not,I repeat ,did not go down with the tax cut.

        • Concerned Citizen

Whoa there GV, your boy Obama is the one now saying that we don’t need to cut spending. If we cut the percentage that our spending rises, that’ll balance everything out!

          • Gay Veteran

uh, I didn’t vote for Obama

        • stevejbrown50

Dumb@ss, when taxes go down, revenues to government go up! That has been proven time and time again. Even JFK knew that, and he was a democrat.

          • Gay Veteran

IF economic activity increases enough to make up for the lower tax rate.
And steve, watch the potty mouth.

      • Charles Batchelor

Apparently like Obama, first you add up all the income you believe you will make next ten years, take a portion of that amount and reduce it by a 0.1%. take those two amounts and add them together and that’s your new budget for the next month.

      • stevejbrown50

So, you’re obviously not a democrat!

    • Tomk777

      Tell that to Obama,

  • Gay Veteran

you still don’t get it, no war profits without war.
I still have lots of clues to give to you

while I detest Obama and the rest of the scumbags in DC, Bush the Stoopid did leave him an incredible mess

      • Joe W.

He begged for it, son, and he has continued many of the same Bush policies and exacerbated many of them. Your classless derision of the highly intelligent and equally highly educated President Bush, coupled with your obvious “pride” of being a perverted homosexual, labels you as someone that most of us care little of what you think about anything. Go play with your gerbils, Princess.

The problem is: Obama is stupider. His decision process was learned from the Clinton’s, what best for me and the democrat party first, what’s good for the USA is a bothersome consideration.

        • Gay Veteran

sounds like your typical politician scumbag

  • Boo-urns

If you pay attention to half the idiots posting here, you would think that Republicans can do absolutely no wrong whatsoever and in fact never have, that gay marriage is by far the most important issue facing this nation and will somehow result in the End Of Times, and that all of the world’s problems will automagically disappear if more people will simply join the Cult of Jesus.

    What a bunch of dolts.

    • Tobias Smith

what is your solution? Republicans have done wrong many times, for instance President Bush governed like a democrat. gay marriage is a major item for the dems, why blame the Republicans?

Tell us about principles of the democrat party and how they will help this nation. we are listening.

      • Gay Veteran

NEITHER party is helping this nation

Are we going to continue to justify universal spying of American citizens and involvement in undeclared foreign wars or are we going to spend some time and money rebuilding the American economy rather than spending on foreign aid and sending all the manufacturing overseas? Where are the jobs Obama promised?

    • MM

We don’t have ANY money to spend, period… It makes no difference whether you throw money out the window in Mexico, or whether you throw money out the Window in Detroit. You are still throwing money out of the window.

a classic? like “On Liberty” by John Stuart Mill? like “The Age of Reason” by Thomas Paine? like “The Makers of Rome” by Plutarch? like “The Annals of Imperial Rome” by Tacitus?

  • LostBoyPA

You forgot #34: Corporations have used the “uncertainty” of the Obama presidency to not improve wages, not create more jobs, and contribute to the financial meltdown that began under the Bush Administration in order to force the American people into voting for an alternate administration that’s more friendly to continuing the practices the Bush regime allowed them to undertake.

The only way Obama could affect the economy directly would be to raise the minimum wage (which should be done). He can’t force companies to hire people.

    • ibelieveinfreedom2

Raising the minimum wage costs jobs and increases inflation. Some jobs, especially unskilled labor, are not worth what minimum wage forces employers to pay. These jobs are ENTRY LEVEL positions and were never intended for people to stay in or raise a family on. Most of those are jobs kids can do for spending cash and gain job experience. Others are a stepping stone into better jobs higher up in the company.

When you increase minimum wage, You disincentivize the employee to move up the ladder.

The best way to help the poor is to make them uncomfortable in their poverty–– Benjamin Franklin

      • Gay Veteran

those jobs USED to be entry level, but no longer true because we have shipped so many American overseas

    • EnoughAlready

Raising the minimum wage in 2007 is what started the decline. Until then unemployment was in the 4.5-5% range.

      • Gay Veteran

yeah, those workers should just work for slave wages like in China

  • IckyPants

Thank you for this wonderfully dimwitted article that blatantly ignores the time frame of the recent economic collapse. I hope plenty of misinformed people are scared enough by it to buy your book.

    • ibelieveinfreedom2

And of course, none of the above listed statistics have absolutely anything whatsoever to do with obama. Keep drinking the kool-aid.

      • Seola

    • Thomas DeMarie

Well when a very large amount of people immediately change their spending habits in light of recent political distress it shows that the government is scaring the people. So one persons spending habits plus another’s plus another’s plus…. you now have a trend that describes how people feel about the president’s and his congresses actions.

  • jartyTek

They used to be until the ‘progressives’ decided that it would be a good idea to put those outlays into the general fund so that they could spend it. As I mentioned elsewhere, this was accomplished by the Democratic Clinton COngress with Al Gore casting the deciding ballot.

    • Gay Veteran

I guess you haven’t noticed that EVERY president since Reagan have spent the SS surplus. The surplus was used to hide the TRUE size of every year’s federal deficit.
So get a clue! There is no difference between Republicans and Democrats.

      • jartyTek

I never made any claim to the contrary….funny, I was under the impression that this thread had to do with how badly Obama is handling the economy. I should ‘get a clue’?

  • Theresa

I can’t stand O. When I posted this article on my facebook, got lots of responses. This was one of them. Are you familiar with the article below, and if so, how would you respond? Start here: In 1981, the supply-siders commandeered the Reagan Presidency and employed their Voodoo economics, as Bush senior had called it in 1980. He was saying that tax cuts would not increase government revenues. The Voodoo failed just as Bush predicted, and the supply-siders turned a 32-year winning streak into a debt disaster that continues to this day. For 20 years, under Reagan and the Bushes, the national debt increased compared to GDP every single year. In most other years it decreased. Twenty years in a row can’t be just an accident, but to understand you need to learn the voodoo strategy. (Why graph Debt / GDP ?)

What’s causing today’s huge deficits? Deficit basics. Top 4 deficit causes.

Bush Senior fought against supply-side debt, so the Republicans didn’t support him and he lost to Clinton, who put an end to supply-side economics. G. W. Bush brought it back full strength, with V.P. Cheney saying “Reagan proved deficits don’t matter.” Currently supply-siders are in full control of the Republican party.

What about Obama? Notice how the debt accelerated during Bush’s last two budget years. Obama’s debt is a continuation of that trend and neither Bush nor Obama are directly responsible for that acceleration. It happened because of the recession. Bush set the all-time record by increasing the debt by $1.1 trillion in 100 days between July 30 and Nov 9, 2008—but that had little to do with his choices.

Recessions cut tax revenues—in this case, dramatically. That accounts for nearly half of the deficit. So blaming Obama for the full deficit is like blaming him for not raising the tax rate to keep tax revenues up. Most of the increased spending is automatic increases in unemployment benefits, food stamps, and social security payments for early retirement. Very little of it is from stimulus spending, and that’s over.

How to respond: “What about Obama? Notice how the debt accelerated during Bush’s last two budget years.”
Try: During the last 2 yrs of Bush’s term, the Dems controlled both houses. Bush did not use his veto as the people had spoken and he signed everything that came across his desk.
Nothing listed as a counter argument as presented to you counters any one of the 33 points made in the article.

  • Gay Veteran

    Lying? project much?

Did you even stop to think of all the medical care and financial support our wounded and disables vets we need for the rest of their lives?!?!?

  • Gay Veteran

uh, and the Detroit politicians are responsible for NAFTA and the other “free trade” agreements???
wow, didn’t know they were so powerful

  • Mark Cline

Mr. Obama didn’t start this problem, but he certainly isn’t helping. We are now $17 trillion in debt. This means that we have reached a point where the interest cost is more than the government brings in to pay it.
Between the national debt and illegal immigration, we are setting up ourselves to a disaster worse than anything we could ever imagine.

  • disillutioned patriot

obama is no different than any other politician.how can you tell a politician is lying…..easy…his lips are moving!!!!!!what about the so called bail out???that was just an embezzlement scam.the politicians and ceos of those corps that recieved all that money, went to the same schools, were probably frat brothers, and belong to the same country clubs.the people of this country need to wake up.if the founding fathers of this once great nation were alive today, they would be the leaders of the 2nd american revolution.the government is spying on our own citizens, why?becouse they know they are totally abusing thier authority and they are nervous and are trying to see if we as americans have finally had enough.the patriot act all but did away with the constitution.wasent the federal income tax an emergency messure to pay for w.w.2.

    • AddisonDewitt

The difference ? HE has purposeful intent on destroying the nation and empowering our enemies..that’s a whole nother level then just being a sleazy politician

  • Midwest Craftsman

It is amazing how the media and the unions can spin the story that Obama is the lowest spending president in over a century. ???

  • cocojo2456

Obama’s intent, all along, was to ruin the American Dream for every citizen, actually to bring down America from the super power it has always been. This lying, ineffective, fraud president needs to be OUT OF OFFICE but no one will address the issue of how America has lost the respect of every country worldwide, friend or foe. Only half the nation realizes that Obamacare will be the final killing blow.

  • Jeff Roland

This is all good info, but when trying to make a point on the merit of facts even one wrong fact can discredit the whole article and does not matter how accurate the rest of the article. Average gas prices in Jan.2008 were 3.03 not 1.85.That right there would make skeptics of this article non-believers.

    • Ralloh

Yes you are right. The statistic is wrong. It actually dipped down to $1.61 at the beginning of 2008. Look it up.

  • ralfyman

Keep in mind that the same policies, which support borrowing and spending, have been employed for decades.

  • mark

Explaining economics and personal responsibility to a liberal is like explaining colors to someone blind from birth

  • SNuss

Afghanistan was a necessary war, because the Taliban harbored Al-Qaida terrorists. Should we have just ignored that?

    • Gay Veteran

Should have been there for about a month.
and yet 10 years later we are STILL there.
and of course anybody there who opposes us is automatically labeled “Taliban” or “terrorists” to frighten the shepple

  • aircraftmech

And the handout voters are too stupid to see the truth. I’m shocked by their ignorance. IQ tests should be given for all future elections to prevent a moron like this from ever holding the highest office in our country again.

  • gene

look aroung you people…open your eyes before it is too late..next is a boot on ground in syria…

  • les

this guy is a BS tea party fear monger.Bush and republicans are totally responsible for this. Obama inherited the planned facist republican mess. And they won,t let him fix it. Beware of wolf,s in sheeps clothing, meaning here the author.

    • John Williams

Obama said he fixed it in 2009. Remember the summer of recovery that never happened? Remember Obama and Biden traveling around the country to the the solar/wind plants and the 5 million green jobs he promised. You know, that multiple billions of tax payer dollars flushed down the toilet?

So tell us, what is it that Obama wants to do that “they” won’t let him do? Pay laid off Americans to dig holes and fill them back up? Spend more money? Raise taxes?

    • AddisonDewitt

      tool…march step boy march step

  • sue sue

My liberal’s friend believed that I am a black president’s haters. Um, I don’t hate the president because he’s black. I hate his ideology and his stupid policies. Um, I’m a minority so, I know how it feels to be a minority. But, this has nothing to do with minority or not. To me, I think my friend is completely brained wash. To my opinion, under Obama’s terms, economy is worst by the minutes.

  • Joshua

If you add in the unfunded liabilities of the Federal Government, our debt per person is $1.1 million. Quite the steep jump.

  • waterflaws

Bush II, Obama, Romney, Clinton; they ALL work for the SAME people, and it’s NOT you and me. Your list, pretty much baselessly, blames it all on “Obama”, which is deceptive, and only serves to rile people (the Right Wing) up against Obama. This detracts from the TRUE creators of this mess and tends to neuter effective action against them. The GOP and “The Tea Party” are creatures of the ruling elite, and offer NO SOLUTIONS to our problems (and the Democratic Party isn’t “better” enough to support, either).
    1) Trickle down NEVER worked.
2)Taxes for most (especially The Rich and Corporate) haven’t been this LOW in DECADES.
3)The Military has become a juggernaut.
4)Regulation of the private sector is minimal because of new de-regulation and lack of enforcement of existing laws.
5)The “banking”/investment sector is also a juggernaut, wreaking havoc in the “lower classes”.
    etc. etc.

    • Lee Roggenburg

You need to re-read the article above the list. Nowhere does he BLAME Obama for these numbers, he even puts the onus on the Fed, not Obama. His point is that based on these facts the economic progress is not there. And it’s kind of hard to argue otherwise. He just thinks its ridiculous to claim the economy is getting a lot better, and I suspect if a Republican were President now the article would read the same exact way.

  • Jack Collins

#4 is blatantly false. The American medium income is still around 50k.

    • Lee Roggenburg

FAMILY median income is around your number, not individual income. Most households have more than one wage earner.
